Restaurant
Restaurante Hermanos Garcia is a popular local eatery in Las Palmas, situated behind Plaza de Espana. They are known for their diverse menu del dia featuring homemade dishes with up to six options for starters and entrees, along with various desserts. While the menu may not always cater to those seeking healthier options, the restaurant is favored by locals and visitors alike.
A completely local resturaunt. Loved everything about it. I think I was the only foreigner in the entire restaurant. Do make an effort to smile and order in Spanish. Everything was delicious, especially the “pescado frito” and the dessert “mousse de chocolate.” Thanks for my favorite lunch on the island!

Place where local likes to eat its always great. I ordered something that wasn't on the set menu and they were happy to do it.
Tomas H — Google review
This place is a love letter to Canarian cuisine. The food is hearty, authentic, and the atmosphere is incredibly cozy. But the real star? David, the waiter. This guy could juggle flaming plates while pouring your Arehucas and still remember your order perfectly. He doesn't believe in writing anything down, because he has the memory of an elephant. Come for the local vibes, stay for the food coma, and leave wondering if David’s secretly a superhero.
Dominik B — Google review
I had grilled fish! It was delicious. If you dont speak Spanish communication might be hard. Atleast for us the waiter did not speak English but still gave us a good service and made us feel welcome. Menus are multiple languages though. I would go again! 2x steak, grilled fish, few beers, coffees and vodkas. check was 65€ish. Noticed that a lot of locals get their meal here! Thank you ❤️

Great place! It definitely worth visiting! The food is amazing, communication with the staff might be a bit challenging but it is pretty manageable.

As non-spanish speaking, we did not feel welcome. The food (fish soup) was not good. Two tv`s with high volume made conversation difficult.

Nestled near the La Regenta Art Centre, Chiwawa Cantina Durán is a delightful haven for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine. This vibrant eatery boasts an inviting and festive ambiance that perfectly complements its diverse menu, featuring mouthwatering tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and homemade guacamole. The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality ingredients to craft dishes that are both flavorful and visually appealing.
Our waitress Yurena was the best. Service was excellent and food came very quickly. The food tasted amazing. Best place so far during our stay in Las Palmas.
Larissa H — Google review
Put in simple words coming from someone that has travelled a lot around Mexico: the best tacos you will have in all of Las Palmas. Everything is on point: large and delicious portions, good price, fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service and they even have awesome vegan and vegetarian options. You won't be dissapointed.
Albert T — Google review
The restaurant was very aesthetic, though quite small. The tacos were fantastic, the appetizers were also fine.
Antto S — Google review
The Chiwawa Cantina is a lovely place for a drink and/or to eat. Prices are rather on the high end, but they are justified by the high quality of food and the great atmosphere of the restaurants. The frozen margaritas are exceptional, with a particular mention for the strawberry-passion fruit one. All the tacos were great. The service is also excellent. I recommend this restaurant
Damien S — Google review
Super nice Latin American food! The price is very good for the amount of food you get and all the ingredients are fresh and feels of high quality. I loved the El Rayo taco and can fully recommend the local beer and the lemonade. All in all very nice and fresh food with a friendly and fast service, fully recommend this place and especially for a quick bite.

We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant because the wife and I were craving tacos. We were sold on this place from the reviews and pictures and let me tell you, we weren’t disappointed! We tried four different tacos and all of them were amazing! And of course the liter of frozen strawberry margarita was absolutely delicious 🤤 We highly recommend!

Some of the nicest Mexican food I have ever had in my life every bite was like a flavor explosion and also loads of options for vegetarians the frozen margaritas are not to be missed absolutely delicious and really good service very friendly and helpful

Lovely! Cheerful and welcoming, family vibe. Efficient friendly staff. We had a fantastic lunch – grilled fish for one of us and Vueltas de entrecot (steak slices) for the other, nice cheesecake to follow. Excellent value for money. A very lucky find (thanks Google Maps!) and a delightful meal. Strongly recommended.

(Translated by Google) A typical restaurant featuring Canarian cuisine and its grill. A large establishment divided into several rooms. Very rustic decor. Service is a bit abrupt in the way dishes are placed on the table, but generally friendly. Extensive menu. All kinds of options: soups, appetizers, salads, grilled meats, and a fish option. Canarian cuisine. Options for everyone. The wine list is nothing to write home about. It offers homemade desserts and desserts made by third-party companies. The quality/price ratio currently seems above average for this type of business. They use good products. They have a daily menu during the week. Reservations are essential. Utilizan buen producto. Tienen entre semana menú del día. Importante reservar.

The service was truly 10/10, and the food was delicious. This is my third time here, and I love all of their food. Plus, it's quality and fresh. The service is quick, and they're very attentive if you need anything or if you're missing something on your plate. Everything was great. We'll be back many more times. Thank you for your service and for the free shots you offered us.

