The Funky Monkey restaurant in Hampi offers basic cottages ideal for a three-day stay. The restaurant provides a perfect view of the river, with floor seating and hot masala chai to start your mornings. It's a laid-back environment popular among travelers seeking relaxation, smoothies, and hearty vegetarian dishes like their famous banana pancakes. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Visitors praise the delicious freshly made food and the helpfulness of the family running the place.
This is THE restaurant to eat at in Hampi. Gorgeous river views, lovely chill out areas and great food. Pizza and handmade momos were lovely, perfect pancakes and great coffee! All the essentials for any traveller. They do lots of things just right like not adding sugar to drinks unless asked and washing food in mineral water. Owner was great to chat with about the plastic pollution issue of India and is doing his bit to make a difference. Highly recommend. This is a new location for the restaurant and I hope it gets busier and busier...they deserve the business! Thanks from our family of four!

Rooms: The room was decent and well lit. Most important of all, it was super clean, especially the washroom. And yes, it had the needed space. The restaurant: They have a BEAUTIFUL roofside restaurant where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the river Tungabhadra. We spent almost half of the time there. The sunsets are a must watch!! Food: They do have many things on the menu. Most of them are tasty and delicious: Don't miss their Indian breakfast (Paratha, Chai and curd). We also tried Lasagne, which was yum as well! Paneer tikka masala could have been better though! The host: THE BEST!!!!! The host Siva is quite helpful with everything: be it tourist sites, bikes, cycles, buses, etc. He has a beautiful family who just seem to be making you feel home. They have a sweet little daughter who I'm lucky to have made friends with. 🧡 I'd definitely recommend and would love to visit again!!!

Funky Monkey in Hampi was such a gem! The place was super clean, and the food was just amazing. The owners are the sweetest—they treated us like family and went out of their way to make our visit special. They’re also local guides, so they gave us awesome tips on what to see in Hampi and what to skip. They even hooked us up with reliable local autos to avoid getting overcharged on weekends. When we were stuck figuring out how to get to Badami, they laid out all the options and arranged a fairly priced cab when nothing else was available. Honestly, their hospitality made our trip so much better. If you’re in Hampi, you’ve gotta check out Funky Monkey!

Fantastic setting. Stunning views. Lots of space to chill out and lounge about. Great varied menu and fine coffee. Staff really friendly and take care of all your needs. Sadly need to move on. I'll miss this place.

wouldn’t recommend if you’re in a jiffy and want to get around to different places in hampi. they literally took 1 hour 15 mins to deliver our order (party of three). in fact our order was basic indian food, not even complicated or any other cuisine. we even noticed them deliver different customers who came later than us. completely annoyed us and threw our plan off for the entire day. the taste of the food was okay though. they have a clean washroom as well.
Anjana W — Google review
We visited this place on our way to Virupaksha temple. We were hoping for a quick meal. While we were warned that our meals would take 20 mins to prepare, it actually took 1 hr and 15 mins for it to be prepared. It derailed our plans and by the end of it we were begging for our meals. Every time we d check up on the status, they ll dismiss us saying it will be ready in 5 mins. They were least bothered. No professionalism at all.
Renjith W — Google review
Located right in the shore of Thungabatra river with an amazing view - river on your right, Veerapakshi temple on your left. Peaceful and less crowded. All their items are flavourful and perfectly cooked as per your instructions.
Jenishly T — Google review
The rooms were nice and spotless, and the best part is that the property sits right beside the Tungabhadra River. The morning view from the rooftop is absolutely mesmerizing. Siva was extremely helpful—he even connected me with a local auto bhaiya who doubled as a tour guide, making my trip so much easier. Siva and his family were warm, welcoming, and truly made me feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hampi!

Sagar Hotel in Hampi is a delightful culinary gem situated along the main road, just a short distance from the Virupaksha temple. This charming eatery, run by three talented women in their home, offers an extensive menu that caters to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. While their chicken dishes are particularly noteworthy, the breakfast options truly steal the show.
Visited Nov 2024. One of the best south Indian breakfasts I've had. Tasty. Great service. Will def visit again on my next trip to Hampi. Vada + Masala Dosa + tea cost me Rs 110. Pics attached. EDIT : On my second visit to hampi had Puddu. Incredible. I might visit Hampi again only to eat Puddu at Sagar. Don't need to say anything more, right? Pics attached.

