Came here early on a Tuesday. Food was great staff were friendly. I didn't finish my meal and asked to take the remaining food away. I found it a little odd when the waiter brought me some food cartons to pack myself because I could have easily spilt it over the nice white table cloth. I had to request a bag too. I'd come back though.

One of the best curry houses in Northamptonshire. Thank you to the chef who made my curry tonight it was absolutely delicious. These guys know how to cook a curry. I ordered the chicken pakoras (amazing whoever came up with these!) chicken tikka dansak with rice. Defo give these guys a go because they do not disappoint!

Asia Tandori is far the best Indian food place to dine in Daventry and surrounding areas. Amazing food cooked to order and the staff are really friendly and has a great atmosphere We also get food delivered as they offer a great rapid delivery service to and to the local villages. Would highly recommend, so if you haven’t already been then you should. You will not regret it! You will not go anywhere else once you have. Best in town by far!!

I visited Asia last night for the first time with family for my birthday. The service was fast, food was hot, delicious and fresh and the staff were fantastic. They even gifted me a little bottle of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by on a Monday early evening, on the last night of my holiday in the area. Food service was very quick and staff were lovely. Only minor negative points would be just the 1 option (curry) for vegans and 1 dessert (but the chocolate torte was very good!). Also, the portion size for the vegan option was definitely smaller than meat options but no less in price. Other than that, lovely pub right on the canal.

Lovely rural pub situated beside the side of a canal on private land on the outskirts of a village. Very attentive staff, good service and well prepared food. Certainly worth a visit on a summers evening.

My go-to place for great home cooked food and a very welcoming bar atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy watching the boats go by. But even better, loiter at the bar and enjoy friendly staff, welcoming locals and anecdotes from the many visitors passing through on the canal.

Had a very tasty double burger with pulled pork, onions and cheese washed down with a cold pint, food was lovely as was the beer.Well worth a visit if you’re feeling peckish, great service from the staff too.

Lovely meal in a pleasant location. Everything was clean, tidy and welcoming - there were tables inside and outside (some alongside the canal). Great options on burger menu and also on the general menu. All 4 of us enjoyed the things we chose for mains. Desserts were also good and the cheeseboard looked and sounded amazing (unfortunately none of us had room for one - next time)

Can’t comment on food as did not eat here, will definitely try next time. But this place is awesome with a beautiful view. Had coffee and beer with some crisps.

Had a wonderful evening with my partner. Aesthetics of the place is lovely. I will be looking forward to spending time here in the summer next to the canal. I had the Camembert (starter) as a main as I love cheese. My partner had the risotto. Also shared sides of king prawns and green beans!! Superb! 👌

✅✅❌❌❌ My experience at Queen of Harts left much to be desired, particularly for a tourist like myself. First and foremost, this restaurant desperately needs a proper "wait to be seated" policy. Being met and seated upon arrival would make a huge difference, especially for visitors unfamiliar with the layout. From a staffing perspective, I noticed what appeared to be an imbalance. There were two people behind the bar when one seemed sufficient, and I counted three or four waitresses when perhaps two would have been plenty for the level of business. This suggests a need for better front-of-house management, and I would strongly recommend reallocating some of that staff to the kitchen. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, I waited nearly 50 minutes for my order (see attached photo). Honestly, the kitchen operations need a complete overhaul. My steak was horrendous – incredibly tough, feeling like a "jaw restoration session" was in order. The fries with pulled pork BBQ were acceptable only because I was so hungry, but they were missing several key ingredients which was disappointing. While I'm sure everyone working there is a great person, and I wish you all the best, serious changes are needed in the kitchen. Good luck! P.S. manager is very friendly! Had a great experience here, always has been one of my fave pubs. Served at the bar by Jack who was very friendly and helpful, made sure i was all okay with my food and drinks. Lovely atmosphere can’t wait to come again. I loved the quiz they used to do, i hope they bring them back.

A family friendly pub (including dogs). The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our visit. Food was good and didn't take long to arrive. Atmosphere was pleasant, music set at a level that you could enjoy and still have a conversation. All in all we would definitely go back again.

Queen of Hearts has made lasting experience for me. I will definitely be back. Pete (the owner I presume) is an absolute gentleman and welcoming from the moment you enter the premises. Very professional, engaging and friendly. Great atmosphere and food. Everyone of the staff are the same, simply great. Had the pleasure of also attending a wedding reception their on the 13th and it was amazing. House Dj and catering was excellent. Thank you for making your pub my local when I am am in Daventry. It wouldn't be my first choice but it's OK for families with children. I would have liked my Macaroni Cheese to be served in a dish that it was baked in with a grilled cheese top rather than spooned onto a plate. Presentation is everything.

