Very lovely place, but I've noticed that this was a 5* food hygiene, and now it's 3*. Fish and chips were good. Very decent portions, loads of chips, and a good bit of fish. The prices could be better but that's just how things are going now of days. Tartar sauce was nice, and the curry sauce & mushy peas were lovely and came in massive pots. Staff were lovely, and the service was very attentive. There was a que to get in. Bit of a wait, about 15 minutes, but that is nice to see. It proves it's good. Some other points, I think staff should be a bit more on their feet. People were waiting outside, and tables were just sat empty with plates on. Also, you need to keep the white paper receipts with your orders when you pay. This was not told to us by staff when we ordered. Luckily, we had kept ours on the table. I can see this causing issues.

We were a party of ten, and they accommodated us without any problems, which was a huge relief. The fish and chips themselves were of great quality, perfectly cooked with crispy batter and flaky fish. Portion sizes were also generous, ensuring everyone left satisfied. What really stood out was the friendly and helpful staff; they made our visit a pleasure. If you're in Filey and craving classic fish and chips, Inghams is definitely the place to go!

We had a lovely meal at Ingrams during our visit to Filey. It’s a great spot for families—very kid-friendly with a relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were attentive and genuinely warm, checking in just the right amount without being overbearing. The food was excellent. Portions were generous, perfect after a day at the beach, and everything was served piping hot. The crispy batter on the fish was a standout—light, golden, and full of flavour without being greasy. Paired with thick-cut chips, it was classic seaside fare done really well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming place with good food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

This place serves just the best delicious fish & chips anywhere imo - never had a bad experience yet. Staff lovely and helpful takeaway for fish & chips - cannot fault - white perfectly cooked fish & the most yummy chips … perfection. Just what we needed after a lovely morning on the beach.

Enjoyed generous portions of Haddock and chips at this very popular Filey Fish Restaurant. The menu includes some other interesting choices and there is a small selection for vegetarian and children. Takeaway is also available.

We had a nice meal here, the kids managed to get Chicken Nuggets and chips (although one did steal our poppadoms and the other ate most of our Garlic Naan) which kept them happy. The restaurant isn't massive, but they also do takeaway options from here as well. Worth noting that they do not sell alcohol here, although I think you can potentially take your own. Service was good, we had a pleasant time here.

We had a family meal at Monsoon, and were treated to a truly outstanding curry. The staff were incredibly attentive and ensured we had a highchair upon arrival. Special mention to the Handu Bhuna and the Am Nehri, however the standout dish for me was the Punjabi Chips.

Popped in for a quick meal on my own. Food was delicious and prices reasonable. I enjoyed Sheek Kebab starter and a delicious lamb shank bhuna. Will be back when next in the area.

Came to Filey on a family holiday and decided to go here for a meal. There were 2 adults and 3 children. The staff were very polite and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant from all the staff that looked after us. We will definitely be coming back her next time we're in Filey. Having just moved to Filey we called in on the chance of getting a table on a busy Friday night, fortunately one table was available but otherwise the place was full, a good sign. The staff were great and the food was amazing, very good quality and all freshly cooked. There were lots of takeaway orders going as well but the service was excellent and food arrived in good time. None of us could fault the food, and indeed it was one of the best Indian meals we have had. It was also excellent value for what we had. We will certainly be customers here again in the near future, and would recommend it to anyone.

Great staff.. explained I can by beer across road (no alcohol license) Food was so nice. Buna mixed grill is so tasty and they made it madras hot on request. My 11 year old had tandoori half chicken on bone and loved it All five dishes was very good Thanks to friendly efficient staff for a good night

Quite simply superb. This was one of the best, if not the best Indian meals we have ever had. We had lamb shank bhuna and garlic chilli chicken, the lamb was melt in the mouth tender and perfectly spiced and to die for flavoursome. The garlic chilli chicken was absolutely gorgeous and cooked to perfection. We will definitely return when we are in Filey again, absolutely superb and highly recommended.

Read some pretty negative reviews recently on this place, but my wife insisted that we should judge it for ourselves. We booked a table for four which was ready when we arrived (17:45 on a Tuesday), the staff were all very attentive and polite and we all had a fantastic meal. Definitely will visit again on our next trip to Filey.

The staff are friendly, helpful and very pleasant. The relatively young staff know how to serve customers well and are attentive. The food is always cooked and presented well. Tables are spaced in a comfortable way, they haven’t tried to cram everyone together. Really nice place to visit.

We were on holiday in Filey and had noticed this place was always busy when we walked past so decided to try it. Food was great, service was quick - especially considering the restaurant was full and the staff were friendly and polite. Very reasonably priced too. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area but book in advance as it is busy (open for telephone bookings from 3pm) A shame we waited til our second week of holiday to try it, we'd have definitely gone a second time!

Went for the happy hour before 6pm, and glad we'd not paid full price. Marked food as a 2 star as the starter we had was lovely, however things took a turn with the mains. All pizzas were bland and one was inedible due to it having not much topping, with no flavour at all. First time any of us have had a pizza that didn't taste of anything. Staff seemed to be circulating around the restaurant, but like other reviews, it wasn't until we came to the clearing up of plates that we were asked how things were and weren't asked if we wanted the dessert menu or more drinks. We mentioned that the pizzas didn't taste of anything (one of which had one slice eaten and the meat from the topping), which the waiter seemed surprised about, but didn't offer an apology or a way to rectify. We mentioned the same when paying the bill when asked how everything was, it seems that the staff are unsure of how to deal with complaints as nothing was really said and no apology. I would not recommend this place for people visiting the area. Customer service and the pizzas need work.

The place is stunning and stuff is excellent! Very stylish restaurant, however we paid £12 per 3 scallops, which is crazy considering the place is next to the sea.. pretty upsetting for a starter. We ordered two different burgers afterwards and they were both a little bit dry, especially buns. Wine was good, dessert was delicious. Unfortunately, the aftertaste after paying £12 for 3 scallops ruined everything.. left £80 per two in the restaurant, we wish it was a little bit more value for this money.

Had a lovely visit here this afternoon. Michelle was absolutely wonderful - friendly, made us feel welcome and very attentive. Would absolutely recommend - we visit every time we are in Filey and this time was amazing as always.

Having visited this restaurant several times during our annual trips to Filey, we where left disappointed on this visit. Weeds on the entrance, days old fag ends, beer coasters and tissue/napkins in the corners and planters. In door floors, outdoors & toilets need a proper clean. Even though we hadn't booked, we were offered a table by the toilet entrance. (The nicer vacant/booked tables never got occupied during our 1 hour visit) We ordered 2 drinks which were plonked on the table next to, but not on the coasters! (Why?) Our Pizza (a bit bland and no sign of garlic butter) was delivered along with a side salad. (Why can't a pizza be cut fully into portions when you have the tools) We were given balsamic dressing, which was 3 months out of date! (No apology) The waitress cleared some nearby tables and noted the dog water bowl was empty but didn't bother to replenish. No one asked if our meal was OK until we came to pay. Then we got the usual token gesture at tip time "was everything ok" Owners/management need to visit.

Didn't eat here so can't rate the food. Drinks and service was all good 👍. Relaxed sunny afternoon. Been going here for years so holds plenty of memories especially the grape vine that grows inside. Will return when in the area again someday.

The service was really quick. I would definitely recommend booking as it fills up quite quickly, especially on bank holiday weekends. Lovely meal, great service. We come to Charlotte’s every time we visit Filey and I see us continuing to do so in the foreseeable future.

Absolutely amazing Food. The service was warm and pleasant. And the atmosphere was calm but vibrant. My toddler even managed to clear his plate.

The best place for pizza in Filey in my opinion. You can book for the inside tables but you can just turn up for outside tables. Absolutely delicious. Thin and crispy yet soft and cheesy as with a great variety of choices. Lots of great alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, cocktails and mocktails. Staff are very friendly and obliging. Child friendly. Clean toilets with baby changing facilities. I would recommend. We will definitely be back. Keep up the good work 👍🏻

Husband and I were meant to come last year but due to circumstances couldn't manage,we did arrange a date night this year and boy oh boy are we glad we did!! Arrived before our 5pm table and the lovely lady sat us early. Having scoured the menu beforehand we knew what pizza,we were after. We had a pepperoni and prosciutto and a tandoori chicken....can honestly say it was the best pizza we've ever had!!! Super thin crust and the tastiest toppings...we also had 2 cocktails each and they were delicious too...staff are also attentive without being overbearing and very friendly. Price was incredible for what we had and we will definitely eat here again when we come next year. Thanks ladies it was our pleasure to visit.

We ate at The Boat Shed on NYE as a family of 3. There was a great atmosphere, the pizzas, garlic bread & cocktails were delicious and the staff lovely. It's quickly becoming one of our favourite places to eat when visiting Filey.

Great starters i think the meat pizzas would benefit by not having the chicken pieces cubed ( frozen )other than that it was delicious. The staff are very welcoming and friendly my wife and i enjoyed it the beer was cold and any gin you like was available

If I can give 6 stars I would. Possibly the best selection of pizza I ever get across and definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve tried in my life. Very friendly, attentive and prompt staff. Small and well organised place and two dog friendly tables outside (heaters and blankets available). Huge bonus for being DOG FRIENDLY. Definitely want to go back and try more pizzas. Highly recommend if you are visiting this area.

Should've been 5 stars. Coffee was great. Friendly atmosphere. However, simple order error.... bacon, egg, avo on toast. Bacon missed. Instead of bringing a new plate, we waited 10 minutes until bacon on a plate was brought to us. By then, the egg was cold. The scone, though, was huge. Tasty. Fresh. Could do with extra jam to go with huge scone. That said, will visit again when next in the area

Highly Recommend! Had a delicious lunch here today. Walked round a bit trying to decide. Plenty of nice looking cafes in town. Chose this one and not disappointed. As a family of 4 we had: Steak ciabatta 2 x meatball ciabatta Coronation chicken sandwich All food was quick, good portion sizes and very tasty. Also ordered coffee which was nice and strong. Popped in for a decaf Americano and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The coffee was smooth and rich - decaf done right! Friendly service and a nice place to unwind.

