Shoestring Restaurant Beach Bar in Alykanas offers a new menu, tranquil atmosphere, and breathtaking views. It's a perfect spot to enjoy unspoiled views of the soft evening light. The restaurant is highly recommended by visitors for its great food and scenic location. With its welcoming ambiance, it's an ideal place to unwind and savor the start of summer.
Great food, super friendly guys and relaxed atmosphere. The wife of one of the guys is the kitchen’s chef and the food is mostly local so very fresh. Open from 9.00 till 18.00 from breakfast until (late) lunch. Under the restaurant is a small beach, which is normally very quiet. About 20 beds with parasol. Go here for a nice breakfast or lunch and you’ll not be disappointed.

This is a great spot and a very small beautiful beach. Not easily accessible, but we hired an ATV. Second time we came and enjoyed it just as much as last year.
Slight change in that there was a charge for the beds and brolly €10 hardly gonna set you back.
Absolute gem of a place in Alikanas with free beach access! The hosts are amazing, welcoming and kind fellows. I can only speak praises of them. The food, the proportions, the serving, the prices - every thing is top notch! Oh, and a lot of very lovely cats! :)
Keep in mind if you happen to visit at the end of July and in August: lot of wasps will gather in teams around your food, espeacially if there is no wind around the beach view areas, however, if you move to the inner parts, it is okay:)

Lovely place. Really nice food and staff really friendly. The views are amazing too. It was about a 25 minute walk for us but totally worth it. So good we did it twice.

Highly recommend this family run restaurant, the food was amazing and the portions were massive 👌 it's got a good vibe and the views are great.
Staff are friendly and even offered us a homemade dessert on the house.

Great location with fantastic food. The portions were very generous (thankfully my husband chose not to eat as he ended up finishing my salad!) Really made to feel welcome. Then had a swim and relaxed on the beach before walking back to our accommodation.

Avoid like the plaque. If I could give zero stars I would. It’s hard to mess up a simple dish like bruschetta, but trust me here they managed to do that. It was horrible. The feta in filo pastry was completely cold in the middle , Lukewarm overall. Got some “Greek bread” which was completely inedible. The main course was a complete let down. Prices might look good but you’d be better spending your money elsewhere.

Great local food, rabbit stew very nice. We created our own mezz-platter. Irish coffee at €5 is a nice way to end the meal. Prices very reasonable, house wine very nice.
One of my favorite resturants to eat in.... also visit on the first night!.. Normally go for the beef stifado but went for Spicy sausage to start (wow just amazing) and had a greek mixed grill.. food was amazing. The menu is great for all ages and reasonable price. Nice area for kids to play
This is such a good restaurant highly recommended when you are here. Very good atmosphere lovely service food is amazing. Very family friendly. Welcome everyone even has a playground in the back for kids so parents can have a nice time and so can the kids. Highly recommended.
I would have loved to give this place a bigger review. We ate here twice. The first night we had calamari grilled and is was okay. But the second night, I ordered octopus and the man who served us said it was fresh not frozen. When the plate came, I realised that what I got was not octopus but calamari tentacles ( they didn't have any suction cups like octopus, instead they had little hooks). The price was 15.5 euro, which I admit it made the scam a bit more acceptable because grilled octopus is usually around 21 euro. Other restaurants in this area do the same.

Very nice beach and affordable sunbeds, at least in September 2025 they were 15 euros 2 plus the umbrella, the restaurant has good choices and the beach is calm and the water amazing.

The best thing about this place is its location right in front of the beach. After swimming, you can sit here and enjoy your food with a great view of the sea. The Greek pizza is definitely worth recommending. It was delicious.
However, the souvlaki was way too salty. I needed three bites of salad for every bite of souvlaki. Out of the three skewers, I could only eat one and had to leave the rest.
The cocktails were honestly disappointing as well. The frozen cocktail (light green) was not bad, but the other two were really terrible. One tasted like flat cola without any fizz, and the other one tasted like it had seawater mixed in.

I came to this restaurant because it had good reviews, but the food was terrible, all 4 portions, I ordered a pizza and they cut the edges because it was all burnt, the gyros had frozen potatoes and very few, the burger chicken smelled bad!! when I called the waiter, they started yelling and arguing. the chimneys were very dirty, I will attach pictures. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT, it was a terrible experience!!!

