Telford Lodge Brewers Fayre is a delightful family-friendly pub and restaurant located in Northamptonshire, perfect for those seeking a relaxed dining experience. Went here for dinner as I couldn’t be bothered to cook. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. We ordered a smothered chicken and mixed grill with pepper sauce. Both meals were thoroughly enjoyed. Cooked perfectly and definitely hit the spot.
Kristie was a standout member of staff, service with a smile while professional at the same time. Will definitely be going again soon.

An evening meal that deserves a 5 star review. Wasn't sure what to expect but this Brewers Fayre delivers a good experience, nice friendly staff, and a good atmosphere.
Food: Easy ordering at the bar, no delays in food being bought to the table. We ordered the Haddock and Chips and Smothered Platter. Hot food, nicely presented, if any criticism it would be that the steak was a little chewy and mushy peas a bit overcooked but everything else really nicely cooked.
The deserts were really good and coffee and teas refillable, that was a pleasant surprise.
Service: The staff are very friendly and efficient, our waitress pointed out what was not on the menu and details about the deserts. Table was cleared promptly between courses.
The restaurant was busy but the service remained efficient.
The restaurant and bar reminded me of an old fashioned pub, good food, good drink and a good atmosphere.
Telford Lodge Brewers Fayre is a spacious pub/restaurant with a soft play area that’s handy for families with toddlers. It’s located right next to Premier Inn and just a short drive from Wicksteed Park, with the added bonus of free parking for up to 3 hours (make sure to register your number plate using the tablet provided inside).
There’s plenty of seating and the space can easily accommodate large groups, which makes it good for family meetups or casual get-togethers. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. While the prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are quite small and the quality is mediocre at best. Food was served quickly and the kids’ meal was the best, good selection so kids enjoyed it.
The interior of the pub feels quite dated and could really benefit from a thorough clean and a modern update. Tables and chairs are old and need changing. The overall vibe was more tired than cosy. The soft play area is a nice touch for little ones, but overall, the place feels like it’s in need of some serious attention.
It’s okay for a quick stop if you're staying nearby, but definitely not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again.
I had both dinner and breakfast during my stay.
- Breakfast was good — hot, fresh, and enjoyable. I particularly liked the fried eggs and coffee. It was a standard but satisfying breakfast.
- Dinner was less impressive. I ordered a burger and chips for £14, which is a reasonable price, but the chips had a fishy smell, and even the fork seemed to carry the same odour, which made the experience unpleasant.
Also, there was no table service — you have to order at the bar, which I’m not really a fan of. On the positive side, the burger itself was tasty.
Overall, breakfast was enjoyable, but dinner could definitely be improved.
Very friendly staff. Popped in for lunch with my grandad before his hospital appointment and the lady server Elise was very friendly and was very attentive bless her. The man at the carvery called Adam (I think) was very pleasant. Helped my grandad with his portion size. Lovely friendly staff and the food was decent.
Regularly come for the buffet breakfast. Friendly staff (Gail's great), food is good value and the coffee's decent. Some places have jugs of instant but they've proper machines here. Now, if only they improved the WiFi I might come twice a week instead :)
Lastly, you can't beat the kids eating free. Amazing value for money, especially during the holidays. My son loves the soft play centre.
Went for breakfast but the food was cold literally not even warm, I asked a staff member if the hot try was working as food was cold and was told it's because it's a cold day and when the door is opened it blows through. I decided to have the continental breakfast very reluctantly, I was asked if I wanted it put in microwave but declined. A short while later a staff member came up to me and said what she had told me was right but also the light on hot plate was of so yes it was cold, to be honest I thought it was good for her to tell me. Was only charged for continental for me and my 3 guests but even though they changed the hot plate then food was hot but by then I had filled up on toast so was totally gutted.
The pub was nice, food was good. Most of the staff were lovely. A couple of them thought it was OK to swear (not at us but within general chatting...)
We held a wake there the following day. The food was good and plenty of it for the package we ordered. They were very accommodating to our needs.

Miller & Carter Kettering is a delightful destination for steak lovers, renowned for its exceptional British and Irish beef steaks that are aged to perfection for 30 days. This award-winning steakhouse not only excels in meat but also offers a tempting selection of seafood, with grilled sea bass fillets being a standout dish. Vegetarians will find plenty of delicious options as well, complemented by an impressive array of desserts.
We were treated very nicely and the food was really good, great atmosphere and I couldn’t stop eating what they got me it, it was that good!! And to make the mood better they have really great music on to give you the vibe you need.
We were assisted by a really kind and nice staff Andrea who was an absolute pleasure!

It was our first time visiting Miller & Carter Steakhouse and wow were we not disappointed.
Service was brilliant with Andrea as our table server; she took our drink and food orders quickly and efficiently, consistently asked if we needed anything during our meal, and was incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly.
The food was utterly delicious and worth every penny.
Will definitely go again.

Food was generally amazing. Waiting time was around an hour and half so was a while but apart from the staff were lovely and definitely will be going back again.
Experience was great. Been a while since ive been to this location as prevously had several small issues with food so tended to visit the Northampton branch instead. However it seems to be much better now. Shout out to Andrea, she was very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating.
This is not the first visit to Miller & Carter , but it’s usually a very special experience. Lucy - our waitress has been extremely friendly, helpful and very professional as usual (she has been serving us couple of times before).
Not a complaint, but almost all dishes were unsalted this time and one side were twice bigger than the same second portion. But it’s just a small bits and as I said before it’s a lovely place with lovely staff and gorgeous food, so highly recommend to everyone 🖤
Our experience was lovely. We were sat at our table swiftly and our food and drinks were everywhere so tasty and came quite promptly! The topping of it was that our waitress Andrea was absolutely amazing and engaging and made the experience even better. (Thank you for dealing with a fickle customer like me so kindly!)

