Beautiful restaurant with very cool decoration and atmosphere. The service was also brilliant, it is for for the reason that I give it 4 stars. The food however did not live up to expectations, too much salt on all dishes and the menu wasn't Greek enough for me. When I Greece I prefer to eat very Greek dishes, this restaurant seemed to be more global to cater for tourists which some may love but it wasn't the best for me.

The pork shank / loin here deserves no less than five stars! Slow cooked, well seasoned, generous portions. Waiter recommended a good wine that went perfectly with our food. Furthermore: cosy interior & very friendly staff that attends to your every need.

Casa Grec is literally the best dining experience I have ever had ... and you just need to take one look at me to see I've had a LOT of dining experiences. We came to Argostoli for just two nights from Fiskardo. Our plan was to eat out on night one. Do a boat trip on day two and then eat out somewhere else on night two. We chose Casa Grec, based upon a recommendation for night one. We loved it so much, we booked it again for night two. From the outside it doesn't look particularly exciting, nor when you first step in. It's a different story when you are shown to the dining area, however. The setting is like a rustic courtyard; traditional, beautiful and very unique. The photos do not do it justice. As it goes dark the mood lighting creates an ambience that is simply wonderful. The service is absolutely top class; friendly, helpful, polite and attentive. This is a very professionally run establishment. The food was simply stunning. The first night I had pork shank. It fell off the bone and was seasoned spectacularly. My wife had grilled salmon and it was delicious. The second night my wife had beef short rib which was excellent. I had the pepper steak, which was so tender it was like cutting through butter. From the setting, to the quality of food, to the service, Casa Grec is second to none.

We were recommended this amazing restaurant by a friend we lived it that much we did a second visit on our weeks holiday, the place is so special and the food is amazing with a menu that blows you away, also the staff and the owners treat you with such friendliness and efficiency, I would highly recommend this special place and cannot wait to return one day from the Uk, thanks so much for making our holiday memories.

I have been visiting Greece every summer in the pat few years. And I have always experience amazing Greek hospitality! Unfortunately the visit to this restaurant was a let down. 1. One of the waiters was very rude. Definitely not welcoming! He even threw the receipt to us on the table in a very arrogant and disrespectful manner! 2. Some of the dishes were good, specially pork. Maybe we were wrong to order pasta in Greece (although the restaurant claims to offer Greek/ Italian food), but it was tasteless! The grilled octopus was overcooked and burned. The saganaki cheese was average. On a positive note, the house wine was cheap, chilled and lovely. Other waiters were a little kinder. Restaurant ambience is nice. Overall experience, unfortunately due to the waiter (even rejecting our 5% tip, due to the poor service and medium quality food/ we lef the pasta and only ate the prawns), and the quality of all food, was poor. After 12 years visiting the Balkans, I believe I understand the culture. But the hosts in this restaurant are definitely not friendly! And food is definitely not memorable. I have included a picture of my bill to verify I was there tonight. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Fantastic restaurant. Excellent quality food with care in a great setting. The menu offers some great alternatives to the ’standard’ greek menu. The owners and staff are very welcoming and happy to assist however they can. Would return and recommend. Our third time at this restaurant! Everything excellent!

Ampelaki has set a high bar as our first dinner in Kefalonia. The moussaka is quite possibly one of the best I've ever had - creamy and rich. The grilled octopus with beans was also exquisite. The sauce on the rabbit was delicious, but the gameyness of it wasn't quite my taste. No matter, the dessert of patsavouropita was to die for and made up for it. Service was genuine, warm, and attentive.

Amazing shop! Recommended! The sea bream fillet was impeccable, the calamari perfectly fried, and the pastitsio divine! Cooked at the moment, individually in a clay pot. Be sure to get the crab meatballs and the cheese pie. All handmade and fresh. The staff was very kind, they responded whenever we needed them. All this in a nice environment by the sea and at absolutely reasonable prices. Well done!!! Keep going!

The food was good over all excepting the moussaka witch was rly bad(tasteless). That was disappointing. But the fresh fried calamari was insane. Probably the best calamari I ate in Greece in the last 5 years. French fries were good also. The service is nice, everything else is perfect. I guess the only issue was the moussaka.

The food was soooo delicious, one of the most things we liked in Kefalonia, there is a little bit noise and the service a little slow , some cats may bother you but it was fine , I would recommend it if you are in Argostoli

We had our first meal in Argostoli, Kefalonia at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The pastitsio was one of the best I’ve ever ate. The balance with the béchamel sauce was spot on and not too rich at all. My dad enjoyed his meat dish while mum enjoyed the pastitsio as well. The complimentary dessert hit the spot. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is in front of the sea sidearea in Argostoli. The food, the atmosphere, the service everything was great. They brought everything surprisingly quick and we ate rather fast but kept nibbling when the manager of the restaurant sent 4 different people in 15’ minutes to ask us if we were finished! We really felt like they were shoving us out of the restaurant! Ps. We did a reservation a day before and nobody informed us about a time slot so this behavior was somewhat rude to us…

Very very tasty. Loved our rolls and the desserts (profiteroles, kadaifi ekmek) were incredible. Although we do have to say we got carried away by trying to share two between just us two. The dessert portions are quite big!

The service is incredible, the staff made us feel cared for every part of the meal, including moving us to a nicer table partway through the meal! The food was excellent after we had our fair share of greek tavernas and wanted a change!!!

First of all the sushi was good, but the service was completely bad, we ordered 2 extra mayo sauce, but they didn’t bring any with the sushi, we had to remind the waiter, then he brought only one, and they made us pay for 2 as you see on the receipt, and when we first arrived at the restaurant, there was plenty of tables available but once we came the waiter told us she doesn’t have a place for 3 without even checking or looking , she answered right away with no efforts of showing that she cares to let us in, but then another guy came(who looked like he was in charge) and he let us in smoothly, lastly the place where we were sitting was pouring water from a pipe on one of my friends, so it wasn’t the best experience, also the waiter refused to divide the amount by 3 which is something so easy to do, i wouldn’t recommend this place considering its high prices and low quality service :/

Who would've thought a sushi restaurant in kefalonia would be the best food we ate on our trip. Not cheap but Great food. And presented so well. Delicious flavouring. Very friendly staff. So good that we ate here twice in our 5 night stay on the island. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is located on the mountainside with a breathtaking view of the coastline and the ancient fortress. Professional and fast staff, a varied menu that also offers classic dishes of the island alongside more unique dishes. We ordered a Greek salad and grilled octopus for starters which was really excellent. For mains we ordered the pasta dish with oxtail which was really excellent and special, and a steak which my wife always orders well down and for a change the steak came out perfect!! Chefs are usually hesitant to do such a degree of work and miss, their chef managed to bring the piece to the right degree of work and maintain its juiciness at the same time. It should be noted that there were a lot of bees, the staff provided smoke-emitting devices to effectively keep them away. In short, an excellent restaurant with amazing.

The food was good - not just tourist fare but actually good. If this restaurant was in Athens it would be good. I had the meatballs - cooked into they fall apart with homemade tomato sauce. The grilled vegetables were also very good - healthy, tasty. Beautiful views over the valley.

So many good things. Staff were perfect, views were perfect, food was perfect, cats were cute. Moussaka is my favourite Greek dish so I try it often, and this was by far the best one I found in Kefalonia. The bread and dip was sooo good. Grilled veggies were simple but perfect as they were. The steak looked good. Nice espresso after. It was pretty warm and quiet when we were there, and the staff even gave me an ice-cream after paying while they also enjoyed one. Would absolutely come back here again to visit the castle during opening hours.

This restaurant felt a bit more touristy, with many English visitors, not the classic taverna style I was looking for. The view was beautiful, and the food was good, but the place is definitely more upscale. It’s a lovely restaurant and was recommended to me, but it wasn’t quite what I had in mind. The portions were smaller compared to other places. I personally didn’t mind, but the guys in our group were a bit disappointed by that. On the other hand, the dessert was absolutely amazing, the portokalopita came with ice cream on top and it was incredible!

One of the best restaurants we tried in Kefalonia. The location is beautiful and well kept, with a romantic atmosphere and a stunning view over the coastline and the ancient fortress. The staff is professional and fast, and the menu combines traditional Greek dishes with more unique options. We had pita bread, tzatziki, olives, grilled octopus and cheese loukoumades to start, all excellent. For mains we tried the moussaka and the chicken “Il Borgo”, both very good with the moussaka being particularly abundant. Prices are fair and the service attentive. We left very satisfied and will definitely return.

Whilst it looks dark from the outside, the restaurant has a great terrace at the back covered with vines and wonderful views over towards Argostoli. The food is really nice and reasonably priced. The “Nymfi” beer is excellent. Service is friendly and easy.

A panoramic view from this place. The staff very kind, the food very tasty. Getting to the good part, the apple crumble with the ice cream is out if this world. I am do glad I took a photo of it and even more that I decided to order it and that I actually had it. Incredibly tasty, a must try...!!!

A great spot in Lassi with a beautiful sunset if you can get there for that time. The staff were friendly and attentive at the start but did forget about us near the end. The food was all excellent, we had the shrimp orzo and the usual starters and then a really nice dessert. Good local wine and Ouzo.

This is a lovely restaurant which if you are lucky to get a table for sunset then the views will be incredible. The staff were friendly and attentive. I have to day the food is exceptionally good - i had the pork chops and my wife had seafood pasta. The kids also enjoyed their food.

A delightful dining experience with a view. The feta with honey provided a sweet and perfect start, followed by flawlessly fried cod. I finished with a dessert that tasted a bit like carrot cake and a glass of ouzo. Portion sizes were generous, the service attentive and caring, and the view absolutely fantastic.

Sto Psito is an absolute gem in Lassi. Everything is fantastic - the food, the atmosphere, as well as the owner and staff. We felt so special and the meal was delicious. 10/10 highly recommend!

