Food was lovely. Getting served to order your food was very slow. Staff we were being served by seemed nice enough but she took ages to ask what we wanted and then took ages to clear plates and ask if we wanted dessert etc.

Nice and simple dinner just for two of us. Serving was good and quick, we ordered Steak&Ale pie,onion rings, Gunness and orange juice .Food was nice and tasty.

The Anchor is a beefeater pub with the usual menu. The gammon and steak were very nice. There was a decent range of draught drinks, including old golden hen cask ale, which was in excellent condition when i visited. The staff are very friendly and efficient. There is an outside seating area and a free customer car park, enter your car registration on a terminal in the bar to avoid a fine.

We used to really enjoy visiting as the breakfast deal includes kids eating for free. However, we booked around 10:30am on a Sunday for Breakfast at 7am on Monday, we turned up for our 7am booking to be told we are closed, there is a sign on the door! I said we booked online and no mention of being closed so that's clearly an issue as you don't find out until you turn up! Second issue, the attitude of the staff member... Looks like we will be taking our custom elsewhere in the future!!! 👍

Erin our waitress was absolutely amazing, really polite and kind, and Max the chef cooked the most beautiful food! I went with my mum and dad and we all said how beautiful it was, ribs falling off the bone. I have a gluten allergy and I always feel safe eating here, I've never had a bad experience and I will certainly be back!

We were greeted by Erin who took us to our table. She was friendly, welcoming and very professional. She is an asset to this establishment. She couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. It was my dads birthday so it make a huge difference when members of staff are kind friendly.

Very child friendly, we come a couple of times a month as a breakfast treat for the grand daughters or to begin a day out. Food is always good, staff are extremely helpful. We just attended today and our 9yr old grand daughter told them it was her birthday. When sat down she was presented with a card, a good quality activity book and a very posh lolly, they also made her a hot drink. None of this was expected or asked for, purely the kindness of the staff. You cannot ask for better quality service, Thank you for making the day start so special.

A group of 6 of us went here for an evening meal prior to a wedding in the area and had a fantastic meal. The restaurant was in walking distant to our hotel, the staff were great and the food was lovely. Based on our experiences we would all totally recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

It’s a Turkish owned italian restaurant so you may find couple of Turkish foods too in the menu. Normally they are closed on mondays but we were lucky that we found them while going to another restaurant so we were really happy for our choices. Margarita was nice, Turkish Chicken Skewers was fantastic. The only thing I can criticize is prices can compete with London. It seemed a little expensive to us. Everything else was perfect. We will definitely come again if we pass by.

Went here on a coach excursion today, a delicious carvery lunch with a choice of afters. Staff were very helpful and there was a warm friendly atmosphere welcome . Obviously it was a Private booking but would definitely visit again.

Excellent meal, which was a carvery it had a choice of chicken, ham, beef or a trio of Lincolnshire sausages. You get a choice of meat which arrived with a Yorkshire pudding which melted in the mouth. The selection of vegetables to choose from carrots, suede mash, cabbage, peas, mash potato, roast potatoes, a selection of sauces & gravy. Service was good and food cooked to perfection, cost was reasonable for what you can have.

Cooked from fresh good food, quick friendly service and good value for money. A bit outdated decor and a slight stuffy smell, however it has outside tables. Would recommend

Lovely setting great service. The food just let's the place down. For the prices I expected home made Yorkshire pudding but got a frozen shop bought. The meat wasn't nice at all. Bring back proper homemade food and a good cook then the place would be a 5 star.

This is the best Indian I have ever been to. I have went hear 4 time 1time I did take away and the other 3 was eat in. I recommend eating in as it's so much better as the owner is always about and is very nice.and the atmosphere is overall fantastic.the food was just so fresh and so good. I know getting chips at an Indian restaurant is rong but there chips were the best I have ever had. I had a chicken corma and it was perfect.the popodons with all the dips is a must get as a starter as the mango chutney is very nice. Overall it was the best experience I have ever had in any restaurant

Service and food is always excellent, wouldn’t go to any other Indian in town or the area. Front of house will have you in stitches of laughter but professional at all times. You will not be disappointed.

Before ordering I asked the question of what the mixed platter consists of, I was told onion bargies, Samosas and other meats. For £11.50 that's what I would expect so I ordered this with 2 other curries... when we got the food home I was disgusted to find that the mixed platter was in a small takeaway container, certainly not enough for 2 people. The curries were also horrible, one was very bland and the other just wasn't what it said on the tin (so to speak) .... a big waste of £30, the only thing it was good for was the bin, which is where it went. It felt like there just wanting to close up and gave us the scrapes.... NEVER to return

Visited with my wife earlier, no booking required, and no waiting for a table. It was a Tuesday and fairly quiet. The service straight from the off was polite and tentative throughout. The selection of food was excellent. The taste was even better. Portion sizes we're unbelievable, and more than enough for just the 2 of us. For what we ordered, the pricing was remarkable. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, tasty meal. Would definitely recommend

What an amazing evening of food and great hospitality. Was lovely to have Bangladeshi food, desi style. Couldn't have been more happier with our food and warm welcoming service. My recent visit to Megna Restaurant in Scunthorpe with my grandchildren was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu that pleased both the adventurous eaters and those with more subtle tastes. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our family dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and their smiles throughout the evening spoke volumes. With delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Megna Restaurant easily earns a five-star rating in my book.

Very quiet when we went but food and service top class.

We had our wedding there in May and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue, the whole day was perfect from start to finish. From meeting Jenna 18 months before the day she was always on hand to answer questions and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional as always, the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. All the staff working on the day worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of getting married there to do it because we had the best day and 5 months on and our guests are still talking about it.

We had to change our booking because of illness. The receptionist was so helpful with sorting out a later booking for us and even rang when I hadn't called to change it so we wouldn't lose the money we had paid. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and are in the restaurant for the 2 nights we were there. The food was good but pricey. It was easy to find and had enough places to park.

Had a fantastic 50th Birthday celebration held in the function room. Fab venue with a beautiful outdoor courtyard, we arranged wood fired pizza for our guests and they were amazing. Bar service excellent with plenty of staff serving our guests. Our room I have to say was outstanding, modern and so comfortable with luxury bedding and an amazing selection of refreshments. Would highly recommend Jenna as planning your event is what she does best.

Attended a wedding here, it is lovely place for that extra treat.i think they will cater for most requests, we had pizza and chips for the evening food which made a change from the usual buffet. I was surprised at the lovely courtyard I didn't know was there. It may be more pricey than most venues but worth the extra. Ideal for the smaller wedding. With rooms available for guests

Me and my wife went back here for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We got married her last year and wanted to celebrate by staying over and have an evening meal and breakfast. The food was amazing and service was spot on! Many thanks to the team!

First time for me today at this restaurant. What a find! Fantastic food... the intense flavours, the freshness, the aromas, the seasoning details etc. And a sumptuous setting with very friendly, knowledgable staff. This will now be a regular haunt. RECOMMENDED!

We held our Golden Wedding lunch here. The staff were brilliant and made sure everything was perfect, from the booking process to the wonderful food. The room and table decorations made it feel like we were dining on the Amalfi coast and the service was seamless. Thank you to all at San Pietro who made our day extra special.

We were passing and decided to pop in for lunch, so glad we did. The service was fantastic sith attentive staff keeping us topped up with drinks and the menu was very good indeed. We decided to both go for the cow and chicken burger and was not disappointed. Firstly the size of the portions were huge! And the quality of produce definitely stood out. Both the beef and the chicken was delicious and the thick cut chips were perfectly cooked the side salad and fresh coleslaw was fantastic and to top it all off 2 huge onion rings. Stuffed is a understatement but we managed to split a sticky toffee pudding and custard. Needless to say we haven't eaten for the rest of the day 🤣. We will definitely be returning to try other items from the menu in the future for sure. Tje views over the river are beautiful on a clear sunny day and we sat outside enjoying the weather. The overall look of the inside was lovely too very clean and modern. The car park is limited but we had no issue finding a place.

