Had the menu of the day here for lunch (26 euros). Highly recommend it. Fish was perfectly cooked and has nice complimentary sauce and veggies that balanced perfectly. First plate and dessert delicious as well. Great value for quality. Will come back to try their extensive menus, which are more expensive but it looks worth it.

Empreinte is a charming rustic-chic restaurant located on Place Valencia in the city center of Morbihan. The interior exudes warmth with its untreated wooden floorboards, fabrics, and vintage porcelain. Run by Marine and Baptiste Fournier, the restaurant offers upscale seafood and meat dishes as well as set menus. The couple takes pride in serving polished cuisine featuring fish from the market and vegetables from local farmers.
Wonderful experience. Food was absolutely delicious and service is as good as you can ask for. Food was so great that I only took a couple pictures. Come here if you want to experience local gastronomy with a human touch and tremendous quality. Will be back for sure.

A lovely welcoming small restaurant in the heart of Vannes. We found it on Google map and was attracted by others’ reviews. Owned by a couple, the service is great. The atmosphere is relaxing. Plus sophisticated dishes prepared by the chef. I would love to spend the whole afternoon there and enjoying the medieval architecture view from the restaurant window.

Brewpub
Awen Brew Pub is the perfect destination for beer aficionados in the Morbihan region! Situated on the water's edge between the Aquarium and Kasino, this friendly establishment has a passionate team that will happily share their knowledge of artisanal brewhouses with you. In addition to delicious beers, Awen offers mouth-watering home-cooked fare made using only the finest ingredients.
Lovely place to eat a drink with great service. The beef burger was excellent, probably the best I've ever had. And they did a great beer tasting board as pictured. And everything was reasonably priced. Thanks.
Ian T — Google review
Server was kind and made a small talk but they didn’t come often, after 15 minutes you still had to make a sign yourself that you’d like a drink. The atmosphere was pretty good. Many place for people outside and the tables had a perfect spacing in between. The drinks (and self brew beers) and “Fingerfoods” were good. However the main course was pretty bad. The fish from the fish and chips were alright but the fries were awful. Almost completely black and like they were fried in a year old oil. The pulled pork from the pulled pork burger tasted and looked like it was straight from a package and mushed together. Conclusion: Nice place with a good atmosphere and kind servers to have a drink. However, I don’t recommend visiting for dinner.
Floris — Google review
Nice brewpub offering a large choice of beers on tap, including homemade ones. The staff is friendly and welcoming. A large terrace is available, while games and sports on TV can be found indoors. The pub is modern and clean. Free parking available nearby.

Cool place to drink some beers. I tried few beers and they all were very good 🍻. The food was also good. We recommend the Awen brewery when you're in Vannes.

Creperie
French restaurant
Balade en Crêpanie is a charming creperie located in Vannes, France. They offer a wide variety of crepes and traditional French dishes, sourcing their ingredients locally within a 30 km radius. The restaurant is open daily from 8 am to 10 pm, making it convenient for visitors and locals alike. Situated in the Saint-Patern neighborhood near Old Vannes, this cozy family-owned restaurant has garnered praise for its friendly staff and quick service.
This restaurant serves local crepes and galettes. I really like the orignality of their dishes, there is large choice of different garnishing for ur galettes. The price is reasonable too, it is cheaper than some other places . Staff was friendly and efficient. There is a small terrace behind, they seem to have a cute cat passing by often too, it might the be owner's. There is a bathroom . Would definitely recommend
Alienor R — Google review
Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Went experimenting and tried the burger but it wasn’t great. The other savory crepe was ok. The sweet crepes sugar+butter were good. 15€/person, fair price but we were a bit disappointed.
Aurélie V — Google review
Perfectly lovely mood, very friendly staff and foods. Great value for lunch plate! Highly recommended to all.
Suzie — Google review
Had a Veggie Galette food and service were excellent would 100% recommend it.
John M — Google review
We stood inside by the front door for several minutes waiting for the staff to direct us to a table (there were at least 7 tables open). They passed us several times and did not acknowledge us even though we tried to flag them down. We thought maybe we were supposed to find a seat our selves so we sat at a table. The wait staff stopped by the table to our right to take their order then moved to the table to our left and took their order then never came back to our table. The experience was awful so we left and found another place to eat. Balade en Crêpanie was literally the only place in Vannes that we had a bad experience at. Not sure if we missed something that we didn't understand but it was just a really bad experience.
Larry S — Google review
It was a very busy night and we could not get a table together (we were 4) we still decided to accept 2 tables. The service was friendly and quick. The « galette de ble noir ´ were not good, the toppings were very good though but if you to try a good galette thos is not the place to go.
Floriska M — Google review
Was recommended the place by my hairdresser in vannes. This crepe restaurant only uses products and ingredients that are locally sourced within a radius of 30 km. The crepes are tasty and affordable. you even have the option of doing a burger which is is two layers of crepes. I am only adding four stars instead of 5 because I felt that the cooking was irregular. The crepes were much tastier and more buttery on my second visit than the first one. The decaf coffee ordered on my second visit was also too bitter. In brief, I do recommend the spot. The back patio is also a quiet and charming place to evade from the bustling city.
Antonella P — Google review
Just pancakes, nothing special really. It's good if you like it, not good if you don't - just don't really expect anything spectacular.

