Nestled between the Colquhoun Forest and the North Arm, about 10km from Lakes Entrance, Wyanga Park Winery is a family-owned gem established in 1970. It's renowned for being the only winery in East Gippsland to produce Prosecco.
We had a wonderful time at the Resto. Food was perfect, loved the baked Brie with Onion Jam & chili prawns comes with delicious toasted bread!! Although we had to wait for long time for food to arrive, it’s totally understandable due to Easter Holidays and well worth the wait. Servers were very friendly and attentive despite busy as a bee. Will definitely come back the third time.

We visited Wyanga Park Winery for their Mexican Night dinner and were absolutely delighted! We found the winery easily using Google Maps, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm, rustic atmosphere. The venue itself is super cosy, filled with quirky artwork and creative touches that make it feel more like a hidden treasure than just a winery. The night was buzzing — clearly a favourite among locals and travellers alike — but the team handled the busy crowd beautifully. We started with a wine tasting, which was a lovely way to sample their range (highly recommend the whites!). It was a great way to ease into the evening and pick up a bottle or two for home. Dinner was the highlight — I had the chicken fajitas, and my husband had the deconstructed tacos. Both meals were fresh, generous in portion, and packed with flavour. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into their food. Despite it being Mexican night, the ingredients and presentation felt refined, not rushed. Another great touch is the little shop area where you can buy their wines, as well as local jams and artisan products — a perfect way to support small producers in the area. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Lakes Entrance. This is the kind of place you stumble across and immediately want to tell all your friends about. Whether you’re going for the wine, the food, or just to soak in the vibe, Wyanga Park Winery delivers.

Cute little place for a wine tasting and a bite to eat. Lovely staff and it was even better that they have a winery dog! So cute! I’ve been here a few times before for tastings and always love coming back. Thank you for having us. We had the baked Brie and Wyanga bread. So yummy!

Perfect weather for our lunch cruise. The winery itself was set was quaint, the staff particularly Jamie and Pommy John were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable making our meal and drinks all the more enjoyable. The cheesecake was amazing!
Joy M — Google review
Really enjoyed our experience at the Wyanga Park Winery. Although we are not wine drinkers, we enjoyed a lovely lunch today and Devonshire tea, yesterday. We ordered the seafood chowder, which was recommended to us by the friendly staff and certainly didn’t disappoint. Lovely location, friendly staff and dog friendly also. Highly recommended.
Barbara B — Google review
What a terrific afternoon catching the boat across to Wyanga Park Winery. The scenic boat trip was a great lead in to an excellent lunch from some very welcoming hosts at the winery. The lunch was delicious! Highly recommend the dumpling soup and the seafood chowder. Enjoyed the wine tasting and our young host was excellent. Buy a bottle and borrow some glasses for the trip home 🍷
Jason A — Google review
I organised a boat cruise and meal at the Wyanga Park Winery for 29 people the cruise was great. The meals and service were also great. Our waiter was very efficient. The Fish and Chips were the best chips ever. The photo is only part of meal as it was from shared plate. I would recommend Wyanga Park Winery to anyone who wants a great day out either do the cruise or drive there.
Garry T — Google review
This was our 3rd or 4th visit to Wyanga Park Winery and Restaurant as a couple, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The food is consistently excellent—no complaints at all. If anything, the hardest part is choosing what to eat because everything on the menu sounds so good! We started with the baked Brie to share, and honestly, it was incredible—so moorish we both agreed we could have happily had it as our main course. The dessert menu posed the same “problem”—too many fantastic options and only so much room! The service was warm, enthusiastic, and attentive, and the setting has that cozy, homey charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. We happily recommend Wyanga Park to anyone visiting Lakes Entrance and will absolutely return—again!

Nestled in the picturesque town of Lakes Entrance, Sodafish is a unique floating restaurant that has been revitalized by former The Atlantic chef, Nick Mahlook. Originally the Raymond Island Ferry, this culinary gem now serves as a beacon for seafood enthusiasts. With its menu elevating traditional fish and chips to new heights, Sodafish proudly showcases fresh catches sourced directly from local fishing boats—talk about dining at the source!
An unforgettable experience at Sodafish. The food and wine were absolutely exceptional, highly recommend the king fish and the scollops. We sat out on the deck with the winter sun, and it truly felt like heaven. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and to top it all off, we were sent home with a freshly baked loaf of their bread. A perfect day in every way!

Fine dining in a beautiful beachside setting. We chose to enjoy the 3 course Chefs Signature Tasting. Each dish was exceptionally well thought out, and beautifully paired with an accompanying wine. Our host Mary was warm and friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable on local food and wine. Chef and owner Nick was accommodating of my allergies, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend.
Emilie R — Google review
Ordered the signature set $65 pp. We were expecting a satisfying meal with delicious local seafood. However, we were disappointed. First of all, the portion was very small for each course and we both left the restaurant still famished. We just can’t wrap our heads around how we spent 100 over dollars on a meal and still be hungry. Secondly, we waited for 30 minutes in between each course and that really spoiled our dining experience. And I saw every customer around us waited for a long time for their food as well. The taste of the food was fine, not mind blowing but the seafood was fresh. However, I think the restaurant should have simpler cooking methods that highlight the beautiful quality of local seafood.
Jacqueline L — Google review
The staff were friendly & welcoming, food was amazing. We booked dinner and the atmosphere and lighting was very inviting. Would definitely dine again when back in Lakes Entrance.
Paul C — Google review
Everyone recommended dinner @ Sodafish but it fell short on service and main course. I ordered the Taste of Sodafish, a 5-course tasting dinner menu! The starters were served so fast I had to tell the server to slow down - I upgraded to the wagyu steak stead of the catch of the day - Dory - and ordered it ‘rare’ but was served medium - later I learnt that because it was sous-vide, it was cooked medium … it would have been helpful to know this at the time of ordering or be advised if the temperature beforehand to make a better decision! Overall I was not impressed!
Lillie E — Google review
We were travelling back from Mallacoota to Melbourne and stopped for lunch. It was raining, windy and cold but the staff were so helpful setting up a table for three with a gas heater at the deck so we could eat with our dogs. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive and friendly. A must for anyone who wants incredibly fresh seafood in a lovely setting on the water.
Charlie A — Google review
I celebrated my birthday at Sodafish, and it was an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed a 6-course meal called the Taste of Sodafish, with wine pairings for each course, while watching the sunset over the harbor. The view was stunning and made the evening even more special. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our favorites were the octopus skewer, the fresh tuna crudo, the melt-in-your-mouth Black Opal wagyu scotch fillet, and the warm madeleine with honey parfait for dessert – a perfect ending. The food, wine, and atmosphere combined to create a celebration worth remembering. It was definitely worth it, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fine dining experience by the water.

We visited for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere and location were beautiful, and the service was excellent. However, I found the food to be just average it was edible but not particularly impressive.

Jemmys Point Lookout, located 2 km west of Kalimna on the Princes Highway, offers breathtaking views of Lakes Entrance and Bass Strait. The overhanging bluff provides an excellent vantage point to admire the unending coastline. According to Aboriginal legends, it was once inhabited by Nyols, small fairy-like beings. Visitors can enjoy informative signage and a picturesque walk starting at the Fishing Club on Bullock Island.
If you’re ever in Lakes Entrance, this spot is an absolute must! The views are breathtakingly beautiful and truly capture the magic of this coastal gem. 🌅 Don’t miss the chance to soak in the scenery—it’s worth every moment!
Peny S — Google review
This afternoon, I decided to go for a short walk around Jemmy's Point after I finished my shopping at Lakes Entrance. This area has certainly changed a lot since I last visited. There is a sealed driveway up to the Lookout, parking, concrete and gravel pathways, viewing platforms, modern signage and a public toilet block. I also discovered that one of the walking tracks leads to Point Road and Hazel Road through some stunning cool vegetation and timber steps. It's not a long walk but it's definitely a scenic one with lots of opportunities to see The Entrance and the Gippsland Lakes.
Michael D — Google review
Beautiful view of the lakes entrance but not much else to see or do there beside take a photo. 5 minutes tops for a visit.

