Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Kettering

As described in another review this is a very eclectic place, both the decorations and the food. And honestly the clientele as well. Singles, couples, and families. The menu food ranges from American to Mexican, Sri Lankan, Korean, Mediterranean and all sorts of breakfast. Drinks likewise cover a wide range of traditional and very creative. Really enjoyable, casual locations to have a meal. And a pleasant surprise, the QR Code ordering worked even with my US phone number and email.

We enjoyed our lunch at Kino Lounge. My only slight criticism is that we asked for extra spicy, which amounted to a few extra chopped chillies being thrown on the top. It would’ve been nicer if these had been cooked into the food. Service was very good though and plenty of options on the menu.

Nice vegan menu and the atmosphere is as well quite friendly and nice. Very open space. You don't have table service but you can order with an app or at the bar and they will bring you the food

Kino feels like one of the trendiest places in Kettering — and in a small town with limited options, it really stands out. The interior design is beautiful, modern yet inviting, and it sets the perfect atmosphere for a night out. We tried a few of their cocktails and they were lovely, well-balanced and thoughtfully presented. We also ordered a few small bites, which were tasty and complemented the drinks nicely. If you’re looking for something a bit more stylish and fancy in Kettering, Kino is definitely the place to go.

Dropped in for breakfast with a friend while we were visiting from Shropshire. We have been before and it never fails to deliver. Lovely atmosphere and great food and service. We will be back.

Always a great place to visit no matter the time of day. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is what you'd expect from a lounge, there's always something new and curious to look at! Food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Full of people meeting friends, writing books, working or just enjoying a good meal by themselves.

So we about 20 colleagues divided to visit this restaurant on Tuesday night. The menu is delicious and plenty options to choose from. I ordered Ravioli pasta. I loved the creamy garlic sauce and the stuffing in pasta.. I highly recommend it

A fantastic place! We came for my daughter’s birthday on a Saturday and discovered the Saturday lunch menu, which is amazing value for money. Will definitely be returning for dinner and future meals. 10/10 would defo recommend.

really nice and highly recommended. The restaurant is actually owned by Indians but the way they have preserved the Italian culture and food was amazing. I went there with one of my Italian friends and he enjoyed the food too. Great service and ambience too.

The food has no taste, I have never eaten the chicken carbonara and I will never eat it again. I do not recommend it.

Came today for the first time visiting. This was the best restaurant experience ive ever had. Staff was unbelievably helpful and kind towards us. Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Would 100 percent recommend and will 100 percent be coming back! Adored every moment

Had a fantastic meal. Not being overly familiar with middle eastern cuisine we went for a bit of everything 🤣. Hot and cold mixed mezze, followed by mixed kebab platter for 2. Everything was very tasty, and well cooked. The service was very good, and staff were friendly. Will definitely return

Absolutely amazing experience at Wama’s Lounge in Kettering! The food was incredible - full of flavour and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a hit! The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made the experience even better. My partner took me here for a meal to celebrate my birthday 🎂 🥳 even though I've lived in Kettering quite a few years, I'd only been there once before many years ago and didn't enjoy it. Well, I was amazed at how much it had changed from the food quality to the service and atmosphere...I had a great time 👍🏽😊 the food portions were big and everything we ate was delicious 😋 I was also serenaded with happy birthday song by the servers with sparklers while they presented me with a big chocolate brownie (with a candle on top)! Also, the cocktails 🍸 are great 👍🏽 👍🏽 All the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely revisit there when we plan our next dinner night out 😊

The fish was not fresh and it was over cooked to hide the smell but did not work, the fish was too dry. As for the pasta, it tasted terrible, we only had a few mouthful, i did not enjoy the food but the environment and the waiters were great! I will not go back through because i wasted over £40 on the food that was stale and overcooked.

Went on a Monday for a late lunch, so the place was completely empty. Service was fine, chap who served us was nice. For me personally the music was far too loud to have a relaxed lunch, the decor was pretty tacky with the chairs having these gold tipped legs, most of which had either been removed or fallen off. Then received a “complimentary salad” which was a weird cold flattened gherkin thing with red cabbage. The bread was stale, cold and cubed. Incredibly dry and felt like I was putting loft insulation into my mouth, thankfully the £5 glass of coke that I ordered came to my rescue, £5 well spent. Not sure I’ve ever been that disappointed with bread before. I then ordered a lamb grilled kebab, rice was the nicest part, again the lamb was incredibly dry and needed to be dowsed in garlic sauce. The flavour was okay but the texture was pretty rubbery and dry inside. For some idiotic reason I had it in my head to then try a shisha pipe, as I’d never done one before. Tried the Savacca frozen Smurf - possibly one of the most unpleasant things I’d ever had. Tasteless, very rubbery / plastic tasting with a very odd aftertaste, was quite expensive. Better off going to the shop and buying a £5 vape. I would’ve raised this with the staff but just thought this was normal - until visiting a different Turkish restaurant and realising how poor the experience at Wama lounge was. If you’re looking for a Turkish around Kettering, best to go elsewhere.

Exceptional service and food. We celebrated our son's 23rd birthday and waiter was brilliant. Very polite, friendly and professional. All our dishes were delicious and fresh. We had mixture of vegetarian and meat dishes and the quality was amazing. The waiter went above and beyond to help us celebrate. Birthday Baklava slice with candle for was a lovely surprise. Highly recommended.

I'd actually give them 3.5 stars. Visited with friends a few weeks ago. Warm welcome and social distancing in place. It took quite a while until our food arrived. Food was good to be fair. The potato skins, tikka, rice and chhole were excellent. The chicken curry and naan was average. They didn't have dessert options. In the end, when we wanted to split the bill amongst us 6 we were asked if we could split it among 3 since otherwise the restaurant would have to pay for the transaction. I have never had this issue before. P.S we did the calculations and calculated to the nearest decimal only to be rudely reminded we paid 10 pence less!!! It wasn't our job to sort the bill in the first place. So I'd say 3.5 stars for food, 1.5 stars for service

Myself, friends and family have actually been to this place multiple times but kept forgetting to review it. Cannot rate it higher, a must go to. We went on a Saturday evening. Massive choice in dishes well presented, freshly made and full of flavours, not at all oily like some places. New dishes on the menu which were very tasty. There are very reasonably priced choices, from inexpensive up to banquets. Gluten free and vegan options available. wheelchair access.

Lovely meal tonight and particularly good to see a vegan section on the menu too. I think it could have been a little hotter (spicy) for my taste but still really enjoyed it. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Pricing not too bad and especially good value with the current eat out to help out campaign. Great place. Will be back again 😊

My second restaurant I visited whilst on business in Kettering. My honest review is that this Chef and their team enjoy what they cook for the diner and this is seen in the quality of the food produced. I had and would recommend the Chana Masala with green chilli, Tandoori Mix (exceptional), Tandoori Roti and Pilau rice. The Chana was flavoursome. The Mix Grill was amazing with the authentic charcoal taste. It was that good I had to bring some of it home for my sister to taste.

Totally brilliant. Good service and a very extensive menu that is well laid out if you need special diets. Food arrived for everyone at the same time which is good for our large party. The meals were all fantastic and actually caused all conversation to stop. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their chosen and very tasty dish. The portions were spot on.

You should try lamb curry and other INDIAN spicy curries, drinks also available but they will deliver bit late however after tasting mutton curry you won’t even feel about late

We visited Mexican Fire Garden last night for my partners birthday. The customer service from booking the table to the incredible service we received on the night was second to none. They hosted 21 of us and the food served in great time. Everyone loved their dinners and we couldn’t fault any part of the evening (I definitely recommend the Enchiladas). What a little gem of a place- we will all be returning! ✨❤️

We booked for a Birthday party of 9 - the booking process was very quick and there was a deposit of £5 per person - there are also options to walk in as well but all smooth and easy and prepared for us to sit down straight away! The atmosphere is amazing and the service is wonderful - the server who I'm assuming is also the owner (apologies if incorrect) is lovely and a breath of fresh air. He was chatty, vibrant and fun and great with the kids we had at the table. The decoration and theming is brilliant, and the sombreros were a fun touch! The food is absolutely amazing - The portions were quite generous and I personally think great value for money. They took extra care with our order and we couldnt have enjoyed it more. Massive compliments to the chef!! We were lucky enough to get a lovely birthday moment so thank you very much for that it really made the night. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone thinking of trying it out as I will most certainly be returning😋

We didn’t have high expectations but the food was delicious and tasted authentic. We ordered 3 starters (quesadilla, calamari, potato skins) plus 1 Fajita steak and chicken combination. Everything was great but my favourite was the Fajita. They are not serving alcohol but guests are free to bring their own drinks without corkage fee. They also have a separate Vegan and Gluten Free menu. Their staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our total dining experience was great. Highly recommended.