Amazing. Had a dinner for 18 guests. Christos and Denise helped us make the perfect menu so that everyone could taste the local specialties. The place is beautiful, especially at sunset. Restaurant in a perfect location in the center of the main square Modern and inviting design, there is seating both inside and outside. In terms of food, some were more successful and some less so My wife and I visited twice. The dishes we liked the most were the Kaplani Kadayif dish, which was excellent and special, and the rib eye steak. We were less impressed with the meatballs, and the shrimp pasta dish, which we found to be quite anemic and came with only 4 shrimp (22 euros!). A small note to the restaurant - if you charge 39 euros for a steak dish, you can also give an extra side dish without paying extra.. This just creates a feeling of exploitation of the customer who wants a full dish. Apart from that, a great restaurant, you just have to choose the right dishes

Wow… honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. We had the bone marrow which was cooked beautifully, I had the beef cheeks which melt in your mouth and my partner had the sea urchin pasta. I had the chocolate passion dessert and my partner had the melograno dessert, both were not only plated beautifully but had such a balance in favour. Our server Ryan was the kindest person, so helpful and happy to explain dishes or give his recommendations. 10/10 would recommend coming here, you’d be a fool not too

Me and my girlfriend visited here on our last night in kefalonia, and it was the perfect way to put an end to our holiday. The most amazing waiters and chefs I have ever come across. The best meal I've had this year. The lamb shank was so tender and what they did with the sauces was just extremely delicious. My girlfriend had the lobster pasta and she said it was perfectly flavourful and easy to eat. Our waitress was super friendly and even treated us to a drink on the house at the end. I very highly recommend this place it's a must visit

Melograno is a stylish and modern restaurant located in the heart of Argostoli, Kefalonia. The location is inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating that is clean, thoughtfully designed, and pleasantly decorated. The overall ambiance is elegant but relaxed, making it a nice spot for a quiet dinner or a special night out. The staff is young and friendly, adding a warm touch to the experience. However, be prepared to wait — both for your food and even for the bill. The service tends to be quite slow, with meals arriving up to 30 minutes after ordering, even when the place isn’t too busy. That said, the quality of the food does make up for the wait. We tried the prawns and pasta dishes — everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of rich, balanced flavors. It’s clear that the ingredients are carefully selected and the cooking is done with attention. On the downside, portions are relatively small, especially compared to the higher-end pricing (around 20–25€ for pasta). You may leave still feeling a bit hungry. Also, there’s no complementary bread at the beginning, although there’s no “coperto” charge, which is a fair trade-off. In summary, Melograno is perfect if you’re looking for refined flavors and a modern setting — just make sure you’re not in a rush and don’t mind paying a bit more for quality over quantity.

This was the best restaurant I have tried in Kefalonia!!!!! I strongly recommend you go there!!!! The food was so good, we wanted to try everything on the menu, sadly we couldn't eat anymore. We had the carpaccio, bone marrow and the beef cheeks- truly amazing. The mean was so soft and tender, it actually melts on the tongue. Congrats to the Chef! Spacious area. Great food and great service. Elaborate menu and for us all the dishes were tasty. Here I enjoyed the stuffed vine leaves the most out of all the restaurants. They offer some tasty local wines as well.

One of the best places in Kefalonia. The food was excellent. Their grilled veggies were really tasty and so soft. The service was excellent and the recommended dishes were a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend the place. I went there with my boyfriend and we were so happy that we went for dinner also the day after.

I can confidently say this is probably the best restaurant in Kefalonia. Everything we tried from the menu was absolutely delicious! Possibly the best garlic prawns I’ve ever had, and definitely the best baklava we tried on the island. The staff were very professional, polite and spoke excellent English, which made the experience even better. Honestly, the only downside was that we didn’t have enough days to come back and try more dishes from the menu. We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in Kefalonia!

Phaedra is a lovely restaurant located in Lassi, Kefalonia, with a welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff who make you feel at home from the start. The location is all outdoor, with plenty of seating and a cozy setup where you can even catch a beautiful sunset while dining. The food is truly delicious — fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The seabass is perfectly cooked and tender, while the prawns linguini is rich and full of taste — both highly recommended dishes. The fish is fresh and you can tell they really care about quality. Prices are in line with the area’s standards, and as a nice touch, they even offer you something at the end of your meal, which makes the experience even more pleasant. Overall, Phaedra is a great choice if you’re in Lassi and want to enjoy a relaxed dinner with good food, warm service, and a lovely sunset view.

We came here for the last 3 days and all I can say is that everything was perfect! The food, the service, the staff and the atmosphere! If we ever come back to Kefalonia, we will surely come back to this place!

Really good food, definitely a cut above the others on this strip. We had the saganaki cheese with tomato marmalade and kumquat confit, lovely. Then mains were the seafood souvlaki and the lamb shank in dark beer, olive oil and garlic sauce, both excellent. House rosë was quite drinkable too.

We had dinner here on a Monday night. The service was really good and the food was some of best we’ve had in Kefalonia. A nice spot in Lassi.

A cute restaurant with a view of the marina and the mountains with pleasant and professional service. The gamista (vegetarian stuffed vegetables) are delicious, but the pickled anchovy dish felt quality but bought, the meat pie was not ideally made and lacked seasoning. Overall, we may have fallen for less successful dishes. Worth another try

We visited Captain’s Table yesterday. The location is really beautiful, right by the water – the atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our visit. We ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, a double cheeseburger, the Chicken Caesar Burger, and an avocado toast. The Caesar Salad was disappointing – the dressing tasted heavily of mayonnaise and nothing like a real Caesar dressing. The chicken pieces were pre-fried, greasy, and didn’t taste fresh at all. The cheeseburger was inedible. The patty had an extremely high onion content, making it oddly creamy rather than meaty. There was no mention of onions on the menu – misleading and simply not tasty. The “fresh” fries were also not convincing. They were very crispy but overly oily, as if they had been fried more than once or reheated. Definitely not fresh. The chicken burger tasted very similar to the Caesar chicken – again, not fresh, likely frozen or pre-fried. The avocado toast was the low point: not fresh avocado, but an overripe, mushy cream with a spoiled taste. It was not edible – we left it untouched. The drinks were okay. But what really ruined the experience was the service. When we mentioned the issues, there was no reaction at all – no interest, no apology, nothing. Bottom line: beautiful location, but poor food and terrible service. Definitely not a place we would return to.

Guys, I usually don't talk to much about food, although I'm a foodie, but yesterday night I ate the BEST grilled octopus of my life and I'm not exaggerating, I've been visiting Greece for 10 years and no octopus has ever impressed me like this dish did. It melts in your mouth and combined with the puree makes it even better. The taste was divine. The staff was nice and hardworking. Thank you and my compliments to the chef!

We came here for brunch and loved the setting – a lovely spot with a nice atmosphere and a beautiful location. However, the food didn’t fully meet our expectations. My omelette was quite plain, and the English breakfast was a bit disappointing in both quality and taste. It’s definitely a place with potential, but the breakfast menu could use some improvement. Booking in advance is recommended, as it can get quite busy.

I had one of my most memorable meals in Kefalonia at Captain’s Table. This beautiful little taverna stole my heart with its authentic flavors, warm atmosphere, and peaceful seaside setting. The grilled octopus and grilled squid were simply amazing — fresh, tender, and cooked to perfection. You could truly taste the sea in every bite. It’s rare to find seafood so well-prepared, and here it felt like eating a dish made with love and tradition. The people were kind and welcoming, and the whole experience felt genuine and relaxed, like visiting a family home. If you're visiting Kefalonia and want to enjoy real Greek food in a beautiful spot, Captain’s Table is a must. I can’t wait to return.

We are visiting this restaurant every summer with my family for more than 15 years . The restaurant has a great relaxing ambience with beautiful sea view. The food is super tasty and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The owners are like family to us! Well done for your continuous effort!

Not sure what’s going on here. Anemic Greek salad with 0 olives, tiny amount of feta. Simple misunderstandings - pizza order was missed which wasn’t a big deal at all but lady got defensive saying we sidnt tell get yo out it in when it was the first thing we said and moved onto ordering other dishes. 2 dishes were brought to us that were not ours (1 photo shared of the sad fried potatoes that weren’t ours). Another pizza was brought to us then taken away, when we already had ours. None of this was a bother to us, just needs some refining for this price level as it is not a pool snack bar nor are the prices cheaper here than anywhere else. Servers working very hard, did a fine job. Food just wasn’t good, half warm and of course the disrespect to call that a Greek salad. Nice atmosphere in the square, would certainly return elsewhere. Only due to the lack of care to the taste and quality of the food, I wouldn’t return here.

I had a lovely time at Premier. I was greeted by Thanos who told me about the dishes of the day. I opted for salmon it was cooked to perfection. To drink I had a Premier Mai Tai. Although smaller than I was expecting it was absolutely delicious. To end I was served a delicious lemon ice cream in a cute cone. Thank you Thanos and Simon for your exceptional hospitality. Excellent restaurant with professional and friendly service. We ordered delicious Italian dishes—pizza, tomato pasta, and four-cheese pasta—all perfectly prepared. For dessert, we enjoyed outstanding Greek cakes: semolina-orange cake, baklava, and a semolina cake infused with liqueur. A wonderful culinary experience!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! We have just had 24 nights travelling around Kefalonia, and our two visits here over the past few days have been the gastronomical highlight of our holiday. Great view and incredible food that will never break the bank! Staff is was helpful and it's one of my healthy take out places! If your swimmer, there is a pook nearby. It is a 3 mon walk 50 meters. You need a medical. 10 euros! Then eat!

Great family restaurant to enjoy lunch. Plenty of pre-cooked food to choose from and very delicious! The price is great also! The owner was very friendly and helped explained the dishes available to select. We ordered the octopus pasta, the meatballs with cooked greens, the fish fillet with stuffed tomato, and the fish pie. We ordered too much food and was able to get a to go box for the fish pie. 😉 Soo full, in a food coma now! We will definitely return next time we are in Kefalonia!

