5 Stars all the way, great Crepe's friendly and efficient service. In the words of the Lady behind the counter making the Crepes (presumably the owner) "Everyone loves Crêpes!"

They gave us a table and after 10 minutes asked to leave as it was "reserved" by other people. They clearly made a mistake, but did not want to solve it. Very disappointed. This is not a way you should treat tourists!!

Great little crêperies, nested at the heart of Concarneau just across the magnificent old town and harbour. One cook to take care of all, and what a job she did! The service was top notched and food absolutely delicious. Bookings are a must as we were lucky to squeeze in on the sole unbooked table of the evening service. If you ever visit Concarneau and wants to taste the real stuff, you know where to head!

Only criticism was traffic idling next to the tables ,maybe they should ban cars from the Ville Close during lunch, Happily we returned this year and found a warm welcome and the same great sea food, the staff are as helpful as always, it's always busy, get in early for lunch or you may miss out, they do stop taking orders to allow the kitchen to catch up, good food worth waiting for a table .

Very cosy and charming restaurant. I greatly enjoyed the breton kit and coquille à la bretonne as a starter, it was delicious. The moules et frites marinère was good, but not so much the french fries (I guess I am too fond of the belgian way). Dessert also very tasty and light.

We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation, and it certainly lived up to expectations. From the original menu format to the exceptionally kind staff very attentive, taking the time to explain the menu — which was especially helpful, as our translation app wasn’t working well. Service was swift and efficient; we were seated and served in no time. We began with the grilled shrimp skewers and the vegetable salad. The shrimp were flavorful, perfectly salted, and juicy. While they may not have been freshly caught, they certainly didn’t fall short in taste or texture. The vegetables in the salad were fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor. Combined with the cheese, each bite was truly enjoyable. The savory crêpes stood out for their generous fillings and well-balanced flavors: • The sausage, ham, and bacon crêpe allowed each type of meat to shine without overpowering the others. • The scallop crêpe was equally satisfying, complemented beautifully by a mushroom sauce that brought the dish together. • The egg, ham, and mushroom crêpe was another highlight — the egg added a lovely richness and moisture. The buckwheat crêpe dough was excellent: crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, adding great texture to each bite. When it came to the sweet crêpes, the experience was slightly different. The dough didn’t have quite the same crispiness or flavor as the savory version, and paired with the very sweet apple filling, the overall result felt a bit too cloying. However, the flambé technique added a creative touch — not all the alcohol burns off, leaving behind a pleasantly rich wine-like flavor that elevated the dessert. Overall, everything was delicious. If I were to suggest one improvement, it would be to slightly reduce the salt in the crêpe dough, as the fillings already provide enough seasoning. All in all, a fantastic recommendation — one I’ll gladly pass on.

This is our favorite restaurant in Concarneau. On a sunny day this the perfect place to eat Mussels in scallop sauce w/fries, Moules Frites a la pirate, on the terrace with a glass of Muscat wine!

Fish and chip Friday for my wife and I - very British I know but excellent meal and good value

Lovely lunch. Very nice crêpe "au blé noir" with a generous filling of beautiful scallops and mushrooms in a creamy sauce, respectively a well seasoned tartare "coupe au couteau" with no sinewy bits in it which made my opposite absolutely content. The dessert a crêpe composition with almonds, caramel and Chantilly creme was delicious too. Swift and attentive service. The house is a jewel. The old beam work carefully restored and presented deserves an extra glance if you have to go and use the bathroom.

We really liked this restaurant. The food was well-cooked and honest! We had the fish with sauerkraut, and the fish skewer and both were excellent. The staff was very freindly and attentive. Definitely worth a try!

Food was alright, my steak was very chewy however and I got a piece lodged in my throat, leading me to leave the rest of my dinner. Upon collection my server gave my family and me a dirty look, saying "why did you leave my food", and blatantly gave a disappointed look. Then when ordering dessert we asked for two spoons for ice cream as I wanted to try some, and again she commented, this time saying "Are you sure, I dont want you wasting food", and pointed to the steak (which is in a takeaway box to eat later on). However, my families food was good, and the other waitresses and waiters were very accommodating and friendly, so just make sure not to get the moody black haired round glasses miserable waitress (especially if you know you dont finish your meals).