Nice place to visit. There is BBQ & Toilet facilities so you can do picnic here. Highly recommended very beautiful views. Pics taken on 26/04/2025.

Great views of the river entrance and surrounding areas well worth the visit.

It was ok, the frame was cool but at a early morning time of day it's in the wrong light and difficult to see in a photo. There's toilets and a BBQ area which is a plus for a nice view and feed.

Worth a stop if you're passing or staying in Lakes Entrance. Great views, really well maintained picnic area, modern toilets and small park area.

Excellent views from Jimmy's Point Lookout. Restricted parking, only allowing between 6-8 vehicles due to some roadworks being carried out nearby. Pleasant locals who were very helpful.

Albert & Co is a charming cafe with a coastal ambiance, offering delightful dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The cafe's menu features hearty lunch options like wild mushroom pappardelle and fresh fish and chips, all prepared using seafood from nearby boats and eggs and beef from local farms. The cafe's stylish interior reflects the seaside surroundings, while its commitment to showcasing local produce is evident in every dish.
Albert & Co is an absolute gem in Lakes Entrance! The space is incredibly roomy, making it perfect for both large groups and solo visits. There’s even a bar area with extra seating, including comfy sofas where you can relax with a drink. We were a group of 10 family members, and they were able to accommodate us almost immediately, which was impressive. The food is outstanding—everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Their smoothies and drinks were just as good, and the coffee was consistently excellent. I visited Albert & Co four times during my week-long stay in Lakes Entrance because it’s by far the most comfortable and inviting spot in town. Despite the high-end ambiance, the pricing is very reasonable and on par with other local cafes. I also loved how easy it was to order from the QR code system—it made the experience so smooth and efficient. In the mornings, it’s a great place to sit with a coffee and get some work done. The atmosphere is always calm and never overcrowded. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, great coffee, and a relaxed vibe, Albert & Co is an absolute must-visit!

Foods are good. Surcharge 10% on weekend. Price a little high. The milk shake and the waffle so níce.
Minh C — Google review
What a peaceful, organised and refined place to have a Melbourne Cup breakie. Easy QR table ordering service and friendly staff. Situated overlooking the water and boats. A must visit. Could have a long bar table so single people have a spot and don’t take up a full table.
Michelle W — Google review
This place has beautiful, eye-catching decor with a marine theme that really sets the mood. The food portions are huge and well worth the price. I didn’t ask for chips, and they generously added more salad instead—a nice touch! The fish was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh, straight from the lakes. Great food and atmosphere.
Rosalina W — Google review
A comforting breakfast in Lakes—just what we needed to start the day right. The food was delicious, the teas brewed from quality loose leaves, and the orange juice was spot on—fresh, bright, and full of flavour.
Alexandre Y — Google review
Great vibes and beautiful environment. Though it's overly hyped, touristy and a little too pricey. For $7 coffee, I'd also expect a decent size cup of coffee but received a flat white slightly bigger than an espresso.
Aaron — Google review
Once we found this place on our recent trip, we went for breakfast each day and every time was sensational. Generous portions, and everything was very fresh and tasty. Great coffee and wonderful staff.
Dani — Google review
We stopped for hot drinks in the morning to check them out. For $14.50 we got two mugs. The flat white was 'light on flavour ', and the almond milk chai latte was insipid and tasteless! The only flavour was in the sprinkles ontop. It tasted like sweet hot milk. Very poor. Won't be back! P.S. Turns out they gave me cow milk in my chai latte, instead of almond milk, as an hour later I was violently ill. The service was not at all friendly, Infact the blond man behind the counter looked positively sullen! We all have bad days but when you're in Customer Service you have to put your Customer Service hat on - grin and bear it. After reading the 1 star reviews - we're very glad we didn't order food.

Specialty Museums
The Griffiths Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display in Lakes Entrance, Australia, is a charming museum and retail shop that boasts an extensive collection of over 90,000 shells and sea creatures from around the world. Visitors can marvel at rare specimens such as giant clams, sea horses, and octopuses. The museum also features a Coral Reef room with illuminated corals and aquariums showcasing local marine life. Additionally, there is a well-presented model train display for added enjoyment.
We were here few weeks back and this is one of the biggest seashell museums I’ve ever seen – the collection is absolutely huge and simply amazing! There are countless varieties of seashells in all shapes, sizes, and beautiful colours. It's truly a unique and fascinating place to explore. They also have a lovely little shop where you can purchase seashells and other small souvenirs. The lady who looks after the shop is incredibly friendly and kind, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. If you’re heading to Lakes Entrance, this place is a must-visit. A great stop for families, collectors, or anyone who enjoys nature’s beauty on display. The entrance fee for adults is $10 and for kids $5.
Loraine A — Google review
There was a wonderful large octopus on the outside of the building, making it easy to find. Located on the Esplanade opposite the water. Adequate free off street parking and street parking. The store was full of thousands of shells, crafts made with shells, jewelery, magnets, sea creature ornaments, tea towels, bags etc. There was a fee to proceed through to the model railway and aquarium - We didn’t do this part Overall we enjoyed our visit, but it was much smaller than we expected and it felt a bit run down.
M S — Google review
A delightful shop that also serves as a maritime museum. It features many interesting exhibits, such as shells and souvenirs. You can spend a few hours here carefully examining all the displayed items. This place will appeal to both adults and children.
K K — Google review
I visited this absolutely amazing place on Friday morning. Saw the horseshoe crab on the shelf, and purchased it immediately. The owners were very kind, helpful and packed it for me carefully. There are a lot of other beautiful shells as well. Will definitely be back next time when visiting Lake Entrance!
Quinlan M — Google review
Our visit to this museum was a frustrating and disappointing experience. When we tried to purchase 6 children’s tickets and 1 adult ticket, the staff refused, claiming one adult could not supervise six children and that the kids might damage the exhibits. They insisted we buy an additional adult ticket, which felt unreasonable. When I asked if they even knew how old our kids were, a male staff member rudely responded, “I don’t know how old they are, but I know kids are always busy and need supervision.” This clearly showed a negative bias toward children, regardless of their age or behavior. For the record, only one of our six kids is below 7 years old and the others are well-behaved and mature. There was no clear policy displayed about the adult-to-child ratio or the age of children requiring adult supervision. This lack of transparency makes it feel arbitrary and unfair, leaving families at the mercy of staff who seem to make up the rules as they go. The entire experience was unfair, impolite, and poorly managed. Families, especially those with multiple kids, should avoid this museum as they have negative bias on kids. It would be better for them to show their policy clearly and publicly. I would not recommend this place to families.

A lovely spot to visit that has remained unchanged in years gone by. First visited about 20 years ago and visited again for the first time in April 2025 before coming back again in July. Absolute gem of a place. Incredible range in the shop and run by lovely people.
Byron C — Google review
Small run family business, running over 60 years. Extensive collection of shells that you can purchase as well as gemstones and shell decor. The museum has a wonderful assortment of shells, specimens, taxidermy and interesting stories and contributors to the displays. Wonderfully friendly customer service. We always stop into The Griffiths Sea Shell museum eveeytime we travel to Lakes Entrance. There is always some to learn and discover.
Genevieve H — Google review
Worth a visit if you are in Lakes Entrance. It has a collection of shells from around the world. Quite a good collection and some shells are surprisingly beautiful and large. It also has shark jaws on display and crabs, fish, crocodile, turtle taxidermy. Interesting place to visit. It also has a small railroad diorama. Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for children to be paid at the counter upon entry. Upon entering there is a shop as well which sells interesting shells, stones and other stuff. Would recommend this place.

