We were very welcomed when we arrived for our first visit. Servers were great, as was the girl cleaning the tables. My husband ordered the brisket which he thought tasted great but the temperature was cold so he didn't enjoy it as much as he could have. I had the chopped pork with coleslaw and baked sweet potato. The pork was pretty good, but a little dry. I only had a couple bites of the sweet potato be use the butter they served us was a vegetable spread, made with hydrogenated soybean oil and palm oil, not real cream butter. The hush puppies were excellent. Crispy, and a little sweet. The coleslaw was just okay as like an ingredient was missing. I ordered the coconut cream pie and was not disappointed! It was really, really good. The ladies restroom was fairly clean with the exception of towels and toilet paper on the floor, but it was getting busy inside the restaurant. Loved the scriptures on the wall in the hall, and the Christian music playing.

What a Gem! Food was great, customer service was awesome. Owner made a special effort to deliver food and talk / greet the customers. Will definitely be back next time im in the area. Loved it!

Stopped at this restaurant while on a road trip and it was a great choice. Food was fresh, price was fair, servers were friendly and welcoming. The sauces tasted delicious, so everyone could get the taste they wanted. If you want to have a great meal stop by this place anytime.

This is a feel good dining experience. You sit in an open room with people you don't know and feel like family. I had the 1/2 Smoked Chicken. It was so juicy and had just the right amount of smoke.

Very good , juicy brisket. Nice bark and not overcooked. They had a variety of sauces, and I chose the spicy version which was just right for my brisket. Great variety of sides, and I wish I had saved room for the delicious looking dessert offerings. We were quickly seated and the service was quick and importantly, our food orders were all exactly correct as ordered. My wife is a "special order girl" and it is rare that she receives her order correctly. It was a pleasant visit for both of us. ;^) Plenty of free parking, wheelchair friendly and very clean. We hope to visit the area again soon so we can go to Countryside for more delicious BBQ.

We go to the restaurant occasionally. Its a 45 minute drive for us. We would go more often if we lived closer. They have a excellent kids menu. Our food is always delicious and large portions. The staff is always great and do everything they can to make it a enjoyable meal.

Visited this eating establishment with a group of friends who enjoy BBQ. Pleased to state that the BBQ was very good, which I ate with popcorn shrimp as part of my plate. Sweet potato fries and collards were my sides, accompanied by hush puppies. Four of us at the table ordered the collards, which were a hit. Serving portions were generous and the service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant has a good menu with items that should please those who opt out of the BBQ.

AMAZING food! The portions are huge, the presentation is the best I’ve seen, and the prices are great. Instead of salsa brought to the table you get beans with chips (which were great). Then we realized all the salsa was in the back at an all you can grab salsa bar which was even better! I would definitely come back, my only qualm was our server was not wearing a mask but all tables were properly dispersed.

This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever ate. The service was top notch as well. I’ll definitely be coming back here

We were visiting the area and decided to grab dinner here based on the good reviews. This restaurant seems to be a local favorite. The portions are huge and the prices are pretty cheap so that makes it worth a visit! They only serve beer and micheladas, no wine or margaritas. After we munched on the complementary warm chips and bean dip, we ordered the steak flautitas appetizer and steak fajitas for one (to share). Both were good but not amazing.

Amazing!!!!!!! The food is outstanding!!! The salsa bar is awesome, best salsa ever! And to top it off the service is top notch!! Definitely recommend!Prices are very reasonable too! Oh the portions are great too!! The decor is adorable!

This place is amazing!!! The food was all obviously fresh and very well made. I want to make a special mention to Ishmel, he was a busy bee working in the restaurant, doing everything from waiting and busing tables, to helping in the kitchen, and running the register. If we ever come to this area again, we know exactly where we will be coming to eat.

We went early and there weren’t a lot of people there, but it was very comfortable. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I like that they’re different in that they bring beans out with their nachos rather than salsa. However, there is a salsa bar.

AMAZING family-run business! Delicious food, friendly service, fair prices, large portions! Don't miss this one! Appetizing nacho chips are served with beans, and there is a salsa bar in the back with a variety of salsas to try, too. Loved the tamale!

I didn't get the girl's name, but she had dark hair and drives a Kia. I only know that because we had a conversation about our cars. But her customer service skills are A+. It was my first time ever eating here, and I love a good pizza. When I received my pizza, it was fresh out of the oven hot, the cheese was delicious and stretchy. The pepperonis are giant and delicious. When you think of Ninja Turtle pizza, this is what I imagined eating. It is so good you have to try it. I ordered a call, so I normally don't tip for those, but I'm definitely returning to give her a tip because she was a sweet young girl and made sure I had everything I needed. Provided good conversation while I waited. And that is a good server.

On the way home from the Bigfoot festival we hit up Eddies Pizza and Pasta to eat. It’s in an old KFC building, so kind of reverse how old Pizza Huts are turning into different restaurants. This was an old KFC turning into a pizza restaurant. Pizza was good and everyone enjoyed their pasta dishes. They even give you little loaves of bread which is nice! You have to go outside to use the bathrooms, so that was a little different, haven’t had to do that at a restaurant in a while.

The food was absolutely awesome! It doesn't look like much from the outside or heck even the outside, but the food was dynamite. Even more than the pizza was the family that owned and operated it. They treated my family they were their family. I can not say enough. We came to get a to go. Ended up staying eating and taking a to go🙏

It was the best pizza I've had and I travel a lot. Very well priced and so yummy we had the meat lovers and it had such good quality ingredients and the girls working there were the sweetest things in the world. Was a small little place but big flavor 😋 10 out of 10 the crust was perfect and just as good as the toppings. Do yourself a favor and skip the 5 Mexican restaurants on the road in and go here its so worth it

We were in town for the week with a large group. We ordered 13 pizzas, and they were a hit! The pizza was delicious, and our large order was ready very quickly. Highly recommend Eddies!

I had the spaghetti and meatballs plus a salad and a basket of bread. It was amazing. I got to speak with Sammy before I left he told me a little about the history of his family and how they got here they still run the restaurant. Awesome atmosphere and Great food plus Sammy is a 5 star kinda guy I will be back.

Excellent meal. Creamy alfredo sauce - my picky eater even said "it was out of this world buttery and creamy!" Great pizza and bread! Reasonably priced and fast. Big portions. Very clean inside; but not impressive curbside. Staff was very friendly. We will be back.

After a day of hiking in Linville Gorge Wilderness trails we found Smokey Que's on our way back to Ashville and it really hit the spot. We absolutely over ordered and ended up with to go boxes from huge portions of shredded brisket, shredded smoked chicken thighs, pulled pork, pork ribs, and fried fish. Everything was awesome including the sides. Hush puppies were really tastee and we had one that looked like Alf (the TV show from the 80's). I would definitely eat here again.

We came in close to closing and felt bad but everyone was so so sweet and accommodating and the owner gave us his recommendations. Everything we got was amazing! I got the brisket and ribs and I haven’t had ribs this outstanding in YEARS. This was such a wonderful experience especially after the long day of hiking and traveling we had. When we visit NC again this is definitely on our list!

This restaurant was quite different on this visit from past visits. The food is still excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the atmosphere is much less cozy and inviting than on past visits. The restaurant seems more geared to take-out.

Stopped here on our way back from the falls. The chicken wings were fantastic, BIG, juicy and sauced well! My 10 year old ordered the kids rib plate and it was a huge portion! The salad bar had a lot of variety (peas, hard boiled eggs, beets, baby corn, imitation crab, black olives, ham, cheeses, pickles, etc) but the plate size is small. The BBQ sauce (Lexington sauce) is now my new favorite, not too spicy (I like heat) but a nice flavor. The collard greens were bland and the corn nuggets (deep fried cream of sweet corn) were great! Sweet is sweet and hospitality was wonderful! I even ordered an extra pint of sauce to go! Glad we stopped by, it's a good price and you get a lot of food, you won't leave hungry!

Fantastic BBQ. Wonderful service. A little pricey, but well worth it! The hush puppies are the best I’ve had in a long long time. The ribs were too!!

Our family of 10 had the BEST experience! We sat out on the patio and had a wonderful server that did us right! Food was soooo good and everything came out fast and hot. We will definitely be back.

We sat outside on a Friday night and the weather was perfect for the patio. We arrived at 6pm and there was no wait for the outside seating. We had a wonderful server who was extremely nice and attentive. Our food was EXCELLENT! They had the best okra I've had since granny made it!! We had a party of 5 and we all got something different and everyone said everything was great! There was a gentleman (possibly manager or owner) who also came around to make sure everything was good and we were taken care of. He was really nice as well. We will definitely return! It was nice venturing outside of Hickory and Morganton to a fabulous locally owned restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went for the first time on a Friday night. We were sat quickly, our waitress was very attentive and we did not wait long for our food. We ordered chips and salsa/queso to start and were surprised how good these were! The salsa was perfect. We both ordered a burger with fries, and I suggest adding their burger sauce! It was amazing and I’ve been thinking about that burger for three days. The fries were amazing and their portions are very generous. We can’t wait to come back! Prices were extremely reasonable, our bill was less than 35$ for two people. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved it. So much so I just had to report, i mean recommend them....LOL! It's that good to me. The entire experience. I ordered the patty melt with my choice of protein being a house made veggie patty, a salad and wine. When I say that patty melt was everything and more.......I MEAN IT! We will definitely return for more goodness!

We enjoyed each of our meals; chicken, burgers, fries... Service was fast and friendly. All locally sourced foods in our meals. At 4:30, we were the 2nd table seated and by 5, the place was nearly full.

3.5 / 5 Disappointed they ran out of dough (it happens). Appetizers we good, but the nachos needed the picked onions (which we added from the meat and cheese plate). Burger was solid, service was above average. The spaghetti and meatballs special (which we had to ask for, wasn't mentioned) was odd. Flavor was off and had an overwhelming flavor undertone that didn't seem to fit. The meatballs were fair but dry. Marinara was thick and past its prime. Super cool place (downtown diner feel with lots of period antiques) that I am sure we will give another shot.

Unfortunately, I have to say this. We came in around 6:30 pm tonight, not too terribly busy, was told to sit down at a table (the three of us, boyfriend, little brother and me) and we had waters down pretty quickly. Our server was decent with keeping up with waters and took our orders quickly. We didn't see food until 7:20 but that's not terrible as we weren't in a hurry. My brother and I both ordered the Titan burgers, him with two patties and mine with one and they were all three raw when we ordered medium. I did not get a picture of my little brothers but my first one was the first raw patty picture. The bun was soggy from a runny white but still had a firm yolk from the egg which made things a little more unappetizing after we had the patties sent back. Now comments can go either way but it felt like it was directed towards me but when she came to collect the patties she said "must've been a misunderstanding of definitions." I'm a cook, baker, and server, I know to always give the front of house a second shot as kitchen is their own thing and what happens is not them. I also know what it means to say the right things with clarification without making comments to guest or kitchen. This comment did not come across well. The meat could be smeared and squished and all three patties were vaguely warm in the middle. She brought new patties and my little brother who is 14 and diabetic was excited to eat but when he cut his open, it was still way more rare than medium as you can see in the third and fourth pictures. Again, patties were steaming but it was kind of warm in the middle, nowhere close to hot enough, and I could smear the meat. I chose to just take the check and damage and go somewhere else as my little brother lost all appetite and we went to Wendy's instead for him. I hate to see this on restaurants and I am always on the server and the cooks side on giving them a second shot but this was not what I was expecting. I was offered something else on the menu but I was no longer hungry. My little brothers burger was taken off of the check even though he ate more of the toppings and fries than I did but I'm not pushing for money back or such, it's just important to know what your definitions are, how comments come across, and too check your temperature when there have been E. Coli breakouts with ground beef recently. Be careful out there and maybe let these guys fix some things for a minute.

Street parking was easy to find when we went for dinner. Restaurant had a good atmosphere. They have a lot of vegetarian options. Good cocktails available. Margarita pizza was excellent. My friend had the Woodstock pizza and it was the closest thing to a "salad pizza" we have ever had in our lives. There was no cheese and it left a lot to be desired. Lesson learned. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Food came quickly. I would visit again.

