Lovely atmosphere for lunch, and delicious meal. We tasted several specialties (the wild board, the deer, the duck and the bigos), and the dumplings samplings. Everything was really very good and well presented. There were kids menu too. Highly recommended.

Ate in this special restaurant one week ago, and in the first minute we entered, we got struck by an amazing atmosphere, like going back in time. The restaurant has an amazing interior design, the service was perfect, and the food...oh, the food was excellent. We had a plate of the Old-Polish Bigos, and one of Anielska Maczanka, both accompanied by a good local red wine we took following the waiter recommendation. It was just perfect!!!

Pod Aniołami is an exceptional dining experience! The restaurant exudes elegance and sophistication, creating an atmosphere that is both warm and refined. The food is absolutely outstanding — I had the duck, which was by far the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Negroni cocktail was a masterpiece, crafted with the finest gin and balanced beautifully. The vibes inside are unique and inviting, making it a truly memorable experience. We even brought our 8-month-old baby, who seemed to enjoy the ambiance as much as we did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience in Kraków. After our meal we were treated to a mini shot of “miętowa” which is mint vodka. It’s deliciously smooth and goes down very nicely. That was a very nice touch.

It had been a long time since I've been to a place where the service was attentive and friendly as this. The food came out fast and was very delicious, and they also offered us a complimentary mint vodka which was the perfect way to end a nice meal. This place is probably catered to tourists since the prices are high, but it was definitely worth it.

This restaurant is truly excellent! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is outstanding — the waiters are attentive, kind, and very professional. I’d just recommend booking a few days in advance to make sure you get a table, because it’s really worth it. A unique and rare experience — if you’re in Krakow, you absolutely have to try it!

Perfect. What else to say? Came in specially for the pirogi, and it was worth it! Such a delicate beautiful thing. Perfect balance, great dough. Just, every little bite... Wow. Expensive in relation to others, but my goddess - it is worth it!

We have ordered duck breast and Mutton with patato.Also at the begining we had hot starter - vegetarian. They were all well prepared and deliciouse. There are many options on the menu. The atmosphere is very charming. Paints, accucarcy, music, staff members - all was great. We will come back once we have a chance again...I strongly recommend this place.

Dinner was exceptional!👌 The restaurant is beautiful, a mix of cozy and elegant, the waitstaff is incredible friendly and competent! The food was simply delicious, from the starters to the main dish, every single bite was wonderful and so well done! The food was really delicious and authentic. The service was also very good. Highly recommend this place if you would like to taste good Polish food. The beetroot soup and the dumplings were great starters. We also ordered a few extra plates of potatoes, bread, and asparagus along with our main dishes.

One of the best gluten free dining experiences I’ve ever had - an amazing range of options with traditional care and attention to detail. Recommending borscht with dumplings, venison old Polish style, and definitely the eggnog cake. Great to be in a traditional Polish family run restaurant.

Have you seen Andrew Zimmern's "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations" episode of Kraków? This is the restaurant in that episode that shows the making of their famous cabbage rolls (Gołąbki). I was curious about the delicate cabbage leaves that look like the wings of its namesake (little doves or pigeons). It was everything I thought it would be, and more. I'm so glad that we tried them. It's popular for a reason. I really appreciated the fresh mushrooms, and the filling of buckwheat. It made the rolls so light. It felt like comfort food at its best. Very delicious! They can make them gluten-free as well. In fact, the menu has a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions. They'll ask you right away if you have any allergies to certain foods. The service was great. Everything was explained very well. We couldn't pass up dessert. They all looked so good. My husband decided to get the Basque Cheesecake. It's not on the menu, but they'll let you know if it's available by request. I was tossed between the Egg Nog Cake and the Chocolate Cherry Cake. Both have some form of liquor in it. The Egg Nog Cake or Ajerkoniakowy Tort was my absolute favorite of the 2 desserts. I really liked the eggnog filling. I'd think it would be rum (like the Polish Kogel Mogel punch), but we were told that the vodka works better in their recipe. They were right. It's definitely heavenly. What I love is that there were more locals eating there. I didn't see any tourists. It's kind of off the beaten path. We decided to head on over to Kazimierz since it's not very far from this resraurant. It all worked out perfectly. I'd love to return one day to try other menu items. Everything looked great.

High quality, very unique to me, exactly what I needed. I was lucky enough to visit Krakow just months before the Covid shutdown in December 2019. Being a Celiac I needed a good go to for lunch/dinner. I found Pod Baranem online just like I'm commenting on it now. It hit the spot from the first day I had the beet soup for lunch. During that week I probably ate lunch several times and dinner, twice. All were great. Just going on memory, the soups stuck out for lunch, and a fabulous steak dinner with wine indulged myself and few co-workers. Along with the food, the service was attentive, and the vibe was just cool. I felt like I was in an old school low-key Hollywood spot. The decor, the photos on the wall, the large family-like tables in attendance for Polish "dinner"...it was just cool. But the food was great and most of all, I appreciated a solid spot for a Celiac abroad. I'm really looking forward to being back. This will be my first stop for hot late supper in the back room. A great walkable spot if you're staying at the Sheraton Grand Krakow. I'm also not AI, I'm real. I don't trust these reviews often, but I walked there. I ate there. It was excellent.

Went here for a company dinner and would say that it's good but nothing spectacular. In terms of taste, it was pretty bland, with no impressive flavor or uniqueness. Had the onion soup as a starter to begin with, the beef wellington and ending with the apple pie. And the best would be the dessert even if I don't personally like apple pies. But this one had a nice flavor, and the apples weren't mussy. Beef wellington i expected more from since it didn't have much in flavors going on and also was a bit cold. Especially the potatoes in the dish. Service, on the other hand, was very formal, and everything was served in that manner. Both ask about wine for each dish and filling up the water glass when needed. Local was also very nicely decorated and had a special atmosphere. The restaurant is also located centrally in Krakow.

It’s located inside a magnificent brick cellars of an Old Town tenement house, and it has a cozy, candlelit atmosphere. Recommended by the Michelin Guide, the food is good, but not anything spectacular. The staff are welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. We were welcomed with complimentary bread and herb butter (which was delicious), and then had the Fresh Fine de Claire oysters, wonderfully fresh and clean. The baked oysters that followed had a nice flavour but they were a bit too dry for my taste. The Saint Jacques scallops with shrimp, mussels, almonds, and saffron béchamel were good: delicate, beautifully balanced, but the béchamel was too thick from my point of view. The lamb shank with potato, garlic, and beetroot was perfectly tender and rich. Overall, the place offers a very pleasant experience that I’d happily recommend for anyone looking for a refined French dining in a charming setting in Krakow.

Romantic French restaurant in the city centre in the old basement. Atmosphere is very cozy. But there are lots of stairs so maybe not very convenient for older people. We were there for the first time during Restaurant week. Service was ok but food was a bit average, I’d expect better from such place. Especially dessert was very simple, just pancakes even though presentation with flame was impressive but taste was not so good. Fish was good but I’d expect better presentation, not in the paper. Not sure what they have in the main menu but if the purpose of Restaurant week is to attract customers, then it failed this time.

Just ok - was expecting more for a michelin star. Little expensive too for the quality. Wouldn't exactly say I would return for a meal unless it's for snacks. Wasn't a stand out for me. Bread with truffle butter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - starting dish for free - really good - served warm Lettuce / goat cheese / nut / mango / grissini ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - adored this - grissini was great Foie gras terrine ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - little salty - very rich - good pairing with apricot Escargot ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - didn't love the texture of the escargot - loved the surrounding stew Beef tenderloin Wellington⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - not the best beef Wellington I've had - pretty solid, made me realise the move for this place is small plates

This year we thought to give another chance to this restaurant for the restaurant week. I can say that it was a good idea as the food was amazing and there were no disappointments. The desert was not what I expected, as it was promised to be a profiterole, but instead it was a choux a la creme, which was amazing.

A very nice meal here if you're willing to spend that wee bit extra. We had the wild boar and duck for our main course and both were delicious!

Very Disappointing Experience Despite the Hype We visited without a reservation, hoping to experience the historic restaurant we had read about.. especially since it’s been visited by royalty. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be quite disappointing. As vegetarians, we were dismayed to find there were almost no options available for us. Wanting to at least enjoy the ambiance, we decided to stay just for drinks and desserts. We preferred the upstairs seating area, which felt more like a proper restaurant setting, but the staff insisted it was fully reserved. When we checked upstairs ourselves, it was nearly empty. After some discussion, they allowed us to sit there since we were only staying briefly. The service, however, was unwelcoming. We started with drinks, but the waiter brought the wrong one. When we pointed this out, his response was rude and dismissive. It felt like we were being treated differently, perhaps because we weren’t ordering full meals - though we would have, had there been vegetarian options. We were made to feel so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving after just our drinks, skipping the desserts entirely. This visit was a classic case of a place resting on its reputation rather than delivering quality service or hospitality. Not recommended for vegetarians or for anyone expecting a warm, welcoming dining experience.

