Ate there on Friday 27th June. This is not a tex mex style of mexican food but the flavors were amazing. Had the chichen with pistachio sauce to myself. A little expensive for 1 but normally can feed 2 people with entrees. The blackberry, ginger and lemon mocktail was absolutely delicious! There was alot of noise from the crowd but the place was cosy otherwise. Would definitely go back if I was local!

Cocina in Jindabyne blew us away. This was easily one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve ever tried. We went for the set menu, which was packed with bold, fresh flavours and creative twists on the classics. Every dish was a winner, but the real stars were the margaritas. The spicy ones, in particular, were next-level—perfectly balanced and seriously addictive. Friendly service and a fun vibe just sealed the deal. If you’re in Jindabyne, don’t miss it!

Your staff are on fire. From kitchen to wait and bar staff. We literally got a laugh from them all. Super friendly and great atmosphere. Love the new fit out too. It matches the quality of the food. We tried most of the cocktails and they were all amazing. She absolutely knew what she was doing. Looking forward to our next visit. Whatever your doing, keep doing it because it's working.

Place is easy to find with parking behind and infront of the restaurant. We booked a table right at opening and were seated straight away with another couple. The staff were very friendly and talkative which was nice for a change. The decor is really nice and has a comfortable atmosphere, the kitchen is also open so you can see everything. The menu is easy to read and has multiple options for those eating. They also have a large drink menu which was also very varied. We ordered the corn chips, two flavoured sodas, tortillas, the chicken, the rice, salsa Verde, the orange duck and two desserts. The food and drinks came out quickly. The presentation is very beautiful and fresh. The food itself was quite wonderful, very tasteful and well thought out. The pricing for our night came out to about $140. Very well priced. Desserts were nice but definitely could be better. I also wasnt a fan of how dirty the windows were. Overall id really recommend stopping in for dinner.

This place is amazing! Do yourself a favour and give this place a try, you won’t regret it. The food, service and atmosphere is beyond 5 stars, it’s out of this world and yet, I can’t believe it’s here, in small Jindabyne. If you get the chance, don’t miss it, go to Cocina and enjoy all it has to offer.

The minute we walked in we knew we'd found the right place to dine. First impressions count & the barman was first contact & very welcoming, as we're all other staff we had contact with. We had the $55 Chefs set menu & loved every bite of it, particularly the fish & the Carne Asada (striploin) complimented by a great wine list....and our first ever tequilas! If I could score a 6 I would.

Stunning food and great cocktails! We had a table of 7 and shared an array of dishes. My highlight was the swordfish and ofc the Tommy margherita. The churros and brownie were an excellent way to finish the evening.

My favourite in this restaurant is their mulled wine and the apple cider with spiced rum drink. It was very delicious 😋 I ordered a whole rack of pork ribs and my partner the beef fillet. My pork ribs are dry for my liking and my partner's steak is very charred outside and overcooked. We are a table of 7 people and this restaurant has a lot of space and comfortable seats. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for our food. I did love the drinks and will definitely come back for it but the food isn't great at all.

Food is decent but it’s a long wait and service on the restaurant side is lacking. We got here and ordered way before it was busy. The burger and steak came after about 20 minutes. We still have 1 more dish and we see lots of other dishes coming out for tables who ordered after us. When we followed up politely with 2 of the staff after 35+ minutes for the lasagne, 1 didn’t get back to us (they were pretty busy, I understand) and the second person who I asked, went to check. When she eventually brought it out, she said ‘ok’ really rudely to me as she put the dish down.

Stopped by to try their famous grill, and we ordered the steak and pork ribs. Both were absolutely amazing!! super flavorful with the seasoning perfectly on point. Next time, we’re definitely keen to try the tomahawk! A big chef’s kiss to the chef.

This little hidden gem gave us the very best dinner - the vibe, live music, value for money and quality of food way surpassed our expectations. The best steak in town without a doubt! An absolute must visit in our future Jindabyne list! Service was tops too, so friendly and welcoming.

Food: Amazing Food! Water tastes normal, however the Coke has that amazing flavour as usual. Chips tasted amazing, However, My Well-Done Scotch Fillet that took a total time of 22:18.95 was SUPER! My only con about Food is that they didn’t have any mayonnaise. Service: The staff were kind and happy to serve us. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. People nearby played UNO, talked and etc.

We here just after school holiday. No waiting foods come out quick. Steak are average. Pork ribs are Good. Popcorn chickens are ok. Overall average for the foods but great service.

Unbelievable food. Got the Angus steak and pork ribs and stick date pudding. 10/10 food, amazing taste and good sizes. Sticky date pudding was amazing.

We had such a fantastic time at Jindabyne Brewing! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively. We were the only brown people there, but that didn’t matter at all — we felt completely at ease and had so much fun exploring the menu, ordering lots of food and drinks, and just soaking up the vibes. The servers and bartenders were exceptional — friendly, hospitable, and genuinely engaging. They made great conversation, offered recommendations, and really added to the overall experience. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the portions were generous. The ambiance of the place is casual yet vibrant, perfect for a night out with friends or a relaxed evening after a day exploring the area. Everything felt comfortable and inclusive, and the team clearly takes pride in making every guest feel welcome. Overall, Jindabyne Brewing is a must-visit if you’re in the area. A Local Gem with Fantastic Food and Brews – Thanks, Mickey! Jindabyne Brewing is an absolute winner, and we're so glad our local friend Mickey saved the night by recommending it! This place truly deserves its 5 stars – it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day in the mountains. The food here is genuinely great. I particularly enjoyed the lamb skewer; it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Beyond my dish, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and fresh. And of course, being a brewery, the beers are just great! They have a fantastic selection, ensuring there's a perfect brew for every palate. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal place to catch up with friends and family. It's clear this is a beloved local establishment, and we can absolutely see why. If you're in Jindabyne looking for top-notch food and excellent craft beer, do yourself a favour and pay Jindabyne Brewing a visit. You won't be disappointed!

It was busy when we walked in. We are a group of 8. Staff were helpful and responsive. A special thanks to Finn😊. We made our own tapas, as we pretty much sampled much of the menu as share plates. Everything was amazing including the vegan chicken wings😊. The kitchen was tiny and the staff worked very hard. We sat near the kitchen and it was fascinating to watch such an amazing team effort. The boys enjoyed the beer and the options for non beer drinkers were appreciated 👏. A great place post skiing and we will be back again.... to sample the rest of the menu - both beers and food!

Don't want to leave a bad review but just inform that they don't have many vegan options anymore and were currently out of the vegan jackfruit taco option leaving basically nothing as a vegan option. They had great drink options and a cool environment!

We’ve been to Jindabyne Emporium a number of times before, and only just realised we hadn’t left a review—time to fix that! We stopped in for lunch on a quiet, cool, yet sunny autumn Friday. Arriving just after opening, we kicked things off with a BentSpoke Crankshaft IPA and a ginger beer to wet the lips. Our Order: • Beef Burger – A solid, satisfying burger with everything you’d expect. Bonus points for pickles served on the side for those who discriminate—I’m not one of them, so I stuffed them right in. • Poutine – Not the best I’ve had, but still enjoyable. I was a bit critical of the seasoned chips, but the missus loved them. Later learned the curds were actually just cheese—still tasty. • Chilli Con Carne Tacos (x2) – On the smaller side but fairly priced. Ordered without sour cream, but unfortunately the pecorino cheese was also missing, which was a shame. In past visits, we’ve also enjoyed the cheeseburger spring rolls, polenta fries, and other tasty options from the menu. The Experience: • Service is always friendly and welcoming • Great location with a view east toward the lake • Vibrant atmosphere year-round • Excellent beer selection • Simple food, executed well We’ll always come back for more—it’s a favourite stop in Jindabyne, no matter the season.

Upstairs, above the main drag but much bigger than expected! All the food we had was great! The service was super friendly and great to talk to! The selection of beers was large diverse We spent 4 nights in town & tried a lot of the cocktails on offer - the Spicy Margarita from here was by far the best in town!

We stopped in at Jindabyne for lunch and found this gem! The service was great! We ordered the gluten-free tacos with some sweet potato chips and they were delicious 🌮 My partner tried some different gluten-free beers and loved them, learning they are from our region. The vibe was nice and chilled! 🤙🏼 Would definitely recommend this place. Char & Ricky.

Came here twice during our stay. Food was exceptional, staff were nice and there is a great view of the lake. Good seating options; it does get busy though. Reasonable prices too. Highly recommend.

Definitely Definitely ! worth a revisit ! We will be coming back on our next visit, specially Taco Tuesday, we had fish and chicken tacos and they were fantastic. The corn ribs are heavenly!!!! right at the top of the list! The chicken burger was good not great, the onion rings were great only the sweet potato fries were a little let down as they were little soggy and the portion size felt was too much, they could have been halved for less price for people wanting to try them at first. The staff was very courteous and service was really quick too. Overall just splendid experience. Thank you!

Extremely Disappointed – Worst Service I’ve Ever Experienced We were told that all tables were reserved, so we had no choice but to order takeaway, which took around 45 minutes. To our surprise and growing frustration, several tables remained completely empty the entire time—with no “Reserved” signs in sight. It was clear they were not actually being used. This kind of misleading information and poor customer treatment is unacceptable. I’ve never encountered such terrible service in my life, and I will not be returning.

This place was a highlight of our snow trip! The food was delicious with huge portions and great service. On top of that, we had a beautiful view while sitting outside and the staff were all so friendly. We have already visited twice on this trip and will absolutely be returning!

Large, generous portions. Sated our appetites perfectly - no room for dessert. Drinks were overpriced (inner-city Sydney prices) and not so generous. Friendly service, but did not appreciate being asked to tip (not an Australian custom - and should not be encouraged).

I didn’t finish my dish because I can’t wait to give good comments to this lovely restaurant! It is already busy on Thursday night, but the service is still so good. The staff all with smile and friendly, especially the man staff with glasses! We love the food here! The most favorite one the lamb shranks. It is so amazing! It is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been tried! Must be NO.1 in my mind! When I having dinner here, I feel relaxed and can forget everything around me, only the tasty food and comfortable music. I’m not a local, but I highly recommend to try this restaurant when you pass by Jinderbyne.

What a perfect place for a dinner/date. The setting to the inside dining was perfect, the service was unbeatable, the general atmosphere was so nice! But the food, the food was definitely the stand out, I was simply amazed at the portion sizes for the pastas were generous and the flavor was amazing! Will definitely be back!

Went here for my birthday dinner and we were slightly disappointed. Ordered some olives as a starter which we waited 20 minutes for, had to ask. Waited an extra 30 minutes for our mains, pasta, which was very oily. We felt as if we were a burden all night as I think we were the latest booking (8:15pm) and they started closing up the restaurant whilst we were still eating our mains. Felt as though we couldn’t order more drinks or dessert. I’d recommend an early booking! All in all our waitress was friendly enough but was non-existent. Probably wouldn’t go again.

Nice place for dinner and decent food. Prices are more expensive if you dine in, $30 pizza is a bit steep. Very tasty tiramisu. Nice staff. A good option that’s open during shoulder season.

Breakfast at Birchwood was a pleasant way to begin our snowy adventure trip at Thredbo. Known for their famous reviews, the food was merely mediocre. On the plus side, we were welcomed by kind staff, whom also allowed our personal cups to be used for coffees and hot chocolates.

This place has been consistently the best place to grab food, coffee and pastries following a morning at the slopes. Although the matcha latte is a tad inconsistent but that’s it. We tend to order takeaway just before they close on Sunday prior to leaving Jindabyne, and they never seem to disappoint.