Food was great and we loved the vintage feel in the restaurant. They had an NA beer option too which was fantastic for me.

Absolutely beautiful home turned restaurant. The decor is perfect with each room having its own unique theme. The staff was so very friendly and professional. The drinks AMAZING. The food- 10/10. We were a group of 6 and all of us loved our drinks and food and feel everything was well priced for the wonderful experience and quality of items.

I had a delightful time eating Brunch at the Blanton House today. When we arrived, we were seated promptly and were put we had requested to be seated. Our server came out as soon as we were seated, and prepared us with water. She was very attentive and came back every couple minutes to check on us. The food arrived shortly after we ordered it, and it was quality; definitely worth the price. I got French Toast and it was superb. Being in a old house from Circa.1910, the atmosphere was incredible and nice to be around. I highly recommend this place if in the Marion area.

How can I even possibly begin to rate such an incredible group of individuals?! This team gave my husband and I the most beautiful wedding day. Our original wedding had to be postponed because of Helene and our original venue caused us heartache. We were honestly thinking of just eloping and calling the ceremony off. That's when Chenille and her team swooped in and mended two very broken hearts. We made sure to stop in and enjoy the menu twice before the big day, and each time we were so impressed. We knew we made the right decision! The generosity/hospitality were unlike anything I have experienced before. The food, incredible. (Crab cakes, Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans) The drinks, delicious. The staff, marvelous!! This venue was so much more than I ever imagined for myself. Making for some of the most breathtaking photos I have ever had the privilege to be part of. I know I will never be able to convey how much one place and a group of individuals can mean to us. However, the gratitude I have in my heart for them will last an eternity. Thank you for being such a wonderful memory to our previously shattered wedding experience, for putting our broken pieces back together. And mostly, for restoring our faith in humanity. This is southern hospitality at its finest! We can't wait to get back there soon, the beignets are calling our names! Love you Blanton House Staff!

My boyfriend planned a sweet date night in our weekend getaway because Blantons reminded of him of our first date spot in Raleigh, Second Empire (excellent, top tier service, phenomenal responses times, and delicious food in an old house). To say we were disappointed is a complete understatement. My boyfriend had booked the balcony for us, come to find out they aren’t seating the balcony when we check in with the hostess. Following that, we were sat upstairs, yes, I understand it is an old house with no AC, but we had been waiting for 10 minutes before stopping someone to ask for water because it was so hot….unfortunately, it just goes down hill from here. We ask for biscuits (not listed as its own appetizer on the menu), and we are essentially told no. We would have been willing to pay the price of the charcuterie board to get biscuits. I have been a server and the fact that Lucy didn’t even try was sadly disappointing. Anyways, we choose a different appetizer that is shortly being delivered to a table right beside us. They say it’s not theirs, we try and get the food runners attention (we are maybe 5ft from him), he COMPLETELY IGNORES and starts talking the table he tried to give our appetizers too saying he recognized them from earlier when he was walking around town. It was a complete, embarrassing disaster on Blantons end….I think they may need some new attentive employees. I don’t want to neglect the fact that our server has three tables in the same small room. She passes multiple times NOT checking on us, asking us if we wanted (to increase our tab) another round of drinks. Nope, absolutely nothing. Again, I have previous serving experience at a high volume place in Blowing Rock and I completely sadden by the service and personnel here. To close it all out, we waited at least an hour for two dinners. If you are reading this review, I HIGHLY advise you do not entertain a dinner at this place unless you like to be neglected, have slow and inattentive services, and wait hours for your food when the restaurant is not just. Again, this is my perspective and experience from being in the service industry 10+ years. I think this place needs new staff and management. On the bright side, the food was good and served hot. 10/10 recommend the fried chicken!

Blanton House is a wonderful addition to Marion. The beauty and preservation of the home is really special. You can have a different experience on multiple visits just by the room you choose. The bar has a cozy and elevated feel. The food was extremely delicious. Favorites were the tomato bisque (so flavorful!) the fried gnocchi (a must have!) and the southern egg rolls (yum!!). Our server Jasmine was a sweetheart too. Can’t wait to go back and try brunch!

We went to the Blanton house for a Saturday dinner with friends. The house and grounds are beautiful. I could easily see this location as a beautiful wedding/reception location. Menu was small but with a powerful selection of choices. We started with a round of cocktails including espresso martinis . Our appetizers were the bread service and the southern egg rolls. For dinner we had a wide selection duck, pork chops, fillet, gnocchi,and linguine and mussels. Food was plated very well and service was timely and severed hot. Food and service were first class. If I had to be picking it would be with the duck confiet. The duck portion seemed undersized to me and a few of the beans were hard. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back. This is a perfect place for a special night out.

What a fabulous place! I have been watching the renovations and was so excited when I heard it was going to be a restaurant. The building is divided up into rooms, dining rooms, patio and balconies. There is a beautiful bar right off the entrance. The beautiful staircase is perfect for a picture. 👌 We sat in Dining Room II which overlooks the patio, very nice. Service was excellent! We ordered the crab soup which was delicious with big chunks of crab . As entrees shrimp & grits, salmon over Hoppin John both were excellent quality and tasty. The drinks from the bar were perfect👌. The bathrooms are beautiful! We were invited to tour the restaurant after our meal, I included shots of the rooms. This place will be a new favorite for my husband and I.

The Frankendilla is so delicious and flavorful. Steak was PERFECTLY cooked; tender with every bite, and the other proteins were cooked to perfection. I didnt order anything else and I won't need to. When I'm in town again, the Frankendilla is the only choice for me from the menu. 😀 Atmosphere was alright. Service was the lowest star. There were only 2 women on staff up front. Took forever to get water. And then the water was never refilled again and never checked back on. Had to raise my hand for attention. Although the food came out hot and delicious, it took OVER AN HOUR for 2 quesadillas. If you plan to stop here, just expect a long wait for your water service, and then another loooonger wait for your food to come to your table. Eat a snack before you get here because if you show up hungry, you might get hangry over the wait time. Otherwise, if you stick around, the food does come out delicious, and I would return for this amazing Frankendilla. 😀

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Burrito Bros with my wife, and I can confidently say that it has become our go-to spot for lunch. The food is absolutely amazing; we've never been disappointed during our visits. What truly sets Burrito Bros apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, often bringing us refills before we even have to ask. It's that kind of thoughtful service that makes dining here a delightful experience. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between a casual sports vibe and a nicely decorated space, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. Whether you're a fan of burritos or just looking for a great place to eat, I highly recommend checking out Burrito Bros. You won't regret it!

We’re so happy we discovered this place! We were in the parking lot about to go skating at Marion Hot Wheelz and realized we were hungry, Burrito Bros was conveniently right there. Very cool environment, delicious food, and friendly service. Leroy was super nice. I got the Baja Shrimp Tacos & my husband got the Chimi, both really good. My family that was in town loved their food as well. We are looking forward to coming back and continuing trying different menu items!

Definitely don’t order by DoorDash. They don’t really pay attention to your order. Twice I’ve asked for pineapple to be in the burrito and there is none and the only way it ever ends up in there is if I call them after I place the DoorDash order and I shouldn’t have to do that. I called and spoke with a manager there and they did nothing to rectify this. If I end up spending $25 for a burrito, I think they should get the order right. This has happened more than once so now I know anytime I place an order there to call them. I’d rather find someplace else to go though if they repeatedly can’t get the order right.

All of our dishes had burnt meat. The most horrible food we have ever had. 45 minutes wait. How can anyone give this place more than one star. Kids chicken strips extremely dry. The only good thing was the chips. Salsa bar was dirty.

Sadly, this place has gone to crap over the last year. Between the service being absolutely ridiculous, and the food portions continually shrinking, they're no longer on our go to list. Definitely do not recommend.

You wanna tacos, they gotta tacos? First, I like the atmosphere, not too loud, but not quiet either. Just right. Food digests better when you're relaxed and though they do have catch music playing, it still gives off a chill and relaxed vibe. The establishment is kept very clean. The staff is courteous, friendly, and informative. The food is delicious, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients, and you can feel it really. The menu is streamlined. For tacos, they offer 3 main tacos plates, and you get the choice of meat and flour or corn tortilla. I don't doubt you can customize, but I do recommend trying one of the plates with the combination of ingredients they originally setup on the menu because some times people really have great ideas about what tastes great together. The Tacos 101 plate is very similar to how I make my tacos at home, with a few variations and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the flavors. I highly recommend this place and I will be back.

I am a Marion local so have been an Ingenious fan for a long time, but we had their team make us wedding favors for our wedding and they turned out wonderfully. The pricing was reasonable (especially given the current changing prices with coffee) and they were easy to work with. Our friends and family commented on good the coffee was, which we already knew of course! They make some of the best flavored coffees I've had as well, and it's easy to order a couple of pounds online when we need to replenish our stock since we live out of state.

Unbelievably nice staff (family owned), tasty espresso/coffee drinks and very laid back vibe. Front and back of house are in the same space which is very neato. Staff is back measuring and grinding beans stored in burlap bags! They've got a few couches and tables inside and out. Lots of outlets if you wanna do some work too. Worth a stop.

Great coffee selection with a variety of in house roasted flavors and grinds. A bright and peaceful atmosphere with seating that meets any preference. The whole team is friendly and helpful. A local favorite and worth the trip from out of town. Pastries are 😋 yummy! Teas are available. Wifi accommodations are available for business and pleasure.

Spectacular coffee, unique ambiance, delicious baked goods, and great service combine to make a small town gem of a coffee shop which I highly recommend! I loved the invention theme of this coffee shop, it was something I’ve never seen the like of. The blown up diagrams of patents was unique and engaging. Then the shop expands into their roasting area where you can see bulk beans and equipment. The workers were very helpful and the coffee was rich and delicious. I had one of their Orange cinnamon rolls and it was top notch- excellent orange flavored icing on top with a gooey cinnamon inside. There’s ample tables for seating and even a piano and guitar, in addition to their little gift shop section. This is a place I can’t recommend highly enough that you visit- you’ll come away with a great experience, educated and hopped up on excellent coffee. 6 stars if that were possible.

What a gem of a place! The store is way bigger than it looks. The back portion of the coffee shop is the roasting area. They offer a very wide variety of roasts and they offer shipping. The store is very cute and relaxing. Plenty of seating area and a couch. The staff makes a great latte! So happy we visited this place.

Delighted by my experience here today. The staff is both incredibly knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They roast onsight and are happy to show you the process and talk about all things coffee. I will come back here time and time again. So happy I found this place and can't wait to get back there.

Wonderful hometown coffee joint with the friendliest barista. The cold brew was smooth and delicious. A number of options for iced and hot coffees. Small variety of sweet snacks.

We waited 30 minutes on a Saturday night. We tried the French dip and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were just OK. The French bread needed to be baked longer. The Mac n cheese was dry, but the loaded baked potato was good. The side salads and broccoli salad were good. The smokehouse burger was ok. The bayou pasta did not have very much flavor. The best was our appetizers. We tried the garlic cheese curds and the roasted street corn dip. Our waitress was sweet but brought us the wrong desserts (twice) and forgot the coffee. I would definitely come back and try some other menu items.

My wife and I went here for lunch, and it was good. We were greeted and seated quickly. Faith, the waitress, was very professional and courteous. She also moved fast in getting us our food, drinks, and condiments. She came back consistently to refill our drinks and checked to see if we needed anything else. The food was great, and the environment was calm and relaxing. We were skeptical at first after some negative reviews, but we went to see for ourselves instead of listening to a bunch of "negative Nancy's." Me and my wife even laughed at some of the owner's replies to the negative comments. They were hilarious and correct. If we have a chance, we'll be back.

Wait was not long. Sarah provided excellent service for out table and smiled the whole time. Got NY steak and low country bowl. My friend and I shared our plates. Food was fantastic. House salad was filling in its self. We're passing through but if ever in the area would definitely consider returning. Bathrooms were very clean which I really appreciate

I've eaten @ Bobby Flay's place & had his Steakhouse burger which was delicious. J Hartmans Steakhouse Burger outdid Bobby Flay's burger! The sauce & the onions put it over the top. If you eat here you must try the gouda mac & cheese! Wonderful!. Hot crab dip was amazing! We didn't have anything that wasn't great. Mr. Hartman stopped @ our table & made us feel like family. Thanks for a wonderful Birthday meal!