Truly DELICIOUS meal in the square of old Krakow. Possibly I had low expectations with all of the touristy spots around - but this was really delicious and beautifully presented. What a lovely find! I had the vegetable soup (sounds boring - but was so yum) and am amazing truffle chicken. Highly recommend!

Friendly and nice location. Great place to watch people in the main square while enjoying Polish beer…which is very nice btw. Check the photo for that I can’t pronounce it. Ok had to come back after finishing everything. You know there are places that have a great location and can be underwhelming…well this is not one of them. The food is honestly incredible. The restaurant itself was stunning, but sadly the experience didn’t match the atmosphere. The food was disappointing—my soup arrived cold—and the service was underwhelming, especially given the high prices. Overall, it didn’t feel worth what we paid.

I visited the restaurant as part of a business dinner. The food and service were fantastic. You can really feel the history around you. A truly beautiful experience in Krakow.

The food and atmosphere at this place was amazing. The dishes may seem sophisticated and expensive but it’s worth noting that you don’t come there regularly, rather to try something new and I assure you’re gonna be delighted with the taste of the food and service. The only objection I have to point out is the fact that my chicken soup was way too cold.

Polish food with a twist. The tomato starter had bursts of flavours. The main duck was perfectly pink and super tasty. Our Polish friend recommended this brasserie, saying it's his favourite in Kraków. Now we know why.

We were recommended this restaurant and unfortunately it was very underwhelming especially for being Michelin rated. We had high hopes for the place based on the information we were given and even reading the reviews on here, it really fell short. The sweet bread was decent, but for a main course you only recieved 3 and a couple shrimp and mostly potato. The sturgeon with fried polenta was awful. The fish itself was horribly pungent and not edible and it was almost like they intentionally put a stick of butter in the bottom of the bowl to help maak the fishiness. I would never recommend it to anyone. It is a cute place and neat old building but unfortunately we were next to a party of 8 people in the basement and could barely hear ourselves talking. The service wasnt anything great or even subpar. The only thing I would say is that the goat cheese appetizer was very good and you get a good portion of mussels even though they were pretty flavorless, unfortunately that was the only positive take away from this. I'm so sad it was such a disappointing experience. Who knows, maybe it's a one off but, I would not go back to try it again, nor would I recommend it.

Great atmosphere, music, service, and of course food! The cheese appetizer in filo was incredible, and my partner loved the beef checks and I loved the mussels. We hope to come back to try dessert as we were too full this time.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our tour guide. After checking out the reviews and seeing such positive feedback, we had to give it a try. We did not have a reservation, which I recommend, because I think we snagged the last table for lunch. The food was pretty good. We got the mixed dumplings, which were soft and succulent; a mushroom soup that was tasty, but not as good as the soup we had at Old Town Restaurant and Wine Bar;I’ll say the same for the pork knuckle, which was good, but did not have the same crispy skin we’ve crunched on before; finally, we had the beef cheeks, which were tender and flavorful, but I frankly think I could make the same dish at home. They had a bunch of homemade vodkas, so we had to try a few. We got blackberry, elderflower, and anise. They were all good, but the anise was just lovely. My hubby, who is not a drinker and three blackberry vodkas!!

The steak tartare is a must try ! As main we ordered beef cheek which was unexpectedly amazingly delicious and I would definitely recommend as a must try too. The pork knuckle was beautifully presented and delicious. Food quality and price is at a good balance and fair ! We reserved a table again on the day before we leaving to taste this great food again !

The food was absolutely delicious. Had the mix dumplings and the beef cheeks in bread. That was the most tender meat I ever had and very flavourful. The apple margarita was like Christmas comimg early, (very pleasantly surprised to see the margarita salt on the rim). Would come back anytime.

A modern, Polish restaurant serving delicious food that’s well presented. The menu had a good range of options, and the food we ate was really tasty and good quality. We enjoyed the garden setting for our table, as it was comfortable and fairly quiet. I’d definitely return again!

Great atmosphere. The starter of horse tartare was a bold surprise. And the slow-cooked beef (8h+) worth every minute. It’s even better when the one who booked the table takes the bill. This time I was merely the sponsor of a lady writer’s evening pleasures.

I visited Karakter after hearing it’s mentioned in the Michelin Guide, expecting something really special. Unfortunately, the food didn’t fully meet those expectations. I ordered a burger (60 PLN) and my brother had ribs (90 PLN). The ribs were tasty and well-cooked — definitely the better choice — but still not quite at the level I’d expect from a Michelin-recommended restaurant. The burger, however, felt quite ordinary. The patty and fries were more like something from a casual bistro than from a fine dining place. Fries in particular were disappointing — soft and unremarkable. The service was nice and the atmosphere was great, but overall, the food quality didn’t match the price or the restaurant’s reputation. If you visit, I’d recommend trying their more creative dishes instead of the burger.

I loved the 8-hour beef ribs they literally melted in my mouth! The other dishes were also beautifully cooked and presented. It was a very busy Friday night, so the drinks and food took a little longer than usual, but overall everything was really good and worth the wait.

Wonderful dinner with one of the best burgers I remember and the really delicious goat cheese icecream. Have the IPA with it. And a very attentive service. Another place in Kraków to come back.

The food was amazing! The duck breast with apple pie was a stand out dish for me, but the ostrich tartare was also realy pleasant in terms of the variety of accompaniments you can customize it with. Service was exceptional and attentive, with our server Ola giving recommendations on the accoutrements for the tartare.

A traditional Polish restaurant with a great variety of dishes, which are all presented very nicely. It has a decent size wine list with a number of local Polish red and white wines to be choose from for anyone with a curiosity of local grape varietals. Nice and present service too!

The food and its presentation, the atmosphere, the service- everything was perfect. Really a nice classy restaurant with tasty food. Absolutely a must if you are in Kraków. The only thing you need to book a table in advance, at least one day before your dinner. They are usually fully booked

The service was deplorable during our visit on November 8th. At first entrance when we got sited we were already wondering if we should leave. We were four, there were 2 tables booked for 4, and when we asked for have the other table of 4, the waitress replied in an unpleasant way that we couldn’t. It took ages to order and decades to pay. The food was good, but overall experience mid.

Located at Grodzka street, one of Kraków’s iconic avenues leading to the Main Square. Very good food quality - all dishes we ordered exceeded our expectations (noddles, steak, salads, soup, fish as well as deserts). Service person appeared inattentive at times, yet that could be put aside. Well decorated interior however the ceiling requires some re-paint very soon. Personnel should avoid loud gossiping. Venue worth recommendation.

A nice and cozy food gem in Grodzka area. The spot is calm and lovely and the staff extremely nice and welcoming. Had some Pierogi with meat (veal dumplings) + Crispy potato pancakes with meat and mushrooms. So rich and tasty :)

I wanted to go to this restaurant before arriving in Kraków, after reading reviews and seeing dishes pictures from other guests. We had an excellent lunch today and I did not regret stepping in. The atmosphere is really enjoyable, quiet music background, decorations are stunning, and the lily flowers on the table were beautiful! We recommend the beef cheeks with silesian potato noodles, the dish was excellent, very tasty and served beautifully! We really felt like we were eating at a Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant! The service was flawless, very pleasant. We had a really good time eating there!

Just arrived in Krakow and trying to find something local which served some local food. This place ended up to be very lovely, good atmosphere and great staff, very engaging and funny. Food was very nice and promoting more polish food than just European style. Very recommended

Superb Polish traditional food with modern accents. The service is on par with any fine dining restaurant.. our waiter's suggestions for both food and wine accompaniments were spot on! If the weather is nice, try and get a table in the garden for beautiful all fresco dining

We enter this restaurant by mistake, just as a fact if being hungry and it was in our way... we weren't disappointed, it was the best decision of the day. We were seated although didn't reserve in advance, and pretty quickly got the menus. We took a plate of duck confi, and one of pork chop, with local wheat beer. It was delicious

Had an amazing dinner experience in this restaurant. Staff was really friendly and professional and kindly set me up with a table even if I didn’t have a reservation. I got the half roasted duck and a soup similar to zurek (similar taste). Both dishes were absolutely delicious! Given the quality of the food, I believe that prices were reasonable. Exceptionally good service! We had a wonderful dining experience — the food was delicious, beautifully presented. The wine list offered plenty of great options, including some locally produced Polish wines that were great to try. Our waiter recommended a sweet dessert wine from northern Poland, near the coastline — and it was excellent! The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, making the whole evening really enjoyable. Great spot for traditional Polish food in the heart of Kraków. We tried pierogi, polish cheese assortment, homemade bread, soup, meat and beetroot dishes… all were delicious and well-prepared. Cozy interior, nice garden area and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Slight wait between courses, but overall a very good experience.

When we first found this restaurant online, we were really excited to finally try traditional Polish cuisine, especially since it’s recognized by the Michelin Guide. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The food was delicious and full of flavor, the atmosphere was cozy, and the location was perfect — especially if your hotel is in the city center. However, what completely overshadowed all the positive aspects of our experience was the attitude of the waiter at the moment of payment. It felt as though he was insisting that we had to leave a tip, without really giving us the option to decide for ourselves. With the card terminal already in his hand, it seemed like we were almost being forced to pay extra. Of course, we understand perfectly well that in a restaurant of this level, leaving a tip is common and expected — that’s not the issue. The point is that a tip should be a personal choice, depending on how satisfied you were with the service, not something assumed or imposed. It wasn’t a matter of arrogance or rudeness, perhaps just a wrong way of asking — but unfortunately, that moment somehow ruined the overall impression of an otherwise excellent restaurant.