Incredible food. Amazing staff - helpful and friendly. The tuna dish (a special) was the nicest tuna dish I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. I got takeaway meals for dinner too (curries - yummo). They helped me manage 3 young tired kids when I was there too. They loved their meals, and they're picky! Great cafe. Thank you guys

We’re a group of seven here to have breakfast and ended up all satisfied. Service is wonderful and food is pretty decent. My personal rating is 4.4/5

Like a few of our favourites, Birchwood is one of those places we’ve been to countless times and only just realised we’ve never left a review—time to fix that. We usually visit in spring, summer, and autumn, avoiding the winter hustle and bustle, but no matter the season, Birchwood is always popular. It’s our go-to for breakfast and brunch, though we’ve had lunch here as well. The meals are consistently high quality, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. This Visit: • Turkish Eggs – Normally, Birchwood nails the balance of flavours, and this was another delicious dish, though I found there was a little too much baba ghanoush for my taste. Still very enjoyable. • Mexican Mushroom Chilaquiles – Looked great on the plate, but the egg was stacked directly on the tortilla chips, making them a little soggy. Plenty of black beans and mushrooms in the mix. I didn’t try it myself, but it was a generous portion. • Chilli Scrambled Eggs (previous day) – This is a standout dish, one of our favourites. On this visit it felt a little below the usual high standard—maybe just an off day or a different chef. As always, the coffee was fantastic, the vibe was chilled, and the staff friendly. Even though this visit wasn’t quite as spot-on as usual, Birchwood remains a favourite and a place we’ll always come back to.

We ordered 2 Avo on toast and one kid's pan cake, Avo on toast was pretty good, but the kid's pan cake was very simple as compared to other cafes. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, though.

We stopped by due to the vegan breakfast options but I was absolutely blown away by the coffee!! It can be quite difficult to find good coffee when travelling but this was the best coffee I had while in Australia!!! The Vegan Chorizo Beans were pretty spicy and it was more of a building spice than I would typically like but it was very flavorful still and I really appreciated the option. The atmosphere was great, a very cute cafe.

The ambience was okay — they’ve made an effort to give it a Japanese touch, but it didn’t fully come through. A big downside was the curtains near the seating area; they weren’t clean 🤢. I’d recommend avoiding those spots. The food was decent overall, but overpriced for the quality. The Yama balls were overstuffed and dry, and the tempura eggplant was also dry. Some of the tempura dishes tasted like they weren’t freshly made and may have just been air-fried. The ramen was good, though. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and attentive.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt like I had too. Now I have had some amazing Japanese in my life, and with the reviews and prices at takayama that’s what I expected, but it fell hugely short. After getting mansplained the menu, which was 100% unnecessary .. (not hard to understand small plates and mains?) We ordered a salmon roll and some chicken / pork for our small plates. And heck, they aren’t kidding when they say small!!!! I was expecting a long sushi roll that you’d normally pay $18 for in any authentic Japanese restaurant, but when they walked out with our measly 4 tiny pieces of salmon sushi for $18 I legit laughed. Next up was the chicken and pork skewers, $18 for two skewers (from memory) and yet again, I laughed, the skewers were the size of a finger… now you might be thinking “well how did it taste” and yeah, okay? But nothing to write home too. The sushi roll looked like I had rolled it, and the pork was kinda dry. So I’m sitting there furious already. Next comes the mains- which thank god were of a decent size, but again for taste- nothing to write home about. We left after paying our ridiculous bill and went to Woolworths to buy more food because we were still hungry. There’s inflation, and then there’s greed and this is exactly what it was. Greed. Taking advantage of the fact that there’s no other competition in town. Save your money and buy a meal up the mountain instead. Atleast Perisher portion sizes match the price. I’ve attached a photo of the $18 per plate skewers. I’ve also added a photo from a different sushi restaurant to show the rough size of the roll you’ll receive for $18. (Note , that sushi roll in the photo only cost me $5.50 and tasted way better) thanks

Stefan is a delightful host and we were made to feel very welcome at Takayama. The food was excellent, and the Ramen compares to our experience in Japan a few months ago. Wonderful ambience and highly recommended, but do book ahead in the high season as it is very popular.

- Called to place order to save time, declined. - No one mentioned any wait time when placing the order, only mentioned to us that 6-8 small dishes for 2 is good amount and the window time is 2hrs, which was a waste of time explaining when there are small and large dishes. We have been to Japan and Japanese restaurants in Australia. Waiting time was 45minutes for ramen. - After travel from 5am in the morning, arrived the restaurant 5:45pm, we were starving. Waited for 45minutes after placing the order, we asked the staff whats the normal waiting time, staff said the main comes later and left. no service, extremely rude. - Then a male staff walked to us, rudely again said to us “it’s the type of Japanese food, main comes last, and look, we are busy”. - Left us with rudeness and of course confusions whether we have been to rude to ask the waiting time and our food. - The pork ramen which were recommended in many reviews, was fairly average (2/5), I would never order again this was my experience when I was eating it, only because I paid the price and avoid waste. - Staff came to us asked if everything was okay. We left with no mood to talk, only wanted to finish the meal and leave the place. The place is not a fine dining place, and no one explained the wait time and other things. - When we pay for the pills, I have to asked again what is the normal waiting time to clarify this for my review. Staff said 45minutes is normal. The male staff said the takeaway before us waited for 1hour. Putting this comment as I believe there’s lots of improvements for the services, quality of food, etc. I am sure there will be competitors see your weakness and easily becoming a threat. Food: 2/5 service2/5 atmosphere2/5. Definitely not a fine dining place, nor an authentic Japanese. A burger sounds better and quicker. Plus the services just terrible.

Food was pretty poor from what I received, I ordered the Katsu Chicken, it came with sushi rice and a bland, tasteless salad, this is topped with TOO much of their signature sweet sauce to the point I had to manually scrape the sauce off my chicken katsu, which would end up on the rice, making the rice taste disgusting. This is topped of with a hole in my wallet as it was priced at $34 for a poor, small serving of chicken katsu. Expensive. EDIT: 5 minutes after eating this, I got the hiccups and I am not surprised.

We visited for dinner as a group of 5 and got a selection of starters to share and a main meal per person. The service is very friendly and efficient. The food was wonderful and I would highly recommend the Gyozas and the Pork Ramen (with chilli oil). Overall it was a great night and we will definitely be returning.

Attended on a Thursday night ordered from bistro by a young man who really needs some training on customer service, his service was terrible very uninterested when he took our order and when I went up to ask if he could find out how long my order was going to be his response was “ na” then proceeded to show me the line of dockets stating where mine was, I said I would like to know how long to ask the chefs he says na they get angry when I ask? I said it’s a reasonable question and I will ask the chef which I did over the counter to be told 5min. Really put a bad taste on the whole night Grateful the food was nice

Decent place to go for lunch or a quit beer. Our food took well over an hour on what I thought was a quiet day, we also noticed our food sat on the kitchen window for about 10 minutes before being brought to us. The food itself was pretty decent all be it warm and not hot. The Play Centre inside is good for young kids but can be a bit wild in there.

Visited on a Wednesday night during the winter school holidays. There was no indication of expected wait time when placing our order. Unfortunately, our three meals took 2 hours and 20minutes to be prepared, finally ready at 9:40pm. The shift supervisor and front-of-house staff were courteous and accommodating, and a refund was respectfully provided. We were advised the extensive delay was due to significant understaffing in the kitchen. It’s disappointing to witness the downstream impact of such poor kitchen staffing and / or kitchen management on both staff and customer experience.

Had the beef schnitzel. It was editable, but not great. Had to wait over an hour for it to arrive. The surroundings were very nice & comfortable, and even though the place was busy could easily carry on a conversation.

I've always been happy with the meals in the bistro until now. Yes it's reasonable in price. The last 2 meals my partner and I have had in the last month have been ordinary. Not what we have previously experienced . Gone a little bit south and will probably eat at home before coming down to the club in future.

I missed out on Pinot this time, but Hannah is a next level host. You’re making a huge mistake if you come to Jindabyne and miss out on this. What a lovely place to take a load off and enjoy a lovely regional wine or 6, a cracking cheese platter and then a short wobble to wherever you’re staying. Can’t wait for ski season. I’ll be elbowing people out of the way to get here.

Great addition to Jindabyne drinking venues! Went opening night. Lovely staff that were friendly. Nice selection of wines (and beers), mostly from Australia. Typical wine bar prices. Great snacks as well, the shared grazing platter was delicious and dietary requirements can be catered for.

Friendly service in a nice location with a bit of views to the snowy mountains. We liked their wines and had that with bread. The bill came to $38. You may be able to say hi to Pinot the cute dog.

Amazing Experience at Pinot's Wine Bar in Jindabyne! On a Friday night, we enjoyed an incredible experience at this fantastic wine bar with some colleagues. The wine collection was exceptional, offering a wide range of options for all tastes. The place had a beautiful vibe, and the food was excellent. As a vegetarian, I was particularly impressed with the delicious options available. One of the highlights was that the bar is pet-friendly, and we had the pleasure of meeting Pinot, who was charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! I also got to experience a bit of the local culture, It was great to see the community come together and enjoy the evening. The owner, Ms. Hanna, took great care in ensuring everything was perfect, which enhanced the overall experience. I highly recommend visiting Pinot's Wine Bar if you're in Jindabyne. It was a perfect place to enjoy excellent food and superb wine with good company.

After skiing and view, this bar is undoubtedly the best thing about Jindabyne. Good selection of wine, great service, amazing atmosphere and just perfect place to end the day. Just love the vibes and coziness of this place.

Pinot’s delivers as it promises - a wine bar - with a relaxed yet classy vibe, a good and interesting selection of wines, some beers (try the ‘Watermelon Man’ - delicious sherbet undertones) and cider. The 2 of us had the ‘small’ cheese and charcuterie platter (Rokit’s tomato relish was a fab accompaniment) which was delicious but we struggled to get through it just because it was refreshingly generous! Great customer service - this is a wonderful addition to Jindy’s offerings. 🍻🍷🥂

The warm greeting from the skilled sommelier/owner, Hannah, set the tone for an amazing visit. A wonderful and diverse selection of wines plus a great accompanying food menu - all served up in a venue with an extremtly special atmosphere. Everything about this venue has been carefully considered and executed by Hannah. We stayed for hours. Whether you are a local or a visitor, Pinot's Wine Bar is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended. Bonus points for the doggo theme.

Booked for lunch as a stopover to Thredbo as we've been previously and loved their sticky date puddings so decided to go back. Food was good - the Schnitzel was actually the highlight this time! The sticky date sauce was a little sweet compared to what we remembered (the ice-cream helped soften this!) but it was still decent, especially if you prefer the denser texture with date pieces! It was a busy Saturday lunch so service was slightly slow and less attentive but overall, lovely vibes and surrounds! Good variety of schnapps too!

A wonderful spring experience to finally visit with a friend and my Assistance Animal. Free tasting, mouth watering afternoon tea. Staff are so friendly and service is top notch. Grounds are well kept and being a Vodka fan had to buy a bottle and surprised my tastebuds with Apple and Pear Schnapps! So great to meet one of the owners who's locally born and raised as I am. Will definately visit again. Thankyou to you all for taking extra time for our visit.

