Easily one of the best spots in town. The steak sandwich was extremely good. The vibe was amazing, the staff were super friendly. Will happily go back. One criticism is I ordered a croissant and they cut it open and toasted it in some weird way which kinda made it a bit stale and greasy tasting - the joy of a croissant is that that inside stays very fluffy and soft and steamy when it’s hot and you open it. Also better cold and fluffy but definitely never cut open. Also salted butter would be more tasty with it.

Amazing cafe which is close to the port. As the first feed after landing Tasmania, I was pretty satisfied. I ordered iced long black and steak n eggs. I would say the steak just normal level but the side foods were great. Nice staffs and good vibe here. BTW, one of the staff was having fried rice which looked so yum! 😆

Delicious place for breakfast and coffee. Really love the feel and the food. Ate here each morning on an outreach trip for work. Can’t fault it and will certainly be back on my next trip to Devonport.

The perfect cafe to drop into after disembarking from the Spirit of Tasmania early in the morning. The staff are warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. It’s accessible, kid friendly and pet friendly!

Why this place is only rated 4.6 will forever be one of life’s greatest mysteries. Calling all glutards: do not bother going anywhere else, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. These guys have you covered. I’m up from Hobart for work and already contemplating how I can convince my husband that we need to drive three hours every Saturday just for brunch. The chicken waffles? Say no more. Hands down the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time—and I eat out a lot. GLUTEN FREE. I’ll be back, and I’ll be shouting this place’s name from the rooftops. Do yourself a favour: just get here now.

Laneway has a very relaxing yet cool vibed atmosphere. The staff are pleasant to deal with and quick to attend to you. The meals were served in a timely manner and presented beautifully on the plate. (I usually take photos - will update eith pictures when I go back again) I tried the Eggs Benefict, Steak Sandwich and the Southern Fried Chicken & Bacon Burger served with chips, aioli sauce and a Go Go Mango smoothie. All meals were delicious, the flavours went together perfectly. Nothing was off balance! The beverage was served in a perfect sized glass, it was just enough to quench your thirst without leaving you with a feeling of wanting more. Pricing is suitable for serving you're given and the quality of the food. For example: todays meal (26/10/25) we ordered - 2 meals, 2 coffees and a Go Go Mango smoothie cost around $89.00. The owners: Amber and her husband are also very approachable and hold great conversations. Highly recommend Laneway!

We first discovered Laneway a few years ago and have made it our regular breakfast spot when we come in on the Spirit. Disappointed to find this time that they no longer have a separate vegan menu - while many of the same dishes are still available on the main menu, they are now "vegan options" which means paying full price for a meal with ingredients removed (plus a 10% weekend surcharge). What we ordered was still tasty and well prepared, but the value for money and overall experience were less than what we had come to expect.

The only thing better than the view is the food. Exceptional service, friendly wait staff with extensive knowledge of the menu. Great wine list and precise menu of seasonal flavours. Would have to be one of the best restaurants in Tasmania. Devonport is lucky to have this place.

Delicious meal and lovely customer service. We had the Brioche with the butter and chicken dumplings for entrée, the chicken breast for main. Fast service. We were in and out within less than 2 hours but no pressure to leave. We would definitely come back.

My partner and I came on a Sunday evening looking for a nice dinner after some late afternoon snacks. We chose Mrs Jones after checking Google Maps and seeing its above-average reviews. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake, and we left feeling very disappointed with our dining experience. The atmosphere was the highlight of the night — the restaurant has a world-class setting overlooking the ocean in Devonport. First impressions were fine: staff greeted us politely, seated us, explained the market fish, and asked about dietary requirements. For our entrée, we ordered the Tasmanian scallops baked with Mornay sauce and chorizo. While the portion included three generous scallops, the flavour combination didn’t work for us. The chorizo overpowered the delicate taste of the scallops, and the fusion of jasmine rice, cheese, and Mornay sauce felt unbalanced. To make matters worse, one scallop seemed undercooked — mushy in texture rather than firm, raising concerns about freshness or preparation. When we raised this with staff, the scallop was taken back to the kitchen, only for us to be told it was fully cooked and that the “oil from the chorizo” caused the translucent appearance. They also claimed the mushiness was because the scallops had been baked in sauce for a long time. While they offered to prepare another serving, we declined because the flavour profile itself was not enjoyable. Unfortunately, the way the issue was handled felt dismissive, more focused on explaining away our concern than listening or taking responsibility. For the main, we ordered the house signature dish: duck in red curry sauce with coconut rice. The duck itself was tender, but the vegetables were served noticeably colder than the duck, with crunchy beans and lukewarm pumpkin. This inconsistency in temperature suggested the components had been pre-prepared and simply assembled together. The curry itself was very sweet and bore little resemblance to an authentic Thai red curry. Overall the dish lacked balance and cohesion. When we raised these concerns, the response was again unsatisfying. Staff explained that most customers “enjoy crunchier vegetables” and that the pumpkin used to be served cold but is now “gradually improving” in temperature. This came across as another excuse rather than genuine acknowledgment of the feedback. Overall, the dining experience was frustrating — not only because of the food quality and preparation but also because of how staff handled complaints. Instead of showing empathy or a willingness to improve, they justified the problems with explanations that didn’t make sense. Not to mention the food prices were also overpriced at 26 for a single scallop bake and 44 for the braised duck. Given this, we won’t be returning any time soon.

Always excellent. Best Amaretto Sour in Oz, well balanced with bourbon, which a lot of bartenders omit. Entrees were sublime, oysters were perfect. We both had the pork belly, delicious though didn't look appealing, beige with tempura battered brocollini that the dish may have benefited from being just chargrilled, both for assistance and taste. Pork was cooked to perfection though.

Best duck I have had! Tasty, generous servings, lovely atmosphere. Can not fault anything.

Fantastic experience! Food was spot on with Barramundi and Puled Lamb the two dishes we had. Flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Great views over the beach. Service was great too, polite welcoming and efficient. Recommend Mrs Jones for special occasions and celebrations.

We had dinner there last night. The waitress was excellent, attentive and pleasant. We were the only people in for a 530 booking and still the only people by 6pm. It took 45 minutes for our food to appear (order taken at 530). I don't think this was great for a spend of $140 for 2. Can't imagine what the wait time would have been if anyone else was in.

Nice, atmospheric cafe on the beach. Bustling on Easter Sunday. Excellent coffee and friendly service. Seated and served quickly. Ok value. Easy location after arriving on overnight sail from Geelong. We had eggs Benedict and zucchini pea and quinoa fritters with crispy prosciutto and kale. The prosciutto was not crispy and the meal as a whole was wet, eg wet kale, eggs not drained off well and a touch undercooked for my taste but tasted ok. Chose the fritters because almost everything else on the menu was sourdough heavy, and big thick slices. No lower carb options presented.

The service was excellent. The seafood chowder could have used a bit more fish flavor, but the gummy shark was quite delicious. The desserts were creative! I enjoyed the place and the view was beautiful.

Straight off the Spirit of Tasmania, when coffee is needed, Drift was a great place for that! Melbourne worthy coffee, and their large is actually a large! We ordered eggs Benedict with a side of haloumi. Haloumi was fried which was something a bit different and extremely salty but I really enjoy that. Right on the water, it was also right next to Mersey Bluff lighthouse and we did a really nice walk from Drift to there. Would come back 😊

Good view, grass, sea, and blue sky. --- 8.2/10 Service: Tap water is available when seated. The staff was friendly and nice. But, shortage of manpower. Needed time wait for ordering food --- 7/10 Food: very good presentation (better than general cafés). Normal portion. Reasonable prices. - Seafood Chowder, $28: served with 2 pcs of well- toasted sourdough and a LemonWedge. Creamy Chowder but not salty. Garnish with parsley oil. The seafood (scallop, prawns, white fish, and mussels) is mini sized. --- 7.3/10 - Battered Tasmania Gummy Shark, Chips, Salad, House Tartare, Lemon, $30: Good fish. Well-cooked. --- 7.3/10 - Spicy Orange + Ginger Rice Pudding, Orange Segments, Crushed Pistachio, Maple Syrup, (Special of the day), $23: it's not sweet. Pretty healthy choice. Garnished with dehydrated Orange --- 7.3/10

The Drift is the perfect location for an early breakfast or a weekend brunch!! The smashed pumpkin poached egg or the homemade granola and yogurt were very delicious. As you enjoyed your food overlooking the harbour. Service by Dane and Noah was terrific!! If you are in the area, please sure to check this place out!!

We enjoyed a sunrise breakfast at Drift right after stepping off the SOT. The coffee and service were pretty good. Location is absolutely amazing. The food was delicious but just fell short on the serving size for us. My breakfast was described as “waffles” only to be served as a waffle. Considering the price point we expected a little more on the plate.

Lovely, classy restaurant, excellent service with French staff which makes it even more authentic. Food was incredibly delicious. Only thing missing was a special atmosphere.

Superb restaurant serving outstanding food with a friendly & efficient service. I wanted to try everything on the menu. All our meals were excellent. Very enjoyable experience.

