Nestled in a picturesque rural setting, The Duke of Cambridge is a charming pub that perfectly blends modern comforts with traditional warmth. With its expansive garden featuring a delightful kids' play area and inviting patio, it’s an ideal spot for families to unwind. Inside, cozy fires create a welcoming atmosphere during the colder months. This pub takes pride in its commitment to the local community by sourcing ingredients from nearby farms, ensuring fresh seasonal dishes that celebrate regional flavors.
Wonderful evening, we were staying in a Lodge next door and came here for my husbands 50th. From the moment we stepped inside we were made to feel extremely welcome. Staff were attentive throughout our meal, checking everything was to our liking. We had the steak which was cooked perfectly and had a lovely char grilled flavour. We then had the crumble and a banoffee sundae for our desserts and they were just delicious. I would highly recommend this place, Freddy was great at his job too. Thank you all for making it a perfect evening. If we lived closer we would be regulars here.

Found a beautiful place in and out with amazing food , all day kitchen(well from 12.00 till 21.00) so you dont have to wait till 19.00 to eat. 09.00 weeked starting with breakfast. So quiet in the nature pub. Lovely staff. Nice big garden. Just amazing and tranquil ....

First time visiting, celebrating a birthday. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. The food was good, although I had to ask for a sauce for the lovely pie as it was quite dry. Very surprised as it was a Monday and quite quiet that the service was VERY slow. We were not in a rush, but it could have been an issue, particularly if there had been more people. We will definitely go back soon and give it another try.

Shout out to our waitress Mia who was extremely welcoming and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Food was delicious, a little pricey, but worth it. Great outdoor area with a good vibe. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Duke of Cambridge in Tilford! The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Their genuine hospitality truly elevated the visit. The food was nothing short of spectacular—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a menu that perfectly balances classic pub fare with creative twists. The atmosphere is the ideal blend of cozy and vibrant, with charming decor and a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. Whether you're popping in for a pint or a full meal, this place is a gem. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Really good food and a great place to sit and have a drink. We took children with us who had a great time in the park in the garden. Staff were also very friendly!
Michaela P — Google review
Lovely pub and great food. The steak was cooked perfectly and the nduja ketchup was excellent. The Caffè latte gelato that came with the coffee and chocolate gateau deserves a special mention too.
Duncan W — Google review
Nice venue, friendly staff and place was very busy. But the food was just ok, it was unnecessarily expensive with ridiculously small portions. Sunday roast pork belly was tiny, potatoes and the greens were cold. £21 for a bacon cheeseburger is extortionate. Best thing was the gravy and the apple tart for dessert.

The Spotted Cow is a hidden country pub nestled in a serene wooded garden spanning four acres. This charming establishment offers an extensive selection of real ales and delicious pub food, all served by friendly staff who welcome dogs with open arms. Situated on the outskirts of Farnham, this idyllic restaurant boasts not one but two gardens, providing ample space for furry friends to frolic.
We stopped by for a quick dinner and I was very pleasantly surprised. We had 4 pizzas, a few drinks, some beer, wine, and an amazing lemon tart to finish. The pizza was fantastic – definitely 8/10, maybe even more! The Quattro Formaggi was the winner. Service and atmosphere were top-notch – a solid 10/10. I’m looking forward to coming back again. 👌🍕🍷

Lovely little pub/restaurant with a huge conservatory and outdoor patio dining area. The food is exceptional and Steaks to die for probably one of the nicest Pieces of meat I’ve had served in front of me with Great presentation. Judging by how busy the large car park gets it’s a very popular place for many people.

Best restaurant I have been to in Surrey for many years. everything was beyond top standard. All our meal choices were superb and we are already planning for a revisit to try the Sunday roast or and steak. Such a chilled relaxing atmosphere, staff very pleasant and attentive. couldn’t ask for more, plus the grounds are beautiful inside and out. So glad I came across this hidden gem I can’t wait to return.

The Spotted Cow is such a lovely pub – the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was full of flavour. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with that perfect balance of cosy and lively. The staff were friendly and attentive, which really made the experience even better. A wonderful spot for both a relaxed meal or a special evening out – we’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I recently visited The Spotted Cow Pub in Farnham, and despite it being a bit of a journey, it was absolutely worth it. The interior is charming and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I ordered the chicken and chorizo skewers, which were accompanied by grilled vegetables and a refreshing minty sauce. The skewers were flavourful, and the combination with the vegetables and sauce was delightful. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and I will definitely be returning to The Spotted Cow. It’s a hidden gem that’s well worth the visit.

We had a great time for Sunday lunch. We went quite late in the day and they were very informative straight away about which roasts they had left and obviously had made adjustments to try and give as many options as possible. The main was very tasty but the dessert! The desserts were incredible! We will definitely go again.

What a fantastic find. The the maitre'd was so helpful and welcoming. The waiting staff excellent. The FOOD best roast had anywhere out for a very long time. The seafood Linguine five stars. Definitely go back. Thank you all lovely way to enjoy Sunday with family.

Very lovely pub (more a restaurant really). A bit of a drive from the town center, but in a very nice, forestry area near Bourne Woods. The food was good, even though I thought it was a bit expensive. The conservatory and the terrace fantastic. The service was very good. Overall, very recommended.

Bill's Farnham Restaurant is a contemporary European chain that offers separate menus for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner. Founded in 2001 by Greengrocer Bill Collinson in Lewes, East Sussex, the restaurant has since expanded to 81 sites across the UK. The restaurant provides a laid-back atmosphere and a diverse menu throughout the day.
Stopped in for breakfast, the staff were unbelievably nice and made the whole experience so easy and friendly, would recommend based on the staff alone, the venue is clean, really nicely laid out and had a brilliant vibe. The food was good, came out hot and fresh, with a wide variety of choices on the menu. Prices were fair and varied, would definitely return and you should go and visit.

You can always expect a good all day brunch from Bill’s, huge portion size and everything other than the black pudding (a bit dry) is pretty perfect. Also ordered the summer special: BBQ tray which was quite decent, the highlight was the sausage which was very flavourful. Top notch service and super friendly staffs too
Yanners — Google review
We recently took up the £5 pancake offer at Bill’s Farnham. The pancakes were absolutely delicious - fluffy, filling, and very generous in portion size. Although it was an unlimited offer, one plate each was more than enough for us! It was quite loud inside, which isn’t surprising for a busy Friday evening, but the lively atmosphere added to the experience. The staff were really attentive throughout, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a great spot for a casual and tasty treat - we’d happily return! 🥞

Incredible service and hosting from Dan and Rahil were amazing! I have a 4 & 5 year old and they couldn't have been more attentive to them and us! Food was gorgeous and service even more! Thank you so so much. Very impressed. We Will definitely visit again! Xxx

My wife, friend, and I dined on a weekday afternoon with our miniature dachshund. The team could not have been more welcoming and the service was attentive. We all enjoyed our meals and atmosphere made for a relaxing leisurely lunch. The manager was happy to discuss our friend’s dietary requirements and he even mopped up after our dog knocked his water bowl over! We all really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend Bill’s in Farnham.

We just left the restaurant, and as always bill's standards never let us down. The staff was very welcoming and professional, our waiter Zoya did a great job and the food we ordered was very tasty. Overall everything was great, the only minor issue was the chicken wings served as side with the blockbuster burger, they were a bit dry.

Went in with low expectations during a business trip to Farnham but we had a super evening at Bill's... Food and drinks were great, came out in good time and everything was very nice. Gyozas on the starter sharing platter were my favourite dish. The atmosphere and staff (in particular - waiter from Brazil and waitress with piercings) were absolutely great and we received the best and most friendly service I've had in years... Sincere and genuine friendly/caring service which is hard to find these days. 100% recommended and we will come back for sure next time we're visiting Farnham...!

We love Bills in Farnham. Tried the Third Monkey for our anniversary, not impressed for the money and there was a power cut so had to leave. Went to Bills who were super friendly and welcoming and we had a great evening with great food and it’s good value. What more can you ask for! We go here often for Sunday brunch too as it’s the best in Farnham.

Sicilian restaurant
Daniele Sicilian Restaurant is a charming and lively eatery with a vibrant atmosphere. Customers can enjoy their meals outdoors, creating a bustling ambiance. The attentive staff handle the noise levels courteously. The menu offers appetizers, main courses, and desserts to satisfy various palates. While the mussels were slightly saltier than expected, they still presented an enjoyable taste. The fried seafood was cooked to perfection, and the pizzas were deliciously satisfying.
We went to Daniele Sicilian for our Golden Wedding anniversary. We took 20 friends and family and had an amazing time. The food was excellent everyone enjoyed it, there were no complaints other than there more than enough. The staff could not have been more helpful, they were attentive but discreet. We will certainly be visiting again. Thank you all so much for making our special day sogood

What a wonderful restaurant. I was very impressed by the staff as they couldn't do enough to help but weren't pestering you they were just around if you needed something. All of them looked really smart too. The food was really tasty and there was so much choice. Something for everyone with prices to suit everyone's pocket. Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely decor which made for a really special evening. We will definitely return.

Very popular restaurant with a nice varied menu. Can get very busy, especially in the evenings and this may impact speed of service. However, we had no problem with the speed at which our food was served and enjoyed 3 courses.

We bloody love their pizza as you’ll see from the few pictures 🤣 🍕 !! High praise indeed! Staff are all gorgeous warm and wonderful and it’s always a pleasure to pop in for a cheeky Peroni and wait for take away. Having spent the last year hanging around every other week for pizzas All the other dishes look absolutely amazing stood admiring people‘s dinners for many a visit. If all you try is the pizza, you won’t be disappointed always worth the drive always worth the wait and the staff will look after you ! Oh and the garlic bread is pretty bloody good too!

Second visit and it has not disappointed, it was busy even for a Tuesday night but the service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I took my colleague from China and she said it was the best Italian she has ever tasted and so many different flavours. Thank you!!!

This is a very busy restaurant with limited parking available. We managed to get the last space in the car park. We had the table squashed in by the front door which wasn’t great as people were constantly going past us. We must have had 4 different waiters/waitresses and none were very attentive. The food and drink were excellent but the service definitely let it down.

Lovely evening spent with family. Risotto is highly recommended as are the desserts. Banoffee pie was gorgeous. We had an excellent server Miren. Attentive and friendly. Thank you Miren. Very clean and toilets clean and well decorated. Always a good sign. It was busy. Obviously popular with locals but not loud and easy to talk. Food arrived in good time, hot and freshly made. Highly recommend a visit.

Exceptional in every way. The pizza was genuinely the best we’d all ever had, and that includes holidays to Italy! The service was excellent, friendly staff and attentive. Darius the owner took time to come and have a chat and make the children feel welcome. I simply cannot see how they’re currently 4.8 stars, it should be 5! Highly recommended. .

I can never get enough of Piccolo’s, hands down one of my top restaurants to eat at. The food is always so fresh and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Make sure to try the Gamberettoni!

A huge thank you too Darius The proprietor of this amazing restaurant. I somehow manager to book a table for 5:15 pm instead of 7:15. in spite of the [lace being busy he managed to sort us out a table. we had the most splendid meal, in a lovely environment with great atmosphere. Definitely our favourite place to eat out

Excellent Italian food with a great ambiance. Want cozy? Dine downstairs. Want higher ceilings and more light? Done upstairs. Food ranges in price so there is something for everyone. I really enjoyed the mushroom chicken risotto. Just the right portion. Doesn't come with any extras so if you want a side salad you need to add that but that's fine. And for summer dining they kept just cool enough with their AC, even upstairs.

Nestled in a charming red-brick Georgian building, Thai Lotusland Restaurant Farnham is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Thai cuisine. Since its opening in 2018, this vibrant eatery has quickly established itself as a must-visit destination in Surrey. Guests are greeted by an inviting atmosphere adorned with modern Thai art and unique low-level seating that adds to the dining experience.
The food at Thai Lotusland Restaurant was absolutely amazing, and the service matched it perfectly! I highly recommend booking a table in advance to ensure you get a spot, as this place is truly a hidden gem. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, this is definitely the place to visit—you won't be disappointed. Possibly the best Thai food I've ever had! Can't wait to return!

My friend and I visited for the first time last night and we both left with full bellies and very impressed. The service from when we arrived was excellent. We enjoyed some lovely mocktails (blackcurrant mock-ito is highly recommended), some delicious starters (chicken satay and Khanom Pang Nar Goong - a prawn fried toast that is a must-try!), and delicious mains, we would both recommend the Pad See Aew and the Moo Pad Med Mamuang (pork with cashew nuts). The restaurant was beautifully decorated and it was lovely to feel relaxed, unhurried and able to enjoy our meal at an easy pace. We have both said we will definitely be back.

Thai Lotusland is the original Thai restaurant in Farnham, before Giggling Squid arrived. They don’t have their own car park but it’s a short walk from the nearest public car park Our go to meal here are the mixed starters, lamb massaman, tamarind duck and coconut rice or pad Thai. The food is also served with amazing food carvings (don’t eat those!) Service us always with warm Thai hospitality and there are authentic Thai touches including floor seating

I’ve visited this Thai restaurant several times over the past year and have always enjoyed the food and the warm, welcoming service. There’s usually a lovely gentleman who serves us—he’s consistently polite, helpful, and accommodating, which has always made our visits a pleasure. However, today I was left quite disappointed. We visited around 6pm today and were served by a female waiter who, unfortunately, had a very dismissive and unprofessional attitude. When I asked a simple question about one of the dishes, she curtly responded, “Just read the menu,” and said she didn’t know. There was no attempt to assist or even be polite, which really took away from the overall experience. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that I observed her interacting with a nearby table where the customer was of a different ethnicity—and her attitude toward them was noticeably more pleasant, attentive, and friendly. The stark contrast in how we were treated felt discriminatory and left a very sour impression. This experience was disheartening, especially given the positive interactions I’ve had in the past. I sincerely hope the management addresses this, as consistency and respectful treatment of all guests are crucial. The food remains excellent, and the usual staff are great—but this kind of behaviour really needs to be looked into.