Creperie
Restaurant
Crêperie Dan Ewen - Crêpes et Galettes Bretonnes is a charming spot located in an ancient building in the Place du General de Gaulle. The compact locale with exposed-stone walls offers a delightful selection of crêpes, galettes, and Breton cider. The authentic decor of the old half-timbered house adds to its appeal. Visitors can savor delicious and filling galettes and crepes while enjoying the friendly service.
I am not fan of crepes but we wanted to eat something traditional. We didn't have reservation, it was full but the lady was super super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit a lot.
SH — Google review
Situated in a very old but well conserved medieval building, the crepes here are excellently done. We asked for them to be more well cooked as we were told it is better for the belly! The savoury crepes pair well with the lait ribot and the apple cider was good too. They service was also great. Nice place for lunch or dinner.
Eliza C — Google review
Actually quite disappointing. We came here based on a recommendation from a local person, unfortunately the food (galettes) were quite disappointing. The scallops were not cooked properly and the lard was smelling like it was super old. The other galette with the smoked salmon was obviously store bought salmon with uncooked potatoes and addition of mushrooms. Quite disappointing. Therefore I would stay away.
Ivan D — Google review
Delicious crepes, great service and I think also worth pointing out that they served us at a time where a lot of other places were closed (around 4pm). Our only point of feedback would be it might be a good idea to have an English language menu as Google translate is not always that perfect, and I'm sure lots of English speakers will love to come here, thank you so much lovely experience and we will be back again!
Mark J — Google review
Just outside of the historic city centre, this small crepe restaurant is set in an historic building which is bursting with character. We sat down outside under some very effective shade, and seen gave our orders. The crepes came surprising quickly, but we're obviously freshly made. Both were excellent and made a lovely small meal or large snack! Value for money was excellent with the bill coming to a little over 20 euro. A delightful and tasty stop during our day in Vannes.
Steven M — Google review
Very good crepe restaurant in an authentic setting, in downtown Vannes. The crepes and cider (bottled or on tap) were excellent. Place is kid and baby friendly, with high chairs available and a changing table in the restroom.
Juliette B — Google review
My family and I are very pleased with this place. The apéritifs had a nice presentation. The staff were friendly. The service was prompt. The ambience was cozy. The crêpes were delicious, except we'd appreciate it even more if the contenu were wrapped inside the galette instead of on top. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this crêperie.
Jessie L — Google review
I’ve been to many places in France and have had my fair share of crepes or galettes to compare because Bretonne galettes are specifically great for people who want to be gluten free. We are real food lovers and sought out the “best” creperie in Vannes. Multiple reviews indicated that Dan Ewen was the place. I ordered the galette specialty of Samson with scallops on top of some strange green pate or spread. I was not impressed at all. In fact, I couldn’t finish it. It was lukewarm and looked as if it was thrown together. It is a very busy restaurant and they forgot my salad that supposedly comes with the meal. My husband’s dish was just okay. Nothing special but classic egg, cheese and ham galette. I feel this restaurant rides on its reputation at this point or maybe it was a bad night. But if I’m ever in Vannes again, I will likely try a different place next time.

Le Roscanvec: Restaurant & Chambres is a modern gastronomic restaurant located in the charming old city, offering a relaxed and contemporary approach to food. The historical 17th-century mansion provides a unique setting for the pared-back dining area furnished in a contemporary style. We stayed at this small luxury hotel for two nights and found it to be both peaceful and perfectly located in the heart of Vannes’ old town. While direct car access to the hotel isn’t possible, there are several nearby parking options. As for the hotel itself, it was flawless, with an exceptionally dedicated staff. I highly recommend it for a relaxing and well-situated stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel in France! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The owners are truly delightful – friendly, caring, and always ready with a smile. They clearly put their hearts into making guests feel at home. The hotel itself is spotless, with great attention to detail in cleanliness and comfort. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location couldn’t be better – everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away, yet the area was peaceful and quiet at night. Breakfast was a simple French-style, fresh and delicious! We left feeling completely happy and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

