A must-try restaurant in Lund. Smoked salmon was very fresh. Lamb was very fine. Fish was superb with topping soup. About dessert, creme-brulee was soft, well sweet and good texture.

Review is a bit late, but better late than never. We were incredibly pleased with our visit, so I thought I'd share. My girlfriend and I went here with our friend for his 30th birthday in late August. We brought our 6-month old son too. I emailed in advance to let them know that we'd bring a baby, and also to let them know some dietary requirements that I have - they for whatever reason didn't get the email, but our waiter was super accommodating even if he had to solve some stuff on the spot. He also went a bit out of his way to provide some entertainment for our son. Kudos to that guy! The food was also definitely great. We went for the tasting menu, because it looked interesting and we wanted to do something slightly fancier. I had been here a few years prior and hadn't thought the food was quite good value, but in spite of the bill coming in at 1000 SEK per person (including some wine, beer, and a cocktail), I couldn't help but feel completely satisfied and content this time around. They had really stepped up their game compared to my previous visit, and are now up there with the restaurant at Skissernas, which was my favorite place in Lund since before. I often have at least some criticism of the food when I go out, especially at this price point, but this time I could not really find anything to critique. Well balanced, interesting, delicious dishes of a good size - I was definitely not hungry after leaving (in spite of not filling up on bread) but also not too full. The cocktail was also (as usual) creative and tasty. Definitely recommended, and thanks to the team at Mat & Destillat!

It’s been a while to have dinner outside at Friday then this place is certainly still the best restaurant in town! I love the Sandy Bulldog cocktail with strong coffee gin taste but very soft. The best starter is the Roding, super nice with the white broccoli. The pig meat is also nice. The beef tartare is bit too salty for me and the ravioli is tasteless so not so like them. Overall highly recommend it

What a good dinner! Good bread - both kinds. Not some store dry bread! Good butter! Amazing presentation and taste of food. Nice wine selection and bartender chose a really nice wine for me. Good cappuccino to end the dinner. It was a dinner that leaves you happy after on!

We have very much enjoyed out dinner here. The Pad Thai was exceptional and our waiter Nine was absolutely amazing. Thank you for looking after us :)

A mediocre attempt at Asian fusion cuisine, with varying quality of various dishes and components…came a cross a bit messy. Fried dumplings were ok but very fried, ribs were actually good, but the rice were dry. The banana desert was just strange. OK but strangely reserved service, a bit ramshackled decore.

Ishri gives you the best of eastern asian food experience in Lund! When I walk in to the restaurant , My expectation was to get some thai food. But it was way better! I loved it! 😍 Dont trust my words? Pay a vist, grab a bite and see!

I had an incredible experience at the restaurant on my first visit over lunch with my friend... To celebrate my graduation! The service was impeccable, with the waiters checking on what we needed and the meal was savoury and filling. Would certainly recommend it. The ambience was pretty chill.

I’ve been here twice already. Both times I ordered a vegetarian pad thai, once with rice and the other time with noodles. It wasn’t exceptional, it was alright. It wasn’t lagom. But the portion size isn’t enough for one person. It’s always crowded and loud but you can still talk to each other. Service was good with a long wait time for your food to arrive. I would say go there once for the experience but that’s about it.

Even my picky kids love the dishes. We keep coming back because the food is so fresh and delicious. The chef definitely puts love into the dishes and the presentation is colorful. Service is quick and friendly

Tasty and cozy place. They have lots of tables so it wasn’t an issue that we arrived without a booking. We had the lunch menu alternatives (quite varied for all types of diets) and it was pretty tasty. Friendly staff as well.

This restaurant had been one of the best steak restaurants in Lund, however this time was not. The size of steak has got too small probably ~100 g or such… the taste is still the same as before. Some changes have been made in this restaurant recently and I will not try here again, that’s pity since I know that was good in the past for years and try another steak restaurant nearby.

I went to M.E.A.T with my boyfriend because I had read in some reviews that they served burgers – his favorite dish – but we were told they haven’t had burgers on the menu for about 8 years. Just a heads-up for anyone expecting them. That said, we ordered the entrecôte and it was excellent – flavorful and perfectly cooked. The wine selection is decent, though not particularly remarkable. We chose an organic Malbec to go with the meat, and it paired really well. The chocolate and raspberry dessert was absolutely delicious – a highlight of the meal. Service started off strong when we arrived, but after the main course, it felt like we were forgotten. We had to wait quite a while to either order dessert or ask for the bill. A bit more attentive service throughout the meal would really elevate the experience.

Food is great here just like the service with a smile. Good choices, both with meat and without. Their steakhouse serves food with inferences from all over the world. A really nice bar, outdoor and indoor seating. For weekends, I would book a table beforehand. And I can read or recommend their lunch it’s good value.

Good Sirloin meat and service. It is probably one of the best serious meat making restaurants in Skåne. However, such a price range, I expect that the meat can be even more tender but the piece we got was full of fiber, indicating that the quality of the meat and competence of the chef. Otherwise dishes like tartare were actually delicious except the potatos which was overheated that is hard to chew. The service was good but the waitress didn’t really spend time to explain the food we were getting and just put on the table and leave. Such a price range I would expect a good service like that.

It's a nice place with outdoor seating and friendly staff. The food was cooked properly but the choice of flavor was weird. The burger tasted only of peanut butter which was a shame because the meat looked nicely cooked although the fries were excellent. The fish with noodles was served cold with Vietnamese sauce which was also not appetising.

Super friendly staff where you could really see that they enjoyed their job. The food itself was hard to critique and the various different sauces and spices was a nice change of taste from everything else I have tried in Lund. They had vegetarian options, several tables outside and a fun selection of alcohol. I'd recommend anyone looking to enjoy the sun with almost always no wind and a cold beer to check this place out.

Went here with some colleagues for lunch. Amazing service – friendly, fast, and personal. The guys in the kitchen seemed to genuinely enjoy working together, which added a great vibe to the whole place. The food was solid and well worth the price. If anything, the portions could’ve been a bit more generous, but overall a very satisfying lunch spot. Will gladly return.

It’s always amazing food here; been here before during winter time and again now during summer and they change their menu regularly enough to keep it interesting. I enjoyed the entrecôte steak that I had yesterday with the recommended glass of Argentinian red wine. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. Could eat this all the time; really amazing. I tasted my date’s oxfilé steak and it was fantastic as well. The butter fried potatoes that came with entrecôte steak were really delicious. Their Aperol Spritz was refreshing too. No complaints when it comes to food; always delicious. I just have to comment that the tables were pretty close together with other people which affected the sense of privacy somehow. Could use a couple more inches of distance between the tables because I kinda had to squeeze in between tables to go to the washroom. Service was great but it was a busy dinner so it could be a little tricky to get the waitstaff’s attention. Overall, definitely the best restaurant in Lund for dinner, I think. M.E.A.T is fantastic as well and it’s in the same group of restaurants so both restaurants are my top choices when it comes to dining out in Lund.

A restaurant where I never get disappointed. The kitchen is steady, dependable and always worth a visit. During my latest visit I had two starters and a dessert which was a great, see pictures. I often go for their vegetarian options, they always have great options even if I’m not vegetarian. Service, professional with a smile. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Eaten here several times, and never had a bad meal! The food, drink, and service is always superb. I particularly like their lunch options, and for Sweden the prices are very affordable. They also do very nice and boozy cocktails, so check it out and try a negroni! I tend to go with the fish dishes here, they have very fresh produce which makes the food delicious!

Delicious food but a bit arrogant service. The food is really good i had burrata, peppers and greens for starters and a perfectly cooked tournedos with crispy fries for main course. The decor, style and ambiance has a touch of Parisian bistro - as do the staffs attitude.

• Disappointing customer experience • Unusual and unwelcoming policies (no sharing, no split bills) • Charged for tap water without clear notice • Staff attitude made the visit uncomfortable I was really looking forward to trying their pizza, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing due to a mix of odd rules and unfriendly service. We were a group of six and wanted to order five pizzas to share, but the waitress told us, “No, you cannot share, everyone has to order their own.” This felt unnecessarily strict and unwelcoming. They also charged us for tap water. While that’s technically allowed, it’s highly uncommon in Sweden, especially without informing the customer. It would have been much better if the staff had just mentioned it when we asked, instead of burying it somewhere in the drink menu’s fine print. On top of that, they refused to split the bill, saying, “You have Swish, handle it among yourselves.” Again, a rigid policy that doesn’t reflect well on hospitality. The pizza itself was good, but sadly, the overall attitude and atmosphere overshadowed the quality. The service felt more focused on enforcing petty rules and squeezing out small charges than on making guests feel welcome. There are other pizza spots in Lund with better quality and a much more customer friendly approach. I’ll definitely be choosing those next time. I genuinely hope the owners reconsider their approach. In a small city like this, good word-of-mouth goes a long way. Treat customers right, and they’ll keep coming back.