Butterscotch: This one’s a crowd favorite, and for good reason! Right from the first sip, you get hit with this amazing, sweet aroma that really draws you in. The taste is rich, creamy, and just downright indulgent. But after a couple of sips, it did start to feel a little too sweet, almost like dessert in a glass. Still, it’s perfect for those with a sweet tooth. 2. Peach: I really enjoyed the peach schnapps! It had a lovely scent, light and refreshing. The flavor was super smooth, with just the right amount of fruity sweetness. This is definitely a drink that’s easy to sip on and feels perfect for a sunny day. 3. Pear: Sadly, the pear schnapps didn’t quite do it for me. It tasted a bit too much like cough medicine. The flavor was kind of flat and not as enjoyable as the others. Definitely the least favorite of the bunch. As for the distillery itself, it's a great spot to hang out. They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose where you want to chill. The outdoor area is really spacious, with lots of room for kids to run around, and there are some cool sculptures scattered around to check out. It’s a nice mix of a laid-back vibe and a beautiful setting. Overall, Wildbrumby is definitely worth a visit. The schnapps tasting is a fun experience, especially if you’re a fan of unique flavors, and the whole place is perfect for a relaxing day out. Just make sure to go easy on that butterscotch unless you’re ready for a sugar overload!

Made a lunch booking here at the recommendation of a few friends. We had a really lovely time, the property is beautiful and the food & service were pretty good. Enjoyed a paddle od schnapps- peppermint, sour apple, and devils tongue (chilli) which was my favourite. Had some cheese and crackers, olives, and the pork sausages which were all really nice. Definitely worth the stop.

This place was very crowded at lunchtime, and we couldn't get an outdoor table since we hadn't booked in advance. We tried the pumpkin soup, cheese platter, and sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream. The pumpkin soup was a bit bland, and the cheese platter wasn't worth the price. However, sticky date pudding was really good. There is plenty of space for kids to play and a perfect view for photos. Ample parking available. Overall, I'd come back here just for the ambience.

It's a must visit place if you are travelling down to Snowy Mountains ! The location is beautiful and in midst of mountains . We enjoyed the pumpkin soup and the cheese platter. The staff are very welcoming and suggested us some good food ! Make sure you reserve a table before you go here as it can get packed .

Service from staffs was great but the dining a bit outdated. The ambiance a bit dull. Food came out quick. The BBQ ribs was on special from $35 to $25. Such a bargain. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me. Tabasco solved the problem. The scallop we had was not overcooked, just too much cheese. The garlic bread was jumbo size! We were hungry, so it was alright. I loved the margarita. I had two glasses. Overall, it was a nice local dining especially when you didn’t feel like to go anywhere far from your hotel room.

Firts night dinner. Tasty food. We had chilli prawn pasta and steak while the kids have kid meal (Hawaiian pizza with chip + ice cream + soft drink for $25) My husband booked online and he had to reserve 2 tables for 4 of us. We arrived a lady waiter told me that don't book online, no good booking system online. It's better that I call their receptionist or book direct with the restaurant. So when I paid for the meal, I have asked her to book us back tomorrow night at 7pm. and I asked her 3 times as if I knew it's going be a trouble later on because she did not give me any card booking or text message confirm booking. She said and wrote on a back of her receipt our booking for Tomorrow and keep saying I have booked for you guys tomorrow night. The next night we came back from the ski and arrived early so I came to ask the receptionist and was told there was no booking and blame on the staff that she should not book for us because they have a wedding on tonight. She was not apologies for the staff mistake and told me The staffs here are changed every day!!! So I guess the staffs don't care about the service because they know the guests are there for short stay and they won't meet again on the next day. The receptionist said it's only 5.30pm and gave me a list of other restaurants to go. terrible service!!! If we knew that we would eat at the mountain or elsewhere and would not come straight here after the ski. The kids were tired and hungry and got told we have no booking for dinner tonight!!! very poor service.

Ordered the steak that came with duck fat potatoes and veg. The potatoes served were not duck fat potatos. They were not cooked enough and had no crisp at all. Tasted ok but not as described. Spending $50 on a meal, would expect to be served a meal as per the menu or advised that the menu item had changes.

We visited for dinner as a group of five. I have rated the atmosphere as low mainly because finding a park is a nightmare. All the parking at the resort is for guests and unless you can find one of 5 spots right in front of the entrance you are out of luck. There is grass parking at the end of the resort however you will need a 4WD to get in and out and there is a risk of getting bogged if there has been rain. The food was pretty good and I would recommend the chili prawn pasta and the duck. The Korean chicken, however was super spicy, and it should probably say that in the menu. The service was excellent and the staff were all friendly and efficient. Overall a pretty decent experience, however I will only be returning when I'm a guest at the hotel, so I have somewhere to park.

Seriously great food. Great selection of local beers. More on the classy side but really great place to catch up with friends for food and drinks. I would go back again for sure.

New chef started a month ago. Food was incredible. 10/10 for all the dishes on our table. We couldn’t remember a meal we have enjoyed more.

Attended here last night and felt that the place has slipped since I came last year. Here are some of the reasons why. - The restaurant was cold inside to the point I didn’t take my outer layer off. - The table we were put on had trouble standing up by itself. - It was extremely dark in the area we were seated making reading menus impossible without night vision goggles. - Only one staff member serving behind the bar and taking orders which led to a 15minute wait to order a round of drinks. - Our food order was messed up (forgotten about) with me being pretty sure the last burrito we ordered not being correct. - Food took over 50mins to arrive despite us ordering before the crowd. Very hard to support local businesses when they mess up that bad. Hostess needs training also. I don’t like to give such poor reviews but the owner needs to pull it together.

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We had a booking for nine people, and they sat us at a table that barely fit six. Service was painfully slow, and when food finally did arrive, several of our orders were wrong. The staff didn’t seem organized at all, and it really took away from the whole night. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for good service or a place that can handle larger groups.

I ordered tacos from the Jindabyne Beach Burrito Co on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for pickup and it was honestly the messiest thing I've ever seen. They tasted nice, and I'm sure if I ate in the restaurant the chef would have put a little bit more effort into the appearance rather than taking all of his frustrations out on my tacos by throwing them across the kitchen. I couldn't differentiate between the meat tacos and the vegetarian ones, ingredients were missing and the chicken was a 90% batter 10% chicken.. I've supplied photos

Great place to break the snow standard. Fresh, quick food with a cool vibe. Has a variety of tables to suit any size group. Have mad Tuesday taco specials. Staff are friendly and fun. Good selection of Coronas. Not open in summer understandably.

Visited on taco Tuesday (half price tacos). Tacos were small and stingy on the meat toppings. They were not good value at $3 each, so I'd definitely avoid paying full price for them. Probably would've been more full eating a burrito than 5 tacos.

Was at perisher for skiing. Had dinner at this place for two night. Great environment, fabulous food ( steak salad was really tender and perfectly cooked ), amazing drinks and awesome service!

We ordered what they called an enchilada but it was more of a gross vinegary soup with soggy tortillas and chicken pieces. Easily the worst Mexican meal we've ever had. Such a shame because everything else was good.

The Cafe is small and not to busy. Limited parking nearby. Seating inside and out. The menu is basic but nice. The view is really nice but the tables are dirty. Coffee was bitter but my smoothie was really nice. Breaky was very flavourless. Wouldn't really recommend.

An unexpected surprise and a lovely spot for a coffee or light meal! We wandered into The Market and enjoyed the well marked allergy friendly menu, as well as the friendly staff and nice aesthetic vibes. This place is a combo cafe and whole foods store, although as their signage says - if you’re in a rush, it’s probably not the place for you! The food was lovely when it came, and it was a great spot if you’ve got a bit of time to sit and chat.

We found this café by chance while out and about. The iced coffees were delicious and tasty, so was the brownies. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the business also has a small organic grocery shop in addition to the café. We fell in love with this place and would definitly recommend it!

Stopped in for a bite on the way back to Canberra and I'm so glad we did! The staff were so friendly and I always appreciate when people in hospitality are welcoming. It always makes the experience better. On top of that, the food was delicious and the general vibe of the place was great.

Quality burger and nice staff. This bar really has their sauce game down pat. Tasty, beef patty grilled with an appropriate amount of char with fresh ingredients and a solid bun. The chips were beer battered which made them well worth getting.

Greeted by the owner in a very welcoming and friendly way. It's good to see someone so invested in their own business. Not disappointing the food was excellent, the bar staff had a great sense of humour and were enjoying themselves but also very helpful, even allowing me to taste the wine so I could ensure it was too my liking. My daughter thought this was one of the tastiest burgers that she ever had. The ambience to this place was fantastic with a really good vibe. I love good spaces like this. Really well designed and I felt very comfortable and relaxed and also very full.

I had a very delicious meal at Holly's after hiking Charlotte's Pass - a perfect portion and well deserved treat (noting, I probably (definitely) ate for two haha). I had the lamb kofta which was fresh and a good balance of that rich middle eastern flavouring, paired with their truffle fries, which were perfectly seasoned and came with plenty of sauce-age - always appreciated!! My interactions with the staff were also really positive and they were just down to earth, really lovely people. I hope to be back on my next trip!

We visited here on a planned day off from a bad ski day. There were four in our party, and we had made a booking the previous day. This casual country-style restaurant is located across the road from the well-known Wild Brumby Distillery. On entry, we were greeted by the farm cat sunning itself in the window. The restaurant has a warm timber-lined raked ceiling, an open fireplace (not in use), and a mix of local and international art. The outlook is north over an external courtyard, which would be a popular spot on a warm, sunny day. We ordered beers to start while we perused the menu. We opted for the three-course menu at $85/head. While we each had our own dishes, we also shared and tasted everything—a great choice. 1st Course • Sugar-cured salmon with pickled cucumber and dill mustard sauce – The salmon was very fresh, subtle, and soft. I liked the pickled cucumbers, and the dill sauce tied it together well. • Deep-fried ricotta-stuffed zucchini flowers with aioli – My better half ordered this, but I ended up eating most of it. The batter didn’t look as light as it actually was—perfectly crisp, with a gentle ricotta filling and tender zucchini. • Pork, hazelnut, and prune terrine with spiced grape chutney and pickles – I tried a small mouthful; fresh and well-balanced. Main Course • Three of us chose the Braised beef cheek with sweet potato purée and mushroom ragout – My wife makes this dish very well; this was equally as good. Rich, hearty, and full of flavour. Every plate was cleaned. • I had the Whole baked local rainbow trout with caper and herb butter – Perfectly cooked and well-sized, with a butter sauce that matched beautifully. To share, we enjoyed a bottle of Whitehaven Pinot Noir 2022, Marlborough, New Zealand. While it wasn’t a perfect match for any single dish, it was a well-rounded, easy-drinking wine that complemented the variety of flavours across the table. Dessert • Chocolate mousse – Not on the menu as there was only one left, so I claimed it. Soft, velvety, and paired perfectly with cream. The meringue wasn’t to my taste. • Banana and date pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream – My wife makes a similar version, and this was just as good. Subtle banana flavour and perfectly matched with vanilla bean ice cream. • Buttermilk pannacotta with pineapple and pomegranate syrup – Silky texture and subtle flavour. I found the syrup balanced the dish well, though a friend thought it was too sweet. • Pecan and blueberry tart with blueberry compote – Ordered as a chocolate tart, but this was served instead. No complaints—it was excellent. We paired dessert with glasses of Lillypilly Noble Harvest Botrytis Semillon, a luscious, sweet wine with rich fruit flavours that complemented each dessert beautifully. All in all, a cosy, fun experience with friendly staff and great food. Our friends have a booking tonight, and we’ve assured them they’re in for a great night. Talk about spoiled for options. We arrive to a homely greeting, where the lovely white staff entertained us with information and stories of their culinary exploits. We spoiled ourselves with the intoxication of local wines that thrilled our taste buds. Followed by the daily specials, to which I had the sardines that pleased me. The Panna cotta dessert was definitely a standout, and the way they handled our messy child at the table was also very much appreciated. Can’t wait to return here in the many years to come when we return as a family.