We went for the lunchtime menu we just had the 2 courses which was £14 each and it was well worth the money. Food was excellent and the service was great the girl behind the bar couldn't do enough for you . Really nice comfortable place we will definitely go back again but we will go in the evening and eat from the main menu. 👍👍

Last night we had a meal at The Ferry Boat Bar and Kitchen, our ‘local’ pub-restaurant. There were eight of us, family and friends, so we got to sample quite a lot of the menu items! It was a lovely sunny evening and we sat outside on the riverbank for our pre dinner drinks. There is a lot of outdoor seating on the river foreshore, the flood bank and in the beer garden which is a bit more sheltered. Children’s play equipment is located on the riverbank too. Our starters were Brie wedges, prawn cocktail, duck spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, and mozzarella sticks. Main courses were fish and chips (of course!), Cajun chicken breast, lasagna, steak and ale pie and pan fried salmon. Desserts were chocolate fudge cake, chocolate brownie and ice cream, chocolate cheesecake, ice cream sundae and sticky toffee pudding. We paid around £40 pp which included wine, beer and soft drinks. We had a great night, thank you to the staff of the Ferry Boat who coped with our needs admirably!!

I called in the restaurant for lunch with my mum and sister on our home from mums 80th birthday weekend. We were had all wanted to visit for while as we had seen advertising and it looked like a lovely place. It was around 11.45 on a Sunday, we were shown to a table and were told that they were just finishing up the breakfasts and they would be able to come and take our order at 12 Which was fine because we weren't in any particular rush. 12 o'clock came and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy but the staff were nowhere to be seen We could see a member of staff clearing tables but didn't seem to want to come over and take our order 🤔 eventually we had to go and ask to place our order. The staff member taking the order wasn't particularly attentive at all. We waited ages before eventually they brought us our meals We were very disappointed 😞 My sister and I ordered the Yorkshire wrap with beef but the beef was so tough and had big lumps of fat and grizzle. It should never have come out of the kitchen in my opinion. It was inedible we complained to one staff member who went to get another staff member who took away the meal. We asked for the chicken instead. When it arrived it was better but I can honestly say that the whole experience was really not good. The food,staff and atmosphere could be much better. My mum ordered the quiche and again not good, tasteless and not at all what you would expect for the price.Presentation of all meals was not great. Also the toilets needed a good clean. We won't be returning i am afraid. And I won't be recommending.

Went there for a late lunch. My food had splendidly cooked meat with almost raw veg and what tasted like instant mashed potato. Roasted potatoes had hard skins. It was a late afternoon booking but our menu was pre-booked. We won't be attending again. Parking was fine and atmosphere ok. May be worth trying it earlier in the day.....

Beautiful setting. Comfortable rooms albeit a bit pricey for what they offered; quite small and lack of surfaces to put things on in bedroom, plus no shelves or hooks in shower for shower gels, towels etc. Service was mostly perfunctory with 1 or 2 staff actually smiling. However, it wasn't rude. Food was ok, nothing amazing but tasty. Again, pricey for what it was. Big selling points are the grounds and the location. Both were stunning and beautiful.

My review is based on several visits, food lunch, dinner, coffee or dessert. The place is gorgeous, decor is lovely and the menu really exciting. The service however, always lets it down. It’s really quite poor, every time I visit I hope it’s going to be better, but it never is. The staff are often rude, problematic even. Once me and my partner had a gorgeous meal but we got no cutlery even after asking, food was stood there going cold. We ordered a drink and it never came. They’re often weird about where you sit, even when it’s empty on a Tuesday at 11am. Lady who appears to be owner appearing agitated with customers. Once the milk was off, another time my steak was really bad but we got no offer of taking off bill even tho I handed a full plate back. It’s really quite sad as it has potential to be a great place.

Perfect wedding venue. We got married here in July. The staff were great all day, Debbie was fantastic and works so hard. At one point she was walking around looking for a bottle of milk to help get our toddler to sleep, she also jumped in to help sort things out when she realised the DJ hadn’t turned up. She made recommendations most of which we took like where to put things but also allowed us to have the final say on everything. Our guests raved about the food, esp the portion sizes, the lovely hotel rooms and the venue as a whole. So glad we found this hidden gem 😍

Broken promises left me SO disappointed. A choir I'm a member of had two performances booked at the PP Festival. I haven't been before and as a wheelchair user I contacted the Peppered Pig three times in the week leading up to the performance to ask my usual questions :- use of an accessible loo, parking and ground surfaces. I was confused when whoever answered gave different answers to my questions. Also, I was promised a callback, which didn't happen. One of the festival organisers phoned me the night before, a very reassuring conversation. But ALL his promised actions didn't happen (chiefly concerning the use of the one disabled toilet and convenient parking). It's a lovely set-up with a stylish restaurant and I hope the choir will be invited again next year. But, it was a nightmare experience for me personally - absolutely NOT good enough! I was so angry and upset, I left after the first performance. Come on, guys - it's 2025!

Can't believe I've never been before... This restaurant has such a lovely authentic feel to it. The Souvlaki was delicious. All the staff were fabulous and Chris took the time to have a chat with us and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back soon! Can't think of a bad thing to say.

The food was fantastic, and all freshly made. I'm not much of a salad person but the house salad was to die for! Our waitress did a fantastic job and overall the hospitality was wonderful - the chef even came out to chat with us, which I have never seen before. He was so passionate about the restaurant and the food, and it really shows in the quality of the dishes. A brilliant dining experience and would definitely visit again!

Went for my mums birthday as a surprise. The front of house staff went above and beyond for us all and made my mum feel really special. They were also amazing with my 8 year old son giving him colouring books, pencils and generally treating him like one of their own. The chef also came out to see us and wish my mum a happy birthday. So many personal touches. The food was exquisite. We will definitely be going again

3rd visit to The Shires & the food,customer service just gets better each time. The staff are friendly & very attentive. The prices are very reasonable, given the current financial situation. The restaurant is immaculate, well laid out with plenty dining space & there's a function room for larger parties. Last but not least, the food. I had a mixed grill & as you can see by the picture, there's plenty of variety on the plate. The steak was cooked exactly as I'd requested (medium rare). There's plenty of deserts to choose from too. From ice cream to cheesecake & plenty in-between. I thoroughly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

60th birthday celebration was supposed to be a special day! We had to beckon a waitress after a long wait for our order to be taken, we placed our orders from the menu and a couple within our group of Eight purchased the carvery. After 45 minutes of waiting we overheard a member of staff stating that they only had Turkey remaining on the carvery which neither particularly liked so had to change their order. The staff accommodated the change. A birthday cake had been put away for after the meal as a surprise.. it was definitely a surprise seeing it being taken to another table, fortunately the other table sent it back. 1 hours 15 minutes later the food was served. The food itself was nice but nothing special. The staff were pleasant but could have been better trained and organised.

Myself, my wife Carol and her cousin Lorraine go out every Monday night, for the last 2 Mondays we have dined at the Shires and we will dine here again. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service is friendly and professional, the food is excellent. Carol had gammon which came with new potatoes,eggs,large onion rings and side salad, I had lasagna, fries garlic bread and side salad while Lorraine had steak with all the trimmings. They were all generous portions and definitely value for money so if you enjoy freshly cooked, top quality food this is the place to come. Why not check out their menu online to see they choice of food on offer, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Been using this place for years, always rated it but something has gone wrong with the service here. Booked in advance because I knew it would be a busy night, arrived and gave my name but the girl just asked how many it was for and separated two tables by a few inches to make a table of 6 for us. I pointed out that we had booked, her response was “we’ve been very busy” which is why I booked the day before! No one offered us a drink when seated. Had to go and find someone, waited ages for a drink and then two didn’t arrive at all! Eventually ordered our food, again a really long wait and two meals arrived but the rest hadn’t come. Asked the girl who brought the food where the rest was and she responded “I was told Someone else was bringing it but can’t be sure” And the bar maid was also poor, she could clearly see I was waiting but carried on putting glasses away and then answered the phone while keeping me waiting. Absolute shambles now. The mature women that used to wait in tables brilliantly and kept on top of everything were nowhere to be seen, just lots of very young girls and a young boy. The woman who used to be behind the bar was fantastic at keeping on top of things, she was not there either. I can’t remember how many times we have used this place, it’s a lot. But we will not be back.

