Hostel
Restaurante De Pedra e Sal Hostel & Suites is a unique establishment in the heart of Setubal, offering both a restaurant and hostel experience. The beautifully restored building exudes character and charm, providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. One of its standout dishes is the bife na pedra, a sizzling beef steak served on a hot stone, allowing diners to cook it to their preference at the table.
Fabulous dining experience! We stumbled into the restaurant one evening and ended up enjoying every aspect of our time here. Our server was attentive without hovering and provided helpful guidance. Each of the 3 of us ordered something different (flank steak, tuna, pork cheeks), and every item was absolutely delicious. Even the house wine was top-notch (but of course, it's Portugal). The room was quiet (we were the only party) yet inviting. I would definitely return here when I'm in Setúbal and highly recommend it.
Stace H — Google review
Great service, awful food. I really don’t understand the great reviews. If you are a steak lover, order something else. We were sold on the “salt boards”. Steak was completely bland, basically is suppose to get its flavor from the cut and a bit of salt flavor from the salt board. Meat was incredibly chewy, visible sinew throughout the entire cut (either a horrible butcher or sous chef to allow that to even happen). Venue was cool, but ate inside because of heat, open kitchen was very cool to see. Waiter and manager were both very nice. Sides were very tasty as was the sangria. It was the meat, the meat was a complete disaster. Seasoning goes a long way, as does a decent butcher!
Wendy L — Google review
Great location, but the food is not so good. Meat seamed to me like it was frozen several times. Desert - if you’ll buy the same cream brûlée at supermarket- probably it would be better. The price of a good restaurant, but in fact food is like in canteen.
Felix F — Google review
I can only speak about the food and only good things. The main courses are very well prepared and tasty, and the desserts are just the cherry on top.
Daniel C — Google review
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. They forgot our order entirely, and after a long wait we had to chase it up ourselves. When the food finally arrived, it was badly cooked and far too salty to eat. To top it off, our waiter stood at a table near us loudly complaining to other customers about not having enough staff, instead of focusing on the service. Truly unprofessional and disappointing — we will not be coming back.
Elyess E — Google review
If there is negative ratiing i will give them negative 3 and that is even me being generous. I don’t usually leave a comment but this restaurant is worst. They forgot our order, waited for more than 1hour and the other waiter who didnt took our order informed us they forgot our order. I have to say ORDER 3 times did i??? Bad experience in Setubal. Prices didn’t Match the service and food. The cuttlefish i ordered came very salty and so hard like Rubber. This is an honest unbiased review. Crap waiters worst food and please don’t go here. Even their Rose wine is low-quality. Don’t be fooled with the ambiance. Rude and Feeling entitled. NEVER AGAIN.
Harriette — Google review
The food was good but the service was terrible. I asked for a spoon, never came! I asked for a beer and also never came!! Also, no paper in the toilet. For the price you pay,you deserve to be treated in a better way.
Carlos B — Google review
The atmosphere is nice, but food was not good. Especially if you are a meat-lower and wanted a nice steak this is not the right place for you.

Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque waterfront of Setúbal, Xtoria is a culinary gem that beautifully marries traditional Portuguese flavors with modern flair. Since its inception in 2019, this award-winning restaurant has captivated diners with its innovative take on local cuisine. A standout dish is their expertly crafted cuttlefish, enhanced by ponzu sauce and accompanied by black potato and sriracha mayonnaise—truly a feast for the senses!
Beautiful experience dining here for the first time - starting from the vibe when you enter through the very end. The restaurant is uniquely decorated, with a very warm team enhancing every part of the meal. The dishes we ordered were delicious and beautifully plated, with creative flavors and ingredients. Our server, Prince, was outstanding. Knowledgeable, very warm, and worth returning again!
Diana M — Google review
I was looking forward to our dinner at Xtoria after reading the reviews and realizing that it has a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating. The menu looked very interesting as well. I made sure to make a reservation a week before our arrival to Setúbal. The service was friendly so we thought we were off to a good start until we received the first dish. There was nothing anyone particularly liked, everything was so bland. The taste (or the lack thereof) was in high contrast with the elaborate description in the menu and the nice plating. I enjoyed the tiger prawn in my dish but that was about it. I had to apologize to my partner and our friends since I was the one who picked this restaurant. We did not even want to order any desserts. It is very unfortunate because the vision is there but the execution fell really short. I am giving 2 stars due to our high expectations set by the Michelin selection.
Sila A — Google review
I would give 6 stars plus the Michelin. Starting from the reservation via phone, the lady was so nice telling me she only had a table close to the door (but still nice) since was a last minute booking. All the personnel speak English and could explain in details all the food coming from the tasting menu (5 courses/60€). I really suggest to try it, and their local wines. If you add to a delicious food also courtesy and an elegant but familiar contest, you have this restaurant. Can’t wait to try the octopus! Thank you, Martina
Martina U — Google review
One of the best restaurants I ever dined in. Let’s start with the place. The restaurant is decorated with taste. The lady who welcomed us was so professional giving us what we need as info about the menu. Smiling and calm it was really nice to discuss with her. The food is just perfect. Perfect balance of flavors and textures. All the dishes were so good. I highly recommend this restaurant for a perfect dinner in Setubal.
Rana C — Google review
The food was so good. interesting combinations you are not sure that work but do. for example a dessert of cheese, white chocolate and cuttle fish ink crumb. Delicious. The service was professional, explaining the dishes. we will try to go again on this hol.

Tapas restaurant
Sem Horas is a delightful tapas restaurant in Setubal, known for its whimsical atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent cuisine. The ambiance of the place is truly enchanting with its charming decor including tapestry canopy, unique glasses, dim lighting, and artistic table settings. The service provided by the attentive and efficient staff enhances the overall dining experience. The food at Sem Horas is well-prepared and beautifully presented with standout dishes like chocolate pie and veggie board.
Food was amazing, and the service was stellar. Very helpful in guiding my menu selections, food arrived quickly and was very fresh. Highly recommend!
Miare C — Google review
We came here because I saw the recommendations, and oh boy, they did not disappoint! The food is absolutely amazing and we loved it! We went here for lunch, and we are definitely coming back for more next time we are in Setubal!
Emilie W — Google review
It was a rare moment when my husband and I chose the same restaurant without any discussion. We emerged from a narrow street onto a building decorated with flowers, and to our pleasant surprise, it was this restaurant. Beautiful, delicious, atmospheric. This is a place where it's pleasant to sit and immerse yourself in the present moment, where time takes its linear course. We felt like we were floating. Thank you for the Setúbal red wine, for the duck and orange salad, the beef cheeks, for the Portuguese olives and bread with butter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Experience at Sim Horas – A Must-Visit in Setúbal! Sim Horas is one of my favorite spots in Setúbal! The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making it perfect for a relaxing meal any time of day. The duck salad is absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavor, and generously sized. It’s consistently great, and something I always come back for. The live music adds such a special touch, creating a warm and inviting vibe that makes the whole experience even better. Service is always friendly and attentive, making you feel truly welcome. Highly recommend Sim Horas to anyone looking for great food, good vibes, and excellent service in Setúbal!
Fanny — Google review
It was such a good experience. Food is great, especially octopus and cuttlefish. Stuff is very polite and helpful, easy to communicate. The atmosphere and design are nice and comfortable. Plus working hours are very sufficient. Recommend to visit 🙂‍↕️
Tetiana H — Google review
Whimsical ambiance, friendly service, and good food! Sem Horas is a winner! We’ve been meaning to try this spot since we came to Setúbal a week ago, and we finally stopped by for dinner tonight. The atmosphere is incredibly magical and delightful. I loved the tapestry canopy, mismatched glasses, low lighting, and table decorations. The ambiance is the best part of the experience in my opinion. The service was attentive and efficient too. The food was solid and beautifully presented. I especially loved the chocolate pie and veggie board! The garlic shrimp and ceviche were tasty, but they tasted a little fishy to me, which makes me think the fish wasn’t the absolute freshest. Maybe I’m wrong? Overall, a wonderful experience! I’m very happy we dined here while in Setúbal.
Shannon M — Google review
Met up with friends, we sat outside and that was lovely. The food was fantastic, very different options which was appreciated. We had our small dog with us and it wasn't a problem at all. Great place, french vibes, wonderful food!
Peggy S — Google review
We ended up in this town by chance basically, and one of the restaurants that popped up straight away when walking around was Sem Horas. We sat inside at the window, all the waiters + the owner were so nice and welcoming, hence we knew we were in the right place. Great atmosphere, amazing decor well thought in detail, stunning cutlery, amazing service and most of all great food! We had a delicious dinner and it definitely contributed to a beautiful day around Portugal! I would definitely recommend this place!

