Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Znojmo

Nice restaurant close to the city centre. Waiters were very professional, prices reasonable, and dishes were very good. Tables are too close to each other, and TV on both sides takes a lot of attention, which disturbs privacy and personal contact. I'm not quite sure if this place should be considered as a restaurant or pub.

The carbonara was not too good, very dry with little sauce, also a bit too salty, not right with the cheese either, but tiramisu was not bad

Food was very good especially Penzerotto Laredo. It would be nice if I can order Losumisu take away. The servers won’t allow even with extra payment for the glass container. I asked for togo bag/box, they couldn’t not offer. Typed the word into Google chat to make sure there is no misunderstanding, I am sure they understood my need but just won’t accommodate.

Went here with my family, the vibe is good. The food is really good and the beer even better. They also have a lot of different alcohol, they also have a rum tasting menu definitely recommending number 2.

We visited for lunch on Sunday, 14.09. 2025. Very disappointed in the quality of food, and also believe it or not - the bier! I would never believe it if someone told me I could have bad bier in Czech Republic.The dark bier they brought tasted diluted, stale and lukewarm. I had mushroom risoto for lunch, which looked more like some rice soup, with rice being really overcooked. My husband had some "knedlíky", also stale, probably just reheated and served. We both had stomach problems after the meal, with the feeling of being nauseated that lasted well into the night. I am posting this for everyone to see and be aware when making their choice of eating places. Hopefully it will bring on some improvement for the future guests!

This Italian restaurant is definitely the best in Znojmo. I've never had risotto quite like the one I had, with pulled pork and parmesan on top. Very large drink/wine menu. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome inside. Outdoor seating too. Reasonable prices. Lots of tvs, good for sport lovers. Highly recommend.

Quite a disappointment. From previous reviewers and world 🌎 wide reputation we have traveled from a far to experience the galaxy famous "hansy" owner. He is supposed to have an wandering eye for all women of all ages, especially the more mature ones. Unfortunately he was a sad 😢 no show, so we had to keep all our lusting private parts to ourselves. What a waste, they are getting old and some increase of a blood flow would do them heaps of good. Otherwise the cheese burger 🍔 which they bizarrely call a beef burger was excellent, so the pork which was also about 4* and service. Maybe they don't call it cheese burger, since the yellow thing on top isn't actually cheese, but the disgusting cheese product, but I am sure that they mean will, and are just bit unsophisticated... Place is quite professional and as good as it gets, just the reputation from the local psycho Patrik Svoboda and his deranged woman it looked like more fun to be had, but unfortunately just a great food and service. The cheese is quite a tragedy, but maybe just in mine and Marco Pierre White's world... Otherwise I'd give them 5*.

Pleasant and attentive English speaking service. The place wasn't particularly busy and the food served was somewhat bland and tasteless. We tried two different dishes and there actually wasn't much of a noticeable difference. As far as Asian cuisine goes, there are definitely better locations to visit.

We were very satisfied with our visit to the restaurant. The service is excellent, the waiter was very nice and helpful. We waited a little longer for the food, but it was worth it. The spicy shrimp soup was excellent, as well as the noodles with beef. The exterior is a bit old-fashioned, but don't be discouraged, this restaurant is definitely worth a try.

Very good place at all! I have very well prepared steak! Surely fresh and delicious! Salmon, salad and chabatta was ok! Draft beer was just as most in the Czech! Only minus was the prices. Overall recommend the place for the lunch and dinner.

Steak was okay, wine was good but beware of over-charge! Check your bill when you pay and only cash available. But you can try good wines other places in Znojmo. Bread does not include your menu (you should pay for it!)

To avoid! Not friendly to tourists! The accept only cash. when we asked the confirm they accept EUR. The food was Ok. but when we got the check, we found out that we were charges us for TAP WATER 2 EUR per person, and the exchange to EUR was over-calculated by more than 10%!! When we paid with EUR, we received back change in local currency which was miscalculated. When we ask about the change they just gave us the right sum, with no apologizing for their mistake. The staff wasn't friendly at all.

Quite ordinary - considering the very high score at Google we went for a lunch there. Have to say stuff was very attentive and friendly real professionals, and here ends pluses. Pate with cranberries was dull and nothing better then what you can make easily at home by buying those at local shop and probably you will look for better quality. Bread was just baguette cut to three pieces. Gnocchi with tenderloin cuts was nothing special just ok. To close this review... Do not expect culinary masterpieces as there are non. Restaurant it self is ok but more to normal daily lunch place then something special. Oh one plus extra Dalešice beer was great.

Really nice restaurant with rustic brewery flair. Serves the, imho, best beer in Znojmo -znojemska Pivo from the brewery in the castle. You gotta try the chips with the garlic dip, just amazing!! You can also buy cold beer in 1L bottles for drinking on the road or for at home. Just great

I hate to give the restaurant 2 starts because the service was really good. We had a dog with us on the terrace and she was given water with out us asking for it. What really killed the dining experience was finding hair inside our caesar salad, especially during the ongoing covid pandemic. Dining establishments such as hoZpoda should take additional precaution when preparing/serving dishes.