Moved to the area and heard nothing but great things about this place, visited twice now and you simply must try it. It’s hidden away but some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The customer service is exceptional, the manager is extremely friendly and chatty and provides such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we have chatted both times and he’s lovely. And the food.. 10/10. The nachos are incredible, mains are huge and absolutely delicious. Great variety and plenty of GF/Vegan options. Don’t miss this place, it’s the full package and such a reasonable price. Great Saturday evening atmosphere too. I will absolutely be going back again and again.

I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. The food was good too. The only concern was the serving guy spoke too much and was trying to crack unnecessary jokes. I went there with other foreign colleagues and the server made some unacceptable comments about their ethnicity which could have hurt someone.

Such a lovely place! Amazing food and great service! I would recommend this to anyone who loves food, the owner was so accommodating. I'd definitely return (and it's the first time I've ever properly tried a Mexican dish) :) 5 stars all around!

Second time coming here! It’s definitely one of our fav places. Food is absolutely delicious, service from Ali is superb! He really does add to the experience. Makes you feel so welcome and so funny. We can’t wait to come back.

An evening meal that deserves a 5 star review. Wasn't sure what to expect but this Brewers Fayre delivers a good experience, nice friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. Food: Easy ordering at the bar, no delays in food being bought to the table. We ordered the Haddock and Chips and Smothered Platter. Hot food, nicely presented, if any criticism it would be that the steak was a little chewy and mushy peas a bit overcooked but everything else really nicely cooked. The deserts were really good and coffee and teas refillable, that was a pleasant surprise. Service: The staff are very friendly and efficient, our waitress pointed out what was not on the menu and details about the deserts. Table was cleared promptly between courses. The restaurant was busy but the service remained efficient. The restaurant and bar reminded me of an old fashioned pub, good food, good drink and a good atmosphere.

Telford Lodge Brewers Fayre is a spacious pub/restaurant with a soft play area that’s handy for families with toddlers. It’s located right next to Premier Inn and just a short drive from Wicksteed Park, with the added bonus of free parking for up to 3 hours (make sure to register your number plate using the tablet provided inside). There’s plenty of seating and the space can easily accommodate large groups, which makes it good for family meetups or casual get-togethers. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. While the prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are quite small and the quality is mediocre at best. Food was served quickly and the kids’ meal was the best, good selection so kids enjoyed it. The interior of the pub feels quite dated and could really benefit from a thorough clean and a modern update. Tables and chairs are old and need changing. The overall vibe was more tired than cosy. The soft play area is a nice touch for little ones, but overall, the place feels like it’s in need of some serious attention. It’s okay for a quick stop if you're staying nearby, but definitely not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again.

I had both dinner and breakfast during my stay. - Breakfast was good — hot, fresh, and enjoyable. I particularly liked the fried eggs and coffee. It was a standard but satisfying breakfast. - Dinner was less impressive. I ordered a burger and chips for £14, which is a reasonable price, but the chips had a fishy smell, and even the fork seemed to carry the same odour, which made the experience unpleasant. Also, there was no table service — you have to order at the bar, which I’m not really a fan of. On the positive side, the burger itself was tasty. Overall, breakfast was enjoyable, but dinner could definitely be improved.

Very friendly staff. Popped in for lunch with my grandad before his hospital appointment and the lady server Elise was very friendly and was very attentive bless her. The man at the carvery called Adam (I think) was very pleasant. Helped my grandad with his portion size. Lovely friendly staff and the food was decent.

Regularly come for the buffet breakfast. Friendly staff (Gail's great), food is good value and the coffee's decent. Some places have jugs of instant but they've proper machines here. Now, if only they improved the WiFi I might come twice a week instead :) Lastly, you can't beat the kids eating free. Amazing value for money, especially during the holidays. My son loves the soft play centre.

Went for breakfast but the food was cold literally not even warm, I asked a staff member if the hot try was working as food was cold and was told it's because it's a cold day and when the door is opened it blows through. I decided to have the continental breakfast very reluctantly, I was asked if I wanted it put in microwave but declined. A short while later a staff member came up to me and said what she had told me was right but also the light on hot plate was of so yes it was cold, to be honest I thought it was good for her to tell me. Was only charged for continental for me and my 3 guests but even though they changed the hot plate then food was hot but by then I had filled up on toast so was totally gutted.

The pub was nice, food was good. Most of the staff were lovely. A couple of them thought it was OK to swear (not at us but within general chatting...) We held a wake there the following day. The food was good and plenty of it for the package we ordered. They were very accommodating to our needs.

It was our first time visiting Miller & Carter Steakhouse and wow were we not disappointed. Service was brilliant with Andrea as our table server; she took our drink and food orders quickly and efficiently, consistently asked if we needed anything during our meal, and was incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. The food was utterly delicious and worth every penny. Will definitely go again. - From the family up North

Food was generally amazing. Waiting time was around an hour and half so was a while but apart from the staff were lovely and definitely will be going back again.

Experience was great. Been a while since ive been to this location as prevously had several small issues with food so tended to visit the Northampton branch instead. However it seems to be much better now. Shout out to Andrea, she was very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating.

This is not the first visit to Miller & Carter , but it’s usually a very special experience. Lucy - our waitress has been extremely friendly, helpful and very professional as usual (she has been serving us couple of times before). Not a complaint, but almost all dishes were unsalted this time and one side were twice bigger than the same second portion. But it’s just a small bits and as I said before it’s a lovely place with lovely staff and gorgeous food, so highly recommend to everyone 🖤

Our experience was lovely. We were sat at our table swiftly and our food and drinks were everywhere so tasty and came quite promptly! The topping of it was that our waitress Andrea was absolutely amazing and engaging and made the experience even better. (Thank you for dealing with a fickle customer like me so kindly!)

Amelie was amazing. Very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. One of the steaks had grizzle and she sorted that out straight away for us. Fabulous service from ameile. 100% would come back!!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience yesterday evening. We are a family of four; two adults and two children. We reserved a table but that wasn’t necessary, there was plenty of room and the restaurant wasn’t busy. However, four meals to be served at once seemed one step too far. Two meals arrived (one without the accompaniment). Then 5-10 minutes later another child’s meal arrived. 15 minutes later the other adult meal arrived. Eventually after all the meals had been consumed an alternative accompaniment was delivered to the table. It was such a same when you spend £70+ on a family meal that couldn’t be enjoyed as a family. On a positive note the restaurant was dog friendly and offered dog biscuits to four legged patrons.

Nice neighborhood pub with singles, couples and families and friendly staff. Enjoyed the appetizers (sweet BBQ chicken wings and Brie dippers) and steak and ale pie. Along with cider. Two years later and I am back with my wife. A bit quieter tonight, other than the trivia contest upstairs, but a nice neighborhood pub. Can’t seem to get the web ordering to work, but once one of the girls got a bar tender for me ordering at the bar was smooth.

The place was clean and tidy. For a Sunday 2pm it was relatively quite. Unfortunately that's where all the good stops! The service was really slow, even tho it was relatively quiet. The other disappointing thing was roast turkey dinners has ran out. There was 11 of us dining, we had starters and mains, the starters came out and were disappointing, the soups were tepid, the pea shoots that were on the dishes were curled at the edges. The prawn cocktail was great, bread was a bit dry. The mains, roast beef dinner, meat was fatty, roast potatoes not cooked, carrots and broccoli rock solid. Chicken burger and beef burger were greasy, the chips were cold and all the dips that came out had a film over the top of them, like that had been sat under a heat lamp. Salad with the Mac and cheese was curled and warm, didn't look at all fresh. Veggie chilli was incredible spicy, which made it hard to eat. The fish and chips were very greasy and quite unpleasant. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the visit this time round, we visited new year's eve and had a great meals and a fantastic afternoon, yesterday was like visiting a completely different place.

