We stopped here for lunch on our maiden day in Hvar on the recommendation of our hotel concierge at Casa Benita. We had a spectacular culinary experience. Before our appetizer was presented, we were offered a refreshing aperitif of carob-infused chilled brandy. This was so refreshing given the day's temp of 34° C. Next, the chef offered gratis a fried polenta bar that was packed with flavor from multiple herbs and seasonings. For the appetizer we consumed the steak tartar with truffle slices and toasted baguette slices. This far exceeded the steak tartar we had on Split a few days earlier. For the shared main courses, we ordered the black gnocchi with shrimp in truffle sauce, octopus salad and curry risotto with shrimp. All were very delicious and the risotto was prepared to well done as requested. At the end of our meal we were again offered gratis a pine needle infused brandy to wash down our meal. We had three different servers who were most attentive to our dining needs. As for the check, the total amount was discounted 10% because we chose to pay by cash versus card. We highly recommend Dalmatino for anyone visiting Hvar and will certainly return when we come back to Croatia in a few years!

This place not only has great food and service, but they also go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. My octopus salad portion was generous and tasty, and my husband’s curry shrimp risotto was mild with a rich seafood flavor. During our lunch, they offered us one complimentary small bite and three free drinks—which were really good—plus a 10% discount for paying in cash. Such a great experience!

This has to be one of our best meals in Croatia. The service is so great, they make you feel so welcome and the food was absolutely outstanding. Definitely coming here again while we’re in Hvar! We had the Istria Truffle Gnocchi and Octopus Carpaccio with the chocolate cake for dessert. Dalmatian food is 🤩🤩 and it was perfectly executed at Dalmatino. Highly highly recommend! Don’t skip this if you’re in Hvar!

They definitely have the best black risotto in Old Town Dubrovnik! We ordered so much and nothing disappoints! We had an octopus salad, fish of the day and pasta 💯 The staffs are accommodating as we didn’t have a booking but managed to squeeze us in. So make sure you book ahead of time especially for dinners!

I had an extraordinary dining experience at what might be the finest restaurant I’ve ever visited—a bold claim, but well-earned. The waitstaff operated like a perfectly synchronized team, anticipating every need with precision and warmth. Their knowledge was impressive, and their recommendation of a wine—now my absolute favorite— was spot-on. The truffle gnocchi stood out as exceptional, though every dish was a masterpiece. We capped the evening with espresso-martinis, and cigars, making for an unforgettable finale. This place is a true gem.

My partner and I visited this restaurant last night. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest meals I have ever had eating out. We had the Chateau Briand for the main, and granny's cake for dessert. We were lucky enough to get a table as during peak season this restaurant can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance. The food was excellent. The service was very attentive. Tony and the rest of the team went above and beyond. If you are going to eat anywhere in Hvar town, I would recommend eating in this restaurant. It was an excellent all round experience.

10/10 experience here, the service was the best we had in our 2 week trip in Europe, he continuously refilled our glasses with the bottle we ordered and gave us recommendations and was overall such a delight. We got the beef tartare and haven’t stopped talking about it since, we also enjoyed the tuna (GET IT RARE !!) and the beef pasta and both were SO good. I’d love to relive this meal. Make a reservation!

The food was the best meal we had our entire trip in Croatia! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and sitting outside in the street was something out of a dream! The lavender tiramisu was a highlight!

This came highly recommended online as somewhere that was a “must visit” in Hvar. We had the sea bass which was incredible. I’ve never had such a tasty prawn before (lol!). The veal was a little tough and fatty which my partner was disappointed in and would order something else next time. We had a lovely time and had excellent service despite this.

Great experience. Went there three times for a vegan dinner. Food was excellent, staff super nice and attentive and the atmosphere is just great. For me as vegan Black Pepper was one of the best choices. Thank you very much guys 🥳🙌🏼

Everything about this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food was exquisite, delicious and creative. The atmosphere and the views were incredible but most importantly the manager Iuri/Iura created the most amazing atmosphere. Everything was very good here. Upscale restaurant, with the chef apparently being a MasterChef winner. Cocktails were very tasty. We started with a tomato + burrata cream appetizer ("Summer Affair") which was excellent and arguably better than the mains - should have simply ordered (x4) of these and called it a great night out! 😂 For mains, we ordered the Octopus and Gregada. Both were very good. I'd say the Gregada could have had a bit more food on the plate, but otherwise very tasty. The Octopus was delicious as well and I would highly recommend it. Finished with a fabulous Lavender Tiramisu for dessert! Overall, great experience. Staff were very good. As mentioned, it's an upscale restaurant so prices are even more elevated than the rest of Hvar Town but worth it for the experience.

The perfect, exquisite and romantic dinner place in Hvar. The food was to die for - so flavorful and so creative. The service was superb - our waiter was informative about each dish. Fully recommend visiting!

Beautiful restaurant in an amazing location with excellent food for not too high of a price. We had the Croshi which was nice but lacked some extra food in my opinion. The tuna was amazing tho. The lamb stew with gnocchi was amazing but I counted 7 gnocchi in total, and if there were more the whole experience would be a 5/5. The sea bass was really nice but nothing special. The service was excellent and the waiters deserve only compliments. The wine selection was wide and drinks prices were fair.

Giaxa restaurant in Hvar offers a charming outdoor setting tucked into the Old Town’s stone alleys. The ambiance is lovely, and our waiter was genuinely kind and welcoming—great start to the evening. We began with the Croshi, which was just okay. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it. The smoked scallops, however, were excellent—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. That dish stood out. For mains, we had the ribeye steak and beef Wellington. Both were decent, but nothing memorable. Given the restaurant’s reputation and pricing, we expected more refinement and depth in flavor. Overall, while the service and setting were strong, the food didn’t quite match the hype. It’s a personal opinion, but we found Giaxa a bit overrated. Still, credit to the team for their hospitality and effort.

The tuna tartar was truly delicious and met our expectations. Unfortunately, the main courses did not reflect the same standard. The dishes arrived cold; while the calamari was acceptable, the risotto was a real disappointment. It was poorly cooked, the texture was off, and it came clumped together. From a restaurant positioning itself at a higher level, we expected more refined execution. Given our limited time in the area, we regretted not choosing a different restaurant in the end.

Amazing food and service. Recommend the John Dory fish grilled. We also got sea bass and it was great.

Their dedication to excellent service added a significant positive note to our visit. The restaurant's setting is lovely, providing a quiet and intimate atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing meal. The ambiance, combined with the high-quality food and outstanding service, makes Giaxa a standout choice for dining in Hvar. Overall, Restaurant Giaxa offers a delightful culinary experience with a few minor areas for improvement. I had a great time here! The food was delicious: got some free appetizers which was a nice touch! The bread was simply out of this world and the lamstew was nice! Gnocci could have been a touch less doughy in my opinion but the gravy and the supersoft lamb definitely made up for it! The waiter was very friendly, which definitely elevated the experience! I loved the location as well, nice and cool!

A great choice for a laid-back, family-style meal with generous portions. The alley dining setup makes it a unique and fun experience, though it can get distracting around 7–8 PM when lots of people are passing by looking for last-minute tables. We ordered the fish first choice and, at our server’s suggestion, combined the mussels and clams with the lobster spaghetti since they share the same sauce—it worked out perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, which added to the experience. Overall, a casual spot with hearty portions and a lively atmosphere.

The location outside in the stones is nice with lots of people walking by. Service is very fast. The food is really good. We had lobster spaghetti and seafood risotto. The sauce of each dish was the same- light, flavorful, delicious. They only accept cash. The service was nice. A great choice.

Macondo is a little gem we were lucky to come across, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We managed to get a table without a reservation, which felt like a win given how popular it is. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff offered excellent recommendations that made the meal feel like a true local experience. The family-style plates were perfect for sharing, giving us a chance to try a variety of dishes that were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It felt less like dining out and more like being invited to someone’s home for an authentic meal. If you find yourself in the area, Macondo is absolutely worth a visit. Great food, great vibe, and an experience that stays with you.

Setting is lovely, but food quality was poor, and not a good value for the money. The mussel dish and the mussels and clams dish, as well as the seafood risotto, featured shellfish that tasted like it had been cooked well before we ordered it. While edible, the mussels were rubbery. There are much better places in Hvar for the same price or less.