Great food but they lack a few things. The ordering system at busy times is terrible. You have your table, worked out what you want, great, now go queue up outside 🤯 They don't do substitutions even if for dietary requirements. Really poor. Service is slow and mistakes are made but they were fixed. The half options are very expensive, should be cheaper. Only 1 toilet is poor for it's size.

Stopped for breakfast on a trip to the town. Was worried we'd be waiting for ages because a large order was placed ahead of ours but needn't have because food arrived in 10mins and was hot and fresh. Food was lovely and really enjoyed the home made bbq beans. Friendly staff and the cafe had a really good vibe. Will return when next in the area.

Really nice coffee shop, great homemade treats and freshly cooked food. My daughter loved the sausages that much she a: would not try any other coffee shops and b: wants to know where she can get them from. Help me Thirty! Always busy but staff appeared so calm and were really helpful. FANTASTIC

Picked up a Chinese hear while on holiday in the area. Chose it here as it had the better review score. We both really enjoyed the food as it was so tasty and is definitely up there as one of our favourites we have had. The food came out piping hot and we didn’t wait long. Will definitely come back if we were to visit the area again.

The quality and service at the Golden Dragon has always been good. We have never had a bad experience there. You do not have long to wait for your food to be bought to your table. The staff are always polite and happy to help. The food is freshly cooked and hot. The plus for me is that the food isn't greasy and there isn't too much, so there is less waste. I would recommend this place to family and friends if they ever visit Filey and fancy a Chinese meal.

Really good quality food, good size portions and loads of meat in the dishes. We've been twice this week for takeaway and been impressed on both occasions.

Refused a table told was fully booked. Local lad at side of us booked in at half 6 was told he could come in earlier or later (because it was empty)...place was completely empty half hour after opening 🤔. Quite happy to loose the custom of a family of five. Poor customer service weren't even offered a takeaway option. Poor business

Delicious food, especially the fish pie highly recommend! Lots of choice on the menu & empty plates all round. Beer garden out back is spacious. Dogs not allowed inside but welcome outside (water bowl out back).

One of the best Fish pies we have eaten for a long time. The wine was good value. The service by waiter very attentive, the Star a real family run atmosphere. I would be happy to go back and try other dishes on the menu.

Fab pub and food. The crab and lobster starter was delicious. Great steak pie, Hunters Chicken was really tasty. Good beers and gins selection. Has a beer garden at the back. Can sit under shelter at front with dogs.

Sat in the beer garden and most of us had the steak pie, chips and peas. Excellent quality - came with extra gravy without having to ask. Chips homemade - delicious. Steak pie - lovely pastry/lots of meat and so tender! 💯 recommended!!!

A bunch of locals were sat around the bar chewing the cud. A bit rough and ready but right enough. Dog friendly. A good selection of alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. Toilets were clean.

Went with my lad for the first time to see what the hidden, almost secret pub is about. Not a tourist pub.. so you get great service, good prices and not overly busy. Perfect. A traditional pub.. a real pub interior. Not all that modern.. but that is what I like.. Real, traditional and honest. Seemed like new grey soft carpets throughout. Stairs inside up to the bar.. so if your in a wheelchair or mobility issues.. you'd need a drinking partner able to get to the bar! Or I'm sure the friendly staff would help. Clean toilets and plenty of handwash etc. A great place, worth a visit for a quiet pint.. supporting local business.

A simple, split level bar, yet a wonderful pub. Great selection of ales, usually from small, independent Yorkshire breweries. Always well kept and a variety of styles. Friendly and welcoming to all, including dogs and children. Not your typical seaside pub. Well worth a visit.

As usual we got a warm welcome plus the dogs got biscuits. If u want posh don't go there if u want warm & friendly it's a great place. The toilets are dated but very clean.We have met some lovely people this week and they all agree the Bonhommes is a great place.

Fabulous little bar/ bistro. Exceptional owners, Karen & Neil and fantastic bar staff. We were in the bar on NYE , oh what a superb night from beginning to the end . Anyone visiting Filey, this bar is a must, you will not be disappointed

Captain Wills is a lovely place to go, the food is excellent and the place is immaculate. Karen and her husband are fantastic hosts who always give you a very warm welcome. DJ Mike is brilliant too who always gives the place a fabulous vibe. We love the place. Paul & Bev Godwin.

This restaurant is an absolute gem, with authentic Calabrian food on offer in a fantastic atmosphere, with warm, friendly, and excellent service. The food is competitively priced with other restaurants in the area, but the portions are generous, with a wonderful menu that will have you struggling to make a choice quickly, and quality is unrivalled! Expect to pay around £30 per head with drinks, which was, in my opinion, excellent value. I wouldn’t only recommend this restaurant, but advise anyone in, or visiting Filey to enjoy a dining experience here! Fantastic!!

We went to celebrate father’s day. Food was very tasty, there is good amount of choices- could be better if more chicken options added in the menu. Staffs are friendly and helpful. You can call for to reserve tables. When we reached the restaurant we’re told that they were fully booked and asked to come back after 30 minutes. When we went back after 40 minutes we got a table. Funny enough we didn’t see that all tables were occupied till the time we were seated, not sure what’s the meaning of “fully booked”. Paid Parking available at the shopping mall.

My wife and I called in on the off chance they could fit us in, fortunately they could. We were given menus and asked if we had any dietary needs. We were asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered our drinks and then ordered food. The food arrived after a short wait and it was all delicious. The service was gery good and attentive. From what we ordered the bill was good. In future when we go back to Filey we would book a table, because unfortunately a few people came in after us and the could not be fitted in.

For my birthday I visited to have a solo date, and loved the everything. The food simple and delicious, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Visiting definitely made my birthday more special and worth remembering. It was a great experience. ❤

Unbelievable little find. Stopped off at Filey, had a little walk around and popped into this authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommended the meatballs, the tomatoes based sause is to die for. Staff ate wonderful, to top it all a quartet came in playing music!!!! Great night. I recommend the merit.

Booked this restaurant as we were staying nearby for my friends 40th Birthday celebrations. Don’t know the area that well so based my decision to book here on good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The staff all very welcoming and the although no specific children’s menu they offered to make anything on the menu in smaller portions as everything is cooked fresh to order. The food we all had as a party of 7 was fabulous, very authentic Italian, all dishes tasted amazing and were generous portions. Comfortable homely atmosphere and great service throughout. We would definitely recommend, we had such a lovely evening, thankyou.

Have wanted a crab salad all week and finally found somewhere we could get one! Lovely salad, fresh and tasty with plenty of white and brown crab meat. Washed down with a pot of tea and a latte.

We had a delicious lunch here - cafe was full when we arrived but the lady in charge took our number and within 15 minutes called us to let us know there was a free table. We really enjoyed our lunch and the staff were so friendly that we returned the next morning for breakfast and really enjoyed that too. Would have liked more of the homemade coleslaw though, it's delicious!

Endearing, cosy cafe that's not to be overlooked. The staff are warm, welcoming and helpful but still very efficient. The menu choices are exceptional for such a small cafe, we had the chilli and lighthouse keepers lunch which were both excellent and generously portioned. The cake and dessert selection were also exceptional, and all this at reasonable prices. There was also a nice selection of themed gifts and produce to take away.

Pre booked for a family of 12. The young children were served first which kept them happy. Our food all came within minutes and was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Found this little treasure today. We had been looking for gluten free and the menu was quite substantial. Home made cakes, choice of brown or white bread and no extra fees for gf. Lovely food and plenty of it, staff were so friendly and helpful. When we come back to Filey, this will be our go-to cafe now.

We have visited here many times when visiting Filey and always been great. To be fair on our last visit everything was good as usual with regards to food, service etc. Unfortunately we were over charged by approximately £10 which regrettably we didn't realise until much later. £36+ for two sandwiches and a scone plus three drinks was excessive to say the least and I would have thought that they would have realised the error. I'm not suggesting it was done intentionally and I rather suspect that the waitress mixed our bill up with the one for the two ladies sat at the other window table who were dining lavishly.

My fiancé and I are regular visitors to Filey, but we have never eaten here, (we usually end up having waffles and ice cream) we decided today to get something a little more healthy. Well we weren’t disappointed with our meal, a lovely sirloin steak, cooked to perfection, with proper chunky chips and a crisp salad. It was all delivered to our table in a timely fashion by a very friendly waitress. We will definitely be eating here again if this is the offering.

Nice bar with a great balcony. Great place to enjoy a drink, admire the view and watch the world go by. Very helpful staff as well.

Wanted somewhere to eat inside as we had two children and wanted to get out of the sun and breeze. When we sat down we expected the food to be just okay as it's quite modest and simple inside. Anyway pleasantly surprised. The food was good. I asked for all the food at the same time so starters and mains as we were in a rush. All good. Really helpful staff and manager that helped us down the stairs with the double buggy. Just wish it would have been more cloudy so we could have sat on the terrace as the views are great. Definitely going back next time we are in Filey.

We had wonderful lunches on two occasions at this beautifully positioned place. Fish and Chips for my wife and Scampi and Chips for me the first visit. Both cooked superbly. We returned later in the week. Clare had Pasta Alfredo and I had Pan-fried Chicken. Again both highly enjoyable. 4 given for atmosphere because we went early to get a balcony table.

Been twice lately. Food delicious. Prices decent— despite a stunning view. Kind staff, who check on you without being “too much”. Staff seemed happy to check food ingredients for an allergy. Previously chef made a generous adjustment for a preference. Facility overshadowed by amazing views of the whole of Filey Bay from the Brigg down to Flamborough Head, especially from a balcony seat. Clean toilets! There is a large flight of stairs going to first floor restaurant level. There also seems to be a bar up half a flight of stairs but loud music so we did not linger there at all. Good food and good coffee. The service was fast and friendly, and I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. I had the veggie chilli which tasted great and homemade, good chips and tasty garlic bread. Very reasonably priced too. I can't say anything about the atmosphere because I was the only one inside, I hadn't realised they had a garden outside, that's where everybody else was. I found it after my meal and it looks great. I will definitely go there again and next time I'll be in the garden!