Having used the parkhouse for many years and always having a decent time there , we feel we have to say things have now changed. Rarely you could walk in the place between 5-7 and get a table. Now its virtually empty whenever we've been in. The regulars seem to have disappeared, the atmosphere isn't the same, the staff all seem very new and the foods certainly not the same. We went in tonight , again virtually empty, there was what appeared to be a darts match going on , I mean, thats great in a drinking pub, but the parkhouse has always been a family / couples pub. We did hear the other table next to us complaining about the language, saying it wasn't necessary. Food wise , tonight I had pizza, it was more like cheese on toast. The pizzas used to be great, very thin and crispy , not soft and stodgy and certainly lacking on the tomato base. The salad was great though. We just think its a great shame , one of the local family eateries has now changed and certainly not for the best. If this is the new / different way the parkhouse is to be ran , then great , just unfortunately its not for us anymore. Just wanted to share our honest opinion.

We come here nearly every Wednesday to do their pub quiz and everything is brill! We always have a laugh, and we really enjoy having banter with 'Pedro' and Alex; they're top notch! Makes the experience so much more enjoyable! 😏

A dog friendly establishment; they look after the people well too! Every table downstairs was booked this evening from 7PM onwards so definitely pays to book ahead of arrival. Huge serving of reasonably priced & tasty food with great service too. My Assistance Hound and I made to feel very welcome and a valued customer; UNLIKE if you are unlucky enough to visit Kettering Lidl... My Surf & Turf was delicious tonight, the background music had me bouncing in my chair and the service was wonderful. Sally and I hung around after our meal, until it was time to leave for the cinema; will possibly regret, half way through the movie, that second pint of pop! Brilliant choice for vegans!!! Service was FANTASTIC. Really friendly and kind. My mum had an issue with her meal, which is why i put 4 stars, but they dealt with it well by discounting us. My meal was delicious, i highly reccomend the vegan dough balls!!

The Olde Victoria is a really pleasant place with a warm, welcoming vibe and great people. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing, lively but not too loud, just the right balance for a relaxed meal. We ordered the duo of beef, which included a beautifully cooked short rib that was rich, tender and full of flavour. The roast ham and eggs was simple but satisfying, and the strawberry sandwich for dessert was a real highlight, fresh, sweet and perfectly put together. The food overall was excellent and definitely the star of the visit. Service was decent, but a few small things held it back from being great. We weren’t offered any sauces or extras, and getting the check took longer than expected. That said, the staff were friendly and polite, just a little slow during a busy time. Final Thoughts Great food, good people and a buzzing pub atmosphere. While the service could be a little sharper, I would definitely recommend The Olde Victoria for a solid meal out.

It’s a nice pub for a drink, that’s about as far as it goes. The food is consistently underwhelming. Today I ordered the fillet steak open sandwich, the meat was as tough as old boots. I didn’t even get asked how I want it cooking, even Wetherspoons do the courtesy of asking that! It’s been disappointing on multiple occasions. It’s a shame as the pub is nice and the beer is good, the food is not on par with the rest!

Wonderful place! The staff are all amazing. The food is brilliant. Have the Sunday lunch, delicious and very good value (choose from 2 or 3 courses for a great price).

We visited over the bank holiday weekend whilst away on holiday with family. What a lovely pub! Great food with wonderful service with friendly, approachable staff. The poached pear choux bun, was delicious!! They had lots going on for the children, but we just had a meal and left. The magnetic boards they offered the children were such a great idea and kept them entertained through the whole meal. We also loved that both male and female toilets had changing facilities (we no longer require this, but appreciate that it’s very rare that places accommodate for both parents to change a nappy!)

Lovely pub & restaurant with great staff. Friendly & accommodating. Food is excellent! Not cheap but worth it. Nice pub garden too, trees & benches. Lovely to sit out in the sun with your kids or dog or both!

I have only really been here for lunch a few times and I absolutely love the plate to share. It has pate, scotch egg, pork pie, pickled onions and beetles, as well as tiny pickles, ham, cheese, bread, the works! For less than £20 for two people, I feel like it is excellent value, and the food is very tasty. The staff are very nice, but when you’re outside, and it gets busy, it’s easier to go in and get more drinks than to wait for staff to come to you. I really enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather is nice. I highly recommend a visit, or two.

Well we booked a table for four. It's not cheap but on par with other pubs however the atmosphere was good and the food really nice with portions on above average size , especially the deserts. I'll be back but will have to save up lol...

We were looking for a good Indian restaurant in Corby and we came across this place. They had a good reviews so we thought let's give it a try. We went on weekend and they were fully booked, but managed to fit us upstairs. We ordered mixed starts and main dishes. Food and starters were good except satkora chicken and lamb shank. Satkora chicken was bit bland and lamb shank was boiled which gave us a bit unrealistic taste. Overall it was a good place and food was good. Especially their toilet was clean and quite modern which was a bonus point.

We had a fantastic meal here on Saturday night. My starter of King Prawn Puree was perfect and presented really well. The mains were equally as flavoursome. The service was very efficient and friendly. I’d highly recommend popping in and having meal. Just make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment. It was fully booked last night from 7pm. Thanks again to Gaz and the team at The Raj for making us feel very welcome.

Absolutely loved my visit to the Raj in Kettering. Staff are very friendly and the food was 10/10 and there is a great variety to choose from. The service was very quick and the atmosphere was incredible. The restaurant was very full which shows it’s a popular place. The Raj Kettering is a top Indian restaurant and would totally recommend!

Visited on Saturday 16th November. Lovely warm greeting from staff who were friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is lovely, warm and inviting and is tastefully decorated. The tables in my opinion are a little close together and can be a bit snug for a party of 4 and over especially when the food and side dishes arrive. We had poppadoms and the pickles to start with , which were really tasty. We opted for a Chicken Tikka Balti, Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Vindaloo. We had egg fried rice, special rice, onion Naan and Keema Naan and Onion Bhaji`s. The food arrived hot and sizzling and was plentiful. My wife didnt like her Balti as there were no Peppers or tomatoes? Never had a Balti without these ingredients and my wife was disappointed with he flavour overall. The Vindaloo`s were nice and spicy but was it the best i have had? No certainly not. The Korma had a lovely flavour and all the dishes were well cooked with amazing spices. We all commented on the rice, not being as nice with big lumps of egg, the onion Bhaji were delicious and the Naan breads were divine. The staff were delightful and very attentive, and the service was superb. The price is a litter higher than you would normally pay at an Indian restaurant but it is lovely inside with excellent service. The parking could be awkward, so we parked in Sainsbury`s and paid for the parking. Would i come back for a return visit? No, i have had better Indian food elsewhere but it is down to ones individual taste.

We recently dined at The Raj with my two kids from Cambridge and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional and modern decor. The service was impeccable; the owner and he’s sons & the staff were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. My kids were over the moon by their wonderful hospitality and didn’t want to leave the restaurant, we really enjoyed & had a great evening at The Raj …. Really appreciated The highlight, of course, was the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The Raj offers a fantastic dining experience that is both luxurious and comforting. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy exquisite Indian cuisine. Five stars, without a doubt! My goodness, I've found the most beautiful, authentic tea shop with a WW2 victory theme. 2 fantastic Persian ladies with this idea have created a warm, friendly and very interesting community spot where talking with them is breath of fresh air. The artifax are incredible too. I'll pop in again on my next trip to kettering.

Very nice setting, it's unique war setting gives a different experience. It was full of people which was a good sign, we didn't book but they found us a table. The tea cups are very elegant and made in Britain. You can see the setting in the pictures. The staff are friendly and polite. The food was great We would definitely recommend this place.