This is a nice small sandy beach, the lounges are €10, there is a small car park. The food is good, the toilets and changing area are ok.
Fake processed schnitzel, pre-made pizza base and one tiny piece of tough lamb in a 22 euro dish, limp cold chips and then to be argued with that I'm the first person to complain about the schnitzel and they're not a restaurant, they're a snack bar so it's ok to serve pre-made schnitzel. Not authentic Greek food at all. Just preying on the tourists. Also listening to the manager sitting at his desk yelling at employees. Don't argue with customers, rule #1 the Greeks seem to not understand. Yes I'm Greek so I can say this. Also waited over 30 min for pre-made frozen food. I JUST GOT YELLED AT BY T HE MANAGER in front of all the customers for complaining and telling him he is lying after he told me that the schnitzel was made fresh by the chef and then frozen, not factory pre-made . Then his other staff members all surrounded us as he was yelling at us and threatening us. DON'T go to this place unless you want to potentially get hurt. He got upset because I pointed at him while complaining. Poor guy, my finger was going to hurt him. Nasty nasty people.

The service is a huge part of what makes this place so special. Everyone is friendly, smiling, and welcoming, and Katerina, who serves the food and also handles the payments, is a true professional. She makes you feel at home from the moment you sit down.
The food is freshly made, rich in flavor and simply delicious. We tried moussaka at many restaurants on the island, but this one was the best by far — you can taste every ingredient and appreciate its freshness.
There’s convenient parking right next to the restaurant. If you’re in Zakynthos and looking for a friendly place with great food and service, this is a place for you. We’re already looking forward to our next meal here!

The food simply melts in your mouth. Everything is fresh, aromatic, and beautifully served. The portions are really big, so no one will leave hungry. But be careful – the ‘large’ size is truly HUGE 🤣 The staff is friendly and smiling, and the atmosphere is pleasant. What an incredible restaurant, we’ve been here multiple times throughout our stay and will keep coming back for the duration. Never had a bad meal here. Staff are so friendly especially the lady on the reception where you pay your bill who calls you “lovely” and also special shout out to the staff member lady that works during the day, she always greets us with a warm welcome and can’t do enough for you. We had one poor evening where service was terrible besides the food which is always on par, but we gave them grace as it was so busy at the time, but 25 mins to get a drink was a bit much after asking a waiter who said he’d be back in a moment, never came back, we felt forgotten about this evening. Also are starter plates were still on the table when they arrived with our mains, I just thought this was a bit poor service as I work in the industry myself and would never serve the mains without removing the starters first. But nonetheless, the food is always exceptional and plentiful. Portions are big so come with an appetite. Definitely give it a try, during the day is less busy so I would suggest going then for lunch and you’ll be greeted by a lovely lady there. Even the takeaway food we got was fab and was delivered to our hotel. Highly recommend. The Baklava is out of this world so definitely give that a go too.

We discovered this little gem while on holiday in Greece, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible! Every dish was fresh, full of authentic Greek flavors, and beautifully presented. The grilled octopus was perfectly tender, the moussaka rich and comforting, and the Greek salad tasted like sunshine on a plate — so simple yet bursting with flavor. We also loved the house wine and couldn’t resist finishing with a delicious baklava and a shot of ouzo.
What truly made the experience special was the staff — friendly, genuine, and clearly proud of what they do. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made sure we had everything we needed.

We had such a lovely experience at Rua Mat! Every single waiter/waitress was incredibly kind. The service was truly warm and welcoming. The food portions were absolutely massive and very reasonably priced, great value for money! And the pancake… wow, it was insanely delicious – definitely one of the best we’ve ever had. Apprehensive trying Indian food in Greece as we felt like we should be having Gyros every night!
Madras as spicy as you would get in a British Indian takeaway (often European countries can have very mild curries even the spicy ones). Masala good flavour and the consistency of both curries was good.
Huge portion of pilau rice.
Starter sharing for 2 was a good selection served with sauces. Papadoms would have been nice with it as I would suggest that is very common practice in every Indian restaurant I’ve been to in any country.
Chips are just fries which was disappointing as was hoping for proper Indian style chips not fries.
And finally, I asked and paid for chicken tikka in my curry but was just chicken. Or the chicken tikka they serve is poor quality.
Overall can’t complain was a flavourful meal and good value.
Amazing food and staff. The family running the business were amazing and lovely to talk with. A good break after 4 weeks in Greece (we had Chinese and Indian on separate nights). Very impressed with both. Orange Duck and lamb chops sizzling, where our favourites.