We have enjoyed many excellent restaurants all over the world including Michelin star restaurants. This place is world class and exceeds every expectation of a star restaurant!!! Paul L — Google review
A 10-Year Anniversary Dinner at Le Pressoir For our 10-year wedding anniversary, we chose Le Pressoir for a special evening. The setting was elegant and comfortable, with cute orchids placed throughout the dining room, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We had the glass of champagne that came recommended by the waiter and we were off to a good start. We ordered the two signature tasting menus: the Saveurs menu (88 €) and the Collection menu (105 € for three courses or 130 € for four). This allowed us to try a wide range of dishes and share each plate. We had to drive after dinner and as the restaurant is certainly off the beaten path we had to forgo on the wine tasting menu, but we did each have a glass of red and shared a liquor after. The majority of the dishes were well balanced and exquisite. We found the Chair d’araignée en croustillant from the Saveurs menu paired spider crab with avocado, mango and curry in a crisp shell to be just a tad too heavy, would have been perfect without the avocado. From the Collection menu, the ventrèche de thon rouge was served with pipérade and vegetables and the foie gras (usually not something we enjoy) was exquisite. For mains, the Saveurs canette normally combined duck with peach, mint and chorizo. But was now switched out for a pescatarian option, a heavy and filling piece of perch. The Collection’s homard came with artichoke, tomato and mushroom. Several courses, were served with polished silver cutlery and on gorgeous plates, which added a traditional touch to the experience. The cheese course (les fromages affinés de Kérouzine) was served with salad and cider jelly. It was followed by desserts: the Saveurs abricot with lavender, verbena and cardamom, and the Collection fraise with basil, pepper and lemon caviar. The chef also surprised us with a small tasting of biscuits to end the meal. Wine pairings are available (39 € for Saveurs). The overall experience was calm, well-paced and satisfying. Verdict: Le Pressoir made our anniversary a memorable occasion. The tasting menus offer a clear expression of the chef’s style and are worth trying for a special meal. Worth every penny! And apropos of nothing, the parking lot is gorgeous too.

Everything was really delicious, just too much for me personally. Next time, I would choose 3 dishes. I would like the lighting in the hall to be a bit dimmer, otherwise the light is so bright that it feels like you are on stage.😀 Thank you for the fantastic food and lovely service.

Spare and elegant, R. Le Pressoir provided a great dining experience in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is behind the restaurant and the entrance is on the street. We were promptly greeted at the door where they offered to take jackets (the night was cool) and quickly showed us to our table. After a few minutes to browse the menus, someone took our drinks order. There was a slight mix-up when they delivered flat water instead of sparkling, but they figured it out without our mentioning it and quickly provided the sparkling water we had ordered with fresh water glasses. No harm, no foul. After ordering, a succession of nibbles and courses were delivered with grace and descriptions. The food was excellent, well prepared and well presented. The ingredients were local and fresh. The overall experience was excellent. Would happily visit again.

Spectacular food without being overly 'clever'. It all worked superbly. We have the 5 course tasing menu and loved absolutely everything. Great relaxed atmosphere, with pleasantly engaging staff who all spoke good English. Been to several higher Michelin rated restaurants that were not as good, and twice the price.

Amazing experience for our family, including our young children aged 10 and 8 years, who enjoyed guessing the ingredients. Each dish was a delightful surprise-so beautifully presented. Amazing experience from a professional, friendly and informative hosts who had superb English! Thank you to the brilliant chef and his wonderful team!

Phoebe G — Google review
A wonderful restaurant with a beautiful, modern but cozy atmosphere. Many thanks to the chef and his team! The food was absolut fantastic with nothing to criticise. The chosen six course surprise menu was a great choice and it was really fun trying to discover the ingredients and learning about the actual making afterwards. For the first time I had an idea how the famous German „Kitchen Impossible“ TV show feels like for the competitors 😊. The service team did a great job as well. Only one recommendation left (depending on the demands of the other ‚typical’ customers of the restaurant): in addition to the existing variety of mocktails some further drink alternatives for those who don’t consume alcohol would be appreciated (bubble tea or fermented drinks etc.). We are looking forward to our next visit when we will be back in Brittany.

The restaurant features a bistro-chic ambiance and serves quality market cuisine prepared by Cyril Jorda, an experienced chef. The menu includes inventive homemade dishes crafted with fresh ingredients. Guests can enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset along the quay, creating a timeless moment.
Service and atmosphere is 100% but even better is the food. We had blue lobster and carnette which are duckling fillet which was sublime, exemplary. We really don't understand why this place don't get 5 stars all the time. We are very picky foodies and we had one of the best menu in France here. And we think price value is unbelievably good. We have been to Michelin star restaurants with less quality or higher prices. Plus our waitress was very lovely.

Food is OK but expensive for what is it, paying for the seaside more than what is served. More than 16 euros for 2 langoustine with 3 uddon noodle as a starter... can find much better taste in other restaurant in Vannes

Place looks beautiful. Sadly we were not allowed to dine there, presumably because we are English. We were turned away with a claim that they were ‘fully booked’ although only one table was seated and a reserved sign on just 1 more table. We have been sat outside for 1 hour at a nearby bar and no other customers have entered the building.

The restaurant serves 'nouvelle cuisine' type menus which are largely based around locally caught fish, but other choices are available. The service is most attentive and the waiters were welcoming and charming, both to us and our Golden Retriever. They were also enthusiastic about the food and wine being served. It was a hot day (30C), so it was pleasant to sit outside on the terrace in the shade of large umbrellas.