Great hearty food with a lovely view and excellent value. Rabbit with tomato sauce was delicious, kefalonian fish pie was a highlight, Greek salad and phyllo baked cheese with honey and sesame were very tasty. And most importantly the draught beer is exquisitely cold.

Real traditional Greek food, and nothing touristy. The best meal we've had in Kefalonia in 5 days. Very friendly staff. You can sit comfortably on the patio, enjoy your meal and the scenery.

During our recent stay in the area, we visited this restaurant twice, and while the experiences were consistent in some ways, our feelings about the food varied between visits. One thing that remained constant was the fantastic staff. Every person we encountered was warm, friendly, and always smiling, which made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The service was quick and attentive on both occasions, which is always a huge plus. As for the food, our first visit was fantastic. We started with a fresh, vibrant salad and a flavorful fava spread that set the tone for what felt like a perfect dinner. The highlight, though, was the sea bream with orzo – cooked to perfection, with the orzo beautifully complementing the fish. We left very impressed and eager to return. Our second visit, however, didn’t quite live up to the first. This time, we ordered the octopus and the cod burger. Unfortunately, both dishes were underwhelming. The octopus lacked the tenderness and flavor we were hoping for, and the cod burger, while creative, didn’t match the quality of the sea bream we had before. Overall, it's a restaurant with great service and a cozy atmosphere, but consistency in the food quality was hit or miss. If you stick to their signature dishes, like the sea bream, you're in for a treat.

I decided to review with 5 stars even though there was a lot to waiting because the food was excellent and people were polite. Is the kitchen understaffed? Possibly. But the end result was tasty and the value you get for what you pay unbeatable.

Easily the best restaurant in Lixouri — and honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere in Greece after several trips across the islands. Avli blends Greek tradition with broader Mediterranean influences in the most delightful way. From the oven-warm homemade bread with salty pickle butter to the grand finale of a San Sebastian cheesecake, every dish is pure perfection — without the pretentiousness you sometimes get with fine dining. Special mention goes to the unique moussaka, which first drew us here after being featured on a well-known German culinary TV show. It literally melts in your mouth, and we couldn’t believe it costs only €12. I’m not saying they should charge more, but it would still be worth it at double the price. Another highlight: the Hünkar. We’d never heard of it before, but the creamy eggplant purée paired with the most tender veal (cooked for what must have been half a day) was unforgettable. We came twice in just three days — and would’ve happily returned again if their season hadn't come to a well deserved end. An absolute must-visit on Kefalonia, no matter where you’re staying on the island.

By far the best restaurant in Lixouri. Every dish, meat, fish or veggie just beautifully prepared and delicious. Gutted we only ate here twice this week.

After having a divine dinner with my wife at this heavenly restaurant, I told the staff I wanted to marry the chef. Friendly and attentive staff, especially the girl with curly hair and glasses who is wearing a “Tropical” t-shirt tonight. If you're in Kefalonia, you can't go home without stopping here. We've had dinner and lunch at many restaurants on the island, and I really think everyone else should come and take cooking lessons at this restaurant. I won't say anything else!

Really lovely food. I found this place through Google and am very glad I did. I had the moussaka which was amazing - very very tasty. We also had some chips and various dips for starter. The waitress spoke English which was very helpful and recommended some lovely wine. The venue was small but clean and not too noisy so you can hear each other speak which is as good. In terms of the other people - the one of the Kefalonia meat pies was burnt which was a shame and the other wasn’t but was a bit dry and needed some gravy - which other restaurants offer. The main meals like moussaka and pie need a salad or vegetable to go with it as you do only get the pie or the moussaka - so not a complaint but just a suggestion. You also can’t order a salad separately to go with it even if you fancy it. The staff were accommodating in that we had a vegetarian with a nut allergy and they managed to make a lovely pasta dish. All in all the food is fantastic on the whole - just a few dishes needed a bit more attention to detail. We were a large table of 10 people and service as a good speed. Would go back & worth a visit.

The “Breezy” zucchini salad was fantastic the traditional Kefalonia pie could have been more herby in the filling but the crust was perfection - really obvious that this kitchen knows what they’re doing delivering contemporary twists on traditional local food and produce! The homemade lemonade is also very welcome on a summer afternoon!

This is a great restaurant for fantastic woodfired pizzas. It is extremely popular and very busy. We were lucky to get a table because when we left there were about 20 people waiting to get a table. The pizzas are amazing and well priced. The pasta dish we also ordered was good value and very nice too. Child friendly as well and the staff are attentive and very hard working. Highly recommended.

It has been days since I left Argostoli and I am STILL thinking about the Cacio e Pepe!!! A local recommended it to us, saying that Pizza Al Forno did the best pizza on the island - we agreed. Delicious!!

We ordered take away pizza and when we arrived home we noticed half of it was burnt,we need to throw it away. Sorry that should be checked before putting in the box.

Very disappointing experience. The service was slow, and when we asked them to pack the leftovers from our dinner (which cost 40€), they just brought us boxes and told us to pack the food ourselves. I’m not sure if this is some kind of restaurant policy, but it doesn’t seem right. For that price, we expected at least decent service. Food was good but definitely not worth it.

We had dinner at Pizza al Forno and were impressed by the extremely friendly service and the absolutely amazing pizza – truly one of the best we’ve ever had.

I wouldn't know, we sat down, the waitress took our order right away and that was all she wrote! The bill came straight away. The food did not, we never saw our order! People who came after us got their pizzas and drinks and we still waited. One couple that came after us, ate, paid and still waited. One hour later, 2 more groups that came after us had their orders ready and we left without so much an apology.

After reading some of the reviews I was slightly concerned. All I can say is that from the minute we arrived till we left the atmosphere, the food, the staff, and the Ouzo was fantastic. We had the grilled calamari, smoked mackerel, a salad to start and our mains were grilled swordfish, mussels, sea bass filet and coconut shrimp with curry - all the food was excellent! I will be back next time I’m on the island!

Definitely one of the nicest spots in Argostoli, particularly when you can secure a table by the water, facing the impressive length of the bridge. Food is tasty and service fast. Only downside is the unasked for paying bread and plastic bottled water. The amount is nothing to fuss about, but we're happy to pay for what we ordered and whatever else is brought to the table should be complimentary, which is the case in most Greek restaurants.

I felt so nauseous after the food.The food was not good, me and my parents ordered, grilled octopus,seafood orzo,fried calamari, saganki as well. The grilled octopus was TINY just the tiniest tentacle. The seafood orzo that you see in the picture-the mussels were called and the orzo had a really bad overpowering tomato taste with some cheese I almost choked on. The fried calamari was badly chewy you can get better in the uk. But the only thing that was amazing was seeing the massive sea turtle in the sea.

Food was not great.. I ordered shrimp's pasta and had more shrimp's heads and very tiny shrimps that tasted awful 😞. The sauce of the pasta seemed to be an 'instant mix'. The wine was served in a very tiny glass that is not dedicated to wine. The wine wad terrible, I don't recommend. The only good thing was the view if you are lucky enough to find a table near the water where tortoises and swans come near.. (it was not my case)

The grilled squid was very tough. The fried squid was plentiful and tasty. The grilled tuna was excellent. Unfortunately, the side dishes served with the squid and tuna were very small. We had 7 portions of food, and they all came one after another with intervals of 5–8 minutes between them.

I had the shrimp rigatoni here a few days ago and I was still thinking about it so I came back for more ! The waiters are also very nice and the view is great. Thanks for the great experience !

Best loukaniko I have ever had! Please do yourself a favor and order the loukaniko from this restaurant. I came back at least once a day while on vacation for more. The food was just so good. Great portions with great flavors. The staff was like family by the end of our vacation. I love this place!

We stopped here just by chance on our way to airport for quick lunch. Choice was good, service quick, food was more than good , restrooms was clean , yes 5 star for this kind of street restaurant is well deserved.

Simple, honest Greek food for the everyday man. My goodness that rizzoni with veal was amazing. Packed with flavour with every bite. So was the braised calamari. Do yourself a favor - come early before things run out. Note to self: Take away from Tzivras would go down real well for a road trip and lunch at a secluded beach.

We were recommended by a local to try this restaurant as we wanted traditional Greek food. The Moussaka was the best we've had. Great value for money and great tasting traditional Greek food.

No view. No music. No burgers or pizza. Just the best and most authentic local food we've found in three weeks. With the most pleasant and helpful staff too. Thank you for a lovely lunch and for renewing our faith in local cooking. What's not to like?

It was such a great place in every way; food was absolutely delicious and fresh, completely breathtaking views and the most friendly, smiley and attentive staff. We went there more than 5 times on our 7 day holiday! Cannot recommend it highly enough!

This place is wonderful it feels very authentic. Food amazing we had a selection of starters the Giant Butter Beans and aubergine was a highlight. The prawns were perfect! Service a little slow and sometimes chaotic, they brought our main sides out with the starters and the mains out without clearing away the starters plates. But this could be down to lost in translation and when we asked they were on the ball. Friendly and wonderful and when you have this setting you don't mind sitting for a little longer and relaxing! Wonderful we will be back!

A truly charming place with an outstanding view — set under the shade of trees, right above a cliff that overlooks crystal-clear waters. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, made even better by the friendly, smiling, and welcoming staff. All the products are fresh and carefully prepared. Everything we tasted was delicious and full of flavor — except the calamari, which I wouldn’t recommend. But aside from that, the whole menu was excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Authentic local food at good prices with warm Greek hospitality and generous portions of delicious tzatziki and gyros. Stunning view over the Lassi coastline. Highly recommended and one of the best in Lassi and Argostoli. I'm coming back for dinner aswell!