The food...oh my...was what we've come to expect from M&C, sooooo good, and prepared consistently perfect. This was our first time at the Kettering store, and we'll be back soon!
Amelie was amazing. Very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. One of the steaks had grizzle and she sorted that out straight away for us. Fabulous service from ameile. 100% would come back!!

Nestled in Kettering, The Exotic Dining stands out as a premier Indian restaurant that elevates the dining experience with its meticulous attention to detail. This is my favourite Indian place, it has delicious food, amazing service, the staff are always so kind, lots of selection of dishes, but also a great range in prices so if you go out with friends you can choose to splurge or go for an affordable option and either way you’ll leave having had a wonderful meal.
I’ve actually been to this place multiple times and ordered from it many times as well but kept forgetting to review it. Cannot rate it higher a must go if your in the east mids

I'd actually give them 3.5 stars. Visited with friends a few weeks ago. Warm welcome and social distancing in place. It took quite a while until our food arrived. Food was good to be fair. The potato skins, tikka, rice and chhole were excellent. The chicken curry and naan was average. They didn't have dessert options. In the end, when we wanted to split the bill amongst us 6 we were asked if we could split it among 3 since otherwise the restaurant would have to pay for the transaction. I have never had this issue before. P.S we did the calculations and calculated to the nearest decimal only to be rudely reminded we paid 10 pence less!!! It wasn't our job to sort the bill in the first place.
So I'd say 3.5 stars for food, 1.5 stars for service
Myself, friends and family have actually been to this place multiple times but kept forgetting to review it. Cannot rate it higher, a must go to. We went on a Saturday evening.
Massive choice in dishes well presented, freshly made and full of flavours, not at all oily like some places. New dishes on the menu which were very tasty.
There are very reasonably priced choices, from inexpensive up to banquets.
Gluten free and vegan options available.

Lovely meal tonight and particularly good to see a vegan section on the menu too. I think it could have been a little hotter (spicy) for my taste but still really enjoyed it. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Pricing not too bad and especially good value with the current eat out to help out campaign.

My second restaurant I visited whilst on business in Kettering.
My honest review is that this Chef and their team enjoy what they cook for the diner and this is seen in the quality of the food produced.
I had and would recommend the Chana Masala with green chilli, Tandoori Mix (exceptional), Tandoori Roti and Pilau rice.
The Chana was flavoursome.
The Mix Grill was amazing with the authentic charcoal taste.
It was that good I had to bring some of it home for my sister to taste.
Totally brilliant. Good service and a very extensive menu that is well laid out if you need special diets. Food arrived for everyone at the same time which is good for our large party. The meals were all fantastic and actually caused all conversation to stop. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their chosen and very tasty dish. The portions were spot on.

As described in another review this is a very eclectic place, both the decorations and the food. And honestly the clientele as well. Singles, couples, and families.
The menu food ranges from American to Mexican, Sri Lankan, Korean, Mediterranean and all sorts of breakfast.
Drinks likewise cover a wide range of traditional and very creative.
Really enjoyable, casual locations to have a meal.
And a pleasant surprise, the QR Code ordering worked even with my US phone number and email.
We enjoyed our lunch at Kino Lounge. My only slight criticism is that we asked for extra spicy, which amounted to a few extra chopped chillies being thrown on the top. It would’ve been nicer if these had been cooked into the food. Service was very good though and plenty of options on the menu.
Nice vegan menu and the atmosphere is as well quite friendly and nice. Very open space. You don't have table service but you can order with an app or at the bar and they will bring you the food
Kino feels like one of the trendiest places in Kettering — and in a small town with limited options, it really stands out. The interior design is beautiful, modern yet inviting, and it sets the perfect atmosphere for a night out.
We tried a few of their cocktails and they were lovely, well-balanced and thoughtfully presented. We also ordered a few small bites, which were tasty and complemented the drinks nicely.
If you’re looking for something a bit more stylish and fancy in Kettering, Kino is definitely the place to go.

Always a great place to visit no matter the time of day. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The decor is what you'd expect from a lounge, there's always something new and curious to look at! Food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Full of people meeting friends, writing books, working or just enjoying a good meal by themselves.

Sadly, this Thai restaurant, our favourite, is closing on 24 Feb. It’s a sad day as we have loved every meal we’ve had here. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We’ll miss it. If you plan to attend before it closes, have the chili fried fish (37a on the menu) for a treat.
Beautiful, bloody beautiful. We had some starters and a selection of mains and I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The flavours are lovely. The ribs are a starter are great too, while they looked slightly dry, dont be put off, theyre very juicy
Collected order (first time) and I was impressed! Good vegan options, loved the bean curd and mix vegetables. The veg Massaman curry was the star!!! Absolutely delicious plus better than the ones I have tried in London. Friendly service too.
Thought restaurant had gone down hill to previous visits. Service was rushed. Food was generally good but found hair in one dish. Got an apology but no offer of amends or free drink. Wasn't offered dessert or asked uf we wanted extra drinks after meal.
This little Thai family run restaurant was recommended by a friend. We are foodies, and were delighted to find the recommendation a good one. Very friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, good efficient service and delicious authentic food. Tim yum soup excellent, though it was hot enough to make my eyes water, the balance of spice and chilly was perfect and the meat was tender. Same for pNang curry, duck in plum sauce, and beef with basil. Fish for our vegetarian companion was perfectly cooked, and we'll presented. Pad Thai dish was fragrant and plentiful. Good value for money. Happy to go there again.
Beautiful food. We turned up without a reservation. It was very busy but they were very helpful in accommodating us. Had the dim sum, Tom yam, massaman and jungle curry. All were superb, but please be aware the jungle curry is hot! Lovely homely place, can't wait to go back again
Went to Tong Tai on 10/08/21, with my family. A very nice family run restaurant with some great food...but that's where the positives end. Service was very poor, our starters took about twenty minutes to arrive only to be missing a dish which took another five/ten minutes to arrive. We had to ask for the original starters to be taken away in order to be kept warm. On top of this drinks were cleared off the table before we'd finished.
I'm afraid it's gonna be a while before we even consider coming back here.

