Diner
Breakfast restaurant
The Blue Benn Diner, located in Bennington, Vermont, is an iconic American diner housed in a circa-1945 railcar. Since its opening in 1948, it has become a recognizable landmark and a must-visit destination for those traveling through the area. The diner offers classic breakfast and lunch favorites within a nostalgic setting complete with booths and jukeboxes.
We had high expectations based on everything we read about this place and they exceeded them all. We all ordered something different and loved our meals. We had a variety- blueberry pancakes, omelet, home fries, muffins and coffee. They offered to grill our muffin….don’t miss out on this deliciousness. Everyone had great customer service skills and seems to get along well. They don’t mess around either. As soon as the waitresses see food, they rush to get it to you when it’s piping hot! The cook’s energy was infectious. He clearly enjoys what he does. He’s been working here since he was 18, I think our waitress said. I am sure that contributes to the consistency in their tasty food. You may have a wait but I can see why. It’s totally worth it. Don’t miss your opportunity to experience this amazing diner. My picture of outside is 6am but there was a full parking lot and wait around 11am almost everyday that we were there.

All the diner classics plus some unique options on the menu. Hubby tried the country Benedict and I had the cornbread French toast. The food was very good but cold before I could eat and the butter wouldn’t spread. It was 55 degrees outside and they had windows and doors open. I put on a jacket and closed the window next to me. The waitress came over and opened it again saying “we’re keeping them open”

Hubs and I went to the Blue Benn a few months ago and LOVED our breakfast!! I had the blueberry pancakes; which were light and fluffy, had a ton of blueberries in them and since the stack was too much for me to eat, I took a box home. They were equally good the next day!! Hubs had a ham and cheese omelet that he said was amazing!! We were in the area again and we were dying to try their lunch. I ordered the broiled haddock (love fried, but I'm trying to be fairly good) with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The waitress was very nice and asked if I would like gravy on my mashed.....yes please!!! A few minutes later she brought me cottage cheese (not coleslaw, but i love CC so I took it), then my fish. The gravy was just melted butter, which again...made the potatoes taste good, and maybe their idea of gravy is butter??? The haddock was tasty and the red bliss mashed were tasty. Hubs had a turkey club which he loved. It came with hand cut fries that were crispy and fresh. He also got blueberry pancakes ti try there, and take home. Those were spot on again!!! Overall we were happy to go back and will do so again!!!
Meghan S — Google review
A fun spot with local flair! The Everything Bagel melt was amazing! Even though there was only one server for dinner time, she handled the ENTIRE place with speed, efficiency, and grace. Each diner was treated as though they were the only ones in the place, and yet no one seemed to wait more than an inordinate amount of time for service. The diner was clean, and very reminiscent of bygone years. We would definitely stop again if we pass this way!
Kevin G — Google review
We stopped here for lunch on our drive back from Burlington to New Jersey. It’s a totally random place on the side of the road that looks very unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you step inside, your transported back to the 1960s. The decor and atmosphere is extremely unique, the servers are all very much on their game (shoutout to Maddie, she was so sweet.), the menu is huge, and I have a feeling that no matter what you order it would be delicious. We got the blueberry almond pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and a grilled Mesa sandwich with sweet potato fries, both were humongous portions and absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in the Bennington area, this is a must go for lunch.
German D — Google review
I stopped in here one morning while backpacking on the Appalachian Trail two years ago. I ordered the French toast with real maple syrup. It was literally life changing. I still tell my kids how good it was and I’m considering a special trip up from TX to have it again.

I've never been here and all the food was so good! The blueberry pancake was so yummy and the California Benedict was delicious. I cannot wait to come back when I visit my family!