Awful experience 14/08/25. Had a booking for 10 people, were quickly shown to our table but was all downhill from there. Waitress seemed completely disinterested, borderline rude. Took our drinks order but 20 minutes later only half our drinks had arrived, we had to chase to get the rest of them brought to us. We all ordered carvery, the queue was massive and when we arrived at the front the serving area was filthy with spilled food and sauces. We could hear the guy manning the carvery asking other staff to clean it up, but they were all ignoring him. The meat at the carvery was great, but the rest had been out too long; the veg was mush, the stuffing balls and yorkshires were dried out, the potatoes were ok but not seasoned particularly well. We all ordered deserts but had to ask several times for spoons, and one of our parties desert didn’t turn up and we had to chase. Deserts were ok, but the sticky toffee pudding had been microwaved too long and was very dry (and not at all sticky), the accompanying serving of ice cream on all deserts was tiny. We asked for the bill but had to wait close to 20 minutes for it to come, when it did we had been overcharged for drinks and deserts (11 deserts for ten people, and extra pints added). Had to ask the manager to sort it as the waitress didn’t understand the problem. To top it off, two of our party got sick from the food. Overall just really poor service and food.

Lovely quaint pub and restaurant out the way so not to busy, great for family. Portions are huge. Extra carpark so no hassle parking. Friendly good service. Clean and tidy place with plenty of room and function room. Nice to sit outside in the hot weather. Bouncy land is great for the younger kids and you can sit and have a beer while they play. Would definitely recommend

We waited 1.5 hrs for our food no apologies from the staff we had to chase our order otherwise we would have to wait even longer. Pictures are attached to see how simple the food order was don’t think it would take the time to prepare it. We would appreciate better communication from staff.

Ordered 2 sirloin steaks, but only had rump available. Ordered 1 medium rare and one medium well done. Arrived but both were medium rare. Asked for my husband's to be cooked more, but waited over 20 minutes and I had finished mine before his came. I asked why it took so long, and was told they did a fresh one!! It was very small in comparison the the first one. I expressed my dissatisfaction and I was given a free drink. The staff were lovely but we won't go on an evening again.

Drove past this pub a few times but finally called in to eat. What a great pub. Don't expect you food to be delivered super quick as it is prepared especially for each guest. We both chose Andy's Steak and ale pie one with chips and pas and the other with mash and veg. We were astonished at the portion size when it arrived and couldn't believe the amount of steak covered by the pastry. It was delicious and we struggled to eat it all. The menu is varied but when we asked what curry of the week was we were told it was just a chicken curry. I think customers need a better description as we were not the only customers to ask and choose something else. I think it is just a matter of under selling it. Glad I went for Andy's Steak and Ale pie though. It was amazing!

We recently had my Mum's wake at the Ball House and the buffet was very reasonably priced. There was a good selection, including cakes and tea and coffee and it was all very nicely presented. The Bar staff were all friendly and helpful and the pub itself had recently been decorated and looked great. There was a lovely fire too which would be so welcoming in the winter and the pub is also dog friendly which is a big tick for us!! Highly recommend.

Excellent Sunday carvery today. Unfortunately very busy, the staff were under a lot of pressure. One or two customers were challenging. Quality of meal was still very good. Will definately be back hopefully in the future.

Went to the Ball house last night for a meal. We were greeted like old friends. We ordered our food and drinks at the table. We waited the 30 minutes ( as we were told the wait would be as they cook the food to order) and then the food arrived We were not disappointed. The food was really good. I had the Hunters chicken and my other half had the Andy’s steak pie. Both were delicious. We were able to order more drinks The bar staff were really chatty Had a great evening and were pleased with the price It’s easy to park at the Ball House as they have a large car park. They also have two disabled car parking places right outside ( I have a Blue Badge and can’t walk very far). They also have a large beer garden

Staff were friendly, atmosphere was good but the food took some time to arrive, almost 45-50 mins, which did seem like a lifetime with kids waiting and asking for their food. Food was alright not too bad, chips weren’t the best and some of the food did arrive like warm, sauces were given halfway through eating. Definitely some improvements to be made but as I said staff were friendly and welcoming.

First time I've visited as I was in the area visiting friends. I really enjoyed my time here, lovely Sunday roast carvery (only had beef myself but cooked perfectly, very tender), great service and excellent atmosphere. Not sure if this is always the same but had a great band scoundrel dayz playing in garden which I'm sure helped with the great atmosphere but I will definitely visit again when I'm next in the area. My friends booked table and I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Went for Sunday lunch. Food was delicious. Portions were really good. Front of house man let the whole thing down. He was quite rude. We was with a party of peoole all talking and were told to shut up so an order could be taken. He has the service skills of a stroppy teenager being asked to do something he doesn't want to do! Otherwise can't fault it

Absolutely stunning food, cocktails and service from Lillian, she was so patient and kind. Also, incredibly quick service. Everything was 10/10 with no faults or complaints. All the food was delicious, steaks all cooked perfectly and actually an incredible price aswell as a birthday freebie:) thanks so much!

Friendly and efficient service, top quality food and very reasonable prices. Our second visit to Miller & Carter Scunthorpe (actually a few miles outside the town) and it won’t be our last. We ordered from the 3 course fixed price lunch menu and were very impressed with the size of the portions and the quality of the food. Daniel, our waiter was very friendly and we even received a complimentary additional dessert as it was our wedding anniversary. Highly recommended.

Perfect vegan experience. Not a huge selection, but possible the best burger I’ve had out (and trust me being vegan, I’ve had a few). The Thai soup was excellent too. Great service from Ryan, friendly and attentive. The chef today was Luke, and that’s for making food that didn’t feel like it had come off a conveyor belt.

Two of us went Sunday 10th August and we were served by Lil who was absolutely incredible, gave superb customer service and was very attentive. The Grill Chef was Luke and the starter of prawn cocktails X two, and one Ribeye Steak, and one fillet steak was cooked superbly. Well done Lil & Luke, I would most definitely recommend the restaurant. We travelled from Howden for the evening which is around forty minutes drive to the restaurant.

Service by Ryan was fantastic, very helpful and polite. The butchers block steak platter we ordered , cooked by Tom was amazing would definitely have again and recommend. Had a birthday pudding on Miller and Carter was lovely , thank you x

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant in a month. The first time was for a celebration evening meal and the second time (today) was for lunch. This restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere and the staff, especially Zoe who looked after us today are pleasant, helpful and attentive. A specific mention must be given to Lewis though who greeted us on both occasions and made my parents (both in their mid 80’s) feel special on their Diamond anniversary. His positivity and cheerfulness is infectious and I know if my parents go on their own they will be well looked after. Well done for the fabulous customer service. The food on both occasions has been superb and although we live some distance away we will definitely be returning.

We have been a few times and each time we return, they outdo themselves. It was our 11 year anniversary so choose M&C to celebrate. We were given the best table and the service but Ryan was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok and made sure our drinks were topped up. He even brought out a desert for free with ‘congratulations’ on which was a lovely surprise. Our steaks cooked by Rob were outstanding! Overall, an amazing visit and belly’s full!

We called in to eat because we were already in town. The restaurant was fully booked but because we were there early, they seated us anyway. We had the banquet for two. The food came out promptly and was well cooked and presented. Service with a smile so all was well. You could eat here with confidence.

Food was nice and Leah was so friendly, however, the waitress with the blonde hair took it extremely personally when there was an order mix up and made it her mission for the rest of the evening to slate our table to other staff and glare at us from across the room, as well as giving attitude. Other than that would have given 5 stars but unfortunately she made our whole table uncomfortable.

I was surprised at how big the restaurant and bar was. The food was delicious. We ordered far too many dishes. The rice and chicken chow mein was easily shared between us. Usually, there is only enough for one. Service was brilliant Thank you x

The service was excellent. Food was good. Staff friendly. Manager was good enough to specially sort out my food order as I have nut allergy. He arranged it so that out of the special menu for two, that anything with NUTS in was removed and replaced with another in its place.

Had the seafood chow main Noodles tasted burnt. Seafood very chewy Complained to the server. Who said nothing. Took.plate away only to come back with it in a take away bag. Which I refused. It wasnt fit to eat in the restaurant I certainly wasn't taking it home

We had a meal there a couple of months ago and it was excellent. The owner came over to chat to us and the whole experience was great. This weekend tried the delivery service and again this was great. On a Saturday evening the food was delivered by a uniformed delivery driver who was courteous and friendly within 40 minutes of placing our order. The food was piping hot with generous portions. Will make this our regular as the quality of the food is the best we have tried.