Found this place on Google I wanted to try as looked different to anything else my teenage daughter wasn't keen. We got here greated by very friendly staff who checked if been before then explained how they worked and where the loos where. They are dressed in uniform to match the theme done very well. The decision is wonderful rather relaxing and comfy seats. Was very good deals on we got my daughter meals for £1 with my adult main which helps in these hard times. The food is beautiful my burger was massive but cooked perfectly very tasty good quality ingredients. Pudding was also the same perfect. Now the people who work here do so much more than just a bar job they have fantastic knowledge and facts about Dinosaurs I won't say too much more it's very interactive so if you have any fans they will be in heaven and kept busy there's even fossil display in sand so bring your digging tools!
This is completely different to any place I've ever eaten its been done so well. Callum was a total star today they also have interactive props which come round the tables. Personally I think this place is a total gem great for family's very interactive. Friendly staff who made sure everything was OK and clearly all well trained with the amount of facts and information they had
The food was really good - I had the light meal chicken burger and chips, which were crispy and tasty. The deep fried comets for dessert were amazing, highly recommend these!! What we didn't expect was some fossils to be brought out and for them to be explained to us - amazing interactivity with customers even though we are adults with no children, it was brilliant! Very fun and friendly atmosphere, thank you to Nicki and Tom (? Can't remember if that was your name haha) for the experience :))
This is such a quaint place and has a great atmosphere,
Place looks amazing on the inside with the place looking like a jungle and there are Dinosaurs around the place, has a small little gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, t-shirts, Hoodies and Dinosaur related merchandise.
The general manager is a wholesome Lady who had time to speak and show my son fossils and interact with him throughout our meal, same as the rest of The staff. ( we reserved a table with a highchair included and was setup before we even got there) great customer service 👍

Really good experience for a first visit. The food was spot on and the staff were brilliant in looking after us especially with 3 over excited young lads. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back for more. The meatorite burger is something special for sure.
There was 12 of us that came yesterday for my daughters third Birthday and I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was lovely and the staff were absolutely amazing and sooo friendly. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. They made the whole experience really enjoyable and my daughter absolutely loved it.
This is a great place to come and eat if you’ve got young children and they love dinosaurs!!
The decor throughout is dinosaur themed and done to a high standard. There are lots dinosaur statues that the children can get up close to for pictures, no matter where you sit. The biggest problem you’ll have with younger kids is keeping them sat at the table and not wandering over to other tables to see more dinosaurs. As well as the statues throughout, the waiters and waitresses will come round with dinosaur puppets and interact with your table, which is a nice addition. There’s also a small shop at the entrance where you can buy Jurassic Grill merchandise.
The food was OK, the big selling point here is the dinosaur theme. I’d also make sure you book even if there are only a few of you, as it does get busy and as we left families who hadn’t booked were being turned away. Not booking could lead to some disappointed little ones.

We visited Mexican Fire Garden last night for my partners birthday. The customer service from booking the table to the incredible service we received on the night was second to none. They hosted 21 of us and the food served in great time. Everyone loved their dinners and we couldn’t fault any part of the evening (I definitely recommend the Enchiladas). What a little gem of a place- we will all be returning! ✨❤️
We booked for a Birthday party of 9 - the booking process was very quick and there was a deposit of £5 per person - there are also options to walk in as well but all smooth and easy and prepared for us to sit down straight away!
The atmosphere is amazing and the service is wonderful - the server who I'm assuming is also the owner (apologies if incorrect) is lovely and a breath of fresh air. He was chatty, vibrant and fun and great with the kids we had at the table.
The decoration and theming is brilliant, and the sombreros were a fun touch! The food is absolutely amazing - The portions were quite generous and I personally think great value for money. They took extra care with our order and we couldnt have enjoyed it more. Massive compliments to the chef!!

We didn’t have high expectations but the food was delicious and tasted authentic. We ordered 3 starters (quesadilla, calamari, potato skins) plus 1 Fajita steak and chicken combination. Everything was great but my favourite was the Fajita. They are not serving alcohol but guests are free to bring their own drinks without corkage fee. They also have a separate Vegan and Gluten Free menu. Their staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our total dining experience was great. Highly recommended.
Moved to the area and heard nothing but great things about this place, visited twice now and you simply must try it. It’s hidden away but some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had.
The customer service is exceptional, the manager is extremely friendly and chatty and provides such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we have chatted both times and he’s lovely.
And the food.. 10/10. The nachos are incredible, mains are huge and absolutely delicious. Great variety and plenty of GF/Vegan options.