We were a group of 10 for lunch on Tuesday during summer. We phoned ahead to ensure they were opened as it's not peak season in Jindabyne. This place was recommended by our Airbnb host and definitely Sydney prices with $68 for 2 courses and $30 for kids meal. I liked the part of the dining room they placed us at which was nice and light with a long table. The restaurant felt quaint and rustic and had a massive fireplace which undoubtedly would be lovely in winter Most of us ordered 3 courses and we had 2 kids meal as well. The food was generally pleasant but given the name I would expect food to feature farm to table but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I liked the flavour of my trout and dill sauce although it was odd to serve the fish as pictured without its own sides which didn't feel like a complete meal. I tried and liked some of the other dishes which included pork belly (had a great crispy skin and syrupy sauce), crab souffle ( was nice and fluffy although not too much crab flavour), cauliflower blue cheese soup ( predictable flavours). The duck though was a let down as it was pretty dry. The desserts were overall pleasant. They did give us crusty bread to start and a bowl of steamed veg and chips as side which wasn't a lot for the 8 of us to be honest and the chips were underdone. I think perhaps it was quiet that kitchen wasn't on the top game but my rating was based on the price we paid relative to quantity and quality.

Words cannot begin to express how wonderful my recent stay at Crackenback Farm was, but nonetheless I’m going to take a crack at it (*insert pun joke applause). The farm is a quaint little property about ten minutes from Jindabyne. The rooms are super comfy and well designed (our room could have easily housed two parents and two children). Dinner at the restaurant was a highlight. Thursday night was their seafood night special, so a plethora of both classical French and modern Asian seafood dishes were on the menu. My baked whole ocean trout was utterly divine. They have eight desserts on the menu and I highly recommend ordering one of their tarts if it’s available. But my standout experience from staying at Crackenback Farm was the hospitality of Jodie, the venue’s owner. My brother and I were planning to hike up Mount Kosciusko the following day, so Jodie offered to make us bacon & egg rolls to eat in the car for our early morning drive, and packed sandwiches and fruit for our lunch during the trek. We were both humbled and thankful for her generosity to make not only our stay, but our trip to the Snowy Mountains an enjoyable experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying or dining or both at Crackenback Farm, and I look forward to returning one day soon.

We went here for dinner in April 2021. Lovely meal, really hearty and filling. Great seasonal menu and good wine list. Can get a little loud when it's full. Staff were nice, but didn't ask to take coats or pour water etc. That's fine, but the expectation of a tip after that was a little rich. Not a cheap meal either! Would definitely go back. Update September 2023: Well, it's 2023 and we did go back, this time with our baby daughter. The food and drinks are still excellent. We did get an unexpectedly cool reception on arrival at the restaurant, however the waiter was very apologetic and made up for this in spades. We will be back next time we are up holidaying in Crackenback!

The most delicious cauliflower and blue cheese soup and amazing chicken and herb baguette for lunch today. Food obviously prepared with love and skill. Can't recommend highly enough.

This place was the best value for money to eat in the area. Very well priced and the portion sizes were spot on. Thai fillet could have been slightly larger however, the BLT was HUGE! They forgot the cheese for the kids cheese burger 🤣 also great to see they did not have any gaming. Service was a bit relaxed, was definitely a local 😊 If we ever make it back there will make sure we have a feed at this pub.

Our first time experience stay 2nights 3 days accommodation in Jindabyne NSW, Lake Jindabyne Hotel. Our room has access to the beautiful Lake at the back, morning sunshine and afternoon so nice to walk. Meanwhile Hotel services nothing to complain about, complimentary free breaky is good to start with each day, food is freshly prepared, car park is infront door of our room accessibility, so choose the ground floor I best recommend, room is enough for 3 pax, with complimentary coffee tea sugar mini bags, towels , toilet bathroom facility is separated which is good. Staff members are accommodating hope it’ll be practice at all times. The location is accessible to shops groceries petrol ATM banking, a meat pie shop is delicious meaty beef chunk. We still have tomorrow to enjoy our stay in LJH,,

It's been 8 years since I stayed here and wow what a shock I got when we saw our room this time round! Initially, I thought it was a little pricy since I went last but I can say I got value for money! The new building is incredibly aesthetic and warm! There was plenty of room and towels for our family of 5. Kids loved their own tv. The hot breakfast was as good as before, if not better. Still love the central location in town and a quick walk to pubs and clubs and lake views. Down fall is that there is no toilet upstairs in the master room of the family suite and no full-time reception.

We stayed here for a couple of nights during the winter school holiday. It has been an excellent experience. The check in process was fast (drove straight to the designated parking in front of the room and opened the door using codes in the email); the room was welcoming and clean, with a fabulous view over the lake; the bistro was warm and served good value food; the breakfast was standard though well presented; best of all, it is a great location close to the snowy mountains.

We love the 'Jindy Hotel'. It's had the same manager (Graham/Pops) for many years and we're always welcomed back by him and his team. I always had the daily special for dinner. The pork sausage pasta on the Sunday was great!! Location is perfect with a short walk to the rest of town. There's a really cool chairlift sculpture down by the water (head down and turn right) you should check out if you have the time.

Best hotel I’ve ever come across. What stood out was the included breakfast! Perfect before a snow day. Only critique is they need a cafe added onto the premises. The loft lodge king suit was next level! Highly recommend.

Staying at the Lodge was amazing. So new, so clean, such good value. Lovely big comfy beds in super spacious rooms. We travelled with a baby and it was so safe for her to crawl around everywhere. Great to have a few drinks next door too.

The first thing we do after we book our accommodation is make our reservations for our family of 4. The most delicious authentic, freshly cooked variety of food. Run by a married couple who are the loveliest people. The space is a stunning, quaint & beautifully decorated. Our dinners here always transport us to a magical place.

I wish I could give 1000 stars to this great Persian restaurant. I did not expect to see a Persian restaurant in such a small city. Food was absolutely fabulous, atmosphere backed me to my lovely Persian country & culture and music was authentic. We really enjoyed staying & eating there and it is the best Persian restaurant I have ever tried in Australia. One of the most magical restaurants I have been to in Australia. Ate the best vegetarian stew I have ever had. Delightful entrees, exquisite dips and delicious dessert pastries as well. Beautiful flavours, super fresh and really authentic Persian cuisine with a focus on the type of food eaten in the mountainous regions of North Iran. Feels like stepping into a different world. Reza (the owner) has an awesome life story and spent a ton of time just chatting to us about life in Iran and his past experience as a pro skiier. I would have paid double for an experience this good. Will absolutely be back again when next in Jindabyne. Do not miss it.

A great Persian Cafe with cool decor and an authentic vibe that makes you feel like you've been transported somewhere else. The food was delicious and authentic. I had the Sanbosag, Camel and Pashmak (Persian Fairy Floss) and was pleasantry surprised by how delicious everything was. The customer service was also excellent, with the friendly staff managing to fit me in between bookings even though they were already fully booked. I highly recommend Darya Cafe!

If you are after some authentic Persian foods, try cafe Darya, then, friendly staffs ,usually fully booked, so book in advance , No Kabab BTW , byo and cash only , you will like it :) Update 5 years later I really like the consistency in the taste of the foods as well as the service in this little cafe in Jindabyne. The owner is one of the modest chefs I've ever met, knowledgeable and humble. The dishes you try in cafe Darya are somehow of the forgotten persian cusines that grandmas used to cook back in the old days. I can't recommend this cafe highly enough.

Wonderful cosy corner restaurant (book, they fill quickly!), & attentive & excellent staff. Delicious traditional Persian menu, dishes are shared with rice for the table. We had the prawns & slow cooked goat, both with a great sauce, & were lucky enough to get the crispy rice from the bottom of the cooker when asked for more! Chef was friendly & came out to chat about food & his culture

We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary here and enjoyed all the dishes we ate. Such a nice tucked away Persian restaurant in Jindy. Highly recommended. We had the the kuku (frittata) and the the pastries = veg. For mains we had the lamb and the beef. Sorry I don't remember the names but we have pics. So delicious and would come back next year 👍🏼

Food is fine but if you’re on a hurry to continue the drive, never stop here. Waited 1 hour or more just to get breakfast. Place is not that packed but surprisingly slow for them to deliver food.

30/03/2025 The food here is pretty good, but the prices are on the higher side and the wait time for dishes is quite long — not ideal for those with limited time. Today’s special was a bit too salty, but the bread was impressively crispy from the first bite to the last — really well done.

Really loved the chill vibes here! The coffee was good-smooth, rich, and satisfying. The food was pretty good too, definitely above average. But the real highlight is the atmosphere, it makes you want to stay all day. A perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends.

Thr place is easy to find. Parking and shops nearby. We made a booking but they have a lot of seating so it isn't nesscasary. The menu is large and has a lot of options. We got two coffees a mushroom toastie and the smashed avo. Honestly it was underwhelming, coffee was average and the smashed avo was super overpriced. Only got one slice of toast and had to pay extra for the bacon. Left feeling hungry and ripped off. Toaster was average and the mushrooms made the bread soggy. Wouldn't recommend

If you are looking to have a good breakfast in Jindabyne then you should visit this cafe. Everything we ordered tasted good and had a decent portion size. Only let down was their coffee :(. They also had coloring books and some other board games to occupy the kids, so thumbs up for that. The staff were really nice and welcoming too.

The vegetarian big brekkie at PARC in Jindabyne is an absolute standout 🌿🍳. Generous portions, beautifully balanced flavors, and super fresh ingredients. The halloumi was perfectly grilled, the eggs were cooked just right, and the mix of roasted veggies added so much heartiness. It’s the kind of breakfast that keeps you full without feeling heavy. The staff were super friendly and attentive specifically Jorden and Evan, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed with a lovely mountain-town charm. Definitely one of the best vegetarian breakfasts I’ve had in a while. worth the stop!

Nice little fish & chip shop. The service was friendly and the portions generous for a reasonable price. A very enjoyable meal despite the grilled fish being way over cooked. The badass snowmobile that looks like it came off the set of Mad Max out front of the shop is also a great touch.

The fish and chips as well as the calamari are really great! The home made tartar sauce is generous in quantity and tastes really awesome! I wouldn't have initially thought it but mixing it with chicken salt really enhances the flavour. Also the staff are really friendly 😊

Actually quite nice seafood and quite prompt cooking. Really enjoyed the potato scollops!!! We got the $55 meal with fish, chips potato scallops and calamari and it was more than enough for 4 people (more like 6 really). They even specially made a piece of fish for my son with allergies. Only negative was that there is a $10 minimum on card purchases which is very 2001...

Our fish was cooked perfectly (both battered and grilled), generous serve of hand-cut chips. Loved it so much we went back a second time! Super friendly staff too. So glad we found this place during our weekend stay in Jindabyne.

The chips were crisp but no salt added (requested plain salt), the flathead tails were tasty but the calamari wasn’t real and lacked flavour, the chicken burger passed the teenager test but despite asking for no tomato, it had been added. Across the fish and the calamari there was only one small wedge of lemon, and because there wasn’t any salt the seafood tasted quite oily. The online order took twice as long as advised and the price was wrong. If we weren’t on our way home I would have gone back into the store to complain. The kids were nice, but the older lady was a bit gruff.

We spotted the pizza vending machine on the way through Jindabyne and decided to grab a pizza for the novelty of it. You can imagine the look on my face when this good looking thing popped out in just under 5 minutes. It was tasty and we were pleasantly surprised.

This restaurant put out possibly the best Italian food I have ever had. My partner and I were visiting Jindabyne from Canberra for our anniversary a couple of weekends ago, and booked a table at La Famiglia for dinner on our first night. The food was so good, we came back again the following night for round 2! Every dish (on both nights) was 10/10 amazing. The calamari we had for entre was delicious, cooked to perfection, and the pizza was absolutely perfect. Thin base with a chewy crust, and beautiful fresh toppings. Thank you for 2 beautiful dinners guys, we will certainly be visiting again soon!