The food was excellent. The surroundings were lovely jellyfish in a fish tank and fish, water cascading down a wall and funky ceiling lighting. We came here to celebrate a birthday with family and banners were put up which was a lovely touch. Our waiter was very informative on the dishes and was really funny. We had a slight issue with the food coming out slowly but it didn't ruin the evening for us as we were not in a hurry to be anywhere else. All the staff came and sang Happy Birthday which was so lovely. We will definitely come again. If you work for the N.H.S. bring your I.D. card as you get 10% off and the person celebrating a birthday gets their meal free. Our birthday person got a free drink as well.

Absolutely amazing, the best we have tasted in years, we got the deal for 2 persons, generous portions and reasonably priced, even tweaked a few items on the order at no extra price, and really helpful and friendly staff, I would highly recommend to anyone. Always consistent good food quality and very friendly staff. An updated modern entrance that feels relaxing and welcoming, small couches opposite the bar for a waiting area if it's busy, great selection of draught and a bottled beers, and a extensive wine list aswell. The resturant is spacious and modern, with big tables so you don't feel squashed together, food service times are reasonable, the menu is varied offers good veggie options

I put in a big order and the chow mein was really dry, chips were soggy and they missed the egg fried rice from the order. I rang them and asked them to send the egg fried rice and another sweet and sour chicken so they would both get here together and be hot it took them just over an hour to redeliver the rice an chicken and it was cold anyway. I asked for a refund and they said because they had delivered the food I wouldn't be getting a refund. I won't order from here again.

The food was superb, fresh tasting. I had king prawn tikka masala and it was wonderful, none of of that red food colouring. My husband had lamb dansak, the best he'd ever had he said. Also the draught LAL beer was really good. Brilliant service, colourful surroundings too. Great for big parties or romantic couples.

We called in here while we were walking in the area. They weren't open but as the land lady was there she let us have a drink! It's a nice place in a lovely area and it is for sale. We returned for a meal a couple of days later and it was really busy. The food was good but we didn't stay long because of the noisy group on the next table. Some areas are wheelchair accessible but there are steps and a slope from the carpark to the pub.

Amazing pub food and really good value for money. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus. Staff were lovely. We'll be definitely be coming back.

A nice cosy village pub, had an excellent meal and good beer. Live music as well. I understand the present management team are leaving which will be a shame. Hope the new team matches the high standards.

Fabulous, cosy pub with homely interior. Staff are friendly and really attentive to ensure you have a good time. Food is fabulous, really tasty and the chef makes a massive effort to provide a good menu. Staff really try their hardest to ensure you feel Covid secure and space tables out and maintain discipline in a sensible way. A lovely, friendly place to visit Helen and Lauren are just fabulous and make you feel really welcome.

We came in for meal to try food as we would be taking friends out the following wk. Hand pull beer was superb and food was very good, so booked for following wk. Not so good this time. Two had risotto which was really stodgy, one had lamb shank, which could have been cooked longer as incredible difficult to get off the bone, also served in a dish????. Previous wk had the Cherry rum bread and butter pudding drizzled with dark chocolate, delicious 😋. So had again, it was only bread and butter pudding. (Was still nice), but made a comment to waitress who said it was the "pot washer" that had prepared desserts????. No doubt we would have had some cherry rum and chocolate had it been prepared by the chef. We didn't send it back as we assumed the menu must have changed. Really disappointed with our visit 😕

Just had Tapas at the Horn and it was fabulous. Had 7 dishes and could not fault anything. Great service and a friendly welcome. Very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend the Tapas evening on the first Friday of the month.

Lovely place, nice decor and furniture, rear beer garden. Only 3 stars for atmosphere because when we arrived it was quiet except for a few in the beer garden. The staff were lovely and friendly 😊 😍 Food good and traditional 😋 They have a steak night 2 rumps and a bottle of wine for £35, Bargain! Please do visit, you won't be disappointed. always ordered from here never had a problem but the past few times the service has been shocking the delivery driver asked me if i wanted my change the other time this time they did my order wrong and never told ne untill i rang 1hr 40 mins later they was just blaming each other will defo give them a miss in future

I went there with my partner in our first outing after lookdown! The food was very tasty, it is Indian kitchen, so you will find a lot of tandoori dishes. The staff were very friendly, the service was good and the price was alright. The place is clean and nice decorated, good for romantic evenings or occasions. I recommend it.

Went for breakfast after a walk in the miserable weather and the food was as always lovely. Breakfast is healthy (air fried), well presented and tastes amazing. The cakes here are all home made and we’ve tried a few of them and have to see they are also fantastic. This place is at the end of the Alkborough Flats walk near Julian’s Bower so every time I walk it I pop in. One of my favourite little cafes, clean good staff and great food. Thank you, especially to the manager who made us a breakfast after breakfast menu had closed as they weren’t busy so happy to accommodate at that time, perfect. Many thanks.

I ordered toast for my wife there today. Now this place is not alone in my complaint which is that even when I request well done toast we get bread that looks as if it's been out in the Sun for 5 minutes and served! Brigg Garden Centre is just as bad. My coffee was fine but the cake was a bit amateurish unlike Brigg Garden Centre which serves a "nice" tepid tea, but delicious cakes.

Unexpected fab find whilst on a cycle ride in this lovely, quiet Lincolnshire corner. Friendly welcome from the lovely lady proprietor and her equally lovely assistant. All food home cooked from many ingredients locally sourced. Real home made cakes which were excellent and plenty of hot and cold meal options. We will be back!

Did a Google search and this restaurant came up with good reviews so we thought we'd try it out. The menu is good with lots of dishes I hadn't heard of before so we both tried one and it was delicious. Really tasty, full of flavour and a nice kick of spice !! A very friendly owner who chatted to us and was nice but the only negative I had was the noisy restaurants in a bad way with loud mobile phones from different tables and employees chatting loud which meant I couldn't properly chill whilst I ate my food and the decor ....well very dated and not like the proper 5* we visit so had to mark down one star. On food alone it's very nice and well worth visiting !

We went for a late night dinner after a long trip, was craving some curry and garlic naan. Honestly, it satisfied my soul. The best and fresh naan you may get throughout scunthorpe. Highlight was the fish pakora, which my son just loved. And we ended up ordering another one. Spices on point, service 100/10. It's definitely worth a visit.

First visited here back in September 2024 Zak and charlie are a good double act always attentive to their customers nothing is too much trouble. We have since relocated here and currently due to being house boy d have to settle for a takeaway service until I'm back on my feet to visit again, will not go anywhere else. It's the best curry I've had since leaving London absolutely delicious food and portions are generous.

Amazing night for my son’s 50th birthday. There was 33 of us and Zak and Charlie made it very special for all of us. We did pre order all our meals which ensured we all ate together which was a lovely touch. Everyone loved the food some regular Indian eaters were very impressed. Zak made Simon a special 24hr lamb dish with no charge. Hot hot hot just as he likes it.. thank you all staff at Rahmans you are amazing. Jane and John.

Went for an evening meal on a Thursday, 4 of us each ordered starters, poppadoms and mains. The sauces for the poppadoms were delicious and one of them was a little bit different, a chilli jam. Very tasty. Starters we had mushroom puree, onion bhaji and fish pakora. Large portions for starters and all delicious. Mains we had a lamb roshoon, king prawn pathia and 2 chefs special curries. We shared 3 mushroom rice, 2 peshwari naan and some chips. Honestly everything was delicious and the chips were homemade. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. They added cream to one of the special curry dishes for someone who found it a little hot. Overall great food and portion sizes, great value for money!

Took a friend there tonight after our usual Indian was closed for refurbishments. The food was fabulous and the owner was very attentive and friendly. Very good value we will definitely be back.

Served by Ben who was a brilliant waiter, made us feel right at home and gave us all the information that was needed! I haven’t been to Pizza Hut in years but glad I did as it has definitely improved in the best way. Will definitely be coming back and hopefully Ben will be here when I do :)

Our first visit here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the service we received from Heather was exceptional. She’s a very pleasant member of staff. We will definitely visit again. The only downside is that the restaurant doesn’t accept cash, it’s card only, which we found a little strange.