I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. The food was good too. The only concern was the serving guy spoke too much and was trying to crack unnecessary jokes. I went there with other foreign colleagues and the server made some unacceptable comments about their ethnicity which could have hurt someone.

Second time coming here! It’s definitely one of our fav places. Food is absolutely delicious, service from Ali is superb! He really does add to the experience. Makes you feel so welcome and so funny. We can’t wait to come back.

A fantastic place! We came for my daughter’s birthday on a Saturday and discovered the Saturday lunch menu, which is amazing value for money.

I decided to give their new Turkey Rasher Carbonara a try today and I have to say that it is perfect, the creaminess of it isn’t over the top nor too little. My friend ordered the mix Shish and said that it is spot on, in terms of tenderness and flavor.
They also do have a Shisha Lounge which is also very relaxing as they also have heaters to keep us warm when it gets cold. You’re able to watch your Shisha get made, mix and match your flavors. It’s honestly just perfect.
Special thanks to the Owners, Steve and Megan for always giving their 100%. In my opinion, this is the No.1 Restaurant in all of Kettering and would highly recommend this to anyone who has yet to try this place out.

My partner took me here for a meal to celebrate my birthday 🎂 🥳 even though I've lived in Kettering quite a few years, I'd only been there once before many years ago and didn't enjoy it.
Well, I was amazed at how much it had changed from the food quality to the service and atmosphere...I had a great time 👍🏽😊 the food portions were big and everything we ate was delicious 😋 I was also serenaded with happy birthday song by the servers with sparklers while they presented me with a big chocolate brownie (with a candle on top)! Also, the cocktails 🍸 are great 👍🏽 👍🏽
All the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
We will definitely revisit there when we plan our next dinner night out 😊
The fish was not fresh and it was over cooked to hide the smell but did not work, the fish was too dry.
As for the pasta, it tasted terrible, we only had a few mouthful, i did not enjoy the food but the environment and the waiters were great! I will not go back through because i wasted over £40 on the food that was stale and overcooked.

Went on a Monday for a late lunch, so the place was completely empty. Service was fine, chap who served us was nice.
For me personally the music was far too loud to have a relaxed lunch, the decor was pretty tacky with the chairs having these gold tipped legs, most of which had either been removed or fallen off. Then received a “complimentary salad” which was a weird cold flattened gherkin thing with red cabbage. The bread was stale, cold and cubed. Incredibly dry and felt like I was putting loft insulation into my mouth, thankfully the £5 glass of coke that I ordered came to my rescue, £5 well spent. Not sure I’ve ever been that disappointed with bread before.
I then ordered a lamb grilled kebab, rice was the nicest part, again the lamb was incredibly dry and needed to be dowsed in garlic sauce. The flavour was okay but the texture was pretty rubbery and dry inside.
For some idiotic reason I had it in my head to then try a shisha pipe, as I’d never done one before. Tried the Savacca frozen Smurf - possibly one of the most unpleasant things I’d ever had. Tasteless, very rubbery / plastic tasting with a very odd aftertaste, was quite expensive. Better off going to the shop and buying a £5 vape.
I would’ve raised this with the staff but just thought this was normal - until visiting a different Turkish restaurant and realising how poor the experience at Wama lounge was.
If you’re looking for a Turkish around Kettering, best to go elsewhere.
Exceptional service and food. We celebrated our son's 23rd birthday and waiter was brilliant. Very polite, friendly and professional. All our dishes were delicious and fresh. We had mixture of vegetarian and meat dishes and the quality was amazing. The waiter went above and beyond to help us celebrate. Birthday Baklava slice with candle for was a lovely surprise. Highly recommended.

The food and service were impeccable. The waitress was very nice and polite. Unfortunately, when entering the premises, you can smell the characteristic smell of mold. After the meal and leaving this place, it turned out that both my clothes and hair smelled of mold. It's a pity, because the food is really tasty 😞
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Kettering, mainly as it serves one of my husband's favorite dishes, steak tartar at a very reasonable price. We both like their soups, which includes a beet soup, and also traditional zurek (rye) soup.
Main selections are plentiful, with mainly pork, chicken, and vegetarian dishes (their mushroom dishes are very good). My favorite dish is a chicken noodle pasta dish, flavoured with fresh dill, and served with mushrooms within.
Highly recommend.

Ordered chicken Shish from here, it arrived cold and had a very odd taste. Also only got 3 very small pieces of chicken for £9!! Been feeling ill and a little worn down. The wife says 'go on lad, get a kebab in you' usually go to Boston Diners (wish I did) but saw Sultans now doing delivery. Paid online and asked for salad and sauce separate. What turned up was a pile of mush wrapped in a bag. Literally swimming in garlic yoghurt. In the bin it went, what a waste of £15. Good news is I'll never go back.

Ordered a delivery, my 2x Zinger Tower burgers arrived eventually disguised as 2 hash browns in a bun, oh and both our meals were freezing cold. Not answering phone either so no dinner for me then.

You pay for the food so expect your food to look edible. I got 2 cheese burgers that came back to front, onion's were under the burger and the burgers were coldish, took two bites then they were cold, they were wrapped like a little boys 1st attempt at wrapping a Christmas present for his mummy. Very poor quality burger, I had 3 cheese burgers the other day and 2 of them were nicely well made and were hot, the 3rd one was full of salt I still ate it because i was starved. The chips came warmish and tasted like cardboard. I know what you are all probably thinking and yes I probably do eat McDonald's to much. Very poor food.

