Herby-K's is a long-standing family-run bar in Shreveport, Louisiana, known for its delicious seafood dishes such as fried shrimp, po' boys, gumbo, and the famous Shrimp Buster sandwich that has been a menu staple for over 60 years. The restaurant exudes Louisiana charm with its vibrant decor adorned with metal signs, steins, beer cans, and beads.
Food was excellent! Good sized portions, you definitely get your money's worth. Service was the best; friendly staff, who regularly check in. Small place, but I love it. Overall great atmosphere, good music, and the place is kept very clean. 5 star all the way.

Had the Gumbo and a glass of wine. We had pleasant/immediate service as we arrived & had our choice of seating. The place wasn't crowded at all which was a plus. Soon after that we ordered our food. Restaurant was clean although the menus needed a wipe. The gumbo was delicious BUT I noted breaded okra (my fav) in it which a no no in my book. It tasted good & all in all I'd visit again as I wanted to eat different items but was headed to a late dinner & needed a snack prior to dinner (in a couple hrs).

I had a good friend bring me here for the first time last night. Great food, great atmosphere, lots of history. “Shrimp Buster” was amazing. I would definitely recommend it! I also tried a cup of the “Seafood Gumbo”, it was also excellent. Thanks guys!
Kris W — Google review
Something you have to experience while in Shreveport. Friendly staff, Shrimp Buster was excellent. Be sure to add the slaw and sauce to it. Bread pudding was probably the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back if I am ever in the area again.
Tolliver G — Google review
My family and I ate here based on all of the amazing reviews and let me just say, Everyone was right! This place is so amazing! The service was astounding. We felt like we were well taken care of in a homey southern feeling way. Absolutely comfort food and the best etouffee and bread pudding oh my goodness! If you like fried pickles and tartar sauce you are in for a treat! This will be the best you have ever had!
Amanda G — Google review
Service was slightly slack. The gumbo was not as good as I remembered, but i should have ordered something different. The fried pickles were salty but good. The onion rings were good but I have had better. Great beer selection!
Elizabeth O — Google review
Stopped in based off friends recommendations. Based off all the hype I had to try the Shrimp Buster and onion rings. Onion rings were great, fresh and just the right amount of batter, not too much. Shrimp Buster was good, just didn't wow me the way I thought it would. The bread pudding was awesome! Would like to stop back in and try a few other things that caught my eye on menu. Staff was great!

Cajun restaurant
Marilynn's Place is a lively Cajun-Creole eatery located in the Broadmoor neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. It offers classic options such as po' boy sandwiches and housemade beignets. The restaurant hosts a wild Sunday brunch from 10 am to 2 pm, featuring creative specials and bottomless drink options.
We kicked off my dad’s vacation with a visit to Marilynn’s Place, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. This place captures the heart and soul of Louisiana cuisine. Soffia loved her kids’ shrimp platter—crispy, fresh, and perfectly portioned. Jake’s chicken jambalaya was bold and flavorful, packed with just the right amount of spice. Sam devoured the red beans & rice, a true Southern comfort classic. My dad went straight for the seafood gumbo, which was rich, hearty, and loaded with flavor. As for me, the crawfish étouffée was absolutely incredible—creamy, savory, and full of that authentic Louisiana taste. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a spot that serves real Louisiana flavor with heart, Marilynn’s Place is it. We’ll definitely be back!

The food and vibes at Marilynn’s Place are amazing. I highly recommend going on Wing Wednesday. I had the honey Cajun wings and pepper jack Mac and cheese special. When I say it was GOOD, good, I mean it. This place feels like going over your favorite cousin’s house, the one that can COOK and makes you feel right at home. I also recommend the beignets and coffee!
Seaira C — Google review
Exactly what I was looking for in Cajun food. I arrived during Sunday brunch and ordered the fried catfish and cheese grits and also added a bowl of seafood gumbo. They treat you like family here and there is indoor or outdoor seating available. I will put this on my list of places to revisit when I am passing through town. 5 stars!!!
Jerret — Google review
When we originally showed up, it was only breakfast food being served. We politely declined and told them that we would come back. Of course they were thinking we wouldn’t come back, but we came back for lunch. We ordered fried catfish platter and I got a half shrimp Poboy and the other half seafood gumbo they were still waiting on the rice for the gumbo so they asked me did I want to get a different type of rice? I told them no I would wait and since it was such a long wait time they not only brought us been gays, but also gave us a gift card for the long of the weight The atmosphere the environment. Amazing they make you feel so down to earth and at home. We will definitely be back

An Authentic Taste of Cajun Country in Shreveport! As a proud Lafayette native, I can tell you I know a thing or two about real Cajun food. For the past 11 years, I've stuck to cooking at home because I couldn't find a place that did it right in these parts. That all changed when I finally stopped at Marilyn's Place. Don't let this little hidden gem fool you; you could drive by it a dozen times without realizing what a treasure it is. But trust me, it is absolutely worth checking out. If you're craving genuine Cajun cooking, this is the closest you'll get without me inviting you over for a home-cooked meal—or making the drive down to Acadiana!
Richard D — Google review
Since we wanted to try so many things on the menu we decided to order 2 combos so we each could choose 2 different meals. We tried the Curried Fried Catfish, Fried Shrimp Remoulade Poboy, Crawfish E'touffee, Seafood Gumbo, Bread Pudding, and Beignets. Everything was delicious. Our favorite was the Curried Fried Catfish and the Gumbo. The Gambinos French Bread used to make the Poboy was soft and fresh. The portions were good size, we had leftovers and made sure to get to go boxes so we could take with us to enjoy the rest later. Another thing that makes this restaurant a 5 star experience is the staff!! So many restaurants nowadays lack in customer service but not this one. The team members at this restaurant go above and beyond and you feel like they genuinely want to help you. They chat with you like you're old friends. The owner, chef/manager, and Elise (host) were absolutely wonderful. I'm posting pictures with this review, sorry some pictures were taken after we started eating. 😋

Ok, my favorite cajun in Shreveport!I went with the "pick 2" for options. The etoufee didn't have the spice that was at gumbo 2 geaux BUT overall had way better consistency, meat, structure than the other place, I just added a little hot sauce.. delicious. The jambalaya was a little "thicker" than I make it but it was fantastic! Something I could eat every day. Nice staff, cool little drink/ cocktail/beer bar inside. If you haven't had the Reasonably Corrupt, the dark beer hits on all cylinders and goes great with the jambalaya!

Wanted some authentic Louisiana style food so where did we find ourselves? At Marilynn’s Place! A beautiful home my girl Marilynn has built for her loving fans and customers. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy 8’ that was INCREDIBLE to say the least… but I won’t say the least. I’ll say the most. The remoulade sauce was amazing and really gave the sandwich the kick that satisFRIED my cravings. And the pickles on the sandwich were chefs kiss. The sandwich was HUGE and I didn’t know if I could finish it because the portion was great but the crispiness of the shrimp and the balance of sauce was so beautifully delivered that I found myself taking many more bites than I probably should’ve. The only bothersome thing was a lot of flies around the establishment. We were inside and because of the flash floods that were happening outside the garage door was closed but the flies were swarming. Didn’t stop me from chowing down tbh. But lastly, if you could visit Marilynn’s Place and order only one item it BETTER BE THE beignets. I’ve literally never had a better beignet in my life (this was the second one I tasted so standards are high). One bite of a Marilynn’s Place beignet and it changed my life. I saw my future shining so brightly after one bite into this amazing Louisiana delicacy. Boy was it bright! Also I started talking in a southern accent because Y’ALL this beignet CHANGED ME! Also the staff was wonderful. Check this place out!

Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Ki' Mexico is a trendy, family-owned cantina in Shreveport's Highlands district. Founded by two Mexican brothers, this laid-back eatery offers specialty tacos, flan, and margaritas. The restaurant started with their mom selling her salsas at local farmer's markets and has since expanded to a bustling brick-and-mortar location. Ki' Mexico has gained a devoted following over the years by introducing new dishes and drinks, including plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.
The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. My salmon tostada was so freaking good. Everything tasted super fresh. I highly recommend the hibiscus tea. The outdoor seating was nice and decorated with plants.

Today was my first time visiting this restaurant and I would highly recommend. I ordered the Poblano and Pastor Al Granor taco. They were both delicious! I also ordered the guacamole with chips and salsa for an appetizer. I ordered the Banana Flan for dessert and that was also delicious as well. Our waiter was also very kind and knowledgeable in regards to the menu. I forgot his name, but he was a tall caucasian guy. All in all I would recommend this restaurant. 10 out of 10!
Brittany A — Google review
I recently visited Ki’ Mexico, and while the wait to be seated wasn’t too long, the overall experience was disappointing. From the start, the service fell short. Our waiter wasn’t attentive and didn’t seem interested in providing good customer care. I asked for a small thing of butter to dip tortillas in, and he flat-out refused, saying they couldn’t do that. I then ordered the mushroom quesadilla and asked if steak could be added to it. Instead of even checking with the kitchen or manager, the waiter told me that I wasn’t allowed to add to the meal because “their food is awesome the way it is served.” I asked if he could at least ask, and he still refused. That level of unwillingness to help really set the tone for the evening. On top of that, he never once checked if we needed refills on our drinks, which is basic service. The menu itself is very small, and honestly, there aren’t a lot of options to choose from. We ordered an appetizer, but it didn’t arrive until after we had already finished our main meals, making it pointless at that stage. The food also took quite a while to reach the table, and when it finally came, the portions weren’t very large, so the wait didn’t feel justified. Another negative was the cleanliness. Our table was sticky when we sat down, likely from a spilled drink left from the customers before us. That should have been wiped down properly before seating new guests. As for the food, the mushroom quesadilla itself wasn’t very good, though the other dishes we tried were just okay. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. Given the lackluster service, the limited menu, slow timing, and overall experience, I can only give Ki’ Mexico 2 stars.
Steven F — Google review
Hands down the BEST tacos I have EVER had! Flavor that will knock you out of your chair, trust the menu, and no substitutions. Salsas are full of flavor and spice 💯
Devon L — Google review
The food was phenomenal. The service was lacking. This is not a place I'd go if I were in a hurry. I order tortillas W/ butter at every Mexican restaurant I ever go to - To be told I couldn't have butter, that it was "only for the cooks" made ZERO sense to me .. despite asking to speak to someone 3 times - no manager ever came by to address our concerns .. the Chip and Salsa "flight" appetizer ( Chips /Salsa are not complimentary- there is an $8 bottle of salsa available for purchase) ARRIVED AFTER we were ¾ through eating our tacos. Pointless. The ELOTE' is probably the best I've ever had - EITHER SIDE of the border. The hongo quesadilla was particularly tasty - my only disappointment was that it wasn't huite la coche .. I don't want to name our server by name in case it was just an off day for him - but I was not impressed with his service, or lack thereof - luckily there was a server there who stepped up, helped us out tremendously, and is probably the deciding factor as to whether we return. If you're audacious enough to put NO SUBSTITUTIONS - OUR FOOD IS EXCELLENT AS IT IS on your menus - you'd better come correct ... I don't particularly care for that level of arrogance and lack of desire to please- which was made clear by our server ... had I been dining by myself, I'd have left before ordering ... Truly glad I didn't- only because the food is, indeed, top notch. So if bougie and snooty suits you - or you can tolerate it - THE FOOD is ALMOST worth it.
Frank J — Google review
Great food, great service, great atmosphere and a wonderful outside patio with air conditioning outside! They also have happy hour from 4p-7p. Very creative food and craft cocktails.
Kyrston B — Google review
Over-priced for average flavor. Tried the enchilada with chicken special (not our first choice we came for Al Pastor tacos but they ran out with plenty of hours left til closing), problano sandwich (I think it's called), quac dip, 4 salsas, quesadillas and a side of shredded chicken- since the kids didn't enjoy the quesadillas ($10 for about a cup of average flavor shredded chicken). The quesadillas tasted like sandwich meat. The guacamole was bland and seemed like it just looked good with pumpkin seeds (I think they were pumpkin seeds). The waitress was okay but didnt check in with us enough for refills. They did have a live music session which was a nice atmosphere. But that overall experience doesn't measure up to the over $80 price tag when the chips, salsa and guacamole were all complimentary. And if they were not complimentary then that's an even worse prospect.
Jershrel — Google review
I had a wonderful time visiting this place. They have outdoor seating which I greatly enjoyed. The service was amazing and very polite. The food was to die for. Very authentic and beautifully place. Would highly recommend if you haven't been.

New American restaurant
Restaurant
Mabry House is a fine dining restaurant located in a historic Victorian house on Irving Place. The menu features seasonal, New American dishes with a large wine list. The restaurant is popular for its candlelit atmosphere and romantic setting.
Dining at The Mabry House is like stepping into another era—an elegant Victorian home filled with charm, warmth, and a quiet kind of luxury. The atmosphere is as carefully curated as the menu, offering a unique blend of comfort and sophistication. The food? Simply exceptional. Each course was beautifully presented and full of flavor, reflecting both creativity and respect for quality ingredients. But what truly elevated the entire experience—and what I’ll remember long after the final bite—was the service. Our waiter Daniel wasn’t just attentive and knowledgeable; he was the heartbeat of the evening. Warm, genuine, and effortlessly professional, he brought a personal touch that made us feel not like customers, but honored guests. In every sense, he is the face of The Mabry House. His presence alone is reason enough to return. This place doesn’t just serve food—it creates moments. And thanks to him, ours was unforgettable.

