Restaurant
Gharb Rangers Bar & Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Gharb, Gozo. It's known for its relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by gardens in a 200-year-old converted farmhouse. The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes and other delicacies prepared using age-old recipes.
Was a bit chilly , and they offered blankets. Was taken aback with the food , and service and all at a very reasonable price, view was fantastic, food very well cooked and presented, as well as a very reasonable priced wine list. Pity they don't do lunches. 5 star all the way
John R — Google review
From the moment we arrived, the service at this restaurant was warm, attentive, and professional. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made us feel welcome right away, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I ordered the Spanish cannelloni, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly baked with rich, flavorful filling and just the right amount of creamy sauce. Every bite was full of authentic taste and care in preparation. To finish, I had the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The crumble was golden and crisp, the apples soft and spiced just right, and the creamy vanilla ice cream on top brought it all together beautifully. An unforgettable dining experience—I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family!

Great spot for some good food and a fantastic view! We did not know quite what to expect on our first night in Gharb when we tried in here but it blew away our expectations. It’s nothing fancy but good food done well with lots of choice and very good portions! The terrace is also stunning. Highly recommended!
Catherine H — Google review
It's a sports bar with an upstairs terrace. The pizzas are great quality and value probably one between two instead of one each 😃 The servers were enthusiastic snd friendly but young and possibly under trained. Everything has to be delivered from below via a dumb waiter so don't fret if your food isn't in front of you immediately. Just enjoy the view and what a view it is ...
Spike 1 — Google review
Absolutely delightful experience! The sea bream was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked—full of flavor and freshness. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, made even better by the kind and attentive waiters. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-quality seafood and friendly hospitality.
Suraj M — Google review
I can only speak concerning thz pizzas since i ordered 2. The pizzas were great! Loved the menu and prices! The only "bad" thing, (and actually pretty bad idea in my opinion) is that on the garlic lovers.. you put raw garlic on it, in thick chunks, that destroys every other taste you add on the pizza😕 And i repeat, the rest is nice! The only things are those big chunks of garlic ruining the pizza,
Antonin L — Google review
Beautiful view from the upper terrace to the church. Stuff was very friendly, and dinner was very good! Try the spare ribs, I really liked them. Also the sauted mushrooms as starter were fantastic. Small but good wine list. Thank you!

Cozy local place with a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant. We had the Mediterranean Chicken and a bottle of the 1919 Red. A perfect combination 🙂.

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb on the picturesque Island of Gozo, Grazie Mille Restaurant offers a delightful Italian dining experience that is hard to resist. This quaint eatery, housed in a beautifully renovated character home, invites you to relax in its cozy courtyard while savoring dishes crafted from the finest ingredients. Renowned for its delectable seafood and fresh pasta, Grazie Mille also features a food store where you can purchase authentic Italian products to take home.
Authentic Italian cuisine for a very reasonable price! This restaurant has a lovely seating area in a courtyard surrounded by plants. The service was friendly and the seafood fresh and the pasta is homemade - everything we tried was cooked to perfection! Don’t leave without dessert - the panna cotta was the best I ever had!
Jana — Google review
Excellent food, homemade pasta fantastic. Also the vitello tonato. Huge portion of pulpo, very soft and tasty. Went there twice and were not disappointed. Always again. Friendly service, and good wines with fair prices. Thanks
Oliver P — Google review
A lovely little spot to dine in Gozo. We had a large group, but came early, and they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend the seafood myself, but those who had pasta dishes were all very happy with them!

A late walk in from the ferry after 9pm on Sunday night. Expert Negroni. Delicious pasta vongole. Excellent pork chop Milanese - Perfectly cooked. Lovely service. Super wine list. Great value! Highly recommended!!! Can’t wait for my next visit… Five minutes from home 🎇

Absolutely phenomenal food and great, Italian atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to visit this place and taste their delicious dishes.

Fantastic restaurant in Gharb Very friendly owner and most important Very good Food and Wine there Can only recommend to try a dish there I Got the fresh egg taggliatelli with sausage and beff and drank a maltese redwine Fenici red. And as i bonus i got a shot of Hong Thong thai whiskey
Samuel N — Google review
Really small place with indoor seating as well as a small courtyard at the back. Courteous staff and nominal prices. Dishes were very well done, nominally priced and the portions were very generous. I would recommend the Sicilian fried cannolini. The only downside is a tricky location at a sharp left hand turn in the village of Gharb. Parking is off-road but can be a tight squeeze.
Vinay S — Google review
An Italian restaurant with high quality food, staff is helpful and friendly. We went there to have lunch and didn't have to wait for long time. Definitely a more formal place.

