Sheer Rocks is a luxurious restaurant located in Antigua, offering stunning views and a Mediterranean-inspired menu curated by one of the Caribbean's most acclaimed chefs. The restaurant features two cliff-front plunge pools and linen-draped day beds, providing an exquisite backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Whether it's lunch or dinner, guests can indulge in the gourmet offerings while enjoying the picturesque scenery.
Stunning view of the nearby bay. I would recommend booking for sunset time. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly. For a special occasion they gave us a free glass of prosecco after the meal which was lovely. We had the ravioli and the fish. Both were very tasty. The highlight was the passionfruit tart for dessert. The ice cream was full of vanilla beans and the tart was light and tangy. Portions are small but delicious. In particular wine by the glass is free poured and is very very small. Overall, it's worth going for the view alone!

Booked this restaurant for dinner. The views are amazing and the place is very scenic, really a great spot to take pictures. But the food was ok at best, honestly there are far better places on the island for the same price. Also the service was almost nonexistent. It was pretty quick but we felt a bit like a burden at some point. So will recommend only for the cool views.

Full transparency - the first time we attempted to visit SR on the way back from having driven round St John’s and Jolly Harbour, we’d hoped to stop and have dinner. But between arriving at the time the Cocobay hotel (in which Sheer Rocks is located) was doing fogging, the time (we’d missed sunset), the roadway in (the drive is full of potholes) and the unhelpful attitude of the Cocobay staff - we aborted. It appears the relationship between the resort Cocobay and SR isn’t an overly great one and CB isn’t very helpful to outside resort guests arriving to the SR restaurant… HOWEVER Earl (the supervisor of Sheer Rocks restaurant) followed us out and asked that we given them another try… and we’re glad we did. Our second attempt was MUCH better. We arrived at 5 pm and Earl personally sat us at a table with a gorgeous view of sunset for drinks pre dinner before sitting down for dinner at 5:30 pm at a neighboring table. My husband and I enjoyed the two course meal each - the pea and ham risotto was delicious, as was the red snapper and lobster ravioli entrees (albeit VERY pricey…) - think $280 USD for two. In future should we return, we may sit at the bar and just enjoy the a la carte tapas. BIG thanks again to Earl and his team for making our visit so very enjoyable.

Our group of 10 chose the tasting tapas menu which was absolutely fabulous. The location is unimaginably beautiful, but what really put the icing on the cake was our fabulous waitress, Nabby. She was professional, attentive, but most importantly of all, she was witty and engaging, making the whole experience so joyful and memorable. Thank you.
Helen M — Google review
We had dinner there on our last day at the Cocobay Resort upstairs. The resort rents property to the restaurant, otherwise they're unrelated and don't share kitchens or supplies (that we were told). The decor and infrastructure is completely symmetrical with what you see at the resort. We had reservations and didn't need to wait for our table. Service was good if a little wooden, but this could be just a culture delta. They didn't have all that we wanted to order. We chose the tasting menu with pairing of wine. It was good, but not spectacular. Some elements stood out more that others, but in all cases the servings were were small, even for a tasting menu. This was highlighted more by the fact that we paid $600 USD for the two of us. Good as it was, it was not $600 USD good. Overall, interesting discovery, by all means go and try.

Just a amazing place ! Put this one on your list ! The food was the best I had on the island ! Wished I would have gone twice !

I went here on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. I live in the US. From the moment my friend and I entered, it was just the two of us, there were no smiles and cold demeanors. A very un-welcoming atmosphere. We entered near the bar and a gentleman said hello and asked if we had reservations and the name on the reservation. I will say I made a mistake and didn’t complete the booking fully, I knew there were openings on Open Table, so I went ahead and made the reservation as I stood there. I was on vacation, things happen, it was my mistake. However, the attitude we were greeted with, and that stayed throughout the entire evening was unacceptable. There was a family of 4 that came right after us and they didn’t have a reservation, and he accommodated them. I am still unsure why I was treated this way. The service was so bad that even after we were seated and ordered a drink, I no longer wanted to order their food. The minimum to spend on food is $90 and I didn’t believe this establishment deserved my money with the way I was being treated on my own BIRTHDAY. The server that seated us didn’t smile didn’t give a warm or welcoming birthday wishes. The second server advised us as soon as we sat, that we have a 2 hour time limit because they are “so busy” and kept repeating how busy they are anytime we asked anything. She brought out the bread, etc; and advised her I didn’t want to order food, only drinks and enjoy the view. She stated the 3rd time, they are so busy and said we had to move back to table by the bar. She also glared at us the entire time we were seated because we didn’t order food. The view is great, but save your money. The customer service is 0/10 here. I had 2 drinks and left and went somewhere else to happily spend over $150 for better service for my birthday dinner, and I was ok with that. Read the other reviews about their service! Select lowest rating and see for yourselves. My advise to this establishment….TREAT PEOPLE BETTER, especially on their special day!! Horrible.

Caribbean restaurant
Trappas is a charming restaurant with a welcoming exterior featuring street-side tables under parasols. The interior is vibrant, adorned with colorful murals and filled with a lively mix of yachties, tourists, and locals. The menu offers comforting dishes like surf and turf, mashed potatoes, and beer-battered catch of the day. The food is bursting with flavor, mainly Creole but also featuring influences from Thai and Italian cuisine.
Good place to eat. The food was very tasty, and the service was quick and friendly. I had the mahi mahi fish special, and others in the parts had the pork chop and green curry fish. All were very good. They did have a bunch of vegetarian options listed, more than normal. The cocktails were also reported to be very good.
Brent C — Google review
Decent food and offers vegetarian options (simply just the meat dishes but without meat). Service was quite slow on a Sunday night. Portions of the vegetarian and grilled fish items we had were relatively small compared to the ones with meat.

10 of out 10. The atmosphere is beautiful. Excellent service. Great menu for both food and drinks. My selection was a stake and it was cooked to perfection. Drink of choice was the strawberry 🍓 cruch, and I must highlight the taste is amazing. I look forward to making here my date night spot.
Kiesha B — Google review
Good food but slow service and slow to get your drinks. Enjoyed my steak but the rice was bland. I would return to try other things on the menu.
Arlene J — Google review
Fantastic food. Really well cooked and delicious. Local foods done so well. We had three course and the signature rum punch and couldn’t get enough. The staff are also fantastic, friendly and funny too. This is the must stop place to eat if you’re staying in Falmouth bay or English harbour. Also great gluten free cake!
Kate H — Google review
The ambience was pleasing. Service was excellent, appetizers were delicious. The pasta was a bit watery.
Christla ( — Google review
Being my 2nd visit, I must say it's a come back from my 1st. The customer service was great. The meals are set for that restaurant but the various burst of flavors are tasted in every bite. The mixologist did a mixed smoothie blend and a chocolate infused creme topped with coffee as requested based on my mood...Totally on point with taste as presentation. The items are reasonably priced but parking is suggested in the car port next to the gas station. Wheelchair accessibility. The wait time was reasonable however this was with limited patrons.
Andrew N — Google review
I had dinner here twice during my Antigua trip - fish of the day (wahu) once, and chicken curry the other time. The entree came with a side and a bread basket that was excellent. The portions of the entrees were still on the small side given the price but within English Harbour, this is a solid choice.

French restaurant
Le Bistro Restaurant is a renowned Antiguan establishment that has recently undergone a modern makeover, featuring Mediterranean-inspired decor and a chic lounge area. The restaurant offers classic regional dishes with local ingredients, including specialties like smoked marlin carpaccio and prawns in ginger white wine sauce. With its fine selection of wines from various regions, the restaurant provides an inviting dining experience.
Delicious from the table bread to dessert! Started with escargot, Caesar salad, and onion soup which were fabulous. Dinner was filet (cooked a perfect medium rare), rack of lamb cut table side (4 tender pieces), and duck l'orange. The orange sauce was addicting and we received half of a duck! Such generous portions. Dessert we on the cart and as tasty as it looks. It was a little hard to get the check as there was only one lady in charge of the seating and billing. Overall great service and an open and airy atmosphere, I'd come back the next day if I could. Highly recommend!

Delicious food! We tried the Lobster Bisque, Mushroom Ravioli and the Shrimp in Curry Coconut Sauce. We didn’t have a reservation so we had to sit outside, by the main door. It was hot, no fans, service was slow. It took me 40 minutes to finally pay my bill. They were mainly focused on the tables inside the restaurant. The service staff is very professional and polite. It was my bday so they gave me a complimentary ice cream. I’d recommend anyone to only seat inside. Outside is not comfortable.

Le Bistro in Antigua is a culinary gem and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining and exceptional seafood. Nestled in a charming setting, this restaurant offers an intimate and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complements its world-class cuisine. The menu features a delightful array of fresh seafood dishes, each prepared with exquisite attention to detail and flavor. From perfectly grilled fish to rich and creamy lobster dishes, every bite is a testament to the chef’s skill and the quality of the ingredients. The presentation is impeccable, making the meal as visually stunning as it is delicious. In addition to the food, the service at Le Bistro is top-notch. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend the perfect wine pairing or dish to suit your taste. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience, Le Bistro is the perfect choice. It’s no wonder it’s considered the best seafood restaurant on the island!

High end place, Everyone dressed beautifully.. Make sure you call for reservations first, They had some walk-up spots available but not all the time. Service and staff was friendly altho they seemed really busy. Food & drinks came out perfectly - been enjoying the restaurant for about an hour and nobody's sent food back or complained...

When my wife and I stayed in Antigua in 2014 for our honeymoon, this place was highly recommended. And it did not disappoint! Best food I've ever ate, regardless of being in the Caribbean. Service was outstanding and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Highly recommend a visit when traveling to Antigua!

I'm going to break down my 2025 experience so ride along with me please. The Food is not all it's cracked up to be at all!!! The former owner🤔😌😡🥶unwelcoming and not authentic in her dealings with us. Disdain was felt across the table. There was a lot of hype in Antigua about dining here and other than the hype the meals were a 1 maybe. I appreciate good food no matter the cost. These taste buds have to be pleased then all else pales. Ever had food so good you couldn't finish? I sure have! This was not it!!! The prices did not match the taste. I had one thing that was good and I truly can't remember what it was sadly! The ambience was relaxed and the space was elegant 4 ⭐. Bathroom beautiful and clean. There was a young lady who sported dreadlocks and she was nice and professional. The other staff was ok. The lady who I learned later on used to own the place is a blatant racist who choose serving other races over us even though they were seated after us. The disrespect was clear. Message sent! Her willingness to share the menu options as a gracious host did not happen. She left out select items that were the daily features and other stuff. The servers had to clean that up behind her. When they asked if we were told about these items we were clueless as to what she spoke of! She then graciously explained and we thanked her. Sad. She pick and choose what she would do and when. Dear Le Bistro, I will never recommend this place EVER! ANTIGUA is my birth place where white and black people live really cool and in peace. Where used to this. In a business setting the color of skin does not matter when one bothers to patronize your/any business. The bill was paid and the gratuities dispersed. This is an abomination. Revamp, retrain and have a sit down with this lady & staff or get rid of this lady!!! Her attitude was too much, her disposition set in stone that we were not who she wanted to serve. How dear she treat us with disdain, and her nose turned up? We traveled far to visit home and choose your establishment and someone else seconded my reaction to this agreeing that this was true! Wow!.I am still displeased and disappointed to have wasted time and money to come there and be treated like a slave, as if our presence was unwanted! For these absorbent prices "one must be treated well". Even if it was a dollar store, consumers need to be treated well. I'm ashamed! I thought Antigua was a tourist destination. May I add that it was my friend's first time in Antigua and she was upset and her feathers were ruffled!

Catherine's Café is a chic and picturesque beachfront institution located alongside the stunning Pigeon Beach in Antigua. With its fiery sunsets and magical ambiance, it's a popular spot for weddings. The passionate hosts, Claudine & Guillaume, offer an open-plan Caribbean beach house restaurant specializing in local seafood and an exclusive French wine list. Additionally, there's La Plage beach bar and lounge steps away from the water offering creative cocktails and tapas platters until sunset.
V accommodating. We walked in from the beach looking for light lunch. We had lovely beach menu. Corn, salad and fish cakes. They were all delicious and we wolf it down quite quickly. Great ambience. Live band too. Reservation would be better if u don’t want to be rushed for ur meal.
Hag — Google review
We spend the day on Pigeon Beach yesterday and decided to try Catherines for a light lunch. The atmosphere and welcoming even though we just walked in off the beach with no reservation was very well received. Staff were excellent and attentive. I had the lobster and shrimp baguette which was delicious. The wife had a spicy salami, chorizo and jalapeno flat bread, was very nice. But she wished she had mine. Service was on point and we were not rushed at all. A lovely chilled vibe with nice chill out music. To be honest the beach menu was great value. The burgers cooked to your liking came with fries looked amazing but glad we didn’t get one as they were massive. The Restauarant menu looked good too although a bit pricier understandably Going back tomorrow, says it all. Went back and had a wonderful afternoon. The wife had a lobster cesar salad with big chunks of lobster and I had the burger both delicious. Followed by pina coladas and rum punches. Great day and service as always.

Idyllic oasis on the beach. Large decked area is beautiful dappled sunlight. Friendly service from happy, smiley people. Ice cold beer in chilled glasses.
Michael C — Google review
Went twice during our week in Antigua. Once for lunch and another for Valentine’s Day dinner. Both meals were brilliant, the band who played on V Day were beautiful. The seafood was unbelievable. Would say it’s on the pricier side for Antigua but the setting (right on the most gorgeous beach) food, ambience makes it all worth it. They kindly booked us a taxi and another when ours didn’t turn up! Only criticism was that the surf and turf was a very small portion as a main for us both - would have loved more for the price we paid for the set menu. Highly recommend as a treat to anyone visiting Antigua!

Beautiful place to visit and an amazing wedding venue. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. Food and service was impeccable.

One of the better restaurants in Antigua, if I’m being honest. I liked their pasta, pate, fish, salmon croquette. Views were great and setting is beautiful like high end beach setting. Their ice cream parfait is great for customizing highly recommend.

Pizza restaurant
Big Banana, located in the heart of St. John's bustling urban life, is a popular casual dining eatery with a modern rustic decor that reflects its 18th-century rum house origins. The menu offers a variety of dishes including pizza, burgers, wraps, and local specialties like the catch of the day. The restaurant is known for its flavorful fruit crushes and lively atmosphere that embodies Antiguan hospitality.
Some of the best cocktails we have ever had… anywhere! Great service, friendly, relaxed and fun. I wish we had more time here… try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Cute pizza place in town outside eating area is open with nice view of surrounding shops. Cool location out of sun in the back. Open seating inside clean and quiet. We went here quickly after checking in for a flight back home. Give yourself 20-30mins before your flight if you do the same.

Terrible service. Pizza came after almost 2 hours although they told us waiting time is 45 min. Pizza was soggy ane below average, and out of 3 pizzas 2 were cold, not even luke warm. I ordered one pizza to go as well, they forgot (which was a good thing tbh, judging the quality). I would not recommend the place. As a good thing, the atmosphere is nice, although it takes ages to order another drink

I just want to thank the staff at Big Banana. My partner was not having a good day, and even so the server was friendly and treated us wonderfully. Pricing was also extremely fair for the portion size and the food tasted great. Service was a little bit “on island time” but again very friendly, so no complaints at all!
Jason E — Google review
Definitely not a five-star but definitely a solid 4. For the price and convenience can't beat it. Very diverse menu and the staff was super friendly. We didn't use it as we ate on location but they have a great delivery service also. Also ate at the location in the airport which was actually a little more upscale than the location in St John's.