My friend and I came in for lunch with a booking, our table was dirty and we ended up having to clean up ourselves as the server came over multiple times and didn’t clean up. We took a long time to get served and waited over 45 minutes for our food. Once food arrived, my dish was cold and didn’t come with the extras I ordered, my friends food looked awful and they swapped something on her dish without asking, what if she was allergic? It also took ages for us to get our cutlery to start eating and our iced drinks were warm. Overall not a good experience. Positive notes: there was one server who was nice, and the bacon was good.

Really nice cafe, with lovely fresh food choices. We had the Avocado Bagel and the Prawn Sandwich which was yummy. We would eat there again.

This place has an incredible view and an unbeatable location, perfect for unwinding after a walk along the river or simply enjoying the scenery with a coffee. They also organize activities throughout the year with different themes, such as Christmas or Halloween, which makes it a great spot for family moments.

First and last visit. I really wanted to like this café, but unfortunately, the experience made that impossible. I arrived for a booking and went to the counter to check in. The staff were busy making orders, which I completely understand — but a simple “someone will be with you shortly” would’ve gone a long way. Just a touch of acknowledgment… basic hospitality, really. When we were eventually shown to our table, I was genuinely taken aback. It hadn’t been cleared — used mugs, coffee spills, and sauce splatters were all over it. A waitress came to collect a few items, then returned again to grab the rest, and finally, a few minutes later, brought us menus — still seemingly unaware of the mess. I ended up cleaning the table myself with a napkin. Because clearly, that's what guests are meant to do now. While we were waiting, an older gentleman (not staff, but worth noting) approached our table and hovered uncomfortably close to comment on my friend’s tattoos — ending his speech with a wildly inappropriate and invasive question. Not the café’s fault per se, but certainly didn’t help the already uncomfortable lunch experience. It took about 15 minutes before our order was taken, and when our iced chocolate drinks arrived, they were barely cold and tasted watered down. Not exactly the kind of drink you’d expect to go wrong, but here we are. Then came the food — eventually. About 45 minutes after ordering, —The bagel was cold and missing the extras we paid for. The burrito bowl? Visually unappealing and somehow tasted worse. And to top it off, an ingredient was swapped out without asking — which is especially concerning considering dietary restrictions or allergies. When it came time to pay, there was no “how was everything?” or even basic politeness. Just a transaction, and not a pleasant one. I’ve worked in hospitality — I know what it’s like when things get busy. But this wasn’t just a rough day. It was a string of oversights and a serious lack of basic customer service. Definitely not worth the money, or the time

We ordered a carrot cake for a recent celebration and were impressed. The cake was large, beautifully presented and full of flavour—easily serving a big group. The price was excellent, the ordering process was simple, and the whole experience was seamless. Highly recommend Marion Storm!

At very short notice we needed a table for lunch for eight people and three dogs (so outside, obviously), after plans for a birthday lunch had to change. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely spot on the deck outside the Devonport Maritime Museum. We tried a number of the dishes and everyone gave the food 10/10. Coffee was also delicious. The service was excellent and our waitress was pleasant, quick and happy to assist with any requests. A must do when in Devonport and we'll definitely be back.

Taste by Bold Cuisine is truly a hidden gem. The food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten, every dish was clearly made with love and attention to detail. Plating was thoughtfully considered, and you could tell great care went into every plate. We were informed that the menu changes monthly and we were fortunate enough to be trying the first day of this menu. From our visit the absolute standouts were the Beef Rib and the Pork Jowl, possibly the best meals I’ve ever had. The cheesecake for dessert was sensational and made even more special when the head chef personally brought it out. The atmosphere was perfect for us: quiet, intimate, and beautifully presented. I loved the little coat hooks at the door. I estimate the space only seats max. around 14 -16 people, the small capacity made it feel even more exclusive and special. The staff were warm and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment through the way they interacted with each other and with us. No one ever looked rushed. Their passion for what they do really shone through. I will be recommending Taste by Bold Cuisine to all my friends. Thank you for such a special dining experience, we can’t wait to come back next time we visit Tas.

One word describes this culinary delight in the heart of Devonport “outstanding”. From the first plate of our 6 course chefs menu (which was actually 8 courses when factoring in the canapés and ganache), each proudly presented and explained by our host and chef Simon, our taste buds were treated to an amazing evening we won’t forget. Who knew a sweet pea risotto would have me foraging through my bowl looking for more of those little green morsels when I don’t usually eat peas! Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be back time and time again to try his new monthly menu and will be taking friends whenever they come to town.

An incredible dining experience! My wife and I had the pleasure of eating at Taste by bold for our anniversary. Simon and his team have created a exquisite menu that takes you through different mouth watering flavors and textures. My wife had the wine pairing with the set menu and loved how they complimented each other so perfectly. Simon was our chef at our wedding 2 years ago and he made us feel so special to be his guests in his restaurant with a special anniversary card and chocolates. The service and decor was exceptional. Cannot wait to visit for future anniversaries!

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Taste in Devonport, Tasmania tonight and it was an unforgettable experience. Coming from Perth, Nick and I have tried many 5-star restaurants, and this gem offers 5-star quality at a more approachable price. Service: Outstanding. The young woman who served us was polite, professional, and impressively knowledgeable about wines from all over the world and how they blended with each course . Food: We opted for the 7-course menu—wow is an understatement. Watching the chefs through the kitchen meticulously prepare each dish felt personal and their passion for food shone through in every beautifully plated meal. There was so much food—sharing the 7 courses was definitely the right choice! Atmosphere: Warm, inviting, and intimate. Everything about Taste was faultless—the service, food, and ambiance were exceptional. If you’re ever in Devonport, this is a must-visit. 100 out of 5 stars! Thanks ❤️ we will be back

Simon and his team go above and beyond with the service and plates. Every course was exquisite and beautifully presented. I even received a surprise birthday cake and they sang happy birthday to me! Very romantic atmosphere and great range of alcoholic beverages. 5 stars all round.

A wonderful experience. We felt truly cared for from the moment we made our reservation. We dined with friends and the owner Simon and all staff were wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, they looked after all our dietary restrictions (seafood allergy, GF and LF), and it didn’t feel as though we missed out on anything. Enjoyed the pizza and pasta, we ordered meat d'lish, volcano and hawaiaan small pizzas and carbonata and seafood pasta main size. Very, very generous portion size and tasty. We feel it is a very home-cooked feel dishes and absolutely loved them. I personally like the carbonara pasta (the bacon was not salty but still tasty with the whole fish). My daughter loves how much pineapple there are on the hawaian pizza. We ordered volcano (hot) and it is really hot! (Not stingy at all with their jalapenos). The pizza base is a thicker version but not chewy, they are fluffy. Very polite and friendly customer service who took our order very promptly and came back to check how was our meal. The venue was large enough and bright! Thank you for feeding us a lovely meal last night 😊

Great portion sizes left me full and taking left overs home for an extra treat later on. Shared food with the family and everything ordered was deliciousm The mushroom sauce on the steak was so yummy I wanted to take a whole tub home.

I'm not sure if an Italian would consider this to be authentic Italian food, but heck my family had a pretty enjoyable dining experience here. Pizza, pork ribs and even spaghetti were flying across our tables as the 6 of us shared a fairly good spread of food. The ribs stood out for being well marinated and tender. The tiramisu was pretty good too. Service was friendly and efficient. In fact we were planning to return for a 2nd Italian night until some last minute changes thwarted our plans.

Pizza had lots of topping, with a thick base, but was not super cheesy. If this is what you like you would really enjoy this pizza. If you want a traditional thin base with less toppings and more cheese it’s not the place for you.

Great choice for a meal with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The creamy pumpkin pasta was absolutely delicious and generously portioned. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the welcoming vibe.

Not a bad place to dine, staff were excellent! Food though was just ok, added chicken to a pizza and every piece on the underside was black, picked those off and rest of pizza ok. Chicken snitty and Bolognese were on point tho. Def worth a visit.

First time in Tasmania and we really did choose the best restaurant to eat at on our way through devonport. All of the food came from the kitchen piping hot and extra delicious. I was impressed with how quickly our meals were brought out too, as it was pretty busy also with take aways. Staff were lovely, the atmosphere and restaurant was beautifully clean. Fresh and good quality. Nice lady working there. There was a misunderstanding about my request as I asked for no spicy food and it was a bit spicy for me. Eventually the lady ofered a solution.

Food is lovely, you definitely won’t leave hungry. Very flavourful. Very cold inside though and no heaters. Made us want to leave as soon as we seas finished. We both left our jackets on. Not the place to visit on a winters night. Didn’t have the drinks as listed on the menu. Staff member was very polite and friendly. When we finished our drinks mid way, we were not offered another. Maybe she was new though. Probably wouldn’t return yet appreciate the experience.

Has been taken over by new owner a few days ago and the new menu is limited but tasty. Not a lot of Asian dishes on it so the name can be a bit misleading. But like mentioned, good food.