Wonderful little restaurant run by the owner. Friendly, attentive and a damn good cook! He uses local meat and vegetables. Must visit if you're staying in town.

This place is absolutely amazing. It is typical local restaurant with excellent atmosphere and very polite staff. It is open during lunch time untill 3pm and during dinner from 6pm. We enjoied all of our meals and home made desserts. I realy appreciate local places like this restaurant, if you have possibility to visit, i recommend 100% this place!
Peter L — Google review
Best of the best Malteses meals so far we tried over a week. Everything cooked perfectly, lamb, fish and quail were juicy and delicious. Service was top, food came quicly on our tables, non stop smiles and politiness of the waitress.
Povilas Č — Google review
We stopped in tonight after noticing the great reviews online - and we certainly weren’t disappointed! We had the fresh whole fish of the day, which was sea bass, and it was *chef’s kiss* to die for. Even the sides, roasted veg and tomato sauce, were amazing. My son had the penne carbonara, and it was also very tasty. If you’re looking for fresh fish, this is the place to go!
Jennifer A — Google review
After a long and winding road from the opposite side of Malta, Marsaskala, to Gharb, we decided to have dinner at the nearest place possible, Salvina’s. Didn’t regret it, felt immediately welcome, taken care of, and the woodburning stove did the rest. As starters I had smoked fish with salad, for mains a salmon done just the way I like it, a couple of Cisk's to go along, and an especially custom made cortado (mini cappuccino, sort of) to finish of the chocolate gateaux with cream. Of course, there's always room for improvement: the fish fingers should be replaced by Dutch "vis sticks", kids will love it!
Wales G — Google review
I was looking a place to eat dinner, during my first night in Gozo. So, I found that Salvina was still open and entered. The waiter, welcomed me really friendly and took me to the available table. After I checked the menu, I decided to try the local dish of rabbit stew and a beer. I received the beer and some really nice grilled bread. After 15-20 minutes, from the moment I placed the order, I received a big dish with hot stew and three fresh made side dishes. I really enjoyed. The meat was so good cooked that you didn't need the use of the knife. The side dishes, great. I really enjoyed the vegetables. I really recommend that place. Just one thing. Please update the menu that you got at the entrance. The prices were different with the one that I received at the table :)
Pavlos A — Google review
Lovely local restaurant with local foods. Had a perfect swordfish steak and octopus as well. All served very quickly with a sweet man running the place. Would recommend if staying in Gharb.
Chris T — Google review
We had two really nice meals here. Service was prompt and very friendly - the food was really nice, with a slightly 'nostalgic' twist to the menu - prawn cocktail, chicken Kiev and beef stroganoff taking pride of place alongside the more usual items. We also had rib eye and prawns, both of which were expertly grilled. Lovely end of town to boot. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth a visit or two.

Restaurant
Ta' Dbiegi Cafettaria is a delightful little spot that offers an array of tasty dishes at reasonable prices, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. Known for its generous portions, especially the rabbit dish served with a fresh salad—a rarity in many places—this café stands out for its commitment to providing value without compromising on quality. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for enjoying uncomplicated yet delicious meals like Caesar salads and homemade burgers.
Great little find in the craft village. Just wanted a little bite to eat, at risk of sounding like a snob didn't look like anything special, but the food and service were great! Try the bruschetta and paprika chips. The salmon ciabatta was lovely. Greek salad and chicken caesar salad were great too. Service was good. Would recommend - it may be overlooked due to the larger pastry cafe on site, but worth a visit! Lots of the photos on Google reviews are of the pastry place and not of this little cafe!
Sam H — Google review
Good food with nice and friendly waiters and for a fair price. Also its in a nice "alley" with different shops around. Perfect place for a nice lunch
Timotej V — Google review
One of the best croissant and orange juice that we had this week. Worth checking!
Marcin H — Google review
Lovely little café that's located in the craft village, we stopped here for lunch. I had soup which was amazing and my wife and son got pancakes which they loved. The coffee and service was great too :)
Iain M — Google review
The worst place I have ever been too on Gozo. Was here recently with friends as was told the new chef was amazing. Lets just talk about poor personal hygiene first of all and when I asked for my food I was rudely met my Andrew or Andy asking me to leave as the place was owned by police and he was well connected. Avoid this place at all costs, the staff are dirty and the food is no better
Nick G — Google review
We took the salmon ciabatta and the ftira and both were really good! The waiters greeted you with a big smile and were so friendly. Great find!