I’m really dissatisfied that waiters were very neutral with us ( not in a good way) probably of looking Queer. We saw that they were more friendly with other guests and they were not even interested to have a chat with US in comparison with the other people seated. Food was okay bud overpriced and THEN customer service just didn’t feet my expectations

Visited Fig for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! It’s tucked away in a quiet, cobblestone alley, and they don’t take reservations. Luckily we found an open table. The service was amazing and everyone was so lovely. We had the avocado toast with eggs and bacon, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Definitely add this place to your list when you’re in Hvar

Love this place. Reviews are right, excellent food worth the wait. Made enjoyable by a glass of wine and chat with others to pass it by. Wine local and we'll chosen, food excellent. We had fig and cheese bread and chilli chicken burrito. Latter won out, very taste and we'll marinated. Staff friendly and fun. 5 * plus for us.

Visited for lunch based on reviews. Lucky to get a table in the rain. Staff delightful, very patient as had to turn lots of people away cos of the rain. Had delicious Poke bowl and pulled pork. A true hidden gem tucked away in the alleys of Hvar! After wandering around for a while looking for a place to eat, we stumbled upon this small restaurant — and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of my trip. The flavors were outstanding, the service was warm and attentive, and both my friend and I had our expectations exceeded. Finally, a place in Croatia where portion size, quality, and price are perfectly balanced. Highly recommended!

We had a nice experience at Fig - cut off from the main areas, giving you a quiet atmosphere in a narrow road and avoiding the hustle and bustle that the summer evenings in Hvar brings along. The food was very nice - maybe a tad pricy for the portion size, but very tasty. We took a BBQ burger and a Vegetarian burger. We also tried one of their freshly squeezed juices which was really nice; orange lemon and ginger. Staff were very sweet, polite and helpful. Recommended!

Located in a gorgeous little alley right past the port, the food is simply delicious. Seating is limited, but in the off season there is usually still no wait. A perfect stop if you need a break for a night to try something different than the local Mediterranean & Italian cuisines. If you are an American and hesitant to try something new, this is a great spot for familiar eats with a lovely Croatian twist. Everything was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. I had the chicken burrito and she had the Korma. For an appetizer we split sweet potato fries.

Last dinner in Hvar. We saw this place on Somebody feed Phil. Had fresh Octopus Salad, for main we split Chef’s Special (green bell pepper stuffed with seasoned ground beef) and Croatian pasta side and small shrimp gnocchi. We had 0.5L local white wine with dinner. It was amazing. The service was amazing. Loved the whole meal.❤️❤️

This restaurant is so authentic that they don't even sell Coca-Cola here! We absolutely loved our visit at Konoba Menego. Each dish was lovely. If we had to choose a favourite, it would be the fisherman's plate, which was filled with the freshest seafood we have ever tasted!

Excellent Croatian dishes, great service, cozy setting - definitely worth the wait (and you can have a glass of of wine while you wait in the stairs outside). We had the boar, a dude salad and the vegetarian stuffed pepper dish. All delicious! I only wish we’d had room to try the dessert assortment of cakes.

We had an amazing dinner here and can’t recommend it enough if you’re in Hvar and want to try some Dlamatian food. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I’ve never had such pillowy gnocchi and the octopus salad was great. A great date spot. It is cash only, so be sure to have some euros on you.

What got us in was the sign at the door with "no pizza, no Rice, no spaghetti, no coca-cola". The owner came ro the table and confided that he felt the country was loosing it's gastronomic personality and we agreed. This place however was an absolute gem! Awesome food and very friendly staff. Price for 2 people with 2 entrees, 2 mains, 1 desert and 1 water: 89€

Ate here on the last night they were open before closing for the season so they had a more limited menu available, but the food and wine were all good and worth the walk up the steps. It’s a small family run restaurant and all staff were really lovely to talk to. Note that it’s cash only, so make sure you go to the ATM before you walk up there 🙂

This is an excellent family owned restaurant with exceptional food. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and excellent service. My wife and I each ordered the octopus salad, and we shared the Fisherman's Plate for 2. Everything was beautifully presented, and the food was excellent.

Food is very nice. Black risotto is 10/10. Good service. I recommend reserving the table in advance. Overall is great but a bit pricey. €221 for 2 of us. 4 dishes and 2 bottles of sparkling water.

Finally, proper fine dining in Croatia! Many locals somehow got the wrong idea that simply increasing prices makes a restaurant “fine dining.” They put extra effort into this illusion by charging more and more every year, while offering astonished tourists the same cheap grilled food and very slow, poor service. Unfortunately, you rarely have a choice – 90% of restaurants work exactly like this. But back to the experience. The lady at the reception was wonderful. We arrived a bit early and she entertained us with small talk until our booked table was ready. The service team was very attentive: always refilling water and wine, bringing complimentary homemade bread, and showing us the fish of the day. The tables are spacious, which makes you feel incredibly comfortable. Every detail – from the tablecloths to the lights and chairs – is well thought out (only the logoed wine glasses felt a bit cheap, in my opinion). The food was delicious and the portions were fair. The only minor issue was with the fish serving: the waitress didn’t do a great job deboning it in front of us and left quite a few bones. Still, her sex appeal made us forgive her 😺. Overall, the experience was a solid 5/5. It was a relief to see that Croatians can deliver proper hospitality if they put just a little effort into it! My sincere compliments to the owner – a very pleasant man, sipping his bottle of red wine at the bar while making sure everything on the floor was running smoothly. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We had an unforgettable evening at Gariful. The seafood tower was outstanding – fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. From the white fish to the scampi and squid, every bite was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The highlight of the night was pairing it all with a bottle of Billy champagne, which was nothing short of sensational and complemented the seafood perfectly. What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. Our server, MICO, went above and beyond – warm, attentive, and professional. He made the evening seamless and so enjoyable. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service were all world-class. Gariful is a must-visit in Hvar if you’re looking for an elegant, fresh, and vibrant dining experience.

Amazing dining experience! The lamb and ribeye was delicious and the waterfront setting made it even more special. Our server Ivicia was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Definitely worth a visit when in Hvar!

I typically will not write a review without properly experiencing a restaurant but the experience was so bad that we had to walkout before ordering. We had reservations and upon seating the table next to us was chain smoking. I have asthma and had to immediately leave. We requested another table and despite the restaurant having so many open tables not near the smokers, the hostess refused to move us. She said she would add our name to a waitlist and call but never did. I’m glad we left as it is a notorious tourist trap.

Gariful in Hvar is a must-visit – stunning sea views, ultra-fresh seafood, great wine, and flawless service. Pricey, but worth every bite.

We had two nights on Hvar. We found this place by chance and had an awesome sushi night! The service and food was amazing! The next night we wanted to try another roof top restaurant. We sat down and no one came to our table for 15 minutes. We got up and went back to Passarola and had an amazing steak night. Tony and Bruno are the best waiters anywhere. I couldn’t recommend this place more! Enjoy! 🤙😎

A lovely restaurant in Hvar old town offering outstanding ambiance, food and service. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and airy. Very high quality. We both had the pasticada , a local braised sweet and sour beef and gnocchi dish that had been recommended . We coupled this with a bottle of the local Bartul Plavac Barrique, which was very nice. Highly recommended. *** Edit *** I just read some other reviews mentioning poor service. We saw no evidence of this during our visit. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, and it looked to be a similar experience at the other tables.

This was the most amazing dining experience we had during our 5 day visit to Hvar. This restaurant is absolutely beautifull! Al fresco dining at its best. After we were seated we were greeted within a minute by our server Bruno. I cannot say enough about the level of service he provided. He made excellent recommendations for all courses and Bruno is also a certified sommelier! He knew everything about the local wines and took the time to tell us about what made each one special. It made the evening so special. The atmosphere is lovely - great music, soft lighting, expertly prepared food, with 5 star service, and very reasonably priced. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant.

Passarola was a highlight of our time in Hvar! The food was absolutely outstanding—we enjoyed everything from their fresh and delicious sushi to a decadent truffle dish, a perfectly cooked burger, and incredible steaks. Every plate was prepared with care and full of flavor. What made the evening even more memorable was the exceptional service. Their sommelier, Sabina, was phenomenal—she took the time to understand our tastes and personalized the wine selection for our meal beautifully. She also went above and beyond by recommending other incredible wineries in the area for us to try during our trip. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the top-notch hospitality, Passarola is a must-visit in Hvar!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We went there 2 nights in a row and the food was absolutely incredible! Tuna steak, seafood risotto, seafood carpaccio, and mussels are to die for! The people who work there are super friendly and kind! Our server Anton was very attentive and kind! Highly recommend if you are in Hvar!

We shamelessly went back three nights in a row. After trying other restaurants on the island, we kept coming back to Lungo Mare to try out the rest of their menu. It’s run by a mom, pop, and their son. The atmosphere is warm, the wine is plentiful, and the food is oh so tasty. Hvala!

Lovely, relaxing atmosphere on the balcony. The waiter was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. I had the grilled sea bass with Swiss chard—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The monkfish carpaccio was a refreshing and delicious starter. My friend really enjoyed his calamari too!

