Bellisimo xx ate here on our last night. Wish we had come sooner. Beautiful food at reasonable prices, highly recommend the cheese starter, the mustard marmalade dip is delicious. The pizzas are huge & delicious . Excellent xxx

Absolutely fantastic local restaurant. Menu highlights some classic takes on spaghetti and also has fish and seafood options. I ordered the caprese mozzarella and tomato with pane, everyone loved the dish. A must stop when you’re in the area, highly recommend.

This restaurant charmed us from the very first moment! The atmosphere is genuinely warm and welcoming — soft lighting, pleasant music, and cozy traditional Italian decor make you feel like you're visiting old friends. The cuisine exceeded all expectations. Every dish was prepared with love and skill, preserving the authentic flavors of Italy. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail and freshness of ingredients. But the real highlight was the staff. Their genuine smiles, attentive service, and professional recommendations made our evening truly special. Thank you for such a warm welcome and unforgettable experience! Greetings from Belarus!

Amazing local restaurant with a wide variety of foods and reasonable prices. If you are in the area you won't be disappointed dining here. Very friendly waiters and amazing food. I would definitely recommend 5/5.
Florin M — Google review
We had chosen this place because we were passing by. The first time we ate Trio Tuna, spaghetti with mussels and fileja with nduja -all was very good, so we decided to choose the fish soup which was supposed to be ordered the day before. The day we ordered this soup it cost 25€, the day we ate it 35€. We even caught the Staff that hadn't change the price in one of the menus but we were charged 35€. Not to mention that the soup was tastless, not worth even 25€. We are prepared to pay more for good food but we don't like to be cheated. So feel warned!
Zofia P — Google review
What impressed me the most was the professional and friendly wait staff who go out of their way to make you comfortable. It was exactly what I wanted: fresh seafood, holiday, “seaside” atmosphere, great service. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice place in Parghelia. Good food, trattoria and pizzeria. We tried pastas, fritto mixto, grilled fish. Good portions. Amazing sweets with original presentation. Nice staff. Lovely terrace

The restaurant is a very nice place to eat. The setting is very charming and gives a high quality feeling. The food is fresh, delicious and beautiful plates. And it doesn't matter if you order a pizza or a 3 course meal... the waiters are always super friendly. If you want to go a night out for diner in a peaceful place, this is where you have to be! If I am on holiday in Tropea, this is definitely a restaurant I visit.

Wonderful place. Perfect tasting food. The menu is also suitable for children. Thank you for a great experience in the cozy little town of Parghelia. Greetings from lithuanians.
Milda B — Google review
Horrible experience. Neighboring restaurants were significantly better. They are understaffed and even after it they forgot a part of our order after an hour of no one checking in on us, they felt like a 5 euro discount was enough to make up for it. Do yourself a favor skip this place.
Bruno F — Google review
I am writing this note in good faith not to harm. I hope this restaurant consider this as help and change some things. The restaurant has nice place. It looks very expensive so we had good feelings. They gave us very soon foccacia- it wasn’t so bad. After this starter finally they gave us our beers- little bit too late 😅 After that we get big salad for 14€ in this price we expected something magical but it was few ingredients mix in one big bowl and nothing more, no flavour, no taste, nothing. And then we get our pasta. Mine wasn’t that bad, it was pasta with creme and fish. But my girlfriend ordered gnocchi and that was a catastrophe. They put cold gnocchi on a plate, then tomato sauce and on the top mozzarella (but it supposte to be parmesan) and put this 3 ingredients to the microwave. Hot on the sides and completely cold inside. No taste at all, completely nothing and this cold. We politely report this to the stuff and we’re hoping for at least apologize or maybe small discount but again nothing. We just want to pay and live but we had to ask 2 other waiters for check and after 20 min of wait we could finally leave. 2 guests, money 60€, 6 waiters, few guests but a lot of problems though.
Adrian N — Google review
I would never expect, that swordfish with tomatos could be so magnificent! The fastest and the most professional service I have seen in Italy. The atmosphere is quite, calm and relaxed. The only recommended in Praghelia!