Nice pub on a reasonable estate, lot of family groups around us and a slight wait to order food, not sure what was up with the #Karen in front of us but she got a full refund! Good range of drinks, large food menu. Three eat for less than £50, starter and main, we didn’t get what we ordered for mains but to be truthful it was all good and well cooked. Usually sides are served as sides, not here they pop them on the plate for you to enjoy. Give it a whirl of your in the area, don’t make a special visit, it’s not that special.

Ordered an delivery from here, which is usually an great place but for some reason tonight the person who had picked up the phone had been agitated and was quite rude which I brushed off; Then when it came to the food being delivered we were given two half full containers of salt chili chicken, it had already been an agitating experience with the customer service tonight especially as the entire order had been £23, so I’d asked for an refund for one of the orders over the phone and had been completely blanked and told that they would talk to the kitchen. Apart from this experience everything else from this restaurant is amazing and I would recommend it to others under normal circumstances but this experience has really tainted my views.

We collected. Hot, fresh and so tasty. Best yuk sung ever, brilliant chilli salted ribs and loaded prawn toasts to die for. We never risk delivery from any chinese, we always collect so you can eat it as fresh as possible. Tonight's takeaway was outstanding.

Don't know what has changed here from 3 years back but its like night and day. The one 3 years ago was not nice, can't remember what it was but it was the last one I ordered. Today's delivery i can't find fault , excellent quality meat, superb flavours love the egg in the plain noodles and beansprouts, not many add that bit it works. Crispy shredded chilli chicken just the right spice level nice to have the green pepper in it. Chicken with orange needs a lil more sauce maybe add it to your extras the same as the lemon sauce? but again nice crispy chicken. So yeah whatever you've changed please keep it this way. The food I just ate was exceptional.

We are not from around here anymore we come down to see family after 9 year and ordered a £50 meal from here. The food took an hour to arrive, my order was wrong, cold, dry. The food tasted off I wouldn't recommend this place

We ordered tonight and was very happy with the food! It came really quick, arrived hot and everything was delicious and full of flavour. It was definitely the best Chinese I've had in a long time and this is now our go to.

This is a takeout only. I have used this restaurant for at least 8 years. What I liked about the restaurant, although it was a bit pricey, was the quality of the food. But the last two orders we have had were very disappointing. Dishes missing from our order. The lemon chicken was like eating cardboard. It was so dry. The sweet and sour sauce was more like a jelly. I could go on.

I went with my family and I must say I wasn’t disappointed, they catered for my fussy son and also checked if anyone had allergies, which was a nice surprise. Customer service was impeccable and the Food was finger licking delicious and I think I have found my new favorite in the area. We will definitely be returning! 😊

I visited Abdul's Indian restaurant as I was passing by the area it caught my eye and it definitely did not disappoint. The customer service was absolutely amazing from the second I walked into shop it was an amazing atmosphere. Lets not forget the food, it was delectable. I will be returning and bringing more people with me for sure!!

Upon arrival staff were very welcoming and we were seated straight away. The food was incredible and the portion sizes were very big, worth every penny! The gentleman who served us was lovely , he made sure we were looked after and gave us dessert on the house!! We will be back again !

We have eaten here before and loved it so picked up a mid week kebab as a treat, which included free bread, salad and sauce. The food was still lovely but felt really underwhelmed by the portion size. See picture for kebab mix, one skewer of chicken and lamb and some rice for £20.00. Normally when we have a kebab for £15+ we have shared and been full. This time we were left hungry, even with the freebies. I know they have a great reputation and awards but I don't feel I got value for money so won't be using this as a takeaway again for this reason. If you are feeling flush or on special occasions, I would recommend but there are other options out there where I feel I get value for money and still great taste.

Alacati Grill is the best restaurant in town hands down. The food is always freshly made. I had the kebab yoghurt and the wifey had the chicken wings. Both of them are very good. They have a menu for children and that is also fresh, not frozen and then microwaved. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of wine or cocktails to choose from. My go to place when friends are in town.

The food was absolutely delicious and everything was fresh 👌 The drinks were beautifully garnished and tasted amazing🍹 The service was outstanding - truly top-notch! The staff were very positive and friendly. I was even surprised with a sweet treat and a candle on my birthday, which was such a lovely gesture. I highly recommend this place!