This place really took us by surprise. We were tired after a whole day of traveling, and it was quite late, but this place did not disappoint. We went there and were seated straight away on the outside terrace in the garden. Our waiter was so nice and always responsive and attentive, even though our lamps were malfunctioning, the brought a new one everytime it went bad. The food was good, I enjoyed the chicken a lot, like it was properly cooked but still juicy and a huge portion, I had to ask my partner to finish. There’s a variety of dishes on there. And at the end the waiter offered a cherry liquor and limoncello, which were both amazing but the cherry liquor was out of this world. I recommend this place for sure in Hvar, it’s not in the city center but not too far and it feels authentic.

The food here—especially the squid and fish—was actually quite tasty, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, one older white male waiter provided such a negative experience that it completely ruined our visit. From the start, he was cold and unfriendly. When it came time to pay, he took my bank card without asking and repeatedly inserted it into the machine himself. This kind of behavior—handling a customer’s card without permission—is incredibly rude and unprofessional. It was also raining heavily that day, and the roof above us was leaking. When we asked him if we could change seats, he simply shrugged and said there was nothing he could do. Moments later, a different waiter came by and kindly helped us move to a drier table without hesitation. It was clear who cared about customer service and who didn’t. Later, when we discovered that they had packed the wrong takeaway item (some pasta instead of the fish we ordered), this same waiter opened the takeaway bag in front of us without saying a word and started replacing the food—again, without explanation or apology. The entire interaction felt dismissive and impolite. To be honest, if you’re Asian, I don’t think you’ll receive respectful treatment from this particular waiter. He consistently ignored our concerns and made no effort to help when issues arose. We left feeling deeply uncomfortable and won’t be returning.

We had an incredible experience here, guided by our waiter’s excellent recommendations that led us to order just the right amount of fresh, delicious food. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively to all kind of groups (family, couples etc) and what made it truly special was the personal touch from the owner, Lungo. He was hands on throughout the night, grilling, working alongside the staff, and still finding time to come over and chat with us about the restaurant and his family, who are also involved in running the place. Very authentic, fairly priced and did not feel like a tourist trap. It was a few streets off from the water and appeared to have lots of locals dining there too. Lungo’s hospitality was unforgettable, he even joined us for a complimentary shot (which he poured and drank with us! 😂), followed by another round of limoncello on the house. The warmth, generosity, and genuine care made it one of the best nights we’ve had on this trip. I genuinely can’t recommend this place enough for its service, food and atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Amy and Michael at Beach Club Hvar and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely stunning right by the sea, with crystalclear water, swaying palms, and that signature Hvar charm that makes everything feel like a dream. The natural light, the setting sun, and the coastal vibe made for the most magical backdrop throughout the entire day. From a photographer’s perspective, Beach Club Hvar is a perfect venue. Highly recommended for couples dreaming of a stylish and romantic seaside wedding in Croatia.

The place is very elegant and beautiful and the service is excellent. Renting a chair is 60 euros for a whole day, which is expensive compared to others (usually 35 euros). Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy (check the weather). We only spent 3 hours, and of course I will repeat the experience.

Terrible value for money. Service was non-existent, you have to run around looking for them and then if you don’t know who “your server” is (they didn’t tell us) they don’t take an order from you. The stairs into the sea were covered in literally the slippiest moss/grime ever so we were actually unable to get in the sea with our little one. Also there’s quite literally millions of sea urchins so remember your shoes. The air con rooms were actually really nice, clean and handy with a baby. Terrible service, awful value for money.

Very disappointed with the service and the most importantly with the price. 500 Euros for the daily bed with a bottle of champagne…nothing else being offered, Was told that every bed is booked however there is plenty of them available. There is a direct correlation with the less tourists and inflatable prices. Very disappointing for sure!

Best experience we had in Hvar. It’s a bit pricey, but often possible to get 50% off during the week if you book the day before. The service is perfect, and the location is stunning for swimming and enjoying the sun in luxury. The food is quite expensive, but the portions are large and the quality is good. This is truly the way to enjoy Hvar!

Reasonable prices for luxury. The view is beautiful, the cabana is nice and air conditioned with free juice, water, and soft drinks. The sun beds were comfy. The food was delicious. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The water amazing!!! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Booked a sun-bed for half a day. They had a wedding in the evening, hence the beds were only available til 3. This wasn’t a problem as they’d pro rated the rental cost according. Upon arrival I was told that the kitchen was open until 2, and nothing was mentioned of a bar close time. At some point this changed but was not communicated by the waitress to anybody. I only found out when I tried to order fries at 1:15 and she said the kitchen had closed. I also ordered a drink which she put through for me but said it was last call and I had to pay up - over an hour and a half before they closed! I noticed a lot of unhappy customers who were trying to order after me when they were told they couldn’t. To make it worse, at 2:15pm i saw that the waiter for the other side of the deck was still bringing food and beverages out for his customers. Aside from that, the service was overall lacking for a place that markets itself as being upscale - no water provided unless asked, had to move the parasols ourselves, had to actively find the waitress when wanting to order. And the quality of the food was poor in relation to the price. $26.50 for a quesadilla that had barely any meat in it, came with the tiniest portion of guac and no salsa or sour cream? Even the table next to me had to *ask* for ketchup and mayo for their burgers. I know this sounds like I’m nitpicking but for the prices they charge and that they market themselves as exclusive/upmarket it’s these little things that you would expect. If the loungers and food etc were all half the price i’d have NO complaints at all. Anyway, the view is gorgeous and its a great spot to get in/out the water without having to deal with the pebbles but there are other clubs/resorts that offer way better service/experience for the same or less cost. Can’t say that I’d recommend The Beach Club. Although perhaps the experience is better when they don’t have a wedding to set up.

A very interesting spot in the old town. You can feel that the dishes are inspired by local flavors but elevated with creative twists. There’s a play of textures and more complex flavors that make the food exciting. A great restaurant for those who want to try something surprising. On top of that, the presentation is beautiful – you can eat with your eyes first. The veal simply melted in the mouth. Out of everything we ordered, only the tuna steak didn’t really appeal to us – it felt like the weakest option. The rest was excellent. The highlight was definitely the Kotlenka – absolutely outstanding. Also worth mentioning were the braised octopus and the risotto, both full of flavor. The place itself is pleasant, with friendly service. Overall – if you’re looking for local flavors with an unexpected twist, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

This little restaurant is such a hidden gem! ✨ Tucked away on a narrow street of the island, it feels incredibly cozy and authentic. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening. Their homemade focaccia is absolutely delicious — warm, soft, and full of flavor. Our experience with the restaurant was somewhat disappointing, although all together not bad. We got tuna tartar, seabass and black risotto. Tuna tartar was great, every flavour was well-thought and they complimented one another fantastically. Black risotto was very interesting and flavourful. However, as it sometimes happens with risotto, after a few bites it was a little overwhelming and too heavy because of the buttery flavour. We splitted the portion in half so it wasn't an issue, it would make a really good starter in a smaller portion tho. The most disappointing dish was the seabass. Green beans served with it were way too salty, as was half of the burreu sauce. As for the seabass it was okay, however the burnt skin made it hard to enjoy due to difficulty in seperating the meat from the skin which had a charcoal aroma to it. Additionally, the tempura topping was unnecessary and weirdly excluded from the whole dish, it didn't pair well with anything (although it was tasty on its own). The mussels base in the sauce was hardly noticeable (maybe because of the saltiness). The staff went out of their way to divide our starter in two (because we were sharing one portion) which I think was very thoughtful. However, our overall experience was mid. We didn't feel much cared for after the first dish was served. I think it would be nice to be served water (as the glasses were already prepared on the table for no reason) and coasters/napkins for the drinks.

We met the owner of the restaurant while we were having breakfast down the street. We weren’t able to eat at the restaurant but the owner shared some of the grapes that had just been harvested for his winemaker and these were THE BEST grapes I’ve ever had. Which I can only imagine what the wine is like! Check this place out if you have time :)

Antika- A Hidden Gem in Stari Grad Last night i went in restaurant Antika in Stari Grad with a group of friends and we ordered several starters to share – tuna tartare, beef tartare, marinated anchovies, and burrata with all the right pairings – everything was excellent, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. But two dishes truly stood out: the “Kotlenka” with monkfish, a masterpiece of rich and perfectly balanced flavors, and the lamb, which my friend ordered – tender, juicy, aromatic, and simply unforgettable. Words cannot do it justice. The ambiance is charming, the staff warm and professional, and the whole experience on par with the best restaurants. Antika is a place we will definitely return to. 👌

Absolutely loved my dinner here ! They were so generous and gave us Prosecco as soon as we sat down. The house white wine was fantastic. The cured ham with melon was delicious and the seafood risotto was so flavourful and filled with fish. Such an amazing meal and the best ambiance. If you’re ever in Hvar you need to check this place out. Not to mention the food was actually reasonably priced as compared to all the over priced restaurants here. 10/10

There are not enough stars that I could give to this amazing, charming restaurant. We went there for breakfast every morning of our time there. It was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. €15pp for made to order eggs, bread, cakes, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc. They also had GF options. Not only was it an amazing deal but the service was also amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Such an amazing restaurant! So cozy atmosphere and we had a so warm welcoming experience from our waitress Rosa. We got a glass of prosecco as a welcome drink on the house, and also some bruschetta during our waiting for the food. The food was also something extra, tasted so good and we really felt that it was cooked with love. Would really recommend!