We were on our way to another hotel for breakfast, but it was closed. A couple of locals saw our faces of disappointment, and - after a quick glance to each other, as if they were unsure about sharing a long-kept secret - they pointed towards Segar Hotel Hampi. And my oh my, what a treat this was! It was packed with locals (a good sign) with smiles on their faces while eating (a great sign). So we sat and got two our favorite things: idli and paddu… and they did not disappoint - they were delicious! So much so that I learned how to say “delicious” in Kannada, just to make sure the wonderful ladies who manage and operate this place could understand me. Oh, yea, that’s another perk: this place is operated and managed by 4 lovely Indian ladies. 5 stars across the board!
Roberto B — Google review
This place is entirely run by three women who treated us with a warm, motherly touch. The food was homely and delicious— I felt it was better than ‘Taste of Brahmins’ next door. I highly recommend it for a flavourful, local-style breakfast.
Amit M — Google review
Sagar Hotel was an absolute delight! We tried almost all their dishes over three days, and every single one was super delicious. It became our go-to breakfast spot during our Hampi trip — we would ride down every morning from Virupapur Gaddi just to eat here, and it was worth it every time. Amaa… what an experience! We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Ganga Devi ji and her daughter Begum, which made our visits even more memorable. Sagar Hotel truly added a homely and authentic touch to our Hampi mornings. Highly recommended!
Akshay B — Google review
Clean and welcoming ambience, rapid service with smiling faces, converse in English and very homely and tasty food! Chutney was a hit! Limited options yet tasty and healthy ones. O not to forget the economical pricing of it! Must visit when in Hampi.
Sri P — Google review
What a brilliant find, lovely crispy vadas and hot idlis with spicy chutney is what we had here. The famous Taste of Brahmins was overcrowded so we sat here for bfast. It is just next to it. The food was delicious, and hot, and Sagar kept refilling our chutneys without us saying anything. Cost is also reasonable. We absolutely loved it. I think you should skip the famous bfast places in Hampi and eat here, you won't be disappointed.

Breakfast restaurant
Taste of Brahmins, located near the Virupaksha temple in Hampi, is a family-run restaurant that has been serving authentic South Indian breakfast for 30 years. The menu features classic items like dosa, idlis, and sambar. The rustic ambiance of the restaurant complements the historical charm of Hampi. In addition to vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, they also offer prasadam to customers. Their delicious thali is highly recommended.
They serves freshly made very delicious South-Indian breakfast items at very reasonable rates. All the dishes we've tried here were very very tasty. Especially the Appams. The quality was also excellent. All the family members together running this small restaurant at their home only. So it feels a home-like ambiance. All the staff serves the food with love, politeness. Overall experience was very good.
Shwetali A — Google review
An unmissable breakfast place at Hampi bazaar street on the right side of Virupaksha temple gopuram. They serve freshly made authentic South Indian breakfast. Everything is tasty but masala dosa and appe/paddu are must haves with filter coffee. The people running this place are very sweet and treat customers respectfully. Overall a 10/10 place to go for authentic South Indian breakfast. It gets closed by noon for rest of the day.

Taste of Brahmins serves really tasty, homely food at very affordable rates. Located right behind Virupaksha Temple, it’s perfect for a quick, satisfying breakfast after exploring. Simple, fresh, and comforting food highly recommend!

This spot is GOATED and we even repeated this spot. Had Masala Dosa, Ghee Masala Dosa, Idli, Onion Uthappam and Paddu (Appe), Tea and Coffee and everything was good. You can go there and order any of the above items blindly and you won't be disappointed.
Srivathsan — Google review
We enjoyed an authentic Brahmin-style breakfast here, trying the appam and uttapam—both were really great. This place only opens for breakfast, making it a perfect morning stop. Definitely a must-visit for a traditional and flavorful start to the day!
Just K — Google review
Me and my brother were recommended by our guide Kitty to this gem of a place. It is a hole in the wall experience but the food and staff were great. It felt like eating at home and the taste reminded me of eating at my grandparents house. The place is run by couple of brothers and their parents. We went back to this place for all of the 3 days we were in Hampi. If you don’t care about a fancy ambience but like simple good breakfast this is the place. The location is to the right of the temple in the small lane.