During a recent visit to Serina, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful dining experience with friends. The venue exudes charm and offers a relaxing ambiance, especially on Piano Night when the atmosphere is simply enchanting. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that my dietary restrictions were accommodated without any hassle. I savored fresh prawns and scallops as starters; the scallops were particularly exquisite with their sweet, buttery flavor—definitely fresh!
I am sitting in this place between the courses and writing a review! I cannot believe how tasty, honest and beautiful the food is! I forgot the last time I was eating out and was so happy with the food! Beautiful monkfish tails, steak and ale pie, starters of BBQ chicken wings and calamari came promptly and were gratefully demolished, waiting for a dessert menu, I am sure they won’t disappoint! Compliments to the chef, but most importantly to the staff, and lovely Millie especially! 💝

Great menu and food! The fish of the day was incredible 🐟 I personally don't like environments that are too loud due to sensory issues, hence the 4 stars. Upstairs is nice and quiet and downstairs turns into a loud bar with some tables, so ask to sit upstairs if you like a more relaxed atmosphere.

I would like to keep this as a secret but it is too good and they deserve the recognition for all the passion and hard work work they put in every dish. We had fritto misto, caponata with focaccia and parmigiana. Every dish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Fritto misto not oily and not frozen. Food was tasty and hot. Service was wonderful. We met Mario the Manager, such a passionate chef. A little corner of Italy in Farnham. The back courtyard is a gem. It has different areas and it is surprisingly spacious! Go in even for just an aperitivo as it is one of the few places I can think with a nice sunny alfresco seating. I took some pictures of the outdoor and indoor as I will be taking clients here. They also have live music on some evenings!

I had my baby shower at Serina’s in Farnham last weekend and honestly, it was amazing! The staff were so lovely – always checking in to make sure me and my guests were okay, super helpful, and handled a busy bar like pros. They made everything feel really relaxed and easy. I was able to decorate the space however I wanted, which made it feel really personal – and the garden looked so beautiful, it was the perfect vibe for the day. If you’re planning a party or even just want a nice meal out with friends or family, I couldn’t recommend Serina’s more. Such a great spot and such a lovely team!

Wow! What a treat! So great to find this little gem of a place along the high street. The service was 10/10, we were so well looked after, the wine choices were great and the cocktails fresh and tasty! The food was great and had many choices for us all. Thanks for looking after us team! We can’t wait to visit again.

Had a disappointing meal at Serinas tonight. We booked a table around 6 for 2 people as a last minute date night, we have been to Serinas a fair few times since it opened as we have loved their fish dishes, and were regular visitors back when they used to have the fisherman nights. We were super happy that we had found somewhere local that serviced delicious and quality seafood. We were seated by a really lovely front on house man, then it took about 10/15 minutes for someone to come take our order. We ordered anchovy bruschetta and then two mussels and fries mains. The anchovy starter came out with 1 mussel starter which we did not order, and it turns out there was a mess up with the order, so they took the mussels away and we continued eating. Then the mains came out, one came in its own, to which I panicked thinking the order was wrong again, and I said to the waitress ‘there is another one coming just checking’ and she replied rather rudely saying ‘yes other one is coming but unfortunately I cannot carry both’. It light of the situation I would have probably advised that the other dish was on its way rather than placing one down and walking away. When the mussels came out, it honestly looked like they had chucked the already cooked mussels back into the pan with some new ones to avoid waste. Some mussels were literally orange and minuscule and it was like chewing on a tyre. No freshness, no flavour, quite frankly disgusting. But some mussels in there were sweet and normal, which makes me believe they were just trying to be cheeky. We complained to another waitress (who was really sweet and lovely) and then she brought over the front of house man from before who we showed the mussels too, he agreed and was really understanding. He asked the kitchen who obviously denied they had re cooked the mussels, so if this was not the case, this concerning as clearly the chef cannot cook mussels. The gent apologised and offered some free lemonchello which was nice. Overall we ended up just paying for the starter and drinks, then leaving. We have loved Serinas, but it seems to have really gone down hill since the last time we visited back in October. Sadly will not likely be returning.

Lovely garden out the back for when it's sunny. The food is delicious 10/10, if you aren't sure what to get I recommend the Trio du Pastas (pictured). Cocktails are strong as well 😁
Jake S — Google review
If you like waiting a really, really long time for overcooked and boring food, then I would highly recommend this place. We ordered some starters to be told 40 minutes after ordering that one of the starters was not available. Then had to wait another 20 minutes for the other starters to arrive. Then half hour or so after that, we got our main which was very overcooked. The staff were apologetic but they should have advised us sooner of the delay. Shame they changed their menu, the old menu was much better and food was way better before!

Nestled on South Street, Sushi Jun is a delightful gem that brings the essence of authentic Japanese cuisine to the UK. This charming eatery offers an impressive menu featuring mouthwatering options like tempura prawns, sushi, sashimi, and delectable Japanese buns. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to guide newcomers through their offerings, ensuring everyone finds something they love. While the dessert selection may be limited—an unfortunate oversight given Japan's renowned sweet treats—the overall dining experience is exceptional.
My partner and I really enjoyed the food here. All of our main dishes were very fresh, plenty flavourful and good portions too. We arrived without making a reservation so we were seated at the sushi bar, which is understandable. The dessert was enjoyable. The service was brilliant, there is only a few servers in the restaurant and it was quite busy and yet they were still prompt with their service. I would highly recommend going here and I will definitely be back again.

Absolutely amazing place. Fabulous prices for what you get, incredible, authentic atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is delicious and looks exactly like the pictures! Couldn’t recommend enough if you have the money (~£20-30 per person)

The sushi quality vs price was good! Two people, we paid £50 The selection is varied enough to hit the sweet-spot of everyone’s taste. The wait wasn’t massive, the waitresses were really nice so nothing to point out other than: We made a reservation for the evening and we arrived with two 2-people empty tables and the receptionist still insisted on putting us at the bar, we had to decline of course. They put us at the table in the end, but not great! Would have been 5 stars service if not for that.

Delicious food. Service was a bit slow. My mum and I finished our mains and my bf's main didn't come out yet. Nice small restaurant Price was good. Spent £74 for 3mains and 1 starter and a volcano sushi. Oh and volcano sushi was a lil disappointing as it didn't have that nice charred flavour on the salmon.

Sushi Jun is a little gem of a restaurant in Farnham. We’re lucky to have such a lovely izakaya style Japanese restaurant here in the Surrey countryside Everything is freshly made, so food will arrive as it’s ready. The menu covers a lot of favourites - tempura, Hirata buns, sushi, udon noodles, donburi rice bowls. It won’t be a cheap evening out but it’ll be delicious

Fell in love with this place! Excellent food, efficient staff. I would recommend to book a table, so you will get a space. Adding pictures of half eaten food 😂😂 too good to picture tho

Been going here for a while and it’s hands down the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is amazing, authentic, looks just like the photos and the atmosphere’s lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough!! If you like Japanese food, are in farnham and have the budget ABSOLUTELY go here.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Never had bad service and the food is outrageous. After visiting Japan a couple of times, Sushi Jun is genuinely one of the most authentic experiences I have had in the UK.

Veena's Kitchen is a delightful Thai establishment located in Farnham, offering exceptional service. Reserving a table for six was a hassle-free experience through phone booking. The restaurant provides an impressive array of food choices, catering to diverse dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The Pad Thai Tofu and Spring Rolls depicted in the photographs were delectable with generous portion sizes.
A really lovely place with very kind staff. The chef made up a tom kha curry for me without the fish sauce because I'm veggie, and it was perfect. Veena's Kitchen is one of my fave restaurants in Farnham because it has such a calm and chill vibe and I never feel awkward dining alone here. I highly recommend Veena's to anyone interested in trying it!

Nobody wants to write a bad review, but sometimes you just have to, in the hope that it helps. The front of house people in Veena's restaurant today were lovely and the service was excellent, however this was some of the worst Thai food I'd ever experienced. We tried this restaurant because of the earlier reviews and because it advertised itself as authentic, but unfortunately there was nothing authentic about this Thai food. Everything was processed and extremely sweet and to be honest, inedible (so sickly) after a few mouthfuls. Nobody at our table finished their meal, so not sure if they were having an off day, but none of the dishes looked anything like the pictures online. For some very good reasons I know and understand decent Thai food and this was just the pits, but having said all of that, it's a lovely place to sit and chill if you aren't hungry :-)

We popped into Veena's Kitchen on a bit of a whim yesterday evening and can say with confidence it was the best Thai food I've had in years. The starters were tasty (chicken wings & prawn crackers) & the Thai Green Curry was delicious & punchy. My partner had the Pad Gra Phrao which was also very tasty. Service was impeccable & the total bill reasonable. I can highly recommend a visit. We'll be back very soon!

The food was to die for! We went for a casual lunch, walked in off the street. It wasn't quiet, which is always a good sign. One young lady working front of house, but she was fast, efficient and friendly. Food was served relatively quickly and presented brilliantly. All ingredients were obviously fresh and the dishes we had were amazing.
Gary D — Google review
This place feels more like a café than a full-service restaurant. When we booked, I had checked the older menu prices, so I was surprised to find how expensive it has become. The food itself was mixed. The massaman curry was enjoyable, but the pad Thai was unusually orange in colour and had an odd flavour I couldn't quite place. It reminded me of one other place that makes it in a similar style I also didn’t enjoy—it just wasn’t what I was expecting from a traditional pad Thai. The biggest issue for me, however, was the pricing and added charges. £16 for a chicken pad Thai and £17 for a beef curry already felt steep. But what really put me off was being charged £2 for sweet chilli sauce on top of £4.95 for Thai prawn crackers. It seems unreasonable not to include a small sauce with the crackers—it made the experience feel unnecessarily transactional. To top it off, when I asked to take home the rest of my noodles, they said it would be a 50p charge for the takeaway box. I understand businesses need to cover costs, but charging for a small plastic container feels excessive. Combined with the lack of a water refill (despite asking), it all added up to a feeling that they were trying to squeeze every last penny from the customer. In the end, I removed the tip to make up for the extra charges, which left a sour note on what I hoped would be a great experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.

Lovely Thai place in Farnham with great service. It was easy to reserve a table of 6 over the phone and had great food options, including vegan, vegetarian, and some gluten-free choices! The photos are of the Pad Thai Tofu and a side of the Spring Rolls, both of which were excellent portion sizes and great in flavour. The waitress we had asked the table if anyone had any allergens, and she even asked me if I wanted the egg in my Pad Thai to make it vegan instead of vegetarian. The restaurant opens at 5:30, but the little shop towards the back where you can buy various drinks and snacks is open before 5:30, and they are also open for takeaway boba drinks as well. Definitely will dine with Veena's Kitchen again 💕

I don't know much about Thai cuisine, but if that's the real flavours of Thailand I do want to explore more! The dishes were well balanced, full of flavour and seasoned to perfection. Each dish had a decent amount of meat, nicely done as well. Even if you're not fond of specific flavours, still give it a go, composition will blow your mind. Black lemon tea and pancakes were like a cherry on top. As per the restaurant itself, it's very clean, comfortable and the staff is amazingly friendly. We'll definitely be back soon!

Nestled in the charming town of Farnham, The Luxe Restaurant & Bar offers a unique dining experience that beautifully blends elegance with warmth. With its stunning interiors featuring quarried marble from Turkey and Italy, life-size statues, and intricate plaster mouldings, every corner exudes sophistication. Owner Jan Hegan has poured over a million pounds into creating this exquisite space. Guests rave about the attentive service and friendly staff who ensure you feel pampered throughout your visit.
What a great find! An ample selection of mains.. myself and my partner were struggling to pick 2 mains so we went for 3 and skipped starters. All the dishes were great and they have a special offer on the fish every Tuesday (Any fish dish for £15). 3 mains, 2 mocktails, baklava to share, a bottle of water and service charge all came in at under £100 which I felt was very reasonable. The service is also top notch! Highly recommended.

Okay, here's a re-write of your experience: The place was stunning, but the vibe felt a bit off. It seemed like a fancy dress-up spot, but the dress code was all over the place, with people in joggers and flip-flops. The food was tasty, but way overpriced. The service was slow and could have been better, though the staff were friendly. The worst part was waiting ages for them to clear our plates. On the plus side, the cocktails were incredible, especially the best pina colada I've had in the UK! Overall, it was a fun experience, but I'm not rushing back.