Riquísima la comida We visited Lucillus on two consecutive nights during our 3-day stay in Hvar that’s how much we loved it. When people are naturally warm and welcoming, you just know the food is going to be amazing, and that was definitely the case here. Rosa was an incredible host, her smile radiates pure, honestly, if I ever return to Hvar, it will be to dine at this restaurant again… and this time, I’d stay at the hotel too (I didn’t even realise it was part of one). The food? Absolutely top tier. I tend to stick with what I love once I find it, and their octopus salad had me hooked, fresh, filling, and unbelievably delicious. I couldn’t get enough. My boyfriend tried a few different dishes fresh fish one night and a variety of meats the next, and everything was full of flavour and beautifully presented. If you’re in Hvar, don’t miss this gem. Wow! The most amazing meal in Croatia I experienced. I was so impressed with the delicious menu and amazing customer service. So very unique and beautiful. All of our food was cooked via outdoor kitchen- which appeared to use a a wood fired grill and oven. We were served platters of prawns, whole white fish, tuna, risotto, octopus, squid, and more deliciousness. The owner informed our group that each private, outdoor, dining room and all of the furniture was built on site from materials sourced on site too.

Lovely Restaurant bar to sit and watch the world go by whilst waiting for your boat. We had a fantastic late breakfast. The service from Marin was absolutely wonderful…he repeatedly encouraged us to take as long as we needed with no pressure to keep ordering. We stayed from 10.30am until 1pm very relaxed x

Worst matcha I’ve ever had – they didn’t even have oat milk. The eggs were fine, but the focaccia tasted like it came straight out of the fridge: cold and hard. Staff was nice but really disappointing experience overall.

The servers are very patient…… allowing dozens of passengers awaiting the ferries to just stop in with all their bags and only buy 1 coffee and sit there for 2 hours….. We did not do this but witnessed many others doing so and the workers were kind about it. Great place for breakfast or to rest and have a drink or snack before the ferry. Only complaint: My French 75 was overpriced and tasted bad..

Coming back from the ocean ! We stop at the restaurant hotel for lunch .. and was the best idea that we could ever had.. we order the Ribs with fries.. I can explain how that sauce in the ribs was working on us ! We were on heaven enjoying every bone . Best place to eat after a long day .. big portions tasty .. fast and quality ! We stopped here for evening snack during our evening city walk. The terrace is a show-stopper: lights, old stone venue, live music, possibility to sit on the stone wall and enjoy your drink. Perfect for a chill summer evening. We ordered tortilla wraps and local wine which was both spot-on. We were very happy to have found the spot here to chill for a while!

We shared their Spare Ribs with Jack Daniels sauce for lunch. (20€). Really tasty. Nice shaded outdoor area overlooking the marina. Cash only, no cards.

The food, atmosphere, and location were all amazing, only the best words for that. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a male server who was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, later on (23.08 around 9 PM), a waitress with long black hair started coming to our table, and the experience changed. She took away some of our plates even though there was still food on them. When we told her we weren’t finished, she replied, 'Well then just take the food and hold it.' We literally had to grab the remaining chicken wings and eat them immediately because she had already taken the plate. When we wanted to order another round of beers, we waited for a different waiter to take our order, as her behavior felt quite rude and unprofessional. That being said, we still definitely recommend the place, just be mindful of the service depending on which server you get.

The food was amazing! I had the spare ribs and they came with coleslaw. The ribs were cooked perfect and the coleslaw was so good! The wife had the poke bowl and she was very satisfied as well! Very good food and the drinks were also on point!

Decided to come here for our last dinner in Hvar, but we were very badly let down. At first when we approached the restaurant we were looked up and down by numerous members of staff which felt very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Once we were sat, we thought the food sounded nice from the look of the menu so we were optimistic. As we were placing our order, I (very fussy eater due to a dairy intolerance) tend to order food plain and have had no issue with this anywhere else around the world and so far on our trip in croatia at numerous restaurants. I requested the chicken burger to be plain, to then be told in a smug attitude “this is not fast food, this is street food”. At first we thought he was joking, but soon realised by his harsh tone and blank expression he was not. We were then told “we only remove bacon for religious reasons you should just have it with everything on it and eat it the way it comes as it would be dry and its €18”… (price was never an issue and would of happily paid the full price) We were left shocked and have never experienced customer service to this level. We promptly paid for our overpriced drinks and left. It is 2025, and I am extremely disappointed that this level of service exists, people should not be made to feel different and embarrassed for such a simple request. I was made to feel degraded by this server. I urge people to AVOID this place at all costs if you value good customer service and basic human manners

Food was fine, the burger was good. But the server was really rude to us… we ordered a burger for here and a dish for to-go, and he mistook the whole order for all to-go, which is an honest mistake. But he gave our table away and 2 seconds after he gave it away he didn’t make any effort to give it back or fix his mistake because they were “already packing it for to-go” which is not that hard of a mistake to fix, and then after he told us it was already being packed we had to wait another 15 minutes for our food :( he was also very dismissive, all of our other experiences with service on this island were very good except this one. Another small thing, we asked for the burger to be cut in half and he outright cut me off to say no (because it’s a smash burger… ok). Anyways he just wasn’t a friendly guy and he was the only worker that night.

INCREDIBLE. If you dine at one restaurant in Hvar, EAT HERE! The staff and the entire environment were both so welcoming. The food was delicious, traditional cuisine and absolutely perfect for a group visiting the city. I can't wait to go back again some day!

The most perfect restaurant. Pizza was amazing. We went another night, the ćevapi sausage was so good and the apple cider was to die for. Service was also amazing!

Superb restaurant, food was so nice and the service was perfect. Filled with locals which is always a good sign. We had the chicken and mushroom with rice and pork and vegetables with rice, both were delicious. Only comment would be, serve more desserts as we left and had an ice cream elsewhere.

Really delicious food and beautiful local wines (Ivan Dolac) - truffle pasta, seafood pasta and margarita pizza. Semifredo dessert was a highlight.

Run don’t walk!! Incredible food. The truffle pasta and Bolognese were life changing. We didn’t get pizza, but they looked outstanding. The owner came over to check on us and elevated our experience even further. His whole family works hard to make this magic happen. Make sure you try his homemade bourbon amaretto. It was the icing on the cake! Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

Lovely location, nice menu. Steak was good but left to rest too long as arrived nearly cold. Vegetables were too hard, cauliflower especially! Crispy john dory was disappointing as it felt like it had just been taken from the freezer, not fresh fish. Cold mint, cucumber soup was gorgeous- so refreshing! Tempura prawns were epic!! Cocktails were lovely too.

We had a wonderful dinner and an after dinner drink (complimentary!) at the Restaurant Park. My family and I literally stumbled upon it on our way down from our Airbnb to the main plaza. Everyone loved their dishes and drinks - from the flavored olive oils to the fish, meat and pasta. The rolled chicken is amazing. Miki took great care of us and we will be back!!

Had dinner. Made pre reservation. Got seated on time. Good views of the main Hvar town square from the terrace overlooking the bay in the distance. Ordered veg rissotto tofu pasta. Tasty. Tofu was delicious with such flavors. Very tasty olive oil with truffle and spicy flavors. Had glass of red wine. Good service. Recommended.

So we had a dinner for two. The restaurant is located in the center of the Hvar town with a view to the main square and the harbour. Although the woman that was standing at the entrance to get you in was not so friendly, the rest of the evening at the Park restaurant was fabulous:)) Service excellent; food, meat and ingredients fresh and qualitative, and the atmosphere just perfect. I had a beafsteak which was soft as a butter and my guy had lamb chops. For dessert we ordered snickers cake and glutenfree choco cake. If you like a bit stronger wine I would def. suggest to go with Tomic Plavac barrique. Buon apetit!:)

Miro was absolutely amazing, this was our second dinner here and I can’t recommend it enough!!!! The food was amazing, the views just beautiful, and the red wine YUM. But more than anything, for an island filled with tourists this was absolutely the best experience and service we had. Miro we’re coming back just because of you, the friendliest service ever!!!!!!