Seafood restaurant
Papa Zouk is a lively dive bar located at the intersection of Hilda Davis Drive and Dickenson Bay Street, just north of St. Johns. The restaurant, owned by Bert Kirchner, offers a vibrant atmosphere with a large seafood menu and an extensive rum selection. The rustic decor features madras tablecloths and unique straw lamps, creating a laid-back ambiance complemented by toe-tapping Zouk music.
Best Birthday vacation ever in 2023 and a pescatarian’s Dreams.. It was fulfilling and finger licking tasty good! Worth every Penny.I will be back when I get back.
Dawn D — Google review
My spouse and I were recommended to go to this place if we wanted to enjoy good seafood. I won’t lie, food was really good. However, we did not end up the night quite pleased. The people that work there are very nice and friendly, anything you need they will assist you. As a drink, we order the rum punch, their specialty. Really strong, we were a little buzzed with just one drink 🤣 As I said, the quality of the food was good. Their bread is DELICIOUS!! We were very surprised. My spouse ordered the fried red snapper, I ordered the house mix platter. All fresh and tasty. Food took a little bit to prepare, which we appreciate because it means it’s fresh cooked. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is because we felt like they charge you American prices. No sides with your food, besides a small salad. If you order fish, you’ll have fish. Nothing to eat it with. Overall, we were satisfied with the quality of the food, the environment and the service.
Nuria B — Google review
I recently dined at Papa Zouk in Antigua, and while the food was good, the overall experience was uncomfortable and ruined our last night on the island. The first thing you notice when entering the restaurant is that it's very overwhelming: a lot of everything. Decorations, too many customers in a room, and fans - which made it challenging to have a conversation with the person in front of you. We were lucky enough to be accommodated at one of the few single tables, as most guests had to share a long table (which would have been absolutely fine!). However, as it was a special night, we were delighted to have a bit more privacy. After 15 minutes (we had already ordered food and drinks), the owner came to us and "kindly" asked us to move to a shared table as there was a couple celebrating something special. Something so special that the lady spent the evening watching her phone, and the waitress turned out to be a friend. For the inconvenience, the owner told us that drinks were on him. The food was good; the fried elements of the dish were excellent with perfect breadcrumbs. Maybe a little too oily. I liked the idea of serving homemade sauces on the table to dress food (like putting olive oil on the table but instead, you had a passion fruit dressing). The only problem with the food was that we ordered two dishes to share and received three (one entree and two main courses - exactly bthe same main course). We asked the waiter if the food was definitely ours, and she confirmed. At this stage, we thought maybe they had shared the main course on two plates as it was a bigger meal. Well, once the bill arrived, the surprise: they charged us for the drinks (2 rum punch and water, not a magnum of champagne) and two main courses. We were extremely disappointed with this, and thankfully a young lady (she was working at the bar?) assisted us and was very kind and understanding. On the other hand, our waitress was rude and lacked basic customer service skills, starting to say that we couldn't have our dinner for free, and things like that. We explained that we didn't want a free dinner; clearly, as paying customers (and the restaurant is overpriced considering portion sizes), we wanted to pay for the service received. Ah, guess what? This was the waitress was friend of the people who were sitting at our initial table. In all this, the owner did not check on us once. All in all, it was a bizarre and unpleasant experience that I would not recommend. It's a shame because the restaurant was recommended by locals and we were so excited, but it was the worst night in the last 10 days. We're coming back to Antigua soon, but don't think this place will be on our list again.

What a place! This isn’t just a restaurant, its a whole experience. Bert (the owner) sat down with us to have a lovely chat and told us about their menu of the day. We had the most beautiful meal! Expect Incredible atmosphere and the yummiest rum punch (rum tea) must go if you are in Antigua

The food was great, the people were great, and the vibe was awesome. We really enjoyed our dinner at Papa Zouk. The crab cake was phenomenal, the soup amazing, and our entree's were unforgettable. The rum punch was refreshing (take your time and drink water haha). Highly recommend!

Papa Zouk in Antigua is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh seafood and a lively atmosphere. The food is spectacular, featuring rich island flavors and creative dishes that showcase the best local ingredients. Staff are genuinely warm and friendly, making each guest feel like a long-time friend from the moment they arrive. The restaurant’s décor is playful and unique, filled with vibrant colors, quirky art, and rum bottles that celebrate Antigua’s spirit. Even the restrooms are part of the journey, decorated with fun, local touches that add extra personality to the place. Dining here isn't just a meal—it’s a true Antigua experience you’ll never forget.

Nestled in the heart of historic English Harbour, Colibri Bistro Bar Lounge offers a unique blend of Caribbean charm and French Creole cuisine. The quaint cottage-style restaurant is surrounded by lush gardens, creating a serene atmosphere for diners. The menu features a variety of dishes such as house-made bouillabaisse, gnocchi, steamed lobster tail, and truffle and Parmesan fries.
Incredible! Didier & his wonderful team of staff are the best! Being here is like coming home; the freshest ingredients create a menu of food you really want to eat! From the kitchen staff to the servers, the bar staff to the maintenance team, Colibri has it all & I thoroughly recommend as always.

This is a lovely place! I went here for the first time in 2021 and was so happy to see it open and thriving when I came back again in 2025. I’ve loved every bit of food I’ve had here. Most recently, the tamarind sour cocktail and the yellowfin tuna carpaccio with passion fruit and crystallized ginger were particularly phenomena! Also the crème brûlée is some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Great atmosphere, great prices for the quality you are getting, and just a wonderful place to dine. Hope to go back again soon!

This restaurant should be on everybody's hit list. I was blown away by the quality and care put into each dish. I can be a bit snobby when it comes to eating out and this place checked all the boxes. Stellar service, Great atmosphere, friendly staff, etc. In addition, great care was put into the crafting of cocktails. Perfectly balanced but there was no issues making modifications. I like my drinks less sweet and they accomodated that. If you like great food, do not miss Colibri!

Had a delicious beautiful dinner on a night with live music. The patio is to die for, the lights and music make it feel like a whole new world in the restaurant. Service was excellent and accommodating, moving us from inside to outside. Recommend all of the deserts and apps.

Colibri is a breath of fresh air into the English Harbor area. The French menu is well thought out with options for all while keeping a pinch of the Antigua flavor. We have eaten here several times and always like to try a place more than once before reviewing. That said, 5 star for sure. Yes, there is an occasional mosquito or noisy car passing by…. Who cares, you are in paradise eating great food and sipping fantastic cocktails. The owner makes sure to make rounds to every table to see how you are doing. That might seem “over the top” for some, however, we find it very grounded and intimate. No better way to keep a pulse on the overall experience than asking a gust. Hats off to the entire Colibri team. Owner, bartender, waitress, hostess, runners…. Perfect~ Tip- 1) make a reservation ahead of time. It is very easy to do online on the Colibri website. 2) order the Brandy Alexander, delicious!

Favorite meal l I had in Antigua! Been twice already this year. Great Food, Great Service, Great Specialty Cocktails. The restaurant is beautiful, we ate inside but the garden looked great too. Stayed after dinner for some really good live music in the outdoor lounge. Can't wait to go back next year.

Our 3rd time visiting and this time was the best time by far - the service was exceptional, so friendly, attentive and prompt. In the past we’ve had a selection of starters, but tonight we opted for the mussels to start, then the Tuna Tartare, the Blanquette (incredible) and the Dauphinoise side. The Jarras rosé wine was also delicious - super light and crisp. Highly recommend and should you visit on a night with the music, then it’s an extra treat!

Shirley Heights Lookout is a restored military lookout and gun battery that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the island of Antigua. Situated nearly 500 feet above English Harbour, this iconic spot is a must-visit for travelers. The lookout was built in 1773 by Sir Thomas Shirley as a watchtower to oversee his vast sugar plantation.
A must-do for an intimate island experience with great music, lovely views. Reggae Thursdays are supposedly quieter than Sundays but my, still very busy with a good 20-30 minute wait to get thru the food line. Didn't seem streamlined or with much verbal direction so come with patience. A few servers and cooks weren't happy to be there, others were kind. The grilled wahoo was excellent and worth the wait. Music was the best part.

10$ USD entrance I went on a reggae Thursday, the food line takes about 20-30 minutes but it’s actually very good. Highly recommend huge vibe with a great view of the bay

Shirley Heights Lookout Restaurant A Must Visit for Sunset Views & History Lovers! Visited during my trip to Antigua not for the food, but for the breathtaking panoramic views and rich historical setting. Even without dining, the experience was unforgettable. If you're coming just for the views and history, it's still 100% worth it! The restaurant is built among restored military ruins, transforming a historic site into a vibrant, open air destination full of Caribbean charm. 📍 Location Tip: Located inside a national park with entrance fee of $40 EC / $15 USD (includes access to the Officer's Quarters & The Blockhouse). ✨ What Makes It Special: Perched high above English and Falmouth Harbours, the views especially at sunset or sunrise are absolutely stunning. Watching the harbor glow under golden skies is truly magical. ✨️ Helpful Tips: ⏳️ Arrive early on Sundays for the best seats and to avoid long lines (based on reviews). 🌅 Weekdays are quieter and great for a peaceful experience. 💲 Bring cash/card, food & drinks can be pricey, but the vibe makes up for it (according to other reviews). 📸 Don’t forget your camera, this place is a goldmine for sunrise and sunset photography! Even without trying the food or drinks, I can say Shirley Heights is a must see in Antigua. From local music and culture to its unbeatable views, it’s perfect for travelers looking to experience the island’s spirit. Whether you're there to dance, relax with a drink, or just take in the view this spot delivers.

Heights and views beautiful. AVOID FOOD. Full tourist - calling that jerk chicken was a war crime. It’s roast chicken with a jerk sauce over it, served with chips. Service was glum: like I’d offended them in another life. Must go for the view, just don’t get hungry.
Alex — Google review
Shirley heights on a Sunday is a must! Don't drive...get there early if you want to get a seat. Even with the rain we managed to get a view of a beautiful sunset. The queues for the food are long so plan in advance so you dont miss the sunset as the place fills up pretty quick. The steel band were great and the rum punch was on another level!
Madhav I — Google review
Yes there is a fee to show up... Food and service is good. Definitely go on a Thursday or Sunday. Reggae Thursday is a vibe.
Keniel L — Google review
This a must visit spot on a Sunday. The vibes are definitely there - especially the sunset, the music is jamming with the steel pan and live music, food smells on the grill, & drinks are on deck(but byob to avoid the lines). Hire a professional driver to get there; unless you are comfortable with driving on the left side at night. Purchase your tickets in advance! The line for the food and drinks can get long during peak hours. Go early! Wear comfortable shoes. Ladies, leave the heels! You can end up straining an ankle if you are careful.

Breakfast restaurant
Hemingway's Caribbean Cafe is a charming restaurant located in St. John's, Antigua, offering a casual dining experience with a focus on Creole and Caribbean cuisine. The menu features authentic dishes such as Antiguan fricassee of saltfish, local lobster flambeed with Cavalier rum, curry shrimp and okra gumbo, and roasted jerk pork tenderloin with pineapple relish.
Best Oxtail I’ve ever tried in my entire life! Food is delicious! Service is good! The ambience is great. Specially from the balcony. Don’t skip this place! Their Old Fashioned Rum Punch is good.
Veronica A — Google review
My husband and I ate lunch at Hemingway's during a cruise that stopped at St. John's. The good: The location is conveniently located by the port, and the upstairs outdoor patio provides a cool breeze. Their smoothies were refreshing, and their conch fritters were tasty (the sauce was on the spicier side). The bad: The prices were high, even for a tourist trap. There was a 17% tax (not including gratuity) added onto the menu prices. Our smoothies were approximately $7.50 each, which was reasonable. We paid $20 for three conch fritters, which was unreasonable. However, the most off-putting part of our experience was the service. We were not approached when we entered the restaurant and had to ask to be seated. Our server did not appear happy and did not look us in the eyes. She took our order, and we did not see her again. Service was slow, even though it was 1:30 pm on a Monday. It took us 40 minutes to receive two smoothies and a conch fritter appetizer. We heard another worker berating the customers at the table behind us for not eating their food sufficiently since the worker said she assumed they would want certain dishes brought out first. When we were done eating, we had to seek out a server to pay our check. Overall: The food was pleasant enough, but I wish I'd saved my money and time and eaten on the cruise ship. It wasn't worth the price for the poor service.

Yes this is definitely worth visiting; delightful, excellent burger as soft as butter, sweet potato fries all delicious and serviced with very fresh & neatly presented mayo & ketchup. Very quaint wrap-around terrace on first floor. Lovely service with a genuine smile and honestly if we weren’t in a rush we’d have stayed for several hours, just drinking watching the world go by. A lime fizz works super well with a burger!

This is hands down the best Caribbean-style food in Antigua! We’ve been here multiple times, and every single visit has been consistently excellent. The service is wonderful, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, freshly made, and always served with a smile. They’re always on point, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. If you’re in Antigua and want an authentic, mouthwatering meal, this is the place to go. Highly recommend we’ll definitely keep coming back!

This restaurant is located at the pier where our cruise ship docked. The place was recommended by our tour guide. It’s across the street where he let us off. You have to walk up stairs to get to it. So it’s not suitable for handicap. By the entrance there were souvenir vendors. The place only had 4 other customers. We were seated on the patio. We had 2 different servers. Another couple came in after us and she took their order before us a gentleman came in way after us and got his food before us. The first server seemed annoyed and the second server was not that friendly. We order 2 daiquiris for $9.65 each and the Key west club for $17.40. We waited 20 minutes. The sandwich and fries were good. So were the cocktails. Just the service was lacking.

This place came highly recommended for seafood and while in Antigua I really wanted to try the lobster. The food was great but it is a bit pricey. I paid $70 for lobster.
Dalia F — Google review
Nice little spot for a taste of the carribean. Definitely recommend pepper pot (I added chicken) - loved it- the flavours and spice were just what I was looking for! The drinks were really nice too. My sister had the pumpkin soup. She said it was nice but could have had a bit more spice flavours. The prawns were alright (maybe a little over priced though). The shape of the dish made it difficult to really enjoy the sauce with the prawns. In terms of sides, the white basmati was done really nicely (according to my sister), sweet potato fries were good and the salad dressing was a nice touch to the salad. My 8 year old nephew loved his chicken and chips, and ice cream sundae. The jerk chicken wrap was ok... the sauce was a little bit tangy and overpowering (wouldve been nice if I could taste the chicken and if it was a bit more spicy. Instead, it tasted like I was just eating the bbq jerk from the bottle at points (more ketchup-y) so I could only eat one half of my wrap at the time. Overall though, the staff were friendly and we enjoyed our visit.

Day one in Antigua, and this is the first place I dined at — no regrets!!! Unfortunately, I didn’t capture the Fish critters because once I got a taste it was hard to stop — order them!! The fried plantains, seafood pasta & curry shrimp dishes were very flavorful and satisfying!! This spot is cute and even cuter at night with the lights. Customer service is exceptional!

It has been YEARS since I've dined at C&C and that's because I've always considered it a first date setting. But I do remember the food being 10/10. I decided to try their Bingo Tuesday and Idky I haven't done it sooner! I love bingo and I love food plus they're really friendly and provide a fun atmosphere. It was kind of hot even though it was outdoors but that's not their fault. Just a point to note to to go on a breezy night if heat isn't for you. If you're considering to visit C&C for food, atmosphere, value and a memorable night out then YES.

When we cruise we always pick a highly rated restaurant to have lunch and on this visit to St. John we picked the C&C Wine Bar. It was a great choice, really good food and the service was perfect, attentive, and fast. It is a wine bar but the food was really yummy. I had fish and chips, prepared perfectly and tasty. Susan had Fish & Vegetable Coco Curry which she devoured. We will return.