(Translated by Google) Today I went to lunch with my son. From the start, we noticed there were far fewer people than usual. We always order the stew of the day and "vueltas" (fried vegetables). Instead of stew, there was cream of lentils. What used to be a large dish is now served in a small cup. "vueltas" (fried vegetables) have been removed from the menu, along with "garbanzada" (garbanzo beans) and other dishes. The best part was at the end, since all these "improvements" come with an increase in the bill; the menu goes from 16.50 to 18.50. With the number of menu options available in the area at much lower prices and excellent quality, and those of us who are from the area know this, the owner's policy is very misguided. The service from the staff is 10/10, as always.

Chicken restaurant
D'Brasas Grill is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience in Gran Canaria. Renowned for its perfectly charred meats and vibrant vegetables, this cozy eatery offers exceptional value, especially with its standout chicken dish that many claim to be the best they've ever tasted. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, often bustling with patrons enjoying their meals. Guests rave about the friendly staff, including the charming host Cesar, who enhances the experience by sharing insights about the dishes.
This is the best food we had in Gran Canaria by far. The chicken was superb - the best we've ever eaten. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can visit the chef and look at the meat - it's not intimidating, it was fascinating and he explained it all in English. The whole experience was excellent. Really recommend the chicken and the sirloin steak (I swear it was actually fillet!). Very reasonably priced and I can't wait to go back.

This steakhouse was a great find. We had chorizo and steaks which were both perfectly prepared. The owner and staff made us feel like we were welcome and appreciated. The D'Brasas is a good choice for a good steak at a fair price. Make a reservation and enjoy.

Our first evening in Las Palmas and what a superb meal. We choose carpaccio and steaks which were both excellent ( the lovely team even served a second carpaccio after we spilt wine on the first one so very kind ) With wine and desert the meal was less the 70 ukp which is exceptional value for the quality of the meal.

Love, Love, Love ❤️. I went early evening whilst quieter and was warmly welcomed. I had the most amazing premium burger. It was huge, tasty, juicy, full of flavoursome meat, bacon, cheese and sauce 😋. The chef is a very happy man - smiles non stop and sings when cooking, it's lovely to see someone loving their work. I highly recommend 👌🏾.

Incredible food and service. Cesar is a wonderful host. My friend and I shared two salads, the tropical salad and the Barrata salad. Both of them sent our tastebuds to Cloud 9! The sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. I topped it off with a truly homemade tasting baked cheese cake. A totally wonderful culinary experience.

This restaurant isn't very big, but it has a great vibe. What's surprising is that even during the day it's always full of people, which makes the atmosphere very lively. The steaks are super tasty and definitely worth trying. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food and a great atmosphere.

An amazing place! We rarely go to the same place twice, but at D'Brasas Grill we did. And for good reasons! The quality of the food is great, we both had the Broad Steak (rare). Accompanied with grilled tasteful potatoes, vegetables, corn and a delicious red wine. Also the service was great! When in Las Palmas, I really recommend this place!

Holiday apartment
Columbus Apartments Co-Living is conveniently located near San Cristobal and the House-museum 'Casa-Museo Perez Galdos', with easy access to Calle Triana and the city center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The check-in process is automated with code locks, providing a hassle-free experience. Although it offers rooms with shared bathrooms instead of apartments, guests can enjoy comfortable beds for a good night's sleep.
Everything is well-maintained and clean. The location is perfect, with easy access to public transport, cafes, and grocery stores. This place has everything you need. Definitely a 5-star experiences!
Arlette L — Google review
The common area, like the kitchen, was cleaned on a daily basis, therefore relatively clean. In addition, the cleaning lady seemed to be nice. That being said, unfortunately, it is very noisy. You can hear every car and person passing by. Not to speak of the noises made by the co- living mates, which feels like they are right next to you. Although I wore earplugs and my co-living mates were relatively quiet, It was hard to sleep at night. In addition, there were a few cockroaches crawling around and, to my surprise, no forkes in the kitchen. Next time, I'll invest another 20 euros per night to upgrade my accommodation. Nevertheless, if you are on a low budget and don't stay for too long, this is a viable option.
Nik W — Google review
I have booked an apartment this evening, where Booking confirmed it and took the payment but I have arrived and cannot enter because the pin code to enter is incorrect. The owners are not answering their phone or emails. I have been waiting out on the street now for 2 and a half hours. Obviously Booking has confirmed it without the owners knowledge of a booking being made. Whose fault it is between them I don't know. I only know I have paid and am on the street without a place to sleep at the moment. I am so angry I feel like going to the police.
Isobel N — Google review
The check in was automatic with code locks. So no problem with checking in or out. Nothing to do with apartments as the tittle indicates though. Just rooms with shared bathroom. We luckily had no troubles with noise. We slept really good the bed was amazing. There was no ventilation In the room and since it was too warm we had to leave the window open that was actually facing the street. But it was ok. There was only a single chair in the room so bit inconvenient if you are with two. The kitchen was clean and had several appliances. We enjoyed the walks in the old town near by.

