Nestled in the charming Leigh-On-Sea, From Eden Restaurant & Bar is a modern and stylish eatery that beautifully blends nature-inspired decor with a vibrant atmosphere. Open daily, it offers an array of delightful options from morning coffees and breakfast to a seasonal dining menu available until 9 PM. Families will appreciate the dedicated children's menu, while pizza lovers can indulge in their favorite pies throughout the day.
Great local find!! Easy to book, great service and delicious food. We enjoyed afternoon tea for two and i’m always slightly reluctant with how a tea can be when you haven’t been before. Well worry not! Quality bread, tasty fillings, warm scones (have to be warm right?) and delicious cakes. It was a delight and the service was excellent. Highly recommend and parking nearby was nice and easy too. Perfect for couples, families and groups of friends too.

Lovely experience at this restaurant today. Beautiful decor and ambience. Extremely kind and attentive waitress. Food was delicious and the price excellent. My daughter and I had the set lunch. 2 courses for 12.95. Pics attached. Really good experience. Will return if ever in the area again.
Vlog I — Google review
The stunning decorative exterior of From Eden immediately caught my eye, and the fantastic 2-course £12.95 lunch offer sealed the deal. I was warmly welcomed by a lovely, energetic young hostess with the brightest smile – such a great start! There was plenty to choose from, but I went with the pork belly with crackling served with mash, veg, and a rich jus – simply outstanding, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. To top it off, I grabbed the crumble with hot custard all as a takeaway, and it was nothing short of delicious. Compliments to the Chef! This was just a quick pit stop for me being a HGV driver, but if the takeaway experience was this good, I can only imagine how wonderful the full dine-in service will be. I’ll definitely be back very soon to enjoy the full experience properly. Lots of love from London!X

Absolutely loved the food! First visit and it certainly won’t be the last. Staff were great and attentive. The food was amazing and quick to arrive. Would highly recommend the crab arancini, duck and Seabass risotto.

I was soooo looking forward to trying their fajitas but these are frozen chicken chunks in what tastes like a watery tomato sauce ☹️ It would be 100x nicer to just grill up a chicken breast, spice it and slice it. I’d return if they changed the chicken they use but I wouldn’t go back currently, it was really tough and made that awful tearing sound when trying to pull it apart too and some pieces weren’t identifiable at all, couldn’t tell if it was thigh, breast, leg or what. Which is another way you can tell it’s frozen chunks. Just really grim and not what you expect when paying £17.50 for fajitas.

Visited for the first time yesterday for an afternoon tea. Really good food and decent size finger sandwiches for an afternoon tea. Lovely decor, very clean. I originally booked the tea for 4 people but there was only 2 of us in the end, they kindly boxed up the other 2 teas for us to take away with us. Will definitely head back and try their breakfast or lunch.
Gracie S — Google review
We attended Eden as part of my hen do. Unfortunately, two people had not been able to make it, so they checked that everyone was there before proceeding to take our drinks orders. They were polite and helpful (we had a couple of people who couldn't have tea and coffee, so they provided soft drinks within the price). Throughout the booking process, they had been really considerate and accommodating. The food was delicious though there's never enough savoury in an afternoon tea in my opinion and myself and my mum were both saying that we could have happily eaten more sandwiches. We were talking throughout the tea about how this may become our new restaurant for family events and how we might order platters for the day after the wedding, my neice's birthday, and other events at home. When we had finished eating, they kindly brought us takeaway boxes for the cakes because nobody had really eaten any cake. When it was time to pay, everything went downhill. We were told at that point that we would still have to pay for the people that hadn't attended. Doing this itself is not our issue. Our issue is that their reason is that the food was already prepared. When we argued that we didn’t receive that food, they said that the sandwiches were now stale and would be binned but that we could have the cakes to take (which we already had loads of anyway). If we had been told when they were checking that everyone was there that we had to still pay for those not in attendance we would have either asked for the food to be brought out with the rest (as we said earlier we would have happily eaten more sandwiches) or for it to be wrapped so that it didn’t go stale. It was such a shame that they did not have better clarity and communication as this soured the event somewhat, and they have lost out on lots of future business.