We visited at Saturday lunchtime. The food was fine (just a chicken wrap but very tasty). Good cocktails- a good old Rum Punch and a Painkiller. What lets this place down is the service. We have come across so many friendly restaurant staff in Antigua who have e been warm and welcoming. Here they could hardly raise a smile. If you don’t like your job- find a new one!! Lovely decor and vibe, but the food is distinctly average Italian. We had some excellent mussels and disappointing octopus to start, followed by some very bland sesame tuna and mediocre pasta (effectively cut-up tuna in a tomato sauce). The chef really needs to up his seasoning and usage of salt. Wine selection though was good and nice seating indoors and outdoors. Italian manager warmly greeted us and bid us farewell

This place was next to our hotel in English Harbor. Kept us up all night with unreasonably LOUD music. Place was empty but they still kept playing loud music. Damn the neighbors. Literally until 5 am two nights in a row. Not cool at all. We were awake all night.

We came back to English Harbour for the holidays to find that this place has ruined the peace of Nelson’s dockyard by blaring music until 3am on weeknights and 4am on weekends. Better when it was just a restaurant.

Fraudulent operation. Beware. We went for NYE party having purchased $90 USD per person tickets that their Facebook advertising said came with free drinks all night (with reasonable restrictions). They refused to honor this and tried to fob us off with free tapas (we’d just come from dinner) and a $30pp bar tab. The proprietor repeatedly fobbed us off and tried to make his staff deal with it rather than take any responsibility for his false advertising or even admit he was the proprietor. We demanded our money back, though we didn’t get the sales tax back, and left. Had much more fun elsewhere. Be very careful if you go here.

Completely legit Italian. Manager has the accent too! One of those places where the quality of the pasta is enough. It's that good. I asked for a penne dish but wanted a red sauce, essentially combining two menu offerings. They were quick to accommodate my request. My wife got the lasagna and was so pleased she did. Significantly different than lasagna in the states. Manager makes the crafted cocktails. There is a wide menu of cocktails. Fresh ingredients everywhere, some out of their garden. Odd place to get to if your on land. You have to drive up to an old ship repair yard and park there, walk through the work space and keep going to the water. But worth it. Keep going!

We loved this restaurant!! Starting with the service. The owners are a so kind and present for all their guests. You feel like You are in their house! Our server was so adorable and really added to the enjoyment of our meal. The food came out in the right pace. Not to fast not too slow! The ambiance was gorgeous. Like perfect lively seaside restaurant but not overly energetic that it felt overwhelming. Music was all over the place, 80’s 90’s jazz etc. But cute and fun we didn’t mind the eclectic mix. It’s really convenient that they have a dingy trip take you to and from the restaurant! I don’t think the food was the best. But the whole experience was 5 stars I would def still recommend to anyway.

We're here for a vacation with another couple of friends. This restaurant was recommended to us and it was truly amazing. We started with some appetizers, which were delicious. Shakudry tray, with great prosciutto, ham, hard cheese, soft cheese and Girkin pickles. Ceasar salad, Soo good! (and we try the Ceasar salad everywhere we go) then for our main course we each chose a different dish and everyone absolutely LOVED their meal. I enjoyed the perfectly seared sushi grade Tuna with a soy reduction sauce and mashed potatoes, my hubby John had the fall off the bone "so tender!" he said, ribs with roasted potatoes, my girlfriend Marni had the daily feature, pesto gnocchi "it was amazing' and her husband, Doug loved his seafood linguine. All pasta is authentic from Italy, Andrea, the owner came out to check in on our dinner. What a great young man. Kept the restaurant going though COVID-19. Found ways to earn money by cooking for private yacht tours. His love of food is apartment with each bite,. Now even growing some of his own veggies and herbs the flavors of Italian cooking are truly amazing. We would highly recommend it to everyone. Priced reasonably for Antigua standards. Beautiful atmosphere right on the water. Very friendly staff always smiling. Akim was our server and was great 👍 We will be back!

Located in St. Johns, The Larder is a modern and sleek dining spot that offers a unique blend of deli and sushi bar experiences. Since its establishment in 2010, it has garnered numerous accolades, including being named the Best Restaurant in the Caribbean by Caribbean Journal in 2020. The menu is an innovative culinary journey featuring handcrafted sushi rolls and succulent steak dishes.
Larder was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and impressively prompt—perfect for our mid-day bite with coworkers. The menu is a fresh food lover’s dream, packed with healthy options and rotating daily specials that keep things exciting. On my first visit, I had the jerk chicken—spicy, tender, and packed with flavor. It hit all the right notes and paired perfectly with one of their fresh juices (which are a must-try on their own). The balance of bold Caribbean spice and quality preparation made it stand out. I was so impressed, I came back the very next day for an early dinner. This time, I went with the lamb shank—and wow. It was hearty, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone tender. The accompanying potatoes and greens were snappy, vibrant, and well-seasoned—true supporting stars of the plate. Major kudos to the chef. Larder earns a full 5 out of 5 from me. Whether you're grabbing a quick, healthy lunch or settling in for a satisfying dinner, it’s a spot that delivers every time. A quick note: it is NOT fast, it's real food. Certain dishes can be a long wait so dont be in any hury.

Consistently good restaurant with a very wide menu, that ranges from middle eastern to Antiguan to italian. They have excellent stews and make great hummus and lamb chops. There are tables outdoors, facing the parking lot, and few tables indoors. It is open breakfast to dinner and also has ice cream and pastries.
Luca S — Google review
Visited for lunch on 8 August 2024 I want to caveat this review with the fact that I visited the Larder for breakfast about a year ago and it was a great experience (I don't remember if I wrote a review for that visit). My two friends and I went in for lunch on a Thursday close to 1 pm. It didn't seem too busy, and we got seated right away. We had all dined previously, so we expected good food and drinks. Our expectations were not met. We all ordered drinks. I ordered a local rum punch, and one friend had a strawberry daiquiri, which the other had a virgin coconut crush. The virgin coconut crush was the only drink that was made to satisfaction. My local rum Punch tasted like juice (and not local juice). I had to ask the wait staff to have them remake it or add more rum. The daiquiri took a bit longer, but when it arrived, it was also lacking. We asked it the bar tender was new, but as stated by the wait staff, they were not. The daiquiri was also returned to be remade. The food. I had the fish burger with sweet potato fries. You can never go wrong with burgers, and thus, my meal was satisfactory. Both my friends ordered a pig foot soup each because their first option was not available. Once their soups arrived, one only contained a single piece of meat, but more alarming was that the soup tasted lake Campbell's soup. Unsatisfactory!! Nevertheless, we ate our meals, paid our bill, and left. The Larder is a bit spendy, and like most businesses, ABST (tax) is added to the prices you see on the menu, and a 10% service charge is added to the bill. I would cautiously recommend the Larder, but avoid the pig foot soup.

Friendly, amazing food from taste to presentation. This was our last place to eat before heading home to KY and we were impressed!!
Melissa M — Google review
We were promptly greeted upon arrival and invited to choose our own table, which was a nice start. After about 10 minutes, a server came by to take our order, both food and drinks, which was perfectly fine, as we were still reviewing the menu. However, after placing our order, we waited over 30 minutes without receiving even our drinks. I politely inquired about them and was told the bartender was to blame, although we had observed other tables who came after us served by the same waitress receiving their drinks during that time. Unfortunately, the delay and lack of follow-up left a poor impression, and my party ultimately decided to leave without receiving any part of our order. Disappointed we didn’t get to try the food, as we were looking forward to the experience.

The Larder was an okay sort of experience tonight. The place is clean and the ambiance is carefully thought out. Cleanliness is up to par and the waiter is well trained and friendly. We had ribs, curried chicken, chicken rice, steam vegetables and mash potatoes. I think that the chef may have had a slightly off night but the tastiness was still okay, although I was expecting more. Once they can up their game a little bit more, I will surely visit again.

The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere during the day and a stunning view of the Caribbean sunset in the evening. The efficient staff provides attentive service without being overbearing. The menu features skillfully prepared dishes, such as New York-style bagels with lox for breakfast and sweet potato and butternut sauté for lunch, accompanied by coconut bouillon and crispy papadam.
This place is right on the beach. The views and food were amazing! I ordered the seafood linguine which was delicious. We also had shrimp scampi and crab cakes for appetizers. Again, very good and tasty! Staff was friendly and they had lovely live music.

Stumbled upon Salt Plage looking for a good spot for a late lunch/early dinner and it did not disappoint. Food and service was very good and the atmosphere was wonderful. There was an event happening for culinary month that evening so we were lucky enough to see the Panache Steel Orchestra and hear a little music from a local band.

Great location. Great service. Jayden makes a great lemon drop martini! We had the shrimp Alfredo & lamb ragu. Both were delicious. The crème brûlée is worth the calories!

We came to hire sun loungers for the day. the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Marlon made us feel welcome and always smiled . Unfortunately we do not remember the ladies names at the bar/restaurant - but they were all very friendly and professional too. I got stung by a jellyfish and of the ladies gave us some vinegar to help with the pain. We felt well looked after . Thank you guys 🙏🏼 Cocktails and food was superb 👌🏼 cannot fault this place .

Good food and not too pricey. Fish burger is delicious. Bar service to the beach is great But slow service. Been a couple of times and would avoid weekends as it is very busy on the small beach and the small swimming area wascxtremely crowded and noisy. I would recommend this place but I would go on a weekday. You have to pay for the beach chairs and umbrella even if you eat there.

Garden Grill is a popular outdoor dining spot located near Dutchmans Bay, offering a relaxed atmosphere and creative menus. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including spicy chicken sandwiches, goat cheeseburgers, salmon, sweet potato cakes, and the grilled catch of the day. It's known for its consistent quality and welcoming ambiance. Visitors can enjoy quick service and diverse menu options for lunch or opt for dinner on Fridays and Sunday brunch.
Absolutely Outstanding! Our experience at Garden Grill was simply fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. Stephanie, our server, was absolutely adorable, her recommendations were on point, and her kindness and attentiveness made our visit even more special. We started with nachos to share, followed by ceviches, and I personally had a delicious burger. The portions were just perfect, generous but not overwhelming. The desserts were creative and beautifully presented, adding the perfect sweet touch to our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a clean and well-maintained environment that makes dining here a pleasure. Another great plus is the ample parking space, making it super convenient for all guests. What stood out the most was the incredible hospitality, everyone on the team was incredibly friendly and always smiling. It’s such a joy to be in a place where the staff truly enjoys what they do. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back regularly. Highly recommended!

Garden Grill is truly a gem! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make the dining experience enjoyable—attentive, friendly, and professional at every step. The food was absolutely outstanding—bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with the freshest ingredients. Every dish exceeded expectations and left me wanting to try more. Between the impeccable customer service, delicious cuisine, and cozy ambiance, this spot has everything you could want in a dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

ChatGPT mistakenly directed us to a restaurant that had closed, but that twist of fate led us to discover Garden Grill - and we couldn’t be more grateful. The service was warm and attentive, and the food? Absolutely top-notch, all at a surprisingly affordable price. The setting is another highlight: airy, open, and inviting, with a unique layout that houses two sister restaurants—Garden Grill and Gather steakhouse (opening in the evening) - on the same property. We were genuinely wowed. I only wish we had found this place earlier in our trip - we would have returned multiple times. Without question, this was the best meal we had in Antigua (and we tried quite a few spots!). Huge thanks to the team at Garden Grill for giving us the perfect final meal to end our visit on such a high note!

The team is pleasant and accommodating. The establishment is one of a peaceful ambiance and is always clean. It's one of my favorite restaurants on island. I take everyone there, for birthdays, anniversary, just because. You need to introduce a frequent customer card with benefits. Thank you.

OJ's Beach Bar and Restaurant, nestled in Crabb Hill, is a true representation of Antiguan culture and hospitality. Owned by the delightful couple Oliver and Angie, this establishment offers a genuine taste of local culinary traditions in a relaxing beachfront setting. The restaurant boasts stunning panoramic views of the neighboring islands and is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets.
This restaurant truly stands out! We’ve visited several times, and it never disappoints. The seafood chowder, seafood pasta, and cheeseburger were all incredible, delicious flavors, large portions, and a lot of seafood in the dishes!!! I really appreciated how they handled my dietary request to exclude onions, everything was prepared exactly as I asked. The service is fast and efficient, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place with great food, generous portions, and thoughtful service, this is the one!
Veronika L — Google review
OJ’s Beach Bar and Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with a beautiful beachfront setting. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with stunning ocean views. I had the fish, which was perfectly cooked—flaky, moist, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was just right, allowing the freshness of the fish to shine. The ribs were just as impressive—tender, juicy, and falling off the bone with a rich, smoky taste. Both dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. What really made the experience stand out was our waitress, Priscilla. She provided exceptional customer service, was knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations. A small but thoughtful touch was when she offered bug spray for the sand flies, which was incredibly helpful. It’s rare to find such attentive and proactive service. If you’re looking for great food, friendly service, and a stunning beachfront dining experience in Antigua, OJ’s is the place to be. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

Visited twice while on Antigua and really enjoyed this place. Service may seem iffy at first, but it's a cultural thing. Give good vibes and get good vibes! It's just a matter of engaging them to talk, be happy, share good energy & they light right up. We went both times midday, so it was quiet, but I bet this place rocks at night/weekend. Met mister OJ and such a nice guy, fortunate to have built an awesome beach bar restaurant!!!!

We had a stunning view of the sunset over the ocean while enjoying a dinner of fresh grilled lobster and red snapper. The service was very friendly and fun to talk to. Cocktails were 👍🏽👍🏽. And has enough food for leftovers to go.
Jennifer T — Google review
Rib is quite nice. Lobster salad is so so, was trying to figure out what makes it taste bitter and I believe it’s the cucumber. Portion isn’t big for the price, I had a much better lobster meal in the other restaurant. Steak is pretty bad, feels like it’s been defrosted and it’s not fresh. Music is great, environment is comfortable. Service is not very well as we waited 45 mins for food while it’s only 2 small groups of people came before us. I came here because it’s a pretty old and well known restaurant but I don’t think I will come back. Not recommended.
Bulubulu — Google review
I really like the setup of this restaurant. The vibe was nice and the different types of seating areas were nice as well. We had dinner here and chose to sit on the beach in the sand. It was also sunset so it was a lovely view. While we waited for dinner we played on the beach and had a blast with our kids. Dinner was good but it wasn’t great. I don’t think the quality of the food matched the price but I wanted to come and see for myself after reading the reviews. They messed up my order but I chose not to make a big deal about it. Our waitress Alicksia was THE BEST and the rum punch was amazing. It’s probably the best rum punch I have ever had. Overall we had a great time here, a few minor complaints, but still good times.
Lacey M — Google review
This was our very first meal during vacation in Antigua. Upon arrival for dinner we asked to sit close to the water but were told that section was closed. There was another family eating on that side already but we just said ok and sat to the right. Our waitress wasn’t really upbeat or welcoming. She didn’t smile or check on us often. After ordering our food we saw another couple come in and get sat to the left (water side) and then another couple. Thankfully the food was good. It did take a while to come out but we quickly learned that’s normal for almost every restaurant we visited. I got a chicken sandwich and my bf got a burger. The chicken was delicious, a large portion and very juicy. Fries weren’t cooked enough, hot but could have been crispier. Towards the end of the meal another lady (manager?) did come to check on us. She was very nice and upbeat. Overall, the food is really good. Service is a hit or miss.

