The experience left much to be desired, especially for the price. The food was passable but unremarkable, and while the service was fine, it didn’t stand out. The decor, however, was a real head-scratcher—it created an atmosphere that felt more awkward than inviting. Overall, it just didn’t live up to expectations.

We enjoyed an outstandingly good meal at this restaurant at a very reasonable price. The service was excellent, the ambiance was nice and relaxed and each course was memorably delicious. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Ate here last night for my husband’s birthday. Thoroughly enjoyable meal - good service. Fox’s gras terrine was as we would expect, not outstanding, but fine. Warm brioche roll with fruit, very nice accompaniment. Main course Lamb was small but cooked to perfection, potato purée was buttery, and veg nice. Warm goat cheese in filo was good, and the cheese board looked equally nice as it went by.. the star of our meal was the pre-desert rosemary creme brûlée- it was scrummy (nicer than the dessert). We enjoyed our meal, and the surroundings. We would return.

A little scared to post a review after seeing the unpleasant replies from the restaurant staff to other customers who have left reviews, but the woman at this place should try to have some basic respect for her customers. We had a horrible experience here today, in which my family and entered the completely empty restaurant outdoor seating area and sat down, and missed a small sign saying that you wait to be seated. The woman stormed out of the restaurant pointing at us and asked us abruptly if we were English. We thought she was being friendly and nodded and smiled that we are English. She then launched into a tirade about how we should have waited to be seated, and marched over to point at the sign. She continued to berate and humiliate us and tell us off as if we had done something terrible. I'm assuming she has an issue with English tourists (she seems to be making generalisations about english people which is extremely problematic and bordering on discriminatory), despite the fact we would have been nothing but respectful and polite and the 5 of us were about to order lunch. After listening to her lecture and telling us off as if we were school children, we felt sufficiently disrespected and decided to leave. As we got up, she sarcastically said goodbye to us. Extremely bizarre, petty and unwarranted rudeness and aggression from someone who has a lot to learn about customer service.

Had lunch there today. All three of the people that looked after us were very polite and friendly. My French is not good but I try my best. After all, when a French person arrives in the UK, they don’t expect everyone to speak French to them. Food was excellent and reasonable. Overall it was a great experience and I’ll certainly return.

Possibly the rudest staff i have ever met in any restaurant worldwide. My wife and I are still recovering from the shock of their quite gratuitous rudeness. Their hostility is so extreme that I thought at first it was a joke. And the food was poor,which given how long it took to arrive is very surprising.

Very welcoming including with our dog, it's our go to stop for dinner on our way back to Carn ferry terminal. Food lovely.

Last night was our 17th day in France and the meal we had was our best meal on holiday. Wonderful experience surrounded by local people in a calm, friendly atmosphere. Went here for a evening meal with my husband whilst staying in Cordey. Did not book but on arrival were greeted by very friendly staff who spoke English (Thank god because our French is awful!) showed us to a table with no hesitation and provided us with an English menu which one member of staff herself had translated, and very well may I add. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, we had the season menu priced at €24.50 for 3 courses. Also had a bottle of 2017 bougelais priced at €24 which was by far the best French wine I have tasted so far. Definitely recommend Le Jardin to anyone visiting Falaise.

Went to Falaise to visit chateau of William the Conqueror, arrived at 1:00 pm so decided to look for somewhere to eat. After looking on Google selected Le Jardin. Pleased with the choice, both food and service were good. As it was a week day lunchtime not overly busy or nosy. Would eat there again.

Very good lunch menu and very friendly staff, speaking French and English. The food was quickly served and very fresh. Finally a bar that didn't serve the boring Leffe beer but French Fischer beer as well as locally brewed beer. Don't stick at the tourist trap on the main square but walk further towards Eglise Saint Gervais.

Absolutely amazing place, super welcoming staff, fast and caring service. Definitely not a tourist place they were so lovey! The place was full but made us a table in 1 minute.

We arrived at 5:30pm on a Tuesday evening for supper. Saw the good reviews on Google and decided to go there. Arrived and was immediately told it’s too late to get food….at at restaurant. Restaurant says it closes 8:30pm. Would love to have given you a better review but was unable to do so as we did not get to eat there.

A popular restaurant with a nice atmosphere. My wife and I each ordered the croque monsieur and both were burnt black at the bottom and took a lot of scraping to be edible.