A very disappointing meal, lacked taste, presentation, and was very over priced. Don't bother, save yourself the pain. Staff very good and polite, but let down with the quality. Rice appeared to be microwaved having had hard bits in it. The chicken chow maine looked like packet noodles you can get in the UK for 50p with hardly any chicken, and no taste. Told the staff who just said to let the chef know, wasn't happy to pay for sub standard food.

Service is very low level and it seems like there’s no communication between the waiters as the 2 waiters regularly wanted to do what the other waiter had already done (such as setting the table, etc.). Took a long time for basic things - when we told a waiter that we are ready to order, it took around 5 minutes until the other waiter came to take our order, as well as 5 minutes until we got the receipt after asking to pay (it wasn’t busy at the time). They have a big list of coffee although none of the coffee is available - “We don’t have coffee”. The egg fried rice tasted nothing like it should - there was a lot of pepper added despite having no need for it in any real recipe, and there was 0 soy sauce and spring onions, as well as not a lot of egg, mostly just carrot and peas. It was also quite pricy for what it was - around 10eur for just 1 egg fried rice dish, which wasn’t even authentic.

Well what can I say this Chinese is the best we have ever eaten ,I don’t think they do portion control the food was exceptional we ate in there a few times while on holiday and it never disappointed the staff were friendly and helpful and the ambience of the restaurant was was nice

We have been customers for 23 years, since the restaurant was in Lassi. Lately the quality has deteriorated (too salty) and the prices have skyrocketed. €17 for a dish, really? In other countries, Chinese is the go-to budget food. No wonder the place was half-empty on a Friday night in July. Also, now they only deliver through Wolt, which is a pain to order and costs extra.

Such a good Chinese...!! Kefalonia is so lucky to have this high quality Chinese restaurant! I often order (they deliver) and in high season I often eat there with friends and family. Friendly atmosphere, really good food and views over the square... Highly recommended!!

Main problem: they didn't have ANY seafood listed in the menu so better make sure the menu fits you. Some cocktails are also not available. Nevertheless the food was decent and the service quite rapid. Also, the house white wine was ok...The bill came with no clues about what was on it...

The best Greek salad and traditional meatballs meze I've had, hands down! The salad was huge but most of all - super tasty cheese and sweet peppers, and PINK tomatoes! And the athmosphere is soo nice! I recommend!

We were very pleased with the food they offered, an authentic menu. The location looks pretty fancy, beautiful garden. We‘ve had meatballs and the veggie burgers, they were also very uncomplicated to change the side dish (fries) into cabbage carrot salad. We didn‘t give 5 stars because they were out of sea food and some beers. However, we‘d totally come here again!

We wen't there two times because we really enjoyed the food and the location. This restaurant is located in a small side street out of the way of the main street but near enough for a short stroll. The appetizers are really really good and it is a good idea to combine a few of them together to have a rich variety of Greek food to taste. The "small" grill plate isn't so small and you can definitely eat it together with some appetizers together with friends. It is very quiet in this street and you can sit on their porch. Everyone spoke English and was very friendly.

Lovely friendly place with a cosy atmosphere, especially on the terrace of an evening. Tasty tapas-style Greek food and decent, well-priced house wine. Really enjoyed lingering over my dinner here, even got given a lovely homemade liqueur on the house. Have been here twice already and would not hesitate to come back.

Went here several times during our stay in Argostoli. Twice to eat (delicious meze/small plates) and once for drinks.(Recommend Mamos beer/rakimelon/Robola wine :) Frequented by locals, this place is really pretty, welcoming and prompt service - but it does get busy so get there between 8 and 9 if you want to eat and enjoy the authentic atmosphere. In a back street between the harbourfront and main square- a great find!

Wow .. had a nice time at Argostoli coffee Break restaurant. Been there quite few times but never bothered to write a review but today I am doing it so everyone should know but it. The sitting area is nice , you can have your meal by seeing beautiful view and fresh air. The staff were very friendly. We ordered 3 chicken wraps for 3 of us and I ordered 1 kit-kat shake for me which was outstanding. Our order took 5 mins to arrive. The chicken wraps were so good 10/10. Definitely if you in Argostoli must go and try their food. Well I’ll be back there for sure.

This's 1st time i come here..surprisely they have very comfort coffee shop...the coffee frappe is the best i love it...and the donut really out of the box..very yummy..i give 5 star for this coffee shop

The pride of ownership really shows in this little coffee and snack bar. Their sandwiches are proudly on display in a well refrigerated case, along with fresh fruits, vegetables, smoothie ingredients, and a fully stocked well-trained barista prepared to make you any coffee drink, or variant that you could desire. The tables are clean. The bathrooms are immaculate, which is a lot to be said for a downtown Kefalonia establishment. The people who own this shop deserve extra acclaims for making a friendly environment as well as a clean, healthy and inviting place to stop for a snack or a visit. Highly recommend next time you’re in this area of Kefalonia Greece

Great place to have breakfast or a snack near the port. Kind of Starbucks but in my opinion way better. They serve pastry. The croissants are good and also the hot chocolate. Not very expensive if you consider that you are in a touristic place. They have places to seat outside and inside. It is visited by many locals. The waiters are very friendly. It has wi-fi and delivery service.

If you love coffee, local vibes and fresh baked goods - stop here. Had a quad espresso and chocolate croissant. O.M.G. delish!

Absolutely lovely place for a drink and some food. I really like how there are different seating areas for just drinks, food and they are separated into smoking and non smoking areas which is a nice touch. The ladies here work so hard and really take hospitality and service to the next level. Even when me and my family just came for drinks, we were given free slices of delicious frozen cheesecake which convinced us to come back for dinner later that day. It was delicious and we were once again given complimentary cheesecake, we honestly go back just for that it's that good. The food is fresh, there's plenty of variety and it's great value for money. My favourite thing was the squid appetiser, the best calamari I've ever had, so fresh and not chewy at all. My brother had these amazing stuffed vine leaves too which I'd recommend to anyone wanting to try something new. The atmosphere is brilliant, they play wonderful greek music and there are play areas to keep children entertained.

This was so good! Very friendly, you get some flatbreads and Tzatziki, on the house. Followed by a large portion of Moussaka, straight from the oven. Then some cheesecake sorta thing, on the house. I can fault it at all, so tasty, so good. Really it was. Highly recommended!

My favourite place in Lassi! Me and my family kept coming back here on our holiday because the service was so brilliant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is just wonderful, you can tell it's made fresh to order and prepared with love. Everything here is very affordable, with cocktails around 6-7 euros all day! (Most places are 8 euros during happy hour) The tavern is beautiful as is it's surroundings and it is only a 5 minute walk from the beach, very convenient. The staff also give you complimentary cheesecake which is delicious and you get it if you get just drinks or food! Definitely try this place if you're in the area! ❤️

Already 3 times here and everytime was even better than previous one. The staff is very kind and works a lot for customer satisfaction. The food is amazing. They also gave us appetiziers and deserts (one of the best cheesecake that I ever ate). Also shots at the end. We will definitely come back when in Kefalonia again.

This place is great, very tasty food prepared with love and the creamy cheesecake is 😋 the ladies work very hard and look after every customer with a smile. Portions are huge so can easily be shared by two people. Cannot find better place to eat on the island, so even when we stay in the north, we still make at least one trip to the south to incorporate one meal at this gorgeous place 🥰

We visited around 7.30pm having ignored the tourist trap restaurants on the main square, lucky to get a table for two adults and two kids. Great friendly service, and grill house classics pork gyros, chicken souvlaki, village sausage, all onto paper mats on the table, all delicious and big portions. Ice cold beer and good house white wine.

We came across this place while walking around. The lady that own the place has the most amazing welcoming energy that compels you to eat there. The food was delicious and authentic Greek and the service was impeccable.

Oh my, this was a little gem on a side street. What a fab meal we had. The food is simply served on paper instead of plates such a fab idea as it saves on washing up and means the staff can serve more people more efficiently. The staff were fab, they never stopped moving, shout out to the lady waitress she was so energetic and bubbly. The place was buzzing with locals and tourists alike. The music is loud so if you are looking for a romantic meal, this isn't the place however if you want fab food, fast and exceptionally well priced pay Lafokola a visit.

Best Gyros in town , we ate here everyday the Vegan gyros were delicious and a good portion size. The lady at the till was ever so friendly and every time we came she knew what we wanted . Cheap as chips and the food was quality definitely a place to eat when in town.

I regret deeply not checking the reviews.. The food was very overpriced and mid. I ordered a Tuna steak after specifically asking the waiter if it could be cooked medium rare and if it came with potatoes. I got a carton-taste slice with a half of a boiled potato (i regret not taking a photo). Luckily, the waiter agreed to replace what i got with the dish i actually ordered. After a few minutes another waiter gave me a plate with something that was NOT tuna (third photo). Again, luckily i didn’t eat any of it until my waiter brought me my order. I will leave a photo with the 21€ “Medium-rare Tuna stake” with french fries. The waiters were chaotic and disorganized and the food was VERY overpriced… Please soameone tell the cook to stop overcooking the food as my friend ordered the Seafood Platter in which multiple items were overcooked/ burnt. I do not recommend this restaurabt for any one who wishes to eat good food for decent prices. 👎🏻

The worst mojito I’ve had in my life and I’ve had many! Made with lime cordial not fresh lime, absolutely horrible and not worth the €9.50. I know you pay for the location on the harbour but really think they could make more effort!

Best Gyro I had in my life!! Being I am part Greek I know how Greek food should look and taste absolutely hands down the best!

I enjoyed the meal. The waiters are friendly and the view amazing. Eating by the sea, enjoying the wildlife. I have paid for the main course, drink, bread and butter around 18€/person. The portion looked small but turned out to be enough. Not so bad for a place by the sea located in a touristic village.