Seafood restaurant
O Batareo, located on Setubal's docks with a view of the Sado River, is a renowned restaurant celebrated for its fresh grilled fish and seafood. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience where guests can handpick their fish from a showcase at the entrance, which is then expertly grilled to perfection. The menu varies daily based on the availability of line-caught catches such as butterfish, mullet, sea bream, sea bass, and sole.
The best meal I had in Portugal - I just loved this fish restaurant. O Batareo daily has different fresh fish which you can choose from and haven it grilled. The cost of the fish is counted per kilo and grilled right there in front of you. It tasted amazing! What can be better than freshly grilled fish! The fish comes with boiled potato and salad. The place also serves excellent cheese, bred and olives as a starter. Even though there was a wait, the place was defiantly worth it.
Tatiana N — Google review
One of the best meals I have ever had. Fresh grilled fish and seafood. Kind service. Great start to a day at the beach.
Diane G — Google review
Amazing local restaurant. The staff is superB. If you are in Setubal, this is a must have space. The fishes are superfresh, very tasty and, and... AMAZING! The speciality of the restaurant is Salmonette (Red Mullet). This is a local fish. Free parking is within 100 meters from the restaurant. In the front of it, you can have paid parking zone, but walking 1 minutes to the free parking is not a big deal...
Leslie H — Google review
Very good and fresh seafood and fishes! I love the tuna belly! Didn’t have such good quality anywhere in Portugal yet but here. U can also request to cook according to your liking so no overcooking! Small cuttlefish in the ink, and fish roe were also grilled to its perfection! Dessert are all home made and very special. We had the fig in egg cake and aqua dent on top of sweet potato pudding.
Travel C — Google review
Great fresh fish assado style, I just chose two, ass to be seen on the pictures, ome was flacky and juicy, one was firm and juicy and they were cheap... tasty!
Martin J — Google review
Great fish and nice service!
João B — Google review
Food was good, however very very expensive (at least 30-35 euro per person only the fish). I also suggest to carefully read the balance when they weight the fish in case of any mistakes.
Raffaella P — Google review
The high quality of the fish and grilling, stated by other reviewers is probably due to the owner and father of this family-run business, the guy doing the grilling, having been and maybe still is a fisherman. The red mullet I particularly like as it comes with the fish’s liver sauce separate so you can taste if it is to your likening. The locals arrive for lunch at one o’clock so sometime before is recommended. This is not a cosy romantic eatery by any means and you may be distracted by the variety of ongoing conversations about you. The verandah has only 12 places so you must book if you want a table there. Desserts may still be the domain of the ladies of the family but I’m not sure.

Mediterranean restaurant
Tasca da Avenida is a charming little cafe located in the center of Setubal, offering a pleasant break from the abundance of seafood in the area. The restaurant features outdoor seating and an eclectic menu that includes delicious options like pad thai and red curry. While the menu is limited, the quality of food is excellent with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The codfish dish stands out for its perfect texture and mild saltiness.
Great food and service!! The owner was super helpful suggesting gluten free options for us. Very helpful! We had corn flour crusted cuttlefish, shrimp done in a garlic, white wine, cilantro sauce and roasted green peppers. We loved everything!
Pam P — Google review
Not sure if its the palette we are typically used to but we found everything here just alright. The curry lacked flavour and was like no other curry I've had before (even compared to curries in states, and other Asian countries). it was rather cloying after awhile. fish soup was pretty good tho with the essence of the fish captured. choco Fritto was well done but some of the chips tasted a bit bitter and might be slightly overcooked. generous portions tho! Service was normal. not crazy amazing like what others mentioned in the reviews. there were flies in the restaurant which was slightly annoying. A lamp to get rid of the flies might be a good option.
Charis K — Google review
We had a great time at Tasca da Avenida—their Polvo à Lagareiro was absolutely amazing: perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The staff and owner were very friendly which made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Ilya Z — Google review
We were there with 6 persons for dinner. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a seat! But it's better to make a reservation. It was very busy. The food was excellent! The fried cuttlefish is highly recommended! The service and staff are fantastic!
Fabian H — Google review
We really enjoyed our dinner at Tasca da Avenida. Great service and food: we had choco frito and arroz de mariscos which was very tasty. We finished our dinner with Chocolate mousse, also really good with the different combinations of sea salt, olive oil, pink pepper and lime zest. Definitely recommended!
Francesca M — Google review
We had a wonderful dinner here with our 2 yo daughter. We felt REALLY looked after. They normally dont make bookings after 7:30pm but were happy to assist us as we were coming from Troia by ferry so couldnt make it before. We settled for the tapas, and loved the bolinhas de alheira (alheira croquettes) and the gambas com alho (garlicky prawns), salada de choco frito (this is a really generous cuttlefish portion so do share amongst a group if you re not big fans like us) and finally the pica pau. The chocolate mousse was just amazing at the end! They have the normal one and the “experience” one where you can combine it with the local olive oil, salt, lime and pink peppercorns. The service was wonderful & the staff extremely friendly. Couldnt recommend more. Note: if you re tired of the Troia Marina restaurants, this is a wonderful local place. Not your tourist trap at all, well priced & yummy food. Not pretentious at all. Its a 15 min walk from the Port but a good way to see the main downtown of Setubal. The ferry works around €9 euro per person for return. The ferry is running mostly every hour - check locally depending on season.
Nikita K — Google review
Restaurant Review: Tasca da Avenida Located in the heart of downtown, Tasca da Avenida offers a delightful dining experience with its clean and inviting ambiance. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. We tried the Caril de Gambas (Shrimp Curry), Polvo à Lagareiro (Octopus), and Bitoque de Frango (Chicken Steak)—each dish was wonderfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The restaurant is conveniently situated near plenty of paid parking spaces, making it an easy choice for a hassle-free meal. Highly recommended for anyone seeking superb service and delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere.

This is such a lovely restaurant. It is something you should try if you are visiting Setubal. I recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is small. Their food is consistently good. I always opt for the mixed seafood dish without rice but have tried the seafood rice too. The cuttle fish is always great here and so is the risotto!

everything was fine and dandy until the end when the bill came and was divided into 5 and each had 39 euros, but my colleagues wanted a breakdown of the voucher so that everyone paid for what they consumed and not to divide it into 5 because each settles the voucher, which what was tried 2 times, but it didn't work. which in the end the head of the hall came with another voucher for 222 euros, that is, with 22 euros in addition, which on the collected vouchers made a maximum of 200 below you have pictures. butter was put on the bread...etc, which the first time were from the house. We had an amazing dinner at Carnes do Convento. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with the feel of a high-end, intimate U.S. steakhouse. We were lucky to get a same-day reservation and were graciously seated at 10:00 PM—they honored it with a great attitude and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was top-notch. Our waiter, Samuel, was polite, attentive, and spoke excellent English—something that’s not very common in Setúbal. He made sure our table was always taken care of. The food was outstanding. We tried tri-tip, entrecôte, sirloin, and several sides—everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The variety of meats (including venison, wild boar, kangaroo, pork, and chicken) was impressive and executed flawlessly.

Casa Santiago - O Rei Do Choco Frito is a relaxed eatery with a cozy ambiance and rustic wooden ceilings. It offers delicious fried cuttlefish, a renowned dish in Setubal. Situated on the docks by the ocean, this restaurant stands out among others specializing in Choco Frito (fried squid). Known as the King of Choco Frito, it consistently draws long queues of eager diners.

Well worth the hype. This place is sooo busy but the staff still remains gracious. The cuttlefish is a really nice, chewy but meaty texture. Paired with the salad and fries was really delicious. I recommend this place.

The best choco frito ever. First visit on 2017, second 2019 and now 2025...still the same taste...amazing😁
Grzegorz B — Google review
Quick service and an attentive waiter. The space is traditional, spacious, and well-lit. We had the Choco Frito and veal steak, both were excellent (fish slightly better). For dessert, we tried the Doce de Bolacha, a biscuit dessert crushed and blended with cream. It’s tasty. Prices are reasonable, offering great value for money.
Joao S — Google review
This restaurant is great. My friend brought me here. We arrived at 19:00 on Monday afternoon. Some people were already seated, but there were still some empty seats. Later, all seats were full. You should know that this is Monday, not Friday night, which shows that many people like this place. Next, let's talk about the food. The choco frito is delicious. I was so hungry that I kept eating it. The portion of his dishes is very large. For the two of us, we were very full after eating a large choco set meal. But I have to say that if you keep eating choco, you will get a little greasy in the end because it is fried. I suggest you order some other dishes to go with it. Although the decoration is not luxurious, I suggest sitting outside to eat so that you can see some scenery of the pier. It's a very good restaurant. I will recommend it to my friends, and the price is very affordable.
Gaia L — Google review
My favorite spot every time I visit Setúbal! Casa Santiago serves the best Choco Frito in town — crispy, flavorful, and always delicious. They don’t take reservations and it’s always busy, so arrive early. You might wait over an hour, especially on weekends, but it’s 100% worth it.
Fanny — Google review
Fries are frozen- very bad No sauces except small packages of ketchup and mayo of bad quality for which you pay for. The Choco Frito is quite good, but that is about it. For a place that has a 2 item menu, it really lacks the quality, while the prices are quite high for what you get. I would have expected them to be masters of choco frito, with fries and a good sauce to go along, but no. Only the cuttlefish is good.
Popel — Google review
The choco frito is good, but it doesn’t come with sauce or fries so you have to order them separately. For the price, it would be nice if they were included. It doesn’t deserve all the fuss…

If you're looking for a local Portuguese restaurant with good food and low prices, Taberna Típica O Pescador II is definitely worth checking out. They specialise in Fried Cuttlefish (Choco Frito) and they've already won the locals' hearts several times.
A small family restaurant frequented mainly by Portuguese people. The cuisine is simple, homemade and prepared with fresh ingredients that are the strength of this restaurant. The parking spaces around are difficult. The restaurant has outdoor seating and some indoor seating. I advise you to book there for lunch or dinner. There's nothing to say about the value for money.

Very friendly staff and it was great to hear their story. The food here is very authentic. It has fishes that are from the deeper sea level such as Beltfish (about 300m deep) . This place is cheap and a must try. The appetizer that are given in the beginning aren't for free. So make sure you tell them you don't want it if you don't want to pay.