Amusement park
Lakes Entrance Aqua Park is a must-visit destination for families and groups of friends seeking an exciting water adventure in Lakes Entrance. Situated on the eastern shore, this all-year-round park offers a variety of activities such as slides, paddle bikes, and paddle boats. It's perfect for kids to enjoy an hour-long session after a safety briefing and wearing life jackets. Parents should ensure their children can swim and be reasonably fit to climb back onto the inflatable pads from the water.
Must visit place if you visit lakes entrance with kids. This inflated aqua park is great fun for kids to spend their holiday. One session lasts about an hour you have to walk on a sand bridge to the platform. After buying your tickets you need to attend a mandatory safety brief to make sure you and kids stay safe. All should wear a life jacket and should be 10y or older if not I think you need to fill a form to take responsibility of your child and be around all times. Loads of fun and you will not forget your adventures. You have paddle boats kayak rides and nearby theme park opened after 5.00pm till late.
Gihan R — Google review
Fantastic Aqua Park for those fit and or young. Must be a reasonably good swimmer to swim out to the obstacles and to stay safe. Day passes and shorter sessions were available.
M S — Google review
Such a fun experience! We all really enjoyed this (adults and kids) and thought it was great value for money. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming too. We will definitely do it again next time we're in Lakes Entrance.
Riaane C — Google review
Terrible experience. This place is only for perfect swimmers — if you get into trouble, nobody will help you. The lifeguards have no idea what's going on, and the life jackets are basically just for show. On top of that, the water was dirty and smelled awful. Definitely not worth it.wish I can give negative rating.
Pawan H — Google review
Great fun for the whole family! Great viewing area for family members watching on shore. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 👌

Buy your tickets online before you arrive. 50 min sessions sold. We pd about $90ish for a family of 4 ticket. It was so much fun!! It is not easy to get back on when I fell off but was a wonderful experience. Life jacket provided by them. Not wheelchair friendly ❤️
Bindi P — Google review
Nice relaxing experience on the paddle boats and the paddle bikes. Helpful staff. 2 adults and 2 kids on the boats and 2 on the bikes. You can also go on the adventure park. $25 per person for a 50 Min session on inflatables on water.

Family of four, with two kids aged 12 and 10. We booked an all day pass thinking we would get an early session in during the morning and then come back for a second session at the end of the day ….. the kids had other plans and stayed all day from 10am to 3pm. Brilliant value for money. Would highly recommend making a day of it and booking an all day pass. There is a bathroom and kiosk near by but would recommend bringing your own sun shade as well as snacks and water. Thank you for an awesome day on the water

Lakes Entrance Lookout serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the charming seaside resort town and fishing port. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the town's stunning lake coastlines, coastal heathlands, and the endless expanse of Bass Strait. Visitors can capture mesmerizing photos from this vantage point and then take a leisurely stroll along the esplanade or access hiking tracks to Flagstaff Lookout across the footbridge.
The Lakes Entrance Lookout is such a nice spot to take in the views. You can see birds flying around, which adds a bit of magic to the whole experience. It’s a peaceful place to stop and enjoy the scenery. It’s only about a 5-minute drive from Lakes Entrance town, and there’s a small car park available.

What a stunning view of Lakes Entrance from the lookout! This is our third time coming back to the area, but it’s our first time visiting the lookout. The view is especially beautiful on sunny days or during sunset. We will definitely come back to this place!

Visited this lookout during a Sunday afternoon. Fantastic view of the inland lake networks and gives you a really zommed out view of the the lakes. Great place for a photoshoot with the family. Just be careful with the turns to reach this place, I found them little taxing.

The lookout has a modern new look which is quite attractive but still overlooks the actual entrance to the bays. It was interesting to see the sand dredges working away. The views are great on a nice clear day, the water is so clear, a great contrast to the sand of the islands. Plenty of parking for any vehicle, no toilets though. Entrance is opposite the blue tree.

Peels Cruises, a long-standing family enterprise with decades of operation, offers delightful tours to the charming coastal village of Metung. Guests can revel in the serene waterways and bask in the warm sunshine while listening to informative anecdotes from the captain about Australia's largest inland waterway. The captain strikes a balance by not monopolizing communication channels and instead seizes every opportunity to navigate close to graceful pelicans and lounging seals.
We had an amazing experience with Peels Cruises! The highlight of the trip was definitely seeing the dolphins, as they were so playful and beautiful. The entire cruise was relaxing and well-organized, making it a perfect way to enjoy the water and connect with nature.

Highly recommend Peels Cruise at Lakes Entrance! 🌊 We had such a wonderful experience — beautiful views, friendly crew, and a relaxing ride on the water. It’s a great way to explore the lakes, spot some wildlife, and enjoy the fresh air. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone visiting Lakes Entrance! 💙 Thanks to the Peels Cruise team for an amazing day out! 🙌
Tilly P — Google review
My husband and I really enjoyed our cruise with Peel’s Cruises. Amanda was friendly and welcoming when we booked over the phone, and then she remembered us when we met on the day to pay at the ticket office. The boat was comfortable. Our cruise was about 1 hour 15 minutes, and took us up as far as Metung and then back around and stopped in the sea entrance to the Lakes where we saw seals and dolphins swimming around in the water. The Captain gave a good commentary along the way, with just enough information, but not constant chatter. Highly recommend their cruises.
Belinda H — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking experience! So much fun. Lots of wildlife to look at. The staff were very friendly, coffee was great and facilities were clean. The captain went above and beyond and let my daughter steer the wheel, so thoughtful and rewarding! Lunch at Metung was delicious 😋 Plenty of time to eat lunch, have a couple of drinks and board the boat for the return trip back to Lakes Entrance. Highly recommended for all ages!

Friendly staff (esp Amanda Jane at the booking office and the boat crew), comfortable boat, clean amenities, interesting commentary. Lunch at the Metung Hotel was of high standard. We saw lots of sea birds, dolphins, seals and beautiful lakeside scenery. Relaxing and interesting 4 hours cruise. Thank you!😊

Had a great afternoon cruising on the 70km trip. When the sun was out you could stay on the balcony area or go inside if it got too cold. Toured all the way up to Lake King and got a good commentary from the captain along the way. Saw seals and pelicans on the tour. Really enjoyed it!

Lakes Entrance Segway Adventures offers a thrilling way to discover the stunning landscapes of Lakes Entrance in Victoria. As you glide along on your personal segway, you'll be treated to breathtaking views and fascinating insights from knowledgeable guides who are passionate about the area. The tours take you through charming town spots and along the scenic waterfront, ensuring a blend of fun and learning. With clear instructions and patient guidance, even beginners will feel at ease navigating these easy-to-maneuver segways.
As first time Segway users I was a little apprehensive about my skill level with balance. Johns training was very informative and his sense of humour made you feel at ease. Bernadette has an amazing talent to guide you through any anxious moments and trust me follow both of their leads in training and you won’t fail. Best fun ever. That was my first time as well. That was the most fun I have had in ages. I am 58 years old. The training was entertaining and it made Sense trusted what she said and it worked. Loved it.

This is the best adventure we had during our stay in Lakes Entrance. John and Bernadette are very friendly and very helpful. The duration is about 90min and you can ride about 5km even on the beach as well. John takes nice photos of individuals and groups. This ride is really worth for money and highly recommended attraction in Lakes Entrance.
Sanjaka P — Google review
It was our first time experiencing Segway. John was very funny on how he provided the instructions and made is very easy for myself and my family. We have done various activities in Australia including Quad bike in New Castle, the best part with Segway was that it was not rushed through the fun. We were given approx 2 hours for the segway fun and we went through grass, concrete, sand and dirt road and watched beautiful scenery on the way. It was a memorable experience and we all loved it. My suggestion would be to book in advance as this will be very popular during peak season.

We went on a Segway tour around Lakes Entrance with Lakes Entrance Segway Adventures. It was a fantastic experience. It was easy to book online and they provided great service from the confirmation to the end of the tour. The orientation was thorough but fun. It was much easier to ride the Segway than I thought it would be and even with the odd issue we all had a great time. It was a great way to get a look around the town and the beach. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Absolutely loved the experience. Bernadette and John really pour their heart into this experience. Very thorough and friendly couple who ensures you are having a good time while maintaining the safety of everyone. So worth the time and money. A must do thing. Quick Tip especially for Adults: Cherish your inner child here. Bring that excitement out like a child does when trying something fun 🤩. Follow the instructions clearly and use this opportunity to connect to the nature and those in the group. Thank you to you two for such a wonderful experience ☺️
H G — Google review
This was hands down one of the best experiences my daughter and I have had on a trip. It was just the two of us on the Segway tour, and John made it feel like a private adventure. John was super friendly, patient, and had us riding like pros in no time. We cruised through the beautiful Lakes Entrance scenery, stopped to admire swans and their adorable baby cygnets, and even snapped some great photos. But the best part? John taught us how to do the Titanic pose on the Segways—yes, arms out, wind in our hair, full dramatic effect. It was hilarious and unforgettable! John’s local knowledge, relaxed vibe, and sense of fun made the whole experience feel really special. If you're in Lakes Entrance and want something unique and memorable—this is it. Huge thanks to John for an amazing day!