Tonight, I ordered food, two drinks, and two McFlurries. One drink arrived sideways in the bag, almost empty, having leaked into both McFlurries — which were now full of Fanta. Both went straight in the bin, and I had no drink.
I can accept that mistakes happen, but last night’s order was also a disaster — completely wrong. Customer service was useless and might as well not exist.
I fully expect no refund, as that seems to be the norm. McDonald’s has gone downhill. All they care about is squeezing every penny while charging more for subpar food.
If you’re hungry and thinking of McDonald’s, don’t bother. Spend your money somewhere else.

I find that a lot of places in the area struggle to get a kebab right with them often being dry rather than juicy. Happy to have discovered this gem that has the right balance.

We’re visiting Kettering for the month for the Lighthouse Pantomime — we came today (08/12/23) after a weeks rehearsals. One of us had fish and chips, one of us had sausage and chips and I had a veggie burger. All of us were blown away by the quality (including two of us who are both from seaside towns and are used to proper fish and chips). The portions were great too. We’re stuffed!

During my recent visit to Mystic Diners, I decided to enjoy a meal on-site rather than opting for takeaway. Ordered the mermaid pizza thru just eat, left a note saying no prawns. Pizza arrives after an hour, hardly warm but looks good. First slice I eat I find a prawn, call the restaurant to be told he made it himself and there are no prawns, only tuna!! While I’m stood here LOOKING at the prawn. Customer service is as bad as their ability to identify sea creatures, and worse than their pizzas.

Morrisons Cafe in Kettering has recently undergone a refreshing update, featuring new free-standing tables that create a cozy dining atmosphere. The coffee is generally decent, especially when the machines are functioning well. For those craving classic meals like fish and chips, you can expect freshly cooked dishes tailored to regular orders. However, other items such as children's snack boxes and sandwiches are conveniently located near the till for easy access if the front counter is unattended.
Went in last week with my family. Was an absolutely amazing experience. Their was so much accessibility especially for my Grandma who is currently in a wheelchair. The food was piping hot and fresh. Had a lovely conversation with someone called mark at the front counter who I believe was the Manager and had a conversation about how professional the staff was and how polite they were. The cleanliness was astonishing. When my food got served to me by this lovely person called Kai he offered me some sauces and helped my Grandma doing her coffee as she was incapable of doing it herself. I totally recommend going to this Cafe. Cheap. Affordable. Extremely well ran.

Morrisons kettering cafe has been updated with the new free standing tables the coffee is ok when the machines are working meals are cooked fresh for the regular order (fish -chips ect ect. But micro waved for any thing else childrens snack boxs and sandwich ect are on the leadup to the till where you can order your meal if the counter at the front is unmaned.

Recently, I found myself reminiscing about my childhood visits and decided to swing by after a fun night out with friends. Although there was a slight wait at the drive-thru speaker—about two minutes—the service was quick once we placed our order. I indulged in some refreshing drinks and a delightful McFlurry, which were prepared promptly.
Came here after a night with my friends!!! Been here loads as a kid but hadn’t been here in aaages. Got a few drinks and a McFlurry. Took a while to be served at the drive thru, maybe waited around 2 minutes at the speaker for someone to serve us. Our drinks and McFlurry were made fast. Absolutely lots of parking so cannot fault them here. We just sat in the cat park to eat. On a friday evening, sometimes there are intimidating and noisy cars, like a modded Ford Fiesta, corrupting your ears. Puts you off your fries!

Very poor I told them three time i didn't want cheese in a burger and just wanted sauce. Gets the burger to my nephew and he said it had cheese in it. Always a pleasure to stop here for a coffee when passing. We always use the drive-thru and are served quickly and the staff are always nice and polite. A medium sized carpark with disabled bays at the front and clean toilet facilities inside.

Wait for ever to be served, god forbid you want to pay cash and use the till rather than a machine. Nuggets always hot held for longer than they should be as they are dry rubbery and cold. Had clearly been sat in the UHC for much longer than 20 minutes. Really dissapointing mcdonalds id avoid.
Dead place, only served drive through’s for a lot of the time, we ordered a 2 drinks and took almost 30 minutes!! The drinks were stone cold with nobody there to ask if there was an update on our order, this is around 10PM so if you’re going to go here, it is better for the drive through because you at least get served. Also for delivery expect a long wait as drivers were ringing the bell with no response from the staff. Seriously needs to just get better, let that be more active staff on the front, or actually getting the hiring job on and getting more staff to work, I get it’s late, but 20-30 minutes for 2 drinks is dreadful.
Since the refurbishment this McDonald's has gone downhill rapidly, if you eat in your order takes absolutely ages to arrive and the grilled chicken wrap resembled a twig the chicken was so hard and dry. Deliveries and Drive through takes priority over customers sitting inside.

The quality and quantity of food here is fantastic and great value for money.
But the reason you should use Ocean Bay is because the staff are brilliant, they absolutely understand how to deliver amazing customer service.
I had a gluten free request in my order and they took care to package it separately, but also then talked to be about the vinegar that could be used.
I ordered online for collection and thought them getting me to double check the order when I arrived was good as I’d forgotten the peas!

Best fish and chip shop in Kettering and one of the best in the country. There can be a line outside especially on Fridays which may put people off but the wait is certainly worth it. That is also a good sign for the ongoing popularity locally. Card and cash payments accepted. Staff are always friendly and courteous. There is a small inside area to wait whilst your order is prepared. Prices are reasonable and whilst they have risen recently with the ongoing cost in living they remain reasonable and competitive. No dedicated parking outside but there is a side road running adjacent for those coming by car. Children's and senior meals offered along with a small selection of drinks.

