Eldorado Road Cellar Door Cantina is a family-run vineyard located just a few kilometers from Beechworth. However, you don't have to travel far to enjoy their hand-picked wines as they have an intimate cellar door right in the heart of town. Whether you visit in summer and relax under the shade of the willow tree in the private courtyard or cozy up next to the fire during winter, this cellar door offers a welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing wine, great service and charcuterie plates that are tasty as hell! You can’t go wrong here, everything is DELICIOUS! Gluten free options too, which is always a bonus!

Had a great tasting experience and purchased a glass of wine and relaxed in the outdoor courtyard. Highly recommend the Onyx, one to rival any Durif which was taken home Loved the quality of the tasting menu's, the effort that went into providing info on all the wines and being able to mark (draw) what we thought of the wines as we progressed through the tasting. Truly a gem that is solely worth visiting Beechworth for
Jason — Google review
We were looking for a place to have a quick drink before our meal at Provenance when we stumbled across this cute little wine bar. We sat at the bar and had a quick tasting. The lady that ran us through the tasting was lovely and the wines were fantastic. We ended up getting a small single cheese plate that was incredibly generous and delicious. Any place that has the Will Stud triple cream on the menu is a winner. 😁 We ended up leaving with a bottle of the Quasimodo which is a fantastic drop.

We never skip a visit to El Dorado Road when visiting Beechworth. The wines are fantastic and well priced. Thanks Darcy for such a great tasting this time around. See you again soon! ❤️🍷
Joe S — Google review
Had such an enjoyable experience here. Linda served me and she was kind and knowledgeable about the wines without being pretentious. Super friendly conversation which made the tasting even more enjoyable. Very family friendly, happily hosting my two children and husband. The Shiraz was my favourite, paired with the chocolate bark, was a wonderful way to finish our trip to Beechworth. Highly recommend

Wonderful experience at Eldorado Cellar Door Cantina . Our hosts Darcy and Anna were so welcoming, helpful and friendly . We had a tasting of two wines and chose the perfect one . Plus a delicious non alcoholic Beechworth Honey and Lemon for the designated . We also had delicious snacks including magnificent French cheese, duck pate and mussels . Thanks so much Eldorado Cantina . We will be back !

Brewpub

Liquor store
Located in Beechworth, Australia, Bridge Road Brewers was established in 2005 by Ben and Maria Kraus. The brewery's dedication to handcrafted beers and the local community led to its rapid growth. Visitors can enjoy a variety of housemade craft beers, bar snacks, and pizza in an old-timey hotel with a vaulted ceiling. Additionally, the brewery offers a unique coffee experience for cyclists on the Murry to Mountains Rail Trail.
Bridge Road Brewers is truly a gem for anyone who loves craft beer and a welcoming atmosphere. The moment you walk in, you can feel the character of the place, rustic, warm, and full of energy. The staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to recommend something based on your taste, whether you’re a fan of light, refreshing beers or prefer something darker and more complex. The variety of beers is impressive. Every brew feels carefully crafted, and it’s clear that a lot of passion goes into what they do here. I especially enjoyed trying the tasting paddles, which is such a great way to explore different flavors in one visit. On top of that, the food is outstanding. The menu pairs perfectly with the drinks delicious wood-fired pizzas, hearty snacks, and plenty of options to share if you’re with friends or family. The outdoor seating area is another highlight. It’s spacious, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon with a cold beer in hand. It also feels very family-friendly, with lots of groups around, and you don’t feel rushed at all, you can sit back, chat, and enjoy the vibe for hours. What really makes Bridge Road Brewers special is the combination of amazing drinks, great food, and genuine hospitality. It’s more than just a bar; it’s an experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one of those places you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!
Zahra F — Google review
I really wanted to love this place, unfortunately I was just really underwhelmed. The wine was lovely and the pizza was good but the roast potatoes were more like diced potato tossed in fat. They were not roasted and were not crunchy at all. The apfelschorle was simply shelf stable apple juice with sparkling water in it. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The couple on the table next to us where cold and requested the heater on, the staff informed them they could not turn on the heater but offered to re seat them somewhere closer to a heater. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return.
Ange M — Google review
Came by with my family last week for lunch and the atmosphere was really great. Staff were friendly and helped set us up with the high chair. Beer selection was wide but we were actually very pleasantly surprise with the apple juice + soda water. Refreshing over lunch! Pizza was made well and we loved the thin crust. But burger was a little disappointing - the buns were hard, dense, and cold, and didn’t hold the content of the burger well. It was too big to actually eat in a single bite. Certainly recommend the pizzas and apple juice!
Andrew L — Google review
Such an amazing venue! :) The food is amazing, the service is exceptional and the beers are the icing on the cake. If you are in Beechworth and are looking for a place to eat, relax and enjoy some sun, you will have to visit Bridge Road. Thank you kindly to Belinda and all the amazing team. We look forward to dropping in next time we are in Beechworth. Keep well

Fantastic brewery with an excellent tap selection and food menu. Friendly staff, kid friendly and take away beers available. Inside and outside dining options. Playground for the kids with parking on site at the rear
Jon W — Google review
One of the best breweries we have visited this year in our Victorian Beer Passports. The beers are amazing and the pizzas are just as great. The tasting paddles are huge but are the best way to experience the wide range of beers they make. I don't like sours or dark beers usually and yet left with a four pack of their sours and the dark ale. Staff were also lovely. I will be back next time I pass through town.
Curtis H — Google review
Excellent laid back pub with an excellent selection of beer, great inviting country vibes, friendly service and delicious pizza! Even though we visited as a couple, I’m still going to give props to the kids menu selection and the play area. The locally brewed ginger beer was delicious, as were the brisket and duck pizzas. Will definitely be back

Nestled in the picturesque town of Beechworth, The Ox and Hound Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on rustic French and Italian cuisine. Chef Sean Ford's dedication to traditional values is evident in his uncomplicated yet delicious classic bistro fare, featuring dishes like chestnut fettuccine with rabbit ragu and barramundi topped with caponata.
Been here twice, haven’t been for a while, not easy with busy tweens, but when she was a tots, so easy to bring her out! We like be on road trip, so one of the best to try when in Beechworth, recommend!!