Had a lovely Father’s Day lunch. It was a lovely roast my partner and dad had a starter and main which they loved but I saved myself for a dessert and do not regret it at all. The staff were lovely and very attentive and generally created a nice atmosphere. Cocktails and wine were lovely as well. Would recommend and will go back again

Gastropub
The Peterboat is a traditional pub located in Old Leigh, Southend, offering stunning estuary views and an outdoor terrace. It's a popular choice, especially during the summer months, due to its prime coastal location. The pub serves traditional English food and has a carved wooden bar and a cockle shed. While it may get busy during peak hours, many visitors find the wait for food well worth it.
First visit. Came for a meal. Located in the centre of the main road through Leigh-on-Sea. Traditional pub to the front with smart interior and restaurant to the side. Huge beer garden to the side. This place is very popular (supposed to be a great sea food restaurant, and it was) and does get very busy on sunny days, thankfully we had booked a table inside in advance. Seated in a nice little conservatory at the rear with nice breeze blowing through which was brilliant on such a hot day. The menu had a great choice of dishes at slightly high prices but worth paying a little extra for. We ordered three main courses to share. The chowder was stunning, a specialty of the restaurant, served in a large bread bun, the bread absorbed the flavours and sauce, gorgeous. The fish pie was faultless. The fish on the fish and chips was a tad watery, my only criticism.Drinks choice was good, at reasonable prices. The service was perfect, welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a solid 5 star restaurant bordering on 6 stars. I would definitely recommend a visit here but make sure to book a table if coming at peak times or sunny days.

Such a vibe! We went to this one on a Sunday evening and it was such a wonderful unexpected find. There was live music, everyone was dancing, while enjoying a drink watching the sunset. For a minute it didn't feel like the UK. It was busy but the team were so welcoming and found a way to find us a table as quickly as possible. We went for a light snack and ended up having the Sunday roast. Best Sunday roast I've ever had which is crazy to say. 10/10 Recommend!

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. 🏠We were at a table outside, which was even better. 🍋The waiter who served us was very clever and kind. 🌊This place is definitely suitable for those who love romantic evenings by the sea. 🐚Also, despite the full board, the staff did their job great. By the way, you can also bring dogs here 🐾

Great fish and chips with a view. A bit overpriced for fish and chips .. but a lovely atmosphere and nice dining experience. Lots of great outdoor seating. London prices for beer & food though..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Peterboat – Leigh-on-Sea 🦪🍺 Came for the views, stayed for the cockle chowder—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Silky, briny, packed with flavour, and served with amazing warm bread to mop up every last drop. 🔥🍞 Shared a perfectly poured Guinness with my wife and then enjoyed a relaxed walk along the seafront—couldn’t ask for a better afternoon. 🌊🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Service was professional and friendly, the place spotless, and everything ran like clockwork even when busy. 👏✨ Tip: try for an outside table if the weather’s kind—hard to beat those estuary views. We’ll be back. ✅ #ThePeterboat #LeighOnSea #CockleChowder #SeafoodWin #GuinnessDoneRight

The Boatyard is a restaurant located in Leigh-on-Sea, England, offering a diverse range of international cuisine. The spacious venue features estuary views and gallery seating around a boat-shaped bar. It is known for its classic fish and seafood dishes served on an atmospheric deck overlooking the sea, but also offers options like steak and vegan tarts. Additionally, there's a mezzanine bar with water views and live music on weekends.
We took my dad there for a birthday lunch and he absolutely loved it. Especially the carrot and parsnip soup. Great views and brilliant staff the menu was varied and reasonably priced. We love Leigh on Sea anyway so it was nice to spoil my dad for his 79th birthday and they brought him out a lovely dessert with a candle and sang happy birthday to him. Free parking opposite you just need a ticket and loads of room upstairs and down and outside seating. Gluten free options available.