Luke served us and was lovely and made sure our food was right and went above and beyond. The food was hot and made in great time and tasted amazing. Worth the price in my opinion. Overall can’t really fault it. Not to be picky and it’s each to their own but pop music in restaurants is annoying, i prefer a chill vibe maybe more acoustic or slower paced or instrumental.

It is such as shame that it’s closing. Lovely staff, very helpful, pizza is nice. They always do a good lunch time buffet. Really relaxing in there and good for family meals.

I ordered the chicken supreme pizza but there was hardly any chicken on the pizza. It should be renamed cheese pizza. However my son ordered pepperoni pizza which he was happy with and my husband had Hawaiian pizza which he said was average. The service was ok but we were not impressed with having to make our order via an app instead of being able to speak with a server. The restaurant wasn't very busy so no atmosphere as such. The cost of the meal was overpriced especially considering the lack of chicken on my pizza. I will not be visiting Pizza Hut again and certainly won't recommend it.

Awful food ,take away ordered for 16 of us for 8.30 it arrived well after 9pm cold or some were tepid ,I ordered chicken Kashmir terrible! The chicken was hard & chewy but worst of all BLACK ,I ate 2 pieces before deciding against eating it ,had awful stomach pains in the night ,sending out this standard is disgusting they should be ashamed I will NEVER order or eat here again I've not given even 1 star

Unfortunately, my recent collection was a total letdown. I ordered something, but it was missing. And the lamb chops were totally unappetizing, and the chicken in the curry was so dry and tough and clearly not prepared fresh. It’s crazy how the food quality has gotten so much worse since my last visit, which was way better. So, I guess the £20 I spent on this meal was totally wasted. Straight to the bin with it all.

Fab, tasty food, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant, bar, takeaway and home delivery. Takeaway - usual wait for takeaway, the Tandoor oven for cooking the Peshwari bread had gone out and had to be relit and so I waited half an hour, I was offered a drink whilst I waited. Accessibility mixed - heavy front door and slight step in (door sill), however the door is highly visible from the bar and booking area. Staff can open the door and put down a ramp. No toilet for the disabled, independent transfer needed. The restaurant is wheel chair accessible and they can move screens that create more intimate areas for increased accessibility. Car Parking - on road and council car parks near by (2 hours free, make sure you have a ticket. Weekends free, ticket not needed). Allergens - leaflet by the Restaurant, on request behind the bar. Food - my vegetarian, I enjoyed thoroughly, good flavours across the different dishes, my Peshwari Nan stuffing was not skimped on, always a good sign. Vegan food - flexible, you can request other dishes on the menu to be vegan. Off menu - there are some extra dishes or existing dishes can be adapted on request. Bar - alchohol and soft drinks. Price - good, fair value. Toilets - male and female, no disabled toilet.

All way use this place as I haven't found one in Scunthorpe as good. Food is excellent and the staff are really polite and helpful.We also get takeaway from them same again excellent food and service,definitely keep using them .

We have dined here many times now, and also had takeaway from there too. I genuinely don't remember being disappointed with any of the food we have received from them. When dining in, the staff are always attentive and serve with a smile. Midweek they have a set meal offer on, which is great value.

Had an excellent Sunday carvery, one of the best ever .4 choices of roast meats and 4 other dishes with copious variety of vegetables. You can sample all the choices . Everything was cooked to perfection.Second helpings available but I couldn't eat any more. Staff were friendly and efficient Advise booking . Great to see the "Shef" thriving again . Was happy to see the WW1 photo of the men going to war (including my great grandad) is still on show 👍

We stayed at acorn Woods small caravan site. Wonderful place and they recommended The Sheffield Arms...what a wonderful find. All you can eat carvery and if you're not quite full you can re fill. They do a lovely breakfast too and other meals. Superb and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place although food rather soggy ( veggies) and meat with no flavour. As for Saturday meal it wasn't right choice. We will come back for drinks but definitely not food as my husband was very unsatisfied .

Went for a meal last night, first time been in since 2015. Steak and ale pie peas and chips, credit to the chef. Lovely ambience within, pure country pub, very relaxing and friendly people around. Prices are very reasonable, absolute value for money. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need, always smiling and at hand if you require their service. We’re at a campsite on Darby road, and use regularly, now we will be using Sheffield arms even more on our camping trips. 100% going more often for our meals .

Went there on Wednesday evening for a meal. Disappointed that there was no carvery available. We therefore ordered from the menu (not very discriptive). My partners meal came with coleslaw on top of his fresh salad. Neither of us like coleslaw. I mentioned this to the waitress and she brought out a fresh salad dish. The chicken was coated in breadcrumbs and was over cooked. My meal had onion rings, that were dark and overcooked. I complained again when I paid the bill. 25% was deducted off the bill, we won't eat there again unless it's for a carvery!

Just been for a weekend away at the local campsite . We had breakfast here it was perfect ,so we booked for the evening meal

Popped in for dinner - absolutely lovely. Clean and spacious, friendly welcome and a great menu. Food came in a decent but proper amount of time (if it's within minutes then you know it's been microwaved, not here - genuine cooked food). The pie was delicious served with thick gravy and a choice of taters - even happy to make a substitution on the sides for my Mum. A big thank you to all. New manager Dan is off to a cracking start for sure.

very old and poorly maintained. The worst part is the bathroom, if you don’t keep the door shut at all times, the entire room fills with a strong sewer smell coming from the drains. It’s disgusting and makes it Impossible to sleep or relax. You literally can’t get rid of the smell unless the bathroom door stays closed. Absolutely not worth staying in.

Weve had nice meals here in the past but very disappointing this time. We ordered two starters as we only needed a snack and after waiting a good while the waitress came back from the kitchen to say we would need to order a main course as well. So we left and got a kebab from across the street instead.

This place feels like you've just walked into the country itself, the staff are kind and welcoming and you get served in a matter of minutes. There is also a HUGE range of dishes so they will always have something that suits your taste. The fact that they come all the way from Birmingham every night to run the restaurant astonishes me. Overall, the restaurant has made Thai cuisine my favourite food.

Nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food was quite delicious. We are used to Thai food in Australia and there were a couple of dishes missing that we usually order but what we did get was delicious. Thank you for a lovely meal :)

The food was lovely and the staff friendly. However this restaurant needs updating. The decor is very tired. The hand dryers don't work in the ladies toilet and there was no other facility i.e. hand towel or paper towel to dry your hands on. It smelled of damp in the restaurant and the tiny electric heaters did not warm the restaurant up. It was freezing in there. We only warmed up when we were eating our food. A revamp and this place will be having customers flocking back in.

We have visited exotic Thai at least twice a year for the past ten years and the quality has never declined. The place is friendly, intimate and the food delicious. The lunchtime menu £7 for a starter and main with rice is excellent value! Would highly recommend

Lovely Fish and Chips restaurant, with friendly staff, good food, and old-fashioned service. The Prawn cocktail was delicious and presented well. Cod was perfectly fried along with the chips. My partner's Lemon Sole was nice, too. And a good old nice pot of tea for two. The restaurant was clean and tidy. They also have takeaway chippy next door.

Best chippy in town by far. Always fresh hot and crispy. Only thing I would suggest is best to order out of rush hour times as then the food is cooked to order. Just a little better given not sat in the hot plate.

Called in today had fish and curry sauce x2 . It was an amazing and well worth the vist . Came from Castleford as well to get a car and while waiting had a look round and that came up so we went and well food was outstanding, the owner and staff was full of chat and made us both feel welcome

Edit. We went to the takeaway side this time, and whilst the lady serving was friendly, the portion size was tiny for the cost! Over £20 for fish and chips twice with peas! The fish was OK but not what we would call a large, but the chips were such a small amount we nearly took the lot back. Thought they might be hiding under the fish but nothing!! Won't be coming back anytime soon I'm afraid. We went to the restaurant for the first time for my girlfriends birthday. We were seated straight away in a clean and well spaces restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was freshly cooked and good sized portions. Found this chip shop online when stopping off to see family and being coeliac, this looked perfect. Online it offers haddock & chips but i phoned through and asked for gluten free cod & chips and was absolutely not a problem. I wentvto collect it and they couldn't have been more helpful. He even remembered my name which was nice. He said they've been doing gluten free for 12 years was is brilliant. I even got a hug from a very friendly customer. Portion sizes were huge and were lovely. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much guys. Will definitely be back next time we're visiting.