An impromptu visit to Alacati Grill. This establishment has many awards posted over the walls & windows. The owners are obviously proud of this, but we’d heard mixed comments about the food. We did arrive quite late, around 9PM and it wasn’t busy. It is early January and folk are probably staying home just after Xmas. The food was good, although I thought the Guvec lacked taste. Something was missing. It had a lot of chicken but almost tasted like sweet & sour chicken. The accompanying Rice & Salad were good. My Missus had tzatziki, hummus & bread and she thought it was good. The Coffee was also good. There was a very cold draught coming right through the restaurant, so we had to move. In the colder months, I’d recommend sitting to the right of the Front Doors. This is where we moved to. The establishment looks very clean and you can see the Kitchen from the Restaurant. The staff are friendly enough and the restaurant is very nicely decorated in Turkish style. Something is missing though and for me, I think it was the lack of taste in the dish, but don’t be put off by this. Give it a go!

Had our eye on this place for a while as it looks so nice and we'd heard good things. We were not disappointed, great atmosphere, large menu with so many different dishes and nice drinks range. We had a hot sharing meze to start and this was yummy😋 our mains were delicious too and there's a good range of teas and coffee. Food here is authentic and delicious, definitely recommend 👍

Well know Kuni’s from brunch in Rugby but the owner decides that he needs to close store in Rugby and need to open in Daventry. Been there first time in Daventry store and I’m well disappointed less choices plus different prices on boards and menu and different prices on till to pay. I was asking why my bill is higher? And they argue with me and said that price is correct!

The Rugby branch had closed so we went to Daventry. Small place, quaint and looked cosy, however it was more focused on refreshments than comics. Not going to lie, we were a little disappointed with the lack of comics and the disproportionate amount of memorabilia/merching. Whilst the first part of the name is Coffee, it sounds like a place to read and buy comics whilst eating and drinking. But the reality is it's a coffee shop that sells a handful of comic based items. Three stars because the atmosphere is good, and it's a good looking place with friendly staff but not really what the name suggests. We did t stay for food in the end but it looked tasty!

As a family, we love coming to Kuni's friendly staff, good music and super hero themed interior. Quality coffee and a good selection of foods, we've just sat in for there Desert menu launch! OMG!!!!

Generally nice place. Easy-going food, nothing too fussy, and no one at the table left unhappy. I had a small gripe about the beer pour – they filled to the printed “pint” mark rather than the full 568ml brim, which I find irritating though many won’t care. If that sort of thing bothers you, maybe stick to bottles. Positives outweighed that: my chicken parma was simple but comforting, well-seasoned and something I’d happily order again. Everyone else enjoyed their pizzas, which looked good. Big plus on dietary options: lots of gluten-free choices, vegan cheese, and good allergy awareness, which kept everyone at the table feeling safe. Service was warm and faultless throughout.

he Bacon roll was disgusting it looked good in the the display cabinet and than someone headed it up-and it came out like two hard biscuits with bacon in between. Someone could do with some cooking lessons.

So hard to find Pecan Pie and yet here it is! Not overly sweet neither. Nice maple pecan coffee also. Just what autumn ordered. Lovely olde worlde vibe also. Gives me tavern vibes with a modern twist.

Rather a dismal day yesterday from a weather point of view but a very welcoming cappuccino and cake in this coffee shop. I liked the open feel of the layout and they seemed to have lots of customers. I shall definitely make a return visit.

A return visit (after many years) but very enjoyable. Good food, lovely hot chocolate and friendly staff, reasonably priced food. We had a breakfast, the hash brown could have been a little crispier if I'm being picky but the egg, bacon and sausage were very good.

Warm welcome, at the table service (with clear signage behind the till telling you this) and chicken and stuffing sandwiches which is a hard filling to find in a cafe nowadays. Nice tea (although the pot could be filled up a bit more). Cosy environment and friendly staff. Will return.

Thank you to the team here for their excellent/outstanding service. We visited last Saturday and had a cheese toastie and 2 cheese and ham toasties... The food was "simple" but tasty. The smoothie was delicious. Maybe a little expensive but we were very comfortable and cared for.

Aroma Lounge is a lovely, quiet spot, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, which really adds to the overall experience. Service is efficient and thoughtful without feeling rushed. One highlight worth mentioning is the carrot cake, absolutely delicious! Whether you're stopping by for a coffee or something sweet, Aroma Lounge is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Excellent quality sausages bacon black pudding in fact the whole breakfast down to the small dish of English mustard on the side upon request was excellent. Very friendly welcoming too. A great breakfast at a very reasonable price too.