What a lovely evening, both waiters on the night were super helpful and answered all my concerns..I am coeliac and I was assured that the restaurant was aware of cross contamination etc. The menu was assuring, I chose the duck and it was beautiful. Print to the main, they brought out some home cooked gluten free bread. Yum..🤤. My husband who is deprived of gluten in the home, enjoyed the rabbit ragu. We shared a gf panna cotta. Beautiful town, lovely restaurant , and great service. 10/10.. and, I was able to purchase a loaf of bread the next day.. thank so much, lynelle

Beautiful place to have a nice romantic dinner while you’re in high country. Small intimate space. The menu is based on lots of local produce to go with local wines. Perfectly cooked, well balanced delicious food. Loved the Rabbit fettuccine and the chestnuts soup.

Really yummy vegetarian gnocchi and native finger lime mocktail was delicious! Staff were awesome and super nice.

We ordered the smoked trout and parfait for entree and Eye fillet & wild rabbit fettuccine for main, they were absolutely phenomenal. We finished the night with the Honey panacotta. If you're in Beechworth and after a good meal please give this restaurant a go, you will not regret it.

Beautiful bistrot in Beechworth. well prepared dishes and service was excellent. We are coming back for Australia Day in a couple weeks time and booked ahead. Review will be updated once we done again but if the first time was anything to go by I’m confident second time around we won’t be disappointed.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Provenance is a revered establishment with elegant arched windows and cozy wooden furnishings. It has received two hats in The Age Good Food Guide, making it a sought-after destination. The degustation menu is highly recommended, offering an unforgettable dining experience complemented by carefully selected wines from the North East region and optional sake pairings. Owner-chef Michael Ryan's cuisine is described as Japanese-influenced, blending contemporary design and textures with the finest local and seasonal ingredients.
We were fortunate to eat at Provenance on a quiet Monday night. We enjoyed the meal immensely. So many varied tiny dishes with a fabulous array of tasting. Highlights for me were the whipped roe with pickled cucumber, the fish skewer with pickled daikon, and the rice pudding with stewed apple (I’m a sucker for rice pudding). She mentions the bbq squid and the sashimi with beetroot and pomegranate. I enjoyed a local Vermentino and a Tempranillo. A memorable experience - reflecting a lot of care, skill and imagination. ❤️
R B — Google review
Phenomenal meal. I am a communications professional who is lost for words to describe how amazing the meal was. In over 14 dishes served there was not one that wasn't perfect. There was a number of dishes I wouldn't have ordered for myself as I wouldn't have thought I would like it, only to have them and realise I was completely wrong as they were spectacular. This restaurant deserves every perfect review they receive.
Curtis H — Google review
Stayed overnight and ate in the lounge. Accommodation was excellent. Large well appointed room with a very comfortable bed. Great bathroom, and nice spot to sit outside. The predate yourself provided breakfast was simple but delicious. Had dinner the night before in the lounge. The menu was Japanese inspired but using local ingredients. It concentrated on flavour without trying to be cute or fussy. Great tasting food with excellent choice of wine.
Chris N — Google review
I highly recommend this place! It’s my partner’s and my favorite local restaurant for celebrating special occasions. The food is the best Japanese fusion cuisine I’ve ever had. Each dish is beautifully presented in the traditional kaiseki ryori style—small plates reminiscent of a fine multi-course Japanese meal—but with a creative and respectful Western twist. Having eaten a lot of Japanese food, I found this truly impressive! The service is warm and welcoming, and the restaurant’s design is intimate, thoughtfully detailed, and full of character. Thank you, and we can’t wait to return!
Fiona M — Google review
We had the absolute pleasure of dining here on our visit to Bright. The food was well portioned and inventive and well presented. Every dish was made with care and showcased not just produce of the region but the chef’s skill. Staff were helpful and conscientious without being obsequious. The desert was not much to look at but absolutely blew my mind! We will be back!
Evee C — Google review
Very average food for the $170/head set menu and loads of pickled vegetables (which meant my wife couldn’t eat half the dishes even though she mentioned dietary requirements, it often meant she missed a protein dish and just had daikon instead). They are certainly taking advantage of their reputation. Far better modern Japanese interpretations in Daylesford or Bright.
Scott P — Google review
Loved the way four little dishes were served in three ensuing bento boxes. Removed that oooh ah of 12 individual dishes. With all those flavors and ideas obs there were going to be things you liked better than other but that seemed to be the culinary journey. Delicious little puddings to finish, as well. It’s expensive and the owner/chef/waiter was a bit off hand but you are there for the food and with luck, good friends, like we were. We had a great time

The menu boasts an impressive selection of fresh ingredients, including homemade gnocchi that melts in your mouth and locally sourced beverages to complement your dining experience.
What an outstanding venue!! Unsure as to where we will have a coffee and some food, we dropped in at Project Forty Nine. Whatever you are looking for, they will have it here 😊 There is such an extensive range of items for sale in here. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are 4 tables outside and a few tables inside if you were looking at sitting down for a bit! Thank you for the wonderful coffee, food made with love and such care. We will visit again when I'm next in town 😊

Place is easy to find, lots of parking on mainstreet. They have limited seating with a few small tables inside and out. They offer takeaway drinks and lots of sandwiches/sweet treats. The menu is small but has quality items on it. Coffee was nice and so was the food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a booking. Dogs are allowed outside, and the prices are quite reasonable. Would recommend.

This was my first visit to Beechworth, and it does not disappoint. This cafe/continental store has a broad range of international small goods and Quality wine. We enjoyed our coffee, bacon n cheese toasted roll, peach muffin and apple muffin. The decor is eclectic, a little quirky and some contemporary. ❤️

This place is SO good!! Coffee was so delicious, awesome range of pastries, and the panini’s… I had the ham one - with picked cabbage, house pickled cucumber and, I think, hot mustard - amazing! Great range of wines and spirits, charcuterie stuff.. I could have gone nuts… Would go back here everyday I was in Beechworth…

Beechworth Bakery Beechworth is a renowned establishment that has been serving delectable baked goods since its establishment in 1984. Located in the historic Bank of Victoria building, this bakery offers a charming setting to savor their famous pies, sausage rolls, and an array of cakes. Whether you choose to dine inside or on the terrace overlooking the street, you're guaranteed a delightful culinary experience.
Great pie and bee sting. Great service, and an iconic business. Sensational town of Beechworth with so much to see. The self serve bar was awesome, felt the old days where the sauce was free, gotta love that!