Cloggy's is a popular outdoor restaurant located in English Harbour, offering stunning views of the harbor from its elevated deck. The menu features a diverse range of options, making it an ideal choice for groups with varying tastes. Dishes include Caribbean favorites like coconut prawns alongside international offerings such as Indonesian chicken satay and Aussie burgers. Situated at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina, this establishment provides classic Caribbean cuisine with a touch of global inspiration.
Outstanding experience. Great menu, service, location and overall ambience. Our go-to 3 out of 4 nights. Highly recommend it.
JC M — Google review
Cloggy’s the kind of place that effortlessly pulls you into the moment—the food, the atmosphere, the view—so much so that I completely forgot to take pictures (a rare sign that the experience was that good). Perched above the marina, the setting is stunning, with a laid-back, stylish Caribbean vibe. The cool breeze off the water, the sounds of clinking glasses and relaxed conversation, and the view of yachts swaying gently in the harbor—it all creates an ambiance that feels like a scene from a travel magazine. Now, the food. I had the chicken shoarma, and let me just say—it was absolutely on point. Tender, perfectly seasoned chicken, wrapped with fresh veggies and a creamy, tangy sauce that brought it all together. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and deeply satisfying. It wasn’t overly complicated, just really well done. The kind of dish that hits the spot and lingers in your memory. From start to finish, Cloggy’s delivered—great service, a beautiful setting, and food that speaks for itself. Next time, I’ll try to remember the photos… but honestly, it’s worth experiencing without a lens in the way. A must-visit when in Antigua!

We absolutely loved Cloggy’s. Apparently this is a new-ish location after a devastating fire at an its old site. Fear not - the new location is stunning. The food was just amazing - with freshly caught fish and even curry on the menu. The cocktails were exceptional. The team were so professional and so kind. We went twice and hope to go again should we be lucky enough to return to Antigua.

First time having dinner but it was a great evening. It is still off season so there were not a ridiculous amount of diners so we had literally all the servers checking on us from time to time. Food was great and service was prompt and efficient and friendly. We had three courses and a few drinks. Would highly recommend.
Shawn M — Google review
The burgers tender, juicy but were too tall to bite without looking awkward. They were pretty good. The rack of lamb looked exceptional. The piña colada was very coconut tasting but had very little alcoholic content. The views were GREAT. The bar was very active. We didn't have reservations (at 430pm) and were not able to sit on the expansive balcony despite the fact it was unoccupied when we arrived and only one couple was seated there during our 90 minute stay. The prices for burgers were slightly above average (in Antigua) $20-25USD.

I went to Cloggy's for my birthday brunch and it was lovely. I enjoyed the food and the views. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I had to get a takeaway bag which I inadvertently left on the table but one of the waiters who served us, handed it to me when I went up the stairs to look for it. I cant wait to return.

Very tasty and authentic French food. I've just had the best Escargot 🐌and my main was cooked to perfection as well. We were told it is French restaurant but more like Italian. Very slow service as only one main waitress might also be the owner. The pizza was mediocre. Not enough tomatoes sauce and came lukewarm on the table. Lots of customers waiting. Live band was good. We cancelled dessert as we didn’t want to wait. Escargot was good tho. Taxiboat provided was also good.

A Hidden Treasure. Awesome experience!!! A typical French restaurant with lot of French plates owned by a couple of French people who are very kind and welcoming. Everything was delicious particularly those desserts 😋:chocolate mousse , profiteroles, raspberry pie, tarte tartin( apple pie). I recommend the seared fish, and the nicoise salad :so good. Lot of taste. All is homemade. On the water front with a beautiful view. We will come back.

Wonderful lunch at Cutie's. Had the crab cakes appetizer which came with delightful greens salad. Tartar sauce had a bit of a zing from red pepper flakes. Chicken sandwich was very good on a nice bun, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Sides were cole slaw and a cute basket of fries.

Great restaurant with fresh local flavours and an extensive menu. Really pretty and the staff are nice. The portion sizes are huge and the meals are full of vegetables which is so tasty. The only problem was the music was so loud we could barely hear each other talk. I had Jerk snapper and highly highly recommend- you get a whole fish!

My husband and I visited Cuties for Sunday brunch. They didn't disappoint! Although a bit crowded, we were seated within 2 minutes of arriving. Our server was pleasant and answered our questions about the menu and made very good suggestions. We got our food with 20 minutes of ordering. I thought that was good despite the crowd. We had omelette with bacon and French toast with eggs and chicken breast. I had a coffee with baileys and it was fabulous! The price was reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will return! Update: I returned about a week ago with a girlfriend of mine. On this occasion, the food took longer than I would have liked - about 40 minutes! Despite this, the food was excellent! I induged in French toast, omelette, bacon and friend chicken. My friend had the Antiguan local breakfast and added sausages. The service was still to the standard despite the many customers. We both had multiple drinks as well. Our total was around $152.00 EC. I will return!

Maybe my favorite spot on the island. Gorgeous with friendly staff and incredible decor and vibes. Competent efficient and lovely. They've perfectly woven upscale old world hospitality vibes through the historic ruins and perfectly manicured tropical foliage in a way that would already be perfect without the gorgeous harbour views and refreshing indoor cross breeze. There's no better place to kick up your feet, meet some new friends or have a quiet moment with your partner.

Nestled on one of Antigua's most stunning beaches with a view of the Caribbean Sea and Montserrat, Jacqui O's Beach House offers a secluded and picturesque escape. The restaurant bar boasts a relaxed atmosphere, rustic chic interiors, and modern French cuisine along with refreshing cocktails. Whether you choose to lounge in hammocks under the sun or relax in the beach club-style gazebo lounge, this iconic spot provides an unforgettable experience.
Jacqui O's is an absolutely stunning location and the staff are incredibly friendly if you can get past the Englishman who works there and approaches you with negativity as soon as you arrive. The main woman who runs the beach house is incredibly hospitable, as are the rest of the staff who will periodically check in on you during your visit to check if you need anything. The food is stunning (they will do all they can to cater to dietary requirements), they do all they can to cater to both adults and children, including kids toys for the beach Jacqui O's will without doubt be on our list of places to visit when we return to Antigua in 2022!!

Stopped by for an afternoon cocktail and appetizer! I was recommended the mango mojito with Prosecco and the duck rolls! Which I honestly loved both of them! This view is such a killer view!!! The beach that this restaurant sits on its neighbor to (Darkwood Beach) my favorite beach on the island! Only complaint I suppose was that to have a beach cabana it is 45 dollar US which I think is a bit much :( I would have liked to use one after being a customer. I do think the prices were a little overpriced, however the quality was great
Amy S — Google review
Probably the best restaurant in Antigua, come in the afternoon for the beach with gentle waves and loungers, have cocktails brought to you and stay for the incredible sunset, then afterward walk 50 feet back up for a terrific dinner. More fresh seafood than other restaurants on the island, a bartender that invents the most delicious drinks, a staff and decor that only enhances your experience, and a wonderful European spin on island food, all in a quiet spot right on the beach.
Brian G — Google review
Phenomenal. The food is truly five star, the staff deserve even more. David makes the best original infusion drinks this side of the world. Lance is a pleasure. The beach and the beds are the icing on the cake here... This really is the best Antigua had to offer. Not to be missed and will with the price.
J M — Google review
Great spot on the beach. Lance is super friendly and welcoming. We sat on the beach all day and had cocktails. Super friendly staff. They don’t do food at the moment but it was a great day.

Wonderful experience with the big beds on the beach. Very comfortable and had it for 10 US . Food is delicious although I think they shouldn't be serving Parrot fish. Great location. Highly recommend.

We came here for the last night of our vacay and I can honestly say this is the best spot we visited in Antigua..the whole staff and owner were exceptional..the food was exceptional....and the ambiance by the beach was the perfect topper.

Cocktail bar
Ana's On The Beach is a picturesque beachside restaurant offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and lush greenery. Guests can dine outdoors on the verandah or in the climate-controlled orchid room, enjoying Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisine such as tenderloin with cognac, Neptunes seafood, and Barbuda Lobster. The restaurant also features an art gallery and air-conditioned beachfront cabanas for a luxurious experience.
Ana’s On The Beach is an absolute gem! The staff are truly incredible — so kind, welcoming, and honest. My partner accidentally left his phone there without realizing, and when we came back two days later on a hunch, they had kept it safe for us. We were blown away by their honesty and hospitality. The food is honestly 10/10. I had the shrimp coconut curry, and it was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had. The coconut shrimp starter? I haven’t stopped thinking about it since — it was that good! To top it all off, the bar is right on a stunning stretch of beach at Dickinson’s Bay, making the whole experience even more special. If you’re in the area, Ana’s is a must-visit!
V G — Google review
I ordered a seafood sampler that is supposed to be consists of squid, shrimp and fish. There was no fish, the squid is really rubbery and the shrimp is just alright. The food was fried longer that it should. I should have listened to my gut after reading reviews on here. Definitely don’t recommend.
Em G — Google review
The food was great and flavorful. The music and vibes were on point and we enjoyed ourselves, however the service is very slow.
N R — Google review
Classic older property and option to have feet in the sand while dining. Of the 5 different places we've tried fried calamari, this was our favorite. We ordered the Restaurant Week prix fixe 3 course lunch. My Caribbean Jerk Chicken plate and also hubby's Carbonara were very good. The menu has a full page of lobster dishes but, alas, it is not legal to serve lobster in May (a 3 month rest for mating season). Will certainly return next visit!
Danielle H — Google review
My last two times at Ana’s was not very good. You can definitely tell when Ana is nit there!! Served the scrappy bits from the bottom of the shop bought fries and the last time the bar person told me I should be smoking the “good weed” instead of cigarettes!!!
Pepa R — Google review
None of the food was really that great. They were out of a lot of things so that was weird? They used store bought shells for tacos. There was undressed salad on almost every plate. The chicken wings and fish curry were okay. The arepas was soggy. The drinks were strong and that was the only highlight. They charge a fee to be there and we paid for chairs to be able to lay on the beach. We needed up spending about $160 in American dollars for the whole experience. Four items of food, three drinks, their fee to be there plus abst and service charge and we paid for four chairs as we were there with another couple plus we tipped because they were actually decent on service. Overall, the food is definitely not worth it and I don’t think we’d go back. We’d try to find another beach area but this is where our taxi took us too when we asked to go to this particular beach.
Kaylea C — Google review
We came here a couple times for dinner and both time it seems like we are the only one there . Just a couple of tables occupied . So we were hesitant everytime to come here knowing food might both be fresh as expected. The staffs was nice in general . But food could need a little more improvement. The fried snapper could have prepared a little better. But we just want to come here and support the local businesses hoping they improve next time .
Vu T — Google review
The food and drinks here are delicious. The staff were attentive and our drinks and food came out quickly. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and I enjoyed the outdoor seating. The sunset views were amazing! This was a great dinner experience.

Caribbean restaurant
Roti King is a delightful culinary gem located in St. John's, Antigua, where the vibrant flavors of Caribbean cuisine come to life. This eatery specializes in Roti, a delicious dish featuring curried fillings such as beef, chicken, shrimp, conch, or vegetables enveloped in soft chapatti skins—available in both plain white and whole-wheat options.
Here in Antigua for the first time. Heard about Roti King from my wife, who reminisced about the days she visited her grandparents here on the island. The place did not disappoint! The place was packed when we showed up and the servers came to us took our order and sat us outside. After a pleasant wait our food arrived and it was absolutely 💯 amazing. It was so good we ordered the same Rotis to go. My wife and I ate the Channa and Potatoes on wheat Roti, my young adults ate chicken Roti. We'll be back!
R P — Google review
Another local spot in St.Johns, that is frequented by locals and tourists. The menu is varied and you can order chicken, beef, veggie, shrimp and conch rotis (think also pork). Doubles and phulourie/pholourie/phoulourie (included every spelling variation so as not to offend anyone lol) are also other favourites on the menu. I ordered the chicken roti (with a side of plantain) which was fresh and hot. It was a really decent size (huge in fact). My only minor complaint is that the roti didn't have enough gravy. So it was very dense. Just make sure you order one of their local juices to help wash it down. Overall, I'd happily recommend and go back there again.
Serendipity L — Google review
Would highly recommend making Roti King a must visit destination for lunch during your trip to Antigua. This was my 3rd time to this restaurant over the years and it never disappoints. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. It is very busy with locals which is always a great sign. We went with friends for lunch and were really hyping up the fact this would be the best meal of our trip and it was. I went with a double and the lobster roti. Both were exceptional, great flavour and complimented each other. The hot sauce is a must for both of these dishes. Great taste of Trinidad right in St. John's. Next time I'm back in Antigua I will be back.
Jay E — Google review
Chicken roti/shrimp roti were both 10/10. We added the hot sauce and a side of plantains with the tamarind sauce. So good.
Casey — Google review
Hot outside but worth it. Lovely Roti's and they serve the local drink, sea moss.
Gareth P — Google review
Food was real good. Service was great. I ordered the chicken roti with everything on it. Roti was fresh , chicken was tender, the tamarind sauce made it even better. Can't go wrong ordering food here. Definitely recommended. Saving this as a regular destination when I visit Antigua again.

Magic rotis. Tastes of Caribbean hibernian goodness. Awarding pat stanton level

I enjoyed the Chana Doubles. The chana doubles here are savory, sweet, and a little spicy. I don't know if that's how authentic doubles should taste, however I enjoyed it and would get more in the future.

I had my first and (unfortunately) last experience at this restaurant this afternoon. Our waitresses "K,O & V" were extremely sweet, attentive, and polite, never too far but never too close. The food was divine. I've been in Antigua for the past two years, and sincerely regret the fact that I just discovered this place. All in all, 1000% recommended. BeachLimerZ is a locally-owned bistro that offers a laid-back beach ambiance, providing an authentic Antiguan experience just steps away from the Caribbean sands near Fort James. The restaurant's stilted structure and local artisan-crafted copper light fittings create a breezy, relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy live music performances while savoring a menu filled with delectable dishes and cocktails as they take in the stunning sunset views.
Gem of a restaurant and bar that is tucked at the end of Fort James Beach Extraordinary views Our waitress was fantastic! And the food really good - I especially liked their pumpkin and ginger soup and the grilled whole snapper, my husband loved the conch fritters

BeachLimerz is a MUST visit when on the island. Outstanding local cuisine, tasty drinks, a beautiful view, excellent service and live music at times.

I came here on vacation with a friend and the experience was amazing! The curry goat I ordered was the best I’ve ever had. It was hot - the perfect temperature. My friend ordered salmon and it was tasty but a bit over cooked. The drinks were also delicious. I ordered the rum punch and my friend ordered the old fashion rum punch. Both tasted great! There was also great music the entire time and I loved hearing the sound of the beach waves nearby since we came at night. I definitely recommend.

One of our best nights on the island! Popped in for food and a few drinks, amazing setting right on the beach. Good food and very good cocktails then live music... The LCD band was incredible, starting with chilled Caribbean vibes ending in full party mode. Fantastic night!
Rachel — Google review
The atmosphere and the view are really nice. Very good and quiet spot. Roti and curry goat are a must-try! Was delicious! Jambalaya was alright. Chicken spicy wings were excellent. We had a few "bad attitude" cocktails and margaritas; they were fine but not strong enough. The place is overpriced but friendly.
Iryna K — Google review
Great restaurant on the beach. They have a good selection of items on the menu. The prices are mid range. The service is friendly and welcoming. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The fungee balls were new to me and were delicious. My friend and I opted to come back again a few days later when we were in the area to enjoy some drinks. Overall worth a visit.
Rochelle H — Google review
I think the reviews do not entirely reflect the beauty of this place. We arrived for the sunset and we had a couple of drinks. The atmosphere is unique and quite romantic.. We decided to stop for dinner and we ordered two lobsters which were absolutely great in quality! BeachLimerz is totally worth it!
Stella — Google review
Expensive food and drinks for what you get. We ordered an old fashioned rum punch, a mai tai, a Carib, two conch fritters, the curried conch with rice, french fries and a salad. The fritters and curry had very little conch in them. Very small portions and the drinks were just okay. There is a 10% service charge automatically added to the bill which is stated on the menu. Also, swarms of biting insects invaded at dusk. I don't understand the positive reviews.