We had a coconut cake for our wedding, in addition to gourmet cupcakes (key lime, strawberries and cream, double chocolate). They were all amazing! The staff are so warm and friendly. It's nice to support a local, family-owned joint versus the typical chain restaurants. Thank you!

Wow, this place is so good. The food was top notch, the staff were super friendly (loved the young guy up front, he was great), and the atmosphere was so charming. Loved that they had a little play spot of play food and kids tables for my toddler, that was a huge hit. We tried different things, I got the loaded fries which were absolutely delicious, highly recommend those. My husband got the pulled pork plate and my son got the kids chicken tenders. All very good. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

My friends and I went on a bbq tour of North Carolina/Tennessee and this was hands down THE best food we experienced in both states. Every time we went in there was at least one of the owners there to greet us, check on us, and have a full blown conversation with us. All the employees and locals were so friendly and recommended places to eat and things to do in the area. We went back to this restaurant 3 times in our 9 day trip and every single time it was stellar food and their customer service came with that good southern charm. We will be coming back and we certainly will spread the word about how spectacular this place was.

I got the pulled pork plate and there was tons of pork for the price. It was good. They have four choices of sauce and they are all good. There is no table service and no sweet tea. The baked beans are straight out of the can, hush puppies are definitely from a freezer bag and the Mac & Cheese is not recommended.

The food was phenomenal. We got the Whole Farm loaded with fries and all the toppings. It was more than enough for 2 people. Tried all 5 of their sauces and all were delicious. Great atmosphere and the owner came out to make sure we were pleased with everything. The only thing we don’t like is that we live 4 hours away and can’t come back regularly.

Best Barbecue we’ve had in a long time. The brisket beef tips were soooooooo tasty! We had a loaded platter topped with delicious pork. Friendly owner and staff. We had a lovely time talking about the history of Marion and all the new exciting changes occurring here in our wonderful little town. You won’t leave here hungry.

Stopped in on our way home from Pigeon Forge. It was our first time here. We were pleasantly surprised. Service was good, the food was good. They make their sauces in house and smoke all their meat in house. If you are in the area or passing through like us give them a try. It’s not to far off interstate 40. It will be worth it!

Our group did a barbeque tour of North Carolina and sadly we started with this place, so the rest of our tour was extremely disappointing. The food here is made with love and passion, we came here 3 times in 9 days tried everything on the menu, and not a single time was it below amazing. The owners interact with you, and it is clear they love what they do. The locals are ridiculously friendly and happy to help you find other spots as long as you know this one is the best. I doubt we're even capable of finding a better spot in North Carolina, and when we come back down this way it will always be a guaranteed stop. If I could give it 6 stars I would on every single regard. The atmosphere is incredible, with vibrant murals and colors on all the walls, it really feels like the owners made it their own and it isn't some simple restaurant but somebodies full heart put into something they love.

Recently opened and very nice with a perfect score sanitation rating, the folks are friendly, 18 beer selections and a small menu of good food.

This place is clearly a local dining destination that enjoys serving its patrons. They have a cheesecake offering that numbers north of 100+ varieties. The coconut chocolate version tastes like an Almond Joy! I heartily recommend the Reuben sandwich with the Mustang (kick off horseradish) Cole slaw. The hostess of this establishment is quite a personality and service, which is prompt and efficient, comes with a side dish of attitude. A neat local dining option that is memorable.

We stumbled upon this place on our way out of town and it was so good. The food is unique and so delicious! We had the chicken salad melt with cucumber salad as a side, and then the Philly cheesesteak (add pimento cheese) and the pasta salad. It’s hard to pick a favorite because it was all SO good but we highly recommend adding the pimento cheese to something and getting the pasta salad for a side!

Stopped here on our ride from NC to FL, and service was very quick which helped us out. Very homey atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Seems like they specialize in cheesecake but our food had everyone very impressed and saying their order was the best :) they have vegetarian/ vegan options. A must-try!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! We happened upon this place due to the reviews and so glad we did! Bruce and his wife both waited on our table and were so friendly and genuine. Cheesecake is included in your meal with tons of different flavors. He has 38 flavors of hummus. The pimento cheese is to die for! Tuesdays are potato specials. They are only open M-F for lunch! Definitely try this gem!

We visited Bruce’s today for the first time and can’t wait to return! From the fun decor to homey/casual feel to the warm smiles and fantastic service, it’s a wonderful place to grab a bite and stay a while. Bruce spoke to every customer at least once while I was there, making sure everyone was fed, happy and taken care of! I had the Grilled Cheesesteak Wrap (at his suggestion) with a side of pasta salad, my fiancé had the taco salad, and they wouldn’t let us out the door without reminding us to choose from their dessert menu! Portions were generous and the food was so very yummy. Friendliest service and some of the best food (for a reasonable price) I’ve had in a long time. We will go out of our way to visit here in the future- it’s Diners-Drive ins-and Dives quality!

This decent size restaurant has a large menu. The staff were attentive and friendly. The seasoning and quality of food was a let down. The chile relleno seemed to be dried and dehydrated before it was cooked - there was no texture to the poblano pepper. The salsa bar was a nice option to compliment most food.

Nice people and great service. We went on a Saturday night and to our surprise it was not busy like the Morganton location. The food is just as good and the people were really nice as well. We will be back.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced in North Carolina. Decided to try this place for the first time. I ordered a burrito with ground beef lettuce tomato rice and cheese. Ordered a Mr pib and got a Diet Coke. I tell the server who claimed to be the manager as well. He says sorry you’re correct. I’m not charging for it. I got to pay my bill and notice the charge for the burrito is still on so I tell the girl at the register what had happened and that I’m ok for paying for half. She did not seem to know what I was talking about so she went to get the server. He comes back looks at my receipt and crumples it up and tosses it to the trash and gives me another receipt this one with a 9 dollar auto tip on it. I tell him why is this now even more money than the first he says because our tip is automatic. FYI full price for burrito still on there. I tell him I want my original receipt he says he’s not looking in trash so he takes the 2nd receipt and gives me another for 69 now we are almost 20 over the original receipt. I tell him I want my original receipt he says he’s not looking for it again. He tells me I can leave with out paying for any of it. I tell him I’m not walking out with out paying, so I can be accused of stealing food. Finally he gives me a receipt for the original amount I was asked to pay. I pay it he says don’t ever come back. I tell him don’t worry I won’t.

Okay so this place is amazing. I couldn't believe how much food I received with my order and it was delicious! So much food for the price (which is pretty cheap). Also the strawberry margarita I ordered was perfect! I was here visiting and I will definitely eat here every time I'm in the area. Clean atmosphere, amazing food, and super friendly staff.

I went tonight and the shrimp I received was overcooked to the point of being inedible. It was brought to the attention of the server who removed the food from the table. He was not instructed to do so. He asked if I wanted it to be made again but I declined based on the experience so far. It was taken away. The server did not return for another 15-20 minutes. He brought the bill which had that meal on the bill. I told her girl working the register that I didn't eat the meal because it was overcooked and she said "I don't know to remove it right now" and repeated the total. I refused again and she got a manager. He was rude from the start, arrogant in how he spoke to myself and my fiance. When I described the issue with the meal, he said that he personally looked at it and told us "that's how I like it". I was told that it wasn't his problem if he threw it away because I didn't want it. If I had asked for it to be remade, would I have been expected to buy two of those meals? Or had I asked for something else, would I have been expected to pay for both? I wasn't even given the option to take it home to give to the dog because the server took it away without us asking him to do so. The food was poorly prepared, taken without my permission and thrown away, and I'm still expected to pay without even an apology for the bad experience. I will never return to this or the Morganton store after this visit.

This was just an amazing place. Great atmosphere, wonderful waitress, huge portions and excellent food. Even had a salsa bar.

Not good. Ordered 2 orders of fajitas and the meat was tiny and scarce. I had to dig for a couple minutes to find enough chicken to fill my tortillas. I had the chicken fajitas which are on the menu as chicken peppers and onions, but there was tomato and mushrooms in mine which I would have ordered without had it been listed. The sides for the fajitas were the most disgusting of all. They were filled with pools of green murky water that made everything in the container inedible. Will not return.

I really liked to eat here but I will never go back. They messed our food up twice last night. Then gave my Fiancés food to the table beside us. I watched the guy mess with it with his fork. He then told them it wasn't his. They went to the back and came right back and gave it to my fiancé. When I asked if it was the plate they just took from the table beside us they actually said yes we sent it to the wrong table. We were shocked. I told them that was absolutely ridiculous, nasty, and unprofessional. Needless to say we got up and left and will never return.

They have a very expansive menu selection to choose from. I was brought the wrong dish but before I could let them know they realized the mistake and brought mine out and switched it. The food was not terrible but definitely has room for improvement. Their was no bold flavor or taste just kinda bland. The service was good until we were leaving and I had to wait atleast 10, almost 15 minutes up front to pay for our meal.

Hook and Anchor is a great seafood place. Wd were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted a booth or table with chairs. The waitress was nice and took drink orders right away. She also placed a complementary fresh hot tray of hush puppies on the table. After a short while reading the menu, she returned to take our order. Food was brought out I. It was a very short time. Plenty to eat on each plate and taste was very good. The sides were average in size. But we really enjoyed the food. I noticed a buffet like that was not set up. The host told me that was served on Sundays as all you can eat.

We’ve ate there many times during lunch for buffet and always had great food but dinner was disappointing to say the least. The coctail sauce had gone bad it almost made me instantly sick. The only thing worth eating tonight was the fries 🤢 Definitely won’t be back

It wasn't too busy for a Sunday evening. We ordered the salad. The big salad is huge. Take it into consideration. We should have. 🤣 The seafood platter was delish. The hush puppies are good. Sharing plates is not a problem. The service is great. Prices were about what we expected and the sweet tea is on pointe. Will definitely be back!

Buffet closed.. Default food is fried, not my preference. The scallops (not breaded/fried) were perfect. The catfish & Alaska white were cooked well. Their hushpuppies were nothing like I have seen before and were great. Corey is a great server and went overboard to make sure we were fas & happy. The music choice for dining room was just right.

How you imagine an all American burger place to be. Kringle cut fries were crispy, the burger was full of flavor. The dining room could use to be refreshed. Lots of noticeable wear and tear like any well loved place. Staff was very attentive and polite. Looking forward to trying a milkshake next time. Great for a quick bite and families with children.

Nice atmosphere. Affordable prices. After spending the afternoon at the nearby state park this was the perfect stop to get a hamburger.

All I can say is wow! The first impression was not too good. Notice it was not very clean as soon as we walked in. It was later in the day around 6. So we gave them the benifit of the doubt and just thought maybe it had just been real busy that day. We ordered 2 cheesteaks with tots and we also orderd a cheeseburger with tots and as you see in the pic the tots with each meal were so over cooked they were not edible at all. They were so bad that it had to be impossible for someone not to know they were way over cooked but they brought them to the table anyways and that is what really bothered me the most and tells you alot about this place. Would suggest not taking a gamble on this place as we did and try your luck else where

What I got for $10 was pathetic. Although the grilled tenders were good, server didn't bring a knife for them. Apparently she was too busy socializing and texting. The coleslaw was more soup than slaw, and the miniscule amount of fries was laughable. I'm not sure I'll be back, very disappointed in meal and service... Or lack thereof of both.

Lol well I ordered the hamburger steak and tator tots .....and I got ....umm it looks like someone else's plate ...as it looks as though someone had cut up the steak to start eating it and they put a tiny cup of gravey in there ...but decided it didn't need a lid so it dumped out all in to someone's coleslaw.....and I guess they decideded to eat the tots cuz they were no where to be found.. needless to say...I didn't even think about eating someone else's food...and next time I think ill go else where with my money......Enjoy!

The last 3 times I have ordered there it has been terrible. The slaw is not as good as it used to be.. My bread was a hotdog bun. Fries are either over done or not done. The food comes in a small tray and not the black plastic ones. They replaced a shrimp platter for me. When I got there to get my food the manager looked at the platter and said that's not going out. So I waited another 15 or so minutes for another platter that wasn't any good either. Not to mention the place was nasty. Unless I see the reviews get better I won't be back.