So much fun, wasn’t sure I could do it but gee it was pretty easy to use! The owners are fantastic and even take a great pic or 2…. Highly recommend, great activity and not something you can do ‘everywhere’!

Sadly didn't get to do this tour that I'd booked months ago. As a storm was for Sun 26 Oct, I tried to change my booking to Fri 24 Oct instead. But no, couldn't, the long response I got in the call from Bernadette was ... too far to travel ... too expensive, don't cover costs ... too many renos going on ... usually ok ... Dan Andrew's fault ... didn't know how to confirm a cancellation ... only got two others in the afternoon ... The list went on and on. Sorry Bernadette but none of the above is a customer's problem. You offer a service and the option to cancel with full refund because of bad weather. But you're not available to cover a change of date. You need to add a seasonal note so that travellers like us from Western Australia are aware that you don't operate under certain circumstances. Thankfully I have now been advised of the refund. We were so looking forward to this tour having done Segway tours elsewhere. Very disappointed indeed. UPDATED TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER ... what would have been the point of going in the afternoon when we clearly requested by email to change to Fri or Sat? The forecast was worse for the arvo!! Plus, what if someone else wanted to do a tour on Fri or Sat? You say "no" and give them all the reasons you quoted me? Your business is entitled Lakes Entrance Segway so one would assume that's where it's run and available from.

Nestled just a short stroll from the lively town center, Lakes Entrance Beach is a breathtaking expanse of golden sand that beckons beach enthusiasts of all ages. This picturesque destination offers an array of activities, from sunbathing and playing beach games to crafting intricate sandcastles. The gentle waves create a welcoming environment for swimming and boogie boarding, while the unobstructed horizon provides stunning views at sunrise and sunset.
I went there on New Year's eve and even though it was flooded with people, coming here was so refreshing. Sunny day and cool crystal clear blue water was a perfect combo. It is a bit of a walk from the car park but the walk is amazing. There is even a park for kids to enjoy. Overall the whole experience was quite good.

What a lovely beach, and clean too! You get to it over the footbridge from the Esplanade, which does mean that the beach is quieter as it’s too far for some folk It’s a bit early in the season a it was cooler today and a bit of a wind so a warmer jacket was needed by me but people were still in the water. There’s a good walk up or down the beach so you can certainly get your steps in. I can’t confirm that the cafe is open or what condition the toilets were in.

Natural places always have my heart in a chokehold it seems. Came back the evening before we were due to return back home just to see the blazing natural sunset. Restrooms are available in you require that information. (And showers/ drink taps). The place where the land, sea and sky met evoked a purely magical feeling of spiritual peace never before felt by myself.

Lonsdale Eco Cruise offers a range of eco-cruises exploring the beautiful Gippsland Lakes and its surroundings. From two-hour trips to full-day experiences, visitors can observe wildlife like dolphins, seals, stingrays, and migratory birds in their natural habitats while learning about the area's history through informative commentary. The family-run business provides comfortable seating options on both upper and lower decks with outdoor spaces or windows for optimal viewing.
We went on the Lonsdale Eco Cruise as part of a family holiday for my Dad's birthday. What a delightful journey. We called ahead and spoke to Mel, who was very accommodating and said we could arrive and pay on the day for our group of 8. I was pleasantly surprised to see a sign at the ticket booth that they offer gluten free scones, which was super exciting for us as half of our group are coeliac, so mentioned as we were paying and absolutely no problem for them to accommodate. We sat on the top deck and had a magnificent view of the water. The captain shared lots of knowledge of each part of the journey, including history of the area and local landmarks. Mel's scones were fabulous! The gluten free scones with jam and cream were delicious! Our birthday boy got a larger serving and enjoyed his morsel very much. Mel came up to have a chat with us, a very friendly person. I highly recommend taking this site seeing cruise if you're in the area, an absolute must!

We had an amazing experience with Lonsdale Eco Cruise at Lakes Entrance! Mel was so lovely and accommodating throughout the whole trip, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. The homemade scones she served were absolutely delicious – definitely a highlight! A big thank you also to her husband, who was a fantastic guide. He was so knowledgeable and made sure we got an incredible close-up view of the seals, which was such a special moment. Highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Lakes Entrance!

Seeing the Lakes Entrance inlet and lakes with Lonsdale Eco cruises was so enjoyable. Their boat gives in & outside options to sit, you can get warm beverages to enjoy, and I loved watching the coastline and wildlife from the upper deck. Midway we had Mel’s delicious scones, and I heart so many interesting facts about the ocean, lakes and animals in this stunning area of Gippsland. Thank you for the lovely time, I can recommend your tour to everyone💕

If you only do 1 cruise in Lakes Entrance, this is the one to do. The captain is very knowledgeable and gives very informative commentary. We saw seal's and a large kangaroo, plenty of bird life which the captain is also very knowledgeable about and points out many places of interest. The scones for afternoon tea are absolutely delicous, the only problem with them is ...... 1 isn't enough. Was a wonderful afternoon, would highly recommend 👌

Fantastic family fun. We had a wonderful tour of the lakes entrance and beyond. We saw seals, birdlife and the stunning scenic views. This eco cruise is a must do if you're visiting anywhere near Lakes Entrance. Melinda was fantastic in letting us know that she had enough people for the cruise to go ahead. Mid winter, so not too many tourists around. Captain Tony gave an excellent commentary on the history of the lakes as well as the flora and fauna. He's clearly passionate about what he does and the areas conservation. We saw seals, dolphins, lots of bird life and kangaroos. Wow, Mel's scones were 11/10! She also had tea (including herbal and fruit teas) and coffee which you can help yourself to at any time. An all round excellent trip which I'd recommend to people of all ages. Thanks for making our day so spectacular Tony and Mel :-)

Amazing! Best putt putt we have ever been to. Attended with myself and 8 and 10 year old. It was busy (school hols), but fine and super enjoyable! We took the kids here to have a game of mini golf. Very well set up and the kids enjoyed the time they spent here. The lollie shop with the many different varieties lollies was great. Very kind of the owners to set up the 19th hole(the clown) to treat the kids after a great time playing. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Thank you. I highly recommend as it is the best one the kids have played at.

Venture Out Australia is a shop with helpful and knowledgeable staff, offering great advice without pressure to buy. They have good prices on carbon fiber paddles and e-bikes, and allow customers to try stand-up paddleboards before purchasing. The crew at Lake Entrance provides professional demos for activities like kayaking, making it a memorable experience. Customers appreciate the accommodating customer service and the opportunity to explore the area with provided maps and waterproof bags.
Venture got us on the water at short notice in a couple of kayaks. The price was good and we got detailed tuition in how to use them. The kayaks and paddles were in good condition and we didn’t have any problems apart from our own amateurishness as kayakers. The lake conditions were quite windy and anyone wanting to get on the water in Lakes Entrance should keep weather conditions in mind but Venture Out gave good advice on which way to go in order to get the best experience.

Good place to rent Kayaks and you will be provided life jackets. You will be on your own on the water as there’s no one to watch how you do it. It would be great if some supervision could be provided while the people are on water.