I booked The Luxe weeks in advance for my wife’s 21st birthday on 19th August. We went on a Tuesday late evening and, surprisingly, we were the only guests in the restaurant. Our table was in the Dolce Grazzie Room, which was extremely beautiful — elegant décor, stunning lighting, and a setting that felt perfect for a special celebration. We were greeted warmly by the manager, who was clearly proud of his restaurant and made us feel very welcome. Service throughout was impeccable — attentive, polite, and professional. The drinks were another highlight. We don’t drink alcohol, so we ordered pina colada mocktails (see photo) and they were genuinely outstanding — creamy, refreshing, and full of flavour. The food started strong. The houmous with bread was superb — the houmous was smooth, well-seasoned, and packed with flavour, and the warm bread alongside it was fresh and delicious. The garlic sauce served was excellent, though the chilli sauce, in my opinion, wasn’t the best. At the end of the meal, we were also given a complimentary pistachio tiramisu, which was indulgent yet light, and a lovely gesture that we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the mains completely ruined what could have been a fantastic evening. My wife ordered the prawn linguini. Since it’s cooked in a white wine sauce, we asked for it without. The chef reassured us with “of course, of course,” but what came out was nothing like the menu promised — just plain boiled linguini with a few spiced prawns dropped on top (see photo). My wife ended up eating the prawns and leaving the pasta behind. I ordered the sea bass, which on the menu is described as two fillets with roasted baby potatoes, spinach, burnt lemon & caper sauce (see menu photo). What I was actually served was one fillet, a handful of plain potatoes, and a dry side salad (see photo). None of the key elements from the menu were there — no spinach, no burnt lemon, no caper sauce. It felt lazy and rushed. We paid £75 in total: two incredible mocktails, one excellent starter with amazing bread and sauce, and a complimentary dessert that was a thoughtful touch — but two mains that were shockingly poor. Because it was my wife’s birthday, I didn’t want to complain at the table and spoil the occasion, but I left feeling really let down. It’s a real shame, because The Luxe has so much potential. The Dolce Grazzie Room is stunning, the manager’s welcome was warm, the service was excellent, the drinks, bread, and smaller plates were brilliant. But the mains — the centrepiece of the meal — completely failed to deliver on quality and on the menu’s promises. I’ve attached photos so others can see exactly what we were served compared to what’s advertised. I want to see The Luxe succeed, and that’s why I will return to give it another chance — but until the mains are fixed, I couldn’t recommend it for a special occasion.

We had a fantastic experience at The Luxe Farnham. The atmosphere is stylish yet welcoming, and the attention to detail really makes it stand out. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel so well looked after from start to finish. The food and drinks were beautifully presented and tasted amazing — clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. It’s the perfect spot for both a relaxed lunch or a special evening out. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone in Farnham looking for somewhere memorable.

Not going back 1: the service was slow and the staff had selective hearing. When they took the plates they saw I have not finished my food, besides I had few bites, I did not like it . In the end I was trying to mention as I did not eat my meal what kind of discount could I get… they ignored it 2: when it was the time to pay we asked them about the optional service charge, which is legally can be asked to remove. They said it is already on the bill sk we have to pay… that’s not right! 3: we wished to have a look to see the place , they said upstairs it’s busy and they don’t have a space but after we sat downstairs we went upstairs as the bathroom was there, and apart from 1 team it was empty…. Overall: nothing special, it is overpriced!

The food at The Luxe in Farnham was absolutely awful. Everything we ordered was either cold, bland, or completely inedible. The chicken was served cold, the rice was cold and tasted like microwave rice, the children’s burger literally tasted like water, and the prawns were so bad that one member of our group ended up being sick afterward. It was honestly some of the worst food we’ve ever been served. To make matters worse, there was no chef on site — something we weren’t told about when we arrived — and yet the restaurant still charged premium prices. The atmosphere matched the food: dull and uninviting. The service was slow, the waitress was rude, and the manager didn’t even apologize. For the price they charge, the quality is unacceptable. Terrible food, poor service, and not worth a visit.

The Luxe Farnham was the meeting point for a very last minute meet up with friends, and luckily they had a table to fit us in. The one word that came to mind when I entered was 'extravagant'. The restaurant has some very impressive decor that wouldn't look out of place in London (or maybe even on Mt Olympus). The highlight had to be the rotating statue of Poseidon and the toilets were quite an experience! Their menu offered a variety of Greek and Mediterranean dishes, so there was plenty of delicious items to choose from. We started off with a cold selection of dips to share between us with some flatbreads. Everyone really enjoyed all the different elements and it was a great way to taste lots of different flavors. For main course I had the Moussaka. I loved everything about this dish - it was vibrant, and incredibly flavoursome. Even the side salads were amazing. I had a side of chips which were some of the best I've had in a very long time. The service at The Luxe Farnham was fantastic. All the team were attentive and friendly, and couldn't have done more to ensure our visit was perfect. Although it's not the cheapest restaurant we could have visited, the ambience, the food and the staff were all well worth the price tag. I would highly recommend a visit if you're looking for a nice spot to each in Farnham.

Côte Farnham is a modern French brasserie chain that draws inspiration from the traditional Parisian brasseries. The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic French dishes made from high-quality ingredients throughout the day. While it is known for its reliable and consistent service, some recent menu changes have received mixed reviews. However, the restaurant remains a popular choice for families due to its diverse menu and attentive staff.
Lovely example of this great chain. Pretty building with outdoor seating. Food on prix fixe menu was fantastic.

I had a delightful meal here. The vegetable tagine was rich and creamy with the perfect amount of heat. The giant coucous was mixed in with the dish and made it quite filling. When asked, the waitress suggested we may want to order sides so we added broccoli and fries but found we couldn't finish them as the tagines and bread were more filling than anticipated. Service was quick and friendly!

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here. The service was quick and all the staff were friendly and inviting. The menu provided something for everyone and our whole group left highly satisfied with their meals. The dauphinois potato’s we’re so crispy on top yet rich and creamy underneath. All the meat we ordered was well cooked and moist and accompanied with deep flavourful sauces. We would certainly recommend a visit here.

Visited on a Saturday night, the place was fairly busy, with all the outside seating packed. Overall, it had a good atmosphere. The guy who seated us seemed unsure at first about where to put us but worked it out in the end. The servers/waiters were very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was good, though not outstanding. A little pricey, but not unreasonable. A tip was automatically added to the bill, which I’m not a fan of, yes, I know it can be removed, but that’s not the point.

May 17th 2024. Arrived at 3:00 pm for late lunch early dinner. Sat outside with a blue spring sky above and a gentle breeze. I had : Poulet Breton Rôti 17.75 Responsibly reared in Northern France Corn-fed marinated roasted half chicken, served with confit potatoes and a herb salad 597 kcal With the Recommended with Sauce Diane 2.75 37 kcal Very tasty but looked like Chicken and chips! The herb salad was a few sprigs of parsley with a small slice of onion! It was cooked very well and was flavoursome. Seemed very expensive as we had to buy the greens also. The waiter was very helpful in letting us know that one portion would be enough for two people. My husband had : Fish Parmentier 15.75 Haddock, prawns & salmon in a white wine & leek sauce, topped with potato purée and a Comté crust, served with a herb salad 640 kcal It was delicious, I was informed. For pudding we had the apple Tarte Tatin which was superb and generous, with a decent scoop of ice cream. Because of the waiter’s help, the delicious tarte tatin and the lovely atmosphere, we would revisit. In fact the waiter was brilliant on every level, kind, chatty but not too much, attentive and made us feel important and well looked after.

Birthday get together with friends and Cote is our go to. We were left very disappointed in the recent changes to a more brasserie style set up. Even the new menu design had a cheaper look/layout, no glassware or cutlery on the tables. FOOD-The food-not up to the standard we would expect for the place we knew, especially as prices are not cheap. Filet steak not prepared to request, sides expensive and struggled to share between 2 as portion size reduced. Frites- well these are now chunky chips and looked as if they'd been thrown on the plate rather than nicely presented in a small bowl. We all felt very disappointed as we always looked forward toeating here for special occasions. SERVICE- we couldn't have asked for better, attentive, informative, listened to our feedback and dealt effectively with the issues we raised. It was a busy Friday night and we were very looked after, such a shame we came away disappointed with the food and all said not sure we'd rush back.

Home From a beautiful meal with three of my friends at the Farnham restaurant. Sadly for the staff, there was a bit of a glitch with the till system and unbelievably customers were giving them grief despite being offered the whole meal for free. I think all members of staff handled it incredibly well and continued with courtesy even went under an incredible amount of stress. I certainly will be returning for another portion of French onion soup.

My spouse and I dined at Yiayias, a Greek restaurant located at The Fox, this evening. The staff members were delightful, particularly our server Abby who displayed great politeness, amiability, and attentiveness. The establishment itself boasts a charming setting, evident from the couple of snapshots we captured. The cuisine was truly exceptional, surpassing any meal we have had in quite some time. We savored the use of fresh ingredients, generous portion sizes, and superb presentation throughout each course.
This was my second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first. The staff were incredibly friendly, the meals arrived quickly, and the chef even came to speak with us, adding a personal touch. Delicious food and excellent service. I can’t wait to come back!

Service and food extremely bland. Diabolical service from start to finish. Arrived stood waiting to be seated only two operating the front of house. English young guy said I’ll be with you in a minute we waited and waited nothing then a Greek guy turned up and said you can sit where you like! We chose our table he said you can’t sit there it’s reserved. We sat and sat and sat no drink orders taken so we made our way to the bar and got our drinks. They eventually took our order for food. We observed two headless chickens running around trying to manage the garden and front of house and take food orders it was all very unprofessional. We tried to order and they said we haven’t got this we haven’t got that 😡The food came out and not what I’d normally go for which was 2 very small chicken souvlaki which were bland and tasteless and dry sprinkled with origano and a tiny garnish of lettuce which was brown in places + chips cost in total £18.75! The chips were very nice but the so called Greek salad a joke! 4 Tiny pieces of feta No seasoning no olive oil on the table , it was embarrassingly bad the tomatoes were unripe! The Tzatziki was ok tho! I lived on Corfu island and the food was incredible the food you served had to be the blandest I’ve ever had definitely NOT typical Greek. We left asap and certainly won’t be returning! Utter rubbish the best bit being the chips which were not included in the main dish! We paid for those separately at £4.75 😡

I recently visited Yiayias at The Fox and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely outstanding! We order the meat Mini Maze for two. We started with the classic tzatziki, hummus, freshly baked pita bread, and salad. It was the perfect start to the meal. The flavors were fresh and vibrant. The main course, was a good portion (more that we could eat and we ended up taking some home) Everything was freshly cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My dining partner really like the moussaka. To top it off, we ended the evening with a delicious slice of baklava. Homemade!! If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine with exceptional service, I highly recommend Yiayias at the fox. I will definitely be coming back to try the fish Mini Maze.

Heaven's Kitchen is a charming restaurant that beautifully combines rustic pine wood decor with a warm, inviting atmosphere. This family-run establishment prides itself on serving homemade dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, making each meal feel special and authentic. Wow wow wow! This place ticked so many places for our 5 year anniversary meal. Highly recommend by many friends, we’re so pleased we went and were not disappointed! Location In Farnham and walkable distance Atmosphere Cosy and welcoming Food Even if you’re not a starter person, DO try the steak yorkies - delicious! For mains, we went for the rump and brisket: Brisket - succulent and full of flavour Rump - exquisite! I was going to order medium rare but the staff said ‘can i recommend medium?’. Thank goodness i listened - the steak was cooked to perfection! I got it with peppercorn sauce - still delicious, but tbh, the steak was perfect on its own We both had skin on fries which were equally delicious Service Slick, professional and courteous. Great recommendations too Wait time Evenly paced between meals Value This is definitely on the higher end, but you absolutely get what you pay for - oozes from the food through to service So glad we came here - will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

My wife and I feel like we’ve grown up with Heaven’s Kitchen. They now have a few branches but this is the original location. It opened just after we moved to the area. As we were refurbishing our house at the time and had a long time without a kitchen, we had to eat out lot during that time. So, we got to know the staff well In those early days, the weakness was consistency as they seemed to go through quite a few chefs. Still, we loved the bruschetta and mushroom risotto, which sadly aren’t on the menu any more Yesterday, we came back after not coming for awhile. Service was a bit slow but very friendly - there were just 2 staff working flat out. The food was really tasty. Bone marrow, seafood linguine and ribeye steak were all wolfed down Great to see HK flourishing

The Ball & Wicket is a charming country pub located on an old cricket pitch, offering classic comfort food and Sunday roast, as well as a kids' menu. The attached Bistro, run by New York chef Christopher McTighe, provides a fresh take on traditional cooking with contemporary twists. Surrounded by beautiful wooded scenery, the pub is an ideal spot for a peaceful afternoon stroll followed by a heartwarming meal and cask ale.
My wife and I went for my birthday dinner, Absolutely fabulous, staff atmosphere and food is first rate. Very reasonably priced for eating out. We both chose from the Seasonal menu, I have the Game Mixed Grill and my wife had the Duck pie. We will definitely be going back for more.

The lady / manager with the pink hair was LOVELY super friendly, efficient service and great with children. Great at her job and it makes such a difference to your meal and your day when the service is good. Food was lovely, a tasty veggie burger with all the bells and whistle’s- higher end for pub food. Highly recommend.

Went for Monday lunch. Have to mention we had gone to The Mill at Elstead first (because of river setting) only to be disappointed as two of the meals we tried to order they didn’t have apparently. So we left and went to The Ball & Wicket where we had great food and great service! Thoroughly recommend.