Nestled in the charming town of Parghelia, Pizzeria da Antonio is a delightful family-run establishment that captures the essence of local Italian cuisine. With an inviting atmosphere and a menu featuring homemade products, this pizzeria offers an array of delicious pizzas and grilled meats. Visitors rave about the prompt service, even during busy hours, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy a satisfying meal without long waits.
Visited this evening and had a fantastic pizza. The pizzas arrived promptly and full of flavour. I'd definitely recommend this place. I have read another review which said they don't accept card payment. However, I paid by card this evening, so perhaps this is a new addition.
David M — Google review
We were visitors from Budapest and found the pizzeria accidentally in Parghelia. We ate pizza and drank wine,3 people. The food tasted good, the atmosphere was like home and the final sum was too low. The proprietor would deserve a higher income in our opinion. It is a respectful pizzeria indeed.
Akos M — Google review
Overall it was a decent experience. The pizza is good for the price but not amazing and the arancini is good but very big and really salty. The atmosphere is very nice aside from the radio music playing.
Daniel N — Google review
Very good family pizzeria. Delicious pizza, thin dough. Calabrian delicacies also excellent. I recommend
Pawel K — Google review
Great, cosy place, fantastic pizza and nice service
Marta — Google review
Privately owned pizzeria - grill run by (I guess) family members. We arrived at about 8pm when it was full but we were served at a jet speed. It was probably because we went for a grilled meat instead of pizza. The food was good and at a reasonable price. I can recommend this place - if you are ready to get over a communication barrier. They speak “Italiano solo” (only Italian 😊) but with a little bit of patience you get what you want.
Tomas H — Google review
Excellent pizzas, friendly prompt service and great atmosphere. I suggest eating in front of the restaurant as it's prettier and cooler but you need to book as the space is limited. At the back, under the umbrella can be a bit hot in August. After dinner, go to Bar Pepè for one of their renowned ice creams!
Rosemary B — Google review
Only one, maybe two tables per day. Pizza is not good ,you stay at table, and 6-8 owner relatives makes noise. It is the worst taverna that I see in Italy

Located just a short drive south on the Strada Statale, Chalet sul Mare offers a perfect way to end your day with an aperitivo. Despite being often overlooked, this restaurant boasts outstanding views from its cliff-side perch overlooking the sea. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike, who are drawn in by the warm welcome they receive despite any language barriers.
The food was excellent. We had the grilled Sea Bass and grilled Swordfish. They were both done to perfection. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The location and views are incredible. We were there at sunset and it was magical. Highly recommend this lovely place!

We felt very welcomed!! Despite language barriers we felt home and came here by driving 30km from our hotel everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner. We loved it. Great view is a plus but real thing is the nice lady who runs here.:) Sincerity and smile does not have language.

I am so 😡. We came at around 13:10 and it took until 15:30 till we got the main course. I can understand that during Sunday lunch, restaurants get busy and it can take a bit oonger, but here, 1 hour wait until antipasto (not very good) , then another hour and we got the fries that vere supposed to go with the main, after next 20 minutes salad and finally after another while the fritto misto. During the whole time the waitresses did not communicate, when I approached one of them she did not even stop to ask what I wanted and it felt quite rude. It was a very frustrating experience that was crowned by the bill. More than 100 eur for this terrible experience and food that was very average. Altough the view is auite nice and it could have been a nice place, I definitely do not recommend and ubderstand the angry reviews here. Definitely the worst experience we had in Italy in 10 years regularly traveling here.

Mediocre food for Italy. The octopus on my pasta was anywhere to find. The muscles on the past were mostly closed and some tasted not good. Beer was warm. Service was good. View was amazing

The service and food were amazing. Fast, easy, we arrived nearly at 15 and the kitchen was closed but they managed to get us what we wanted to eat for lunch. I highly recommend it

The panorama is amasing, food is good and tasty, service very bad. Waited 2 hours with 2 kids even if we asked for a simple pasta al pomodoro for the kids we had to wait from 1 pm to 3 pm. Apart that oir main corse came totally wrong but we were afraid of waiting other 2 hours if we had asked to bring us what we ordered