Some of the best fish I've ever had. Amazing views over the estuary from the top deck. Great service from the staff and a huge selection of drinks. Overall highly recommend
Trisha — Google review
The Boatyard Restaurant, located on the High Street in Leigh-on-Sea, offers a truly memorable dining experience that perfectly balances a relaxed seaside atmosphere with refined, well-presented dishes. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch there, and from the very beginning it was clear that this is a place that takes both comfort and quality seriously. One of the first things we appreciated was the refreshing coolness of the air conditioning, which provided welcome relief from the warmth outside and set the tone for a comfortable afternoon. The interior itself is stylish and airy, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light, creating a setting that feels both modern and inviting. While many of my companions chose the classic fish and chips, which they later praised as fresh, crisp, and full of flavour, I decided to try something a little different. My choice was the burrata served with jamón and rocket, a dish that struck an ideal balance between creamy softness and savoury depth. The peppered tomato juice I ordered alongside it complemented the meal beautifully, bringing a refreshing sharpness with just the right touch of spice. The service throughout was attentive without ever being intrusive. Staff were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the sense that this is a restaurant where customer experience really matters. Overall, The Boatyard is more than just a local eatery—it feels like a destination. Whether you’re in the mood for traditional British seaside fare or something a little more Mediterranean in style, the menu has plenty of options to please. With its comfortable setting, excellent service, and consistently high-quality food, it’s a place I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Southend-on-Sea or Leigh-on-Sea.

I chose this place to host my birthday celebrations yesterday. I am very critical, but I can say that every penny was well worth what I paid for. The location was perfect, atmosphere in the place hot, the surroundings classy, the staff polite, unassuming but there; the perfect place if you want somewhere a bit 'upper'. I made 2 appointments with Ria, the manageress, beforehand. She put me at ease so much, that I ended up merely leaving it in her hands. She knew what I wanted and delivered plus some. She was so obliging regarding all my requests. If you want a classy venue for any celebration, this is the place to book.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We had the 2 course sunday lunch. It really was gr8 value 4 money. The roast pork came with all the trimmings & I mean all the trimmings! Yorkshire pud, parsnips, cabbage, broccoli, mangetout, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese, stuffing & a choice of sauces. All for £57 with drinks. The servers were first rate, friendly & efficient. Well worth a visit!

Raw chicken. Awful management. No management in all honesty. Place does not have a clue and also to serve raw chicken and the staff just to say sorry is not good enough. I will be reporting this to food standards asap. Real shame as I heard they had an amazing new executive chef hope he does not stay the place is bad beyond bad

Cucina is a charming, no-frills Italian eatery that has captured the hearts of locals in Leigh-on-Sea. Known for its delightful pizza and pasta dishes, this cozy spot also boasts a full bar to complement your meal. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a casual lunch with friends, Cucina offers an inviting atmosphere where friendly staff ensure you feel right at home. Very good Italian restaurant. Excellent service, very friendly and efficient. Tasty food. Will have to return to try the dessert that looked incredible and unfortunately we had made other plans for after dinner. Good excuse to return!

Had a beautiful Birthday meal in this lovely restaurant. Service was incredible from minute we walked in. We were able to move to a more private table with no fuss. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly - incredibly fast service. The menu is authentic Italian cuisine 👌. The atmosphere was perfect, everyone was having a good night but it wasn't too loud you couldn't hear each other. Francesco and team went above and beyond to make sure the night was so special. I highly recommend and will definitely be going back. 11/10

We were given vouchers for Cucina and decided to go at lunchtime. We had the set lunch which was reasonably priced for 2 courses. The food was a good sized portion. Be aware that extra vegetables will have an additional cost but the asparagus is worth it! The pizza is a great size and the homemade chilli oil is immense. The staff were friendly and attentive. The lunch session did get busy so clearly a popular choice in Leigh! Highly recommend for a couples lunch.

Popped down to the area from London and gone in for an impromptu dinner. The service was impeccable from arrival to departure. Many thanks to Francesco and Brian. Would recommend the Sunday Set Menu for affordable and delicious food; the portions are well worth the money. The cocktails are made to perfection. If ever in the area, will absolutely be returning.