This hidden gem of a house restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home, while the eclectic, internationally inspired menu offers a delightful culinary adventure. Each dish is a delicious masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Some of the BEST good in Shreveport!! The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff that elevate the dining experience. Whether for a casual meal or a special occasion, this place is truly exceptional.

It is the perfect place for a celebration. We take our 2 brothers who live in Shreveport there for special occasions. The food is always interesting and delicious...like quail and seafood. Their menu varies over time and is always a special treat. The service is very warm and welcoming...the atmosphere in an old home is like a celebration at home. I highly recommend Mabry House.

The food was very memorable. Crawfish Cheesecake appetizer is a must try. The Ribeye Chimichurri & Crab Cake were excellent. The historical house converted into a restaurant is really neat to dine in. Plenty of space and ice cold A/C. The staff are really friendly and our server Avalon explained everything in detail. She definitely added value to our dining experience. Overall happy with all aspects of The Mabry, and will return.

The Mabry House got that classic fine-dining charm refined, elegant, and full of flavor that speaks for itself. The staff carries the type of professionalism that makes you feel valued the moment you walk in. The food’s well-balanced, and the atmosphere keeps it warm and sophisticated. You can tell it’s built on legacy and love for the craft. Louie K’s Up seal of respect right here.🔥👑

The food was great. It took an hour just to get our appetizer. We were there over 2 hours. They automatically added gratuity to our table of 6, which they only hurt themselves when they did it. Service was not a 5 star. I just felt like the waiter could have been more attentive. We ordered one of the specials, which was $65. The prices were what I was expecting. They did nothing special for the birthdays we were celebrating. The steak was really good and so tender with a crisp to the outside. I would go back.

Whether you're planning a romantic date night or a lively gathering with friends, Bella Fresca caters to all dining experiences. My recent visit to Bella Fresca was nothing short of exceptional. The service was impeccable, with the staff attentive and friendly throughout the evening. We started with a couple of appetizers, and they set the tone for the meal. The flatbread was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious. For the entrée, I had the pork chop with peaches, which was a standout dish. The combination of tender, juicy pork with the sweetness of the peaches was both unique and satisfying. To top off the evening, I indulged in the peanut butter pie for dessert, and it was divine. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced—it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Bella Fresca is a must-visit for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Stopped by to for the new Happy Hour. There is not much parking and I honestly drove past it twice. Glad I found this hidden gem. Very nice environment. Small establishment but worth trying. The bartenders/servers were friendly. My ranch water was perfectly made. I'd never had brussel sprouts, but these were 10/10. The hamburgers sliders were full of flavor.

This was our first time @ Bella Fresca, and I must say we were not disappointed. The food & atmosphere were amazing. Our server, Sasha, was knowledgeable and had a great personality. My husband and I were celebrating our 8th anniversary, and this was the perfect spot for that.

Went here after looking for a place to host my wife's 50th birthday 🎂. They were very accommodating from start to finish. The staff was very professional and very friendly, and please do not let the building size fool you. The food was INCREDIBLE! Not only the taste of the food but the presentation of each plate had our guests wanting to sample one another's plate. It was a bit loud, but that's because it was a packed house. This place is CLEARLY one of the best kept secrets of Shreveport and my wife and I will be returning for date night. Again I thank you for making her birthday dinner a VERY memorable night. Mongo.

It was a great first impression until our server wasn’t Sasha. He had a great personality. The pasta was undercooked and server we had didn’t even tell us the specials or anything. But again next time we go if we do, we are gonna ask for Sasha! Super friendly and upbeat and very personable

If you are looking for a fun, lively atmosphere in which to enjoy some delicious French-inspired southern cuisine, Fat Calf Brasserie is the perfect place. With live music and an ever-changing menu, this restaurant has something for everyone.
First visit last night. Amazing cocktails, amazing focaccia appetizer, and amazing entrees. I had the Ember Carrots (an appetizer) and the Roasted Tomato Soup (a special), and they were {{chef's kiss}}. The Pecan Custard Tart was good but would be better served warm. We sat inside at the bar and really appreciated the friendly, responsive professionalism of the bartenders Connor and Cat (hope I spelled those correctly). All the staff were friendly and professional, attentive and responsive. The building and its available dining space are small. This contributes positively to the cozy ambiance, but it is also why one MUST make a reservation. This is not the kind of place that can take walk-ins. There's not enough convenient parking. Street parking is available but not exactly friendly. I recognize that's limitation of the property and the area so it's not really a criticism - more an observation. While this is not an issue for me, it is worth noting that the restaurant is not super accessible-friendly. Limited convenient parking, narrow walking spaces within the building itself, not-exactly-convenient toilet access if you choose to sit on the outside patio - not exactly wheelchair or mobility-aid friendly. That critique notwithstanding, our experience otherwise was super positive. We plan to return, and we look forward to our next visit!

Very good! In from Houston on business. My server Andrew was fantastic. The chicken breast was delicious and the truffle fries. I’d give the brussels 3/5, the lemon tart was sooo yummy! It’s hard to find nice restaurants in the Shreveport area, so this was a treat. This is where I will come from now on.

Very unique and interesting place. Several interesting food choices. Lots of selection. The whole place was very clean, even the bathroom. The inside was a bit noisy for us, but the patio outdoor seating was great. Our waiter seemed to be kind of new, but was super friendly and helpful.

The staff was so kind and attentive. We were seated in the mosaic room, which was much better for carrying conversation than many of their other tables. The food was all amazing! We will absolutely be return customers. Fat Calf was such a great restaurant at which to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.

I was in town for work and stumbled upon this hidden gem on Google—what a find! Everything is locally sourced and truly farm-to-table, which was evident in every bite and sip. Kat and the other bartender (whose name unfortunately escapes me) were exceptional—welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the story behind their ingredients. The food was outstanding, the service top-notch, and the atmosphere incredibly cool. Trust me, this is a spot you don’t want to miss—you’ll thank me later 😉

Went with a group of friends. Everything we ordered was very good. Nice wine and beer selection. Our waiter Max was excellent, incredibly knowledgeable with regards to many menu questions and there were a lot, my friends can be challenging to say the least. He handled it with extreme patience and a smile. Give the man a raise! You won't be disappointed eating here.

We had a lovely dinner at this place. It’s definitely a special occasion restaurant. Excellent wine selection and the food was truly delicious. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The wait time for the food was really really long, but we did not mind this as we were with friends having a wonderful visit. If you’re hungry and don’t have time to spare I’d say go somewhere else. If you want to sit and drink wine and chat up your friends, excellent choice.

We were a group of 6, sat outside on the patio. We ordered cocktails and enjoyed some appetizers (moules & frites, Brussels sprouts, peppers), tried several entrees (burgers, quail, steak frites), and ordered all four dessert options on the menu. Food and service was great, our server (Joe) took care of our table AND trained newer staff. She rocks! It’s a small restaurant so call a day ahead to reserve if you want early dinner seating inside for a group of 4+. I’ll be back at this restaurant next trip to Shreveport.

Crawdaddy's Kitchen is a family-owned restaurant in West Shreveport, known for its delicious Cajun seafood dishes and comfortable, homely atmosphere. Managed by Louis Cascio, a former LSU Tiger star linebacker, the restaurant offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes such as Crawfish Fettuccine Alfredo, Fried Boudin Balls, and Traditional Chef Salad.
New owners have taken an already great restaurant to a higher level. Same friendly wait staff - food is also better than ever. We enjoyed different entrees with mix of boiled and fried seafood. Delicious!! Service was excellent…attentive but not overbearing. If you haven’t been to Crawdaddy’s - it’s a must visit to get an authentic taste of Louisiana!

On a cross-country road trip and made a stop in Shreveport, looked up the best place to eat and Crawdaddy’s did not disappoint. Flavorful, juicy boiled shrimp and they were able to accommodate lactose intolerance/dairy free. I am also gluten free and I was okay. Honestly, best shrimp I’ve had in a long long time. My partner got the shrimp & grits and loved it. Please go if you’re in the area!
Jezzika C — Google review
Based on my personal experience, I give this spot a solid 4 stars. I had the Boil Sampler, raw oysters, and fries. The oysters were fresh, the fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the overall vibe was enjoyable. The Boil Sampler was good, but I do wish it had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. Still, everything was tasty, and I’d definitely come back to try more. Worth a visit if you’re into seafood!

In need of a new favorite Cajun restaurant, we started a search. One of our first locations to try sounded very promising. Crawdaddy's Kitchen offers all of our favorites and had sampler platters that gave us a good selection. We had the Acadiana seafood platter and the Cajun sampler platter. With these, we got to try their chicken and andouole gumbo, crawfish etouffee, red beans and rice, crayfish, shrimp, catfish and hush puppies. This provided a wonderful variety of their delicious food. This made them a potential favorite and we hope to return and try more of their menu. Our server was Meka, C. - Great experience and answered all of our questions.

Very good catfish and shrimp. Stopped in for dinner, by myself, on a business trip. Food was great, as was the service. Darius was the Waiter; he was friendly, courteous, professional, and checked back frequently but not too frequently. He suggested the pickled tomatoes (green tomato pieces pickled in a tangy, little bit sweet, tiny bit spicy brine.

My husband and I were passing through and googled best restaurants in Shreveport and this place was listed number one, and now we know why! Ralph & Kacoo's Seafood is a longstanding Cajun seafood restaurant in Louisiana that has been praised for its great food and friendly service. The eatery has several locations throughout the state, as well as a presence on the Gulf Coast. Food items include popular Cajun staples such as drums, oysters, catfish and shrimp. Alcohol is served and diners can enjoy table service or takeout.
A nice restaurant to bring your friends & family to. Everytime I've been here, our food comes out fast. The service is friendly & patient. The food tastes great, we usually get the shrimp trawl. The firecracker shrimp is a great appetizer to start with. The rolls are delicious! They have several great dishes to choose from, can't wait to try something different!

Came on a recommendation from the hotel we are staying at. We tried several dishes, red beans and rice, blackened chicken, shrimp and grits, and seafood gumbo. Everything was fantastic. I especially liked the red beans and rice. So much flavor. Food came out fast. The staff was great, very friendly!

We were pleased with the service we received at the restaurant. The greeter found a table for us that was quiet and not too close to other customers. The thin catfish, seasoned fries & coleslaw I ordered was delicious. My friend raved about the gumbo. Our server was very attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome. We had a great experience at Ralph & Kacoo's. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Ate here because it was highly recommended. Was NOT busy. Our half of restaraunt only had 3 tables seated. No flavor (or salt) on breaded fried foods. Menu said platter came with crab cake but it was a stuff crab shell instead. The crab cake they brought us was 99% stuffing. Would NOT recommend at all. Will say the bread was amazing.

The stuffed shrimp are delicious. The fish is okay, the oysters are light and fried crispy and the stuffed crab is delicious. This visit was better than my last visit. Everything was hot and fresh. The boudain balls are good. The complimentary rolls are good!!!

If I could give this place a double rating I would, represent Cajun food spot on. The Atmosphere and decor is wonderful, the waiter was amazing and attentive, but the food was just other world. I really loved the, blacked gator, the crawfish ettouffe, and the blacked catfish OH WAIT that was my entire meal. What a wonderful romantic time with my wife.

The Blind Tiger is a laid-back eatery in Shreveport that offers a cozy and casual dining experience with its saloon-like ambiance and nostalgic neon signs. It's the perfect spot for fans of Cajun and Creole cuisine, offering delicious blackened seafood and other specialties. The restaurant's unpretentious surroundings make it an ideal place to enjoy favorites like the Cajun Sampler, especially if you're dining with company.
We went for lunch and were seared promptly. I ordered the Cajun sampler and my partner had the blackened chicken salad and gumbo! We loved the food, it had some heat and was very salty, and flavorful. The local beer in a sweaty chilled glass was perfect on a hot and sticky summer day.
Maria S — Google review
We stopped by The Blind Tiger in Shreveport based on a friend’s recommendation. It’s a lively local spot with a good atmosphere and a well-stocked bar. I ordered the blackened shrimp with jambalaya rice—unfortunately, the shrimp was overcooked, but the rice had good flavor and texture. I also tried a cup of the seafood gumbo, which was the standout dish—rich, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The staff was friendly and attentive, though the food took longer than expected to arrive, especially considering our group was small. Overall, it was a mixed experience. Not bad, but not quite enough to make me want to return.
Kevin S — Google review
We rolled into The Blind Tiger for a late lunch, and left totally blown away — not just by the food, but the entire experience. Every single thing we ordered was packed with flavor and made with real love. It’s the kind of meal you think about long after it’s over. We started with the fried mushrooms, which were perfectly crispy and totally addictive — the kind of appetizer that disappears fast. Then came a spread that seriously delivered: red beans and rice that tasted like home cooking at its finest, hearty and well-seasoned; cornbread that was golden, moist, and just sweet enough; crispy potato wedges that were dangerously good; and crispy, flaky catfish that melted in your mouth. We also tried two killer sandwiches — the Blind Tiger Burger (a beast in the best way — juicy, bold, unforgettable) and the French Chicken Sandwich, which somehow managed to be both indulgent and refined. Honestly, every bite was amazing. The flavors, the portions, the quality — top notch across the board. We loved it so much we even walked out with a Blind Tiger t-shirt to remember the meal. If you’re anywhere near, don’t miss this place. Come hungry — and maybe leave with a souvenir too.