Have to say it's impressive. At one time we wouldn't eat at Scalinis as oil always stank and it was filthy. It was a real pleasure to eat there great service warm welcome and the food was hot, tasty and presented nicely

Fine dinning, perfect in every way, this should have a mechelen star. I ate things I did not like, because they made them likeable, Dom means home and it felt like it. We had the alacart menu which was perfect, they also offered w taster menus but we didn't think we could eat that much. Worth going out of your way to eat here

DOM has officially claimed its spot as my new favorite dining destination! Their 10-course taster menu was an absolutely outstanding, with every single dish proving to be an incredible creation. It's genuinely hard to pick a favorite when everything was so exceptional. The salmon, duck, and pigeon dishes were all incredible, even the carrot Matty couldn't stop talking about. However, the true star of the show, was the beef tartare with charcoal oil and arguably the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a casual dining experience that delivers on every front, DOM is an absolute must-visit. You won't be disappointed!

A truly wonderful new exciting restaurant in the heart of Scunthorpe. We had the pleasure of dining here today so soon after it opened, we managed to get a table we went for the nine course tasting menu and added a few extra dishes that took our fancy the team have got so much love and passion for the food. You would be hard pressed to find anything wrong with this menu. I’ll highly recommend you experience this and sample its delights as it really brings something fun and exciting to the food scene. I eagerly look forward to seeing what they do in the near future and will be back many times

Wonderful date night! We enjoyed the perfectly thought out Tasting Menu. Nine dishes cleverly designed to give you a journey through the flavours. The best thing is you can have as little or as many plates as you wish to suit your own taste.The open plan cooking and variety of smells that change during the evening is an experience in itself. Special mention to Kris one of the chefs who brought over one of the courses to explain the dish - this was a lovely touch. Scunthorpe doesn't have anything like this. OMGoodness, we went back to DOM last night to try their 10 course tasting menu and we were not disappointed in any way. Each course looked, smelt wonderful, their attention to the smallest detail is astounding. Between Kirsty and Benoit each course was presented with great detail which made them even better. The open kitchen is a joy to see and the chefs are great. We will be back for sure 😃

Ordered takeaway for the first time very impressed from the packaging to the food. The packaging made it feel like 5 star food. The food was excellent tasty and hot I had mixed meat and chips best I've had in ages if had to be nit picking the chicken could of been bigger pieces and not shavings but I still enjoyed it I would highly recommend and I definitely be ordering again. The driver was friendly too .

Having an asian pallet and with preference for non spicy food, my order was absolutely bland ( as is mentioned in other reviews). Vegetable manchurian smelled of being burned. Will never order again.

Firstly, the egg fried rice contains no egg and has no flavour whatsoever. Furthermore, the chips and the sweet and sour sauce are bland. The only good thing was the prawn crackers. I would not recommend for the price you are paying.

Took one bite of the sweet and sour "chicken" Hong Kong style and spat it straight back out. Stringy, rubbery and cold. Vile! Is it even chicken?! Roast pork curry with huge chunks of fat. Never again. I've got pictures but don't know how to add them.

We had the pleasure of dining at Greek Kitchen today for lunch, and the experience was outstanding. My beef was cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken with Greek salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The consistency of quality here is remarkable. This truly is a hidden gem, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Visited Greek Kitchen Taverna as I was passing the nearby area, really nice cosy authentic restaurant! The Greek village sausage to start was great, the pork gyros for main was also very good. The prices are incredibly reasonable too, just £6.50 for the sausage and £7.50 for the gyros. The staff were lovely too (shoutout to the British girl), couldn’t do enough for me and thought ahead for things I needed eg napkins etc before it even crossed my mind! The kind of service that usually comes with a big price tag attached to it in high end restaurants. Look forward to returning.

We had lunch here and food was delicious, reasonably priced(went on Wed which was a special deal day) Service, very personal and friendly, by the owner. Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and would have wandered around the gardens if weather had been kinder.

If I could give it more than a 5/5 I would, Jim, Kate and all the staff were amazing, our wedding day was perfect, there was no stress, it felt very personal to us, Jim was tireless, he was doing everything on the day, evening and night to make the day special. Just had a wonderful mini break at the Cleatham Hall Hotel. Really enjoyable, initially we were just going to book for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but then realized they did accommodation, so thought we would take advantage of this. Wow, our room was absolutely beautiful, vintage Victorian style, and a to die for en suite.! a huge bath with a view over the countryside to the Pennines in the distance. The meal, of course, along with the breakfast more than held its own, we had our favourite, scallops for starters, then steak and salmon respectively, all cooked to perfection. Our hosts, Kate and Jim looked after us superably, nothing was too much trouble. Would we go again? You bet! What a find!

Beautiful location and perfect hosts. Jim and his wife are such lovely people. Fantastic service and so helpful in every way. Dinner was lovely in the restaurant and the grounds are stunning for walks. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. The showers are very poweful and the rooms are decorated beautifully. A little gem of a stay.

15 minutes from Hemswell Antique Centre in beautiful quiet suroundings is an old mansion house once owned by Charles Darwins family. We stayd in the Gainsborough room. Spacious, lovely views, amazing bathroom. My wife and I had the best nights sleep in years, in the huge brass bed. We had a lovely dinner and a great breakfast. We look forward to staying there again

Nice tea, but a little expensive. Haven't tried the coffee. I'm not really a burger person. The hand cut chips are brilliant and large and filling. They've got some great homemade cakes. I don't like the rockabilly background music.

Lovely afternoon tea with mum. Late birthday for me, early birthday for mum treat. It was a real treat as well. We both had some items left and the staff very kindly gave us some boxes so we could fetch it home.

I went to deep pan pizza on New Years eve after work. Even though it was 9PM on NYE, I got my order within 20 minutes. The staff were understandably very busy but were polite and efficient, even under the pressure of many phone orders coming through all the time. My food was delicious and hot. This is the only place in town for pizza for my family and I, we live it

Disappointed the pizzas we ordered (x3) these were wafer thin with hardly any cheese. Hence the toppings individually falling off. They were hot and crispy. Family voted we go back to Stars Brumby Corner.

Food has been consistently good for years. Attended as a party of 11 for a new years eve meal. The menu also caters for guests who want 'english' food. The service seemed a bit slower this year, (we had to request refills for our drinks individually, rather than the waiter asking if anyone else at the table required a top up). Fair value for money, a nice evening destination.

My first order from here. We selected Jubraj primarily because of the 5 star Council hygiene ratings. The food was excellent and the service superb even for a take out order. Jubraj is now my 'go to' restaurant when I'm looking for something a little spicy. Great job lads, keep it up...

I love this place. My future husband is originally from Scunthorpe, so I have only been visiting Jubraj for 3 years or so. We have never had a bad meal, the service has always been spot on. My last visit was for my Hen Party. There were 9 of us and the staff took everything in their stride. Mo, who was in charge of the front of house was lovely. He was very patient, took everything that was said by 9 very tipsy women in his stride. He sat down with us and chatted to us while we ate. At one point, another couple came in to eat, they were warned there was a hen oarty in, and they joined in with the evening. This is our go to Indian. We highly recommend you come and try it.

One of the worst Indian meals I’ve ever had, the bill was also significantly incorrect. I can only assume that the manager is fleecing money to go towards his new restaurant that he was constantly advertising. There was also two sets of music playing that was very annoying and ruined the atmosphere.

I will never use this place again. My order arrived late and the brown food bag inside the carrier split open when I tried taking it out throwing all the food onto the floor. The sauce went everywhere. Rang them and the manager refused to speak to me and the employee said he is not playing messenger and hung up on me. £33 wasted and all they could say was it wasn't there fault as they had handed it over to me. What did they think I did throw it all over and go without I got pictures to show them it all over the place. Very bad customer service.

This has been a firm favourite for me and my family for over 20 years. The food is fantastic and the service is second to none. Most 'Indian' restaurants are actually Bangladeshi, so it's nice to see that the Jubraj is proud to be Bangladeshi and not pretending to be Indian. I don't even bother with the menu, I just ask them to make me something nice and they always do! Free parking right outside in the evenings. Highly recommended.