Excellent service from Carolina! Onion soup and mushroom soup followed by a delectable cheese board with a 2018 Bordeaux. Soups were exquisite! Beautiful music and decor. We recommend and we will return!

Excellent food. We were looking for a tasting menu in Krakow based on Polish food and here is perfect for that. The restaurant is well designed, service was very good, excellent explanation of each course. We had the 9 course tasting without the drinks pairing. Had some good cocktails to start and bottle of wine with food. Wine starts from €28/bottle. All 9 courses were delicious, perfectly sized, see the pictures. We were seated in the basement, which is a really nice space, but most the tables around us were empty which made the atmosphere a little quiet but the food was worth it. Chef came to say hello at the end too which was very nice. 👋

We have got there on a NY day and we were still served. Our waiter was really knowledgeable about the food and matching wines. Scrumptious food with melting rosemary butter as a candle was a great treat to start the new year with! Thank you! N. B. If in doubt, I highly recommend to try the brownie - I'm not a person with a sweet tooth, yet it stole my heart!

Best meal we have ever had, nothing compares after this restaurant!!!!!!! A MUST for foodies! My boyfriend and I visited ART restaurant back in October but we have only got round to writing a review now. We had the most amazing dining experience. We booked this restaurant well in advance as we had seen so many good reviews on here. We had opted for the five courses with wine pairing but when we arrived we changed our minds as we preferred the food on the seven course menu (which was more like ten courses with lots of extras) The wine/spirit pairing was worth every penny too! Matteo (Matthew) Was our waiter for the evening, his knowledge of wine and food was outstanding and he was so Profesional, the best waiter we have ever had- thank you! ALL the food was above and beyond expectation, each course was just incredible. I have seen a few comments on here saying the portions are too small and you will leave hungry.... WOW they must have a HUGE appetite as myself and my boyfriend (who has a large appetite) left very full and satisfied. It is fine dining not a hungry horse! For this standard of food you would pay x5 as much back home with a wine pairing. It was a lovely treat on our holiday and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and service! We cant wait to come back and have told so many friends and family about this place. We will never forget our night at ART thank you!!!!!!! The only downside = nothing since has been held as good!

Great taste of polish cousin presented in a beautiful form. The lunch menu of 5 courses is a steal and I highly recommend it. The staff is really nice and very professional. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Krakow.

We visited the place upon the recommendations, and it did live up to our expectations. It's really atmospheric, high-quality cuisine and utterly decent service. My colleagues and I were attended by a great person - Miroslaw - ready to help and eager to detail about the place, dishes, and local specialities. I definitely recommend the place as a place of elegant authenticity and enjoyment!!!

This is a really nice restaurant. The staff is so service minded and accommodating. We had the 9 course degustation menu, and the highlights were the leek dumplings, the foie gras and the parsley (lime) ice cream. All so very delicious. The very high note, however, was our server. She explained to us in great detail why she had selected the wines and spirits to the dishes. Not just what they are but WHY. We really enjoyed our more than 4 hour long evening and we highly reccommend Art Restaurant to anyone wanting to try Polish cuisine in a modern and reinvented fashion.

Nolio is a fantastic spot, especially during current chanterelle season, when the menu features plenty of creative, flavorful dishes that really make the most of this ingredient. Everything I tried was fresh and beautifully prepared. Potato croquettes were my fav! The pizza dough was a bit too soft for my personal taste, but the flavors were still spot on and well-balanced. Stopped for lunch on our last days in Poland, the of us shared mixed ham and cheese, tuna tartar and croquettes. My dad had a pepperoni pizza, all of it was lovely. We opted for a bottle of dry rose also very nice. The service and description of food was very good.

The margarita pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever had, even after visiting Italy top to bottom. The dough is excellent, and the sauce was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and the service was excellent. The overall experience was so great, I had to come twice during my trip to krakow. Keep up the good work!

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for for a long time – authentic Italian pizza made over fire. After my trip to Italy, I learned what pizza should really taste like, and now I know for sure that if I want pizza in Krakow, this place will be on my list. I also want to mention the friendly staff and the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. Everything is top-notch!

The food was great as always! Me and my husband had two pizzas. My friends got two pasta dishes that were very good as well. I had the Finferli e pancetta pizza that was available on the day but it’s not the normal menu and it was amazing! The only thing that could be improved is the line at the door. Since this place is super popular there is always a queue, so I do recommend to always get a reservation. Us and another group had a reservation, but it took the hostess around 10 minutes before coming to talk to us, so that was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, the place is great, service at the table is great and the food is delicious!

I ordered through Wolt, and the pizza arrived cold. The edges were bitter and burnt, while the center was oddly thin and flimsy. There was barely any tomato sauce and just a tiny pices of cheese in the center. To top it off, all the basil was burnt. Capricciosa also had same issues. Capricciosa had same issues. We left with bunch of burnt crust and empty stomach, really disappointed.

We waited more than 1h before we were seated. We had to ask several times when we can be seated, because no one came to check in on the customers waiting in line and didn't bother informing waiting customers on the expected waiting time. The queue was incredibly long too whilst waiting customers could see a lot of people leaving the restaurant and vacant tables. The waiter didn't know much either. This all created for a bad service experience for customers waiting in line. It seems service was only reserved for seated customers and not those about to be seated which seems a bit odd. However their food was top notch. Would i wait that long again; not sure. But yes, we did enjoy the meals. We ordered mozarella with asparagus (salad), ravioli with lamb (pasta), Capra e Cipolla (pizza), Aglio (pizza) Nolio icecream with Pistacchio topping (dessert). Overall 4 star rating mainly because of the food quality.

It is a good selection to get local foods in a nice environment. We liked the dumplings very much but couldn’t enjoy too much the grilled lamb which was little bit burnt. The service was prompt and got seated without waiting. The restaurant has wide variety of beers which are very interesting to enjoy with friends. The food portion seemed small compared to price otherwise everything was great.

We got in just before rush hour so we could get in with 15 minute wait without a reservation. But the place was packed and remained packed when we were leaving so I recommend you book before you go. The food was absolutely amazing, we tried traditional Polish food, Bigos starpolski (the beef stew in the bread), pierogis (dumplings, but more fillings) and placek po zbojnichu (beef stew with a potato pancake) with some polish beer. The atmosphere was amazing and service was top notch too. We got given some cherry liquor at the end of the meal too. Highly recommend it :)

This is where we had our first dinner in Krakow! We booked couple of weeks in advance, which I recommend you to do otherwise there might be a queue. Everything we had was super tasty. The pork knuckle is impossible to finish, you might need to take it back home 😅 a group came at some point to play live music, which was very pleasant! Definitely in my top restaurants in krakow.

It’s a restaurant offering local Polish cuisine. It was busy when we visited on Friday evening but were still able to find a seat, the restaurant being quite spacious. We ordered the pork knuckle with chips which was okay but enjoyed the cabbage stuffed with meat. The server was friendly and cheerful and we were served cherry vodka at the end of the meal. Would recommend for traditional Polish fare.

Our one tour guide recommended this resaurant with the sales pitch: "Serve big glasses of beer and big meat food" (he knew his audience) and it didn't disappoint. An enormous meat platter with various additional sides, 1lt steins of beers and 0.5l karaf of wine put us back less than £70. The food was so good we went back for lunch the next day (only soup this time) and that was just as good. The service was excellent and the outfits adorable.

Delicious food and reasonable priced. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be but unfortunately I think they’re a bit understaffed/overworked so struggle to be as attentive as you’d like. Great atmosphere and decor, the place even has what appears to be a vomit sink 😂 in true keeping with the theme of an old beer and banquet hall. I’d suggest making a reservation as there was an huge queue for walk ins. Overall a lovely restaurant and I would recommend.

Delicious food, great atmosphere — just clarify the extras My girlfriend and I had a lovely evening here. The mixed grill was packed with flavour, and the beer was excellent a perfect pairing. We really enjoyed the overall vibe and would happily recommend the place. One thing to note: we weren’t informed that the salad and fries were charged separately, and only found out when the bill arrived. We were charged for two portions of salad we didn’t eat, and would’ve declined had we known they weren’t included. A bit more transparency on that front would’ve made the experience flawless.

Nice place with excellent and friendly service. The highlights of the meal were the herring tartar and lemon sauce in baked cod. Definitely worth a visit. If I ever came again, I would come hungrier and taste the half roasted duck.

We went around 6 pm without a reservation and found a table immediately. By the time we were leaving around 7:30, people were already lining up outside. Since we were two, we finished the whole duck ourselves. It was perfectly cooked. Except for the starchy potatoes, we really liked all the side dishes. The sauces were delicious as well. The place, the food, and the waiter’s guidance were all excellent. We definitely recommend it.