Meanwhile, Ristorante Paparazzi offers an authentic Italian dining experience with an extensive menu and carefully curated wine list.
We really enjoyed! Real oven-fired pizza, delicious. We had the ham and pineapple one night (don’t judge, it was great!), and returned on our last night and tried the jerk chicken pizza, both excellent. Pitcher of sangria was perfect and had me glad we were walking! Great music, friendly staff. I’m not great with really spicy food, staff were super accommodating offering to have the chef go easy on the jerk. Sorry, no pics of the pizza itself, we ate before we remembered…

I’d give 5 stars if the pizza came earlier than expected. We waited about an hr and pizza didn’t come to our table. We walked out obviously v unhappy customers. Boss and staff accommodated us with apologies and took all complaints professionally. Thank u for looking after us well. Staff were great and pizza were delicious 👍

Literally couldn’t leave the house but was starving; it’s PPT ‘Paparazzi Pizza Time’! Yeap even delivered by taxi, a nice Pepperoni with mixed salad, simple but tasted good.
Rochelle ( — Google review
Great pizza but service charge is already included in the bill so I find it a bit gross when the waiter pushes for an extra tip at the payment terminal and acts offended when he doesn’t get it. Add the service charge to the bill or let the client decide but please don’t expect both.
Kevin H — Google review
Service was good. Ambiance still nice. I like the fact that the kitchen closes late. Cocktails were ridiculously overpriced and I was able to literally COUNT the number of shrimp on a 10" pie. 5 shrimp which is less than one shrimp per slice. Very disappointing. The other pies were better. I MAY return after much contemplation.

What a wonderful spot. Fantastic delicious pizza 🍕 many locals come here. We had a reservation and would recommend it. The place was full! The pizzas are absolutely amazing. The pizzay come personal size, but they are generous portions. We had leftovers for the next day. Great staff and owners. Our firends have met them a week before. We are so impressed we are going back! Great bar tenders. Very accommodating. We loved it. Of you are in English harbor, you should eat here at least once.

One of the better pizzas I've ever eaten! Base was great, topping were fresh. Tomato sauce base was just right. Quick service, reasonable price for where it is. Wish I was here another night so I could take one away with me! It is very loud on a Saturday night though - don't expect to be able to have a conversation. Maybe during the week it's a but quieter.

Very fresh, incredible Italian food! The view is stunning. It’s a small restaurant with about 8 tables. The tuna and pork were both great and very fresh. The caprese salad made me feel like we were in Italy. I highly recommend going to Stella’s! When we went, it was cash only.

A husband and wife team run this amazing treetop restaurant.Karen is from the UK originally and Flavio from Italy. She is in the front of the house and Flavio is the chef in a cool little outside kitchen. They also have a woman named Lady behind the bar. She is also just as amazing. The food was prepared on the spot and used local fish that was caught that day. We had a marlin starter and smoked pork and tuna steak for our dinners. Delicious!!! A bit cloudy for the sunset the evening we went but the ambience made up for that. You feel as if you are part of their family. We have already planned our next meal there and we are going to try some of Flavio's pasta dishes! Their hours as of now are Monday through Saturday. 5:00-10:00 pm Closed on Sundays Reservations required

For You to understand the severe nature of this post, I would like to preface by saying that I have never written nor have I posted a food review in my 29 years on Gods earth. But for Bay House I will make an exception. I paid THIRTY NINE EASTERN CARIBBEAN DOLLARS for the salad on the left. That salad was from Bay House. I have no idea whether it is chicken or fish. I have nearly finished my meal. It was supposed to be a chicken Caesar salad. Why is a random nacho on the top of my salad? Avoid this place like the plague! The bottom right picture is a chicken taco salad bowl from El Taco Loco which cost me 29 dollars. Just save yourself the headache and go there instead

We visited on a Thursday night, with only a few other tables in attendance. Service was very slow from the start despite there being staff on hand. Food options weren't all there unfortunately. Wait time was the killer here. The restaurant was nearly empty and still took over 1 hr a half to get our meal. However the food was very tasty and the staff were friendly too. I had a curry creamy seafood pasta. I did not enjoy my cocktail but would return to try other food. My friend had the ribs which was also tender and delicious.

Island Fusion Café is a restaurant that blends international and afro-caribbean dishes. The menu includes traditional Antiguan dishes like flavorsome curried goat, as well as whole fried fish, buffalo wings and pizza. This restaurant is perfect for those who want to enjoy the beautiful view of Falmouth Harbour while they eat.
This place has an amazing view of the yachts in the harbor, and even better food! Come during lunch when it's not too busy and Sandra will treat you incredibly well. Prices are very reasonable, and it's the best service I've received on the island on my entire trip. I had the coconut curry red snapper, which was cooked perfectly and had delicious sides. Be aware the restaurant is inside the entrance to the yacht / sailing club, so you won't see it from the street if you're driving. Absolutely worth the trip!

Fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Ask for the Caribbean menu for a real taste of island life. Also ask for their hot sauce, which is scratch made packs a ton of flavor with a healthy spice. Great view where you can actually watch the rain approach across the water. And that doesn't even start with the friendly and attentive staff.

The best food in the English Harbor area - hands down! We haven’t been for breakfast (though Bar-B’s has a good breakfast too), but we came for lunch when many places weren’t open and we caught them before closing. Well worth it!! The food was delicious!! We had the jerk chicken. And the bread they serve with the meal - DELICIOUS! I’m really on here bragging about bread, but it was that good. Everything was so well seasoned, the staff was friendly, and it’s owned by a local woman who also is the chef. And make sure you sit in the back near the water! It was a perfect lunch. Highly, highly recommend if you’re looking for good food. I promise you won’t regret it.

Absolutely loved this place. It's located inside the National Sailing Academy at English Harbor, so I don't think the foot traffic does it justice. Just a short walk from the yacht club, and well worth it. In the short week we were anchored in the area, we ate there 4-5 times and highly enjoyed every meal. The jerk chicken, jerk pork, goat curry, crab cakes, and whole snapper escovitch were all so full of flavor, very well cooked, and beautifully presented. Sandra (the owner) is a gem, so friendly, and knows her craft. If I get the chance to return to the island, I will definitely be returning here.

Sometimes, you need to leave your comfort zone to find yourself and other amazing people in this world. While in Antigua for a few trips, I left my normal stomping grounds and decided to walk to a place I found online. The pictures looked amazing online and I was excited finally have good local food. The walk was a bit longer than I planned. Watching out for traffic was the fun part of the walk so take your time and find the "best" sidewalk you can. You will find a yard for sailing, diving a small local lodge and this local place. So lets start our Island Bum Life review. This a a true review from a tourist trying to not feel out of place. I walked into a wooden small building painted a Caribbean color that made me feel like this is where I was suppose to be. I was greeted by a nice young lady who excepted my goofy sense of humor as trying to break the ice and she played along. I asked where should I sit and she said I will sit you out back. ( I didn't know there was an out back). But before going she broke the ice with the question I love to hear...would you like a drink. My normal answer is what do I need to have. A local rum punch was the response and so we became friends. then we joked around with my dad sense of humor and she laughed at my corny jokes. When the decision time came I asked what I had to have. The coconut curry lobster I was told. I asked if it was local and I was told just caught and made today. I ran with what I was hoping to finally be a good local meal. I was wrong. It was amazing not just good. Out of all my travels it makes the top ten list. I love it when a local place with local friendly people go out of their way to meet you and make sure you have an experience and give you real local food that is amazing. Then I met the chef... and she is more than that word describes. A great life story, born to do what she does and loves to make peoples day by the one thing that is universal, amazing food. So leave your comfort zone. Laugh on your way, enjoy the people working with you to make your experience more than you can image and please please please, on the way out stop and give the amazing lady who started it all a hug. So if you ask me how do I recommend this restaurant. I recommend it as a soul changing experience if you open yourself too it. go for it. ...Food is made with love and care and it 5 star restaurant quality, and the people are just as good. This is what you have been looking for and I have spent many a meal at Michelin rated restaurants. islandbumlife.com we are not affiliated with any local person or place or receive any favors for reviews. Breakfast was Excellent! Chef waited for me to arrive after breakfast and made me the best omelet I've ever had in my life. On top of a beautiful view. This place is a must see whenever I return to Antigua💕

We felt welcome and well cared for here. The food was far better than typical Caribbean fare and the portions generous. Drinks were creative with balanced flavors. You will pay a little more than you might be used and it's worth it.

We absolutely loved this place! The music and fun vibe pulled us in. Sat up at the bar and had great service and amazing food! Chicken was juicy and had a nice kick to it and all the sides were so yummy! Rum punches were delicious too. Amanda, the owner, was terrific. We are looking forward to returning during our next trip!

One of my favorite places in Antigua. Special deals every day of the week. The char and spices on the chicken was perfect. The salad and light salad dressing paired well with the chicken and ribs. Either make a reservation or show up close to when the restaurant opens.

It was a really busy night and we didn't have reservations but they accommodated our party of 4. Food came out in good time and it was delicious. That night was Ribs Night so we had 1.2lbs of ribs each. Yum.

Unexpected great place. Found them accidently walking through paid attention on grilled chicken. Amazing dishes, great serving, big in size, good prices, friendly and caring staff, variety of alcoholic cocktails, beers and nice coconut crush. Mostly should be reserved in advance but we were lucky to get there without it. Ordered beer and coconut crush, half chicken in hot peri-peri sauce, medium rare beef barbecue served on plate with hanging hook. We were so full this evening. It cost us 168 caribbean $ ( about 60 usd). Cards are only Visa or Mastercard. SouthAfrican guys were nice and very attentive. Regreted that did not try their lobsters which looked so yummy on neighbor's table.

If you want some good, authentic food, Flatties is a must. Outdoor space is perfect, right across the street from the marina. Food is fall of the bone good, literally. It was recommended to us by a local, we are truly fans now. If you are visiting the area and don’t stop in, you are missing out. We will be back to the island in November and Flatties is definitely on the list!

The Fox House Bar & Restaurant is a waterfront establishment in Jolly Harbour, Antigua, offering a stylish and contemporary dining experience. It serves authentic Italian cuisine including freshly prepared pizza, pasta, steaks, lobster, and fish. The restaurant has garnered positive reviews for its lovely food and service. With its prime location on the water front, The Fox House Bar & Restaurant provides a great quality dining experience with picturesque views of the surroundings.
We had a fantastic meal at The Fox House Bar & Restaurant. The waiters were extremely friendly and welcomed us in, gave us good recommendations on the food & gave us good advice us on where to visit on the island. I would rate the food more than 5 stars if I could, everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! We had a member of our party that was gluten free and the menu offers great gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options. They even brought out a replacement gluten free option to the bread they gave us. Would definitely recommend, one of the best restaurants on the island.

After 2 weeks of research on the best restaurants in Antigua, searching all kinds of forums and groups, we decided to spend a luxurious night out at the Fox House. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the servers, got huge smiles, and shown to our table quickly. It had just rained and my dress was mostly damp. I was given some paper towels to help dry it and they offered to put a candle below our table to deter any insects. They also had big spray at the front if needed! We ordered handmade cocktails, the lobster, black pineapple pork chop, and the "jamaican lollipops" which were chicken drumsticks with some of the best in-house bbq I've ever had. Also - my husband cannot have bottled bbq due to Crohns, so he hadn't had any in 4 years, and he decided to give it a try... since it was truly handmade sauce, he had no issues - he really enjoyed it! The servers did a great job of answering menu and ingredient questions. The lobster was easy to eat, it was pulled out of the shell for me, with lemon on the side if wanted. The vegetables were perfectly cut and prepared. The fried plantains were crispy and had amazing flavor. I am a chef back home, so I was impressed with the presentation and the different sauces we got to sample. For dessert, I had a glass of red wine and we shared the chocolate torte. (I came home and made another because of it.) I spoke with the owner and complimented her on the design of the patio and the decor chosen. She explained how she discovered this building, and made the place into her dream to serve and welcome visitors. I have renovated two homes, and it's clear to me that she had worked very hard to make this restaurant what it is today. She takes a lot of pride in the food, service, and the atmosphere. All of the staff was genuine, warm, welcoming, and gave us a dinner that we will not forget for quite some time. Thank you so much for everything! I was really happy to be welcomed so warmly. We will be back!

What an amazing night! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were a part of the family! The cocktails were incredible, the food was out of this world, and the service was untouchable. The Fox House team was so kind and thoughtful. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there, not only did we get a special after dinner drink but they had the DJ play our wedding song for us to dance to! By far one of our more memorable moments together (that's saying a lot since we have been together almost 19 years!) and we loved it so much we are going back before we head home. Thank you for an incredible and unforgettable evening!
Tonya H — Google review
While the music and vibes at Fox House were lovely and the scenery was undeniably beautiful, the service was incredibly disappointing—by far the worst I’ve experienced in all my travels. From the moment we sat down, the service felt off. We waited nearly four hours to receive our food, which was frustrating considering we had other plans and ended up having to rush through our meal. After such a long wait, the food wasn’t even worth it—my lobster was overcooked and inedible. To make matters worse, the staff’s attitude was dismissive. Our waitress brought out bread and butter, and although there were three of us seated, she brought four rolls—then used her bare hand to remove one and said someone else could have it, instead of just leaving it at the table. It felt careless and unsanitary. Overall, we were treated as if we weren’t paying top dollar for our meals. As someone who travels internationally and dines out often, this stands out as one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Fox House to any traveler. The ambiance may draw you in, but the lack of professionalism, extreme wait times, and poor food quality will leave you extremely disappointed.
Amanda J — Google review
The most unpleasant dining experience I had during my holiday in Antigua. Started off well & was shown to a table, where this young waitress thoughtfully lit a citronella candle to deter mosquitoes. It was all downhill from here. An older dark skinned woman started to take the food order with as much distaste as she could muster. After she came back with the drinks order, she returned to throw the bread rolls on the table, they nearly jumped off the plate! I could only watch in horror! The starter was very average in taste and presentation, nothing special at all. Then a wait of forty-five minutes for the mains, and without any explanation or apologies. By now, I couldn't wait to leave as I could see this same dark skinned older waitress treating other diners more favourably. How she was selected to work in hospitality, I'll never know! Dessert finally came, again very sub par and not worth eating nor mentioning. Finally time to settle the bill and a large red skinned woman was at the till and muttering away under her breath. She explained she could only take cash. So, I paid in US dollars, tell me why she gave me my change with an EC $5 dollar bill?! No explanation at all. I queried why she had done this. Do you know she replied "We don't have any more US dollars, take it or leave it!" Imagine, I'm a paying customer and this is how I was treated. I would recommend that you all take your hard earned cash and spend it in one of the other beautiful restaurants in Antigua. AVOID eating here at all costs!!!

Our final dinner on Antigua and it was a perfect ending. Love that they have a shuttle to the restaurant. It’s a fine dining experience with service to match. The lobster was great, as were the pork crisps and salt fish fritters. But the true standout was the curried shrimp. I could eat that every day. A call out to Pablo, Zoe and the entire team for providing a lovely experience and outstanding food.

Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere ✨️ The staff were welcoming, professional, and very attentive. The food was amazing, from starters through to dessert. The jazz vibes (which became live music a little later) were a much appreciated and welcome touch of class. Visited with my mum, and we both loved it. Caribbean Taste is a popular restaurant located in English Harbour, offering a true taste of the Caribbean. The restaurant is known for its authentic Antiguan and Caribbean dishes made with fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, and spices. Visitors can enjoy specialties like ducana, chicken and conch roti, goat curry, and conch salad. The restaurant also hosts a famous Sunday afternoon barbecue party featuring Caribbean-flavored live music and English Harbour rum punch.
Off the main road in English Harbour, sitting all by itself is a wonderful little gem of a place serving some traditional caribbean food. Looking over the hand written menu on the chalkboard, it all looked so good that I had no clue where to start. So the first time I just asked for a recommendation and it was delicious. It was goat curry with fungi. The quaint little restaurant had both seating outside and inside. There was a nice cool breeze, so outside was the place to be. Just a small little family type run establishment not serving anything fancy, just decent, quality local meals, all of which were delicious. I had to have a crab cake on almost every visit, even though it was a bit pricey. The taste was just that good. Jerk conch was another favourite. I also tried the jerk chicken which was very different than what I was expecting (thinking of roadside jerk chicken stands). Nonetheless, delicious. During a slow time, speaking with one of the person running the place, you could tell she really had pride in her work and was really down to earth type of person. It wasn't just a business to make money, it was love of creating and sharing the wonderful food. This is definitely well worth taking a quick detour off the main road!
Hobo T — Google review
What a delicious evening meal! I had the jerk conch and my partner had the beef ribs. I had never had conch before and I was impressed - it was slightly chewy and then melted in my mouth, and the jerk spice complimented it perfectly. We were also given complimentary bread to start. The couple who runs this restaurant clearly cares about hospitality and they have a lovely restaurant here. Thank you for a great experience!

We stopped here for lunch during a visit in English Harbour. Excellent local eatery serving local Caribbean and Antiguan cuisine. It is located a block away from the main street. The server/owner(?) was very friendly and helpful with our questions of the menu. Prices were excellent as we were used to paying higher prices at more touristy locations. We ordered the local lunch (fungee and ducana, the national dish of Antigua), stew beef and fresh juices (gooseberry, tamarind, passionfruit) and it tasted delicious!
Bruce L — Google review
Tucked away on a side street away from the other businesses, this place is a local gem. The owners are very nice and hospitable and love children. The food is delicious. Everything is handwritten and freshly made for you. We enjoyed every bite of our octopus ceviche, the crab cake, jerk conch and goat curry. All sides were delicious. All food is made with love and I would Highly recommend this local Caribbean gem.
Ma — Google review
We're staying in the area and wanted a authentic Caribbean experience, I was most excited to try ducana but wasn't seeing it on the menu of other restaurants nearby. Luckily, we stumbled upon Caribbean Taste and were blown away. We tried the chicken and conch roti, ducana dish, goat curry, and conch salad dishes. All were outstanding, the roti filling was flavorful, piping hot and the dough was a perfect texture. We loved it so much the first time, we came back the next day to try more- and we will be back again! All paired perfectly with local passionfruit juice. The people working were friendly and helped us navigate the menu (and not over order)

Visited restaurant to taste the local Antiguan National dish of Fungee and Ducana. I can't say if it is the best on the island because it is the first time I am eating this dish. It is very tasty. Top notch! Be SURE to ask for the hot sause whether you like hot sause or not. Just take a small taste!
Esmond B — Google review
The level of service and hospitality at Caribbean Taste is truly of the charts. This little gem is somewhat hidden and Google maps was having difficulty finding it. One of the staff actually came out to the main road and directed us in. Beyond the food, just as a taste of the vibe that Caribbean people are known for, Caribbean Taste cannot be beat. And then there's the food. We had crab cakes and curried goat, all of which was excellent. We have eaten at higher prices places close by that cannot hold a candle to the food quality here. If you like some spice in your life ask them for some of their in house hot sauce, which packs a satisfying kick that isn't overwhelming but cookies up with great flavor.

We started with the calalou soup and lobster bisque. Wow, what a treat! We then moved on to the jerk conch and curry goat. What a wonderful meal to share together. The eggplant cake was an unexpected joy to the pallet. We were very happy to see their signs and follow the arrows, well worth the trek off the beaten path, well worth it!

We went on a weekday and there were about 15 people in the restaurant. We could not get any service unless we went to the bar, and it took over an hour to get a cheeseburger and 2 fish burgers. The fish on the fish burger was very small with a few fries and very expensive for what you got. The drinks were also weak and service was terrible! It’s right on the beach so the view was beautiful, but be prepared to stay a couple hours if you go.
Gina — Google review
We went on Monday. You have to remember it’s Caribbean time, the food is cooked fresh to order and they close when the last person leaves. The location and views are there to be enjoyed with a nice cold drink while the chef cooks your order. What’s the rush, Caribbean holidays are all about chilling so not a problem. Drinks I went up to the bar to get ours. We had the burgers which were really nice and reasonably priced at 30EC each, Carib’s were 10EC each. One thing that surprised us was the price of the salads. A Greek salad was 50EC only 10EC less than Catherines up the other end of the beach. Overall nice.

What a delightful and friendly place this is. Can’t help give it 4 stars for that. Nice 70’s vibe going on. Food was okay, ish, missus complained that fries were cooked in old fat. Service slow at best. Maybe that’s the way it is here?

We’ve had a few fish burgers on the island but this was the least tasty. The fish was a small portion compared to the bun size and it didn’t have any juiciness (see picture below). Also, we felt a lack of service at this beach bar.

Do not go here. The views are great and the price is cheap, but the food and service is horrible. The portions are small, the food is overcooked and unflavored, and the service is the worst on the island. I got a Mahi burger and fries and my wife got a Greek salad and it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food after ordering. I will never go back here.

Darkwood Beach is a slice of paradise in Antigua. The water is as calm. Perfect for a soothing swim. The sand is a dream under your feet, white, fine, and impossibly soft, like powdered sugar. The drinks are refreshing & delicious, while the staff makes you feel right at home with their warmth and great service. It's an experience that encapsulates the best of island life. Come here in the evening to enjoy the sunset. It’s breathtaking.

Quiet when visited and spent 5 hours at the beach, enjoyed Talapia fish burger and the lobster sub both served with chips. The fish burger was extremely good and the sub had a nice amount of lobster. We found the staff to be very friendly and knowledge on any food queries. Shout out to Steven who looked after us! 3 bottles of beer, cocktail, and mocktail, food as mentioned, 2 loungers/umbrella inc service GBP 70.00. This bar has received mixed reviews unfairly in my opinion, maybe due to sheer numbers of people visiting during high season and creating a knock on effect for food wait times. Parking areas available.

Nestled in the heart of St. John's Parish, Nomad Restaurant is a delightful haven that invites you to unwind and savor every moment. With its enchanting ambiance and breezy atmosphere, it sets the perfect stage for romantic dinners or special celebrations. My previous review is edited as I have been pleased with the dining experience. Consistency have been met on the last 3 visits and the ambience is great to unwind. There are options for indoor (regular, lounge, bar) or outdoor experience. Price is more suited for middle income earners. Special mention to Elijah and a female bar tender, on high customer service standards

Very good dining experience! Special shoutout to Elijah Peters for being such an excellent, efficient, congenial and attentive host! I visited a week ago with a dear friend and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The ambience was just right, the decor was perfect for the vibe and environment. This is a hidden gem! The food was amazing (black clams and mussels, and pork chop) and the service is the best we've had on the island so far - super kind and attentive. 100% recommend

This restaurant has a swanky, rustic, modern vibe. Jazzy music plays through the speakers and sets the ambience for a nice brunch or dinner. I ordered a lamb burger $17 U.S. currency with a side of sweet potato fries (which I didn’t take a picture). The lamb I ordered was suppose to be medium and came out well done and was totally dry for the price. My table mate ordered a beef burger well done and her’s came out medium. The service is pretty slow for a Monday afternoon with not many customers. Only saw our waitress 2 times had to flag her down to order any additional items. We rented a hot desk located upstairs to study, while there were more paying clientele on the 2nd floor you would think service may have been more attentive. Also, there is a conference room for meetings or office parties to rent alongside hot desks for a variations of prices depending the hours it’s utilized; and if you consume the unlimited coffee, hot tea and filtered water you will pay an additional fee. Overall, Karine, the owner has setup a nice environment to study, work and dine for a modest price.

Phenomenal food and ambiance— this was hands-down the best restaurant we ate at in Antigua. To top it off, the service is top-notch, the food comes quickly (compared to other places), and the waiters and waitresses are SO KIND! Beautiful presentation and amalgamation of flavors. We highly recommend the lobster taco, teriyaki salmon, Baja fish tacos, grilled Wahoo, yellowfin tuna, and the honey chicken. The apple and Gorgonzola salad and bacon wrapped scallops were incredible appetizers. GO HERE!! You will not regret it.

Rokuni is, without a doubt, the best Asian restaurant in Antigua. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the ambiance is both elegant and relaxed. The decor is beautiful modern, tropical, and sophisticated creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re visiting the island or live here, Rokuni is a must for anyone who loves great Asian cuisine. We’ll definitely be coming back often!

Very pleased to finally make it to Rokuni, a very vibrant, beautifully designed Asian restaurant at Sugar Ridge, north west of Antigua, 40 minutes from English Harbour. Delicious Cherry Blossom cocktail made with vodka rather than gin hit the spot & an array of small Asian dishes followed including The Dim Sum Collection with Crispy Sushi Rice. Mains were Crispy Aromatic Duck Leg, Chowmein with Korean Beef and Lemongrass Thai Basil Chicken. The decor and the many themed zone areas are bright, light & roomy but the biggest Yeay came from Asher Otto playing live every Thursday evening.

We went to Rokuni at Sugar Ridge for karaoke night and had such a good time! My friends and I were in the lounge and honestly, the customer service was top tier. The staff kept checking in on us, making sure we were good, and even encouraged us to get up and join the karaoke fun, which we definitely did 😅🎤 What made it even better was how the staff actually got involved in the karaoke too! It didn’t feel like they were just working, it felt like everyone was just enjoying the night together. We had some yummy mocktails, the vibe was just right, and the karaoke host was super friendly and interactive. No awkward moments at all. We were laughing, singing, and just vibing the whole night. I’d 100% go back, whether for another karaoke night or just to try out the dining side of things. Such a vibe! 💃🏽🍹

The food was inventive and different from the other options in the island. We tried the dim sum sampler and the dumplings were great. The drinks were good quite good too. Service was quite courteous and very fast and they came to check on us often. The food presentation was great too. The restaurant is quite large but was quite empty on a Friday night but I would come back during a live music night just for the stunning view and drinks.

First time dinning at Rokuni and was very disappointed from the meals to the service from staff. We felt rushed the entire time we got in and we also felt like a bother to the staff members. Our server was constantly rushing us to take our order, the starters were great, sushi was amazing however, after receiving our main, which was the chowmein dish it was highlighted with garlic overpowering our meal throughout we sent it back to the kitchen and we were limited to only a few options because the kitchen was “closing” we was told this at 10pm. After this issue arise we could tell as two poc that the staff were talking about us and making it very obvious. After receiving the drummettes which was our substitute for the chowmein they were not cooked properly! Disappoint after another as someone who works in the hospitality industry I’ve never experienced a night like this anywhere in Antigua. I ordered a ‘French 75’ and I was told by my server they don’t have that, I asked her “how come?” It’s gin champagne and lime juice I’m convinced the server didn’t understand my order or forget my order, after the bartender brought my drink as I asked shout out to him he makes great drinks however for me, I will not be passing back here.

Rokuni is one of the best restaurants that I've been to in a long time. Amazing restaurant design and atmosphere, great food and service. Staff is excellent and well trained. A 10 out of 10

The cuisine was a nice change of pace with Local, Japanese, and Thai fusion of dishes and flavors. We came for our Anniversary brunch and enjoyed the variety. The escargot was our mutual favorite.
Latosha T — Google review
This restaurant is situated on the eastern coast of Antigua in Willikies, looking out across Nonsuch Bay towards Devils Bridge. Given its remote location on the edge of Tropical Island Suites Resort, Rokuni feels like a bit of a trek to get to, but my goodness it’s worth it. Walking into its spacious and beautifully appointed foyer, with independent bar and sea view seating area along it’s balcony, everything screams quality and attention to detail. Moving through into the dining area overlooking the bay there is an outdoor pool surrounded by day beds, everything feels relaxed and stylish. The Asian influenced dishes we tried were of a very good standard, and the cocktails flawless. The staff were all highly attentive and accommodating, from the kind fella that parked our car, to Alex Grimley one of the Rock Group founders who is perhaps one of the loveliest blokes on earth. Highly recommended.

Indian restaurant
Spices of India is a delightful Indian restaurant nestled in the Village Walk Shopping Mall on Friars Hill Road, where flavor and health go hand in hand. This eatery specializes in authentic North Indian cuisine, offering a plethora of vegetarian options that cater to diverse palates. Their naan is particularly noteworthy, often described as irresistible! The friendly and attentive staff enhance the dining experience with their warm hospitality, making recommendations and ensuring your meal is enjoyable from start to finish.
Just had a takeaway from here. Delicious food, big portions. Highly recommend the Chicken Lollipop and Lamb Rogan Josh. Reasonable price.

I'm sharing the pictures of Diwali fest organized by Mr. Kenny, the owner of Spices of India restaurant at the Village Walk branch of the restaurant. This fest was held on the weekend following Diwali. Buffet dinner along with unlimited drinks and entertainment. It was a vibrant and colorful evening.

I really enjoyed the Vegetable Biryani. It was well seasoned with different herbs and spices. The Garlic Naan was also tasty. I couldn't wait to taste the Samosa. Sadly, it wasn't like my previous experience. The peas were too pronounced. If fresh peas aren't available then it is preferable to use lentils rather than canned peas or frozen peas. The tamarind sauce went well with the Samosa though. Another big disappointment for me was that the Indian style drinks were only available at the Redcliffe Street branch. The consistency of the Shrimp Goan Curry was too runny and I would have preferred if the shrimp were grilled rather than boiled. Spicy levels: Mild- Lightly spiced Medium- Spicy Spicy- Super spicy (Point of no return) **At least two waiters needed. ** See Full Review On Instagram @gourmetdelion **

Good place to eat Indian Food. The food is good in taste and hygienic. The staff is polite and they have quite a variety in their menu.

Friendly, Attentative and Hospitable. The server was quite welcoming. Server recommended options while I was contemplating my order. Gave compliments occasionally, and came to clear up finished items while I ate. Always being polite while interacting. The down side is the location, it has all the nuisances you come to expect in an open food court type of setting.
Taurean A — Google review
Food here is far better than the appearance of the restaurant itself. Walked in here after reading the good reviews and was shocked by the tackiness of the decor. I know the restaurant is in a shopping mall but the plastic table cloths, plastic chairs and the fact they're sharing the space with a pizza takeaway place all make for a pretty lame environment. When you see the quality of the food it becomes clear that this chef deserves his own freestanding restaurant away from a shopping mall and with a comfortable and classy atmosphere. The gentleman who I assume was the manager was also excellent and genuinely cared whether my family enjoyed his food or not. When he found out we didn't like the spicy poppadums he took them off the bill which we appreciated. He also introduced us to an Indian cola drink that gets rid of the burning tongue sensation remarkably quickly. Our waitress was a bit unfamiliar with the menu and admitted she'd never tried Indian food but to be fair she may have been new. She also had a very quiet voice so we constantly had to ask her to repeat herself. I eat a lot of Indian food in the UK so I can confirm that this is a proper Indian restaurant.
Jasper L — Google review
I ordered Chicken Tikka Massla and the guy said it would be ready in 30mins. I went there and had to wait over an hour for my food. And the guy ended charging 45$ when he said 35$. The place is so unhygienic, and he went further to ignore me and serve the other Indian guy. Be careful guys. The reviews are so true.
Riddick O — Google review
Regardless of the fact that the food is far from the Indian taste, the workers are not good at dealing with customers and are rude. You also have to wait more than an hour to get your order, which in the end will not make you feel full...a bad experience and the prices are different from the menu prices.I don't advise anyone to try it

Roquita is a fantastic spot in English Harbour that offers a great atmosphere and delicious food. The staff, including Shing and Tia, provide excellent service, making the experience even more enjoyable. Visitors can't help but be drawn in by the amazing Sangria and end up spending hours indulging in both food and drinks. The tapas are particularly noteworthy, with the wahoo curado receiving high praise. This place is definitely worth checking out for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.
Ordered the Chickpea super salad added shrimp it was excellent, the garlic bread basket with the dip was excellent. The baked potato wedges were nice as well. All in all a very tasty experience and inexpensive. Highly recommend for a simple and interesting meal choice

I had a party of 5 and we all thought the place was nice. The place wasn't busy which made it easy for us to talk. The servers were really nice! The drinks were great. However the food was pretty mid for what they were charging. For example the burger was big which is nice but it lacked flavor. It was pretty flat. And they had a side of maybe 5 thin wedges to accompany it, which were also ok. Flavour was my only issue with the burger meal. Additionally, I recommend they have someone to greet people as they come in. For a group that had a reservation it was awkward having to go to the bar and ask the server there about our reservation.

