Restaurant
At Nagalang Seafood Restaurant, you can enjoy a delightful meal with a variety of options. Their steamed Siakap is deliciously flavorful, while the Thai chicken feet salad is moderately satisfying. The table arrangement includes salted peanuts and pickled papaya as complementary treats. What sets this place apart is its diverse menu, which extends beyond just Thai cuisine. Additionally, there's ample parking available for customers' convenience.
The rumble of my trusty motorbike finally quieted as I parked near the newly rebuilt stall of Nagalang sea food restaurant. About 10 minutes away from the city, the journey here, along coastal road of Jalan Sawagan China with glimpses of blue waters, had already been a treat, but the sight that greeted me was something else entirely. Perched right at the edge of the water, the open-air dining area offered an unobstructed panorama of the sea. The gentle lapping of waves provided a soothing soundtrack, and hues of orange and pink sky at sunset – a truly breathtaking backdrop to what I hoped would be a memorable meal. The surrounding village, with its charmingly rustic houses and the slow pace of life, added to the authentic island feel. But let's talk about the star of the show: the seafood. There was an April offer for 2-4 pax made of 5 dishes meal with rice at RM99 - Fantastic! From the moment the large butter prawns arrived, glistening and fragrant, I knew I was in for a treat. The freshness was undeniable; each bite was succulent fresh and bursting with the sweet taste of the ocean. I also sampled the sotong tepung, so crispy, andre specially request for a plate of perfectly seasoned sambal lala clam that disappeared far too quickly. It was clear that the ingredients were sourced locally and prepared with care, allowing their natural flavors to shine. The service was as warm and welcoming as the setting. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, offering helpful recommendations. Having previously shared stories of their damaged stilt restaurant and their ongoing efforts to revive it and sustain their business, your support is now crucial to their success. There was a genuine sense of hospitality that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. This wasn't just a meal; it was an experience. The combination of the stunning open seaview, the charming village atmosphere, and, most importantly, the incredibly fresh and delicious seafood made it a highlight of my island motorcycle adventure in Labuan. If you're ever in the area, make the journey – your taste buds and your senses will thank you. This is a gem worth discovering.

Love the environment, good view and relaxing breeze. Time taken to serve food is extremely long. Vege and rice are served half hour before the fish and prawn are served. It probably is acceptable if quality is good. But it's not. Not sure if I am holding a very different perspective from everyone else. Maybe this is another sad story from the pandemic. Then I hope they will recover quickly.

Delicious seafood with good service pleasant ambience and most importantly good price. Definitely can repeat 😎

Order steam Siakap and thai chicken feet. The steams Siakap taste really nice but the chicken feet salad taste is average. The table setting offer salted peanuts and pickled papaya. Variety of menu not limited to thai menu. The place have plenty of parking for customers

The most disappointing dinning experience for life . We TRIED to order a variety of dishes but keep getting “sorry not in stock” . Mentally I’ve giving up of having anything since all this restaurant can serve is “nothing” but we came a long and far way , the only thing that was available was prawn and squid .Order a butter nestum prawn but what arrived was a sad pathetic 7 small pieces of prawns buried in nestum dish at a price point of rm30 and a tall jug of ice Milo , ice Milo was on point and it deserves this 1star . The SeaView from the restaurant is nice and relaxing , staff is very friendly and attentive but the Restaurant is pretty much run down and one accident away from having the business shut down . Best to enjoy the SeaView with a jug of ice Milo 😉

Suitable place for dinner especially when you dine with family. Price is reasonable, peaceful and relaxable environment and also friendly waiter/waitress.

Ordered Grab and choosen self pick up. As mentioned by many, the restaurant place was scenic but we choose not to dine in. Dishes wise wasn't too bad yet wasn't excellent. Had some flower crab which portion seemed to be for single dining.

Seafood restaurant
Mawilla Yacht Club Restaurant, also known as Mawilla Seafood Restaurant, is a popular dining spot located near Ramsey Point. It offers a beachside dining experience with stunning views of Brunei Bay and Papan Island. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable seafood dishes, such as butter milk prawn, Nestum prawn, salted egg crabs, and mussels in chili.
This seafood restaurant has been around for maybe 20 odd years already. The place is old and most of the eating area is open air. However don't concern yourself about the old looking place. The place actually does not look like it would be a good restaurant. They fail in first impressions. Entering the area leads you to step on their well worn timber floor boards. Do however note that the floor planks are solid and they don't creek or sag when stepped on. Sitting is via their plastic chairs. So as I mentioned, don't worry about looks - come here for the seafood. The words "yacht club" in their name is probably from a long gone era. Today, there are no yachts, dinghy or other boats here. I believe their unique dish here is the silverfish. Their deep-fried silver fish with salted egg yolk is very tasty. This fish is actually the whitebait from China. They are fried whole and you eat everything, flesh and bones. But the bones are so soft, you won't actually know that there were even bones in the fish. The silver fish are about 25 to 50 millimeters long. The whitebait served here is the immature fish fry from China where they were raised in fish farms, frozen and then exported. I don't know what species of fish is this Chinese whitebait silver fish. Its English name is silver fish due to translation from Chinese. However, this whitebait silver fish is a delicacy here in Labuan. Overall, the seafood here is what we eat. No pork served in this restaurant. Enjoy their seafood and ignore the appearance of the restaurant building 🙂

The dishes look attractive but tastes very average. We ordered these dishes based on Google reviews... * salted egg silver fish - ok flavour but very dry and batter not cooked through properly * baby kailan in oyster sauce - found plastic in dish * tiger prawns - too much sauce but was thankfully cooked well * tom yum seafood soup - the worst tom yum soup ever tasted. Don't order! * garlic rice - tasted good It was busy when we arrived so I understand that waitresses can be stressed but overall customer service was not great... It was difficult to get any attention and help with the menu.

First time eating salted egg silver fish. It was recommended by the lady at the front stall. It didn't disappoint. It was so crunchy and mixed well with salted egg. I was initially sceptical and thought it was all just flour. Ikan masak 3 rasa was also the champion. Was happy and went home with full belly.
Chris G — Google review
I came to this place based on the internet recommendation and enjoyed the seaside dinner — beautiful atmosphere, relaxing vibe, and good service. But the food was extremely disappointing — truly the biggest letdown of the evening. The crabs were far from fresh: the meat was mushy, the roe was hard with an unpleasant smell, and some claws were missing. The fried silver fish was just flour with no actual fish inside. The seafood fried rice was bland and forgettable. Out of all the dishes, only the broccoli and corn soup were even remotely acceptable.
Mei Y — Google review
I especially love the sea breeze. I accompanied my mum for her school reunion dinner. The food was delicious, the ambience was excellent, and the service was fast. Parking is easy to find too.

A good seaside spot to have seafood! The food was good and the ambience too. Love the food that we ordered. Would love to return here when in Labuan again.