Breakfast restaurant
Sunny Side Diner, located at 241 Main Street in Bennington, Vermont, is a popular American restaurant known for its all-American menu. It's considered one of the best restaurants in Bennington and offers a bright and cheery atmosphere to enjoy homemade dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The diner serves up morning favorites like biscuits and gravy, as well as delicious pancakes. With changing daily specials, it's an ideal spot to start your day on the sunny side.
Eat breakfast here!!!! The only thing better than the people and hospitality is the food. Great little mom and pop restaurant. Many reasonable choices and prices. The staff were professional and friendly. We enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Jimmy L — Google review
Sunny Side Diner is a classic American diner with a warm, welcoming vibe. I had breakfast there and ordered a 3-egg omelet with American cheese and broccoli, which came with a choice of bread and potatoes. I opted for sourdough bread and home fries, along with a cup of filter coffee. The portions were generous, and everything tasted great. The service was efficient, if unremarkable. It’s clear this place is a local favorite—it was packed, with not a single table available. Another perk is the ample parking, which adds to the diner’s convenience.
Me T — Google review
This is a comfortable breakfast place. I am gluten and dairy free, and was able to order a nice breakfast. There is no dairy or gluten free option for coffee creamer or toast. Usually I bring my own plant butter and dairy free creamer, but today I forgot. Well, I was having a nice breakfast with my two brothers who I have not seen in a few years. We waited our turn to be seated. Less than 10 minutes after we paid our bill, the waitress asked us to leave!!!! I am not kidding. We were not even there for 45 minutes. She said they had other guests waiting to be seated. They had opened tables. We paid over $60 for breakfast. This is unacceptable! Bill and tip already was paid. Otherwise the tip would have been much less.
Deborah S — Google review
Was recommended the raspberry pancakes and they definitely didn’t disappoint, they tasted amazing and the portion was HUGE!! They seem to be really busy so maybe call in advance but I enjoyed my experience and everyone was super friendly as well so doesn’t get better than that! Thank you!!:D

What an absolutely charming place. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. The environment was so friendly. A couple came in with their 2 well behaved dogs and it added to the cozy atmosphere.

Pretty dang good breakfast at the best prices around. Our waitress was outstanding. Definitely recommended!

Wow! We've been coming to Bennington for several years now and finally stopped in. What a wonderful breakfast spot. Friendly staff and great food. We'll have to come back more often now. FYI, limited seating but service is fast and tables seem to open up steadily.
Lawrence P — Google review
An enjoyable stop for a breakfast , served hot with decent service. My eggs, bacon and home fries came with excellent toast, believe it or not. We enjoyed the cinnamon roll and they are exquisite... Very large and absolutely delicious. Service was good, prices are quite reasonable, and there is a restroom on the premises. They take Visa and MasterCard.

Coffee shop
The Coffee Bar, located on South Street in downtown Bennington, is a recent addition to the Putnam Block Redevelopment project. This trendy spot offers more than just coffee; it's a hub for art, live music, and community gatherings. Visitors can savor craft coffee from Mocha Joes while enjoying pastries and snacks. The eclectic atmosphere exudes cozy coffee house vibes with its unique decor including suspended drums and a stage for live music nights.
visiting family that just moved to Bennington, absolutely LOVED the Coffee Bar! It was a quick walk from their house! The atmosphere is so eclectic and gives off complete coffee house vibes, if I loved local I would love to work here! Got a iced maple latte and it was DELICIOUS! The first sip was a perfect combo of REAL maple syrup right off the tap and delicious espresso! The musical person in me was absolutely loving the drum displays and the stage for music nights! 10/10 recommend if you are just passing through or have time to sit and enjoy, some cute outdoor seating or indoor seating, perfect working remote setting as well! The women working was very helpful and kind with my indecisiveness! Next time we are in town I will be DEFINITELY be making at least one stop into The Coffee Bar!!
Sarah W — Google review
Coffee was excellent. Chocolate croissant not so much. It was $5.50 just for the croissant and it was a day or two old. You pull that kinda stuff and you won't have many customers left. It's easy to tell day old 'anything' from freshly baked. Id like to think that they're service was cold, but I've noticed this in New England as a whole. Hospitality and friendly service is lacking up here, in general. This cafe was no different. No greeting when you walk in, as if your troubling them in their establishment. Anyways... The cafe was nice and big. Seemed like a cool venue for live music.
Tootsie P — Google review
Stopped by here on my drive home. The cafe latte was decent enough and the blueberry muffin quite good, but service was decidedly unfriendly, bordering on rude. I recognize it’s not the best job, perhaps especially on a Saturday morning. The payment screen offers customers a choice of 15%, 20% or 25% tips. I tipped as I always do out of respect for people in these service positions but the Coffee Bar staff definitely didn’t deserve it. If you visit, consider leaving a cash tip AFTER you receive your order. Otherwise you may regret that you tipped. I’ll spare the details of my experience. Suffice it to say I’m taking the time to write this in the hope that it may benefit future customers and to be completely candid, also to vent my displeasure. I also write in the (more distant) hope that reviews such as this one may nudge the Coffee Bar staff towards learning, appreciating and implementing the basics of acceptable customer service and recognizing that tips are not an entitlement but a reward for good service or at a minimum service that doesn’t prompt a customer to write a review such as this one. If you’re reading this, please check out other reviews, both positive and negative. Perhaps you’ll have a better experience if you visit or simply an uneventful one from a customer service perspective. I’ll be curious to see future posts just to see if there are signs of any positive changes at this establishment.
Daniyal S — Google review
The staff was knowledgeable about dietary restrictions, and made sure I knew the pumpkin chai had dairy in it because I asked for oat milk (it was very good). Fun decor, not crowded, and there was a customer there with a cute pup so bonus points for allowing dogs.
Heather S — Google review
Love the seasonal specials of coffee, boba, their support of local products, and the variety to pick from. I tried a seasonal raspberry white mocha and it did not disappoint. They have lots of cozy seating in either low rocking chairs, couches, or big tables for large groups. Unless you’re a fan of window sitting, like me. They have that too. Love the atmosphere and the coffee smell that fills the room. They’re also one door away from a lovely Bennington bookshop!
Inna B — Google review
The most unfriendly barista I have ever encountered. Wouldn't look at us or serve us until we directly addressed her. The coffee cake was decent but awkward to eat because when I asked for a plate, I was haughtily informed that "We don't do plates." Interestingly, when locals came in, she was all smiles and helpful to them. Message was clear; tourists not welcome here.
Kristi S — Google review
Stopped in for a cup of Joe before they closed, coffee tasted delicious! We ordered a Caramel and a Mocha Macchiato small. A little pricey but worth it. Great atmosphere to and certain days they have live music