My husband and I went stand-up paddling for sunset for the first time with Venture Out, and it was an amazing experience! Our guide, Sarah, was absolutely the best and legend!. She is patient, friendly, and very skilled at teaching beginners. She gave clear instructions on balancing and paddling, and made sure we didn’t take an unexpected dip in the lake! The 2-hour session was totally worth it. We even got to spot some seals 🦭 during our paddle such a beautiful bonus! Highly recommend Venture Out and especially Sarah for anyone wanting to learn paddle-boarding safely and have a great time on the water. A special mention to Sarah’s lovely mum, Lynn, who was part of our learning crew she was so warm and encouraging, truly our little cheerleader on the water. 💙

Thank you Sarah for helping make beautiful family memories that my children will cherish forever. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The pet-friendly brewery features a laid-back atmosphere where patrons can enjoy classic tropical ales, pilsners, and other craft beers.
A brewery with excellent food! We had visited Red Bluff previously for their great brews but this time we swung by for lunch and we are so glad that we did! We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza (requested with no onion) and the Fish Tacos and both dishes were served quickly and were really delicious. The staff (as always) are so friendly and happy to have a chat. Cunninghame Arm Foot Bridge, located in Lakes Entrance, is a stunning 500-meter-long structure that offers breathtaking views of the Gippsland Lakes. The bridge provides an easy way for visitors to explore the area's natural beauty and enjoy panoramic vistas from its elevated vantage point. It serves as the main thoroughfare of the Esplanade, offering access to marinas, foreshore gardens, shops, restaurants, and accommodations.
What a beautiful sunset view from this bridge!!! Nice stroll to Main beach and worth watching Sunset!! Peaceful!!

This bridge allows all people to check on the beach side in Lakes Entrance. If you don't cross the bridge, you can only see the island in front, not the ocean beach. So this bridge is very useful.
Vergílio T — Google review
This bridge is certainly the most direct way to access the beautiful Ninety Mile Beach. For us, it felt more like a functional walkway than a scenic attraction in its own right. It gets you where you need to go, but visitors might consider if the crossing is the destination.
Sai G — Google review
My first time visit to the Cunninghame Arm footbridge and doing the loop walk. It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk through the forest and back over 90 Miles Beach. I did it in 2 hours. Around the bridge are many black swans and I had my lunch watching them. A lovely bridge that connects the Esplanade with this stunning area. The walk is worth it with many beautiful views and historic information. There is also a lovely cafe at the start of this walk.
Rita K — Google review
Crossing the Lakes Entrance footbridge is like embarking on a grand mini-adventure ... minus the need for hiking boots or a life raft. As you step onto this iconic structure, you’ll feel a sudden surge of excitement, as if the beach itself is calling you with promises of golden sands and soft sea breezes. The bridge is a masterpiece of sturdy engineering, proving that unlike the London bridge, there will not be a song about falling down. Whether you're power-walking, ambling, or attempting a dramatic slow-motion run, the footbridge has your back—and your feet. From the center of the span, you’re gifted with postcard-worthy views of boats cruising through the channel on one side and sand dunes gently sloping into the waves on the other. And at sunset? Well, let’s just say you’ll be hard-pressed to resist taking a photo, possibly causing a minor traffic jam as fellow Instagrammers pause mid-bridge for that perfect shot. For those who like to fish, the sides of the bridge are perfect for casting a line. Just be ready to strike up a conversation with a local fisherman who’ll gladly give you tips—whether or not they actually help your fishing skills is another story. In short, the Lakes Entrance footbridge isn’t just a pathway; it’s an experience. Five stars for making the mundane act of crossing water feel like a treasured adventure. Don’t forget to wave at the seagulls; they’re practically part of the welcoming committee.

It is renowned for its natural beauty and offers an array of recreational opportunities. Lakes Entrance itself stands out as one of Australia's most scenic holiday spots.
You probably think Bullock Island is just a fishing boat port but it’s so much more than that. To start with it has an amazing co/op that sells some of the best seafood in town. But for me the best reason to visit is to see the huge number of pelicans up close in the car park and to view The Entrances across the water. Bullock island is also an excellent crabbing spot. Directions: head to the dolphin lookout carpark to see pelicans and the entrance

Bullock island is a great place in lakes entrance with jetties/pier for fishing & crabbing etc. There's a nice beach (just before the newly reconstructed bridge) on the right side while entering the island, which is popular for fishing, jet-skiing, swimming etc. Lakes Entrance is certainly one of the most beautiful, must-visit holiday destinations in Australia. We have visited this place many times and still find it fascinating.

Also known as Reeve Landing or Jetty. Went here for the second time and it has changed a lot from then. They have concrete road and decent car parking now. Although there’s some more development happening I hope that next time we come will be a lot better and have some seats and picnic areas on the grassy part. Anyway, we come here to do crabbing as this is quite popular for this place. Everyone can cast their nets and be surprised to see their catch, mostly sand crabs that you’ll get from this place. Nice to come here during sun set bring your camping chair, relax and watch the sun set! Make sure you bring the legal nets for crabbing and return the small crabs on the water. Mussel collection here will need lic from fisheries apparently.

The Mitchell River is a well-liked fishing destination, with both shore and boat fishing being popular activities. Anglers can enjoy casting their lines at Tambo, Nicholson, and the Mitchell River itself. Additionally, the cliffs near the Swan Reach bridge on the Tambo River and along Metung Road serve as great spots for fishing. The river flows through breathtaking gorges within the Mitchell River National Park before continuing southward into expansive floodplains named after it.

Nicks Thai and Japanese Restaurant in Lakes Entrance, Australia offers a delectable blend of Thai and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is known for its tasty Thai dishes and has recently introduced a selection of Japanese food. Visitors can expect a variety of menu options, including vegetarian choices like the Golden Curry and Tofu Teriyaki Don. Meat lovers can indulge in dishes such as Jungle Curry and Massaman beef curry with tender beef.
Amazing food, excellent value and large servings. We walked next door to get a bottle of wine with glasses and wine cooler from The Servo. We enjoyed prawn laksa (heaps of prawns) chicken satay and salt and pepper squid.

Our waitress was so lovely, friendly and accomodating. Showed a lot of pride in her job ..we might steal her . I hope her career is in hospitality! Food was clean, generous and bloody delicious. Highly rec and def be back!

Absolutely the best Thai food we’ve had in Australia! From the very first bite, we knew we’d be coming back. The chicken wings were addictive, the panang curry rich and aromatic, and the pad Thai perfectly balanced and packed with flavour. Every dish was comforting, delicious, and deeply satisfying. Five stars without hesitation!
Jane L — Google review
Nice looking ambience when you arrive, but it was chaotic as there's no obvious demarcation between dine-in and take-away, and the staff were smashed busy, so I wasn't the only confused person in the queue. There seemed to be one guy in the kitchen directing traffic, which created bottlenecks, and while there were tables in the main area, I was sent to a covered area out the back which lacks the vibe of the dining room. The waitress was unable to immediately answer most questions, but she was new with a positive attitude, so that was fair, we all start out somewhere! What was strange was being able to order food via the waitress, but not drinks. For those, you either use the QR code on the table or go to a window, and I think pay cash (that might have been a misunderstanding on the waitresses part?) I used the QR code and was directed to an ordering website I've not seen before, which is always concerning given the details you're handing over. Anyway, drinks and then food arrived and it was okay. I had the chicken with cashews and veggies, which is my staple at a new Thai place. I also ordered jasmine rice but received coconut rice. If it hadn't been so busy, I'd have asked for the swap, but it wasn't a tragic substitute with my main. That glitch aside, the flavours aren't going to offend, but they didn't take me back to Bangkok, either, hence the three-stars.

We arrived in Lakes Entrance late Friday night and decided to try Nick's Thai. When we arrived the atmosphere was busy, fun and adjoined a bar where we enjoyed a chat with the bar staff whilst waiting for our food. We ordered sizzling Mongolian Beef, Red Duck Curry, Rice and Salt and Pepper Squid. I was beyond disappointed with the Mongolian dish on first inspection as it was 90% vegetable with very little meat that was not sizzling. The Red Duck Curry was nice but contained small morsels of meat, not even 10 pieces. We love Thai food so know what we were supposed to get. We spent approx $30 per dish which is expensive, so we're not happy with the lack of meat. I am not exaggerating and it completely ruined dinner since we paid $124 for not much food. I do not understand how you can serve that at the price point offered. Food was nice but lost its appeal with the lack of meat.