Turned up about 7pm to be greeted by a pizza vending machine. Cooks it for you, not bad. Can’t complain. $19 for a decent pizza in the area.

Best pizza we've ever had. Worth a visit. Diavoletta and The Goat are 10/10. Despite being swamped the wait staff were courteous even with some rude karens coming in demanding tables.

Update: Feels like La Famiglia has changed hands in 2024 and is trying some new things. Good pizza. Hands down better than Domino's. But not the smash it out of the park pizza of previous years. -- Smashing. Delicious and simple Italian food, served up in no time. Great service from the local crew. Small space, but not overcrowded. Definitely worth booking ahead in the busy winter season. The Grifter brews 🤣 would be a nice addition for sure, but the fantastic food & service is what is going to keep people coming back. I'll definitely remember this place the next time we come through Jindabyne.

Only negative part was the door didn’t open easily. However a staff member came to the rescue and welcomed us in with a huge smile. Great food and service. Even caters to vegetarians. Party of 8 people food was served quickly to all of us.

Very rude service, not welcoming at all and do not recommend this take away food at all, the lady that was serving me didn’t understand what I was mentioning so she seemed like she called the owner I’m guessing which came to see what I was after and started raising her voice as if I didn’t no what I was talking about and was extremely rude I have never seen such service or attitude with a business at all, this ridiculous and do not recommend this place to anyone wanting Thai in that area. Only 5 minutes away was a beautiful Thai resturant and the service was excellent.

A takeaway shop, 2 tables outside but Jindabyne is freezing . Standard Time mains are about $18 each and $4 for a large rice. Quality of the food though was pretty good

Awesome thai at good prices We got the lunch specials at $11 which made it affordable. I understand why people say that they waited a long time as there is only one person working (I'm guessing the owner). I had panang curry which is my go to dish and it was up there with some of the best. Only downside is that there is not much seating, so if it's busy be prepared to take your food elsewhere :)

Ordered some delicious takeaway dinner tonight and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. No sign of an abusive lady mentioned in the previous comments, the lady who served me was lovely. The fresh fish cakes were indeed excellent as was the satay chicken skewers and Pad Thai.

The lady that served me was lovely and pleasant and served me with a big smile. She appreciated that I knew what I wanted off the menu and didn’t waste her time as she was very busy. 3 customers picked up takeaway whilst we waited. The order was completed in 15 to 20 minutes just as she had said. The food was super tasty and fresh, not as much spice as places in big cities, but still very enjoyable. I can only think that those on here that are leaving negative reviews were rude themselves or didn’t know what they were ordering.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is only because of the lady at the shop. She might be the owner. She is rude and exploiting the staff. I could tell that it’s not a one time thing by the expression on the staff who took our order. I could only see one person in the kitchen. Felt so sorry about the staff there. Food was not that great. But it was okay. Portion size was okay. But very stingy with meat. Only 3 prawns in the Tom yum soup. 😂 And I don’t think there was at least 4 pieces of chicken in my fried rice. Food is TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE, for minimum quality. The wait time was 45 minutes. This was probably because the restaurant was under staffed and the lady is taking too many orders that the only 2 staff ( as I saw) can handle. I would not go there again.

Having skied all day I was quite hungry and tired so ordered a massamam curry take away. I phoned through my order and went to collect. They'd rung to say it was ready ( good)but when I arrived they seemed unsure where my order was. I was located but when I went to eat it, I found, to my disappointment, only 3 pieces of beef swimming in a tub full of sauce. Costing almost $30, I felt ripped off.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing and great value for money. I had the fish and chips — perfectly cooked — and the fresh salad was a nice touch. The pumpkin soup of the day was rich and full of flavour. Service was friendly and efficient. I also really enjoyed the chai latte! Definitely a top breakfast spot in Jindabyne. Highly recommended!

We had our breakfast today and the food was surprising. We ordered a meal with oats, granola, and fruits. It took a while to arrive, considering the place was almost empty when we got there. We missed having some background music. The staff was very attentive and kind.

Had an ice chai and a breakfast wrap. Unlike other places you could actually taste the chai not just cold milk. I was able to substitute my sauce on the wrap, it was hot and delicious. Excellent portion size and value for money.

We sat down at 10.50am & advised the staff there were 6 of us and wanted breakfast. They sat us down and gave us menus. Right before 11am we got up to order and they advised us we couldn’t have breakfast anymore & if we wanted to order lunch it was going to be an hours wait! The cafe was barely half full at the time. No effort was made to approach our table to inform us of the wait. The way they spoke to us was dismissive and unfriendly. Will not go back…

Awesome burgers!! We had Big Burgers that came with bacon caramelised onion, cheese, aioli and more. Superb service from well-trained staff: one of us is Gluten Intolerant and as well as making the burger with GF bread, the staff immediately disclosed the chips are fried in oil that could have traces of gluten, so swapped them for a salad.

Food and drinks were adequate. The real issue was with the table water. First bottle came out cloudy with particles in it. I went to the counter and asked for a new one, but instead of just immediately swapping it, the staff member took it away and slowly drained it upside down in the sink whilst I stood waiting at the counter Second bottle was also cloudy. Showed them again. A third bottle was pulled from the fridge, clearly bad too as the staff held the bottle up, checked it and then just put back in the fridge to retrieve a forth that finally was clean Mind boggling choices.

Rooms were nice and spacious but the duty manager was not at all welcoming, accommodative or friendly. We requested for an early check in which he grumpily denied, which was fine as Xmas times are busy for most hotels. We were travelling as a group of 7, we wanted to get take away and eat in the common area, the hotel had a large common area / lounge / restaurant / gaming room with signs however upon trying to open the door it was locked. It had notices with a mobile number to ring if it was locked. When we rang, the same duty manager said it wasn't accessible without even letting me complete my sentence. The room had basic kitchenware but no sink to clean everything after use (which is a pre requisite upon check out). It wasn't great trying to clean a bowl of noodles in the bathroom. Overall, decent value for Xmas times but wouldn't stay here otherwise.

I was very disappointed at the state of the room for the money we paid. It had not been properly cleaned so we couldn't let the baby on the floor, I had to clean the bathtub before the kids got in. Door only had 1 lock and didn't feel safe. Fridge was to small for even 2 nights worth of food and had to work with only a microwave and kettle. The location was good, close to town, but instead of pumping guest through constantly- rooms are in need of a revamp.

This is the second season we've visited the Siesta Villa restaurant. Last season, our experiences were so good that we were excited to return this year. Unfortunately, this time the service didn't meet our expectations, possibly due to the presence of a large group at the time. On our second night, we brought my Mum and arrived around 8 pm. There was no one at the bar to serve us, and we stood there for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. Knowing it was late, we had called ahead from our accommodation just 2 minutes up the road and were assured that if we arrived within 10 minutes, we’d be fine for dinner. Sadly, after waiting without any service or recognition, we decided to leave. Overall, it was disappointing, especially since we had raved about the place to friends and family and had been looking forward to returning all year.

Had a wonderful time here with the kids this week. Crisp white linen and very clean and open fires in the reception. Very good value for the snow and for the family. Manager was great, always available and working, staff very friendly. Torn my MCL on the snow so spent a lot of time in hotel when family skied and was very relaxing.

I am shocked at the condition of the hotel rooms. They are so dingy. The paint is peeling off of the doors and walls. For the cost I expected at least clean and maintained but the property is very old and looks to be falling apart. They charged an extra 220 for my children to stay even though we booked a family room that sleeps six. The doors cannot lock from the inside and the chain locks seem to have been removed. It does not feel safe.

2 nights here, rooms were spotless and very comfortable, extra blankets in the cupboard as it got cool overnight, plus reverse cycle air-conditioning. Everything we needed in the room.to make tea coffee etc. Chairs and table out on the deck for afternoon cuppa plus a fully equipped clean BBQ. Breakfast was provided the shared dining area with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, croissants, tea coffee juice in a spotless clean setting. Over all a great value option for our stay just out of Jindabyne.

We had a lovey time at villa Siesta. The rooms are clean, there’s soap, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms, the rooms were kept warm with the air con and shower water was perfectly warm. The staff is lovely and friendly. Overall a very comfy place! Some extra positives: if you can, go for the rooms with the lake view. We loved waking up to the beautiful lake Jindabyne and cockatoos flying around the tree in the backyard. It’s genuinely a nice place to unwind and relax!

Super friendly staff. Laidback vibe but quick service. Your expected bacon and egg roll type breakfasts plus full range of coffees. Lots of burgers to choose from. Also seafood (but didn’t see anyone order any seafood). Small coffee $3, medium $4 and (very) large $5.

Best lunch/brekky in town!

Mountain Munchies is a fantastic spot! The burgers are absolutely delicious and packed with fresh ingredients. You can really taste the quality in every bite. A great place to stop by.

Ordered the bacon double cheeseburger with a side of chips around lunchtime. Service was friendly and prompt, portion size great, and the burger was one of the best I’ve had in a good while. No complaints at all for $18

This place is such a great spot. Generous serving sizes (burgers are great) and well priced. Service is laid back and friendly. Gets busy during peak times but well worth the wait for a good feed.

No disappointed to starting from Seasn Terrace Cafe for our 2nd day at Perisher. The lady shopkeeper is nice and good courtesy, the barista is very gentleman. That’s why they are worthy to get 4 stars although the food quality is average. But, the soul of a good breakfast is a mug coffee, we like it.

It is an ok place. The Good: - Welcoming staff - Good coffee The Bad: - The place was not clean when we went there - Food is overpriced. It is ok if it tastes good but the things we ordered were all tasted average. The yogurt for kids was bad and the kids left it only after taking one spoon. - Also the price to portion ratio is bad. There are definitely better options for breakfast around the area. ——————————— UPDATE 5/10/23: I am really not surprised by your reply. Looking at all your replies to people who have given you lower rating it seems you are in the habit of blaming your customers instead of taking the feedback and improving upon it. Yum! Stumbled across this place this morning & I must say it’s awesome. Wholesome vibes, great coffee & great food. Compliments to the chef indeed, she listened to what I asked for and that’s exactly what I got. Great value for money too.

We have been coming to Seasn for a long time now and it’s always so consistent. The staff are lovely, the coffee is great and the food is spot on. Always so relaxing just sitting out on the terrace having an amazing coffee and muffin (you’ve got to try these), looking north to the lake.

Excellent service and great meals. We had the Vegan big breaky and the Peak Mega breaky (w/o bacon) and we both absolutely loved it! The meal size was great and it tasted incredible! We will definitely be recommending this place to others and will be returning next time we are in town. The staff were also great and there is plenty of seating outside if you have dogs too.

Loved this place! Coffee was fantastic, the food was great and the staff were lovely. We got a vegan falafel wrap and took it on our hike. It was fantastic and I'm not even vegan so take my word for it!

This place is awesome! To quote my 7yr old "this is beyond good, it's perfect!" The food is absolutely delicious and the staff so friendly, you really can't go wrong. So far the tacos are a personal hit but the side salad is almost as good as a meal on its own. Serving sizes are very generous for the price too, I think I've found my new favourite 😍

I ordered three different tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. The flavour combination of the fillings worked well for all the tacos and the meat was cooked nicely. My only negative would be the tortillas being a bit tough. The sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy, making the perfect complement. I also enjoyed the great selection of chilli sauces, which kicked off a series of flavour experimentation.

I was so pleased to find this café open on Good Friday (thank you so much!). I had the vegetable tacos and they were, hands down, the best tacos that I can remember eating. Chargrilled cauliflower plus all of the usual ingredients. I’m looking forward to the generous slice lemon cheesecake that I’ve bought to take back to my tent for dinner. The place is really busy for a public holiday and the staff are doing an amazing job, still friendly and smiling. Recommend 100%. I’ll come back again next time I’m in town for the same dish!