After reading mixed reviews we were a bit wary coming here for dinner. But when we arrived we received a warm welcome from the staff. Very attentive and happy to help. We got a mix of Indian and Chinese and I can whole heartedly say it was a great meal.

I went this restaurant this evening with my family and it was absolutely lovely! The staff are very friendly and was very child friendly and involved my son.
The food tasted fresh and came hot. The prices are a little higher then some of the places but the portions are big so definitely get what you pay for and I’d rather pay more for a good meal, I’d say it’s the nicest food I’ve had this time in zante so I Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again before the end of the holiday and again next year!

Fantastic food here. Our family loved the traditional food. The atmosphere being set away from the main road was quiet until the hotel next door began their Greek night! It didn't spoil the meal but the competition with the restaurant music was annoying at times. Still worthy of a visit as the food was so good.
Really nice family run restaurant with great service. Big portions so you get your moneys worth. Just off the main strip so nicer atmosphere, and a lovely pet dog who is very friendly. 10/10 dinner spot feels very homely.
What a spot 🥰 lamb roast was the special for the day which my husband had, i tried some and it was very very good 👌🏻 meatball soutsoukakai was calling my name on the menu, guys, I am not exaggerating when I say it was phenomenal 🤤 staff very friendly, dog on site, also very friendly. All the dishes taste like real home cooking, just as if your mom or grandma made them — and that’s no surprise, since the taverna is run by a lovely Greek family. You’ll find all the Greek classics here, like moussaka, kleftiko, and many more. The portions are very generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry, and the prices are very reasonable too.
Guests are welcomed like dear friends, and even when all the tables are full (which happens quite often!), the owners always find a solution.
I highly recommend this place — it’s warm, heartfelt, and full of Greek soul!
The food is very good! It's a family buisness so expect to be treated 2x better than a normal restaurant. They also have a dog that loves being pet. It's their dog so it's well kept and fed. Anyways expect a very pleasant experience and treatment.
A step back in time, service and food top class. Staff were excellent, carafe of wine €11 and food was made from the heart and very wholesome. Worth the 2 minutes detour off the tourist trail.

I pleasantly stumbled on this 👌 restaurant 👍 now I have to come back before leave & dine in next time. Service was wonderful, very reasonably priced and plus the all lady’s chefs with a smile.
I returned the next night to dine in to have, they truly yummy Moussaka! Totally reminded me of my Mum‘s cooking.. 😋 service still fabulous food 👌

Overall, it was great. However, the fried squid was quite greasy, so ordering a salad together is a must. The souvlaki was tender, well-seasoned, and very delicious. The apple pie was a bit different from the style I used to have in Germany. The staff were friendly and the service was good.
We ate here sunday night with no reservation, food was beautiful traditional dishes we had vine leaves & cheese parcels for starters & lamb kleftico beef stefado for mains. With 2 beers the bill was 50 euros very reasonable & well worth it.
We came without reservation and we’re sat right away. The staff is adorable, everyone is so nice and lovely!
The food arrived in 10 minutes, it was perfectly cooked, flavour well balanced, meat so soft that it was falling apart. Portions are big, enough when you’re very hungry. Even side dishes are perfectly cooked.
In two words - best restaurant in Zakynthos! Bravo!
We had a really great time here. Everyone there has a certain job, one takes your order, one brings it to you, they are very organized. The food is so good that we ate there 4 time out of our 7 day's stay. We had the Vrisaki seabass, souvlaki, mousaka, and a few starters. Everything tasted great, and it made us want to come back again. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff is so friendly, they always ask if everything is alright and they pay attention to the people. Also we chatted a bit with the owner, who seems a really nice guy and cares about customers.
P.s.: they don't rush you to get in the restaurant, they don't lie to you about the freshness of the food like in other places in Alikanas.

Five stars isn‘t even enough. The staff was really nice and welcoming and I knew the food would be amazing, as soon as I saw five elderly greek women in the kitchen. I‘ll probably go there again tomorrow.