We came for a drink and a few tapas as we had had a big lunch and were not very hungry. Exceeded all expectations! The prawns and tortilla were so delicious!

Called in last night as we were at Catherines on Pigeon Beach the sister restaurant the night before. Which was amazing. Service was very good and the atmosphere, music a little loud. Food we had Tapas - The Humus with Plantain, didn’t really go together and the humus had tahini and seasoning missing. Baked wedges with aioli were good. Confit tuna in beans with crostini was very nice. Ham croquettes with honey and mustard mayonnaise were okay, the wife wasn’t keen as she thought they were perfumery. Mojitos were good. Nothing to make us return.

This is the first place we ate when we arrived in the English Harbor area. We wanted to find a lunch spot quickly and chose this even though (according to Google Mals) they were to close in 20 min. They still welcomed us and we had a great meal. Lovely open environment and large menu. The chickpea super salad was the highlight of the meal as it was delicious enough to order another the next day. The pan con tomate was also delicious. The topping had a distinctive (and good) flavor that, while familiar, could not be identified. Chicken thigh was tender and flavorful. Calamari and potato skins had a crisp texture.

While the prices may be on the higher side, daily specials offer a more budget-friendly option. Special events and dining options keep the energy high all week long. Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes like potato and pork curry or chicken and potato curry with crunchy naan while taking in stunning ocean views.
Castaway is beautiful! The restaurant lies on an amazing beach which helps to create a great environment. The food is fantastic and the menu has a wide array of choices. The service is great!!!

The food was pretty good, nice view, and I love the decor. I’m giving a three star rating for the service, not the friendliest staff. If you, the customer, have to great your waitress, and bartender first...that’s a problem. I also sat for a good 5-10 minutes before I had to request a menu from my waitress. I almost didn’t want to spend my money here after the treatment but I had a flight to catch so time was of the essence.

Really nice curry. Had the potato and pork, my spouse had chicken and potato. Both were really good. Like India good. The naan was a bit too crunchy for using to eat curry, though i ate the whole piece. Great view of the ocean. A place where locals and visitors can get a great meal, some tunes and get into the whole Antiguan experience.

Best beach bar in the area! Open area seating means you still can get some breeze but be in the shade. Prices for food are steep though. For comparison, similar restaurants on or near the beach in Hawaii are cheaper. However, this seemed typical of Antigua.

Boom Restaurant is a unique dining spot located in front of a renovated 18th century Gunpowder store, offering an elevated alfresco dining experience with stunning views over English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard. The menu features delicious options such as catch of the day and burgers with truffle and parmesan fries.
We had a wonderful experience at Boom Restaurant! I visited with my partner and our 4-month-old baby and felt incredibly welcomed from the moment we arrived. We opted for the day pass at $110, which included pool access, two alcoholic drinks, and a delicious three-course meal — such great value! The staff were lovely and attentive throughout our visit, making sure we were comfortable, even with a little one in tow. The pool was clean and relaxing, the atmosphere had great vibes, and the setting was perfect for a laid-back yet special day out. I also treated myself to a massage, which was absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. All in all, a brilliant day. Highly recommend Boom for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful spot with excellent service and food.

There view from the restaurant is beautiful, which over looks dockyard and the boats. Service was ok and the food was alright- it was tasty but just felt like it was missing an extra touch of something
Kimberley H — Google review
The Boom restaurant is great place to eat near English Harbor. The restaurant is open air but the atmosphere is very nice. The food is great with a good selection of options. We were there in August which is the off season so it was easy to get a table for lunch. During other times of the year it is recommended to make reservations.
Jim H — Google review
READ BEFORE COMING! We had a lunch at Boom, thinking it would grant us access to the pool as *literally all reviews* say it would. However this is NOT true you need a day pass which is 120USD per person including lunch (imo not worth it for the pool use) and this is the only reason we chose here for our lunch. The food is great! The service is also great, but if you come here just know you will not be able to access the pool unless you purchase the day pass. We did get into the pool, and were told to leave (very kindly by a lovely waitress) and told the lunch reservation only gives you access to the pool in low season, which is fair enough. The pool was empty, though! In high season as this restaurant is quite out of the way of the beaches, I'd recommend you have lunch at one of the lovely venues in Pigeon Beach or Galleon Beach instead, and maybe choose this place for dinner!
Paula D — Google review
Such a pretty setting for a breezy sunshine lunch with friends. Season almost over so super quiet, lovely warm welcome & some tasty food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boom Restaurant for lunch, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The food and drinks at Boom Restaurant were delightful. We started with a refreshing glass of Prosecco and indulged in a couple of English Harbor Rums, which were expertly crafted. The menu offered a variety of options, and we opted for the chicken curry and steak sandwich. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The presentation was impeccable, and we couldn't help but admire the culinary artistry. One of the highlights of our visit was the breathtaking views. Boom Restaurant is situated in a picturesque location, allowing diners to enjoy stunning vistas while savoring their meal. It added an extra touch of magic to our dining experience. I also want to mention that cleanliness is a top priority at Boom Restaurant. The entire establishment, including the bathrooms, was impeccably maintained, creating a welcoming and hygienic environment. Although Boom Restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, it is undoubtedly worth the cost. The quality of the food, the exceptional service, and the mesmerizing views make it a must-visit if you are in the area. I highly recommend Boom Restaurant for a memorable dining experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more.
Ryan W — Google review
Good food, good service, splendid view ! The only negative thing is that we waited at least 25 minutes for our main dishes while we were only five tables in the whole restaurant, but the food was really worth it ! We ordered the mahi and the tuna, and they were really good.

Boom is an absolute treasure in English Harbour! The food there is beyond amazing, each dish a delicious adventure for the taste buds. But what truly makes the experience unforgettable is the incredibly friendly staff. They add this extra touch of warmth and charm, making the dining experience feel like a delightful visit to a friend's place. And let's talk about the views - they are drop-dead gorgeous! It's like having a feast for your eyes while you feast on the scrumptious food. Oh, and the cherry on top? A pool just a step away for a quick dip if you're in the mood! Boom is not just a restaurant; it's a whole experience of great food, awesome views, and wonderful vibes.

Carib Bean Coffee Roasters offers a unique Caribbean twist to their freshly roasted coffee. While the prices may be on the higher side, visitors find that the sublime quality of the coffee justifies it. Situated in Antigua, this charming spot provides an opportunity to enjoy great coffee in a beautiful setting.
As coffee aficionados, we have been looking all over Antigua for the best coffee (and oat and almond milk!) and we finally found it here. They import beans from all over the world and make their own custom blends. The staff were warm and welcoming and the views from here are fabulous. You can catch the breeze on their porch or take your coffee away to the beach like we did.

The Admiral's Inn is a unique waterfront lodging located in the heart of English Harbour, Antigua. It consists of several 18th-century buildings, including a 17th-century building set right in Nelson's Dockyard. The accommodation is split over two locations linked by boat, offering guests a historic experience with rooms decorated with antiques and hand-hewn beams. The main building was completed in 1788 and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our stay was great. We stayed in the “Superior double room with Sea view”. Service was excellent, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and had the views promised. Food in the restaurant was maybe a little more expensive than in town, but not by much and the quality is good. So you don’t need to go into town to eat if you don’t want to. I recommend a short walk to the bakery for a like snack (not a part of the property but in the area) Pool on the other side was nice, but I found the food more expensive on the other side. And there is a boat to ferry you back and forth of which it will take you to galleon bay too. Is it the most affordable?, no. But in the end we did not regret it.

Our 2 night stay was perfect. We stayed in a stand-alone room near the boom restaurant, and couldn't be more pleased. They also have a boat that will take you across the harbour whenever you wish, you just have to ring a bell :) After we returned to the United States we realized we left a substantial amount of cash in the safe on our room. They checked the safe as soon as we called, and it was still there! They immediately wired the money to us ❤️ we recommend this hotel in all ways, from the peace and comfort provided, to the pride and love the admiral clearly shows their very special buildings and grounds. We are grateful for your honesty and gracious hospitality :)) Many heartfelt thanks We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Loved our week at Admiral’s Inn. Totally lived up to our expectations! Friendly attentive staff who went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed. The grounds are beautifully maintained with palm trees and flowers everywhere. Room was spotless and comfortable. (We stayed at the Gunpowder Suites) Outstanding pool facilities and easy access by boat to Galleon Beach. We took taxi to Pigeon Point Beach but easy enough to walk home. Boom and Pillars restaurants were terrific re: location and food. (Be aware if you have mobility issues, the Gunpowder Side has steps, cobblestone pathways and some slopes.) The Nelson’s Dockyard location is outstanding, so picturesque and close to shops and other restaurants. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

This hotel is special. Firstly the location is unique but what makes it stand out is the staff. Every time we come to stay they make it feel as if we have arrived at a home from home. I can’t possibly name everyone who is special but to name a few Melinda at the Pillars restaurant, Shereen at Boom restaurant and Reggie at the bar are brilliant at their jobs. The food is excellent breakfast lunch and dinner. Love it.

Our experience at this inn was very disappointing, primarily due to poor service and lack of concern for guest comfort. On the first night, we walk in to a large cockroach quickly running under the bed. When we informed the front desk, the receptionist (younger black woman with pulled back hair) casually offered us bug spray. When we told her that we would prefer a different room to stay, we were treated as if this was an absurd ask, and finally after some back and forth with the receptionist, her supervisor (Shama) stepped in and offered us a different room for one night so we can sleep in peace and in the meantime, they would clean and spray down our room. The next day, despite being told our original room would be ready by noon, we returned at 1 PM to find it still unavailable. The same receptionist had a LOT of attitude and gave no sort of timeline on when we’d be able to access it or our luggage. This was especially frustrating because we had already checked in the night before—yet somehow, we still couldn’t get into our own room or retrieve our belongings. She was very passive aggressive and made us feel as if it was our problem. After some time, Shama came and told us that the room is ready. On our final night, we yet again stumble upon another large cockroach. We kill this one and reported it to the front desk. This time, the staff came in to spray the room with pest control, telling us it is recommended to wait at least 45 minutes before accessing the room due to the chemicals. We were not offered any other room and we were hesitant to ask, so we sat in the lobby for a bit. Concerned about the spray that was used and whether it is safe for my pregnant wife, we ask the white woman with short hair at the front desk about what spray was used. Without even looking at us, she initially handed us a mosquito repellent until we explained further about the situation. She was very dismissive, continued on with her paperwork and offered no reassurance or further inquiry. Listen, we understand that insects can be an issue in tropical areas, especially in a historic building by the water. The problem isn't primarily about the roaches—it’s how the staff handled the situation. This is marketed as a four-star hotel with a higher cost than others in the area, yet the service felt indifferent and unaccommodating. The only bright spot was Shama, who was patient, understanding, and genuinely tried to help. She handled our frustrations with professionalism and did her best to accommodate us, unlike the rest of the staff, who made us feel dismissed and gaslit as if we were being intentionally difficult.

The owners only care about themselves and have no consideration of providing any type of customer service. I would rather stay in a tent than give this pathetic excuse for a hotel another penny.

Pineapple Beach Club is an adult-only, all-inclusive resort located on a beautiful white sand beach in Antigua. The resort offers a variety of activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and beach volleyball. For those looking to relax, there are three swimming pools and plenty of space on the pristine beach. The area around the resort is known for its excellent snorkeling opportunities with diverse marine life just a short swim from the shore.
We checked in for 3 days as part of our 20 year wedding anniversary and could not have asked for better. The upgrades, the cleanliness, but particularly the friendly staff made this a great time. We wanted a quiet and relaxing couple of days to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this is exactly what we got and more.

We had a great and relaxing time at the Pineapple Beach Club Resort. Our room was clean and spacious enough to spend the week. The AC worked great and the room also had a ceiling fan. Everyone that we came in contact with was friendly especially Michael who was part of the “Fun Squad”. Tricia was our server at Topaz and we asked for her every night. She has a great personality! Ann Marie was awesome and Egbert took great care of us the entire time. This resort only has 3 restaurants and a snack bar, but you also have access to the sister resort across the street. The entire place provided a relaxing and chill vibes. It’s not a 5 star resort, but I would recommend this property.

The beach was amazing due to the bay and reef that keeps it calm. Great pool. Great view... Renovated clean rooms. Nice stuff. Food and drinks are not luxurious but satisfying. Overall had great time and will come again

The staff are the friendliest we have seen in a long time. You can see from the GM(Alfie) to servers to landscaping, everyone is here to please. Great food and such a soft sand beach.

The resort was nice and relaxing. All the staff were great and very helpful. The food was good everyday. (The birds are a bit much at times). Not really a lot of nightly entertainment but we went to relax. Ms. G at the spa was amazing.

We stayed in Pineapple Beach Club for my birthday vacation and it was one of the best places we’ve been. Food was delicious and fresh. We’ve had our fair share of all inclusive resorts and this one has the best buffet food. It was easy to reserve in the a la carte restaurants. The outhouse restaurant was the best part of the resort. The beach is beautiful and the round “floaties” are very relaxing and safe. The entertainment at night was great and fun. We stayed in the waterfront room and the view was breathtaking. Room was clean. They have very friendly and accommodating staff. I will recommend this resort and will definitely gonna come back. It was one of the best birthday vacation ever!

Nestled on Antigua's northeast coast, The Verandah Resort & Spa is an all-inclusive coastal retreat offering airy cottages, 2 beaches, a pool, 4 bars, and 3 dining options. Guests can indulge in unlimited meals and drinks while enjoying spa treatments at the full-service Spa Tranquility. Families can partake in beach games, art classes, nature walks, and seasonal programs while children are entertained.
I have nothing but amazing things to say. I don’t understand how this resort could have any bad reviews. From the rooms to the food and the beautiful beach and amazing staff, we were BLOWN away. We got the private candlelight dinner and Risa was our server, she was incredible and deserves a raise, she SANG to us at dinner after we told her we just got engaged. She was so sweet and gave us incredible service. Theo at sails and tails is absolutely incredible. He talked to us like we have known each other forever and we enjoyed eating there more because of him! Tristain who drove the golf cart was so sweet and talked to us about every part of our trip and why we loved it so much. Every single staff member was AMAZING even though I didnt get everyones name down. The food was incredible, especially for an all inclusive resort. We know it can be hit or miss but every single meal was great. The room was clean and the shower was beautiful. We went with another couple and got rooms right next to each other with a shared balcony, we couldn’t have asked for anything better and more accommodating. My friend we traveled with has a dairy allergy as well, and the staff was so attentive to her meals and snacks. Anyway, thank you so much to the verandah staff for making our vacation so incredibly awesome. We will be back very soon

This resort was referred to us by a travel agent. The staff were all truly nice! The food at the resort at every location was really good. However this wasn’t a truly all inclusive experience. The rooms are not stocked and if you want sodas after the pub or main bar close you have to purchase it from the gift shop before they close. There’s no room service. The resort is huge so unless you’re staying in the 300’s you’ll need to call for a “shuttle “ to get around. Which can be an inconvenience as well. I wasn’t looking for a party scene so this resort is really good for relaxation but if you’re younger and want to be in the mix— this isn’t it. I enjoyed everything about the property except the lack of all inclusive experience. Any complaint we had was addressed by the property manager and FIXED! She didn’t just brush us off. They have several pools and a few beaches! I’d say walk outside the resort to the right and font on the local beach tho.