A place off the tourist paths but very popular — reservations are a must. I was lucky to get a table. Very pleasant and professional service. The menu is based on duck dishes. I recommend the marinated duck carpaccio. Excellent local wines — Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir.

It was a wonderful experience. The duck breast was excellent! Although we didn't have a reservation and were only in Krakow for one day, there were no empty tables, but Yorgo managed to help us. I would like to thank him again. Our waitress, Viktoria (apologies if I misremembered the name), was very kind, cheerful, and great to chat with. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Krakow, but this time I'll make a reservation 😊

I had a salad with duck. It wasn’t particularly good to my taste. The duck was cold, and it came with sweet cranberry sauce and oranges. I usually enjoy meat with sweet notes, but this combination just wasn’t perfect. My husband had duck with potato dumplings. The portion wasn’t very big — if you’re hungry, it probably wouldn’t be enough. Still, it tasted fine. The service was slow, but the staff were kind and polite. On a Sunday evening they found a table for us without a reservation, although it’s usually better to book one in advance.

We liked everything. This place was recommended to us by Google and we did not regret it! Everything is very tasty and atmospheric! The staff is friendly, even more so - the waitress caught up with us on the street to return forgotten things!!! Thank you again!

First of all, the restaurant has a great location in the old town, and the garden (in which you can eat) is adorable, perfect for lunch during a sunny day (or diner when it’s still hot). The inside is also really well decorated and very pretty ! Plus the restrooms are clean and very cute (they have little ducks painted on the walls). But most importantly, the food is stunning. You can guess by the restaurant’s name that they specialize in duck, and we were not disappointed! The duck skin is crispy but the meat is really tender, it’s perfectly cooked and not even a bit dry. The duck burger was also really good, and the fries that came with it were excellent to say the least. Even though the restaurant’s specialty is duck, they have many other polish dishes available! The one we tried was amazing as well, tender chicken, delicious potato dumplings. The sauces that came with the plates were also great! The food quantity is perfect, satisfying your hunger without your stomach hurting afterwards. Also, I think all the ingredients are fresh and high quality :) I highly recommend !!

Well the google reviews were right, definitely 5* The big breakfast is huge, I struggled to finish it and I'm a eater 😁 I've been here three times now and I have tried something different each and all are fantastic with lots of different favours, cottage cheese was fantastic that came with poached egg n spinach breakfast and the Sweet corn soup with popcorn was very unique. Only one thing they could definitely improve on the is the italian style coffee 7/10

The food was incredibly good, the dumplings were so so delicious. We came here because we read many good reviews and now we understand why! The place is really small so you may have to wait a few minutes to get your table (we waited 5 minutes). Definitely worth it. Also, the staff was really nice and the prices were affordable.

WOW place! The staff is great, smiling, friendly and commucative. The food is cheap and VERY tasty, meals are big, main course is enough to feel absolutely great. All done with the soul. Totally budget friendly place, it was recommended to me by a random guy from street from Brazil, n it was really stunning to see a queue 🤤🤣 in poland never saw one Infront of a restaurant, so you know it's great place. I took the daily special there its great beetroot soup n chicken cutlet with a yugurt or curd sauce whatever you call that. 😝

First time visiting here for the “Irish” breakfast I heard so much about. Food was very good and portion was very big. Only small thing was toast was a bit cold. Would be nice to have a tea in the price too. Definitely will fill you up though with wedges and hash browns added to the more traditional elements of an Irish breakfast. Meat quality was very good, tasty sausages and really great to get a back rasher in krakow! Place was very busy and a bit chaotic as it’s small but there were plenty of staff and turnover of people was fast. It was pretty windy and cold so the draught from the door did affect my wife’s enjoyment. We got lucky in not having to queue but there was one forming as we left and as it was 11 o’clock on a Tuesday that’s a testament to the place. It’s more a 4.5 for me.

We went last friday to this milk bar around 5 or 6 in the afternoon — kind of an in-between time between lunch and dinner — and we absolutely loved it. We ordered a breakfast with black pudding, the daily menu (which included a soup and a cordon bleu), a panini, and some pancakes for dessert — everything was delicious. The food was amazing, the place itself is lovely, and the atmosphere is really nice. But what truly stood out was how well they treated us. Everyone was super kind, and the waitress in particular was incredibly friendly and attentive, constantly making sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, it’s really cheap and really good quality of the food. In short: great place, great food, and outstanding service. Just go, seriously! 😄 Love from Spain 🇪🇦

This is a must. We went here 3 out of 4 mornings for breakfast, wish we had found it so we could have had 4. The service is outstanding, and the food is delicious. You may have to wait outside for a table but it's worth it. We will certainly be returning on our next visit to Krakow.

5/5 all across the board: Perfect food, varied menu of all Polish classics delivered swiftly and so, so good. Wide offering of beers, good seasonal specials. The service is super direct, friendly and effective. You can wait out front if it’s full, and they give you reasonable and honest waiting estimations. I would recommend reserving if possible. We had a slight mistake in our order but they set it right immediately and without hassle. There are children’s seats available is you need them.

Obviously wanted Polish food whilst in Poland, so after reading all of the great reviews, we came here for dinner. Loved the cosy setting, the staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was not only massively portioned, but very tasty. We had the Potato pancake with pork stew. After a busy day of flighting and walking around, it was just what we needed. Would definitely recommend it.

Very good Polish home-type food. Giving the food five stars because while it could maybe be even better, the price/quality ratio is extremely hard to beat. Service was good for the most part, they just forgot one drink and we had to wait a bit for the main. Cute inside.

I was there in January, my first visit to Krakow but it won’t be the last time. I literally have fallen in love with this city. I just had a dinner here by accident, turned out great accident. The atmosphere was amazing, polish authentic. Food was tasty too. We ordered different dishes and all of them were delicious. The ladies which worked there were very nice and friendly. Love them. I definitely will be going back there soon and recommend them to everyone.

What a discovery! On August 30, 2025, we had our first meal here and were so impressed. They use local, fresh ingredients to create a wide variety of delicious, traditional Polish dishes. The atmosphere is wonderful, too.

A fine dining experience with unfortunately not so great tasting food. I was delighted with how elegantly the waiters were delivering fine dining service. The goose dumplings were tasty enough, but not mind-blowing. The veal was beautiful but unfortunately extremely tough and with an unpleasant green sauce. My friend's goose leg was very delicious and expertly prepared, with a clean tasting reduction sauce and microgreen salad on top. Service was elevated and elegant.

Had my first dinner in Kraków in this exceptional restaurant. In a vaulted Gothic-style dining room, specialty is a blended traditional x modern mix of Polish cuisine. My pick for this meal was: Potato dumplings, Bursztyn cheese sauce, seasonal vegetables as a starter ; Seasoned beef tenderloin, spinach, black pepper sauce as the main course + Pink Forest Spritz 0% mocktail. Everything was top-notch! The only con was that I went there initially for the Grey Goose (their signature dessert) but I was so full that I could not have it.. So if you're ever in town, try to go easy on all their gems to have enough space for that Grey Goose :)

Fine dining at the heart of old town. We had the five course menu with wine pairings. Highly recommended, excellent food and interesting ideas in the menu. One of the standouts for me was the lime and basil sorbet. Smoked boar was also excellent.

I recently enjoyed a nice dining experience at Szara Ges in Poland. The service was outstanding, and I highly recommend the deer tenderloin, cream of green vegetable soup, braised veal, and seasoned beef tenderloin. Finally I had the Grey Goose dessert.

A modern, unforgettable take on Polish cuisine! Szara Gęś completely redefines what Polish food can be. Traditionally hearty and heavy, here it’s transformed into light, creative, beautifully balanced dishes that feel indulgent without weighing you down. Every bite was art — both in flavor and presentation — and I genuinely can’t choose a favorite dish because they were all extraordinary. We started with cocktails: the Basil & Grapefruit Fizz, which was bright, refreshing, and absolutely delicious, and the Lumiere Spritz, complete with delicate snapdragon flowers floating in the glass — almost too pretty to drink (almost). The comber z jelenia (venison loin) starter blew me away. It was so unique, with incredible textures and a flavor combination that was earthy, rich, and unlike anything I’ve had before. For mains, the potato dumplings in Bursztyn cheese sauce with seasonal vegetables were pure comfort in an elevated form, while the dry-aged beef tenderloin with spinach and pepper sauce was cooked to absolute perfection. Even the homemade bread with butter was so good it deserves its own round of applause. Sides like caramelized carrots with hazelnuts and brown butter and roasted potatoes with garlic and herbs were flawless. We didn’t leave a single crumb. And the dessert? An absolute showstopper. Their signature Szara Gęś arrives as a whimsical cotton candy nest with chocolate feathers and a white chocolate egg filled with a silky mousse, a mango “yolk,” and a nest of dark chocolate cookie crumble. Taking all those elements in one bite was *ridiculously* good — the perfect marriage of flavors and textures. The service was just as memorable. Our server was so kind, warm, and knowledgeable, offering great suggestions and letting us explore the stunning second floor after our meal. Each room has its own theme, and my favorite was the lush, maximalist-but-not-tacky Amazon room. Whoever designed it — please decorate my house. The restaurant is filled with accolades and awards and pictures of famous individuals who ate there- no surprise why! Seriously and truly, hats off and the absolute utmost highest compliments to the chef!!! Chef, you are a true artist!!! We sat outside on a perfect day, but inside is breathtaking. This was a meal I’ll never forget, worth every single penny, and a must-visit if you’re in Kraków.