Taste so so But the prawn is quite big and worth it! So it give it 3 ⭐️
Jeffry P — Google review
I was brought to this place by a friend and it was a really fantastic recommendation. There was a large layout of fresh flower crabs, crayfish, prawns and an assortment of fishes, all apparently were caught on the same day. It was beside the sea and the restaurant had all the basic tables and chairs. It could have enhanced their layout to bring up the atmosphere. Anyway, most came for the food and being by the sea, it was already considered great dining experience. The two of us had salted egg flower crabs, steamed garoupa, calamari and vegetable. We washed down our food with beer. The bill came up to 117 Ringgits for food and 23 for beer. Very reasonable indeed. Service was a breeze and food presentation normal. The waiting staff was very obliging and tried their best to provide great service to the guests. They are fantastic and you can expect a great meal to be served well in this restaurant. I strongly recommend visitors to try this restaurant. Thank you for feeding us with great seafood.

Restaurant
The Red Onion restaurant offers a fantastic ambiance, making it an ideal spot to enjoy lunch, tea, or dinner. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring fast service. For starters, the meat nachos are excellent and come in a generous portion that can satisfy up to three people. It's advisable to order them before your main course. The lunch options are equally impressive with the lamb chop being particularly noteworthy due to its substantial size.
I recently visited a great restaurant and had a wonderful time. It's a popular spot so reservations are highly recommended. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to dine. I can't wait to go back!

Ordered Crab Meat pasta which was supposed to have crab meat, abundance of shrimp and black ink pasta (see photo). Gotten plain pasta (because black ink not available) with 2 fried shrimp and some bits of shrimp in the pasta. Didn't taste any crab meat in the pasta even though it's advertised as such. Pasta tasted fairly plain and slightly undercooked. The dish costs RM45 which was definitely overpriced for what was given. Friend ordered chicken chop that was slightly burnt. Overall disappointing food. Service and atmosphere was ok. But most likely would not return.

Used to be our favourite place when it came to family celebration. Haven't been here for quite a while & was a bit disappointed when our favourite choices were not available, though shown in the menu. The food tasted ok, but lacked presentation, mains used to be garnished with more vegetables. Even our seafood salad came with just 5 pieces of lettuce & hygiene could be an issue too, since l found a strand of hair in the salad. Didn't take a photo since the waitress took it away when l complained. Not surprised when there were less than 10 patrons at the restaurant last night, compared to previously when we had to make a reservation to get a table

A good Italian restaurant in Labuan with an amazing bar linked to it called Rusty Blade that serves up decent grub, decently priced drinks and a fun environment for ale, pool, karaoke, live music and a DJ who spins tunes to liven up the night. Always my favorite place to chill at whenever I'm in this neck of the woods.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal in the poolside café. The tables arranged on the brick deck overlooking the pool create a nice ambiance and the staff are kind and attentive. The dishes we ordered featured well balanced flavours, fresh ingredients and were attractively plated. We will definitely return the next time we are in Labuan.

Cafe
Mortar Cafe Lounge is a cozy establishment that offers an extensive range of diverse cuisine options. Their menu boasts a wide selection of local and international dishes, including the unique paratha sandwich. Despite its unappealing image on the menu, the actual dish is delicious and satisfying, with a generous portion size that leaves you feeling satisfied. The noodle dishes and dim sum also receive positive reviews. It's advisable to book in advance for lunch or brunch as it tends to get busy.
Mortar is a cozy place that offers a huge variety of different types of food. It has a great selection of local and international items on its menu. I was very tempted to try their paratha sandwich, as it seemed very unique. Even though the image on the menu didn’t look appealing, the actual dish was really good! 👍🏼 I loved it! The portion was pretty big and the taste was great as well. It wasn’t too dry. The noodle dishes and dim sum were also nice. I’m sure everyone can find something they like. The place gets busy during lunch/brunch. So better get a table in advance.

We had our late lunch here. Ordered the Sandakan style prawn yee mee (RM21.90) a bit over priced as only 3pcs of prawns (luckily was fresh), BBQ Mix Konlo mee (RM19.50) reasonable as it's mixed of roast chicken and roasted duck. The duck meat was tender and tasty with it's sauce, Korean Spicy Chicken Wings with rice (RM21.00).. Comes with 3 pcs of chicken wings in Korean sauce and white rice. Kinda dry but taste was good. We also ordered dimsum... Fried Bean skin Prawn (RM8.90 for 3pcs), Chicken Prawn Dumplings (RM8.50) and Salted Egg Siew Mai (RM8.50) both got 3pcs per set. It's their in house hand made and the portion is big. A lot bigger than most restaurant serving dimsum. Worth the price. Highly recommended for their dimsum.

Had a local dessert, ABC, here. Shaved ice with add on an and delicious rose syrup. Very refreshing and delicious. Staff were super nice and helpful. Nice clean and odor free restaurant. Wanted to come back to try more dishes because the restaurant setting is nice and menu has good offering with very decent prices. But did not make it. So next time.

Room service food is sad. Salad with traces of eggs (not even whole) and pieces of chicken less than 5. Iceberg lettuce, not romaine like the illustration for purpose menu. Very pale tomato. I dont know how else to describe it pls see the photo 🤣🤣 the mushroom dimsum is just thrown into paper bag, as well as the bbq chicken pau. Taste wise is 2/5, maybe im just hungry but if i was to be invited here for dining-- one of those orders i wouldn't repeat. Thank you for being enthusiastic about serving your hotel guests and the food you present. 😄😄

I had lunch here during Mother’s Day, so the place was packed with people. Wantan Mee Hoon Seafood – RM16.90 The seafood was very fresh and had a nice chewy texture. Gado-Gado – RM18.90 It contains anchovies, but if you're not a fan, you can request to have them removed. Saito Katsu Don – RM17.90 It’s just chicken, vegetables and rice, but it’s very filling once you finish it. Cookies and Cookies Sponge Cake (½ kg) – RM50.50 The cream is cookie-flavored with a simple design. The plain water is free of charge and is located at the center of the café for self-service.

Updated: The service getting worse and down fall each time I come here. I waited for someone handle me a menu and take my order like 10 minute but no one to care ( i go around 4-ish not so many customer). I got called the waitress but being ignore and push the call button at the table also got ignored. A day before I also come this restaurant order some chicken rice but it take ages to arrive and the serve me with cold rice. So people please do not waste your time to dine here. THE WORST! Old : The food rather average nice place to bring your family and friend to having dinner. The food selection is variety

Maybe I'm just easy to please but I liked it here! I ordered roasted duck rice and it was really good, savoury but a tad bit much on the sweeter side. Aside from that, I ordered iced chinese team As you may guess, it is prepared up to the standard of what chinese tea tastes like for most. They are generous with the ice, but in a sufficient amount and the flavour sticks strong. The staff were also welcoming and friendly with smiles. Overall, a lovely experience as I was the first to come at an early Saturday morning. Much love.💕

Victoria's Brasserie comes highly recommended by a friend, particularly for their delectable Lamb rice which is satisfyingly flavorful with an authentic aroma. The combination of the Lamb rice and curry sauce is truly delightful. Equally impressive is their mango shave ice, which boasts a soft and pleasant texture. Both dishes are absolute must-tries when visiting this establishment.
We been recommended by friend to tried the Lamb rice. It did not disappoint us at all, the Lamb rice is amazingly good with authentic aroma, tasted very fulfilling especially when it goes together with the curry sauce. Subsequently the mango shave ice is soft and nice. Both of the dishes has been listed as my CANNOT miss on my next visit.