Had a great experience at Restaurant Park. The atmosphere is quite lovely and cozy. You can hear the live music from their bar downstairs which adds a lot to their vibe. The food was delicious and fresh. We tried the fish platter for two which was delicious and filling. I particularly liked the sea bass and the grilled calamari on this plate. We also tried their truffle beefsteak which was quite good- tasty, good meat, nicely cooked. The highlight of the visit though must have been our waiter, Ognjen. He did a truly outstanding job. He was friendly, kind, and great with his recommendations. He worked close with his colleagues from the bar to find us a wine to our tasting. Truly outstanding service. The hostess at the front also met us with a friendly attitude.

I will rave about this dining experience for the remainder of my trip. Excellent food, but by far the best overall experience from start to finish because the service is above and beyond. As mentioned in other reviews, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and fresh bread and a tomato. Would HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation, but we were lucky enough that they happened to have a spot open that we were able to sit at. Our waiter (didn’t catch his name but had studied in Martha’s Vineyard for a time and knew his wine very well) was kind, charming, and had excellent recommendations and service throughout the meal. I would recommend this place to everyone, for any meal. Incredible food, service, and views.

We had a wonderful dinner and drinks here. Firstly, the service was amazing and the staff treated you as if you were fine dining. We were served by Marti who was exceptional. The food was delicious, a great range of options from local produce. The drinks list is great and a gorgeous view of the marina. Everything was extremely well priced for the quality you got. We loved it here, we would return if we were not leaving hvar tomorrow.

Our final dinner at Val Marina was the highlight of our trip and made it truly unforgettable. The ocean view from the restaurant was breathtaking, the food was both beautifully presented and delicious, and the service was attentive and warm. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

My wife and I cam here on our honeymoon and loved it. The food was delicious, our server, Vlad, should have been the best man at our wedding. He was the friendliest person and was very quick to serve & give recommendations. The restaurant is situated looking over the harbor and the staff greets you with a “welcome” prosecco. 10/10 no notes.

We stumbled across this restaurant and the ambiance and decor is beautiful. The restaurant is right off the water so you get the best view! We started our meal with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, and house made bread, tomatoes, olive oil and balsamic. I ordered the scallop pasta and it was incredible!!! The pistachio soufflé was moist and warm and it came with peanut butter ice cream, that was my favorite! Nives and Zoran were both so kind and attentive. Best meal and service ever!

This beautiful restaurant overlooks the marina and is located just a short walk away from the main square. The amazing atmosphere is only outshined by the wonderful food and outstanding service. I highly recommend the seafood dishes (seared tuna, any fish) and the desserts (we got the chocolate marquis cake, pistachio soufflé and tiramisu). I would also like to commend Mate and Nives for being friendly and attentive, making for an extremely pleasant dining experience. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Hvar again!

I am reviewing the food, as I haven't stayed in the hotel yet, and the octopus we had was chewy as a leather shoe, the same price and about half as tasty, after visiting, we asked a few local guides about the restaurant and were told it was pretentious because Bezos ate there once or twice, and they put effort into that only when he's around. The service personell was nice, but recommended whitewine to pumpkin, which is a challenge on its own, if you disregard that pumpkin is not only served with almost all their spring foods and not a particularly seasonal ingredient. Restaurants like this are the reason I usually ask locals for recommendations, because places like these are easy traps for those of us who don't know the signs. I am thankful for the lesson it taught me.

One of the best dining experiences of recent memory. And I live in New York. Every course of the tasting menu was rich with flavor and texture. Much better than some of the Mich-star restaurants I’ve been to. And Martin was a charming ambassador for the afternoon. Standout dishes were: - Cabbage leaf taco - Strawberry gazpacho - Tuna tartar - Scampi risotto - and the amazing avocado dessert We will be back!

Restaurant only. Zori definitely poses itself as a haute cuisine restaurant. And may be called as that. The food selection is unique and what is most importantly tasty (we tried stake, tagliatelle's , and childish chicken stipes). Staff was friendly and helpful. The place has a perfect view and can definitely be considered romantic. Being close to the beach it is considerably separated, thus it will not disturb on the overcrowded days. The only problem, considerably significantly ruining the atmosphere were the vasps which were constantly flying around and were quite disturbing. Considering the high-level of the restaurant, finding some solution is of strong reccomendation. Considering the food and the location, the prices are found deservingly high, but be expected for around 100Eur/per

Beautiful location by the water and taking the ferry to the island to party is a beautiful setting. However sadly with the noise restrictions and party restrictions, the bar and restaurant only function as the parties have stopped. However, the food was great and we had a good time

It's ok. Definitely overpriced, the VIP experience is fairly basic to be honest. The service is good but they don't offer or sell sunscreen and the amenities are pretty basic. The sushi ship was good, food was probably the best part of the experience. The waiter who was serving us at the sunbeds suggested a 20% tip which was a total joke couldn't believe the audacity given the price of the sunbeds is €100 each!

We had an amazing day at Carpe Diem on Wednesday. We got the Sea Net package, which was beautiful and super relaxing right by the water. Our server Dom was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and really made our day. We stayed for dinner too, and the food was delicious. Overall, great vibes, great service, and a perfect spot to enjoy Hvar.

An incredible beach club just a short boat ride from Hvar Town. The daytime vibe is perfect for relaxing on comfortable sunbeds with crystal-clear water, while the on-site restaurant serves a great mix of sushi, pizza, and other dishes. As the sun sets, the place comes alive with DJs and live performances, creating a fun, energetic nightlife. Boats to and from Hvar Town make access easy, and the overall atmosphere is both chic and vibrant—perfect for a full day of sun, food, and music. Get a reservation!

Excellent beach with an amazing bar setup and great seating options. Feels like a high-end club, with prices on the higher side, but definitely a good place to hang out on a beach day. A must-visit in the Hvar area.

I were starving and wanted a Croatian food and this place was really good surprise!!! Absolutely everything is made here super fresh, the atmosphere is exactly like a Croatian family received you in with an stunning ocean local view (seriously watch this the side walk was a entertainment a part) The fish was amazingly fresh, they even offer to separate the bones themselves before we could eat (but I like to do it by myself). The wine is local and the suggestion of rose couldn’t be better. Listen to them and try what the house suggests. We try the onion ice cream, yes ONION! And yes, do it!!!! They made it fresh and it’s incredible good!!!

Best meal in Hvar! We decided to get seafood for today's dinner! We first started off with the fried calamari which was one of the best calamari we have ever tried. For the second entre was the smoked mussle which was amazing, we've never tried mussle that taste and smell that good and for the the final entre we got the sesame crusted tuna steak which was very delicious aswel 😋 Service was 10/10 very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this family own restaurant to anyone that visits Hvar. Please don't hesitate on the prices, the quality of the food and service is beyond amazing. Thank you!

Coming here since about 10 years every 2 years and love the stay every time. I love the great vegan options in the new menu. The Zucchini Spaghetti were amazing for example. Found this place randomly walking along the coast and was such a gem. Had an amazing lunch then ended up coming back for dinner the same night. The staff was very friendly and answered any of our questions. The tuna bruschetta, steak, and octopus were truly delicious. Was my favorite meal of the entire week. The vibe of the restaurant is very relaxing and the view is even better. 10/10 would go back again.

If you are looking for a relaxing day at a unique place on the Hvar coast, than this is the spot for you. The other beach clubs are also great, but Falko is quiet and peaceful and they have done a really great job of building day beds into the rocks on the coast.

I Cannot say enough good things about this place. We did have someone call up and help us get a table for the same night and they accommodated us. I am so happy we went here, we were treated very good from the moment we walked in. I felt like we were eating at a family’s backyard. The atmosphere, The food recommendations for appetizers and main course were great, the homemade wine was excellent, smooth and didn’t give me a headache! The dessert was an added bonus. I hope to come back to Hvar just so I can come here again, definitely a great night, thank you to everyone at Konoba Kokot!

The place and hospitality are amazing! You get a complimentary welcome drink (rakija) at the beginning, which is a lovely touch. We had reserved the wild boar in advance, and it was served right on time—warm and freshly baked. The flavor was incredible, and the portion size was massive. The house wine was also very good, and to finish, we were treated to a delicious house dessert. I definitely recommend this place, especially the wild boar!

The food was amazing. We had grilled lamb and lamb soup instead of the grilled lamb in iron pot because that has to be ordered a day before. Highly recommended. Cash only.