Just came back from verandah Antigua ,Staying for 8 days , it was vacation for my family me my husband and my son, First from check in the staff not friendly at all usually every resort in Caribbean I visit the serve you welcoming drink when we arrived they ask us oh do you want drinks? I think because from all air Canada flight just our family stay in this resort so it was just our family in check in. because after 2 days we saw group arrive and they serve them drinks ,room service it’s good clean , pools it’s very poor service with this kind of luxury resort the main pool they have 2 basketballs one it’s get flat no air from second day we arrived no body care about it we told the staff he Kisangani oh we can’t do any thing we have to contact the company and we have to do new order its long process imagine they have ordered just 2 for all gusts so if the second one get damaged there is no basketball game . Now the restaurant not a lot of options just 2 restaurants and pizza place the staff of both restaurants not friendly at all service very bad , buffet staff super friendly , In the end this resort it’s not worth the money we spend which is a lot so I am not going to recommend it to any body . For sure I visit antique again loved the island but staying in different resorts ,

We just returned from a one week stay at the Verandah Resort and Spa and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The staff overall was exceptional and the food above average for an all inclusive. The service at the a la carte restaurants was excellent, however we did experience some inconsistencies in service at the buffet in regards to clearing dishes, filling water and bringing coffee in the morning. The resort is spread out nicely so it never felt crowded. The main pool offered activities throughout the day and we enjoyed spending time on Lover’s Beach. The water was calm and clear and circular floats dotted the water. We also visited Rasta Beach; which is at the other end of the resort. The beach itself was beautiful with many lounge chairs available under the palm trees. The water, however, is shallow with sea weed and not inviting for swimming. There was a nice pool located here so that made up for the shortcomings of the sea. As a response to a recent review regarding loud and brash Americans( we were staying here at the same time this review was posted), I can attest that we never experienced any inappropriate loud behavior during our time there. We were at the main pool quite often and the only noise we heard were guests participating in water aerobics or having fun playing volleyball. There are other pools located on site if one prefers a quieter atmosphere. I will say the guests we met were all friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed talking to them throughout our stay. Also, previous reviews complained about pool/beach towels being scarce. I’m happy to say they addressed this issue as towels were continually replenished throughout the day. Needless to say, we were very happy with our stay at the Verandah.

Breathtaking views and had a great time but not much to do in the resort. Wanted to play pickleball but there was some kind of pickleball convention going on. We tried everyday of our trip and all the courts were always full so that was disappointing. Loved the mini golf to kill time before dinner. Wanted to kayak before it got hot but worker said water sports didn't open until 11am so that was also upsetting. Portofinos restaurant was delicious, rest of the food was meh. Rooms and balcony were huge. Workers were asking for apple pay even though we were tipping cash and it made us uncomfortable. Besides that I think it was well worth the price and glad we stayed

The Verandah is a beautiful resort. The breaches have soft white sands and the water is warm and not calm, nestled in bay areas. We enjoyed Kayaking and paddle boarding on the calm waters. The main pool is quite large and accommodating. There are smaller pools located throughout the resord when you want to escape the crowds. Lunch and dinner in the main area are good - many food choices. Dinner in the restaurants is excellent. For those not into water activities, the full course mini-golf area keeps the family entertained for hours.

Manager went out of his way to make it a special birthday by arranging a beautiful cake and decorations on the table .A truly memorable holiday with my family .

We left after 24-hours! Dilapidated infrastructure, inoperative ice machines, awful food, and marginal service. They claimed to have top shelf liquors; I asked to see the bottle after ordering a Jack Daniels and although the bottle looked identical it had different labeling (the bar tender laughed and told me it “it’s JD’s cousin” then she placed the bottle back on the shelf with the label turned away from guest).

Galley Bay Resort & Spa is an adults-only, all-inclusive seaside retreat with four restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool, and a spa. Nestled between the ocean and a vast lagoon, it offers a serene sanctuary for honeymooners. The beachfront suites provide a stripped-back yet luxurious experience with nature at your doorstep. Guests can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding as part of the all-inclusive package.
We have always considered Elite Island Resorts to be among the very best in the Caribbean. This was our second visit to Galley Bay, and what was already good became excellent. The location is breathtaking, and the staff are among the warmest and most professional in Antigua. From management to housekeeping, activities, pool staff, bar, and restaurant teams, the service is consistently outstanding. The cuisine is exceptional, and the overall resort experience is truly first-class. As loyal guests for over 17 year, spending more than £250,000 on over 20 visits across their Caribbean properties we were completely shocked to receive a personal email from the CEO when trying to book a return visit to Galley Bay in 2026. Not only was that booking refused, but he also authorised the cancellation of our October 2025 reservation at Hammock Cove (Antigiua) , with no explanation other than a brief note from our booking agent saying that out booking had been cancelled. We also received an email for the COO saying that they strongly believe that our resorts offer guests a wonderful all-inclusive island experience, and the vast majority of our guests have a terrific time with us. That being said, there is no one size fits all when it comes to holiday travel, and no single resort or resort group is perfect for everyone. To that end, we simply feel that our resorts are not the best fit for your future holidays… We wish you the very best with your future travels—even though those travels will not include our resorts. After years of loyalty, this response left us stunned. In my personal opinion, Elite Island Resorts might be engaging in some form of customer profiling, possibly using social media, and if you don’t fit their preferred profile, you might suddenly find yourself uninvited to return. That said, I cannot fault the quality of their resorts, as they are truly first-class.

After four visits to this island and stays at several other resorts, I can say without hesitation—this one is the best. From its unbeatable beachfront location to its warm, welcoming atmosphere, everything about this place is first class and worth every penny. 🏖️ Best Beachfront on the Island No elevators, no towering buildings—just charming rooms that open directly onto the waterfront. You wake up to the sound of waves and step out into paradise. The beach and pool areas are constantly patrolled by attentive staff offering drinks, making relaxation effortless. 👨‍🍳 Exceptional Staff & Management The heart of this resort is its people. A special shoutout to Vincent Andrew, whose familiar face from a previous resort was a welcome surprise at Galley B. His presence and professionalism added a personal touch to our stay. Chef Gavin, a Michelin-starred talent, went above and beyond to make my daughter’s white coat celebration truly special. His culinary artistry and gracious demeanor made every meal unforgettable. Mr. Henry took the time to understand my concerns as a proud father and offered thoughtful ideas to honor my daughter’s achievement. That kind of care is rare—and deeply appreciated. 💫 Gratitude to the Dream Team Huge thanks to Risa and Vaughn for their warmth and attention, and to Chelsey, the all-star bartender who kept the good vibes flowing. Every staff member was genuinely committed to making our visit enjoyable. 🍽️ Food, Rooms, and Service – Top Tier From the gourmet dining to the immaculate rooms and world-class service, this resort sets the standard. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to celebrate life’s special moments. Book a catamaran(Wala Dali) and ATV with 268Buggies

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Experience at Galley Bay, Antigua! Our stay at Galley Bay Antigua was truly magical from start to finish, and our anniversary dinner was an evening we’ll treasure forever. Everything was absolutely perfect — from the setting to the service to the food, which was without a doubt the nicest meal we’ve ever had. It was cooked and presented by real professionals who clearly care about what they do. A huge thank you to Dasani, who looked after us so wonderfully on our special night. He’s such a genuine, kind person and an absolute credit to Galley Bay. The whole evening felt effortless and full of joy thanks to him. We’re also so grateful to Nadia for arranging the evening and making it so special, and to Anya, who has been our point of contact since earlier this year. She’s been so lovely and thoughtful every step of the way — a truly special person who made us feel like old friends rather than guests. There are so many others we want to mention — Dayton, Aliah, and many more — every single member of staff made us feel cared for and welcomed. The warmth, smiles, and attention to detail from everyone really set Galley Bay apart. We left feeling relaxed, spoiled, and incredibly grateful for such a wonderful experience. Galley Bay isn’t just a resort — it’s a place that touches your heart. We can’t wait to return! 💕🌴

We wanted to try our first all inclusive resort and found Galley Bay through Costco Travel. It has absolutely set the bar high for our future expectations. The location is beautiful with a calm beach right outside most rooms. Their service is amazing, for example: us asking if Corona was available and finding out it wasn’t, only for someone to show up a few minutes later with a six pack! Everyone working here is friendly and helpful, and they truly made the experience. Shout out to Annika from guest services for her consideration, Mike Ray from dining for his wonderful recommendations, Romeo for the awesome hobby cat tour of the bay, and Rogers from Bo Tours for his hospitality and humor. Thank you for a wonderful stay! 🌴☀️🏖️

What a BLAST! We came in on a cruise ship and bought the Day Pass; food, drinks, beach, and pool. The staff was absolutely attentive amd the drinks were seriously strong. Lunch was tasty with many options (we came on BBQ Day so ut was a buffet). Add in some great entertainment and it was everything we coupd ask for and more.

This resort really upset me. I unfortunately did not have the chance to stay here. I emailed them inquiring about pricing as my honeymoon to Jamaica had to be canceled due to the storm. They gave me a price which was doable, although slightly over budget, but I needed to cancel my honeymoon to Jamaica first and had a hard time getting in contact with the resort due to mass calls. When I finally did, I went to book the hotel room and responded to the email 2 weeks later. By then, the price had increased almost $2K. I asked the woman, Jenifer who was helping me if they could honor the first price and she said she’d contact corporate. Unfortunately, they reached out today saying there was nothing they could do. I’m very upset I won’t have the chance to stay here and that no one could help me out especially given the circumstances and it being my honeymoon. I guess money is all that matters here!

My husband and I had booked Galley Bay somewhat last minute but we were very, very happy we did. We had stayed at the resort from 10/19/2025 - 10/25/2025, and from the minute we got to the resort, we had a fabulous time. Our overall rating of the resort is about a 4.7 stars but for little reasons. Upon arriving at the security gate, we were greeted at the hotel reception, who asked for us to provide them with a copy of our travel for the week (car service, room confirmation, flights, etc.) To jump ahead, when we checked out everything was already confirmed the day prior, so we were able to enjoy our last day. We stayed in room 54 and it was the PERFECT location to everything - it was one set of rooms away from Seagrape (the main dining area), and on the 2nd floor, which we would HIGHLY recommend booking. The room was spacious, with a king-sized bed, walk in closet, balcony with 2 lounge chairs, 2 sitting chairs inside with a coffee table, and a large bathroom. It was cleaned everyday by the time we got back from the beach, and they had a modern system of letting the resort know either "do not disturb" or "ready to clean", which we appreciated. The entire week, me and my husband kept saying how GOOD the food was. The entire week, we didn't have 1-bad meal. Now, I'll preface by saying 2 things: the breakfast is your run of the mill breakfast, nothing to be blown away about, and the second thing: don't be afraid to ask for modifications or more of something. With our stay being all-inclusive, we were hesitant at first but by day 2 we figured out very quickly that you can make small changes to the meals or ask for 2 appetizers if you wanted. The food at each restaurant was fabulous. We dined at Ismay's, which is an extra $50/PP (plus any higher-end wines for purchase as well), and it was out of this world. The service at all 3 restaurants was great, and the staff was wonderful. The resort is very quiet. You have your own seats in front of your room which is amazing - honestly a huge plus for us, and the pool was never crowded either. They had nightly entertainment and the bars were opened until about 10:30 PM. Now for the "negatives" - which are more like improvements that could be made to the resort: 1. The beds - horrible. We complained by mid-week to each other that our backs were killing us. We spoke to several guests with the same sentiments. 2. The food portions - again, there's a solution, just ask for more! It was definitely a shock at first but the staff was always accommodating and didn't make you feel like a burden. 3. Inconsistency of drinks being made if you asked for a specialty one. We noticed that the bars and bartenders were quite inconsistent. Some were better at making drinks at others but it was a toss-up all week on what you'd get. 4. Bath towels - again, we probably could've asked but it was super frustrating to only have 2 bath towels in the room for me and my husband, which leads me to... 5. Pool/beach towels - now this was actually absurd: upon arrival, we were provided with 2 beach towels in our room. AWESOME - then it stopped. We later found out that every day you needed to return your towels to the pool, get 2 new ones and bring them back to your room. It was a huge pain and honestly, something that sets them apart from a 5-star resort. 6. The A/C's were brand new which was amazing BUT the first night me and my husband were freezing and we actually had to request a blanket because there wasn't an extra one in the room (which typically there is). That first night sleep was rough. 7. We also had cold water in our shower all week, and there was no bathroom fan, just a window. Because we were on the 2nd floor, I didn't mind keeping the window open all week, but the lower floors, I wouldn't like that. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Galley Bay - it was absolutely fabulous and we had an amazing time. The water is beautiful, warm, and there's a ton to do. It's a very quiet getaway and perfect for couples or friends looking for a good vacation!

We’ve just returned from our third visit to Galley Bay, a resort we’ve previously adored. While we still had a lovely, relaxing week in this stunning setting, we left with mixed feelings and, sadly, some doubts about returning for a fourth time. The Positives: Galley Bay remains an island paradise. The beach is absolutely beautiful; immaculate, peaceful, and perfect for swimming every day. We loved having our own sun loungers right on the beach, and there were always plenty of sunbeds and towels available. The sunsets were spectacular, and the grounds are breathtaking, filled with tropical flowers and well-maintained gardens. We stayed in Room 11, a single-storey superior beachfront at the end of the block. It was gorgeous, with the added bonus of a private side patio and rocking chairs—a perfect spot for morning coffee or sunset watching. Housekeeping was efficient, and the in-room fridge was restocked daily. Most of the food was very good, and the spa experience was excellent; the treatment and the spa staff were both top-notch. Galley Bay continues to be a wonderful choice for total relaxation. The Negatives: That said, we couldn’t help but feel a general decline in the overall atmosphere compared to our previous visits. Perhaps it’s the low season, but the service felt noticeably less warm and attentive than before. On past trips (one also in August), we never felt this level of disengagement from staff. While not everyone was indifferent, the overall vibe seemed more lacklustre than we remembered. Not all restaurants were open daily during our stay, which was a bit disappointing and limits the meal options significantly. Fortunately, we did get to enjoy a lovely meal at Ismay’s for the repeat guests’ dinner. We also had an issue with the bed in our room, it was far too soft and uncomfortable, making sleep difficult. When we raised it with guest services, we were told it was a brand new mattress, and a topper was added, which helped a little. While action was taken, we were made to feel awkward for bringing it up, which was a shame, especially as we’ve always slept so well here in the past. Additionally, the bathroom was starting to show signs of wear and could benefit from some refurbishment. The coffee shop was another small let-down. We never managed to get a proper iced latte, and on more than one occasion they were undrinkable (including one made by simply adding ice cubes to a hot latte). One other unfortunate downside was the persistent noise from jet skis on some days, coming from a nearby resort. While this isn’t under Galley Bay’s control, the constant revving up and down the waterway just off the beach disrupted the peaceful atmosphere the resort is known for. At times, they came uncomfortably close to swimmers and snorkellers, which was both noisy and potentially dangerous. In Conclusion: We still have a deep affection for Galley Bay. The location is magical; stepping out onto the beach from your room is something truly special. But for the high price point, we left feeling a little disappointed this time around. As much as it pains us to say it, we may need to explore somewhere new next time.