Selection of food is not that good. Less choice, food tastes mediocre, and service is just okay. The selection of dessert is the biggest let down. Seafoods served were not fresh. They can do better.

The Living Room is a delightful haven for those seeking relaxation and good food. Nestled within the Dorset Hotel, this modern café offers a serene outdoor space perfect for unwinding after a long day. The menu features an array of Western dishes, including the delectable mee goreng kambing and flavorful mango chicken served with soft naan—though some may prefer it spicier! Happy hour until 7 PM makes it even more appealing, with enticing deals on beer like Hoegaarden at just RM15.
Food is great, very nice dining layout. Staff were very helpful & friendly. The only thing is the music did not match with the environment and it was quite hard to have a conversation, some soft jazz would be nice.
Abel F — Google review
A cozy place to have a meal along with couple of drinks. The meal prices are on the higher side - averaging around RM25/meal with main focus on Northern Indian food. Nonetheless the selection of whisky/liquor are amazing.
Blythe K — Google review
Such a great restaurant in the Dorset Hotel. But not affiliated withe the hotel. So eat at your own risk! The bar has an excellent selection of whiskeys, wine and you can bring in your cigars! Great lounging area! The smash burger… do not order! The steak or meat they use is not properly grinded so you get big chewy pieces of tough ligaments you can’t chew through. Don’t get it. Save the trouble of ordering it and get something else. Oh and don’t get the salted egg chicken spaghetti either. It is not good. The chicken wings are crispy and perfect but needs a touch of salt. The mango lassi I drank had lots of fiber and stringy pieces of mango that I spit out as well. Oh and my friend ordered the watermelon juice and it was so bitter. Don’t bother getting ketchup from here either. It smells like vinegar. Totally spoiled. You’re safer eating in the bar lounge of the hotel. If you just want to have a drink and smoke cigars, then yes! The living room is a great gathering place! But don’t eat anything from the kitchen. Your tummy with be mad with you later! Besides the terrible food, the service is as excellent! The servers are friendly and they are so kind! Too bad the chef can’t perfect his cooking to match this atmosphere! The restaurant is super clean, and cozy! Just not to dine in. Good luck to anyone that eats here! Let me know if you try anything on the menu that could be decent.

My second time in Labuan and this has become my favourite spot to unwind over lunch or dinner. The lamb today was delish!!!! This restaurant is located inside the Dorset Hotel which is excellent for hotel guests like me.

Ordered their matcha bingsu and oreo cheesecake out of recommendation. To our surprise, it tasted like disappointment. Cheesecake was bland, gelatine was not fully dissolved and you are literally eating pieces of it inside the cake. The matcha bingsu was even worse. It is literally just shaved ice with matcha powder. Could use some sweetener or cream to make it tastier and easier to indulge in. Such a shame that the environment was already perfect!
Bridget L — Google review
Please season your food...the grilled chicken was very bland. Also, ordering was difficult as no one attended to us. Yes, I understand it was a small mistake not noticing a customer walk in, but I had to raise my hand 5 to 6 times and wait a long time, even though staff were passing by while wiping tables. Surely I shouldn’t have to raise my voice just to get someone's attention.

Great place to relax and enjoy the evening. The outdoors is pretty peaceful and chill. The food served is also nice. We had mee goreng kambing, which was really nice, and mango chicken with plain naan. The mango chicken taste good too, however my personal preference would be to have it spicier🌶️ The naan was really nice! Until 7pm, they have a happy hour on beer - buy two pints get one free, which is a great deal. A ping of Hoegaarden is RM15! 🍺 The music played is very good too. A great place, recommended!
Edgaras K — Google review
A modern cafe which serves western style dishes and an assortment of drinks. Layout of the place is comfortable and there is both indoor and outdoor sitting. Place is extremely clean and beautiful. There is a long bar at one of the walls. Beer on tap is available. The wall at the bar is actually completely filled with whiskey bottles. 😃 The drinks menu here will satisfy a wide range of tastes from soft drinks, juices, craft beers, cocktails, mocktails, whiskeys, brands, liqueurs, red wines and white wines. This place should be the place where you can kick back and enjoy your time with friends.

Fresh seafood is the order of the day here, and they are reasonably priced, too. Best to come in a group so that you can order a variety of dishes to share. Dining here for lunch and dinner offer a different experience, so try both.

I really like the setting next to the river, I wish they did boat trips or dinners on the river. The food was good. My only problem is no one spoke English so ordering was a mission. The staff tried to help me best they can and were very friendly.
Micki M — Google review
Food is good, fresh, well priced for a seafood restaurant like this. Waiting time for food was good. They served it hot, unlike at Mawilla. However their dining service was very poor. I need to ask everything for myself. For example, to have all the sauces, chillies, I need to get up and find myself. Secondly, we were eating a kilo of crab and a kilo of prawn, whenever my plate is full with shells I need to get up and find the waiter for a new plate (3 times). Lastly, I didn't finished my coconut. I asked them for tapau, they just put the whole coconut in a plastic beg. I understand some customer would like that. But, they can always ask me. (Rarely I find restaurant tapau whole coconut). (Really last) And front counter was not that nice. The girl waiter who take our order was nice however.

Food taste so so. The advantage is many types of seafood available and taste wise, I would say downtown restaurant taste better. But good thing is cheap price. 2 grade B mud crabs, half kg siput (snail), 5 pcs mantau and one coconut price at RM37.

Quiet place, you can choose to have buffet or set menu here. Ask the price before order and self budget. Taste wise... So-so..

Nestled in a prime location opposite the waterfront, Dorsett Grand Labuan stands out as an upscale hotel that promises a delightful stay. With its inviting steakhouse, buffet restaurant, and two bars, guests can indulge in a variety of culinary experiences. The outdoor pool adds to the charm of this five-star establishment. During my recent excursion to Labuan, I was captivated by the abundance of fresh seafood available at local markets—definitely a treat for food lovers!
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and ready to help. The room was very clean and well-maintained which made me stay even more relaxing. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the food was delicious with great variety to choose from. I truly enjoyed my experience here and would definetely recommend Dorsett Grand Labuan Hotel to anyone!

The hotel is old but it's in reasonable condition. Staffs are great. My only concern is the room service (cleaning) seems lacking. The food, service, size of room and location are great.