Beechworth Café is a wonderful spot for the whole family — their pies are delicious and always hit the mark. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere makes it a great place to bring kids, catch up over coffee, or linger for a casual meal. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beechworth.

SADLY, DIDNT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE :( Tried Beechworth Bakery for the first time during a short holiday in the town. First impression was the friendly staff member who took our order. Great. However. it went downhill rapidly from there! There was a long wait for our "buzzer" to go off alerting us to collect our meal. When we opened the "banh mi" we ordered we were horrified to find that it is nothing like the genuine Vietnamese bun! Inside was a chewy slice of chicken schnitzel, a dollop of mayonnaise and shredded carrot! I'm all for innovation and creativity in recipe interpretation but this is plain wrong! We ended up throwing most of the roll out.
Ian W — Google review
Best bakery I've ever been to. Fullstop. Great customer service, and more baked goods that you can choose from without having FOMO. While we were in town for a long weekend, we were here every day trying a different sweet treat and enjoying some classic bakery food as well. Their lemon meringue pie and cinnamon scrolls are TO DIE FOR.

Pretty good sausage roll, ends were a bit dry. Really tasty pepper steak pie but the chunks of meat were a bit tough.
Shane J — Google review
A lovely bakery from Beechworth with plenty of dessert options and savoury pies. Have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. We tried the iced latte and iced mocha, the latter was much better in terms of sweetness. The staff was quite efficient considering the holiday rush. 15% Holiday surcharge which felt a bit excessive. All in all it's a quick stop for lunch or coffee on your trip.

Nestled in Beechworth, Moments & Memories Tea Room offers a delightful experience with its extensive tea selection and delectable high tea service. The charming ambiance is adorned with hanging teapots and fine bone China, creating a cozy setting for indulging in over 60 varieties of tea. Guests can savor homemade treats like scones, cakes, biscuits, and slices while admiring the collection of China and giftware.
When I first came here I was blown away with how goregous the place was. They have cute napkins and table decorations on every table. The tea cups and tea pots are super beautiful with lots of patterns and they have a large cabinet with a wide variety of teas and relishes you can purchase. The menu is quite large but easy to read. I got Scones and peppermint tea. The Scones were lovely and came out still steaming when I broke it open. On the second visit to this lovely store me and two friends purchased the high tea for $80 per person. The owner Lee was incredibly sweet and friendly. She had a lot of knowledge related to the teas and sweets they provide. She also checked in on us constantly and was super considerate. The store also has nice 80s music playing softly in the background. Would seriously recommend checking out!

What a delightful place! So many items for purchase as you head into the shop, I could have easily spent 30 minutes deciding what to buy. The room was set up beautifully with China tea cups, plates, etc, ready for you to eat a meal or have a Devonshire Tea like we did. A variety of flavoured teas available (but I prefer the strong black tea myself). Our scones and fresh cream were amazing!! You are served a plain + a fruit scone, but our hostess happily gave me 2 plain ones. They were light, warm and huge! Absolutely will be back there next time I'm in town 😎 We purchased 2 x meal servings of their Spaghetti Bolognaise, and it was delicious 😋 It was not the usual bland type you can buy elsewhere. It was full-bodied, saucy, and had so much flavour. It's on my to get list next time as well! 😉🤭😝

What an awesome hidden gem this was. It was cold, wet & windy and we wanted somewhere cozy for lunch. Took us back to a simpler time. Menu included home made soup & savoury mince on toast. We chose the pumpkin soup and it was just delicious. There was literally pages of premium teas to pick from as we as a range of delicious scones so we had those too!! The 2 ladies serving & cooking looked after us and we left with the sun shining, feeling very full and satisfied body & soul.

My partner and I came here on the weekend and had one of the best Devonshire Teas we’ve had yet. My partner had the gluten free scones and she said they were one of the best she had. The cream and jam servings were very generous. I had the Billy tab and loved how smokey it was.
Nick S — Google review
A magnificent achievement. My wife and I had a most excellent time enjoying this establishment’s Devonshire tea. My apricot and almond scone and date scone were sumptuous and delicious. They may well be Victoria’s best scones, indeed. Even more gratifying were the gluten free scones that my wife enjoyed—such a welcome relief from the usual woes of being offered either nothing in the way of gluten free options, or nothing good in that way. We will most certainly be back.

Chinese Village Restaurant offers a wide range of traditional Chinese dishes as well as contemporary Asian fusion options. This local favorite provides a pleasant dining experience with consistent and reasonably priced food. The restaurant is well-organized, with friendly and welcoming staff. Customers have the choice of eating in or taking away, both of which are popular choices even on weekdays. The cuisine is flavorful and fresh, ensuring a satisfying meal. Furthermore, the restaurant accommodates individuals with disabilities and welcomes guests of all backgrounds.
We order the deep fried beef with special sauce, bbq pork with honey soy sauce, honey chicken, special fried rice, prawn toast and chicken spring rolls. Absolutely delicious, only thing is the honey chicken batter is sweeter then I'm used to but still great. The deep fried beef with special sauce was the star along with the special fried rice. Thank you for an amazing dinner on our overnight stop in beechworth.
Stephanie D — Google review
Had a quick lunch here on Saturday, very pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. I got the Beef with Mongolian sauce and special fried rice, while my wife got Pork with Sweet and Sour sauce with Singapore noodles. We both enjoyed our food very much, as did our young daughter who shared with us. The interior design was well laid out with the room split in half by the entry ramp which was a nice difference to most restaurants who generally have one large room. It would limit large groups, but allows smaller groups to have conversations without people missing out or needing to shout. Overall a very nice place.
Iain T — Google review
Good pricing and fresh ingredients - although special fried rice varies in quality from restaurant to restaurant - this place got it right. Good choice of wine - including by the glass and a selection of local wines. Serving sizes were good and take away containers available at no extra charge. In summary, it exceeded expectations when it comes to regional Chinese restaurants. If you prefer chopsticks - just ask - they're on the counter. We visited on a Friday night in winter and there weren't many tables free, so I'd recommend booking. What's that prawn thing you ask? Had lunch here on a Sunday for a friends birthday, was quite busy at the time, table service was OK, but the wait for our food was a little long, over 1/2 hour, we had to ask for chop sticks to be brought out as they were not on the tables, western cutlery only, also had to ask for rice bowls to be brought to the table, they only had salad plates on the table which I thought was strange. Food was OK, quite large portions, I've had worse Chinese food but I also had a lot better. Price was not to bad, about what I was expecting to pay per dish, and they do accept cash payment which is excellent, and they do split the bill which is also excellent. 4 stars for these guys I thing