The bistro caters to families as well with kid-friendly meals available.
Good pub food, friendly The ambiance of the establishment was notably welcoming. The service provided by the staff was exceptionally amicable. The menu offered a delightful array of classic dishes. The speed at which the food arrived was truly impressive. Overall, the experience was quite pleasant and enjoyable.

Standard pub fare here, if you just want something simple, that is okay and not expensive, then this is a place for you. The menu is limited, but standard Aussie fair such as Parma’s, Chicken schnitzels that type of thing is available. There are vegetarian options for those who need that. The staff were really lovely and the drinks are reasonably priced. Clean and tidy and a nice environment to eat in. Access for those in a wheelchair is not a problem.

Great complex. Bar staff were bright, cheerful & friendly. Meal was so quick being served it almost arrived before I ordered it ... which is not always a good thing when you order the roast of the day. Clearly reheated in a microwave evidenced by the fact the crispy roast potatoes as advertised were far from it & the lamb was slightly tough BUT the gravy was divine & there was plenty of it so I left happy
Rossco B — Google review
Disappointing to say the least. Firstly just want to say that the bar staff and service staff were fantastic but on this occasion were let down by incompetence in the kitchen. Both ordered the grilled fish. Both not cooked. Raw in centre. Meals were replaced and quite frankly whilst cooked OK the second time the meal was not well presented and way overpriced compared to similar dishes we have ordered in our travels.
Greg B — Google review
Good size meals in particular the porterhouse steak was nicely cooked. Chips were ok some were cold. Be careful when ordering chips and veg as you will get charged more which is fine however the portions are big. Definitely worth a visit as always is busy.

Great food and service. All the staff have a smile on their face and were happy to help in any way. Highly recommend this place for a meal, especially with a family.
Karina T — Google review
The food was inferior. Great salad and chips but don’t get the Friday special. The staff member who dealt with our complaint was rude, bordering nasty. We paid extra for the “non-special” to be cooked instead, so we could eat it. In hindsight we should have insisted on a refund and eaten elsewhere. While waiting for my (replacement) meal to be cooked I watched the staff member stand over an older lady telling her that the “chef said there’s nothing wrong with it!” and insisting she try her meal while he stood over and watched her. So intimidating. It put such a damper on our day, we regularly choose a different lunch venue in Lakes Entrance and so far have never been disappointed, nor treated badly and we only have a finite number from which to choose so we go multiple times to each. Don’t worry LEBC I won’t be back. If that’s how you treat people who live in your town and who know that they’re being fed inferior food disguised as a “special” why would anyone go there for a meal? You can do so much better.
Helen J — Google review
The staff were lovely. Not your ordinary menu. I was surprised when I ordered the scallop and chorizo risotto. It tastes every bit as good as it looks. I hope they keep this on the menu permanently. They also have breakfast pancakes and the coffee is excellent, it even comes in those fashionable cups that gourmet cafes use.

BLOODY GOOD COFFEE is a charming spot with a delightful vibe and friendly staff. The menu offers a variety of tempting treats to complement the hot drinks, which live up to their name. While the breakfast options are simple yet tasty, the food overall is fabulous. Despite some minor hiccups like delayed opening hours and slightly under-toasted bread, the service remains fantastic even during busy times.
Busy, popular little spot on the main road. Small space can be a bit noisy but didn't particularly bother us. Breakfast stop off on our journey north from Bairnsdale. The coffee was hot and food hit the spot. Definitely worth a visit.

Down the main road, we were looking for breakfast on a Sunday morning. This place seemed busy, so I gave it a try. Firstly the staff are so friendly and respectful and a real positive to the overallexperience. We had the bacon and egg sandwich, and it was delicious plenty of bacon. I wanted a second one. The coffee was just ok for me. I ordered a latte, and it was really milky. The beans used are good, but the coffee didn't stand up to the name of the place. It's not a deal breaker for me. I would go back for the food but would try coffee elsewhere first.
Peter A — Google review
The staff were very accommodating! My wife had a soy cappuccino, and I had a soy chai latte — we both really enjoyed them. We also loved the warm banana muffin!

This café is a real gem in Lakes Entrance! I was immediately impressed by the super friendly team and the delicious, affordable food options. I ended up eating here two days running—the coffee is consistently good. While the order taking and payment process is a touch slow (due to what looks like an older till system and manual order writing), the overall experience is lovely and well worth the wait. A great bonus: they happily accept Amex.
Taylor B — Google review
Food was very good, only downside was the turkish bread could have been toasted a little longer, so it did not go soggy. Banana smoothie and spiced chai were excellent. Service was fantastic, friendly, pleasant, and very helpful, even though they were extremely busy on this Easter Saturday. Would definitely come back.
Axeman's A — Google review
Felt scammed on the 7th September - unless the menu is deceiving and requires an update. A toast advertised with 4 standard fillings is advertised for $10.5 x 3 people. The staff asked for $15+ x 3 people approximately on father day. When trying to discuss they advised that any filling including the standard ones are extras. This is not what is in the menu. And i ordered the same 5 days ago and was charged $10 per toast 5 days ago. I can expect a 10-20% surcharge on father day, but not 50%. I have been to bloody good coffee for a couple of years- and i felt it was great food, nice people and staff. But, something is not right there. Recommend to change the menu to clearly and explain how you charge your customers - unless, i was scammed on this day. i do not think i will come back unfortunately. If customers know what they will have to pay and matches the menu - more or less - this place can be 5 stars. Not sure what is happening there.

I came here at the beginning of 2023 and loved this cute shop. But I came back now in October because it has such a nice vibe. The coffee lives up to the name and the food is fabulous. I wish I could go here everyday. The staff here are very friendly and have a kind atmosphere about them. Such a yummy variety of food to choose from and it did not disappoint. It reminds me of my family coffee bookshop in New Norfolk in Tassie. Hope to come back soon.

Opening hours should perhaps be adjusted to allow staff to set up. Either that or please wake up earlier & get in earlier to set up. Had to wait past the opening hours stated, for this reason. Breakfast is simple but tasty. It was nice to have traditional basic pancakes with a ball of ice cream that had a beautiful vanilla flavour with maple syrup. A nice change from the over the top pancakes in Melbourne. The toastie was cut in little triangles. Cute.

Footbridge Fish & Chips is a popular dining spot known for its delicious offerings and welcoming service. The Kalimna Hotel offers a seafood-focused menu with various options to choose from. Despite some mixed experiences with the staff, the food receives high praise, particularly for its crunchy chips, great batter on battered sausage, and gluten-free options cooked in a separate fryer. Amazing fish and chips . The fish was really fresh which is a must 🥹. Also the stuff was really nice , I asked if they can put only chicken salt on my chips and he did it with care , not to over salt my chips 🙌. And the price was really fair

Ordered online and picked up 10 mins later. Fantastic! Chips and gravy were great on a cold windy day. Calamari was fresh and battered in the shop. Potato cakes or scallops if you're from the north were top notch too. I will be back soon

Fish is rubbery. Chips were burnt. Calamares taste disgusting. Such a shame for a fish and chips shop in a beautiful tourist town next to the water.

Good fish n chips at the time in lakes entrance. Fish in general is usually feshish and very good but can have a 'gnarly' taste sometimes. The best one is currently closed. Beware the dimmy's are commercial ones, not home made at all. The sandwich shop across the road sells the same ones! Service can be a bit gruff sometimes.