A great new place in Daventry, and very busy the day we went which meant that like a lot of the Lounges it's very noisy, which I'm not keen on. That being said, the food was as good as ever: my partner loves the buttermilk chicken and I had my usual aubergine and hummus flatbread. However, it's never the same: in Northampton it had pomegranate seeds which I'd never got anywhere else, in Daventry there was a lovely drizzle of a creamy sauce, and in Banbury it was too oily for my liking and had a topping of crispy chickpeas.

This place has a nice atmosphere. I loved the pictures on the walls. Food was really nice. We had Malaysian style fried rice and kofta skewers mezze plate. We both enjoyed our dishes very much. For a drink I picked one of the option on homemade drinks menu which I also enjoyed.

Very nice atmosphere of the premises, such decoration is not found in the whole of Daventry. A nice option is the possibility of choosing a table with a sofa, there are chairs and a children's menu. A great convenience is that dogs are accepted because being on a walk you can come in and have a coffee/tea or even eat something. I had the pleasure of trying the English breakfast which was very good, and the waiting time was not long.

Great eatery in the centre of Daventry. Whether it be for an evening out, or just a great lunch . The decor is interesting and of good quality, and Viento lounge is larger than expected. The menu is varied and has good options for vegans. The food is freshly cooked and is worth the cost. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with many tables, a few sofas and a good range of drinks on offer. A pleasant surprise in Daventry and a treat for any time.

Honestly, when this restaurant first appeared I didn't really know what to think, especially as I remember looking at the prices and thinking that this place looks a little on the expensive side? Then friends, family, even random people were all telling me to go here, and so I did... and I do not regret it, the food is delicious, some of the best in Daventry if I'm being honest. Really lovely place to go whether it is just you and a friend or a party of 8, I think this place is awesome and a lovely addition to Daventry.

3 stars is fair for this lounge. It's exactly like all lounges, except this one has to compete with independent spots that in my opinion are both cheaper and tastier. That being said the chicken Kiev burger is great. You'd be better off at Mojos or Pudding and Bear though.

Just had a mixed meat and chips in a tray and it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!!! Not sure what they done with the chicken meat but it wasn't cooked on the grill thing, is was soft soggy/stodgy (it was 15 mins before the close) I'm pretty sure they must have ran out so just cut some up and microwaved it!!!!! I would have rather they just said they had none left kebab meat was cold and also tasted like it had been boiled rather than grilled. I would have rather chucked my money out the window!!!!!! I will never set foot in this place again, any decent chip shop would never have served that to a customer and as I did eat some of it if I'm sick later or tomorrow I will update this review.

This place is fantastic. The quality is brilliant and the prices are good. Other fish and chip shops in Daventry have severely declined. This is by far the best one!

Simply the Best Chippy in Daventry!** We've been loyal customers for many years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Recently, we had the pleasure of having their team cater our wedding, and they truly delivered. Serving 100 guests, they were organised and efficient. The food arrived hot, boxed with individual and table numbers, making it easy to serve. The price was as reasonable as always, offering great value. If you're considering fish and chips for your wedding, I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much once again, you made our day!

Nice basic food. I had ham and mushroom omelette with salad followed by Apple pie and custard, 2 black coffees with cream. The staff were friendly and efficient when dealing with me. Child friendly with high chairs available. Toilet facility's on site. Can recommend this cafe

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the £45 We ordered the family platter for £45, along with £8 worth of sides, and were genuinely shocked by what we received. The kofta kebabs tasted like they came straight from the freezer—completely lacking freshness. The chicken wings were bland and had no flavor whatsoever. As for the “family platter,” it came with just 200g of mixed chicken and lamb shish—barely enough for one person, let alone a family. We were given only two small pieces of pita breadFor a meal marketed as a family-sized option, this felt incredibly stingy. Yes, we read the menu and knew what we were ordering—but the quantity and quality simply didn’t match the price. For £53 total, this felt like a complete rip-off. Hugely disappointing. We won’t be returning, and we definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

Consistently excellent food, service, and overall experience at Alaturka Doner Daventry! I’ve been ordering from (and visiting) Alaturka Doner in Daventry for quite some time now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best places in the area for authentic Turkish food. Every single order has been freshly prepared, full of flavour, and always arrives hot you can really tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve. The meat is always cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and never greasy and the portions are just right. Their wraps, rice boxes, and mixed platters are all brilliant, packed with crisp salads and flavourful sauces that bring everything together beautifully. We had this food after a longtime and it was absolutely amazing. Hats off to the owner and his staff. Shop Staff were very polite, driver was a polite and the owner was very accommodating. More so, the food was brilliant. Definitely recommend this takeaway.