Thank you to the staff who were very helpful during check-in and check-out. Our room was very spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location of this hotel is very strategic because it is close to the shopping center. The view from the room is also very beautiful. The breakfast at this hotel's restaurant is amazing, with many choices of local and international food provided. Not to forget the quality of the food served is above 100%!! And following certain standards such as the size and taste of the cake provided according to the price given...very reasonable. This hotel is also very good because it provides reasonable prices, especially if it is accompanied by attractive packages or promotions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the overall environment was pleasant and comfortable. We loved dining here and look forward to coming again!

If you're on the hunt for a lively and modern dining experience, look no further than Whoop Whoop Labuan. This restaurant is celebrated for its fusion-style cuisine that beautifully blends Western flavors with local influences, making it an ideal spot for casual meals with friends or family. The inviting atmosphere complements their diverse menu, which caters to various tastes and preferences. Whoop Whoop Labuan offers a delightful casual dining experience without compromising on quality.
Stop by here for lunch after shopping at the nearby duty free shops. Atmosphere is excellent. Service is nice, with responsive waiters. Their beers are cheap as well. Food wise, the chicken chop is well recommended. The aglio olio and buffalo chicken wings were so so. But the price is cheaper than other famous cafe.
Hospital K — Google review
The Food i order the chicken butter came out cold. The portions are too small and im still hungry, the taste of it is nice but since the food came out cold and portions are small i would rate the chicken butter 2.5/5. Moving on, the french onion soup is a disappointment, i was really excited to taste it. But its just bland and cold also. Only mush onions water with salt, the garlic toast with cheese doesn't make a difference in the soup. The service on the other hand is usual just like every other restaurant. Other than that the atmosphere of the restaurant is great i love the vibe its a more of a relax theme. MAIN COMPLAINTS: 1. Food is cold 2. Portions are too small 3. The prices with such portions is a bit too much. But affordable I hope they can change. Thanks for the service guys

Whoop Whoop Labuan delivers on both quality and atmosphere. The food arrives in generous portions and lives up to expectations in taste. The casual yet lively setting makes it a suitable spot for group discussions, casual meet-ups, or a relaxed dinner. With its consistent service and welcoming vibe, it stands out as one of Labuan’s go-to dining spots.

This establishment offers a casual dining experience with fine dining quality at an affordable price point. The restobar provides both lunch and dinner service, with distinct menus for each. During my visit for lunch, I enjoyed a pasta dish with a generous portion size. The value for money was excellent, and I intend to return in the near future to sample their dinner offerings.

Anjung Ketam Gerai No.2 is a hidden gem in Labuan, offering delicious and affordable seafood. Visitors can handpick their choice of fresh seafood, which is then weighed and priced before being expertly cooked in the kitchen. The salted egg sauce is particularly noteworthy. Despite its unassuming appearance, this humble dining spot exudes a charming fishing village ambiance and continues to be a beloved destination for seafood enthusiasts due to its reasonable prices, good food quality, and attentive service.
Best seafood in town. Need to preorder prior coming to this shop. Great for group of friends and family event. Literally beside the sea, can enjoy the view if for early dinner since sun sets in Labuan by 630pm.

Seafood restaurant
During a 4-day, 3-night staycation, I dined at New Sung Hwa, a seafood restaurant with an inviting sea breeze and breathtaking sunset views. The delectable dishes were reasonably priced and adored by children. They even offered nostalgic treats like peanuts and jeruk betik, reminiscent of old-style eateries. While the venue itself may not initially captivate due to its dimly lit corridor and stairs, the friendly owner provided excellent service once greeted.
This seafood restaurant has been here decades ago. It is probably the oldest seafood restaurant in Labuan. They occupy two lots on the first floor and access is via a stairway at the furthest end of the shops. But do take care climbing the steps as it can be wet and the restaurant obviously does not bother with keeping it dry. They have an air conditioned section as well as one with natural ventilation. The well enclosed air conditioned section can get cold and acoustics is horrible - solid walls without curtains lead to echoing sounds and some slightly high and irritating chatter volume. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very much a typical coffee shop type. But come here for the food. It is well cooked and tasty. Off course, don't expect much variety during poor weather (monsoon) periods. This restaurant does not have tanks with live fish in it but their seafood is either fresh or frozen.

Very nice seafood .very fresh. Squid fried flour is so addictive .7 dishes only rm266.5. The vege also very young and fresh. I recommend everyone to try this restaurant . NO PORK BUT GOT SERVE ALCOHOL

Nearly just walked on past, but I was thirsty and needed a beer. Accidentally stayed for dinner. This place loved up to the ratings and the saying In Asia, it's about the food not the decor. The staff were super friendly and made concessions for me being an ignorant westerner (which I am). I ordered too much food (hence some plates are still half full in the photos). But the grouper was fantastic, the veg indulgent and the rice absorbant. The beer (San Mig Light - not what I'd usually go for) refreshed perfectly. The view over the bay was aweeome too.

Great food and at reasonable prices and portion. Air conditioned restaurant and have outdoor seatings too. Limited parking as next door is a hotel? Almost couldn’t find this restaurant until I saw that the address is at Level 1. Definitely will come back again to try more with the family.

There’s air conditioned indoor seating and outdoor seating with ceiling fans and river views. Seafood was fresh. Picked the live mud crabs myself. Their black pepper crab was a little sweet, can’t taste the black pepper. Maybe that’s the local style compared to black pepper crabs in Singapore. Garlic prawns was amazingggg! Overall, still delicious food!

This seafood restaurant recommended from we staying the hotel reception women. The restaurant is New Sung Hwa Seafood restaurant in Labuan. We are 4 adults & 2 kids, order steam fish, baby lobster, Malay Kangkung, prawn & lala, prawn they passed wrong to next table. I was recommended the baby lobster, Malay Kangkung & steam fish very yummy & fresh. Lala so so only, got one smell “xing” taste can’t accept! We also got order drinks. The place in first floor need use staircase to climb up, old ppl & wheelchair no convenient, got air con & open air place, drive from terminal ferry Labuan just 5 min. Went there for dinner during 4 days 3 nights staycation. The wind from the sea is definitely nice for sunset scenery. Food was tasty with reasonable price that my children love it! Don't go there if you are in rush because they serve quality food with heart...😁

Restaurant Pulau Labuan is a delightful gem for those seeking authentic Chinese cuisine. With an impressive array of dishes, this eatery stands out for its generous portions and fresh ingredients, particularly the salt and pepper calamari that boasts a light tempura-like batter. The prawn in coconut curry is another highlight that visitors rave about, making it a must-try on your visit. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, especially during weekdays when it's less crowded, allowing you to enjoy your meal in peace.
Honestly one of the better Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten at - I think it beats the ones that my family usually frequents in KL lol… Be careful about their “S” sizes, it should categorized as M instead, we kinda over ordered as a result. My favourite was the salt pepper sotong or calamari, the batter was very light (almost like tempura) and was seasoned well. I’m surprised again by how fresh sotong in Labuan usually is. Their Pulau Labuan style fried chicken is also good, easy to eat without having to tear the meat apart with cutlery. My only complaint is that the Chinese Tea (the individual glass kind) didn’t really taste like Chinese tea 😅 Total bill for the three S dishes and the half-portion chicken and two cold chinese tea was RM123, enough to feed 4-5 pax (there was 2 of us).