I regularly buy fish and chips from here and they really are delicious. The fish is succulent, the batter light and crispy and the chips hot and tasty. The mushy peas are a good texture . I thoroughly enjoy the food from MD’s. Service is also efficient and friendly. You should be prepared to wait at times as they cook the food fresh.
Used to be great and good value. Haven't been for some time but an urgent tea required. My son choose a chip buttie at £2.20. Stale role and about 20 chips if that. Very poor value compared to others
I prefer crispy chips and we thought we'd be cheeky and see whether they were able to do this for us, they did not disappoint! This is a great little gem in an otherwise poor town for decent fast food.
Food: Ordered ‘Combination of 3 Kebabs’ and was suitably impressed. X2 chicken sheesh and X1 lamb sheesh. It came in a standard Pitta bread with a salad box and the chilli sauce is authentic and on point. Plenty of high quality lean chicken well grilled. Lamb is tender and tasty. Other places that do a ‘platter’ style mix would struggle to give you as much for £16.50 (at time of writing). Bread and salad cost nothing - the real money goes on the meat / protein content. And here they deliver.
Note: no chips or drink in with that. However I’m alright with that fact as I’m keeping it lean.
Service: the counter is busy at half 8 any evening. However I was served promptly 14 minutes after ordering. Fresh grilled and not a long wait. My food was straight on the grill and served fast. Staff were busy but polite. I don’t mind them keeping their eye on the ball rather than talking bollocks with me.
Place: there is a little room in the front of the shop to eat with a couple of tables and chairs - but this is a takeaway / delivery place in reality. Plastic fork and paper napkins were there. I stayed and ate in. Wasn’t too hot or loud… but I wouldn’t come here with anyone - I’d order and eat at home or whatever.
Verdict: hits the spot nicely for the money. They do other stuff like burgers and pizzas that I didn’t try but - for straight up kebabs this is the place in Kettering. It’s a Turkish place really... Not an American diner. Highly recommended.

Quick, friendly service. Got a large chips between two of us £4 - OMG! It was such a large portion that it would have fed 4 people! Really nicely and freshly cooked. Also had large sausage in batter at £2, which was also very tasty, and 6 scampi at £3.40, which were also very good. We were just passing through, but would definitely recommend it. Good prices across the board, although a large cod at almost £9 seems a bit steep. Depends on how 'large' it is I suppose! But very good overall.

Desborough Fish Bar is probably the best fish and chips shop in the universe! The ladies that look after you are really friendly, very helpful (I'll explain why shortly). The shop is super clean and tidy. The portions are amazing. And it's great value for your money.
I was working on Station Road on Sunday, I spotted the local chippy, got all excited, couldn't wait for 4 o'clock to come round.
Had a chat with my supervisor Phil (top man), we agreed that I could take my break just after 16:30, straight into the chippy, the lovely ladies greeted me and WOW! The biggest fish potions I've ever seen (nicknames the SHARK!).
So big I asked the ladies (sorry I didn't get your names) if they could cut it in half, which they did (thank you).
I ate some of the other half with chips and saved the other half to share for breakfast in the morning.
Thank you so much for the best fish and chips I've experienced in ages.

Lads on the night shift at the time of writing (01/07/2025) are excellent. Fast. Efficient. Excellent customer service. Absolutely none of the confrontation or icy ‘sorry I can’t help you’ bilge you get in other places in this franchise when things like the app go horribly wrong.
Food was piping hot. Exactly as ordered. And a good meal actually. I had an ‘Arch’ - the guest burger that should be added as a permanent fixture all the time. Like… a meaty Big Mac - what a Big Mac should be. Chips were hot, good and salty but not to the point of overpowering. Perfect.
No complaints at all. The night team on here are definitely on point. Better than the day crew. And head and shoulders above that shower at Corby.
Tonight it was what you always hope for when you visit a McDonalds. And sometimes get. But not often.

Awful experience. Waited over 15 minutes for simple food that was not very tasty. It was a mess when opened. Almost zero care for customers. Avoid as it’s not at all good.
What can I say, I’m no regular. But if you’re up against the “computer says no” staff. You literally are running against a wall. My first meal on order somehow was taken off (I did not ask for it to be taken off)
Probably a good thing to remain a non regular. Only response I got was, “there’s 2 screens to check the order” yet, my son says it was on screen.

Yet again, my delivery order from McDonald’s has arrived incomplete — this time missing a key item: the burger. It’s incredibly frustrating when the main part of the meal is missing, especially when this isn’t the first time it’s happened.
To make matters worse, I was offered a refund of just £2 and some change — nowhere near the actual cost or inconvenience of the missing item. It’s simply not acceptable to repeatedly mess up orders and then offer such a poor resolution.
Sort out your order checks and your customer service — it shouldn’t be this difficult to receive what you paid for.

This is the Mcds to go to if you're on a diet, as the hamburgers have shrunk severally, and look like they've been stamped on.

The information displayed on the outlet and on Google is absolutely deceptive. I had a morning shift and as I usually do, I park myself for coffee and some food at the nearest McDonald's near the station. To come to this outlet I spent money for a cab and will spend money to go back to my office in the early morning.
I asked the lady when I could check into the restaurant, she in a very politely indifferent tone declined and shared that this outlet is closed between 11 to 6.
Such a shame on a Biggie like MacDonald. And I doubt even the Kyra Enterprise Ltd the owners of this outlet even know if this is the practice and if they know this is how it is it's disgusting. Just turning a blind eye.