Very good value for the money as each dish complimented with a few things like boiled potatoes, green beans, migas, salad, etc. The choco Frito (fried cuttlefish) is big, served with French fries and a little bit of rice. The waiter speak perfect English and super friendly. The grilled dourada is very fresh with crispy skin. Highly recommended.

Small restaurant with a really good menu. Very nice staff, good fish and good choco. The wine of the house decent, and the salad delicious.

This is not a fancy and expensive restaurant like the ones that you will find in the city’s main street. This is a typical local Portuguese restaurant with a cosy space, homemade food, nice people and cheap prices. They cook the best Fried Cuttlefish (Choco Frito in Portuguese) in the area and they already won the local prize for the best “Fried Cuttlefish” several times.

We tried "Espadarte de cebolada" (swordfish with onions) and "Espadarte de tomatada" (swordfish with tomatoes) and the dishes are superb and delicious. Highly recommended

Here you get grilled fresh fish with authentic Portuguese side dishes for a very good price. The fish you can choose from the display outside and it's salted and grilled at the outside grill. Plenty of space inside and outside. Canteen style furniture outside in the alley. Service is ok. Value for money is outstanding.

Nice neighborhood restaurant. We came as part of a tour and had the fried cuddlefish. It was very well prepared and delicious, also it's a local favorite as we saw a lot of them while touring the nearby market. It was simple food but prepared perfectly. You could also see into most of the kitchen from the dining room.

always pleasant and fast service (which is not everywhere in Setubal), delicious food. My daughter is always delighted with the attention of the waiters. Usually there are no problems with parking

Nice food, with some interesting dishes I haven't seen in other places. The oysters were fresh, the fried shrimp entreé was delicious, the duck livers ('iscas') tasty. The fried cuttlefish was good and the tuna steak was perfectly cooked. The white wine sangria was very refreshing. The only bad point, and the reason for not giving 5 stars, was that service was slow. The servers were very nice, but I suspect the restaurant was understaffed for the amount of customers present.

Decor e Salteado is a stunning restaurant with a picturesque ocean view. It is beautifully adorned and offers a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members are friendly, and the food served there is exceptional. They have an array of delectable dishes, including grated goat cheese with tomato and pumpkin, vegetable timbale, tuna loin with sauteed vegetables, cuttlefish (known as choco), and fried shrimps. Their sangria is also highly recommended.
First I must highlight the exquisite dish features a rich black squid ink risotto, beautifully garnished with fresh herbs and vibrant red chili for a touch of color and spice. The rice is perfectly cooked, absorbing the deep flavors of the sea in every bite. A culinary delight that balances boldness and elegance on one plate. Eating at Decor e Salteado in Setúbal elevates the entire experience—the ambiance is warm and refined, blending rustic charm with modern flair. The attention to detail in both the cuisine and the decor makes this restaurant a true gem and an absolute must-visit.

Bruno welcomed us with such genuine warmth. He even created a seating area for my wife and I where one didn’t exist just to make sure we could be seated. Alexander provided impeccable service throughout our meal, and Fernando was equally attentive and kind. The hospitality alone was unforgettable, but then came the food: without question, the most delicious we had during our entire stay in Portugal. My wife and I agree this was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever shared. Decor e Salteado is truly something special.

I was in the area on a business trip with three colleagues when we came across the restaurant by chance. The food was outstanding, I had the tuna loin and the mackerel timbale on two separate evenings, along with a variety of starters. The staff were absolutely amazing and completely faultless. I truly hope to return in the future. Best wishes and good luck, from the three British chaps.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Highly recommend!! Great hospitality from Bruno and his team. Amazing food with varying options of dishes. It is Modern meets humble traditional. We had the Duck and Pica Pau, both done in unique ways. The Duck was presented beautifully and in very good portion for the price, while the Pica Pau was juicy and reminiscent of traditional Vovós home cooking. Recommended by a local friend, Suzanna, and will recommend to others for their great hospitality and beautiful cuisine. Thank you for the great meal!

It offers traditional Portuguese and regional cuisine, with highlights such as Partridge Pie, Duck Rice, Dogfish Soup, Spiritual Codfish, Oven Roasted Lamb, and Prawn Acorda. The restaurant has a capacity of 450 people and is completely accessible. Operating hours are from 12.30pm to 4.00pm for lunch and from 7.00pm to 11.
Excellent local buffet family style place. Round or long tables ready for the local families. Very nice building outside. Portuguese specialties only, but covering a very wide range from delicious cheese and hams to deserts. The owner and employees come to the table and tempt us with more. The house wines were very good. We left stuffed and happy.

Bad food quality, most of it cold despite the fact we were the first there. Bad service. Good looking from the outside, but terrible open space that reverberates, meaning you end up having to shout to get heard across the table and compete with other patrons for volume. We reserved our table at 19h00, we waited half an hour to be let in, then we were shown our table and half way through the meal one of the waiters pulled me aside to tell me that I had to pay, that I should have paid at the very beginning. I politely said that your staff should have probably told me that before entering and that I'd pay after enjoying my meal, after which he accepted and left, only to come back 5 minutes later telling me that his boss told him that it has to be right this instant. Safe to say I will not be recommending, nor coming back to Dona Isilda. I would welcome a response from the owner clarifying the situation further.

The best buffet around, the price is good for the quality and service your get, the food is traditional portuguese cuisine to the best quality it can be. The service is exceptional especially with the handouts you get through out your time there. The atmosphere is cool and refreshing, with an amazing view outside. Recommend going here if you have more to spend on your budget and want real portuguese cuisine.

Huuuuge selection of good food, really traditional Portuguese dishes. Nice meats and cheeses on offer also. Everything I tried (and I tried a lot!) was really tasty. The bar snacks offered on arrival are nice touch and all flavoursome. Although a lot of desserts on offer, I didn’t find many that appealing. Had a sort of egg white soufflé with caramelised sugar on top, very light and fluffy but also very sweet, didn’t need much to feel full.

Lovely host (owner) and beautiful restaurant. We were passing by to grab a bite but they were hosting a wedding and had a buffet lunch with mostly non veg items. But the host Louis was so accommodating that he went out of his way to arrange for veg sandwiches and coffee and to look for what else he could offer. We sincerely appreciated his welcoming gesture and would definitely recommend you to stop over. See you next time 😊

I ate there only one time. The experience was very good. I recommend you to book a table because the restaurant is small but very nice with a lot of wood features for remind you a mountain place or something likes that. The foods were very good. In particular the pork, quejo (cheese) and the “choco frito”. Very good. We ordered also the chickpeas but I don’t recommend them because are normal. Nothing special. The service was very kind and funny. The price is higher than ours expected but not too expensive. Normal. Summing up: -Location: 8/10 -Food: 8/10 -Service: 9/10 -Price: 7/10 If you are in Setúbal (we took a Uber for go there to Setúbal) or in Palmela, you have to go there because It’s very good and also close to the restaurant, there is a nice view. Very good restaurant! Third time we were here and enjoyed every single bite. We prefer to have the bites to share and order multiple plates, but you can order a steak or something like that as well. If you go for the small plates and share the snacks, you’ll be satisfied and you’ll get the chance to experience the variety they have. From meat croquetes, choco frito, and goat cheese with tomato jam, to prego and padrón peppers.

Jan G — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by my (business) hotel, and I cannot understand why. It was around 21:30, and the restaurant was totally empty. - But this restaurant is still open and it's a good restaurant - I was told. There were 2 young ladies serving, and doing their utmost best. Absolutely not any complaints about them! The red house wine was really good, I must admit. But I s arted to ask myself questions when the " authentic Portuguese beef " was served. Good cuisson I must admit, the egg over it was recognizable as Portuguese, for what it's worth and is this what you are proud of serving it, and in a sauce of grease? Making well prepared French fries even seemed to be a problem here. Then my assumption was acknowledged. The owners and/or related to, started talking and making phone calls in an empty restaurant next to my table. I was astonished! I have no idea what these people are doing in the restaurant business. Probably just making money. Without any affection with the art of gastronomy and hospitality. Overpriced restaurant without a soul.
Rick W — Google review
Excellent place for a great variety of tapas. Only tried a small portion of what the menu can offer but the taste and quality was right on the spot. The restaurant is well located with friendly staff. The prices are on some of the dishes a bit overrated and the wine selection is somehow limited compared with the food offering, but served at the right temperature in the proper way. I strongly recommend it if you want to skip the traditional charcoal fish that any other restaurant in the area offers you.
BioTula — Google review
Wonderful restaurant with great tapas! Even with a scorching summer day, the outside tables were perfectly guarded from the sun and wind, with a mild breeze from the sea reaching us occasionally. The service was impeccable and all employees are very friendly. Many more tapas to try on the next visit (soon!).

This place has a lot of potential. The view from the dining area and location is great. Service was excellent as well. The reason for three stars is I ordered my steak medium and you can see by the photo, it was not medium. At least by my standards. I did ask them to cook it a little more and it was still off. My wife's veggie lasagna lacked pasta and had way too much cheese. On a positive note, the appetizers & sides (salad, tempura green beans, empanadas, rice, veggies, mashed potatoes) were very good! You get two very large empanadas. Not your typical size. The chocolate mousse dessert was average at best and said it came with peta zetas which it did not.