What amazing food. Everyone even the other guests were so friendly. We talked to some regulars and along with the staff recommended some great options for food. It was my favorite experience in Shreveport. We were down for graduation and it was just amazing.
Jonathan K — Google review
Unique old city feel, looks to maybe be original from when it was built. Service was quick and was checked on often. Food was average. Fried fish was cooked correct. Crawfish etouffee had a bitter taste. Red beans were over salted. Salad was good, the ranch dressing was the highlight.
Corey T — Google review
The business is historic and very authentic. The food was absolutely top notch and the wait staff and bartender were very friendly. Despite getting a little rushed, they made me and my coworkers feel like regulars. Try the Cajun Sampler. You won't regret it.

I went to The Blind Tiger on a whim while passing through Shreveport. I had the shrimp sampler which served shrimp four ways: deep fried, blackened, voodoo style, and etoufee. It was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ended up making friends with other patrons in the bar area. I will definitely return to The Blind Tiger when I get back to town.
Scott — Google review
I honestly have no clue how to start this. My wife and I have been here plenty of times before, and the food is usually okay. It was never great but okay enough to stop by if we found ourselves hungry near downtown Shreveport. This time though we got served a toe sized, uncooked, RAW, hairy, flabby, chunk of pork belly in our Red Beans and Rice. Now... pork belly CAN be added to this dish.... but never uncooked, hairy and raw. It was flippen disgusting. This was all after we returned our salad because the lettuce was wilted and the chef came out to apologize about the salad. He even agreed that it was wilted and not up to standard. However the chef did not come out to apologize about the slab of uncooked, hairy pork skin. After the disgusting experience we had with the hairy chunk of raw pork meat; we left. Absolutely gross.

We went Greek tonight!! We had a wonderful experience at Athenas. Service was on point. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Drink glasses were never empty. The food was amazing!! We had the Athenas Special Plate for Two, and man was there alot. Definitely enough food for two people!! The salad was so fresh and delicious. The appetizer plate was wonderful. The main entrée plate was out of this world!! If you have never stopped in, give them a try!! We will definitely be planning a return trip!!

We took my mother here for her birthday. This place is hands down the best in Shreveport/Bossier. Flakey Spinach pies. Savory fried cheese. Fresh creamy hummus with hot pita bread The best Falafel I have ever eaten. The Baklava was dripping with honey. So good!

We dined in around 4:30pm. We were the only ones at the time. We ordered the Athena sampler for appetizer. It was delicious. Falafel and kibby were seasoned very well!! Hummus and other dips were great. We had the salads before our meal and the dressing was excellent. For main course, we ordered the gyro/chicken shwarma combination and the steak kabob. The chicken shwarma is on the dry side and needs some more flavor. The gyro was excellent with lots of flavor. Steak kabobs were cooked to a perfect medium and seasoned well. The rice was nice and moist. Overall a great meal and we will be back.

This was my first time to Athena, which came highly recommended due to the food, service, and bonus hookah lounge in the back. In Shreveport for a birthday, and the food did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the steady stream of to-go orders coming in. The highlights were fried cheese, salad, and lamb as well as the hummus. Everything was delicious and as an added bonus the hookah lounge was enjoyed- especially being my first time. The staff were incredible hosts and will answer any questions you may have with patience and politeness. I will be back!

DO NOT EAT HERE! DISRESPECTFUL & RUDE OWNER!!! I normally eat Athena once a week & love it but today was very unpleasant. They forgot my salad dressing and the lentil soup was watery/smelled sour. I discussed my concerns with the hostess and she went to the back to advise I requested a refund. The son told her I couldn’t get a refund because I already left the restaurant with order. 1. An item was missing from my order and the soup smelled sour & was VERY watery. The son came from the back & asked did I taste the soup. I advised I’m not tasting ANYTHING that smells sour or watery. He said his dad is the OWNER and he made it fresh this morning. I let him know I order from here once a week & it’s normally thicker. I could see onions and carrot's in the soup. Their Lentil soup doesn’t look like that. I became upset and requested my refund because I refused to eat the soup & I had to burn gas coming back to get dressing. It was simply inconvenient. 2. The hostess goes back to the owner & tells him my order total and he comes walking from the back fast, pulls $10 out of his pocket & tells me to never come back. I immediately told him trust me….i won’t. The customer service is horrible. He then tells me to shut up and we got into an arguing match in the middle of the restaurant!!!! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Telling me to shut up when you messed up my order and the food quality is poor. Mind you….i was the only person there ordering…it was a literal ghost town. Now I know why it was empty! It’s not my fault that you don’t have any business so you refused to give me a refund! Bad energy. Horrible customer service. Disrespectful & Rude owner. I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!

This place was great! Five stars all around. I've eaten steaks all over the world and this is easily one of my favorites. I had the 10 oz filet mignon, skillet seared with the salt and pepper seasoning. Absolutely outstanding. The crawfish cornbread is also recommended. The crawfish sauce was killer and I dipped the steak in the leftovers. 🤌🏼 Our server, Madison, was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. The asparagus... Well, it's asparagus. The shrimp tasted like quality shrimp, but nothing special. Go for the steak! 🥩 An overall excellent dining experience.

We have stayed at the Horseshoe many times. First time trying Jack Binion's Steakhouse. Absolutely loved it!! Keep in mind, you will be spending money. It was definitely worth the price!! My fiancée and I split everything we ordered and we're still full when we left. The service was wonderful. Drinks were never empty. The bread and three different kinds of butter were a nice starter. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection!! It had a wonderful flavor and was so tender. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy and delicious!! The grilled asparagus was fresh and crisp. We will eat here again!!

Had the pleasure of eating at Jack Binions inside the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City. Wonderful service, tasty food, big portions, hefty price tag. The shrimp cocktail, crabmeat au gratin, raspberry garden salad, wedge salad, and steak were all fantastic. And the bourbon menu was on point! However, they were out of a couple things I requested that were on the menu. Considering that the drink menu is on an iPad, it should be updated to reflect what’s in and out of stock, but it’s not. One thing I liked were the menus are lit from behind so you can see them in the dimly lit restaurant. Great feature. Excited for my next trip back in a year and would definitely eat here again.
Kat — Google review
I have eaten at top rated steakhouses throughout the U.S. and Jack Binion’s ranks in the top three for preparation, service, atmosphere and taste. I have never given 5 stars to any restaurant, but they have earned it. I’ve eaten here three times in the last three weeks and the consistency is on point. My filet is perfectly seared on both sides and cooked to a perfect temperature, definitely an exemplary prime steak. The dollop of mashed potatoes and the carrots are very tasty, but the sautéed mushrooms are impeccable, and a must try. Edgar has been my server and I will continue to ask for him. Excellent service, great conversation and he knows the menu well, I think I’ve made a new friend with him. Could it be considered pricey? Yes indeed, but you are paying for top tier service, atmosphere and food.

First time, service and atmosphere was great. Food was really good, but the filet mignon was cooked med well and not med rare, but good flavor. Lobster Mac was ok, little runny and light on the lobster, the Gouda grits were great. Hibiscus margarita well done and the Peanut butter mousse was phenomenal. Will be back to try other dishes.

Everything was delicious. But I noticed that when I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna It was supposed to come with cucumber salad and rice crackers. But it came out with just sliced cucumber salad and no rice crackers. I really didn’t think about it at the time cause I was enjoying everything so much. But now I think about it would have been great with the rice crackers
Cool A — Google review
The waiter was perfect and amazing including the service and that’s why I’m giving 3 stars for the service only and that only. My drink stayed filled at all times and I had no empty or done plates left on the table. But the food was not good at all. The crab cake was way too soft but it was okay just wish it was cooked a little longer. The lobster bisque had no flavor whatsoever I had to add salt and pepper 3 different times but still couldn’t figure out what was missing. Didn’t finish it. The steak 18 oz prime ribeye was disgusting I could not stand to eat another bite after the first one. It tasted like the kind they give you at the hospital. The potatoes had no flavor so I poured $7 garlic butter all over it. The asparagus was good I did like that. I was scared to try dessert so we didn’t get it.
Mercedes T — Google review
The food was very good but menial for my husband's meal. He had a steak with what looked like a tablespoon of mashed potatoes as the side, 1 carrot split in half and a piece of onion. I had bacon wrapped pork loin (3 pieces) which was good and a full side of mashed sweet potatoes. The crab bisque was excellent with real corn (off the cob) and lump crab meat in it. I enjoyed the flavored butter that came with the bread even though the bread edges were too hard for me. The view from our booth was also great. Two servers came to our table and both provided excellent service.

Absolutely the best food in town. Start your journey with homemade bread and marinated crab claws. We chose a ribeye steak with Joe sauce. Divine perfection. Their steak is so tender. As our side we chose a twice baked potato and they offer a sour cream sauce that compliments the potato. They have so many items to choose from. We just found what we like. They have steaks, Italian, appetizers, desserts, and a bar for those who like to partake. Earnest is always consistent with their food. Everytime we dine here its exactly the same as before. His years of experience were evident. Had the seafood gumbo as an appetizer had the Ernest red snapper as main dish. It was some of the best snapper I’ve ever had! I wish I knew the bartender’s name but sadly, I forgot. Big gentlemen, with glasses and white hair and definitely a down south New Orleans drawl. Very friendly and very good at his job. They had an older gentleman, singing lounge music in the back. Anything from old blues to old country to old rock. It definitely had an old-time lounge vibe with the red lights and music. The food was excellent!

We had a very nice dinner with visiting friends from Kansas City. They enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food was pricey but the portions were large.

Boy, I was not sure about this restaurant when my wife and I walked in and sat down. We ordered the 10 oz Ernestos Petite Club. Wow, the steak was perfectly cooked, and it was delicious 😋 . We took home another meal practically. This was the largest 10 oz steak I've ever seen! My only complaint would be turn down the air conditioner it was very 🥶! Made it hard to really sit and enjoy the meal. Otherwise, this off the beaten path is well worth the trip! We will come back next time we're in Shreveport.

Our party was 'ernestly' disappointed. We found the service lacking as we didn't even get food menus until 30 minutes after being seated. When paying $55 for an entree plus a $15 upcharge for literally any other side than a plain baked potato, I would expect the quality and preparation of entrees to be exemplary, but they were not. The snapper was very over salted and I am someone who typically likes a good bit of salt. I was also shocked that the shrimp appetizers ordered totaling just 14 pieces cost over a hundred dollars... For 14 fried shrimp... Over $7 a piece. We had plenty of time to look at the historical decor of the dining area which was nice and on arrival had us excited thinking we would receive an outstanding experience, but the food, service, and price was in no way up to par. So, the hope and optimism we had when being seated steadily shifted to disappointment and regret through our meal. Perhaps it was because we didn't go on a weekend so the 'A' team wasn't working, but in any case the experience was so far off base we will not be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone in town. Our next night in town we got a much higher quality meal for almost half of what we paid here.

I grew up in Shreveport and never ate there until I moved away for many years. Always thought it was too expensive. Anyway, it wasnt as expensive as I thought. Great service and awesome food, but I will say, red lights are a bit too low. Also wonderful music on the club side on a Friday night.

The diner offers a family-friendly atmosphere with murals adorning the walls. Guests praise the friendly service and quick food delivery, highlighting the delicious biscuits as a must-try.
I didn’t think they made homemade food …at a fast food pace. Strawns has it down packed . the double bacon burger is good if y’all on the run or even better to sit because of the great atmosphere . Also , the fries are so good and with good reason, the oil they use is strictly for fries so the goodness is in keeping the frying grease fresh and strictly for fries . Tasted like home cut fries , good spot to chow down . Breakfast menu kept hearty and simple. Remember Don’t forget to check out the pie case on the way out , that’s also good for grabbing go strawberry cold cake! Too good iyktyk… if you know then you know.

It took me a while to try this place but after several people recommended it to me I finally decided to go here. I do not regret it! OMG great food at an affordable price with the friendliest service. I loved my server she was so nice and great at her job. Whole experience lasted around 30 minutes and you can tell by the amount of food that it could have taken much longer. There were 3 of us and it was quickest service we have had in forever! Literally my only complaint would be I needed jelly with my toast and I would prefer my veggies cooked into my omelette. I would come back and I would recommend it to other!