My favorite coffee shop in Bennington. During my annual fall color trip, I make a point to stop in. The offer a large selection of caffeinated beverages both hot and cold. They also offer a nice selection of baked goods. The atmosphere inside is spacious and inviting.

If you're in Bennington, make sure to stop by The Local, a delightful breakfast and lunch café that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Formerly known as Love A Bagel, this charming spot offers an array of fresh bagels, scrumptious baked goods, and mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, perfect for enjoying your meal while soaking up the morning light.
The Local cafe in Bennington has recently moved. The food , sandwiches, bagels and treats were always very good. In their new location they have more choices. They now have a cute little boutique. The light and bright atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable. The servers are very nice and willing to chat. Very sociable and friendly. Service was quick. We loved our food. The fresh fruit cup is delicious. My husband enjoyed his breakfast sandwich on sourdough. The bagels are great!
Deborah R — Google review
I recently visited The Local Cafe twice for a late breakfast and had a consistent experience both times. I ordered the Breakfast Veggie Sandwich on sourdough, which included egg, tomato, broccoli, and spinach. The sandwich was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients that came together nicely on the sourdough bread. To accompany my meal, I had a cup of coffee, which was decent, and a cheese cupcake, which was a delightful treat—creamy and not overly sweet. The service was adequate; the staff was polite and efficient, though nothing stood out in terms of exceptional hospitality. The cafe was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant dining environment. One of the standout features is the convenience of free street parking, which made getting in and out hassle-free—a definite plus for anyone driving in. Overall, The Local offers a solid breakfast experience with fresh ingredients and a clean environment, making it worth a visit if you're in the area.

Super cute little place! Just got a coffee today but plan to go back tomorrow for a bagel and coffee and maybe something else!! I grew up in Bennington and remember the space as an office supply shop in the 70’s. My best friends Dad owned it 😊. I wish you much success!
Mary L — Google review
Food and the prices were okay but that’s where it stops. Rude server took our order and then held simple sandwiches behind other customers for 20 minutes because they judged our politics based off of a hat with a normal flag on it. The food wasn’t tasty other than the bacon. Be warned they add ingredients to the sandwich that aren’t on the list. The owner/manager seemed super nice so just a little sad that the people who serve there let their politics get in the way of doing their job properly.
Eric P — Google review
If I could give zero I would! You wait for your bagel from employees who think it’s their own private party. Your bagel gets cold and they are rude. Sometimes I have a great experience but more and more it has become horrible.

This is a very cute & whimsical cafe and store. We loved our sandwiches and taking a few minutes to browse the handmade products!