The RV park in Lakes Entrance is pleasantly peaceful, making it a welcomed retreat. It conveniently sits within walking distance of the town center, assuming one is reasonably fit. Although the 3-kilometer trek to and from the footbridge may pose a challenge, particularly when ascending the hill, those in their early 60s can handle it fine. The facilities are clean but outdated, with compact shower cubicles. Lakes Entrance itself is a charming destination boasting numerous dining options and diverse shops.
We were there two weeks ago. We called on a Sunday, just five minutes before the office closed, to book a space for our van, and the owner warmly welcomed us. She checked us in with a smile, despite the late hour, and was incredibly kind. The campsite was very well-equipped and clean. Honestly, I think it was the best camping experience I've ever had. Whether it’s the cleanliness of the place or the friendliness of the staff, I highly recommend it! We will definitely return with pleasure! Signed, The Laughing Girl

I am a seasoned camper and I this is one of the best holiday park especially for camping. Positive: - only 7 powered sites so won't be over crowded. - reasonable rates - not demanding for minimum stay for long weekend - Bathroom and toilets are renovated and very nice - At front reception we had Chantelle who was very friendly with a smiling face. Room for improvement - camp kitchen needs to be renovated and updated. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. It's very quiet and peaceful

This is a fantastic holiday park for families. Kid-friendly, pet-friendly sites with beautiful lush grass to camp on. The grounds are kept immaculately- not a stone out of place. Nice, quiet, safe location at the back of town. Facilities are functional and spotless. Convenient kids playground at the entrance of the park for the kids to use. Pool was clean and a nice temp. Bathrooms were locked with access codes and keys for privacy, which is fantastic. Karen and Sarah were so lovely and particularly gracious with us (losing our access keys and our dog deciding to poop everywhere). Clothes lines were easy to access and huge, plenty of room for everyone’s laundry. We will absolutely be back to visit this park. The only meek suggestion we would make is perhaps a few more things to do in the games room, as it is just a pool table in the games shed presently. Even a box of kids toys, some kids books, some balls/bats or a small ping-pong table would be fabulous. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Moriah — Google review
Very disappointed with the service and management at Hampshire Holiday Park. We have been trying to get an answer to a simple question for over two months with no response. There is no phone number available, and getting in touch with anyone is nearly impossible. You call yourselves a "family park," yet the way you treat your tenants is far from family-friendly. The behaviour from management has been unprofessional, with price increases issued with just one day's notice — completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication and unfair treatment, I have no choice but to take legal action. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this park to anyone.

Big Bears Donuts is a local favorite for handmade fresh doughnuts and aromatic coffee. Ewans nickname, Big Bear, reflects the store's focus on making tasty treats that are big and delicious.
We came twice to test out a couple of donuts. We were pleasantly surprised and loved all of them. My first was the peppermint crisp and my second visit, I tasted the lamington one. I can't remember the ones my wife bought. Our coffees on our second visit were great. Their service was great. Unfortunately we forgot to past this morning to try another one before we left the Lakes. If this place was in Melbourne, it would put Daniels donuts out of business. You can't compare them. Well done team.

So glad this local for us. Fabulous service and staff. Coffee is delicious. And the donuts, well there’s too many favourites to list them all. But vanilla slice and beesting are at the top of the list. Not to mention all the fundraising that’s done for specific events. Well done Big Bears 👌🏼🫶🏼🍩

Tried Big Bear Donuts at the Donut Festival in Queen Vic Market and I’m still dreaming about them! I had the Pistachio and Lemon Curd—both were absolute standouts. The pistachio was nutty, smooth, and perfectly balanced, while the lemon curd had just the right amount of tang to keep you coming back for more. Soft, fluffy dough and flavours that really hit. Safe to say, these donuts live rent-free in my head. Can’t wait to have them again!

Amazing donuts by the lakeside! Great tasting donuts that has wide variety of flavour from basic glaze, bee sting, to fancy rhubarb, key lime and many more! soft dough with filling that's not too overly sweet. Perfect pair for a coffee in the morning walk or afternoon snacks. Must try when visiting lakes entrance. They also have donut trucks around during gippsland local events or Sunday markets.

Tried these at the Melbourne Donut Festival 2025. We bought Beesting, fresh strawberry, pistachio and ferrero rocher. We compared them to some of the other vendors donuts and Big Bears Donuts were top 3. Great service too, thank you ❤️.

Unfortunately I also fell for the FOMO curse on this occasion. Joined the long queue at the donut festival, to the team's credit they worked hard and kept it moving at a good pace. I was really hoping the product would rise to the occasion of the demand, however the quality was really poor. Heavy dough, flavourless fillings and toppings. It's a pass from me, hopefully they can improve it moving forward.

The Servo Lakes Entrance is a family-friendly pub with an expansive outdoor space offering light meals and live music. It's a perfect stop for lunch, known for its delicious pork ribs and friendly staff. Visitors praise the great service and accommodating bartenders, making it an enjoyable place to relax with drinks and watch the world go by. The venue is also dog-friendly, adding to its appeal as a welcoming spot for families.
Friendly bar staff, quite a selection of beers on tap along with cocktails and other fizzy alcoholic drinks. As it was raining, there wasn't too many seats indoors. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. The buttermilk fried chicken and chorizo was good, the mac &cheese is over priced and bland.

Last lunch of our trip. Great place to spend a few hours and people watch. Food is great and is served from a portable kitchen on site. Bar is a converted garage. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would recommend for lunch break.

Stopped by The Servo Lakes for a drink — such a great spot! The atmosphere was awesome, and we really enjoyed our time there.
Tilly P — Google review
After doing the walk over to Lakes Entrance, this was the perfect spot to stop for lunch. The pork ribs were so delicious with the most meat I’ve ever seen on a pork rib! The service is great too with really friendly staff and to top it off, it’s dog friendly. If you’re looking for somewhere to stop for a bite and a drink, this is the place to be. 😊
Debbie F — Google review
Food is a bit ordinary. Lots of stodge The beef burger apparently does not come with any sort of salad, not even onion (even though it's on the menu too add) to break up the sloppy . Great music, very well organised and a very good space for drinks however.

I absolutely love this place! Great place to take the whole family. Food was delicious 😋 Friendly staff and clean facilities. Highly recommended 👌

This place is great, but the guys that work here make it the best! Dead set legends! So accommodating and the best drinks and music! Pulled pork burger and fish n chips were great! Thanks for a great weekend & for being awesome! Look forward to coming back next time! Rocky & Everest loved it also! Thanks for having us!

Good atmosphere for a beer and bite. The beef brisket and pulled pork were missing smoked flavours. Best ones were the sausages 👍

Dog park
Brackenbush Unleashed is a hidden treasure of a dog park, offering solitude for dogs on sunny days. It's a well-designed and enclosed space for canines and their owners to enjoy together. The park has clean restroom facilities and even provides a separate area for anxious pups. However, one drawback to be aware of is the unclean water in the plastic bowls scattered throughout the park. Visitors should exercise caution and be prepared to replace it with fresh water if necessary.
A beautiful off leash fully fenced dog park. A beautiful country drive from Lakes Entrance. You can enjoy the scenery on the way while going to the THE BEST DOG PARK ever. Your dog is going to love it. 3 separate areas including an area for nervous dogs. There also toilets and a place to pop your dog securely while you go. A lovely place to picnic as well. The park is privately run so please donate if you can.
A W — Google review
This is such a great dog park we come here nearly every day. Three fully fenced areas so your dog will be safe, and you can choose whether to mix with the other dogs. Massive areas to run for dogs of all sizes.
Bryan W — Google review
Well and truly the most amazing dog park we've ever been to. So well looked after with so much space for doggo to roam! We particularly liked that there was a medium sized area for nervous/new dogs to go into and interact with other dogs through the fence at their own leisure! But we did eventually explore the larger areas and they were just perfect for our dog to roam and make new friends. The added bonus of toilets and utilities there were a nice touch. Lakes entrance is easily the most dog friendly place we've ever been to
Calvin — Google review
I have never seen a dog park like this. It is on private property and the owners just wanted a great space to bring your dog. It’s a bit tricky to get to, but absolutely worth the drive. There are 3 separate areas, one of which caters for nervous dogs. All 3 areas are huge and the park is on a beautiful bush setting. Highly recommend.
L K — Google review
One of the cleanest & well maintained dog parks we've visited in Melbourne. Not to mention a gorgeous drive through the forest to reach the large fenced dog park. We met the owner who runs this facility and is privately funded. So please consider donating if you're visiting. Milly had the best time with her doggy friends Meelo & Sally. 🐶🐶🐶
Vanie N — Google review
What a beautiful dog park! There’s three different areas for all types of pups to play! We drove out of our way to come experience this on our drive home from a holiday, and our puppy absolutely loved it. Sadly her humans did not love it! As my daughter got chewed out by the owner who drove over to us to tell us we had parked in the wrong spot, even though my daughter was apologetic, explaining that she had misunderstood, and ready to move the car. My daughter was told she was “gobsmacked” and “baffled” by her decision to park next to the disabled section. This woman was so sarcastic, snappy and rude that I felt the need to jump in because she wasn’t accepting her apology at all, she just wanted to keep going. She continued with me as I went to move the car, and it totally ruined the experience when it could have been so simply handled in a respectful, professional and kind manner. It’s a big shame, as it’s such a beautiful community asset, but we won’t be back.
Tes — Google review
Oh my, what a hidden gem! Our dog was lucky enough to have the entire park all to himself on a beautiful sunny day. Brackenbush Unleashed is a well thought out and fully fenced dog park for canines and their people to enjoy! There are toilet facilities which were in clean condition and a separate and sizeable area for nervous nelly doggos. The only thing that detracted from our experience (and a warning to all pawrents visiting) is that the water in the big plastic bowls around the park was quite dirty and we had to dump out and replenish the water as we went. Our bubba was too quick to drink out of one of them and became very sick after :( Make sure to make your donation to Larry the dog at the park entrance!
Samantha T — Google review
Fantastic dog park. Multiple different fenced off enclosures where your dog's can run around and burn off some energy. My dogs rarely leave my side but as soon as they were off leash in the park, they were off having a heap of fun. I would suggest applying some of the insect repellent supplied by the owners as there is no shortage of flying insects out there. Fully worth the drive. Can't wait to head back