The food was overpriced and pretty much tasteless, the only thing that had any flavour were the sauces that came with everything. The portion sizes are ridiculously small, for the price of the mixed grill I'd expect twice the amount of meat that you actually get. The only remotely good things I can say and are stopping this being one star are that everything arrived quickly and was hot when it got here, but that's not enough to make we want to go back. There are definitely better options for the money!

Was on business Thursday afternoon with managers, (from outside the area) nobody in there around 4.30pm. Food was lovely but waited around 35mins for food. Polite people. And all though ALL 4 of us who ate there live in different areas of the country. It's now Monday and we have ALL been violently ill with very very very bad food poisoning and have almost recovered. Lost money as being unable to attend meetings today. Will definitely be advising to avoid. Shame because, I looks nice.. I guess the hygiene let them down.. Never, but ever have I been so ill in my life, that due to food. The pain was insane. Anthony

Just been and bought my lunch from here. Thoroughly disappointed. Nearly 15quid for what is essentially a child's size portion. The kebab was literally half the size of every other kebab I've ever bought. Honestly it was an absolute con. Frankly i'm really annoyed. 15quid for lunch and I'm still hungry. Never ever again. Had a large fish and chips for me and my wife, very friendly staff and even larger portions. We just about managed to finish the fish and one portion of chips between us. Sometimes fish and chips hits the spot and as far as that goes would highly recommend.

Well what can I say! After spending alot of time in Cornwall with amazing fish and chips my standard is pretty high and haven't found anywhere that's great untill today. Best customer service that I've received anywhere of recent. Great atmosphere and customer attentiveness. Fish freshly cooked whilst there. Alot of places the fish is all batter and not fish where as jollys is quite the opposite..all fish and not batter. The portions are great. Enjoyed a Kurdish tea whilst the fish was cooking and also tried the potatoes which also are lovely and some chicken which equally was spot on. 100% recommend for quality and value and service that tops others. Really hope you enjoy as much as I have and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Look forward to returning and would like to say thankyou. My visit was beyond expectation. Amazing fresh food, fish cooked fresh in front of me- generously portioned, very clean in store and staff are so friendly.

We came all the way from Rugby just to try the chicken wrap pita. We each ordered one, but after finishing it, we just had to get another — it was that delicious! This is real Greek food — you can truly taste the freshness and the high quality in every bite. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the whole place has a warm, family-like atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Greek cuisine! 💚♥️💚♥️

Yep all good, fantastic flavours, polite and friendly service. Greek salad takes me back to Athens, Santorini and Mykonos where we had a fantastic cruise this summer. Great choice and something for everyone,Gyros are our son’s favourites, they didn’t even touch the side, the kebabs both chicken and lamb are full of flavour and well worth trying! We order direct, it’s simpler and easier than using any of the delivery service providers, it’s also a better price point! Enjoy and give them a try if you haven’t already!

Had a wonderful experience today at Cristina’s Souvlaki! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — healthy and not at all greasy. My son really enjoyed his meal, which says a lot! A top-notch takeaway in Daventry. As a loyal customer who visits around three or four times a month, I can confidently say I've never been let down by either the food or the service. Excellent, always freshly prepared, reasonably priced greek food.

Had to change my 5 star review from last year. Best kebab shop in town has fallen off. I ordered a Large doner and chips, and a kids doner meat and chips (check the pictures, that's what we got) Burnt, cold, hardly any meat, had to throw it out Orders were not only wrong, but the quality I wouldn't give to my dog. Called up and the guy said kebab machine wasn't working or something? Why would you send that out then? They sent us a free kofte kebab that was also of the same quality.

Ordered the pizza, chips and drink deal - 1 hour waiting time for starters. Food was barely even warm. Pizza taste like bread, pinapple is massive chunks and not even cooked so hard hardly any cheese or tomato sauce feel like I’ve had to eat cold bread. Also ordered 1/2 burger and chips - again food was cold. Bread had gone soggy from the sauce as it must of been sitting there a while. Not the first time I’ve had issues but I accepted them before as the food quality was nice. Last time I order I waited nearly 90 minutes. The time before that the driver had no change so couldn’t give me any. Real shame so disappointed, won’t be coming back. Don’t recommend orders for deliver unless you want cold food.