Gregory is a very lovely host, he even gave us a free bottle of wine. The food is great and very decently priced, very big portions! Lovely staff and beautiful atmosphere right on the water. Recommend for a chill evening meal.

Really bad experience! The service was the worst I have ever received in my life. After they convince you to serve your dinner there and you order, they pretty much abandon you. Nobody cleaned the table when the meal was finished or asked if I need anything else. The grilled seafood was overcooked, burnt, and the side “salad” had only tomato and 3 slices of cucumber. I do not recommend this restaurant!

Great seafood, large portion of grilled octopus and lot of seafood pasta! Greek salad was also good enough. Pleasant staff, warned us to not take two portions of octopus, because that could be too much. He was absolutely right! Also the atmosphere with sea view is nice. Recommend this place!

Amazing gem in Argostoli! Got this restaurant recommended by our hotel and we couldn’t be happier. The place is stunning! We saw a beautiful sunset by the water, great vibes, food was delicious, wine was fresh and desert was incredible.

Situated right on the water this seafood restaurant is an absolute gem. It is more pricey than restaurants in town however, it is worth it. The seafood is fantastic, service impeccable and the atmosphere great! Get a whole grilled fish, we got the grouper which was around 100€, and the saganaki was amazing.

What a find this place was..we spotted it while on the ferry from Lixouri and went to try it. So glad we did! Such a tranquil spot, it's hard to believe the hustle and bustle of Argostoli is just around the corner! Wonderful food and friendly, helpful service. Highly recommended!

Pleasant enough - until you realise you’re being ripped off. Nice setting on the waters edge under the trees, and a la carte menu is not bad. However, beware the ‘catch of the day’ - priced at 70 euro /kg which is fine if you’re getting a portion of around 300g (which I found to be quite standard at most restaurants here and not bad at all). However they serve you about 150g of nice enough fish (one half a fish)- nothing spectacular (we ordered a single portion which I was led to believe would be 250g- grilled sea bream) - with a literal sprinkling of tasteless boiled carrot potato & courgette - and charge it at the price of 500g. You can see in the picture how small the portion is 😄. I commented on this when the bill came - and an argument between 2 staff ensued (in Greek so I wasn’t sure about what exactly) - and eventually wanting to just move on as I didn’t want anyone getting in trouble - I said no stress I’ll pay. Lovely waterfront restaurant in the main town where you can choose your fish fresh. The prawn saganaki was particularly delicious and they build the tiramisu in front of you. Service was lovely as well.

After walking around Argostoli, around the coastline and round to the other side past the lighthouse, we saw this lovely restaurant by the sea so popped in for refreshments. If you are having a meal you get the tables with the best views, as we were having drinks only we could sit at any other tables. We decided to have a Greek Salad as well to take the edge off, and it was delicious, as I’m sure the rest of the food is here. The staff are very accommodating and the views are stunning. Unfortunately we were flying back the next day so could not sample the evening menu, but I’d say give it a shot.

Mediocre both for taste and attitude. They are betting on the position of the restaurant, tourists get in anyway kind of attitude and it's expensive too. Once you sit down, and order is placed, you are not relevant anymore. You need to have a big and expensive order to qualify for a free desert, a small pice of water melon, not everyone gets it. Kids were asking why we get no melon? Tough question to reply. Food had nothing to do with the description, service was poor and atmosphere not to mention. I would avoid this restaurant, definitely not recomend it to eat here.

I visited "Το Αρχοντικό" in Argostoli and had a solid dining experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, offering a traditional Greek feel that was nice and comfortable. The food was good, with fresh and authentic flavors that seemed to be prepared well. What stood out was the pricing. Compared to other restaurants on the island, the prices at "Το Αρχοντικό" were quite reasonable. The portion sizes were fair for what you paid, and it felt like a good value. If you're looking for a dependable meal that won't cost too much, this is a good option. I would recommend it.

Food excellent and service quick but let down when asking for bill. Waited 15mins for bill then asked card or cash. I said card and owner mutted something under his breath and walked off, I though for card machine. 10 minutes gone and he was serving other customers . Had to go to bar to sort bill out

What a great find. After wandering through town and being pestered by other restaurant people we walked past this place and quickly realised how busy it was. A quick check of the menu confirmed and excellent choice of greek favourites at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, the staff were excellent and the food was amazing. The rudest staff we encountered in Greece. A man completely covered in sweat brought our drinks and when I said that I ordered the "homemade lemonade" not the Fanta Lemon, got upset. Then we saw pouring the "homemade lemonade" from a concentrate carton. He left the glass in the table in a very rude way. We ordered olives and bread as starter and the olives were shrivelled and bitter. The bread was sliced bread, like for making toast. I ordered pasta a la greca with feta cheese, and they forgot the cheese. The taste was ok. Rude staff and expensive food for what it is. Tourist trap.

The service was very poor. The owners seem friendly at first glance but once you’re sat down, they pay no attention to you if there’s a bigger group or table around (especially if you’re not a local or Greek). The food was mediocre at best; DO NOT BUY THE BURGER! You won’t get a bun or lettuce or cheese, it will just be a beef patty on a plate with chips. If you are going to order something, order the Exohiko (this was actually very nice and very traditional dish). The ambience was nice on the plaza/strip, and the restaurant decor match a traditional Greek theme, but the other aspects really let the place down

Loved this place on the square. One of the oldest in the square. Pizza was fabulous and we loved the baked feta appetizer and the fig salad was spectacular. The staff is super friendly as well. Eager to return

I am not sure why this place has 3.6 stars, the waitress we had multiple times was extremely sweet, even keeping our beers cold as we were going to the beach after. We are from America, where the pizza is great, and the pizza here is pretty darn good. We must have had it close to 5 times on this trip. Cheap and delicious, this place deserves better reviews!

The worst service I have ever had in Kefalonia- in the last 15 years of coming to the island! Stopped to have a drink at 2PM in the afternoon - to an almost empty restaurant. When we were asked if we were ordering food, we said just a couple of drinks for now - we were asked to move tables as this table was set up for food. Just because we were sitting at a table with more comfortable chairs than the ones they said we could sit at. Absolute disgrace.

Decent food, but our first two options in the menu were not available. The waitress looks tired, which is not a surprise since she was the only one covering all table during lunch. The restaurant is good and offers both Italian and Greek food, making easier to accommodate when travelling with more people.

Food was so average. Mussels were cold , lamb chops were mainly fat. The octopus was just average. Was not worth the price. Service was minimal. Plenty of better restaurants in the square. Definitely not coming back

Service slow waited 20.mins to order and get a drink. Didn't find the waiter very friendly seemed more interested what was going on around than listening to what we wanted. Food was ok nothing mind blowing,.bread was warm and butter lovely that was really good.Wouldn't go again. Atmosphere was good because your in the square Saturday evening and buzzing

A hidden gem! Tired and hungry after a day trip to Lixouri we ducked out of the main square on a side street, and smelled delicious garlicky flavours from this restaurant. It was late(ish) nearly 10pm and the menu, service and prices were spot on. The Napoli pizza was huge (brought half home with me) and the Prawn linguine was amazing, large and tender, with heads on, but shelled bodies. The rocket and parmesan salad as a side was fresh and plentiful. The waiters were polite and attentive, with a great courtesy and weren't overly fussy. Perfect for a quiet meal for 2 after a busy day sightseeing. They happily rang us a taxi to get back to our hotel in Lassi, checking outside to see it had arrived before bidding us farewell. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

The Pizza was fabulous! The atmosphere was very nice, Italian pics, great vibes, wonderful wine selection. We had a mushroom, artichoke and cheese pizza it was delicious. The tunes they were playing were fabulous. Do not miss eating here! Authentic!!! The waiter is fabulous.

Best service tasty me and 3 family members all enjoy it the best I had the salmon and cream penne it was super creamy and fishy salmon was buttery and smooth and the paste was perfect aldente my father had a calzone it was the best he ever had crispy and buttery crust and the cheese was melty and the ham was perfect brother had arribiata nice and spicy very aldente and my mother had the beef and mushrooms the sauce was immense and the whole experience is a must if ur in Kefalonia you must try it’s the best pizza in Greece

Terrible place avoid at all cost.They made someone go and draw out cash saying that the card machine was not working then when I paid suprise suprise the machine was then working. The calamari was like rubber the pork and mushroom was underwhelming but my wife did say her prawn linguine was tasty. My advice find another place to eat.

We were told that this was the best Italian food on the restaurant and that the owner imported ingredients from Italy, but we were not impressed. The pastas were cooked well, but the dishes lacked complexity in their flavors.

All the dishes we ordered were great, I never saw anything to justify the one star reviews. From my dinner experience the one star reviews were a joke from people without taste.

Ok, I don't know why this place has such a low Google rating so I'm going to write this in a bid to change that. We were recommended this place by locals and were not disappointed. The location is amazing - breezy and cool in the heat, with lovely blue water lapping underneath while you enjoy local fresh fish - oysters, octopus, grilled bream - amazing. Not the cheapest, but absolutely worth it for the quality of the good, the friendly service, and the beautiful atmosphere. Also we received a free dessert and liqueur. What's not to like? Don't be a dummy and pass up on this place.

Stopped here for a quick drink with a beautiful view from the decking. The board at the entrance offers fresh juices and milkshakes, but we were only given a wine menu with pricey full bottles. The service wasn’t brilliant and two soft drinks were the price of a meal elsewhere. Don’t recommend, sadly.

Brilliant place with amazing food, managed to eat amazing razor clams which are really hard to find. Great value for money. Managed to see turtles mating while eating, was quite the relaxing lunch.