A very friendly welcome by Sandi as we arrived with our two small dogs. The cabin was good for us - maybe a bit small if you have big dogs. Very clean and comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. We were nice and warm despite the cold nights.Easy walk into town. Good pet friendly place to stay.

What a fantastic stay we had here for 5nights. Daryl and Sandra were just amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We had some issues with our awning and Daryl was quick to come out and help us. Always checking in when he was walking around to make sure we were ok. Location is perfect so close to town and Sandra gave us lots of great recommendation's for eating and walks. Can’t wait to return there. Thank you Daryl and Sandra for sharing your beautifully kept park and looking after us😊😊

We stayed in one of the cabins with our 2 border Collies and had an exceptional relaxing 4 night stay. The owners were very friendly and waited a bit after office closing time as we were delayed. It's great to be able to have pet friendly accommodation allowing dogs inside at no extra cost. Owners provide water/food bowls in cabin. The cabin is smallish as we are used to hotels, but hay, it's a caravan park so was expecting caravan sized accommodation. Facilities within cabin were very good, good hot water and bed supper comfy. The park is very quiet throughout the night. We didn't hear any noise from the primary school other than the school bells. The child careccentre is next door and there's a bit of play noise and the odd child having a tantrum. I don't particularly like noise from kids but never found the noise to be annoying as it's somewhat baffled by the fence amd is not loud anyway. I'm not sure how others can complain about the noise, especially when it's only during the day. Certainly not a deterrent for us not coming again. There's an ev charging station but only rated at 3.2kW and not always readily accessible as in one of the cabin car spots. We weren't in that cabin.

This camp is suited for pets and adults as the name says. We don't have pets. We stayed 3 weeks so got a discount. Services are rustic. Clean and tidy. Card washing machine. Others comment on child care center. Barely noticed it was there. Some sites for larger vans. Surface is level but undulating so you will need chocks.. will stay again no worries

If you’re heading to Lakes Entrance, especially with pets, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Everyone is super lovely, welcoming and helpful. Everything is within walking distance! The facilities are always kept very clean—I went up during the Easter holidays and had no issues at all. I’ve been to many caravan parks around Australia with my fur child, and this is definitely one of my top picks especially in Victoria. It’s pet-friendly all year round, which is amazing, especially during the holiday season. 100% will be booking again!

This was our first time holidaying with our dog Lexi. We stayed in the Retro Cabin for 3 nights and found it very clean and well appointed for us all (pet included). The park is well situated, within walking distance to the main street and beach. Sandy was very helpful at check in, showing us around the cabin, and even had the heating going to take the chill off. A lovely situated and clean park for all to enjoy. Will happily go back if in Lakes Entrance again.
Heike — Google review
This park was excellent! We had a powered site for our caravan on a very large, grassed and level ground. Staying only one night on our way home, it was great that we did not have to unhitch! The toilets were very clean, soap, paper towels provided and sinks very modern. If you have a dog, there's even a doggy wash available and a doggy day care!!! What an amazing servive! It was really great to spend the night there and we will definitely be back! Sorry for the earlier mix-up 😞

Arrived back yesterday afternoon after spending 6 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin. Extremely clean with all the necessary items provided. Very close to the town centre where daily walks with our Cavoodle Archie was a highlight. Very large and spacious property with well maintained gardens and lawns. We spent 1 hour tour with my child and puppy, really enjoyed it, we got to see many different species of birds, seals on the rocks, National park along the beautiful lakes. Such a gem! Skipper was friendly and informative. He cares about animals here. He even wrote down an injured seal when he came across to report to the scientists, he also counts the amount of seals once a week for them. Last but not least, both my child and puppy have motion sickness, however they were totally fine on the boat! They had a lot of fun! It exceeded my expectations, a must do at Lakes Entrance.

What a wonderful day trip. Other boat trips in the area were a bit too long for our 3 year old so this was ideal. Skipper Pete was fantastic and was so informative and knowledgeable. Will definitely do again and have already told others about using this service.

Our little family had a wonderful time doing a 1 hour tour with Skipper Pete today. We really enjoyed listening to him share his knowledge of the area and of the wildlife. Our boat trip with Skipper Pete was the best thing we did in Lakes Entrance! Perfect for a small family, we took our almost 2yo and it was entertaining enough to keep him still for over an hour and really interesting for us adults. We saw dolphins, lots of birds and learnt a lot about the area from Skipper Pete. Excellent value, and an experience we would recommend to everyone!

Was staying in Lakes Entrance for the Australia Day long weekend and stumbled across the Slipway Sheds while walking along the esplanade. What an awesome little setup with Sailor's Grave, Gippsland Jersey & Miriam's Restaurant offering food and drink. Sailor's Grave had 6 tap beers available which were really good beers plus wine by Lightfoot & Sons. There was a great selection of seafood to choose from at Miriam's, especially the local prawns, Merimbula Oysters and mussels. Nyerimilang Heritage Park has been a 179-hectare park since 1984, showcasing a homestead from the 19th century with exhibits, trails, and picnic areas. The site is managed by friendly local volunteers who welcome visitors without any entry fees. The park offers an opportunity for family picnics, weddings, and gatherings while also providing a souvenir shop to support the volunteers' efforts.
Wonderful place to visit. It's like stepping back in time. Everything is beautifully preserved, from the old house to the books and pianos inside. Lots of history to discover, a walking track, lookout, and friendly wildlife such as magpies and butterflies. There are plenty of toilets, which are very clean. The staff are also very friendly and have a gift shop, with good prices and lovely handmade items. It is free to enter as well.

Nyerimilang is a surprisingly beautiful spot with various walks, spectacular views of the Gippsland Lakes, v helpful women at the entry point/gift shop, wonderful buildings, glorious old trees & vegetation. You’d need at least a whole day to really explore all of the Park

Worth a visit! There were two volunteer elders who were very accommodating, kindly showing us a printed map and explaining where to go. The place itself is a heritage site, and it’s amazing to see how the old house has been preserved. You can view old photos, antique items, and even a piano (which needs tuning, but my son was eager to try it anyway). Big thanks to the people who continue to look after this place so future generations can also appreciate it. The surroundings are peaceful and calming, with beautiful nature views, including the lookout and the lake. Highly recommended for families who enjoy parks and historical places!

Wow what a stunning parkland with magnificent views over the lakes!!! It was my first visit at the Nyerimilang Heritage Homestead and Park. I was welcomed at the visitors centre with a map and shown where to start. The incredible smell of eucalyptus and the lovely trails are breathtaking. I love the loop trails, stops at the farmhouse, look outside with information and the walk through the homestead is like stepping back in time. What a gem of a place to have within reach, look forward to the opera concert in 2026! 💚