Papa Pete's Home of the Giant Pancakes is a cozy restaurant located just outside Bennington, offering jumbo pancakes, omelets, and burgers in a comfortable setting with both counter and booth seating. The menu features classic American breakfast and lunch options, including vegetarian and vegan choices. Visitors rave about the delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service. Guests recommend trying the giant pancakes for a unique dining experience.
Nice small, comfy place... booth tables high enough to get my fat belly in! I had two blueberry pancakes, tasted wonderful, started eating before I remembered to take a picture! I'll be stopping in again, if my old legs will allow it. Can't get my wheelchair up stairs! Lol. But it was worth it. Very nice people.
Thomas D — Google review
We stayed in Bennington for the weekend and saw Papa Pete’s as we looked for restaurants in the area. Advertised as the”Home of the Giant Pancake” - it totally delivers on that promise! This is no thin crepe pancake, it is a full 14” round, 1” thick delicious behemoth of a pancake. While we were warned that it’s huge, we just didn’t comprehend how much breakfast it was. Think of a small pizza - easily feeds 3-4 people and possibly a young family of 5. We also had other breakfast plates and they were great too - the pancakes( normal sized) being the centerpiece of the meal. The vibe is home kitchen eclectic and the service is snarky and blunt ( in a fun way).
Mike B — Google review
As you may know if you follow my comments, I have a very rare allergy to onions 🧅 garlic 🧄 and many other ingredients belonging to the same family. Here they have been exceptionally helpful and have adapted to my diet. Above this, and beyond the great and tasteful (and generous!) meal, I have to say they are awesome people. You feel like if you knew them all your life. You feel like if you were in family! I have no words to recommend this little paradise, how they make you feel. Cooking and heart go hand by hand here. Please, come and experience their breakfast and love.
Pedro T — Google review
We went around 1030 and the place was empty. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. Food was very good. Pancakes were great. I had the Campbell( corned beef hash benidict). Not that it's a deal breaker but potatoes could use a bit of seasoning. I would recommend stopping in for a bite. And I will probably stop in again

THE FRIENDLIEST BREAKFAST PLACE EVER! If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular! The owner, Kathy, and my server, Stacy were wonderful. I've never had so many laughs at breakfast. I felt like one of the family.
John — Google review
This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in my life (and we ordered just about every breakfast item on the menu). When we walked in the door, the owner managed our expectations immediately by telling us how long our food would take to cook. We placed our orders and then waited. The waitresses were kind and helpful while taking our orders. The food was DELICIOUS. Every single food item tasted fresh and homemade - because it is. The bacon, the eggs, the potatoes (both french fries and home fries), the pancakes, the French toast, the hash, the cider, the iced tea. All perfection. 100/10 would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

We come here for breakfast everytime we’re in MA. A very small place, so get here early to get a table or you may be waiting outside. Friendly owner who remembers us every time we come in, even though it’s only once or twice a year! Food is always well cooked and served with passion. Of course you need to try the pizza sized pancakes!

Elm Street Market is a hidden gem in Bennington, offering the best sandwiches made with Boars Head meats. Despite its unassuming exterior, this market takes pride in using the freshest ingredients and offers gluten-free options. The Maplelicious sandwich, featuring maple ham, turkey, bacon, Vermont cheddar, and more, comes highly recommended. You can grab your food to go and enjoy it at nearby outdoor spaces like Willow Park.
Was looking for a good sandwich on a recent road trip to Craftsbury, read good reviews so thought we’d give it a try! The owner was awesome, super friendly and helpful - knew many of his customers by name. Sandwiches were amazing, great combinations and everything very fresh. Big selection of drink, chips and other delicious treats. We enjoyed it so much we stopped in again on our way home to Virginia. Highly recommend!

My favorite sandwich shop by far! The ingredients are always incredibly fresh, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Consistently delicious, quick service, and the kind of place you just keep coming back to. Anytime I have friends, family or coworkers visit from out of town I bring them here for lunch! Highly recommend!

My favorite place to eat in Bennington, Vermont! I went here every day for lunch and never got tired of the food for two weeks! The New England clam chowder and tuna melt were my favorite! The Angry Egg Two is a family-owned and operated breakfast and lunch cafe that recently expanded to Bennington, following the success of its original location in Manchester, CT. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients and supporting the local community by showcasing local artworks and products. Customers can enjoy a variety of dishes including breakfast sandwiches, omelets, waffles, and lunch items.
A Hearty Stop in Vermont... When we're in Vermont, we make it a point to stop at The Angry Egg2. My husband always gets his favorite, the Greek Omelette with a side of fruit. I love to switch it up, but I've never been disappointed. The Avocado Toast is fantastic, and the Angry Sammich (I get mine with bacon, egg, Swiss, chipotle mayo, and arugula on an English muffin) is the perfect start to the day. It's a consistently delicious breakfast spot that's well worth a visit. Highly recommend!
Virginia W — Google review
We love Angry Egg Two! We live a few blocks away and come in every Sunday for breakfast as a treat! My 2 top favorite dishes are eggs Benny and the waffle sammich with the flavored coffee. I believe the only other place in Bennington that serves eggs Benny is Papa Pete's down the road, but out of the 2, I definitely prefer AE2's version. The hollandaise is perfect, and the homefries are nicely seasoned and crispy. The waitresses are prompt and friendly, and the food is good quality, generously portioned, and affordable. What more can you want for a casual, locally-owned diner experience? They often have free and talented live music playing on Sundays at 11, so plan according to your preference and / or hearing ability/disability. After breakfast, you can walk up and down the street and check out the other great local shops. It's a perfect Sunday if you ask me!