The idly here was simply superb. honestly one of the best I’ve ever had! It just melts in your mouth like water. Not just the idly, but the appe and dosa are also top-notch. A must-visit place in Hampi for authentic taste and quality. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Hampi – you shouldn’t miss this experience!

Nestled in the heart of Hampi, Gopi Guesthouse and Roof Restaurant is a delightful haven for travelers seeking both comfort and culinary delights. This charming guesthouse boasts a rooftop restaurant that offers stunning views of the river while serving an array of delectable dishes. Renowned for its Indian cuisine, particularly its special thalis, Gopi Guesthouse also caters to diverse palates with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options as well as Chinese fare.
I had a great time at Gopi Guest House. Manju and Naresh organized my pick-up from Hospete as well as the booking of the night bus and drop-off to the bus stand to go to my next destination. Everybody from the family was so nice and always ready to help. My room was spacious, clean and equipped with everything needed, the bed was comfortable. The location is amazing, within a 2-3 min walk you reach virupaksha temple. For a tour of Hampi, I recommend Viru as a guide. I loved the food at the rooftop restaurant. Every dish I ordered was delicious, my favourite was the thali!
Lena B — Google review
The rooms were clean, cozy and old school. We took the non AC rooms. It matched the vibe of the town, and the location is great as it is very close to Virupaksha temple. The restaurant has good ambience and the service is also good. The price for the food is general tourist locality prices, and the quantity and taste is also good. There is a boy called Ganesh who works there and has great and positive energy! Only suggestion is that they could have provided clean towels and complimentary water bottles along with the rooms.
Bharathi N — Google review
Dropped by this small, hippie-style café with those quirky crab tables and cozy corners. The place has a nice vibe, relaxed and artsy, and the chai we ordered was genuinely good. But yeah, the prices felt a bit over the top for what it is. A nice spot to check out once, but definitely on the expensive side.
Manish S — Google review
Very nice place right in the middle of Ancient Hampi- a view of the temples from the rooftop and a few cheeky monkeys looking to grab food. Service was very good- Ganesh the young lad was a great waiter and the owners and drivers they organised were all really friendly and kind. Super nice people and very helpful, would recommend anyone who is planning to visit Hampi.

Best and perfect hotel to expire south Hampi. 2 min walk from vishwaroopam temple. During 3 days stay Caretaker and support staff treat us very friendly, Both are Loyal and helpful nature. they arrange auto for Hospate station pickup and explore Hampi. Due to heritage location Room having basic amenities but they are clean and safe. Breakfast, lunch/ dinner having verious options, taste also good 😊 value for money. Especially try Banana flower curry ( केळफूल). Excellent Hospitality 😊👍👍

I recently stayed at Gopi Home Stay and had my meals at Gopi Restaurant, and honestly, it felt like being at home. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the people there were super warm and welcoming especially Amma & Manju 🤗. But the best part? Amma’s Traditional Thali! It was absolutely delicious the kind of food that reminds you of maa ke haath ka khaana. 😘
Brand R — Google review
We lodged here for 3 nights. Room given to us felt congested for the price we paid. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Virupaksha is just a stone's throw away. Their roof top seating offers a splendid 360 degree view of the surrounding, even as far as Anjanedri, needless to say the view of the meandering Tungabhadra is astounding. I however regret to say that I left an article during checkout and the staff was not very cooperative in helping me trace the article. So word of caution is be extremely careful during check out as anything left behind may not be retrieved.
Gourang A — Google review
Lovely people and great food :) what surprised us positively, was that there is also a great communal area in the shade, with chill low couches. The pick up & drop from Hospet, with rickshaw, was super convenient. Staying in Hampi - a small authentic village - was also a lovely experience while the guesthouse was the best hang out we could wish for

It's a cozy place where locals and tourists alike can enjoy delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.
“Old Chill Out Ganesh Restaurant is a perfect spot to relax in Hampi! The vibe is super laid-back with cozy seating and chill music. The food is tasty — especially the pancakes and Israeli dishes. Great place to hang out with friends, enjoy fresh food, and take a break from exploring the ruins. Highly recommend!”