Disgusting service. Made to feel unwelcome from the start!! Took wine glasses off the table before we had even sat down properly. Taking empty glasses off table with no interested in asking if we wanted another drink, obviously just wanted us out from the start! Table was book aswell so they knew we were coming!Other tables offered drinks on the house and had no trouble with more drinks etc. No dessert menu was offered had to be asked get us one, when we did was made to feel less unwanted. A small American diner, doesn’t look much from the outside but serving exactly what you’d expect. The food portions were large plentiful and tasty, not shown a picture but the milk shakes are great, everything was cooked to order and the staff were warm and friendly.

Waited over an hour for it, arrived stone cold the chicken wasn’t edible you couldn’t chew through it. This cook needs hiring and they need to work on time keeping £43 for 2 people for farm food quality products. Disgusting service and food will be reporting to food and hygiene

Our delivery arrived half an hour later than stated and was barely warm. The food is definitely overpriced, the chicken burger had been cooked in dirty oil and was served in an oversized dry bun. The coleslaw was just cabbage and mayonnaise and the fries were bland and cold. The only dish was was acceptable was the macaroni cheese but even that was on par with a value supermarket microwave meal and not worth the price paid. Very disappointed could not even eat it.

Took my daughter here to celebrate her GCSE results as have been before and it was lovely. It has gone down hill. The music that was being played was nursery rhymes and the volume was ridiculously loud. We all ate our food at different times as only one waffle was being cooked at once so by the time the 1st person had finished the 2nd person was just getting theirs. Very poor service and very disappointed. I don't think we will be returning again.

We had a lovely evening at The George! The owners were friendly, accommodating and incredibly helpful. We were made to feel welcome and the pub felt really community focused. What a great spot - we will be back when next in the area. Highly recommend.

Proper unspoilt traditional village pub with a real fire in the bar. On the day I visited they had three cask beers on offer, one of which was Draught Bass, which was the one I settled on. It was absolutely perfect. Having just bought a property in the area, I expect that this pub will be my regular local. I just hope they don't change / spoil it, as has been the case with many of this type of pub.

What a lovely pub with a friendly welcome from both the punters and staff. We chose from the wide selection of zero alcohol beers and pub snacks on offer. Next time we visit we will eat from the hot food menu as the pies sound great!

The pub is charming with it decor and welcoming with amazing friendly staff, I have met the landlady and she were so kind and welcoming, the garden is accommodating and specious with roof covering table and out on sunshine tables -I am very enjoyed my stay (passing by the village) and would recommend to visit this place…. Especially I love the beer from local Brewer maned in memory of loving husband and the owner of this pub-Dave you are/were legend (I am sure of it) and are still loved by many ……….. thanks Jacky

First time dining here and we don't know why we left it so long! The menu is interesting, some things we'd not seen before and had to ask about. We were told that anything on the menu could be adapted to our taste. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the food excellent. We all enjoyed the evening very much and will definitely be returning.

First try of the Imperial Mahal & wasn’t disappointed… opted for a takeaway for me & my grandson: Chicken Tikka Madras Pilau Rice Onion Bhajis Sheek Kebab Chicken Pakora Garlic Naan 4 stars for service was particularly as I had to call to ensure my order had been received as the ‘status’ hadn’t updated after 10 minutes… after this was a smooth operation. My grandson commented on how nice it looked inside, as he went in to collect our meal… he also mentioned how the staff made him feel welcome and was very friendly, my grandson’s 15, he was delighted. Thank you 🙏🏽

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great service. We had great advice about what food would suit my Dad's palet and all suggestions were perfect. Visited here for the first time tonight, it definitely will not be our last! Although it was quiet (being a Thursday) there was a nice atmosphere and we felt very relaxed. The owner was most helpful and one of the politest people I have met. Service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and he advised us that anything we chose could be cooked to our desire regarding spicing and flavourings. The onion bhajis were lovely as a starter and the two mains were probably the best either of us has had before (and I spent a few years living in Rusholme in Manchester). I had the honey/mango chicken which was a lovely balance of flavours and hubby had chicken pallak which was beautiful. Add in rice and a fantastic naan bread and the whole thing was delicious. Also, we felt our bill was very reasonable. Will we return? Most definitely.

Service is terrible, staff are very rude. Ordering at one point then paying at another seems like a bad idea considering the woman at the till tried to give my food order to the woman ahead of me, so clearly it confuses them.

So had a breakfast called the big one cooked quite nice well presented but the marks go to the sausages I mean have they even seen a pig i have sausages am expecting some form of meat as I suffer with coeliac disease i can tolerate a little bit of wheat but 2 hours later I was on the toilet yeah I get it not your fault but get on to your supplier and tell them you want proper sausages I know there not cheap but dammed 25

Not as good as it once was. The food is sort of ok, a bit on the bland side and definitely expensive for this type of establishment. The staff are friendly enough, the atmosphre is more a case of what atmosphere.

Nice contemporary cocktail bar. Arguably a little out of place in Scunny 🤭 that said it was quite busy with a private party going off in the other room. Cocktails were reasonably priced. Went for a pitcher which was tasty, got a couple of drinks out of it. Nice interior with plenty of different types of seating.

Very well kept place, and a great atmosphere. Bottomless brunch was quite a slow service compared to other bottomless brunches I've been too elsewhere though. Pizza was very tasty with good variety of flavours. Some of the cocktails could do with less ice. The baby guiness tree was fab!

The Black Door cocktail bar in Scunthorpe is absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the stylish and modern decor. The music was just right - not too loud and not too quiet - and really set the tone for a great night out. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the vast selection of cocktails on offer. They recommended a few of their personal favorites and wow, they did not disappoint! The drinks were expertly crafted and tasted amazing. The atmosphere in the bar was lively and fun, yet not too overcrowded or overwhelming. I really appreciated the cozy seating areas and the dim lighting, which added to the overall ambiance. One thing I loved about The Black Door cocktail bar was their attention to detail. From the stunning presentation of the drinks to the perfectly sized and flavored bar snacks, everything was top-notch. Overall, I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Black Door cocktail bar. The drinks, atmosphere and service were all outstanding and I simply cannot wait to go back! Pona colada could be better hehe , fresher flavour . Drink menue and building could rise bigger with different music's different colour room otherwise , best resting place in scunthorpe . Modern .

Lovely place chilled ,pizzas very nice ,staff lovely .had a few cocktails too .Nice couple of hours. How about a garlic bread added to the menu and more choice on the vege pizza. Good prices too .

This is my go to takeaway for a curry , never had a bad experience with these guys , always get the chefs specials . Anyway decided to try the munchbox for a bit of everything . Was amazing and it fed 2 adults and a couple of picky 15 year old kids . I’ve reviewed this company a couple or three times over the past few months to a year on various platforms just eat , google etc . So thought I’d share another review to share to people how consistant and a great service they provide on top on great food . 🙂

Have had the same food from here almost every month for over a year now and the food has always been excellent, very tasty and brilliant portions.The last 2 orders iv had have not been as good, less chicken in the curry’s, less rice and smaller naan. The poppadoms have had an unpleasantness after taste same as the onion bhaji. I can only assume the smaller sizes is due to the price rises.

What an amazing place, for a start from the moment you enter you are treated with such kindness and smiling faces, we didn't order anything special for " pick up " just a couple of kebabs and 2 cheesy chips, yes we can not comment on meals they provide ( not at the moment but watch this space ) they we so nice and tasty, would well recommend this place

Ordered from here yesterday evening after a recommendation. Very happy with the standard of food. Ordered a decent amount and had no issues with any of it. Will definitely be ordering from Chillies again. Website was fairly simple to use and the staff friendly and polite. Definitely better than our local choices of takeaway.

Nice, tasty food but a victim of their own success. Telephone ordered a Chillies XL Special Kebab @6.00pm on a saturday & was told it would be ready to collect in 40 minutes. It eventually came out at 7.20pm.

What a fab place! Very unexpected for the area. Lovely decor. Amazing menu, really modern but roots in tradition. The food was beautiful. The wine was nice. The price was very fair. The guy serving us was amazing. Thank you.

Wow wow wow! We visited to celebrate my dad's birthday, all lovers of Indian cuisine this was incredible! I had heard good things about this place and it lived up to and exceeded my expectations!! The food is outstanding, piping hot, fresh, so incredibly tasty. Between the 6 of us we ordered many different dishes all of which packing a punch of flavour. Easily the best Indian I've eaten and even better its close by. I cant wait to return!