Initially I had booked for a Friday evening however had to change it last minute to a Saturday evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone and very accommodating of the change. They managed to fit us in. On arrival the restaurant was full and buzzing - the staff were very friendly and Pedro recognised us from the phone call and was very charming. Pedro and his colleagues provided a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. All of the courses were beautifully prepared and flavoursome. We felt special and well looked after - a family meal with wonderful conversation and laughter - attributed to the atmosphere. My mother - a specialist in making prawn cocktail as a starter for family feasts rated the prawn cocktail the best she had ever had… For the wine I was welcomed to taste samples to choose from. The first red on the menu - 19Cabernet Merlot - wasn’t great (one to take off the menu in my opinion) so we chose the ‘21 Antiguo Fuerte Malbec Mendoza’ from Argentina. Complex tasty wine - a good accompaniment for the red wine. Dishes ranged from Tempura Pork - a ‘sweet and sour pork balls’ style dish with a spicy kick. Delish. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the fish tasted fresh and delicious and desserts were well received. Overall a super place to wine and dine with family and friends and service was comforting and fast despite the fact that the restaurant was full with a 30 yr birthday party celebration going on with a table of about 50 people!!! Highly recommended.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character — the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends. I ordered the fillet steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. One friend went for the sirloin, which was equally excellent, and another chose the salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. Every dish was spot on. The owner couldn’t have been more friendly or attentive, making us feel right at home and ensuring everything was just right. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality paired with such high-quality food. To top it all off, the pricing was very reasonable for the standard of food and service we received. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back here again — highly recommended!

Visited on a Thursday evening for my father’s birthday. Unfortunately there was some kind of fund raising event going on that we weren’t informed about so the restaurant was completely packed and very loud. Absolutely no problem with people raising money for good causes but we would have picked another venue to have a quiet birthday meal, had we been warned beforehand. That being said, the service was still fine, although the mains took a long time to come out, but the food was excellent. We had the Tempura Pork Belly and the Goats Cheese and Beetroot tart to start, both were very good. For mains my father had the lamb shank which he very much enjoyed. My partner had the duck breast on the bed of noodles which, although looked rather bland in its presentation, I’m assured was delicious. I went for the Sirloin steak which was cooked the way I wanted and very generously portioned and was served with a superb peppercorn sauce. My favourite part of the meal though was undoubtedly the dessert! The Belgian waffle with ice cream was amazing, can’t recommend it highly enough. Good food and reasonably priced. We will certainly visit again but hopefully on a quieter evening.

Went to Leigh Bistro last night for dinner to celebrate a friend’s engagement 💍 It’s always been one of our favourite restaurants and once again it didn’t disappoint! The breaded sardines starter was delicious. I think it was part of the specials board but I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu 😄 The sea bass has always been my favourite dish and it was the nicest I’ve ever had it. I think they might add garlic butter to it now. It tasted amazing! Lovely bottle of Whispering Angel with the meal, one of my friend’s favourite wines 🍷 Finished off with espresso martinis for dessert! Plus a complimentary limoncello 🍋 Gjovan was so lovely as always, as was the young waitress who was really polite and attentive. Looking forward to the next visit, and this time we won’t leave it so long! 😄

The Oak Tree Vegan Restaurant, located in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend, offers a diverse menu of vegan dishes with a unique twist. The restaurant has received high praise on Tripadvisor and is known for its array of meat-free delights. From seitan bao buns to soy fish burgers and giant battered sausages served with mac n cheese, the menu spans multiple cuisines.
Absolutely stunning restaurant! Travelled over an hour to try this place and it was well worth it. The service from the moment we stepped into this beautifully decorated place was fantastic. We were enjoying our drinks and ordering food within 10 minutes of sitting down. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and great food....not much more you could want whilst out for a meal.

Second visit to Oak Tree, which was great. The staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating (thanks for the menu option swap). The food was really good and we were happy with all three courses. "Mushroom" I would always recommend and would always have. The "Steak" was convincing and tasty. The "Sundae" dessert also hit the sweet spot, but the "Chocolate" was immensely good!