Ok....So my son asked me to eat here today. Because he had never been , I brought him after his Drs appt today. We came at lunch time so it was busy, with all the older folks coming in for the lunch special, which was a meat loaf today . And the portions they give people are worth the $11 they're charging for it. I ordered breakfast, which is what Landon wanted but then changed his mind and got a bacon cheeseburger instead. I like my eggs over medium as you can clearly see ,it wasn't what I got. But the presentation of the food when it came to the table was very greasy ,NOW ,i am not the butter police ,and I love butter ! But it drenched my plate! It shouldn't weigh down my food and be all over the plate. Then the hash browns looked as if they were prepared ahead of time, then used when ready, they were a complete "mush" on the inside of that thick layer of crunch. I eat my hash browns with sour cream ,they don't have that here so I used ketchup to try to make them better , but it didn't work ..they were the only thing left on my plate. The cleanliness of the place ! 😳 Guys come on. Every plexi that was hanging from the ceiling for social distance had nasty little handprints on them , to the point you can tell they've been there for weeks. The menus had food and grease stuck on them , everything was "greasy" feeling like the chairs and the tables The place needs to be cleaned, wiped and sanitized for sure and this is a new location. We had Dottie for our waitress and although she was nice , she kept sniffling her nose when she would talk to us. 🤔🤨Hmmm... She was complaining to another employee about another employee. Which shouldn't happen where customers can hear you I was very upset that I didn't even get to say hello to my friend Laura who works here. She was the only person I saw assisting her tables with love and laughing and carrying on with her customers. She is the heart of this place always has been and always will be. She is perfect all the way around and has been here for a long time and makes the place shine with her smile and attitude. More Laura people ,that is what you need !!! 3/10 for me on this one I feel like the interview staff ( the people who hire people) shouldn't just allow anyone to work here , they should be chosen with care. Appearance and hygiene are a key factor when hiring someone. I don't believe they were running on Red Bull and Monster if ya know what I mean !!!🤦 Also we waited for them to make peanut butter and strawberry pie !! THAT WAS WORTH THE WAIT the pies here are the only thing I can say get a 10/10 Sorry 🤷

Food was okay. They wouldn't seat our group at one table. They made us separate into smaller groups. We are from out of town, but if I lived in the area I wouldn't go back. Food was okay. They got my mom's order wrong. They did fix it for her, but we ended up being mostly done by the time she received her food.

You can't beat Strawn's. From breakfast through lunch, from pancakes, shredded or diced hash browns, eggs however you want them, biscuits and gravy, grits, to chicken fried steaks with mashed potatoes and gravy, several different vegetable sides, club sandwiches, fried chicken, hamburgers and more. And for dessert...PIE! The BEST pie around!
David S — Google review
The lady at the register is TERRIBLE. Ordered an omelet and specifically requested for them to "go easy" on the butter because they are known to make the eggs swim in it. The omelet came drenched in oil so I didn't eat it, had the server take it back and off of my ticket she was great offered me something else but I decided not to get anything. Went to the register to pay for the kids food the woman at the register asked of course how it was informed her of the mishap with the omelet she proceeded to throw her hands up roll her eyes and say "that's how we make it for everyone" so I did let her know that's fine but when a customer requests something specifically maybe do it that way or if you aren't able to accommodate that, no problem but at least say that before bringing the food out.

Monjunis Italian Cafe & Grocery is a popular Italian restaurant with multiple locations in Shreveport, offering a delightful fusion of flavors. The menu includes traditional Italian dishes like homemade pasta and wood-fired pizzas, as well as unique creations such as Cajun shrimp pasta. The inviting ambiance and attentive service make for a memorable dining experience. Visitors praise the old-school Italian decor that creates a cozy atmosphere, making them feel right at home.
My family and I love Monjunis ! They are the perfect hole in the wall spot for celebrating anything and everything. Please be patient with the staff right now, they are short staffed and they only had one chef at the time we went. The food was still really quick and really tasty, but I think we all just have to be patient right now and be respectful for small businesses they are trying to get by. Genuinely have never had bad food or a bad experience here. Their sauce is so yummy, you can purchase it there and in local stores in Shreveport. Highly recommended !

This was a very romantic experience!! From the service to the wine to the atmosphere set the tone of the evening! . Restaurant is very clean, food is truly a pleasurable experience for your palate and sides compliment the entrée. . Prices are comparable to the magnificent quality of food and portions you receive. . You are served hot, sliced bread with very smooth tasty butter while you soak up the music, atmosphere and company you are spending time with at dinner. . Hope you enjoy the photos, the food is bar far way above the rest! . So if looking for great food, pricing, clean restaurant and friendly staff, book a reservation if you are not wanting to wait.

We came here for dinner on a Monday evening shortly after opening. Personnel and service was friendly. The food 3 out of 5 stars. The soups we had were good but al of our main dishes were a bit 'off'. I can't really put my finger on it but no one of finished our dishes. The desserts the chocolate mousse cake and the Tiramisu we couldn't eat and left it on the table after a couple of bites of each dessert.

First time here. We loved it! Atmosphere was great. We had the mozzarella appetizer which was light and refreshing. For entree we had the Veal Al Lemon and the Quail dinner. The quail was fantastic. Desert the chocolate cake was amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

Savanna was an amazing waitress and made sure that I had the best vegan meal. I got the pasta primavera without the chicken, vegetable stock instead of chicken stock, and a side of tomato sauce. The head chef even came out and told me he had been vegan for 7 years and knew exactly what to make me! For dessert they don’t have any vegan options but the chef came out again to give me some special vegan chocolate! Absolutely felt like a princess here! 11/10 recommend this place for vegans and non vegans!

Dinner was good, not great, but good. The experience overall was good. It was kind of busy and the waiters seemed overtasked. We sat in a side room that was busy and got loud with all the folks talking in such a small space. The food was good but kind of underwhelming for the price. Overall, It was a good experience but I don't think we would return.

Walking into establishment already sets the mood for a relaxing atmosphere. The mood lighting as I called it set the pace for a romantic evening. Our server Sergio was very welcoming. Very attentive. Service was fast and the food was good. Portion size was enough for 2 people. Bread was brought to the table that was fresh and warm. Loved the decor. Friday & Saturday evening they have a pianist who performs. We will go back on a weekend. All around, I enjoyed Chianti’s

Kim’s Seafood & Po-Boy in Bossier City, Louisiana is a must-visit for those seeking the authentic flavors of Louisiana cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of po-boys filled with meats or seafood, with the shrimp and hot sausage varieties being particularly popular. Known for its dedication to quality and flavor, Kim’s Seafood serves up fresh seafood dishes such as boiled crawfish and shrimp etouffee that highlight the bounties of the sea.
I had a great experience here! I ordered a fully loaded shrimp po boy and it was a giant sandwich that was very delicious! I ate the whole thing but only because I was super hungry- if I would’ve ordered a side with it there’s no way I would’ve had room to eat it all. There was lots of seating available inside the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at their wine offerings Would recommend!

Don't listen to the negative comments. I had a great experience. Had a catfish. po boy and boudin balls. Both amazing. Cute café charm next time I want to try the pho!!!

There was nobody else besides us there. The white lady behind the counter was not nice. They were way stingy towards us. The atmosphere was fine, but the reception accountant tainted the whole experience. Would not recommend getting the Spring Rolls. My companion got the Alligator Po Boy which was fine, but still, wouldn't recommend. Go over to Marilynns place instead. You get what you pay for and it's a way better atmosphere.

I was visiting from out of town and was looking to enjoy some cajun spice. I didn't look too hard so that was on me for picking the wrong place for what I was looking for. I ordered boiled shrimp but didn’t expect to get just shrimp and butter, and the shrimp fried rice was okay. The shrimp was not cleaned, so I got all the grit, which I could taste with every bite. I ate some of the fried rice to try and get the taste out of my mouth. I was not satisfied with the food but we ate it. Frankly was not pleased with the amount paid for what we got. To top it off there was mold in the napkin dispenser.
Gracia D — Google review
This was our 1st place we stopped at when we moved here 10 yrs ago. I enjoy their spicy boiled shrimp, sausage, and sweet potato fries. Hubby loves the gumbo with a po-boy, and the kids enjoy the crawfish, sandwiches, and fried rice. Good portion sizes. They bring your food to your table, but there are no waiters. You refill your drinks and toss your trash with no interaction with the staff. The owner does come out to say hello and asks how everything was. The bossier location is so nice since they remodled the interior, and you can watch the game if it's on.

This is my first time coming here. The lady at the counter kind of seemed like a robot, but her service was okay. Another lady welcomed me as she knew it was my first time, and invited me to come back during their intense crawfish season. The dining area was very spacious. The timing on receiving food was quick. The shrimp was amazing, and didn't crumble in my hand or as a I ate along. Popcorn shrimp was okay, but nothing special. Was kind of disappointed in the fried rice because all there was, was shrimp, egg, and onion. No vegetables. Overall, I would return

BeauxJax Crafthouse is a vibrant spot in Bossier City's entertainment district, The East Bank Market. It offers a taste of Cajun cuisine with po' boys and gumbo alongside house cocktails. This establishment takes pride in being part of the craft beer movement, serving local and regional beers on tap. Originally starting as a food truck, it has now become a go-to place for locals and tourists looking for great food, handcrafted cocktails, and friendly service.
We were seeking to try new foods in the area and stumbled upon BeauxJax. The reviews were great online so we decided to give it a try. The food came out in a timely fashion and was pretty good. As far as appetizers, I do recommended the nachos over the deviled eggs, as we tried both. The manager was so nice and came by to speak with every table to ensure we all were taken care of with no issues and our waitress did a great job. The food was out within a timely manner and there was no wait, which is always a plus!

I came into the restaurants with some pretty picky eaters, and they are most of the food, so that is a good sign. I thought the flavors were there, portion size was good, and enjoyed the variety. I wish that there were more options for sides on the sandwiches and dishes, and I liked my sandwich but felt like I got a half filled on especially on my coleslaw. Overall I had a good experience and would be back. Good atmosphere and service. 4/5

I really enjoyed myself here. The staff were the best and had great customer service. Our waitress was helpful. It was a nice atmosphere and vibe. I had the shrimp po boy and the shrimp etouffee. I ate here two days in a row. When I ate inside it was a great amount of food and reasonable pricing. Came back the next day ordered the exact same things. It was more expensive. I asked why and they said because they charged a 3% additional charge on everything for using a card. Not happy about that because I didn’t do it the day before when I used a card but the part that pisses me off is the drastic difference in food size for the bourbon chicken and rice from the day before. They put my mac & cheese in a gigantic to go box and they put the bourbon chicken and rice in a side container and I paid the exact same price. The day before when I ate half of it in the restaurant and got it to go box it’s still filled over half of the large to go box. I feel like they gave me a quarter of what they did the day before while charging me more And just to clarify, I ordered the bowl, not the cup

Been in town for work a few times and this is my by-far favorite place to go. Drinks are the BEST. I’ve tried several. These are not teensy little cocktails that are 90% ice, they serve real-sized drinks with plenty of booze and not sugary pre-mixed crap. Food is also the best. Think of all your favorite Cajun food… they throw all that in some mac and cheese. Boudin. Andouilles Sausage. Shrimp. Crawfish. Po’boys galore. Ever-watcha-need Cajun deliciousness.

I have to say, I'm really glad I dropped in. The Crawfish Peperjax Mac "loaded" was delicious, the cheese melted on the Mac and topped off with some cajun meats was spot on. And THEN I went in for dessert, maybe the best bread pudding I've ever had! Service was great and I loved the atmosphere of the joint..a little old factory riff with plenty of sports TV. I'll be BACK!

Fantastic menu with many choices. I went with the Korean bbq and the Alabama chicken. I was delighted. One thing that helped was the special made taco tray. In the case of the chicken the soft taco softened further from the sauce. So good I might go back for dinner.

If you're downtown, this is a neat spot. They have a good bar. A lot of the food is really good (I come for the Korean BBQ tacos.) It's a craft taco place so don't expect your typical Mexican Food portions or meals; for example: the photo below is the "small cheese fries" which is actually cubed potatoes in a tiny salsa bowl. It's very laid back.. like the staff is very laid back too. Seat yourself bc they will just look at you and not offer to seat you. lol. Worth a try!

John's Seafood offers an exceptional dining experience with its real catfish filets and delicious homemade tartar sauce. The large, flavorful shrimp are a standout feature of this small establishment, which features two convenient drive-thru windows and outdoor seating.
This food is outstanding! Real catfish filets, not a filet cut into strips. That homemade tarter sauce is great as well. The shrimp are big and they taste great. It's a small place with no public restrooms but it has 2 drive thru windows. One on each side of the building. There is outdoor seating. This is great.