Friendly staff and nice venue, but food was quite poor. The kids enjoyed their meals. We ordered 3 share plates that were all poorly cooked and not as you would expect. The food really let this place down.

We like coming here and it was our 1 year wedding anniversary dinner! Well no one took our order I had to ask staff if we can order please & we were booked at 5:30 so it wasn’t busy. The wrong meal comes out for my husband so I sat with my meal that was supposed to be a vegetable tart with pine nut rocket salad with feta & a balsamic glaze. It was a bit of pastry with different vegetables on top, was supposed to come with toasted pine nut salad, the salad was served ontop of tart that was just rocket! and no pine nuts at all was in dish. The tart was not cooked under the vegetable it was simply soggy pastry. I ate 1/4 of it then told waitress when my husbands correct meal finally come out that my meal wasn’t what was on the menu I was missing the toasted pine nuts (would have been the only crunch on the plate) I told her not to worry though I wasn’t eating anymore, she brought me out a small amount of pine nuts (uncooked) in a little dip bowl. Laughable really. So after getting my husbands meal wrong then not actually getting my dish correctly and it being a soggy bunch of veg we still had to pay $70+ for the inconvenience. What a great anniversary tea. I told the waitress and nothing was done but to ignore the table and offer my husband a free drink!

Very nice and warm service. Great food. Beautiful views outside and nice location. Love the beef and lamb. Cocktails are great as well. Though due to my poor and not-very-clear expression made some confusions, the service was great. Recommended

We had the Beef Brisket, Pulled lamb, Asian fried chicken wings and Strawberry Parfait. The food was delicious. We came here 5weeks ago apon arrival on the Spirit of Tasmania. It was great food so we came back before leaving Tassie. Best food in Tassie, that we tried!!! Thanks Central Bar and Restaurant!

I love salmon and that’s why I ordered it. The chef decided to drizzle oil on the plate which was not necessary, the salmon was served skin side up which is great, but the skin was lathered with a chimichurri which reminded the crispy skin. I felt that the dish lacked seasoning and I found myself adding salt to the meal to enhance the flavor. I won’t be ordering again and unlikely I’ll come back here.

Always love coming here. Great food, menu seems to change often enough with always great choices. Not prohibitively expensive, but definitely worth it. Good local beer and wine menu alone is worth the visit, and they are reasonably priced! Definitely one of the best pub dinners to have in devonport. And nice to see the Spirit come/go through the windows.

Had the Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer—both were absolutely delicious! Rich flavours, creamy texture, and perfectly spiced. The naan was soft and fresh too. Great vegetarian options and friendly service. Highly recommend Indian Curry Devonport!

Delicious, home style Indian food with no excess oil or extra spices, just fresh, authentic flavours. The owners are warm and welcoming, and their recommendations were spot. We tried the Coriander chicken, Daal makhani, and a few types of naan. Thanks for the great meal 😋

I just recently moved to Tasmania and being someone who is absolutely obsessed for good briyanis, it was hard to find a restaurant that made good briyanis that were up to my taste. I was super happy with my chicken briyani - I asked for Indian spicy; although disclaimer; I don't eat the briyani with raita - it was so good. Chicken was pleasantly soft, and good flavor throughout, hitting all my tastebuds! The rice was also just the right amt of dry/wetness. I wish I ordered more haha I ordered all for takeaway and they were all good, including Chicken 65 that I ate the next morning. Will absolutely be coming back for more - hopefully next time for dine-in 🤩 thank you!

Glass of vintage red wine paired with some lovely classical music was such a vibe. Very good soft walls. Structurally sound table tops and chairs. The rice was just superb.

Food was good however all three of our dishes were made of same gravey -malai kofta, shahi paneer and kadai paneer. If we ordered just one of them, it would be a 4 star. Lot of seating available and lot of parking outside.

There were mix reviews about the place still I decided to give it a try. As I drove from Bicheno and reached the town by 9pm, pretty much verything was closed except for the fast food chains. I ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan, and Naan. To my surprise, I had to buy rice separately but that was on me because in US, we get complimentary rice. Anyway, I lliked the curry and lamb was properly cooked. All in all, the food that I tried was good but cannot speak for other dishes by other customers. I am a traeveller and have been to 16 different countris (excluding US and India where I live) and my review is 100% honest and transparent. The place was good and I have attached some pictures for others to see. Got a chance to speak with the owner and he communicated well with me and shared a few tips about Australia and Devenport.

We stopped for lunch on a Monday and it was a very below average meal. Given the high prices we thought wow it must reflect quality. Boy were we wrong!, We had a steak sandwich $33 and a chicken parmy meal $33 The Steak was chewy and grizzly and pic below shows the oil we were squeezing out of the onion rings. The chicken parmy came out soggy. We ate half the meal and left, the waitress asked if we wanted a takeaway container we said no. What I wanted to say was maybe to hurl into .. The other pic shows you what $5 “jug” of sauce looks like..

What a fantastic place to hold a reunion. The food and service were five star. The staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Definitely the place in devonport to hold a function. Front bar closed for private functions and watch the boat come up river.

We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was really spacious and very well appointed. The staff, reception, restaurant and cleaners, were amazing and really looked after us. We will definitely be back

Steak was way undercooked, you could say that it was nearly raw. (Had Loaded Steak Sandwich). For $32 you would expect it to be a lot better! Garlic pizza was tasty though.

Average prices and average food. The location was excellent for watching the Spirit of Tasmania leaving port at 6.45pm, as we booked a window table. It wasn’t too noisy considering there were 2 birthday parties going on.

Really disappointed with the way we were treated today by a staff member at the Elimatta Hotel (bistro). I called yesterday afternoon to reserve a booking for a work Christmas luncheon/farewell (We work in tourism so today took alot of organising to line up everyone's schedule before Christmas). Was told the booking was fine but there was a set menu because of the Melbourne Cup, which didn't worry us at all. Left my name and contact details. Only to arrive today at 12.15pm for our 12.30pm booking, to be told that the Bistro was closed for a function and that our booking was 'cancelled'. Luckily, the kind staff at a venue very close by were able to facilitate us at very last minute and provided a beautiful meal for our work colleagues who had travelled as far as Campbell Town to join us. Very disappointing as we've recommended the Eli to multiple people for beautiful meals and a great place for group gatherings, not to mention have dined there many, many times ourselves. Will not be recommending in the future.

Took Mum out for her Birthday and official retirement dinner. Every meal was excellent, Chef’s Special Pork Belly was incredible (pictured), steaks were cooked exceptionally well, tasty & tender! Calamari is melt in your mouth soft! Almond chicken is an absolute winner! Staff were awesome with our own cake, service 10/10 👌

Was recently witha group 0f 12 at Verona. The place was very busy for a Wednesday night, so you have to book . All meals where yummy and nice presented. Staff was was friendly and helpful. Myself had a Tiramisu for dessert, I ate a few all over the world but the one I had at Verona was by far the best 👌. Next level. Definitely coming back. Keep up the good work 👏

What a wonderful 3 course meal we had recently. The food was perfection and very filling (photos don't do justice). From the ambience to the friendly and attentive staff, we had a fantastic night. We will be back for sure.

Chilli beef calzone? Definitely not chilli beef by any stretch. This was terrible and bland. I’m not exaggerating. More like tasteless beef and onion stew. Honestly, the saving grace from our visit, the service. Would we go back? Well, it’s overpriced too so have to think about that. My dining partner enjoyed the risotto and desserts of Lava cake and Creme Brûlée was quite good. Improve the calzone please it was unimpressive. $120 all up.

Absolutely delicious—for the tummy and the eyes! This place has quickly become our go-to whenever we’re in Devonport. The food is consistently divine, beautifully presented, and full of flavour (yes, we shamelessly clean our plates every time). Warm Italian restaurant. Food is great! Calamari rings were thick and large. Pizza is SO good! The lasagna abd carbonara, we just couldn't gave enough. Is a pity we only have 1 stomach.

Really really good food. Everything in the menu looked scrumptious. We ordered the chicken and mushroom risotto and Marguerite pizza and they were piping hot and delicious. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment.

We arrived at the restaurant around 4 PM, just as he had opened, and he kindly informed us that it would take about 30 minutes to set up. Unfortunately, we couldn’t wait that long as we had to catch a ferry from Devonport at 4:30 PM. We were about to leave when he stopped us and said, “Give me 10 minutes, I’ll do my best.” True to his word, he prepared delicious vegetarian rice and roti in just 15 minutes. It wasn’t just the food that made the experience unforgettable—it was the warmth, effort, and genuine care he showed us. Paji, you truly won our hearts. This wasn’t about money—it was about passion, hospitality, and the feeling that we shouldn’t leave hungry. The lamb was succulent, tender and beautifully spicy. Don't be afraid to ask for the hot version - it's fine!

Meat plater was nice, curries were good. The kolkata fish curry didnt taste like kolkata curry. The center half of gulab jamun was so hard that we had to use fork and knife to cut them. Otherwise it was ok.