A hell of a lot of meat. As a non doner fan who has started to like Greek gyros, i tried this. The meat seems good quality. I personally prefer the chicken. You get a lot of meat in the large mixed doner. Tzaziki is always a great option. The salad is very fresh and tastes great. The staff are very polite and fast to help. Second time after a long while. Cheesy garlic bread is really good. Which makes me want to try the pizzas. I put in comments for mixed kebab as the website wouldn't offer it and they did it. Fantastic considering they could ignore it. The donor is better than the chicken kebab

STAY AWAY FROM THEM… we found them on google and they are based hidden away in an industrial estate basically .. when we ordered we watched them cooking it, IT WAS A CHICKEN SHISH KEBAB then we got home and noticed it wasn’t even a chicken shish kebab it was a kebab on rice... no salad just chicken a pathetic little bit of Nan bread and rice. even though we watched him make it..So once we called him to tell him he screwed up and gave us the wrong order he went crazy down the phone at my partner making out it was our fault.. he was very rude and aggressive. But as the meal was a screw up yet paid for we ate it anyway… but the meal actually made me quite poorly and I ended up on the toilet for an hour. STAY AWAY

Used to be the best kebab in dav but seems to get worse with every order now. (Ordered on three different occasions just encase it was an off day, but I think it’s the new norm) They’ve gone completely downhill. Meats always dry, minimal chicken and meat overall on the mixed Doner. The lamb shish was also dry. Something is always missing from the order as well. On three occasions we’ve got no sauce. Used to get a seasoned whole pitta with the shish. Tonight was just torn off bits of stale pitta bread. Portions have also got considerably smaller and the overall quality to the meals are well below what they used to be. A real shame as they used to be our favourite.

Was the best place for pizza when they first opened but my last 3 have not been good. 2 came cold but this last one, from the 1st bite of pizza it was not good unfortunately. It tasted like an undercooked frozen base.

When the guy was serving my food he dropped the doner all over the prepping counter. I then watched as he tried to grab the discarded meat and place it back into my box. After complaining about the unhygienic treatment he gave me a new order but it was clear he gave me scrappy and burnt cuts. Was very displeased with the dirty behaviour. I would keep an eye out for your orders.

Lovely place with a small amount of seating. Majority of the staff that I have met are lovely and helpful. My favourite roll is the Mexican Oval Bite. Coffee is not bad too. I have the app on my phone and you get a free coffee after you have purchased a certain amount. You also get freebies occasionally.

Looking for high end, first class, artisanal grade food for when you're on the go? I can't help you with that, but if you fancy a decently priced sandwich/roll and a steak-bake, Gregg's will sort you out. Coffee is decent too.

Lovely staff and lovely rolls and coffee!! Im allergic to mayonaise and they make me a baggette or sub roll specially without any trouble (for which I am very grateful) The staff are always happy, cheerful and friendly, even when it is a busy time of day and they are obviously busy and under pressure. They always give good service and make my visit a very pleasent experiance. Well done guys 10/10

Genuinely one of the most enjoyable Tuesday nights I’ve ever had. The vibe was absolutely amazing and the people were so friendly and welcoming.

Pub is under new management dog friendly nice spacious garden clean and tidy inside landlady amazing and lovely atmosphere definitely worth a second visit after all improvements.

Great find just off the M1 - fabulous fish and chips - lovely people and service and a good pint. Easy parking in pretty village, not quite your traditional country pub but still had charm and we would absolutely go back again for the Fish & Chips which really were outstanding.

Really lovely pub that is connected to a fish and chips shop! We had their fish and chips and they were the best we have ever eaten - honestly delicious and worth checking out. Also nice to be able to sit down in a pub and have them served fresh, alongside a pint! The only thing I would say is that the pub is looking very tired and could definitely do with a refresh!

Beautiful food and a very comfortable pub in which to eat it. The Haggis was lovely, and whilst I worried that the deep fried chocolate would be too sickly to finish as a dessert, I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't.

Not bad. Log flume was clean and cubicles lockable for a change. Still do e trust waterless urinals but they are across the Mc board at present. In and out was tight, no idea how or why anyone would want to park directly opposite Mc Donald's entrance. Some of the parking and driving I witnessed in the past in MD carparks leads me to think that it's an insurance scam parking opposite. Parking was tight and limited unclear again, suspect it's to try and get you through the drive through. Staff I can't remember so must have been OK/ good. Food usual quality.