Went to Johns Seafood on N. Market on January 29th, 2025. First, every time I go I don't know if the Asian staff or the African American staff will be there, and it is crazy that as a Black woman, I hope to pull up and see the Asian staff because the experience, even though slower is always more pleasant. However, on this specific day, the African American crew was there and no one came to the speaker, no problem, it is an older place where the speaker might not be working, so my husband and I pulled up to the window, and a guy was standing in view to see us with his arms folded and did not acknowledge us or the car that pulled off in front of us. It was really disheartening to see my people run a business like that, it was really an ugh-low-class type of moment. Acknowledgment takes a second, disappointing customers at a small business can be detrimental. Do better or let the Asians do it full-time. Seriously

Just went here for lunch the guy at the window customer service is horrible and unwelcoming no friendly hellos or thanks you after handing me my order after I have spent my hard earn money there for lunch . Guy at window very non chalant. Fries were either double dipped in grease or grease was old . The fries were hard. The fish was okay not best I will never return here

I only rate the atmosphere 4 stars because of its location. It is, however, a great place for business. Aside from this, I give an outstanding rating for John's Seafood employees & the food. I love this place!
Flowers — Google review
Only problem i had was the lack of giving people what they paid for there food. If I paid 8.50 cent for 2 peice fish plate I dont need 2 small peices of fish and no fries at all thats very unacceptable for the price in they need to upgrade they prices on there board because the price was not correct when I pulled up to order thatas false advertising.
Dre J — Google review
I was there today July 22nd - at lunch time for our office staff (4 orders) and the staff is extremely rude. I thought since I was having to pay for the food that I would get a little kindness, and other things that come with good customer service. I made the order and still was not given all the food. The French fries were from hell, brown and extremely crunchy. I guess they give you the &ucked up fries and stuff since you are in the drive through. I don't plan on ever going there again. It was a drive thru/up service, you can't eat inside and it's too hot to sit outside. Yes, the wait was unusually long, 2 other customers got their food first. I almost forgot, I was told to go to the other window which would make my passenger side closest to the window. So, I kept thinking that did not sound right but okay. Whoever had the bags, swung them so that they would hit the window/door part of my car. So, the items are all leaning sideways and mixed up in the container. Why can't you get your food at the window where you order it and the driver can get the order and it not be thrown at them like they are dogs. What the heck is going on? I have not been in several months and I will definitely pass the word to co-workers and family not to use the John's on North Market in Shreveport. Horrible Service!!!!!!!
Sonja K — Google review
I gave it three stars for the service I got ignored at the drive thru so when I pulled up I was ignored then the lady comes to the window no greeting just asked what can I get you. This food is not good at all. It was disgusting. The fish had no taste and had an odd smell. The shrimp fried rice also had an odd smell and taste. I literally took 2 bites out the fish and spit out the rice. It was THAT BAD! I couldn't eat it at all.

Sushi Gen is a popular sushi restaurant in Line Avenue that offers delicious rolls for two for $10. The chefs are known for their high-quality sushi, and the restaurant is always clean and fresh. The service here is quick and efficient, making it a perfect place to go with friends or family.
The food was amazing. My family and I ordered the lunch special bento box and sushi. Our server was super nice and accommodating the entire time. We definitely recommend.

I ordered several things and was very disappointed. My princess roll tasted like it was sprayed with a cleaner. It was so bitter that it burned your tongue. Also I paid 42 dollars for the smalls steak and shrimp dinner that didn’t come with rice. I spend 89 dollars and was only able to eat two things that I ordered. Super disappointed with the whole experience.

The food was good. I enjoyed their sea urchin and eel sushi. The beef udon was delicious and so was the salmon teriyaki bento.

Food taste: 3/5. Fairly average. Tasted good for sushi in Louisiana. Food cost: 1/5. Very expensive for 3 measley rolls and basically a sip of miso. Food quality: 4/5 fresh. Not bad. Service: staff were good. Kind and quick. Nothing negative. Atmosphere: interior feels more like the kind of rundown restaurant you find in a podunk town that’s been “renovated”. Clean, but has that unfinished feeling. Overall gave it 2 stars bc after spending $54, I would have hoped to be even somewhat full.. but ended up being really pricey for not enough.

Very pleased with the quality and taste of the food served at this location. Both the sushi and the hibachi chicken were fresh and flavorful. We ordered the teriyaki chicken dish and the Fire Dragon Roll (add spicy tuna). Our dishes were served quickly by the kind and helpful waitress.

Locally, one of the best sushi spots. So, if you don't travel a lot, a 5th star on the food might be in order. They were busy but seated us and served us quickly. We each ordered 2 rolls so we could mix and match and had the sashimi salad and tempura veggie appetizers to share.

It’s very good food, and a bit more upscale if you’re looking for a date night place. My husband and I always splurge on their fatty tuna and uni when we go here (and when it’s available!!!). I highly recommend their Kamikaze. Their service can be hit or miss which is why I knock a star.

Personally, I have always been a fan of bentos, and Sushiko gave me a very nice experience for my first time actually getting one. The service was amazing, the time it took to get here was not bad, and the inside was very clean and professional. The staff were very nice, we even had one hand us a makeshift chopstick to help my sister learn!

Superior Grill is a lively Mexican restaurant chain known for its extensive menu and vibrant atmosphere. Since 1983, it has been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, offering traditional and authentic Mexican dishes. The laidback ambiance makes it an ideal place to unwind with friends over lunch or dinner. Renowned for its tortillas and margaritas, Superior Grill offers a wide variety of meat, fish, and vegetable-filled options such as burritos, tacos, and fajitas.
What a fantastic experience today at Superior Grill, the staff was very friendly yet very professional, the food was delicious, fresh and fool of flavors, and brought to the table in a such a great timely manner! And let's not forget the drinks, with very decent margaritas and other very well crafted cocktails 😉😁😋

I’ve been a loyal customer of Superior Grill for years and have always enjoyed their hearty Superior Salad, it’s been one of my go-to orders. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a to-go order was disappointing. I ordered two Superior Salads today, and for $18.95 each (about $20 after tax), I expected the same quality I’ve grown used to. Instead, the portion was noticeably lacking. My salad had only six pieces of chicken and around eight pieces of steak. For the price point, this simply doesn’t reflect the generous servings Superior Grill has consistently provided in the past. Wanting to give the restaurant the opportunity to address this directly, I called and spoke with the manager on duty, Taylor. While she acknowledged my concern with a brief “sorry for that,” the response felt minimal given the situation. A more thoughtful acknowledgment would have gone a long way in showing that customer feedback matters. I’m not writing this to ask for a refund or compensation. I’m including my receipt and pictures in this review to highlight the issue in hopes of seeing improvement. I know what Superior is capable of, and I’d love to see them return to the level of quality and consistency that made me a regular in the first place.

Go see Ezekiel at the bar! There was a 30min wait so my friend and I chose to sit at the bar. For there being only 2 bartenders, they handled a busy dinner great! Ezekiel was the right amount of attentive and had great timing. Food came out pretty quickly. He recommended the original cheese dip app and it was perfect! My friend loved her brisket tacos. I was less than thrilled with my pork quesadilla due to the grease (which I know probably comes from the "juiciness" of the pork). Ezekiel recommended the margarita key lime pie and it was the perfect thing to round out our meals! It was sweet and tart and thick and creamy. Loved the music, decor, and overall vibe. Must go when in Shreveport!

My favorite steakhouse and first time back to this chain in a decade. Oh how I wish they would expand to Tampa Bay. The good news. It's still exactly as I remember. Excellent service, thank you Jasmine. Quality food. Good environment. Go for the Range Rattlers with Border Sauce (not ranch) and get them Grilled (not fried). That's a special request and you'll be in for a treat. The ribeye is always perfectly cooked. Go for the loaded baked potato or sweet potato. But if low carbs, broccoli or asparagus will be your ticket to a great dinner. Still 5 tail wags of 5 from the ol' donkey.

This food was so good i needed to do the review while still enjoying it! I started with the Pear sage smash (10/10)and it was a refreshing whiskey beverage that gave off the vibes of a less sweet mojito with pear. The la cosa Nostra salad (20/10)was hands down the best salad I’ve ever had; EVER! Delicious, filling and flavorful. Next up i ordered the Prosciutto Pizza was delicious(8/10) you can tell the ingredients are fresh I’m just a carnivore and wanted a little more meat. I love good customer service and servers who actually know the menu! 1000% recommend and will be back to try other items!

This is a gem for sure. 5 stars on everything. The place, food and service. We had mustard greens, gumbo and the stuffed shrimp plate. The gumbo was one of the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend that. The greens were perfectly seasoned, but the stuffed shrimp stole the show. They were not over fried or had to much breading. Over all a perfect meal. The wait was over 1 hour so we sat at the bar. Service was very fast.

Hands down this place is 10 out of 10. I was in Shreveport, LA on a business trip and someone from the area recommended Orlandeaux Café. From the time you walk in the door you're greeted by the friendly staff. Music filled the dining area. The music was loud enough to hear and enjoy but also you could have a conversation without screaming. The service was amazing. We ordered the alligator bites, buffalo style shrimp, Oyster Po Boy and a Seafood Platter. The seafood was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I travel a lot and this place is #1 on my seafood list. I will say bring an appetite because the portions are huge. Just plan to to ask for a to go box. The waitress was friendly and attentitive. There wasn't a long wait for our food or refills. There's a reason that they've been in business for so long. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend.

Go here! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, flavorful, and big portions. My husband had Fonda’s special with catfish, shrimp and one crabbed stuffed shrimp (his favorite item). I had red beans and sausage over rice: the sausage had a crispy texture and was so juicy, the beans had such a fantastic flavor. I also ordered a small order (big portion) of dirty rice. The flavor was out of this world with the perfect amount of spice! I also had a Swamp Water drink and the presentation is spectacular!

This place was great. It sits next to a lake so there’s a great view of the lake from the restaurant. The food was hot and fresh. The fried catfish was delicious and the macaroni and cheese is amazing. Also, I would get there early because it gets busy really fast!!!!
Shequinta G — Google review
If I have to summarize the feeling I have for Orlandeaux’s, it would be “shake my head”. It’s in a beautiful location, lake view, can’t beat that, and the restaurant has so much potential that would be wasted if the quality keeps slipping. First and foremost, the food. It’s hit or miss. We’ve had great food there, we’ve also had not so great. Stick with the seafood you probably won’t go wrong. Last time we wanted to try the burger, the bacon was soft and undercooked, the patty was so dry it was hard to swallow. Now services, this is the part that made us draw a line. Every time we went, it’s at least an hour wait. If you look past that, the service once inside is also very disappointing. The staff is friendly and attentive, but because of the layout of the workstations, floor plan, table assignment, this caused people to run around like crazy and forgetting things. This restaurant needs serious front house management and every time we went we never saw any evidence of this. Last time we went, my food came out 15 minutes before my bf’s and if I had waited, my food would have been cold. Then we waited another 15 minutes for a cup of mustard, overall it was just an unpleasant experience. Last but not least, although the location of the place is great. They need to pay attention to some outdated issues. The driveway into the property is very damaged and bumpy, it’s gotten worse over time. The restaurant floor is very slippery so they put black mats down everywhere, looking very unprofessional. The tables are damaged and outdated, the window seals were broken so the big scenic windows were foggy, blocking the lake view. The restaurant overall needs to pay attention to its cleanliness. Are we going to come back? It’s debatable. It’s hard to justify all of the issues with the service and atmosphere just for occasional good food.
Naturepower — Google review
This place is over the top. Beautiful view of the lake too. The service is fantastic, so hospitable. I was in town for work for the night and found this place while googling. The guy next to me had a combo meal that had catfish, fried shrimp, stuffed shrimp and dirty rice. I had originally came for the shrimp and grits, but that looked good and my server made the decision for me that I needed that. Lord am I glad that she did. This was probably one of the best meals I have had in a while. Will definitely come by anytime I’m in the area and recommend to my coworkers in the area. Thanks so much for a wonderful meal, hope to see yall again soon!

Anthony's Steak and Seafood is a hidden gem that offers classic steak and seafood dishes with an extensive wine list. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant surprises diners with top-notch service and high-quality ingredients. The menu features unique spins on traditional dishes, such as the Surf and Turf with an 8oz steak paired with a perfectly cooked catfish filet. Customers rave about the attentive servers who ensure that each dish is brought out at just the right time.
This was a Google picked a great place moment! On our way back from sightseeing, we just wanted a great steak. Anthony's did not disappoint! Every trip we do one high-end meal the steaks were lightly seasoned to perfection. The shrimp & lobster melted in your mouth. The homemade bread & house wine... I just cannot say enough good things. The owners (I'm assuming) were so very friendly and I would go here again every time we're in town.

Food—Absolutely disgusting. Overrated prices for small quantity and taste. I’ve had the shrimp and crab meat pasta; very small amount and fishy taste. Another had Quail and grits— meat was dry and tough to say the least. Drinks, watered down; literally tastes like water. The ambiance was welcoming and exquisite but i wouldn’t recommend. Many negative reviews and less customers in attendance.

Anthony's has been my go to for special occasions, but my most recent visit left a bad taste in my mouth literally. The steak I received tasted a little off, but the shrimp I received was spoiled and had an awful smell. There is absolutely no way the chef did not smell the shrimp when he was preparing the dish. We left shortly thereafter and I hoped I would not get sick, but unfortunately I did. The server however, was exceptional as always.

I ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and I received 4 shrimps for $22.95. There was a foul smell when the shrimps were brought to the table. I took a small bite and we sent them back and had the order removed from our ticket. The entrée was delicious. I got home and began throwing up profusely everywhere. I'm uncertain if it was the small bite of shrimp or if the shrimp and crab meat in my entrée was bad. The atmosphere was nice, but I will not return.