You can expect the friendliest service and the most delicious food here, it’s my favourite place to eat. My go to is the Lamb Saag and I always get a Samosa or two.

We had the veggie banquet with swapped mixed veggies main for palak paneer. Palak paneer is the least spinach ive ever seen, its not even green. Garlic naan with no taste or smell of garlic or even bits of garlic where you can see it at all. Dessert - they should not put gulab jamun and kulfi together, they counter react with eachother especially with one being hot and one being cold. The taste of the food is alright, with the entrees being the best out of them but definitely NOT the best in town :( SK is better

This is easily the best Indian food in Devonport. The vegetarian curries are so flavourful and delicious. The service is really great too.

Me and my family went to Devonport for a holiday and because we are Indian we had to get something Indian to eat so Sk’s Indian restaurant was the best place to be ❤️🤩. The food was delicious 🥘 and the service was fab! The server 👨‍🍳🧑‍💼 that served us was checking on us if we needed something, we loved it! And no words for the decor! I ordered take away. The naan bread was doughy in some places, the butter chicken was meant to be medium spicy. However they used way to much sugar so you couldn’t feel the slice it was mild! There was a lot of sauce compared to chicken! The chicken was burnt and had charcoal which is not good for health! The fact that the inside of the chicken was dry! I’ll give it another go next time in town and try there vegetarian Curry. It cost 29 dollars. Look how much sauce was left! And it wasn’t even full!

You should take the feedback as feedback and not take it personally. Rather work on your service and improve it. You mentioned that you are running this business for 7 years hence if you haven’t learned this basics to keep what is professional and not take it personal then surprised to see how could you lasted this long. Perhaps I don’t see much growth with this attitude. Your menu was deceptive that’s for sure, price was high. Also, when we dined in, you were just roaming around and maybe you don’t realise but this was some silly added pressure of hurrying up the order, hence the overall experience was below one star but unfortunately there is no option for that. I wish i had read your nasty responses for the other low feedbacks you did then i would have never came to your restaurant. Again, last suggestion and you may take it or leave it is upto you; stop taking feedback personally and start to improve your services. Thanks

Terrible experience with rude and unprofessional staff. The avocado mash toast was completely burnt, and no one bothered to apologize. When we requested an extra hashbrown, it never arrived. When we tried to reorder, we were told to go to the end of a long queue (at least six people). When the chef finally brought the hashbrown, she carelessly placed it on my used plate instead of finding a proper spot. We asked to speak to the manager, who listened but was seen laughing as we left. The customer service staff seemed new, so no blame on her, but overall, the restaurant and service were awful. No apologies were ever made.

Lovely cosy cafe with lots of space and a children's corner which is definitely helpful and kid friendly. Baby change tables are available and lots of kids friendly items on the menu. Lovely view of the water front and if the weather was better, definitely a plus for the kids!

Been coming for years now. The food and coffee are sensational; so good infact that sometimes I just drive 2.5 hours to get there for my ‘fix’!! The food is fresh and delectable and made to order. Excellent value for money considering the quality ingredients. Every dish is made with love; you can just taste it! If you don’t go you’ll miss out for the rest of your life!

I tried the falafel with green chili and it was absolutely delicious… such a lovely taste! The reception was handled by a girl from Punjab, India, who was very lovely and had a great style of hospitality

This is lovely cafe that doesn’t just sell awesome coffee. The house made turmeric chai latte is also a must try as it is creamy and full of flavour. The food is of exceptional quality, especially the Afghan curries and pratha. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend trying is the Korean cuisine on the menu as it is over priced, with not the best authentic flavour. My humble suggestion is the café should focus on what it does the best: coffees and Afghan cuisine.

What has happened Banjo's???? This is my ham and pineapple pizza order. They were fresh ones which horrified me. The cheese were a sour, curdled, oily mess. The were simply as I purchased them and intended to eat immediately. I couldn't possibly eat them though. I'm wondering if it is a one off or the future Banjo's pizzas....

I ordered a salad sandwich, drove 5 minutes back to work, took the sandwich out of the back and cringed with the instant moistness I felt with my fingers. The top layer of bread (pressing against the tomato) was not just moist, but full on wet. It made a squish noise when I poked it. I tried to lift up the paper to move the sandwich and the moisture had soaked through so the paper fell apart and salad went everywhere. I tried to eat around the soggy bread but the tomato was so old and had soaked onto everything that it was completely inedible. Hopefully my chickens will eat it.

Ordered an egg and bacon pie. The pie was dripping with oil and grease, the bacon was in a big lump at the bottom of the pie and looked like fake processed meat, not bacon.

Popped in with friends for a quick dinner as we didn't have much time and really enjoyed our meal. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was served in good time despite being relatively busy so we didn't feel rushed to eat. Would definitely recommend. For my last night at tassie decided to come here for dinner. There was beautiful decor , i Was welcomed by friendly staff and where very helpful with whatever i needed. An excellent choice after disembark the Spirit of Tasmania and being the first lunch in Devonport. We started with Tasmania Scallops as an entree and it was delicious, a must have, followed by Seafood linguine. The portion is way to big for me. Not the best I've had but still very delicious. I would agree with some of the Italian customers who reviewed this restaurant, linguine needs to be improved. Excellent service, very attentive and friendly staff.

Really, really good experience all around. Food came out very quickly, though we were in early. Very cute décor, decent seating arrangements. Staff were very nice and very attentive. Boyfriend ordered a rib-eye and was very impressed with what he got, cooked to his liking and had a good portion size. I ordered the chicken fabulous, was cooked really well, very juicy and was stuffed well. Entreés were also very good, with fresh garlic bread and delightful arancini balls. Drinks were also very good, they were not stingy on the alcohol content of the mixed drinks. Would highly recommend.

This place was a lifesaver for me. While most shops in the area were closed during 2-5pm, they kept their doors open and continued running their business. All the food was freshly prepared and cooked on site and tasted absolutely delicious. I will definitely return when I visit Devonport. Thumbs up!

One of the few places open on a Monday night, whilst visiting for work so I was thankful. The Chicken in the teriyaki was good but unfortunately the dish had far too much mayo in the rice and across the top for my liking, making it very wet and rich. Service was speedy.

Great option to have before boarding the ferry! We had the chicken Katsu curry, udon and tempura, decent portions, not the best we’ve had from a flavour and texture point of view but still good. Been a couple of times and this place can get busy so be prepared to wait if they have a lot of orders on.

Cut the rolls up and squirted sauce all over them. Now impossible to pick up- absolute mess. And the sauce was at the bottom of the box by the time we got back to the car. We didnt end up eating any of it, as it was all slimy. If I go back to Devonport, I'm asking for my money back.

We stopped by during our Tasmania road trip. There are places in Turkey that can’t even make Turkish pide this well. The dough was truly delicious I highly recommend it. The tea, traditionally served after the meal, had a hint of linden, which was a lovely touch. The owner and the manager lady were so kind. I strongly recommend this place.

I understand you’s don’t get paid enough to make a fantastic kebab but the kebabs me and my partner ordered were disgusting. Packed with onion (some uncut pieces), half cooked bread and the meat tasted burnt. The chips were oily and had more vinegar than potato. I worked at this place when the food was actually worth eating, now I’d rather eat dog food. My partner is throwing up while I’m writing this too, definitely don’t recommend

We arrived after an over nighter in the spirit of Tasmania and stopped here for it breakky. It us pretty much the first cafe you see once you get off the boat. The customer service was ok but was not overly engaging when you take into account that almost all the patrons had just hit if the boat and were mostly tourists. We sat outside and there were plenty of rooms and tables inside. The food was reasonable and reasonably priced. The story of the building is of great interest and all the photos etc are cool. Toilets are very cleaned and well maintained and parking is easy and plenty of it.

Having breakfast in zest is cafe, food was amazing, service was very good and fast even there are so many customer. Definitely will be back.

The toast and eggs were fine. The bacon was only warm pieces of bacon nowhere near crispy. The tomato was extra $4 but only got half a shivered up warm tomato that's likely to have sat on the side of the pan for a while prior to serving. They must do better than that for $25 to get a good rating from me.

Had French toast, was very delicious just slightly sweet for me. Atmosphere is lacking a little and staff could possibly just wait a second to see if you would maybe like a bottle of water before they leave from seating you. But overall noce place.

Wasn't a fan. Stopped here as passing by. Had a milkshake that wasn't really cold, was tasty but close to room temp, i think inbetween making coffees the milk doesn't get cold enough for milkshakes. Had eggs and bacon on sour bread toast, was tasty, but seemed to be a wait even thou the cafe wasn't busy.

Waited for the reopening. Was it worth the wait? Not this time. Food was lukewarm after waiting 50 minutes for it. Had to ask for sour cream with the enchiladas. Wanted it spicy and to be honest it was bland. Mine looked like it had been microwaved. Very disappointing. Probably won’t go again because the food is uninspiring. I agree with another reviewer that if you want authentic Mexican food go elsewhere.