Il Kunvent is a delightful local eatery that captures the essence of Gozo with its charming atmosphere and delectable cuisine. Guests can enjoy their meals in a lovely outdoor area or on the beautiful terrace, where even a curious cat might join you! The menu features fresh seafood, like their whole sea bream, which is both flavorful and reasonably priced. Diners rave about the generous portion sizes and complimentary starters, making it an excellent value for money.
This has to be the best restaurant food i have ever had, every single item on the table was perfect and the service was excellent. Very good value for money with amazingly generous portion sizes and a free plate of appetisers of simple but tasty items. Definitely recommend this to anyone close to the area and would love to revisit and try even more from the menu, thank you once again for the heavenly food

Pizza looks good on photos. The crust war really hard, no taste,. Somehow I think, the pizza could be made better. I am sure, I can cook a better spaghetti than the one I ate here.

We had a nice dinner. Taste, food, and service are good. And reasonable price! I recommend this restaurant. 양이 혜자스러워요😝

Lovely local restaurant, walked by and saw the cat sitting on the wall eyeing up everyone’s food so funny! They have an outdoor area at the front and a terrace upstairs which is beautiful too! Half a bottle of lovely wine from Malta as well. Was given a free starter of hummus and crackers which was nice and I ordered the whole sea bream but they accidentally gave it to the person behind me and I got the fillet one. Which was delicious !! So fresh and so tasty! €12.50 for fish! Will be back again!
Marina M — Google review
An absolute gem of a place, the best food we had on Gozo easily. Delicious from start to finish, great service and very helpful staff explaining what everything was.
Jim — Google review
Disappointed overall. Pizza toppings really lacking. Very plain and bland. Expensive for what you get. We were charged an extra .50c for anchovies but we hardly had any on the pizza. €32 for 2 pizza and ravioli. A rip off. Won't go back.

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb, Malta, Ic-Centru Bar and Restaurant is a delightful spot that captures the essence of local dining. This inviting eatery offers a cozy atmosphere where visitors can savor traditional Maltese cuisine alongside international dishes. The menu features an array of options to please every palate, making it an ideal choice for families or groups looking to enjoy a meal together.
This was the best rabbit I've ever eaten, except for the one my wife makes. Moderate prices, very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Artur S — Google review
We ordered a Gorgonzola burger & seafood pasta. The burger was dry & over cooked, good size but burned bun & not much of Gorgonzola or bacon made it very ordinary & not worth its €11 price. However the fries were hot & good. The seafood pasta was good with clams & mussels but not much else of seafood. Good sauce but didn’t seem homemade sauce.
Mo H — Google review
We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfectly baked, with fresh ingredients and a rich, authentic flavor that really stood out. You can tell they put care into every detail. What truly made our visit special was the warm and welcoming service. George, the host, was outstanding — incredibly friendly, funny, attentive, and made us feel right at home. He gave great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. If you're looking for a place with great food and even better hospitality, this is the spot. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Very good pizzas. Flavourful and delicious and baked with care. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!!
Jean-Claude D — Google review
I only came the once which is a shame as I did think I would have liked to visit more. There was a lovely welcome and I was shown through the (noisy) bar into the restaurant. I chose not to sit facing the enormous TV with football playing! I had the mushroom pizza, which was excellent and a good price and a glass of wine. The service was without fault. The menu had many meals I would have liked so I do hope to go again.
Louise L — Google review
What a gem of a spot! The pizza is absolutely amazing — especially the Margherita. Fresh, flavorful, and just hits the spot. Easily one of the best we had on the island. But what really made the evening unforgettable was George, our waiter. Not only was he super friendly and welcoming, but when he noticed we wanted to take a group photo with our friends, he didn’t just offer to help — he went above and beyond. George found us the perfect photo spots near the cathedral and made sure we got a beautiful memory to take home. It’s rare to meet someone so genuine and thoughtful — he truly made us feel like locals for the night. The place itself has such a relaxed, authentic vibe. Mostly locals, great energy, and that calm, peaceful Maltese atmosphere you instantly fall in love with. And being right next to the stunning cathedral just adds to the magic. Can’t recommend this place enough — will definitely be back!