Not really busy on a Monday morning. Really nice decor that makes it feel cozy. And the staff was super nice! The person at the checkout was really friendly

A brilliant concept, gorgeous surroundings and great food options. After eating a lot of trad Polish food this mostly vegetarian restaurant was most welcome. Pay a set fee, get between four and six items in your plate. This could be a mess, but the servers are mindful of overloading and flavour mingling and everything is super clean and fresh. The juices are worth a shout too. Affordable, fast and fresh. Well worth it!

Excellent experience!! The food is very worth the money, it’s not expensive but yet delicious and filling. The stuff is very friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, I loved everything about the design, feels cozy and natural. The food was not what we saw the day before, fresh cooked chicken legs. The choice was repetitive. But worse the hot food was barely warm. Some roasted potatoes were partially raw. The salad was room temperature. Only the tomato soup was tasty and somewhat hot. The price is reasonable but the food was not worth it. I would not eat there again.

Food was more limited that what was suggested on the Internet. I asked if they have chicken or fish or anything protein wise all they had was tuna salad and herring salad and some ham. I had the 4 option salad selection but the selection was not 60plus as suggested on the Internet. Not really worth it but the cakes looked nice. Pomegranate juice was fresh.

Great place with a relaxed, cafeteria-style vibe. The concept is really nice, and the room is beautifully decorated with a glass roof and lots of plants. The food is tasty, healthy, and fresh, with a wide variety of salads at very reasonable prices. You can choose how much you want to eat, making it a great option even if you’re not very hungry.

Yet another Michelin recommended restaurant which is not at all bad but also not great. The zucchini flower we had was not bad, but it was paired with a spicy salsa that is overpowering for this part of the vegetable. My main dish again was not bad, it was called ravioli but was more like pierogi. It was quite dry and not that flavourful, plus I had pierogi at the bistro at my hotel (H15 Luxury Palace) and much preferred it for comparison. The thing that really threw me off is my dad's pasta. He chose the seafood pasta which was undercooked (for reference, we like our pasta al dente) and the shrimp he was given was barely bigger than the shrimp you use for shrimp rolls, and smaller than cocktail shrimp to give you an idea. Usually, in seafood pasta, the seafood is sort of the star of the dish and you expect to get a certain quality. For a michelin recommended restaurant, this was disappointing. Overall nothing bad, but nothing great. The service was wonderful though.

Farina in Krakow was the perfect choice for celebrating my 41st birthday during our trip last May. We found it through the Michelin Guide, and it absolutely lived up to the recommendation. The service was flawless—warm, attentive, and thoughtful from start to finish. A fantastic Austrian wine was suggested and paired beautifully with our dishes: tagliatelle with lobster, tuna carpaccio, and asparagus with cheese, all prepared to perfection. As a lovely surprise, I received a complimentary ice cream dessert for my birthday. It was a truly memorable evening and an unforgettable dining experience!

Loved our dinner at Farina! We had surf and turf, octopus, fish stew, and battered mussels. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. Cozy atmosphere and great service. Alice, our server, was lovely and even brought out a birthday dessert with a candle!

The place has a really nice interior design. The waiter was nice and the food arrived quite fast. We order Bigos, the portion was more than enough even though it looks not so big and it was really tasty.

The food is very tasty and beautifully served! Camembert cheese was fantastic with unusual combination of letuce salad, nuts and sweet fruit/berries. The service is fast and friendly. Everything is clean. We are definitely coming back. Please, note that the bathroom is downstairs, so it might be hard to go down for people with special needs.

One of the best food experiences I had in Kraków! Variety of pierogis, pork neck and duck dumplings. Delicate, beautiful and very delicious. However, the pheasant soup would be better without the overpowering nutmeg mace. Great wine list. Good, albeit smallish, gin tonics. Two sidewalk tables, huge cellar and a backyard with a few tables. I appreciate those who still give you a liqueur with the bill, in this case delicious wisniowka. Recommended!

Fantastic food flavor and casual atmosphere - a true gem! Most Michelin restaurants focus too much on ambiance over taste, but Albertina is an exception. The lobster was superb, and their 30-year-old STARKA whisky impressed even my Scottish friends. No stuffy dress code or drawn-out tasting menus here. Just an excellent, relaxed dining experience with a great drinks selection. An ideal spot for a casual business dinner. All my colleagues and friends thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Albertina. We'll definitely be back for more outstanding food and drinks in this unstuffy yet upscale setting. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed in our meal and overall experience, especially considering our group of 6 was the only party in the restaurant for 80% of the time we were there. It felt as if the service was disappointed that only 1/2 our party drank wine and that we were not choosing the tasting menu. (I have food allergies and ruined it for the group) There were only a few cocktails offered (one of which was not available at the time) but there was not one I was interested in. I asked for a different cocktail and was told “No, we do not do that here. We are a wine restaurant.” I was then presented with the cocktail menu but the server then walked away with it. We spent well over $1,000 dollars at the restaurant and between the service, food, flexibility and overall experience, it was not worth it. The food was good and the presentation was beautiful but not for the price and experience.

Fantastic find, buried into Krakow's old town, it's a hidden gem for seafood specialties. Very kind and accommodating staff, great bread, reasonable prices, great lobster and wine selection. Service was definitly a highlight, dishes are served all at the same time with a good description. Only let down was the beef tenderloin that tasted a little too gamey. Otherwise thumbs uo

IG: @kamelja I try to stay as honest as possible to keep my integrity in my reviews and I feel its rare I write that i do not recommend a place. As much as I was hoping for this to be a true Michelin guide recommended experience, it was really sub par. It was way overpriced especially considering the service charge at 12.5% — for what we got, it was not nearly worth this surcharge. Starting from the beginning - the service was simply poor. We were shown where we can hang one coats, but no one helped with getting them taken to the coat check section. The servers showed us the table but no one helped us get seated. Food wise — we got two tasting menus (we weren’t allowed to have one person with a tasting menu and another ordering separate dishes). The dishes were decent but nothing was outstanding. The only one I’d highlight is the lamb — but even that one was not as soft as it should be. The cod fish was too dry. The cod was just mediocre. The lobster ravioli’s dough was too hard. The dessert — underwhelming. The pastry tasted old and didn’t even crack as you expected it to. Then the wines that we were oversold on: with the glasses priced as bottles you’re used to. I don’t want to sound cheap, I splurge on food, but the meal’s quality and the price at the end with the barely mediocre service was more than disappointing. I also said I am chocolate intolerant yet at the end we got two portions of chocolate petit-fours. This for me is a huge no no. And speaking about the wine, it also left us a bit surprised. We told our server we’ll be ordering a La carte, not wine pairing, and we didn’t see anyone come to ask us about what we’d like till our starters were about to show up. Also, need to mention the restaurant was almost empty — only 3 tables including ours were taken. We left really underwhelmed, especially since someone else recommended this place to us and we had high expectations. Plus, again, this place is on the Michelin guide. It feels like the quality might have dropped since the judges visited the place. I truly regret leaving so much money here, it didn’t deserve it. I will say though, the lamb dish was the best from the whole menu.

I had dinner at this restaurant. To be honest, I hadn't expected it to be a good restaurant until starting the course. However, dinner in the restaurant was one of my best Kraków memories now. Because all the dishes were very delicious and complicated construction's tastes. Especially, I was attracted to dessert. I'd never eaten such one before; really delicate.

Beautiful setting, right on the city square. Unfortunately, the service is terrible—no one seems to care, even while standing right by your table. My friend accidentally spilled her drink, and none of the servers who witnessed it came over to help. After our meal, it was almost impossible to order dessert. We sat with empty plates for over an hour while multiple servers walked by, yet no one asked if we wanted another drink or even the check. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Drinks on the other hand were fabulous. Only if we could get another one …

We stayed at a hotel where the breakfast was here, we had a good choice and it was served hot and quite quick too. We really enjoyed it.

A beautiful restaurant in the old town square. The food was beautiful! Full of taste and flavour. The service was good however the did bring the starter and main out together which felt like a prompt to eat and go. I got sat toward the bar and entrance to constantly had people walking past which was a bit uncomfortable and it meant to couldn’t experience the whole dining experience

Very disappointing. And rude staff. We came and setted but no want take our order . And each time, we ask them that we are ready to order . They reply, just wait . Without saying please. Half our And no body took our order since no body care. Finally I told the waiter please can you take our order. She replied that the kitchen is close. Very very very bad attitude and service. I told the restaurant manager about what happened. She didn't reply to me and not said sorry!! She was very rude . She does not even deserve to service people. They .ake our experience bad. I am leaving a five star rating especially for our waitress Julia, who was great help for our practicing Polish and overall a lovely person that we had a nice chat with! Overall, the atmosphere was very chilled and food looked great. We only had a few beers but enjoyed the spot and the service!