My wife decided to take me here for my 51st birthday and we were soooo glad she did. Everything we had was GREAT! Our server paid close attention and brought each selection that we made just as we finished them so as not to have us swimming in dishes. They had a different spin on Surf and Turf that my wife had( 8oz steak and a PERFECTLY cooked catfish filet) and I had the 14oz bone out ribeye. Each came with salad and choice of baked potato, fries and a third choice that I can't remember. We chose the baked potato and for our appetizer we chose the marinated crab claws. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The best part is that everything was priced VERY reasonably and the atmosphere was great. From the music playing in the background to temperature of the building we couldn't have been more pleased. WE WILL BE BACK!

This restaurant was chosen to celebrate my 40th Birthday in a private dinning setting. We were forced to sit elbow to elbow (mind you there are two other tables in the room not in use) because you can only sit at what’s set up for your reservation of 20. The room stayed at a temp of 77 degrees the entire time with an electrical fireplace going in July. The room is very small and also used for storage as shelving & boxes were stacked in a corner. Food came out promptly however most we’re displeased the steaks had imitation grill lines, Filet Mignon was the first I’ve seen to be flat and not round, the Au gratin potatoes were portioned to the feeding of a toddler per plate as if they were being stretched in the kitchen, Ranch dressing had a stench & taste of possibly being spoiled, Baked Potatoes were small in size and not even warm enough to melt the cheese oh and let not forget two of them were rotten in the center. The Owner is Very Rude and his waitress walks in egg shells due to his attitude being so Aggressive. Price was definitely not a problem but this is definitely a place I will NEVER spend another dime!!!!!!!

The wine list is extensive, and the restaurant has an intimate atmosphere that is perfect for date night or an informal night out with friends.
This place is a little gem in the East Bank District. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, I adore the walls that have been written on by years and years of customers. The place has charm and character for sure. The service was amazing and we felt taken care of the entire time. Of course, most importantly, the food was excellent!! My husband enjoyed the dinner special and I had the Ravioli Michele. Lastly, for dessert, we got the tiramisu. It was absolutely incredible, I could’ve shamelessly eaten 10 portions of it. We tried this restaurant on a Thursday evening. Looks nice on the outside and as you walk in you will see a the dining area on the right, and some guy playing Magic the Gathering ccg on the left. As we sat in the very back of what felt like a cramped dining space, we were greeted by our waiter fairly quickly. I inquired about their beer selection, they only had two; I think Coors & Michelob Ultra. The wine was about $8 a glass. So I ended up oredering a Dr. Pepper, which came out in a glass & in a small bottle that it came in; I'd take this over fountain drinks any day. Our waiter was great, very attentive even though he was sweating like he was running a marathon. Our bread was fresh and delicious. My wife had ordered some smoked salmon as an appetizer, that ended up coming out after our entrées. But she enjoyed the salmon. Her entrée was shrimp on top of spinach, this dish was pretty good. I ordered cheese stuffed tortellini with a tomato based meat sauce. The meat sauce was good but the tortellini was bland, I forgot they were suppose to be stuffed with cheese as it was flavorless. A friend of mine had ordered their special, which was some fish with a side of spaghetti. He enjoyed the fish but when he got his small side of spaghetti to go he added some meat sauce to it. The amount of sauce is probably barely one large spoon since it was such a small serving of spaghetti & he was charged $6. I had a large plate of tortellini with far more meat sauce & was charged the $6, you would think there would be a price difference. The atmosphere was nice, the waiter was good, the food was a hit or miss on somethings, a bit overpriced, imo, but the place maybe worth another visit for a different Italian dish.

We haven't done L'Italiano in a while. Apparently we've been missing out. Located along barksdale boulevard in the newly emerging East Bank entertainment area this restaurant is a high class alternative to bar food type dining. We were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival and chose the crab claws for our appetizer. This is probably the first time we've ever had warm crab claws but it won't be the last. The marinade was amazing and the crab claws were so tender they just melted as you ate them. Of course we used some of the complementary sliced hot bread to soak up the remaining marinade. Normally on our entrees we are a little more adventurous than we were tonight but it has been so long since we had the tortellini Aurora that we had to go for it. It certainly didn't disappoint, great flavor great taste and just the right size portion to allow us a small carry home for a good reminder of a great dinner. We were here on a Monday night celebrating a birthday but the restaurant was hopping and the staff was hopping with it, still the service was excellent. They were available when they were needed and nowhere around when we were busy with our conversation. Perfect, absolutely wonderful birthday evening!

Not very good. The mixed vegetables were served well before the entree sitting in oil and covered with and excessive amount of salty lemon pepper seasoning. The server was oddly non-chalant and wasn't very attentive. The food took a very long time to come out and when it did it just wasn't very good. I got the chicken Paradiso and the strongest flavor I tasted was the grill on the chicken. Don't look up if you visit the bathroom. Best thing I can hope for after that meal is that I don't get sick.

This has been on my list of places to try for a while. Finally got a chance to try it and it was so much better than I thought it would be. This is not Tex Mex, it's Cali-Mex. I got the tortilla soup and I would not recommend it. It had 2 small morsels of meat and the base was tomato instead of broth. My grandson liked his burrito. I tasted the queso on it and it was very good. The staff is nice.

The best vibes. Loved the decor and the margs were incredible. Strawberry jalapeno fresh and alive. The El Corazon with blood orange is an award winner. The service was great. Will absolutely be back!

Our meal at Don Juanz far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Rei and his team. The tortilla soup, ceviche and the marvelous shrimp tacos made with gulf shrimp were above anything else we've tried locally. They comped a DD (designated driver) cocktail for us, which made the visit more fun sampling their margarita menu. Highly recommend.

Don Juanz in Bossier City is a true gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The atmosphere is clean and inviting—perfect for lunch or dinner. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, and I was especially impressed with how smoothly everything ran. Whether you're craving tacos, burritos, or one of their amazing bowls, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves delicious Baja-style Mexican food with excellent service!

Stopped in and had a great dinner here. The prtetzel was one of the best that I've had. Both sauces were great. Also had the pepperoni special and the day wrecker. Both were excellent..... and that crust. Wow! It's so good you want to eat every bite! I will say we got an order of traditional wings. I feel like they are too expensive and weren't very good. The sauce was excellent though. I recomend this place if you are in the area. Their pizza is excellent!
Willie P — Google review
Thank you Cassie and Quincy! The crawfish dry rub wings were awesome!!! Trust me, get this flavor. It's made locally by them. They were recommended by my server, Quincy. They're slightly spicy but definitely yummy. The service from Quincy was perfect as well. She helped with the recommendations and my order was brought really quickly. She recommended the Carnitas by Jared pizza but I couldn't try it. Cassie was so friendly and helped me getting the dry rub. I was shy to ask if I could buy it but she mentioned they actually sell them. I ended up buying two of those. Now just hoping I would be able to go through security at the airport with them in my carry on.

We enjoyed the very tasty Parmesan chicken wings, cauliflower dough pizzas, and cold brew chocolate martinis. The service was quick and our waitress was attentive and helpful with suggestions. We recommend the Flying Heart as an alternative to standard pizza houses. 👍🏻

Super super good pizza and excellent pretzel bites. The vibe was chill and friendly everything came out fast. Loved it and certainly will be back.

It was very good, especially the beer. I had the Louisiana Amber and the ESB, both were delicious. The Kapow pizza was good, Kalua pork had great flavor but the sauce needed something, but overall with getting. Wings were very good! Service and atmosphere were fantastic, cool place to socialize inside or out.

The monthly Special pizza was amazing as well as the Meat Jeffro!! The most flavorful pizzas my mouth has witnessed lol!!! They even have mocktails! We had a blueberry mojito mocktail!

First time here after moving to the area 2 months ago. Charlie was our server and absolutely top notch service! Made us and our kids laugh, had great food recommendations, I couldn't ask for more. Also, at the end of service, he doesn't rush you out as if he is trying to get another table. Waits until you ask for the check. Enough about the service, the pizza was also AMAZING. I had the BBQ chicken and wife had the margarita. Both were phenomenal. If you want a friendly atmosphere with great food and great beer, this is the place! We will definitely be back!

I have been here twice so far, always a great atmosphere and food. Beer is phenomenal and so is the service. Mitch was our server, it was his second day and he was nailing it! He was very helpful with the beer recommendation and was super friendly. It is the service that truly makes this place stand out. Thanks Mitch!

Restaurant
Monkhouse Soul And Seafood is an unassuming counter-serve spot near the airport in Shreveport, Louisiana. It's known for its Cajun and Creole staples, particularly the stuffed shrimp. The catfish is flavorful, although the oysters could be better if served straight from the fryer. The coleslaw with raisins offers a unique twist, and their homemade tartar sauce is delightful.
Damn near everything about this place is bad but the food and service were very good. Its pretty clear they do one and only one thing well, and that's it. So if you're expecting a good side salad, skip this place. I hate fried catfish and this was the first time in my life I liked it. I'd highly recommend it, personally.
Alex X — Google review
Food was a little greasy but if you pulled off the breading and ate the seafood it was very well seasoned and very hot. Very friendly service and would return for another try just to see if it was a 1 time thing on the greasy food or just how it is. But definitely would recommend based on the flavor of the food.

I think this is the worst restaurant I’ve been to in Louisiana. I was starving too and it was trash lol 😆 spent 40$ on gator po boy, crawfish pie, and lemonade. The portion of Alligator was laughable for an 18$ po boy on a tiny old piece of bread. The crawfish pie was not edible I spit it out scared I was gonna get sick because it tasted horrible. Lemonade sucked too. I’d highly recommend not eating here. Look at the tiny amount of alligator on the tiny piece of bread for 18$ 😂 fries tasted off too. Just horrible experience
Nate D — Google review
Based on other reviews, stopped by on our way home. First, it's not much to look at, but I never let that sway me. The menu is handwritten on dry erase board, and it's so extensive there are at least 5 of them! Stuck to what we came for and ordered catfish. I got fried filets with fries, and he got grilled with rice and gravy. My fish was ok, nothing special, but the fries were well seasoned. My guy said his was "one of the worst meals" he'd ever had. What they do have here is outstanding customer service. That said, we could have asked more questions up front and possibly got something more to our liking. Nothing short of an expansive makeover will change the ambiance, though.
Jamie J — Google review
Having grown up in the south this is exactly what reminds me of my grandmas home cooking. The restaurant looks like a hole in the wall joint leaving the airport. I saw it and had to try. I was not disappointed at all! The food is excellent! Everything tastes like it was made to order. I didn’t ask but I’m pretty sure it was. This is legit home cooking southern food. The staff was super friendly and the price was more than reasonable. Highly recommend if in the area.

Cool little spot a little dated but I came for the food. Had some shrimp and fish seasoned well! The ranch is the only thing that was a little different.1st Louisiana restaurant but not my last .

Food felt as if I was back home in Houston. Fajita had great flavor, the Gordita was good, but Lil too thick on bottom. Think they could have spilt the Gordita better. Other than that food was really good

Barbacoa Tacos Amazing. Chili was delicious, Chili was hot but not to hot, it made you want more. Tortillas were delicious. Coffee is instant and costs $3.25. Chorizo and egg taco was not hot. I would still eat here again because the positives made up for the negatives but no coffee next time if I have to make it myself.

We had a wonderful experience here. They made me chicken curry to order with no onions due to an allergy. That is so rare. It was really good. My husband had sweet and sour chicken and his was good as well.

The service is phenomenal. Our waitress was attentive, quick, and extremely polite. The food is terrible. We got egg rolls and Mongolian beef. The egg rolls were great. The Mongolian beef tasted like it came out of a bag from a grocery store. The sauce tasted like brown gravy mix and soy sauce. It was not good.

We’ve been going to Margaritaville for a few years and have been cheating ourselves by never trying Bamboo Asian Cafe until last night. The service and atmosphere are outstanding. We did not need a reservation for Sunday night but even a little after 5pm many tables were full. I had General Tso with fried rice. The portion is huge and chicken is was tender but crispy on the outside. Hubs had the Shaken beef & fried rice. Steak could literally be cut with a fork. The fried rice was just ok - tasted like the frozen kind which was a disappointment. We brought home leftovers. It is on the expensive side but most restaurants are in a casino. We always have food credit at Margaritaville and sometimes don’t use it but from now on it will always be spent at Bamboo even if we order take out.

We were seated quickly, and the host was very accommodating with our seating request. Our server was on top of everything and we never had to ask for refills. The food came out hot and delicious as expected.

Wow is this place amazing or what? I am totally shocked this place is not packed nightly. Their food is Excellent! Go and try it, many excellent dishes are served. It is pricey but well worth it. Most dishes are large enough to share so that helps. Wife had the Orange chicken last night and it was Amazing, must try. Had to order fried rice on the side but definately worth it. I had the Umami Ribeye steak and it was awesome. Going to go down the menu list trying different dishes. Last time we tried Chicken fried rice and Shrimp fried rice and both were Excellent! Cubed Filet Mignon is Amazing as is Pho beef and brisket soup.

Visited this restaurant for dinner during our first visit to Margaritaville Resort and Casino. The food was good but the portions were a little light for the price. The General Tso Chicken was crispy and tasty. The service was good. The only small issue was the table was cleaned but it seemed dirty with all the smear marks on it.