Fiona, the manager from the Motor Inn said this was some great "local Chinese" She did the air quotes with lots of things; your room was "just cleaned" and don't let the "bed bugs" bite, and don't mind "the screams" from the basement. Janelle, who was the least Asian person in town greeted us warmly and sat us down. My son was very impressed with the carpeted walls. He had never seen such opulence. To immerse ourselves in local culture, I blindly ordered the house red and my wife, the house white. My wife asked "What is this? Can I get a bottle of that fine drop?" Janelle was gone for a while and we surmised that this was no fine wine that you could bottle. Only a box could hold this freshness. Janelle confirmed, a Yalumba 2018 vintage, from the region of Angaston S.A. A perfect match for the classics, Mongolian lamb, crumbed prawn, fried rice and chicken corn soup. My wife has taken to wearing Seinfeld pirate shirts and her sleeve knocked over her glass. I ordered another and Janelle came back and discreetly said "I saw you spilled that last one so I filled it right up." It was to the brim. Quite possibly the finest "local Chinese" and the greatest service I've ever had.

Had a poor dine in experience, the food was expensive for what it was. It was basic and pretty revolting if im being honest. We ordered the pineapple beef with lemon sauce, had half a mouthful of that and decided thats enough, didnt even want to bring it home. Honey chicken was overly sweet, but me and my friend peeled the batter off and that was ok. Fried rice was dry but alright. We also ordered the dumplings they were not to bad but way to much sauce. The service was pretty bad not gonna lie. He didnt once ask us how the food was, probably because he already knew it was bad. I havnt tasted the other stuff on the menu but what we had just didnt hit. Wouldn't recommend eating from here

After the long drive to Beechworth, this was the perfect place for a piping hot dinner. It was one of the very few places open in the evening over the long weekend holiday. It is quite a large place inside with polite, attentive and friendly staff. The sweet corn chicken soup, veggies in black bean sauce with a bowl of boiled rice were good and reasonably priced.
Glahss — Google review
I went for lunch with a friend and the food was so disappointing especially for its price. We ordered a pineapple beef with lemon sauce. Which tasted criminal. It was a weird taste. The 2 combo of flavours just didn’t go well. The presentation was exactly how it tasted. It looked like a dog vomited my plate. We also got the honey chicken. It wasn’t as bad as the beef but OH MY DAYS. The sweetness of the honey sauce was so overwhelming we started peeling the crust off so we could eat it. It was about $25. PRAWN Dumplings- tasted fine. But I don’t understand why the sauce was so thick. Looked like a cystic fibrosis patients mucus. But brown. The presentation was decent tho. About $18? The fried rice was my favourite out of the 4 dishes we ordered. But it was dry. A simple friend rice… SERVICE - (maybe the staff had a bad day but) the service was not it. Greetings don’t exist there nor check ins. “How was the food”. It was depressing. Overall. Wouldn’t eat there again. Would recommend it either.

We dined here after coming back from Mt Buffalo. Love the atmosphere, historical and iconic, and service was friendly and welcoming. Loved their lamb shanks and creme brulee. Thanks team for our delicious meals. Definitely coming back next time we’re in Beechworth.

Excellent meals, well priced quick and very friendly service. Really liked how it was bike friendly for outside dinner. Had the sticky pork chop and pork sausage rigatoni. Both were excellent and exceed standard pub food. Thank you!

I cannot comment on the rooms as I just popped in for a pint and a game of pool, but there is something about this place. We walked through the dinning area to grab a beer and I was struck with how cool this place was! So fresh and welcoming. The smell of the kitchen was delightful and it just felt so relaxing. The staff were so friendly and the beer was great.

A cold rainy night in Beechworth looking for a meal. Walked into the Hotel Nicholas - dining room fully booked but the lovely hostess suggested the front bar and walked us around to find us a table. The Satay pork chops were delicious and a glass of Robbie Burns red wine. Warm fireplace walls lined with sporting memorabilia. Great little pub ! All staff attentive and friendly.

About average. Tad overpriced. Massaman curry was soothing on a cold night. Companions had fish and calamari - appeared deep fried from frozen. Was one of few options on a Monday night. Warm atmosphere. Have had worse. Have had better. Adequate.

What an awesome home, warm, welcoming place. The service, the homely feel, the memorabilia, fantastic, one of the best pubs. The staff made you feel so welcome and so apprecative of you coming in. The locals made you feel welcome and were happy for you to be there, you were included into their family. Thank you so much, we went to a different pub for dinner and regretted it immediately
Tia H — Google review
One of the few restaurants open on Monday's is Beechworth but sadly food quality is lacking Nicholas is in central Beechworth and has a large dining room that is comfortable and not too noisy. The waiter was lovely but the staff who take your order (at the counter) seem like they'd rather be elsewhere :( Typical pub menu. I went for the cheese focaccia bread, chicken drumsticks and the beef massuman. The bread was ... in a word.. awful awful. I had just one bite. The chicken was good. The massuman was just odd. Didn't taste anything like the authentic Thai version..with an odd bitter taste. Maybe the more common meat dishes would have been better but I won't be back to try. People with mobility issues will be OK here as it's all on one floor and there is decent spacing between tables. Cash and cards.. order and pay at the counter. Take your drinks yo the table yourself, food will be brought out to you.

The Ageing Frog Fish Bar is a popular spot known for its delicious gluten-free meals, particularly its signature crunchy and flavorful gluten-free batter and renowned potato cakes. Despite being landlocked, the fresh fish regularly makes its way to this Victoria establishment. The generous servings of chips are quite impressive, making it advisable to opt for a small serve. Visitors praise the freshness of the fish and the variety of options available on the menu.
Potato cakes are one of the best l have had. I was disappointed in the fish as l asked for flake and they gave me a substitute fish. I ordered via phone and kept driving.