We had our Sunday breakfast here. Its a good place with Hippie vibe. The food was good and they happily customized it too. We had a good time just chilling and enjoying our breakfast. You will have to walk down to the place as vehicles are not allowed. We had English breakfast with ginger lemon honey along with some pancakes.

In the last day in Hampi, I was checked out and no place to go, so Dada from Megha Guesthouse and Dada from souvenir shop advice me to sit here. I ordered Baked potato, Tropical juice smoothie, and Carbonara pasta. They are all delicious and served in big plate so I can't finish them 😅 Also, if you have no place to go, you can sit here in this restaurant as long as you want.

There are two Chillout restaurants almost next door to each other Chillout Bamboo Rooftop Restaurant and Old Ganesh Chillout Restaurant. We went to both and this review is for the old Ganesh one at street level - we only went once for dinner. The food was ok, the service was a bit average to be fair, lots on the menu they didn’t have. The vibe was ok but not as comfortable, relaxing or as clean as the restaurant upstairs.
Susan L — Google review
I had a wonderful experience with the food, especially the South Indian thali and the special thali. A special mention goes to the jeera rice — it was absolutely delicious. The highlight was the excellent service, particularly from the lady who served us with great patience. The ambience is simple, but considering the budget-friendly prices, it’s definitely worth it.

Ganesh Old Chillout in Hampi is a gem! This cozy rooftop spot in Hampi Bazaar offers tasty vegetarian dishes—think creamy porridge, falafel, and hearty thalis—with stunning river or banana grove views. Affordable (₹200-400), chill vibes, and friendly service make it perfect for unwinding. Service can be slow considering shortage of staff but it's worth the wait.Grab a cushion, enjoy the music, and don’t miss the sunset! Open 7 AM-10:30 PM; book for peak times.

We had a disappointing experience with the food. We ordered Mushroom Masala and Paneer along with Chapathi, but the taste was not up to the mark. However, the ambience was pleasant — a good place to sit, relax, and enjoy some music. Would recommend for the atmosphere, but not for the food.

Hey there!! If you are looking for an honest review, here you are. First off all, they have both kinds of services. Firstly, they do have homestay, which is good, but according to the price, it's super expensive because it contains less space; hardly two people can move at a time, and it's double bad, but they also have an extra mattress, but it smells very bad, as if they are dumb or they haven't washed it in a long time. The washroom was clean and spacious, no doubt, and also has warm water facilities. Secondly, they have a restaurant. Ambiens are good, but the taste of food is average. I didn't feel anything special in their food. All I could tell you is the food was tasteless. Most importantly, the owner may be a couple running this business. They are super rude people. These two people are enough to disappoint you and spoil your whole trip because they don't know how to speak to their guests. Because of this my whole trip was under disappointing. So if you want to enjoy your Hampi trip, this place is not for you. Thank you. S.P
Sushmita P — Google review
Worst experience ever Owner is smoking cigarette near tables while eating We ordered masala dosa, but it was quite disappointing. It was burnt in some places and extremely thick, not crispy at all. The masala didn’t taste fresh and it felt like we were just eating plain batter. Even the chutney wasn’t good. Also omlette, it's not at all worth the money The lighting was very poor, and the music was loud and unpleasant.
Akhila K — Google review
Worst experience I have had in a while. Bad food, bad taste, nothing is fresh, they served us frozen roti reheated. The gravy smelled like raw onion, quantity is the lowest I have had in a while. Table is not clean, even the menu card is so dirty you can draw on it. They managed to mess up even daal fry which they took 30 mins to serve.