A perfect combination of a laid back experience mixed with traditional Mediterranean cuisine. House wine is also great. Sitting in the garden feels magical! Make sure to order in advance if you want to try traditional peka. Bring cash, cards are not accepted.

I hardly give 5 stars, but this restaurant deserves it definitely. You sit in a very cosy place surrounded by beautiful plants, while the great-grill-guy prepares your dish on real fire. On the other side you are served by very friendly and welcoming konoba staff, explaining you the dishes and helping with selection. * oh and the french fries in this place is beyond being delicious. Hats off also to the kitchen-crew! Thanks to this awesome konoba, our evening was awesome… so I definitely recommend with 5 stars. Caution: CASH ONLY

We had chicken at Konoba Kokot today. Our guide ordered it two hours in advance. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 1:30pm. The chicken was over cooked, the potatoes were burned, the carrots were mush, and the zucchini was unrecognizable. There was at least a cup of oil on the metal plate/pan. Service was brusk. Dessert was called flan but seemed more like cold scrambled eggs, solidified, and topped with a light cold tasteless syrup over it. Not an experience I want to repeat.

The owner opened his restaurant during Easter Monday for our tour group, and we were treated to a very tasty meal (specifically excellent grilled fish and wonderful red wine). Had not had such delicious meal for a long time.

We visited a few reataurants on Hvar, but this was the best one. Great service, nice atmosphere, but the hobotnica ispod peke was absolutely marvelous. Tender, tasty, everything it should be. Make sure to make a reservation (we were in July and had to book 2 days in advance). Enough parking space, no need to worry about that.

Best restaurante in Hvar!! I’ve spent 5 days in Hvar and I must say this was the best restaurant. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the location everything was exceptional!! The price was super fair specially compared with the prices in Hvar! We payed 100€ for two people and we had everything: wine, food, appetiser, desert, etc! Highly recommend it!! 🙏🏼

A must-visit on Hvar. The ambiance is beyond beautiful situated on a small hill surrounded by old stone houses. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the main dishes. The wines they serve are all local wines, and you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. The staff as well was very friendly and helpful. Great experience!

The restaurant was really amazing. We had the famous octopus we ordered two days in advance. It was ready basically as we walked in. It was excellent, full of flavors and very soft. For dessert we had the restaurants pancake and cheesecake and both were delicious. Honestly, only thing better was the amazing service we had, which was friendly, nice, multilingual and relaxed. Truly great experience and a wonderful place to visit. Can't recommend enough. Bonus: it was a lot cheaper then most places on the island.

I’ve visited this restaurant this year and the year before. Many things have changed. Last year i would definitely give this restaurant a 5/5 review, but this year only 3 stars from me. Here is the thing. The new, modified menu is noticeable right from the start. It has a new modern fancy looking font which is usually used in more prestige restaurants. Also the menu has changed compared to last year, a-lot of dishes from the past are not available anymore. The prices have increased and the portions have gotten smaller. The thing I always admired about this restaurant was that everything was homely and simple. This year, however, that is not the case, the dishes no longer look the same as before. The presentation is beautiful, but it no longer looks so simple and is intended for tourists who want to take pictures of every plate and post it on their Instagram profile. The restaurant has been modernized and the food started to look very luxury, “fancy looking” and not homegrown anymore. Small portions for big money. Food is good but not as good as year before. The waiter last year surprised me very positively with his kindness. This year, however, there is a different waiter who is even friendlier than last year, he really wants to make your experience perfect. Unbelievable. Definitely worthy of praise. Let me sum it up: the restaurant started doing its food in a very different way. Last year, the portions were large, they looked nice and homemade. This year, the portions are small and look very fancy and luxury. Prices have also increased.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with wood baked meat and fish. Nothing but a delicious taste of beefsteak with truffle or green pepper sauce! Homemade fries was top notch side with it! And then carob cake was the perfect sweet end of this amazing food experience. Totally worth the visit compared to other restaurants here. And huge thanks to Ante whose service was simply the best! :)

The most amazing food and dining experience I have had in Hvar. The server was super nice and outgoing and the food was just fabulous. We tried every appetizer there was and I cant decide which one I liked better. We also had the fish al forno - best fish I ever had! I highly recommend this place! The prices might be a bit more on the higher side, but trust me it is worth it.

Stajun is one of our all time favorite stops for lunch or dinner. Besides the immaculate flavor profiles of each dish, there is apparent craftsmanship that makes each plate stunning. This chef is a master of his art! We loved feeling at home with the help of Ana and Vlad! Will be making this restaurant a must do anytime we are in Hvar!

Vladimir was our fabulous server! This was a recommendation from a server at another restaurant. He said you must try it. Everything is very fresh! We had a scallop starter served with mint and pesto that was spectacular. Vladimir suggested tortellini stuffed with shrimp in a tomato sauce and a fresh fettuccine with shrimp and asparagus pesto. They were both exceptional. For dessert we had 2 beautiful dishes served on limestone. The presentation was 💯 I would highly recommend this on your next trip to Hvar.

We loved our dinner here. We shared the scallops which were incredible! Then had the octopus and fish fillet for our mains - both great. Wouldn’t recommend the potatoes and greens as it’s only 2 small steamed potatoes with mostly wilted greens. Location is hidden down a lane and opens into a really beautiful terrace garden. This has probably been our best meal in our visit to Croatia and we have had some fabulous meals! The food, the atmosphere, and the service were beyond fabulous. We had an amazing experience at Stajun in Hvar. The food was outstanding. The tuna tartare was honestly the best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is charming and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hvar.

It was an enjoyable experience. We only had appetizers. We loved the raw scallop dish and delicious charred artichokes, and the clams vongole pasta. We came here before our hotel room was ready and they were kind to let us store our bags. They have a great wine list. I bet their main dishes are delicious. We did not enjoy the tuna tartare…. It was bizarrely plated & appeared a bit dirty. The tuna was served in sweet, thin, crumbly mini waffle cones.. and did not have much flavour at all… and we really disliked how its plated in a bowl of dry lentils & chunks of dried figs..

I just had one of the BEST COOKIES of my whole life. freshly baked, amazing texture and sweetness, whole hazelnuts and lots of chocolate. it’s the only thing they sell to eat and honestly I think that’s ok. regarding coffee: I had an iced latte and it was ok, also cheaper than other cafes in Hvar :)

100% best coffee in town! They had a brazillian sort called “samba”… flat white that they made was out of this world. Creamy, rich and full of flavour… Also, people that work there were very friendly, effortlesly cool and laidback while maintaining high level service in a high speed working environment.. Cute too! Plus they have nice cookies. This place makes u want their shop in ur hometown. Would visit every day!!!

Best place on Hvar for coffee. The staff is friendly, helpful, and drinking coffee on a bench in that sweet little street is what dlow island life is about. Definitely will be coming back whenever i’m on Hvar

Fantastic specialty coffee in the heart of Hvar! They are one of the top roasters in Croatia and it shows in the flavor of their coffee. The iced vanilla latte is really nice. Full of vanilla flavor but without the cloying sweetness of most flavored lattes in the U.S.. (meaning they don’t overdo it with the syrup, though sadly they don’t make their own syrups). Prices are what you would expect for Hvar, but the 1 euro up charge for non-dairy milk is excessive, especially when already paying for an expensive specialty drink and when dairy and non-dairy milk is at price parity these days. However, the quality of their drinks is top notch and it’s definitely worth a stop if you enjoy coffee. The chocolate hazelnut cookies are lovely as well, especially when you get them still warm in the early morning. Service is very friendly and indoor seating is lightly AC-ed and comfortable.

Fabulous panoramic view of Hvar. Drinks were reasonably priced considering the view. Had Croatian white wine which was good. Seats inside are very comfortable. Soft chairs on the terrace are reasonably comfortable also. We visited mid afternoon and service was a little bit slow, but considering the view, we were in no rush!

The view is breathtaking! Luckily got a table right at the edge and had the best view ... We spent the next few hours just being mesmerized by the view. The cocktails are good too .. but I almost forgot about it while writing this 😅

Been here many times and even though prices are high the view is the best in Hvar! Has a few meals here which have been good but last night getting the burrata salad with focaccia was a first. A full tomato, no effort, just ingredients listed were placed on a board, the balsamic once a very nice brand(bottle has been refilled with a cheap version) focaccia was just cut up cold bread that was once toasted. Sadly I was left very disappointed!

Stopped here for drinks and appetizers. The view was great, the drinks were great and the food was good!! The cucumber cooler was very refreshing but the passion fruit martini was AMAZING!! Our new favorite drink! We also had the fried shrimp appetizer which was very good. Service was also good.