Best fish and chip shop i’ve ever been to! been here twice now on holidays and both times the food has been incredible! the home made chicken nuggets are the best, made with real chicken breast and so crispy, they even gave us extra nuggets. chips are perfect cooked. staff are so friendly!
Chloe W — Google review
By far the best potato cakes I've ever had, we've been waiting since April to get here- well worth the wait!! Ordered 10, got way more 😍
Caitlin R — Google review
Ageing Frog offers classic fish and chips with a twist right on the Beechworth main street. Medium chips are $11 and were perfectly crispy. Loads of contemporary menu items including fish burgers 🍔. Friendly prompt service ready in 5-10 minutes.
Donna M — Google review
Surprisingly good fish and chip. Don't let the shop front fools you, despite the classic looking frontage this fish and chip place actually delivers really great dish. Their selection is quite vary but we ordered the usual flake both fried and grill. Im glad to say that not only they really generous with the serving but the fish is really really fresh. Potato cakes also very very well cooked, this is the first time I saw this style of potato cakes which is different than your regular fish and chip shop. Chips are also nice and crisp again their chips is just different, fresh and tasty. The only think that I'm not a fan of is their stuffed mushrooms. Perhaps it's my tastebuds. Would I recommend it? Absolutely yes.
Ronny W — Google review
The Ageing Frog’s Fish Bar is hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The potato cakes were next level — thick, perfectly golden, and incredibly crunchy. Every bite was just amazing. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere nearby. Absolute gem of a spot!
Kieran C — Google review
Get takeaway here quite often, the chicken sandwich and lamb roll are awesome! Fresh well selected ingredients cooked and assembled with precision and care to create a simple and delicious meal. The beef spring rolls though, it has to be said are easily the best spring rolls I have had anywhere. I can't quite explain how good they are on here, it's the sort of thing you have to experience at all costs if you are in the area. Great work guys. Keep up the good work
Zac C — Google review
Id like to support local business but this food is pretty bad. It was incredibly oily, everything felt soggy, nothing was crispy. The portions were confusing, minimum chips was tiny but cauliflower fritters were plentiful. Most of it went in the bin unfortunately as it was basically inedible. My partner said the shop was not very clean which put her off eating any of the food at all. It was well salted but aside from that not cheap and there’s lot of room for improvement.

Beechworth Provender is a superb cafe that offers excellent service and an exceptional array of beverages. The coffee is of remarkable quality, as is the chai tea. The European style hot chocolate, accompanied by frothed milk on the side for customization, is loved by children. The cafe itself boasts an impressive collection of fossils and gemstones, which captivate young visitors.
What a great cafe!! Coffee was lovely and the Pear and Date Cake was the best we have tasted. We came back for lunch: the Buddha Bowl was fresh and tasty: the Lentil Burger with salad was delicious. The atmosphere inside the cafe was great and the staff very friendly. This place is a must stop every time we visit Beechworth.

Absolutely lovely coffee. And hot chocolate! And the Picnic cake was awesome 👍
Nick C — Google review
Horrific and rude staff, generic overpriced wares. We were abused by the staff for using the bathroom and not buying anything before leaving despite the fact our group had ordered coffees just earlier. Not only that but they aggressively gestured to a sign that WAS NOT VISIBLE when the bathroom was used . They went on a tirade about "respect" despite trying to intimidate us into spending money there. Beechworth has a lot of beauty but avoid this pathetic excuse for a cafe like the plague. **Edit: The response below that my companions were appalled by any "behaviour" is an appalling lie. It demonstrates the owners fragile ego and inability to accept responsibility for their disgusting attitude.

Beechworth Pizza & Takeaway is a well-liked establishment for both residents and tourists. The amiable staff are always available to assist in selecting the perfect pizza for your family or group. The pizzas feature substantial yet airy bases and delectable toppings, while the garlic bread consistently impresses. On our visit to Beechworth, we were famished and pizza was our quick dinner choice.
Food was easy to order with a short wait time. Picked up 3 small pizzas and garlic bread within 20 minutes. Prices are a bit expensive but definitely worth the money. Would recommend.

Beechworth pizza is a good choice for a take away dinner in a town with limited options. All the basics on offer...half and half available on large and family sizes. At 6:30pm Friday they were pumping out pizzas 🍕 in 15 minutes. There's loads of seating inside and a table out front to enjoy.
Donna M — Google review
Now thats what i call a pizza ..fantastic base ..NOT thin cardboard ... loads of topping as the photo shows ..plus tasty ..i would drive 7.5 hrs again just to have that pizza again ..definitely recommend . I had chicken tropical hubby had meatlovers
Suzi — Google review
I wish I could leave a proper review but I never got to try the pizza. I get it, Friday nights are busy. But after standing at the front counter for over 10 minutes while being pointedly ignored by the guys supposedly serving, I left. They had no problem taking phone orders but would not serve a customer standing in front of them. Hey - I was there before the phone rang! Very poor. I expected better at a town that lives on tourism. And you - the old dude making pizzas and looking at me - are you the owner? You should be doing something to fix this. Luckily there is a great Fish & Chip shop over the road (The Ageing Frog) that was also busy but had great service and delicious food.

I'm so glad that after a long day, we made the choice to head up to the Pizza & takeaway of Ford St Beechworth 🤤 We picked up a Supreme and meat lovers pizza + a garlic pizza! The only pizza shop in town! We enjoyed the pizza there multiple times when we stayed for a long weekend, it was a touch expensive and mine was very oily, but still delicious and nice to get something simple for dinner. Would recommend calling ahead to order if you don't want to wait for 20+ minutes, as they can understably be very busy. Great customer service, too.

Glenbosch Wine Estate, nestled in the heart of Australia's renowned wine-growing region, offers a serene retreat for those seeking relaxation. The estate features a welcoming restaurant serving seasonal dishes made with local produce and an impressive selection of wines. Guests can also stay overnight in cozy cottages on the property. Located just 10 kilometers from Beechworth, this beautiful winery offers a variety of full-bodied whites and reds, with their cabernet sauvignon standing out as a top choice.
Driving up the dusty unsealed road off the main Beechworth road, you kinda wonder how good the food is going to be. My doubts were laid to rest after entree was served- pork belly was divine! Salad was top notch palate pleasing. Others at my table enjoyed their 2 course lunch menu choices too. They liked the house Shiraz & later - the golden port. Yours truly could not indulge in the house wines - a long drive back to Melb last weekend in Feb. Understated interior decor but befitting a provincial winery. Great cuisine & service - love to return for a 3 course meal with house wines✨️✨️

We had such an amazing weekend at Glenbosch wine farm stays! The cottages were beautiful, well equipped and clean. The outdoor bath was amazing to relax in under the stars! Dirk and Nika were lovely, so easy to deal with and went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember! Would highly recommend this stay/winery to family and friends! Thanks again for a great weekend!