It's a Macdonalds, so what's to say? Always clean and busy. Food is usually hot and OK. Only ever one issue with orders, I asked for extra onions on a burger and didn't get them
Milkshakes and coffee are often better here than other Macdonalds for some reason. No time restriction on parking is a bonus. But the upstairs is often closed so interior seating can be limited at busy times, though there is some exterior seating too. Like all Macdonalds the quality of service is dependant on who's on shift and their experience level.
During my lunch break, I drove into the "drive thru" to be told there was a problem with something, and I had to order in the building. When I went in, I was unable to use the screen to order, as I wanted something not on there. Someone tried to help, but she couldn't do it either. So I went to the desk, ordered my burger and fries, picked up, and left. I then pulled up a few miles away to find no serviette in the bag. Only saving grace was the food was nice.

If you're on the hunt for a delicious meal, look no further than Best Kebab & Pizza. This spot has caught my eye multiple times, especially with its cash-only policy that adds a unique charm. I decided to try their offerings and ordered two 12-inch deep pan pizzas—one being a spicy Mexican hot variety. They were cooked quickly and tasted delightful, especially considering the price point!
So drove past best kebab a few times, noticed the cash only sign in the window. So decided to order a collection, 2 x 12 inch pizzas (Mexican hot 12 inch deep pan) £13.50 (2nd pizza half price) cooked quick, tasted pretty good for the price. Would prefer option for 14 inch and stuff crust. Pizza did look a little over cooked but tasted good and wasn't too greasy , pepperoni slices are notoriously greasy

Haven’t been to this place in a while so thought I would pop in for a cheeky burger and chips.
Looks like it’s under new management. Nice and quick with the food, nice little chat with the owner and the food was spot on! Fresh salad and a very nice amount of chips! Good price as well.
Definitely recommend it and will 100% be using them from now on.
Don’t judge a book by the cover! I’m sure this place will have a make over at some point but at the end of the day a burger is a burger!
Don't waste your money. Ordered 4 different meals and they were all terrible, the chips were all crispy but had no potato in them. The doner meat was soaked in grease and had no flavour. The cheese burger had fatty bits in the burger, the child's portion of nuggets and chips wasn't big enough for a child and the nuggets for over cooked, the chicken fillet burger was not that, it arrived a tiny breaded processed chicken burger which didn't taste of chicken - I could only taste the red cabbage on top. Majority of the food went in the bin. No point in complaining to the restaurant and asking for fresh food because it would turn up with a repeat of the same rubbish. We just won't use them again. We only tried here because bostons and Mama Mia are closed for holiday at the moment.

A morgue looks more inviting than the front of this place, it looks closed, even when it's opened. You walk in and can't see much, there was even a bloke in the shop using his phone to zoom in on the menu to be able to see it. The cooking area is hidden, area 51 stuff going on back there, top secret.
Let me talk about the food now... There's a lot to say, but none of it is positive.
We got a shish kebab, or so we thought. Last time I checked, a shish kebab consists of big cubes/chunks of chicken which are grilled on a skewer. According to this place, it's slices of chicken breast with a sprinkle of seasoning from B&M, fryed on a pan. I'd change the name to a shush kebab, because it left me speechless when I opened the box. There's a previous review which mentions their chips, and I'll mention them too. I'm not sure how they do it, there needs to be a study done on it, but somehow they extract the potato out of the potato. The chips are hollow, crispy on the outside but empty in the middle. The salad, can't say much because there wasn't much of it. The salad container was 2/3 full of air. How small is the budget for this place. For the same price, you can go to Flames Grill near sainsburys and get a proper kebab which is made in front of you, nothing to hide, and you'll actually get a good portion of meat and salad. Presto owners really need a rethink about what they want to be, they want to serve all the cuisines of the world, with what appears to be a £10 budget. It's called Presto Pizza, so just serve pizza and some sides, get good at that and be know for that.

Only for it to arrive stale like it had been sat around for hours lol, when rang they didn’t say much so we went in and asked for fresh food .. in which they did do but I shouldn’t of had to pay for delivery to then have to drive there in order to get my food

The dough base is very light and fluffy, doesnt sit heavy on your stomach.
Can tell they use better quality ingredients than some places.
2 for 1 on pizzas is always a good deal
Delivery times can sometime be a little long but i find this reassuring, if they are busy then they are popular.
One thing i would like to see as a ‘topping’ option is stuffed crust.
Sides are good, chips are not soggy when they arrive and are nice and crisp.
Been ordering from them for years but my food today was not fresh. Ordered two doner kebabs in a restaurant.opened at home and very disappointed. On the top meat was fine but underneath the meat was smelly and sticky. 🤮🤮🤮 Not fresh at all. I don't think will buy from them again 🤢🤢🤢 hope will be not sick . Don't recommend.

Casual counter-serve chain for build-your-own sandwiches & salads, with health-conscious options.
Clean, friendly and quick. OK. It's a Subway! So, nothing to get excited about, but the staff were really friendly, it was spotlessly clean and my sub was served up perfectly and quickly. Great job guys.