At JJ Nazar (Indian) Restaurant in Labuan, food enthusiasts can indulge in a delightful culinary experience. While the Nasi Beriyani Ayam may not have met expectations for some diners, with its flavor falling short of the price tag, the Mee Goreng Mamak shines as a standout dish that many rave about. This eatery is cherished for being one of the few places open late into the night, providing a cozy atmosphere where patrons can enjoy traditional mamak dishes.
My colleague and me had 2 biryani and it was well worth it. From an Indian perspective the quantity was slightly less but the taste and quality feels really good... Amazing food and great hospitality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Had a pleasant experience at JJ Nazar Labuan. The food was tasty, portions were generous, and the place felt clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and service was quite fast too, which made our visit enjoyable. There’s still a bit of room for improvement — maybe in terms of variety or consistency of certain dishes — but overall, it’s a nice spot to dine in Labuan. One of my guilty pleasures in Labuan for food. It's probably the only morally decent establishment that opens up till late at night here (like till 1 am). Food offered are the usual mamaks & staff are attentive & polite. No alcohol in the menu (a major plus point) but I really wish people would not smoke while hanging out here. Even when they sit at the supposedly outdoor seating, the cigarette smell wafts into the restaurant itself.

Menu that we order: 1. Nasi Beriyani Ayam 2. Mee Goreng Mamak Review: 1. I order nasi beriyani ayam that cost me Rm14++ if I'm not mistaken. I really wanna try their nasi beriyani but I'm really disappointed with the taste. The taste was not up to par and really not worth it considering its expensive price. Not the best nasi ayam beriyani that I ever taste here in Labuan. Overall 4/10 2. Mee Goreng Mamak here I can say it's one of the best here in Labuan. I forgot the price but the taste is really tasty. You got a handful portion of mee goreng mamak and really tasty one. Really recommend to order this one if you ever going here. Overall 8/10

Visited this restaurant for the first time in Labuan after hearing recommendations from staff at Ujana Kewangan. The food was tasty, but perhaps best to come during non-peak hours — we went around 7:30pm, and it was quite busy. Service was a bit slow, with our takeaway taking more than 30 minutes. Hopefully, the experience will be smoother during off-peak times. Still worth trying for the food!

Cucina De Olive Restaurant is a unique blend of a chill cafe and fine dining establishment, offering tempting cakes and a relaxed atmosphere with free board games and books. The breakfast menu offers hearty options at prices ranging from RM10-RM30, accompanied by good service. The restaurant's owner, who has extensive travel experience, pays attention to small details like serving cookies with coffee and providing dental floss toothpicks.
A must visit if you're in Labuan. Large portions, reasonable pricing, cakes are nice, good service and relaxing environment. (Must try: Classic Chicken Chop and most cakes are good)
Abel F — Google review
The pumpkin soup was bland and tasteless. Had to add nearly 3 to 4 pinch of salt just to get some flavor out of the soup. Bread was buttered well but was cold and stale. I wouldn't recommend the pumpkin soup here unless the chef had an off day and forgot to add seasoning for this particular batch of soup made. The chicken chop was OK. The chicken thigh was cooked well and the sauce was well seasoned. However, the fries were stone cold and felt like they had been fried and kept on the table for a few hours before being served. The service was good and the waiters were nice and polite. If I were to come here again, I would order something else besides the soup and the chicken chop.
Shabbir S — Google review
Ambience is quiet chilling and surprisingly from a chill cafe combined to it is a fine dining restaurant. You'll find it interesting cause the cafe got a lots of tempting cakes. Board games and books is free to use as well! But we didn't sit there tho. We move to the fine dining since its more comfortable to eat our breakfast. Heavy one 😂. The price can range from RM10-RM30. The service is quiet good. Some of them is smiling. Some are not. But yeah its fine by me. Now lets move to the food. I ordered fish and chips, didnt really like it. The only things that i like about it is the crispy of the fish. The mushroom soup is too creamy. The kway teow in the other hand is quiet nice! Should try if you fan of noodle 🤗. Food presentation is awesome and the quantity is quiet big for me. Thats should be all. That's my opinion. Different people got different opinion! 😉 thank y'all for reading!

Good: This may sound odd but their bathroom is pristine clean and so does the hand washing area. Anyway, back to foods. The chicken chop (RM15) ain't too shabby and the portion is OK. Mixed grill (RM20) is OK too but if you don't like lamb, then you're out of luck. Had a teapot (RM8) for our drink and it can be shared by a few people Bad: The slices of cake aren't that nice and pricier than Secret Recipe's. Had the red velvet (RM10.50) and it tasted nothing like red velvet 😅 Ugly: None

Nice comfortable place to dine in. Slightly over-priced but OK for the portion size you get. A bit oily but overall basic western food and good dining in atmosphere. Western food so-so, simple decoration, clean setting but the waiters don't seem to be mindful and they need to improve their communication skills

This place is run by someone who is old(like me) and has traveled extensively (also like me). So many small details which are not seen very often. Cookies with the coffee, haven’t seen that in years. Dental floss tooth picks-awesome! Young pretty friendly staff. Good food, Caesar salad great, chicken Maryland good, served with beans which they can do without but seems to be an Asian thing. Served with fries instead of mash potatoes, safe; no one seems to know how to make them. Chicken just a touch over cooked but still tasty. The cream sauce was the highlight, over all well done. It’s so nice to see this small island picking up its culinary game. A few years ago there was no good food here!! Tried the pesto angel hair with poached egg. Fortunately the pasta was cooked properly, unfortunately the egg was way over cooked and the was a slight pesto smell but no real pesto flavour, big disappointment.

Labuan Fisherman Harbour Restaurant is a delightful establishment that has remained consistently exceptional over the years. Their signature dish, the giant Tiger prawn baked with cheese, received high praise in a review from four years ago. Recent visits have confirmed that this restaurant still offers an outstanding dining experience. The steam fish and fried fish prepared in Nyonya style were particularly impressive, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to exquisite flavors.
This was my second time having dinner at Fisherman Harbour Restaurant (Chinese Restaurant), and once again, it was a great experience! The food was really good, and my little family truly enjoyed it. The portions were generous, definitely more than enough to fill our happy tummies! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole dining experience even better. I’ve also been to their other restaurant many times in the same building, which sells sup ikan, ngau chap, chicken rice, and dim sum. I’m always there for their sup ikan, definitely one of the best in town! Fisherman Harbour never disappoints, whether it’s for a hearty soup meal or a nice dinner with family. Highly recommend!