This was the first time dining here and we weren't disappointed. Its great to be able to go to a restaurant and not be limited to vegan options. There was a nice and relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant, all tables were filled in the area we were sitting but there was plenty of distance between us all. The staff were friendly and considering the amount of diners in there, the food came out quickly. All of our food was delicious and none of it lacked flavour. My husband isn't vegan but commented on how much the pie filling was like chicken and how nice it was. We both had 3 courses and spent sub £40. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely gorgeous food, service and staff are so friendly. We loved our meal here. Our son was very taken with the staff, especially Ivy. All our food was delicious. We had nachos, bao buns(warning, very spicy and we can handle spice 😂) to start with. Our one year old had the garlic bread with mac and cheese from the kids menu. My partner had the fish burger with fries and mac and cheese. The most realistic mock fish we've tried in 9 years. I had the mock chicken and bacon burger with fries and mac and cheese. It was very tasty. We were too stuffed for desserts. My only critism would be the ribs have been taken off the menu. We were gutted, we came from London to finally try the food, we met the owners 6 years ago and kept meaning to come. The ribs looked amazing online and had my heart set on them. We will be back either way. Thank you for a delicious meal with a lovely ambience.

One of our favourite vegan restaurants! We love it here. The menu is mouth-wateringly extensive and varied. The food is always of a high quality and tastes delicious. There is a nice selection of drinks too and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Never had a bad meal here and we will keep coming back! Dogs are also allowed. 🐾

Great restaurant for mixed diet families. Half of us are vegetarian, so this is perfect - there's no meat in sight, but you wouldn't know it from the menu. I had the chilli dog, my wife had the 'chicken' katsu. Flavours were great. Brilliant service. We've eaten both indoors and in the garden. Give it a try!

First of all such a wide range of dishes from different cuisine! All Vegan - Yey!! We had Potato Bravas for starters it was really nice. Lasagna was delicious. Burger was kind of a hit and miss for me as I wasn’t fond of the sauce. The absolute star of the show was the Warm Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream. It was simply glorious. I would return just for that desert. Staff was really friendly. I would rate 4.5/5 just because the sauces were a little rich but if you are looking for indulgence this is the place for you.

Epic! Amazing food. Very flavoursome. As a non-vegan was blown away at how good the food tasted. Definitely the place to go if you want to sample what a vegan lifestyle may have to offer. Whatever you have make sure you leave room for a dessert!

If you're on the lookout for an exceptional dining experience, Yak and Yeti in Southend is a must-visit. This charming restaurant specializes in authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine, offering a delightful array of dishes that go beyond the usual fare. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by friendly staff who are eager to ensure your visit is memorable. Whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeaway, you'll find beautifully prepared meals bursting with flavor—especially their renowned tikka masala!
The manager and staff at Yak and Yeti provide outstanding service, creating a truly welcoming experience. Their dishes deliver an authentic taste of Punjab, India, with a remarkable variety of flavors—each crafted with its own unique blend of spices, sometimes using up to 1,000 distinct combinations. I’ve dined here several times each visit has been exceptional. I highly recommend trying it! 🌟👨‍🍳

Clean restaurant, good layout and well dressed tables. Staff are friendly and are well dressed. Food is very nice and is well served. The Biryani dish was different to how we expected to be served, thought the meat dish would be served as a dish itself and the rice separate. However very nicely displayed and served. The Bombay Aloo was excellent, the potatoes were cooked fresh (could tell).

Have previously had a takeaway from here but ate in this time. Great food, none of it swimming in grease as can often be the case [with some other local competition...to remain nameless]. Can't fault it and my children who can be fussy liked it too. Would recommend highly.

Great night out, short notice, no booking. Fantastic food (Yak and Yeti Grill and Thali). Lovely service, great atmosphere, not too crowded.

This place is a gem! The flavors in the lobster platter were out of this world, spiced to perfection without overpowering. The mango lassi was a refreshing treat, and the service was impeccable. Can’t wait to come back— 5 stars well deserved

Lovely food on their Sunday buffet. They could perhaps do with a prawn or fish dish as an addition. The adult price is for anyone aged over 10. Would head back the dal was my favourite.

Mariners Court, located on Leigh Broadway in Leigh-on-Sea, is a charming pub restaurant with a modern yet traditional ambiance featuring oak decor and nautical elements. The establishment is highly regarded for its friendly staff, led by Manager Chris, who ensure a welcoming atmosphere for both regulars and newcomers. Despite occasional busy periods due to events like Premier League matches, the attentive waitstaff maintain cheerful service. The food is described as excellent in taste and value, making it a favorite spot among locals.
Really enjoyed the nachos - homemade, not horrible powdery packet ones. Loads of them. Our teenagers enjoyed their basket chicken meal too. They shared it and there was plenty!