Food’s fine, the interior is pleasant too, but the staff… either totally unprofessional or they just don’t care. A couple next to us left without anyone ever taking their order; two friends across from us sat for half an hour at a table still full of dirty dishes from the previous guests; a group of women who came in just to chat over a cup of coffee ended up waiting a good 50 minutes for their order... 🤦‍♂️

We had breakfast at Wentzl and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was cozy and charming. We were especially impressed by the service, our waitress, the blonde lady who served us, was incredibly sweet and friendly, making our breakfast even more enjoyable. Overall, the experience was good — the service was attentive and the food was beautifully presented. That said, a few of the flavours were a bit too salty for my personal taste. It's also worth noting that the full tasting menu is a lengthy experience; ours took over four hours, so I’d recommend guests be prepared to spend at least 3.5 hours or more. While the quality was high, I did find the pricing to be on the steeper side compared to other two Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, and it wasn’t entirely clear what justified the premium. Still, it’s a memorable meal in a refined setting.

My dinner at Bottiglieria was absolutely sublime — truly one of a kind. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by every member of the staff. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made the evening feel special from start to finish. The food was outstanding — precise, creative, and incredibly refined. Every dish was a work of art. The wine pairing was also perfectly done. The sommelier team enhanced the flavors of each course without overpowering the food. Their knowledge and approach really elevated the experience. I was celebrating my birthday, and although I appreciated the gesture of receiving a balloon with dessert, I felt it lacked the same level of elegance shown throughout the rest of the meal. Something like a small birthday cake, a glass of sparkling wine in the beginning, or even a handwritten birthday note would have felt more thoughtful. I paid 1948,50 zlotys, which I consider a fair price for such a high-level gastronomic experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable fine dining evening in Kraków.

I really liked dining here during my visit to Krakow! The two dishes that stood out were the "Trout and Saffron" and the "Game Season" dishes. The staff was also extremely friendly. It didn't feel as stuffy as other 2 star places (which I appreciated). Overall this was an amazing 2 star experience and I look forward to visiting again!

We visited the restaurant in may. The expectations were obviously high as this is the only 2-star restaurant in Poland, priced correspondingly high. The food was very good, although we didn’t find it really worth the high price. When compared to other Michelin restaurants in Europe we visited this year it was rather bland. The thing that really spoiled the experience was that the restaurant charges additionally for drinking water - when you’re paying over 1700 PLN for tasting menu with wine pairing, water really should be included.

What an exceptional experience. So much better than many European 2 stars I’ve been before. I loved the Polish wine pairing, which brought whole experience to the next level. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Cracow.

Tonight we enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu, but I think with all the in between bits, it was probably closer to 10 or 11 courses. Loved it all. Starting off, the amuse bouche was phenomenal, and every dish after that impressed me more. The staff were lovely, and took the time to explain all the foods and answer my questions. Could not have enjoyed the meal more. I’ve been eaten at nearly all the Michelin recommended restaurants in Krakow over time, and I think this may have been the best meal I’ve had on this trip.

We were not expecting to eat a five course meal when we entered this restaurant, but I am so glad we did! The staff were great and very attentive! The waiter found a great wine for us and always made sure we had our glasses full. Definitely visiting this place again the next time I am in Krakow! The ravioli, the meat and desert was our favourite!

We ordered a seven-course menu, but in reality, there were many more dishes — we even lost count! This is truly one of the best gastronomic experiences of our lives. A real celebration of taste and atmosphere!

Great tasting menu but expensive whine menu We ordered the 5 courses tasting menu and were surprised with 9 courses with very tasteful food. We really enjoyed every course, with many taste surprises. Why do we rate it five stars is because of the wine pairing. The wine pairing is almost as costly as the food (100 euro for 5 glasses). Normally the wine and food strengthen eachother. Unfortunately it didn't, that was a disappointment. Wine and food seemed two separate worlds. Note: there is 12,5% mandatory service charge added to the bill. There was no a la carte menu

What an absolutely stunning fine dinning establishment. We ordered two from each of the courses, starter, first course, main course, and desert paired with a glass of white wine. Each dish was gorgeously displayed, the food delicious, and the atmosphere refined. The dishes that stood out the most from each course were the Salmon Sashimi (starter), Ravioli (first course), Turbot fish (main course), and coffee tart (dessert). I’d like to add that there were three complimentary courses provided to us. A pre-starter salmon tartar which was excellent, an asparagus pre-main, and a pre-dessert (strawberries, tomato, red pepper, and cream— this was a stunning dish and should be on the menu!) Service was top-notch, with attention to detail. The pacing of the meal was perfect. Not too fast with dish after dish but just right with about 10-15min in between to enjoy the taste and digest. I can’t wait to return as I know we will. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience.

Not ideal for a family dinner. The place feels more like a student bar—lacking ambience and comfort. Food portions are average and don’t quite justify the price. Taste is okay, nothing special. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and service was good. There are definitely better family-friendly cafés around Kraków.

I was impressed by the attention to detail and beauty in the interior design, plant arrangements, and overall cafe atmosphere. It’s minimalistic yet everything feels perfectly curated, creating a very comfortable space. Although I was tempted by the shakshuka, this time I ordered the rose tahini latte and chocolate miso cake. If you’re Japanese, I definitely recommend these! The latte had a subtle spice that made it delicious, and the cake was rich with plenty of nuts. The honey drizzle wasn’t too sweet, and the miso aroma that lingered was absolutely amazing. One thing to note: there is no restroom here, so make sure to use one nearby before visiting. Overall, a high-quality and wonderful cafe experience!

Literally the best Veggie burger that I have ever had… I mean WOW. Nice place, I went a monday morning and it was so calm, jazz music on the background, really nice waiters, good price and you can see that the products are fresh, tasty and home made. I paid 40 Zloties which is 9€ for the veggie Hamburger. So many veggie options. I highly recommend this place 😊🌺

My friend and I went two days in a row to get breakfast there and we weren’t disappointed one single time! The girls who work there were extremely friendly and nice to us (one of them took the third picture 🥰) and made us a delish snack to stark the day! Masala chai was super yummy and they made a great Italian espresso too. The wait was short and sweet and the food was just as tasty as it looks in the pics! Highly recommended for a quick visit or brunch

It was a great place to eat. Great location. Great intern design. The waiters are very nice and helpful people. Lot's of chooses. It also has an 'Michelin' reward. The food looks really great and there is not an con. So I think it's one of the best/ the best restaurant in the Jewish quarter. If you visit the Jewish quarter in Krakow, you probably want to go eating here once.

Food is ok. Service is ok. Generally recommended to look for other places, but if you must eat in the center, then this place is recommended. We had the potato pirugi and something else which we though was a pirugi, but really was shefzale with cabbage. Add some salt to the pirugi and they are great. Really wish they knew English to explain about the oils they bring with it.

Awesome place! Fancy cocktails and beautiful interiors! My friend organized birthday party there and manager was very helpful. We could basically adjust place to our needs, there was no problem with our own cake, decorations etc. Ps. If you choose to sit next to the window you can see “szeroka” streat, full of restaurants in old fashion style.

The leek quiche was the best quiche I've ever had. The menu was a rather unusual collection of Polish, French, and Swedish dishes. There's a story there somewhere. Large selection of french wines. The service was absolutely outstanding.

Snails and bouillabase soup tastest like perfect French cooking. The crème brûlée v tasty. A real find in a busy tourist area.

The restaurant is often very busy, especially on weekends, but the wait is worth it for their unique dishes that blend international flavors with modern twists. The casual dining style, combined with excellent cocktails and craft beers, makes it a great place to unwind with friends. Plac Nowy 1 is in the old Jewish Ghetto area and it was one of our favorite restaurants that we've tried in Krakow. The Cheeseboard was delicious with various local cheeses. The tender Porkbelly was delicious - melts in your mouth! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely a great trendy restaurant to visit if you're visiting Krakow.

Made reservations because for a Saturday night you need to. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our waitress was nice, and took our drink orders. Lemonade with strawberry would have been cheaper for 3 if we had ordered a bigger bottle, but now we know. The “hummus” was weird. Basically huge beans and no hummus in sight. Tasty enough, but check out the photo. The Korean chicken was a bit of a flop. Fried chicken with a dull sauce and some kimchee doesn’t make it really Korean. The regular burger had a better value and more flavor. One of the specials of the house was the oriental seasoned ribs. While they were nicely cooked and fall off the bone, there was a lack of flavor. The odd dipping sauce didn’t add anything to the flavor at all. The salty potatoes weren’t bad, but I gave up after a couple. I requested water (flat tap water) and was charged 20zl - just over $5. Not much but it’s water folks. 440zl (about $120) for dinner for 4 with a cocktail. Not cheap and not great. So many other places to try.