A very bustling restaurant. Staff are very friendly and very keen to explain the menu. Our food was top class, the right size portions so no waste and you can avoid chips for either local Greek potatoes or rice. At €13 a litre house wine very good value for money. For 2 mains, water and 1L house wine @ €41 excellent value for the quality. Even though it can get very busy the flow of food drinks are at a good pace.
The best restaurant on the whole island! Amazing dishes, always fresh with perfectly balanced taste. We can highly recommend Halloumi salad, Lamb shank, Elia pasta and definitely Chicken ala cream which was perfect. Prices are really good and portions are big. Super friendly, English speaking staff :) We visited it multiple times during our stay.
This is the best restaurant in Alikanas. The food is fresh everyday- we only found out about this place on our 5th day of holiday and kept going for dinner every night until we left. Not only the food is great, but the owner and their staff are super nice and professional. On our last night they’ve offered us a delicious typical dessert from Zante

Went for dinner with family, had zucchini fritter starters and they were incredible. Then waited around 45 minutes for dinner to come out for my partner and her mums mussels to be stone cold and very tough as well as the fact they had already pre-opened the mussels so no way of knowing whether or not the mussel is good or bad. Which you know by seeing them in there original state cooked. When asking the staff as to why they were open they didn’t seem to care for our concern and were generally quite rude. Would not recommend to anyone going we had been next door the night before and generally had a better experience
Very nice and spacious rooms.
We stayed în triple room but fitted 4 persons without problem.
Most of the rooms have street view and if you like to sleep with windows opened until 23:30-24:00 its pretty busy and some noise will be heard, but în the morning its all quiet until 9:00.
I recomand it.
The restaurant has various, very good food and some of romanian cuisine.
Do not ever get mussels from this place. They came cold, rubbery and open. We spoke to the staff about it and multiple people just walked away and is on the more expensive side for the area. There is a nice place next to it which is 10 times better.
Family ran, amazing place! Great vibes, very clean and can't do enough for you! Highly recommended! Can't wait to go back!

Opos Palia is a local restaurant located just a short walk from the Acropolis Museum in Athens. We really liked this tavern. We had lunch here in the summer. We took two tables outside. We were served very quickly. The food turned out to be very delicious. The prices were reasonable. I liked the green salad and the stuffed tomatoes and peppers. My wife liked the octopus. A special shoutout to the person who created the cocktail menu. You don't find craft beer in every Greek tavern. The beer here was excellent. The homemade lemonade was also good. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Athens and try local cuisine.

Very good restaurant in town, the price is incredibly friendly, but the food and taste are also fantastic, be aware: the portion is big, but it is so yummy. We have 7 people, ordered 10 dishes, we afraid that we have to waste the food, but no, we finished all! Recommend the fried shrimp and squid, lamb, 4 cheeses mushroom, and eggplant in the oven!
This restaurant was recommended by my guide who lives nearby, and it turned out to be a great find! It’s located very close to the Pantheon but away from the busy tourist streets which gives it a much more local feel. There’s plenty of seating though you might need to wait a few minutes to be seated during peak hours.
I liked it so much that I went there twice. So far I’ve tried the moussaka, Greek salad, and local meatballs with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and I could barely finish my meal. Highly recommend this place for authentic food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Had a good experience dining here - tried the shrimp saganaki (excellent and highly recommended), moussaka as well as the grapevine wrapped rice. All in all, a pleasant experience as food was served promptly. It’s a very popular place so staff might be hard to get the attention of at times.
Very close to Acropolis, but not in the tourist traps area and quite authentic. The service was very nice. Greek food options for all tastes. We enjoyed all dishes and the overall cost was very convenient.
True to it's name, Opos Palia feeds you a lot of delicious food and doesn't take much in return, we paid just 13 euros for the most memorable meal. There's a lot of seating outside and a little inside, but the only downside to this is that you are at the mercy of smokers lighting up. If this bothers you, I'd urge you to bear with it because the food is O so good!

They were both so good and such generous portions that we couldn't eat any more. Will definitely go back a few more times.

The place is easy to find, right next to a busy road and sidewalk. My wife and I went twice during our visit to Athens. The service is lightning fast! They have a huge menu, and food is served the moment it’s ready. The food was delicious—the sausage plate was amazing! Come hungry, because the portions are huge. Also, order everything you need at the start, as servers won’t come back to check on you.
Simple Greek food well located, near the acropolis museum. Food was good, particularly the chickpea salad. Service was average. There was one lady server who had an attitude problem and didn’t smile much. The others were friendly. I would think twice about going again, only because of the service.