One of the best hangouts in Hippie island. Lovely and friendly staff! I've was there all through the day, had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owner Ravi is very accommodative. Though you've to patiently wait for the order to be delivered, it is worth the wait. I stayed there for the night. The place is good for family, group and solo travellers.

Decent place to stay at Hampi. Its renamed as RK Residency. The rooms were decent, not quite impressive. The cafe is really serene with awesome trans and deep house music playing all day long. The worst part of the restaurant is the very slow and poor service which gets on the nerve. The owners should definitely look into improving the cafe services there.

One of the best places on the island. Food is very delicioud and the waiters are very friendly and fast. The place is beautiful with nature all around. The music is a very good mix of chill in the morning and party at night. Would recommend to everyone!

So this is my favorite place to eat, chill and get high in Hampi. First week we tried many of the restaurants of the road. Second week we only went to Gopi. Every day for every meal The Spanish breakfast was so good that we ordered it every single day (with some slight variations). Music is also very nice. They play funky music, chill out, minimalist techno, techno of the jungle and more. (there is a couple of playlist I will change but overall it was very good). Service was also perfect. The staff is very kind and they are always trying to make you happy. They always repeat "everything is possible my friend". Also try the the lasagna and order Indian food. And please please please don't miss the view of those green fields.

This place is in hippie island. It is located near paddy fields, so you can see the fields during your dining experience which is awesome. I went on New year's eve. They had campfire and live music at night (free). For accommodation, we got small huts which was convenient. Although the power was cutting in the morning sometimes. They don't provide any toiletries (not even towel). For hot water, you need to take your bucket and fill it from one tap present in common area. Overall, I liked the place.

The food, service and ambiance were amazing. It was a last minute decision to halt here. Almost around 9 PM we decided that we would want to stay back and the owner was really helpful and arranged for a room for us immediately. The food here was the best we could get at Virupapur Gaddie.!

Natural vibes.. reminded me of my village..staffs are well mannered. Paddy field view in cafe is great along with the Music played by dj. Multiple options for rooms are available. There is a garden area to just sit and chill

Chinese restaurant
Tibetan Kitchen Restaurant is a delightful establishment with a pleasant atmosphere. They offer an excellent selection of delectable soups that include vegetable noodle and potato garlic variants, which are highly recommended. The Indian cuisine provided is also quite satisfying and reasonably priced. In comparison to other nearby eateries, their rates are very affordable. The restaurant boasts delicious food at reasonable prices, making it a must-visit location when in Hampi.
Very friendly folks all around Hampi. This one is also fine with good food options but waiting time is ridiculous

One of the many restaurants in hampi village. They also have rooms for rent.

Nice place and good vibes ! They serve amazing soups !! Vegetable noodle soup and potato garlic soup are my personal favorite !! Indian food is also satisfactory that too at good price. I found rates are inexpensive in this restaurant compared to other restaurants in area ! Good food in good price. Must try when you are in Hampi. We met some crazy travelllers there they shared their travel stories with us ! Had great time on new year's Eve !😁
Tejal D — Google review
The place is not so hygienic. The staff were also kind of rude and with don't care attitude. Coming to the food- its pathetic. They don't know how to cook food. They just know some names which they put on the menu. Price is also over charged. Suggest not to visit.
Abhimanyu S — Google review
Quite expensive, not really a Tibetan restaurant but there are other varieties. The cafe is rooftop and there is no fan, so might get uncomfortable in the day.

Nothing new. It's like any of the shacks that populate the spot. The dishes are just ok and the ambience is so-so (don't expect pristine dining here).

Ravi’s Rose Restaurant in Hampi offers a diverse menu featuring Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Continental, and Italian cuisines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Despite its small size and rustic ambiance, the restaurant is popular among tourists for its delicious food. Visitors praise the friendly staff who are accommodating with food preferences and the family-run authentic feel of the place. The rooftop setting provides stunning views of Virupaksha temple while offering a relaxed atmosphere with chill-out music during sunset.
Their ambience is special, have two types of seating arrangement, one regular chair and table and other seating on the floor. Order may take a while to arrive but their taste is yumm. Sometimes you may get the cooking smell as the kitchen is very closeby, but not a big hassle. Owner is very friendly and comfortable place to have dinner with their special lighting.