Wow! I am currently hiking the AT, and these are by far the best pancakes I have ever had. Great, clean place, and you can tell everyone on the staff cares about the service they provide. Eat here if you are hungry; I highly recommend it. Thank you for a great breakfast!
Devin S — Google review
Gluten free pancakes and toast were good! Eggs and home fries were standard. Staff was super friendly. Seems like a place that locals really like to go, and there was a live music duo setting up to play as we were leaving. The layout is strange though, with the booths pulled away from the wall so there is awkward space on the side of your table. Also, a lot of open space in the middle with a giant host podium, where you'd think tables would be. It's odd-looking overall, but the food and staff are worth it.

Very breakfast items. Breakfast corn dog was very tasty. A tater tot offering with a variety different flavors were great. Not your typical “greasy spoon” garbage like some of the other places in town. Had the Classic eggs bene and the Angry Hash. Loved it all. Home fries were perfect and tasted like French fry nuggets. Bene was delicious. Angry hash is angry as hell and a nice kick to start the morning. Only mistake was we saw delicious looking hot chocolate being served to another table replete with candy canes and we should’ve gotten that too. Did not eat lunch but menu looks solid and a nice draft list to select from. I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is such a silly town. Highly recommended unless you have wooden teeth and don’t understand how breakfast works. Wonderful time.

The food was awesome and the staff was amazing. The Sunday I visited there was live music being played. I live in the Buffalo NY area and just for the French toast I would drive the 340 miles one way to eat that dish again. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Bennington VT area.

The staff at the deli were friendly, but there is a major disconnect between what is on the menu and what is actually served to the customer. We ordered 2 warm Tuscan chicken breast sandwiches, featured on the menu as specialty sandwiches at $14 each. To our dismay, what we received was a sandwich filled with the remnants and scraps from a roaster(some were cold by the way) that included generous amounts of skin, slim and dark stringy parts from chicken legs, grizzle and wing cartilage. We removed most of the meat as it was unappetizing. When I brought this to the attention of the deli staff person who took our order she was polite but stated that they do not buy chicken breasts but buy roasters. I suggested that they correct their menu as we paid for a chicken breast and received straps. Very poor quality deli experience and very overpriced for what you get. For $14 the sandwich comes with a pickle and a handful of stale potato chips. I’ve attached photos of the menu and the sandwich. I will not be returning to the deli at the Community Market nor can I recommend it to others.

Went on free coffee Fridays, can’t complain about free drip coffee. Had two bagels with sausage egg cheese, the local sauces added a sweet/spicy kick and the peanut butter cookie was fluffy on the inside. Staff was very nice, would come back for sure

So glad to have this place in town. We needed this! So many local options. The cookies are INSANELY GOOD. Try the “better than Brad Pitt” cookie or the holiday cookie box. I love the breakfast burrito. Shop local!!!

Great bright and open space to gather for remote working, coffee, or working meeting with friends. Espresso drinks are fantastic and breakfast/lunch menu will have something for everyone. Many things on the grocery side are expensive, but it's a conveniently located place for me to grab local milk and staples. They also have some nice partnerships w community groups and events.

A delightful addition to downtown Bennington. Warm and friendly local folks will make you feel right at home. A non-profit with very healthy fresh produce from nearby farms including some of the best organic growers. Handmade delicacies and even some unusual items: so look around at all the shelves. Not just a grocery -- rates as a must stop for visitors.

The deli counter waitperson was short tempered after we ordered from the wall menu and we were informed about the turkey was out of stock so she stood there getting more impatient and when we decided on an alternative selection she sends another worker in front and he takes another customer order who stepped in front of us the first wait person ignored this, this has happened multiple times we were trying to get service and I am through paying for rude treatment and will relate my sentiment whenever the chances present.

Nestled behind an old stone wall, Four Chimneys Inn & Restaurant is a charming B&B housed in a restored 1913 mansion. This Bennington gem has been recognized as the best Vermont Bed and Breakfast by Yankee Magazine. The inn boasts a stately white exterior, four iconic chimneys, and beautiful gardens on its expansive lawn. Each uniquely decorated room exudes elegance and comfort, while the warm hospitality of the innkeepers adds to the inviting atmosphere.
What a beautiful and welcoming place this is! From our first encounter with Ruby when we arrived, we knew this was going to be a winner. The hotel itself is immaculate, and we had no complaints at all. Darius the bartender and Mark the morning cook were fun and served up great food and drinks. Kim the morning server is adorable and so sweet, and the owners Marc and Kate made sure that all the guests were well looked after. Last but not least, Orange the dog is lovable and so stinking cute! We highly recommend Four Chimneys for a unique place to stay, or even for a wonderful dinner. We will be back for sure.