Food was fantastic. Outside seating is enclosed and heated if needed. Staff and chef greeted us personally. Great time there, highly recommend. Takes credit card and speaks English. I got the pizza my wife got the home made pesto pasta.

Probably the best pizza in the world :) You most likely need a reservation in the evening. You can sit "outside" but it is more like inside, no problem if it is rainy or 10C outside. Always ask for the pizza of the month, they are usually super!

The absolutely best pizzeria in Lund which provides authentic taste of Naples. The edge of the pizza crust is al dente while the flat part of the crust is as thin as paper towel. Besides, the topping of the pizza is savory. In a nutshell, fantastic Neapolitan pizza I strongly recommend.

Definitely best Italian dishes in town, and beyond. Probably one of my best Italian meals ever. Waiting time wasn’t so long but we’re early for dinner so. Service is 99% on point. During summer sitting outside would be a perfect choice.

The only place in Lund where you can eat a real Neapolitan pizza. The dough has the right consistency. It has the bubbles, good bottom crust. Possibly ask the chef to add more tomato sauce (depending on if you like it a tad moist). All in all, tried several pizzas and they were very tasty!!

Great spot in Lund! Great tasting pizza 🍕 and good beers! 🍻 Nothing more to say actually everything is normally priced as you would expect from a neighborhood pizzeria. A bit more on the fancy side since it's more of a restaurant than pizzeria actually! Atmosphere is nothing speciell nor is the decor but the outside seating is pretty comfortable in the day and in the evenings. I can recommend this as a great tasting pizza place!

We went to eat pizza at Ved, ordered 2 types of pizza and both were just perfect. I recommend to go to Ved, if you want to try pizza in Lund. Service was perfect and atmosphere is very good as well.

If you are in Lund, Sweden, I highly recommend this restaurant. They spoke English, everyone was very friendly, fast service, and best of all gluten free pizza dough option!!!!! The below photo shows my gluten-free pizza and my husband's wheat dough pizza. We got the mushroom pesto ones, and ate all of it!!! It was delicious!

Overall great food, with tasty sourdough pizzas and delicious starters! Their bacon pizza is amazing, as is the Osten, with fig marmelade!🤤 Waiters were a bit weird, but kind and fast enough. Service has improved since my first visit. A solid option for a tasty pizza meal in Lund! Will visit again!

Waited 45 minutes for burnt pizza with 5 small pieces of meat. If I am to wait that long, the least one can do is to communicate it to us in advance so we would know it is a long wait

Best pizza I’ve had in years! We sat outside on a lovely sunny Saturday in August. Waiters were lovely, Fleetwood Mac playing on the speakers, and pizza tasted amazing! If you like authentic Italian stone oven pizza, this is the place to go for. We’ll be coming back.

We saw some diners having french fries and wanted to try. To our surprise, once we entered we were informed they serve pizza only. Probably all people outside brought their french fries from home. Completely disappointing service. This is not the way to attract customers.

A very nice, well-attended restaurant. Stylishly furnished. A huge pizza oven is there as a highlight. In retrospect, I regret not having ordered a pizza. The menu is kept small and fine. A lot of truffle influence in the dishes. High class. Very sophisticated dishes. Good wines and top service. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Been here a handful of times. Usually very helpful staff and pretty decent food for a good price. Today there were a young blond waitress that placed us but then never came to our table again. No water, bread. Nothing. At 25 minutes and still no menus we left.

Pasta are pretty good. Not the best I have tasted but rather fine. Seafood tastes ok too but not exactly cheap. Could be ok for a weekend dinner

Pizza here is excellent. The alacarte has been a disappointment. But go for the pizza: the wait may be long so book if you can. The waitress is fantastic, she is fast and well able to deal with the always busy restaurant floor. The pizza has good authentic ingredients and plenty of flavor.

I’ve been here twice already and ordered online from them twice. The two times I’ve been I’ve had pizza (vegetarian) and absolutely loved them. It was delicious, really filling, not greasy and not salty. It was all the right balance except maybe for the crust which can get really dry, I do enjoy crusts very much🫣 When I ordered online it was always white sauce pasta with their own brand of chocolate ice cream and I enjoyed it as well. No complaints here. It can get crowded, so always best to make a reservation beforehand. Really you have to visit!

I had the spinaci pizza with some extra rucola. The pizza was super delicious and probably one of the best I had in my life. I paid 152 Swedish kronor for it. Water was free. The service was kind and attentive, but the table where we sat was a bit dirty. However, eventhough we sat outside during some chilling weather we felt cozy due to the radiant heater which provided a warm athmosphere. Thats why the photo of the pizza appears so red.

Nice little spot for pizza. Though I must say, they have changed the menu and the pizzas just don’t seem as good as they once were. Nevertheless, it’s still an okay pizza and prices are somewhat reasonable. Also good for vegetarians, and those looking for gluten free or whole wheat crust. The pasta also looks quite good...maybe it’s better than the pizza these days!

Delicious Italian pastas - Alfredo pasta and penne in tomato sauce. Decided to customise my order with chicken added to my penne! Both the pastas ended up being tasty! Highly recommend trying their tiramisu! It was melting in the mouth delicious !

Delicious pizza, really friendly staff, salad and bread included with lunch. In April 2019 they offered 4 options for lunch, 2 pasta and 2 pizza options, as well as a la carte. I had one of the pizza options, was delicious Italian style pizza. Prices in April 2019 90 to 110 kr, not including coffee. Will return, food definitely price worthy.

For me this is a great food experience with seasonal produce. Scandinavian flavours, just how I like it! Simple and perfectly executed. The only minus is that the Croquette of duck leg with Västerbotten cheese, cranberries with rhubarb and pink peppercorns were finished when we wanted to order another round of it. Seating both inside and outside. Stylish, simple and very Swedish interior. The service is great!

The best fish restaurant I ever had! Certainly among the top restaurants in Lund. The torsk fish is cooked perfectly in time. Tender enough to melt in your mouth. Oxe is nice too. Had one glass of red wine 🍷. Perfect time nowadays sitting outside enjoying the summer weather with the sun! Recommend it!

Little did we know about the existence of this restaurant on the premises of the Skissernas Museum until we visited the museum on a Thursday evening when it's open late. We managed to persuade the maître d'hotel to serve us a selection of their fixed menu after we had visited the exhibitions. We were surprised by the quality of the food and the delicacy of the compositions. This place largely outweighs any other restaurant in town. Highly recommended!

The food is great but very pricey compared to the amount served. We did not like their summer concept (medium dishes of an average lunch price of 199 SEK). When we asked if we could have potatoes as a supplement, they said no which was surprising. Service was OK, but slower than we enjoyed. We skipped dessert because of time constraints (service was too slow to take our order). The atmosphere is very pleasant- and the venue feels exklusive.

The cooking here is superb and it was lovely to see local Swedish wines on the menu too. We went for the four course menu and everything was delicious- particularly the desert. I think you need to book as we saw some walk-ins turned away even though the restuarant wasn't full. (This was for dinner. Maybe different at lunch.) All Lovely!

I enjoyed a fantastic lunch out with my colleagues. More than a fixed daily special, they also have a series of additional dishes available, as well as a 3-course set. I ordered the duck, with chanterelle mushrooms and potatoes. It was really delicious. The interior is also quintessentially Swedish, very simple and cozy. The service was very kind and relaxed. Lovely lunch in nice surroundings! Situated next to the museum with the same name, the restaurant offers a really good lunch. A limited amount of la carte and a “today’s special”. I had the pollock with asparagus. Delicious and at 165 SEK (15Euro) it is a bargain! Only small minus is the noise level.

This is a super amazing vegetarian restaurant in Lund, they serve amazing, tasty, "saatvik" food... I was in Lund briefly and already been their twice... Really really happy to have the food here ❤️

The food is good and the prices are cheap. My only complain would be that I was told “not to serve that much salad” because it was a student menu. As far as I am concerned regular and student menus should be equal.

It’s a really nice cozy place near Lund C. Only vegetarian meals are available at a reasonable price. Student discount is also available. You can have a big portion of meal including salad, soup, bread and tea/coffee too. The atmosphere is really good. Staff is super friendly. Indian foods with Indian hospitality. Fixed menu for weekdays. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely little vegeterian place, almost hidden away just outside of the most central parts of Lund. Have walked past it several times without noticing there was a restaurant here. Good amount of food, nothing super fancy but great for the price. Decor is super cozy, it felt more like sitting in somebodys old style dining room than a restaurant. Staff was friendly. Would absolutely come here again.

Dropped by on day trip to Lund. Arrived towards the end of the lunch session, had to wait about 10 mins for a table as was still busy. Had the fish soup and fish of the day, both excellent. Also had dessert (fruit crumble) which was good too. The bread and salad were self-service and included. Staff were very friendly. Overall, a great spot for a meal.