Simple and honest good food with reasonable price. Ask Idalina, the third generation owner, her recommendations for local moscatel and other wines to go with your meal. I had three simple but satisfying courses: olives and Azeitão cheese, grilled black swordfish (fresh caught locally) and then pillow of the bride dessert. She recommended the purple moscatel and a dry, sparking white wine.

Martróia is a seaside seafood restaurant that offers a unique menu of spicy chamucas, refreshing octopus salad, gratinated scallops, and flavorful seafood wraps. Situated on a small exterior terrace facing the town beach, it provides a pleasant dining experience. However, some customers have had mixed experiences with their dishes. While the risotto received high praise for its incredible taste on one occasion, there were instances when it was watery and lacking in flavor.
Never been but what caught my attention was the duo store and restaurant. We shared the seafod for 2 plus local cuttlefish, with some wine and beers outside and we loved it. It was fresh, tasty and in the right ammounts. Also I must say that the staff is quite friendly and profissional. A place to retturn, no doubt.

Checked out this place twice! First time ordered risotto and a shrimp burger. Risotto was incredible 12/10, Shrimp burger had a curry sauce with a very strong taste 6/10. Went again tonight and ordered two risottos, they took almost 40 minutes to prepare and it was watery.. taste 5/10 Came to eat amazing risotto again, but I think chef was different today. Don’t wanna gamble anymore😅

Daedalus — Google review
My wife and I took an Uber to Setubal. We moved to Portugal a month ago. We decided to that we needed to take some time out and visit the sea. I originally intended to go to a different restaurant but as we were on the Marina and were near Martroia, decided to go here. On another app, it indicated that the restaurant was pricey but I must admit that it wasn't. It was indeed reasonable and you pay for what you get. So indeed you get value for money. We has a fish samoosa for starter, be careful it is hot (as it temperature hot), boy this was a delightful morsel of deliciousness. I felt like fish and decides to go for the grilled tuna and lime scented rice and a mixed salad. the grilled tuna tasted like a peace of steak and boy it was a delight. The chef knows his stuff. I ordered the tuna "mal passado" which was rare (Which I feel is the best way to have it), and it was on point. This dish is highly recommendable. My partner in crime had the prawn risotto, the loved it. It was creamy, not over done and the prawns was a generous portion. Again another hit. Than came the dessert, we were stuffed tot he gills but had to try their recommended chocolate mousse. Let me tell you about this mousse. It was one of the best I have had in such a long time, My partner actually wanted to dive in and I jokingly said that I would hold her hair back ... the waiter jokingly brought a large spoon so that she can have larger helpings than I would :-). So overall, it was a delightful experience and the food really good. I would have given 5 however, there were very little shortfalls which made me decide on 4. If I give 5 out of 5, the service and food would need to be spectacular. In this occasion, the service, however good, just felt a teeny weeny short. When we arrived, the server went right past us and ignored us as we waited like idol toads, we actually went into the store next door who basically took us to the restaurant. I suppose this was due to the fact that the waiter was busy running off his feet. However, he should have sat us down and given us a menu while he did the run around. I do think that management should have two waiters there as one could not handle everything by himself. He did try his best though. There was another and he was not always there. But that did not deter from our experience which was still awesome. Overall, very recommendable.

The prices are affordable and the selection of drinks is diverse. While not all waiters are fluent in English, those who do speak it fluently. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Palmela.
Great panoramic place . Unfortunately day I went was foggy but still beautiful! Great place to go with friends to enjoy a Palmela moscatel & a Nespresso bonbon and then stay for a meal ( why not )

Firstly the food was far better than I expected it to be. the tapas style dishes were really nice, well cooked and presented. the view from the restaurant terrace us very good. you can see the long bridge out towards Lisbon. we enjoyed our lunch and there is a 14c castle just up the road giving more spectacular views.

Lovely atmosphere with a spectacular view. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak abit of English for tourists. The food is flavourful and well presented. I personally loved their apple crumble made with the traditional biscuit from Palmela served with ice cream. They also do brunch.

Cute place with the beautiful view. Most of the dishes we wanted to order weren't available. Kids menu was great. Personnel looked very tired and upset. But overall good experience.

The only thing that saves this place are the views. We went for drinks in the afternoon and the service was not very friendly. I had the worst piña colada I’ve ever tried — do NOT order it. I’m surprised that in a place like this they don’t know how to make proper cocktails
Brenda M — Google review
Amazing atmosphere with a breathe taking views, a definite must visit if in the area. However the food was definitely tasty, but portion sizes were lack luster for the price. Still worth to spend a little more for the views.
Yvana — Google review
Service slow; both salmon dishes overcooked; the staff don't smile or engage or look like they want to be there. The location and view is breathtaking and I guess this is taking the heavy lifting of why people go there. The inside is white tables and chairs and, just a personal opinion, it's a little cold and not cosy given the view.

This two-floor space features an interior patio, exterior patio, auditorium, and meeting room. Visitors can gather information about the network of trails and adventure tourism in the region.
Very nicely Done and the best part is the staff here. They are very friendly and helpful. I recently moved from Lisboa to Setubal after 3 years and I am love with setubal already.

Lovely pit stop to the Blue House that is also tourist office. Was welcomed in and invited to visit the Dolphin Exhibition which was small but mighty and lots great information about Setubul Dolphins 🐬 and Ecological Systems.
Christine E — Google review
Nice tourist information centre with local wines shop, small museum about the local dolphins which we found very interesting, small cafe (most expensive and worst coffee and pastry I have had in Portugal yet, better to go to a local cafe) you can sit inside or outside, both are pretty. Small art exhibition too. Very classy tourist information I have ever been in. Nice to visit. Would not recommend the tourist train outside - audio didn’t work and it was a very bumpy ride! Also didn’t see great spots - better to just walk around yourself.
Mairi C — Google review
We had walked by this beautiful building many times and we finally stopped in. It is a collection of many things that were nice individually but they did not quite flow together. There is a dolphin museum, an art gallery, two fancy stores, and at least one restaurant. Everything was super nice, including the people that greeted us, but the Casa was simply not for us. Admission is free.

Very nice place to get advice, rest a while and visit the toilets if you need to. There is a shop selling local food stuff incl. wine, and t-shirts. There is also a small art exhibition for local artists.

It’s a beautiful and stylishly decorated place. Good wine choice from Setubal peninsular producers. To consume on-site is a bit pricey in Portuguese terms though. There is a lovely small museum, explaining on marine life of peninsular.

Located in Setubal, O Ramila is a renowned harbour-side seafood restaurant that stands out among the many options available. Despite the numerous establishments to choose from, O Ramila distinguishes itself by offering a unique dish called choco frito, which consists of a generous portion of crispy and tender cuttlefish accompanied by a refreshing salad. The attentive waiter further enhances the dining experience.
Miss Ana was very welcoming and got a table for my 90yo aunty (not very mobile) straight away. Mr Diamantino was very attentive and professional. The seafood rice for 2 was incredible. Very accessible prices and amazing quality.

Most of the prices are good, but also some expensive fishes, so don't mix it. Portions are quite big. Waiting lines sometimes are big and you have to be on waiting list. Service was a bit disappointing, as waiting didn't look very clean and not first day. Some things was hard to manage with him but mostly we got what we ordered. For entries was one of the rare times when cheese (goat) was really good from a local market.

Pretty nice experience and a nice view of the sea. The food was nice, not PERFECT, but better than other places I went. The only bad thing is probably he fact we had to wait almost 30 minutes just to get our drinks

The restaurant and wine bar, owned by the renowned winemaker Jose Maria da Fonseca, provides a cozy atmosphere for enjoying traditional dishes and sharing snacks paired with their exquisite wines. Despite its kitchen hours, the staff is accommodating and serves delightful plates like tuna on plantain chips even when closing.
Fantastic place for lunch! Recommended by our friend who owns a wine cellar in a town near by. Outdoor and indoor seatings. We sat outside and it’s so fun and relaxing. The spicy prawn and the pork were both really tasty! Friendly staff but they can be very busy.

This is a beautiful winery/restaurant with relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The good was well presented by the attentive wait staff. We had flavorful steak sandwiches accompanied by great Portuguese wine, refreshing crisp salads and chocolate mouse/flan/Swiss roll (they probided a variety of seasonings for you to sprinkle on the desserts). Yummy to the tummy 😋

The food was absolutely delicious and creative. From the charcuterie to the fabulous pork tenderloin, it was all fabulous. The service could have been better, though. They never checked on us. Didn't check to see if we needed refills of water or wine. Didn't offer to explain the dishes that were brought out to us. There were no instructions on how to eat the fabulous dessert (it was not intuitive).

Perfection, never had an octopus before and this place certainly did not disappoint me, great food, lovely ambience, and decor, very good service too.