I rarely post Google reviews, but this lovely Inn deserves huge recognition. It’s located in the heart of the historic square and the rooms are large and elegant ( I stayed in room 1). However, I must tell you that the food in their intimate restaurant may have been the best culinary experience I’ve had in years. No hyperbole here, you must try it! I’m just sorry I didn’t get the chefs name. The staff team was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. I usually stay at national chains when I travel but made an exception for Four Chimneys & wait to come back!

Beautiful inn, and beautiful grounds. The restaurant was closed when we were there so I didn't get to experience that, but I enjoyed my morning exercises and stretches in the courtyard with a fountain, as well as a delightful breakfast provided. We stayed in the Estate King Room, room ten. It was slightly smaller than a usual hotel room but that's often the case with a bed and breakfast/inn historical location. The provided breakfast was amazing, and the service was also excellent, the waitress was warm and let us know all about the area and some local museum exhibits! Would visit again! Would be the perfect place for a SMALL outdoor wedding as well.

Four Chimneys Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully maintained inn with elegant rooms and peaceful surroundings. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Definitely a must-stay if you’re visiting Bennington!

This is one of the MOST amazing, fresh, locally sourced dinners I have had the pleasure to experience! What a treasure! We have lived in the area for over 30 years and had no idea this gem was hidden under our noses. The quality of the food, focus on local sourcing, preparation, and presentation were all exceptional. We will definitely be going back for date nights, special occasions or anytime we want a REALLY good meal. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

a total gem. Owners care and it shows. The food is incredible- fresh, unfussy, impeccable preparation and service. This Inn is five stars all around. Historic yet modernized gem with the energy of a beloved well-run family business.

What a perfect place for celebrating my birthday! Room 5 was utterly delightful, but it was dinner and then breakfast the next day that really made our stay special. Of note, the Chiled Spring Pea Vichyssoise with Smoked Salmon Crostine was soooo delicious. We'll come back just for that next time!

Dunkin' is a beloved, long-established chain known for its signature breakfast offerings and an extensive selection of coffee beverages. During my visit to one of their locations, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive, checking in on my order as I waited at the pickup shelf. True to Dunkin's reputation, the food met expectations with delicious flavors and perfectly filled drinks that hit the spot. It's always a reliable choice for a quick breakfast or caffeine fix!
One of the cleaner Dunkins I’ve been to, hey boys asked me what I’m waiting for when I go up to the pick up shelf, and make sure they work on mine because they know I’m there. Nice people, the food is what I would expect, and properly filled drinks.

I ordered a dozen donuts through the app at 7:05. I arrived 10 minutes later and my ordered wasn't filled but the slip was on the shelf. I stood watching all the other orders that came in after mine get filled and sit there. I politely asked if my donut ordere could be filled and was told there were only two people working. A couple minutes later a different girl went to take an order from a woman who came in after me. I grabbed my slip and said, "Can I please have this filled? I was here before this woman and the order was placed at 7:05." I was then told by the employee that I didn't need to have an attitude. She filled my order while lecturing me and sharing the store isselues for the morning. Happy Friday!
Jennifer T — Google review
It used to be quite good but as of late (September 2025) it's gone down hill fast. I've ordered a grilled cheese, it's not toasted I just got a cheese sandwich. Anything with egg's regularly taste's awful, most of the time either it tastes rotten or like some sort of chemical cleaner. Everything that is supposed to be toasted it normally cold, no toasted bagel's just round bread. The drinks have been very very messy lately, they don't even try and clean up the cup they just give it to you with half of the coffee dripping out. Also, they've been refusing to put syrup inside the cup in drinks that are supposed to have it like that Mocha crunch frozen coffee or the cookie swirl one. Want yummy crunch bacon? Nope, flacid stringy bacon. Most of the employee's are unfriendly or just downright rude, though other's are really sweet and friendly. One more final thing, they keep refusing to give me pumpkin syrup they keep saying that's not a thing, but the dunkin in Troy gives me the pumpkin syrup inside the cup and on top of the whipped cream. Anyway, that's the end of my list of complaints, I really hope they learn how to toast there food and clean there damn cups. :<

