My first impression on ordering was not good, the person taking my order, I felt was quite rude, but having said that, the food was plentyfull and very good, sad they don't deliver, that would be helpful for u who don't walk too well. I will defo use the Orintial again
Great food young Eddie is a little brusque but that’s because he’s in a hurry to get your food ready and the next customers order. Never had a bad meal. Did a buffet set of meals for my 50th birthday everyone said it was fantastic. I’ve been going here for more than 40 years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Best chinese takeaway I've ever had, hands down.
Very average. Chips were like a chippy. Chicken balls were cooked in what tasted like fish batter. The egg fried rice tasted boiled. The place looked awful. Don't understand where all these rave reviews came from.
The only thing that I gave the extra star for is the price, which was very cheap for a Chinese meal for 2. Infact less then £15, but I wouldn't eat there again.
What can I say, the service was good, the food was tasty and will have to return just to make sure what I had could be replicated lol
1st time in the area. The food was spot on, even tweeked to my preference. And contrary to some of the reviews I have seen on here, Eddie (I think that was his name) was funny and helpful.
The food is always utterly delicious from here, I’ve never had a bad meal from them. Don’t let the gentleman behind the counter put you off, the food is worth it!!!

Always great food and that hasn’t changed even since I went gluten free. The guy on the desk is always helpful and lets me know what is suitable and what’s not.

Tbh I have been to a lot of Chinese takeaway in Scunthorpe. Probably all of them and I’d give this one my top list. Amazing salt and pepper shredded beef (A MUST ORDER DISH) and crispy wonton. I can honestly eat this everyday.

Great food, loved the Black bean chicken and chicken fried rice. I also got The Roast Duck Chinese style. I was expecting it to be dry, but it was a gravy dish. Tasted great regardless.

Most recently, we tried the set menu at £24 a head. The portion sizes we're perfect and food was as per usual, beautiful. I can't complain over anything. Brilliant!

We called in to eat because we were already in town.
The restaurant was fully booked but because we were there early, they seated us anyway.
We had the banquet for two. The food came out promptly and was well cooked and presented.
Service with a smile so all was well.
You could eat here with confidence.
Food was nice and Leah was so friendly, however, the waitress with the blonde hair took it extremely personally when there was an order mix up and made it her mission for the rest of the evening to slate our table to other staff and glare at us from across the room, as well as giving attitude. Other than that would have given 5 stars but unfortunately she made our whole table uncomfortable.
10/10 restaurant! I came all the way from London and this is honestly the nicest Chinese I've ever had. Moz and Munch treated me so well and made sure I was properly looked after. Would a million percent recommend!

I was surprised at how big the restaurant and bar was.

Ordered after reading good reviews, but unfortunately was hugely disappointed. Ordered prawn fried rice and vegetable manchurian. Having an asian pallet and with preference for non spicy food, my order was absolutely bland ( as is mentioned in other reviews). Vegetable manchurian smelled of being burned. Will never order again.
Firstly, the egg fried rice contains no egg and has no flavour whatsoever. Furthermore, the chips and the sweet and sour sauce are bland. The only good thing was the prawn crackers. I would not recommend for the price you are paying.
Never had a bad meal,, 7 month later on from last review and still spot, cooked perfectly and delivered on time.
Took one bite of the sweet and sour "chicken" Hong Kong style and spat it straight back out. Stringy, rubbery and cold. Vile! Is it even chicken?! Roast pork curry with huge chunks of fat. Never again. I've got pictures but don't know how to add them.

First time we have ordered from here and it won't be the last. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing and so was the special fried rice. We have intolerances and they catered for us which is brilliant. Thank you so much we will be back. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the prawn toast but I know it's lovely as my partner enjoyed it. You get plenty as well ordered too much but we know for next time
Wednesday 4th December went in and ordered for 4 of us got home the chips where like last nights leftovers warmed up the rice was cold the special curry not much meat full of onions curry very bland not like it used to be I would of been better going to Asda for one in a bag 🥺
Ordered food here today for tea. We picked up as we live close and the food was ready in ten minutes and it was still fresh and hot when we got home, it was delicious.

That was thee most disgusting chicken rice I have ever had, so dry it could have been made last week and I was physically sick after it. Been a customer of theirs for years but won't go back again.

Most disgusting food I have ever had. When I went into the shop to collect the food the smell was unbearable. Then an angry chinese lady came up to me and said “what do you want”. The chicken was undercooked, chewy and pink. The crispy beef looked like human waste in the bean sauce. There were hairs on the salt and pepper chicken wings and the food was cold. I threw up and had food poisoning. Worst experience I have ever had with takeaway
Have had food from here several times now and 8 out of 10 times the food is nice. The duck was three quarters fat/skin and not meat and some times there is way to much onion in the chow main.
This is my fav chinese take away food is great every thing i have had has been 10/10 i rarely go any were else..

Rang at 8.50 no show so rang at 9.50 to be told ten minutes for the driver to turn up at 10.20 I said can it not be discounted they said no the woman answering was very rude quick to get me off the phone and giving excuses as to why no show yet if I’d of known it was going to be an extra 30 minutes when I rang after an hour I’d of cancelled but the woman couldn’t be honest enough. Customer service is a joke you’d of given the meal free or at least discounted for good reputation won’t be using again.

This Chinese takeaway offers delicious food at reasonable prices. The owners and the cashier lady were very friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the vegetables in garlic sauce. The dishes are freshly prepared and served piping hot. The ingredients tasted fresh and the food was wonderfully flavourful – no soggy or oily disappointments here! The only downsides are that they currently only accept cash payments and they do not offer a home delivery service. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely be a returning customer.
I’m a regular here for years and just brought today’s takeaway home and am sorely disappointed as it’s nowhere near its usual great taste. Chef today not anywhere near up to usual high standard sorry to say

The food from this place is amazing. Portions very good, taste excellent, service very quick. You can phone your order in advance, food is always hot, best Chinese for miles. Worth a visit. 10 out of 10 from me .

I have a takeaway most Fridays from ba ba I have to to say food is very nice and fresh. The staff are very helpful the chef especially is a very nice chap . If any problems is is happy to help . I would recommend to anyone. See you next Friday 👍🏻👍🏻

Just had a meal special chow main was very nice sweet n sour chicken balls was also ok ... but dont order the duck in black bean sauce it was awfull there was only a few bits of duck the rest was fatty duck skin ... yuk !!! put me off from going back ... baba kitchen u should not be sending rubbish out like that in your take aways.
Very disappointed this is now the 2 nd time in as many weeks 1stly given wrong order and haveing to travel from scunthorpe to Messingham to collect 2ndly been to try again only to get all the way back home and find I've got an incomplete order after ringing them up to complain find in fairness not been charged for the said item but still disappointed will think before I come again .
Always had a very tasty satisfying meal from here. Going to start ordering from here more often. I think that says it all.