First thing: go there only if you have time and you are relaxed. It’s very popular and busy. We have been twice in a week both times in the evening, once at the beginning of service (~ 7:30 pm) and once towards the end (after 10 pm). Both times without reservations and we got a table without waiting. The owner is a very characterful person, funny and helpful, but be prepared to be interrupted when ordering as he wanders off to talk to someone else. Don’t worry he will come back 🙂. Now for the food: this is the place to eat fresh fish. We had various carpaccios and ceviches, all delicious. Their crab salad is a must. The rest of the fish options, fried or grilled, are all valid. We tried fried calamari (fresh, exceptionally soft and not at all rubbery- something very rare) and grilled squid (very flavoursome). Very few items are from frozen on the menu so it was easy to avoid them. Desserts are also homemade and delicious. On our last night we were lucky enough to be seated on the farthest table very close to the sea and we were greeted by a sea turtle foraging for its dinner and swimming happy in the water near us.

Wow, this place is amazing. Food was exceptional as was the service & presentation. Location really lovely - top end of Argostoli near where the larger cruise ships and motor cruisers berth. The deck you are seated is right on the waters edge, absolutely beautiful. A bit more expensive than most but you get what you pay for right. We had the home made lobster ravioli which was stunning, well worth a visit.

Best food we had in Greece so far. Wonderful dishes, service impeccable and terrific view.

The service is excellent! Very precise recommendations. The menu is good, we ordered starters, main dishes and all the desserts. All was tasty just with slight flaws: for example waiter offered us to choose level of steak and burger doneness, and it was a bit overdone. But not that critical to say that is was untasty but could be better. It’s still one of the best restaurants on the island. Perfect if you are looking for a bit fancy dining for the date.

Had a lovely dinner! Pastas were so delicious, with an unexpected twist of taste. The shrimps riganada was also very tasty. Last, but not least, portokalopita was 🫠 Very nice and kind staff. Loved it and I plan to return :)

The food here is excellent! The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Even the owner works the floor and everyone wants you to have a good experience. They have a very good wine selection and are happy to tell you about some of the greek wines and vineries. If you are interested-just ask. the The chef makes the ultimate magic, superb food.

Lovely dinner... Food exceptional. Nice setting in a small street. Good wine choice. We started with croquettes and ceviche, both were very delicious.. Before those, cream cheese were served. We had Lamb giouvetsi, Linguine lazareto and Mousaka for the mains. All very tasty. Stongly recomend. We also had local wine: San Gerasimo white, tasty wine. thanks..

A hidden gem in Argostoli, slightly set back from the main square and street this restaurant absolutely blew us away. An extensive list of local Kephalonian and Greek wines was available, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can especially recommend the Lamb with Orzo! To top it all off the staff were very attentive and friendly - 5 stars all round!

Another couple that we met at breakfast recommended this restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try. We were blown away! A lot of the dishes are based on traditional Greek dishes, but they have been elevated to gourmet status. We had the octopus capaccio, which was the best octopus dish we've had in two weeks in Greece. The mains and desserts were equally as good. Our waiter was very helpful and happy to chat about the island (it was still quite early), he also recommended a very good local wine.

Love the food and the family that run this new to Lassi taverna but they have been in Argostoli near to the old fruit market for years! Always welcoming and the food is fantastic! So glad to hear that they'll also be opening throughout the winter! Can't wait! Somewhere for locals to go, with an amazing view, and great quality food! Yamas!!!

Very authentic Greek food and cheap. Portion sizes were generous. They also gave us a complimentary shot of mastika at the end which was very nice. I recommend eating here.

We visited this place on August 23. We were 4 and late, but they still had a couple of tables free. The food is not the touristic gyros bla bla. We took tzaziki, saganaki, lemon potatoes, cannelloni, pasticcio, stuffed tomatoes, chicken filet with roasted, potatoes. We drunk retzina, uzo, cola, water, ice tea. At the end we tried the chocolate pie. All extremely tasty and good. Nice atmosphere, good service, generous portions, we could bring home what was left on the table. Nice prices. Very good value for money and very reccomended. We were a family of four and we spent Euro 81.

This was our first experience of Greek food in Argostoli, and what a good start! The food is rustic, plentiful and fresh, with a small menu of authentic Greek cuisine and a warm welcome. The area in front is having work done so it looks a bit of a dump, but I was too busy looking at my other half’s happy mush to notice. We had a Greek salad, roast chicken with potatoes and the Moussaka. My only quibble was that the red wine was chilled, that’s just odd for me but we rolled with it and it was still lovely, €4 for half a carafe you can’t complain! They had an issue with the card machine on the day we went so luckily we had cash on us. Will definitely be back.

The best Greek traditional food in the best way possible! You must have tried moussaka before, but this moussaka.. this is special, the taste is so well defined by the spices they put in. Also, the aubergines, wow, and the octopus! And right after all these, the youghurt with honey! All of this, for the perfect prices. Reservation needed, can easily get full.

Nice place, clean and fancy looking, with good food but pretty expensive and the waiter ruined it for us. He was very stressed, didn't speak English well, we asked for burger without cheese because of allergies and he totally misunderstood. Thank god I caught the mistake in time. We had burgers (pretty good), roasted lamb (very good altough kind of heavy on the stomach), greek salad. We received complementary strawberry sorbet, best sorbet I ever had.

One of the best places to dine in Argostóli town. Very well located with sea view and lovely decorations! Their Staff is very friendly and attentive, always with a nice smile. All dishes we tried were exceptional and generous! Prices were reasonable and everything was fine. Their salads and fish dishes were a masterpiece. Definitely not a miss if you are in town!

Yesterday was my last day of vacation. I ended my vacation with dinner at this restaurant. My experience with this restaurant is great. This is my fourth summer in Cephalonia and I'm sorry to meet this restaurant just now. The food was excellent, as was the appetizer. Everything is very nicely served. The restaurant is nicely decorated and tidy. A special surprise for us was the free dessert - three of them. First the waiter brought the watermelon, so the cake .. when we thought it was over, another cake arrived. A very nice gesture from the restaurant owner. We also planned to visit "Crepa land", where we would eat pancakes, but we couldn't anymore .. 😊😊😊 All compliments and a big greeting to Amos Restaurant! I will definitely visit you again if I come to beautiful Cephalonia. 👌👌👌

It was a terrible pizza we have ever eaten. The dough was probably for a bread, not pizza and it was not baked well. Unfortunately we had to finish our meal because we were really hungry. They served a few olives and olive oil as appetizer but even though we haven’t touched it, the waiter tried to charge us for extra 4 euro. I told him to exclude it from the check and then he switched to Greek and became annoying. We are unhappy to be closing off our one week great vacation in Kefalonia with a bad food experience.

Stopped by one night for having dinner and we were satisfied with the food and the services. Enjoyed the live music also.

Avoid, tourist trap. Was charged for bread, olives and water which we didn’t ask for but were put on the table when we arrived. Weren’t even given a drinks menu as the bartender was hungover so didn’t show up. Food was unseasoned, flavourless and bits of veg in the Mediterranean spaghetti were tiny and looked like they could’ve been from frozen, yet expensive. Had to wait 15 mins after asking for the bill as they didn’t have card receipt paper, they didn’t tell us this either. They ignored us and we noticed a member of staff leaving and returning with it. Wasn’t actually given a bill either, first time seeing the price was when I was presented with the card reader and it was more than we expected. Only thing going for it is the location, definitely avoid.

We visited Baroque le Bistrot for brunch and had a great experience! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed and stylish, and our waiter was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Kefalonia!

Pure gem of a bistro. Perfect place for a special lunch. They had breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. We were there just for lunch. Exceptional service. Down to simply things like the placemats. Cutlery and nice glasses. We had two of the salmon bowls, tortilla wrap with burger and I had homemade chicken burger. Delicious. Exceptional value for the quality of the food. Could not recommend enough. Lovely to sit outside. I’d definitely return if in the area.

The waiting staff were so helpful in setting up a table for 10. He was very attentive and helpful, especially entertaining the children with some complementary snacks and entertainment. The drink selection was fantastic and the food was incredible! Salmon sandwich was so much more than a sandwich and the salad bowls were varied and delicious. The decor was classy and the air-conditioning made it the perfect temperature. The complimentary tiramisu to finish was a sensational end! Made a perfect stop for a family lunch on holiday!

This elegant bistro has such a nice vibe and the service was so friendly and welcoming. The food and cocktails were excellent. They added some imaginative touches to everyday dishes which really elevated the food. I enjoyed the arancini and Greek salad and the owner was so kind and generous. The only thing I would say is it would be nice to have some vegetarian mains on the menu. That being said, I would love to return and I highly recommend a visit when in Kefalonia.

Amazing restaurant and excellent food! Ambiance is also great and our server Angelo made it an extra special experience. He has an incredible amount of passion for his job and made sure we were taken care of all night. After our first time eating here we decided there would be no better way to end our holiday in Argostoli than at Baroque. Thank you again Angelo for making it extra special for us!

This is a nice little place just above the main beach in Lassi, with a lovely view of the sea and a welcome breeze – especially handy in the heat. It’s a casual spot, ideal for a light lunch. We visited twice – once during the lunchtime rush and once later in the day – and although the staff were friendly, the service wasn’t great either time. You do have to make the effort to get someone’s attention, which can get a bit frustrating. When the food came we did ask to order an additional bread and the waitress looked visibly annoyed, which wasn’t a great impression, but understand that they are probably a little overwhelmed. The food was good – I had some bits to pick at, while the rest of the family had a beef burger and a Greek salad. My sister couldn’t finish her burger, and they kindly offered a takeaway box so she could have the rest later, which was a nice touch. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the location. All in all, a good, accessible spot for a laid-back lunch with great views.

Sitting above the beautiful Makris Yialos beach, you can find classic delicious Greek food at reasonable prices. The service can be a little slow when it’s busy, but we enjoyed the view and didn’t mind. Also cats!

Highly recommend to visit! Owner of the restaurant is a very friendly man, his family works among him in the restaurant. The food was lovely, the pasta is great, our order came swiftly, the view is insane. I advise an early dinner (19:30/20:00-22:00) for the best sunset view and dinner. Definitely coming back!