We want to thank Glenbosch for such a wonderful wedding. Nika was so easy to deal with. We loved staying in the cottages. The salon was a perfect place to get ready with the girls. Our fur baby was even welcomed. One of the most important things to us was to get the food right. We wanted good food and no one going hungry. Glenbosch nailed it! We would recommend any occasion at Glenbosch - weather it’s a delicious meal, relaxing farm stay or starting your happily ever after with a wedding.

I’ve been photographing weddings in the region for over 10 years now and highly recommend GlenBosch estate for anyone looking for the perfect wedding location. And most importantly, a stress free, fun day!

The Nebbiolo was a standout 💯

Had a great experience here when visiting Beechworth last week. Lachlan introduced us to some great wines - all locally sourced. He was a friendly host with plenty of knowledge and some bonus jokes. We’re keen to return later this year to check out the area being built out the back that will become an eatery.

Great experience at the Cellar door wine store. Lachlan the owner was so hospitable and kind in talking us through some great local wines . Had delicious local Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot noir. Walked away with some takeaway bottles from his great selection of wine . Better than a cellar door experience as you get to taste wines from different local wineries. Ended up also buying a delicious cognac that we tasted. Highly recommend

What a wonderful spot to stop at. The owner poured freely tastings of wines from the Beechworth vineyards. Oh and make sure you take your sense of humour!!🤣🤣🤣

Vino Bar Beechworth is a must-visit spot for food and wine enthusiasts. Visitors praise the fantastic service from this lovely husband-and-wife duo. The atmosphere is described as amazing, with great vibes all around. Guests have raved about the delicious food, particularly the standout Chardonnay and lamb cutlets.
Perfect small wine bar with local wines and gourmet small plates to accompany them. Surprisingly laidback and refreshingly unpretentious, with both indoor and outdoor tables. You can book on Fri/Sat nights, or try your luck on Sundays (walk-ins only). Billson's Soda Bar is a unique experience housed in one of Australia's oldest breweries. It offers a variety of refreshing drinks, including ice cream spiders, hot chocolate, and colorful sodas. For those seeking something stronger, there's a beer garden for tasting paddles. The venue also features a hidden cocktail bar called Isabella's with an impressive drink selection and delectable food offerings.
Billson's soda bar on Camp St is a well presented little establishment! The range of different Cordial is outstanding, and to what I have tried, they are very tasty... The young lady serving us made us feel very welcome along with her great service! The soda bar is a tiny place with opportunities for any customer to sit outside. It's well worth a visit to work out what favour Cordial you might like! There is parking and a disabled park on Camp St. Unfortunately, there are no toilet facilities available at the soda bar.

Beechworth has upped its wine bar game. A hidden bar behind the Billson's soda bar (code word entry behind the freezer/coolroom door) is Isabella’s wine bar. Awesome selection of drinks and even better food. Melbourne needs to learn a couple things. We tried a few of their dishes from tostadas, duck toast, quail, zucchini and bacon, beef, and heirloom tomato salad. Must say we are disappointed this place isn’t closer to home.Cannot wait to get back here as their menu changes every couple weeks.

Soda bar with a bit more on the cocktail front after 5:30pm. If you do arrive earlier the spider and shakes are divine - takes you back to when you were a kid. The pine lime milkshake was a winner for me. Ed. came back for a drink in the evening. Dinner menu looks interesting, but settled in for a cocktail and dessert. Both well worth it.

This is the most epic little soda shoppe I've ever seen, more flavours than you could imagine, spiders cheap enough that you can buy multiple when you can't decide, and the conversation with our bartender amazing. Our 10 minute experience here has led us to want to book a full overnight stay in Beechworth just to come here multiple times and see what else the town offers. Recommend the Pine Lime, but the twister and fruit tingle also delicious.

Mixed feelings about this place. Had lunch here with my son on a wet and rainy afternoon. Loved the feel to this place, very cozy with an open fireplace and plenty of charm. Very busy when we visited, all tables booked out and very busy around the bar too. Tried the Korean corn cheese for entree, very good! And the carnivore special for mains, the young fella opted for the pork Belly bites. Desert was the apple pie from local Stanley apples. The food itself is absolutely sensational, like a really high-class restaurant, certainly not your traditional pub grub. Wait time was a little long, in my opinion, but they were very busy. Our waitress was servicing several other tables as well as ours. What disappointed me mostly was the price though, very, very expensive! I review a lot of pubs and hotels and these guys would have to be the most expensive I've experienced, and then to add a 10% surcharge on top was unbelievable! I can understand a public holiday surcharge, but a weekend surcharge? Never had anyone charge me 10% extra for the weekend before. Guys, the weekends would be by far your busiest days, and I think slugging you customers an extra 10% for their patronage is just bloody rude. Total price for a Saturday lunch for just 2 people was $202 bucks! I don't think I will be back sadly

Had lunch here today. The chefs know what they're doing that's for sure. The steak was perfectly cooked, everything was delicious, wait staff were efficient and lovely, and such a cosy space, beautiful warm fire.
Kathy S — Google review
The vibe was definitely a highlight, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. However, I found the food to be just alright, especially considering the price point. The staff service also wasn't quite as great as I'd hoped, falling a bit short of expectations.
Prajwal P — Google review
The Stanley Pub is sensational. The central dining room oozes 'cosy modern', and there's a beer garden to enjoy a meal on the patio too. The Asian fusion inspired gastro pub menu leaves so many customers in state of indecision they offer a try-a-bit-of-everything item at $73pp. We enjoyed the fish of the day and beef eye fillet- both cooked to perfection and plated like artwork. Service was easily the best we've had in the region. This small town pub is a destination worth seeking out- online booking is easy.

Rating based on bakery only - the coziest spot for a coffee & sweet treat. Love their range of goods on the shelves as well! VERY good toasties

We enjoyed a fantastic family gathering for lunch at the Stanley Pub yesterday. The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant - highly recommend. The autumn 🍁 colours haven't yet hit their peak - it's a brilliant place in NE Vic to enjoy the wonderful Autumn colours ❤️
Catherine J — Google review
Visited here on the back of their eponymous craft beer. Turns out the town is the pub…but what a pub. Normally I will hold back on exotic pub menus on the basis that “basics are always best” - no need for that here. The extensive menu has a wine list to more than match. It has a table served and picturesque outdoor dog friendly beer garden making it the perfect way to while away a lazy Sunday afternoon. I will definitely be back!