Ristorante pizzeria Miseria & Nobiltà is a popular spot known for its excellent and delicious pizzas. The crust is particularly outstanding, and the flavors are unique and special. The restaurant is praised for using fresh ingredients and offering a variety of pizza options, including some not found on the menu. Despite being a casual place, it's highly regarded for serving some of the best pizzas in Calabria.
One of the best pozza I had in the last years. Highly reccommended. Neapolitan pizza style family owned ristorant great service.
Teodor B — Google review
Absolutely delicious pizzas. Perfect crust and a tangy, passata style tomato sauce. Wanted more basil but could've easily asked and recieved. My wife's pizza was a bit rich for her taste but the margarita I had was great. Could've used a bit more cooking on the bottom to crisp but it was very tasty nonetheless. Probably the best pizza in Parghelia. Price was fantastic too. They had some noisy sporting event on the tv which didn't really give the place a pleasant ambiance but it's Italy so I get it.
Scott S — Google review
Excellent! Without a risk i can say it was the Best pizza I ever eat. Great place and service. Must visit palce if you are near Tropea.

Oliwia B — Google review
Excellent pizza. The crust is amazing and the flavors very special. I asked for less pomodoro on the Margherita for my son... Well, that didn't work, but might be because of may awful Italian. And the coke could have been colder.

Lido La Grazia is a charming beach spot located to the right of Tropea harbor, offering a good stretch of sandy beach and clear waters. Visitors can rent sun loungers with umbrellas for a relaxing day by the sea. The small selection of restaurants behind the beach provides mainly lunchtime options, and while some have praised the food and spectacular views, others have noted minor inconveniences like steep entries into the water and lacking toilet seats.
Very nice and welcoming place Vincenzo top waiter. The food was very nice and the view over the sea amazing. Highly recommended

What a great lunch we had with a spectacular view. The food was fantastic. However the toilets have no seats. Coming from Canada that's a little weird. But I recommend the eggplant pasta Parmigiano

Nice beach, white sand, but the sand is a bit gritty turning to pebbles near to the shore. Clear clean water, a lot of large rocks in the water so good for snorkeling.

We found this restaurant via Google. They have 2 changing Menues ( Check instagram for daily menu) we Took both menues to share. Food was amazing, the menu Portion Sizes were way too big to finish for a single person. Prize was very cheap for what we got. Definitive recommendation. Bring a good apetite. There are good offers for a drink + appetizer as Well.

Excellent restaurant! Only fresh ingredients and the menu changes everyday. Giuseppe was very kind! We had dinner 2 days in a row and was a great experience both days.
Maria E — Google review
Was there late September last year. The service, the food, the wine, and a what seemed to be a spontaneous guitar and singing concert put on by the fabulous chef outside under the awning while it poured rain outside, made for a most fantastic experience. We'll never forget it. The customers, including us, joined in with the singing and some dancing, too. Such a unexpected fun evening in a tiny town (with a huge heart) that we booked to stay over while on the way to the ferry.
Debbie B — Google review
They have short, new menu every day, everything is very fresh and really delicious! People are friendly and wine is great. Best restaurant in the area.

We had an amazing time, starting with the food and ending with the staff… everything was perfect. It was the place we enjoyed going more than once. But I must recognize… the waitress, which I am ashamed I didn’t ask for her name, had a very good energy and totally loved her, even though I don’t know her name, you will recognize her by her vibe!🤍
Denisa P — Google review
We came here for dinner based on the reviews we read on Google etc. I can't quite figure out why this place has so many shining reviews. Our experience was certainly not a five star one unfortunately. The food is served as a 3 course meal prix fixe (you pay one price for the three courses). We were given a typical antipasti selection which was decent enough but the second dish was a pasta that was undercooked - yes, we know "al dente", this was undercooked - and served with an inedible cured meat of some type. The final course, a meatloaf with an egg in the center, was microwaved into an oily, rubbery mess that we simply didn't eat it was that bad. My wife had a very bad stomach episode after eating here. The service was fine. Not good, just fine. The diner beside us had to remind the servers to bring his second course and the couple to our other side was brought the wrong dish, resulting in one of them having to wait for his meal even after his partner had finished. There are better options nearby. Can't recommend this place unfortunately.
Scott S — Google review

(Translated by Google) The pizza was good, the place was quiet and also easy to reach, free parking on the street. It's a shame only because I wanted to try the various grilled dishes but the girl told me that it would take a bit too long to wait for the food and so she recommended the pizzas, for for which we only waited about 50 minutes minutes so I wouldn't know if it was worth the thought wait for the kitchen at this point and the place wasn't full, although I want to think it was the fault of the party he was having. All in all, the food and the friendliness of everyone make me think of returning and I hope to be able to try the cuisine. We tried the local white wine, very very light. All for two pizzas, water, wine around €23 (Original) La pizza era buona, il posto tranquillo e anche semplice da raggiungere, parcheggio gratuito su strada.