The Ball and Wicket – Where the Only Thing Roasted Was My Patience We made an impromptu visit to The Ball and Wicket after a calming wander around a nearby garden centre. I suppose we were lulled into a false sense of optimism by the soothing sight of petunias and potting compost. Now, I’ve been to many a Chef & Brewer pub in my time. They rarely blow me away, but they usually strike that delicate balance of being just tasty enough to justify the price. This time, however, the balance tipped—hard—and landed squarely in the land of deep disappointment. Let’s start with the good: the welcome. A delightful staff member with bright pink hair greeted us with warmth and a smile so genuine it could’ve lit up the darkest corner of the pub. The chap seating guests was also cheerfully honest, giving us a heads-up about various supply issues. Fair enough—these are tricky times, and we appreciated the honesty. However, once seated, it felt as though the sunshine abruptly disappeared. Other staff seemed, well, actively allergic to joy. We tried to keep spirits high and give them the benefit of the doubt—maybe someone had just mentioned the energy bill. Then the food arrived. I ordered the turkey roast with pigs in blankets, which in theory should be the highlight of a Sunday lunch. What I got looked more like a cry for help wrapped in bacon. Instead of a couple of cheeky chipolatas, I was presented with a single oversized, pallid sausage swaddled in what I can only assume was an uncooked Duvet of Bacon. Visually tragic. Taste-wise, even more so. The parsnips were boiled into oblivion, the cabbage and leeks had texture somewhere between “still frozen” and “why are you doing this to me?”, and the mixed veg appeared to be on loan from a 1970s school canteen. As for the stuffing—it crumbled like my expectations. Dry, bland, and Paxo-like in the saddest way imaginable. I don’t take pleasure in leaving negative reviews, especially for local places facing a tough climate. But with a heavy heart and an even heavier stomach, I have to say this visit was a miss. The Ball and Wicket has potential—if the entire kitchen operation can take a leaf from the bright-haired server’s book and bring back some heart, flavour, and maybe a working oven, there's hope yet. Until then, I’ll be sticking to garden centre cafés for my Sunday roasts. NOTE: The photo I have included was taken from my partners plate, who chose to have the vegetarian, mushroom wellington. Needles to say, she did not manage to eat her vegetables.

Took our toddler to birdworld for a nice day after he’d been unwell and stopped at this pub on our way home. We just looked for the closest place to eat and it was only 2 minutes down the road and were delighted with how beautiful the decor is. Very clean and well looked after. The garden was nice too although they did say we couldn’t have food out there.. not sure if that’s a usual thing or just for today. Little bit disappointing as I get a bit anxious that my little one will disturb people in restaurant settings so prefer to sit outside when he’s in rebel toddler mode. This didn’t ruin anything for us though as the staff were very attentive and child friendly. As was their kids menu and more bonus points for their gluten free menu as I really struggle to find accommodating places when it comes to a Gluten Free 18 month old. Our food was really good as well and glad we stopped at this place rather than going somewhere else. Was lucky to find a lovely pub in a place we were in just for the day.

Fantastic food and helpful staff! We had the best roast pork and beef and a crispy, delicious fish & chips! The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant is tastefully decorated. We sat right next to the owner who was there with his family and came for a chat. A lovely gentleman who obviously cares about the business and its customers 🎩🍽. We would come back again. Best of luck to the Wheatsheaf!

This quaint eatery combines the tasty modern food of a gastro pub, with the cozy feel of small town British life. To any tourists visiting the Farnham area - this is your place to try out a Sunday roast. The Wheatsheaf Pub also boasts a lovely bar area, with warm fire places and is dog friendly! Overall, the service was stretched with a Sunday rush - but the food was nice, and the ambience was charming! Top Tips: -Cheese Souffle was devine -Pork belly was tasty -Be clear about how rare you would like your beef

One of the best Sunday roasts in Farnham. Very good quality, healthy portion with a good selection of veg at a reasonable price. Not often you can get a Sunday roast and a pint for less than £25, not one that tastes this good anyway

A Chef who really knows his food! Pepe the chef was amazing when we wanted vegan food. Despite there being none on the menu, Pepe came up with a whole bunch of choices. We choice Beetroot Wellington and it was absolutely delicious! Our family had the seabass and it was absolutely delicious too! Joanne did a wonderful job of looking after us and nothing was too much trouble! Dog friendly and lovely, highly recommended!

Dropped into this place for a Saturday lunch and was met by awesome staff. Couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating, very welcoming to the fact we had our dog with us too. I was in for some beer and some fries, the girl at the bar didn’t knew how to pour a proper pint. Also when I ordered fries she didn’t informed me that they were out of fries but ordered chips for me without informing me. Also, I have a pineapple allergy but no one even asked me for allergy, is that okay here. Well!!! I don’t know what to say. But I feel like I wasted my time here. Only good thing was the TV at-least I enjoyed watching a live cricket match.

The inn also features a newly renovated five-bedroom annexe called The Cottage, suitable for individual or group bookings. Its large garden includes a children's play area and an outdoor wood-fired oven, providing a perfect spot to unwind during summer afternoons.
Went for Sunday lunch and it was good with very tasty beef done as you like it. The nut roast option wasn't quite as special. Deserts were good although the gelaska isn't as frozen as an alaska so rather runny, however the Italian meringue was beautiful. Service is excellent and staff are very friendly

Had a one night stay recently at the Bel and Dragon. Manager was very welcoming. He was very kind and even upgraded our room to a suite-Austen though it was only a minor issue with our booked room’s cleaning service. Room was immaculate and antique with old English style decor. We enjoyed the complimentary gin and coffee/tea in the room. Breakfast was quite delicious with locally sourced food. Staff were very polite and friendly. Overall had a great experience.

Our wedding anniversary, thought we would try a different place, after coming across this pub in the summer and enjoying drinks in the garden. We took our dog, water bowl at the ready for him which was all very promising, however things sadly went downhill from then on in. Sat for 15 minutes with no drinks order taken, finally ordered food and drinks and the food was very disappointing. Steak burger was mainly enjoyed by our dog as the steak was so fatty it was inedible, and the cod with a side salad looked like basic salad leaves from a bag with no dressing. Prices are above average but quality way under par. We did mention about the steak when asked how everything was when paying the bill and said that our dog was very happy but us not soo much and were offered a complimentary dessert but declined as we had paid and were ready to leave. We come home disappointed and still hungry. Never felt so ripped off . I would usually only give good reviews when warranted and would never give a bad review but felt the need to on this occasion as prices do not reflect the poor service and quality of food. Such a shame.

We visited The Castle for a Sunday roast and had an incredible experience! It gets busy quickly, so we had to book in advance, but it was well worth it. The food was 10/10—I ordered the all 3 meats roast, and every bite was delicious. If you can't decide on just one meat, I highly recommend going for the mix! Lovely pub, had the midweek special of 2 courses for £17.95 - very reasonable. Goats cheese tart was lovely and cheesy, pork medallions were well grilled, bordering on too tough but still nice and meaty. Could do with more sauce but excellent for the price these days

Lovely atmosphere and great garden to relax or let children play. Staff is also friendly and helpful. However, we found the food to be very average (roast, lunch or dinner) and quite expensive for what you get.

We had a family gathering in one of the special rooms upstairs. They were very very busy, not enough serving staff, to deal with downstairs, and the function rooms upstairs. Although very polite, service was slow. The food was not good. ! Very little veg, and a cheesecake that was frozen in the middle. But the function room upstairs was gorgeous … just a real shame the food spoiled it !

The Farnham Beefeater, a delightful establishment, is an excellent venue to celebrate special occasions. The ambiance is pleasing and the eatery maintains impeccable cleanliness. This was a really nice place. We attended to celebrate somebody's birthday and it was a highly enjoyable evening. The restaurant was very clean, the food was lovely and the members of staff were friendly. We were greeted warmly and quickly by the members of staff. The menu had some lovely items. I recommend the cannelloni. The portion size was adequate and was nicely presented. The young lady who assisted us was lovely and had a great sense of humour. She appeared to be in her early twenties, had dark hair and I really want to thank her because her attitude helped to contribute to a lovely evening. I recommend this place.

Went for Sunday lunch having managed to secure a late booking. The Sunday lunch was lovely and generous, the burger looked nice and the menu was typical Beefeater Fayer. The children's menu was exceptional value (£5.99 for 3 courses) although it would be nice for an option for bigger children). Desserts were delicious.

We had a great evening to celebrate a couple of family wins. We ordered the chicken/rib combo, burger and curry. All exceeded expectations. The chicken rib combo was far bigger than expected, chicken was moist and ribs meaty and fell off the bone. My son devoured the burger and my husband really enjoyed the curry. The waiter was attentive and bigged up the cocktail waiter, who made wonderful cocktails 😍 value for money evening out, good food, can't fault it

Had the pleasure of dining out here on the eve of Friday 3rd Dec 6pm. Their were two of us. We both throughly enjoyed our evening. Since Covid times, dining out has been alot more of a privelage, so we were looking forward to our evening out and had maybe somewhat high expectations. We were greeted at the door by a member of the management team who was courteous, polite with a great personable way & sense of humour who showed us to our table, a partioned booth, which was comfortable and secure. Although it was a busy Friday eve it was not too crowded. We had drinks, one of which was a very tasty seasonal cocktail :-) We had a few questions about menu offers and choices which another manager Oscar assisted with, extremely courteous and professional, we felt our level of service was in great hands. We had a starter, Prawn and Salmon cocktail, a Christmas dinner & Salmon encroute for main and a Churros Sundae 🍨 for dessert. All things considered on a 70% busy Friday night, Atmosphere, Service and Food quality were all really good, it was a pleasure to visit Beefeater Farnham, Well Done Oscar and All Your Team, Thank You for a lovely pre Christmas festive dining eve out, we will return👍😊🍽🍹 ☆☆☆ UPDATE ☆☆☆ After visiting again on 16/08/22, Although the Manager Oscar has now moved on, We still received great Service and Good - Very Good food, I must especially mention Florin 'Flo' Front of House & Sophie from Kitchen. Especially, Flo's honest and no nonsense approach to Service was most welcome and Sophie's attention to detail with dessert, photo attached, was Superb, a la carte, standard...both Very Well done keep up the Great Work 👍 ☆☆☆☆☆

Lovely, very small pub near Farnham with a surprisingly good menu and very well cooked food. Booking is essential as the place is very small. The decor is very quaint, it's clearly several hundred years old and tucked away from the main road. There is next to no 4g coverage and the bar proudly displays a sign saying that they do not have WiFi, it's somewhere to unplug! The food was a real surprise, we had Cote de Boef with triple cooked homemade chips and it was excellent, I highly recommend it if it's on the menu when you visit. There is parking outside, which is free.

A beautiful, cosy pub with an amazing Sunday roast! Veggies cooked beautifully, and the meats cooked just right. The staff are all really lovely, too - all rushing around to make sure guests' needs were met. Myself and my partner managed to get in without booking, but the pub was quite busy, so booking is very much advised. We sat outside, and got a lovely view of the pub's two donkeys - Pip and Ben. All of the staff know about the donkeys, their history and their temperaments. These two sweet donkeys appear really well cared for - owners could be heard talking about veterinary care previously provided for the donkey they sadly lost in 2020 during a lockdown, specifying the importance of donkeys having a companion after one passes, and overall sounding really very knowledgeable. Me and my partner WILL be back!

So glad I finally went here. The food was fantastic, it's not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. I had a steak sandwich with salad (forgot it's actual name), OH had a donkey sandwich. £8.50 each, chips £2.50. Well worth every penny, two huge chunks of steak on mine, the chips were massive, like roast potatoes. Lovely place, friendly staff, beautiful little country pub. Looking forward to going back and trying more food.

What a lovely pub! We were walking in the area and chose The Donkey for our meal afterwards. The food was excellent! I had the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado salad, which came with home made chips and was the best I have ever had! Absolutely delicious! And the added bonus was that the chef was a Brighton and Hove Albion supporter! Up the Albion! The Pork Belly with fresh vegetables, Risotto and Fish and home made chips were also great so if you are in the area go there. Lovely friendly staff too and 2 donkeys in the garden. Thanks to all concerned!

An ideal spot for lunch with a great range of options for all requirements. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young kids, I can't fault the staff who were attentive to all our parties requests and great with the little humans. Looking at other dishes coming out of the kitchen they also looked great. I would love to have given this place five stars but the price point of the roast dishes felt a little high, the advertised 20% off not covering weekends isn't obvious at time of booking and pre-ordering and there was no mint sauce available for a roast!

We were a group of three that went for Sunday lunch. We were told there was a large group of 30 at 3pm and to come for 4pm so as to avoid the large group. When we arrived at 4pm we were told we might have to wait for our order due to the large group sucking up kitchen resources. We all had the roast beef, which was generally good - nice roast potatoes - meat quality acceptable. I don't personally like mashed parsnips and prefer roasted, but that was a minor complaint. The main issue I had was with the overbearing passive aggressive service. When the bill was due, the waitress stood over me and said 'I suppose you want me to leave' while covering her face with her hand to avoid any comment or eye contact - the experience was strange to say the least. We felt as though we were being spoken to like we were children the whole time and certainly didn't feel welcome. This is another pub that automatically adds 12.5% to the bill for service. We begrudgingly paid the extra, to avoid a scene, but given the above, were not particularly overjoyed. We have decided to not return as there are plenty of other similar offerings to try around Surrey.

We loved it here! We had a weekend away to celebrate our marriage and ended up coming here both nights. The restaurant was fantastic, would definitely recommend the rib eye! There was live music both nights which gave such a great atmosphere to the place. The cocktails were all phenomenal (pretty sure we worked our way through the entire menu!). Try the rhubarb martini! (See pics). Christian (one of the bar staff) was very friendly and great for drink recommendations, definitely a credit to the team! Although all the staff were very nice as well. If we're ever back in Farnham we will 100% come back here!

We kind of accidentally stumbled upon this place while in the area and decided to go in because it looks so nice from the outside (it's even nicer inside) lovely decor and atmosphere but most importantly amazing food & drinks! The hanging chicken & chorizo kebab was awesome and so flavourful, so was the coconut sweet potato pie! While all of this was absolutely delicious, nothing can compare to the cookie dough and ice cream combo (I picked the Oreo topping). Best dessert I've had in a long time! Our bartender was Dan and he was amazing and makes the best cocktails - he knows his stuff so definitely ask for recommendations if you're not sure what to order. Awesome experience overall and we will definitely be back!

Amazing, quirky and exciting! The staff were friendly and welcoming, regularly checking the table and providing a warm service. The atmosphere was great. The menu was modern, but exciting! The food tasted great and was well presented. Non alcoholic cocktail was tastey too!