We ate here today (9th August), table reserved previously. To be honest, I did not expect too much. Beside our campsite, a long way from the centre of town. Verdict: EXCELLENT. Two excellent amuses bouche, lovely local beer, tasty garlic-loaded palourdes, Ling risotto and sea bass. Go!! Delicious food. Very reasonable prices. Great selection of crêpes. No reservations possible but worth the (short) wait we had at 8pm.
Mary B — Google review
Awful service. Spoke my best French and asked for a table for one. Despite there being a small table outside, I was taken indoors without asking, unlike the couple in front of me who were given the choice. I was looking forward to a sweet crepe but it was clear from the waitress’s expression that this was not expected. I didn’t understand her response so said in French I’m sorry, I don’t understand. She said, ‘It’s not breakfast!’ They don’t open for breakfast so I assume this was sarcasm as the menu didn’t specify times for food. After I asked if it was possible, she pulled a face and said she would do it. I then chose a verbena infusion from the menu to which she said, non. I selected menthe instead and got ‘non’. It wasn’t the fact they couldn’t do these things but the very rude approach. At this point, I’m very pleased to say I got up and left and found the most delightful creperie around the corner with beautiful outside seating and super friendly staff, Les Joséphine, which I am about to review with 5 stars. They happily served me a delicious sweet crepe and verbena infusion.

what a wonderful find Le Coq a l'Ane was! We were welcomed into the cozy atmosphere, that has a cool vibe. Server was bilingual, which helped us as mainly English speaking to understand what was available. He walked us through the regular menu and daily specials. A creative offering! We chose two vegetarian options (although we are not strictly vegetarian): a Grand Meze with Mediteranean influence, and a veggie burger. Absolutely delicious. Also appreciated their wine board offering 4 reds and 4 whites and a rose, by the glass, in additon to a house wine. We highly recommend this restaurant. (We visited on a Saturday in late September; it was packed by 7:30 plus a few outside tables).

We had a really disappointing experience here. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, and it never came. In the meantime, we only had two glasses of wine and two cocktails. The waitress was nice and apologetic, but every time we asked, she just said the food was coming. We saw other people arrive, eat, and leave while we were still waiting with nothing. In the end, we never got to eat, we just paid for our drinks and left. The view is nice, but when it comes to food service, I would avoid this place. If it’s busy, don’t expect to eat.. you’ll just be waiting endlessly. Definitely not recommended.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the charming historic center of Vannes, Chez Marcelle offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitors to savor a delightful selection of local delicacies. From savory charcuterie and smoked fish to delectable oysters, accompanied by a fine glass of wine, this restaurant provides the perfect setting for a gourmet break. Families can also indulge in traditional Breton desserts such as far or Kouign Amann.
If you want to try sea foods, thats the place you can try it. Theres a big variety of it (mussles, oysters, crawfish,..) for a good price. You can pay by card. Recommended.

The place has potential, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the lady who attended to us. The tartiflette we ordered was fine, but it lacked flavor and the rich, creamy cheese one would expect. On the other hand, the oysters were quite good, although not the best I've had. Now, regarding the service: when we requested another round of bread and butter, the server responded in an unprofessional and rude manner, saying, "We can't offer more bread and butter since you've already finished your dishes, but fine, I'll bring you some." I've never encountered such an attitude from a server before. To make matters worse, when we went to pay, she dismissed us with, "Sorry, I'm very busy and don’t have much time. You can pay at the counter." Lastly, while the atmosphere was decent, it wasn’t very inviting. The place felt cold, as if they didn’t bother turning on the radiators.

Ww fell into this beautiful place on our first day in Vannes. Loved the plat du jour porc and rice and really enjoyed the jug of cider. Dog friendly and family friendly. Ww really meant to back again before we left but somehow didn't. Loved the decor too

Classic Oyster & seafood bistro in the center of Vannes (couldn't be more centric). Champagne, dozen oysters and a paté board €60 in mid August...it doesnt get much better than that.

Very nice place just behind the cathedral. Good selection of local oysters mixed with local and French sausages and pâtés. Friendly staff, and excellent wines! Highly recommended.

Nice food and service, but the owner was very unfriendly, when I went inside to go to the toilet, she was practically nearly screaming at me, that she didn't know who I was(even though me, and my family ordered food and drinks, multiple times even) when I went to the toilet, saying it was not public(even though I was a guest). She told me that I should have atleast said something, even though I ate something minutes prior. Even after explaining I was a guest, she kept her attitude.

The venue boasts a beautiful courtyard and charming back room with cool design and vibe suitable for any celebration. Stunning gem: spectacular salmon dish, generous planche, gorgeous wines selected alongside knowledgeable, humble, polite owner. Beautiful courtyard and charming back room; very cool design and vibe worthy of any party or celebration. Hot tip: ask for the window seat to take it all in. Impressed to see two people run 80 covers on a busy summer night. Will happily return many times over to this hidden oasis. Keep an eye on this special place…feels like there’s much to come from this one.

Nice hidden wine bar and restaurant settled in an old Vannes medieval building. Food is carefully prepared with local products and provides great ideas, like this polenta with grilled white cabbage and homemade pesto and roasted hazelnuts! The œuf mayonnaise is also hyper well executed with a perfect cooking time and twisted mayo with wild garlic, one of the best I ever had !