(Translated by Google) Off the beaten path, you'll find authentic cuisine. Pizzeria Ristorante San Francesco offers just that: traditional Calabrian cuisine, as it should be. Following Google's info (thanks to reviewers), we found this place. There's no showy display designed to impress (the exterior doesn't attract tourists, but perhaps that's a good thing). But inside, the truth comes through: excellent ingredients will win you over. A few dishes, but enough to get to know the area, all homemade with home-grown vegetables (grown directly by the owners). The first courses are delicious, as are the appetizers, pizzas, and second courses. But even the wait before tasting excellent Fileja alla Norma or alla Calabrese is worth it. The flavor explodes in your mouth. Simple, yet genuine and sincere, flavors that are missing from the surrounding tourist restaurants. Added to this is a rare kindness and courtesy that make the dinner even more enjoyable and make you say: I'll be back again (which we did). If you have a car and want to experience the simplicity of Calabrian flavors, I recommend going there—it's really worth it. We've been back three times. Congratulations.

Proprietari gentilissimi e cortesi

(Translated by Google) In a small village inland from Briatico, there's this pizzeria. It's certainly unassuming, both inside and out, but it's very unique from a gastronomic standpoint. I'll start by saying that, for two people, we didn't order pizza or main courses, but for those of us who prefer first courses and side dishes, we were truly surprised. The preparations were truly well done, with simple but top-quality ingredients that made the dishes particularly tasty (nothing like the same, dull dishes at more renowned restaurants in the area!). Finally, a tomato that tastes like a tomato and so many other flavors that belong to true home cooking, now sadly forgotten or, worse, unknown to most!

A family-run pizzeria with a wood-fired oven. We ordered four different pizzas, and they were all truly excellent. This place was an absolute gem. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the service was warm and genuinely attentive, and everything just felt easy and pleasant. And then came the food. The swordfish was out of this world, perfectly grilled and full of flavour. Everything on the plate was fresh and well balanced and it all just worked. Add to that a cold Aperol and friendly staff who clearly care and you’ve got the kind of spot you want to come back to before you’ve even left.

I’m going to sound like a snob .. but I’ve been blessed to have eaten at several Michelin star establishments all over America , Europe and Asia . Specifically Japan . This place has two dishes that can easily get them one star the Paccheri with sword fish and the Calabrian pasta with pork and beef ragú . They were sublime . I literally came back two days later to eat here. The service was also great ! During the summer they’re always busy . Even though is a bit of quiet town , you see locals and tourist alike flocking to this place . Hopefully Stanley Tucci finds it !!

The food was very delicious and tasty. The portions were large. I really like the staff because si very kind and funny. I think this is one of the best italian restaurant in Parghelia. I highly recommend you this place.

Probably the best place in Parghelia! Excellent local food and lovely staff. The best Tartufo I’ve ever eaten! Cheers and compliments to all of you but special praise to Emma! Kindest and speaks very good English! We ate tasty and at reasonable prices - we came back several times, which is probably the best recommendation!

Very kind and welcoming. Vegan friendly if you ask for a vegan option. We had a vegan tomato, eggplant pasta and the best pizza vegetariana in Parghelia.

The Small Fry Shop is a delightful gem that perfectly caters to beachgoers and food lovers alike. After a day in the sun, families can enjoy quick service and an impressive variety of dishes, including excellent vegetarian options. Guests are welcomed with warm smiles, making everyone feel at home. The menu features fresh homemade meals like arancini, focaccia, and delicious vegetable sides such as roasted zucchini and green beans.
very authentic and delicious place! I had one of the best melanzani in my life :) fried calzone was nice as well! super nice owners, recommended for quick lunch (you can also take away!) great value for your money!