Went here for the Christmas themed cream tea which was good but not great. Place was very quiet. Staff were very friendly. The roast turkey, scone and hot chocolate were excellent but the rest of it was average. Some if the desserts appeared to be shop bought brownie and flapjack bites rather than the Florentine and Christmas pudding listed on the menu. Would come back but probably not for the cream tea - it looked a lot better than it was.

5 stars! Had a really nice breakfast here, the staff are really friendly and more than happy to help. Food was lovely and served in good time despite it being quite busy. The place has a nice atmosphere, it’s very clean and spacious, it doesn’t feel like you are sat on top of other diners. We had two breakfasts with two teas for under £15 so great value too. The menu has good vegan and veggie options so we will be back…

Wonderful find just opposite the memorial garden and aviary. The food was delicious served by very friendly staff. And the icing on the cake was eating in the garden area with the wisteria flowering and the sun shining. Will definitely return soon

What a fab place! We weren't disappointed with our afternoon tea. Displayed on a mini picnic bench, it was all delicious ! Worth every penny. Lovely setting out the back too un some beautiful gardens. Great staff, attentive, efficient & friendly. Thank you!

We stopped here for some lunch while on holiday in Yorkshire and we are so glad we did. I had the steak pie and my wife had a giant Yorkshire pudding with sausages. Both were delicious and we left very satisfied! Malcolm (front of house) was very welcoming and had a good sense of humour. We really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely return when visiting the area again!

This is an absolute gem of a venue, really accommodating and the food was delicious. Genuine home food feel, they couldn’t do enough for us. Knowledgable about all aspects of the menu and willing to suggest adjustments they could make to accommodate. Really friendly, personable and very kind. Can’t recommend enough.

Like stepping back in time in the nicest possible way. Malcolm made us feel extremely welcome and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. Beautifully clean everywhere and the food was delicious and all at a reasonable cost. I was visiting the area from West Sussex and Malcolm gave us such a cheery authentic Yorkshire service. Excellent piping hot food very good portions and cooked to perfection. Do you do brown toast ? No but it's brown when it's toasted 😂😂😂 if you're not going to eat just go listen to the humour. Keep up the great service we will be back.

Excellent place, so warm and welcoming with the friendliest of staff. Very busy and I can see why. Lovely atmosphere that made you feel like you were amongst family and friends. Really good coffee in a good chunky-sized mug. Dog friendly. I had a delicious, tasty flapjack. Homemade cakes, breakfasts and additional outdoor seating to the front on the pavement, but under arches so is sheltered. I am definitely visiting here again, because of the lovely staff! Very highly recommended.

The coffee was great, the caramel slice (now called Millionaires slice) with white chocolate on top was delicious. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean toilet facilities. We sat indoors but outdoors there are some table and chairs too. We recommend the Coffee Shed to anybody visiting Filey.

We've been here a few times and always had a friendly welcome,but last night wasn't the same,staff was different and the food although tasty was smaller in volume and more expensive,found £17 for 6 pieces of chicken and a lot of sauce rather expensive and the rice portions were smaller too. The staff in the past were always friendly and welcoming and portions excellent value, but sadly our experience last night wasn't as good

Didn't like the food at all the atmosphere wasn't very good we had the delivery driver spread out on the bench near us very off-putting. The rice was very dry the bang bang chicken wasn't very nice at all, we paid in cash because they prefer it that way,we should have walked out really so then we wouldn't have been disappointed

Spot-on curries. We had Paneer chilli masala, and a Shahi Bhuna. Both dishes were perfect. The house wine was very good too.

I really enjoyed my takeaway..Shami kebab.chicken jalfrezi with extra coriander.mushroom rice..all the food was fresh.the chicken esp..the jalfrezi sauce was vang on.v tasty..will re visit deffo. plus its on a " nice little street" 😊

I had a take out from here tonight. I ordered the vegetarian samosas and paneer tikka garlic chilli massala. WOW! It was by far THE best curry take out I’ve ever head. It was delicious, not greasy and very tasty. Will certainly be ordering again 😊😊😊

Our annual pilgrimage to this family restaurant and still as good as before. Lovely mixed starter, pickle, poppadoms. Followed by 1 x Prawn Sagg Achari 1 x Chicken/Lamb Murgh Massalam, Rice and Garlic Naan. All beautifully spiced and freshly prepared.

Lovely hotel and location. Room very clean and staff lovely. We like to sleep with the window open, but the room had a large vent outside our room which was very noisy, had to shut them, so very hot, and staff talking loudly under the window. Would expect better for the price paid for bed and breakfast £186. Wouldn’t have stayed in that room if we had known beforehand.

Lauren on reception was brilliant- so welcoming and great at making guests feel valued & appreciated. The room at first glance was wonderful, spacious and with a stunning sea view. The en-suite was clean and functional with everything you could need. Shower gel shampoo shower cap soap etc. The complimentary coffee tea tray was fully stacked with an assortment of teas biscuits and Nescafé sachets. There was quite a bit of dust on things like dado rails and skirting boards. But the towels and bedding were clean. The bed base had a lot of marks on it and was totally exposed so it made it look very dated & grubby. Evening meal was slow service and totally underwhelming. Prawn cocktail had absolutely no flavour even with the lemon wedge squeezed over it. The fillet steak was coated in the strongest seasoning- I had to scrape it off and cut away the outer part of the meat. The seasonal veg was carrots and cabbage I was disappointed with that too. I looked at the dessert menu and was going to order one but they took so long to come back to me I had gone off the idea. It really is such a shame because I’ve waited to stay at this hotel for so long and to receive the free room upgrade was so appreciated. I will stay again but I won’t use the restaurant fir my evening meal. Breakfast was ok- poached egg undercooked the white was still runny! Black pudding was too thick so was almost raw. Bacon and sausage were tasty and cooked well. The staff and location are the hotels best assets. The kitchen and restaurant need a shake up.

We had a lovely stay at The White Lodge Hotel! The room was spotless, comfortable, and had beautiful views of the bay. Staff were warm and welcoming from start to finish. The food was excellent we had dinner & breakfast in the hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the beach and town. 100% will be returning.

Please can the management spend a full day & night in room 4 to experience just how noisy this room is, due to being located above the kitchen. Our 3 nights away to ‘relax & recuperate’ did not go to plan. We struggled to sleep. There seems to be no regard from the kitchen staff with the noise they continually made up to 11pm & then again from 7am. Extremely loud slamming of doors & what can only be described as someone continually banging metal drums? Room 4 also has two staff cupboards nearby which were also very noisy with staff using them & doors slamming. Room 4 is a thoroughfare for all other bedrooms going past to access the stairs.? While this would be bad enough in a cheap hotel, we had paid £600 for 3 nights! The staff on reception & breakfast on weekdays were lovely. The younger ‘weekend’ staff did not appear well trained. We received the wrong drinks, left waiting for brown sauce on 2 x days (it never appeared along with another table having the same issue). We noticed at breakfast that the door into the kitchen slams shut continually, we were tempted to visit the local diy shop to buy some foam to attach to the doors, this is such a quick easy fix that would really help. The prices of this hotel do not reflect the quality expected. We have stayed in 4 star London hotels for cheaper. The best thing about this hotel is the location but we will not be coming back.

A place where you really can unwind and relax. The rooms were very clean and very modern in decor. Above all the staff were absolutely fantastic. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hiya im staying at langford villa a 5 minute walk from the white lodge. We had a meal there on Fri 29th August around 6pm there were 3 of us the food we had was superb and the service top notch. All the staff are kind, professional and nothing is too much trouble. 5 of us ate for Sunday lunch today perfect food, perfect view and perfect staff 10 out of 10. A big well done to bill and the team the white lodge goes from strength to strength I've been a visiter since 2014 and filey and the white lodge are my families happy place. Many thanks Jason tamas

Looked great from the outside and the Yorkshire curd tart was very nice unfortunately the lady that served me was very rude. The other younger lady was Lovley. I was a little taken aback as our experiences have been wonderful maybe the lady was having a bad day but possibly the worst customer service experience I’ve experienced in a while. Maybe get some additional training at Rubys cafe where the lady’s there were extremely nice and the home made scone excellent.

Got a ham salad and a beef salad roll along with a couple of sausage rolls and steak bake. The rolls were great. Plenty of filling, tasty. Can’t fault it.

Bought 3 homemade brown bread roll type . Fri 6th June. Totaly inedible so much salt and dry, tried half but threw it all in bin. Not fit to even give to dogs with so much salt. Looked great tasted awfull.

We have always loved this deli until our last visit, I ordered feta and sun blushed tomatoe sandwich and was really surprised to see them using basic tesco feta and fresh tomatoes, bread cake was really dry, it's such a shame as this shop was always a treat and we used to take a sandwich home with us after our day out

Had a coffee and coconut slice .Amazing choice of cakes and pies .All look delicious and the coffee was very good also .This will be my place to go every time I visit Filey.

Please use gloves or tongs when providing scones to customers. This happened once, i gave them the benefit of the doubt but a different sraff member has also done this now. Throwing them into an already ripped paper bag with your bare hands that you use to handle cash with is hardly hygienic.

What a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, service, fantastic and staff really friendly. Worth a visit of only for the homemade shortbread you get with your coffee. Melt in your mouth heaven. WELL worth a visit.

We booked for evening meal which was very nice. Service was excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. On our way out we saw a band taking their kit inside & after a little chat with them we went back in. What a night. The band was great.

Been coming to Filey for years and never been to this place before and i am so pleased we went in for the Sunday Carvery as it was delicous, the staff were very friendly and the inside decor is fantastic, i will definitely return again

Quite an unappealing entrance (looks like an old cinema, all painted black, and just a staircase upwards), but once inside it's alright! The main bar looks like it can get quite lively and there was a singer/guitarist playing, but the restaurant part is a quieter, nicely decorated room out the back. Good choices for vegetarians, although they accidentally served me the chicken fajitas sizzler rather than the Quorn version (all quickly sorted with good humour) and good fish and chips for my partner.