"Restaurant Inspirations" is a charming and intimate dining spot in Vannes, where Alexandre et Elise Juton showcase their talent and good humor. The impeccable service and exquisite 7-course menu make it a must-visit. Another gem not to be missed is a small gourmet restaurant with delicious, well-thought-out cuisine and inviting decor. Guests particularly enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu for its fine use of lemon and accurate dishes, making it highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.
Incredible attention to detail in the selection of ingredients and presentation of flavors and textures. Timing of service ideal and much help from staff. Looking forward to a soon return.

Absolutely wonderful experience all around. We had the small lunch menu and loved every meticulously crafted, creative and delicious course. The service was exceptional and the room was very cozy and beautiful. One of the best menus we had in the last years in france - Highly recommended!
BenDanProductions — Google review
Incredible restaurant. We opted for the 5 course menu and got 2 extra small extra dishes. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service. You won’t be hungry at the end of the tasting menu as the portions are generous and they provide bread on the side. Also catered for Gluten Free.
Jessica P — Google review
Small, very elegantly decorated restaurant with a choice between a 3 or 5 course menu that allows you to 2 or 3 choices per course. We decided on the 5 course menu and enjoyed every dish! The waiters are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The chef absolutely deserves the Gault & Milau Trophee for young talent of Brittany 2024!
Nelle M — Google review
What a fantastic fusion of flavours - the 5 course lunch was delightful. Even foods we thought we might not like, were made to be delicious. Equally, we initially thought the portions were a little small, but we left feeling full and very satisfied. All backed up with very good and considerate service - thank you.

Superb dining experience. Very reasonably priced lunch for the outstanding food quality and attentive service.
Greg D — Google review
On all points excellent! We chose the 5 course meal with a flight of 3 wines adding in an extra wine aperitif and a cheese course (both shared) and coffee. The food (including the 2 extra amuse bouche courses) was outstanding. Delicate, tasty, imaginative, always beautiful to look at and perfectly prepared. Often with unusual but completely appropriate ingredients taste-wise, each dish offered several layers of discovery. Each was carefully explained in reasonable English by our young front-of -house waiter who also told us all the details of our wines (again, there were interesting surprises among these). We ate shellfish ~ cockles, whelks and crab, then delicious pigeon (there was a fish choice as well) and after our cheese we each had different sweets - my husband chose a delicious fig dessert and I an equally delicious but more unusual satsuma mille feuille. Coffee was also top quality. We dined on a quiet weekday evening in the very comfortable and elegant downstairs part of the restaurant- modern design but all suited to a building in one of the oldest parts of town in an area full of other cafes and restaurants.

We had a fantastic lunch at Molux! The portions were generous, and the quality of the food was impressive. Even though it’s primarily a seafood restaurant, the steak was a pleasant surprise – perfectly cooked and delicious, paired with crispy fries and fresh greens. The seafood dish we ordered was equally delightful, with fresh flavors and a beautiful presentation. The atmosphere is great, right by the port, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and spoke English, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're in the mood for seafood or a great steak, Molux won’t disappoint!

We really loved this place, first holiday in the countryside of France and speaking only a small basic amount of french was a bit dubious but the owner / manager was very friendly, met us at the door, offered to help translate and explain what was on the menu and about where the fish was sourced. I had the Catfish Risotto which was absolutely amazing! Would definitely go back thank you for a great experience and your patient with the English holiday makers :) Also, any motorbiker's out there, you can park your bike on the street opposite under the trees which is really handy

A great find! Antoine and his team are very affable and love their seafood! They have created a very welcoming, buzzy, cool atmosphere and extremely tasty and innovative dishes. We hadn’t been to Vannes before so asked several locals for their restaurant recommendations, all of them recommended Molux, and rightly so!
Anabel H — Google review
My husband, Steve Bowden (review below) and I visited this establishment yesterday. I’m appalled to read the very rude response from the owner to his honest review, which is a complete misrepresentation of what happened yesterday, and a testament to the very bad service in this establishment. The owner himself/herself admits they were not present there, so why accuse us of a lie, of events that did not happen and did not witness? We are honorable people and never treat service staff or other customers with disrespect.
Sitna Q — Google review
I started writing this review as my wife and I had just been given our menus—after waiting for 10 minutes. We had asked for a table in the shade, which had just become available. After all, it’s 32 degrees today. It seemed that this request, which required the table to be cleared, was what provoked the attitude from our waiter. I accept that he was the only one waiting nine tables, but that is the job. Take the attitude to your employer, young man. Our order was eventually taken by a female member of staff who was clearly providing some much-needed assistance. She managed to swiftly take our order, serve the table next to us, and clear another table in short order. The food arrived quickly—admittedly it was only Moules Marinière—but it was tasty, as was the wine. No bread or lemon wipes (a must when eating Moules), but the experience was redeemed somewhat. Still, if you work in the service industry—especially when your customers are polite—please take pride in your work and be pleasant with your customers. It goes a long way to encouraging return visits. Which, sadly, we will not be making. Added the day after in response to the reply below, which was a COMPLETE misrepresentation of the situation!!!: We've been travelling and dining in France for over 20 years, and we have also travelled extensively throughout the world. Never once have we snapped our fingers at a waiter, nor do we treat waiting staff or fellow customers with anything other than respect. Your description of the table being occupied was also incorrect. So you have either mistaken us for other patrons, or you are simply inventing things to counter a bad review. We suspect the latter. It is often the sign of a poor establishment when it can not take constructive criticism.