Lovely place with friendly service. The tuna steak was very tender but the "bread tomato base" was a bit bland. The tuna might also benefit from a few more spices. The beef was tasty and the highlight was certainly the chocolate mousse with some side spices (pepper, salt, moscatel, olive oil).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wine Corner, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the charming ambiance and unique decor. The restaurant's interior design, with its eye-catching ceiling adorned with green wine bottles, immediately set the tone for a delightful culinary journey. The menu at Wine Corner offers a wide variety of delectable dishes, and I had the opportunity to sample some of their standout items. The "chocos (potras with lemon maionese)" was a true delight, showcasing perfectly cooked and seasoned squid that simply melted in my mouth. The flavors were bold and harmonious, leaving me craving for more. Another highlight was the "carpaccio de novilho," a dish that showcased the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients. The thinly sliced beef was incredibly tender, and the accompanying seasoning added a burst of flavors that elevated the dish to new heights. It was a true testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at Wine Corner. The restaurant also impressed me with its selection of traditional Portuguese dishes. The "gaspacho" (Spanish of origin though) , refreshing and flavorful soup, perfect for the summer season. And let's not forget the "tábuas de enchidos" and assortment of delicious cheeses from the region. The charcuterie and cheese boards were thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of flavors and textures that pleased my palate. Of course, a visit to Wine Corner wouldn't be complete without exploring their impressive wine list. The restaurant takes pride in showcasing a variety of local wines, and the knowledgeable staff is more than happy to recommend pairings that complement each dish. The wine selection truly enhanced my dining experience, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. One aspect of Wine Corner that stood out to me was the option to dine in their outdoor garden. The serene atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery, provided a relaxing backdrop for a memorable meal. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors, the restaurant offers a comfortable and inviting setting that encourages you to savor every bite.

I really wanted this place to be good. It's beautiful and service was good, but food was bad. The worst offender was the cod, which was not fresh and had a bad taste. Likely frozen and/or old. We couldn't eat it and had to send it back (which we never do). The pork tenderloin was dry and boring. The cuttlefish and fries were okay but uninspired. The couvert had good dippings, okay olives, but the bread was a day old. They tried to make up for the bad cod by offering another menu item and free wine. As mentioned, service was good. Just really hope they get fresh ingredients and a more flavorful menu.

We went there on a recommendation from someone we trusted and it did not disappoint. Restaurant
Xico da Cana is a traditional Portuguese restaurant in Setubal that has been a culinary landmark for over a century. Named after Xico da Cana, a local fishing legend and musician, the restaurant celebrates Setubal's maritime heritage. The menu features fresh seafood such as dourada, salmon, and swordfish grilled to perfection over charcoal. Additionally, they offer dishes like red mullet and sole by weight, ensuring the freshest catch possible.
Stumbled across this fabulous place after being lured by the glorious smell of sardines, grilling over charcoal. Vibes were really good and the food was delicious and incredibly well priced, especially considering the size of the portions.

Really welcoming place. We were 2, and didn’t reserve, but seemed lucky to get a table so recommend reserving. The fish is all extremely fresh. Oysters were amazing and Sardines melted in your mouth. Big portion sizes too. Would highly recommend visiting if you’re in Setúbal!

The food wasn't good. Ordered beef, and it was like chewinggum. In the beginning, we asked if there were ameijoas but the waitress told us there weren't. During our dinner we saw people eating ameijoas. The waitress wasn't friendly. We wait a long time to have the food at our table while people came after us were served before us.

Restaurante O Tavira, led by the father-son team of Joao Tavira Sr. and Jr., has made a name for itself in Setubal's dining scene with its emphasis on exceptional seafood. While Joao Sr. oversees their original restaurant, Bombordo, renowned for its expertise in grilled fish, Joao Jr. heads O Tavira, featuring an impressive live seafood aquarium that supplies their a la carte seafood feasts (mariscadas).
Every time I visit Setúbal, Restaurante O Tavira is an absolute must! This restaurant truly captures the essence of Portuguese seafood cuisine at its finest. During our visit, we enjoyed a fantastic selection of dishes – from perfectly cooked prawns to fresh clams and other delicious seafood, each plate bursting with flavor and prepared with great attention to detail. The freshness of the ingredients was obvious from the very first bite, and every dish was beautifully presented. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm, cozy, and authentic, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff deserves a special mention: they are always welcoming, incredibly friendly, attentive, and make sure every guest feels well taken care of. Their excellent service adds so much to the overall experience. We paired our meal with a refreshing rosé wine, which complemented the seafood perfectly. The wine selection is impressive, and the staff was happy to offer recommendations to ensure the best match for our dishes. Restaurante O Tavira offers a combination of outstanding food, exceptional service, and a genuine, inviting atmosphere that keeps me coming back every time I'm in Setúbal. If you’re looking for a place where you can enjoy fresh seafood, great wines, and true Portuguese hospitality, this is without a doubt the place to go. Highly recommended!

Fresh and tasty seafood, amazing delicious entries and the best sangria I ever tasted. I will visit again, many mire times again for sure. Well done "O Tavira" .

We took the tagliatelle dish and the crab rice dish. Way too big for two people. We could have taken one only. The crab dish was undercooked and bland. The crab didn’t taste fresh. The pasta dish was basically just butter and garlic, so so salty. We really didn’t like it. Service was OK but not particularly pleasant. We were so surprised to see the restaurant was almost full. Would avoid.
Elisabeth M — Google review
SO GOOD! The freshest fish perfectly grilled, friendly service, lovely location and ambiance across from the park, and reasonable prices. I love the dourada — it’s worth the extra cost to get it by the kilo (but the dourada plate is good too, just not as succulent and *perfect*). 😋
Patty — Google review
We had a recommendation for this restaurant and it was a disappointment. Big portions, low preparation quality. Pot dishes are way to big for one person and a lot is to be wasted. No one warned us that one pot would almost be enough for the 3 of us! They just let us order food we would not be able to eat (3 pots). All rice or pasta seafood pots tasted the same, rice was way undercooked. Octopus rice tasted like any other fish pot and was full of shrimp. Staff was nice but a bit all over the place sometimes.

Nestled at the eastern end of Avenida Luisa Todi, Rebarca stands out as a top choice among casual dining spots, particularly for seafood lovers. This charming eatery offers an array of fresh seafood dishes that won't break the bank, with their choco frito (fried cuttlefish) being a must-try. The light and crispy coating paired with sides like chips and salad makes it a delightful experience.
Choco Frito (Cuttlefish), that’s what this place is about. Super tasty, very light dusting to make it nice n crispy. Chips and salad on the side. Super friendly staff and no nonsense food, washed down with a draft beer and a macieira and coffee after. Also has other seafood on the menu and one of us ordered the lulas (squid) but wasn’t as good as the choco. When in Setúbal, just do this.
Elton S — Google review
The owner was being very persistent trying to make us order an extra dish which was very annoying. The cuttlefish was simply inedible! It was extremely hard, rubbery, tasteless and some parts were burned! It was impossible to eat it. Also, The soup was just average! Then at the end of the meal they told us they didn’t take card payment, which was annoying since we weren’t prepared with cash and we weren’t informed about this at the beginning!

Best octopus and sardines in town, but wait there’s more! The salad is amazing Try the dessert - made by the owner’s mum! Totally recommended

Cuttlefish was hard, chewy, and big parts of it were burned. Got charged 13 euros for things we did not order like bread, olives, cheese, and tiny portions of canned fish. Should have refused to pay that part since we didn't order them (we were surprised they were on the bill at the end). One employee (or maybe she was the owner) kept pushing us to order an extra plate of fish and that was really annoying. Does not accept cash - but will not tell you that until after you ask to pay by card Overall a bad experience and I don't recommend at all.

Super good but expensive flounder (50€ for what looked like 1-1.5 kg whole fish which for flunder is not a lot of meat), nice service, awesome grill that gives charred flavor to fish skin. Since 1974, it has been a go-to spot for fresh fish delivered daily from the local market. Managed by the charismatic Dina, the restaurant is a cornerstone of Setubal's culinary scene. It's popular among locals and even draws visitors from Lisbon due to its reputation for serving some of the best fresh fish in town.
Excelent. Restaurant popular with locals next to Setubal's Bullfighting Ring. Only serves locally caught fresh grilled fish with salad and boiled potatoes. Recommended the red snapper. Ask for the liver sauce made with the snapper's own liver.

"Verde e Branco" is one of the best restaurants in Setúbal for fresh fish. Make sure to get there early on weekends or you´ll have to wait. It is a small place so choose a table outside if you can. I hear that people drive all the way from Lisbon just to eat there. Do note that the fare is fish, boiled potatoes, salad, and a drink (wine, .etc). In other words, they don´t offer meat, aside of veggies or a soup. Deserts are extra but worth it since they are homemade. Personally I order the tuna steak which is very good.

We knew about the spot as a vegan friendly place. But we didn’t expect it to be so good. Very reasonable prices and very generous portions. If you are a meat eater that I usually am, you may have to change your perspective. I came to eat food that taste fresh and also felt good to my body during and after I digested it. I order the complete set where I got to pick one plate buffet style of all the choices on the bottom level of the cafeteria trays, 4 small pastries, 1 fresh juice, 1 soup of the day and 1 dessert. The food was more than enough. I barely finished the food. The soup was good to eat with the pastries, but the filo pastry with berry compote tasted the best out of my selection. The beet apple salad was memorable. The other foods were tasty/ filling but not very memorable. The chocolate cake was delicious! I had trouble finishing it after all the food I ate, so I enlisted the help of an espresso to balance out the sweetness and speed up my digestion. I was very full, but did not feel tired after eating all the food.

