A cosy venue on a quiet night, but a bit cramped if they're busy. Salad buffet was good, though our meals left something to be desired. They did not ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, and my fiancées patty especially was too red inside for her comfort.

I had a delicious and tender steak done to a perfect medium served with a great whisky sauce and some vegetables. The food was good, the staff was nice and polite and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, all in all a good experience.

We were visiting in town and wanted pizza. This was the BEST pizza we’ve had since moving here two years ago! The owner is Italian and knows how to make a proper pizza!! He even special made a pizza at my son’s request. The crust is thin and crispy, not chewy, soggy or doughy. What a hidden gem, we’ll be back!

Few days ago me and my friend walk in to this (not busy) restaurant. We order 2 appetisers and 1 main course with drinks. I paid it for almost 900kr. So, I recheck the bill and i found that they charge me 125kr extra. The manager or the owner explain that because we only order 1 main menu, so they charged more, beside it written in the menu. He insisted that it was our fault because we didn’t read it. Meanwhile, the waiter didn’t inform us, when we ordered the food. I won’t blame the waiters because they were so friendly and maybe it is the restaurant “trap” We insisted to get our money back, not because of the amount, but it just unfair for customers. Well, after intense arguments he gave us that money with a small unpleasant warning, I don’t really bother it, since i will never comeback. Does anyone know about this regulation, that a restaurant in Denmark can charge extra if customers order only 1 main course as long as they write it in menu book? Really need that information so, i can be more careful.

The missing star is that the café could do more to enhance the ambience within the café itself and include more local photos or art and no parking nearby.

We had a so called "seafood tapas" consisting of cold rubbery fried clams (or maybe some other unidentifiable thing). accompanied by the highlight of the evening a bland crab salad ( surimi ). Next up was one of world cuisine greats, Weiner Schnitzel. The chef should personally apologize to all Austrians for cooking such a horrible version of their national dish. The dessert was a store bought apple pie, making us wish we had declined. If you have any kind of allergies you should probably not stay at the in since everything smells from some kind ûber-toxic fabric softener.

There is vacation houses around the tavern, so there is most likely other people, but it is on a closed road/area, so there aren’t any passing traffic. It feels like a small pocket of calmness to me 😊 The atmosphere feels old (in a good way), and brings one back to a time further back, giving you a lovely nostalgic feel to it. Not several hundred years back, but maybe 50 years, and it has its charm. The service is wonderful. If you ask for anything, they are open, helpful and friendly. They had forgot to make vegetarian food for me, when we were having lunch (was there on a work day, for a meeting), and when they were told, they quickly made something for me. As it sometimes happens, when you are not in the bigger cities, they asked if I would eat fish, which I naturally do not because I am vegetarian. This doesn’t bother me at all, I am just so happy that they take to time to check in with me, making sure they can make something for me, that matches me dietary preferences 💜 very mindful. One of the worst experiences in a restaurant. We ordered the large scampi and one of them was not cooked well or maybe it was just gone bad. I had nausea and stomach issues for 2 days. The fish and chips was terrible quality. And when I complained about it the waiter said: We cannot do anything about it. The only thing that keeps that restaurant going is the lovely location close to the canal. Do not go there it is a waste of money and you could get sick. We actually did see that there was noone seated there but thought maybe was early. Now I know why it was empty. So disappointing!

We explained this to the staff and the made me this amazing plate of noodles covered in soy sauce and filled with cut chicken breast. It was amazing, so amazing in fact I had a second portion. The other half had so much from the revolving bar and it made her incredibly happy, so we had a great date night. I can't reccomend this place enough. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the place is cozy and it caters to all. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you haven't visited this establishment.