Absolutely stunning food and service at this new restaurant venture from the guys who have made MaCh so successful near Lincoln. A fresh look at Indian food for the Lincolnshire region, and by what we ate tonight, Pritam's is going to be a phenomenal success. Every dish was filled with aromatic flavour, offering something new to the palette with each bite. Top highlights were the Mixed Platter, Okra Fries and the Daal Makhani Whether you live local to Scunthorpe, or further afield like us near Lincoln, Pritam's is definitely worth the drive out

What wonderful, fresh flavours, the best I have ever eaten. Our waiter was very knowledgeable. Everything is cooked fresh to order and we weren't rushed. It was a Tuesday and it was quiet. We chose from the £15 starter and mains menu, the portions were large and we couldn't eat it all and they packed up left overs to take home. I don't like fresh coriander and usually other places seek it in thinking I wouldn't know but I can say they didn't spoil any dishes doing this. Only one complaint, no coffee. Wonderful night

Have to say,it's by far the best Indian food in Scunthorpe and one of the best Indians I've ever had!..prices are very fair and the portion sizes are very very decent..any other Indian restaurant you go to and you order say a sheekh kebab,you barely get any kebab for a high price but the sizes of the sheekh kebabs from Pritams are massive and the flavour is amazing!..properly spiced and dishes are distinguishable from each other with their own unique flavour..the Onion Bhajis are lovely and crispy and the Mushroom Bhaji was amazing,lovely chunky well cooked mushrooms in a sweet spicy sauce..garlic naan breads were nice and light,not a doughy as you'd normally have them,still substantial buy not heavy..main courses were fantastic,chips were crispy and not soggy,the lamb in my karai wasnt tough and just melted..just all around brilliant flavour and quality of food,the restaurant is lovely and clean and a nice place to go sit down..was such a shame to not see anyone else in the restaurant,this place is definitely slept on and needs more recognition!..the staff were real friendly and chatty and easy to get on with!..10 out of 10 from me!

Its quite good but if you're typical indian and want the tadka spicy food then no this place isn't for you , i went on my anniversary for dinner and it was kind of okay okay.

My first impression on ordering was not good, the person taking my order, I felt was quite rude, but having said that, the food was plentyfull and very good, sad they don't deliver, that would be helpful for u who don't walk too well. I will defo use the Orintial again

Great food young Eddie is a little brusque but that’s because he’s in a hurry to get your food ready and the next customers order. Never had a bad meal. Did a buffet set of meals for my 50th birthday everyone said it was fantastic. I’ve been going here for more than 40 years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Best chinese takeaway I've ever had, hands down.

Very average. Chips were like a chippy. Chicken balls were cooked in what tasted like fish batter. The egg fried rice tasted boiled. The place looked awful. Don't understand where all these rave reviews came from. The only thing that I gave the extra star for is the price, which was very cheap for a Chinese meal for 2. Infact less then £15, but I wouldn't eat there again.

What can I say, the service was good, the food was tasty and will have to return just to make sure what I had could be replicated lol

1st time in the area. The food was spot on, even tweeked to my preference. And contrary to some of the reviews I have seen on here, Eddie (I think that was his name) was funny and helpful.

The food is always utterly delicious from here, I’ve never had a bad meal from them. Don’t let the gentleman behind the counter put you off, the food is worth it!!!

This has to be the best chippy takeaway we’ve ever had. We always order for delivery and live in the next village, the delivery times are unbelievably quick! The lady that has delivered to us every-time is absolutely lovely. Best takeaway by far! We tried the Donner Wrap for the first time today and we may have found our new regular takeaway!

Excellent fish chips scraps and homemade tartar sauce. Always use this chippy when visiting the area and one of the best ever.

Purchased the line caught haddock with chips and mushy peas. Unfortunately I was disappointed with it, I had more batter than fish, the fish was tasteless and seemed to be very “watery” and the bottom of the fish was very mushy and didn’t look appetising at all (see picture) so I had to leave it. The chips contained a high percentage of scrappy chips so in all not a great meal from this establishment.

Excellent Haddock & Chips. Our 2nd visit, and it was just as good both times. Hopeful this will become a favourite of ours.

Just come up from the Isle of Wight for a special dog show final. We’ve just had the best pie and chips with mushy peas and gravy ever! Well recommended!

Really lovely small fish and chip place that has some really quality food and very attentive staff. The home-made sauces that are available are something to make sure to grab - the burger sauce especially. Yum.

We have been going to Sicilians pizzeria since it opened when the owner came from Leeds and they are simply the best pizza around they really know how to make them we travel from Yorkshire to get them they have served my family all my children and now my grandchildren the garlic bread is the best around the country and we have tried many but always come back to Sicilians my son's Craig and Simon always use them si who brings mine

Best take away in Scunthorpe by far, pizza is not your normal pre made doe. Burgers are nice and thick not your little thin horrible things. The garlic mayo is to die for 👌. Can get a little busy so wait times can be about a hour but other than that can’t complain.

We ordered a 14" pepperoni, 11" pepperoni, burger & large fries. We recieved 2 x 11" pepperoni, 1 x 11" margherita, burger & soggy uncooked fries which we had to airfry until cooked and unclumped. I called to complain & was offered replacement food or to apply for a refund through just eat for the fries & margherita. I must say the pizza was tasty but cold by the time we ate it.

Ordered with 1 hr delivery chased delivery at 1 1/2 hrs , took just over 2 hrs to get here Called to complain food was cold and no answer , funnily enough called back from diff phone 1 min later and was answered straight away but not interested “nothing they can do “ - no customer service at all Also don’t be deceived by “coleslaw salad “ for £4 for a small tub of shop bought coleslaw

Really friendly staff, will sort you out if you have any problems, the food it s really good pretty nice portions on the kebabs and wraps they are not shying away from making them full of meat and the vegetables are always fresh as they throw away the remaining of the old ones and prepare new ones beforehand for every shift opening. If you don t believe me you should at least try it one time before taking my word. About the takeaways they are on time almost always beside rares ocasions when they are maybe really busy wich it s understandable.

What a gem this place is. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Cocktails were fantastic too. The staff were lovely, super friendly, helpful and didn't rush us out (even though it was a busy Friday night) We will definitely be back!

Came for a bottomless brunch yesterday and wow! This is one of the best bottomless brunches I have done in the local area, we paid for the option where you got a 2 course meal and the upgraded cocktails and it is amazing value for money! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was friendly and so helpful, and the restaurant itself is so cosy and stunning! Booking via Facebook was so easy & the confirmation a few days before was a nice touch, The whole afternoon ran like clockwork! I loved the way the drinks kept flowing with writing your next drink in a notebook and the staff was regularly coming round to take the next orders! Just a fabulous afternoon could not fault it one bit, I will certainly be back in the future! 🍹 🍕 🍴 🇮🇹

I've been sleeping on this place....my wife suggested here to take friends from out of town and we couldn't of been happier. The food was top drawer and a credit to the chef. We had just returned from Sicily and the food just brought back memories. The entrance is blink and you'll miss it understated so don't miss it. The service staff are young but incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Don't take my word for it, give it a try.

Absolutely loved this place. Last min booking with a baby but they were so kind and accommodated us. Service was very good and the food was brilliant. Beautiful decor, very cosy feeling. Would definitely go back again and will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you.

We were so very impressed with Abbondante. We were visiting friends and, having been informed that one of the party was vegan, they went absolutely out of their way to ensure that this food preference was catered for in all 3 courses!! Well done Abbondante, we've had much less help and thought from many other places. We will be back for sure! Everyone had a wonderful meal and would have eaten more if we could. Thank you to all of the kind and friendly staff for making this a great dining experience.

Took 2 hours to arrive, only ordered a bbq pizza and a Dr Pepper. However the driver got hungry and decided to eat 3 slices and left the crust in the box. He also gave me the wrong drink, Fanta orange. Which I don’t like. Picture is included.

Before they made nice food but later on the food become not fresh. Not fresh i mean especially meat too much dry. We stop buy from 2 years in domino's.

I was in store waiting for my food everyone except an nice gentleman called cameron I think was being abrupt and poor Cameron hurt his arm by burning himself and the first aider said put ice on it I think they need evaluation on the first aid staff