Margaritas went down far too well for a photo… hands down the best fresh food in town 🙌 Staff are always super lovely with food and drinks to match! Would highly recommend anyone to come try it out you won’t be disappointed! 💛

Bebitas is an absolute delight! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting, vibrant atmosphere. The food is outstanding — authentic and flavourful. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, the handmade tortillas were a standout, and the margaritas are to die for.

The place has a great outdoor setup to dine. We were a big group and ordered different dishes and they all tasted so fresh and amazing. The food takes about 30 mins and they mentioned that but it's so worth the wait. Good portion sizes friendly service. This is surely a gem in Jindabyne

Best Pizza in Jindy! The crust is perfection and great toppings. We had the lamb, the chicken and the meat lovers. All full of flavor and generous is size. Great series from staff and chilled out vibe. Whatever these operators are doing they are killing it!

Best pizzas in town for sure never had so crispy pizza like this great size, we got two slices & owner was so nice reccommend some great unique drinks & dessert. Will def. Be back next trip in furure when heading to Snowy Mountains Perisher resort, this the place for best food!

Dont, just dont. The reviews that say best pizza in Jindy are clearly friends and family, because we've had much better pizza here and pretty much everywhere else. A $22 cheese pizza that was pretty much an overcooked oily mess covered in garlic, which the kids had been begging for a cheese pizza for days quickly gave away for a jam sandwich. The $30 meatlovers was marginally better but i wouldnt rate it more than 2 stars, no love or thought about flavours that go together on an overcooked base. Told the wait was 30min which was correct, but we got a bonus 15min wait at no extra charge. We will never get pizzas here again, especially when plain bread and jam are the competition.

Pizza’s were good but after being rudely told by the front of house girl our order would take 40mins, we were still waiting over an hour lady. No apology or updates, just consistent eye contact avoidance. All around us people were receiving half their orders, wrong orders or no orders. We were then thanked sarcastically for our patience by the chef, as the front of house girl continued to ignore us. It was busy, I get that, but there is no need for the rudeness and sarcasm. Customer service fail and suggest ordering a few hours before you are hungry.

We purchased online a large order of 8 pizzas on last Friday night in the peak time. The staff were lovely, the pizzas were amazing and the service cant be faulted. Would recommend to anyone, thanks for making our night so easy. Thanks for the smiles and laughs.

Such a pity. We dined in twice this week and my kids liked the pizzas. We tried the pepperoni and lamb both of which were good. But the rating is a reflection of the entitled lady at the counter. Anything beyond ordering a pizza like asking for normal temperature water , requesting extra slices to be cut for kids will be met with attitude and stares. Not to mention there is no kid friendly seating. The high chairs are very uncomfortable . Do yourself a favour and find another pizzeria.

I came here expecting pizza — not to be ignored, insulted, and served a sad excuse for food after waiting over **an hour**. First, the staff looked like they were doing me a *favor* by even acknowledging I existed. Zero greeting, no eye contact, and when I asked politely how long the wait might be, I was hit with a heavy sigh and an eye-roll that could’ve cracked concrete. Charming. Then comes the *eternal* wait. I could’ve *flown to Italy*, harvested the tomatoes myself, milked the cow for the mozzarella, and still gotten a pizza faster than this place served theirs. And during that hour-long wait? Not one word from the staff. No apology. No update. Just cold stares and the occasional audible scoff. Hospitality at its finest. Now, to be fair — and this is literally the only thing keeping this from a zero-star black hole — the pizza actually tasted fine. Nothing mind-blowing, but decent. Which makes the entire experience even more frustrating. You finally get your food after 70+ minutes of being ignored and low-key disrespected, and you're too irritated to even enjoy it. To sum it up: **Rude staff, revolting service, and pizza that tastes like regret**. Save your time, money, and dignity — go literally anywhere else. This place is a culinary dumpster - NICOLE

Delicious food. Barramundi was very tasty, crispy skin. Perfect. Salad way too much salty (drinking water all night), grilled corn super. Husband had sticky 1/2 rack pork ribs and delicious chips. He was happy with the meal. Just a tip for the staff: with sticky ribs you should give wet tissues or water to clean the fingers and extra plate for bones.

The food here is fantastic! We came during happy hour and still left completely satisfied. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more of their dishes.

The music, cocktail and settings are so so cool! We ordered cocktails: Whiskey Sour and Spicy Margarita 💜 Flavours were on point! Absolutely delicious drinks!! We loved having drinks here! If we lived in the area, we would come back again and again for the drinks!!!

We had the scotch fillet steak with charred greens and chips. The herb butter on the steak was delicious! The steak was cold! A perfectly cooked cold steak. It’s 4°C outside, we were sat by the window which was clearly not double glazed. It was cold in restaurant. The chips were delicious. But the steak was so cold the herb butter didn’t melt at all! You need to heat the plates, keep the steak warm until the chips are cooked! Serve on a sizzling cast iron plate! Pretty disappointed for a $52 steak dinner Not really that much atmosphere - think everyone was just trying to stay warm.

Food was delicious and service was great, nice view of the lake and plenty of drinks to choose from. Now, why I’m sharing this bit is because I want to thank them for being so good with understanding gluten free. I ordered a gluten free burger, but there was a mistake in the kitchen and the burger was accidentally put on a surface that contained gluten (I get it, mistakes happen and this is the risk that comes with eating out when you’re a coeliac). In most restaurants, I reckon they’d just put the food out and not cared about the customer’s health but that did not happen here. Instead, the chef checked in with me about it and they were sincerely apologetic. Since it was Saturday night there were no more gf buns, after a quick chat they did it bunless and threw in some extra chicken and chips. TBH I reckon they’d could put what they served me on the menu instead of the burger and charged more. It was probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten and the slaw complemented it excellently. Chips were great too.

Last ski season, I would’ve rated this restaurant a 10/10. It was a hidden gem in Jindabyne that I was delighted to find and I visited multiple times. This ski season, I was excited to return and was sadly met by a very limited menu, with multiple main items unavailable and a half stocked bar. The food was average, it lacked seasoning and it was nothing like it used to be. I would not recommend if you are expecting the same menu as last year.

Tim and his crew are a great bunch of people. The care and detail Tim provides is top notch. Food Tim recommended was absolutely delicious 🤤🤤🥰 kudos to the chef 👨‍🍳 as well wow 🤩 even the Korean cauliflower married with the T-bone to share was divine.

Yes, the food is incredible - Yes, the live band had the entire pub on their feet! But the courtesy bus service, that’s what makes me leave 5 stars. Bray was safe, hospitable, had a great taste in music and gave us literal to the door service. The pub as a whole is fantastic, but Bray was the cherry on top of the sundae. Thanks for keeping us safe!!!

This place was great. We went boarding near end of season. $200 between 2 of us per night. Includes the most amazing buffet breakfast. Poached eggs bacon sausage. Yummy treats fruit eg it was all there. Thank you banjo we will definitely be back.

Unless you're staying nearby don't bother coming here. After calling and asking to be picked up by the courtesy bus, the lady said if we made our own way here that they would get us home. We drove here and left the car, and when requesting the bus home they said they don't drive during dinner service. They will lie to get you here and then refuse to take you home. I won't be coming back.

5 stars for cleanliness, locality and hospitality. It might be on the slight pricier side, but the convenience and clean rooms makes up for this. The restaurants in Banjo are good and the morning breakfast provided was very good too. We will come back!

We came in as tourists after seeing the social media post about Fireball Fridays and were excited for a good vibe. Unfortunately, the bartender was instantly rude the moment we walked in — it was honestly disgusting behaviour and made us feel so unwelcome. When you come into a town and spend money to support locals, you don’t expect to be treated with such disrespect. Staff like that completely ruin the experience and make people not want to return.

Last minute snow trip and found a room at the Banjo Patterson Inn. What a pleasant surprise- the location is perfect, staff were friendly, the rooms are newly renovated, clean and very comfortable, the included breakfast was amazing and a perfect start to a big day on the slopes. I will be staying again

Didn't stay here but the food was great. The pizza from overflow was delicious but the chicken scallopini was so unexpected delightful that i wanted more even being full already. I'll try to copy it at home.

Simply sensational. Went with the family after a day's skiing. Kids menu half cheeseburger =genius. The kids nuggets were crunchy and tasty. The spicy chicken burger was crispy, generous size, zesty slaw and zingy sauce. Outstanding. The highlight, however, was the maple bacon Mac and cheese. At just $9 for a side, I was worried that it was going to be small. Oh how wrong I was. The diced maple bacon with the gooey cheese was fantastic. We also had the all day brekky burger - includes a hash brown and onion ring for crunch - delicious. This place has the best selection of hot sauces I've seen in one place. The Rufus Teague apple mash was the perfect match for the maple bacon mac and cheese. Having colouring in and a collection of connect 4 games to play with is genius & the heating outside made sitting out there pleasant (even at 7pm in August). Staff were very friendly and upbeat.

Some of the best burgers ever! The pulled pork was sweet, smokey and absolutely delicious and the classic was super moist, tasty and awesome. Fries are well seasoned and very more-ish. Staff were super friendly and made for a great experience. Definitely a must stop for lunch or dinner! It's also the biggest collection of sauces I've ever seen.

Great burger joint for a tasty, filling feed. Ordered online via website, which was simple and fast. Burger was ready in 10 minutes during peak busy time on a Thursday night. Burger price was reasonable and comes with chips included. Heaps of sauces to choose from. Pretty hip decor and music, even has free arcade game you can sit at and play.

Excellent t proportions and decent prices, but for me it was too much. Towards the end of the meal, I felt sick from eating it and I normally love burgers I wouldn't reccomend this to anyone who has a weak stomach and can't take in too much food.

These burgers are incredibly tasty and they have a large international sauce selection you can add to your burger yourself. The shop pumps catchy tunes setting a welcoming scene and great selection of drinks. Top service, had a good laugh with the chef. Can't wait to go back.

If you like burgers and loaded chips with some old school hip hop and rap this is the place to be in jindabyne. Burgers are awesome and some of the plates available can make you explode.... many different chilli sauces to choose from if you love chilli that is. Few beers on tap and others available in bottles.Great atmosphere great food great decorations and great entertainment. While you wait or eat you can play a number of games available...such as connect 4, uno, board games and card games even coloured pencils for the kids. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakfast at Gotchi was absolutely divine. Some of the best quality waffles I’ve personally experienced tasting. Strawberry matcha latte was outstanding. Presentation was superb. Massive parking lot out front that fills up relatively quickly - ensure you arrive early to grab a spot! This cafe is a must for your Thredbo itinerary. 10/10

I had Bulgogi Rice Bowl yesterday and it was masarap (Filo word for “delicious”) paired with Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte. Today I had Kimchi Fried Rice with Chorizo as the friendly staff recommended and yes, it’s really tasty! Pleasant ambiance, clean toilet, great food, excellent coffee, friendly customer service. Salamat (Filipino word for “Thanks/thank you”) for the lovely muffins! Kamsahamnida to all the friendly staff, barista, chef and cashier. Hope to see you again soon! Fighting!

It's really good. We had the big breakfast and a serve of waffles with ice cream, strawberries and choc. Absolutely delicious. We are local, and this is our second visit in a week. Genuine, kind, caring service. Clean shop, good portion sizes. Food came quite quick.

Such a cosy cafe! I really liked it here. The white cheesecake was one of the best I’ve had in Australia. The almond cap was perfect, and the long black was good enough.