One of the few places that was still serving food. (we're only getting used to the hours of French dining!). We both ordered mussels, but neither of us got the actual dish we ordered!! I ordered the mussels with cream, and my partner ordered with lardons. He got the cream & I got the basic. Unfortunately we were both a bit disappointed. We both thought the mussels were quite bland & lacking in flavour. The wine we ordered was delicious, as was the dessert (VERY pricey though). An OK restaurant. And pleasant staff.

We visited as a family of 7 on an evening where the heavens opened. One poor girl that was waiting on single handedly closed umbrellas and emptied tables getting soaked while several of her colleagues (mostly male) watched and did nothing to help. Who said chivalry was dead. Problem we had was the girl had just taken our order for ice cream and as a consequence we waited 40 minutes to get desert, anyone with 3 young kids will know the joys of this.. overall a very average meal with poor service would not recommend.

We were sat in the room at the back which is not pretty at all. They should probably decorate to make it less depressing 🤞The location is perfect though and the burgers are delicious! Excellent service too!

We wanted to eat here but the service was horrible. They didn't even cared that we were there. took forever to give us menus (they never gave us menus) and finally they served people that came after us first! So we left without eating !

Food was amazing. We landed at 6ish and we're told we would have to have to 7 for food. That's fine and I appreciate that it's told upfront. Service was snappy and food fast once it had gone 7. We were eating by 7.10. There was a french Belgium football match on so it was rowdy but a good friendly environment.

Food was good but service was dire. It seemed as though they served French customers way faster than non French. We were seated but I had to go get our own menus, they forgot part of our order.

I have been going here for almost 3 years and the bathrooms are horrible. What the hell is the owner thinking? Is he or she stupid? Pick up the phone and call a plumber. What is wrong with you ?? Your sales seem to be excellent so spend your money and fix the bathroom. It literally gets worse every time I go there. You closed to rearrange the bar. Why don’t you close and fix the bathrooms?? Is your house like this?? No?? Then, why is your restaurant like this ?? I like all the servers and the kitchen makes really good food. I have no complaints about them.

We had the BEST time at Le Comptoir, watching the women's Euros - staff always super-friendly and helpful, it was never a problem to put the football on even though there were few of us watching, and the rose de Provence was just gorgeous. Memez tra - will never forget you, Le Comptoir! :)

Found the manager rude and would not recommend for families with children. The manager insisted that it was a restaurant and children could not just have ice-cream. For me, it's a pancake bar

We chose a table outside but were immediately told (by the owner I'm guessing) to move to a different table because there were only three of us. That wouldn't be a problem normally. But her manner was abrupt and rude and we would have left except that we'd promised our daughter a crêpe on the last day of our holiday. The same woman came to take our order. She continued with her short and abrupt manner, trying to push extra food on us. And then just as we were finalising our order, she called a waitress over and got her to finish taking our order. We found this very strange behaviour! Our crêpes arrived and they were absolutely delicious. The best we've had. All the other staff were friendly and pleasant but unfortunately the battle axe of an owner soured the experience for us.

Boycott this place. Crêpe and ice-cream were just ok but the attitude of the manager would prevent me ever from ever returning. She claimed that we “had to order full meals as this was a restaurant” but when we offered to “just leave right away no problem” she relented. This kind of unnecessary pressure and surly service detracts from a great spot and what could be a great experience for diners and staff alike.

Awesome restaurant. Amazing food. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. Completely understood my Gluten Free dietary requirements. The chef, even came out when she identified a hidden problem with a normally GF ingredient and confirmed she makes certain dishes using GF ingredients so my menu choice increased. A bit dark inside and 20 meters off the quayside so this might not be your first choice for a restaurant, but the food is really great and prices are very reasonable. The "ardoise fromagiere" is highly recommended.

Appalling service - find somewhere better. Things go bad everywhere, but it is how this is then managed that separates a good restaurant from a bad one. Son, had an assiette de fruits de mer for his main course. This was brought out while we were having our starters. He had almost finished his main and we were still waiting for our mains to arrive. Rather than simply apologising we were told by two different waiters (1) it’s not my fault the kitchen is short staffed, (2) I forgot to order out your mains because I am also looking after another area. No consideration for the impact on the customer. Staff then followed up by taking an age to bring out dessert and then not bringing the bill to the table. Manager stayed away and didn’t engage. Really poor.

How lucky for us to arrive in Concarneau for a days experience and this restaurant was highly recommended by three local residents in separate conversations.. we were patient as the brasserie was full and we were told by a forth person that the cuisine was worth the wait.. And everyone was correct..a very quality experience..very friendly and efficient staff and very quality food..