Casinos is great, when they have all their supplies and when they are open. They run out of inventory a lot and I wish they stay open at nights and for the weekend, make some more money and get some better supply chains. But the food is always awesome..its worth the hassle.

Usually this place is pretty good. I had to order and leave quickly so I checked my food at the light. they literally charged me $14 plus. It came with a small salad. He later gave me the menu and the half is $8.99 and the whole is $12.99. So they charged me for a whole and I was given a half.
KD F — Google review
The food is excellent and the prices were great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive until she decided it was time to leave and someone acting like a boss decided to tell her she still had 8 minutes so she should be working very hard until she had to leave. At that point, she checked on one table and started banging things around at her station and tossing children seats on the floor. She was no longer friendly and did not check another table. All she did was bang stuff at her station. The other server seemed to have an attitude after this as well. Her smile seemed forced. Not a good dining experience when the staff disrespects management in public conversations. The arguments should be in an area away from customers so as NOT to run the dining experience.

This was the $20 chef salad. Let's look at the picture and decide for ourselves what’s wrong, as multiple things made me look at the waitress like she was out of her mind for putting it in front of me. I should’ve known better than to order a salad in Shreveport, Louisiana. I didn’t enjoy the atmosphere as the fluorescent lighting and shoppers purchasing deli meat were close to my mama and me. It made it hard to focus on the waxy strips of Government cheese and the long square of ham slapped on top of iceberg lettuce. The overboiled egg is leaning in the corner as if it is smoking its little cigarette. I do not imagine returning to Cush’s again in my life time. I personally didn’t enjoy the atmosphere as the florescent lighting and shoppers buying deli meat were so close to my mama and myself. It honestly made it hard to focus on the waxy strips of Government cheese and the long square of ham slapped on-top of iceberg lettuce. I won’t be returning to Cush’s in my lifetime.

I have to make this review since I had to go to the hospital this morning after eating here last night! how food instruction turned into a nightmare for me all I asked for was no sauce on my chicken and less on my noodles I can only eat small portions of the marinara and I explained all this well before my order was placed and after being looked at crazy and then being told yes ma’am I will have it taken care of I got brought a plate with marinara all over my chicken the waiter said he put it in the notes and took it back they scooped it off put it on top of my noodles so I had double double marinara I was picking trough on my noodles and trying to scoop on myself and look how shiny that chicken is with the sauce on it still!!! Showing me it was scooped off but how shiny the chicken is they put it back in the fryer??? With sauce on it that’s DISGUSTING!! And against a lot of regulations picture taken as soon as it hit my table so no denying but when it’s not the customers fault and they make it very clear that they have a food, problem or Allergy and y’all messed up the food and the customer made sure to tell everything right remake the food don’t treat me like that over your kitchen not reading special instructions, right that’s part of their job also, your worker should not be standing in the front talking shit. Your customers can definitely hear them. Depending on where they’re sitting

Our server was amazing and attentive. The food not so much. The salad wss good ,bread was good. Ordered eare steak and it was barely seared. Closer to Bleu than rare. The pasta was overcooked and sticky and the portions were less than I've had at other pasta places. I was not impressed with the food at all especially for the high price.

I had a chopped beef sandwich that was 8.00 and it was the smallest $8.00 sandwich i have ever seen. The management really should upgrade to the larger hamburger bun atleast. I want to support local businesses but this portion size is ridiculous. I could get 4 sausage biscuits at a fast food joint for 8.00.

This place has decent barbecue. The ribs brisket or pulled pork are always great. On occasion when we go through drive through I’ll order a hamburger and they have one of the better burgers in town. I’m a mixer when it comes to my barbecue sides. And their coleslaw and baked beans are absolutely amazing together. If in the mood for barbecue you should stop in here.

The employees are nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean , the food is excellent! My only problem is one or two of the employees don’t wear gloves and that grosses me out when I see them wiping their hands on dirty dish towels they used to wipe the countertop and then pick up bread and add butter then drop it on the grill with their bare hands. I saw one come from behind the register handling money, wipe her hands on that towel, then go take an order at the window, and fix a couple of plates without gloves. Disgusting 🤢

I stopped in this place and it was very welcoming, old school cafe style server line. People was awesome, food was great. Can get busy during lunch time. I have no complaints.
Charles G — Google review
I had an absolutely appalling experience at Hickory Stick, 4448 Youree Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. My order was completely wrong, I was overcharged, and not once did anyone offer an apology. The manager, Scott, who took my order over the phone, refused to address the issue until I had an employee intervene on my behalf. This happened around 12:10 PM during lunch—a busy time, yet I was left waiting over 40 minutes in the drive-thru because of his mistakes. When Scott finally came out, instead of taking responsibility, he had the audacity to act upset with me for still being there. His rude, dismissive, and disrespectful behavior is utterly unacceptable for any manager and reflects a complete lack of professionalism and customer care. This was my first time at this restaurant and it will absolutely be my last. I cannot, in good conscience, support a business that treats customers this poorly. I want to warn others—be extremely cautious if you choose to dine here. I am only able to leave one star, but I would gladly leave none.
Misty M — Google review
Very nice staff but the food is nasty. I got the ribs and they were cooked nicely but lacked flavor. The bbq sauce tasted like ketchup and vinegar I had to stop at the grocery store to get something better. I got the potato salad as well and it wasn’t sweet like a lot of the other reviews say but they still weren’t great. I would’ve rather preferred the store bought version. Bbq beans where ugh I added more seasoning to them when I got home. 3/10 for the food wouldn’t recommend

Just had the brisket sandwich and it was disgusting. Half of the "brisket" was unchewable fat. Would not recommend. See photo.

The potato salad was very close to the original recipe at this location and I miss that at the Baton Rouge location. Look how nice and tight the potato salad is. No heavy egg or mayo flavor. The beans were also good. The ribs and chicken were a little light on seasoning for me.

Visited this place a second time as out-of-town guest. To summarize my experience....horrible. I entered the restaurant at 7:15pm (they at 8:00pm) and the server was dumping the mac-n-cheese in the trash. Once he saw me he placed the mac-n-chees back on serving line...needless to say it was old and tasted horrible. The meats (I had the sausage, brisket and chicken) were cold and the chicken was undercooked. I also had the green beans and they were cold...became obvious the green beans were setting on the serving line a long time. I am hoping I don't get food poisoning from this experience as I am travelling. This visit was such a let down compared to the first time I visited two weeks earlier. The manager was on duty this visit and the food was awesome. Only kids and young adults were on duty tonight when I visited and their only motivation was to close exactly at 8:00pm so they could leave. Needless to say, I won't be going back. Highly recommend NOT di ing at this place. Much better food available in Bossier City cooked and served by people who care.

The star of the show is undoubtedly their selection of oysters that will leave you craving more!
If you are ready for a good time, this is the place to be! The food was amazing and the drinks...ooooweee! I love the indoor area that opens up to the live stage behind the restaurant. We were able to enjoy our food and listen to the band. I had shrimp tacos and the garlic parmesan oysters.
LaShanda M — Google review
The service was above average. The food was tasty, but it was definitely cold. Did i say it was cold? I don't get it because there were only 3 or 4 other guests there, and my order was one of the first taken. It was good, but I'm thinking that it would have been great had it been served as soon as it was prepared. The atmosphere was good as well. Oh, they don't serve anything fried. The peach cobbler was okay. It's a cakey crust instead of a flaky. I prefer a real cobbler crust.

I don't know what it was about the southwest chicken nachos but they were the best nachos I've ever had. They were delicious!!! I wasn't too happy with the stuffed blue crab. It was more like crab shell with stuffing and a sprinkle of crab on top. It was good just lacked the crab i was expecting. But ill be back for them nachos!!!

Our waiter was an extremely nice young man. He was so friendly. The food was just ok. I am unsure how food usually tastes but my half of a chicken was soooo dry. The oysters Rockefeller was ok but the oysters were so small. I didn't understand why they would even serve them. I will not be returning but the atmosphere was nice.

This charming eatery specializes in vegan and gluten-free options, making it an ideal stop for anyone craving fresh salads or invigorating cold-pressed juices. Their menu features delightful choices like the Kale Caesar salad, Summer salad adorned with luscious berries, and BBQ chickpea salad.
First time eating here. Plenty of options. Tasty food. I am not a vegan but I really enjoyed the meal. It was seasoned well and the spice did not overpower the taste of the dish. The chef came out and spoke to us about their closing in March. Very disappointed because this is a nice restaurant.

For a vegan, this is an excellent option. Because you can get anything on the menu without having to make any substitutions or changes. The food was good but not great. Their pastries were our favorite part.🤤 The atmosphere is great because it's spacious and has indoor and outdoor seating.

Okay, let’s begin by saying if you are vegan and have been doing this awhile Wellfed is for you. If you are like me and just wanted to give it a try it may not be fore you. Staff is great and interactive. I loved their enthusiasm for their jobs. The food comes out quickly, the place is spotless, their is limited seating but it is well laid out and it seems most people get their food to go. It is welcoming and perfectly decorated. I loved the experience the food just wasn’t for me. I may try a salad in the future but definitely not a fan of vegan bread and coconut bacon.

Easily one of my favorite places to visit when I’m home. Pictured is the strawberry smoothie bowl and it is heavenly. I usually order this paired with the strawberry and cheese cheese toast. Did I mention everything is vegan and delicious? Check this spot out!

Another restaurant I found by accident & glad I did. I'm not vegan but do seek healthy & am moving towards gluten free which is also a highlight here. So I had a vegan hamburger with coconut bacon & was pleasantly surprised. I will be back to try their sweet treats & smoothies. BTW the staff is very professional & positive which really made the experience that much better.

Wonderful menu with plenty of choices, including toasts, smoothie bowls, and sandwiches. The fresh juices are soo tasty and nutritious, and the bread is to die for. They offer a weekly and a daily special; one of my favorites is the Tex-Mex quinoa bowl. It is very evident that Well+Fed is genuinely dedicated to promoting healthy living. They’re Shreveport’s gem!

In addition to coffee, they also offer cold beer, wine, and cocktails for those looking to unwind after a long day. The quaint front and lush back patios provide a lovely outdoor setting to enjoy your drinks.
Stopped by for a snack and a drink. Loved our drinks. My Salmon Bagel was probably the best one I have ever had. Trust me when I say I had a lot of them growing up in Brooklyn. Highly recommended

I enjoyed an iced cold brew drink called “Thunder” as well as the Rhino biscuit (on a Jalapeño and cheddar biscuit) with bacon added and it was absolutely fantastic. The biscuit was the star of the show. The coffee was delicious, and not too sweet. The prices are so reasonable, I will definitely be back.

Fantastic! I was in Shreveport for a wedding and wasn’t expecting such a great coffee shop! I got an iced caramel macchiato and the rhino biscuit. Holy crap that biscuit was amazing, subbed for a jalapeño cheddar biscuit and added bacon. I got a blueberry muffin as well and it was so good! Coffee was great! Cannot complain about the service either, they were very polite! Sadly a homeless person came in trying to hassle customers for money for cigarettes, but the staff asked them kindly to leave and took care of it. So other than that great environment as well!

This place was great. My wife and I stopped by on a Wednesday morning. It wasn't crowded and parking was ample. The employees were friendly and warm. We had the egg and biscuit which was delicious. The iced tea was just right for me. My wife got a coffee that she enjoyed. We plan on making return trips here for the foreseeable future.

My biggest takeaway after our visit on the morning in 10/4, is that the person working alone on the counter NEEDS A RAISE. They were calm, they were cool, they were kind- despite a constant onslaught of people with coffee and food orders. We waited patiently for our drinks while watching them juggle taking orders and pulling espresso shots, all while never once catching an attitude or being rude. Whoever owns this coffee shop has a dependable person who needs to be recognized. (The coffee was good too- I got a cookie butter cold brew and said I’d add my own half and half and they still did it for me!) please please please take care of your employees.

I have a serious Coffee Habit. So when I travel I'm always looking out for Local Coffee Shops. Rhino is probably one of the best I have found in my travels. The food was OUTSTANDING!! The coffee was smooth & not bitter or too acidic. The ladies that work there are absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful & fast. We visited twice while in town for a conference. The Breakfast Scone, Quiche, Breakfast Biscuit sandwich were ALL on point!! I will definitely return when in Shreveport!!