This little sea side Taverna was one of our favorite places in our month in Kefalonia. In Lassi, on top of a small hill overlooking a beautiful beach, this is the place to hang out - swim in the beach and have lunch and a few cocktails. Great food, service and the bedt cocktails

A Slice of Paradise and Authenticity: We finally made it to The Makris Yialos by George, and we're thrilled to say it was absolutely worth it! Despite an initial detour caused by a taxi driver who, apparently, has the inexplicable habit of taking customers to "Costa Costa," our perseverance was amply rewarded. George himself confirmed that unfortunately, we aren't the first to encounter this inconvenience, which further solidifies our satisfaction at finally finding the right place. Authentic Welcome and Atmosphere The atmosphere here is exactly what we were looking for: spartan, genuine, and with a warm, family-like welcome. You immediately sense the authenticity of the place, far from tourist traps. It's not about luxury here, but the feeling of being in a true piece of Greece, run with passion. The availability of an umbrella and two chairs was a delightful extra touch, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty of the spot. Simple, Yet Exquisite Cuisine And then there's the food! The cuisine is decidedly homemade, a hymn to true flavors and simplicity. We finally got to try the much-desired grilled octopus, and it exceeded expectations: it was incredibly tender and wonderfully flavorful, a true delight for the palate. It's clear that here, the freshness of ingredients and a love for tradition come first. A Charming Place to Recommend All in all, The Makris Yialos by George is a charming place we highly recommend to anyone seeking an authentic experience, away from the hustle and bustle and pretensions. If you manage to overcome any taxi detours, you'll be rewarded with a peaceful corner, excellent food, and true Greek hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

A truly beautiful spot by the sea, with a stunning view and a charming old windmill that gives the place a unique touch. The food was delicious and worth the wait, even if service was a bit slow. The staff was very polite and even let enjoy my meal on the lounge sofas, which made the experience more relaxed and enjoyable. The only real disappointment was the party that had been announced for 1 AM, also promoted on social media — unfortunately, it never happened and there was no explanation. Still, the atmosphere and the quality of the food made up for it.

The negative reviews are, in my opinion, unfair. We ate dinner one evening here to watch the sun go down. It wasn't busy at all, so the atmosphere was maybe a little subdued. No wait for a table and we seated right by the open gkass doors overlooking the sea. The service was good, polite, attentive but not "in your face". All portions were a good size, the arincini with roquefort cheese in " angel hair" fine pasta strands partially so. For mains, rolled chicken with shrimp and the pork tenderloin. Both well presented and cooked just right. No deserts as we were full, but the coffee was good. Wine reasonably priced for the type of establishment it is aiming to be. It's a drive or taxi out from Argostoli but easy enough to find. Overall, it was a good dining experience, not the cheapest in Argostoli, but if you just want your standard Greek fayre, it's not for you.

the place is nice, on the water, cool athmosphere, food is also not bad, a little overpriced due to the location. however the service could really use some improvement, as the waiters and the staff are not the happiest people on the planet. plates were not descrived and badly explained in english. if you want to treat yourself do, but dont get too large expectations on the service, come for the food not for the service.

We were a group of 13 and waited over two hours before any food arrived. When my tuna finally came, it was completely raw — and not in a good “sushi” way, just undercooked and inedible. When I politely mentioned it to the waiter, his response was rude, dismissive, and downright unpleasant. Between the endless wait, poorly prepared food, and hostile service, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.

The food is super tasty! Very healthy and suitable for families with kids. The food is home-made! All kind of traditional Greek food you can find here. The pizza is superb! The bread is fluffy and delicious. The service is quick and waitress very kind. I would come back to eat for the third time.

Outstanding service, well prepared dishes with good, fresh ingredients. The prices are okay, not too expensive, not cheap either. The place was full of mosquitoes so that didn’t make the experience enjoyable altogether - but the extremely kind waiter offered us repellent and was constantly trying his best in looking after us.

Really nice place, one of our favourite restaurants when we stayed for two weeks in Kefalonia. The food is amazing and the service fast and nice. I really recommend everybody who wants traditional good greek food to give this place a try. Prices are nice to! My favourite dish was the lamb kleftiko.

We found this place on a Saturday evening and loved it immediately. You can see all the food as it has been prepared and it is all wonderful. Chilled red house wine is very drinkable and the aubergines and stuffed tomatoes are particularly good. A very Greek vibe with wonderful cooking. We went back two days later and it was just as good.

There was quite the thunderstorm (and a power-out) when we visited this lovely town. Power was back about an hour later, but it was still raining, so we took a table inside. This place is located just at the Pl. Vallianou, not far from the Lithostroto Walking Street. The menu had some really interesting items...including goat stew. But we played it a bit safe and ordered fried calamari and stuffed veggies (bell pepper and tomato), some beer with that. Prices more than fair. Both items were really good choices. The calamari nice, crispy...and fresh. Not the cheap frozen calamari rings you get in your supermarket. The stuffed veggies were great as well. Rice perfectly cooked, the veggies nice and juicy....full of flavours with these greek spices. Good stuff! They really can cook here. And the staff was really nice and friendly. After enjoying this meal so much, next time we WILL try the goat stew then. We'll be back.

Costa served us and it was fantastic.. very easy, friendly and great service. All the staff were welcoming actually. The food was excellent.. my beef fillet was cooked perfectly! I asked for steamed vegetables and Costa accommodated me happily. Being from Melbourne we are spoilt for good Restaurants and We Very much enjoyed Grill House and can comfortably recommend a visit here

We only spent one evening in Argostoli. On the main square, children were performing something, which gave the place a really lovely atmosphere although it was surprisingly busy for a weekday night. We were set on having pizza, so we walked around checking out the nearby restaurants. One thing I personally didn’t like was how the hostesses constantly tried to invite us into their restaurants. They were absolutely polite and friendly, but I found it a bit too much – I prefer choosing without pressure. Eventually, we ended up at the place where the lady was the most persistent. The pizza was large – I’ve definitely had better, but overall I was satisfied. We couldn’t finish it all, so the waiters gave us a box, and we packed up the leftovers ourselves. I had a Mexican pizza – it was tasty, although it didn’t have any beans on it and that sausage was strange but not bad.

Been coming to Draught every time I've been to Kefalonia and they are simply one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, burgers are cooked to perfection, priced excellently and are simply incredible, drink selection is awesome, and has helped me discovered my favourite new beer. Ordered 2 burgers and chips, one very well done. Both came, appeared to be cooked but one not well done so sent back. I ate mine tasted ok. My wife get hers and she ate 3/4 of it. Later in that night I felt sick and ended up vomiting. Next day traveling home was so uncomfortable and at GP with food poisoning. Now it might not have been the burger but I only ate 2 eggs for breakfast.

A wide variety of beer and good service, these are the pros of this place. Sandwiches weren't good, the bread was old and dry, whatever you put in them doesn't matter. The crispy sandwich was a big disappointment. Chicken nuggets are most likely frozen and simply fried. I basically only felt the dry bread. Prices are quite high for this quality of food.

The food was ok, not bad but also not amazing. The waiter asked us a lot of times whether we wanted to eat there or not (we always said yes but he kept on asking again and again within a span of 5-10 minutes). He also messed up our bill and we had extra things we didn't order on it. He had a very weird attitude, like he had a problem with us.

This place is absolutely beautiful, and the food is incredibly fresh and completely different from the average. While most places stay on one level, they are definitely a step above. If I had come here on my very first day, I would have eaten here every single day. We tried many other spots and none of them even come close to this one. My husband and I ate here twice on our week away. The waiter was super friendly and made us laugh he was not pushy. They served the most tasty vegan gyros in giant pittas a tasty Greek salad. All this whilst sitting right on the waterfront with a beautiful view. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

Best place in Kefalonia by far. Awesome service, the very polite and helpful staff. Different from all other places, they do not try to push you things and forcing you to eat as they like. The food was very good, well seasoned, well made. Very delicious. Good price and well served. The vegan options are really good, my sister ate 2 different ones and loved them. If you are in Kefalonia, you should visit, they will make you feel warm and welcome.

We went to Olea Kouzinaki on the last night of our stay in Kefalonia and it certainly delivered a special meal and evening. The seating is outdoor and although they do their best to screen customers from the prevailing breeze, it was definitely a bit chilly in late October. Even so, the view down into Argostoli and the lagoon was breathtaking. With it being out of season, it is inevitably quiet and we were one of three couples during the time we were there. That said, it was still a pleasant ambience. The service was lovely and helpful, the menu varied. We had the bread and then saganaki to start - the saganaki was the best I had on our stay in Kefalonia. As a main meal we both had the pork cheek with a side of green beans. The pork was just magnificent - crumbled on the fork and flavours were divine. It is really good food - more expensive than typical Argostoli prices but the meal was definitely more high-end than some we had on our trip. All in all, really enjoyed the evening. Great food, good service, exquisite views.

Delicious food and great hosts. The restaurant is outside Argostoli, meaning you need a car or 20 min of walking, but the experience is worth it because the view of the sea is great and the food far better than most places on the main street of Argostoli. The marinated octopus was particularly enjoyable.

We had fish which was fresh and excellent. My husband had the moussaka, which was the best we had on the island, fried calamari fresh and well prepared. Perfect

Great food and staff. You could find a very lovely and relaxing atmosphere in the taverna. All seafood was fantastic and fresh. Owner is really helpful and responsive as we are looking for a taxi. Someone very nice to offer us two seats but we have four. Unfortunately we need to walk on foot back to town centre.

It was better than I had expected. The food was very very tasty and the portions were quite generous. The price was also ok, more than reasonable and the personnel was kind and friendly. We also didn’t have to wait for a long time for the food. An unexpected gem! It’s not that fancy but the atmosphere was very nice! I would gladly recommend it to anyone who come to Lasi/Argostoli.