We drove by and saw the open now sign and came in, the owner said they just opened yesterday (4/12). We ordered the lamb dish and grilled sea bass and a mussels appetizer. The fish is quite big (probably 5-600 grams), and the lamb portion is good as well. Great meal and we felt really full afterwards. Truly family owned, with an old couple and their son and daughter (in-law?) all working in the restaurant.
No wonder this restaurant is 2nd in Alykanas! That BBQ smell is amazing!
We had the grilled sea bream , salmon fillet, chicken spit and ham, cheese, and bacon pizza. All dishes were to die for and really tasted amazing 👏.
As for the staff, all so friendly and welcoming compliments to the chef for his amazing fish again.

Been here several times on our visits to Alykanas, always amazing food and great service and it’s also very reasonable. Fish and of course the grilled meats are excellent. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant but it gets busy so book or arrive early.

Just had a dreadful meal at Carissimo, clearly a popular restaurant. I don't understand why or how such a well rated place can get it so wrong. The owner sat me at a table right next to the water feature, it had a dirty table cloth. I tried to order Garlic Mushrooms as a starter, but the owner said no, he'd bring me Mushrooms a la Creme, I said I wanted Garlic Mushrooms but he still gave me Mushrooms a la Creme. I didn't want to make a fuss so I scraped off the thick cream & ate them thinking oh well they weren't what I wanted & I don't really like cream & there's no garlic but that I was looking forward to the Peperoni Pizza. Sadly it was awful. It wasn't Peperoni, it was some kind of ham & it was smothered in cheese totally hiding the mystery ham, the cheese was so thick it was like rubber. To try to make it taste like Peperoni they'd also added a chilli or cayenne pepper, way too much, my mouth is burning. The crust of the pizza was rock hard - probably because they'd had too overcook it to melt the think cheese. All in all the worst meal out I've had in a long time.

Gluten Free! The pizza, at €21, was decent, though not quite the premium quality you’d hope for at €40 before adding starters and desserts. The staff made a small mix-up, initially serving regular bread despite our gluten-free request, but they promptly corrected it. My wife felt a bit uneasy about the meal’s safety, which put a slight damper on our evening, but the effort to accommodate us was clear.

Situated away from the other restaurants, this place has a nice shabby chic feel to it. Greeted by two members of staff who were full of smiles.
Starters we had were:
Prawn cocktail - sauce and prawns with the salad on the bottom absolutely spot on, just what I needed after having all the greek food.
Onion rings - all freshly made and homemade!
Hummus and Pita - all homemade and far tastier than other places we have been to.
Mains:
Mixed grill - Pork belly was very tasty and nicely grilled and had that greek flavour to it. The village sausage was the best I've had since I've been here. The chips (some people may hate me) were the best part of the dish! All freshly, home made with just some nice seasoning of salt, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
Belly pork - again the same as the mixed grill one we had.
Pizza margarita - freshly baked dough - made this pizza fantastic!
Overall, everything is done there, and then all homemade!

Great restaurant. The rabbit stew was delicious and the swordfish my son had was the freshest tasting I'd had in years. Lovely servers and there were geckos on the walls hunting bugs which kept us and everyone else in the restaurant entertained for a while.

This restaurant is located just behind Busters bar and is quite small. I would imagine it gets very busy in high season so might be worth booking a table, because the food is worth the visit. I had lamb in the oven and my wife had the pork chop, both were cooked perfectly by Claire. We finished of by having the Banoffee pie, homemade and very tasty. We're going to visit again as we hear the cheesecake is fantastic as well.
This is a lovely family Greek restaurant, it's small and can be very warm but everywhere is warm in Greece 😊the staff are very friendly and go over and above to accomadate and look after their customers, we were here 2 year's ago and enjoyed the food so we returned and still tasty, I love fish and seafood and had the platter off seafood but I thought the Calamari was a little chewy but the cat licked it's lips, himself had the Calamari and oven potatoes and licked his lips aswell 😋, it was busy but the kitchen was sending out dishes very quick, the little lady Aphrodite is only young but she was great at service and definitely will be a big asset to the family restaurant 😀
Probably the worst place we visited for food on our holiday. It was edible, but we saved most if it for the hungry cats roaming about. This place needs to up its game as restaurants close by are several notches up on this one.

A great location in the middle of the strip. This place is great for a snack meal on the way home. Wine is cheapest so far at €9 a litre and the white was ok. The food is fast and very tasty, with good size portions. The staff are a happy bunch, so cheers for looking after us.