The worst dining experience I've ever had. Went with a group, most of us 18 and 2 of under 18. The service was a disgrace - she told us we needed to be out by 8pm. Was incredibly nasty to the person who booked. Told the 2 under 18s to raise their hands, and generally acted like she was doing us a favour by letting us in. Acted like none of us were allowed near the bar, despite around 10 of us being legal adults. Mediocre food at best. Would not recommend this place. £10-20 when not allowed alcohol is ridiculous.

Great steaks and service… best value for money steaks we’ve had in a long time… sauces worth the extra… massive onion rings… don’t be put off by the entrance and information overload… it’s very much worth climbing the stairs! Quirky pirate decor but are we loving it…. We arrrrhhhh!

I would say more for locals then tourists. Food was amazing was told need to book tables as they get full quick and wont get a table as don't serve food till after 5. Booked and found plenty of space was available. Did book for carvery not send friendly after having a quiet word with staff about child with asd about going up to get more vegetables as these can't touch on plate this had to be asked then the staff approached the table and asked what child infrount of everyone this put child in an uncomfortable position. Then a green beam was dropped in veg by a young child before I could get there and sort it staff in a rude way said for God sake. Not that this is an allergy problem as I work in food. Won't visit again

Great food. Great service. The recommendation of 2 to 3 dishes per person was spot on. We ordered bread as well and took a bit of food home with us. Swordfish with veg and pesto was perfect. Paella was amazing. Chorizo in cider! A great place for our wedding anniversary. Thanks

Not been to this restaurant but felt it would be a hidden gem. Came to Filey last summer, planning to go but didn't get round to it as my daughter is a fussy eater and we didn't want to leave her out. Was just about to book for tomorrow evening, only to find that the owner, Ian, has sadly passed away. The reviews are fantastic and I particularly like the no nonsense reply to one review which was posted a year after a visit to the restaurant. Gutted I'm not going to experience Amparian. Condolences to Amparo and family and gutted I won't get to sample her's and Ian's authentic Spanish food.

A fantastic tapas restaurant. If you're in Filey you've got to give this place a go. Lovely friendly hosts serving authentic Spanish tapas with a great selection of Spanish wines. The best tapas I've had including visits to Spain.

Myself and my wife went to the Amparium for the first time a few months ago and I've got to say it was up there with one of the best meals I've ever had (and I've had a few!) We are going to Filey again next week and obviously wanted to go back. I was so disappointed to hear that it was closed temporarily due to illness. I sincerely hope that you make a speedy recovery for not just my own selfish reasons but also for yourself and your family. Your food is out of this world!

Nice selection of good food. Priced as you'd expect from a tapas place. Some interesting items to pick from. Only annoyance is they don't take card payments.

We went there last year 14th Feb and it was a set menu. The whole menu was fish and no other choices. It maybe a nice place normally but for me I would have like to have made my own choices and unfortunately I'm not into fish, sorry.

My partner and I attended the restaurant this weekend for a meal way before they stated they would stop serving at 8pm. The owner stated they were busy despite having 5 empty tables. They advised us to return in 20 minutes. We returned some time after to be told “I told you to come back within 20 minutes”. The same tables were still empty! Firstly, the owner had an issue with us being a mixed race couple, secondly on my return with my partner her tone towards me was disrespectful and she spoke to me as if I was a child. I will not on my return ever be stepping foot into this restaurant ever because of their manner and attitude. Secondly, the tapas bar we have in Chapel Allerton called El Barrito beats this place hands down every time!!!!

My friends and I visited here for a meal recently. The food is absolutely superb. We all had a different pie and everyone said how delicious theirs was. Each pie was generously filled and the pastry was light and tasty. I noticed that you can order pie to collect, too. The staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was relaxing and calm. I will definitely visit here again.

Very friendly staff made us and our 4 doggies feel very welcome The menu was extensive and all pies served with mushy peas, garden peas or seasonal veg, then a choice of chips or mash. The portion sizes were just right but make sure you’re hungry as they are very filling. The pies came with chunks of meat, so plenty of filling, not just a mush with gravy. Prices were just over £20 per meal which looking at what you got for the money I felt was good value. Would we go again? Yes, definitely, just a shame it’s so far from where we live. It is also worth a mention that there seemed to be hook up for camper vans. I can’t comment on the rooms as we only popped in for a meal

Moroccan barb pie tonight which was epic. lamb succulent and very easy to eat. Beautiful flavouful sauce chips remind me of my mums and the veg was well cooked with still a little bite but tasting of the veg they were. I already have my next 2 pies picked. Pies are superbly made..

Booked for a friday teatime, 2 adults and a small doggy. The service is excellent the choice of PIES 52 available some get knocked off as the evening goes on was outstanding. We had Irish Draught for my wife I had Cleveland Bay 3 cuts of beef and our doggy had the steak and kidney from the doggy menu !! all of which was very tasty and generous portions. All served with chips peas garden or mushy and a good serving or gorgeous gravy. We noticed in the car park spaces for Motor homes to stop overnight and some with electric excellent idea.

Firstly... A warm welcome from Joe. Room spotless and a comfy bed, air con if needed. All staff amazing, certainty excellent service. Good location and a short walk to The Spirit of Filey distillery! Pies.. Now that's another thing, massive choice for all, including vegan, veggie and Pooch pies! Gigantic portions. Dog friendly too.

We were recommended this place, and told the pies were epic - all FIFTY TWO of them. A wet wednesday night, and we struggled to get a table!! From the minute we arrived, everyone was so friendly, accommodating and pleasant. We were seated in the restaurant, as the main pub area was packed. We're were served quickly, and WOW! Was it worth waiting for! These were one of, if not THE, best pies we've ever had. PROPER pies, with PROPER pastry and lashings of good gravy. We can't fault anything about this place, well worth travelling to. ★★★★★

I booked a a table for 2 after receiving recommendations from friends. We weren’t disappointed! Great selection of pies to pick from. We were both in agreement that we have never tasted a better pie anywhere. The portions are huge so there was no room for a dessert unfortunately. We will definitely be going back!

Nice spot near the seafront. Staff friendly but took ages to get served (about 5/6 people walked past as we waited at the bar despite no other customers being there). Food was okay, cheese not melted on nachos and ham/cheese sandwich was a bit dry/bland.

Beautiful beer garden and amazing customer services. Prices need reviewing. For their most expensive lunch item (Ploughman’s) me and my brother were very disappointed. Although nothing wrong with the lunch in taste; it was terrible value for money. Should cost no more than £10 for a few slices of ham, bread roll and HALF a pork pie.

Went for lunch in the October school holidays as it has a good beer garden and we have a dog. It was busy at the bar for ordering food but we weren’t informed just how long the wait would be. We were sat outside for over an hour waiting for our food, by which time we were very cold and the dog was shivering! The plate of fish and chips was plentiful and the chips were nice, but the fish was very pasty between the fish and the batter. There are better places for fish and chips in Bridlington. The children’s play area is good. To sum up; great play area, plenty of seating outside if you have a dog (the undercover area had smokers in it so a no go for us) and I guess it’s ok if you’re happy to wait for food. The staff are pleasant enough, they just need more kitchen staff. UPDATE We have since been back and are very pleased to say that our experience was spot on. The wait times (a very reasonable 15 mins) were clearly displayed on the bar and the food was excellent. Luckily the weather was nice enough to sit out, but we appreciate the owners letting us know we can sit in with the dog if we choose. We had the crab salad and gluten free burger and chips.

Booked a table for myself and my nephew in the dog friendly dining area for Sunday carvery at 4:00 p.m. We both had a large plate £17 a person. The meat was superb it was good quality and cooked well. I had roast beef, roast lamb and roast pork with crackling. Good choice of vegetables including broccoli (overcooked) carrots, cabbage, roast parsnips, roast potatoes (very good), gravy. I enjoyed the food it was lovely and so did my nephew however the service let them down considerably. On two separate occasions they were a group of waitresses stood in the bar area chatting and I tried to get their attention as I needed some help and on both occasions they were completely oblivious and I was ignored. The same goes for the staff behind the bar who have no sense of urgency, and could do with some customer service training. They seem to be a lot of staff milling around but not doing very much. Great outdoor area. It was located right next to the beach and had been here the week previous just for a drink and that's what made me come back to try the food as a location super and it's so dog-friendly. Service needs improvement that food is very good and I would definitely recommend and return. One thing I would recommend to the owner is to add some signage to the exterior as to where to go when you arrive for the dog friendly dining area because had I been on my own I would have ended up walking into the restaurant where people are eating and dogs might have not been allowed. It was very confusing how to get into the pub to where we needed to be and I couldn't get hold of anybody to ask without going inside first. I also noticed (outside with my dog) other people experienced the same problem as they must have been like me (tourist) and not local.

A great place to eat! Some lovely views too. Had cheese & ham sandwich with pickles & coleslaw & side of chips. Some of the best chips I've had for ages, proper old fashioned traditional chips. Delicious.

Paid a visit as a couple for an evening meal after reading reviews here and Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We were great with polite and welcoming staff. Very quick service on our drinks order and our food followed shortly after. The food was lovely, I had the chilli (had a good kick) and my wife had the chicken tikka (nice and mild with lots of chicken) We are already looking forward to our next return in the future

The Royal Oak Pub We had a lovely meal at the Royal Oak that really hit the spot. The Angus burger was cooked perfectly — juicy, flavourful, and satisfying. The homemade chips were a standout: crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and clearly made with care. Even the coleslaw was fresh and tasty, adding a nice crunch to the plate. Portion sizes were generous without being over the top, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity. It’s the kind of place where you feel you’ve got real value for money. Friendly atmosphere, good food, and no fuss — just a solid, enjoyable pub meal. Would happily return next time we’re in Filey.

Been so many times for a meal over the past two summers and never disappoints! Great food and decent prices. From the crispy chicken strips starter (we shared), surf and turf main and jam roll poly sweet..with creamy ice cream!! Staff very attentive, hard working and friendly.