Place looks a little run down at the moment. Had to wait for the 1 staff member working to come amd serve me as he was in the office BUT very friendly and polite and the subway was so good. All the veggies tasted fresh and crispy and the bread was fresh as always. For an understaffed store the service was great!
Charged £2.90 for a cookie, coffee and sausage sub. £2.70 even according to menu they display. I was in first thing and floor was dirty. Guy shook lettuce off the cheese before putting it on my sandwich. Cheese was stale and hard. Salad all mixed in. In general dirty and poor standards. Disappointing for a subway.
Absolutely awful service -- we ordered from Just Eat using Silver Street Branch and it was £41 in total !! When the food arrived we asked where rest of order was as it didn't seem all correct -- delivery driver abruptly said "ring the shop" my son rang the shop before he'd even got in his car to get a message "we're closed try later" This was at 2.30ish.Out of our substantial order of 4 foot longs ,nachos .cookies ,large drink and 3 small bottles we only received the cookies and 2 small bottles of pepsi ! the 1 sub wasn't any of the ones ordered ,we got a bag of Doritos and a portion of chicken bites none of which were ours :( We have contacted Just Eat to be told they need to investigate our complaint and it could take up to 48 hours to be resolved --- Not happy as this is not a small amount of money plus we have no food ordered ,we'll not be using Subway again and if I could give 0 stars I would .
Worst customer service.i went to subway for my free cookie and employee talks in very bad manner. Was giving excuses for not giving birthday month free cookies. Don't visit to this subway. They abused also.
The guy behind the counter was a real diamond, went with my autistic step son and the guy was extra patient and really made us feel like we were the only ones there

I have just brought my chicken from Jackson hoping it was going to be a lovely meal.I have got home and I am fuming with what I can see and taste. The chicken was very dry and there was more bone then chicken when I took my first bite the chicken was pink inside I am not happy and I want to let people know this isn’t correct and people shouldn’t be dealing with this.Also I want to add the chips were horrible they were cold and hard.One last thing the sauce I have got with it they said it was Jackson’s special sauce and I tell you this IT WAS NOT SPECIAL AT ALL!!!! I feel disgusted with the way it tasted and they couldn’t even tell me what the sauce was even when my young daughter was so exited to get some chicken after her hard day off school and she was so upset she cried for hours and I don’t even want to say how my son was like he has been put off chicken for life he is now becoming vegan ( he is 10 ) dispute the chicken veggie raps I still won’t be coming back to buy them this has really upset me and my family
Decent chicken much better the the kernels. Found it had good flavour and was hot when arrived. Not sure what spice they use but it made it taste amazing. I really do think that this will be my favourite chicken outlet. Local and extremely fast delivery the price is reasonable too. Would highly recommend this outlet for any friends and family to try out and also good for fried chicken lovers. Well done to the staff for the perfection in the making of the coating of the fried chicken. No complaints at all.
Honestly the food is not good. Dry flavourless, bland and overpriced for whhhat is given. Had high hopes as it resembled Sam’s bit would advise against going her. Service is standard and atmosphere is empty but nice seating and lighting

I ordered the chicken fry burrito meal from here for £5 which was shockingly cheap, however the burrito was very good, the chips were not so good. The popcorn chicken, chicken wings and onion rings were also very good from here however the chicken burger was very bland and disappointing. Delivery also took an hour despite it not being far, which was a shame. All in all, I would order from here again especially as it is one of the few halal places in Kettering.

Ordered a few times from here. Staff always friendly and helpful. Food was a bit worse than usual tonight though however still good value. Last time i went into the store itself it smelt clean unlike other local places which is why we ate there so i hope it stays this way. Still not as tasty as kfc but probably safer if eating locally
I order 16 piece dipping boneless feast. Came with no drink or dips. I also order a side of baked beans which I did not receive. I asked the delivery driver where it was and he said they didn't have any. When ringing the shop to find out why this was I was told it was the drivers fault. Apparently in the space of 3 min he went back and got it yet it took him 30 min to get here. Then got told he must have gave it to someone else. Don't quite see how this is possible. I asked if it was going to be delivered to which I got a no. The man was very rude and did not take any ownership whatsoever.
Food was cold and undercooked.

Yet again another disappointment from a kettering take-away / delivery. It was awful....chicken burger must have had half a tub of mayo and cheap mayo too. Did i ask for mayo?? Surely this should be a choice. I do like mayo but in proportion. Chicken wasn't seasoned tasted very bland. If you can't cook food then I suggest you should get a job else where as your just added to the list of a poor food eatery. What a waste of money.
Visited a few weeks ago and got less chicken than ordered. I complained and was told the manager would het in touch-he didnt! Decided to give a second chance tonight, spicy rice was missing from order! This place is run by a bunch of con artists who do not provide what is paid for!

Decided to give them a second chance last night.
Got home and the rice that is supposed to have been with the meal was not provided.
if i could give this a minus i would , placed a £20.00 order ( bucket and a box meal ) the meal turned up 8 nuggets , 4 fries 3 cans of pepsi . 10 bits of bonless chicken missing ( YES 10) . rang the restaurant and the man said the driver took it , we check cameras on all orders . Firstly theres no way you check cameras on all orders because while your arguing with me on the phone for a 30 second phonecall theres no way you walked to your office and checked the cctv because if you did you would see i was 10 ( YES 10 ) pieces of chicken missing and secondly the driver was on a push bike , where do you suggest he put my 10 pieces of chicken? in his pocket? in his hat? under his seat? i doubt it very much i will never use you again , your customer service is disgusting and your chips were cold !
Place is rubbish and liars. I ordered a burrito and they didn't even put rice in the burrito, so I phoned them up to ask why and they said they ran out of rice which is fair but they then said they called us about it which never happened and the fact that I ordered rice as a side and got that, so they clearly just lying to try get out of it and then only thing they could say was they do not know what I want from them and they will give me a double order next time. Like that is going to happen!!!