Nah - not recommended. Beer is ok, place is nice, staff friendly even though no effort speaking English. The food looks good in the picture, pity that the goulash was tasteless and the ribs were just fatty. High potential for a similar local restaurant in such a cute small town.

Beer and staff was super nice and friendly, I'm guessing this might be a nice place to go for some snack and a drink in the evening, and I'd recommend that. However, were here for a late lunch/early dinner started with a cold soup. Then the mains came, the meat, as pictured, was so dense and chewy it was a bit hard to eat, with a bland and quite meh sauce. Schnitzel was cooked to heck and then some, very dry as well, and I had to spit a piece that was so chewy I couldn't swallow it into a napkin

Attended this place to have some drinks with my friends. As it was summer, everybody was sitting outside rather than inside. The place was completely full. I liked the fact that I could have had decaf in the evening. Thumb up for that! There were some both strange and interesting plastic tree decorations inside. Combined with the spot lights, they create cozy atmosphere. At the same time, they might look cheap to someone.

The restaurant has a comfortable great roofed terrace with a wonderful view on the river loop and the national park. Great place to have lunch if you have a stop in Znojmo or just sauntering through the historical center of the city. Grilled picanha cut was just amazing. Last time ate it in Portugal and never think that I'll find it on the Czech-Osetrrich border even in better quality. I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend this place to have lunch or dinner for couples, families or friends in Znojmo. Even if you'll have to wait 10 minutes until you'll have a table available. The terrace is quite large and you just make photos waiting or go by the old town walls. Food worth your while.

Great place with magnificent view of the castle, valley between the hills and lake. The restaurant had a burger weekend and it was delicious. One of the best burgers of my life. Big, tasty and with great sauce. Highly recommend to everyone!

Breakfasts are AlaCarte, and I must admit it is much better than usual swedish table. The restaurant is run by two young but talented cooks, with personal and most warmest and welcome attitude to every guest. If you happen to visit Znojmo, please come to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

We visited the restaurant for a quick lunch - food was average, the service was poor. When ordering, we were asked if we could do it faster as they have two big groups to attend to. A long prolongation and no apology, we could be happy to get served some fries and cheese. If not making it work, the restaurant should be closed for those big groups and two servers working in the whole restaurant.

After we touched our card to the terminal to pay, the waiter told us that there was a problem with the terminal, which did not want to print out the confirmation (the paper was stuck). Lovely little wine bar with a surprisingly wide selection of varieties. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgable about all they have to offer. During the visit we tried several types of rosé that were each delightful in their own way. The location isn’t the most accessible with descending steps as well ascending steps to access the toilet. The toilets are kept very clean and are inviting. Definitely worth a visit in the area.

Surprisingly we found this restaurant on HappyCow as one of the restaurants serving vegan food. We decided to have our lunch here, which was naan, rice, veg vindaloo and mushroom curry. The staff is very polite, the food was very nice, but if you want authentic flavours this is not exactly the usual indian food. Tasted nice but waited 1 hour for it. All over it was a life saver and also well priced meal in a nice location.

The food quality is A surprise to us, esp the garlic soup and the grilled trout. A good place to dine with reasonable price before you cross the border to Austria.

On a quick snack stop between Praha and Vienna: 1) food: was fine. Good portion size and taste was fine as well. Price is too high. 2) service: no english menu. Not a single word english spoken. Wanted Burger, got Steak. Wanted small drinks, got big ones … 0.5l apple juice for a 4 year old child. There were 2 other tables with foreigners struggling to order. All in all, nice place for locals or if you speak Czech. Otherwise, probably better to skip.

They say good food takes time. While the soups and salads came quick, the main course took a while. This isn’t an issue because it was delicious. Servers were friendly and the decor is appealing. Pricing was good and we left quite full. Would come back.

If you feel like treating yourself to a nice hotel in Znojmo, this is the correct address. The rooms are spacious enough for a couple days' stay, the beds very comfortable. Do not be concerned about the shower / toilet set up as seen in the pictures - the door to the bathroom can be fully closed as it is part of the shower, but bear in mind if the someone takes as shower and closes the door, the toilet is 'open'. We did not experience any major issue with this. Breakfast as overall okay, I expected a bit more fruit variety than just 1 big bowl of mixed cut fruit in their 'sauces', and some apples in separate one. Also a little bit disappointed that on a Sunday, despite it being only 9:30 (breakfast officially until 10:00), the croissants were not refilled. The wellness are is quaint, did not use the pool or jacuzzi but according to a friend of ours, it is possible to swim a little in it once all the small screaming children are gone for the day (so ideally, best to go after 19:00). The sauna area was also alright, although I have to concur with other guests that for hotel guests, any kind of wellness should be free of charge given the price you pay for the room. I had a full body aroma massage, which was divine. The massage therapist Martin was very skilled and identified my problem areas without me needing to mention anything. Highly recommend booking a session with him.

Nevertheless the staff seemed to be a bit more unprofessional that you would expect from such a hotel - starting with slightly rude and inflexible staff at the reception to inexperienced waiters (nice but inexperienced :)) and missing some basics in hotel rooms (not filled in soap and shampoo). On top a big no go were our masseurs who kept talking together (not with us) for majority of our massage (massage was great though). Overall a nice experience and had these couple easily fixable things improved we would recommend everyone to visit!