We came here to try some Swedish dishes and were pleasantly surprised. My first time trying the Malmsten fish soup here - possibly the best soup I've had so far. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great service. Love the bread and salad bar as well! Highly recommended.

Was recommended by a friend that this was the best fish soup in Lund. Indeed it was excellent! Service was also tip-top, waiting time was not long and the freeflow complimentary freshly baked bread and fresh salad with honey mustard were amazing!

Excellent restaurant in the center of Lund. Great service and a really tasty shrimp sandwich. There seems to be a shortage of eggs in Sweden, so there was no boiled egg on my shrimp sandwich, but it was otherwise of world-class quality.

What a great meal, if you have a chance you should stop for a meal here. Attached to a fishmonger stall in the hall, the fish is fresh and you can tell from the taste. While the menu is minimal, it means what they do they do it well! This is one location I really wanted to hit up, and I am so happy I got the chance to, one of the best meals I have made in my many travels.

A little piece of the Tyrol in Lund. The schnitzel place to go to! Classic food cooked with love and tenderness with the flavours. Fun also with 1-meter beer tasting. Small and cozy place, perfect for groups of friends or a relaxed date night. Works just perfect in company of a nice beer as well. I have tried most everything on the menu and never been disappointed yet.

The schnitzel was not good, but believe it or not, the service was even worse… I would like to bring attention to my brothers cousin beautiful person. He liked since a long time to play with the children that he found from the school. Thank you 😊

One of the best restaurants I went to eat in Europe. Its simplicity is the key to the success of this place. the excellent cordiality of the people who works in this place makes you feel at home. The food come very quickly to the table. the cleanliness of the facilities and bathrooms is optimal. At lunchtime you can choose typical Austrian food with a lot tasty sauces and accompaniments. When is time to drinking, they have a wide variety of beers of all colors and flavors, with excellent body. when ordering dessert they have an option with hot pudding, cold ice cream and other things that create a unique combination of flavors. I recommend this place to all the people who pass through this city, it was a very pleasant experience, of course I would repeat it. Located in the basement, which is particularly nice when the weather is bad. You don't feel like you're missing out. Friendly, helpful and quick service. Good Austrian food, nothing too fancy. Big portions and reasonable prices. Gluten free and allergy aware. They even have the biggest selection of gluten free beer in Lund! The place is a bit on the smaller side and is quite popular, so definitely would recommend booking. You could sit by the bar though, but I don't know if you could eat there.

AUSTRIAN/Bavarian Restaurant in Lund 🇸🇪. Whilst staying in Lund we did find this Restaurant which is based in a cellar. Food was good and Beer tasty. Waiters very friendly. Good that we did make an online reservation..... otherwise no chance to get a seat/table.

Eating at Rauhrackel is an investment in good times and good food. Their 1meter beer tray is a perfect start of the journey, which takes you from tasty traditional treats of the alps, to schnitzels and beyond your imagination of what you think you know about cousine. A must visit while in south of Sweden.

Went lunch to Aiko Sushi Lund with the kids several times …and it so worth it 🤩 329: - per person for all you can eat and they of course have regular menu too. Very nice staff and the food came fast. Will definitely be back!

I had lunch here over the weekend. The restaurant was very crowded, and the space is already cramped. The staff were rather neutral, and you had to maintain direct eye contact with them for a while to get their attention. It took quite a long time to be served water, despite there being several servers. The food, however, didn’t take too long to arrive, even though the restaurant was crowded, and the flavours were good. The ginger was partly very dry, with some pieces dried out and clumped together.

I have been here many times, but this time the food was even better, they had very good quality. The all you can eat menu was totally worth it 🫶

Best sushi We ever eat in Sweden probably because all people work here are natives Asian, service is amazing kind, well respected, fast service, fresh food, full people always nice atmosphere but litle too cold inside in winter, we definitely come back, I high recommended everyone that visit Lund take bus 6 or 7 from Lund C 3 stations only

One of the better sushi places in town, and yet not even close to being the most expensive! The sushi is well priced and you truly get your moneys worth with well-sized and delicious sushi. The vegetarian options are more than there usually is. A must visit!

Visited on Friday lunch. It was crowded but we were able to find seats quickly. The lunch menu is high CP value and you can also have nice miso soup. The fish are fresh! I was only visiting Lund but I would like to revisit it when I'm there again :) the staffs speak good English! Very very good food. You'd get very much for the money. We ordered the "all you can eat" buffet and I only regret eating too much. It's very simple to order and the waiter was very patient and explained very well. Water costs 10 SEK and the all you can eat buffet was under 300 SEK. In total, we ordered around 100 pieces of different sushi bites. Some came in a pack of 1, 4 or 8, perfect if you would like to try something new. You could continue ordering as much as you wanted kitchen closes 30 min before the restaurant. We waited around 30 min for our food, but that was ok since it was fresh and handmade. You will need to order a table because it's a very small but cosy place. Parking very close, need to pay but it was not that expensive.

4,5 stars. The review is based on a 4-course Dinner for a private event. The service was really kind and relaxed. The food was Delicious, with a mention to the beef tartare and the bergamot sorbet. The nice addition was a couple of small bites in between some of the dishes. However, Since the portions are quite small, the time in between courses was a bit too long and felt I could eat more.

This restaurant was an amazing surprise. First time ever having a course dinner and it went splendidly. The chef’s creations were very surprising and delicious overall, taking great advantage of seasonal ingredients. Loved the atmosphere and style of the restaurant interiors. Hoping to visit again!

This is a very good restaurant with a fantastic and romantic ambiance . This restaurant has fixed menu but there is choice of 7course menu or a 4 four course menu . It takes approx 2 to 3 hours to serve either of the meal. There is a stuctured parking and a wheel chair entrance. This place is also good for team dinner who require long discussion s. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it is a great place to be family with kids and friends.

Fantastic place, very nice food, great flavours and combinations, can't recommend the 7 course menu enough! Also nice and interesting champagne and wines, and an outstanding service! The setup is very cosy, spacious and modern, couldn't ask for a better place for dinner!

Had a fantastic evening here with my wife and the seven course tasting menu. Every dish was fantastic and I finally understood why people say that cod can be delicious, it was cooked to perfection. Great wine and friendly service. Please note that you have to order either the five or seven course meal. Except in summer when I have heard they serve pizza.

Delightful Mexican restaurant with amazing cocktails and wonderful dishes!!! Margaritas were very nicely made, well-done proportion of tequila and lime (although with a bit too much salt and pepper around the rim). Their tacos were so delicious, tasyes were nicely combined (although they were lacking a steady structure and were a bit too oily). Overall, I would go there again as I think they can improve even more and become a totally excellent restaurant!

Tried the real Pistachio crepe at Crêperiet i Lund, recommended by a native Swede I met at the central market. Such a cozy little spot for an afternoon break before wandering through the charming Swedish countryside town. The service was warm and friendly, and I happily let them serve me whatever they thought was best. The pistachio crepe came out looking very green 😂 but I loved it! The only letdown was the matcha latte, as I found some matcha salt at the bottom that hadn’t been mixed smoothly. Otherwise, a lovely stop worth visiting. #crêpe #lund #sweden

This is a definite MUST-GO place if you are ever in Lund. The cozy, ambience with a nautical theme that is carried throughout the first and ground floor, make the dining experience so amazing. The staff were very cordial, and the only reason I’ve given it a four star ok service is because the time they took to bring our food, was too long. However, it is the crepes that are the stars of the show. Each one of them has the perfect combination of ingredients - not too many, not too few - and clearly of high quality. Combinations like garlicky potatoes with Brie, spinach and Gouda leave you longing for one more crepe, but the quantity of each portion is large enough that one crepe alone can fill you up. So if you want to try more than one, which I think you must, bring a healthy appetite along.

We visited the place on 06.10.25. After dinner, I’ve had all symptoms of severe food poisoning from the beef salad. The products were either not fresh or not meeting the sanitation criteria. Disappointing experience

The place is the winner of Pizza championship in Sweden 2023 and 2024. I tried their winner pizza from 2024 and it was really good. It had beef fillet, pesto cream and parmesan. All flavors matched perfectly without one taking over. The place is popular so grab a table quickly if you see one that's empty. Someone selected the ingredients as carefully as the girls working there :)

Gastronome offers good food at a reasonable price point. However, our recent visit for a birthday celebration was marred by a very poor service experience. While we would recommend it for a standard meal, we would hesitate to suggest it for special events where service is a critical factor.