Bakery
Nestled in the picturesque Mayday Hills area, Silver Creek Sourdough is a hidden gem that every bread lover should seek out. Baker Louise Ritchie crafts an array of delightful sourdough offerings, including her famous crumpets and long-ferment loaves. Visitors rave about the spelt and honey sourdough, which strikes the perfect balance between softness and subtle sweetness without being overly tangy.
I don’t usually write reviews, but apart from having the best bread in the area, they are honest, good people. They even dropped off my wallet when I left it next to the honesty bucket (big oops). Spend the extra buck and buy their stuff. The cost is super reasonable, considering how expensive things are these days and the quality you get. Keep being great, Silver Creek.
Kye R — Google review
I visited Beechworth on a short family trip and I found this little bakery online, so I have decided to place an order to pick up... and I'm so glad I did!! The spelt and honey sourdough is PERFECT! So soft, with a hint of honey, not too sour...it's the best sourdough I've ever had by far! The sourdough crumpets were also super delicious! I wish I didn't live so far and I could have more of this bread! Also, $7.50 for a loaf this good, it's an amazing price, can't find anything like this is the city!
Alice C — Google review
Silver creek may be small, but it produces some of the most delicious bread! Be sure to try the crumpets if you haven’t already, they’re a real treat.
Amy D — Google review
Had the most amazing bread and hot cross buns. Had some issues with the online orders and was all sorted at pickup. Thank you all, will drop in again/buy from the local grocery again in future
Jason — Google review
Really nice bread and the sourdough crumpets are fun. Well worth the visit. A little hard to find, you have to drive to the Beechworth Montessori school and Silver Creek Sourdough are located at the back.

Just awesome! A trusting honesty system at the front of the kitchen. A lovely lady came out to see if we needed any assistance. Can't wait to try my home made crumpets!
Donna F — Google review
I love the bread and crumpets from Silver Creek! The seeded loaf I bought on Thursday was still warm when I got home. Amazing :-) You can pop by in the morning and buy stuff without pre-ordering from their table and cabinet outside the bakery. Pay by cash or bank transfer.

Try the sourdough crumpets, they are devine. Great texture and fabulous flavour. The sourdough bread is also delicious mild flavour with a good chewy texture. Makes the best toasted sandwiches.

Friendly staff, stock the amazing Silver Creek Sourdough range of breads. Thursday is Silver Creek Donut day and they are amazing! Was going to buy a croissant but it looked over cooked, so I passed. Veg looks good here to.

This place rocks. All the freshest goods and the best local produce around. My only complaint is how quickly the fruit straps sell out!
Bethany J — Google review
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, incredible range of interesting pantry items and frozen meals, as well as local organic produce. I recommend the smoked cod pie for something different. Also nice touch that they make their own jams.

One of the reasons we moved to Beechworth was knowing that a store like this exists here. Small with friendly service, staffed by people who know you, selling quality local products including great bread, milk, eggs and fresh produce. It's a perfect combination. Well done Goldfields Grocer!

Tanswell's Commercial Hotel is a laid-back establishment offering straightforward rooms, dining, a bar, and complimentary breakfast. The hotel prides itself on its delicious menu cooked over fire with sustainable practices in mind, featuring conventional and wild meats as well as vegetarian options. Chef-winemaker James Cleeve brings his expertise to the heritage-listed Tanswells, blending pub grub with Euro-inspired dishes.
Love this place. Rooms are simple and clean with heating. A great communal balcony overlooking the street. The bar is friendly and has a fireplace. There is a big dining area and a beer garden, also table and seating out the front. So much history and things to look at. A well loved local and they have bands a Fridays and Saturdays
Francesjk K — Google review
We had dinner here this evening and we found the food to be of a very good standard. Being a bit of a duck tragic, I ordered the confit of duck. Earlier reviews said the duck was very salty and some said the meat was dry but this was not the case tonight. The meat was tender and moist; perhaps slightly on the salty side but this helps crisp the skin. The cider sauce and apple slaw provided a nice balance. I would definitely order it again. The staff were very pleasant and the service was well timed. The hotel has a great vibe and retains an original feel. The wine list had some excellent local wines. This is a great option particularly if you are in Beechworth on a Monday night when many restaurants are closed.
Georgina N — Google review
Basic but comfortable rooms in the classic old hotel. Great place to stay for lovers of pub style accommodation and right in the middle of town. Have a nightcap in the upstairs lounge if you’re staying. There was a good range of craft beers on tap. Food had run out the night we stayed as it was a busy night but the Bridge Road Brewery is right next door. Rooms 2 and 12 are probably the noisiest rooms as they’re the closest to the bar and they are not behind the noise reduction door. Loved our stay and planning to be back.
Dominic F — Google review
I was exhausted from riding the Murray to Mountains trail and Tanswell Hotel was exactly what I needed. It was warm, cosy and clean. I had a great night’s sleep. I spent most of my rest day in the Hotel because it was a nice place to be. It was also very quiet because their kitchen was closed. Such a great location that a closed kitchen did not matter.

We went to the Tanswell for dinner last night and really enjoyed our meals & our night. The staff were really lovely and attentative.the young lady who took our reservation and looked after us in the dining room was great. I had veggie lasagne (really large serving, i couldnt finish it), and my husband had steak. We had apple crumble for desert which was made to order and was deliscious. After dinner we went to the community band session (jamswellls) which topped our night off . Really fun to watch some super talented locals doung their thing!

DECENT PUB MEAL IN CENTRAL BEECHWORTH Tanswell's offers a Tuesday steak night.. cheap and cheerful.. one steak choice served with chips. If you want to be seated in the inside dining room.. book ahead.. otherwise you should readily get a table on the footpath or out the back. Order and pay for your meal and they'll bring it to your table. Order drinks at a separate bar. People with mobility issues will be fine here as the pub is all on one level (although outdoor tables have built in seating that would be challenging. Not too noisy. Cards and cash.
Ian W — Google review
Went to Tanswell’s for dinner after a recommendation. So glad we did as the food was fantastic as was the local wine and beer. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The size of the servings was extremely generous so would recommend go easy through the day . Absolutely look forward to going back

The establishment combines professional hospitality with community amenity. Guests can mingle with the locals at the bar and enjoy reasonably priced good wines by the glass.
We came in for dinner tonight, absolutely blown away by the wonderful experience! Super friendly and professional service The staff were very accomodating to my severe allergy, making sure that I could still enjoy a great feed that was safe from contamination. (It’s rare to have my allergy this well managed, so grateful). The food was sincerely the most delicious meal I’ve had in years, a happy coincidence! I can absolutely recommend the tandoori lamb, pork belly, truffle fries, and green beans! So much flavour packed in with each dish along with nice presentation, thoroughly stoked with the experience and can’t wait to return.