Me and my friend went for a drink and to grab something to eat, as she had fantastic salad there a day before. Ordered 2 apperols, one tuna tartar and burrata with tomato and pesto. Tartar was ok, too much of sesame oil. Cannot really taste tuna. What she got was just burrata , a bit of rocket salad and the WHOLE unsliced tomato! For a fancy bar at 4 star hotel it’s just ridiculous. For that we payed almost 100 Eur.

Shockingly Rude Service and Racial Bias - Avoid This Place! I was treated with utter disrespect and blatant rudeness by the female bartender/server at this establishment. From the moment I arrived, her face was sour and she made zero effort to acknowledge my presence, making me feel completely invisible. This was clearly her own issue, as she was in a foul mood even before serving me. The service was non-existent: no greeting, no menu provided, no order taken. I was simply left stranded. Despite having a leisurely evening, there is absolutely no reason to waste your time in a place that so openly disregards its customers. To make matters worse, the neglect felt deliberate and was paired with painfully slow service from the entire staff. The combination of the server's consistently mean demeanor and the lack of basic hospitality strongly suggests a racially motivated bias. We left without ordering as it was clear we were not welcome. Do not recommend to anyone.

The best meal we’ve had yet in Hvar! The food at San Marco was absolutely incredible - every dish was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was our waiter Karill. His service was impeccable and he added such a warm, personal touch to the evening. We ate here for breakfast and dinner during our hotel stay. The breakfast is amazing. Best Bloody Mary bar I’ve ever seen. Dinner service was excellent and everything you expect from a true 5* property. The food was really good. I would recommend everything we ordered: Octopus starter, Scallops, Lamb. We will rerun on our next trip to Hvar.

Quite good ice cream for the price, melts super fast though, therefore really messy to eat from the cone. There is also no places anywhere nearby to wash your hands, so it’s very inconvinient. They could provide wet hand towels or similar.

You cannot call that an Ice cream nor a Gelato. The cream was at the wrong temperature and melted on the hand forcing us to eat the cone and whatever it was melting very quickly. We paid 16 Euros for a couple of scoops cones and, coming from Italy, this product is WAY far from having the right to be named Gelato. Service is quite hasty and dismissive. Perhaps on fruit juices they perform well, but would never recommend to even queue for it.

Best gelato I had in Hvar, quite possibly the best gelato I've ever had! Many of their options combined multiple flavors -- I loved the dark chocolate berry and cherry chocolate. A thin layer of chocolate shell covered many of the flavors, so you got a nice chocolate crunch in each bite. Really special gelato -- don't miss it!

We reserved a place day in advance, but when we arrived the waiter informed us that he was not informed about our reservation. We ordered drinks, which arrived after 25 minutes, while we waited for the food for another hour and a half. My medium-rare stake arrived well done, and with additional side dish that I did not order (and was not informed that it is included) - I returned it and the replacement came frosen in the middle. The place was almost empty, apart from our group there was only one other occupied table. The vegetables were excellent, and the rest of the group was relatively satisfied with their fish dishes. If you like meat - avoid at all costs!

We had a wonderful time at the Konoba and tasting room. The food was excellent and crafted to the highest standards. The wine is delicious, and is truly like no other in Dalmatia. I highly recommend Konoba Huljić for anyone who wants a unique and comprehensive wine experience!

We came here with my friend during our trip to Hvar. He has been there before, and was strongly recommending the place, but this time the experience was different. We were seated and given the menu. It took us a while to choose something, as we don't usually eat fish or seafood. Eventually, we were ready to order, but the waiter told us that they don't have many ingredients, due to the upcoming closure of the restaurant, so there was like 30% of the fish menu still available. Which has left us with not so many options to choose from, and the waiter was recommending us one of the positions in quite a persistent way. We ordered something else in the end. Indeed, the food was delicious, and the place itself is lovely and unique, but the situation of rechoosing in a rush was pretty upsetting and inconvenient and would be solved easily, just if we were told about the limited choice options before we have chosen unavailable dishes. Still, I believe, you may get a better experience if you go there in the middle of the touristic season. Let's see the next time we're in Croatia.

Posting about the winery since the tavern and winery have the same owner. Small but impressive operation — visited early in the season but they opened up the place for us. Unique, interesting, and tasty wines. Very much recommended.

Way better than the big chain gelato places—this spot feels way more unique and handmade. Pistachio cone edge was amazing—packed with flavor, super generous, and the cone was crispy with this yummy toasty finish. Banana is a total hidden gem—super smooth and full of real banana flavor. You don’t see that often! Apple pie was really interesting—like a soft apple cake with just a hint of cinnamon, really cozy. Chocolate was rich but still light and refreshing.

Fantastic ice cream, made in house. Several non-standard flavours . You can sample 2 or 3 before choosing. 3 80 Eur per small pot so not cheap but worth it, and you get a complimentary wafer :-)

Really unfriendly server, portion size was by far the poorest in all the places we've visited in Croatia traveling for a month, and we've tried a lot of ice cream! There was no prices visible and paid €14 for two tubs with 2 tiny scoops in each tub. I told the girl serving us that it was the smallest amount I'd received anywhere else and she just didn't care. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place

Very poor value for money, No prices posted on the menu for regular size - our mistake. Small is EUR 3.50. We expected a regular would be EUR 5.00. Actual price turned out to be EUR 7 dollars - the most expensive Gelato compared to Italy or the United States in Croatia. See receipt. My son got a pistachio cone, add another 3 for the cone so that is EUR 10. We paid EUR 34.50 for one small and 4 regular.

I’m giving this a 5 star because of the amazing customer service and of course the taste of the Ice cream. I wandered in here and ordered the Chocolate with hazelnut, the lady was so kind she refused to accept any money for it as she said they were closing. I was so surprised! I have never experienced this before. To top it off the ice cream was rich and creamy

A truly great experience. Away from the overcrowded Hvar to the nice and calm Stari Grad. Great location, friendly staff but, above all, the high quality food made this one of the better places we experienced in Croatia. Ok resturant. Food was and drinks was good but service just ok. For only our party first they missed one mojito, then a burger and last they had added one water to much on the bill. They were polite and apologized so it was not a big thing hopefully just a bad day.

Seven Hvar is absolutely the best club in town! The atmosphere is amazing – vibrant, energetic, and exactly what you want for a night out on Hvar. The music, the crowd, and the vibe are all top-notch. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the staff, especially our waiter Davor. He was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole evening. His positive attitude really stood out and made the night even more enjoyable. I had the surf and turf burger, which was delicious, but the real star of the meal were the truffle fries – such a perfect combination with the truffles. We also tried a few cocktails, all of them amazing, but I’d especially recommend the Slot Machine.

Great spot for a coffee & a sweet treat. Located along one of the main streets this place was a great find, friendly owners, really good coffee and an amazing selection of baked goods. Great experience. Food was good, service was as well. The setting, however, didn't feel very 'fine dining'. More 'casual' fine dining experience (didn't have the pressure to order loads of wine and dishes, like in some establishments; we were immediately given a bottle of water; waiters were happily chatting and humming to the music). Its basically 'omakase' style - a 4/5 course no-choice dinner. More importantly, it represented good value (HRK 290 per person). Highly recommended.

There are many good things about this restaurant. First the service is amazing, from the chef (at your sight at all time ) to the owner, the place feels like eating at home ( "Ko Doma"). The restaurant has a pre set menu that in my experience has ups and downs. Second, the main dish was amazing, the shark and the ñoquis was extraordinary. The tomato and shrimp soup was extremely surprising and I would love to have more in the future. However the aperitive and the desserts not that good. I would like to emphasize that the service is really top notch, providing bread and water at all times and asking you when would you like the next dish. The restaurant has the potential no fix some pieces that were not that amazing and make shine those that are really full with flavour and unique.

Great concept of 1 menu per day. Nice surprise experience to get served an appetizer, main dish and a dessert which has already been chosen for you. Offcourse you will know a little bit what is being served. The ambiance is quite relaxed, the waiters are friendly and the restaurant is very popular. My expectations got more than satisfied. This restaurant is in the backyard, it's very calm and cosy. The quality of the food is excellent. You definitely need to reserve a table, it's always booked. Fantastic restaurant, situated up on a cozy rooftop with great views overlooking the City. The food was even better than the view. The burrata with pesto was delicious. For the main, we ordered the daily catch of the day (seabass) roasted in a pan with garlic and a white wine sauce, together with vegetables. Could eat this every day for the rest of our vacation. The place has a lovely view to the canal and a great spot overall, but if you actually appreciate good wine don’t do the wine tasting, it was the worst wine we had in the island, it tasted like some cheap supermarket version along with food that was clearly from a package sold with the idea it’s “local produce”. There’s other amazing spots in town with actually good local wine and local produce if that’s what you looking for.