It was super busy. We came with my family to have a quiet dinner. Unfortunately, our given table was upstairs with all the corporate parties. The issue there is mainly with lack of soft furnishings or acoustic panels to absorb the extreme noise we were exposed there to. The atmosphere was very unpleasant. In all fairness when we came downstairs, it seemed like it was a different restaurant as in the ground floor it was pleasantly quiet. Please address this very important issues related to your first floor of your restaurant for the more comfortable and pleasant experience.

We had dinner here yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of seasonal drinks and the menu. In addition to main courses, there are also starters to share and we had cauliflower and salmon. Both were delicious and made us look forward to the main course. We had an Asian burger and oriental macaroni. The meal ended with cheesecake and creme brulee. Everything seemed fresh and delicious. We drank winter spritz, cider and beer. Unfortunately, my partner didn't tolerate something well and spent several restless nights in the bathroom. It's hard to say which meal or drink caused this. So we would not recommend the restaurant and not coming back.

Ed Red is back (♥️!!!) on Kraków’s Main Square — now inside the beautiful Pałac pod Baranami, one of the city’s most historic buildings. The new space feels both modern and full of character: an open kitchen glowing in blue light, a cozy green bar with vintage lamps, and a stunning chandelier room that keeps the old charm alive. The food is excellent — the Matjes herring was perfectly balanced, the handmade sausages full of flavor, and the seasonal veggies with garlic butter just right. Simple, honest dishes made with skill. If you liked the old Ed Red, you’ll love this one. Same soul, just more refined — and now in one of Kraków’s most iconic spots. Perfect for dinner with friends or a relaxed evening in the very heart of the city.

If you want to taste amazing Polish food – this is the place! They have the best Black pudding (kaszanka) I’ve ever had in my life! I haven’t tried everything yet, but everything I did try was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect — whether you’re here for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, or just a casual spontaneous visit. I’ll be coming back to Kraków just to eat here again!

Very interesting offers coming up from time to time. We have been on the chicken BBQ evening with degustation menu and steak Tuesday offer. Both times the service was excellent, the atmosphere is very quiet and private which is good. You can have the overview of the kitchen and all the works they do over there. The food both times was very good. I also can recommend deserts even though it is a steak house.

Rib eye was good. Husband had ed burger. Not so good, mushy too much sauce therefore the bun soaked into goooo. Staff nice until they asked how the meal was, didn't really mind until we paid and they decided not to bring our change.. may have been a few zl. But should have asked! Unfortunately will not return. Not worth the money. Shame.

Fantastic meal and service best I have ever had, Maya was exceptional honestly probably the best service I have ever received in my 28 years. I have been all over the world and eaten in many establishments, Maya takes the crown service can't get better. Food was very good also and we listened to the recommendations we were given and trusted those. Fantastic meal fantastic service great atmosphere. I saw a couple of sub par reviews but honestly after my experience it baffles me how anyone wouldn't give this restaurant 5 stars 🤩. Thanks for an incredible evening.

Wonderfull Experience!! I love this restaurant. We come back two times in ours holidays. The pulled pork and cauliflower are excellent, the goose and spinach pieroghi are very good and the apple cake is a dream. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, the service is perfect.

What an exceptional find! The food here was delicious and very reasonably priced with a good variety. The waitress who served us was very informative about the menu and took time to go over the history behind the drink and food choices. She was incredibly friendly and the setting outside was cozy.

Very nice place in Sw. Gertrudy with really high quality food and wine. The place is a little bit hidden in an alley way, but it is more than worth it to enjoy some food here. We had the antipasti plate as a starter, with delicious cheeses and different cuts of meat. For main, we had the pork loin and the Pappardelle. Both were really delicious and high flavoured. We had the dry red house wine with it, and the combination was super delicious. For dessert, we shared a Creme Brulee, which was among the best we ever had. Definitely try this place out for some outstanding food and amazing wines.

An amazing amazing place.. Excellent food, superb staff and great wine.. Better reach here before 10pm as they don't take orders post that as most if the restaurants in Krakow shut by 10 or 11 pm. We were told that we are probably the first Indians to have visited this place and they were also very happy to have hosted us. Do try their house wine as well, it's very nice.

Was here for an early lunch, solo. I think they normally expect reservation based on how I was welcomed, though I was given a table in the corner with a window. The place was well lit and well decorated. I wondered if it would be nice to bring a date here. They might have recently updated their menu so instead of what I wanted to try, I had a pasta dish, their Papardelle, instead. I didn't understand the amount of salad leaves on top, but it was delicious and demonstrated thoughtfulness in how the ingredients were put together. The orange juice drink I had was nice too. Service was friendly, kind of. I plan on returning to Kraków in the future but I already suspect this to be one of the best restaurants in the city.

A very nice, cozy interior design, a summer garden also available. The food was delicious, starter, main courses, dessert, and of course wine. The wine selection is pretty broad, polish wines even on demand. The staff was very helpful, the lady made great recommendations based on our food selection. Apart from wine, you can also have a drink. A truly worth stopping by place!

This restaurant is an absolute gem. Hidden away from the main streets but just a stones throw from the basilica, we were delighted with our meal here, a real pleasant surprise. The Polish dishes we tried were tasty, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding. Rare that I would revisit a city just for food but in this case, pretty darn close. Superb!

Perfection! Food portion is American size I think. It’s absolutely massive and we are people who like to eat and we couldn’t finish them. That says something! We had zurek in bread. Breaded pork chop in mushroom with sauerkraut. Yummers! And pork knuckle with an assortment of delicious this and that. See pics. The knuckle was gigantic! I had my soup but left the bowl bit. I was soooo full! And we had leftovers to take home. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was lovely but gentle. Such a lovely lovely place. Busy obviously as in a truly area but if all Polish food is like this - it’s my favourite cuisine.

We went there twice for dinner, very good polish food. Everything we tried was very delicious and portions are massive. The second time around we actually shared the mains as it was impossible to finish one each. The service is good, the location is right at the endge of the old town so perfect place to stop by for a meal after a busy day walking. The prices are old-town rates, slightly higher as compared to cosy little restaurants outside the busy centre, however it's so delicious it makes up for it.

A solid place to stop and enjoy Polish cuisine. Rather than go for a traditional start and main, I ordered 3 starters; grilled sheep's cheese, beef tartar and bruschetta (yes, Italian I know...). Overall, the food was great and the service good. I did ask a waitress for a condiment for which she acknowledged and never returned. I have had that happen in a long time yet ketchup wasn't a big deal, as i got it from another waitress. Their toilet was very big with plenty of space anf clean, and even tasteful, if you will permit me to use such a word. The restaurant atmosphere was good overall and there was a nice buzz with people around. While a little more expensive, overall, we felt it was worth it and would return again.

Good polish traditional food restaurant. I took the crazy platter as I wanted to try the most things possible. The crazy platter is huge and includes 5 main components; plaki with goulash, pierogis, pork cutlet, honey sauce ribs and chicken filled with spinach and could be eaten by two people. Portion sizes are generous by looking at the other plates too. I enjoyed trying everything, the service was good, the food is also good even tough i have tasted better somewhere elses. Worth the price for the size of the dishes.

The restaurant seemed very small because of the Toni entrance but inside it was huge. I was led to the -1 the soup was awesome and the tartar was very nice. The main dish wasn’t very mine but still the portions were huge and this restaurant definetely really worth a visit very enjoyed it there. The waiters were also very friendly and fast

Cozy restaurant with great food but, COME HUNGRY! We ordered a soup and beef tartare first and decided we would share the Crazy Dish. When the entree came out, I was ready to pack up and go home. It was very tasty but this is not a meal for one. We packed about 85% to go. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. We sat in the basement however it was very cozy and welcoming.

Don't miss this place if you're in Krakow. Also, you won't be able to walk out as you'll be so full. Great value for money and great atmosphere. We had to queue for an hour to get a table for 3. It was worth it.

This place serves HUGE vegan kebabs that are great value for money - glad we only ordered the classic size each, because that was almost big enough for two! Very tasty food which arrived quickly. Service was a bit lack lustre, with no smile from the guy who was at the counter when we entered, but for a good value and filling meal, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Dropped into Vegab for a quick bite and was really happy with the whole experience. The place is clean, the staff was super friendly, and everything moved fast—we ordered, sat down, and had food in front of us within a few minutes. I had the VEGAB CHEEZY with nachos, cheezy sauce, and spicy sauce. Solid combo—good flavor and just the right amount of heat. My wife went for the VEGAB LIMITED EDITION EGGLESS, which came with this vegan egg paste made from tofu, roasted onion, and a mild sauce. She liked hers too. We also split an order of sweet potato fries, which were crispy and not greasy at all. Prices were totally reasonable, and the portions were filling without going overboard. Definitely a spot we’d come back to, especially when we want something fast and plant-based that doesn’t feel like a compromise.

We love their food! Came here in August 2024 & August 2025 and missed it the moment we left Krakow. The staff was very nice and friendly last year - this year they were more standoffish and less friendly. They have plenty of seating, we’ve never seen it full, but we’d recommend getting Vegab as take away. It’s really close to Planty, so in good weather we’d walk around Planty/Old Town or sit on a bench and enjoy our Vegab. Our favourites are Cheesy and Aloha. They offer a savings card; you get a stamp for every kebab and the 11th is free. Definitely not high end or healthy dinner, but absolutely delicious fast food!