Great place to relax and chill if you are near Virupaksha temple!! Super laid back and calm atmosphere, with great and affordable food. We tried pizza and watermelon mint juice over here and the juice was so refreshing
Shashwatee S — Google review
Tasty food items. Indian Thali is great. Their use of spices in food items also exqusite. Even chidren can also enjoy food items. It gives nice view of Virupaksha Temple Gopuram. You can have supper here with family in cozy atmosphere and cool winds. They have indian style sitting arrangment called "Baithak". Humble and polite people. They serve everything fresh here so you have to wait sometime after giving order.

Google map actually made us go there. This is very remote. I wouldn’t recommend going there even on bike. Food was ok and expensive. We had a fried rice and omelette
Sadique P — Google review
Indeed a good place to dine. Hopped into Ravi's Rose for a dinner and loved the seating and ambiance. Ordered Garlic chips (garlic fries), noodles soup, veg biryani, veg raita, banana milkshake and mixed fruit lassi.. the quality and the quantity was perfect!! But they definitely need to speed up their services (apparently there's only one / two cooks and one person who serves). Hence takes a lot of time for your order to arrive! Overall the food was yum!
Parvathi R — Google review
I recently visited this restaurant and tried the Veg Schezwan, Chicken Schezwan Noodles, and Thukpa — all three dishes were absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the Schezwan spice had just the right kick. The Thukpa was warm, comforting, and full of taste. Overall, a great dining experience with quality food and quick service. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic Indo-Chinese flavors!
Manoj G — Google review
Food was tasty! I was thinking the reviews might be fake but nope, the food is delicious and portions are good. Prices are slightly higher than others in the area but the quality is worth a couple added rupees. Staff is friendly. Only thing that was a minus was we asked for hot spicy but we didn't sweat from a hot spicy Navarathan Kurma. But it was a tasty Kurma.
CELINA B — Google review
This is place where you can freely buy alcohol + owner offer "special" lassi what was the scam - there wasn't anything "special" except the price. I hope you understand what is "special" lassi. This area in the heart of Hampi is alcohol free, but it you are the boss in panchayat, then you are above the law.

Food is good, service is too late. We ordered bread butter toast which is ₹70, but the craziest thing is they gave 3 pieces of bread 🍞 with half spoon 🥄 which not even worth of ₹20, fine if they include labour, electricity, everything including ₹30 is worth, no common sense in fixing price. I suggest there are many other restaurants around.. please select wisely

Visited this place for a breakfast during hampi visit. They serve variety of menu. We opted for tomato and onion omelette along with bread and coffee. Taste was good. Bit higher on the price but taste was good. Seating was comfortable. They have chairs and ground seating. Good place to try out in Hampi.

Went there for dinner, ordered veg fried rice & banana Nutella pancake. The taste was good, we got our order in 15-20 minutes. But while we finished eating many people who gave order with us, were still waiting for their order. We got lucky nothing else. You can visit if there are not much customers as there are not many people to take order or serve.

4 days back I visited Hampi. This was the only restaurant which has great taste & this is affordable too… me and some of my Russian friends visited here & what they also liked food so much. I tried every restaurant be it rooftop or anything else but I didn’t get taste there. Only here I felt the authentic aroma of food & taste like home. If you ever visit this place then please try their Fried Rice, Butter Paneer Masala, Alu parotha, tea, jeera rice etc. if you don’t believe then please try out other restaurant as well, you’ll know difference. I’ll give 10/10 rating for taste, ambiance, hospitality.

I stayed 3 nights with my family in the Sun Rise Guest House. It is a nice place in Sanapur. As the name suggest it has a beautiful site seeing of the sunrise every morning which i loved the most. The bamboo houses make you feel being a part of the nature. The owner Mr. Upendran as well as the staff members are very helpful. There are various options available for food and the taste is also good but i felt the charges were a bit high, however the nearby restaurants also charged the same with the same food options. I will recommend everyone to stay here.