We were really looking forward to a special night out as a family and had booked this restaurant for their seafood buffet. The food itself did not disappoint — it was well-prepared and high quality. However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by how we were treated upon arrival. We had noted in the reservation that we were bringing our two very small children, and we had assumed (perhaps mistakenly) that we could order something simple for them, since they wouldn't eat from the seafood buffet. Instead of a polite clarification, the staff — particularly the person in charge — responded in a very dismissive and rude manner, insisting we pay full buffet price for the children (1500 sek per child) regardless of their age or how much they would eat. There was no empathy, just a stern lecture about how we should’ve read the terms and conditions. We understand policies are policies, but a bit of flexibility and respectful communication could’ve gone a long way. It turned what should have been a memorable evening into a disappointing one. We rarely eat out as a family, and this was meant to be a treat. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service, we won’t be returning.

We visited the Gambrinus Restaurant, in Grand Hotel Lund. The food was good, the service a little above standard. I was shocked about the Restroom situation. The shared restroom with three toilets is just not sufficient for the size of the restaurant and open space. The hygienic situation and the toilets were quite dirty and disgusting from a men’s perspective. Not grand at all.

No Luxe in This “Luxury” Hotel Architecture aside, this property should be replaced with a more modern structure — or at a minimum, fully renovated to meet, at the very least, 20th-century standards (and perhaps 21st, if they can go that far). “Grand” need not mean outdated, but here it does. The Altis Grand Hotel in Lisbon, by contrast, preserves its historic character while offering genuine modern comfort. The Grand Hotel Lund delivers neither — rigid service, tired rooms, and amenities that belong to another era. We arrived from a transatlantic flight at 9 a.m. Both we and our travel agent had provided advance notice of our early arrival. The front desk’s only response was, “Check-in is at 3.” When I pressed, they offered — for a $30 surcharge — to have the room ready by 1 p.m. At 12:30 I inquired again and was told it was ready; the chambermaid’s signed note showed it had been finished at 11 a.m., yet no one had informed us. Without the surcharge, it would have been a six-hour wait in a small, crowded lobby with no courtesies extended — no coffee, no breakfast, not even a quiet space to rest after an overnight flight. The room was outdated and impractical: obstructed outlets, a narrow, slippery clawfoot tub with a handheld shower that soaked the floor, and nowhere to place toiletries. No air conditioning; opening the window exposed a loud rooftop HVAC unit. With daytime highs in the mid-70s to near 80 °F even in late autumn, one can only imagine how oppressive the rooms must be in summer. The restaurant, however, was excellent — professional, elegant, and truly “grand.” Next time, I will stay in Malmö or Copenhagen and simply come here for lunch or dinner. I am visiting this hotel after my last stay 38 years ago. Lund had changed and it's increasingly a tech and corporate hub plus the University. The Grand Hotel has been around for over 150 years and they have done a great job trying to preserve the decor and use a lot of Scandinavian style art and locally made furniture . The rooms are even more classic and you will feel part of history. The hotel is walkable from the train station. An easy 30 minute train ride from Copenhagen Airport. It looks like the hotel and it's restaurants are popular both with visitors and local Lund residents. Though we didn't eat here, I was told the whiskey flavored meat balls are a must try and were invented by a hotel guest. I am glad I visited the hotel again after decades.

The hotel offers Ryanair-style do-it-yourself hospitality and substandard accommodation for the exaggerated price, misusing a beautiful property in a prime location. 11 square meter room with a bathroom so small that sitting on the toilet is a problem unless you are a child, cold scramed eggs, inedible sausages, two types of cheese and no capoucino for breakfast, no butler, no help with the luggage -- no help with anything, really... It is a smirk instead of a smile. I will never return to this self-help paradise.

If you're in Lund, don't miss Gattostretto. A small, genuine and authentic Italian restaurant, but in Sweden. I took their "Pasta of the day" and it was absolutely amazing, really creamy tomato-sauce with cheese, bacon and penne. Super simple and super delicious, along with some salad as a starter. Unlike most restaurants, this one is fair in it's prices and really affordable. After the food, why not enjoy a nice cannoli and espresso? I can't stress this enough, but if you really have a home in your heart for Italian food, then Gattostretto is the place for you. Good food, good atmosphere and good people. Grazie mille! 👏

Visiting from California, I can already say that it is amazing to come to Europe and feel that you are welcome because you are part of that great cultural community, which is Europe. Gattostretto is absolutely a 100% original Italian restaurant. The owner really brought up the tastes of Italy accompanied by a great selection of authentic Italian wines! Appetizers are outstanding, main pasta couses are delicious, and the tiramisu' was for me like a deja-vu' of my grandma's one. A must try if you are looking for good food and a cozy atmosphere.

Wanted pasta & reviews seemed promising. Sadly, both pasta dishes had too much salt. The penne pasta, in particular, was way too salty. Gave verbal feedback to the nice lady waitress, but unfortunately, received no response from the restaurant.

The amazing thing for this restaurant is the basement that shows the old church from century ago. You can even choose to eat at the basement with such big open area. The restaurant offers a somewhat limited menu, focusing instead on good-quality dishes. The pizza salame piccante I had was excellent, while the spaghetti alla siciliana were just okay. Apart from the pizzas, the meals are on the pricey side. The restaurant has an impressive wine cellar.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The service was perfect, with attentive and friendly staff. However, the food left much to be desired. The beef tasted as if it had been charred, making it extremely bitter and unpleasant. The pizza was equally disappointing. On a positive note, the snacks were good. Additionally, if you sit to the left of the entrance, be prepared for a significant amount of dust and spider webs. This really detracted from the overall dining experience.

Like historical buildings and old restaurants Stäket is right. Lunches ordinary and the alacart better. Enjoy the historical athmosphere in Lund that was a Danish city before 1642.

Great tasty food! Personnel quick to serve and meet our needs. Celebrated birthday dinner here and really enjoyed it. Great interior with old meeting new. Downside may be the placement of the tables (too close to each other), at least on fully booked days, making the table talk neither private nor able to be kept in normal speaking volume.

Ordered saganaki and mixed platter. Saganaki was delicious, it's drizzled with honey. In the mixed platter the softest thing was the potato fries, chicken and beef was really dry and chewy, moussaka was normal.

Still one of the absolutely best Greek restaurants we have been to outside of Greece in the last 8 years. We keep coming back here because the service is excellent and the food is fantastic. This visit my wife wanted something a little custom. They were so wonderful about making an off Menu item. One of the places I truely look forward to visiting in Lund!

Nice place and atmosphere, the service is very nice. I strongly recommend the Halloumi cheese, which is delicious. If you don't want to try anything new. You can stick to the classic gyros, that is good enough.

Fantastic traditional Greek restaurant in the heart of Lund center! All their dishes are so delicious, prepared according ro greek recipes and aurhentic to the core. They also have amazing cocktails with Ouzo, Mastiha and other greek spirits. Their service is also top-notch, friendly and accommodating, as is the atmosphere! Would recommend it for everyone who likes good quality food!

This is really a no brainer, the food is really authentic Greek food, the Tzatziki is fabulous. Staff is very friendly and takes the time even when it was very busy during the Lunds carnaval, really like the food and the dessert was fabulous.

We had a lunch buffet. It was a busy place with lots of people. By the time we arrived, many of the dishes were almost finished, but they were being refilled. The food was tasty, and we ate a lot. Watching the robot collecting plates was fun!

It was pouring outside. We wanted to have lunch, so we entered the restaurant. The waitress passed several times with no eye contact or mere interest. We did not even see the menu. All of a sudden, the same waitress shouted something in Swedish, which the tourists were not able to understand. Then she started making signs, which looked like we needed to get out. I could not understand why it was so difficult to get a menu or any service at all.

This is the best Rosegarden I have visited. The buffet includes fresh stuff you hand to the chef who barbecues them for you. See image. You can make your own noodle soup. Most likely has it double or triple number of items to eat compared to the ones along the motorways in Sweden. You should reserve a table at the evening. Time is limited for two hours… which is just not enough for the buffet ;-)

We often come here with the whole family. Today we had a nice lunch buffet for my daughter’s birthday. Everyone is happy in the family. I love the roasted ribs most. The sushi is fine. Not so tasty but the fried covers are crispy so kids like them a lot. We particularly enjoyed the fried bananas and the soft ice cream. If you want to spend some quality lunch time with your family for some comfort Asian food it’s highly recommended.

On a fall afternoon in Lund, it doesn’t get much better than that.

The pizza was very average. Don't expect anything fancy. Secondly, the restaurant wasn't very clean. The tables were old and dirty and the prices were very expensive compared to the food.

I ordered an iced latte. The barista made it in front of me. She used some leftover milk add a little bit fresh milk to make the latte! Then she used her hands to add ice!! At the end when she tried to put a straw in my drink she dropped it, instead of picking a new one she picked the same straw and put it in my drink!! No need to say that I didn’t drink that iced latte!!!!!