Good food but the atmosphere could have been better. The servers were less than attentive. They were yelling personal conversations across the restaurant, which to me was very unprofessional. One server sat at the counter vaping. It was almost as if the customers weren't even there. Like I said, the food was good but it wasn't a satisfying lunch for me.

From out of town and with my gal pals. Oscar did an amazing job at making sure our needs were met & keeping everything going smoothly. He was friendly and great smile. Jose made sure our food came out hot and just like him all of the staff was having a great time being there. The decor was fun! Food was excellent and of course the mango margarita with sugar rim was the fruit on top. Highly recommend!!!

We went tubing up on the other side of Asheville and one of our friends recommended trying this place. We're glad we did! We had a group of roughly 14 people with us and still had great service! My wife got the Burrito California and I got the Chicken and Spinach Burrito. We also got a side of guacamole and a Street Elote(corn on the cob). The food came out very fast and was piping hot. Both burritos were very big and packed full of delicious ingredients. The guacamole is the creamy kind, but was still good and the salsa bar had multiple types of salsa on it to please everyone. Overall it all was very good and I'm glad we stopped to try it! The regular salsa was just ok, but the salsa bar was made up for it! The cheese dip was good too that some of the others got. Prices were great as well! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area! Highly recommend you give them a try!

We stopped by this Mexican restaurant because the Japanese spot we wanted was closed. The service was fast — they took our drink orders right away, which was nice. We ordered some guacamole as an appetizer and then our meals. I got the ACP Tex Loco (ACP with veggies, steak, shrimp, and chicken over rice with cheese sauce) and street corn. My partner got the Pastor Quesadilla — the meat was actually flavorful but it looked like just a normal soft taco, not a quesadilla. Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. The shrimp were overcooked, the dishes lacked flavor and seasoning, and my cheese sauce was barely there. The street corn was mostly bland, with just a tiny bit of mayo and a sprinkle of Tajín, and the guacamole wasn’t mixed — mushy avocado slices with some cilantro and a side of grilled onions (which was unusual). Overall, the meal was underwhelming and sad, and we won’t be returning

I took my 5 year old son on a mother son date. The staff are super friendly and they recognize you if you go semi regularly. My kids love the fun and beautiful paintings on the booths and chairs.

Pretty disappointed. For almost $40 for a steak, I do expect what I order to be correct. The salads were half made up of lettuce that should have already been thrown out. I ordered a sirloin with garlic butter and mushrooms. My husband ordered a strip with horseradish glaze and potatoes. When they came out we got a sirloin with horseradish and potatoes, and a strip with mushrooms and garlic butter. We told them it was incorrect. They took it in the back and swapped the plates around to theoretically be correct. They did not remake our food even though the steaks had the incorrect toppings. I know that for two reasons: it came back out too quick to have been recooked and my steak still had potatoes on the bottom of it. We both ordered our steaks medium, mine was basically well done. My husband said his was okay in the middle, but overcooked the further he got from the center. He also said there was an entire clove of garlic in his potatoes, as in he literally bit into and ate an entire clove. A new cook doesn’t excuse incorrect food. We would have gladly waited for it to be remade correctly. Service was fine, nothing really good or bad either way about it.

When my husband and I stopped here to eat, it was our first time ever in Marion and to the restaurant. We didn't realize that there was a festival going on in town. The restaurant had a limited menu due to the festival. We both ordered the cheeseburger and it was delicious! Very, very good! Oakley, our server, was very pleasant and nice to chat with. If we're in the area again, we will definitely stop here to eat again!

We happened on this gem in Marion NC while traveling. The menu is varied so anyone can find anything from fish, beef, pizza, salads. The bar selections are good and the service is great. I had the French onion soup and the spinach/cheese pizza.

We were looking for a new place in town to try and one of the workers was outside and invited us in and shared some "kid friendly" items that weren't directly listed on the menu. The food and service were great we will be back again! I love that they had single use towels in the washroom for hand drying from the eco friendly and down home feel.

The best burgers anywhere, I go there for the amazing burgers but most times I get redirected to the unbelievable daily specials. The chef, who I believe to be the owner, is a true culinary artist. My favorite place to dine here in the foothills.

We have been longing to come here to try the crab cakes, and were very disappointed. The speakers were loud, the servers had to almost yell out to us when ordering, the table was sticky and it reeked with the smell of stale alcohol. I ordered the crab cakes $34 with a small selection of sides to offer nothing impressive about the crab cakes tolerable at best and very small, my husband ordered the Maui sandwich and said that it was descent. Never coming back again that is for sure! I am really not sure how they received the reviews that they got must be from folks who have never had great crab cakes.

After viewing the menu Asian Ribs was 26 dollars with 2 sides. I got the bill and was charged 7 dollars for each side that 14 dollars plus 26...thats 40 plus drink was 45 dollars after taxes. The meat looked like you glued the fat upagianst the bone and meat it was tough as nails. Someone with dentures couldnt eat it. The slaw tasted like they washed it in cleaner. In the middle was carrot strips with slaw it was covered in vinegar like soup. The green beans were the best but 2 bites. I mean really ? I went to narras..take out for 12 dollars.

First time here, but will be back when in the area. I am not a pizza fan normally, but this is the first pizza to ever make me rethink that. Service to seat and serve was prompt and welcoming! Building clean and employees actively keeping things that way.

Pepperonis is the best place for pizza in McDowell county. If you go make sure you try the desert pizza as well! It might be diabetes on a plate but it’s wonderful!

This place is the best pizza place in town, bar none! The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, if Izzi is making your food, it is bound to be awesome. Can't say enough nice things about this location.

My husband loves all the Pepperonis locations for what else : their Pepperoni pizza. Not being a pizza fanatic I’ve been reluctant to try the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by their menu containing salads, subs and pasta dishes. I tried the Alfredo Chicken and it was good. I prefer blackened chicken and this wasn’t but I really enjoyed it anyway. I’d definitely go back. I even tried the pizza and it was tasty to someone who’s not a pizza fan so that says a lot. I’d definitely recommend over Pizza Hut down the street!!!! The interior had some cute touches(see pix) and very clean. Waitress was on top of it all and they were Busy! They also do delivery I’m told. Enjoyable experience!!

We have driven by this place so many times and today we finally tried it. Almost every table was full which was a good sign. We ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, mushroom pizza and a calizone (mozzarella and ricotta). Both were delicious! The staff stayed on top of the lunch crowd and were sweet. An additional bonus, the bathrooms were clean 👍. Great all around we will definitely be stopping in more often.

The Time 2:00 pm on a Saturday. The Order: 7 inch personal "The Good Stuff", Garlic Knots, and a bottomless sweet tea. My server, Brittany was wonderful, my appetizer came from the kitchen quickly and my drink remained full my entire visit. My Bill was $15 and change. Lets get into it. The Food: Despite the name Pepperoni's their menu was anything but a one note specialist. they had a variety of options that wouldn't be out of place in a Gourmet Pizza Kitchen in a big city. As Mentioned Previously I got "The Good Stuff". which has an Olive Oil base, Fresh Spinach, Tomatoes, Feta Cheese, Red Onions, & Artichoke Hearts with a drizzle of Balsamic Vinaigrette. The Garlic Knots are what you'd expect a twist of bread with garlic butter and salt served with a side of Pizza Sauce to dip. And of course, Sweet Tea. which I thought was just right not too sweet but not under-sweet either. Atmosphere: Despite being in a structure that shares a storefront with another business, The interior was well appointed and had a small town homey feel. The Ambiance in the dining room was somewhat dim, but not dark. And Fat men Rejoice; the Tables at the booth's weren't bolted to the floor so you can stick the skinny relative on the other side and slide the table toward them so that the dad bod isn't getting squished and several tables were available that had chairs rather than boots for those like me who are a little bit extra. Despite a superior menu I enjoyed myself here it felt like the place to take the soccer team after the game win or lose rather than feeling like a place where you had to keep the kids quiet, as a Family man these environments are especially important to me.

We stopped in while traveling back from the mountains, looking for something simple for the kids—good pizza, a clean place, and a friendly atmosphere—and this spot went above and beyond our expectations! Our waitress was so kind, and the owner personally greeted us when we arrived and again before we left, which really spoke volumes about the kind of place this is. The pizza was outstanding—the crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings and cheese stayed in place, and every bite was delicious. The warm bread served before the meal was such a nice touch too. We only wish we lived closer because we’d be regulars here! But we’ll definitely be stopping back in on our next trip to western NC.

Firstly, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Super impressed there. Food was good and seemed very fresh. I was impressed with the chunky vegetables in my pasta. The complimentary bread smelled great however was not quite cooked completely and 1 end was doughy. All in all, it was a great experience. Great service is hard to find.

First time here. Was blown away by everything. Service was phenomenal. She was helpful with suggestions and very attentive without being overbearing. Food was excellent, original Stromboli was best I've had. With and daughter had chicken Alfredo the Alfredo sauce was the best we've had in a restaurant in a while however, the chicken could definitely use some seasoning. It just seemed to be plain grilled chicken. It was good but a good seasoning would put the dish over the top. They ran out of pizza slices so he made daughter a personal pizza she really liked it. We all had leftovers. We will definitely be back.

Todd and Connie Campbell recommended this place when my family was looking for a tasty, local Italian restaurant. We got the lunch special and got two giant slices of pizza for cheap. It was perfectly cooked and not greasy. Highly recommend.

We recently moved to the area and found this place while getting gas and what an amazing find! The bread and butter they bring out is so good. I got one of the specials, the Italian Grilled Cheese with bacon and a salad, and my husband got the tortellini with meat sauce. We finished dinner off with a slice of cheesecake. This place is amazing! This will definitely be our new date place. Can’t wait to try everything else they have.😋❤️

Our second visit to Luisa's. We enjoyed it so well our first visit, so we went out of our way while traveling to go back. Not disappointed! My wife particularly likes the pasta puttanesca. I favored the carbonara.

Food was delicious and prices reasonable. I expected more from our appetizer they were bland. Bread they serve is so yummy but be careful it was very hot to the touch. Pasta and salads were large and delicious. Next time we’re trying the pizza. Staff was super friendly.

I'm new to the area and I was missing a favorite restaurant of mine where I'm from. I googled Greek food near me and Bantam popped up. It's not a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant, but they do have a chicken gyro that is absolutely delicious! It's so good that I no longer miss the restaurant back home! The people that work there are fabulous, down home friendly! Service is awesome! The prices are even better! The only I would change is the fries. They're not bad, just bigger than what I like with a gyro. It's well worth the time and money!

Well I have eaten here off and on for years. Today I prayed over my food, which I do anyway, but just looking at what was thrown onto the tray, I wanted safety from God Himself to protect me. I must have gotten charged the 'tourist' price too because my meal came to almost $30. Had to share the booth and my meal with 50 flies that were everywhere in the restaurant part, and they didn't even have to pay!!! I suppose the upside is the bathroom which was cooler than the seating area, and didn't have any flies, and I got a high colonic by the time I got back over the mountain. Horrible.

Me and my mother ate here on September 3rd. We both got the cheeseburger house specials to eat. The food was good but when I got home and checked my banking account they had charged me $214.08 for the food. I called and spoke to the owner and he assured me that my money would be refunded within 2-3 business days,Well that never happened. I've called back several times to speak with him and now he doesn't return my calls. I still haven't got my money back. So if you eat here and don't receive a receipt make sure you check your account before leaving. Because you won't get your money back from him. I will never eat here again and will be sure to tell others not to eat here either. To me that's a very dishonest man. It's been over a month and to me that's more than enough time to refund my money.

Food was amazingly good! Omelets "soft" are difficult to do well and this place made a really good one - bacon, cheese and tomato. Biscuits excellent, not dry but a little crispy on the golden brown top. Grits good. Husband reported his bacon, egg, Grits, biscuit breakfast excellent. Service quick and friendly. Prices under $10 each. Was tempted to try 2 eggs with tenderloin, but glad i went for the omelet. Not a fancy or spacious place and bathroom out back, but the food definitely deserves 5 stars.

Best hotdogs and hamburgers in Marion hands down. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Has a good variety of food that's fantastic. Staff is nice and you get what you pay for.