Very inconsistent, the food is sometimes really nice and sometimes very okay, but never really bad. The service is good, the restaurant is nice to sit in. The car park can get full. I have seen the Janitor here the entire time I've been growing up in Daventry, and I want to thank him for everything he's done to keep the place clean and tidy.

Do NOT order on just eat. Cant seem to be asked to prepare your food on there after 9pm, even though the app is still active. This is my second order they ‘accepted’ but couldn’t be asked to prepare. The most badly designed McDonald's on the planet! Got soaked ordering, then again paying, then again collecting as it was raining heavily and none of these areas have covers. Can't get into the drive thru if anyone is exiting the tiny car park and can't get out again if anyone is coming in. Food fine, staff fine..but not being able to keep a customer out of the rain when using a drive thru is bonkers!

We made an order online and the staff forgot to add a breakfast roll and a hash brown to the bag. When we called asking about the missing item they asked us to order a dip online and pay another £3 in delivery fees. This branch of McDonalds consistently gets orders wrong and does nothing to rectify the mistakes they make as well as continuing to make the same mistakes.

Terrible do not place an online order as you don’t get what your order is described as online. We placed a large order for 1/4 beef burgers with bun and lettuce. We received plain buns with a dry beef burger inside. When I raised the complaint I was told that they decide if they put garnish on yet the site says to place a note on the order if you want plain burgers. The notes section was left blank as I did want what was described in the description. Basically told they are right to make the assumption of what I wanted rather than what I actually ordered. Our meal cost over £60 and it is daylight robbery to charge that and not send what was ordered. Avoid!! And I raised a complaint immediately with Uber eats!! I was not offered a replacement as the owner is saying I was. I was told if I order again to ring and she will offer a discount. I refused as I won’t be going there again. And as for the catch 22 comment the description should be changed online to state you only get a bun and the burger. It may just be lettuce to you but when’s it’s detailed on your order you do expect to get it! And I have not slandered your small business I have merely left an honest review. And one which it appears to be very common with a lot of us old customers who were loyal to Michaels for many years. Their food was amazing and never once had to complain. That in itself speaks volumes when there are posts on social media by other customers who too have had a very bad experience with the new owners.

I haven’t been to Michael’s Golden Chippie since before the pandemic. But I grew up in Daventry, and my family visited this chip shop since I was a child. I was in the neighbourhood yesterday and it was great to see they are still open and trading post pandemic. I enjoyed a battered jumbo sausage, and devoured a 1/2lb burger and chips. The battered sausage was fresh, juicy but not too watery, and the batter was evenly coating the sausage and evenly cooked. The chips were fluffy and they have always had the beautiful consistency of almost melting in your mouth. Michaels always have had the best chips I have ever tried…. And I’ve tried a lot. The burger was amazing and brought back memories. What I’ve always loved about the burgers at Michael’s, is the feeling that mum could have made it with love for you. And that is what is great about this place. The mum and dad who ran this chippie may have retired, but their sons are there, continuing the tradition. This business has a love of the food they produce, they care about their customers, and are proud of their community. It truly is a hub and when I went in yesterday, even after 5-years nearly, it was great to be recognised and welcomed HOME.

We ordered a saveloy and chips and a chicken kebab and chips, all fresh and really yummy and hot. Customer service was good and the portion was great. Only thing I would add to make it 5* is if the person cooking wearing a hat/hair/beard net as I was a bit concerned I would find a beard hair in my food(I didn't!)

Lovely family ran business, very welcoming and accommodating to fussy children’s requests. Lovely spacious dine in area which saves washing and tidying up! The food was undoubtably the best fish and chips we have had in a long time, piping hot and fresh! Would hugely recommend! We will certainly be retuning, thank you!

We're from Yorkshire so have high fish and chips standards. Bloody brilliant. Lovely fish and chips, can't go wrong Pukka pie. The fish was so fresh it smelt of the North Sea. Small chips were massive heavens knows what the large is like. Great price will defo be back.

We recently ordered here for the first, it was really late and they were getting ready to close (we didn't know) they were polite on the phone and accepted the order, the food arrived within the time frame stated, it was hot, fresh and tasty. I have been coming here for the last few months all i can say is the fish and chips is amazing crispy on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside, not dry like some of the shops. Ive also tried the chicken kebab and the taste is 10/10. Great food service and the new owners are so welcoming and friendly and really take time to make you feel welcome! First time here and would not recommend. Food was stone cold and hard in some areas. Ordered cheese chips but chips were stone cold with no cheese on at all. Donner kebab was cold and ridiculously hard. Pitta bread was hard and basically stale. Asked for a chicken shish got a chicken doner instead was also stone cold and very hard. Tried to call but had no answer. Would not recommend at all.