Several days in a row, I walk in at 5 o’clock and get ignored for 10 minutes while the clerks all race around madly, serving the drive-through window. Customers don’t know where to stand on line. Watch order after order get served at the drive-through window while we’re being ignored. So then the customer start walking out of the store. The appropriate thing to say is “we will be with you in a few minutes. Sorry for the delay.” And they need to treat the in-store customers better, not like second class citizens.
Jonathan S — Google review
My dad made an order on the app for 9:35, but when I got there only the coffee were done, but they didn’t get the dozen donuts we ordered. So I waited there patiently since I noticed that the workers were super busy and I didn’t want to further stress them out. But after 30 minutes they still hadn’t gotten my dozen donuts, but completed multiple door dashes and front counters orders. Eventually, I stood in front of the mobile order station and one of the workers saw me and asked me what I needed, I said I needed the dozen donuts for my mobile order and she “okay” and got them. I wasn't expecting any big apology or explanation, but I was surprised she didn’t at least say “sorry”. I definitely weren’t say this Dunkin is terrible, and most of the time they are amazing and quick, but this just was a very bad experience.
Aderyn — Google review
It was an odd setup. Cashier took our orders over by the drive-thru line even though we walked into the establishment. Even though there was a register right in front of where the donuts were to take orders who came in through the front door. Very awkward. And hard to hear over the open window for the drive-thru. Other than that the food was pretty good. I got a chicken wrap and my wife got a pumpkin spice drink with a donut. Never been to one of these before so it's kind of fun experience.

I asked for a Berry Burst for my son and they said the Blueberry Refresher. I corrected them and they said that they call the blueberry refresher a berry burst. I came out and gave my son his drink and told him and he said someone has to be not good at their job to mix that up since the berry burst is a dunkin energy and not a refresher.

Wouldn't leave a star if I didn't have to. They always mess up the order and then tonight showed up at 5p.m and they refused service saying they shut the ovens off when they don't close until 7. Absolutely ridiculous and corporate could care less.

Pretty decent service inside, only had 3 or 4 employees working so the key is patience here. You will get your order but it might not be as fast as you'd like. No places really to sit inside, it looks as though maybe renovations of some sort started then stopped. The womans bathroom door handle is a bit messed up and broken but still usable.

My whole order was completely wrong. I ordered two bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwiches both sandwiches had some kind of tissue inside of them it was absolutely disgusting. I ordered two wake up wraps with bacon, egg and cheese, but it came with it sweet pepper bacon which my kids don’t eat so they didn’t eat their food I asked for three different donuts, one jelly donuts, one vanilla frosted donut with sprinkles and one strawberry doughnut with sprinkles and instead I received two chocolate donuts, which none of us like either not only all this but it took them a whole hour to prepare the order and the whole thing was absolutely disgusting The worst Dunkin’ Donuts in history
Natasha — Google review
I was disappointed with my experience at this Dunkin Donuts. I completely understand when people have a bad day at work. Especially in fast food/retail. It's no secret that a lot of employees are underpaid, especially for the amount of things they have to put up with during customer service. However, I really don't believe the employees should take it out on customers who are NOT a part of those problems. With that disclaimer out of the way, I'll move on to my visit to this location. I arrived to pick up my food and two drinks at the pickup counter, while a worker was standing right next to the counter. Realizing that I don't have the grip strength to hold 2 drinks and two bags of food, I tried to get the workers attention by saying "Hi there!" I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she didn't hear me that time, so I said "Excuse me ma'am." Again no acknowledgement. I tried again. "Excuse me ma'am, can I get a cup holder?" This time she snaps her head up and said "I don't know okay?? I didn't make your drinks. Like, I don't know alright?" While shrugging her shoulders exaggeratedly. I was taken aback so I said "just a cup holder for the drinks please, I can't carry them" She acted very exasperated and threw her hands up a lot, like I was asking for some insane request and said "okay??? A cup holder???" And I just nodded. She brought a large stack of the drink holders out (Idk why she didn't just take one off herself and give it to me but again I'll just be devil's advocate) and had me peel off the top one while giving me instructions and then went back to making whatever she was doing at first. I don't know why she was so upset with me, I was very cordial. I assume it's just very busy or something but I just had a bad experience. Maybe it'll be different for you. I've heard some other stories about the service there but they aren't my stories to tell. The drinks were okay. They forgot sugar in mine so it was just strong coffee with milk and not a lot of chocolate. (Mocha Iced Coffee) My only other complaint is the sandwich I bought had very undercooked bacon on it. The texture was more akin to Canadian bacon by how chewy and floppy it was. Might have been a little unsafe honestly it was pink instead of red.
Elijah T — Google review
Not enough staff, can barely count change. Wait time is ridiculous. No one at the main register in the front had to walk over to mobile pick up to place order. The two girls that are "working " are more interested in socializing than getting orders done and out. This is sad especially since we are just visiting this is definitely a location we will not come back to if in the area
Kristina ( — Google review
Unfortunately, this location only gets a two-star rating, the place is dirty, and a bit worn out. Time for renovation! More importantly, I stood and waited for someone to take my order at a virtually empty counter, the two employees seemed too busy with one or two drive-thru orders to come take my order. I just turned around and left after almost 5 minutes of waiting. Probably should have used the app. On a positive note, Tesla superchargers on location 🔌⚡
Rich H — Google review
Refused to serve any food. Ordered two hot chocolates for my wife and daughter. They tasted so bad that they had to throw those out after one sip. The staffs were rude as hell. Very inconvenient for the Tesla supercharger usesrs in the lot as it is the only place to wait while ev is charging.