Great pub and staff. Good selection of high quality food. Good choice of drinks. Very dig friendly Friday afternoons/evenings gets very noisy with local workers pouring in and too noisy with lots if swearing and overly loud voices which made us leave earlier than liked.

Had a wonderful first visit here last Sunday. Was served by a young lady named Hannah who gave us the warmest welcome and whose service went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable afternoon. She was polite and attentive without being intrusive and was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer. She was happy to chat to us about our weekend and her young children, on little sleep she’s doing a fantastic job! You are made to feel like you are all friends which is wonderful! The Sunday dinners are fantastic. Delicious food and very reasonably priced. I had the beef and it was cooked to perfection and a very generous portion, I couldn’t manage to eat it all! All of us agreed our roasts were fantastic. We haven’t been in before so haven’t tried anything else but the sharer boards looked great! The football was on but there was a good atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We were made to feel like valued guests and we will definitely be returning!! Thank you to Hannah and the team!

Great local pub in Leigh Broadway, friendly, polite, and jolly staff, quick service, great atmosphere. Extensive menu, with single meals, and ones to share. We had a share of breaded chicken strips, chicken wings, fries, onion rings, and garlic bread, and a side of halloumi fries. Would definitely recommend

Thamesbreeze Bar and Restaurant is a delightful spot located on Leigh Road, perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a family celebration or a corporate event. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels valued.
I’ve been to Thames Breeze a few times now in quiet and lively times and have to say the service and food are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and prices very reasonable. My only criticism is their decaf coffee. Please please get a decent filter decaf! Your normal coffee is great but I can’t drink that in the evening. Apart from that it’s perfect.

Thames Breeze is an absolute gem in Leigh-on-Sea! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding. Fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. I had the seafood linguine which was perfectly cooked and full of generous portions of mussels and prawns. My partner went for the steak and said it was one of the best he'd had in a long time. Cocktails were spot-on too—creative, well-balanced, and served with a smile. Highly recommend Thames Breeze if you're looking for top-quality food, excellent service, and an unforgettable view. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I didn't eat when I visited, as I tend to pop in for a few drinks mid afternoon when I get a chance, but the food being served to other people looks absolutely amazing. I will have to dine here soon. The owners are friendly and welcoming and I already feel after only a few visits that I'm part of the ThamesBreeze family. Edit (Dec '23): I've now eaten here and visited a lot more regularly. The food is fabulous, and the staff and atmosphere is excellent every time. And they *really* know how to do Christmas (see pic) Update (Dec '24): Has become a second home! Food is still wonderful, Christmas this year is even brighter and better. And I've been to a couple of really good karaoke afternoons on special occasions.

I've heard great things about this restaurant, which is why I brought my family, including relatives visiting all the way from Dubai. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the service. We were seated for a full 15 minutes and were completely ignored by our waitress, who was preoccupied with a friend. She looked at our table many times but never came over. When my mother finally had to ask for menus to which we said we would look and see if we will stay, the waitress's response was, "I don't care either way." The lack of professionalism was shocking. We left and took our business elsewhere, where we were treated with the kindness and hospitality you'd expect for a large group spending a great deal on drinks and lunch out.

QMin is a highly recommended Indian takeaway known for its generous portions and delicious food. Customers have praised the brilliant service and prompt delivery, with some considering it the best in the area. The succulent chicken dishes, along with daal and sag aloo, have been particularly highlighted for their great flavors and presentation. Many customers have expressed their satisfaction with QMin's consistent quality over the years, emphasizing fast delivery of hot and delicious meals.
Fantastic takeaway, delivered so fast, arrived as hot as if we’d just taken it out of the oven and all absolutely delicious. A perfect experience.

We have Indian from Qmin and no other place because it has always been Fantastic but after last night I'm looking for somewhere new. Our plates were full of water and this was after draining it once already, we both had really bad stomachs all night from the back end if you know what I mean and still not great this morning. Won't be buying again, such a shame as lovely owners and never had a problem before.