Ordered online, and delivery has usually been fast (sometimes only 10 minutes). The food I've sampled has been genuinely very good, tasty and reasonably priced. Last delivery included: Chicken shish & doner Combo-kebab: Lovely large pieces of char-grilled Chicken, without being dry. The doner meat slices were not too greasy (it's a kebab) and freshly sliced. Served with ALL fresh salad, BBQ and chilli sauce. Nice touch having the salad separated from the meats at either end of the container and the pitta bread (which was a little dry) served on the top of the box. This is a great sharing kebab. Chicken wings & chips (6 pieces):  We've had the BBQ & Southern wings before, but prefer the Southern style wings (less messy) with a salty, herby and crunchy coating. Neither were dry or greasy, always extremely hot and good sized wings. We love the chips at pizza hot, in between a French-fry and chip. DELICIOUS. Coleslaw: A relative small round tub of crunchy vegetables (Carron, onion & cabbage etc.) smothered in a thick and creamy dressing. Only downfall is there WASN'T Enough. I order from here on a regular basis and the food has always been consistently done to a high standard. Food always fresh and full of flavour. Never had any issues even when I've had to make slight changes to certain dishes, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I won't go anywhere else and would highly recommend.

Honestly , it was terrible. We ordered Chips, chicken & prawn balls , savaloy , mini spring rolls , chicken and sweetcorn soup , 1/2 chicken balls. Chips where just greasy with no seasoning. Chicken and prawn balls , the batter to meat ratio was extemreme numerous times we just had a mouth full of batter. Savaloy was nice. Mini spring rolls where okay but still greasy. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was just bland had no flavour. I don't think we will be ordering from here again. You can see from the image , 1 half of the chicken ball was just batter.

Im not normally a fan of chinese, find others lacking for the cost, I ordered a set meal for 2 with a mate, £26 we couldnt get half way through it. Best Chinese ive had, that was amazing.

I stopped going here around 2 years ago and decided to give it a try again today. Never again. Chips wernt fresh. 100% reheated and tasted gross. The sweet and sour chicken had no flavour, chewy chicken(reheated I think) and 1cm of sauce at the bottom that didnt taste very nice. I wouldn't recommend.

ordering food for home delivery is disgraceful as when the person answer the phone firstly they want your phone number and put it onto the computer to confirm your address and it takes so long that I hang up and go in personally however the owners are great but not too good in English and they don’t understand our concerns but you can talk them as it’s the English staff which are the problem

[41] Special Curry with Fried Rice: Plenty of small pink Prawns, chicken chucks, half mushrooms, soft and succulent sliced Chinese Roast Pork, small ham cubes, onion petals and peas in a thick rich, salty and spicy HOT ginger curry sauce (No beef?). [69a] Beef with Mushroom & Black Bean Sauce: Lovely sliced beef and full to the brim with BIG mushrooms in a Rich, almost bitter salty black bean sauce. Not that spicy, but very aromatic and tasty. [89] King Prawn with Cashew Nuts: Very Plain and ordinary dish. Simply, Stir-fried King prawns, cashew nuts, bamboo shoots & water chestnuts with NO sauce (a bit Disappointing). In 42 years of mine, the worse fast food place I ever was. If you can, avoid it—they charge more than the listed price and keep increasing it if they see you're not a local. On top of that, they prepare the food with a negative attitude and treat you very poorly.

The food is straight up garbage. Ate here once and never again. If you want a good cheap meal try Jolly Fish Bar, and if you don't mind spending a bit more go for Pudding and Bear.

Except, they guy who called was so unnecessarily rude about it, then hung up on me the second I said cancel from his "delivery or cancel" ultimatum. What was that all about? Do better.

First and last visit. For pea fritters we normally pay £1.50 in our usual chippie. These were £2.40, batter was very thin and smaller. Chips were not particularly good either, plus we were overcharged.

Pea fritter was 10/10! Really helpful lady who was happy to answer all of our allergen questions. The only chip shop in Daventry who cook their chips separately to the fish. It was all lovely! Chips, mushy peas, curry sauce, pineapple fritters and pea fritters are all vegan!

Recently new owners and food is amazing, best chips and curry sauce and really good fresh fish! The shop is always lovely and clean and great customer service! Good portion size. No faults whatsoever.