I really enjoy their atmosphere and pizzas, but they have principles that I dislike; On the park facing side, they only serve pizza and snacks. This side has a more relaxed feeling and is nice to sit at during summer. On the restaurant side, they have a restaurant. This side is less relaxed. We ordered pizza and whiskey meatballs. For some reason, I can only eat the meatballs on the restaurant side, but I can eat pizzas on both sides.

We came here a couple of times for dinner now and always enjoyed it. As a vegan, there is not much variety but the vegan version of the babas pizza and the kålsallad are great. For our different non-vegan companions, the food was also always satisfying. The service is extraordinary. They take their times to explain everything, provide educated advice and are overall interested and fun. While some here say the restaurant is relatively pricey, I would say the opposite. Compared to other restaurants we visited in the area, the price is similar (or even lower), despite the obviously very well trained staff.

Fantastic location in the park. The staff pretends to be professional but not really- could not memorize the three sweets they offer. The main dish - fish was cold. The music is loud and unimaginative. The wine selection is impressive but we were served the white wine warm.

We had the "grill mix" and the entrecote was a bit tough. ( the staff offered to exchange it). The piece of herbs butter melted and then ran out onto the table due to no wedge on the wooden serving plate. Staff out of sych between delivering meat and wine and the front door did not close, so the guests needed to close it not to freeze. The waiter recommended a great wine, though. The prices for this dinner were absolutely not worth it.

What a disappointment! Very overrated place. Food had no taste. I ordered pork - the plate was only looking good but it was super dry, tasteless and didn’t feel like so freshly made. Shrimps on top were cold (for sure from a can). Nobody even asked if everything is okay and if I enjoyed the meal which I didn’t even finish.

Food tasted great, the service was great. Child chair available at door. They say they have 30% discount before 17:00 every day but it was not applied to us for some reason, so I think you have to ask for it. They forgot to give us steak knife to our steaks so it was harder to slice the meats. There was also lots of un chewable fat and other parts in the steak that you gave to cut out.

We are here on New Years eve, and were very satisfied. There was no problem with our reservation, the food was top notch, and the service was great. Our Sweedish isn't great, but they had no problem speaking English and even explained the menu in English to us. The interior is very cozy, and it has a nice atmosphere. We will be back again in the future if we are in the area.

Friendly and helpful staff. A good mix of very standard food and some slightly more adventurous choices, the venison burger was very nice. It was a nice place to be and managed to have a good atmosphere late on a Monday night.

I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience here. I sat and did work on my computer for hours and simply ordered drinks and food throughout that time and am so impressed by the service. a woman dropped and broke a glass and the server a very nice woman told her it was alright and nothing to be worried about and cleaned it right up. was a wonderful experience.

After nearly 40 years overseas, I spent my last night at my Alma Mater City Lund and dinner at Jonh Bulls Pub before returning back to California. It's conveniently located close to major hotels and railway station. It's a typical finer English pub style, the food is robust and marvelous prepared with love. The service was attentive and friendly, with an easyness you expect from this kind of establishment. And the beer taps are multiple!!!

good food but a bit too spicy/sour for me, probably great for others. i had the aloha poke bowl but with popcorn shrimp (that’s where the spice came in). a little more sauce would’ve been nice, but all the produce was perfectly ripe and tasty! very kind service, but a little slow considering we were alone in the shop and still had to wait at least 10 minutes for a bowl (perhaps in order to serve it with the sushi). maybe i expect a way too much for a short lunch break ;) i wish there were some normal low chairs and tables, all are bar style and not very accessible for children, elderly or disabled people.

This location at Klostergatan has a long tradition of sushi in Lund and Rå Epok carries the tradition well! Their sushi is well made and is distinctively recognised. The fish has good quality and the concept of not selling red listed fish is appreciated - they prove a sushi bar can manage without tuna. But perhaps the strongest contribution comes from the rice, it's well balanced both in terms of the taste and consistency. The actual bar is not large and is more suitable for a quick eat in rather than a long dinner. Opening hours are OK, acceptable due to local conditions in Lund of restaurants closing early.

I had a take away 12 piece mix sushi. The whole box was very nicely prepared and all seemed really fresh. I really appreciated the pickled red onion In the set. The restaurant tries to focus on local sustainable fishing supply, and the price was really good given the price range.

Rå epok has closed and a new sushi place named Reko sushi & bowls has taken over. I tried their sushi 3 times after they took over the place but it has always been disappointing. Not as fresh as it was before, its unappetizing and there’s nothing special with their sushi. Unfortunately they got all the good reviews from rå epok on google which I think can be misleading especially when searching for the best sushi place in Lund. 😞

Very nice sushi place. Close to train station. Had many times. Like the salmon. Saturday has lunch box menu until 3pm. Luck to get it before 3. Miso soup included.

A nice French restaurant places in the middle of Lund where you can get a nice variation of French inspired dishes. The resturant is placed in Lunds food court too, so don’t miss that one if you are around. We had oysters 🦪 and south French fish soup.

This review is based on the traditional Swedish Christmas menu. This restaurant has been an incredible surprise, One of the best julbord I have had in my 10+ years in Sweden. The waiter who helped us was proud to inform us that literally everything was homemade, from the welcome cookies and bread all these way to the sweet treats at their end. The interior is also very nice and feels warm and cozy. Moreover, the menu included dishes that are not so commonly found in other Christmas buffets, like the lutefisk. A special mention to them Janssonsfrestelse, the best I have ever had, as well as the herrings.

We have eaten here quite a few times over the years but it seems that it has gone downhill a bit. When spending 700 per person, things should be right - they weren’t. Table by the window had a chill to it - not from the window, but every minute or two from an overhead vent. Wife had the scallops which were excellently cooked, but lacking in taste. We both had the entrecôte- I ordered medium rare, wife ordered medium, but both were served medium. Hers had double the needed amount of salt and mine had none. Crème brûlée for dessert - for 100 sek, you expect a nice hard finish on the top, but these were torched earlier in the day and the surface was lacking. This has been one of our family favorite restaurants for the last five years due to the reasonable prices and good food. But it seems that the fixed price menu has gone up substantially in cost and you are no longer given choices but are stuck with the daily dish. I did not recognise any of the wait staff and the plating of my rabiff also seemed different than in the past. Maybe there is new owners or management? Tables for two also seemed crammed in. I think it is time to start exploring other options in Lund. We will probably go back at some point, but it is no longer our go-to restaurant.

I tried Beijing duck, dumplings and spring rolls. Dumplings didn't have any taste. Spring rolls were quite good. Duck was not bad neither good. It lacked taste and crispness for me. Service was great. In general, I think it's a good place, but the prices are slightly higher than the actual quality of the food (at least this is true for those dishes which I've tried).

The food is good with huge portions, but don’t go here if you’re starving. The problem is they take SO LONG, an obnoxious amount of time, to even get your food out. We waited 2 hours and my dumplings still aren’t here because they forgot.

Located close to the university main site, this is huge, authentic Chinese restaurant with a long menu. Some of the options we wanted to try they did not have on stock. They also ran out of alcohol free beer when we were there. They have no enough staff and whom they have have no clue about anything. We waited more than an hour for the food while others who arrived later were already eating. The waiter did not bring plates but put plainly the food in front of us -we planned to share dishes. The concept of spoon was unknown. The food which arrived after an hour of waiting was good, but spicy- we explicitly asked for not spicy. When complained about waiting so much the response was that an hour of wait is normal. There are too many tables so we were sitting in the door. Avoid it at all cost- there are fantastic restaurants in Lund, although the food was ok the service and the atmosphere were not.

Had visited Mui Gong last week with family. The place itself doesn't have too much of indoor sitting - but the food sure is a deliciously heady mixture of spice and subtlety. We had ordered the fiery pork with Sichuan chillies - and boy, it was bit of a hair-raising/ palate-tingling experience 🙂. It was another matter that I had to take some of the pork home and finish it the next day. Another dish we had was the Chinese burger, which seemed to be a flatbread stuffed with chicken - somewhat like a naan/ kulcha stuffed with meat like we have in India. We also had soup (in some curiously decorative cups - see attached pictures) and dessert - both of which were subtle and nice. The servers were polite - and the atmosphere quite peaceful. In all, it was a nice Chinese cuisine/ dining experience in Lund, South Sweden.

I had the dumplings and the dan dan noodles. It was great and good value for money.

(2020) So far only had the lunch, but the shredded pork was excellent! (2021) Edit; now have had some more lunch and dinners, and it's just continually great. Vegetarian or meat doesn't matter, it's all full of flavor and delicious. (2024) Edit 2: been coming here a lot over the years and have so far not had a bad dish. Try anything that looks interesting or out of your comfort zone, and you'll soon find a new favorite dish!