In Jindy, Gotchi’s breakfast is definitely worth a try! The portions are generous, the food tastes great, especially recommend their matcha latte!!

I'm gonna be generous with this and give it a 4. It's pub food, I don't expect anything amazing just that I get a good feed. Food had mixed reactions but was good for the most part. It's more expensive than usual but it's jindabyne, everything is going to be priced up. Portions were fine but there were not a lot of chips with our meals. I still recommend their beer battered fish and grilled salmon. Avoid the schnitzel. The pasta, steak are just okay. I don't usually get salad as a side but it was great here!

Earlier in the day, I was mistakenly given "potato" scallops when I ordered grilled salmon with scallops. So when I saw the same dish on the menu here, I had to go with it. The salmon was cooked perfectly (medium rare) with crunchy skin, but unfortunately, lost some crunch to the dollop of cream on top. The scallops were definitely from the ocean this time, but they were missing that golden crust. The serving was quite small so I bought some chips from the pizza counter upstairs and they were really nice and crunchy.

Bad food for what you pay. Service is not the best as well. I took my own plates to some bench top close to our table. I made eye contact with a couple of workers and non of them helped. Ani ways, we ordered dessert. A blueberry and almond tart that was pretty not nicely made. You could tell it wasn’t baked there and very cheap quality. With a tiny scoop of also cheap plane ice cream already melting because the plate was hot and the sweetest strawberry sirup also very cheap quality stuff. And a mars bar cheesecake that tasted like the ones at woolies. Nothing wrong with it, just that you pay to get a nicely made dessert and you get pretty flat cheap quality stuff.

Food: My food was okay, however the Steak was bad. Some of my family members ordered a WELL-DONE Steak but it came out Raw and Bloody. We kindly asked the Chef to put it back on the stove. They kindly did that, however it came out still Raw again. *Do not come here for steak.* The Coca-Cola tasted Okay, it is the same as all the other restaurants. Service: The service was okay. The Wait Time was around 15 to 20 Minutes. Atmosphere: It was clean, not really organised ON THE TABLES though.

I've been dining at Clancy's in Jindabyne for over two decades, and while it still holds a special place in my heart, recent experiences have been a bit disappointing. The food remains good overall, but the value has significantly diminished. For instance, dishes that are supposed to come with vegetables seem to barely include more than a few tiny carrot sprinkles, which feels underwhelming for the price. Additionally, the level of customer service has noticeably declined. What used to be a warm, inviting experience now feels somewhat indifferent. While I still enjoy visiting Clancy's for its long-standing charm, it's hard to ignore that the quality you get for what you pay is not what it used to be.

This place had the perfect bistro atmosphere with welcoming and pleasant staff. We ordered the 300g steak and the herb stuffed rainbow trout. Both were cooked to perfection and was pretty tasty. Prices were pretty decent and would definitely come back next time 😁

Lovely Thai owners. Traditional Thai food. You have to order via a qr code on your table. There is water on every table. There is a fully stocked bar. If you stay at the motel you get a discounted buffet breakfast including sausages, fried tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon and heaps more things. I would totally recommend the place to stay and eat. The upstairs rooms have all been newly renovated. We stayed two nights and found it by accident.

We caught the restaurant out by surprise on a Tuesday night needing seating for 12. Venue was understaffed but staff that were working did their best as we beckoned for missing rice dishes and alcoholic beverages! Wait times for meals blew out but the food and friendly staff kept the rating a 5 stars.

Really not good!! Best go to Maya Thai just 5 minutes away. The food here is 50% more expensive and it's not very Thai. Half the menu items have mash potato or fries. Service was shocking - order at the front desk, had to go get our own plates. Atmosphere is like a ski chalet shared dining room. Captive market, perhaps why it's so expensive. Highly recommend to go to Maya Thai or Pha's Thai in Cooma instead.

I ordered pick up at the restaurant twice. The food was okay but both times they missed my food. The first time they were missing 2 drinks. The next time, they were missing 1 chicken wing and 1 steam rice. The second time I called and they said they don't know English so we should talk in Thai 👎🏽

The Thai food was outstanding and delicious, even though it was a takeaway. The vegetables in the stir-fry rice were delightfully crispy, and the Panang curry was good. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent packaging, which kept the food from not getting soggy.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. But it’s fair to give it three. Food is from frozen pre packed. Fish cakes were ordinary. The steamed fish was bland. Prawn salad so so. Service was ok but I’d hate to see it on a busy night. Bit of a wait for all three dishes to arrive on the table at same.

After checking the trading hours and seeing that the bar was open until 10pm, we arrived at 9:05pm to a bar full of people only to be told that they were closed and unable to serve customers. Not sure who makes these decisions, but next time we won't bother making the trip over.

So weird. Limited options to sit even though the venue was practically empty. Chose a table in main and large dining area. Just as we had chosen what to have (3 kids plus me, after a long day walking to mount Kosciusko summit) was told the area we were in was closed and offered to sit at high tables in front of bar (not really suitable for children) or lounge area (not amazing sitting option for dinner) As we returned menu and decided to look elsewhere my son noted the lady shaking her head at us. Probably best to find an alternative anyway

We have stayed at The Banjo for many, many consecutive years. Newly renovated, they are an absolute delight to stay in. This year we were blessed with an upgrade!! The location is perfect, the views over the lake from the front rooms are very calming, the restaurant has a wide variety of meal options at fair prices and well portioned. Needing only to go downstairs for meals or a drink is perfect. The ambience is pleasant with nice views. Breakfast is included and offers all that you could want. Discounts on ski gear is also available when staying at The Banjo at Snowy Mountain Sports,. next door. Every staff member we have interacted with has been friendly, helpful and a great ambassador for The Banjo Paterson. Obviously, we will be returning!

Yes, the food is incredible - Yes, the live band had the entire pub on their feet! But the courtesy bus service, that’s what makes me leave 5 stars. Bray was safe, hospitable, had a great taste in music and gave us literal to the door service. The pub as a whole is fantastic, but Bray was the cherry on top of the sundae. Thanks for keeping us safe!!!

We came in as tourists after seeing the social media post about Fireball Fridays and were excited for a good vibe. Unfortunately, the bartender was instantly rude the moment we walked in — it was honestly disgusting behaviour and made us feel so unwelcome. When you come into a town and spend money to support locals, you don’t expect to be treated with such disrespect. Staff like that completely ruin the experience and make people not want to return.

This place was great. We went boarding near end of season. $200 between 2 of us per night. Includes the most amazing buffet breakfast. Poached eggs bacon sausage. Yummy treats fruit eg it was all there. Thank you banjo we will definitely be back.

Didn't stay here but the food was great. The pizza from overflow was delicious but the chicken scallopini was so unexpected delightful that i wanted more even being full already. I'll try to copy it at home.

Unless you're staying nearby don't bother coming here. After calling and asking to be picked up by the courtesy bus, the lady said if we made our own way here that they would get us home. We drove here and left the car, and when requesting the bus home they said they don't drive during dinner service. They will lie to get you here and then refuse to take you home. I won't be coming back.

Last minute snow trip and found a room at the Banjo Patterson Inn. What a pleasant surprise- the location is perfect, staff were friendly, the rooms are newly renovated, clean and very comfortable, the included breakfast was amazing and a perfect start to a big day on the slopes. I will be staying again

The ambience was good, especially considering the regional area. It was quite a busy place. The food was tasty, and the portion sizes were generous. However, I expected a greater variety of vegetables, especially since it’s Thai cuisine — but only carrots, onions, and zucchini were included. The Pad Thai was slightly burnt and wasn’t well tossed with the noodles and vegetables. Overall, it was a decent experience.

This restaurant is only walking distance from our cabin. We've ordered a tom yum soup and a green curry and rice for my partner. The staff was so lovely and accommodating especially when they saw my baby niece was with us and gave us seats in the warmer section straightaway. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We didn't sit down for longer time because my niece started crying haha. I highly suggest this restaurant.

The worst Thai restaurant ever in my life. Rice is so hard ( pick up and eating time within 10min ). Fried rice with chicken smell like fish ( don’t know how to become a best one ) and Tom yum prawn is all with mostly onion. Yes, I know Chinese and thai is different taste . Should u try to taste Thai pothong restaurant.

We can’t recommend unfortunately. They forgot our order, said the name was wrong 🤦 Once resolved they rushed the order however, they burnt 1 dish, then they added chilly to the only dish we did not want chilly on. The old bloke taking orders was more interested in talking about his model boat from Vietnam 🤣 Such a rip off! As it’s the only place in town that offers this food I’m sure reviews ain’t gonna affect them.

Got takeaway and seriously need to consider their portions sizes and check food before it goes out. Beef and potato curry for $24 with only 3 pieces of beef and potato. The potato was not cooked and raw in the middle.

We had a good experience dining at Ela Messa (Brumby Bar & Grill). They offer HALAL meat options. The staff were welcoming. All the food we ordered tasted really good. Also their portion size is decent. Only bummer is that they no longer offer pizzas. We will definitely be dining there when visiting Jindabyne next time.

The staff are so friendly and can cater to all dietary requirements. The cook time was also quite short - only 20-30 minutes. The capriciossa pizza was amazing!

Had a lovely and sumptuous meal at Ela Messa. We didn't had a booking but the staff were kind enough to squeeze us in if we ate quickly. The food came quickly too. The Supreme pizza 🍕 was good, very fresh and nicely done without being over or undercooked. The crust was easy enough to cut through and the flavours were alright. The crust was similar to what you get from a good pizza place outside like pizza hut. The pizza was great, but not mind-blowing. Rating: 7/10. The Mushroom risotto Kroketes were unique and unexpected. It's not something you'd see in other restaurants. This is more filling than it looks and really yummy. The aioli tasted like mayonnaise, but it went well with the Kroketes. Rating: 8.5/10. Overall service: 8/10 Fyi, this place uses halal poultry, according to their certificate at the entrance.

Scrumptious Food with Amazing Atmosphere! If you are coming in this area, do not miss having their food. They offer Halal food and were so respectful about our choices. We had one Chicken parmigiana and chicken schnitzel and the quantity was so rich!! Would rate them 10/10 👌

Went on the 26th of August for my friend's birthday ! Ordered 2 pizzas, 1 ribs and 1 wagyu that came pretty quickly and were great ! Get 2 bottles of wine (1 red and 1 white) served in 2 different glasses 😍 We took 2 loukoumades as desert and they were huge and staging in a kind of water sauce really strange. The fire is very cooconing and thy have great staff ! A bit sad that we have to order at the counter, compared to the price who is pretty expensive... :/

Food was great, but the staff is very rude and had a poor attitude. One of the staff asked us to leave loudly for two times even when we told her we are waiting for a second round of food. However, she didn’t ask anyone else to leave even if they came before us. I guess it’s just because we are asians?

Definitely westernised asian cuisine. Duck curry was flavourless, and honey chicken was very sickly sweet and unbalanced. Rice was even dry. Do not recommend it. Service was shocking. We were the only ones there, and zero care was taken. And when we had gone supposely the eftpos machine was not working and they were only accepting cash only. $75 for 2 dishes and rice, ridiculously overpiced.

Thai red curry duck - duck was good, but the curry itself was questionable (Suggestion: can consider using a different coconut cream/milk, because a certain brand I have used in the past has also given me this starchy diluted texture/taste) Seasonal vegetable dish - weird (I'm HK Chinese, the taste of this dish and its ingredients are questionable) Char kuey teow - not. Not the Singaporean/ Malaysian type. This is fried flat rice noodles with char siu and prawn. The flat rice noodle is double the thickness because the restaurant couldn't be bothered to separate the noodle. Flavour alright Laksa - unacceptable, this dish was nothing like laksa. I tasted Bullhead barbecue sauce and chilli oil in the soup Should I have gone for proper Chinese at a Chinese restaurant? ...probs :') Can at least say the white rice is authentic

I just wanted to have fried rice with prawns. They charged me $28.90, which exceeds the most expensive items on the menu. The food was horrible too. Flavourless, I couldn't taste anything other than soy sauce and salt. No condiments, they didn't have chilli flakes/chilli oil. The portion wasn't even worth the money. Complete waste of my money.