End of an Era — My friends & I have been going to Taco Villa (formerly Taco Bills) since around 1984 having seen it change ownerhsip numerous times during that period. There was only two occassions that I felt the food or service was slightly below their usual wonderful standard, one of those being beyond their control. So sad to see it close its doors once again for the foreseeable future. We will, however be keeping our fingers crossed & keeping an ear to the ground that someone who loves the tradition of Taco Bills/Villa will pick up where the last owners left off & bring the restaurant back to life in the near future. Here's hoping.

Food took way too long, I waited for it for about one hour and I asked for no jalapeños but I still got jalapeños, my little brother wanted chips and nuggets and that took more than 1 hour as well. Food was definitely not worth the price.

Well you just sent your delivery guy to 10 fenton street Latrobe with a $30 pizza. The delivery boy bullied the young girl rudely and would not give her $20 change. So I will be having him charged with theft. Last delivery of the night so I can't complain to the manager. It's Sunday the 5th of October and probably my last order from this company. Or someone last day on the job.

The crust was nothing like its usual texture and tasting. It was quite upsetting. It wasn’t made to the reputation that herbs has built over the years. It was a bbq meatlovers. The toppings just didn't taste right, it had hardly any sauce on it at all and the presentstion was terrible. Now i'll eat there again and hope i don't get a similar made pizza. i don't usually do this but it was nothing close to how herbs would want their pizzas seen or eaten. I had herbs Ulverstone only a few weeks ago with my family and it was sensational. This however was a disaster.

Never been but it seems pretty cool going off the people and atmosphere of the place. EDIT: I’ve been here now and it was just as good as I thought it would be, I had the Garlic Prawn Rolls for my entree and the Satay Beef with vegetables and they were both really nice as well as deep fried ice cream which I didn’t know was possible and was also an excellent meal. So in all, Sky King is pretty cool bananas.

I got the Mongolian beef chicken chow mein, steamed rice and short soup I absolutely loved it. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious. This small steamed rice is a generous portion and so is the short soup. I found everything to be fresh and hot. It is 100%. My # 1 place to go LOVED IT !

Tried calling to order so we could wait at home but after 15 minutes of not getting through we had to go into the restaurant. Mentioned to the girl behind the counter that we had called and she said they turned it off as it was mothers day and they would be busy. So we ordered and were told 30 wait so we sat in the car. Long story short an hour and ten minutes later we got our food. Food itself was lovely but as the restaurant wasn't very busy I can't understand such Long wait times.

What a gem of a find this place is, located near the Spirit of Tasmania terminus, I was very surprised by the quality of the food here as the facade doesn’t really give much away but once you enter it has a nice atmosphere and vibe. The food is far more than you would expect from a restaurant in this district, a very big shout out to the owner Simon. The prices are probably on the high side but well worth the money. Highly recommended.

lovely service, staff was kind and welcoming and was very attentive. food was lovely, deep sea cod was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection. restaurant was slightly warm inside, but overall great atmosphere and lovely interior. will be back!

We had a spectacular lunch here whilst waiting for our evening journey on the Spirit of Tasmania. The venue has a cosy atmosphere and is nice and close to the boarding area. We got to sample the winter menu which was full of beautiful and local Tasmanian produce. Both of our meals both looked and tasted spectacular and you can tell that the chef takes great pride in both presentation and the flavour combinations. The service is also spectacular and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and service in Devonport.

Visited this place for the 3rd time today and for the 3rd time was amazed which I think is a rare occurrence when dining out. We were leaving again trying to work out when we'd be back. Salt and pepper prawns and arancini are spectacular 👌.

I’m actually glad I didn’t dine at this restaurant yesterday. Upon entering, we were met with poor reception from the server. My husband and I were looking to grab takeaway before boarding the Spirit of Tasmania. We chose this place as it had great reviews. He was rude and arrogant when I asked whether we could order takeaway, to which he replied “no.” We were taken aback by his coldness. We walked out with two other customers who had just dined there and upon exiting, they expressed their disappointment with the server noting his rude demeanour.

Amazing food lovely husband wife team so many gluten free options as well the deserts/sweets are so so good ive made it a thing to call in once a week to try a different cake or whichever sweets are on at the time n have never been disappointed the chef has a way with food it makes taste buds come to life and the service is equally as awesome as the food thank you both 😀

The zucchini fritters were unique & amazing, loved the eggs Benedict cuz they used blue cheese, burger was good too according to my son. Their hot chocolate & coffee were gorgeous as well, even for me who’s really picky with my hot beverages. Loved their food, loved their vibes!!!

Came here for brunch with my partner. The staff was very lovely, all full of smiles. The prices were reasonable. And the food was amazing. We both had the pancakes and neither of us could finish it because of how amazing the serving size was. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Incredibly fast and friendly service given it was deservedly busy. Loved my burger and coffee. Chips were also outstanding. Big portions.

The food was excellent, the service was great and the drinks and meals arrived in record time. I noticed all of the team worked well together and I assume it was the owner was also very attentive to customers needs. Moving people to different tables away from the door and asking if they wanted the heating on. I would highly recommend and will be definitely going again. It’s the little details that makes a difference. Upon paying I was asked how everything was and I was acknowledged when waiting to pay by one of the team who was taking a menu to another table. My boys had little lunch platters and they were generous with a great little assortment of kiddie friendly items. I love eggs Benny and hollandaise and I always order extra hollandaise. I didn’t really need the extra as the portions of everything were perfect. Great quality meals and beautiful attention to detail.

A very pleasant dining experience that went very smoothly 😊 We booked, we arrived, were greeted, sat, got our drinks ordered then soon after our food, got given our food promptly, had our table cleared and then we payed! A seamless experience. Highly recommended 👏🏻

I understand we, italians, are dodgy, but it is illegal (Australian Competition and consumer commission) to not display the item prices. The staff was very lovely, but when I asked the price of my order she with "I think $38". Anyway, if there were prices displayed I could decided to have more food, so pity. I order Prawns arrabbiata linguine nero and pangrattato, so I thought "nice, squid ink linguine", no, my bad, a very expensive Tomato sauce spaghetti with pranws. Really good dish (a part the oil bath underneath), but definitely not worth the price

An evening in Devonport for an early morning departure on the spirit of Tasmania resulted in us looking for somewhere nice to eat for our final holiday meal. Pizzirani's Cucina was perfect. As walk-ins we show to a bar table which was surprisingly very comfortable. What a good idea to have a all menu of delectable dishes. The bolognaise in the entree 'spring roll' was excellent - one serve was plenty to share. Our pasta mains were large but extremely tasty and the salad was a real surprise - so crispy with the added red cabbage. The wines on offer were lovely, I particularly enjoyed the Sangiovese. To top it off, the staff were professional and very friendly. This is a real gem.

Very disappointed as it was our Christmas work get together. As we are shift workers we never get together as a group but tonight we were able too as we had a new staff member cover a shift. We booked about 2 months ago only to get told yesterday we had only two hours to dine. We practically ate our last mouth of dessert to be told we had to leave. Hadn't even finished my wine. Definitely will not return

What a fabulous experience! The dishes are full of flavour and exquisitely presented, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and best of all, it feels like you are experiencing Italy in your backyard! How lucky are we! We will be back many times.

The fish and chips were probably the worst I've ever had . Frozen crinkle chips and the fish was what looked and tasted like a frozen fish fillet out of a packet. It was the size of a child's order. The BLT my wife ordered was reasonable.

Our first taste of Devonport fresh off the Spirit of Tassie and it didn't disappoint. Open at 6AM for breakfast, coffee was great, the bacon & eggs on toast with a hash brown was awesome. Thoroughly recommend, but get in early. It's the first one everyone will see when they get off the ship.

A great cozy spot to relax and have a snack or something warm to drink. The ambiente and friendly staff makes you feel at home. I recommend writing on the wall ;)

Great cafe! We disbarked off the Sprit of Tasmania early morning and found this cafe just out the front of the jetty. We both had toasted sandwiches 🥪 😋 They were pretty good!! Good coffee. The best thing was we could sign our name on the wall with the other thousand people! LOVE IT!!

Had a lovely breakfast here the day we were catching the ferry. They went out of their way to accommodate me with a GF meal. Can recommend the hemp flour pancakes (has a bit of a nutty flavour).

We were visiting from Brisbane and have stayed a few times in Devonport. We were looking for thai food and found Bon Thai which only does take away. The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Craig was very friendly and bought our meals out to the car for us the first night.....we enjoyed the food so much that we went back again the next night for more. Bon was in the kitchen and does an amazing job of keeping up with all the orders. We had the Curry Puffs, Spring Rolls, Pad Pak King, and Jasmine Rice . The Pad Pak King was packed with vegetables and the chicken was so tender. We highly recommend Bon Thai snd will definitely be back next time we visit.