The service was great 👍 and the food also 😋. The oysters 🦪 were great and the crab 🦀 also was very fresh and good. The commissaire Dupin didn't disappointed us with his entrecot 🥩 and the vieras were amazing 🥣. The Baba au Rum also was amazing (has a lot of rum 🍾).

I have never before felt compelled to leave a negative review, but our experience at L’Amiral was profoundly disappointing. A caterpillar was found in my daughter’s dish, two mains arrived incomplete without notice, and yet we were charged over €200 with no apology or goodwill gesture, not to mention the extremely long wait times between courses. Worse still was the conduct of the waiter, Ismael, who repeatedly interrupted and spoke over both myself and my mother, made condescending remarks about tourists, displayed rude body language, and openly disrespected his colleague who had been serving us politely. His manner was insolent, argumentative, and wholly unprofessional. Instead of resolving issues, he argued and treated us with outright disrespect. In years of dining out, none of us have ever experienced such a lack of professionalism or basic courtesy. We left genuinely shaken and would not recommend this establishment, which should reflect seriously on the standard of service it allows to represent its name. As a note to future guests: order your dessert with your mains — the neighbouring table, who ordered the finest dishes on the menu, were refused theirs entirely after the same waiter failed to inform them of this policy, leaving them understandably upset.

If you would like a warm a tin of sardines (still in the tin) with a few leaves and boiled potatoes, this is the place for you. If you want fresh fish, try elsewhere.

Long waiting time for a very disappointing plateau de fruits de mer.

Overpriced for what it’s offering. We had a dry magret de canard and an entrecôte that was more gristle than meat. The kids meals were trying too hard and neither of our children enjoyed the strong flavoured sausages. The atmosphere is really staid and dull. It’s a shame. Prime location but they’ve decided to skimp on the cooking quality. It’s not gourmet, it’s basic French fare done badly. Service was very nice but that’s the only positive really.

Amazing view, right on the sandy beach. Room rather functional, cool terrace, but was not 100% clean. The receptionists are stunning, sweet and helpful. Breakfast was a bit below par.

Fantastic meal, incredible view, equally amicable service- a real treat. We both had set menu choices of fish and I finished with dessert the most amazing pavlova ever tasted. Our dogs were welcomed on the balcony overlooking the white sand beach there was a cooling breeze it was delightful. Wine was reasonably priced to boot, and my husband raved about the cafe. I would be interest to return to the hotel one day too.

Stayed for three nights while exploring Concarneau and Pont Aven.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The lady owner was very kind, the chef did an excellent job, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. Since I’m allergic to shellfish, they kindly changed the appetizer to foie gras just for me, which was not only thoughtful but incredibly delicious. The millefeuille is a must-try — so good! They also put a candle on my fiancé’s dessert for his birthday, which was a really nice touch. This made our visit to Concarneau feel extra special. Highly recommend!

A really beautiful restaurant with a very beautiful view overlooking the harbour and the beautiful ville close. Even better than the panoramic view is the food that is very elegant but not at all over the top. We had lovely oysters for starters, a very tasty lobster in décortiqué sauce Armorin with basmati rice, beautifully grilled cod with carrot mousse and for dessert a heavenly Peach-Mascarpone-Verrine with Mint-Sorbet. But probably the best was the lovely service that felt like being welcomed to someones home. I left very happy and smiling!

overall worth the reservation! our waiter, apparently has been living abroad in Chicago, is a very funny but yet professional guy. Good small talk and nice recommendations. As starters we shared the Assiette de fruit de mer which was perfectly fine with our waiter as well as for us. Main was the pork on perfectly cooked vegetables and exquisite dark sauce. And half a lobster with Safran risotto. For dessert we had our first ever baba au rhum and rum it had. very impressive and a great dessert. 10/10 make a reservation when you visit Concarneau.

We were honestly just happy to find somewhere with space for 5 on a hot day in the busy Ville Close but the food was really good as well - the portions were huge - the faux filet was enormous - probably about 16oz and there was more than enough for all of us. Very good seafood in a traditional setting. This is the kind of place we like. Our waiter was excellent and very patient as we tried to understand some unusual items on the menu. We would definitely go here again. The owner/manager spent many years in New York and sold up there just before covid when she moved back to Brittany. Maybe it was the time to be there but there was nothing at all negative in our visit. Quite the opposite.

Nice place with good food. I can definitely recommend the lobster but also the oysters and the fish soup are delicious. Many different wines are available which fit nicely to the different dishes. Little critique: Service could be a bit more attentive.