My son and I always enjoy our "dates" here. The food is great, the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is always jolly, fun and calm. The history of the building is something more should be aware of and the way it has been preserved and presented is exactly as you would hope. 10/10 on all counts

absolutely would not recommend i brought my family members here and was awaiting them and walked in towards the loo before I ordered for me and my family and was shouted at where do you think your going. to which I replied I'm using the loo and then explained I'm going to buy something after woods to which I was told the damage was already done and to leave. I further explained that I was coming in to sit and she ushered me out of the building saying the damage was done absolutely horrible customer service. If my grandma had been there it would have been about to much for her to put up with due to her dementia

Absolute gem in Kettering tucked away adjacent to the Manor Museum. Charming sisters have taken over management of this unique 1940's themed tea room since 2018. Excellent selection of homemade goodies and very good loose leaf tea to be had here. Thoroughly recommend. No trip to Kettering is complete without a visit to The Blitz.

I was recommended this place by a client at work and I was so glad to be told about this absolutely amazing place. The service was stellar from start to finish. I don't think I have had so many people attend to just one table before. Anything we asked for was dealt with so promptly and politely I was so impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the music playing whilst we ate was apt. Our food was flawless through three courses. As I chef I find it very hard to get food up to a certain standard but this was an exception. I can't recommend this place enough and will be returning asap. The arancini was so good, seasoned perfectly and looked beautiful. My beef ragu was stunning.. a depth of flavour that I thoroughly enjoyed. My partners lasagne was amazing and not a scrap was left by either of us. I ordered lemon tart which came with a shot of lemon cello and it was to die for and looked so pretty. My partner polished her brownie in record time. The bill was just under a hundred pounds which was good considering we had multiple drinks. Bravo for being so on point to all the staff and owner. We will be back asap..thanks so much we are truly happy customers.

We visited as a party of six for a work anniversary celebration and had a fantastic evening. The table was beautifully set, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. There was a great selection of drinks, and the wine choice was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience, making the evening feel extra special. The food was absolutely exceptional — each course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We’ll definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for a special night out!

I would certainly recommend this restaurant. It doesn’t look much from the outside but don’t let that put you off. It’s fantastic!! Beautifully furnished and the food was sensational. We had the fish platter and lobster ravioli, and it was served beautifully. Having been lucky enough to eat at some top fish restaurants, this was up there with the best. The service was attentive and the young waiters and waitresses were polite, and the uniforms were smart but not old fashioned. They also knew the menu and worked well as a team. I was impressed it was fully booked for a Wednesday night and being able to book via Google was so simple. This place is relaxed, but has a nice ambiance with decent clientele making it a sophisticated atmosphere. Thank you for making my sons birthday memorable. The facts: for 3 to eat starter and main course with 2 soft drinks and one beer : £120 Parking: ok, mainly road or in the church which is tight and not for a nervous driver. Outside has no bearing on the interior so don’t be put off. Worth paying for as it’s a great food experience.

Visited for lunch as a group of 8 on the way back home from Wales. Restaurant was quite and we were soon seated. Shift manager was a lovely chap. Food came out pretty quick and was good, all dishes as expected and well presented. They honoured the 2 4 1 free dessert after a game of rock paper scissors with a member of our party taking on the manager Super clean and lovely table next to the kitchen and chef, would visit again

Very clean environment. The staff are very pleasant and they carnt do enough for you. Pepperoni pizza was delicious. Also the free doughnuts with Nutella sauce was superb.

Brilliant service from our Waitress Ella who was very polite and helpful. Granddaughters love their spag bol and burger. They got a complimentary foccia bread starter and doughball Nutella pudding that they liked. I wasn’t taken by the Carbonara fries although my burger was fine. It was a bit noisy at times plus the fire alarm went off twice.

They don't have many vegan options but they were very accommodating in terms of trying to make things vegan for us too. The chefs did a fab on the food, couldn't complain and the staff who served us were lovely. Thank you!

Wasn't as busy as we were expecting for teatime on a bank holiday plenty of free tables, but quite a few were in need of cleaning, guessing it had been busy earlier.m, yet our food still took just over half an hour (only 2 of us). Ordered a medium steak came out really well done, it was OK but very dry. Food was hot though.

I came for the bogof burgers, but was pleasantly surprised that they had a new menu. Even though wasn't bogof it was get one for a £1 which to me was still a bargain. I had a big melt and my partner had the triple stack all I can say is WELL DONE, was so so good I had to meet the chef. I met a chef said his name was billy told him well done keep up the good work. Def coming back.

Ordered steak sizzler at the bar, when food arrived it wasn't on a skillet or a bed of onions and peppers and had no cheese, was just steak with peppercorn sauce, when I questioned it, i was told they had no skillet, I asked why I wasn't told this when ordering and got no reply, no apology, if I hadn't paid already I wouldn't have, wasn't offered a refund or anything

Food was highly disappointing! You’re paying adult prices for children sized meals! The sides did not even fill the ramekin but was paying £2.50/£3 a side… when complaining as we had just spent near enough £40 on the food the man couldn’t have cared less. Just kept saying it’s HR decision, there was 0 empathy. Used to be regulars and enjoy the food here but. The food and customer service has massively gone down hill.

Always come to Peacock for regular drinks with friends, staff are always very helpful and courteous. Food is of good standard and very good value for money. Tracey, Phoebe and Gemma especially are always smiling and give excellent service.

Always good for a good pint and the food is great. Menu gets rotated and improved every other month or so and that keeps the place feeling fresh. Good for breakfast, lunch or a fun night out - especially with karaoke on Fridays!

Was brought here on my birthday for afternoon tea which was wonderful. The view out the window was very picturesque. We did have to wait a while for the food to be prepared but it was so worth the wait, everything was fresh and tasty. We were quite late in the afternoon and the choice of scones was limited so we chose one of each and shared so we all had a taste of each and I can honestly say they were all delicious. My only criticism would be the tiny cups of coffee one cup is included in the price but it's so small and needed to order a second cup. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We visited Glebe Farm Tea Room on 27/06/2025 at around 1pm, it was a completely spontaneous visit after googling places to eat in Kettering while visiting the area and we're so glad we found it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and friendly, polite staff, despite the tea room being quite busy. We asked if we could sit outside with a view overlooking the farmers' fields, and it was absolutely lovely. The food we ordered was amazing (see photos!), and even though it was busy, we only waited about 20 minutes. Everything was fresh and delicious. We highly recommend a visit , a great hidden gem with beautiful views and fantastic service.

Saturday Lunch on the A14 The A14 is a very useful road but it doesn’t seem to have many good eateries. Glebe Farm Tea Room on junction 7 is well worth a visit. Lovely meals and an excellent selection of cakes. We stopped for lunch on Saturday and followed it up with some cakes. Very nice attractive clean restaurant and sun terrace. Delightful staff and good service Sadly it is closed on Sundays and doesn’t stay open late so the late night traveler will have to wait until they reach the M6 We try and time our visits to family in Ely so that We can stop off here at least on our outward journey. Not overly cheap but not extortionate either

Dining out should be a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, this establishment fell short in major ways I was really looking forward to coming based on all the reviews. I can only assume that something was wrong ie staff shortages this day. We experienced excessive wait times for both seating and food delivery. We waited a lengthy time to be seated, however this was our choice and was loosely informed of the wait time. This initial delay would have been more than acceptable if the pace had improved once seated. However, another significant waiting period occurred before orders were food arrived. Waiting over an hour for meals, especially after the initial wait, was unacceptable we arrived there at 13:10 and left at 15:30. There was loads more I could nit pick at but as for first experience this was enough to prevent me from going back in a hurry. Highly enjoyable eating/breakfast experience at Glebe farm. I’ve never seen a place so busy on a Saturday morning ! The service was (expectedly) slow and is reflected in the rating. The food was excellent (I enjoyed the breakfast bap) as was the Vanilla latte. It was a rather wet & misty day when I visited, but I imagine the sweeping vistas across the North Northants Country Countryside outside while having your breakfast would be stunning. Highly recommended.