After trying the ones in KK, the taste here is abit underwhelming but still relatively good for Labuan. Ordered tomyam with deep fried fish fillet along with dried konlo mee. The noddle itself is quite springy albeit it lacks abit of flavour as compared to the ones in KK. Not really a deal breaker but it's edible. The batter used in the deep fried fillet is abit thick which made the tomyam flavours to not penetrate well into the meat. Anyhow it's still good for me and it does soothe my craving for deep fried fish fillet with tom yam soup.

What an amazing last dinner meal in Labuan. Undeniable one of the best seafood restaurants there! Authentic and raw. Can't get any fresher than this. Everything was a delight and as good as it looks like. All the dishes we ordered were so delicious and nice..we ordered Nasi goreng, fried squid, mapo tofu, sweet sour fried fish, nestum shrimp for 2pax.. Perfect seasoning n texture 🐙 is big and tender, something different than other restaurants.. Maop tofu is mix sichuan and chinese malaysian style.. U cant taste mala(huajiao) in it.. Nestum flavor which is not commonly can find in Sabah.. Higly recommend I'd defenitly love to go back here when I visit Labuan next time👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Many type of food for lunch, delicious and low price❤️

The food here is good. Ayam Penyet fish curry and the sambal was exceptional. Drinks were alright. The mixed rice was alright too. Service was a little slow despite the lack of customers but it is still within acceptable range. But the downer was the price. While ayam penyet, air sirap and limau panas was priced fairly, the mixed rice was overpriced. One scoop of rice was RM3.50. Two pieces of chicken costs RM14 One vege was RM2. One telur dadar (small) was RM7. This one meal costs RM26.50. This is even more expensive than in Kuala Lumpur. Nonetheless the views here are very nice and unbeatable.

Great place to get a meal while waiting on your ferry. Breezy and ample seating near the water. They have a menu with some items, but the main offering is buffet-style food - though you're charged based on what you get. With my pyrimyd of rice, I got three different vegetable dishes (eggplant, jackfruit, pumpkin) and an egg. They were all very tasty and not too spicy. They also have chicken satay (.70sen/stick) and various chicken and fish curries.

Food was cold and pricey. Only nasi goreng kampung was decent. Customer service and system not efficient. Has a good seaside view near terminal however there’s bigger room for improvement.

Halal food here is delicious, the beef is so tender, the fried squid also fresh and good. Price is reasonable. Beautiful sea view is a plus.

Kedai Kopi New Wah Hong Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that captures the essence of local dining. As I strolled past, the sight of numerous patrons enjoying their meals drew me in, and I couldn't resist trying their Mee Goreng Iban, which was absolutely scrumptious. The Konlo mee also impressed with its flavor, all at incredibly reasonable prices. This eatery is particularly popular during lunch hours among office workers who flock here for their economy rice options.
Recalled having ordered the roasted pork without rice. Single portion MYR8. Also tried the kampua mee with minced pork. All tasted alright. Good try. And I finally found a steam bun shop!

Walked passed this shop and saw many uncles eating here, so decided to try. Had the Mee Goreng Iban which was delicious. Konlo mee was good too. Price was cheap too. They also have ecpnomy rice which a lot of white collars came to have for lunch. If I come back to Labuan, I will order this again. Sad that I didn’t get to try their pau’s.

Food was very good and affordable. We ordered Kampua Mee (Kical) with Char Siew and Sao Nyuk, only for RM7. Definitely worth. Restaurant full of locals. Will revisit!
Elvie T — Google review
Nice old-school kopitiam atmosphere with comforting Sarawakian food at reasonable prices (unlike most eateries in Labuan). Kampua mee (RM7) was okay, pork filled kompia (RM5 per pair) was good, teh tarik (RM2.5) was bland.
Aaron C — Google review
The floors were so dirty. There were used tissues everywhere and food stains everywhere. I don't know how this place got 'B', it should be lower than C. Staffs were rude ,and couldn't even serve food to customers properly. Never coming back again. Bad experience here. I thought maybe the food could compensate for the unwelcoming staff atmosphere but no. Food quality were low to average.

The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality ingredients that shine through in their authentic dishes.
Service and environment is welcoming. Comfortable and clean. Roti canai is crunchy, dip with beef curry it’s tasty. Mi goreng mamak also tasty. Tastes more like Indian mi goreng mamak Update: they have the best beef curry in Labuan!!! Also place is one of the cleanest in Labuan. If you look for authentic Indian foods can eat here

Indian cuisine. Service was okay, food is good. Ordered pataya and it tasted good! (Seriously not your normal pataya, tasted good!) My friend ordered roti planta, it was a bit oily (maybe because of the butter) however the taste was WOW. One of the best roti planta I had ever taste. Price was okay, not too expensive but the atmosphere was a bit dull, should have put more attraction to this shop such as music box or maybe pinball machine for customer to play (just a suggestion, maybe can be something else).
IPuK — Google review
Accompanied my Indian crew for his breakfast, lunch and dinner take away. Offers vegetarian food. This is Indian cuisine restaurant.
Mohd A — Google review
Not the best Indian restaurant. Simple breakfast or tea time food consist of naan or dhosai - the gravy is not consistent: sometimes the taste is there or missing or too watery or bland, occasionally overnight. Garlic naan is literally not finely chopped garlic on top of the naan as opposed to be infused with the dough. Teh tarik: sometimes too sweet, but where is the tea? Over diluted? Pricing is not the cheapest and best of luck on your dining experience.

First time visiting this restaurant, probably will be the last. Very bad service attitude, refused to acknowledge and welcome customers as they walked into the restaurant. Staffs shouting and laughing in the restaurant while other diners were having their meals, to a point we had to ‘shh’ them. Menu displaying dishes were very different from what they plated and served. Rather deceiving. Ordered four dishes. 1. Thai green curry with chicken - awful, the chicken pieces were heavily coloured, it appeared to be neon green. Quite a scary view. Didn’t taste like an authentic dish at all. 2. Papaya salad - tasteless, no elements of acidity from lime, fragrances from peanuts. It was a dish made of a few ingredients but without any integration of flavours. 3. Tomyum rice vermicelli with seafood - the soup base was not made from fresh ingredients, may be from premade paste. It didn’t have the flavour profile that should present in a fine tomyum soup. 4. Tomyum fried rice with seafood - rice served was very soggy. Uneven distribution of seasonings, could physically bite on the crystals of salts and MSG. Rice, when cooked, were not tossed properly, could spot few rice clumps. Was expecting something to be rather mediocre-to-okay here in this restaurant. But it just turned out to be a very bad lunch experience with them. Better luck next time.
J — Google review
Price is high. Bad service-not entertained even though no people around. Tomyam is just common while the fried rice is too oily. Received very simple RM5 omelete where your own cook is better!