Ok place to get a small snack. There was no pizza at the time, so had a pannini. Average food, but acceptable when you are hungry. The woman serving was very friendly. Cheap prices so can't complain.
Mark H — Google review
Me and my family of five ordered a lot of food after going to the beach. This was the perfect place to go because of the quick service and big selection of different foods. When ordering we were greeted with smiles and friendliness. As an English person I felt welcomed to the restaurant with them being patient and kind. Upon ordering we ordered a selection of items (with good vegetarian options). This is the best food I have ever had in Italy. The person serving us gave us some extra food for free as well as some free water (as we became regular customers here). The total for 4 adults and 1 child for a full meal and waters came to 29 euros or under 6 euros each. This place I recommend to anybody who's looking for a quick cheap and delicious lunch, dinner or snack.

The arancini and the focaccia are sooooo extremely tasty! The price-point is unbeatable, just €4 for these two things. The woman that took my order was also super friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
Lucia B — Google review
Excellent fresh homemade food and friendly service. They have a good selection of vegetable dishes too though it is not obvious on Google reviews - on the day we visited the shop they offered cooked green beans, roasted zucchini, peppers, rice with vegetables along with tasty arancini and other specialities. We had our full lunch as take away for 9€/ 2 persons. There are also tables to enjoy your meal at the spot. Highly recommended!

Beware of this scammers. I paid 8,50 Euro for a Panini Caprese and canned icetea. The panini was 3,50 Euro written at the price list. So the icetea ist 5 euros or what? Hope you are going to be happy with the extra euros you are scamming from tourists, poor people. Anyway standing in front of the restaurant, smoking cigarette and then prepare food is disgusting. Don't know how this place even get this good reviews. Additionally the panini was low quality, served on disposable plates.

Getting off the plane and being greeted with kindness and local cuisine is priceless! Its worth it to take a moment, get a delicious bite and begin the southern Italian journey!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went here with my kids at lunch time looking forward to trying the food because it had a good rating. To say the lady who worked behind the counter was rude would be an understatement - she was downright hostile! She clearly didn’t want us there from the moment we stepped in (I think because we were tourists) and made it very obvious with her tone, facial expressions and rudeness. How someone can be so small minded and ignorant towards a family with two young kids is beyond me. We started ordering, but my wife and I decided we would not put up with this awful woman’s attitude and so we left without buying anything. Instead we went down the road to a supermarket where the staff were much more friendly and picked up some snacks. I would imagine locals won’t have this problem, but if you’re a tourist I would recommend you avoid this place like the plague and just enjoy the beach (Spiaggia Michelino) which is lovely.

Ristorante Il Buongustaio, formerly known as Mamma Mia, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with a helpful staff. The menu may have limited options, but the daily specials are highly recommended for their inviting flavors. Guests can enjoy excellent food at reasonable prices, including very fresh fish dishes. The team's hospitality makes diners feel right at home while enjoying both simple and elaborate meals.

(Translated by Google) First of all. I'm just judging the pizza. The service was good and friendly! After the many positive reviews, we ordered pizza to take away today. Nothing special. A Margherita and a ham with mushrooms. The mushrooms were canned. I don't know anything like that from restaurants here. The pizza is from the wood oven but absolutely average. So far the worst in the region. Way too much tomato sauce and cheese. The pizza was really soggy. In addition, both were completely black at the bottom. This made the taste bitter. That's not healthy either. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for pizza! We have been traveling to Italy for over 10 years and have been almost everywhere but even at a rest stop I have had better pizza! It's a shame actually... (Original) Vorweg. Schade eigentlich...

(Translated by Google) I ate here with my family (5 of us), two pasta dishes and three pizzas. The pasta was good, but nothing exceptional. From the restaurant's reviews, we assumed they would serve Neapolitan pizza. However, the pizza is far from being Neapolitan; the dough has the wrong consistency, there's too much sauce on the pizza, and the ingredients don't seem fresh. Overall, a disappointment. And no, we didn't confuse the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) My friend and I had booked. When we arrived the place was deserted. We ordered two pizzas and two medium draft Heineken beers. Really good pizzas. There was no dessert. They had nothing because there was little movement on July 11th. We were outdoors under a pergola, once the pizza was finished my friend kindly asked if she could smoke, I repeat, the place was completely empty, it wasn't possible for her, she had to leave the pergola. At that point, seeing as there was nothing else to do, we asked for the bill: 2 pizzas and two medium beers 36 euros (2.50 per person for a cover charge) and 7 euros for a medium beer which not even in Rome in Trastevere are allowed. to ask.