It's better than many expensive hotels. Scones could be the best I have tasted. My dilemma now is when will l be back on the A14. Is two hours too far for an afternoon tea?

A little cramped, more seating downstairs would be great. I went with my mum who has dementia, it was a little noisy and cramped for her. Coffee and cakes were delicious. Ordered using the QR but the site did not take my Taste Card discount code.

Kafe Bloc is one of my favourite cafes and I always try to go when I'm visiting Kettering. This week I had the eggy bread, which was just as delicious as I remember. The bread is soft, thick and absolutely soaked in egg. Other times I've enjoyed the eggs Florentine and full English. The coffee is good and I love the carrot cake. Tony and his staff are so friendly. If you visit, you should check out Deli Bloc next door.

Daughter (11) review. When we first arrived, we were unsure whether it was open or closed. However when we got greeted warmly inside it turned out to be a cozy authentic restaurant. As we received our menus there was a wide variety of options to choose from. Although there was only 2 of us and there were bigger parties of people we got served in good time. Speaking of time the wait was fairly reasonable after we ordered our food. I ordered a Spaghetti Bolognese which was scrumptious and I devoured every bit. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a perfect amount and the spaghetti had good flavour and came in a good portion. Then he ordered a veal in white wine sauce. A real treat and very enjoyable. The service was attentive and we did not had any problems. They weren't over doing it with the kindness or pestering us. We ordered 2 mains and a couple of drinks with 2 sides and overall it was a good cost almost on the cheap side. I would expect to pay double the price in other restaurants what serve veal. Overall great experience definitely coming back, if you wanted to go to a restaurant that feels like you were back in Italy this would be the place to go.

We enjoyed our Diavola Pizza a lot. For our Pasta, I had the Sicilian Meat Balls which was ok and my husband had the Bolognese which he enjoyed. The service was outstanding. Overall experience was good, it’s worth trying.

We have just had a lovely family meal at Bella Sicilia. We all loved our meals and only managed half our portions so plenty to bring home for tomorrow! Really fantastic authentic and delicious although I would say I would like more vegetarian options even getting the mozzarella bites came with a source that had meat in it I wasn't aware of that.

Wow, really cosy interior, clean tables, the walls painted with eyes-appealing light green colour, overall expression of a place you feel comfortable to be in, although the tables aren't super comfy for tall people (185cm+), so, I'd say interiorwise this placе is aesthetically pleasing. However, it took almost 1,5 hours to get our order, what was simply 3 pizzas. I don't know how to feel about this, since it's a sign that they make the pizzas themselves. And when we got our order... So, there's a quite limited choice of pizzas. You get 4 kinds- a normal one, a spicy one, a seafood one and a vegetarian one. They're alright, except please, please don't put anchoivies on them, it doesn't go well with ham and pepperoni, just to much distinct flavours. Also the anchoivies smell not good. Not like they weren't fresh, but the smell was very strong. The starters are really good, except they didn't have fried mozzarella when I visited it. After all, a good place, it's just about the time and a n c h o i v i e s.

Our go to food establishment for celebrations. Enjoyed a 70th birthday Sunday lunch with a group of visually impaired and disabled friends. The manager was superb and got us seated quickly even though the pub was expecting a hoard of netballers! The food, as always, was superb and served very promptly. We were extremely grateful that the mix up with our discount voucher was speedily rectified. We LOVE the Briars.

I have been coming with my dad for over five years. Excellent friendly staff. Great food. And the lady in charge. Not the manager. But the lady in charge she is amazing credit to the pub. We have the same thing every week. And today she had the drinks ready, as she saw us walk through the door. Thanks again for a great service at a great price.

Comfort Food with a Side of “Could’ve Been Better” Tucked away in Kettering’s quieter corners, The Briars is your quintessential English pub, low-key, warm, and inviting without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place you’d instinctively drift into on a drizzly Tuesday, which is exactly what we did. Atmosphere The vibe inside was mellow, with no noisy crowds, no blaring music, just the hum of casual conversation and the clink of cutlery. It’s a relaxed setting, perfect for a midweek family bite. Food We ordered a few pub staples, nothing ambitious, but done right. The kids’ meal came as chicken dippers with waffles and corn on the cob, a classic combo that went down well. As for the adults, I went for the Honey Clucker Chicken Burger, a crispy chicken fillet glazed in sweet honey, served in a decent bun with the usual trimmings. The flavour was solid, no fireworks, but hearty and satisfying. Portion sizes were good, and everything came out hot. Service Now for the elephant in the room, the service. While the bar staff were pleasant enough, there was a bit of a sting when we realised, after ordering and paying, that kids eat for £1 Monday to Friday. Since it was Tuesday, this should’ve been flagged. Instead, we were charged full price. It’s a small thing, but in hospitality, these details matter. It left a bit of a bad taste, and not the edible kind. Verdict Would I go back? Yes, the food hits the mark, and the venue is peaceful and family-friendly. But a little more attentiveness from the staff could easily turn a good meal into a great experience.

The food at the Briars as turned from a cheap convenience meal to a pleasurable experience, the food comes well cooked and presented, A clear sign that the current chefs enjoy there job and want to please the customers. The staff both in the evening and lunch time always greet you with a smile . A great front of house experience. This is a reflection of the management team , who are both concerned that everything is ok with the food , drink and service that you receive. A real pleasurable place to go now keep it up.

Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. Very accommodating 12 of us dining and all food hot and out at the same time. Drink very reasonable too. We live in Donegal and always make time for a visit here when we are over.

We have been here 3 times recently, one of our party has mobility problems and The Briers is fairly accessible (there are three small steps up to the main dining area) Each time the meal has been lovely and the staff friendly. It does get busy at times, so book up if you can.

Great local pub with good atmosphere snd good food. Staff are amazing and go that extra mile to keep customers happy. Ali in particular works her socks off and is always friendly and has a great attitude.

Sadly, this Thai restaurant, our favourite, is closing on 24 Feb. It’s a sad day as we have loved every meal we’ve had here. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We’ll miss it. If you plan to attend before it closes, have the chili fried fish (37a on the menu) for a treat.

Beautiful, bloody beautiful. We had some starters and a selection of mains and I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The flavours are lovely. The ribs are a starter are great too, while they looked slightly dry, dont be put off, theyre very juicy

Collected order (first time) and I was impressed! Good vegan options, loved the bean curd and mix vegetables. The veg Massaman curry was the star!!! Absolutely delicious plus better than the ones I have tried in London. Friendly service too.

Thought restaurant had gone down hill to previous visits. Service was rushed. Food was generally good but found hair in one dish. Got an apology but no offer of amends or free drink. Wasn't offered dessert or asked uf we wanted extra drinks after meal.

This little Thai family run restaurant was recommended by a friend. We are foodies, and were delighted to find the recommendation a good one. Very friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, good efficient service and delicious authentic food. Tim yum soup excellent, though it was hot enough to make my eyes water, the balance of spice and chilly was perfect and the meat was tender. Same for pNang curry, duck in plum sauce, and beef with basil. Fish for our vegetarian companion was perfectly cooked, and we'll presented. Pad Thai dish was fragrant and plentiful. Good value for money. Happy to go there again.

Beautiful food. We turned up without a reservation. It was very busy but they were very helpful in accommodating us. Had the dim sum, Tom yam, massaman and jungle curry. All were superb, but please be aware the jungle curry is hot! Lovely homely place, can't wait to go back again

Went to Tong Tai on 10/08/21, with my family. A very nice family run restaurant with some great food...but that's where the positives end. Service was very poor, our starters took about twenty minutes to arrive only to be missing a dish which took another five/ten minutes to arrive. We had to ask for the original starters to be taken away in order to be kept warm. On top of this drinks were cleared off the table before we'd finished. I'm afraid it's gonna be a while before we even consider coming back here.

O first entering we was created and sat down. Generally the restaurant was nice looked clean, Unfortunately this was not the case for the male toilets which had obviously not been scrubbed clean for some time especially the tiles. Food was cooked fast and very nice. Unfortunately the toilets let the whole experience down.