Restaurante Tasca do Toninho is a popular dining spot in Setubal's Santos Nicolau neighborhood, known for its exceptional grilled fish. Run by Antonio Oliveira and his wife Bela, this establishment started as a family tavern and has now become renowned for serving the best red mullet in the area. The restaurant prides itself on using freshly caught fish from the nearby Sado River, ensuring an exceptional taste.
One of the best grilled fish restaurants in town. It’s small so if you arrive “late” don’t expect a empty table waiting for you.
Rogério M — Google review
It's the typical portuguese restaurant, great simple food that just makes you happy. The fish was super fresh, cooked perfectly, everything was great. The desert, chocolate mouse was just as I like. Book in advance because it gets super busy, weekdays it's the work people and weekends is everyone else that doesn't have a chance to go during the week. It's not expensive and even if it was I would still go.
Nelson S — Google review
We went to this restaurant after seeing a recommendation on a tv programme. Clearly, unless you are very close local, it's not worth. Basic and noisy dinning room. Good fish, but you find the same quality in thousands of other places. Price is not even specially attractive: 50€ for grilled fish for two, half a litre of white wine, one dessert and one coffee.

Among the top 3 restaurants for the freshest and best fish and seafood in Setúbal. Just be ready to wait a long time until you are taken care of when you arrive to get a table even when there are several tables already empty. That was why last time I went and didn’t go back again. Really good Angus beef burger experience. It has a pleasant setup and vibe. The service was good, didnt have to wait too long and the burger and fries were yummy!

Burguesa Burger is a great spot to treat yourself to a wide variety of creative and flavorful burgers. Here’s what we ordered: • Cezar Burger • Goat Cheese Burger • Burger of the Day • Soft Drinks Each burger was absolutely delicious, packed with fresh ingredients and unique flavors. The crispy, golden fries served on the side were equally mouthwatering, making the meal even more satisfying. The restaurant was clean, and the service was efficient and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience. While the ambience wasn’t particularly remarkable, it’s clear that the focus here is on the food—and it doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend Burguesa Burger to all burger lovers and will definitely be coming back for more.

SAME! Best description: Food is just about average, nothing standing out with a high price for what you get. Employees just stand there with "poker faces" and are hardly proactive. Unfortunately a place to avoid in the future.

During a weekend getaway in Setubal, a couple of self-proclaimed sushi enthusiasts stumbled upon the hidden gem of Omotenashi Sushi Bar. Conveniently located near their hotel, they enjoyed the chef's 40-piece special and a bottle of Vinho Verde, which could only be ordered by the bottle. The presentation was impeccable, with a large wooden board adorned with flowers. Opting to sit outside on the quiet and serene street added to their delightful experience.
I thought our meal at Omotenashi was fantastic. We had a starter and combination platter. The quality was excellent and they really did a great job with the more creative sushi items they served. They were fun and different with taking away from the simplicity of good sushi. The classic items like nigiri and sashimi were solid and super fresh. If this is an example of what they serve at this restaurant I’d recommend it for sure.
Ryan G — Google review
Definitely a 5/5 for us! The sushi was excellent, with some unique twists. The waitress was incredibly kind. We highly recommend this restaurant.
El B — Google review
Beautiful experience. The server was the sweetest and best. This is the most thoughtful and heartfelt sushi we have had in Setúbal. Or really anywhere. We will be back with reservations well in advance. They fit us in last minute on a Tuesday. We were so grateful. Nice added details from the salmon in the miso soup, to the subtle truffle flavor of the salmon roll. We got the “Combinado 40” sushi & sashimi board along with a “Hot Special” as a starter. These were white fish medallions in a wonderful mayonnaise sauce. The warm house sake hit the spot. Going to dream about coming back here on my next visit to Setúbal. Maravilhoso!!! Arigato. Obrigada. Itadakimas.

The sushi here is first rate. The presentation was elegant, the rice was cooked to perfection and each piece was crafted with care. The chef used exquisite fish and ingenious flavor pairings. This was the highlight of all the meals I had in Setubal. A must try!
Claudia C — Google review
Setúbal is renowned for it's fish harbour. The fish is so fresh and of amazing quality here! And what better dish to honour this than Sushi? Omotenashi serves high quality sushi in a small, cozy setting. The dishes we tried were all original, a little different than what you already know, but still traditional sushi, which we love. You just have to try it!

I came across this charming little find while exploring near ITS. It was bustling with locals and had a distinctly non-touristy atmosphere, which is usually a sign of quality. What stood out to me was that it proudly showcased Madeiran cuisine. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner and his daughter, who were both very friendly. The food, including atum (tuna), molha (sauce), and batatas fritas (French fries), was exceptionally delicious.
Great restaurant! Amazing food and wine for a reasonable price! Been here two days in a row and would gladly come back!

We've been several times, usually ordering beef or some of the appetisers, always very satisfied. This is really first class food for a fraction of they price they could be charging somewhere else. The quality of the ingredients, the homemade finish, the chef's attention to detail, they are apparent and make every dish not only delicious but also very easy on the stomach. Thanks for an excellent friendly service and a really delicious meal. Hoping to be back before too long.
Juan A — Google review
This burger is DELICIOUS! Holds up to ANY good burger I've had in the U.S. By far the best burger I've had in Portugal! The "bun" is a cross between a hard roll & an English muffin. Fries were equally delicious. To top it off, the place has a good vibe/decor and the owners are so gracious and welcoming.
Buff P — Google review
Good. The burger was well made, french fries coming with it were tasty. The spaghetti and other pasta (pasta oficina) were also great. When you’re hungry, a salade as main dish can be too little, as you can see on the picture. Staff is friendly. Would recommend this place!
Brent P — Google review
Oficina is my favorite spot for hamburgers (medium rare for me) in Setúbal. I've had most of the various burgers on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. My wife usually has one of the specials, and those have uniformly been excellent too. Have not been there for dinner yet.
Matt — Google review
Fantastic burgers!!!! They have impressive options. We had both beef and chicken burgers and loved them both. The breads, the meats, and the ingredients were all top notch. The service was also on point. They had the typical Sagres beer but they also had beers from Maderia. I recommend sitting on the back deck if the weather is good.
Ken W — Google review
We stumbled upon this little gem while wandering around near-ish to ITS. We saw it was very busy and bustling and with non-touristic appearing folks, and that's usually an indicator of high quality We especially liked it because it's Madeirense. We chatted at length with the owner and his daughter. The food (atum, molha, batatas fritas) was delicious. The poncha maracuja was intense, and a nice reminder of our months in Funchal.
Lucy F — Google review
I ate there twice. The service first time was excellent. The second time was not good. Food took a long time to come and when it did it was not cooked as ordered. The food and atmosphere in the courtyard are very good. There is also a varied menu. This was my third time at this restaurant and I have to lower my rating. The veg soup was more like puree than soup. Maybe it’s Madeira style (I don’t know). The hamburger was cold and the fries piping hot. I guess the burger was cooked way before the fries so it sat a long time waiting for the fries which were slightly less than thoroughly cooked. Good dessert and coffee but I was glad to get out as it was so noisy. Sitting in the terrace on a nice day would be the main reason to go back, if I go back. Also, not sure why they don’t have an English menu. They give you a Portuguese menu and then take your order in English.

Casa Morena is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Troino, a fishing district in Setubal. It is closed on Mondays when fishermen don't go to sea. The owner, Mr. Horacio, runs the place with kindness and a lovely smile.

Restaurant
Nestled on a quaint side street in the heart of the old town, Tasca Do Choco is a charming little tapas restaurant that exudes warmth and care. Run by a dedicated woman and her young son, this cozy spot offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. While the menu may not boast groundbreaking dishes, each item is thoughtfully prepared.
Superb local delicacy Choco Frito served fresh and quickly. Beer served icy cold in clay jugs is a bonus too. Prices are excellent. The clean open kitchen shows you that they're serious about the hygiene inside, the near constant pigeons walking across any empty outside tables, however, isn't nice! Every table should get a good disinfectant wipe when a new guest sits down.

We Just ate the Most delicous Portion of cuttlefish (choco frito). The Portion was big, everything was fresh the Presentation was beautiful and the taste was amazing. We will definately come back. The Service was also very friendly :)
Gianina N — Google review
Tasca do Choco serves lots of Choco for the price, but the Choco's batter was very salty. Maybe as finger food, it was designed to get me to drink more beer. I had to drink lots of water to balance out the saltiness. Overall the first few bites were delicious! The sangria was sweet and fit my palate!
Allen P — Google review
The food was prepared fast and it looked really appetising. My order consisted of fried cuttlefish, fries and a salad on one giant plate with a little bowl of sauce. I really liked the fries and cuttlefish, but it tasted overall bland to me. It was very filling, so I could barely eat it all up. This is very much based on my taste, but it did feel like high quality food.
Angela — Google review
Ok hear me out, never had eaten chicken soup with cuttlefish, but this one was amazing, it tasted like chicken soup but had the little cuttlefish pieces and a few clams inside, a bit on the salty side but it tasted really good and fills your tummy fast. I tasted the fried cuttlefish but it wasn't out of the ordinary and also a bit oily and salty. Overall really nicely priced placed to eat after you just came from the beach and need a quick something to fill you up!
Alexa — Google review
The cuttlefish was good but the fries that came with it were cold. That is however not surprising since we waited 1 hour for our order to arrive. Last but not least the place is pigeon infested with pigeons walking around and eating of the leftovers on the tables even inside of the restaurant.
Илия — Google review
I don't know why this place gets such a bad rating. It's a wonderful place for Setubal food. The Cuttlefish wasn't greasy at all, and the Cuttlefish with green sauce was superb as was the soup. The portions are generous and the price very reasonable.

(Translated by Google) Simply awful! The service starts with me talking to the man who's serving me, and he doesn't answer me because he's simultaneously using his phone. In other words, ordering an ice cream took about four minutes—one minute was spent choosing, the rest was spent using his phone! I ordered a baguette that, besides being expensive (€7.50), was inedible! It had to be thrown away because it was simply inedible and tasted really bad! Finally, it's impossible to be on the terrace with the amount of flies because the tables aren't even cleaned. I don't think I've ever left a place so disappointed.