Nestled in a charming spot, Brejku Restaurant is a hidden gem that you might easily overlook, but stepping inside reveals a beautifully designed interior and an inviting outdoor dining area. The best meal we've had in Gozo but one of the better restaurants I've had. The duck was extraordinary! I don't see my family often and I suggested this as an evening out before we left the island and this did not disappoint. Everyone was pleased and the staff were as lovely as the atmosphere. Definitely a place not to miss!

Our favourite restaurant by far in Gozo! So much so that we kept coming back during our holiday and worked our way through the menu. A must visit if you're staying at the Kempinski Hotel Saint Lawrenz - make sure you visit at the start of your holiday so that you have enough time to come back! Rebecca and her family are incredibly welcoming, the outdoor seating area is a hidden gem, I recommend the beef cheek, lamb shank, chicken and the pasta dishes are heavenly as was the chocolate fondant (we visited many times!). I wish I'd taken more photos to share but we always remembered once our plates were empty! Thank you Rebecca for such delicious food and wonderful dining experiences.

Had dinner here twice recently and it was excellent. You would easily pass it by but it is beautiful inside and has an outside dining area at the back. The food and drinks menu are good and they specialise in flambé dishes, I had the flambé steak and it was delicious. The sides were excellent as well. We also enjoyed the slow cooked lamb shank. We were too full to try the Crêpes Suzette! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and service was excellent. A great addition to the area.

Il-Kunvent is a charming restaurant located in Gharb, on the Island of Gozo, Malta. The restaurant offers a delightful Mediterranean dining experience and has received positive reviews from visitors. The ambiance is described as amazing with lovely background music, creating a gorgeous atmosphere. The food is praised for its delicious flavors and reasonable prices. Il-Kunvent's dinner area has been recently renovated and is well-presented, making it an ideal spot for a memorable evening meal.
Great little restaurant in the heart of Gharb. The Maltese sharing platter (with local sausage, cheese and rabbit, fried ravioli and Mediterranean veg) was delicious, the pasta dishes were really tasty too, and we had another local speciality (imqaret - a fried pastry filled with dates) for dessert. Prices are very reasonable, and there's also a good selection of wines, including local ones.
John B — Google review
Our first time here was very good. Friendly & good service. We ordered the Pomegranate salad which was tasty, tangy and fresh though it had a bit too much dressing. The beef cheek pasta was absolutely delicious. Pasta cooked perfectly, the meat was very tender & full of taste. Lastly the mushroom beef burger was cooked right, medium, nice grill taste. Happy with our first time dinner here.

Delicious food and great service. The skate fish was tender and juicy melts in your mouth. Paccheri with beef cheek and truffle amazing and for the deserts all freshly prepared. Must try the cannoli, they are worth it! Decent prices and most importantly all food was good!!!

Everything we had at il-Kunvent was delicious, from the complimentary beet soup to start to the incredible mains (burrata pizza and spaghetti rabbit) and a perfect dessert to finish, chocolate fondant and date fritter. They also very kindly let us eat outside despite being fully booked for the indoor area- highly recommended to anyone who wants a truly superb meal on Gozo!

Il-Kunvent Restaurant in Gharb is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism — their smiles instantly made us feel at home. The service throughout the evening was flawless: attentive without being intrusive, and always with a personal touch. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The sea bass ceviche was a true highlight — a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavours, with fish so fresh it literally melted on the tongue. The beef cheek pasta was equally impressive: rich, hearty, and cooked to perfection, offering comfort and sophistication in every bite. Everything from the presentation to the atmosphere was spot-on. You can tell that everyone at Il-Kunvent truly cares about creating an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re visiting Gozo, don’t miss this place. It’s easily one of the best meals we’ve had on the island — a perfect blend of warmth, flavour, and genuine hospitality.