Revisiting my review for this Nando’s and adding some photographs as well. I’ve come here so many times over the years with friends and family. We typically come for an evening meal, but sometimes it’s a lunchtime job. Much quieter during lunch hours and quicker service. A 20-25 min wait for a table is not uncommon in the evenings, but not surprising! Sometimes there are issues with the menu, I get the same spice/chicken/side every meal so it can cause a problem when something isn’t in stock! 8 times out of 10, everything is fine. It’s nice to see familiar faces working sometimes, although it seems turnover is quite high here unfortunately. Overall, a lovely restaurant I do enjoy attending.

First Nando's visit in a long time and not impressed. Food arrived relatively quickly but the size of my quarter chicken piece was very disappointing. Chickens seem to have shrunk while the pricess have not! I asked for a replacement but was told there isn't any. No offer to remedy the situation...was a "computer says No" scenario. *shoulder shrug* The two drinks I ordered did not arrive either so I had to go find someone who then had to check multiple screens to verify before bringing my drinks. This is NOT how I remember Nando's. The bit of chicken I had tasted good though, pity there was so little of it. Rice and garlic bread as expected.

The staff was joking and having a laugh between themselves while waiting for the drinks and obviously the food will come after. When I asked the waiter where my drinks were he found it on the spike which meant it was already served. As I was approaching the door he shouted out there is no reason to be rude? Confused by his response I returned the drinks untouched and left. I will definitely not come here again.

Excellent family meal today at Nando’s Kettering, first time we have ever been into one, the staff in that place are great, seems they actually enjoy their job! The food was hot, good portion sizes, great chicken, boneless thighs for me was great 👍🏻 free water from the machine with ice dispenser, drinks I.E cans of coke, Fanta and sprite priced very reasonable, nice spacious restaurant, clean toilets. 5 ⭐️ from us lot…well done

I visited this Nandos in 2017 for lunch. It took forever for my food to come though the restaurant was half empty. Other customers were similarly disgruntled by the looks on their faces. I have visited about five times since then in the last four years and there has been no improvement. First, the restaurant is too small to meet demand. The staff are disorganised and clearly stretched. There aren't enough staff. The atmosphere is crowded and noisy. There is often a 20-25 minute wait for a table and after that expect another 30-40 minutes to get your food. It is the worst Nandos I have been to out of probably 12 different ones visited mainly in London. So I feel experienced enough to comment. These restaurants do vary a bit, but the Kettering one is so bad I would forget about visiting it. Corby is like the Ritz compared to this dump. Close this and start again on a bigger site, build it new, the business has enough money, with better kitchen, more staff and a NEW MANAGEMENT.

CANNOT and WILL NEVER recommend them to ANYONE ever again! And I'll make sure to tell EVERYONE I know to never use them again too! Have been using them for over 30 years, as I like to be loyal, and have never been anything but polite and respectful to them. Wife ordered food one night only to be charged twice due to a system error. Went to the shop and told the boss, only to be told by him and his son either my wife is a liar or basically stupid and its her fault. Popped in there tonight to get her some chips only to be told we are not welcome in there anymore. GOOD! Stick your overpriced, bang average food where the sun doesn't shine guys! It's not like we are short of kebab shops in this town! P.S. sorry to the other 2 guys in there. You are decent blokes and I wish you the best.

Ordered chicken Shish from here, it arrived cold and had a very odd taste. Also only got 3 very small pieces of chicken for £9!! Rang up and asked for it to be refunded and we would return the food only to be met with the rudest man ever. Saying it was our fault for having sauce on it!! They refused to fix this issue and we were left with inedible food. Will NEVER order from here again!!!!

Been feeling ill and a little worn down. The wife says 'go on lad, get a kebab in you' usually go to Boston Diners (wish I did) but saw Sultans now doing delivery. Paid online and asked for salad and sauce separate. What turned up was a pile of mush wrapped in a bag. Literally swimming in garlic yoghurt. In the bin it went, what a waste of £15. Good news is I'll never go back.

Found this place on Google I wanted to try as looked different to anything else my teenage daughter wasn't keen. We got here greated by very friendly staff who checked if been before then explained how they worked and where the loos where. They are dressed in uniform to match the theme done very well. The decision is wonderful rather relaxing and comfy seats. Was very good deals on we got my daughter meals for £1 with my adult main which helps in these hard times. The food is beautiful my burger was massive but cooked perfectly very tasty good quality ingredients. Pudding was also the same perfect. Now the people who work here do so much more than just a bar job they have fantastic knowledge and facts about Dinosaurs I won't say too much more it's very interactive so if you have any fans they will be in heaven and kept busy there's even fossil display in sand so bring your digging tools! This is completely different to any place I've ever eaten its been done so well. Callum was a total star today they also have interactive props which come round the tables. Personally I think this place is a total gem great for family's very interactive. Friendly staff who made sure everything was OK and clearly all well trained with the amount of facts and information they had

The food was really good - I had the light meal chicken burger and chips, which were crispy and tasty. The deep fried comets for dessert were amazing, highly recommend these!! What we didn't expect was some fossils to be brought out and for them to be explained to us - amazing interactivity with customers even though we are adults with no children, it was brilliant! Very fun and friendly atmosphere, thank you to Nicki and Tom (? Can't remember if that was your name haha) for the experience :))

This is such a quaint place and has a great atmosphere, Place looks amazing on the inside with the place looking like a jungle and there are Dinosaurs around the place, has a small little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, t-shirts, Hoodies and Dinosaur related merchandise. The general manager is a wholesome Lady who had time to speak and show my son fossils and interact with him throughout our meal, same as the rest of The staff. ( we reserved a table with a highchair included and was setup before we even got there) great customer service 👍 Food was amazing, came to us in a timely manner and the presentation was brilliant. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be going back soon

Really good experience for a first visit. The food was spot on and the staff were brilliant in looking after us especially with 3 over excited young lads. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back for more. The meatorite burger is something special for sure.

There was 12 of us that came yesterday for my daughters third Birthday and I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was lovely and the staff were absolutely amazing and sooo friendly. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. They made the whole experience really enjoyable and my daughter absolutely loved it.

This is a great place to come and eat if you’ve got young children and they love dinosaurs!! The decor throughout is dinosaur themed and done to a high standard. There are lots dinosaur statues that the children can get up close to for pictures, no matter where you sit. The biggest problem you’ll have with younger kids is keeping them sat at the table and not wandering over to other tables to see more dinosaurs. As well as the statues throughout, the waiters and waitresses will come round with dinosaur puppets and interact with your table, which is a nice addition. There’s also a small shop at the entrance where you can buy Jurassic Grill merchandise. The food was OK, the big selling point here is the dinosaur theme. I’d also make sure you book even if there are only a few of you, as it does get busy and as we left families who hadn’t booked were being turned away. Not booking could lead to some disappointed little ones.

Visited on Saturday 22nd March as i had completed a review on the Raja next door. Parking can be busy but i parked in Sainsburys car park and walked over. The restaurant was full with a Birthday celebration when we arrived but we were quickly seated into a booth. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. We opted for some poppadoms to start whilst we looked at the menu. The menu has plenty of choice to suit everyone and has many dishes to choose from. We opted for chicken Vindaloo, chicken balti, chicken korma, keema rice, mushroom rice, onion bhajee and keem naan. I have to say straight away, when i order a vindaloo i expect it to be spicy and have potato in the dish, very disappointing, it was milder than the korma and no potato and very small portion. The chicken Balti was okay, but no peppers? The korma was okay, and the keema rice not too good either, but to send out a vindaloo that isnt even spicy and no potato was the killer for me. So the search for a really good Indian restaurant continues. Just a note, the poppadoms, onions and sauces they send out had the root of 2 onions in! Overall though, the dishes were cooked very well and the spices were lovely and i would come back to give it another go because on the night they were extremely busy.