We used to love this restaurant when we lived in Lund (2020-2022). Even after moving to Malmö, we came back occasionally because the food (especially the Wuhan noodles and the eggplant dish) was always worth it. Today, as we are about to leave Sweden, we decided to make one last trip to Lund and revisit what used to be our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The Wuhan noodles, a dish I have ordered many times here before, were not what I remembered, nor did they match the photo or the description in the menu. The menu listed green onion, which was missing, and instead the dish contained some strong-tasting fermented beans that were not mentioned anywhere. When I pointed this out, the staff insisted it was the same dish and told us that the photos are “just stock pictures". Still, the ingredients listed on the menu did not match what was served. Since I couldn’t eat the dish because of its strong smell, we said we did not want to pay for it. The staff told us we had to pay, whether we ate it or not. After a while, they offered to “remake” it for takeaway, but it was brought back within two minutes, which made us doubt it had actually been remade from scratch. In the end, we left with an unwanted takeaway box we were forced to pay and a very bad feeling. Service was also extremely slow: my partner finished his whole meal before my dishes even arrived. I waited more than hour to get what I ordered, while other tables and takeaway orders were served much faster. Afterwards, I checked other reviews and noticed similar complaints: wrong dishes, poor and slow service, and even a vegetarian being forced to pay for a dish that contained meat by mistake. Sadly, this seems to be a pattern rather than an isolated incident. It is really disappointing to see how the quality and service have declined, especially considering how much we used to enjoy this place. Forcing customers to pay for dishes that do not match the ingredients written in the menu is unacceptable. I hope the restaurant management takes this feedback seriously, because the food used to be excellent and this used to be one of the best restaurants in Lund. On a positive note, I want to mention that the waiter was very kind and apologetic. He tried to mediate and help us, but unfortunately the chef was completely inflexible.

I was organising dinner for a large group. I chose Taperian based on the recommendation of a local friend and was not disappointed. Unlike many restaurants, which would only do a fixed menu with one veg and one non-veg item, Taperian let us order off the regular menu. I'm happy to say the food was great, especially the artichoke. Nice outdoor atmosphere was perfect for a large group.

Nice lunch place! Good atmosphere at very central place in Lund. You can get your own bread and salad from lunch. The tapas are more ordinary. At least the fish soup tastes different than the previous gamma franska. Brewed beer is great too. Will go again!

We had dinner at this restaurant after a workshop with international guests and colleagues from the university. It turned out to be a great place for international networking because there is a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes and on top of that excellent beer. We scored many dishes that we shared amongst ourselves, which naturally strengthened our international contacts)) Many of the dishes were really above expectations. The beer is not bad, but not above expectations, at least mine. Service was very fast and the waiters listened carefully to the requirements of everyone in our group. It was a Friday night, so it was crowded, and it was a little difficult to talk, which emphasizes the popularity of the restaurant. The bill was quite reasonable by Swedish standards. All in all, a great place for a not-so-gourmet dinner in the city center.

We ate there this evening after seeing the movie The Penguin lessons, which I can recommend also. The staff were exceptional, the food and atmosphere were great too. I can warmly recommend Taperian!

The waiter spent most of his attention and welcoming attitude on an older group beside us. He got oddly defensive and took it personally when we asked if we could change an alcohol-free beer we'd found surprisingly bitter. We never do this, but I know it's okay to ask for it as long as you're not abusing the hospitality. A yes or no would've been enough. He agreed after that but wanted to know why we'd ordered alcohol-free in the first place. Why ask? The rest of the staff was friendly and attentive. We tried two other beers, which were too "soapy" for our taste. That's my personal preference, though. Quantities on some dishes were pretty small, even for tapas. The artichoke with butter was great! The chistorra was scarce, one small piece in a piece of bread. Good presentation, still. The terrace was nice.

There is nothing to complain about. Food was actually excellent, better than I expected. Friendly and fast service as well. I liked it, can recommend 👌

A very nice tapas bar with friendly staff and a wide selection of tapas. Good place to visit if you want to experience a tapas bar. The 4 dishes I tried were tasty and I have no complaints about them, but they were also very standard and did not stick out in any way. The pricing in general in Sweden is very high, however for 4 small dishes none of which filled my stomach to cost 250 SEK, sort of leaves a bad aftertaste.

This is one of my goto places in Lund. Its cozy, the staff is great and the food is a pleasure. No other tapas bar/restaurant in Lund comes near. This place is also well suited for families with kids so feel free to bring them. All and all, great food and moderately expensive food that's well worth it.

Tapas were nice but the restaurant is quite understaffed. Two people on a saturday evening is kinda bad.

Just great and fresh food, beautifully displayed. Vegetarians and meat eaters were all very happy. Nice to finish your food to the very last bite and then be comfortably full, perfect portions. A place to go for a guaranteed highly enjoyable dinner. Update: been here a few times in different companies now. Always a very good experience.

Very good, authentic Vietnamese food! They even have Che, a sweet dessert with jelly and beans in a sweet “soup”. Staff was friendly and attentive. My one complaint is that the food was a little bit too salty, but maybe that’s just because I’m used to the way it’s seasoned in Vietnam.

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant. Just next to the grand hotel so close to train station.We had the summer rolls super nice for summer. The rice noodle soup I like too a bit light taste. I highly recommend the dessert as the mango beans mixes. Perfect for summer.

Very impressive! First off , the server was super attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. He gave detailed descriptions of each item while serving. All the dishes featured very fresh, flavorful , and unique ingredients. All the sauces were homemade as well. Iced coffee was super delicious. The only downside is that it was pretty expensive and portions were relatively small.

We ran in the quaint dumpling restaurant to escape the rain and felt we stepped into Asia. The smell hit our noses before we even reached the bottom of the stairs. We ordered two 15-mixed-dumpling plates that came with free soup as well. Everything was absolutely divine. I highly recommend the dumpling house if you find yourself in Lund.

A small dumpling house with great lunch meal pairing of 10/15 pcs of dumplings and rice/egg noodles. There's often a long queue but the staff can manage to release the orders very quick. Don't expect to get a seat inside as the place is too small. During summer, they have few tables for outdoor dining. Definitely 5 stars and will surely come back!

L and I are on a 3 week bicycle tour. Staying at the hostel next door to Fengsson and happily decided to try it for supper rather than cooking. Fabulous food, very inexpensive. Lovely place to sit outside. 10 out of 10!

What a place for a date or evening meal in Lund. Lovely staff and delicious food! Really decent value now that they serve the lunch dishes all day. The atmosphere and outdoor seeing are nice with some quality afternoon light bathing the area. Some good beers and drinks on tap that will compliment your meal! Would definitely be back and recommend to friends!

Small dumpling restaurant, with authentic feeling of traditional chinese shops. The cramped space, limited seats, and decoration gives you a feeling of a small family-run restaurant in suburban China. You have lot of options to mix up the filling of the dumplings. They are prepared in the small kitchen behind the cashier. Very popular with university students for take-away around lunch time.

Small place focusing on, as the name suggests, on hummus. Very niche, but for that reason also fun. I got a a falafel plate and got a plate with hummus, three rather large falafels, and a basket with pita bread. The falafels were delicious, and scooping up the hummus with hot pita was top notch. Eating on site was not great though. It’s a small place, and quite noisy. But it’s doable. Especially if you’re on your own.

Eaten here several times and I have always had a positive experience. Great for vegetarian and vegan food, spicy and flavorful sauces and hummus. The falafel is a little dry for my taste but the rest is so amazing I don’t even mind. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Good, delicious, comforting food ~ simple as that. I can definitely recommend it. If this weren’t my only day in Lund, I’d probably come back tomorrow. One small note: please consider baking your own pita — it would elevate the experience even more.

This is such a great hummus bar with a lot of different things to choose. I always pick the one where you get hummus at the bottom and maybe 5 different things on top such as boiled eggs, Moroccan sauce, aubergine, falafel, mushrooms and some spices on top of that. The price for this one is around 90kr which is pretty good. The place is located in front of Lund central station.

Excellent place just across the road of Lund railway station. The food offered is vegan and good. The staff is also good and helpful. If you want to grab a snack or a take away Humus bar is a go to place

Don’t go here. The food we ordered tasted ok, but not worth 170 kr for 11 pieces that were only ok taste, that’s not enough, because one of our orders we didn’t even get what we ordered, the pieces were different and none of out orders looked like the picture whatsoever. Even though we paid 170 kr each, miso soup was not included, have to pay extra for that! Outrageous. Also no toilet there either which was annoying. Only good thing about this place was the atmosphere, it was pretty cozy, with candles in the windows and christmas decoration too. Overall i do not recommend at all, very bad.

Bad food, nothing like the photo, get the same thing by ordering 130 and 170kr. It says miso soup is included on the sign but when we ask the server say you need to pay to get it. Wasabi tastes fake, no taste at all. Not recommend coming.