The Thai Green Curry and Thai Red Curry (I have both in the vegetarian option with tofu) from Bon Thai are the best ones I have ever tasted in my life!! So much so that they have ruined most other Thai restaurants for me because they just don't taste quite as good as at Bon Thai. The vegetarian Pad Thai is also pretty good, and according to others that are not vegetarians, the chicken Pad Thai is nothing short of amazing also. I have only ever dealt with the business owners, who it seems run everything themselves. I have to say , I've been ordering food from there for the last 4 years, and they have provided a consistently faultless level of service. Always very friendly and accommodating. Quality of the food is consistently amazing ,and as for having food ready on time, it's always ready at precisely the time they tell you it will be. If you arrive late, they ensure they keep it warm for you.

As a big lover of Thai food, my first experience in Devonport and Bon Thai far exceeded my expectations. Amazing flavours, absolutely delightful staff. Will definitely be my new regular!

Three weeks ago we moved from the Huon Valley to Sheffield and we have no idea what's what. It was 5:30 and our 9 year old daughter, husband and I were hungry. I looked up vegan option places on the net and Happy Cow pointed me to Bon Thai. The three of us were blown away with how authentic and delicious our dinner was! THE BEST Thai food I have eaten out of Thailand. So fresh, hot and truly delicious. You know when you eat food it may taste good but not too long afterwards you get a sort of yucky feeling but if you eat really good food you feel energised? Well without a doubt we were energised after our dinner. We ordered two green curries with tofu and one massamam with tofu and a large rice. This was enough for us to eat our fill AND we have enough for another meal for the three of us. Brilliant friendly service too. The lovely man even brought our order out to us as we waited in the car. Kind, good people whose food is outstanding. This is the real deal people.

Fantastic Thai take-away food with friendly service. Had the pad Thai and spring rolls which rivals Thai restaurants in any large Australian city. Will be returning for sure.

Just enjoyed our first taste of Mr Wok N Roll, the food is delicious. Tasty, moist dim sims, chicken fried rice and Singapore noodles. Generous serves.Extremely fresh and flavoursome. There was only one staff member front of house and one chef on a busy Fri night and they were working to the max and looking after their customers brilliantly. Thank you for fast service and exemplary food.

I love this sushi place! The service is so lovely, the woman working at the front is so kind and always has a smile. The food is so so good, the sushi rolls are my personal favourite they are good every single time. So good!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The menu said to ask about the specials, so I did, but the staff just told me to check the board outside and mentioned there were only a few left without any further explanation. There were no timings listed on the menu, but I was told that lunch is only available from 10:30 am. When I asked about a dish I had seen earlier, they bluntly replied, “If it’s not on the menu, then it’s not available.” After waiting 30 minutes to order, I asked to add eggs, but the said eggs were only available until 10:30 am and couldn’t be added to the lunch menu. The service was unfriendly and unhelpful, making it a very disappointing visit.

Honestly the food is great!! Very nice Nepalese food. But one of the service staff really needs to get better training, attitude was quite bad :(

Good coffee. Average customer service. Decided to pivot today and order a juice (the gut healing combo) and when i received my order it tasted horrible - like watery celery with nothing else - I asked about having some more fruit added and was shocked to see the pineapple was going to come from a can! I have never in my life seen a cafe use canned pineapple in a FRESH juice. What in the world. I could have purchased a much nicer quality juice from the fridge if I wanted processed pineapple juice. Totally threw me. I'll just stick to a takeaway coffee going forward and go else where for FRESH juice. **I understand that fresh fruit is not always readily available all year round - so maybe change your menu to reflect the season? And most importantly BE TRANSPARENT and let your customers know!

i got the asian salad with tofu and mushrooms and it was delicious. light and healthy is what i was looking for. staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. water and bathroom available inside and many vegan options! even the sweet treats. nondairy milk is available for lattes and smoothies

Got an acai bowl from here - was so runny like soup. Had half a banana and about a tablespoon of Granola. Not sure if this is the usual for this store but other acai bowls I've bought have had lots of fresh fruit etc. Also the menu said it was $11 but I got charged $12.. was it because I paid by card? There was no advertisement that I'd get a $1 surcharge.

Great value fresh juices - really tasty and vibrant. Also grabbed a 'ready to go' salad roll from the cabinet and it was so delicious! Its too cold in there though - I couldn't sit because there was a draft and in general its not the sort of place I would stop by as its a bit empty/hollow. Nice staff and fast service.

Usually a great place to eat. Shame that 3 of the 4 last salads I've bought from here have had ingredients that have been off.

The green room has great smoothies and sandwiches, i love getting my fruits drinks here, however they are almost ALWAYS closed far earlier than the closing time says. Upsetting when it’s the only time of day i can usually get there.

My new favourite healthy food café! So many great items on the menu but the caesar wrap and mango smoothie are my two faves. You should check them out if you're on the lookout for some guilt-free, yet yummy meals and snacks.

At last! a pleasant Devonport lunch bar that is - reasonably priced! Nice coffee & the take-out or eat-in Chicken salad is mostly chicken - great value. Sweet staff, bright little cafe - eat here and save $$$ on a light lunch for two.

The freshness draws you in off the street. The gorgeous spread of unbelievable salads wraps and salads fruits and smoothies. This is a health fanatics dream shop even feel healthier just looking at the wonderful colours of real food. Well worth checking out.

I called the store 4-5 times and every team member had different statements. We were waiting for the delivery and one of the team members said that the driver has already delivered the food. He did not inform us. All the food was covered with ants and we had to throw all the food straight into the trash when we saw it. Really disappointed. Never expected this from Domino's. Very poor service

Appalling delivery experience! I’m only 2 minutes up the road and the driver still couldn’t find my address 🙄. I never received my pizza at all. Thankfully, I ordered from Herbs, and they delivered straight away, no hassle, no drama. Thank you, Herbs! You saved my day 🍕👏

Last 2 orders have been ridiculous. Whatever has happened at the store, it's not working. First I received someone else's order which was already over 2 hours past order time, I have asd kids, none of it they could eat. Rang them and they said they would deliver ours in next half hour, 3 hours later it finally arrived. Kids had obviously already eaten and gone to bed. Waste of $50. Yesterday I ordered at 5pm, it is now the next day and I still haven't received my order. No contact from them either. If you have know anything about autism, you may know that they were 2 super long nights. I won't be ordering again, which is more than disappointing as this is the only pizza we eat.

As you can see asked for no onion on our veg supreme but got onion. Reached home and found out now we can’t do anything as my mom has an allergy from onions. And this is not the first time from this store.

The most disgusting pizza's we have ever had,went to the store and ordered pizza's,got home 10 minutes away,now we ordered thin and crispy base knowing full well that they may be a little dryer than say classic crust but when opening box they there was little to no tipping and the base was literally like eating cardboard,could not even eat them, ran store for to complain,told that we needed to bring them back tonight for refund,said that we lived at least 10 -15 minutes away,doesn't matter said shift manager don't get her tonight no refund, angry and p----d of headed back to store,manager wouldn't look at us in the eye,gave refund in cash even though we did transaction on card, ask the manager what he thought of the said pizza's (he didn't even look at them),my wife prodded him further by saying you really need to look at them and are you worried about how they are, he answered, he answered "a little", asked if we could get the actual manager to call us, wrote down our phone number and have never heard from him, they were tasteless, like cardboard and absolutely lacking any topping,never thought the manger would have the balls to ring us and there so called Dom Checker is a waste of time, only gave 1 star because couldn't give 0 stars.

Happy with our meals for an early dinner on a weeknight, it's good to have a 'nicer' Asian option in Devonport and we got our food in good time. The Pad Thai is huge and there was enough to take home and have for lunch the next day. Staff all friendly and busy doing jobs even when quiet which is good to see. We haven't had dessert here yet so can't comment there but the mains we have had have been really good. My partner had a really spicy option, I can't remember it's name, he said it was genuinely hot but very good.

Very convenient location as we’re staying upstairs and we’re excited by the menu. But we’re disappointed by the experience. Had a nice couple of servers and ordered spring rolls, chicken bao, salt and pepper squid and nasi goreng. The spring rolls had a weird flavour combination and we didn’t finish eating them. Bao was cold, with a strange sauce and chicken was average. The nasi goreng was the best meal but not perfect. The salt and pepper squid was strangely sweet like cinnamon and bizarre sauce we couldn’t work out. Waitress didn’t come and check on us at all after the food arrived and water wasn’t refilled. We were tired so happy to leave but were disappointed by the experience. Wish we’d checked reviews beforehand…

Weeping Tiger Salad (scotch fillet) was below average. Meat tasted like the cheapest cut they could find, very chewy and no flavour. Dessert was much better, Molten Chocolate Brownie was good. Some of the staff could be more attentive.

This is conveniently located in the Novotel Devonport. The satay and the crying tiger dishes i had were quite delicious. A great option if you are staying at the hotel or just out for a meal.