What a complete mass. I’m from Massachusetts and I was doing work here in Vermont and I stopped by this Dunkin and they’re just so out of order. There was a woman waiting for her drink for about 20 minutes when the store was basically empty, and the employees are just messing around. I came here on July 27 In the Afternoon.

Today I made a purchase of 4 Value Meals. I waited but not too long, I received my food portion of my order and NO Drinks. I waited a few minutes longer and finally asked the girl at the counter politely where my drinks were? She told me that she did not take my order and that I needed to show my receipt. She was standing at the counter while I placed my order. I showed my receipt; was given a hard time as they now had to pour 4 drinks. I asked for two of them to be with no ice and the girl snapped back at me that they could only do that with Manger approval. Being now irritated I requested to speak to the Manager. She came forward. I explained why I was unhappy. Requested two drinks with no ice, and she refused. The girl at the counter stated that she had not taken my order. She was partially correct. The girl she replaced was taken from the counter mid-order and sent to another job. The manager asked what drinks I had ordered rather than looking at my receipt as they seem very anal about; and as she was filling the drink order the original counter person told her that I had ordered Root beers for the order. I give this a 1 star at Best! Complete lack of cooperation, coordination, and Team leadership. Rude personnel and the Manager did nothing to honor my very simple request of no ice in two drinks. Way to treat costumers after you folks make a mistake! I will tell all of my enemies as I will not recommend them to my friends! My Order was #242. Check out the pic. I have a receipt!

They get the orders right 6/10 of the time. Whenever I've had to use the bathroom it's always been in disarray, but the last time I used it, it was astonishingly disgusting. Poop water was EVERYWHERE (in the woman's bathroom). When I told the teen at the counter, instead of doing anything about it, she shrugged. She couldn't even be bothered to put a sign on the door.

How could i possibly complain about our 1 and only McDonald’s in Bennington?! Thanks to this McDonald’s, we don’t have to drive to cross state lines to North Adams, MA or Troy, NY. I’ve found that when the drive-thru is packed, the lobby and/or mobile order with non-drivethru pickup is the way to go. Bathroom has always been clean when i’ve used it, and the food has always been exactly what you should expect from a McDonald’s. Great staff to interact with, in my opinion also. Thankful for this location and all who work there keeping it running!

The food was delicious, the person who manned the counter to enter our order Henry was helpful, even checking in the kitchen to make sure they had stock on something, and let us sample an experimental new tea blend, which was terrific. We sat outside as it was such a beautiful day, but inside is nice too. Henry brought our order outside to us surprisingly quickly, considering the store was pretty busy at the time. I have eaten in the restaurant a number of times and always been very happy with the food. I’ve only been to the bistro once or twice, but felt that it deserved its own mention so people could enjoy the delicious foods for lunch as well as dinner.

Have an affinity for Pangaea as we got engaged at Park McCullough in 2005 and after had dinner reservations. Arriving late, the owner asked 2 employees to stay as long as I made it worth their time. The idea if private dinner was perfect and as my wife tells the story Pangaea is always highlighted. Returned to the café for lunch today and N Bennington is quite the bustling little town. The café didn't disappoint, with a delicious lunch. We sat outside and watched the summer traffic, talked, and enjoyed the Vermont day! A must stop place when in the area!

Fun spot for a cappuccino. The baristas are young and pleasant. The place is super cute with lots of places to sit and work or share quiet convo. There is a town square outside to enjoy your coffee next to the most beautiful fountain. The coffee is AOK.

Got an iced matcha latte and a chocolate croissant. It was essentially a cup of whole milk that was green, no flavor to it at all. Asked them to warm up the croissant and it was so hot that it turned the croissant into a blob of inedible glue. $15 for me to spike it all in the trash. Wouldn’t go back.