Visit enough cities and maybe you can find a falafel joint that doesn't have a slab of lamb spinning on its rotisserie. But do you know what's even nicer, and rarer to the point of being something I've never previously encountered? Finding a kebab joint with its rotisserie loaded up with vegan meat! Portions are massive and the available options and sauces cover every possible taste. I don't care how many cities you have visited in your life, but if you are vegan and visiting Kraków and don't check this place out, you've let let a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip by! I've met the owner and this restaurant is his heart and soul, to the point that he even has the restaurant logo tattooed by his elbow. Everything here is good but the Vegab Cheezy wrap with spicy garlic sauce is off-the-hook delicious.

Nice little vegan place that sells kebabs. The portion size of the kebab is big, the regular sized one was bigger than the large where I live!

The place has a great atmosphere and the Service top tier. This place is definitely shooting for that upmarket vibe. The food is definitely more about taste than portion size if you know what I mean 😂. In short, I wouldn’t say it was “Bang for Buck”. Suitable for a date maybe even an upscale dinner with friends. Wouldn’t recommend it for a family with kids. Parking available on the street but you probably be struggling Friday and Saturday. There’s a step at the entrance so I’m not sure about wheelchair access. It’s not on the top of my list, but I’ll come back again.

Just had dinner here and the appetizer, main and dessert was absolutely amazing. Even the cocktails were great. I also had a greats server/bartender who made some excellent recommendations! I will definitely be back when I return to Krakow! Also the pulled lamb was one of the best sandwiches that I’ve ever had!!

Gorgeous Italian eatery with lovely gardens. Note: Admittedly very dirty bathrooms down some steep stairs. My pants and shoes got very wet from the flooded dirty bathroom floor. STAFF: Efficient. Not warm or friendly however efficient nonetheless (minus attending to the bathrooms). FOOD: Great selection of various vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes. They have gluten free pasta which I've been told is coeliac safe. Our meals arrived quickly, were fresh and cooked well. OVERALL: Worth visiting if you're able to during summer, as sitting outside is lovely.

Absolutt a place to take your mother, father, children, girlfriend, bring them all 😍 truly a magic place with amazing food and great people. Food is so good you definitely need another visit! It's a lovely place. The food is fantastic, wines are great, it's a very cozy but still fancy place. It's a higher price point so keep that in mind but I'd say the quality is worth the money. We had the best time.

Beautiful restaurant with charming outdoor seating. Food was excellent and a great break from the Polish food. Cannot be compared to food in Italy but their dishes were still delicious, well made and with high level of care and ingredients.

La Campana is a hidden gem within Old Town Krakow. Once you pass through the main entrance, you are greeted with one of the most beautiful garden restaurants. The atmosphere was a 5/5. We dined at 8pm just as the night was setting in. As for the drinks and food, everything that we ate was either a 4 or 5 out of 5. The service was excellent and is on par with any fine dining experience. For two people, our bill was around $450 Zloty which is very reasonable for a fine dining experience. I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment.

Very nice Italian restaurant with an amazing garden - the best outside terrace in Krakow. You must book in advance as the garden is very popular. The restaurant was in Michelin guide for few years but not anymore. Maybe it would be nice to change menu from time to time as it is quite the same for the last years. Service and food are good. They used to have live music in summer so the atmosphere is great there. I’d recommend to visit.

What an amazing surprise! Went with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday and it was really worth it. I would award you with the star, consistency and quality showed throughout the experience. The pairing alcoholic and non alcohol was a first for me and I really enjoyed, the process of the "juices" was very well done and the sommelier posture and storytelling were just sublime. Would come back for sure!

restaurant surprisingly gets good reviews. In my experience it was not great. They have Michelin star prices with a mediocre tasting menu with some very odd pairings. It was a hard sell as soon as we sat down being pushed to purchase the caviar and oysters and to order a cocktail. We went for the 6 course tasting menu. First course was a soup that was quite good but it had a sweet jelly in the middle that encapsulated some fish. Did not work in my opinion, a little like when a Canadian offers you salade and it’s actually a sweet jelly being served in a savoury dish. Presentation for each dish was good but the flavours and tastes were simply not there. We were charged just under what you would be charged at a Michelin single star restaurant but had quality of food that was sadly way below. The sommelier was pleasant and the staff attentive but we felt rather deflated. This being said there are some exceptional restaurants in Krakow and I strongly recommend checking them out. Use the Raisin app. We had far better food for one seventh of the cost at Karakter. If you want a tasting menu find someone with a Michelin start rather than someone pretending to be

There were eight of us dinning here for a friend’s birthday. The tasting menu was very good and the restaurant accommodated all the dietary requirements our group had. The dishes were generally very good and tasty. Service was top notch including the sommelier who managed to guide a rather complex group of individuals.

The downside, which made me remove one star, is the cleanliness of the restrooms, which really does not match the standard of this establishment. They were very dirty. it's a no fuss shop, humble and straightforward with delicious warm pierogi. it's possible to dine in but will be very tight. we arrived on friday evening and the option was not complete, so recommended to come earlier in the day.

In a rush? Hungry? Love pierogi? This spot serves them fast, and honestly, they taste pretty good! Sure, they’re not the absolute best pierogi you’ll ever try, but for fast food, they definitely hit the spot.

Pirogy fastfood, very tasteful, better as a take away. There's hardly any space to sit (just 4 stools). Don't expect anything modern, trendy high-street kind of place. Go there if you want to taste ordinary Polish pirogy.

Some of the best pierogi I have had. The place is very small in on the corner. They have a limited seating. The food arrives quickly and is very very tasty. They have a good selection. We will be going back soon.

We were welcomed promptly by the host and was served by our lovely waitress ‘Magdalena.’ She was super attentive, fast and super fun. She made my birthday celebration very special. Thank you for the excellent service. My mother ordered ‘Surf & Turf’, my sister ordered T-bone and I ordered the Steak set. All were cooked perfectly, seasoned and served with precision. So good we visited here twice during our stay in Krakow. The first night we had a booking and everything was really good the steak was cooked to perfection, and the sweet potato gratin was absolutely delicious and the wine was really nice. So on our last night we decided to try get in again without a booking and we couldn't believe our luck when we were accommodated and got a table again. The service was great, food was great and I hope to return someday.

Lives up to the tiktok hype. Service was great, our waitress, whose name I didn't get, was the nicest and most professional I've met. The steak was cooked to perfection. Desserts also great. Busy restaurant so I would recommend booking although they did happen to accommodate a 7 person group walk in.

We visited with Polish friends who recommended this restaurant. I was very impressed by the food and professional service from staff who explained the menu in some detail. The green salad dressing was the best i have ever tasted. so was the New York Strip steak.

Lately, I’ve been in my sushi era and trying to discover good spots around the city. While I haven’t tried many yet, I think I’ve started on the right foot. My latest visit was to Youmiko, and it turned out to be a genuinely good experience. We ordered the omakase (9 portions, totaling 30 pieces), and I was impressed not only by the flavors but also by the pacing as each portion arrived roughly every 3–4 minutes, which was ideal. I liked every single portion, but my favorites were: -the one topped with onions, -the roll with a slightly longer nori wrap, and -the salmon piece with additional salmon on top. The place is quite small, with a few extra tables downstairs, so I highly recommend making a reservation through their website or by phone. Cleanliness was top notch for real that is probably the best I’ve seen in town, including the restroom. While I was very satisfied with the food, I want to be fair in my review and mention that I experienced a slight stomach discomfort later that evening (a bit of a heartburn). I'm not sure if it was caused by the meal or something else, so I plan to revisit to confirm. That said, based on this first visit, even though I don't consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine or sushi, I can definitely recommend the place. Looking forward to updating this review after my next visit. Thanks to the team!

Intimate place with absolutely delicious and clean tasting menu. Omakase is a must - brilliantly paced, directed by the attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff to take you through a journey of taste. It was our second time and equally great. Will be back and would recommend to anyone. It's small (and that just adds to the experience) so do book ahead and get carried away!

I had my first ever omakase here at Youmiko after hearing how it was the top sushi spot in Krakow and I had a wonderful time. It was a relaxed atmosphere and I had time to chat with Jakob, our sushi chef, and observe his techniques as he presented each creation. Every single one was delicious, but most of all the flame-grilled salmon - just buttery smooth. The quality didn't disappoint, and I could see why they'd earned their reputation as the best. A terrific meal all around and a great connection with the friendly master chef, who even gave me a few recommendations for other spots to try in town. Thanks for a great evening!

My second experience in here. Probably the best I had in whole Poland not only Cracow. Hands down for the chefs and the service. Everything was made fresh and an overall experience was extraordinary. Recommend to anyone who wants to experience closest to Japanese service

If I could give this place 6 stars I would, unreal vegan sushi flavours for a place that also does normal sushi…locally sourced ingredients and flavours that I’ve never experienced. A must try in Krakow!