Very poor services!! we've waited for the meal almost 1 hour, and we are the only customers came that time. almost run out of our lunch time. 3 staff sitting behind the counter talking to each other which makes us feels more frustrated. The management should hire more staff at the kitchen to improve speed instead of the dining area. this will be the last time I eat there.

Extremely slow service! I waited for 1 hour only to found out that the chicken still hasn’t defrost! If I didn’t asked, probably I have to wait up to 2 hours. When I asked why so late, only then the staff went to the kitchen and then tell me the update. So frustrating. So for 1 hour I was only served iced coffee and left with empty stomach. Better close this restaurant!

Thank you Win Cafe for the terrible service from yall.
Frost F — Google review
The food was actually quite good, but the service really needs improvement. There were clearly not enough staff — the same person was taking orders, handling the cashier, serving food, and cleaning tables. Even the kitchen seemed understaffed, as the food took a very long time to arrive despite the restaurant not being busy. It was quite frustrating having to wait so long. Hopefully, the management will look into hiring more staff to improve the overall experience.

It was our first time dining at Island Garden Food & Cafe, and we decided to try the Chicken Tapai and Fried Lotus Salted Egg based on a friend’s recommendation. The Chicken Tapai had a nice flavor, and the Fried Lotus Salted Egg was quite enjoyable as well. The portions were decent, and the taste did not disappoint. What made the experience even better was the friendly gesture from the owner, who gave us two complimentary mandarin oranges—a small but thoughtful touch that added warmth to our visit. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and we’d love to come back to try more dishes!

In the morning you can find individual stalls selling various Malaysian food while in the evening, a "tai chow" (masakan berlauk) seller opens until night time Good: The gado-gado Jawa is as authentic as it can get (RM6 for daging) and the only other establishment that sells this is the one in Chow Kit KL. Highly recommended. Soto Makassar is also sold here and it's basically a mash-up of soto and the sauce of gado-gado. Bad: Parking here might be a nightmare so best to find parking someone else further and just walk over here. Ugly: None that I can think of EDIT: The gado-gado Jawa price has since increased its price by RM1 to RM7 for the beef variant

If you're on the hunt for authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than Sabai Sabai Thai Resto Bar. This charming eatery is a treasure trove of bold flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. The tom yum soup is a must-try, delivering the perfect balance of heat and tanginess that spice enthusiasts will adore. Equally impressive is their green curry, which boasts a rich and creamy texture infused with aromatic herbs that create an unforgettable dining experience.
Tom yum was great, green curry was delicious. Would recommend if you are in town and craving for thai food. Portion is also generous. Its on the 2nd floor.

Pad Thai got tomato sauce, so taste kinda different. it is still nice nonetheless. my friend ordered Suki glass noodle, it is full of celery taste. we ordered not spicy but the waitress heard wrongly and gave us extra spicy 🔥 when we asked the waitress about it, the waitress just said sorry and smile at us, never offered to exchange or anything. 😑 must really double check with the staff here about your order.

Nestled in a charming spot known as "Our Little Corner," this eatery has been delighting taste buds since 2007. After a brief hiatus, I returned in 2022 to find the beloved soto makasar still thriving, now managed by the owner's son. The flavors remain exceptional, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic soto makasar.
I have enjoyed the soto makasar here since 2007. I left Labuan in 2012 and have been coming back to this amazing little corner once in a while and the level of deliciousness is still on spot. Today in 2022, I once again come and was very happy to realised that the soto makasar stall is still operating, run by the uncle’s son. In conclusion, come to this little corner if you are looking for an amazingly tasteful bowl of soto makasar.

It may seem like a simple plate of fried noodles(mee goreng) but it is a true testament to the greatness of the cook. It isn’t masked by heavy sauce or fancy plating. What you get is a humble plate of fried noodles with hint of wok hei and great balance of flavours!

Kenny Kitchen is a recommended dining spot located near the Labuan ferry terminal, just a 5-minute drive away. A group of 4 adults and 2 kids enjoyed a satisfying meal at this establishment, ordering dishes such as ma po tofu, lunam pork, honey chicken, vegetable stir-fry, and shark fish soup. The standout dishes were the lunam pork and honey chicken. While the Bali drink was average, the Chinese tea was delightful.
We staying the hotel recommended us for lunch in this Kenny Kitchen, location nearest terminal ferry Labuan new building, just 5 min can reach. We are 4 adults & 2 kids, ordered 4 dishes 1 soup & drinks. We ordered ma po taufu, lunam pork, honey chicken, vegetable & fish shark soup. The dishes all satisfied & yummy, specialist lunam pork & honey chicken. Bali drink so so only, no taste but Chinese tea was good. The price was reasonable rm128 only.

A Good Spot for Chinese Food, But Service Needs Improvement It was our second time dining at Kenny’s Kitchen, and overall, the food was quite good! We tried a few dishes, and here’s what we thought: • Pai Kut Wong (King Ribs) – This was a standout! The meat was well-cooked, and the sauce had just the right balance of flavor. Definitely a dish worth ordering. • Fish Maw Thick Soup – We loved this one. It was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor—perfect for sharing. • Japanese Beancurd – I found it okay, but my boyfriend thought it was a bit oily. It might depend on personal preference. However, the service was a letdown. The lady taking our order was very rude, which made the experience less enjoyable. While the food was good, the attitude of the staff definitely needs improvement. ✔️ Must-Try: Pai Kut Wong & Fish Maw Soup 🏠 Location: Kenny’s Kitchen 💰 Price: Reasonable Would consider coming back for the food, but hoping for better service next time.

Nestled just over a small hill along the roadside, Ganu Perantau Jaya Restaurant is a hidden gem in Labuan that specializes in authentic Terengganu cuisine. The place is situated just over a small hill by the road side. The the nasi kerabu here is as authentic as you can get in Labuan. Update (18 Feb 2024) The owner added an air conditioned room that accommodates more than 10 tables. Free Cuckoo water dispenser is also provided at this place.

Overall experience is below average. Arrogant staff especially the Lady (Named Mel). Shop only provide cash and TnGo (where in the world that Labuan people is primarily using TnGo? Not even QR Code. Good food but the owner is not from Terengganu even if the name is Ganu. (as informed by the waiter). You have to pay for the small portion of the sambal belacan. Except for the food, the service is unfriendly. I would opt for another shop if there is any similar food at the other place.

Welcome Lee Restaurant is a hidden gem on the small island of Labuan, known for its delightful seafood offerings. Diners rave about the enormous and fresh tiger prawns, which boast a satisfying crunch and rich prawn roe. The steamed snapper with ginger sauce is another highlight that tantalizes taste buds. While the roasted crispy chicken may be slightly dry, it’s complemented perfectly by a tangy salty-sour sauce that elevates the dish.
Although this small island is not so happening, but at least there is good fresh seafood. The tiger prawns are huge and so fresh, love the crunchy texture and the prawn roe, so good. Snapper steam with ginger sauce, really yummy. Roasted crispy chicken is nice, although abit dry, but the salty and sour sauce adds a nice twist to the dish. Red rice wine pork, very fragrant and tasty. Homemade tofu on hot plate is nice. Money vegetable an east Malaysia vegetable, really nice when cooked well.