As if that weren't enough, the person who appeared to be the manager came to the server's defense and rudely stated that masks weren't worn there and that she wouldn't serve the customer. If they don't mind coughing on the ice cream in front of customers, imagine what must happen out of public view. Restaurante Cervejaria Novo 10 is a must-visit in Setubal, Portugal. It offers incredibly authentic traditional choco frito and amazing seafood dishes, including grilled, fried, soups, and salads. The service is exceptional with the owner and staff going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Visitors have praised the friendly and welcoming staff as well as the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Additionally, it's known for its great quality-price ratio.

From the first greeting to the last espresso, Novo 10 delivered a masterclass in hospitality. Our seafood platter boasted mussels, prawns, and tender cuttlefish hotter than the Setúbal sun, yet served lightning-fast. When my friend mentioned it was her birthday, staff whisked out a candle-topped slice of almond cake on the house, sparking applause from nearby tables!!!

We went here for lunch today and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. When we sat down, the table was already set but missing basic things like glasses and napkins, which gave a poor first impression. Even worse, we had to wait around 40 minutes before anyone came to take our order. This only happened after the chef himself repeatedly asked the staff to finally come to our table. The waiter who eventually arrived did not even bother to apologize for the long wait. It was not because the place was too crowded, but rather because the waiters seemed to completely ignore us, even though they clearly saw we were seated. That said, the food itself was good and the prices were fair. Unfortunately, the extremely poor service overshadowed the positive side, which is why I can only give 2 stars.

We were waiting for 2 hours one inside one outside. We want to eat fried cuttlefish so we waited the first hour to be seated then we we had to wait another hour to order because they didn't want to take our order. Once they arrived to take the order we ordered after she tells us there is no more cuttlefish. This after 2 hours of waiting. Then we order picanha once it arrived 40 minutes later it was super dry and tasteless authentic shoe leather experience.

Had a horrible experience here. First the waitress spilled wine all over the table, plates and my lap while pouring and did not even acknowledge that it happened. We (4 girls) ordered a Espetada each obviously not knowing how much food it comes with, the waitress made a face but did not inform us that we were literally ordering more than a kilos worth of meat each, in no world would we have been able to finish all that food. It’s not even a matter of feeling scammed out of our money or the lack of common decency, it’s the fact that so much meat was willingly wasted and thrown away. The worst part is that the meat wasn’t even edible, it was dry bland and hard to chew. When the bill arrived they also had the audacity to charge us for a mixed salad that we never received. Really horrible service and experience over all, do not recommend.

Sea bass arrived perfectly grilled, flakes falling apart, while the owner Armando poured local white wine and explained its origin. We lingered for hours, never rushed, laughing along with the karaoke that kicked off as evening settled in!

Great Monkfish Rice. It's one of the best we have eaten!! Great service, very kind and attentive to the client. Our first time here. And we will repeat, for sure! Great price-quality relation.

Food is good. I had the fried cuttlefish which is pretty much their staple. I recommend the clam appetizer with toast points. The servers can be rude. We were standing at the host podium and a server rudely told us to get out of his way instead of just going around us. Another server told my S.O that the lobster risotto is for 2 people and wouldn't let her get it. Turns out it's good for one person after all. When my S.O asked that same server for ketchup for her fries, he said "seriously?" And got it for her. When we asked this server for our bill, he went to wipe plates before getting us the bill...

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Setubal, Adega Leo do Petisco, affectionately known as Manuel do Choco, is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic fried cuttlefish. This beloved eatery specializes in this local delicacy, serving it up either as a traditional dish or creatively tucked into a sandwich—perfect for those on the go.
The seasoning on the choco is incredible! I've only ever found two amazing spots in Setúbal to eat choco, and this is one of them. I will be honest though I think the price of the fries is a bit high and the atmosphere could be better (it is a bit noisy). The fries could do with some seasoning or a sauce, but other than that, the place is amazing. I recommend this spot if you are looking for high-quality and thick pieces of choco!

The fried cuttlefish is good, but I really wouldn’t recommend the desserts. They’re pretty tasteless. I tried the lemon one, the red berry cheesecake, the coconut dessert, and a cream roll all €4.50 each and honestly not worth it. On top of that, the service could be better….

Recommended by a local as the best place to have the cuttlefish. Place was full of seemingly locals having lunch which is always a good sign. Service was fast and friendly. Food was tasty. $32 for the large choco, large fries, salad and carafe of wine. Perfectly filled up 2 of us.

Good food. Good and quick service. We went for early dinner and had no issues with queuing or waiting. The dose of choco is quite generous, could come with side mayo or any sauce but still good and tasty simplier as it is served here. For desert we choose a slice of chocolate cake but wasnt very fresh (and dry)

The warm hospitality of the staff adds to the inviting atmosphere, making every guest feel valued. Visitors rave about their delightful interactions with the owner, who takes time to ensure everyone enjoys their meal.
This place is a must. The service was incredible so were the foods. The owner, a very nice lady, was visiting the tables to make sure everything was good. The food was amazing. It’s however relatively quite pricey. What kinda made me happy about this place was that there was a homeless person outside looking at people eating and I wanted to get him a meal but I couldn’t communicate with him in English. I talked to the owner and she told me they were already giving him food. And they did :)
Mera B — Google review
We walked along the road an noticed severe restaurants trying to get people in to eat. Charro co had a woman work hard to get people in and it worked. We came back because she seemed nice and very convincing. The inside looked nice and the restaurant was about 70% full by the time we ate it was 100% full. Yes I could see the music was a bit loud and I would prefer a more mellow music more português it would definitely add to the experience and make it more suitable. I had Choco frita ( cuttlefish fried and razor clams ( 1st time)) my wife had curry shrimp. We sadly had to order fried potatoes on the side it did not come with the meal. We ordered the house wine which is from the region. Food: Cuttlefish fried was good just like I had it the other day. The razor clams was ok, I never had it and it was a lot. Could not finish it but it was not my personal favorite. Fries was enough for two people, my wives curry nice flavor. We asked for Pir-Pir and pepper flakes to spice up our food ( personal choice we like it hot). Wine was good for the price, maybe a bit dry. Service was good. There are many restaurants along the same road, maybe they are better? Who knows until you try them. Can I recommend this restaurant… yes I can, overall it was good.

We took the mix fried fish platter-it had more shrimp heads and bad fries than anything else. We also had the mussels. We could eat one or two-the others were not opened or looking bad. We returned it to the kitchen.

We tried the “Arroz Rico de Pescador,” and this dish is delicious. You can share this plate with two more people because it’s large. The service is good, and the staff is always attentive to your needs.
Ana E — Google review
Three of us will never come back here! The food was not good - the shells (canivetas/lingeiraos) were dry and overcooked, choco fritto was chewy, everything came so late that we had to ask twice, vine was warm even we specifically asked for cold and than we waited for 15 minutes for some ice, 4 people were serving us without any improvement, and at the end after waiting for 20 minutes to pay we had to go out so they would take us seriously- and then the fifth person finally tom the payment! This was ridiculously bad 😂😤😡
Sanela B — Google review
In most of places in Portugal you eat great food, even if it is simple. In this restaurant we ate only choco frito, so I cannot speak for the rest. But as it is the meal this place is known for, it speaks for itself if such a meal is not well fried, dry, served with only a small amount of mayonaise. The service was chaotic, not concerned a lot for customers and we waited for this badly prepared dish for 40 minutes. I feel very sorry for the bad name, such a place does for portuguese cuisine which is simply rich and great- and in so many restaurants the employees take a professional pride in doing their best, but this is not the case..
Fishisflying — Google review
Incompetence beyond belief. We ordered starters and mains. The starters arrived after 10 minutes. 30 minutes after finishing our starters the waiter told us that our mains were coming shortly. 15 minutes later, still nothing. The waiter then again assured us that the food was almost ready. 15 minutes later again we complained to the waiter who went to check with the kitchen. Turned out that they had forgotten our order and that they would only start preparing it now. The staff was very unapologetic about the situation too, so we left the place, having wasted almost 1.5 hours of our time. Unforgivable…
Darwin S — Google review
The place looks okay, but all food was either over fried or of lower quality and super dry. Since the major changes of operations that took place it is no longer up to the standards of former ratings. The service was well but the kitchen did not a good job. Thus for the quality served is doesn't justify the high prices charged. Better options in town for the same money.

This place is a carnivore's dream! The T-bone steak was absolutely incredible – it melted in my mouth. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a really cozy atmosphere. While the decor was simple, it fit the down-to-earth feel of the place. You can expect to pay around 30 to 35 euros per person. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse. Maybe one would complain about not being the biggest options menu in town... but, hey, better to have the available options completely prefected.