The dining room was recommended to us by our host at our nearby accommodation and we're so glad that we followed it. The food was outstanding - with the scallop entree the highlight of the meal. We also enjoyed some lovely Beechworth wines. The service was friendly and efficient.

My wife and 2 young kids had the best experience here. I don’t usually leave reviews but felt like I should let others know how good the staff and owners were. The owner gave my 2 yr old son some cars to play with while waiting for his dinner, and offered to walk my baby in the pram around to help her get to sleep so that we could eat in peace. The food was great, I got the steaks and they were cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back here and highly recommend it for others, particularly with young families.

Sumptuous food, beautiful old building, the most warm and charming hosts and dog friendly!!! We absolutely loved everything on the menu - including a good range of vegetarian options!! The food was so delicious we went back again the very next night to try more dishes!!! All absolutely mouthwatering!!! The staff were very happy to accommodate our little greyhound. There is a beautiful enclosed balcony with a stunning view of sunset and inbuilt heaters. We were so warm on a cold wet May evening, we had to take off our jumpers. Just a superb experience all round. Cannot recommend highly enough!!

Thanks Empire Hotel for a fantastic night. The service and food were amazing. I made a booking mistake and arrived with our party of 10 1 day late. The management were so gracious and opened up a section to accommodate us. We could not believe the quality of the food and Andy was a fabulous host and we had a lot of laughs. Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic meal! The restaurant is beautiful and staff super friendly. We set at the varanda and watched the sunset while enjoyed and well cooked meal with really fresh ingredients. They have great options of wine by the glass or many bottles to choose from. There were also some craft beers on tap and delicious cocktails. I highly recommend the place for a chilled drink or a delicious meal. Best yet they are a very short distance from the town and the Beechworth lake. If you are staying at the hotel the location is perfect.

Amazing!! Food is phenomenal. Staff were amazingly attentive and went above and beyond. The wine list showcases quality wines and the cocktails are top notch. This place was faultless. Our only problem was that we hadn’t visited sooner! This place will become our regular.

Best Indian food for miles i dare say! (even though i haven't been to any other Indian restaurant around😅) . We've been here twice so far and the food was very yummy. Service was good and it has a hood ambiance. 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

$140 for 4 adults(2 seniors) and 2 kids 4 & 10 was a bit pricey. Service was slow. Restaurant appeared understaffed. The 2 servings of rice we ordered were very small and were served in one dish. The naan breads were also small for the price. The food was very good. The restaurant had good ambience. Staff were very nice.

Nice friendly atmosphere. Food was decent but not amazing. Ordered the Beechworth banquet for 2. For $50 we expected a little more food than what was dished up. Overall the experience was good. One of few dinner options in Beechworth that's not a pub or pizza.

Service was slow. Ordered the Beechworth banquet for two and it took about 1.25 hours until we got the entree let alone the main. Food was average, a bit bland. Staff were lovely but not very attentive in their service.
Monique K — Google review
We visit here every time we visit Beechworth and were so disappointed this time. The young waiter really didn't want to be there, not sure if he is a family member but he couldn't be bothered. My Lamb Roghan was nice if a little watery but good flavours. My partner had Chicken Madras which was water consistency. Very disappointing, we did get a refund for the Madras.
ELizabeth E — Google review
Limited menu, very average food and less than attentive staff. Young women pulled her mask down to stand there and bite her nails. Used to be so much better. Lots of potential.

Very nice! Cozy dim-lit atmosphere. Ordered a Beechworth banquet. Fairly quick turnaround. Butter chicken and lamb rogan josh was beautiful, but wasn't so keen on the bombay dal (personal distaste). Quantity of food wasn't as much as the majority of other Indian restaurants I've visited, but the quality was very good! Customer service was great. Will go again in the future.

Bespoke cafe using farmgate produce. Very limited menu that only uses local, in-season produce to design that creative menu. Something special. The small kitchen surprises with the output! Not the most economical but very special. Need to plan your visit with small number of tables. Covid has changed hours so check before you go. Has condiments they use in kitchen are for sale to get the authentic flavours at home.

The first thing that caught my eye is the interesting breakfast menu. Alot of the familiar brekkie items, and then there was congee. A non-traditional chicken congee that I did not expect. It was served by the chef with a smile and a sense of genuine warmth with her creation. And it was bloody good. Warms my heart and stomach on a cold day, and I love it so much that I had to come back again two days later before leaving. My partner ordered the eggs with mushrooms and it was just as good along with amazing coffee. We will definitely back again!

What a hidden gem. Amandhis does the best breakfast in Beechworth (plus has the best bacon from local butcher CC's Quality Butcher & Smokehouse). With fresh produce from their garden and other local suppliers, we made breakfast at Amandhis the start of each day. Sadly dinner was not on the menu given it was early Jan and the holiday season still prevailed but for those who are lucky enough to be in Beechworth in the evening (and of course, the morning), add this to your list.

Kellz Kitch is a cherished dining spot that has captured the hearts of many with its diverse menu and delightful offerings. The fish and chips are another highlight, with patrons declaring them as some of the finest they've enjoyed in quite some time.
First time back in Victoria in a few years, we couldn't wait to try some flake and home made potato cakes! We went here and they were great - not oily, tasty and good portions. Florescent yellow rubbish chips that are soggy. Gravy tastes like something like I imagine mucus to taste like. Huge delay (35min for a serve of chips) and then rubbish service. Complete waste of money. Not the first time, but never again.

Chip and potato cakes were well cooked and seasoned! Good prices and good sized serves. Medium easily feeds a few people chips! The products being used are the buy in frozen varieties, and the dim sims definitely seemed more of a microwave cook than out of a steamer as they were quite dry. Definitely a decent feed. Service was prompt. Time frames given accurate.