Just giving 1 star. Because of the lady in the photo extremely rude. Why? 1. I asked for Wantanho, bear in mind I just said wantanho (she did not ask whether I want it meat or seafood). 2. Went out to One stop duty to buy some chocolate, and when I came back to the shop, I just say I want the Wantanho meat. 3. Guess what the lady in the photo say? She said to me: Just now didnt say want meat or seafood. Very rude. Is that the way to talk to customer? I know I didnt say I want the wantanho meat in the first place, but it is waitress’s duty to ask a customer meat or seafood. Thats means whenever people order anything noodles here, then everything put seafood? It doesnt make sense, the menu itself didnt mention the wantanho is referring to seafood wantanho. The food taste bland because of the service that I received. Please la improve the service. Thanks.

Hume — Google review
Having been to Labuan for the past 4 trips this year, I had locals recommending me various restaurants but somehow never really had the chance to visit Welcome Lee until this trip. Part of the reason was that the Welcome Lee's review was limited at Google. I decided to give a try one fine day, as a Grab driver had strongly recommended this restaurant. Upon securing the table, the lady owner will come over to help the order. After the first visit, I was so impressed with the food that I decided to patronise again the restaurant for another two times to try out other dishes. Some notable dishes recommended are special yam slice fish soup, four heavenly king vege with fried squid, tofu with pumpkin gravy, nyonya curry slice fish and few other more dishes and all these dishes were above average and didn't disappoint. Definitely a restaurant you do not want to miss if you are at Labuan. Will come back again in my next trip to Labuan.
LV S — Google review
The atmosphere was decent at best. However, the fact that the food portion size was increased without any notice by the owner seems really unreasonable. Such actions should have the consent of all 12 members of our table, not one boy of the group. it is absolute absurd when the price sky-rocketed above our expected budget. Due to the abyssal food portion size, the price is seemly unfitting for what you receive. This place is definitely not budget-friendly, not by the slightest. Due to this, the service is of course not great for that reason. The food was mediocre at best especially how small the portion is. For 12 person, the portion really did not look like 12 person. Try to avoid this place for it isn't worth the time and price.
Aaron H — Google review
Good: The food here are delicious and a special shout-out to the pumpkin sauce tauhu. Price was mostly RM15 for a small serving Bad: The condiments are strange as you don't get chopped chillis and even the owners are sometimes reluctant to serve you with chopped garlics too Ugly: The snack where they served before your dishes arrived is priced on the higher side. Had a plate of pickled peanuts (the kind served with porridge) and it was RM4 when you can buy an entire can of it from 99 Speedmart at half price for 2 servings
Eleazar J — Google review
The service is awful. We have 12 ppl, I ordered the LARGE portion on the menu and the lady kept on saying it wouldn’t be enough for the 12 ppl, usually for 10 ppl. I said it’s okay, just give me the LARGE portion based on the menu, without my knowledge, the lady increased the price and portion itself, she said she told another guy in my group but there fact was she didn’t mention that she had increased the price, so at the end we paid very much more than what we expected, and we went to argue with her she just said, you’d eaten the food, you couldn’t change anything. Will not come here again, bad service and small portion of food.😡😡
Eva C — Google review
The boss lady is literally scamming students' money. We ordered large portions, but she insisted it wouldn't be enough for us. We told her it's okay, we don't eat a lot. In the end, we paid for rm400+ when our budget was rm300+ (we calculated the price based on the menu). When we confronted her, we found out that She increased the price without our consent. Who is she to decide for us?? Definitely the worst experience I had in a restaurant. In terms of food, they were so-so.

Island Tomyam is a culinary gem that offers an unforgettable seafood tomyam experience. The soup features a delightful mix of tender squid and fresh prawns, creating a flavor profile that's reminiscent of the rich Malay version rather than the typical Thai style. Had a bowl of seafood tomyam, and it was a truly delightful experience. The soup boasted an exquisite combination of tender squid and succulent prawns that were impeccably fresh. The flavor of the tomyam was exceptionally satisfying, reminiscent of the rich and aromatic Malay version rather than the traditional Thai rendition. While the portion size of the medium serving was moderate, it proved to be perfectly satisfying when accompanied by a serving of steaming rice. The ambiance of the restaurant was refreshingly spacious, allowing for a comfortable and airy dining atmosphere. Moreover, the pricing of this delightful culinary affair was undeniably reasonable, adding further value to the overall experience.

Right across from the Labuan ferry terminal, this spot is a lifesaver for anyone arriving hungry. We went for the roti cobra with mutton curry, and it was a hearty, satisfying choice. The roti itself was fluffy yet sturdy enough to soak up every drop of the rich, aromatic curry. The mutton was tender, the spices balanced, and the whole plate came banjir with kuah — the kind where you can scoop it up with a spoon and still have plenty left for dipping. It’s the kind of comfort food that hits the spot after travel — simple, flavorful, and generously portioned. Their lunch is simple but tasty. If you have no mood for the normal lunch menu you can always order some fried noodles or kolo mee or Curry Mee or Nasi Lemak or Soto or Bubur. The choice is yours. After your meal you must have their specialty desert 'Halo-halo' which is somewhat like 'ABC' but done the Filipino way which has Ubi, boiled banana and if you are lucky a slice of egg caramel which is tops. So, the smell of the roasted chicken is there.. for rice use chicken rice, suitable for chicken rice fans.. for this set.. the soup is empty, but replace it with a creamy sauce-style cicah sauce.. the sauce is quite filling too. The chicken rice set is also surrounded by pickled cucumber vegetables.. so I think it's like a complete 1 food set which has a little fat, carbohydrates, protein and vitamins. the best part is pepper.. it seems simple.. but when you eat it with Chicken Golek.. you get all the flavors.. there is sweet, spicy, sour, Thai aroma and others that make all the flavors complete to each others. lol.. Keep it up.. Just maintain everyone. Will repeat again next time. (Original) Alhamdulillah.. try menu baru.. My kids had the fried mee and it was just okay. In my opinion, the laksa wasn’t worth the price.

(Translated by Google) Food taste is average. Meehoon is a bit hard and needs to be blanched again. Location in the hotel lobby and other visitor routes. There is an opportunity to improve service, utensils and so on. (Original) Rasa makanan biasa. Meehoon agak keras dan perlu dicelur lagi. Lokasi di lobi hotel dan laluan pengunjung lain. Ada peluang untuk pertingkatkan perkhidmatan, utensils dan sebagainya.