We spent a very pleasant couple of hours at Nonno Toni Wine and Oil Bar in the heart of the beautiful village harbour. We learned about Croatian wine production and local history from the very friendly host and sampled several Hvar wines with delicious tapas from the region.

One of the highlights from our trip to Hvar and the best meal we had on the island by far. The black risotto was very good and the fish of the day was cooked extremely well. We were there for drinks only at lunch time ! The front of house lady and the waiters were all very lovely and keen for a chat ! We made a reservation for Dinner and we had the best meal in Croatia. The service was outstanding and the food very very good. I had the octopus cooked in the wood fire oven and my partner had the seafood pasta - fresh seafood and homemade ! The house white wine is a must ! Please do yourself a favour and try this restaurant. It wont disappoint you.

A small seaside restaurant – very tight inside, but that actually adds to its charm. It’s definitely worth making a reservation, as the place gets very crowded (while the restaurant right next door was completely empty even during peak hours). The food is solid Dalmatian cuisine, nothing too special, but tasty overall. The cod carpaccio stood out as the highlight, while the rest was simply good. As for the service – maybe it was just the waiter we had – but he seemed very distracted. The dishes came one after another with no pause, plates were taken away the second we finished (sometimes even while we still had cutlery in our hands). I understand it was busy, but it really felt rushed, almost like a conveyor belt. Prices are on the higher side compared to other places on the island with similar quality. Overall, it was okay, but not a place we’d likely return to.

We came here as a big group and we got the best Mediterranean culinary experience. Everything from starters to mains was just marvelous. The fish dominates most of the plates and the staff will help you find a great wine that pairs well with your dish. What stood out was the wild boar goulash with house made gnocchi. Local olive oil with home made bread and Brancin from the grill. Deserts are very nice as well. Might be the best place on Hvar considering the quality price ratio.

Went there three times within three days! The service is great ! The food is delicious ! Fish is fresh and delivered everyday by local fishermen (I saw it with my own eyes)! The name of the restaurant actually means : two fishermen. I highly recommend this restaurant. Octopus whether cooked or raw (carpaccio) is to be tasted. And the tuna steak !!! You definitely have to order it ! It’s the best tuna steak I’ve ever eaten in my whole life (and I’m saying it as a middle-aged man who loves tuna steak).

Highly recommend going to Kebab Factory Hvar for a tasty, reasonably priced kebab and/or loaded fries. Unlike usual kebab shops, this restaurant makes the kebabs with fresh vegetables and the meat isn’t overly greasy. Delicious and definitely worth it!

We had a pretty good chicken kebab, but the storefront was pretty strange. The employee told us they only had chicken and that we couldn't modify the vegetables, and then encouraged us to not go inside - he made it the wrap quickly and brought it outside to us along with a card reader. The inside was otherwise empty and the drinks fridge had been cleaned out, which seemed weird considering it was around 6pm.

Generous portions for their kebabs and they tasted amazing. The smoked tofu and chicken in particular tasted great. The owners are very friendly and helpful too and make the experience of dining in more enjoyable. They have an indoor and outdoor seating option available.

Wow. I just had the rudest experience for a waiter I've possibly ever had. I was standing outside and tried to walkside and was greeted with "don't walk inside". I then asked do they serve kebabs without bread and was greeted with NO. There were a few empty tables inside. It appeared all too hard for the male waiter. Shockingly rude service. The food has to be better than the service. What a welcome to hvar moment that was. That waiter is literally repelling customers.

The loaded fries were better than any food I ate in Italy, what a welcome to Croatia. We received great service; we were told upfront that they were understaffed, but we were happy to wait for takeaway and everything was delicious.

Best meal in Hvar hands down. The service was top notch - Mate was knowledgeable, friendly, made great recommendations, and helped clean our prawns. Each dish was phenomenal- we got the ribeye, the truffle makaruni, and scampi pasta, and all were perfectly seasoned. They offered to keep our pasta under a warming lamp while we ate our main dishes so it would stay warm. This is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Hvar, and absolutely our best meal while there. Can’t recommend it enough.

Hands down our favourite restaurant on the whole island! We dined at Mediterraneo Dine & Wine on our last night in Hvar — and honestly, we wish we had discovered it sooner. The food was probably the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything from the service to the presentation and flavours was simply perfect. We loved it so much that we booked a lunch the next day, just before heading back to the airport in Split — it was that good! The risotto was absolute perfection — so good, in fact, we had it twice (once for dinner and again the next day for lunch). The Fillet Mignon was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. We missed out on the monkfish at dinner, so made sure to try it at lunch — and it ended up being my second favourite dish! And the dessert? Stunningly beautiful and even better in taste — a perfect end to an incredible meal. If you’re in Hvar, do not miss this place. It’s a must. Just wish we had found it on night one — we’d have been back every evening!

Hands down the best restaurant in Hvar! Dine & Wine in the heart of Old Town. It gave me one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. From the 60-day dry-aged ribeye to the monkfish with polenta, every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The family-run charm, serene courtyard, and attentive staff made the experience feel truly special. If you’re in Hvar, this is an absolute must-visit!

Myself and 3 family members had an incredible dining experience here on August 5, 2025. I was able to make a reservation online 1 week in advance. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service impeccable and the food was perfect.

Truly amazing restaurant. Highly recommend, worth a detour. We loved the tuna tartare which tasted caught that day, the Greek salads, with fresh feta cheese and kalamata olives, the burrata salad, and the rich mushroom soup. I came here with my friends because we saw the 4.5 star review. However I think most of the hype is due to the prime location and good service. The waiters were very attentive, great location for dinner, all around ambiance was great. Food wise though… I need to give this a 3 star. The pizza dough was alright, too cheesy in our opinions, the seafood pasta sauce was very watery, the shrimp pasta was actually the best option, the pasta a bit overcooked though. For its prime location and wide variety of options to satisfy everyone, I would say this is an easy place. However for the foodies who are more particular, this is not the place for you. We were coming off of a boat day and just wanted to carb load, this was the place for that.

Gorgeous food. We stayed in Hvar for 4 nights and ate here twice! Apparently the oldest pizza’s on the island! I got the prawn pizza both nights and it was delicious. Everyone in our group loved their meals both nights, atmosphere was lovely! Right on the square so overlooking people passing by. We were offered free limoncello shots the first night and received a discount the second. Service was great, host lady was lovely and the waiter Nadim was very nice too. Lovely staff and gorgeous food! Would definitely recommend!!

In terms of variety, this place holds up well. The pizzas aren’t extraordinary, but given the limited options nearby, it’s a solid choice—especially right in the middle of a busy square with a commercial feel. At first glance, it seems like just another tourist spot, but after hearing from our Airbnb host that it’s family-owned, we gave it a shot—and we’re glad we did. The vibe is more genuine than it looks, and the food backs it up. You can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas or a classic Croatian beer. Prices were fair too, especially by Hvar standards.

The Truffle Pasta melts in your mouth; the Tagliata sets a new standard; the lava cake erupted with every bite; and the service ( from servers (Kiare, Mario, Ordanche) to drinks master to chef ) was superb. I came to the city for the first time, it's beautiful and peaceful, I was also in your place, which surprised me with the view of the entire square, we ate pizza and salad, which I can say is in the top 3 places I've eaten, but I put it first, the waiter was funny and excellently professional, and at the end we also got a limoncello, a big bravo to the guys.

The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. I ended up ordering the marinated sardines for entree, and the cuttlefish and broad bean stew for mains. It was the best meal I had during my one week in Croatia. My waiter was Antonio and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. I was too full for dessert and Antonio recommended a lovely walking route which made it a perfect evening. Thank you Antonio.

The best thing about this restaurant is service - many thanks two two Serbian boys and one Macedonian. They really put a lot of effort into hosting us, providing friendly & polite service. Boys are young (one has 18) but very well mannered. Food was average. Salad was kinda old, especially tomato & dry cucumbers, you need to put seasoning by yourself that is ok but salad than needs to be fresh. Fish was fresh ! There is a nice view , it is not the first raw but still you can see the see, that gives a calm feeling. On another side of our table we have a view to the tower.

Lola Bar is hands down one of the coolest spots in Hvar! The atmosphere is vibrant, colorful, and full of life — a hidden garden oasis with a laid-back yet stylish vibe. The cocktails were creative and super tasty, each one crafted with care and flair. We also loved the food — fresh, flavorful, and with a fun twist on street food. The bao buns and tacos were absolute standouts! The staff was super friendly, upbeat, and made us feel welcome from the first moment. Great music, great people, and the kind of place where you come for one drink and end up staying all night. Lola Bar is a must if you're looking for good energy, amazing food and drinks, and a unique, unforgettable Hvar experience!