We were travelling from Los Angeles during January when a lot of restaurants in Bretagne are closed. We were pleasantly surprised that La Flaveur was open! My husband and I arrived right at 7:15 pm and they were able to seat us without a reservation. The food was sincerely one of the best meals I have ever had. It was so refined but also comforting at the same time. Our waitress was incredibly kind and hospitable. If we lived here, this would be our regular place. I had an amazing meal and I will not forget it.

We always look for Bib Gourmands whilst traveling in France. It is the only guarantee for a nice meal at a reasonable price. La Flaveur did not disappoint. A lovely restaurant with very friendly service. We had a lunch menu and it was a real treat after a week on the camping, Highly recommend this, much better than most in this touristy part of Concarnau.

The pizzas are excellent: crunchy dough and very good ingredients. The menu offers classic but more also original pizza recipees. The service was also first class even if that was a very busy evenjng.I will definetely come back.

Pizza crust is hand-tossed. Lots of options. But, we were not allowed to share, so we had to buy a second pizza that we did not need.

Delicious, we took the menu rare to find in the evenings, very reasonable. All dishes were well presented just the right amount of food to enjoy the three courses. Not much choice for children if they dont eat fish except a very good chicken with mushroom sauce and chips. We were on terrace and it was cosy!

Absolutely superb lunch! Started with the pressed octopus and had the mixed fish in a sort of chowder or broth. Both were delicious! Service was very attentive without being overwhelming. The wine selection is quite nice, with many reasonable options as well as splurges. The view of the harbor is wonderful to boot. So happy that we wandered in here today!

Probably their Seefood is excellent but we didn’t feel welcome. So after finishing a bottle of wine we left to have dinner somewhere else.

The service is unfriendly and not accommodating. I went for a drink and since it was a lovely day I wanted to order a little bite. When I asked for the menu it was dropped on my table with no smile or elegance. Then wanted to order the fois gras as I was in the mood for it. I was told they don’t serve food at the terrace … no explanation, just we do t serve here.I had diner here 3 years ago and my review wasn’t much better.. clearly this place still has a lot to learn about hospitality and flexibility. BUT If you want to get ripped off and love bad service then this is your place.

Nice place for a seafood dinner. Oysters and fish is very good and fresh, the meat selection is ok, but limited. They offer a vegetarian menu that is ok, but not exactly overwhelming. The place clearly specialises on seafood. Dessert is very good. They also have a quite nice wine selection. Service is attentive, the atmosphere in the place is also very nice. I would recommend to take indoor seating, though, as the place is in the more industrial area of the harbour, so the outdoor seating looks a bit like a parking lot.

Nice restaurant. Decent food but some flaws, like steak not cooked as ordered and a literally charred fish. Not enough wait stuff. Extra points for being the only (!) restaurant in Concarneau offering online reservation. Wonder which century they live in here.

A very good address to taste the Kouign-Amann, one of the most well-known specialities of Brittany.

The best koign aman and gateau breton ever! Visitting the French Britain and not trying it is a sin. They really worth the drive. As well as this, the village is very beautiful.

We had "fish and chips": cod in a pleasant breadcrumb covering and frites, salad and a fromage frais with citron. Frites were frozen: not as good as they could be. A basic house white wine go along.

We did not stay at Les Grands Voyageurs but ate in the restaurant. The service was mediocre but the food was disgusting. The Moules Mariniere tasted like they had been cooked in dish water and nothing tasted fresh. Everyone was disinterested in the food. Never go near there again.

It was quite disappointing overall. In spite of having made a reservation and the restaurant being almost empty when we arrived, the staff kept suggesting the 3 of us share a table for two. We declined and were eventually given a table for 4. There was a kids menu which was great. The menu looked great. But there were later some issues bringing the food in time, then a starter brought to us to be then taken away within seconds as they realised it was for another table… starter then didn’t arrive and we had to ask for it again. One of the starter was plain and the prawns looked like they came from a pack rather than freshly cooked. Service was really slow overall. But mostly it was not spicy at all. We ordered a jalfrezi and it was as mild as anything. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be waiting to be served, we had to ask a couple of times for the bill. We won’t go back.

Best meal of our three week holiday in NW France. Don't be put off that the restaurant is down an alley - it is an absolute gem of a place. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Recommend to book so you don't miss out!

I live in the area and just love Lobelys. There’s plenty of room inside and outside. It is conveniently located near Ville Close. We must have eaten here a hundred times and we still love it.