It’s our third visit to Mr Good Guy and I’d held off reviewing while they established themselves. After tonight’s dinner, I felt compelled to leave a review, because it was such a well executed meal. As soon as the dishes came out, something was different. The flavours were nuanced and perfectly balanced. I asked the wait staff if there was a new chef and they said there was, as of a week ago. The greens were so delicious even our kids ate them. Stunning nonya curry, the pad Thai had that perfect wok fried taste and the eggplant was beautiful as always. It was never a bad meal but the food truly shone tonight and we can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed fantastic coffee and delicious homemade food at the Larder Cafe while visiting Devonport. My husband really enjoyed his ham and cheese croissant, while I had the bacon and zucchini fritter with relish, which was hands down the best fritter I have ever had when eating out. I couldn’t resist grabbing one of their freshly baked Monte Carlo biscuits to take away, so good! The café had lot's of locals, always a great sign that you have found a gem.

Very disappointing- the lady serving us was so busy talking to friends that we had eaten our morning tea before we got coffee and my husband had drunk his coffee before I received my smoothie. Then we bought two really nice sized scallop pies to take home. It was all sauce I was lucky to find 3 very small scollops in it. We were trying to support a local business but it proved to be disappointing

Nice cafe with interesting meals and different options that you usually find in other cafes. I appreciated the vegetarian pattie served with a choice of different yummy salads. The coffee was alright. I am not sure all the sweets are made on site but there are heaps of choices. Staff were friendly.

Was here two nights in a row and shocked that this bistro did not show up when Googled Devonport food. Hidden gem as the service was prompt and food was delish First visit we ordered beef cheek, ribs and calamari salad. Never have we tasted such an amazing salad - we did ask for fetta and dressing on the side. Prices are reasonable and we were full & happy 😋 So... We came back for the eye fillet w mushroom sauce, salmon, calamari again & side of veg. Salmon was bit over, calamari consistently good, steak & chips perfectly cooked. Very satisfied!

Great rooms and value for money, we would definitely stay here again. Beautiful comfy big king bed, great friendly staff, fantastic location and good value. Room was nice and clean and modern as was the whole premises, Sherri at reception was fantastic and very professional indeed. Well worth a stay !

We stayed for the night on our way to Stanley. The hotel accommodation was great, very comfortable and a good size. The Restaurant provided an amazing Chicken Roulade and the bar / restaurant staff were terrific. Friendly and efficient, just the way we like it. The gaming was excellent too. We’ll be back when we are next in Devonport. Thank you.

We were recommended to try the meals here and were very impressed. We went for lunch and had the seniors special. We had the porterhouse steak and it was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the staff pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Very disappointed, had a booking for 6pm ordered at 6.20 went and asked if we ordered at counter staff eventually came to table at this time there were 5 tables in dinning room. Ordered garlic bread 2 children's meals 4 adult meals at 7.00 we received garlic bread cold by now there were a total of 8 tables in dinning room 6 were single table 1table of 6 1 table of two. Asked if kids meals could come out they were aplenty on there way nuggets and chips and bangers and mash 7.10 kids meals came out . We put garlic bread plate at end of table with our plates which we had to ask for and end of table as well as empty glasses and no point did staff ask us how were were going collect plates anything 7.25 our meals arrived 3 medium rare steaks over cooked and cold 1 beef cheeks warm nasi gorieng hot only thing that was sent one steak back as by this time very hungry same temp as the first one and medium no rare at all very disappointed did get 50% of but would have preference a hot steak cooked properly nor left on a warmer hot mushroom sauce . Will not return

Just had dinner here and it was AMAZING! Meals where huge and absolutely delicious. The ladies who where working tonight where also outstanding, they where so good with my kids and just so so lovely, warm and inviting. Their customer service was on point! When we come back to TAS again we will 100% be coming back here :)

Always loves KFC. Crispy chicken with savoury seasoning. Hot and crispy and wicked wings are the best. Yummy! Great deals. Grab the food in a minutes. Staff are friendly and nice. Ordered 3 piece box upsized 2 breast 1 leg got 1 leg and 1 breast and something else with guts still in it took it back and got every excuse under the sun they blamed the supplier even though they coat the meat themselves the guts were extremely visible as you can see from the photo this is the second time this has happened once at homemaker centre and now Steele street won’t be going back the quality was a lot better 40 years ago

Really surprised to get such lousy service in such a nice town, I waited at the counter for over 5 minutes as the only person walking in for an overview the counter order, I was stared at several times, read the badly spelt notice in front of me and the poster stating order electronically for quicker service, I felt old walking up to the counter and wanting to speak to make my order. A lady waiting stepped in and asked the staff to serve me after a bit over 5 minutes. My order was finally taken, the burger was OK but the chips were a bit of a soggy mess. Definitely not going back.

Bought chicken tenders for dinner at 5pm. They were so overcooked, couldn’t even chew them. Needs more quality control or supervision. Second time, months apart being disappointed with a meal here

There is no way the food served today at lunchtime was freshly cooked, it was dry almost to a crisp, tasteless and inedible.the bun was stale and chips old and cold. Would check the timing of keeping cooked food for public consumption as its supposed to be strictly observed. Suggest management check out the errr quality of the food being served..it needs major improvement.Terrible wont be back.

Place was disgusting, particularly the floor. A young weird girl came out to sweep, but all she did was stare at the customers, like a seagull looks at a chip. The food was ok for a KFC, not amazing but not horrendous.

Cozy place. They have round table for family/group. Food served in reasonable time even tho the place is getting many waiting customers. Food is ok portion but flavour is a little bit on the salty side for me. Other than that it was a plesant experience to dine here.

Spontaneous choice after a movie. It was a Sunday night walk in around 7pm. They were happy to have our group of four and very friendly. The service and food timing was prompt and on point. The food intself was all delicious. Very tasty, full flavoured and well prepared. Each of our party was very complementary. They didn't have a banquet, so we all ordered a mains dish and shared, all of us were full by the end. The restaurant itself was plain and simple, a little too bright with the lighting and a bit too quiet with the music. We felt it was lacking intimacy Would definitely go again.

The fried rice had reheated mixed frozen vegetables from a supermarket. The Mongolian lamb was full of fat. Although popular here, it would not survive on the main land. Don’t go there

Spent nearly $90 on a delivery and received an over cooked entrees and main meals only half full. Contacted the restaurant directly to resolve before posting any reviews. I was told that they only do one size and the amount in the containers was correct and must have gone down during delivery. Rude service and unsatisfactory product for the price.

Large portions and diverse menu. Good for Devonport, however adjust expectations if you are coming from a larger multicultural city (Melbourne/Sydney etc). We were pleasantly surprised by the hot and sour soup ~ definitely the closest in terms of authentic flavour and what we expected. The kung pao chicken came with a warning as "hot" but we found the sweetness of the sauce to overpower any other flavours on the dish. Mee goreng noodles were a little overcooked, and the flavours are a little different to a typical indo approach as they have put a different spin on it. Can't complain about portions thought which were generous. Dining in facilities were a little outdated, bathrooms definitely need to be cleaned more regularly.

Best Chinese I've had in the Burnie- Launceston Area. Good prices, food was excellent, I recommend the Satay Beef or Honey Chicken. The dumplings were also a good size. Special fried rice was good, but a tad more flavour could be nice. Desserts are good, banana fritter comes with vanilla ice cream and a choice of topping sauce. Deep fried icecream a good size. Staff are very friendly and the dining area was clean and well designed, very modern. It is refreshing to not have tacky old decor. The restaurant has toilets which were clean. Positioned in a good spot immediately next door to the cinema and Car park. I forgot to take pics of the mains.

Super elegant and beautiful cafe!! We caught small rainbows on the floor when we bounded to our table🌈 The host lady was very friendly and cute🥰 The food was all homemade and very yummy. The foam of the coffee was nice 👍🏻 We ordered avocado sourdough and cheesy poached eggs and they were delicious and warm. Thanks for the wonderful service and we really enjoyed it!!

Stopped for a quiet Sunday breakfast. We had bacon and eggs with a side of baked beans, the special for the day was Pepper Pig bacon, potatoes baby spinach and poached eggs and it was delicious. We also got the stewed apple crepes although not pictured because I was already enjoying my pepper pig 😍Seriously if they have it it's definitely worth every savouring bite. Coffee and milkshakes were great too and the place is beautiful. Leave plenty of time of they are busy and enjoy the time here.

What a fabulous place to have breakfast before boarding the Spirit of Tasmania. Really was a tasty Tassie send off from our cycle tour. I had the panna cotta with compote and granola, and my husband had Egss Bene, a green tea, and a flat white. It was a fabulous breakfast and set in a beautiful building. Highly recommend a stop here, and thanks for being open early

The service was top-notch—the lady boss was warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. Now, onto the food—it was absolutely fantastic! Every dish made a great impression. Here’s what we had: - Fetta Avocado & Roasted Tomato with added scrambled eggs: Absolute perfection. Flawless from start to finish—an easy 10/10! - Huevos Rancheros: The eggs were fluffy and well-cooked. We just wished it had a bit more spice. Still, a solid 8/10. - Mocha: Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced—no complaints at all. A definite 10/10!