Absolutely outstanding service tonight. Don’t even know where to begin. The long and short of it was I chose a dish (Maktaj) and was worried about it being too spicy. It arrived and was slightly hotter than I anticipated and it was removed immediately and replaced without the spice as promised when I placed the order.. the best curry I’ve had there and will order the same again next time.. attentive, fast service, informative and goes above and beyond to please their customers. Thank you for a wonderful evening and fantastic food. Both our dishes were perfect and we’ll be back soon 🤗

What an outstanding curry! As a lad who grew up near Bradford, surrounded by arguably some of the best curries around, so very picky indeed when it comes to Indian food, this was my first curry after moving down to Kettering a few months back. I genuinely couldn’t be happier, and it’s just round the corner from my house! Staff were excellent, very accommodating and again, the food was amazing. Can taste the fresh ingredients and these chaps know what they’re doing and we had a cracking meal after a day at the races! And my personal favourite, was the Kulfi - really tasting a good palette cleanser. Good work boys, I’ll certainly be back and be joining you regularly! Thanks for a really good end to my day!

This review is for a order that was delivered by the restaurant . I had 2 wonderful chicken dishes and lovely soft butter naans delivered by this restaurant. The staff member with whom I placed the order on the phone was very polite and informative . The meal was also great value. Fantastic overall . I have also had the benefit of eating at this restaurant in sept 2023. Great decor, lovely comfortable seating , friendly staff with great attention placed on the customers needs . I had the 16.95 set meal which is fantastic value for money . The also had kingfisher beer on tap which was delicious. From the poppadoms to the Naga chicken jalfrezi and aloo paratha everything was perfect ... Thanks once again to the team at this great restaurant I've just had a delivery done and the starters.. sheekh kebabs, chicken mains, aloo paratha were all fantastic .. great taste and quality . And a big thank you for Jay for making me a brilliant salad and delivering it . Totally 10 out of 10 I will definately be booking your restaurant for events and recommending to others. Had reason to be in Kettering today with and hour or so free and called this place to see if it had a garden and we could bring our dog. I have to say the staff were really helpful, really friendly, and when we arrived the pub is really nice. Not only that, I have to say the food was really, really good. That pizza we had today was better than all the pizza places I’ve been to, as good as any Italian restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks to the team there today we felt very welcome.

Went for mother's day and it was amazing! Obviously they only had the Sunday menu but the roast dinner was fantastic. Being a picky eater, I ordered a kids mac and cheese and it was huge! I ordered 2 thinking they'd be tiny and I ended up having to take the second one home! Staff were amazing and super helpful! Highly recommend!

A great place, used as my local for many years, moved away and now drop in for food occasionally. The new owners have put in fresh food with one hell of a selection. The beers are well kept. Sunday carvery looks amazing but haven't had the time to sit and try it yet.

Beautifully presented pub! Really nice feel to it. Love the effort in the coffee with the Bee! Haven't had the chance to eat here yet but the prices seem to be slightly on the high side, £3.20 for a small-ish coffee is a little on the high side but makes a nice place to sit 🙂 Outdoor seating space seems perfect for those sunny days.

A nice friendly pub, quite big inside. Roast dinner below average. Meat a bit tough and bland apart from that it's okay. Nothing to write home about. On thw others hand, the meals that weren't roast dinners looked lovely!

It was a quick visit to the Stirrup cup to catch up with friends. The pub was buzzing with a busy atmosphere, there was an England game on the TV which probably added to the numbers. There is a great selection of drinks, however they are a bit more pricey than the local average. The staff are very friendly. The food looked excellent but as I did not order food I’m unable to offer an opinion but I think it’s worth another visit. Overall this is a lively interesting place with a good atmosphere and it’s worth a visit.

Got to be the best fish and chips in town, chips are beautiful and fish tastes amazing and crispy even when delivered which has been an issue with other chip shops.

I don't normally use chip shops, even though I live over the road from Nick's, but from all my years of buying fish and chips etc, I can honestly say this is one of the very best. The large cod, chips, sausage, curry sauce and mushy pees were all top quality and lots of care into packaging. Would love to see a spicy version of their curry sauce and a super spicy onion, but only as I am a spice addict. Every part was cooked to a very high quality, couldn't be better, seriously, as we're talking restaurant quality food, above your average fast food.

Ordered for delivery via Uber eats, had the jacket potato with chilli and cheese. Smallish jacket with miserly portion of chilli. Sour cream , sour crout and salad all unwanted and in the bin, no option in menu to decline the unwanted stuff. Other alternatives for this item unselectable.

There is no other place to get a breakfast as well as the burgers, they are a huge hit. Their variety of coffees, hot chocolates, teas and milkshakes are incredible. Every visit is always so welcoming and has a homely feel to it. I have never had a problem sitting in or ordering take out on the app. The coffee is first class and the atmosphere is just perfect!

I'd been hiking for a few hours and really wanted a coffee. I'm not from the area so came in here on the off-chance. My sons burger burnt and missing chips. Doner wrap, we asked for no salad in it, came with salad. Honestly everything wrong, cold, not tasty food at all. I spent nearly £50 on food, no one ate it. Waste of money and time!!! Never order again from them. OWNER REPLY!! Cook for your family??? That's said all about the professionalism and rudeness of the owner!!! Only disappointed I didn’t come here before! The owner is super nice, very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his business and what he does. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fantastic and very reasonably priced. These guys have a fantastic menu and I can’t wait to come back to try more!! There is parking at the rear and if you eat there they will even pay your parking! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The quality and quantity of food here is fantastic and great value for money. But the reason you should use Ocean Bay is because the staff are brilliant, they absolutely understand how to deliver amazing customer service. I had a gluten free request in my order and they took care to package it separately, but also then talked to be about the vinegar that could be used. I ordered online for collection and thought them getting me to double check the order when I arrived was good as I’d forgotten the peas! The woman I was speaking to (sorry, didn’t catch her name) was so helpful and friendly, an absolute credit to Ocean Bay. Thank you for a wonderful service.

Best fish and chip shop in Kettering and one of the best in the country. There can be a line outside especially on Fridays which may put people off but the wait is certainly worth it. That is also a good sign for the ongoing popularity locally. Card and cash payments accepted. Staff are always friendly and courteous. There is a small inside area to wait whilst your order is prepared. Prices are reasonable and whilst they have risen recently with the ongoing cost in living they remain reasonable and competitive. No dedicated parking outside but there is a side road running adjacent for those coming by car. Children's and senior meals offered along with a small selection of drinks.

I regularly buy fish and chips from here and they really are delicious. The fish is succulent, the batter light and crispy and the chips hot and tasty. The mushy peas are a good texture . I thoroughly enjoy the food from MD’s. Service is also efficient and friendly. You should be prepared to wait at times as they cook the food fresh.

Used to be great and good value. Haven't been for some time but an urgent tea required. My son choose a chip buttie at £2.20. Stale role and about 20 chips if that. Very poor value compared to others

Celebrating a friends birthday we had lunch here today lovely food at a fantastic price and great service from the staff to. Hoping to return for their Christmas menu

I always enjoy my visits to Costa Coffee—the staff are friendly, the service is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming. A special shout-out to Irina—she’s always kind, professional, and goes the extra mile to make customers feel valued. She truly stands out and definitely deserves a promotion!

The place itself is lovely, but the staff could be more respectful. I explained my situation a few times, yet they kept repeatedly asking me about allergies and intolerances. Even after I’d answered, they brought it up again when serving me. It was stressful and took away from the experience — I couldn’t even enjoy my hot chocolate.

Why do the staff feel it's okay to close off part of the store 90 minutes before the closing time indicated on the door? It's very annoying to have staff vacuuming around you when you're trying to enjoy an afternoon cuppa.

My partner, who is from Thailand, asked if she could use the toilet. She was refused permission unless she bought a drink. My partner was very upset because she had the impression she was being discriminated against because of being Asian. It would be much better to allow members of the public to use the toilets so as to promote a user friendly atmosphere.

Always amazingly stuffy sweaty and dirty. It’s a pretty average franchised Costa coffee shop. Always a bit hit and miss on service, cleanliness and atmosphere. The plus points are that it’s open later on Sunday than the other shops (to 6 I think). Coffee is ok but not great. Food is sandwiches and toasted sandwiches Cake and coffee are what they are about really. Decor is standard Costa coffee style, so plenty of browns, greys and black but they do have big windows so not too dim.