Right by the sea beautiful views and lovely people.. the only downside is because it’s right by a camp site it’s a little touristy but it’s still really worth a visit we had the Greek salad and they didn’t skimp on the feta. Near to some incredible coves as well. Definitely visit.

Located on the Main Square, Pan Nik offers traditional cooked meat. Many options and varieties. As a vegetarian, it’s always hard to get a meal. My options were a friend vegetable burger, pizza, salad or various dips. Luckily I eat cheese and I ordered the pizza. It was homemade and I topped it with mushrooms, tomato and onions. We sat outside under the shade and enjoyed the scene. Kids on bikes and tourists strolling past. I highly recommend for meat eaters.

If you like your meat this is a must visit. We had pork chops, half chicken, and lahmachun (loved this Armenian pizza with spiced beef mince, lots of mince!!) All with village salad. All BIG portions and VERY tasty. DELICIOUS🙂❤️ sorry no pictures as too busy eating!

The take away gyros was simple, generous and tasty. Nice kids-friendly terrace on the huge central pedestrian Argostoli square. I strongly recommend for families and large parties as it's very spacious and everyone can find something to their taste on the menu.

Minimum price of gyros is less than €5 and gyros meat tastes so good. I already try the gyros sandwich and gyros pita. I'll coming back next time to try the others like barbecue stick kebab 😊

The table service was great as was the food. However, when we went to pay we asked if we could pay separately. The waiter told us, no problem, if we head up to the counter we can pay separately. When we got there we were confronted with a very small angry man who we assumed was the manager or owner. We asked to split the bill and he aggressively told us no as if we had already asked this repeatedly, although it was our first time. We explained that we were told we would be able to but our comments were met with ignorance and frustration. One member of our group paid the bill and when he received his change the man smacked the money down on the counter in anger and didn’t thank us for coming or wish us a good night. Would love to go back for the food but refuse to benefit a person with this much arrogance and disrespect.

We ate here in our last day on the island. Big chicken souvlaki was very good, tzatziki and the cheese also. Mamos beer worked fine with the food.

We went because we wanted an authentic Greek restaurant, the food was lovely, tsatzi, feta in filo , anchovies, cubed potatoes and delicious kebabs and a litre jug of house wine. We were the first there and found the staff friendly and helpful - their English may be slightly limited but it's miles better than my Greek. We sat near the kitchen and the smells were amazing .Family parties turned up and by the time we left the place was full and the atmosphere was buzzing .

Lovely restaurant set right on the harbour, very old style a more traditional restaurant than the more modern types in the square. Very small so was very busy but the food was outstanding and the setting is ideal. Very good prices too.

We had dinner there with my husband and 1 year old girl. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, very professional. I really liked the bread and butter they brought us to start with. Then we ordered a spread with truffle and mushrooms which was also really nice. In the photos are our mains. We waited too long for them. I loved my risotto with mussels, my husband said that his rabbit was fine but nothing extraordinary. Overall a very good experience.

Terre Mouikis Restaurant was an absolute delight from the assorted seafood appetizer to the watermelon and feta salad. 🍉 Moving through the main courses of sea bass and seafood risotto. 😋 Finally ending the evening of cocktails and wine.🍷 Pistacchio sponge cake, yogurt and pistacchio ice cream on the bed of bee pollen. 🐝 The staff were a delight, cordial and accommodating. Wine list was excellent!

In summary: a great place! Fantastic menu, delicious food, attentive (just right) service, knowledgeable sommelier. By far the best place we have had dinner in Kefalonia. And we did that twice so far. If you want to try the best of Greek cuisine, go for the degustation menu. Alternatively a la cart offers anything you wish for: made by a fist class chef - who definitely respects the taste of Kefalonia and adds a creative modern twist. We are fans! Well done Terre team!

This is the perfect date night restaurant. I love the little courtyard where we sat, it’s so cozy, intimate and romantic. We loved this restaurant on our amazing trip in Kefalonia! We will be back for sure!

5 stars all around. The people and atmosphere were amazing. All dishes we ordered were delicious. My favorite would be the ribeye the flavors were unreal and my favorite desert was the banoffee pie, it had chocolate biscuit, banana ice cream and dulce de leche foam. The drinks as well were 10/10 and we kept coming back just to sit at the bar!

We visited today after searching for a more “up market” dining experience in Kefalonia. Let me start by saying that what you’ll get / how you’ll rate it depends on what your expectations are. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience on par with Michelin or aspiring Michelin star restaurants, unfortunately it falls a bit short. If you’re looking for tasty food, well presented and with a bit of a twist, you won’t be disappointed. So 3 stars for fine dining but 5 stars for a more upmarket experience. More specifically, the food was great but there were the little attention to detail things that make the difference between Michelin star and not. For example the watermelon salad had pips in the watermelon. In a Michelin star restaurant I’d expect that these are removed. Service was OK and they are all super friendly and trying their best but ideally they need a bit more training. For example the waiter did not refill our glasses with water, which again I’d expect to be done. They forgot to bring over a set of spoons as promised to serve our starters between us. Which is fine, no big deal but equally it can be made a bit better to hit fine dining expectations. Similarly the mains were way late - we waited close to 45 minutes between starters arriving and mains being served. Again not ideal and indicates that the kitchen is not running like clockwork. If, on the other hand you’re expecting great tasty food with excellent presentation you won’t be disappointed. But it needs a bit more work to go up there and meet fine dining expectations. I really hope the above are taken onboard as this place has a lot of potential. The food was great, the waiters super friendly, the ambiance excellent. Just a bit more attention to detail and it can be truly great!

We had the degustation menu and it was ok, bit not in relation to the price and definitely not Michelin star niveau. Quite a lot if dishes contained Feta and therefor a unique flavor. The staff and ambiente was nice, but it was far too expensive for this menu.

The place is amazing, the views are perfect!!! If you have the possibility of watching the rise of a full moon, do it! It’s phantastic!! The food is also very good! The only problem here is the waiter (the one we found in the evening). He is truly rude. Incredibly unfriendly, unhelpful, and out of place with the wonderful scene that is the rest.

Stayed at the beach. Man who hires the sunbeds is absolutely wonderful 😊 so friendly too, But unfortunately the 2 men at the bar were not friendly, we was told to sit at a table, but 2 young ladies walked in and sat down, and was given menus straight away, we waited and was totally ignored. It wasn't even busy, so we decided to walk away, it's a shame as we had to go elsewhere on our scooter to collect refreshments for our time on the beach

I don't recommend it for any reason in the world. I waited 2 hours in that bar waiting for the food ordered without even having the right drinks: instead of 2 pepsi they gave us 1 when we requested it again after 30 minutes they didn't bring it back only after another half hour they gave it to us. I ordered a simple cheeseburger and 2 brushette with tomato and feta, dishes that take 10 minutes of preparation, instead we arrived there at 2 pm we left at 4 pm. The place is nice with a nice view, but the prices are high and the service is very slow

The spot is perfect - what a lovely little cove Agios Thomas is (if a little crowded). Didn't eat, bottled beer was cold and tasty but predictably pricey. Differing attitudes from bar staff. One was super, the other acted like he couldn't be arsed and took 2-3 times of asking before he looked up from his phone each time. Shame really.

first impressions are good. But then I had the feeling that I was deceived. The waiters are rude and arrogant. I will list all the evidence below.We asked what "fish of the day" (the price for which was not indicated) in the end we paid 36 euros only for it. In other places, this fish is worth 16 euros. Below I will put a photo that shows the price of everything (despite the fact that we left hungry from there). Avoid this institution, it is better to go to the tavern opposite there, the rating is better, although they only work up to 16 ° °. And in general, use the rating system it might come in handy

Top Spot 🫶 We had lunch here and didn’t see a single other tourist around. You sit right by the harbour, and the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. The salads and the appetizer dip were excellent. Nice restaurant by the waterfront. We stopped in for a casual lunch. Good service and the menu had very good choices. The food arrived promptly and hot. You can sit inside or out and there is another seating area across the road closer to the water. Not bad for people or boat watching. I would stop in again.

Omg! How Amazing the food is here. I had to travel to Argostoli to find the best authentic Greek slow-cooked rotisserie meat grills and over the coals bbq - better than Athens or Melbourne Australia! Succulent and juicy meats slow grilled to perfection, with simple traditional sides of A1 ingredients with produce-driven flavours - tomatoes like you’ve never tasted before!

The food was lush - so tasty. and great portion sizes. All freshly made and marinated everyday. We’d seen it on instagram and it didn’t disappoint. It’s run by an Aussie family with Greek heritage. So cooking on the grill couldn’t be any more perfect. The salads were truly amazing. The atmosphere was truly Greek in style. Very cosy. Fun, casual vibes. (If I could make one suggestion it would be to upgrade the toilets.) you won’t regret an evening at the hidden garden IMHO.

If you’re searching for the best traditional Greek style BBQ you’ve found it at Hidden Garden. We spent a month travelling around Greece and this was by far the best restaurant we ate at. Not only in Kefalonia but in all of Greece. We kept returning and ate here 4 out of the 7 nights we stayed in Argostoli. The lamb and pork was some of the most succulent and delicious meat we’ve ever eaten. The restaurant is family owned and operated, the staff are super friendly and make the overall experience even more enjoyable. This is a must visit if you’re in Kefalonia.

The staff were very attentive and super friendly and the food was simply incredible. I went with the waiter's recommendation of the pork from the spit and it was the best pork I've ever had. Everything we ordered was beautiful and the atmosphere was really intimate and cosy. If we're ever back in Kefalonia we'll be sure to visit again!

Great Pizza! New York Style with a Greek twist, all fresh ingredients in abundance for the big appetites. The Staff was real friendly and service was great, price was just right! Must come again

Best pizza in Argostoli.. I visit every year. The service is great & it’s a great place for people watching at night. Looking over the square. The finger combo is the best starter too!