They have a wide variety of sandwiches and appetizers/side items. BBQ to hamburgers to chuckwagons with French fries or mozzarella sticks or corn nuggets. Suggest you order ahead to save a little bit of time standing in line. It's a popular local restaurant family owned and a friendly staff. They do stay busy and only offer outside seating. I recommend giving them a try for some great BBQ and all the other tasty menu items

Yes, I did give it a fifth star. I get by here every few years, and it hasn't changed. Bar-B-Que Hut is about as 'down home' as it gets. There are no frills - no air conditioned seating, big plastic pig out front, no playground for the kiddies. It's on one side of a gas station parking lot (or maybe the gas station is on one side of the bbq parking lot). There are picnic tables to sit at, some of them shaded. You order at the window and pick up when your number is called. The bbq sandwiches are very good, come with slaw on them, most of the sides are crispy and deep fried, and the price is about the same as a fast food quarter pounder. The last time I ate at the Hut was probably 15 years ago, and basically nothing has changed - same lady behind the window, same great food. Hopefully it's still there in another 15 years!

One of those places that once you try you can never pass again without stopping. Excellent BBQ and Burgers! Hard working and outstanding staff!

Stopped here on our way out of town and the food was good. The waitress was nice and the food was fresh and hot. I got the French dip and loved it. Crinkle fries and the home fries were good. I did not get the salad bar but I did look at it and everything was stocked and clean.

Our food was good, but as one of only three tables (none of us came in at the same time) on Saturday evening, it took 45 minutes to get our meals. At which point, one was delivered to our table. The second meal took another 8 minutes. The staff was far more interested in chatting at the front counter than anything else. Waitress apologized for the delay upon delivering our first plate, but offered no reasons beyond, "yeah, I know it took too long." She did nothing to make up for the crazy long delay. Would not recommend.

Went here today after poor service multiple times a year ago and nothing had changed. Salad bar was a mess with things empty, olives dropped in the cheese, toppings in the floor, ham dropped in the eggs and tomatoes past their prime. We ordered and waited about 30 minutes. At that point tables began leaving for over an hour wait with no food being brought. We had been sitting with no refills and no explanation. We questioned the waitress who replied we got slammed all at once. There were only about ten tables other than us that had patrons. The waitress came back about 10 minutes later and said since we'd been waiting right at an hour she was going to offer us a discount. We explained our frustration but understand it was not her doing at all. She said out food should be another 8 minutes max. Shortly after she brought us our dinners and before she set the plates down said "I really don't even want to bring this to you but I have too.... It's nearly burnt" then she sets two plates of wafer thin hockey pucks down that were intended to be the 16oz sirloin cooked medium. Needless to say at this point we were fed up and chose to leave. When speaking with the manager he was understanding and said he was having a hard time staffing the business with people who would actually work. Unfortunately we live in a time now where work ethic isn't what it once was. I tried to be understanding to the manager as I'm sure he isn't personally responsible and is doing the best he can with the staff he can get but this place isn't what it used to be at all and I'd hate to see such a once booming business go down because people can't work and take pride in their work.

I was disappointed. The food was not freshly cooked. Our fries were like rubber and I could tell they had been warming for a while. I also got a burger and it was dry and had been warming. But we got our food really fast! The waitress was sweet and did a very good job. We want be going back. I cant afford to pay 20 something dollars for inedible food.

The best one I've ever been too! It was so good and the food was cooked perfect 🤌🏼 Best waffle and bacon I've ever had. There was nobody here but us so there was no wait and our food was done really fast. There were only 2 guys working there but they did a great job 👍🏼 super nice people, I was surprised! My daughter and I stopped on our way thru the area. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious! The staff (They said they were “Corey and the Angels”) had everyone laughing and we had such a great experience. Everything was so nice and clean! Will definitely come back. Not surprising, but the food is great, classic waffle house that we know and love. But, man, the employees.. our server was nice, but it's very clear that the majority of them are on something. There's a lady who walks around with her tongue out 24/7, and our server couldn't stand straight, kept leaning on our table and bending up and down. Had to ask for straws, silverware, and went to the front without the check after waiting so long for it. They tried to charge us $3 for a fried egg, until the nice manager stepped in. Maybe stick to to-go orders or door dash...

Wife and I shared the All-Star special. I'm a big waffle House fan since I was six. Wife said to me, and I quote, this is the best waffle House. I was ready to say top 3 ( been doing WH for 49 years). But I'll Go with the wife on this one. This place is number one - saved in my maps forever. (P.S. One of the men said "Girls y'all need marksmanship training, cuz you hadn't hit the trash can yet". And without missing a beat, our server Flo said "Well we clean the men's bathroom and your aim ain't much better!" This may be my favorite place in NC.)

Never got all my food and they still charged me full price the cook was coughing and not covering mouth and handling his phone and my grits had plastic in them horrible service the pictures is the plastic that was in my grits and no it isn't hash browns

Omgoodness, what an improvement in just a few months. If, I could give a 10 star ⭐️ rating I would. Such a positive environment now, also the food looks gourmet now. This place is always yummy, fast and fresh. Sometimes service is lacking but for the prices it’s tolerable. This is our go to for a quick dinner just drive to window and go.

Weirdly they push you for a tip from a takeout window but that’s not a big deal. I’ll help out where I can. But the fried rice inside my 2x hibachi chicken had beef in it (I think it was beef) and corn! Where are they getting the rice from?! 😂🤣. And on top of it all they gave me 9 pieces of a tiny chicken that would be less than 1/4 of a breast or thigh and crab Rangoon that had absolutely nothing in it (hardly any cream cheese and obviously 0 crab, and a sauce that would compete with water). $40 with tip.

Meatloaf that so good it should have its own theme song. Mashed potatoes smoother than a country love song at sunset. And don’t even get me started on the cakes – if joy had a flavor, it would be baked right into those sweet delights. But the real secret ingredient here is the owners. You walk in and they treat you like you’ve been part of the family for years. They remember faces, they remember stories, and they make sure you leave happier (and fuller) than when you walked in. My mom and I go thrift shopping on Saturday morning and typically stop by. Service sometimes is hit or miss depending on how busy they are. For is usually really good. Unfortunately today I had a bug in my biscuit….not run on the side but actually in the biscuit so it had been cooked inside it. I understand that sometimes things happen. I told a waitress and she apologized took my plate to the owner and showed her. The owner never once apologized never once even acknowledged the fact. That’s what’s disappointing….a simple acknowledgment of the situation would’ve made it slightly better. So all and all I don’t think my mother and I will be going back. At least for a while.

I have stopped here for years. I get gas at the Exxon and come up the inside road to Hardee’s. So it’s an easy stop. People who read my reviews know I am always traveling with my dogs. This place has a great stop for your dogs in the back. With no noise away from the road. I have always felt safe here. That’s why atmosphere got a five and I keep coming back. Plus it is close to the Exxon. You don’t have to get out on the busy road. I usually just get a snack and away we go. Over the years I have had great service and bad service. That’s retail for you. Mainly, good service and good food. Always good tea. I was there just last week with the dogs early one morning and the place was packed. See my pictures. So this is a very popular stop in the mornings.

Worst experience at a Hardee’s. AI order doesn’t work. Once at window staff seemed lost, took order, didn’t get it right. Once took money it was 1 dollar over the receipt total. This is a big reason why I will no longer return to a Hardee’s location. Not surprised the stores are closing.

Worst chocolate milkshake. Soupy consistency and no flavor. Not worth the over $4 and supposedly 700 calories. Plus now I'm speaking to an automated voice system in the drive-thru? 😮‍💨

06JAN22 ~ It was a good visit, thank you. The interior eating area was spotless & well organized (Though the bathroom was a disaster!). The woman that took our order was pleasant and well spoken. My food was as I ordered it, tasted good, and was hot.

The new biscuit that I ordered was really good. I don't eat much here but this morning I was glad I did. The only problem I had was my husband ordered a Frisco breakfast sandwich and they were out of sourdough bread. They did put it on a hamburger bun. My husband said it was okay but would have been much better on the sourdough.

So I go here to pick up my order. Wasn’t ready and I waited patiently. So patient that other workers started looking at me suspiciously and asked was I helped. I told the lady my name again and that’s when I heard them screaming for my order. Meanwhile I’m watching other orders fly out. So the devil that made my food and knew I was waiting extra long put my food in warmer instead of just handing it to me or handing to cashier. I don’t feel like arguing, I said nothing. Meanwhile a group of them are talking laughing. Please forgive me but I don’t think you’re supposed to eat in the kitchen. If you’re gonna fire the girl you need to fire all of them. They were all eating. So disgusting I’m watching them eat lick they fingers, handle money then touch ready to eat foods and none of them washed they hands. And yes they use tools to put pizza in box but I also watched them readjust prepared foods with their bare hands. Coming from a former food service worker I know it doesn’t pay much but it’s a very important job you are feeding people and people need food to live. Moving on from my career working in food service was the most fulfilling time of my life. Take it serious wash ya hands and if you wanna eat don’t do it in front of customers. If they are brave enough to do this imagine how they do when they think no one’s looking. I BLAME MANAGEMENT. Never will I ever go back here. Last but not least I like my food crispy but correct me if I’m wrong but my cheese sticks were burnt too just to put the icing on cake

What a wonder pizza hut! It was very clean and the atmosphere was fun! They offered daily lunch and dinner specials. The menu had a great selection, in case you were in looking for something besides pizza. The staff was incredibly polite and friendly! Our server, Jonathan, was amazing! There's an area in the back with games for kids, for example, skeet ball and whack-a-minion. The games provide tickets, which can then be turned in for prizes (imagine a mini chuck e cheese). The restaurant had a set up for a "food bar", however it's not currently available. The staff were trying to keep guest spread out at various tables to allow for social distancing and the staff all wore masks. Honestly, we had a GREAT experience and will absolutely be back!

Always been my favorite pizza. They never fail on the taste. Dine in is always fresh hot and delicious with the pizza and bread stirs. The service you get is the best around.

Pizza 🍕 tonight. Pan Pizza is my favorite. I like it best. This restaurant was recently redesigned and I think it was a needed Improvement. Place looks much better. More inviting. Staff was friendly and busy with customers. This is a excellent choice for Pizza 🍕 and lot's of other. Menu items. Wait time was minimal. And my food delicious. Oh how I miss the Pizza Hut of the 80s and 90s. I was feeling nostalgic and many Pizza Huts in my area have sold their sit-down restaurants in favor of a pickup/delivery only counter. They may have a small table, but not a real Pizza Hut restaurant. This nostalgia led me to the Pizza Hut in Marion. I went twice, and ordered a different sized pan pizza each time. Personal the first time, medium the second. The first visit: The manager was obviously shorthanded and had to handle managing the restaurant with serving the patrons. I don't hold that against the management, given the way things are right now, especially in that sector. While I am understanding of that, it does not change the fact that your service may vary. It took 10 minutes for a cup of water. Again, I understand, but it doesn't change that fact. The personal supreme pan pizza was superb. It was so good I almost ordered another but I just didn't want to wait. No, it wasn't the buttery crispy pan pizza of the Pizza Hut of yore, but that's just Pizza Hut, they just don't do it like that anymore. However, it was still a very good pan pizza, and like I said, I wished I had ordered a larger size. Second visit: I came back the next day during my lunch break. This time the service was much quicker, which was good, since I didn't want to be late getting back from lunch. The service was quick and timely and that totally made up for the previous day's shortcomings. This time, I went with a medium supreme pan pizza. It felll short. Overall, it was ok, but there was just not enough cheese. There were many places allover where there were just lakes of tomato sauce due to a lack of cheese. A medium supreme pan pizza costs significantly more and given that price, a lack of cheese is a cardinal sin. Let me just go ahead and say this to all Pizza restaurants, CHEESE IS IMPORTANT on a pizza. The rest of the pizza was good. The ingredients were flavorful, but the lack of cheese brought the pizza on part with the previous day's service. Consistency can make or break a restaurant. Look at McDonald's. Their food is mediocre at best, but it's always usually always the same mediocre at every location. Guaranteed "mediocre" beats "might be awesome, might be bad" everytime. I will probably be back. They got a good foundation, it's just getting everyone to show up and everyone who does, one the same page. The Arcade: Definitely not what I was expecting by the term "arcade." I would've loved to seen an old Galaga game but of course, that's probably not what the kids are into. What they have are those "ticket winning" machines. Despite how you feel about ticket machines literally being unregulated gambling for kids, I've always loved me some skee ball, and they are all skill games. I would say this location is better off having them than nothing at all. I can imagine it gives the parents a few moments of peace to enjoy their pizza as well. Pizza Hut is an American icon. I would love to see them return more to their roots when it comes to their restaurants, especially the pre-Pepsi owned days. There was just a magic about those old restaurants and their pizza buffet.