Recommended by a friend ,we drove 1h to visit this restaurant and have lunch with friends. The place is really nice but there's a weird smell all over. Staff for friendly but service a bit too slow . Food was less than decent ... My steak tasted of iron (propably from the pan)...half of the order was wrong..kids gnocchi were so spicy they couldn't eat !!! The dessert never came ...so we left early!!

Absolutely lovely place. Went for an anniversary meal. Food was brilliant lovely decor and vibe nice and relaxed. It's easter weekend and they had live music playing downstairs which added to the atmosphere. Service was excellent as well, in the menu they say that they can whip you up a cocktail off menu and the smashed out some very nice sex on the beaches and woo woos. Will definitely be coming again!

The Botanist in Farnham is overall a great place to visit. The atmosphere is brilliant with a unique, quirky, hipster-esque kinda vibe. They have a casual downstairs area which is generally walk ins only, while upstairs offers further tables which are possible to reserve. They also have live music performances downstairs (which you can still hear in the background upstairs), which you can enjoy alongside a meal or even just a few drinks off extensive drinks menu, including some tasty cocktails. The Botanist is good for both couples & groups. For this particular visit my family & I went out for a meal, my sister chose the venue as it was her birthday. She had been before & thought it was great & so wanted to take the 3 of us there for her birthday (or more we take her). We were sat upstairs & initially were very cold as we were sat beneath tge aircon, we mentioned it to a memeber of staff who immediately went about finding a way to remedy it for us & offered us a table downstairs, but before we had a chance to decide the aircon was turned off & the problem was sorted. All the staff we emcountered were brilliant, but particular mention goes to our waiter, Toby. Toby was excellent at offering quality service as well as politely endearing my fussy family after a few drinks & positively contributing to our whole experience of the place. He perfectly executed a complex food order with great patience as well! He really made up for what the food sadly lacked. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Certainly a bit salty for our taste. Great ideas, but not great execution. But that could be a one off in the kitchen? I do intend to return, based on all other factors! Brilliant evening overall!

The Lost Boy is a cozy pub housed in an 18th century Georgian building, originally a domestic residence. Renamed after one of J M Barrie's famous characters, it offers breakfasts, grills, and pizzas along with Sunday roasts. The facade still retains many original features from its construction era and has been sympathetically restored. Part of the Red Mist Leisure group, this establishment takes inspiration from the visits of JM Barrie to the area.
'Hannah was an absolute dream waitress from start to finish - as our table had lots of allergies , she had gone through the menu beforehand to help with what would be most preferable- checked with chefs to suit our needs & even had a starter amended for my mum! she checked in throughout the entirety of the meal and made our dining experience Uber enjoyable! Having worked in hospitality before - I understand how full on it can be , especially on a Sunday lunchtime! so a massive thank you to Hannah for making our lunch so much fun! would definitely come back purely just from the service provided!! side note - food was absolutely superb and the best roast I’ve had in a while!

A lovely warm sunny day so we chose to sit under canopies in the garden. We booked but needn’t have done as on the lovely Monday lunchtime in August in was nice and quite. Table service for inside dining and bar service to dine outside. Mozzarella and meatball pannino with Lebanese fries. The food was lovely, although you do have to eat the sandwich very quickly as the base will go soggy. The fries were to die. The building inside is split into little nooks and crannies making it a more pleasant ant personal experience. The staff were lovely, the food was good and the pub itself is beautiful. We will be back.

came here for father’s day and unfortunately left not getting our meal. the first round of food came out and the bacon looked like it had been cooked on a radiator, beans where freezing - stone cold. then they took the food away and promised we would have the food back in 5-6. minutes by the manager, then she came over again saying it would be 10, then again she said we shouldn’t bother waiting and go somewhere else. we in all waited a hour and 45 minutes for a basic breakfast - lots of free tablets and didn’t come across extremely busy. such a shame as i’ve been there before and was so nice and food was lovely , wouldn’t recommend coming here for any event. really disappointing.

Family party of 8. The pub had just passed to new management we were told so a few menu items were not available. Our server was very friendly. One order was wrong and another was missing an extra but this was soon remedied. I had a pizza which was truly excellent. Parking was easy nearby. Pub was comfortable. Would recommend and go back myself.

I do not normally write reviews but I thought I would on this occasion. Recently had an evening meal and ordered the chicken and ham hock pie, was very disappointed. The pie was very small, served in the sized dish as the chips. Not at all what you would expect. Due to its small size there was not much pie filling either. We waited too long for our food to arrive. I was not overly impressed with the service. The waitress also, at one point during cleaning another table, walked on the bench seat in her trainers, where a customer is going to sit. That is not good. I did enjoy the background music. I shall not be going here again.

Excellent food, small portions for sharing available. I tried different ones and it was all delicious. Cold drinks and a big plus for selection of non alcoholic beverages even it's a pub. The Queen's Head is a charming and cozy pub, characterized by its classic red-brick exterior. It offers a diverse menu of delicious dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients. What sets this pub apart is its impressive range of vegan options, as highlighted by a sign boasting that 50% of the menu caters to vegans. One standout dish is the BBQ halloumi sandwich, featuring vegan halloumi, jackfruit bacon, hash browns, spinach, and caramelized onions.
What a place! Highly recommend! I came for dinner as staying in the area for work. The pub was warm, had great buzzy vibes and welcoming staff. It was quiz night so super busy full of locals and everyone was well looked after. I order the beef and red wine pie with mash. Initially I thought it was a little pricey at £21 however when it turned up I could see why. The pie was huge and truly the most comforting dish and so filling. Big chunks of steak and great flavour. Farnham has so far impressed with the food on offer and this pub is not one to miss!! Defiantly visiting again and may even do the quiz next time too!

Sensational. It's easily the best I've had, and deserves its number one spot on my list of local pubs. Great service from start to finish. The person who took our reservation over the phone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we received a warm welcome when we arrived. At first glance, roasts seemed a bit expensive, however, the exceptional quality and the inclusion of cauliflower cheese made it clear that it was actually fantastic value. The food was truly outstanding. All set in a cosy atmospheric old English pub. There was a bit of a wait for the roast, but it was worth it. The beef was incredibly tender and succulent, and the Yorkshire puddings were delicious. The roasted broccoli and carrots added beautiful colour to the plate. The roast potatoes, however, were the real showstopper. They were extraordinarily crispy on the outside and perfectly light and fluffy on the inside – simply stunning! Highly, highly recommended.

Simple food at a local pub. Went for Monday lunch - my uncle had fish and chips and I had a steak sandwich. Lovely staff - and location. While the steak sandwich tasted alright I wouldn’t call it a steak sandwich but rather a burnt end bits from a Sunday beef roast. I think they even labelled it fillet steak which was obviously not true. No matter how much other sauce you put on in the sandwich you can still tell it was kinda dry old bits of beef. Change the name to a beef sandwich…

1st visit: Great pub, so many vegan options. Something for everyone! Service was great, quick and attentive. 2nd visit: Came here for my anniversary with my husband and had a delicious vegan roast dinner! I have to say, it’s probably the best vegan roast I’ve ever had in a restaurant. They made such an effort, everywhere else just gets something pre-made for the vegan main but this was obviously home cooked. I also tried to sticky toffee pudding which was so good! 😍

My first time visiting the pub and from the moment we walked in we were greeted by lovely staff behind the bar and a lovely atmosphere. Considering we arrived 30 minutes before the kitchen closed on a Sunday the roast was hot, tasted fresh, a generous portion and one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I have to mention Else who was a gorgeous presence in the pub and provided everyone with excellent attention. Would definitely go again.

I stopped in for a light dinner and was not disappointed. Service was on point throughout the meal. The pork cheeks were delightfully tender and the sauce plate-scrapingly good. I added the sticky rice to round out the dish, and this proved to be the perfect accompaniment. The dessert, although tasty, was not what I expected when I ordered a Salted Caramel Soufflé as it was not a soufflé but rather an ice cream sandwich type thing. They should change the description to be more apropos and not disappoint anyone who is waiting for a warm soufflé. (My absolute favourite dessert.)

The Six Bells is a lovely local pub which is great for all the family (including dogs!) it's located across the road from the petrol station just off the Farnham side of the six bells roundabout, and has it's own customer car park. We've visited the Six Bells a few times and it's always been wonderful. They offer a range of fun events such as live music and quiz nights! We did a quiz recently and it was great fun, lots of banter and entertainment with everyone involved. Jay, the owner, runs the quiz and makes sure to get everyone involved and having a laugh. There was a raffle and prizes, with the money raised going to charity! Definitely something we would like to do again! The pub has outside seating with an undercover section and also a function room for parties and events. Overall a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and a fun night out!

What a gem this place is! We booked the function room for my Mum's 90th birthday celebration and it was perfect for the occasion. The food was great party finger food and there was so much we had to ask for doggy bags to take the excess home. The team were great and friendly, allowing me to borrow one of the chef's knives to cut the cake (don't tell the chef....). There was also a great outdoor space for the youngsters to 'chill' in away from the boring grown ups. Highly recommended for a good, relaxed family celebration.

Sunday Lunch . We wete a party of 6 split (2bills) both ordered one after each other .1st tables food arrived after a long wait 30+ minutes. By the time they had eaten their meals the other tables meals still hadnt arrived. Once meals arrived ,the meals were very nice and lots of veg and meat. We ordered deserts but after 20 minutes we gave up and asked for the bill. Discount was offered and taken off the bill. What a shame as the pub is very nice and staff very friendly working under pressure from the kitchen. Not sure what went wrong ,too many orders/small kitchen not enough kitchwn staff. I think you need to be upfront and as people order tell them there is going to be a wait of up to an hour etc and they can make their own minds up. Food was very nice and good value just whole experiance spoiled by long waiting time. Would I recommend ..Yes hapoy to give them a go again ( be up front about times)

The Six Bells was booked for a large gathering after a funeral. They organised extra parking so it was really easy to get in. There were plenty of really friendly, caring staff so there weren't any queues for the bar. The food was absolutely lovely, and kept being replenished all afternoon. The person we were celebrating was the king of parties, the staff here did him proud. We don't live particularly near, but will definitely be coming back to try a meal. Lovely place.

I got married close to Farnham on the weekend and we decided to have some food and drinks at the Six bells the day before, and they went above and beyond for us! Their function room was fully booked, but they offered us the restaurant area instead which was fantastic, everyone loved the pub, food was amazing and they were overly accommodating, especially as there was about 40 of us! Nothing was too difficult for them, and we really appreciated it. Will definitely be back anytime I am in the area!

I came here for the first time with a group of 13 other Students for a birthday and ended up staying for Karaoke and the lovely atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly and dealt with our very awkward group wery well. The food was brilliant and was well worth the price as well as they had a great selection to choose from. As a student of the University, living in Farnham for the 3rd year of my course, I can positively say in my opinion that this is the best pub in Farnham; despite it being a bit of a walk from the university. The Atmosphere has that of a classic british pub where it feels more like a welcoming community rather than just somewhere to get a pint. And unlike other pubs in the area, my group didn't feel like a hinderance for being a large group of students. I also personally didn't feel like a hinderance for my disabilities and neurodiversity. I hope to have the oppertunity to come here more often throughout the year with some of our uni football team after practice for Karaoke on a Friday.

Good for late night beers. Decor looks like an airport departure lounge bar, TVs at every corner playing music videos from the 1980s. Takes an age to get served even when not very busy. Stays open later than most pubs in Farnham, so good for a drink after midnight.

Ordered king prawn and avocado salad, was served shimps in a pink mayonnaise sauce on some shredded lettuce. Pointed out to the server who was very polite and corrected my order to receive two tasteless king prawns with very little effort to dressing and one sliver of avo. Fair to say I would never recommend this otherwise quaint little place. My partner ordered the king prawn pasta which was very very fishy. Although he did enjoy it. But I think that because he was tipsy and hungry, opposed to quality from what I tasted. Also ordered a flat bread which was floppy and cheesy, may as well have been a toasted cheese. They didn't have any sweet chilli sauce to make it palatable. Left half of that. Such a shame because I do like the bar downstairs, the food is just very undesirable and looks nothing like what is pictured on their website. Later noted we were also over charged once home as I ordered a starter and got charged mains. It no wonder there is no wait for a table or need to book. Definitely give this place a big skip!

Had a nice little Sunday roast. The vegetarian option was really good which most pubs don’t focus on. We enjoyed our pork Sunday roast as well with generous portions. My mate had the curry and said it was great. Super friendly staff so what’s not to like?

Beautiful pub tucked out of the way along bat and ball lane. Dog friendly, they even had a jar of treats on the bar. I'm glad we booked because it started to get very busy with lots of dog walkers and ramblers. We had Sunday roast. All opted for the rather expensive beef. It arrived very well presented but not very generous portions. Beef was quite tough and chewy and we ended up giving quite a lot to the dog,so she loved it! Red cabbage, carrot, broccoli, Yorkshire pudding were all good and the roast potatoes were particularly nice. Unfortunately, we all had one very large, extremely hard parsnip that was horrible. I would happily eat parsnips that were so charred and burnt that you could also use them to etch a charcoal painting. However, underdone parsnips have no place on my roast dinner. The manager gave us some smaller better cooked ones after we simply had to say something. Overall, a warm, friendly pub with efficient service and great atmosphere but for the price, the roast is a long way off.

Great pub but inside could do with a little refresh as looking a bit tired, ie furniture and toilet areas. Outside has been tastefully updated. Lots of good beers to choose from but the food menu was very average. Service was good.