The dining experience at Greco's Restaurant Αλικανάς was superb. The aubergines infused with garlic and tomato were delectable, bursting with flavor. Moreover, the addition of coriander heightened the taste sensation. It was revealed that these delightful ingredients were sourced from their own garden by Alexander, adding a personal touch to the dish. The Greek salad served was generously portioned and satisfyingly abundant.
Amazing food! Everything in the menu is prepared right there so everything is super fresh. You have to try the fish soup, the seabass with ratatouille vegetables...well everything. Super friendly staff and they are doing all to please you.
The food is not very expensive but the quality is TOP! It's worth coming back every evening and I definitely recommend you try this restaurant. Will be money well spent.

Ordered sea food varietes for 2 for 55€ based on picture outside.
Most of it was fried so it had no taste and it were missing a crab.
Best part were tomatoes and onions.
Restaurant itself needs a renovation to look modern and not so old looking.
Waiter had to be called when we had an empty table.
A disappointment overall.

The grilled octopus was melting in my mouth,the squid also very good.

Had octopus with fava beans. Was as good as I hoped. We got some orange cake, it was awesome.
Really overpriced seafood restaurant, had to wait over an hour for food and when the seafood platter arrived it was nothing like the picture we were shown, overall the food was over cooked and cold when we ate it. As we had waited so long we ate it. The owner said they were under staffed and offered a free ice cream and still charged €90. I’d avoid this place as so many cheaper far better restaurants around the town.
One of the few places in the area where they serve fresh fish and fresh sea food. They own also a fish market so you can eat the day catch. Food is excellent, came here several times during our vacation
Amazing seafood. Some of the best meals we've had in Alykanas. Just a shame they seem to struggle to get customers. Please do give them a chance. You won't regret it.

Oasis Beach Bar is undoubtedly a gem on the island, offering an idyllic setting for both dining and relaxation. With its homemade dishes that tantalize your taste buds and a menu brimming with diverse options, it’s hard to resist spending time here. The attentive service, highlighted by the charming David, ensures every visit feels special. Guests can unwind on complimentary sunbeds just steps from the sea while enjoying stunning views.
It's a perfect bar for the amazing beach you have in front of it. It offers you a lot of food and drinking options. Also there are around 20-30 sunbeds which aren't on the sand but are quite near the sea and with a beautiful view. They're absolutely free as long as you are a client of the restaurant. Each couple of sunbeds get two chairs and a table for your comfort.

Truly the nicest place to eat or drink on the island. The most amazing setting & fabulous home made food you could wish for. The service is second to none, a particular mention to David who served us and entertained us all week. The nightly entertainment was superb, a friendly game of pool to finish off the night. Thanks to the owner Denis who works so hard to make this all possible.

The other reviews are truthful. This place is amazing and the owner so relaxed and attentive. Even drove off the wasps for us.
A lot of cats on premise. Had the mushroom risotto, the shrimp skewers, tempura shrimp, coffee, some tea.
Everything was as it should be.
And the whole vibe of the place is "home". Definitely stop by and eat here.

We had late breakfast here and get the Greek eggs and a greek bruschetta, both really good. It was late in the season, so not many people and low atmosphere. The view was nice and staff was sweet and helpful.

We visited this family-run restaurant twice and loved it both times! The food is very fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is really cozy, and the service is warm and welcoming. A true gem – we highly recommend!
We had lunch, very tasty food nicely presented on the plate, corect price, quiet place, nice atmosphere, excellent view over the sea. I recommend it.
If you are on the beach get the real Greek frappe from Epsilon.

My husband and I enjoyed both dinner and a later dessert with wine here. The owners provide wonderfully friendly service, making you feel truly welcome. They focus on a small menu of dishes made with fresh ingredients, and the owner's wife cooks beautifully. Expect generous portions that will satisfy any appetite.
Their wine knowledge and selection are top-notch, and we were even treated to a really delicious dessert wine. Plus, the gorgeous sea view adds to the charm. Highly recommended for a genuine, delicious, and well-paired dining experience!