Nestled on the Texas-Louisiana border, Silver Star Smokehouse Express is a culinary gem that showcases the best of Southern barbecue with a delightful Texan twist. 4.25.24 Fantastic food! The steak bites where the melt in your mouth kind and the calamari was yummy! I forgot how much I've missed real sweet tea😋Everything was very good!! The waitress was outstanding and we had our lunches in no time! Definitely go! You won't be disappointed!! (Helpful hint- steaks served only on Thursdays)
Laura P — Google review
We use to visit the Silver Star in Bossier in front of the old K-mart, that place was top tier. I tried not to compare the express to the original place that I loved but it was hard not to. The service was excellent from our waitress & from what I observed from other waitresses. The restaurant was nice but didn't know it was joined with Monjuni's. This is not bad as you get to order from either restaurant. But your seated in a dining lobby inconsistent with the steakhouse vibe & more like a party with a piñata. The selection of food on the menu is limited in comparison to the other Silver Stars, hence the Express in its title. But I was wanting or looking for more or at least bigger entrée items. Alot of the items were small & fast cooked items that they can get out quickly. I suppose if you live close by & you don't want to drive into town, then this is your only option for overpriced bbq. The price I paid for 5 ribs is the same if I were to get a full rack at Texas Roadhouse. Imo, you would get a larger portion of food at Podnuh for less money. Overall, the food is good, the service was great, & the atmosphere was inconsistent. If you live in town, there are better options but it is still a nice enough place to get a change of scenery.
Mike G — Google review
This place is an upscale BBQ and Italian restaurant. You might think double restaurants seem fast food or lesser the quality YOU WOULD BE WRONG. Arthur can put out some love filled food. This restaurant is hands down 12 outta 10 delicious. We had the 3meat platter with broccoli and green beans. The brisket was so tender, yet it had that bite that consistency you're wanting. Oh man, it was so good and juicy. We had the ribs, and my husband said he apologizes, they are so good he's eating them. Ok, so they are good enough for him to be stingy. THAT'S DANG GOOD. Now my favorite pulled pork. Oh goodness gracious it was great. I asked for a bun. I was ecstatic when the cook Arthur sent it out toasted. They have the good pickle spears. Our waitress was on it. Our cups didn't get half before we got topped off. She was so nice and the manager also. We had a cupcake before dinner came. The cake was great, a little sweet but good. I enjoyed the inside it had local art and their history displayed on the ways. Yall cone in eat some food. Make your own conclusion.
Rose M — Google review
I ordered on doordash and it was delicious. They are also carry monjunis dishes as well. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was so creamy and full of chicken. I also got the spud with brisket. Everything came individually packaged so I could build the spud when it arrived. The potato was wrapped in foil and steaming hot.
Rebecca W — Google review
I think half of these reviews are fake. This has to be the worst BBQ I’ve had in the city. The food is overpriced $22 for a two-meat plate, when you can get a three-meat plate at Podnuh’s for $20. The BBQ here was dry and flavorless, and the sausage was extremely dry. I asked for a cup of ice and got a cup of water instead. If you want your money’s worth, go to Podnuh’s. You’ll get more food for less money. I’ll never come back here.

This was the first time my wife and I came here. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long. We both ordered the smoked brisket with sides and I have to say everything was delicious! We were very full after eating and definitely will be coming back! Thank you guys for good food and service! Management you should be very proud of your girls!!!!

Blanchard Site. 4951 N. Market During my recent visit, I ordered the steak bites with loaded baked potato and green beans, and I must say, they were the best I've ever had. Ali, our waitress, displayed a remarkable personality and provided impeccable, top-tier service. Following my meal, I discovered that I had left my purse behind, but fortunately, Ali and the manager, Bailey, quickly contacted me and arranged for its safe return, with all contents accounted for. If you're seeking exceptional service and quality food, I highly recommend this restaurant. My husband's sliced brisket sandwich and baked potato were also exemplary, and he praised the outstanding quality of his meal and service. I highly recommend trying this establishment for yourself; you won't regret the experience.

Our waitress was very sweet and paid a lot of attention to the detail of making sure we both got what we were looking for.

Placed 2 online orders in advance and went to pick up. I received the first one, no problem. The second one was a 1 lb roasted turkey order. i was told they would slice in the back. No problem as I waited for 22 minutes and they forgot my order as others came and went. The young lady upfront asked me if I had received my order yet, and I told her I'm still waiting. She finally went back and grabbed it. If I place an order online and the status states ready, I'd expect it to be a quick pick up. This was not the case as I had multiple people wait in the regular line place orders and receive them.

I have always got a good ham from there, but I brought another ham and it's dry and hard to cut. It looked old too us. And it's too hard to cut this time. And it was almost 100.00 dollars. That is worst one I have ever got from there

I’ve never eaten here before but saw some ads on Facebook for the sliders and really wanted to try them. Looked online and saw that they close at 6. Got there at 5:20 and tried to order the ham sliders only for the girl to tell me they had already shut the oven off and she could either give them to me cold or I could order a different cold sandwich. I can make a cold ham sandwich at home. If you’re going stop service at 5 then CLOSE at 5. It’s not like I got there at 5 minutes before close or something. Annoying!!

If you a looking for a sandwich that will change your life they definitely have several to chose from. I mostly recently had them carter lunch for my employees which was great! The reason I am rating a 2 star review is the customer service. The employees (college students and teenagers) are very unprofessional. This is my second experience we’re I received poor customer service. The first time I walked in on Friday April 22 to purchase a sandwich. No one acknowledged me. As I stood at the counter several employees were making sandwiches but didn’t acknowledge me. A simple “Hello, give us just a moment” would have been good. After several minutes I placed my order. The drink machine had no ice so I settled with Hot Tea (yuck) After bragging about The Honey Baked ham sandwich which is AWESOME!!!! On May 31st at 5:30 pm my sister and I decided to swing by and purchase a sandwich right before closing. When I walked in the store the young lady greeted me. I noticed she was wiping down the work station. Everything was already covered and closed up. I told her I wanted 2 honey baked ham sandwiches. She turned around to look over her shoulder as her co worker walked up front from the back of the store. Then she informed me that the oven was shut down for the evening and she would not be able to serve me a hot sandwich. I then left the store. I sat in the parking talking to me sister as I observed both employees lock up the store at 6:00 sharp! This goes to show they shut down early to leave at closing. That’s unacceptable and unprofessional. Break down and clean up should never affect service. That oven should not close until the store closes. This location is only open from10:30-6 so this does make sense.

We visited in celebration of my 38th birthday and I must say Sabores Dominican Bar & Grill did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell it was cooked with pride and love. We ordered Jerk Chicken w/ white rice and beans, and Oxtails w/ yellow rice and peas. We were surprised to see a serving of the most delicious pasta salad on our plates as well. The flavors in each dish had us craving more and more. Make sure you order the Passion Fruit juice with your meal! The prices were fair and the portion sizes were perfect! It reminded me of how grandmothers try to overfeed you at family gatherings. The service was quick and friendly! Nicole was our hostess/waitress and she gave us some suggestions on what to order since we were inexperienced with ordering Dominican style food. Her suggestions did not disappoint. We left we full bellies and cannot wait to return with friends.

We have not eaten a lot of authentic Caribbean food. We had ox tails and jerk chicken. The ox tails were tender with a delicious gravy that paired well with the rice and "peas" - we think they were a variety of chickpea sprinkled throughout seasoned rice. The jerk chicken was not too spicy and it was not sweet. It came with white rice and delicious stewed beans. I ordered a side of plantains which came with this delicious green sauce that tied everything together. Our only gripe was how long it took the food to come out. The staff was very friendly.

Great atmosphere with great vendors. Delicious fresh local produce added with local treats and eats. You're bound to find something. The covered area is great too, takes the sun off you while you look around.

My brother and I visited this weekend. It was my first time going to the Shreveport Farmers Market. I really enjoyed it. We bought several things from some really good small businesses. It's great to see so many small businesses coming together with good music and food. I like the shade of the pavilion as well. Enjoyed our time!

Great vendors, especially Sweet EsSaunce Catering, phenomenal food, desserts, and drinks. They are also a Veteran owned business.

An overcast morning was great was not too hot it was lots to choose from if you haven't been to the farmers market yet then you need to go.
Steve T — Google review
I love it, but I wish it could stay open just a little longer, like til 2pm. It's only open the one morning of the week, and unfortunately many people have told me they cannot spend their one free morning per week at festival plaza when there are household chores like lawn mowing, or catching up on laundry. Saturday might be the only morning people have to sleep in a little late. If the hours could be from 1p til 2p I know for an absolute fact attendance would increase.

This was a nice market with many fresh produce options. There seemed to be a nice balance between fresh produce, other vendors and food truck options. My only complaint is several vendors did not post prices for their items making it hard to compare.

Bakery items are fresh daily.

Great vendors, great prices, great people, good family fun. I thoroughly enjoyed vendors such as The Lynn family farms , Saxon Farms, and Dottie's Delight Dog Treats just to name a few but all the vendors were fantastic from what I could tell. Can expect to see me and my family back there every Saturday for as long as I can go. My first trip to the farmers market this morning was a delight and will certainly become a Saturday tradition for me and my family. The food was great , the music was great. People from all ages and from all over were flocking here and everyone was so polite and kind.

Nestled in the vibrant East Bank District of Bossier City, Streetcar Station is a delightful gem that transports you straight to New Orleans with its charming decor and inviting atmosphere. This adorable shop specializes in New Orleans-style Snoballs, which are essentially finely shaved ice topped with an array of innovative flavors. Guests rave about the smooth texture and variety available, from classic favorites like blue bubble gum to unique options such as wedding cake.
Excellent spot for a treat! The snowballs were fantastic, and the texture was perfect. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the ice cream was divine. I love that they sell New Orleans Ice Cream Company ice cream in Shreveport! I had a stuffed praline snowball with chocolate ice cream. Everything we tried was so good.

Wow this is a really nice place. The snow cones are amazing 🤩 . The ice they use is very fine and smooth to the taste. This place is an upgrade to the traditional snow cone stand. The decor and ambiance is amazing. It’s very clean and welcoming. The staff were really nice and the snow cones did not disappoint. If you like the traditional flavors they have those but they also have some new flavors. I got my favorite 🤩 blue bubble gum and we also tried wedding cake which was nice as well. We will definitely be back . There’s also a really cool backdrop that you can take pics and post if you’re into that. What’s really cool is that Streetcar Snoballs also has an area where you can have birthday parties for the kiddos. Streetcar Snoballs was a pleasant place and I look forward to making many stops to try all the different flavors this summer ☺️

I just brought my son a snowball key lime. He didn't like it all so I tried it myself the favor wasn’t what I imagined very tart I ask to switch it to a different one I was told No this was very unacceptable it’s just ice people. “ICE”. as a first timer here this will be my last time here.

My first visit was on September 18, 2025 with some friends. Streetcar Station is such a cute ice cream and shaved ice shop. The lady serving was so sweet and friendly. The ice cream was delicious! I definitely will visit again soon!!

Loved getting to watch the planes land and take off! I thought it would be noisy but it was not at all! Food was delicious, came out hot. Staff was attentive and friendly. Restaurant was clean and a great place for lunch or breakfast. Definitely one of my new favorite places!

Stopped by for the Brisket Mac n’ Cheese (special for the day), and it was satisfying and very filling. Also grabbed a slice of blueberry lemon cake. You really feel the care they put into their cooking! A great, friendly diner that stands out from the rest, will definitely be coming back.

I drove by the sign for this place & hoped it was real .. it is. The staff is also down to earth & the food is very good. I have had only good experiences here and more to come. To go along with breakfast & lunch options they have incredible dessert. It's worth going a little bit out of your way.

A new airport diner and the food was good! Enjoyed my breakfast quesadillas and the staff was friendly and responsive!

This place is so delicious!! I've been wanting to try this place out forever, and it was worth the wait. The sandwiches that my wife and I ordered were so good, and our one year old daughter really enjoyed the gigantic cinnamon roll (as did we, lol). We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Met friends for lunch and had a great meal. The Swedish meatballs were a great daily special, but the banana pudding stole the show! Yum! Awesome staff too!

Great selection of cheese dishes. The servers were great. I had the Monte cristo, and it was OK, but I had plate envy of everyone around me. I can't wait to return and try more.

Steak house
Nestled in a nostalgic 1980s ambiance, The Village Grille is a culinary gem that offers an enticing selection of steaks and seafood. Diners rave about the high-quality cuts of meat, which are often hailed as some of the best around. The fresh seafood is equally impressive, making it tough to choose between these two delectable options. The atmosphere is dimly lit, creating an intimate dining experience—though you might need a little extra light to read the menu!
Awesome food, arugmently one of the best steaks in town. The deserts are just as good. Only thing i ate that i did not care for was the shrimp with goat cheese. Goat cheese, to me taste like a goat smells, yuck. Okay lets talk price. Bring your credit card. It was the most exspensive meal i can remember eating. But, we did eat alot. Some times you have to spurge. I will be back. Probably on Anniversery

It was....ok. Dim lit..decor wasn't that bad..but I'm a sucker for those waterfall placards anyway. Our waiter was very nice and knew the menu..but should have not gone outside to smoke and come back in so quickly..my date comments on that to me. I smoke, but I'm conscientious of others..and waiting tables worth those prices, no one wants to smell that. But other than that..nice waiter. The food sucked. I tried the salmon..and it was like eating a sponge of salt. The fried artichokes app was decent. As for their famous signature drink, the "Snowbear": I bartended for a decade..and if throwing Kahlua and ice cream with crap vodka makes you feel like the upper echelon..go for it. That's what it tasted like. I like everything...and I've lived here in Shreveport for 33 years...I've eaten in every restaurant around here, so this was on my bucket list for the longest..I left disappointed. And it's true..they didn't greet me at the door with a smile. Remember..this ain't the roaring '80's oil town anymore people..our economy is down..so customer service should be at an all time high! :) I'll go one more time and see if my mind changes. Never judge a restaurant on one visit..unless you're poisoned our something I give it a C-.