We ordered a shared plate for two of 3 steaks. And 2 burgers for the kids from the kids menu. The burgers for kids were raw and 2 steaks were dry. The prices are quite high. Service no longer what it used to be. This is place I’ve been returning every time I’m in town for the quality and consistency of their pizza and grilled fish. However, last couple times I passed by this month while vacationing in the area, I’ve noticed the service has been going downhill. One of the worst restaurants I've been in Setúbal. We ordered fish pasta and fried cuttlefish and the outcome was disastrous. The pasta was tasteless with the fish nowhere to be seen, the cuttlefish was salty and a dishonor to this topical dish. I wonder how such a restaurant had so many customers but Im surely not coming back.
BioTula — Google review
Two stars is generous, it is because the food is good (although there is better in Setúbal). The problem is that the boss shouts at customers if they ask for fried cuttlefish. I have never seen such a situation. The man shouting "this is a fish house, who wants fried cuttlefish has to go across the road" this when people were eating fried cuttlefish at other tables. Completely absurd! Ridiculous! I'll never set foot here again (and this didn't even happened to me). So if you are hungry and want fried cuttlefish, you should go across the road, if you want to eat something else, go to another house as this is just another restaurant in Setúbal and all the fish comes from the same place.

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
During my unforgettable month in Italy, I stumbled upon Due Fratelli, a charming little restaurant that truly stole my heart. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, the attentive service made us feel right at home. We started with a delightful caprese salad topped with fresh pesto—an unexpected twist that they graciously adjusted for my daughter’s allergy by providing her a separate dish.
What a meal! Excellent service, fresh and hearty fare made with care, and delightful ambiance. To start, we ordered the pesto burrata and truffle focaccia. We were also given complementary bread and olive oil. My mom ordered the house red wine, and she said it was divine. The burrata was light and fresh, and the pesto was clearly made with care. The focaccia was spongey and crispy on the bottom, and the truffle flavor was strong but not overpowering. The house bread was fluffy and warm, and I loved the tangy taste of the olive oil. For our entrees, we ordered the lasagna, pesto gnocchi, and pomodoro. The homemade pasta had great texture across the board, and it was perfectly cooked. All three of us enjoyed our entrees, and with the generous portions, we were left with leftovers for tomorrow. The star of the show was the tiramisu! It was incredibly delicate and melted in your mouth. It almost felt like a parfait. Truly the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. If you get one thing here, get this. Excellent restaurant in a cute Setúbal alley.

This is a popular restaurant. On the night we came to visit, it was full quickly. Although full house and only one lady to serve, she was so nice, attentive and professional in servicing each table. This is really a incredible talent. For the dishes, recommended Tagliatelle Tartufat. Risotto (ai Gamberi or Funghi) was good too.

The food was excellent, no doubt. But the service and the atmosphere were lacking - especially considering the price tag. A table was booked (and paid for) for me for my birthday by family from overseas. The goal had been a special evening - and nothing happened. No welcome from the contact who had booked the table. No verbal “happy birthday” no single candle in my dessert. Nothing. It was a huge disappointment. This is not the type of service I’d expect considering the price tag. On top of that, multiple clients throughout the night were watching videos on their phones out loud so the entire dining room could hear. The servers said and did nothing. Hopefully the restaurant can improve their customer service and atmosphere to match what it seems they are going for.

Our family came here for dinner and we were so impressed with everything. Our servers were absolutely lovely and everyone LOVED their food! You have to go!

I’m still eating but I couldn’t risk forgetting to leave this. Last year we spent a month in Italy and this legitimately might be the best Italian meal we’ve ever had. The service is amazing, we ordered the caprese starter not knowing it has pesto on it which my daughter is allergic to, so they brought her her own caprese salad so she could have some. I ordered the gnoccheti with pesto, my daughter ordered the lasagne Ragu, and my wife ordered the pappardelle con carciofi e gambero. All 3 were amazing but the lasagne stole the show, it was mind blowingly good. My 7 yr old daughter that weighs 50lbs soaking wet ate an entire caprese salad and then almost finished the huge portion of lasagne because you just can’t stop eating something that tastes that good.

Had a wonderful and delicious dinner at Due Fratelli’s last night. When we were just finishing, the chef, Marco stopped by our table to chat and confirm our dinner was good. Marco and our server, Ana were both amazing and anyone visiting Setubal should make sure to stop by for a meal!

Small restaurant, nice atmosphere, excellent friendly service, and amazing food. Menu is limited but top quality. And i enjoyed the house red! Highly recommended. Suggest you book in advance (I did this by email, but they speak fluent English, so you could call)

Restaurant
O Alface is a charming family-friendly restaurant with a lovely terrace that offers picturesque views of the sea. This unassuming eatery is known for its quick service and authentic Portuguese cuisine, particularly its fresh seafood dishes. The restaurant's set-price meals, which include appetizers, main courses, desserts, and drinks, are highly regarded for their value. There's no traditional menu; instead, diners can either consult the waiter for daily offerings or personally select their choice from the fish counter.
It was very busy when arrived at 1pm but we were fortunate the weather was good that day so we were able to get a table outside quite fast. Service was quite fast despite the number of customers. Fish was very fresh, well grilled and salted. The grilled octopus was perfect! However daughter's grilled chicken was a bit dry. Good place for fresh seafood 👍🏼

this feels like a family place with genuine interactions. I love it. they speak minimal English but sufficient for you to know what you're ordering. recommend to get the set which is super worth it with bread, olives, drinks, delicious fish soup and a main and dessert. we were so stuffed by the time we were done. they even give us some chips to go along with our meal. the grilled sea bream was the best of everything we ordered. I loved it so much. it may look plain but it was extremely tender and flavourful.

We visited on a Saturday around lunchtime following a local's recommendation and man, it didn't disapoint. There is no menu available, the waiter talls you what's avaialble today or you can go to the fish counter yourself and order what you want. We ordered fish soup for starters then we had some olives, presunto before moving on to the mains, sea bream and "chico frito" which is lightly batterted deep fried squid served with fries. All dishes were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The value for money is also exceptional! A must visit when in Setubal.

Really good & fresh fish. For a fixed price of 20 or 22,5€ (depending on main fish) you get a complete menu with a drink and Coffee.

Excelent service, the food is great and the prices are very good for what the menu has included. Fresh fish will always be the best option in this restaurant.

What can I say about this restaurant…well let me start by saying that O Alface in Setúbal is probably one of the best seafood restaurants in the country- I sometimes purposely go from Lisbon to the restaurant for lunch. They have the freshest fish, they’re are right next to Setubal’s Lota (Fish market)…the staff are super fast and sympathetic- and df the owner Sr. Eduardo (Sr. Alface) is such a nice chap, very helpful, cheerful, always super sympathetic. NOTICE! to date they don’t do bookings…it’s first come first serve. The turnaround is pretty fast, but you’ll always be hanging around for long periods if you show up between 13:00-14:00, because people get there earlier. Do what I do - show up at 12:00 or 14:30 👍🏼 all the fish dishes are amazing, but one of my faves is traditional “Choco Frito” in the Setúbal style, it’s strips of fresh cuttlefish surrounded by a spices and cornflour crumbs, then deep fried comes with freshly made potato chips (French fries). Squeeze some lemon juice on top and ask them to make you a mayo & garlic dip, it just completes the taste

Nestled along the picturesque docks of Setúbal, Baía do Sado offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of this charming maritime town. With its warm ambiance and stunning views of the bay, it's an ideal spot for families and groups alike. Guests rave about the delectable seafood dishes, particularly the choco frito, which is a local favorite—though some have noted it can be on the salty side.
The food was so delicious and the service was really great, too! The Arros de Tamboril ' Portuguese Monkfish rice' was so yummy. It was for 2 people. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured our dining experience was smooth. Thank you to Soraia and the staff

The food was quite good. We tasted Choko frito, octopus, codfish and shrimps. The prices were good. The atmosphere was very pleasant and intimate. The only thing I didn’t like was the service (big delay) but this might was due to the hour we chose to eat.

Very good but the choco frito was a bit salty. Unbeatable price. The melon sangria is a must, order that one 👍👍 Great that you can book in advance. Last time we were 6(3 men+3 women) and ordered 3 doses of choco frito. This was left(see picture).

Pizzaria Anexo offers good cuisine and satisfactory service, although it may not provide the best pizza in Portugal. The establishment is located in a small and often crowded basement. While their focaccia deviates from traditional Italian standards and tends to be dry, the bruschetta Provolone receives much praise for its delicious taste. Despite an old-fashioned atmosphere and a less desirable neighborhood, the food remains consistently enjoyable.
Such a great find. We just arrived in Setúbal and were craving Italian. Pizzeria Anexo did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I ordered the calzone with extra Bolognese sauce and my daughter ordered the lasagna. Both were delicious. Enjoyed a glass of wine and olives our meal followed up with dessert. The bill was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Good food and decent enough service. Not the best pizza we had in Portugal but certainly good. We had a spot in the basement, which is a bit small and becomes crowded. The focaccia is not traditional Italian and was a bit dry, the bruschetta Provolone was really tasty. The atmosphere is a bit old fashioned and the neighborhood is not really nice, but that didn't make the food any less tasty. Next time we would try their rolled 'bread' with pizza fillings.

A very nice and cosy restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. The desserts are tasty but a little bit expensive.

The best pizza that I’ve in Setubal. Amazing taste and crispy crust pizza . Highly recommend Anexo Pizza and Garlic Bread 😋
Catherine H — Google review
Best Italian food in town. For more than 30 years too. Only flaw being the too small formfactors of their pizzas. The supposedly family/big sized pizza is basically only enough for one hungry person/adult. Otherwise top Italian food all rounder cozy and small restaurant.

We were here a couple of years ago. This place had calzones that were to die for. Garlic, butter and cheese wrapped in pizza dough. I would eat it every day! Pizza was really good too.

Best pizza in town, hands down. It's lacking a few drinks, but, overall, extraordinary pizza, service and mood. A little pricey, but worth what you pay.