Lovely new restaurant this year, shame it's just on the edge of the strip, otherwise it would be very busy, it's Greek food with a twist. I had fish and the chef de-boned it for me and.was probably the nicest bit of fish I had in two weeks (sea breem). All well presented and decent prices. Had to take a picture of the toilet sink, very unusual 😂😂

Nestled in the charming town of Alykanas, Jester’s Kitchen Bar has quickly become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors alike. Opened this year, it offers two distinct menus: one featuring delightful breakfast and lunch options from 8 AM to 4 PM, and another serving up an array of mouthwatering dishes from 4 PM until late at night. The culinary offerings are diverse, showcasing a mix of English and Greek cuisine that caters to all tastes.
A superb meal last night at this seasons new eatery, Jesters in Alykanas. We decided to have our very own burger night and shared the starters. Jane and the team were brilliant with attentive service. The food was exceptional and great value. We will be returning here soon to try more of the menu.

The restaurant was just asking the main strip in Alykanas. We went here mainly for the Sunday roast as we'd heard only here and the Roadhouse restaurant offered it. Unfortunately they only had chicken roast left which was a little disappointing. No beef or lamb available which was strange as it wasn't busy and we got there early evening.
Anyway the roast chicken was very good even if not the best presented. You got chicken, roast potatoes, mash, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding and a nice gravy. They had mint sauce and horseradish to offer.
My son had the bacon burger and said that was equally excellent.
We followed the mains with a some desserts, banana split, lemon meringue cheesecake & lotus biscuit cake. All were delicious.
Overall a lovely meal and price was very reasonable.
What an amazing restaurant ! not only was the staff so kind and accommodating, the food was delicious, reflecting the quality and care put into each dish, from main courses to desserts. All dishes tasted incredibly fresh and came out at the same time. We were also kindly given complimentary melon by the sweet staff (which was homegrown !) Couldn’t recommend more, a real wholesome family restaurant.
Had breakfast there most mornings and it was excellent, much better than the place we were staying close by. Can't comment on lunch/evening meal. So would recommend for breakfast.
Jester’s is a wonderful restaurant in Zakynthos run by the best family. Billy in the kitchen and Jane the host are amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. The beef stifado was so yum and the feta in filo with honey was mouthwatering. Will definitely be coming back!

We had an 2 excellent meals, so good, in fact, that we went back again! Everything was impeccable, from the food to the warm and welcoming service by our host, Jane. We asked for menu recommendations and when the dishes arrived, we were not disappointed. The stuffed peppers were divine, and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. I truly can’t fault the service—top marks all around!
Found this place on day 2 of our holidays, had our breakfasts for the rest of our stay there.Food is amazing all freshly cooked, tried the jester special burger could not finish it. Very generous portion sizes. Baklava cheesecake to die for, I think my granddaughter polished off all the maple syrup and honey pancakes. So to Jayne and staff thank you for the lovely food and atmosphere your kitchen bar oozes, not to mention the extra stone you put on me. Hope to be back soon and do it all over again, all five of us plus the granddaughter. Thank you

Just on the edge of town this place has it all. It has a beautiful setting in its own gardens set back from the road all spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The owner and his family work hard to make sure everything is perfect you can see into the kitchen and watch them cooking your food using fresh ingredients. Amazing food but you will have to go there and taste it for yourself and don’t leave it too late in your holiday because you will want to go back
The food was amazing. The best gyros I have had in the area. The Kontosouvli was mega and the specials were brilliant. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you are in the area.
Nice little restaurant just along the main road on the way to Alykes from Alykanas. Set back from the road it was quiet and not overly busy. There was a small trampoline for young kids and some having seats and caged birds in the garden.
The service was very quick and the food was excellent. We had the kids chicken souvlaki, gyros pizza, chicken souvalki and bekri meze. The pizza base was not homemade but apart from that the rest was lovely.
They were very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the puddings we wanted they had run out of, but it didn't spoil our meal. Pricing was very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
Amazing place for food. Even though we were the only ones there (went at 3pm) made to feel very welcome and could tell that the place would be buzzing with a positive atmosphere when busy.

The guy Tony who runs the place is absolutely lovely and a bundle if joy , the food is immaculate and I would say is thus restaurant is the best restaurant in zakynthos.
Great little restaurant and super family/child friendly. It's all outside so the kids can play in the garden and you can see them from your table. There is a little trampoline, see-saw, football and a few birds in a cage which kept our lot occupied.
There are shaded tables slightly inside and they have large umbrellas too.
The food was delicious and good value for money.
Great meal,kind people and lovely atmosphere! 😇