We visited twice for food ad soft play during a recent family holiday, and this place was great - the food quality was amazing, and it was really good value. The staff were all super helpful and the kids loved the indoor soft play. Would totally recommend!

Highly recommended, nice atmosphere, very clean well kept pub. Staff extremely friendly! Food was lovely and generous portion sizes, all homemade. Great kids area outside and the kids menu had lots of choice even for the pickiest of eaters. Bonus is having a takeaway option for the homemade cheesecake!

Holidaying locally. They are dog friendly, clean, spacious and welcoming. Food was tasty, cooked well, great quality with decent sized portions and reasonably priced. Ample parking and a lovely outdoor play area for kids (probably up age 7/8). Would definitely return.

Friendly and welcoming staff. The food was fantastic, and you will certainly not leave hungry. They were great with catering for multiple dietary requirements (Gluten free, dairy free, and soy free) and were happy to offer substitutes for the parts of meals that were not suitable for me. Just outside Filey town centre, ideally situated for a few pints and a meal after exploring the town amd/or beach.

We recently had a one night, midweek stopover in our motorhome at The Bull Inn. The pub is in a lovely quiet village, free to stopover, dog friendly throughout, and 2 miles from Filey and 7 miles from Scarborough. It has a large beer garden with picnic benches. Staff and locals were very friendly. We didn't ring in advance, but, having previously seen good reviews on here, we just popped in and asked if they could accommodate us. Luckily the manager said no problem, as long as you have a drink. No problem for us as we always eat and drink when stopping over. The car park is massive, and midweek, we had the pick on where to park. Though sloping, we found a fairly level spot, and parked without ramps. We had a lovely rural outlook, and very quiet through the night. The pub serves a large menu, which is excellent value. I had the steak pie and chips, served with 3 veg and gravy - the pie was packed with delicious steak chunks. My wife had the rack of ribs, which she really enjoyed. Both great meals for just £11.95 each. Booking a table to eat is advisable, as it was almost full by 6.00pm. And the basics - no EHU, and no fluid disposal facilities.

Food was lovely, but due to time i visited with my daughter few of the menu items were sold out. My daughter is very fussy and has autism traits and the staff/chef were extremely accommodating with her food issues - which was greatly appreciated. I had the lasagne so there was a long wait to be served but it was lovely. Would recommend. Good prices.

Lovely country pub. Food was excellent , large portions and extremely good value. Photo shows steak meal. Staff very friendly and efficient even while busy. James the landlord clearly wants to provide the best he can for his customers. Happy to have Motorhome parking overnight if you eat in the pub. Would absolutely visit again if I was in the area

What a hidden gem!! Food was gorgeous, lots of it, nice and hot, maybe a touch too much barbecue sauce on the Hunters chicken! Partners steak was cooked perfectly! Booking recommended as it is very popular with people going on consecutive nights! We didn't book but they snuck us in!! Definitely recommended!!

The Bull Inn Filey This is a beautiful pub with the most delicious home cooked food. We both had the steak pie, Veg & Chips. Apple crumble and custard to follow. The ingredients were perfect. The chunks of meat in our pie was fabulous. Just wish we lived closer to be able to call this pub our local. Staff and atmosphere very friendly. Would highly recommend this place. Prices great too. Found this lovely little pub, whilst looking online for a place to eat out. Would advise you to ring and book a table. It gets busy and they were having to turn people away. The food is delicious, home cooked and the portions are huge. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. If we visit Scarborough/Filey area again we would definitely return! Prices are very reasonable considering the portion size.

This restaurant is an absolute gem, with authentic Calabrian food on offer in a fantastic atmosphere, with warm, friendly, and excellent service. The food is competitively priced with other restaurants in the area, but the portions are generous, with a wonderful menu that will have you struggling to make a choice quickly, and quality is unrivalled! Expect to pay around £30 per head with drinks, which was, in my opinion, excellent value. I wouldn’t only recommend this restaurant, but advise anyone in, or visiting Filey to enjoy a dining experience here! Fantastic!!

We went to celebrate father’s day. Food was very tasty, there is good amount of choices- could be better if more chicken options added in the menu. Staffs are friendly and helpful. You can call for to reserve tables. When we reached the restaurant we’re told that they were fully booked and asked to come back after 30 minutes. When we went back after 40 minutes we got a table. Funny enough we didn’t see that all tables were occupied till the time we were seated, not sure what’s the meaning of “fully booked”. Paid Parking available at the shopping mall.

For my birthday I visited to have a solo date, and loved the everything. The food simple and delicious, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Visiting definitely made my birthday more special and worth remembering. It was a great experience. ❤

My wife and I called in on the off chance they could fit us in, fortunately they could. We were given menus and asked if we had any dietary needs. We were asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered our drinks and then ordered food. The food arrived after a short wait and it was all delicious. The service was gery good and attentive. From what we ordered the bill was good. In future when we go back to Filey we would book a table, because unfortunately a few people came in after us and the could not be fitted in.

Unbelievable little find. Stopped off at Filey, had a little walk around and popped into this authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommended the meatballs, the tomatoes based sause is to die for. Staff ate wonderful, to top it all a quartet came in playing music!!!! Great night. I recommend the merit.

This place is an absolute shambles. I’m not one for complaining but this place was awful. Ordered a pizza and chips and got a Chicago town pizza that was microwaved. The chips were brown, way too overcooked and just disgusting. Ordered a side of bread and butter for £1.80 and got one slice of bread!! Spoke to a member of staff and she couldn’t have been nicer but spoke to the owner outside in his Mercedes and he just laughed. No apology or nothing just laughed. Absolutely disgusting way to be with customers. The one star doesn’t reflect on the service and the woman who served us couldn’t have been any nicer but the owner of the shop has just totally taken away from that. Avoid it at all costs.

Wow...best chips I've had at a fish and chips shop. Nice and brown, well cooked, delicious, the odd crispy ones which are my favourite!! The fish was delicious too. Small fish and chips was still a decent size. I couldn't quite finish it. One of the reviews above complained about a microwave Chicago town pizza, my kid was buzzing he could get pizza at a fish and chip shop and the lovely ladies did say it was a Chicago town pizza. The service was good, quick and the price reasonable. Thanks, would definitely visit again.

The best fish and chips I’ve had, especially the curry sauce. Fish is a large portion. Hot and fresh onion ring. Compare to other tourist places, this restaurants is a very lovely place.

Ate here as part of my "Yorkshire fish and chips tour ". Unassuming from the outside, it's a gem of hospitality inside. Small, clean toilet and clean table and utensils. A fair amount of people were eating at the same time (before 4pm) but it never felt overcrowded and I was able to converse with my other half at normal vocal level. Service was attentive and there was no imperative to rush. Food was delicious. Usual sides were good and curry sauce was pungent and plentiful, as it should be. Next time I'm up in Filey, I'll make a point to visit again.

We had a bit of a wait as there was a queue, but had seen this chip shop being recommended a few times - opted for takeaway. It was really tasty food. We had a minor complaint from my son who said there wasn't enough chips...!!

Stopped by here first on a recent family holiday and was really impressed. Went in to eat and was seated straight away. Food was really nice and the server was very friendly and helpful. Only chip shop we tried so couldn’t compare it to others in the area but you won’t be disappointed here.

Called in here today for dinner. We had fish and chips expecting it to be excellent as we had been before. Oh dear. No longer appears to be cooked in beef dripping. The fish was nice inside unfortunately the batter was a bit greasy as were the chips. We left feeling disappointed as it was so nice last time.

We had the small haddock & chips with mushy peas. All piping hot and nicely cooked. Arrived quickly via the polite and attentive server. £11.30 per head was good value for the quality of food.

Really sad to be editing my review to a one star.. My dad is a born and bred Yorkshire man so we have been coming up to Filey and Scarborough since I was a young kid. A few months ago we tried the Brown Room as a family and had a wonderful experience when my Dad was there with us to order the food - not sure if this was a coincidence now? I’ve brought my partner up with me on holiday and was excited to show him this wonderful food place that I’d raved about. Unfortunately, we had a starkly different experience when we went last night for a takeaway. Due to the number of other people in there at the time, I can only think our accents or another seemingly personal reason was why we were treated so poorly. We’re both sticklers for manners and to say we felt spoken down to is an understatement. There was a very clear difference to how we were treated compared to the other people in there, how we were spoken to, time for our order to be taken, response to us speaking to her… Truly, it was odd. Neither me or my partner are the type of people to make a scene over that however we both immediately turned to each other upon leaving and said the same. Filthy looks, snide comments and a poor attitude don’t exactly leave a pleasant taste in our mouths… My advice, approach the lady with blonde and brown hair with caution 👍 Food was nice as I had said in my now-deleted review… however a poor attitude soured the entire experience for us. I felt embarrassed having hyped it up immensely to my partner. No other member of staff was rude to us, only her, but it’s surprising how much one person can ruin for you.

Been coming here for many years always enjoyed the fish and chips, but the last twice have been very disappointing the fish was over cooked and very dry. Not the same man frying anymore. Won't go again.

Came here last year so was really looking forward to lunch. I left feeling quite disappointed, the staff were nice but that's where it kind of ended for me. I don't think that beef dripping is used anymore and the price was high for 3 people which came to £44, yes i get that prices have risen but oof!!

We have dined in here and had takeout when we have stayed in Filey. Unfortunately, the service received today was non existent from the member of staff who took the order in fact downright rude! Filey is a very quiet place when the tourists don’t come. Would be even quieter for some businesses if the staff don’t remember customer service!

We always come here whenever we visit Filey which is pretty regularly. The food and the service is always excellent. We can particularly recommend the curry sauce. Thanks

What a charming wonderful olde world style pub,the oak beams are a big feature with lots of fine furnishings placed strategically placed around,the atmosphere is very nice with good background music,the food is outstanding and cooked from fresh straight to your plate. I opted for the large cod and homemade thick cut chips just like my mother used to make I must add the cod was large and to be honest so far it's been the best experience of fish and chips that I have had on the east coast , a wonderful dining experience and the honey pot catered for us even at short notice after a walk in,I would certainly recommend this establishment as a must visit whilst on your stay on the coast and you won't be disappointed the menu's have lots to choose from,many thanks Mr Steven Wilson

Absolutely beautiful. It's the second time we have been. The korma is the best I have ever tasted! The chips are beautiful. Everything is fresh and it was served really quick even though it got busy. The waitress/bar person really was an asset to the pub. It was very busy and she managed all on her own. Lovely manners and easy to talk to. I really recommend this place. We certaintly will be back next year.