Edit: under new management, refreshed garden/patio area. A great pub all around. A good selection of beers and ciders (check blackboard for the extra ones they have round the back!) A great seasonally changing menu, mostly stays the same, but the specifics change every 3 months or so. Occasionally one season will be a bit of a miss though. Highly recommend their chocolate brownies, burgers are good, but not as good as before COVID. The inside is reasonably large, with a fireplace etc for those cold days. There is a largeish covered outside area as well as a smallish beer garden with kids play area. They also host a few charity beer festivals through the year with live music.

We decided to go again because we loved it so much, however, it wasn’t as good the second time around unfortunately. We also had to wait quite a while for a table even though there was hardly anyone there haha. One of the waitresses did explain to us that they were short staffed so longer service was understandable. Overall we’ve had lush food both times and would probably go again!

That’s gold. Friendly service and tasty food, beautiful building. The Sticky Pig was amazing. We operate 2 pizza restaurants. I love it when I go out anywhere in the world, and get outstanding pizza. Loved the rustica base. Pro tip - the honeycomb cheese cake is bloody epic.

Glorious sunny August day but the outside tables looked too grubby to eat at. The drinks menu had no alcohol free wine or spirits (informed they used to have 0% gin but no longer), such a shame. We opted for sparkling water! The staff were all pleasant. Our party opted for the classic pizzas and a sharing board. All of it was delicious.

This is my mum and I’s second time at Zizzi’s in Farnham. First time round really wasn’t good due to the pasta tasting like chemicals and washing up liquid, however this evening was impeccable. The food we had was amazing and really enjoyed it. One thing we do have to say though, is that both times we went we had Lucas as our waiter. He always presented with a smile and was so kind about anything. He wasn’t only nice with us, he was lovely with others too.

We had a fantastic experience at Zizzi’s today, thanks especially to Clara who looked after us. She had excellent knowledge of allergens and made us feel completely at ease when ordering. The food and drinks were amazing – the garlic bread was delicious, the bruschetta was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the spaghetti pomodoro was simple but full of flavour. The aubergine meatball vegan pizza was a standout, especially with the garlic alioli dip on the side. Clara’s service was very attentive throughout, and the whole meal felt like excellent value for money. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Nestled in a charming village, The Bluebell is a delightful rustic pub that offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for any occasion. With its selection of cask ales and a menu featuring hearty options like ploughman's platters, burgers, and traditional Sunday roasts, it caters to both casual diners and those looking for something special. Families will appreciate the spacious garden complete with play areas for children, making it an ideal spot for gatherings.
We recently booked a table here for our daughter’s 30th birthday. The Bluebell is such a warm, cosy and great atmosphere place to go with wonderful caring and friendly staff who cannot do enough to make you comfortable and happy. Lucy allowed me to decorate the table and was so kind and helpful with assisting me. She went above and beyond to make sure my daughter’s evening was special and I was so grateful for that. Would highly recommend this wonderful pub and restaurant 🤩

Lovely and quiet on this Wednesday evening. The menu isn’t big but the food is fresh and cooked for you. The staff were attentive but not overly. A beautiful village, country pub complete with its own goats. Sadly our visit seemed to align with bed time so I missed them, but the venue and the food were enough to make us want to return when the hosts are awake. Booking is essential. Well worth a visit with a big beer garden with areas for sun and plenty of shade. The loos were basic, nothing special. I think it may have been a while since the toilet window was closed as the ivy is well and truly established. It adds to the ambience. We will be back.

This stunning pub is nestled in picturesque surroundings and boasts a spacious garden with ample seating. The Sunday roast is not only delicious but also generous portions and excellent value. Good service to boot. Been back a couple more times to try other things from the menu. The Philly steak sandwich and crab salad are really good. Highly recommend.

Remarkable 150 year old pub, down a quiet country lane, that used to be a bakery for the village of Dockenfield. Good selection of beers and a good food menu. Plenty of seating inside. Very popular with a large car park. Apparantly unusually quiet when we visited on a very hot Saturday afternoon. Huge garden area and covered outdoor area with plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely pub/restaurant. Food very nice and plenty of it - options available for food allergies for starters and mains. Allowed us to bring our own birthday cup cakes as we needed dairy and gluten free. Staff very attentive without being overly so, therefore service very very good. A Friday evening so car park very busy - needed to park at the back on the grass. Dog friendly and easily accessible for wheelchairs/buggies. Our table had very little light as we were in-between the wall lights, could have done with a table lamp. Menu stated GF curry came with a Naan but not the case as not GF. A nice country lane pub

Had a last minute Sunday roast here and me and my dog were made very welcome. The food came swiftly and it was gorgeous! Generous portions of everything including the delicious beef, and lashings of gravy, which so many pubs get wrong 😜

I would have given a 5 foe the food but even though booking was given 3 weeks in advance there was no chicken left for 3 people so I'd have thought better planning would have been in order. Anyway the food was fantastic with huge portions (we had seconds next day for dinner) albeit quite slow. The service however was impeccable. I dont think I've been somewhere in UK where every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The entire team were a joy to be served by and couldn't do enough for us. I think their 10% standard service charge on bill well undercuts the great job they did. The hilly goats were an added charm for little ones. Pub was busy with a great vibe and we had a great time. Parking could have been a big more spacious however.

Had an amazing time at the Bluebell Pub! The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, really good quality and served at just the right pace. I couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere to spend my time in. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great service, tasty food, and a warm, relaxed vibe. Will definitely be coming back!

The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering options; from a standout Caesar salad to delectable pulled pork burgers, every dish is crafted with care at prices that remain incredibly reasonable.
Food is incredibly tasty, can’t recommend enough. Priced very reasonably, we had a huge Caesar salad and pulled pork burger, both were great but the honestly best Caesar I’ve ever had! Staff were really friendly and they also didn’t turn us away when we arrived two minutes before the kitchen closed - on a Sunday. Go - you won’t be disappointed!

I've been coming to this cafe for breakfast and brunch for years now. The food is great, and the pricing is extremely reasonable, and hasn't increased over the last three years or so. Nelson Arms is a charming 16th-century tavern, boasting crooked walls and ceilings adorned with low beams. This quaint establishment serves local ales and offers standard fare. Its ambiance effectively transports patrons back in time to the Elizabethan era. The attentive wait staff, particularly Joe, adds an extra touch of warmth to the experience with their charismatic and effervescent service. The food served at Nelson Arms exemplifies traditional pub grub but showcases a slightly refined twist.
Cool old pub. Stopped in to try their meat pie of the day. Sadly, they weren't serving food. We had a nice visit with a friendly bartender, though. The ale and cider were nice.

i mean what can i say? the nelson is a lovely pub with lovely staff and food. came at 3pm for a sunday roast with my partner. greeted by chris who led us to a gorgeous table and very promptly had drinks orders taken. we shared a bottle of rioja and it was lovely. had three courses each,! for starters we got the cauliflower fritters and the popcorn shrimp, both amazing choices and so crispy. i opted for the lamb roast dinner which was absolutely gorgeous and my boyfriend had the pork. the portion size was amazing and a side of cauliflower cheese was delicious! i had the sticky toffee pudding for desert and what a good choice that was! service was amazing; chris and harriett were stars, making sure we had everything we needed and were perfectly okay with everything. both a real asset to the team and made our experience a10/10 ! big shout out to carl the chef!! what a beautiful meal he puts together

The Caesar salad was overly seasoned and the taste of the dressing was overpowering. My husband even found a dead caterpillar in his plate. We asked to order another dish, but since it was the end of the chef’s shift, that wasn’t possible. In the end, we agreed not to pay for his meal.

Lucky Star is a hidden gem for authentic Chinese food! It’s usually very quiet when dining in, but it’s absolutely worth visiting—especially on Sundays for the buffet. We always go all in on the starters, getting a mix of everything before moving on to the duck and pancakes, which are always perfectly cooked and delicious. The food arrives hot and fast, and the staff are super kind, always on hand for refills or clearing up. We’ve been coming here for years and will definitely keep coming back! Highly recommend.

I went with my sister 2 hours ago to get a takeaway, just interested in chinese for my family. The staff were quite nice except a lady with glasses giving my little sister rude looks. The food was around 10/15 mins. We ordered the chicken chow main, sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice. When we finally ate the chicken chow main it was the nicest thing out of the three but was quite dry. The fried rice was not nice at all along with the sweet and sour chicken. If tasted like something was off and left a weird after taste in our mouths, I am not coming here again! Due to the amount I spent and how much I love chinese food is the reason why i’m reviewing, for others coming to uni and trying new places in Farnham just look out.

Went to the Lucky Star for the first time yesterday… we only went for a takeaway, but we’re so impressed with the service and the restaurant ambience that we will definitely be coming back for a sit down meal. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, which was excellent! Superb, top quality cuts of meat, cooked to perfection, at 61 years old I would say that the aforementioned, all combined to make one of the best Chinese restaurants I have had the pleasure to experience. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

While some guests have noted that portions can be on the smaller side for the price, many rave about the quality of the food and attentive service from friendly staff members like Malachy and Jenny.
Rating: ★★★★★ Had an amazing experience at this Greek/Turkish-inspired spot! The food was absolutely packed with flavor. We ordered a mixed platter that came with juicy grilled meats, charred green peppers, fluffy flatbread, and an awesome variety of sauces. Every bite was rich, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. There was also this baked dish on the side the chilli chicken topped with crunchy cabbage and herbs—so good. The bulgur salad was fresh and zesty, and the fries were crispy and golden, just how they should be. Loved the extras like pickles, lemon, and pickled onions—they really rounded everything out. Drinks were a hit too. The espresso martini not only looked cool with the restaurant’s name on top but tasted smooth and perfectly balanced. The latte had beautiful art and was creamy and strong—great quality coffee. Staff were friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and the presentation of everything was spot on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding food and exceptional service! Every team member who looks after your table goes above and beyond and the rustic, cosy décor makes the whole experience even more inviting. I’ve been coming here since it first opened. The service has always been top-notch but in the past, I felt the food was good rather than memorable. Recently, though, things have truly been elevated — the new head chef is clearly making his mark and the dishes are now outstanding. Well done to the whole team 👏🏼

I don’t often give reviews as they are just somebody else’s opinion. I don’t know who left the review or why. However, That said, I have stayed at this hotel so regularly over the last two years for business (for context I spend 22 out of 30/1 days a month on the road) and from my first stay to my current visit I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. In fact I have been so regularly and so very impressed that to not leave a review now would be letting down this particular and exceptional hospitality team . Every one of them (too many to mention individually) have made me feel like I was at home, when I was not. Honestly you cannot put a price on that. So, my review is as follows:- Thank you so much to you all -for the breakfasts, the steaks, the beers and the caring way you have looked after me so often and for so long! - you can make your own mind up whether to stay or not, this is just my humble opinion.

I ordered Caesar salad, potato dippers and Brussel sprouts. After waiting for delivery for 2 hours (which is not the restaurants fault) I decided to get to the restaurant myself. Shortly, I got my order, opened the package at home and… The Caesar Salad was missing croutons and the dressing. The potatoe dippers didn’t have cheese and the dip as advertised, they were burned, soggy and unseasoned. And in the restaurant they told me that they don’t have the brussel sprouts (so I had to get my money back on Deliveroo) This whole order was 25£ and judging on the food alone (not the delivery which disappointed me as well) It is painfully mid. I know the food doesn’t always look exactly like on pictures but… honestly isn’t it embarrassing?

Farnham Tandoori is an Indian restaurant known for its bright, traditional-style dining room and classic cuisine. The owner's introduction of the Naga chilli has been particularly well-received by those who enjoy a spicy kick in their dishes. In addition to its dine-in service, Farnham Tandoori also offers a takeaway option.
Great for dine in and take away. Food quality very good with wide variety of dishes and generous portion sizes. Take away orders easy to make by phone with pickup pretty well always 20 minutes. Always ready on time.

We had a bland, overcooked mush of a vegetable dish and a bland but nicely cooked lamb dish. It was the lack of aromatics and fresh herbs that really let the meal down. The vegetable samosa to start tasted like something bought from Iceland. I've certainly had better food here before but it was on this occasion that I was taking pictures. The naan was nice though.
Zar — Google review
Have been coming here on and off for years, always usually a solid choice for your typical Indian restaurant and pretty good value. So last night I had amongst other things the Chicken Pathia which I love, but was disappointed to find that the chicken pieces were so tough and very chewy. I tried my mates chicken dish and his was fine. I didn't bother saying anything until we'd finished because I didn't really need the dish replacing. When the plates were cleared I explained the problem and left it at that. There wasn't really an apology which is fine, but was met more with a curious reaction instead. The bill was brought over and he just explained that he had taken half the price off the bill for the Pathia. I think I was actually so surprised it felt like a joke and stunned me into silence. It was also my Birthday so was being treated, and didn't make an issue out of it. I've never had that happen in all my years of eating out. I just can't get my head around the audacity of charging even a penny for a ruined dish. Usually you'd expect an apology and a free coffee etc. but to charge half price for eating one single piece of tough chicken??? Sadly I'm not sure I'll be returning again after such greed.

The Indian restaurant never fails to please. The last time my friend and I went we each ordered a curry, rice, and naan and it turned out to be way too much food for us. We felt bad that we had left so much of it uneaten so this time we ordered one of each and shared. The portions were perfect, the food was excellent and the service was great. We will continue to go back every time we're in the area.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, The Darjeeling in Farnham is definitely worth a visit. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a farewell gathering there with 20 friends, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the staff managed our large group. Our food and drink orders were accurate and served promptly, making for an enjoyable evening. While some may find the portion sizes slightly smaller than other Indian restaurants I've visited, the flavors more than made up for it.
Nice popadoms, not quite enough chutney, but the chicken jalfrezi was perfect - great heat, not overdone with the chillies, and plenty of meat and a decent sauce. As a big group we were well looked after, the staff were attentive and polite and overall a great night out, definitely coming back again (Even though I may have been years ago but just can't remember that far back! :D)

Pleasantly surprised by Darjeeling in Farnham. 20 of us visited for a college’s leaving bash and the he service was spot on considering we were a large crowd. Drinks and food orders were accurate and served promptly. The only slight criticism was that I thought the portion sizes were a little small compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot. Would recommend this restaurant in Farnham.