(Translated by Google) The pinsas are truly excellent, generously garnished... The value for money is more than reasonable, perfect for a quick lunch. On the other hand, the welcome leaves something to be desired. The woman at the counter taking orders was very rude, annoyed even though I asked her a simple question. It's a shame, because the place has potential and the quality of the products deserves to be highlighted by top-notch service. I'll go back for the food, but I hope the staff's attitude will be warmer next time. We had a lovely meal at Le Jeu de Quilles. Relaxed, cosy atmosphere and very tasty dishes. My linguine au cocquillage was delicious, and my wife, who is vegetarian, loved her meal (roasted vegetables and ancient grains) which was a pleasant change from the standard goat cheese salad that every other restaurant seems to serve as their only vegi option. Our server Rose was a delight. Very helpful, and willing to persevere through my broken French because she could see I was trying to learn, ather than replying in English like some servers who can't be bothered. Would highly recommend this venue, and we would have returned if we had more time here.

As a "hobby cook" I also greatly appreciated the marriage of tastes and natural flavors of the products which accompany each other but do not supplant each other. A symphony and a place worth the detour, really!!! (Original) Ma femme et moi étions en déplacement à Vannes le 06.11.2024. If you're in town for a day or two and want to savour some of the best food Vannes has to offer, look no further than L'Atlantique. The seafood is particularly excellent, with lobster sandwiches being a particular favourite. The staff are super friendly and happy to help you out with your language barrier, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner.
We celebrated the end of our vacation in Vannes at L’Atlantique in style with a seafood platter of epic proportions. The seafood was delicious and plentiful, the service excellent and my wife had the best dessert she ever had. Perle de golfe was the name and came highly recommended by the waitress. Mine was very good as well. They have a collaboration with a local master patessier and my wife’s dessert was exclusively created for the restaurant.

I also had a nice time here visiting with a friend the server was super attentive even to the point of not offering us wine until we had finished our aperitif the rillettes de thon that we had during the aperitif (friend had whisky, i had kir) were soooo good, and i never knew they existed huîtres: très bien plat: choucroute de mer dans un curry, très bon aussi, my friend was disappointed in his beef, but it seems like a place where it makes more sense to choose seafood on the entree ! I was surprised again as i’ve only had choucroute in Alsace with meat but with seafood it’s much more light and digestible the rapport between my company and the server was quite impressive We didn’t have dessert The price wasn’t bad for a restaurant of this quality, and they are one of the only good ones in Vannes open Sunday and Monday night when many things are closed in France

Visited with my son and ordered from the €26 menu, which was a bit limited. We both had duck pancakes to start, which were very nice and served in a bowl with salad. For the main we had the lamb, which came with roast new potatoes and salad. The gravy was a bit salty and the lamb could have been bigger. However, the lamb was tender and very good. The biggest disappointment was the 'tiramisu' which had: No coffee No alcohol No sponge It was basically all cream with some caramel sauce and some chopped nuts. It was definitely not tiramisu and I felt like it was a bit dishonest calling it that. The service was quick and polite. Given the poor quality restaurants we've visited so far, this one is by far the best.

Found this place on Google, it looked quirky so gave it a try. We didn't book so they only had tables outside, reluctantly we decided to stay but so glad we did. (They had blankets) The atmosphere was good, the serving staff were very good, the food was delicious and well presented....we had the oysters and Gravalax to start and steak as a main, it came with homemade pepper sauce and the most amazing fries(never seen any like this; thin and scoop design). Profiteroles for my partner and mixed sorbet for me finished the meal. Our waitress was fairly new, 2 days in the role of she was delightful, very attentive, spoke very good English and successfully answered all my partners bizarre questions. Restaurant La Table de Jeanne is a popular eatery that offers seasonal menus, with an emphasis on fish dishes. The ambiance is relaxed and can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors. The menu changes daily to incorporate fresh ingredients, resulting in flavorful dishes that blend French cuisine with international influences. With excellent service and exceptional food from start to finish, this restaurant comes highly recommended for those seeking high-quality meals.
We went all in and took the starter, main dish and dessert. If you're not too hungry you might consider taking only two of these three. The portions are very good. The menu seems to change daily because they serve what the market offered that day. There was one waitress who helped us to understand the French menu in a very polite and friendly way. Although there was no vegetarian meal she managed to deliver a wonderful non-meat/fish version of the main course. Additionally the tuna steak was the best I've ever had in my entire life. Roasted just on the outside and raw but unbelievably soft on the entire inside. The mussels in a somehow slightly Asian-like soup were perfect and the dessert was huge and delightful. Better arrive early or make a reservation. We were lucky to get a table for two by chance. Perfect value for money-experience and the freshest and most delicious food in Vannes we found.
Quinten Q — Google review
This place was recommended to us, the food was poor and the service was horrible, it was very disappointed, there's too many other options around to sit at this horrible place. A pregnant lady asked to use the restroom and they told her she had to eat at the restaurant to use it, she offered to pay for some drinks and maybe a pastry in order to be able to use it, they told her no in a very rude way. If you're a business owner, you cannot be so rude. Save yourself from spending at a place that it's not worth it and go eat good food somewhere else.