We were about to stay for one week. First things first, photos of the place are kinda confusing. When you look just at the photos on booking, or google, you might probably expect larger (and cleaner) place. But it doesn’t matter after all. We have stayed for three days. Three horrible nights full of screaming, young, drunk “co-working” guests. We were tolerant, and after the second night, we did contact the owner/operator (Marta) and she told us, that she will fix that. Also, our light in the bathroom did not work, and after the repair, there was glass all around our place and there also were regularly cockroaches everywhere. Thats just by the way. Third night was the worst and in the morning, we were on our way to nearest hotel. We contacted Marta and she assured us, that we’ll surely get the full refund and in exchange we won’t write the bad review. Then, we didn’t hear from her. Weeks were passing by and… nothing. We tried to call them, but they stopped answering chats and calls. So we started communicating with booking and in the loooong long run, we did manage to get our money after a quarter of a year! So they just scammed us and they didn’t care about us, only our money. I recommend you to stay elsewhere, because this is really bad place for your holiday. We are kind people, but this behavior was just too much.

Check in is at 2pm and check out at 11am. So far so good. When I asked if it's possible to check in earlier it was immediately declined so I waited from 8 am until 2 pm and checked in only to find out that the room was empty for many days. Why don't you let people check in when it's available anyway? The place is not run by people who work there as a real job but from travelers who volunteer to clean a bit in exchange for a place to sleep and the place really looked like that. I took 1 shower and the hot water was over after less than 5 minutes. When you have long hair it's impossible to wash yourself without having to shower under cold water. The kitchen I didn't use. The location is at the very end of Vegueta in a poor neighborhood, not very charming and about a 1 hour walk to the beach. What I found the most annoying is that there are so many rooms in the apartment like a prison and all of them are built with thin plywood. You sit in your bed and hear literally noise from all of the rooms and the floor. I heard people farting, screaming, phones, walking and even typing on their phone. Literally everything...and the people where really strange as well. I even witnessed a fight between 2 guys. Some of them I guess were locals who just didn't have any place to sleep. There was no co-living vibe at all and no communal area but I wouldn't have used them anyway. Not recommended!

I had a smooth check-in process, small and relatively neat place, convenient for an overnight stay. It wasn’t loud or noisy during our stay.

La Esquinita de Mesa y López is a delightful spot that captures the essence of cozy dining. Guests rave about the fried squid, which seems to be a standout dish that leaves a lasting impression. The atmosphere is inviting, although it can get a bit warm at times. With an expansive terrace for outdoor seating, it's perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. Service here is prompt and friendly, making your visit even more enjoyable as you savor each bite in this charming locale.
Wow! We are staying in Playa Del Ingles for 6 weeks but, decided to take the bus to Las Palmas and stay 1 night. During the day we looked at various menus along Las Canteras and then found this place. We decided that we would try it, what a great result. The food was amazing, the service was brilliant. Sitting outside on a balmy March evening with delicious food and drinks. And, so reasonable, highly recommended. What a find!

Not a big cafe. Thanks to the warm host, who fed 5 travellers, gave us shots of ron con miel and was so nice and tolerant to the tons of questions, his menu explanation was perfect. I would rate this place as superb, as it located in the heart of the city, but the price is more than convince. The food is local, but great, yummy and tasty. My personal precious was steak, so juicy and medium, that I would definitely come back to try it again once come to the island.

Great food for a seriously reasonable price! €60ish for 4 people including drinks, authetic and paella was great! Recommended for tourists!

(Translated by Google) We've been back several times. Great food, attentive waiter, and a great atmosphere. The stuffed peppers, salad, and anchovies are delicious. (Original) Ya hemos repetido varias veces.

(Translated by Google) Good points: The service is fast and very, very friendly. The prices are good. The rice is made to order, so you have to order it, keeping in mind that it takes 40 minutes. They offer a discount on the fork. They have a terrace. Things to improve: They don't list all the ingredients or ingredients on the menu, nor do they have drink prices available to customers (violating regulations). The fries are frozen. The menu is average, just to get by. They don't allow payment with the fork app. Please note: The food is repetitive. They close at 10:00 PM.

(Translated by Google) We went for lunch during the week and ordered potatoes with mojo sauce, fried cheese, and seafood rice. We loved the mojo sauce, very rich and thick. The cheese was average. The rice came with lots of seafood (fish, squid, mussels, etc.), but it lacked flavor and was a bit overcooked. The portions were generous and the prices were very good. The place is very pleasant, and the service was excellent. We saw other dishes coming out that looked very good, so we'll definitely give it another try to try more.