We were a large group & they catered for us well. Service was reasonable, but I did find the staff rather abrupt. The food was very pleasant - our group ordered a variety of dishes, which all looked great. However, I was shocked that my soft drink (a pint of soda water & lime) cost more than a cider, small beer or 125ml glass of wine. In fact it was only 25p less than a large cobra beer! I have never been charged £6.25 for this drink & quite frankly was appalled that a soft drink was more expensive than alcohol! For this reason, I have given a 3 star review & sadly I won't be returning.

Shame, I’ve eaten here before and the food/service was good but last night was very disappointing. 1 hour 20 minutes we had to wait for our food and the restaurant wasn’t even full. The food when it arrived was warm and bland, no flavour at all. The waiters were all nice so no complaints there but no tip and we won’t be returning.

THE best Indian meal we’ve had in a long time, great flavours, and no excessive ghee. The house red wine was a Cote de Rhone and at perfect temperature. All reasonably priced. The service was friendly professional and slick.

Service good. Food was ok. The overall experience was completely overshadowed by getting the bill and seeing that a pint of lime and soda had cost me £6.25! Yes, you read that right!

Located in Farnham, Slug & Lettuce is a trendy bar known for its cocktail list and global classic menu. The contemporary decor sets the scene for an enjoyable time, whether it's for their bottomless brunch or a casual meal. Customers have praised the friendly and professional staff, with special mentions of Saff who made their experience truly memorable.
Carlos, absolute legend, best waiter in england. Do not close this slug and Lettuce. It is the best place close to Bordon.

Made us both ill. Stay away. The place is filthy, sticky tables and at the time we were there, there were no other customers. I have complained to Slug & Lettuce about us both feeling ill after having no breakfast, and eating the same meal in Slug & lettuce. We have different homes and so the only common denominator was our meal in slug and lettuce. After a couple of weeks of emails they send a cut and paste ‘legal’ email claiming they are not at fault. Don’t Trust Slug & Lettuce. We had the Caesar Salad, the chicken was very suspicious, it had been ‘cooked’ and cut long before we received it. The cut side had signs of being under a heat lamp. Parts of the chicken were cold. Even parts of the salad was warm and slimy. Weird. We regret eating it, but we regret more the Slug & Lettuce response. At no point did they express sorrow for our experience, they were only concerned about covering their back.

Nestled in the heart of Farnham, the Teller's Arms is a delightful new addition to the local dining scene, having transformed from a former bank into a charming pub. One of its standout features is an enchanting roof terrace that offers stunning views over the town, complete with a fully retractable roof for year-round enjoyment. The interior exudes character reminiscent of traditional pubs, featuring preserved elements like an old fireplace that adds to its charm.
come here very often for both food and drinks and each time the service and food has been exemplary. from the starters, to the cocktails, to the lively wait staff, nothing has anything been wrong. highly recommend the smocked mackerel pate, was absolutely delicious one of the best things on their menu. the drinks are always good, very decently priced too. love it here and will always be a loyal customer. two mains, two starts, two cocktails, came to about £74. can’t fault it.

The place looks great and very welcoming. The feeling is that you enter a movie set. Everything is designed precisely. The staff is very welcoming, pleasant, and service oriented. The food was nice. We had the chicken bites, a burger, hummus and kholorabi slaw. The burger was on the dry side. All the rest was good. Hence the 4 stars. All in all, I would recommend this place if you are in the area.

Tellers Arms offers a satisfying breakfast and lunch experience in a cozy, traditional pub setting. Their full English breakfast is hearty, with quality bacon, sausages, and perfectly cooked eggs. The coffee is strong, and service is friendly and quick. For lunch, the menu includes pub classics like steak , fish and chips, and burgers—all generously portioned and well-prepared. Specials change regularly, adding variety for repeat visits. Prices are fair, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether you’re after a casual morning meal or a solid midday bite, Tellers Arms delivers consistent, comforting food with genuine local charm. Highly recommended.♥️

We had some dinner for the first time at the pup we always come for a drink is such a nice pub. Although we had some fries with truffle oil that it didn’t have any flavour of truffle , they added more when we mentioned it but again it was oily no truffly no favour then we ordered the sharing plate with the steak and wild boar sausage for £68 but the presentation was a bit disappointing, for the price. I love the pup but the food was a bit disappointing but at least was tasty and well cooked with a nice atmosphere.

We went here for lunch, on a Tuesday, for the first time since the building has been refurbished. We liked the pub very much, reminded us of a traditional pub we used to go to when living in the London area. We knew the building as Lloyds bank and I was very pleased that some of the features had remained, especially the fireplace at the front with the words of caution above it, that used to be in the cash machine area of the bank. We had a good lunch and the service was fine. Good range of customers, some just drinking at the bar, others eating a meal, as we were. We will go again for a midweek lunch. we might try the Sunday roast as well.

Great location. Ordered a smash burger. It wasn't smashed. Was a cheap burger of the like you'd 'e xpect from a market trader/side of road type. Complained and was met with negativity. Chips were superb tho. And a nice pint of Neck oil almost made up for it.

Lovely dog friendly pub and great location next to canal. Good drinks selection but uninspiring lunch menu. Mac and cheese side was tasty and good value. Beer battered fish and chips was ok, nothing great and so too was the chicken and bacon salad . I liked the little doggy station and dog snacks . Popped in again. Great open baguette and ham egg n chips

I have much sympathy for the pub trade in these hard times but the Barley Mow doesn’t do itself any favours at all. Yesterday I ordered a baked potato with sausage and caramelised onions. I forget the price but it certainly wasn’t cheap. I don’t mind paying a good price, but not for poor quality food, and what I had was really poor. The potato wasn’t of a generous size, there was one medium size sausage cut into long strips and creamy mayonnaise instead of caramelised onions. Waitress to her credit acknowledged the substitute and bought out a small pot of cold caramelised onions, looking like the cat had been de-wormed. Really Barley Mow, you bought this one-star rating on yourself.

We stopped by for some drinks in the garden last Sunday. We finished our drinks and were a bit surprised to find that the whole place had been locked up and vacated by the staff. No word or mention they were closing, there were quite a few people still eating/drinking in the garden still. Not very welcoming, Its a shame as its a lovely spot to wander down the canal and stop for pint. Gets star back for serving Neck Oil.

The Bengal Lounge is a popular spot in the Farnham area, known for its delicious Indian cuisine and modern, clean ambiance. Customers rave about the flavorful dishes such as the Goan Lamb and Chicken Jalfrezi, along with tasty accompaniments like poppadums and chutneys.
A great sit down (and takeaway) Indian restaurant. It does most stuff pretty well, beating the other Indian restaurants I have tried in Farnham for quality. Has lots of parking as it's outside the centre of Farnham. Sometimes it's take away portions can be a bit smaller than it's taken away only competitors, although it does have a discount for take away orders (over £20 or something) I have had issues once or twice with things in small orders being overly dry when getting food out of peak hours, so it loses a star there unfortunately.

Great place to get some indian food. Place is clean and modern. Food tasted amazing. Just the garlic naan was soaked in the juices of about half a kilo of garlic. Our wee smelled of garlic for two days straight and don't ask about number 2.

What an excellent dining experience! We were a small party of four adults, two ordering starters and mains, two just mains. All of us ordered rice and naan breads. Not a single complaint or improvement. The food was generous in portion size, flavourful and cooked to perfection. The attention to detail showed as even the plain rice tasted excellent, fresh and just delicious. We all tried each others mains and we were all impressed by the depth and range of flavour. The naans were impeccable and obviously freshly made. Service stood out as excellent, with pleasant and humorous attentive service for the duration of our dining experience, and we did hang about for quite some time (sorry guys). A thoroughly impressive performance from start to finish from a beautifully appointed and very well run establishment. We will be back!

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant, I would genuinely struggle to put the issues into a single paragraph so I’ve decided to list them:- - When we arrived we patiently waited to be seen as the gentleman was on the phone, we had no issue with this, however when he came off the phone he ignored us and had to be asked by another customer to acknowledge us. Which he did in a grumpy and awkward manner. - We had our drinks order taken, initially no problem, my siblings ordered beers, I asked for lemonade and my mum asked for a rosé wine spritzer with lemonade. When the drinks arrived I was handed a coke, which I politely reminded was not what I asked for and the beverage was taken with no apology. My mum was handed a half pint of a clear beverage (clearly not a rosé spritzer) and when she questioned it was abruptly told there was no rosé wine and that she was instead given a white wine spritzer, again no apologies given. My mum decided to accept it as not to cause a bother however her and brother noted the beverage tasted like it had no wine in it. * I’d like to note that later on in the evening my mum ordered a glass of wine and was, ironically, given rosé wine. No explanation or apology was ever provided. - The food order went okay however when there was a bit of confusion, the gentleman who took the order became very obviously agitated and was quite rude. - Some of the food was not brought out at the same time as the rest (naan's and a second vegetable curry dish), again we would have forgiven this as we were told, repeatedly (and rudely), they were busy however upon gathering querying the whereabouts of the second curry dish we were told - “Another vegetable curry!?” Followed by a dramatic flailing of the hands and a loud sigh. - Throughout the evening most of the server’s attitudes were curt, abrupt and made us all incredibly uncomfortable. There was a lot of sighing, raising of hands and just a general lack of professionalism. We were told it was because they were busy but if I’m being totally honest, the place wasn’t even remotely full and even then, their attitude wouldn’t have been appropriate. - By the end of the meal we were ready to sprint for the exit. We requested the bill and after some confusion (I think they got ours and another tables bills mixed up - again no apologies) we received the bill for the meal. Ironically, the gentleman who had ‘served’ us went through tipping amounts and said I can pay gratuity via card or with cash. I’m not joking! He literally leaned over me, pointing at the amounts I should add to the total, it made me very uncomfortable but fortunately my sister isn’t as easy a target as I am so she took charge. - We at least tried to end on a positive and say thank you as we left, but were ignored. I’d like to add that usually we try to address issues with staff as they come up as we understand sometimes staff can have a bad day/shift and may not mean what they say or how they act however all of us felt incredibly uncomfortable, stressed and anxious and did not feel confident addressing said problems. The only positive was the food, though I wouldn’t have said it was good enough to warrant the treatment we received. We will sadly not be returning, which is a shame as we used to love this establishment.
Sophie F — Google review
We’ve just collected a takeaway but unfortunately one item was missing. The restaurant wouldn’t deliver it despite it being their mistake. There was also a hair in one of the dishes and the naan bread was burnt on the bottom. Very disappointing and we sadly won’t be returning.

Very pretty restaurant and bar with outside courtyard. Has bottomless brunch which I've yet to try but would do as the food is great...but not cheap. Some small plates are £10. But it's perfect if you're group dining and sharing and a I'd say a win win if you're going on a date 😉. The drinks are delicious so cocktail vote is 5star. And the flavour mix brilliant. Stunning food presentation and our waiter was a gem! So yes...a good solid 5 from us.

We really enjoyed our meal at Bloom. The space is really nicely decorated and cozy. The cocktail list had a lot of nice options and the one we tried was very nice. Went to Bloom this afternoon for a Bottomless Brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The restaurant has a lovely feel and the service was friendly. However, we had to ask to order our food as no one came over and the dishes were brought out 2 at a time between 5 of us with 15 mins in between so the dishes went cold while we waited for more. We ordered chips and had to ask for them again as they started to take our plates away and they hadn't arrived. We realised once we'd paid the bill that the cauliflower dish we ordered didn't arrive. It's a real shame as the food was very tasty but the service could've been much better.

And that’s not having eaten here. It more represents the torrent of abuse I received from the ‘gentleman’ working there as I walked by with my dog. He went to wee on their sign but I promptly pulled away before he did so. I was therefore very surprised to be shouted at by said individual and told how I and the dog were disgusting. Charming individual. It may go some way to explain why there wasn’t a single customer in their establishment. Perhaps that’s how he treats his customers. Very much backs up what friends who have eaten there have said. Over priced, poor service and food which is about Italian as Mac Donald’s!! Plenty of other excellent Italians in Farnham though so no huge loss!! I’ll pop by tomorrow and check that video evidence out. Pretty sure I have a good recollection of events. Plus my point was your aggressive nature which I see you’ve not commented on!

I come to eat at Massimo’s often and have just noted this disingenuous review regarding the dog urinatingand feel compelled to defend the restaurant from this unnecessary attack. I saw the incident in question and the dog most certainly did urinate on the sign which its owner must have noticed but proceeded to walk off. This man is a bare faced liar and anybody would have reacted in the same manner if their property had been urinated on with no apology forthcoming. We come often because the food, service and ambience are all excellent and can’t be faulted. It’s a pity that people like this dog owner feel the need to lie and attempt to hurt a small local business. There are cameras covering the area as part of the shop cctv and anybody can see how the incident played out.

WOW! We could not fault this beautifully decorated new restaurant - we were blown away! From the moment we entered we were mesmerised by the decor and attentive staff. We went to The Third Monkey to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is a fairly new restaurant and we wanted to give it a go as the menu looked interesting. The food was excellent, the service was great and it had a good range of quality wines. I can thoroughly recommend the Sticky Beef and Bone Marrow Eclair which was delicious. For main the monkfish was terrific; fresh and not overcooked. Not the cheapest place in town but the standard is high so definitely worth going for a special occasion.