Archana Guesthouse riverview & Roof Restaurant offers colorful rooms, some with air conditioning, in a simple property with a laid-back rooftop restaurant. The guesthouse is located very near to Virupaksha temple and provides a great view of the river from the first-floor restaurant. The food is highly praised for its taste and reasonable prices, while the cleanliness of the rooms receives positive feedback despite their worn-out appearance. The hospitality of both the restaurant and booking staff is noted as polite and welcoming.
This is definitely the hotel with the most beautiful view of the river in Hampi. The restaurant serves excellent food. The owner is very attentive. He helped us top up phone plans, get tickets, and book taxis. We had a great time!

Me and my (digital nomad) friends stayed for a few nights in low season and it was a lovely stay. The village is very small and cozy, and this guest house has the best view over the river. Ravindra and his wife are great hosts, their English is very good, and they will do everything to make your stay comfortable and nourishing. Their food is amazing, with an extensive menu from pizza to Indian food to Chinese food and more. Rooms are basic, but clean and neat. All rooms have their own private bathroom. I can recommend this place for all travelers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay in Hampi was overall decent, though our booked host wasn’t available at the time (for personal reasons, which we completely understood). We had pre-booked based on glowing reviews about the host, but this trip made me realize something important — a truly memorable stay depends on two things: the property and the host. And that’s exactly where Adhi Anna from Archana Palace made all the difference. Even though we weren’t staying at his property (ours was right opposite), he welcomed us with such generosity, kindness, and genuine care that not for a single moment did we feel like we were strangers. Located in the heart of Hampi’s commercial street, Archana Palace is honestly a gem. Adhi guided us so well with insider tips and local knowledge that we didn’t even need to rely on autos — a simple rental bike was enough to explore the best of Hampi. He answered all our queries gracefully, without any hidden agenda, and with a smile that instantly made us feel comfortable. That kind of warmth is rare in today’s world. Another thing worth highlighting is his property itself. Archana Palace offers spacious rooms that are perfect for any type of traveler — whether you’re on a family trip, a couple’s getaway, or even a solo exploration. The rooms are comfortable, airy, and give you that sense of homeliness while being right in the middle of Hampi’s charm. It’s not just a place to stay, but a space to gather, unwind, and truly feel connected to the experience. What touched us most was that even though we weren’t his guests, Adhi went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. His hardworking nature, deep knowledge of Hampi, and genuine dedication to helping people made this trip unforgettable. 👉 For anyone planning to visit Hampi, my first and last recommendation will always be Archana Palace & Group. Beautiful properties, spacious rooms, and above all — the unmatched warmth of Adhi Anna. Thank you, Adhi Anna — you will truly be missed! 🙏

Deluxe room charged me almost 5k INR for a night . I visited with family. rooms were very small without any scope of ventilation. It is a lodge not good for family. not worth than 2k INR. The ambiance is enhanced by swing beds outside, inviting guests to unwind in true hippie style.
We went there when we were coming back from Anjanadri hills , and trust me it is one of the best places I have ever been to in Hampi, when we asked the guy who was serving there that we have a group of 19 peoples so how can we sit at that place and he simply replied with smile that the entire place is yours which showed that how humble he was, then we ordered food mainly the Rice dishes as we didn't had much time on that day and we got yummy food as well but one thing is that you will get your orders bit late because he clearly told us at start only that we will cook the food after order only so customer will get fresh and hygienic food which was really good thing, we enjoyed there because that place is surrounded with lot of Greenery and mountains which will add more kind of flavours into your food. I ordered Thupka over there and it was literally delicious. Highly recommended!!!

They served me some food and were friendly, but it seemed that the place was not really operational as a restaurant anymore (mostly a homestay, it seemed). They had only a Thali available and I was the only guest. Other places like Prince food court also offer better value for money.

Good home made food by Sailaja. The food is served upstairs. We got a lot of authentic food served to us as a group. Went back twice. All vegetarian food. Suggestion -keep handwash soap. Also offer sweet as part of the food/thali