Don't judge a book by its cover!! Parked up and was worried as it looked derelict, having a meal on mother's day you would expect a super busy pub, but it was super quiet when we arrived, it did get busy as the afternoon went on. This was a large family group meal out. We walked into the pub where the wood burner was blowing out some lovely heat , the decor inside was lovely and nice to see. Everyone was super friendly. The food was delicious I had a beef roast dinner with a beautiful thick gravy. My husband had lasagna which he said was very nice. My son had a pepperoni pizza and my daughter had gammon which they both enjoyed very much!! This is definitely worth a visit and we will be back.

This pub is attached to the caravan site. There's nothing else nearby, so unless you're prepared to travel....... It's not ac'wet' pub, preferring to open 4pm until 8pm (later, if busy). To be honest, we found the beer didn't taste 'clean', it had quite a twang to it. I suppose that's to be expected, with it not selling a lot, but at today's prices, I want a good, well kept pint! Because of this, we didn't have food here.

From the outside it actually looked closed but once you are inside the decor just feels to envelop you, it's reminiscent of an old gallion inside with huge dark wooden beams and a beautiful wooden bar and surround, probably original wood floor. Food - Spot on the portion size it right (not huge), the menu is surprisingly varied but top quality and reasonably priced. The only thing that lets it down is the outside. It simply needs a little love, like the grass cutting, better signage, a lick of paint and a tidy up to replace the old outdoor benches. But that is an easy thing to overlook and it is a great place to eat out.

Extensive GF menu which was not just dishes from main menu that have items switched but has several dishes which were exclusive the GF menu itself which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was very friendly, as we're the staff and management. Fantastic, quality meals with very substantial portion sizes meant all of us left full and satisfied (if a little heavier than when we arrived) Exceptional value fkr money. Definitely be revisiting. Popular from around 1pm so advise booking or arriving early.

Proper good wholesome food we were amazing party of 7 so accommodated us easily. The food was delicious credit to the Chef was given all round. The staff were so welcoming and offered some good advised about things to do around the area. Great atmosphere highly recommended makesure to book a table as can get busy.

Walked in and four of us seated. Minimal starters on the menu but the main courses absolutely fantastic. Ribeye Steak so tender and large portion size, if you order Ribs expect the rack and tasted excellent. Dinner portions not for people with a weak appetite. All the meals placed on the table were served hot and in a timely fashion. Gary in the restaurant worked hard and so friendly and polite. This would be my local if I lived in the area. I will be back.

We called early October,plenty of cask ale choice big seating area outside back,we went during storm Amy,we were wet and cold,and sat in the back room,which had no heating recommend you wrap up if visiting if the weather is cold.

Very good value for money on the specials nice atmosphere went here 2 days.on trot will eat here again if we come back to Filey

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was a small roof terrace which was lovely to enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Breakfast was delicious as was the two evening meals we had in the restaurant. Lynn, the owner, was a lovely lady who certainly went the extra mile. Highly recommend.

Came with my family when on holiday. We didn't complain at the time because the staff were kind however we came out very disappointed.The risottos were soggy, the meat was off questionable quality, it smelt like it had been left out a week according to my fiance, and three of our cohort were ill that night. That being said, I personally wasn't ill and thought the tomato garlic pizza was scrumptious. The pizza base was wonderful. Also when olives were left off a pizza the chef apologised and gave us a large bowl of olives which made my father very happy. I wouldn't visit again for a while but I've heard the restaurant's only just been taken over and hope that the food quality and price will even out eventually.

Staying at the Bay, this restaurant is only 2 minutes by car. Due to covid its only delivery or collection only but the food is freshly cooked and delicious. Top tip - regardless if its collection or delivery YOU HAVE TO CALL BETWEEN 14:00 - 16:00 on the day to get your food after 17:00. Will be back again.

We stayed at Valentino's for the weekend recently. Owners Lynne and dave so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Rooms absolutely spotless can't fault them in any way. We are staying opposite at the bay Filey, looked at the reviews and decided to go there this evening for a meal as seemed good reviews. I filled out the online form yesterday it said this wasn't confirmation of the booking, had to wait for a phone call. Never heard anything so I rang them a few times throughout the day and there was no answer not even an answerphone. We turned up 10 minutes before the time I booked for at 6.30pm there were a couple of ladies who had tried the front door who wanted a place to stay, there was no answer, and no lights were on in the restaurant. They really need to sort out their booking system and reply to customers. Don't know how they've had such good reviews if they don't answer the phone. If they're not open because they've closed etc they need to remove their listing or have an answerphone.

Food terrible had the £35 meal for 2 we got garlic mushrooms and garlic bread starters both cold my partner had lasagna which was not just cold but tastless and dry. I had calzone pizza which was about eatable but next to no filling in it the 3rd course was tirimasu which looked like it had just been regurgitated. My partner phoned and wanted the food exchanging but the woman at valentinos said basically its tough and they would not exchange this then she hung up on my partner total ignorance. Please don't use this place its the worst food we have had ever

This Chinese was OK, we went in and ordered - our first issue was that they only took cash, which meant a visit to a cashpoint! We waited whilst it was cooked, and was given free prawn crackers with the meal. The food was OK, I wasn't a big fan of the chilli chicken, and kids were not overly impressed with the chips, but the rest of what we got was good.

I'd like to say the Chou Mein at here is the best I've ever had in UK. We visited this lovely store last week, and everything we ordered is perfect, not only the Chou Mein, but also the KongPo chicken and duck. All of the staffes are friendly, I definitely will visit here again.

Service was absolutely fine, friendly and polite, however, it was the worst tasting Chinese we have ever had. The egg fried rice tasted very weird, the chips were absolutely awful, the sweet and sour sauce had a metal taste to it, the salt and chilli chicken tasted like they had southern fried popcorn chicken in salt. Very cheap tasting meal, would not return if we holiday here again.

Not kidding when I say worst Chinese I've ever had, ordered and waited for pick up, but after 5 minutes to get back food was luke warm. Chicken chow mein had no colour to it, which is weird as its cooked with oyster and dark soy sauce, and the taste was bland. Special king po dish, virtually no meat in it, prawn crackers taste of old oil. Spare ribs virtually no meat with watery sauce, on the plus side it seemed slightly cheaper than my regular chinese

Tonight was our first order.there was a slight mistake and I rang to speak to them.customer service was great.The gentleman on the phone was polite and apologetic.He soon resolved the issue and I was sent out my missing order. Fantastic customer service and much appreciated after an extremely long day at work ourselves. Keep up the great work. 5*****

Recommended by family who had visited here last week. Looks dated from the exterior but very efficient and friendly staff. Food was excellent and quick to appear and very reasonably priced. Decoration for an American diner was on point. As a small business goes, this one is nearly up with the big boys of fast food. Will definitely return everytime we are back this way. Only points of advice would be better signage, renovation of car park and possibly better advertising for this gem of the catering world.

Probably one of the best American joints I've ever eaten at. Would travel 2 hours from Barnsley just to eat here again! Friendly staff, good with kids and the atmosphere is great. Really love design of the place

We visited twice during our stay in Scarborough, the food was brilliant, the service was fantastic. Our waiter Ed was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. He really made the experience enjoyable for all of us. They are also dog friendly which is a bonus.

Visited 3 times during a recent stay nearby. Impressed with the portions. Excellent value for money. Compared to a McDonalds this is way better. Staff were all friendly and helpful on each occasion. The only slight let down was not Coca Cola in bottles. Will definitely visit again when we are back at our coastal retreat :)

It was a lovely place but the food was just average, the milkshakes need some work though, cream was flooding over the sides & ended up all over the table & our hands, very messy. The big let down for me was the toilets, they were out the back & you could smell them before you saw them, a portacabin toilet block with rickety steps, absolutely unsuitable for the disabled & to be honest not very nice for anyone. The deco inside was very good, however we will not be returning.

First time visiting this American diner today. And wow was it good. The portions are definitely worth the price. The food was amazing. An old car show turned into an American diner. Also must like to add they are dog friendly which is a bonus I will definitely return to enjoy the food again

Really good food! The staff were lovely and friendly and we really liked the style and decoration of the place, like a proper American diner! Milkshakes were amazing! We all ordered burgers which were good however they all came lathered in mayo, which is great if you all like mayo (one of us didn't and it didn't specify it was going to be in there on the menu😅) but the rest of us enjoyed and they did all come with a mountain of fries!

Well what a great place! Such a wonderful welcome given from the start. Lovely intimate interior so I would suggest booking a table 😀. The menu was boosted by some fab specials available on the night. So the food was served hot 🔥 was delicious and plentiful. Good selection of beers on tap and wines and spirits a plenty! Order a donner kebab which was how it should be, also ordered some chicken that was cooked fresh on the griddle, it was supposed to have some seasoning on but on getting home it was just plain cooked chicken stripe which was a real letdown especially has the chicken was very dry too. This was our first time so hopefully next time it will be better.

Service and atmosphere of getting the food was great but when we ordered our food like the kebab, the pepperoni pizza, cheesy chips and fried chicken. The chips and chicken were good, really enjoyable but the kebab and pizza were really burnt and the kebab caused a family friend to badly throw up after an hour or so of having the food. I do not recommend if the food is going to be badly burned and causing food poisoning.

We decided to go in to order tonight as the reviews for deliveries are so bad. We ordered at 19:20 and took 50 minutes to be given pizzas that had been stood on the back for 30 minutes. Food soggy and warm, its easily the worst pizza I've ever had. Staff do not communicate, only to stand and shout at one another. If I could give it zero stars I would.