The staff at this location is pretty friendly. Never had them my order or anything. Only downside they do not have a wide delivery distance range. I think it's only about 5 mi. I live only about 8 mi And they're unable to deliver.

Placed an online order that had a 20 minute estimated pick up time. Waited an additional 35 minutes for our order after arriving at the store to pick it up. Had the workers double check it, and it still ended up being wrong. The workers look like they have bad personal hygiene. I asked when the store manager would be in so I could speak with them and they said they couldn't give out that information, corporate it is. The food was barely warm, the fries were old, the order was wrong, and the employees are terrible. Paid $60 for this experience.

I ordered 4 tenders. I was told that it is impossible to sell me 4 tenders even though it’s directly on their menu. I asked if he could sell me a single tender, he said yes. I asked him to ring me up for 4 single tenders, he said no. I finally settled on ordering 3 tenders. He asked what side I wanted. I said I don’t want any side, please just the tenders. No side, no drink. He said he can’t sell a 3 piece tender except as a meal. I relented. Then these are the tenders I received. Granted, I am used to KFC Perú but considering that KFC is literally from the United States, I expected it to be better here, not infinitely worse and honestly inedible. Very sad.

I recently visited the KFC location and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was painfully slow. The lady at the counter was incredibly rude and initially ignored me, even though I was the only customer in the restaurant. When I finally placed my order for a 6-piece chicken, it took more than 35 minutes to prepare. This is unacceptable, especially considering there were no other customers. When I inquired about the delay, the counter lady responded with a condescending attitude, as if I was being unreasonable for expecting timely service. It's important for the staff to remember that customers are paying for their food, not receiving it for free. To make matters worse, the staff members were just standing around, eating from the cooked fries and other containers, and laughing with each other instead of attending to my order. It was clear that they were not prioritizing customer service at all. This was by far the worst experience I have had at any KFC location. The management needs to address these issues urgently to prevent other customers from experiencing the same poor service.

Slowest drive through ever. After stirring 35 mins waiting on chicken nuggets still had walk back IN TO GET FRIES COME ON BEEN THAT WAY LAST 3 TIMES AND THATS 3 TIMES TO MANY IM DONE

Bad communication to customers. Went in at 1pm to eat. Took 10 mins to get 4 tenders and the lady never told me they had none made when I ordered or i would have ordered something else. Usually decent place but this crew wasn't up on things like they need to be.

My god!!! If not fir the FREE 8pc chicken I wouldn't have came here and I still regret it. For starters everything was stone cold. Chicken was old and hard as a rock. I ordered the Korean bbq chicken bowl to try and it only contained old old fries and BBQ sauce. I mean old old fries. I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK!!!!

Went in at 1030 am to get free 8 piece with purchase of $15 or more had hard time with app not friendly user finally got it set up got 8 PC TENDERS at $19 the cashier was nice and thegm help me when i got home the tenders tasted old like reheat thn go to chicken greasy and didnt taste good i was giving them another chance but the food was bad

The quality of food has decreased over the years. Staff has changed. Even the fried rice has changed. Spring rolls are not made in-house. The scallops are imitation...very tough and not the texture of real scallops. The staff showed me the invoice from their food order, "scallops " were shown as "brand x scallops medallions ". Probably skate or shark. Buyer beware. The decor and seating hasn't changed in years. Hard booth seating with no pads. Functional but not necessarily comfortable. The staff is generally friendly and aim to please.

Everything is so good here. The only complaint I have is they serve everything in to-go containers. I wanted to sit and eat! Truth though is that the servings are large enough for two meals (for me) and I would have asked for a to-go box so it all worked out. Great price and I always get the Hibachi Chix w mushrooms. Love the carrots!

Kid who answers the phone and takes the orders is SUPER rude. You can tell he is an entitled, bored, snarky teen. If the owners plan on surviving with happy customers and good reviews and reputation, they need to seriously talk with their children who work for them or not allow them to work there in particular. With that said, the actual food in general isn’t even worth the bad attitude you get from the kid(s) or the money you spend there to support the business. Nara’s is where I will (you should) spend hard earned money from now on.

Teriyaki chicken fried rice with 2 sushi rolls. One of which was the 911 and I thought it would be spicier than it was. It was very mild. I wish they had written on the box or separated the rolls we got bc we were having a hard time figuring out which was which. The gentleman who Ho took our order didn’t give me much eye contact upon ordering and seemed distracted by his phone or something. That was a bit of a bummer. Otherwise. The food was great. We will be back

An amazing place to eat Japanese food. The food is always fresh and the sushi is the best that I've found in McDowell County. The staff is always so polite and respectful of their customers. I would recommend this place to anyone. The menu is in the following pics.

The place is dark uninviting...they don't wipe off tables when someone leaves. I sat down table was dirty from the last person. Chicken was good but I got steak tasted FAKE and old. Dull no seasoning. DONT GET STEAK one bite I though it was nasty...Health department might should check that steak out...wasn't cooked red inside...like a nasty kinda red...like undercooked. Smelled too... took 22 minutes I timed it...one order? Restaurant wasn't busy ? Go to Narras people are nice there. There clean.

Great food. Great prices. Teriyaki was sweet. The steak was to die for. Tasted simple but absolutely the best preparation I've had from an Asian restaurant.

Link Hot Dogs has amazing hospitality towards locals and travelers alike and even better food. I was absolutely shocked at how affordable and tasty they were. I haven't had a veggie hot dog in forever. The hot dog itself was so good I was scared into thinking it maybe real from just how bursting in flavor it was. Overall, if I'm close to this town again I would definitely stop by got another one of their Honest-to-God doggies.

Link Hot Dogs is one of my favorite places in Marion. I was just in town for 5 days and ate there 3 times! Friendly staff, delicious food, and great prices. I've had the devil dog, the ghost dog, and the Marion dog and all three were absolute bangers!

Holy Cow I did not expect it to be this good! I'm not big hot dog fan. I like them well enough, but if I'm doing dogs, I'm usually doing it at home, and it's usually gonna be brats. After several friends insisting I check this place out, I finally decided to give it a shot. First, it's not just hot dogs. It's mostly hot dogs and some brats, but their special is known to deviate. Also, there sides are bangin, but more about that later. The first time I went here, the special was a Taco Grilled Cheese. Yeah, I know, SOUNDS AWESOME! Well guess what, IT IS! It's Taco meat, with red peppers and onions, in a texas toast grilled cheese, with 4 cheeses mind you. Topped off with a beef filled pepper. I went back the next day, and finally tried a dog. Got what's called the "Marion Dog" (pictured), which is your typical Carolina style hot dog. Chili, slaw, onions. I usually add cheddar cheese as well. I was impressed. I didn't expect a hot dog to taste that good. They have enough variety to please everyone, including vegans. Now back to the sides. You might've noticed the mac & cheese in my picture. Yeah, this is the good stuff. So many places have "Mac & Cheese", but those places really just have "Mac, in cheese soup," even the fancier, pricier places. HERE, it's MAC & CHEESE buddy! This is how Mac & Cheese is supposed to be. If you like Mac & Cheese, come here and get you some! Lastly, the environment. This isn't a large place, but there are some table outside. I love the cozy atmosphere. They've done a great job with the place. It's not "wacky" like many hot dog places try to be. It's actually got a bit of a "down-home" feel, and I love it. If you're ever in Marion, NC . . . do yourself a favor and stop here!

The hot dogs are amazing! All beef Nathan’s which you can’t go wrong. Just a basic hot dog with regular toppings will blow your mind but the Cubano dog is another great choice for the more adventurous eater. The flavors mix together so well! The pimento cheese Mac and cheese is a good twist and definitely worth a try. We were honeymooning and came in. We are so glad that we did! Don’t miss Link hot dog! Open on Sundays, praise Jesus

Most enjoyable restaurant we have been while in Marion! Unique and fun hot dogs with great thoughtful toppings. We did two the two spicy ones (small ones) and two of the specialty, which were huge and split them between the two of us. Apple slaw and chili are amazing! 5 overall but 4 stars for service just because at 1:30p there was a rush and it was just one guy, but he was busting his but to get to everyone and get their food!

When we agreed to house-sit for a friend and they told us that we had to go to a hot dog joint I thought they might be losing it. Oh boy how wrong I was! They have a hot dog with livermush on it...and I am 100% here for it. The man running the register was friendly and explained the menu to us and then spent some time joking with our small child while we decided what we should order. The hot dogs were perfectly cooked and the toppings were ample. It was the dining highlight of our trip and we will absolutely be going back next time we come through the area.

Food was spectacular, and that’s coming from a foodie spoiled by the gastro-pubs, food truck festivals and pop-up restaurants of ABQ/TX/CO/AZ. Very reasonably priced and better than some of the restaurants more west of this area. Links works very hard to make it completely unnecessary to drive to Asheville for good food.

We were in Marion on a Saturday looking for a lunch spot and it seems all of Marion was closed until later in the afternoon or 5 pm, crazy! Toonez was open for lunch. YES!!!! We were so happy to find this place and as it turns out, Toonez was exactly what we were hoping for! The name kind of threw me, "Chophouse"? I associate that name with an expensive high end steak joint! Wrong..... This is a good 'ole ma and pa place, totally family run. The staff are all excellent! The inside bar area is a great place to relax, have a local craft beer and watch some football! That is exactly what we did. I went with the fried pork chop sandwich/smoked gouda cheese and +bacon! It was breaded perfectly and the bun fresh and tasty. Digging their fries, crispy goodness! My wife had the burger, she said it was excellent! Overall our experience was excellent and would come back in a heartbeat! I am thinking another trip to try their dinner bone in ribeye is on the radar!!!!

We stopped in Marion for an evening and we ate here. I had the Veggie “beyond” Burger and my partner had the 10oz New York strip steak. We shared a Big Ol Pretzel with house made Toonez cheese (my favorite part of my meal). All of our food was delicious and super filling!! The wait time to dine in wasn’t long, just enough time to walk around and enjoy some fresh air before dinner. Our server, Easton, was not only knowledgeable with great recommendations, but also very friendly and made our meal more enjoyable. Next time we stop through Marion we will certainly be back for more!

We went by after looking at other reviews, and we're happy to report that we impressed! Our waiter was so attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly! The food we ordered was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection for each of our orders, perfectly seasoned, and the sides were also delicious. The flagship Toonez drink was also very good! We recommend anyone try this amazing restaurant!

Oh my God, this was the first time I went out to eat since the pandemic started and it was so nice to actually sit in a dining room. I wanted to celebrate my second shot and Patty was super nice to me with everything, and the food there is incredible and fast. Everyone working was so nice, all masked up, and the tables were nicely spread apart as well, which gave me a great peace of mind. It's a bit higher class, but I'd rather spent a little more on great food and atmosphere than waiting in a drive thru. Not to mention the curry ketchup was awesome. I'll definitely go back if I'm not working on a weekend.

After a day of leaf peeping in Chimney Rock Park, this was an outstanding place for an early dinner. Great food and reasonable prices. Fried flounder was fantastic, crispy outside, moist inside. Shrimp and grits, very good--but be forewarned, the mild is still spicy. The potatoes with garlic and onion rings are both fabulous sides--and you get a lot! Nice wine list and a good number of nice beers on tap. Definitely a place to come back to.

Fantastic service from Josh only matched by the quality of the food! We had a 10 top and had a fantastic experience. Everyone really liked their food. The variety of high quality sides was unique. They had a cauliflower mac and cheese that was absolutely delicious. My steak was well seasoned without being over the top and was really tasty. Also, I went through like 7 glasses of water and Josh was very attentive.