I have only eaten here once and then just tried the regular maki and nigiris, but will probably come back to try some of their other dishes as well. They have quite an extensive menu and will maybe try their "Japas" next time (japanese themed tapas). The maki rolls were pretty average, but the salmon nigiris were really good, with a big piece of fresh fish and without load of unnecessary toppings and sauces to disguise the flavor. The miso soup was also a pleasant surprise, spiced up with shichimi for some pleasant heat. You place your order by touch screen, which worked smoothly and I appreciate that you could easily customize each piece of sushi.

Very good assortiment of different kind of sushi. However, we need all the time to eat take away. The place closes at 21 and the kitchen start to close at 8.30. I mean for a dining place I think this is feasible. I would recommend to the place to change the time schedule.

This place is ok, and the sushi is sometimes nice but usually carelessly made, like the person making it is in a great hurry and stopped caring. It's sloppy and poorly presented, falls apart when you try to grab it. Tastes ok but should be better for that price.

Great sushi and a lovely atmosphere. Quite a small space, so not ideal when it is busy. However, they have an excellent take away service, so if you want to call ahead and order, it is easy to swing by and pick it up. The staff are friendly and polite, and the sushi is fresh and delicious. The pricing is not exorbitant but definitely not budget friendly. They have some 10-piece options for 85sek but that's probably the baseline of the menu. A good place to order from/to treat yourself or a friend.

Fancy place for an expensive lunch. Great food quality with a good sized menu. Staff is overly friendly and attentive. Feels like one should wear a gown to eat here. Plenty of space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors there's two floors, both have toilets. First floor has a bar.

One of my favourite sushi place in town. Great food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. They also got great collection japanese liquor especially whiskey.

It tastes good, but it’s like a light meal. Aiko sushi is a better choice if you rate in CP value.

Really nice atmosphere for a quick drink and/or dinner. I didn’t have food there but the choices of drinks were excellent. The staff was kind and accommodated our rather large group pretty easily. They also were helpful with suggestions and managed to fit us almost all together despite the size of the group.

I had the lunch burger. The party was not something I would have used I a burger. I wad well done. The bun was something mass-produced. There was a salad bar included in the price. Which is nice. The beer ( None alcohol lager, åbro) was okay

We enjoyed our dinner very well. They have english menu and the chef cooked main dishes really well. We visited as three person for business dinner and 2 of us ordered the salmon fillet and one of us ordered beef steak. This is the best restaurant that I had visited in Lund. The ambiance of the restaurant is well designed and it is stylish. The waitress lady is so polite and kind to us. We really recommend that place.

Food was great. We have twenty and they took the big party in easily. My steak was cooked spot on. The price was a bit high and there was only one toilet in the whole restaurant.

Great service and amazing food. They have a wonderful buffet with great food quality. Their attention to details tells you alot about the restaurant. Simply one of the best restaurants I have visited in Sweden.

I only had half a day in Lund and was debating between trying traditional Swedish food or this popular falafel stall with good reviews. I decided to go with the falafel—and it didn’t disappoint! It was my first time trying falafel, and I was surprised by how satisfying it was. The chicken was crispy on the outside, soft and flavourful on the inside, and generously packed into a wrap with fresh veggies and sauce. It was huge, hearty, and full of taste. The seller was also really kind and took the time to explain everything to me. There’s no seating at the stall, but you can enjoy your meal on the benches near Lund Cathedral, just a short walk away.

Greats choices, good products, the flavors are mastered...! The people are welcoming and generous. We recommend the "falafel roulé" and the "chicken talrick", these are excellent! It is a must try in Lund!

My first visit to Lund, Sweden, was with a friend who took me to Lundafalafel. We placed an order for french fries, shredded chicken, vegetables, and various side dishes. We took it home and devoured it. It was sweet and dandy. If you're in the central district of Lund, Sweden, look for this joint and eat. You'll be grateful to me later.

The falafel wrap is nice, BUT they don’t let you pay by card. They want you to pay by swish or in cash, so if you don’t have either you won’t get anything to eat there…

Nice little pub in Lund. I had a vegetarian burger which was actually quite tasty. They also have vegan options. Loads of beers in the fridge and on tap. Prices were a little bit expensive, even for Sweden. I think one of my pints was 88. The location is awesome and the staff are friendly. I'll be back!

First time that I m pleasantly surprised when ordering food. Ordered chicken fingers and turned out to be grilled chicken breast with roasted potatoes wedges. Awesome beer, and atmosphere. Service good be friendlier but they are still nice and doing their job.

Very likely the best selection of beer in Lund. Unfortunately they are understaffed on weekends, so the queue and possibility to have a chance to discuss and get guidance in the selection of beers is limited.

Ordered Prawns Vindaloo and Butter Naan via foodora. Asked for medium spice and there was no spice in it. Full of sourness and did not taste vindaloo. There was already some amount of oil in the parcel cover and I've removed an extra 50ml of oil after receiving it. Butter Naan was an average one. Very much disappointed That was my last order from Besant Restaurant, Lund.

Mostly a takeaway Indian place. Interior is not much to care for and food is average Indian food. To pricey for the given offer (even just considering food)..

The cashier needs to improve his responsiveness and customer service skills when taking orders. The food taste was not satisfactory , except that it was customized. If there are no alternative choices, then it might be worth considering going there.

Awesome food. Have lived in India and I'm picky about good Indian food. A bit pricey though. Spending 500kr for two people is too much for a little side street restaurant. Won't be coming back for that reason. Would come here all the time if they charged reasonably like the restaurants literally next door etc.

Really bad experience. Firstly when we entered the restaurant the guy on the reception was very rude and just gave us menu as if throwing pamphlets to people on streets. Then no one came to take our order. We have to go inside kitchen area to call someone. When brought items to be placed on table he was literally putting food so badly making so much sound😔 We ordered dal makhani it was so spicy that my husband refused to eat food anymore. He did not even want to taste another item which was bhuna chicken and it was soooo spicy that even I cannot eat food who likes spicy it was that spicy. My friends and my husband never like to waste food but we have to leave our food but pay full price. It's definitely not at all recommended and it's not an authentic Indian food restaurant.

I wish I could give South Indian 10, 15 or 20 stars! The entire experience was truly awesome! The setting was pleasant, with a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing surrounding. The service was friendly with just the right amount of follow up, care and even recommendations. And the food… The food was absolutely delicious! This is perhaps one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at. I had the lunch special, which included 2 curry choices—chicken and yellow peas), rice, a flat, crispy bread and roti. The aroma was just perfect, not overwhelming. The flavors and spices filled my palette with an array of warmth and sunshine. I couldn’t help but rave to my closest friends. I live in the US; however, I am carrying this wonderful experience back home with me of a perfect experience at the most pleasant and scrumptious Indian restaurant. Kudos to the chef, servers and owners! I recommend South Indian to anyone seeking truly good Indian cuisine from the region.

What a great and authentic indian restaurant! The dishes were at a great price considering the portion size, and delicious too at that. What I will say is that I personally thought the garlic naan needed more garlic, it seemed a bit too much like a normal naan. The servers were extremely kind and considerate. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and cozy dinner!

Good south Indian food, we ordered vada and chicken manchurian for starters and dosa masala & kothu paratha and some gulab jamon for dessert together with coffe. Food was tasty and almost authentic with good chutney and sambar, dosa was crispy like it should be. Cant go wrong with the combo of gulab and ice cream,filter coffe was a nice touch. We will come back and eat again for sure.

We like the fried duck the best, ordered it every time we were there. I also like the glass noodles in soup, with very nice vegetables. Wok dishes were tasty too. The banana dessert was good, just a bit too sweet. Will visit again if we are in the area.

After having a trip to vietnam, I became fond of vietnamese food. The food here is tasting the same even better than what I tested in Vietnam. High qulity, big portion, decent price and professional staff.

Ordered the fried duck with mixed vegetables in red coconut curry and it was sooooo delicious. The presentation is beautiful too. I am not too happy that we got charged 10kr (?) for a glass of tap water, which I find to be quite ridiculous. The service is okay, and the ambiance is also quiet (no music, nothing) but it is just for food and not a fine-dining setting so just need to manage expectations. We went for a late lunch on a Saturday around 2.30pm so the restaurant was quite empty with just another table taken up. Other than that, I'd come back for the food but think the restaurant owners should consider waiving the cost of just plain tap water.

I had lunch with my friend there around 12:00, it was spacious. They provided free salad and water. We ordered fried duck with yellow curry and fried duck with glass noodles. Both were quite tasty, highly recommend! You can choose how spicy you like with the food. We kept sitting there after finishing eating until 15:00 and the staff was really kind without any complaints. Nice experience!