We were served quickly. The food was ok but not outstanding. Our shrimp appetizer was quite good as was the thé gourmand. The steak was missing some flavor and the burger a bit more sauce. We appreciated that the kids menu included a salmon option and not just the typical nuggets or steak haché.

The food was fine, the server was terrible and almost ruined the evening. She came immediately came to the table to take our order without ever bringing menus or inquiring about aperitif or drinks. We asked for menus and ordered a carafe of white wine. She literally dropped it on the table in passing, with a loud thud and never brought glasses. It sat there for 10+ minutes. I finally had to go inside to ask for menus and glasses while she stood around laughing and chatting with a couple colleagues. I took photos of the specials on the blackboard. She was rude, impatient, preoccupied when we placed our order. Someone else delivered our meal. She forgot to bring water, bread. I went inside again and asked to speak to the manager who came out and apologized. My companion had the Choucroute de la mer façon Brasserie des Halles (spécialité de la maison) and liked it. My meal was mostly fries. Saw the server cleaning tables and chatting but never got a chance to order anything else like dessert or coffee. So we just sat there listening to the beautiful street cellist. He saved the evening!

A bit outside the city centre but worthwhile the walk. Delicious food and friendly service. The langoustine was a pleasure.

I liked the concept but the implementation was not worth it. Lobster and fries are good, but that's it. Nothing fancy otherwise and the service was poor (lost part of the order).

We had a table booked for last night. When we arrived the restaurant was closed and did not open with no warning. We met other diners in the same situation outside the restaurant. Very disappointing Update they subsequently got back to me on insta to say the chef had an accident, this confirms they do open on Mondays

This restaurant is great. The staff is very patient and explains well what is on the menu. A simple and well thought menu for your seafood. Very good service, a great team and a good chef. The decor is very original, with a home feeling and a touch of the sea life. I will be coming back soon to enjoy some more.

Family-run restaurant, we were welcomed to a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food is simply amazing. One can choose between meat and fish dishes (we had both). Don't miss out on the homemade terrine, it is divine. The menu is relatively short (usually a good sign) but the quality of the ingredients is superb. Very recommended!

Very bad experience. On this first day of 2025, we wanted to eat in a traditional Bertagne restaurant and we chose this one based on the ratings. We were served by some kind of punk who was extremely stressed and agressive. After long waiting, the food was discussing.. this restaurant is to avoid. It’s a tourists restaurant because of its location. If you want to try local food, choose another one.

The french restaurant Le Tandem is known for its rustic-chic space with bare stone walls and wood beams, as well as its creative local fare. The 36 menu can be a bit expensive, but the service is usually good. The main dish of capon was supposed to have foie gras, but it could not be taste at all. The dessert was very sweet and the wine choice was heavy.
Unbelievable experience. The lunch menu includes appetizer, main course, and dessert for only 24 euros. You're welcomed with an amuse-bouche, and coffee is served with chocolate sticks. Everything in between is simply exquisite.

Affordable gourmet restaurant in one of Vanne's old cobblestone streets. The service is efficient, respectful and knowledgeable...the waitress was kind enough to explain the different wine glasses I selected. She even said goodbye when she left the restaurant. I had different pescatarian dishes for the first and second course. The combinations were quite inventive and tasty but lacked just a bit of zing or Spice in my opinion. The products used - langoustine, fish, veggies- were fresh. the desert was rather interesting. I selected a kouign amann With a buttermilk sorbet and caramel sauce. The salted butter caramel ways to die for. It was one of the best I've ever had during my stays in Brittany. The sorbet brought some acidity and freshness to the dish. I was a bit let down by the kouign amann hailed as one of their specialties as I felt it was overcooked, thus dry and lacking butter. I won't put 4 stars to this restaurant because most of the options were vegetarian or pescetarian. The only carnivore option offered was offal. A risky and bizarre choice for such a touristy city. Brittany offers incredible beef and pork , yet the restaurant did not want to exploit this. However, I do do commend the inventivity and variety of products, textures and herbs.

Our favorite place in town. We go there every month. The food is fresh, tasty and innovative. The little amuse-bouches/appetizers and palate cleansers are always so amazing. The desserts are highlight of each meal. All in all a great restaurant in Vannes.
Jonathan B — Google review
Exceptionally delicious food. The head chef has worked as a baker and a pastry chef, and this is reflected in the amazing desserts. Dishes are fresh, tasty and not too large, leaving us satisfied and happy after a three course dinner. This is a gourmet experience!