Shameful Chinese restaurant Don't waste your money here, No taste at all, if you ask adding some salt, $1 please. We ordered takeaway chow mian which is fried noodle, they didn't tell you until you found out there is no noodle at all included. Pad See-Eiw? Oh come on, they simply changed noodle in fried noodle to flat noodle and not a taste of Thai noodle at all. This restaurant even ruined Thai noodle. I would give 0 star but as at least one star needs to be there to comment so I select one star. It's should be 0 star.

We went there on a Sunday night. It was super busy. Almost all the table were occupied but did not have to wait long to find a table for 2 of us. We were told the food would take somewhere around 45 mins because the restaurant was super busy. We were okay with that (Thai place nearby had 2 hours wait time). It was clearly visible that the restaurant did not have enough people on. Despite all that, all the staffs were super friendly, calm and smiling. We were served by Eva. She was fantastic, super smiley and super friendly. We ordered Tom Yum soup and Vegetarian Fried rice. The food came much quicker than expected and was yummy. Definitely recommended this place if you are around Jindbayne.

We went to this restaurant for dinner and had an exceptionally long wait time of about 2 hours. The food was decent, and it was the only place open till late in Jindabyne that offered vegetarian options. The staff was kind, but they seemed short-staffed and overwhelmed with online orders. It's definitely a good idea to book a table in advance. Parking can sometimes be challenging to find.

Great service and super tasty. we got take away but it looked nice in the restaurant area to sit and eat. we ordered cheesy garlic naan and butter chicken, the kids loved it. will be back next time we are in town.

We recently placed an order that included Chicken Korma, Chicken Rogan Josh, and Palak Paneer, and we were extremely disappointed with the food quality and taste. • The Palak Paneer was so spicy that everyone in our group was sweating while eating it. It was far beyond a reasonable spice level and completely overpowered the flavour. • The Chicken Rogan Josh didn’t look or taste like Rogan Josh at all — the gravy was off in both colour and taste, and it lacked the signature aroma and richness of the dish. • Even the Chicken Korma, which is usually mild and creamy, was unbalanced and didn’t taste right. This was our first time ordering from your restaurant, and unfortunately, after this experience, we won’t be ordering again. The food was far below expectations in both flavour and preparation.

Me and my family enjoyed a lovely meal here on Wednesday night. I have a larger family (7 people) but we called in advance and they were very accomodating with a booking. The waitstaff were very polite and made the experience amazing. The food was DELICIOUS!

We were extremely disappointed with tonight’s dining experience. Despite clearly requesting a moderate spice level, we were served food that was overwhelmingly and excessively spicy—far beyond what could reasonably be considered medium. The major disappointment, however, was the response from the staff. While we understand that mistakes can happen in the kitchen, the refusal to acknowledge that something was wrong with the food was unacceptable. Instead, we were told, rather dismissively, that 'this is what we call medium,' showing little regard for our request or well-being. The meal was nearly inedible and left us feeling unwell.

I had dinner here last night at around 6pm with my family of 6. It was lucky that I booked because it was clearly very busy. As for the food, well it was excellent we had a lot of curries and every single one was great. It did take a bit longer for the food to come out but we completely understood as it was very busy. The customer service was also great!

Had chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Love the spice and flavour was good! 🥵🥵 Waited 40 mins for food to be served as they received lots of online and takeaway orders. Anyway, food is recommended. Thanks

i went to one of there horse riding days in october 2019. i was thrown from my horse and was told by the instructor that i was fine and i was winded. when she was told about my medical conditions before the day with one of them being a lung condition. my back really hurt and it was hard to breathe. i was forced to get back on the horse and told i was fine. later that night my back and ribs were hurting alot still so i turned up to the emergency room and was told later that night that i had broken my back and punctured a lung. the next dat i tried to get in contact with this facility and was told they would call me back. never heard from them so i called them again to find out that they had blocked me. very unprofessional and unfortunately i have had to take this to a lawyer. due to this incident i had to get spinal surgery and was in a wheelchair for 2 years and had yo learn how to walk again ect. don’t recommend coming here.

By far the worst people I have dealt with. No one that answers the phone understands that they are in the hospitality business, they can’t comprehend the fact that they are dealing with customers and running a business and customers may have questions or need assistance. I am having trouble getting through to your phone, I have tried to talk to reception and the staff member called Jan is hanging up the line and refuses to answer the phone, I was after some assistance and she was very rude and unprofessional. I asked her why she was unfriendly and she is now refusing to talk to me and has hung up the phone over 8 times. I would like a full refund and to speak to a senior staff member above Jan. I have never experienced such bad customer service, and she was in no way abused or harrassed. I spoke to her politely and with respect and unfortunetly she did not Resipricate. she kept calling me 'mate' agressively and hanging up the phone as I simply asked if there was anyone else I could speak to. She then proceeded to claim that she would cancel my booking and when I asked why, as she had no reason to do so, she decided to falsely claimed I was being abusive.

We stayed in one of the budget "Horseshoe Lodge" rooms last week and it was quick self check-in, clean and warm rooms, and seamless communication. Reception was helpful with all our phone enquiries. There was a shared kitchen that was clean and the bathrooms were well maintained. The bunk bed we had was incredibly comfortable and we cannot complain. The location is far away from Jindabyne and other facilities so keep that in mind.

Currently staying at JE resort in the main building and it is fantastic. A lovely country vibe to the place and only a 15 minute drive into Jindabyne and only 37 mins to Perisher carpark. Facilities were spotless and clean and the staff were welcoming and lovely. Picturesque views around the property if you fancy a little bush walk. Highly recommend staying here if you want to escape the business of Jindabyne town and have a country escape and an affordable price. Please ignore the reviews that were made below as they appear to be slander!

I came here a few weeks ago for a weekend trip for the snow. Was organised last minute and was able to grab a room at this hotel. Also late minute was another friend wanting to join us. I called the next day and asked if we could get another bed. Although we couldn't get another room with another bed, they changed us into a 2 bedroom apartment and discounted the price for me so it wasn't out of our budget. When we arrived the lady at the reception was so lovely. She showed us a map of how to get to the apartment and explained what to do when we leave. It was all very understandable and simple. We then went to their bistro for dinner. Each person ordered something different, it all came out at the same time! and it was all AMAZING! My husband who is very hard to please with a good steak was so happy as his steak was cooked to perfection, price was a little expansive but when you receive food like that, it makes it worth it. The next night we were all so excited to get back to their bistro and have another fantastic meal. This time we all knew what we wanted and were able to call up to pre-order as it was 30 minutes before their closing time.. Wasn't a problem for them. They were so polite and welcoming when we came in, Our meals were great again, I was a little disappointed as I wanted to have the same meal as my husband the night before and my steak was over cooked and more well done then medium rare, but it was STILL delicious. We left literally 15 minutes after they closed and they were still so delightful. The low music and fire makes the bistro feel like such a great atmosphere. And when I say ALL of the staff were amazing.. I mean ALL of them were so nice, welcoming and friendly. My husband and I have already decided to stay again next time we are off to the snow. 40 minutes from the ski tube but completely worth the time, money and stay. Thankyou to the amazing staff for their service, food and making us feel so comfortable and welcomed. See you soon!

Stayed last season and will be staying again this season. We had the best time ! Rooms are very comfortable and clean and its the cheapest in the area ! loads of fun for the kids, pool table, table tennis and a sauna ! The staff are just amazing they go above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible ! Restaurant and bar staff were pretty good, food was prepared and cooked to perfection ! Big thumbs up to the head chef. Must try Steak and mash you'll never try any mash that's better anywhere else GUARANTEED. Only down side is it does get pretty cold at night (obviously because your in the snowy mountains) but nothing a couple of extra blankets can't fix. I recommend you ask for room 16 for couples or E9 for families. Thank you Jindabyne Equestrian Resort ! You guys are just too bloody good. 5 stars all round.

Highly do not recommend staying there. Room was absolutely freezing at night, the had a little electric heater that was clearly not big enough for the room. The beds had no quilts on the just a thin blanket. I had to wear my snow gear to keep warm at night. The room had a musty smell to it and the bathroom was awful. Will never stay there again.

Excellent cakes and pastries and best of all their coffee is great. The best way to enjoy the fresh high country air is with a strong cup of coffee and these guys delivered. And as always the mountain hospitality is off the charts here. Loved it.

Nice coffee and excellent friendly service. The sweets here are amazing too. I would particularly recommend trying the chocolate and whisky dome or strudel. Definitely coming back here next time I’m in Jindabyne.

Great service today on a public holiday. We got three bacon and eggs and three coffees. Fantastic staff and very welcoming. Highly recommend this business when in Jindabyne. We’l were invited to their night restaurant at Angie’s Italian for dinner but unfortunately heading back to Sydney tonight. Thanks

Absolutely delicious Italian food. We got a lunch pizza and baked pasta and it was so good. Couldn't recommend high enough. The owners were lovely and so kind. Wonderful customer service. Would happily come back

Bright cafe with nice outdoor seating and really pleasant staff. Interesting cakes that we didn’t get to try, but the coffee, pie and croissants that we did have were great with buttery, flakey pastry. The apple strudel and banana bread were nicely spiced and not overly sweet. We’d love to come back!

Under new ownership website / socials are not updated. Its mainly asian Cuisine that serves Pizza aswell, mainly focussed on Asian food. Staff are friendly though. We went there spicifically for Pizza as the name suggests. The Pizza's where not bad but they where not great also and a bit pricey. Nothing like the pictures online that propose that this place is a "Pizzeria". Im sure they have great asian food though but if you are after Pizza I do not recommend this place.

I read the reviews, thought it’s pizza it can’t be that bad. I was wrong. Worst pizza ever. Drowned in barely cooked tasty cheese, it smelled bad, tasted bad and wasn’t even sliced properly. 3 people and this was all we could stomach before giving up. I’d rather go hungry.

In my experience being here, the food has been incredibly average. The pizza is undercooked along with the eggs, they don't mop. The floor is sticky from where people spilt orange juice and with a knife from last night covered in ants, showing that they don't clean.

Great tasty Pizzaz. Super soft crust with tasty topping. Gd experience with customising with my own preference as well.

Cute Japanese takeaway. Nice and fresh and friendly service. Its nice to have some fresh healthy takeaway options in Jindabyne that isn't burgers or pizza. We will definitely eat here again when we visit next!

Seriously amazing food from a humble takeaway shop! The rice and greens prepared nicely topped with absolutely delicious meats (or “meats”) - we had the Katsu Bento and the Karaage Tofu Bento 😋

Incredible sashimi bowl, full of flavor and fresh. The only thing to highlight is that you might not get the best experience even by getting there 1 hour before close. Most of the options will be unavailable or prepared on the moment with a bit of delay. However, the staff was kind all the time. More sushi options like nigiri would be a nice to have.

fantastic food for takeaway (but you can sit outside) and the tofu katzu was amazing (they did it gluten free for my sister) & i loved the tofu curry. delish!! staff were friendly and food was quick and very nicely presented. good value for money too. they are back open now so call if it says on google they are closed!

My chicken katsu curry was great... Filling, tasty and reasonably priced for the portion size. I'll eat there again next time I'm in that area.

Great food, fresh and quick. Service was nice. Just a shame you can’t eat in there but we found a chilly spot out the back and it was nice.