This is a small gem in Devonport that must be protected. I’ve never had an experience with a meal that seemed extremely fancy but humbling at the same time (Eggs Royale - look at those Lox roses!), and I felt good eating it. Our server (we’re assuming it’s Jacqueline haha) is incredible, gregarious, and talkative towards us, and it was honestly the best introduction for my friend who is in Tasmania for the first time. Thank you for an incredible experience, especially at 6:30am after we got off the ferry!

Called in for a Chai Latte with my Border Collie, Ruby. We sat on the beautiful verandah. Pearl, you are such an asset to this gorgeous establishment and you are a true professional. Thank you for looking after my needs, including a fresh water bowl for my dog, not to mention the very tasty Chai for myself.

A usual stop for me every so often around 3pm. Service is always lovely, hardly any wait as it's quiet at that time... lots of room to sit in if I choose to. Food is quick grab and my large chai latte is often low tide, too much froth but hot enough and tasty.

Good food. But some of the staff need a attitude check and a refresher on how to serve customers. The way that this lady spoke to the young female staff member was disgusting and uncalled for infront of customers. She always abrupt when speaking to customers.⁸

Very unhappy with a leaking fat from absolutly burned piece of barramundi fish. Did not want to get sick so I threw in to a rubbish bin. Very disappointed. These girls don't know what they are doing.

Disgustingly small piece of fish look at it compared to a 20 cent piece, lost our business! Was bitten once before by them, but give them another try! Will be buying else where now. The piece that fell off had no fish at all!

Great little takeaway place with a big range of menu items (pizza, fish and chips, burgers, cakes/slices). We stopped here for a quick bite before catching the ferry back to Geelong. Lovely service and heaps of seating inside if you aren't in a rush for takeaway.

For a local cafe, they do a very good Pizza, definitely on par with places that specialise in pizza.

I’ve just had breakfast at this wonderful little cafe it was the best I’ve had since I was there a couple of months ago. The staff were smiling and happy. The cafe is very clean and service was very quick. I could not fault the food and presentation I recommend this cafe and I’ll definitely return. Thankyou to staff at Libby’s 🤪👍

Stopped in today for a late lunch. Fast service and the food was lovely. 2 scones with a generous serve of jam and cream was a very reasonable $7.50. Nice kids menu at good prices. The Cafe needs a bit of love. Very dated and uncomfortable seating.

Chef/cook needs to taste their own cooking.. I ordered the big breakfast and none of it was very nice. The eggs were watery and weepy with absolutely no flavour of their own. The toast was edible, but with the amount of eggs presented, there was not enough. The bacon and relish was the best part, not very nice, but sadly the best part. The baked beans however were revolting. I'm not sure if there was a mix up in the kitchen or what, but the baked beans were sweet. Like dessert level sweet. The cafe itself was very dull and not very inviting. Could certainly use some work.

Absolutely splendid food! The chef and staff are so lovely and attentive. The decor and atmosphere is truly blissful. We had the deep fried wontons and fried dim sims as entrees. The chef was so amazing, she came out and talked to us about how she hand makes all the food and tries to utilize local ingredients in her recipes. She is extremely talented. Our mains of tvp black bean and on chef’s recommendation the nugget sweet and sour. So delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Amazing food, and not too “heavy” feeling. We shared the wonton soup and the salt and pepper tofu which were both delicious. The vegan tofu that they use was a new experience and was a really good texture! Will visit Zen again during our next trip to Tasmania!

We had a fantastic meal here. The meals are delicious, generous and served by the chef who is delightful. The laksa is the best I have had in Australia. This place is worth a trip to Devonport. Everyone should go here.

If you are scared of the vegetarian section of the menu in most places then don't be afraid, branch out and try something new! I'm not usually the kind to pick those options either (and I'll admit I was a bit worried before trying the food) but my friends and I loved it and there is a lot to choose from. I'm definitely going back again. Highly recommend trying it out!

Viet-Eat is an incredible spot for authentic Vietnamese food. Every dish I’ve tried has been full of flavour, fresh, and made with care. The pho is amazing, the dumplings are super fresh, and the spicy noodle soup is a must-try! The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and the service is always great. A big shout-out to Sue, who is just wonderful, so kind, friendly, and attentive. She really makes you feel at home and adds such a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommend this place if you’re after great food and warm, genuine service. I’ll definitely be back!

Pork belly with rice is a must-ordered. Pho with beef is delicious, however if with bean sprouts will be perfect. Friendly services.

In Melbourne we have no end of Pho options but when in Devonport, this Pho broth healed my soul. I’d eaten so much Western food for a week of travel and needed this so badly and it delivered. Truthfully we never finish all the broth when we eat Pho because it can be too much. But it was too beautiful to leave behind. A special gem run by some lovely people. No they don’t do the plate of complimentary bean sprouts, lemon, leaves, chilli like a lot of traditional places, but it would be so hard to justify the likely wastage in a city where people may not finish them. Instead your bowl comes with herbs and bean sprouts already.

Hands down best Pho I've ever had. Not exaggerating. The beef was melt in your mouth quality. They are not kidding when they say their pho is 12hr slow cook. Can really taste the difference. The chicken bao was also the best I've ever had. Very juicy bbq chicken and generous with the sauce. Bao itself nice and soft texture also, not hard and crusty like some other places. Service was fantastic with such a cheerful personality and bright smile. Self serve sauce bar is awesome. Would eat here anytime any day.

We ordered the Vietnamese beef pho. Fried spring rolls with Vietnamese iced coffee! Friendly restaurant. Cuisine plays above standard. The food is delicious But because the restaurant is open door. There are flies around from time to time during the tasting. That's a little annoying. Everything else is fine.

Viet Eat is a wonderful little Vietnamese Takeaway shop in the heart of four-ways. The food is delicious, the service is delightful and the atmosphere is solid. I ordered the calamari in a small takeaway size - it came with a generous serving of perfectly cooked calamari with a deliciously refreshing mint salad. I came in to order and was greeted with a smile. When I asked about how long the order would take, I was told 'five minutes', lo and behold it came even sooner than that. Furthermore, I stood outside to have a smoke and the attendant walked out to give me my food! Wonderful service. The atmosphere is alright - it's a smaller shop sat in the middle of four-ways, but still manages to be comfortable. Overall, this is a great stop for a quick lunch or a casual dinner.

I’ve been trying different Vietnamese restaurants in Australia for 10 years and never met staff who ordered the wrong thing for me and kept saying that’s my wrong decision to order. I won’t come to dine in this restaurant if the waitress couldn’t understand anything about customer orders and just argues but not even say a simple sorry or apologies for her mistakes. Attitude is very important but she’s has only argument with people. In addition, truly, the noodle of Chicken was not tasty at all.

Half Eaten in Pic but Had to Share! Beef Noodle Phơ was fragrant, piping hot & delicious. Lots of yummy, tender beef, with no googly bits on it and not a worry for fresh chopped chilli on the side. Atmosphere good for a quick drop-in lunch and the place was brimming with chatting, happy diners :)

Amazing food. So delicious we will be back. We had the Vietnamese Sizzling pancake - beef and wow!!! We also had the chicken, broccoli and celery stir fry.... we are so impressed. The stir fry is a good price too $17.90. It would be great if the restaurant was warmer as there is no heating, and just a nicer venue. I'm sure would make their trade very busy. But the food is the best!

The food was delicious. We enjoyed it. Also the staff were very friendly. We had vegetarian options too, which is hard to find. I will highly recommend this restaurant.

really delicious vegan options! there’s a spot on their menu with separate vegan choices. we got the rice noodle with veg, tofu etc. and the fresh spring rolls. the lady working was really nice. the place smells like cheap perfume and they have electronic music playing but the tasty food makes up for it

Easily the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Fish was unrecognisable as fish, boiled and grilled, not sure? Potato cake made last week. Chips dry and over cooked ,stale. Oddly is rated quite high on google. Shop looked ok. If I wasn’t heading out of town I would have driven back. This is picture, un touched, not sure if that thing is even fish. I rarely leave a bad review but this is bad .

This is old school service, great prices and great food. We were blown away by how lovely the staff were and equally happy with the quality. We ordered 2 x kids cheeseburger meals and one steak sw to share, plus a dim sim. Everything was delicious but they forgot the dimsim. It was no worries though as we decided to eat in the Cafe. To remedy the mistake they gave us 2x dim Sims instead of the 1 we initially ordered. If you are in the area definitely pay this place a visit. Amazing!!

Great service! Fantastic burger! I called in and ordered a hamburger with the lot and was NOT disappointed! We decided to eat in. The burger did not disappoint. I was amazed when I bit into it and found it contained : lettuce, Fried onion, egg, bacon, beetroot, tomato, cheese and pineapple!!! The staff are friendly.

Absolutely beautiful food and the owner is so lovely definitely recommend!

Sitting on the toilet this morning I really felt why that burger is called The Screamer. It was so good though, a really epic Aussie style burger. Heaps of grilled Onion and jalapenos, juicy AF, spicy AF. burger was so big, had it for lunch and didn't need dinner. My wife had the grilled chicken pesto burger and also loved it.