They say good things come in threes — and that’s certainly true of The Third Monkey in Farnham. 1. The space is exquisite. It manages to feel both contemporary and warm, relaxed yet refined. Everywhere you look, there are thoughtful design details that make you want to linger — the lighting, the art, and (forgive me) the tiles in the loos were a personal highlight. 2. The food and cocktails are next level. The flavour combinations are clever and perfectly balanced. I highly recommend the crab and crumpet (yes, crumpet!) and the ribeye steak, which was so tender it practically required a spoon. The cocktails are far from standard in fact each one is a creative twist on the classics, taking a regular Negroni or Espresso Martini to new heights. 3. It’s a place you want to stay. So many dining experiences feel rushed, you know, in and out in 90 minutes. Our evening at The Third Monkey unfolded effortlessly, from relaxed cocktails in the bar to a beautifully paced dinner in one of the two dining rooms, capped off with a nightcap and a cool DJ set on the rooftop terrace. Farnham has been crying out for somewhere like this — I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve looked at all the reviews and here is mine!!! Don’t moan about young staff , instead engage with them, everyone has to start somewhere!!! They are polite and eager to please. The food is amazing and it’s quality over quantity!! If you are looking for a huge plate of food rather than a plate of perfection maybe this restaurant isn’t for you!! My second visit and I will be back. 🤩👏

A beautifully put together restaurant and bar that I will be returning to again and again. The food was delicious and it was refreshing to see such a varied menu, the taste did not disappoint either. Wine and cocktails were also delicious, would urge everyone to try the ‘Graveyard shift’. Would highly recommend and we will be back soon.

We had such a fantastic time at The Third Money for our wedding anniversary. This is just what Farnham needs and deserves. An excellent cocktail bar, and beautiful food. The venue is gorgeous, spacious yet cosy. So much detail and care has gone into the entire finish. Two large bars, a fantastic DJ upstairs. The terrace looks lovely, but it was wet so we didn't sit outside. We enjoyed four cocktails each, we work in the industry so we are very selective/fussy and it was as though you were drinking from a top end London cocktail bar, very impressed! We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine with our dinner, which were also very nice, now I'm going to be stupidly picky here but the glassware for the cocktails were lovely but the wine glasses did not compliment the great wines, they were heavy and thick and felt cheap - just a no from me considering how much effort probably went into picking the wines. There was also an option to buy a bottle on the menu but because they were low on stock we were only allowed to buy it by the glass. I would suggest in an establishment such as this the stock count is improved, but of course they've not been open long so let's give them a chance to iron out any teething problems. This leads me onto the service, the attitude of everyone was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, however our starter took an hour to come out after ordering. Luckily we had ordered snacks for the table, and when it did arrive it was very well worth the wait. All the other courses came out quickly after that. The food was absolutely impeccable, beautifully presented, and very well cooked with incredible flavours. Definitely fine dinning without the stuffiness, and forward thinking dishes. Every single dish was just stunning. We had the bread, hash brown for snacks, tuna tataki, Turbot in Thai broth to start, monkfish and duck for mains, sticky toffee baked alaska and cheese board for dessert with dessert wine. I wish we could eat it all again!! It is spenny, however it was worth the price, you don't mind paying for quality and the whole experience was so very pleasant. Perhaps one small tip: when you walk in and your first stop is the bar and not the host desk, it would be nice to be greeted with a warm welcome, and acknowledged at the bar while waiting. Even if they can't serve you yet, just popping your head up with a smile to say hi and we'll be with you shortly goes such a long way. Appreciate it's a large venue and they are doing everything from scratch so they're busy. When we were served they were very friendly and chatty, so no complaints about the team at all, just a little tip for a welcoming first impression. It exceeded expectations and we will 100% be back for both food and drink, and we look forward to bringing friends and family too. So pleased we have this in our local area, just gorgeous! I didn't take enough photos, having too much of a good time!

We had an incredible dining experience at The Third Monkey in Farnham. The food was absolutely superb, innovative, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with passion. The menu offers a great variety, and every dish, from the starter to dessert, was beautifully presented and delicious. The atmosphere at The Third Monkey is what sets it apart. The stylish, smart interior creates a welcoming and chic vibe, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus, offering a fantastic spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. The service was top-notch - attentive, friendly, and professional. It made the entire experience feel special. We also loved the cocktails, and the ‘Silver Lining' is definitely worth a try! Whether you're local or just visiting Farnham, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be returning soon and can’t recommend it enough!

Incredible lunch here today with a friend! Service from Lucy and Tom was excellent, and the food was absolutely insane! We did the two course set menu and every item was delicious, I reccomend the mussels and the market fish! Cocktails were also 10/10. Definitely will come back, and definitely reccomend to everyone to give this a try! Thank you!

South Asian restaurant
Pipasha Churt is a delightful seafood restaurant that also features a cozy guest house, offering two ensuite rooms and one standard room with shared facilities. This charming establishment, once an old hunting lodge, has become a beloved dining spot for locals and visitors alike. Diners rave about the nostalgic touch of lime pickle served with poppadoms—a rarity in many places today.
We stayed at Frensham Pond & Spa Hotel found this Indian restaurant just 4 miles down the road. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Lovely fresh tasting food. Highly recommend. Free parking outside on the road. I would recommend the lamb Dansak. The poppadoms were very light and tasty chutneys.

Lovely meal during our short weekend away. This was such a great find. We were staying at Frensham Spa which was a short drive away. The food was excellent!!! The waiter was really good at recommending dishes. Our six year old son was also very impressed and was very full after the meal. Definitely would visit again.

Busy, loud and poor lighting. It took a while to be offered drinks after being seated. The food was quite nice except for my main of chicken biryani which I asked for added spice as I enjoy heat. There was no spice at all and the chicken was drier than Gandhi's flip flops; totally inedible. My naan bread didn't arrive either. By the time we were asked how the meal was my partner had finished and therefore too late to replace the abysmal biryani. Staff spent too much time attending to the regular customers rather than potential new ones, which is a shame as I have recently moved to the area and could have potentially been a regular there. 2 stars given rather than 1 as the rest of the food was fair and the biryani / missing naan were taken off the bill. Won't be returning unfortunately.

Another amazing meal at the best curry restaurant in Surrey. I am biased as I have been going here for 20 years but in the last few years I think everything has stepped up a level. We always have consistent quality dishes and incredible service. All restaurants have higher prices since the inflation factor has kicked in but I feel this is very good value for money. I can't wait to visit again!

It was nice to see a place that still does lime pickle with your poppadoms. Having come down from London it seems to be a thing of the past now but I enjoy it still. I had the Tandoori Trout, my girlfriend had the chicken passanda and we had the mushroom Bhaji, Aubergine bhaji and sag paneer. The tandoori trout was delicious and the passanda was lively too. The aubergine was cut a bit thick for me compared to the one we are used to so wasn't as nice as we normally like. All in all a lovely experience though. Felt neglected in terms of service a bit. Wasnt given any menus at first and they only realised when they came to take our orders and weren't overly attentive all night. I would go back definitely.

Coffee shop

Nestled in the heart of Farnham, The Gorge is a delightful café that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. On my first visit, I was greeted by friendly staff who provided attentive service while I enjoyed a delicious breakfast by the window—perfect for people-watching! The portions were generous and offered great value for money, making it easy to see why this spot attracts such crowds. I also joined friends here to celebrate a birthday.
We don’t often come to Farnham, but I’m so glad we did today (14th August) me, my son and his partner had some lovely food when we went into the cafe. Everything was cooked to perfection and the prices of the food were fantastic. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Farnham and looking for something that’s budget friendly :)

The service here is brilliant, always super kind staff and very fast service. The food is delicious! I’ve been here a few times recently and it’s one of the best places to go in Farnham. Very reasonable cheap prices too!
Bradley S — Google review
Went with a group as a treat for a friend's birthday. Food was nice (if a little on the pricer side) but there was very little I could eat due to dietary restrictions and allergies. Most things have all of the ingredients listed on the menu but not all of them which led to some confusion. Portion sizes were rather large unless you do what I did and order only a burger and most of my group struggled to finish their plates. We had reserved a table beforehand but unfortunately ended up seated not at the specific table that had been reserved for us due to it being placed smack bang in the center of the rather densely furnished seating area despite being notified that we would have a wheelchair user in our party. Too many tables for the size of the building, tables too close together. Staff were rather pleasant and mainly left us alone, which we appreciated but other may not. We went there on a Saturday afternoon so it was understandable that there were children there, but we constantly had them running past our table, near the opening to the kitchen.

Came here for the first time today. What a lovely place. We had a delicious breakfast. The service from quick. The waitress friendly and attentive. We sat by the window and enjoyed people watching while we tucked into our lovely breakfast. Very affordable and decent size portions.. really good value for money..the staff were busy but looked after you really well so you won't waiting long. Can totally understand why it was busy as our experience was great.

A welcoming English restaurant with breakfast and lunch options. They serve pretty much all of the traditional English breakfast options, with a few variations also. Some of the food comes unseasoned as is the case with a lot of English food, but it's well prepared enough that it doesn't feel off at all. You can also add salt and pepper to your taste. The prices are perfectly reasonable, so much so that you could come here semi-regularly if you're a local. Overall, a great place to have a relaxing meal.

Discovering this cafe has been a blissful escape. The welcoming aroma and polite staff create a warm atmosphere. The vegetarian burger with chips and a delightful hot chocolate make for a perfect indulgence. This hidden gem's serene ambiance provides a tranquil retreat, making this place my go-to haven for relaxation and comfort.

Always a great meal but what makes it even better is they always remember my husband and I even though it came be months since we went
Sarah R — Google review
I’ve been in this coffee shop a few times and it’s always been nice but today I had “homemade” lasagne and chips. Sadly it was very disappointing. The lasagne tasted like a ready meal swimming in a boiling hot greasy sauce and the chips were standard crispy fries with a weird after taste. I’ll continue to give them custom but I’ll stick to the coffee and lighter meals.

Thai restaurant
Nestled in a charming locale, The Sandrock is a delightful pub that boasts an ever-changing selection of real ales across two inviting bars, one featuring cozy sofa seating and a lovely beer garden. During my visit with friends, we were greeted warmly by the landlord who expertly guided us through the Thai menu—an exclusive offering at this establishment. While I wished for a broader range of lagers on tap, the friendly staff created an enjoyable atmosphere that made our experience memorable.
We had an Amazing time at the Sandrock. We sat in the bar and instantly felt at home. They even made the dog super welcome (in the bar) and got her a treat. The beer was cold, tasty and reasonably priced. The food was delicious - we have eaten a lot of Thai food and this was the best we have had in Surrey so far! The chef even took a bit of heat out of the red curry for me. We will definitely be back. Would recommend the veggie options especially 😋

Absolutely stunned, the duck spring rolls were the best I have ever had. The main courses of lamb shank and stir fried beef in oyster sauce were obviously cooked with passion. Recommend you visit and try the sumptuous food.

Can't fault the food or service. We were a large group (15) for dinner last week, all paid individually, and they were so happy to accommodate, food was spot on, waitress really was amazing !

Visited Sandrock with friends. We received a warm welcome from the landlord who explained the menu well. An excellent choice of Thai menu with recommendations from the landlord. I'd suggest a wider range of largers on tap. Just two were offered on the day. All the staff were very friendly and fun atmosphere. The darts area located next to the dining area which was fun to watch. Appreciate it wasn't everyone's cup of tea! The service was excellent although felt a little rushed to make choices. And the toilets were freezing cold but we had a fantastic evening.

It was a last minute decision to stop somewhere for late lunch and although it was out of their food serving hours they welcomed us and we were not disappointed!!!! Be prepared - there’s ONLY Thai food on the menu. Pub (drinks) and Thai restaurant are managed separately. The pub lady was lovely and patient with us. Food was very good, authentic and freshly prepared to a very good standard. We were 4 adults and 3 kids - everyone enjoyed and was every happy with quality of the food. If you like Thai cuisine it’s a nice place to stop and have a meal!

This is the best Thai in the area - better value and same quality as the other Thai joints closer to town. The same takeaway masterclass food can be enjoyed eating in and paired with some of the real ales on offer. Or just have a pint while you wait for your order..

I visited this Fullers pub on a Monday afternoon. There were 3 real ales on tap. Bright clean, well run pub. Inside was a couple of locals talking with the landlord, who was knowledgeable about the local area. I sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine.
Leslie C — Google review
Lovely little pub, but the recent decoration has ruined the feel and atmosphere. The dried hop blossom has gone from the bar, and the place is awash with 100W bright lights and even brighter walls. It's gone from a cosy boozer to having the atmosphere of an airport wetherspoons at 8AM. Turn down the lights!

I liked so much about The Hop Blossom. I dropped in for an impromptu pint. The beer was beautifully kept. I sat on a settee with the warm spring sun on my back. It was a moment of calm on a Saturday lunchtime.

It is what it is i.e. if you’re looking for buzz, excitement, massaging of the ego etc… jog on. However, if you're comfortable in your own skin, appreciative of an excellent pint, and open to interesting, quirky, and friendly interactions…… give it a go🙏💙✨

Despite having trip adviser adverts on their tables they made it very clear they do not like tourists. I thought it was a bit strange as it's a very nice venue but no smiles, I always take my glasses back to the bar when I leave as I'm civilised but only frowns. Later my wife told me that while I was in the washroom they said loudly in front of her " this is our place" so I would advise anyone visiting Farnham to frequent many of the other venues which are so much fun and way nicer.