We were staying at Primrose Valley, got a leaflet hand delivered, so thought we’d give it a try, I wish we hadn’t. We ordered 2 kebabs and a large portion of cheesy chips. Firstly, the chips were a really poor portion size, and barely had any cheese (the picture does them more justice than they deserve) The doner kebab tasted like cardboard, and the pitta was hard and tasteless. Really disappointed that we waisted £18 here. Wouldn’t recommend at all!! We have binned the takeaway flyer so the next holiday makers after us can avoid wasting their money.

We stayed at Havens Primrose Valley for the weekend. Used this the night before we left. 19/03/17- Oak Medows. So glad we did try this place over their expensive Papa Johns on site! More choice of food, hot, fresh and very tasty! Customer service was excellent 5*! We tried their kebab, pizza, chicken and chips... Just lovely! Everything was perfectly wrapped/bagged and delivered in 45 mins as promised. And their FREE garlic Pizza...yum yum! THANK YOU it was beautiful food! We will definitely use you when we come back!

Absolute nightmare of a place. Rang up and placed order for collection. Turned up half hour later and they hadn't even started so had to give order again. Came back fifteen mins later they still hadn't started!!! Gave the order for the third time and they still got it wrong!! Pizza was 10 inch but paid for 12 inch and the pizza was wrong!! How hard can it be to write an order down and make it? Can't speak English either. Might aswel throw towel in lads.

I got takeout fish and chips and mushy peas. The quality of the food needs some work.The batter was fine, but the fish instead of being tender and flaky, was dense and tough. The mushy peas were quite disappointing—they lacked flavor and were far too watery. That was my first and last visit in this place.

So as per my last review stating that this is the best chip shop on yorkshire coast, 11 months later i fully retract this claim. The shop changed hands in july last year, i was unaware. The chip shop curry sauce is now not that nice. Not original chip shop curry sauce anymore. Its now chinese curry sauce. What a let down. The fish is nice but the batter is not! its not cooked for long enough (undercooked). After speaking to the lovely lady behind the counter she stated that the food “is now 10x better than it was before”. She couldnt have told me a bigger lie! In conclusion to my visit today, i am very disappointed with what i have come across. I now have to find the new best chip shop on the yorkshire coast. Perhaps one that does proper original curry sauce with raisins in and properly cooked batter. FUMING!!!

Had a good BIG. order of Chinese last night big box was collected it was really nice- didn't feel heavy too full after eating it. The Guy in the place was really friendly - Prawns crackers x 2 and we even got a calendar! There was a large group of us and we all enjoyed it. Thank you

So i always buy Singapore noodles feom any chinese I try, I must say china china from hunmanby cut on prawns.. I know guys prawns are expensive, but you put usually only 2 little shrimps to my dish, sometimws when Im lucky there are 3 shrimps. You guys put a lot of chicken and beef, but singapore noodles are not only that. Hopefully it will change asap!! Wouldve given 5 stars.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.The food was excellent and authentic to Italy which we visit frequently. We even met the chef to thank him.He is not Italian but would give them 'a run for their money 'They also offered a good choice of vegetarian dishes which was refreshing for my wife. The prices were very reasonable and the wine list was also reasonably priced, which is not always the case.I would definitely recommend giving it a try. We will definitely be going again when we next visit Filey

Excellent food, loved the pizza, proper Italian pizza, loved the Pistachio cake, it was melting in my mouth. The Pinot Grigio was also very nice

Had such a beautiful meal for our anniversary my husband has a huge calzone Kiev which he said was delicious and I had pollo parmigiana which came with a choice of sides the sauce was gorgeous We were serenaded by some guys who came in which was lovely . It was busy as it was a Saturday night but we didn't have a long wait . the staff were friendly and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere will definitely come again just a heads up if you're wanting a Saturday night I would definitely book as some people had to be turned away as they were full

Ordered it for Takeaway while on holiday, absolutely delicious. Pizza is very authentic, way better than a dominos, Pizza Hut etc. ingredient's on the pizza are great. Tiramisu was fantastic! Delivery was fast and even got a lucky dip of 2 free cans of pop! 100% recommend

We had a wonderful meal whilst on our family holiday in Filey. We tried to book on Saturday night but they were fully booked, so they happily accommodated our party on Sunday. We were a party of 8, with big appetites - there were empty plates all round. We had a selection of pastas and pizzas, and everything was freshly made and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient considering it was another busy night - definitely becoming the place to go. We would thoroughly recommend this family restaurant whenever you are in Filey!

Got from filey Stone Bake pizza was a total showstopper! From the moment I opened the box, the aroma was irresistible — a perfect blend of spicy pepperoni, sweet pineapple, roasted veggies, and gooey cheese. The crust was just the right thickness: crispy on the edges, yet soft and chewy inside. Each bite had a burst of flavor — the sweetness of the pineapple paired surprisingly well with the saltiness of the pepperoni, while the green peppers and onions added a fresh, slightly crunchy texture. What made this pizza truly stand out was the balance. No ingredient overpowered the other — everything was in harmony. It was hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Definitely wouldn't order again £10s worth of donner kebab looks like a small!! Rang and asked where the rest of the meat was and got told if your order with us again we will make sure we add extra, paid cash as well! Definitely wouldn't order from them again!!

Ordered from this place as we're not local and this was closest. Upon opening my doner kebab I noticed a nice long something I did not ask for when placing the order. Nothing tastes better than a long hair in your food!

Ordered through foodhub, 2 kebabs and a pizza deal for 2, came to £53.50! Kebabs were nice otherwise it would have been a one star review, pizzas were dry, over overcooked, bland and missing extra toppings we ordered and paid £1.50 per topping for! Not good at all is it when it was clear on the order that they would have received from food hub. But even so the pizzas were not good anyway and i think they should not have sent them as they were overcooked. We got a £5 voucher from food hub after complaining, not good enough really when we had spent £53.50, but better than nothing i suppose. I definitely do not recommend the pizza.

Ordered online and put in the notes to have the garlic sauce for the 2 kebabs I ordered to be seperate in tubs but instead it come smothered in garlic. I phoned to be told the manager will ring me back and still waiting for the call! The margherita pizza also just tasted of garlic. Worst £46 spent crap service

Lovely good quality food delivered to the caravan door at Primrose Valley, in awful weather but still with a smile and great customer service. Excellent value too.

2 10" pizzas 1 10" garlic bread 2 fries Veggie burger with chips Kids nuggets meal with drink 2 cans of pop All for £53.70 with delivery, a little late but nevermind. The Veggie burger was a bit greasy but otherwise all good.

The best cooked steaks this side of Texas! I don't know what sorcery goes on behind the kitchen curtain, but we had the carnivore sharing platter and I've never understood the term the food is to die for more than tonight. This is our second visit and it has excelled our expectations of waiting a year to eat here again, 12/10 would recommend, if your visiting Filey and not making a booking at Benny's then you are 100% missing out.

We walked in and service was excellent food was on point too. Highly recommend the £50 2 burger and kebab deal with onion rings and other goodies on the tray.

Came for dinner last night and we were not disappointed! The owner was really friendly, the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We got one of the sharing boards and it was just the right amount for two of us. Everything on there was so tasty. The mojitos are amazing too. Thank you for a lovely dinner we will definitely be back 😊

Nice place that is very dog friendly. I had a fantastic fillet stake that was cooked perfectly 👌. The only thing I will say is the stake came with the sauce poured over where I would normally expect it separate, the onion rings were also a little poor but don't let that detract from the fantastic stake! My wife had an equally good cheese burger. The chocolate fudge cake desert was also fantastic. Really good place that is certainly worth a visit and is a credit to Filey. We will be back!

Benny’s is such a vibe ! Music is mint atmosphere amazing and the food is unreal it was that good I bought one of his mums paintings what you can purchase the paintings are as good as the food ! 10 out of 10 best restaurant in Yorkshire 👌

Absolutely excellent food every time at this fabulous restaurant. The staff and owner are always great, friendly and really welcoming right from the first week it opened. Extremely dog friendly too. Word of warning make sure you’re hungry when you go so you can eat all of the awesome tasty food the owner Ben produces to a very high standard.

What a hidden gem. Go out of your way to eat at Benny’s when in the area. The burgers we had were sublime. Fresh and tasty Mac & Cheese. Good draught beer and big cocktail selection. Will be returning when in the area🙌🏻

Not the absolutely awful experience others have described, but be warned this is not a proper chippy. Most of the produce is bought in and cooked from frozen including the chips. The sausages also appeared to have been left under the heating lamp for about 12 hours too long. Turning to our meal, it was £26.90 for a fish and chips; sausage and chips; 6 nuggets and curry sauce - that is somewhat on the pricey side even for a half decent chippy. That's before we even review what we actually received. As I mentioned, everything we got was perfectly edible, but nothing is made in house. The fish was quite tasty, but very small. The kids refused to eat the £5.99 nuggets (I managed them so nothing wasted, but terrible value for what you get as they are very much basic frozen nuggets hand tossed into the frier from a blue plastic bag). We did manage to get some freshly cooked sauagages and these were actually perfectly fine. However, as with any chippy, the chips should be the foundation on which it's built - and if these are anything to go by, this place should have crumbled into the sea years ago. Serving frozen chips is a travesty. Having the audacity to charge £4 a pop for them should be criminal. When you consider that the cod and chips combined was £12.98, you'd be better served heading next door to the on site 'spoons and have the fish and chips from there. Yes, it's all still cooked from frozen, but it's a better portion, open later, you get a table to eat it at, and they throw in a pint for just 67p more. Winner winner.

Disgusting, rip off, go elsewhere. 2 regular fish and chips nearly £30. Served at 5.00 by a girl who was absolutely miserable and not the sort of service you expect from a holiday resort. Curry sauce has not been made properly and was like jelly. Make no wonder none of the staff want to stay here. What a rip off.

Well what can I say what's already been said. Worst chippy in my life. Fancied a large chips to take back to caravan with me after a decent night in primrose valley complex. Frozen chips chucked in straight out of a bag not the honest spud they claim on the wall inside. Was like waiting to be hung the length of time to cook the chips. Got them back opened the box and tried one and chuck em straight outside the caravan but even the seagulls draw the line with how bad they were. Total rip off!! Do not use!!