We ended up here as the place we had originally intended to dine at was closed. While it didn’t take long for us to get our food, I wasn’t too keen on it. The green curry tasted a lot like the curry paste hadn’t been fried properly. I also didn’t see any oil specks on the surface of the sauce, which form after the paste has been fried long enough for the oils to separate. The chicken was covered by a thin, dry film while the inside was a little slimy. I found the bamboo shoots surprisingly bland. They tasted like they had just come out of the tin. In other words, they didn’t have any time to soak up the flavors from the sauce. Left the place feeling hungry and disappointed after paying 140 SEK for a dish I ate half of, along with 8 SEK for a glass (not a carafe) of tap water… The ambiance was kind of drab and the slot machines didn’t exactly mitigate it.

Definitely the best sushi place in Lund! We found this palace by coincidence, and you don't expect much from the outside. However, the inside bar & restaurant is amazing! We had an amazing time with attentive service!

100% good - service even better (🙏🏼). (The choice of music was the only minor minus.) Sharing and testing different pieces from the menu is easy with such a good way of explaining and exposing. The tempura is gorges. Starter Panco fried scallops (disappeared too quick/no photo). The sushi so fresh. My personal choice for dessert (tried them all): Kinjo special.

Racist, Disrespectful and Absolutely Unacceptable I had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Kinjo Sushi in Lund. My wife and I (both Indian) visited the restaurant during a non-busy time. We placed our order and waited patiently for over an hour — without any food arriving. Meanwhile, we watched multiple white customers who came in after us being served promptly, one after another. When I finally asked what was going on, the staff told me they hadn't even started preparing our order. To add insult to injury, they were already preparing food for yet another white customer who had just walked in. When I asked for some water while we waited, they told us they “don’t have water to drink.” That’s beyond ridiculous — and just cruel at that point. This wasn't just incompetence. It felt like blatant racial discrimination. We were ignored, dismissed and treated as if we didn’t matter. I wouldn’t wish this kind of treatment on anyone. If you’re a person of color or if you care about basic decency and equality, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. I hope the management takes a hard look at their behavior and realizes how shameful and damaging this kind of treatment is.

Nice location In the center of the town next to shady burger and had both sushi and warm food like fried noodles. Good for the whole family. A bit slow to get food. A bit pricey for lunch but works for kids who don’t eat sushi so it’s good. No amex card accepted though. Staffs are friendly.

If you like accompany by birds on the tabels dishes up and normal performed food it is great. Try the delisous seagrass.

Still ok, but not nearly as good as it used to be. Service was careless and seemed very rushed; rice was partly dried; very limited selection of fish, only about 6-8 different kinds according to server. Long wait before we could pay. Not bad, but there are better sushi places in Lund.

This is good option for those who want yo taste how sushi with fusion of swedish pallate, it's weird to taste cucumber pickles and red onion pickle on ricebowl with salmon or on sashimi plater but I guess this is how they do it in Sweden, the fish taste good though

I was not sure what to expect from a soup restaurant, but the first mouthful of the shop’s top favourite tomato & fennel soup, and I was sold. Rich flavour, generous ingredients (with surprise shrimps to enhance the taste), and cosy ambience — such a gem! Oh, and have your soup with the locally produced applemust - the acidity help cut through & balance out the rich soup. :)

Amazing! Beautiful little shop, with an amazingly friendly shop owner who was happy to try speaking English to me (his English was excellent)! Just like everywhere they took Visa/Apple Pay. Now the food! We had the asparagus salmon cream soup and oh my goodness it was amazing. My wife had instant nostalgia for her grandmas cooking. It was so delicious and incredibly filling. Affordable too compared to other places. Highly recommend.

Great lunch stop in Lund! This concept is probably not new, but well tuned and just running smooth. Now I can understand why! Simple few options for a soup and bread. Great fresh produce and lovely flavours. Fantastic value for money! It seems to be a one man show, which is impressive. The interior is elective and I think he has a failed for table lamps ;) I love them too! Next time I’m back in Lund, I’ll be there again.

Stopped by for lunch with family. Really enjoyed the menu here. The proprietor was very friendly and gave us a bit of the history of the shop lot. Highly recommended.

3-4 freshly made soups served weekdays. Often features local seasonal ingredients. The soups are delicious but the seating is very limited in the restaurant, though there is extra space in the quaintly retro-themed annex adjacent the main kitchen.

Not to be missed. Some of the most delicious food I had on my trip and an absolute gem of an owner. All of the food is fresh and locally sourced (like literally from his own garden, around the corner, etc.) so glad I came.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hypoteket and it was perfect! The staff were amazing. Planning a wedding from overseas with a 9 hour time difference was challenging, but David and Peter did a wonderful job helping us organize everything. We picked Hypoteket for our wedding because of the location and building. Hypoteket is a 5 minute walk from Lund central station and a 5 to 10 minute walk to multiple hotels. This made it easy for our guests flying in from other countries to get to and find. The venue is a beautiful building with a rich history, which we loved. Providing our guests with good food and wine was our number one priority and the head chef Nico and staff delivered! Our guests were raving about the food and drinks and many said it was the best wedding meal they ever had. We were very nervous when we booked the venue before even seeing it in person, but we have no regrets about picking Hypoteket. Our wedding day couldn’t have gone smoother. We highly recommend Hypoteket to other couples looking for a wedding venue.

4+ stars. We enjoyed a private event in the premises owned by Hypoteket and we had a great time. The rooftop terrace was blessed with a nice sun and was perfect for the mingling. The indoor space was nicely decorated, clean and the perfect setup for a nice dinner. The food was really good, except for a dessert that was maybe not sweet enough. Friendly staff and very professional.

Unique atmosphere. Great bar. Fantastic food, probably the best in Lund. Also the wine is excellent with highly knowledgeable sommeliers. This place is special. —— Update after 2 more visits with average score.

Friendly service. Was curious to try fried chicken sushi, it was okay, the piece was a bit too thick and too big but can fill an empty stomach with a resonable price. Super nice food decorating! Updated: Recently came back for take-away, and unfortunately, the tuna in the lunch poke bowl didn’t look fresh. The color was very grey, definitely not how it’s supposed to look, and it tasted and smelled off 🥲. There was also a long waiting time, twice as long as they promised.

Convenient location, friendly personnel, fairly elegant plating and appropriate portion sizes. However, the rice was undercooked, avocado thready, salmon rather bland and the pickled ginger looked quite unappeticing. Additionally there were no restrooms available for guests.

Ordered tuna, fried chicken PokeBall and sushi. The portion for PokeBall is quite big, you will not remain hungry. The food is good considering the price of the nearby restaurants and theirs.

Had a really lovely dinner here the other day. Decided to order the crispy chicken bowl and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh and tasty, all of the ingredients worked very well together - I chose to get the chili mayo sauce and was really happy that it all worked so well together. For the price, it was absolutely worth it. I think this restaurant is underrated because of where it is located but it has a really good vibe, the decor is modern, yet inviting and whoever runs the playlist for the ambient music was playing some good stuff. Would definitely reccommend a visit. The two friends that I was eating with (one got the vegetarian sushi platter and the other got the salmon bowl) were both very satisfied with their food and had nothing but good things to say. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering suggestions and answering questions about ingredients very warmly. Will definitely go back!

The lunch buffet had a nice variety of salads and hot meals, including vegetarian options. It also comes with tea, coffee or Arabian coffee. Recommended if you wanna try a few things at a time and are not sure what to order :)

Self service restaurant in the middle of the city with variety of warm and cold mezes. Takeaway option is possible but there is indoor seating.

Overall good food and culinary experience. Lots of vegetarian options, and amazing Mediterranean salads, I didn't know so many salad dishes are possible. Tahini and tahini salad is really good. In main course they have chiken and a biriyani-ish dish, plus lots of other things. They have very special Arabic coffee and tea, which is unique. Worth a visit for a good food and good overview of Arabic cuisine also very spacious.

I visited for the lunch buffet, but unfortunately, it was far from what authentic Lebanese food typically looks or tastes like. The buffet mainly consisted of sauces and beans — including hummus, baba ghanoush, tzatziki, mixed beans, salad, and a parsley salad that was not a proper tabbouleh. The warm dishes were mostly vegetable stews, and the only animal protein offered was a chicken stew — nothing more. What I did appreciate, however, was that they offered real Turkish coffee as an option, instead of the usual boring brewed coffee

The food was very good, and high quality. Aswell as a nice presentation. Absolutely worth the money, if you like this kind of food. Be careful with the hummus though, it's salty. - No other drinks than tea and coffee in the buffet. Doesn't really help with thirst. - Quite noicy. Loud music playing, and bad accoustics. Hard to hold conversations.

Delicious and great food experience. They have lunch buffet which I really recommend and it costs 120 krone. You can find many Lebanese salad, mezza and even grilled Lebanese meals.

AMAZING FOOD! Had chicken 🍗 and kebab shavings with pita bread and their amazing flavourful rice. Love the salad spread and the condiments, specially Hummus One of the best buffets I ever had