This is a nice restaurant that is a little upscale for the area, but not at all uncomfortable. I've eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed my meal. The good thing about paying a little bit more for your meal is you can enjoy it... no large families of little screaming kids around you. Salads are excellent. Several beers on tap, but not a huge selection. It looks like a full bar....(not sure... I like beer). Wait staff always efficient and friendly. Steak meals run around $25-$30. Good selection of sides. Something for everyone here. I had a flounder special ($12) with sweet potato and fried okra, and a beer the bartender recommended that was very good. Great place for date night. No annoyingly loud music. I'll come back.

Lady behind the counter was 5 star, she was so sweet and amazing…..I feel bad even leaving this review lol. That’s only why I’m giving it an additional 2 stars lol. The crab Rangoon barely had any cream cheese in it (don’t even try to mention fake crab) and then the sauce was literally water with a tad orange coloring. Absolutely horrific. And the bourbon chicken was not bourbon chicken lol. If you like crappy Chinese food (like I do) I’d say go for it. But don’t expect anything 5 stars 😂

We ate there today, the place was dirty. The floor was sticky, they need to shut down a day and use some good hot soap and water on All the tables and chairs and the food bar! It’s like they don’t have enough help evidently! It’s been a good place but has really gone down hill!

Place has really gone downhill lately. Food tastes like it's being reheated from the day before. Egg rolls were the only thing that tasted fresh, otherwise, the rice was bland, and the chicken definitely tasted more like they put down an old house pet in the back and fried it up.

Limited quantity on each container. They won't refill untilypu request, and at at one point you'd stop asking. Food didn't taste good. Lo mein and fried rice were literally cold and dry. Wouldn't recommend

I was looking for a place to eat, and I choose the Chinese food. The place is big but they have one line of hot dish service trays empty and it feel like it’s overcooked or dry . overall it’s OK Maybe if you order from the menu, you get better food, but I choose the buffet

Spaghetti & Meatballs, usually requires two meatballs. We asked for an extra meatball. It turns out you get one meatball sliced in half, the extra meatball was a small 1/2. Meatballs at Chow Time = 1 meatball, for extra $$$ you can have a 1/2 a meatball. Personally I don’t think it’s worth it, based on other availability.

Everything I have gotten there was 4 stars or 4 and 1/2 stars. In my opinion they have the best pizza in town. I have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. Prices are modest too. Great service and timely delivery

Order a Medium Pizza and blonde old bartender didnt have time for my order until i ordered a single drink adter standing there for 30 min… got many ugly looks for just standing there.. Guy that made pizza continuously wiped nose with bare hand and hit what looked like a weed pen of some sort. I looked around for a sanitation score and didnt see one, asked someone and they said the owner has it worked out to where they dont have health inspections. gross

First official customer right here! I have been back many times all ready. The prices are better than all the other pizza places in Marion except maybe hot and ready cardboard from lil Ceasars. It's well worth it for the taste! And my kids love love love the cheesy bread. The staff is super nice and quick. Overall it's our new favorite pizza joint ! Now all they need is delivery.

Brian makes an excellent pizza. The wings were perfect and the variety of sauces was generous. And the flavor really bursts in your mouth. I highly recommend The Pizza Joint for anyone that wants an excellent meal at a very fair price.

My tip doesn't qualify for 1st rate service. Last time I was there everyone in the bar was served ahead of me including the outside patrons. I ask about the free Keno bags and was told they were for the players only. Then she moved them like I was going to heist one. I work a twelve hour shift and like a mixed drink or a cold beer occasionally on my day off. I've never been treated like this at the other establishments in Marion. Rant over.

A Cheers kind of place. Cozy and friendly! I originally gave this four stars but changed my mind after I caught the bar maid ripping people off.

The food was good. My problem is, the young man who took my order seemed mad that I was there to order food. Then the young lady he handed the sub to to finish putting the toppings on was impatient and rude. Before the sub even came out of the toaster, she was asking what I wanted on it. She slammed the oven door that heats the subs. Then before I even finished saying what topping I wanted she was cutting me off asking for the next topping. I just felt rushed.

The people who made our food were so kind. They were incredibly patient with my picky little sister who didn't know what she wanted. They were very kind and patient. Thank you so much!

The cold cut combo they made only had bologna on it, and the drink machine was broken. They range it up as the more expensive separate parts rather than a meal because they didn't want to ring up a cup with it for the combo (due to the drink machine being broken). The tables inside were also closed up with chairs flipped over at 6PM.

My fiance and I are regulars here. We come in probably once a week and we've always gotten decent service. Except for tonight, when Deana served us. For starters, we've given this woman a ride home before after learning she walks to and from the store. So to be showed the amount of disrespect tonight was seriously hurtful. We walked in and she didn't even notice us for a few minutes, just playing on her phone. When she does, she speaks very bluntly and rudely. I asked for extra cheese twice, never got it. There was barely any steak or lettuce on my sandwich and towards the end, she literally slaps down my sandwich and just walks away without saying anything. What the hell?? $8 for a 6inch that wasn't even made right. Go to another subway.

Came in on 2 separate occasions and was told someone would be with me and no one was. Lettuce in case was browning.

I've stopped at this location for the better part of a decade. It has gotten bad enough for me to take a minute to review it. The attitudes of the employees have gotten so bad that I won't be back. They need to learn how to start with the basic rule of respecting the customer. We aren't cattle, we aren't herded and fed slop. A sandwich made with a smile. That's what we pay for. I'll save my money and make my own sandwich before I return here.

I made an online order today for drive thru pickup as I have many times in the past. I logged in, added items to my cart and then checked out, easy peasy. This time though, while I saw an address with Main St, it was in Belmont instead of Marion. I used a Spectrum connection and it geolocated me in the Charlotte area. I showed up to the store here at 1194 N. Main St. to pick up, and no order. I did not get the persons name, I assume she was the MOD though, but she was helpful beyond words. First she tried to help cancel the order. I had ordered online with a computer, not my phone, so no joy there. She tried calling the Belmont store but no one would answer. She called the District or Regional Manager, they couldn't cancel it due to it being a franchise location. The long and the short of it, they filled my order and got me on my way. True customer service is so rare these days that when I encounter it in such an old school way, I have to give it a shout out. Thank you so very much. That is why I choose this over the other one in town. The difference is night and day. Not many chain stores would do this that I am aware of. All dad and I wanted to do was pick up some lunch and enjoy a picnic on a lovely fall day. And it was looking pretty grim. But we got to do just that thanks to the people at this Hardee's. Bless you fine folks.

I travel all over WNC this has got to be the Best Hardee’s in the area. You can tell that it’s an older restaurant but it is probably the cleanest I have ever been in. All the staff is friendly to everyone.

The food here was not good because the sausage tasted like it wasn’t done and the biscuit was over cooked. The staff did a good job taking our orders and getting the food out to us but overall it was disappointing.

This Hardee's has the best service of any Hardee's that I have visited in years. Food was delicious and the restroom was spotless. Work ethic was on display at this restaurant. The manager really cared.

Bojangles makes bigger and better two for 5 dollar sausage and egg biscuits- and the drive thru lady is alot nicer ...

Had a late lunch and also breakfast since it is served anytime. My wife had a hamburger and fries, which were very good. I had scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and hash browns. I asked for crunchy hash browns and they were perfect. Probably the best I've ever had! Our waitress was prompt and pleasant, with a smile on her face the whole time. If you are in Marion you should try Bessie's Diner. You won't be disappointed!

This was the 2nd time we have been here and this place does not disappoint. Had a bacon, turkey club on wheat with fries and it was delicious. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their sandwiches are always on point. Definitely a good place to get a great lunch. Anytime we are here in the mountains, we will stop there.

Wow. This place is fantastic! We went there for breakfast this morning. The breakfast looks amazing, but I’m not a breakfast eater and found out that you can have lunch for breakfast as well. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it’s one of the best ones I’ve had. The meat was full of flavor and not dry. The cheese was creamy and melty. It comes with fries or onion rings, but I opted for the home fries And so glad I did. Those were an absolute treat. They are like real potatoes and then they crisp up one edge which makes them super addictive. In addition to great food and lots of choices, the staff is amazing. They were all super friendly, very efficient and attentive, and they will never let your coffee get down to half a cup. I actually had to stop them because they’re so eager to fill your cup. It’s safe to say the service is unbeatable here. What a great little gem in Marion, North Carolina!

I've never had sausage gravy that was sweet before. I don't recommend it. Hash browns were flavorless and hardly browned, biscuits were tasteless. The eggs were great. The service was very good and very friendly.

Great down home cooking, a nice relaxing atmosphere, excellent prices. Seems that I've been going there quite often, and always happy with my meal. 9/9/25- Meatloaf Special, Home made mashed potatoes. Meatloaf has crispy edges and seasoned thru. Not greasy! The food was good, and the service was exceptional, except the poor waitresses were so busy they don't greet you when you come in. They get to you as quick as the can, though, and quickly get our drinks and order.

Ate lunch here for the first time today. * Breakfest is served all day. My husband got the Sampler. His food was hot fresh and cooked the way it was ordered. He was extremely pleased. *I ordered the Spinach Pie with Greek Salad with Greek Dressing. Ingredients was fresh, had a great taste and was hot. Employees were friendly well groomed and dressed professional. It's not a big place but it was clean not only at the tables but the rest rooms as well. You can tell they take pride in the appearance of the restaurant. I highly recommend. *They are only open to 3pm. So it is a great place to grab lunch with a great selection of food. *They do offer daily specials.

Saturday and Sunday the restaurant is open all day. The food is fresh and very good and the prices are great. Grab a drink in the cooler and sit down. Order anything on the menu and enjoy!

The best Mexican food in the county! So authentic, delicious, fresh, real ingredients, and massive portions for the price. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Lots of locals eating here. It’s attached to a Mexican grocery store so the vibe is very casual.

I just discovered this place after hearing a lot of people say they liked it. It has quickly become one of my favorite places in town!!! The restaurant is inside of a convenient store, and had really reasonable prices and delicious amazing food! The only downside is it's only open on Saturdays and Sundays. I have tried the tamales, gordita, tostada, and tacos. Everything has been amazingly delicious, and I enjoyed the spinning cups of salsa and pico that came with the food as well. Also, Jamaica flavor drink that I tried was AMAZING and I'm now addicted!

Authentic Mexican food at a huge bargain! Everything I've had here has been delicious beyond belief. They only serve food on weekends and they do not have chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants, but the food comes out super fast so it's not really an issue. They stop serving around 8:30 and I believe they are cash only.

Closest to authentic mexican food here in Marion, NC. They have my favorite beef tongue tacos with chopped cilantro and onions, topped with green hot sauce. They also have Flan and 3 leches cake. I love it

Never ate here before until that day. The food is delicious. The staff are kind and speak English also. Great price. Wish it was open 7 days a week. It's only open on Saturday and Sunday. We have ate Mexican food at different places and this place has the best tasting we have had.

We stopped in for a beer while camping at lake james and Cindy was an amazing bartender. She was super friendly and when we asked about the liver Panini she said if we didn't like it she would replace it with something else. We also loved the atmosphere and couches we will definitely be back.

This is definitely the BEST BOJANGLES I’ve ever been to! Fast, Friendly, & Food is awesome! The manager Kim is always smiling, cheerful, and always goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service! As well as the Assistant Managers! They deserve to be recognized and a good raise! :)

Went through the drive thru the kid at the window was lost and didn’t know what he was doing. He only gave us one drink even though we ordered 2 combos and when we asked about the second drink he said we didn’t pay for one but he’d give it to us anyway. We did in fact pay for it. Both biscuits were wrong, one was on a bun not even a biscuit and the other one had cheese even though we didn’t order that either. We ordered extra seasoning on the fries and they put none. The only good thing was the peach cobbler. We only ordered 2 paid for 3 and now have an extra one.

Was on the road and this is a great Bojangles. Excellent front counter service, extra polite and fresh food. If you want Bojangles go here!

Every time I’ve gone into this place I get an attitude from the lady in charge. I went in to get my girlfriends fries and she acted like I was stupid for not knowing you don’t get two sides with the combo. on top of that every time I go there the food is old. And for some reason, defying explanation, we’re pulled up to wait on them serving us the cold food. Just go to the better one on Main Street. It’s worth the eight minutes. You’d spend it in line waiting for them to bring out cold food anyways.