Gossip central meanwhile that lingers in it affects the taste and flavour of the coffee it's easy to go off your food and drink in a negative environment. Such a shame to see such a great coffee location be put down by people with no lives.

Went in on Sunday the 31st August, two girls were working and i could tell one of them were being trained and was fairly new. However, the girl training her I overheard wasn’t able to get a break. Absolutely appalling that any form of management would let this happen. I hope this gets sorted and the girl gets compensated somehow

I've ate there for more than a year. I came yesterday ordered as Usual mix donner wrap and what made me suspicious about it inside was 90% of meat and just a little salad. I ate it and about 2h later I felt sick. I just want to say that was my first meal that day. Today I feel horrible my stomach is killing me.

Very good food ordered a medium pizza along with cheese burger I asked the chefs to do their choice of pizza 🍕 which I really enjoyed I will be visiting again soon

Large kebab size of small. Ordered mix got loads cabbage waffa thin lamb. Flakes of chicken. King kebab more like scam kebab

So tasty and FRESH ! We ordered our kebabs at 2100 and still - all the ingredients were so fresh.. you could tell that the vegetables have just been chopped and the meat tasted absolutely amazing! I really hope they keep this standard as for now.. this is by far the best kebab in the area! Well done!

Worst kebab ever! You can enjoy their food only if you are a drunk kid on a Saturday night and they serve you all those dry doner kebab trimmings (usually not served by other kebab shops) from almost finished skewers just to fill up the tray. Their chicken kebab is like blunt, awful. Not fresh at all. They have just turned into a Sat night kebab shop for the drunk It happened last few times I ordered. Never again!!

Can't comment on the food, but The Landlord Dean is awesome, the bands are awesome too as are the regulars, recently the venue is having a spruce up too, keep it going I say you'll be the pub music venue of the year in no time!

Really nice little pub. Friendly bar staff, happy atmosphere. It has a quaint olde worlde look, super real fire. Great choice of beers. We had a very filling ploghman's lunch and super tasty beer.

Saw a friend’s band play at the Shire Horse. Excellent atmosphere and drinks very cheap.

Super pub great atmosphere. Wood burner good choice of real ales lagers and spirits. On the Saturday night there was live entertainment too.

Popped in yesterday pm for a jacket potato but nearly plumped for the massive and gorgeous looking ploughmans. I'll do that next time when I have a bigger appetite. Beautiful log fire

Had a nice burger and fries, was well cooked and tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient. Down 1 star as the place has an 80s vibe but not in a good retro way.

The atmosphere is a bit dreary, we came for breakfast. Food is incredibly average however the price reflects that. Server was nice and helped fix multiple mistakes from the kitchen.

I was at Gospoda in Kettering for a private party, so I didn’t actually try the food, but I did get to see the place and talk to the staff. The prices seem fair and the service was really friendly – everyone was kind and helpful. The inside of the restaurant could use a bit of a refresh though – it feels like it needs a little update. BIG free car park 👍 I hope I get a chance to come back soon and try the food. Maybe then I’ll update my review!

The food and service were impeccable. The waitress was very nice and polite. Unfortunately, when entering the premises, you can smell the characteristic smell of mold. After the meal and leaving this place, it turned out that both my clothes and hair smelled of mold. It's a pity, because the food is really tasty 😞

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Kettering, mainly as it serves one of my husband's favorite dishes, steak tartar at a very reasonable price. We both like their soups, which includes a beet soup, and also traditional zurek (rye) soup. Main selections are plentiful, with mainly pork, chicken, and vegetarian dishes (their mushroom dishes are very good). My favorite dish is a chicken noodle pasta dish, flavoured with fresh dill, and served with mushrooms within. Highly recommend.

They speak English 👍🏻 very polite easy to find very clean. The food is to die for amazing quality huge portions and 100% authentic. I had the potatoe pancakes with pork goulash ate every bite and the house smells beautiful. Very reasonable price wise as well absolutely perfect

I came here for lunch for the first time today, it was a lovely quiet atmosphere, the staff are really lovely and attentive. We had a latte each, sour rye soup, chicken soup and ruskie pierogi with sour cream, really fantastic! 😍 We'll be back again definitely

Food always great, Kung Po Chicken is always slightly different every time so obviously being made instinctively rather than mass produced base. Always great though! Driver is always very cheerful.

Chose a different Chinese take away as our usual one let us down very badly found this. What can I say food was great quick to cook piping hot when I got home really tasty food good value for the money infact ordered too much so freezing for another day

If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited for hour and 15 mins to be told that most customers understand and my food will be another 30 mins nearly 2 hours after i asked what's taking so long. Wasn't told the waiting time. Bad attitude. I cancelled my order. The lady put the phone down to call me back saying that the food is on its way but now has came back. Made no sense considering I cancel my order and the conversation was over. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

I only ordered a pancake roll thankfully. But they weren't happy that was all I ordered. As if they thought I should be eating more. Very rude and pancake roll was dried up and clearly microwaved with not a spec of grease in the paper bag it came in. When I rang up to complain they swore it had just come out of the fryer. Yeah right. Needless to say I wont be going back.

Best little cafe in Kettering tried the breakfast with no pork sausage and bacon and it was better than the pork ones without a doubt staff always smiling and always on point even the bubba loves the chicken sausages portions are a decent size best you’d get in town

I’m really happy to have ISE Food Court as my neighbour! Every time I go there, they make me feel very welcome. The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are great for the quality you get. Honestly, this is the best takeaway I’ve had; the menu is diverse, the food is prepared with so much care, and you can tell they put extra attention and ingredients into it. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The food is always pipping hot, and very tasty. We order food regularly from Ise Food Court. The food is reasonably priced. Service is good and ypu are always met with a friendly face and smile. Delivery of food is always prompt however at busy times you can be waiting for up to an hour.

This is our go to place for Kebabs and Pizzas. Both are wonderful. The kebabs are the jewel in their crown. So delicious, full of flavour and free of the grease they are swimming in from some places. Absolutely first class!

I regularly order from here but I will never again…. Ok so I received my order tonight nearly 45 minutes late I received the wrong milkshake to make it worse the milkshake had nuts in giving being I have a allergy to nuts I was furious to make it even worse the kebab and chips has some sort of clear plastic inside how can something like this happen in a place that serves food you could kill somebody

This restaurant has improved so much in the year or so that I last ordered from them. I really enjoy your burgers beef and chicken. The dirty fries with hot cheese sauce are amazing

Pre-ordered at 6 for 8:15-8:45pm they then call me at about 8:11pm saying they have no kebab so i said thats okay i will cancel the order. I then proceeded to try but couldn’t as uber was not working. I called zizou asking if they could cancel the order (i know they could because i work with customer service and i know uber eats) they then proceeded to say give me a second and hung up on me. One hour later i call again because now it says my food is coming and they are telling me they cant do the order so i have to cancel, once again i asked if they could cancel they said i would have to speak with uber customer service. I dont like to complain but this time it really got me. First and last time ordering online from zizou.

Amazing place with some of the best chicken i’ve had but the food does take a little bit to be served and the location puts it down a bit as it is a loud area but i highly recommend it such an underrated place. Hidden gem!

Ordered food at 15:30 for 16:00-16:30 over an hr later still no food. Tried to call the store phones offline. Tried to cancel via uber wouldnt connect.

Carbonara was really nice! Creamy cooked fresh and lovely service and in a calming quirky area. The only downside is the price- the price on the board that is advertised outside is incorrect and is almost double the price.

I came back here with my wife after 4 years and it is still one of the coolest and most atmospheric places in this city. The food was of course fantastic (as last time), the portions are really big and you can make them even bigger for a small extra charge, and the beer perfectly complemented the diet ;) . I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well!

Absolutely lovely guy running the business. Opened up on Father’s Day just for our family, such a kind gesture. On arrival he made us some gorgeous platters and mains which were flavourful and satiating with some incredible customer service. Very friendly, went above and beyond. Had to grab some more this evening with it being so tasty and reasonably priced. 5 stars !