"No Moules Frites," on the sandwich board was the thing that first caught our eye. This very much goes against the grain of Vannes' other nearby restaurants. This got us curious, as did the Mâitre Restauranteur plaque above the door. We proceeded inside. For what was going to be a quick lunch, our meals went well above our expectations. We had two Répas at €27 with wine and a cheese course (extra). The service was good, with welcome comments and advice. We wanted to go back for dinner later in the week but the schedule bounces around. Be sure to check availability. All in all, highly recommended. We'll definitely go back next time we're in Vannes!
Paul B — Google review
We went to dinner here this week with colleagues and were a bit disappointed compared to our last meal here a year or two ago. The 36€ menu was a bit expensive and we found: -the starter with thinly sliced scallops had too much lime juice and hardly any scallops flavor (and perhaps 1 scallop each?) -the main dish of capon was supposed to have foie gras with the meat and we couldn’t taste it at all. We did enjoy the risotto and vegestables though. -the chocolate bûche dessert was very sweet -the côtes de Rhone wine was very heavy, but perhaps a poor choice. The service was very good and it’s always fun to have a little amuse-bouche while waiting. Verdict: not sure we’d choose the 36€ menu again…

Was entice to try this place was reading about Vannes and the atmosphere just looks too good to pass. Ordered Cabillaud Chorizo (Cod fish Chorizo) and Pizza Orienale. The Cabillaud Chorizo come with rice, salad and a thick slice of cod fish. The rice is cooked with various spices which makes it really frangant. The cod fish is thick but perfectly cooked through. It is flaky and retains all the juices of the fish. Top of the fish is layered with full flavoured Chorizo. The pizza is doused with various everything good like cheese, Sauages, onions... I really enjoyed the dough which unlike some places which retains sufficient doughyness.

Horrible service!! 3 of us went there for dinner and were given a table on the 2nd level. We sat down for at least 10mins with no one coming to attend to us. I had to "signal" to get attention for a waitress to show us the menu. It's another 10mins gone and I had to "signal" again to get attention of the waiter in the photo to take our order. Risotto, mussels, beef tartare and beef skewer. We waited for at least 45mins to have our food. The customers on our adjacent table ordered later than us (2 lasagna) and yet got their order before us. We asked the waiter in the photo why they had their food before us when we placed our order first, he replied "how would I know, I do not work in the kitchen". WTH! Not even a word like "let me check". Finally had our food and happy we are leaving the restaurant. Food quality is average. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and tell everyone to avoid!! Go only if you have a hell of time to waste.

Very nice place in Vannes with very good food! We ate there 5 years ago and it was still very good, with very good taste. We had their 3 course Formule du Jour for 25 euros. My fish was delicious and very nice presented, the lamb with the beans was very well done cooked and of good quality and taste! Their wine was a bit expensive (7 euros for a glass) but it was great! Also their dessert was delicious and with very good ingredients.

(Translated by Google) The restaurant is very well located on the port of Vannes. The decoration is pretty and the place is warm. The service was very good: attentive and careful! However, the dishes remain unexceptional despite being appetizing, the pizza was correct but not transcendent (very difficult to cut the dough was overcooked on the bottom and not enough on the top) and the meat was not as rare as wish but rather blue. I had good memories of this restaurant where I ate a few years ago but I find the food less good despite a more reasonable price than before. (Original) Le restaurant est très bien situé sur le port de Vannes. La décoration est jolie et le lieu est chaleureux. Le service était très bien : attentionné et soigné ! If you find yourself in Vannes and craving traditional Breton cuisine, look no further than Creperie Moulin du Roy. This restaurant is open for lunch every day from Tuesday to Sunday, and on Friday and Saturday evenings. Visitors have praised the attentive staff who even provided bread to a hungry toddler while waiting for their meals. The crepes and galettes are highly recommended, with a wide variety of options available.
I'd happily visit here again. Staff were great with our toddler who was hangry (hungry and angry), so they brought us some bread for him to eat while our mains were cooking. The crepes and galettes were very good and they have a good selection, although I made a poor choice with the La Guéméné. The speciality local sausage is very much an acquired taste and I have definitely not yet acquired it. My wife's was delicious. Our crepes were superb; I had the Nutella and banana whereas my wife as the caramel. Both excellent.

I could not give this place 0 stars. If I could I would ! I’ve never met someone that rude as the waiter attending the place. After waiting 15 mins to get noticed he told me that I had to change the table because he was not going to run to serve us… after moving all of my family he rudely forced us to leave. “Bye, bye” the brown haired waiter told us… please, there are millions of creperies in France if you want to be treated like a person, go to the the one that it’s aside ! You will enjoy for sure and have a great experience in France ! This is not only dirts this place but also French culture.

We took our family here to enjoy a great meal and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent - creative, with an innovative blend of flavors and the presentation was lovely. Overall, we had a great experience! However, the service was slightly off - there were two servers. One of them was polite and extremely professional, the other woman was a bit unprofessional. The room was very quiet (the guests were even whispering at times), and one of the servers was speaking very loudly. She refilled our wine glasses while dripping wine everywhere (she seemed entirely unaware as she did not even clean it up). For such a nice restaurant, you would expect a bit more professionalism. However, overall we had a great experience and would definitely go back/recommend this spot for its food!