Really flavorful chicken patties, one of ours was thin and gaunt unfortunately and one was thick and juicy, fortunately.. Was out of Bo's sauce!! What the heck I mean c'mon, kinda ruined the whole quick lunch visit sadly. Mac and cheese is not good, was cold which didn't help. Reminds me of the mac and cheese KFC switched to and had to switch back eventually because it was gross. Biscuits here are amazing. Be nice if they could spread the mayo across the bun instead of just blasting it into one spot. To much work...

Besides the non-essential AI nonsense at the drive thru,noone knew wth they were doing,much-less knew how to make fresh food! Cajun filet was stale,like been sitting out since yesterday morning,stale. The only one who was on the up and up,was manager,blue button up shirt,brunette hair,she was johnny on the spot,the rest of them were space cadets.

This was our first time visiting the restaurant. Honestly it was frustrating trying to even enter the restaurant. I would definitely suggest some type of signage in front of the two or three other doors to indicate which entrance to use we almost left because of this. The atmosphere was nice and definitely a bar scene. Definitely Spacey would be nice to take your family to Use all the amenities. There was an odd smell I couldn't quite place it until I left but I think it was like a musty type smell from maybe vintage furniture. That being said I ordered macaroni and cheese as my side and it had no flavor on top of being cold. I found our server and she quickly gave me the coleslaw alternative, which I might add was pretty delicious. The personalized stamping on the bun was a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the barbecue sauce I believe it was 828 flavor. The barbecue could have been chopped up a little better, but that's just personal preference.

This place was so good. We got the family wing deal and while the wings aren’t tossed with this particular special, the wings were fantastic and they come with plenty of sauce. Their ranch is homemade and it’s really good. Jordan was our waitress and she was very attentive and friendly with us. This is most definitely a new favorite for us and we’re going to add it to our regular rotation of meals when eating out.

This place is absolutely incredible, even better than I had expected it to be and I was already expecting it to be A+++ based on all of the locals that told me about it!!! I'm a vegetarian and I was so happy to find a local wings place that does cauliflower "wings"; they were the best ones I've ever had and that includes me making them at home!!! I got their signature 828 sauce and it was amazing!!! Can't wait to go back and try all of the flavors and more of the appetizers and sides, too!!! And my server, Alexis R, was sooo awesome!!! Possibly the best hidden gem in Marion. Wonderful, friendly service and even better food!

Please dust the cobwebs off the walls.... was the 1st time we ever came here. The food was ok, my sour cream I asked for was sour.. it was spoiled. Coke in bottles, refills on tea. But we didn't get a refill or was asked if we wanted one. Food was hot, but we weren't impressed with the service and food.

Very good food, we ate entirely too much. 😁 Small restaurant with big plates.

The food is SO good!!! Excellent prices and the vibe is wonderful with artistic tapestries on the wall.

Amazing food and great value for money. Service was also very good and I'd definitely be back. Have the sharing platter if it's two or more people, you get to enjoy the most popular dishes!

We had a great experience here. We stopped in because we had never tried food from El Salvador before. And it was good! Similar to Mexican food but with its own unique flair. We tried the pupusas and sopes (pictured). It’s clearly a family owned restaurant so felt very homey.

I drive 30 minutes just to get take out from restaurant. Food is always wonderful and very much worth the drive. Make their own corn tortillas.

Made my first visit about three months ago and it was a horrible experience. Food, service and everything was poor. Went back today and at least the steak was prepared better and the service was improved, so I’ll give them the benefit. For a community that has no traditional “steak house” this group has a chance to sustain itself. They probably need to promote the business a bit more

First of all, food was good, especially the cole slaw it was amazing. BUT The portions are absolutely laughable. $9.99 for a Large Alaskan Whitefish that contains only 2 (yes, TWO) pieces is an absolute insult. Not to mention the Senior Alaskan Whitefish which was supposed to come twith 2 pieces and only came with ONE PIECE $5.99 that we were charged $7.99 for. (see pictures) Although they did adjust the Senior price, nothing was taken off for the missing piece of fish, or for the inconvenience. If you like paying alot of money for very little food then this is the place for you! $21.04 for such a meager meal, we won't be back unfortunately.

If you are thinking about trying "Lloyds Steaks and More" in Marion I highly recommend you spend your hard earned money else where. We arrived at the restuarant at 12:44pm and did not leave until 3:00pm. There were 10 people in our party...6 kids and 4 adults. The menu was all jacked up with sharpie marking out things they either didnt have or no longer offered. 7 steaks were ordered and all were cooked incorrectly and no seasoning or flavor. 5 people recieved their food and it took an hour before the rest of the party tp get theirs. They were out of pork (which we didnt find that out until 30 minutes after we had ordered it) and bacon. They salad bar was slacking on items but was at least decent tasting. We recieved refills on our dinners and our rolls after our food came. Eggs were dried out on 4 plates and decent looking on 3 others. 6 wait staff stood at the front of the restaurant on their phones while 2 wait staff ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. When paying at the counter we asked the lady if she was the manager she said yeah the assistant. Never asked if she could help or if we had an issue. We expressed that it was difficult to pay such a large bill for a meal that took two hours and was wrong. Her response was yeah we had majors problems. Not an apology was offered...NOTHING. Between two families over $120 was spent and they could have cared less that we were not satisfied. NEVER AGAIN LLOYDS!! This place will not last long with service and food like that.

My family and I came here when they first opened, and though the steak was great, the service was slow and the sides were not appetizing. Here we are, months later, and I can't help but think Lloyd's has become the greatest comeback story for a restaurant I've heard of in a long while. The new buffet is simply Southern and incredible! Our server was sweet, polite, and friendly. The cost is reasonable, and the atmosphere is much more formal and professional than our first visit. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

This place is owned and operated by people that love to cook. The food is so good. The salad bar is real good. The menu is shorter but it's better that way to me instead of trying to make everything in the world. Everyone is so friendly and remembered us after one visit. The owner was very nice and he knows how to run a restaurant...great fresh steaks.

My husband and I were thoroughly pleased with the food and service.

It's okay. The wait is incredibly long to get food, so prepare for that. Not very good for people with food allergies, I don't think the messages get relayed well to the kitchen staff. I wasn't quite impressed with my filet steak and the salad bar was messy and cross contaminated. My husband's meal was pretty decent.

So i usually have no complaints about this subway specifically, however i went by there tonight and they’re not supposed to be closed until 9-9:30 but when my bf walked in to get my food they told him they were closed and my thing is why would you keep the door unlocked if you’re closed..idk maybe it’s just me but where I work we lock the doors at the time we close so people KNOW that we are closed

BEWARE: Owner now refuses ALL Subway coupons! Also, good luck finding the owner to voice your complaints. I plan to though. What a shame. Used to like this one. Had great service, well, at least one worker. Another GREEDY franchise owner ruining a spot. WE do plan to complain to Corporate office. Maybe it won't fix him, but maybe it will help them know their overall customer base isn't cared about by franchise ownership. Any of you out there who support helping one another please share this post and hopefully make a difference for one another. Thanks

Time on the door stated closes at 9:30 and at 8:50 with the open sign on I was told they had just closed. Don't waste your time stopping at subway.

I asked for extra lettuce for my veggie sub…worker *barely* put any on the sub the first time. Worker picks up a very small and I mean SMALL pinch of lettuce like 4 or 5 strands of lettuce, and sprinkles it on my sub. I look at the worker and said can I get extra lettuce please. (This has never been an issue at any other subway btw) Worker looks at me with an attitude and says really… I said yes PLEASE. Worker then looks down at the lettuce and then over to the other staff member and begins speaking in Spanish, I guess they assume I don’t know how to speak Spanish 😑. After having her conversation she then put what she thinks is extra lettuce on the sub, if you count yet again a pinch 🤏 extra! I do not appreciate their attitude and how they conduct customer service. I will not be returning, I’m tired of having to ask 2 to 3 times for extra lettuce or spinach for that matter and still not get it. Good thing I never get a salad there because I would only end up with a few pieces. 🤦🏽‍♀️ 1st lesson of customer service is don’t argue with the customer!! Btw I would have been more than happy to pay extra for for adding extra veggies if it was such an issue. But like I said above, this is the only subway that has ever acted like this. No wonder this place only has a 3.9 star rating! DO BETTER!!

Used the app to place an order. I picked up the order but didn’t check it ( my mistake). I get home and only one sub was correct. My salad had no lettuce and 3 leaves of spinach and one of the expensive 12 inch subs ($13.79) was only a 6 inch. I was very disappointed will not be back.

I entered with no customers waiting and a patiently waited to be greeted. After the two employees that saw me walk in just continued to chat amongst themselves without acknowledging me, I decided to be nice and go wash my hands so they could finish their conversation. As I was walking back to the counter a group of 6 people walked in and stood in front of me. Instead of politely informing them I had already been waiting they simply started taking their order one after another. This is totally unacceptable and they should be ashamed of what terrible employees they are. I'll never go there again.

Husband stopped at drive through. He ordered 4 classic beef and cheddar. Got home and had 4 plain roast beef. No cheddar or sauce. We used to love Arby's but we won't be back.

We ordered on Arby’s on the app before arriving to pick it up at the location. We used some sort of coupon or deal in the app. I didn’t get a meal to save money, because Arby’s is kind of expensive. I got the five-piece chicken tenders with ranch and a side of small curly fries. The curly fries were as expected. I’d not had the chicken tenders before, but they were not very good. They tasted very dry and unflavored. The ranch sauce that came with it was good. I wish I had gotten the mozzarella sticks, because I tried one and it was good. The people working got my order out minutes after I arrived, which was awesome.

I stopped in for a quick bite. Mia was satisfactory; the temperature was good. Flavor was mediocre. The fries had more flavor than the roast beef. Staff was friendly and food was served In good time. It looks like the restaurant has had a interior facelift. It looks nice. I may try another sometime, possibly with a more specialized sandwich in order to add flavor.

I had a burger. For a mid rare burger it was kind of dry. I think it had been laying around awhile. Next time I'll ask for it to be cook fresh.

Beef'n cheddar, nothing better. Nice new store. Second visit: Came back for dinner and to try the burgers. Store very dirty in dining area, looks like not cleaned all day. Service very slow. Crinkle fries cooked hours earlier? Tastes so. Burger cooked in deep fryer according to cashier. Very very well done and crispy. Wasted $23. Good luck to management and owners. Can't recommend this restaurant.

I just made a brief stop to get potato cakes and they were good. It was clean, friendly, prompt and I would go back.

Customer service was on point food decent for fast food restaurants maybe a little better it was a grab and go on the road thing

Didn’t have any bags to place order. Didn’t give condiments, servers with attitudes, wait time in drive through over 30 mins, dining room closed. Used to be a great place but has went down in service and food quality

I would have given 5 Stars all around, but we were short 1 chicken finger in our order of 10. I'm giving 4 stars, however, because the employees we talked to did a good job. We stopped during our travels through Hendersonville (8/4) to get a 10-piece chicken fingers, fries, cheddar bites and a couple drinks. We went inside to place a to-go order. The place was clean, and the cashier was very friendly. We also asked another employee for a good place to buy a cake and she was very friendly and helpful! My child loves to count. She counted the fingers and said, "Dad, we only got 9 fingers!" That of course didn't stop her from enjoying them. I hope your experience is just as good or better.

1st time going there and never got my food through drive through. Went inside to get my food then was told they couldn't make it after I paid for it then waited another 20 minutes for some so called manager ot come from the back and give me my money back. WORST SERVICE EVER WILL NEVER COME BACK

My food came out very quickly. It was delicious. The server was extremely courteous and kind. I'll definitely go back.

I usually love to grab a Cobb salad from here when I get the chance, I’ve never had a problem eating here before, except for today when I open my salad and see that they served me lettuce that appears to be over a week old. I don’t know who thought it was okay to serve lettuce that’s that old but it could definitely make someone sick. I’m sad because I can’t eat my $11 salad now.

Consistently a reliable option; the establishment maintains a high standard of cleanliness and provides consistently excellent food quality. I highly recommend it.