Save ur time, money & disappointment Never in my life have I ever been sold frozen chips from a chip shop, the chips were absolutely tasteless. I reckon I could have clubbed someone to death with the battered sausage it was that old and hard.

Gutted we didn't get chips while we were in Filey but the parking was running out and we thought at least they have a chippy at the blue dolphin site. Portion sizes are rubbish, chips are from the supermarket, the fish was so bad/small that I went back thinking they had given me he wrong fish size. Only possible positive was the lady working offering to cook another fish and chips as the first fish was closer to a chunky fish finger. I didn't realise how passionate I was about fish and chips until I had to eat these. Up north we should hold all chippys to proper portions and proper fish and chips. Haven should get an actual chippy in to replace Cooks as it's praying on the fortune of having new customers that don't need to come back.

Ordered in advance for collection as i thought that would be easier. Ordered for 8pm. Arrived at 7:55 and with only one person in front of me it still took until 8:10 to take my order number. Only then did they start cooking it. In the 35 mins i was here so many people came in and complained. It was like they were all only on their first night working. A truly woeful experience, do not give them your money.

I bought my son battered sausage and chips tonight, 15 minute wait (nobody in front of us) chips are definitely frozen chips NOT chippy chips and the vinegar tastes like standard cheap vinegar and definitely NOT chippy vinegar baring in mind my nieces and nephew work at an amazing popular chippy closer to home.

Haven should Honour it. The only reason I came here is because I knew Burger King accepted blue light card, the fact that they don't to me was an insult. Ordered once, through the Haven App. Arrived within 10 minutes to my table. My meal was amazing and as expected, nice and hot. The ONLY negative, is that the Cheese Bites had clearly been sat under a light a LONG time. Pricewise, to be expected of BK.

The service was ok, it does get very busy so you are waiting quite a while for food, and the queues can be long, but overall the food was always hot an fresh, the burgers were good too

No answer after 59 calls and not deliveried food ordered

We arrived around 15 minutes before closing time. We ordered on the one open self service kiosk with ease. We waited near the kiosk as there was a drink spilt all over the floor. Whilst waiting around 5 minutes before the shop shut, someone locked up. We got our food after a short wait; they nearly forgot our loaded fries. They went to unlock the door and a member of public tried to walk in and was told it was shut. Food was cold to warm when we got it back but tasted okay.

After seeing rave reviews we were keen to try Scott's. We ordered a bacon sandwich and 3 hot beef baguettes with extra gravy. We received 3 hot beef soft buns, when my partner tried to explain we ordered baguettes he was abruptly told we hadn't. Then when he asked if we had been charged for baguettes again there was quite an abrupt attitude when told no. The bacon sandwich was a hit with my youngest daughter and it did look nice. The hot beef however were quite disappointing. Very little gravy and some of our meat was very fatty. All in all, a very disappointing trip.

Daughter had a takeaway roast Turkey dinner. This is her favourite dinner and was a treat as it was the last day of our holiday. It certainly didn't disappoint, it was beautifully cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were amazing all fresh and home made.

I'd noticed the rave reviews & wasn't disappointed! We had a hot turkey roll with stuffing & cranberry & pie & peas which were delicious so we managed a breakfast box each by the end of the weekend to set up up for the day- so glad we'd gone self catering or we wouldn't have fitted it all in!!!!

Amazing roast beef pensioners dinner as always and a jam sponge and custard all for £6.50 go here regularly both through week and Sunday always been perfect and staff are always very friendly. Breakfasts are also amazing both at their takeaway and their cafe.Would definitely recommend.

We were wondering where to get a Sunday lunch as we're stopping on the Bay. We've stopped here many times over the years. Decided to try Scott's and omg, I had large mixed meat Sunday lunch and the mrs a standard. Generous portions loads of veg and meat and beautifully cooked. Will definitely be coming back as it was super.

Had a delicious hot pork sandwich from here last weekend. Other people's food being dished up looked amazing and smelt so good. Great range of meats, deserts and sandwich options. Staff were super friendly so will definitely be returning again

First time visit ordered of the Yorkshire pudding wraps, they were great. Large portion size and very tasty, offered good value will certainly return.

We stayed at one of the cottages at the White Swan which was clean.modern, bright & airy. It was equipped with everything you needed and more. We had an excellent breakfast in the pub every morning which was one of the best breakfast we've had. It was all local produce. All the staff were welcoming and friendly along with great hosts Rachael and Ben. It is also dog friendly with a beautiful beer garden at the back or seating at the front of the pub. We are looking forward to going back when we move to Hunmanby in the near future.

Lovely place to stay. I've been here three times now. Staff are awesome. Breakfast is to be tried as it will not disappoint. Local village is well equipped takeaways, coop and local store, hardware store and a few pubs. It's always been a nice visit on all my occasions. About ten minutes drive to Filey. Hunmanby gap is worth a look. Just check tide times. Fantastic beaches nearby

What can I say a TRUE DIAMOND find, not only is the food amazing succulent and tasty, from the stone baked pizzas through to an Italian style tomatoe and cheese garlic bread. All the boxes were ticked and we had a truly amazing time! We not only be here again however it is the only place I trust with my family. If you ever have the chance go and witness the hospitality that sets standards a truly amazing find from the bottom of my heart thank you!

We (extended family of 6 adults plus our 2yo) have been visiting the village for a week and decided to go out for a meal here rather than cook in the holiday let one night. The pub itself is well looked after and typical for a British country village, but our high rating is for the lovely food and particularly the really welcoming and friendly staff. While they have a policy of no tabs due to some past incidents - which is understandable - the bar staff were lovely, making conversation with our daughter and they have even designed their own colouring book for younger kids to keep them occupied which was a really nice touch. Portion sizes are generous and everything was well cooked "proper" pub grub

The White Swan was cozy and clean. The staff were very friendly and great with our children. The only downside was that they were running out of food! Every table around us had to change their order, including us. The food was fine when it came out but it was not what we wanted to eat as our previous 3 preferred options had run out. I would try the White Swan again but go earlier in the day!

A friendly inn with clean, basic rooms and good food. It is a very old building so floors and stairs are not modern. Hunmanby is a nice quiet village, only a few miles from Filey. The White Swan is worth of a look.

Lovely pub with decked area at the back. Perfect for sitting outside with a cider on a summer's day. Great bus service time through the town taking you towards Scarborough one way and Bridlington the other.

I wish I could ask for a box salad to be made up without staff sighing and giving me a look of distain. If they feel that way, could they at least wait until they are away from the customer. This is not all staff but to be greeted like that is certainly not customer friendly. To add, I always check that there is not one already made up and there were only 3 people in today. 3 weeks later I feel I must add to this post, to write how pleasant today it has been to order in Couplands. Linda and Gareth were so cheerful and customer friendly, this makes all the difference to the atmosphere there. Thank you

Filey has a good variety of shops set in a lovely location. Whilst walking round the town today I popped into Couplands. It was very well stocked and laid out to perfection. There was a great range of food on offer. The staff were very polite. I opted for two steak bakes as the weather was a bit nippy. Sat on the front looking out to sea whilst eating them. Lovely.

I call this place cold lands cos when you expect a nice warm pastry theyre always stone cold, when I asked if they were warm they touched with the back of their hand, big no no but still the food is tasty, just needs microwaving when you get home

This shop has loads of choice pies and quiche are great Great choice, also offer cold meats, This is the First time we found them We shall return a must everyone

Myself and my wife bought a breakfast all I can say it was horrible cold hardly anything in it swimming in water no beans no black pudding like there used to be gone right down hill avoid.

Ordered 4 burger meals. All of the burgers were plain, no salad, no sauce, nothing. Complained and refund issued (still awaiting for money) don't know whether they'd run out of stuff or if the staff are just to lazy to top a burger properly. Chip cooker needs to learn some customer service before he ends up in the fryer himself

Ordered takeaway to our caravan. Ordered a vegetarian burger meal deal with large fries and was given bacon and cheese loaded fries. The burger was burnt too. Not impressed after a long days drive.

App rewards not usable at this bk - air con was on and it was very cold in there. Burgers were ok , little bit burnt but still edible and tasty.

The staff are friendly and happy to help the food was hot fresh all in all lovely place, good service like this really made our holiday a good one, will definitely be back.

Wow what a pizza!! We read the reviews and were genuinely thinking about ordering from Just Eat but we did end up ordering. I am so glad we did, the pizza base was light and fluffy, there were plenty of toppings and the guy creating these (Jamie) was excellent. He knows how to create an extremely tasty pizza. Jamie, thank you. If there was any let down, it was that the restaurant needed music. One of the guys did put some music on after we mentioned it. Ambient lighting, candles and music would create the perfect pizzeria. Jamie was a cracking pizza chef so overall a 5 star review.

Food was a let down, one margarita and one supposedly hot Vesuvius but it was very mild indeed more like an extinct volcano. The pizzas did look like they had been cooked on the side of a volcano as the bottom of the pizza was burnt to a crisp and left a distinct burnt taste in my mouth for quite a while after. I was so hungry ate it anyway but Very disappointing indeed.

I amongst others wated 1 hour for 1 pizza. Very skimpy on the pepperoni. £15.50. I could have had 2 18 inch for £16 delivered from Filey quicker. They ran out of boxes so I had to go back to our lodge and get plates. As I was leaving with mine, they ran out of chicken. They also burned 2 pizzas as I was waiting. All in all. Its minus 5 stars from me

We ordered 2 pizzas to takeaway. Very expensive at £35 for the 2. They were slightly less than a dinner plate size, burn with virtually no toppings. We could only taste the tomato base. The chef seemed to care more about making free pizzas for his colleagues. Maybe that's why we did not get any toppings to balance his food stock books.

We did scan to order from the barcode on the table, that said 'scan here to order'. When our food didn't arrive we questioned it, only for the staff to say they don't do scan to order. The tables are from the restaurant next door and they hadn't taken the scan to order off them. The manager didn't seem too bothered.

A better part of the John Paul Jones. Table had incorrect order details and I banged my head due to stupid chair placement.