Use to eat In the restaurant regularly. Recently moved and ordered to a new address, delivery driver is stupid rude. Been apparently banging on a gate for 10 minutes couldn’t even get to the front door. Told her to stick the food where the sun don’t shine.

First and last time I’ll be ordering from here. Chicken in the korma was dry and chewy.. very low quality meat used. Sauce was terribly running and not thick like a korma should be and absolutely non existent of coconut. Rice lacked flavour. Mint sauce was the worst I’ve had. Only thing good was the onion bhaji and popadom. If there was an award for the worst Indian in Leigh you’d definitely win it.

Ordered delivery set meal E for 2 Saturday eve and was very impressed with the quality of the food . Very reasonable and service was prompt. Probably best Indian delivery we have found in the area.Wont hesitate to order again.

I have been a regular customer of Qmin for years and have never been disappointed with the food until recently. I ordered a chicken vindaloo and pilau rice yesterday evening but it was awful. The vindaloo tasted chemically, the chicken was extremely dry and had lots of the dark blood bits inside. The pilau rice was very dry and tasted like it had been cooked hours ago, then reheated. It was the worst curry I’ve ever ordered!

After never having an Indian takeaway my husband and I ordered one tonight (15/07/20) for our 25th Anniversary. It was on recommendation from my parents. The service was brilliant and the delivery driver was so lovely. We thought we didnt order a lot but they were very generous portions and sooo tasty!! I had the chicken Rogan Josh and my husband had the chicken Bhuna with daal and sag aloo. I could have just had papadoms and a vat of the mint sauce lol Will most definitely order again from yourselves. Thank you for a lovely meal on our special day and in trying times!! I would only say one small thing and that's that I would have liked more coconut in my peshwari naan but then I love coconut.

Nestled in a bustling bistro with a spacious terrace, The Grove offers stunning estuary views and an eclectic bistro menu. This trendy Leigh restaurant underwent refurbishment to welcome customers year-round. From 9 am, they serve coffees, teas, and biscuits, followed by breakfast from 9-10 am and a seasonal dining menu from midday to 9 pm.
We went to check out the newly refurbished Grove and we weren't disappointed! The decor was great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were brilliant and welcoming and the food was absolutely excellent. Seriously couldn’t fault the food. Some stand out dishes I’d recommend were the Salmon poke bowl, the prawns, the scotch egg and the Jerk chicken! The wine menu is great, which is quite hard to find and the cocktails we had were lovely too. Can’t wait to go back here - especially when it gets warmer so we can enjoy that gorgeous terrace.

Brilliant views and a range of tapas. Always thrilled to see arancini on a menu. Decent servings. Local beer in a bottle too. It was pretty busy in the late afternoon on Easter weekend, but still a few tables available for walk-ins. A few people had kids. It seemed child-friendly. The toddler at one table was enjoying the chips. A child at another had an ice-cream sundae which I would have got if it hadn't turned chilly. The Grove is on the way to the high street, and only a short walk from the beach. A lovely stop on a relaxing day out of London.

Just had an amazing lunch at The Grove, really good quality and tasty food, some of the best tapas I’ve had, just really nice and fresh. We had the cheapest bottle of rose but have to say it was really good. It was a hot day and the waitress was super friendly and attentive despite it being very busy. She made sure our water was topped up as we were getting through it without us needing to ask for more. Great views as well. I don’t live in Leigh but would definitely go back if I’m there again.

Unfortunately we had a really disappointing meal on a Saturday evening in July . The menu is not what is advertised online, there was not the same amount of choice, the steak had run out by 7.45pm on a Saturday, the starters were wrong and the staff had packed away by 9pm and we could not order / was not offered desert or coffees. We called during the week after to speak to a manager and was asked to email which we did, no reply , called again and was asked to email again with a promise of a response either by email or telephone but no one has taken the time to reply. Lovely setting on a sunny afternoon or evening but unfortunately the service and availability of food was disappointing. The lack of response was the deciding factor we definitely would not go back now.

I dont give 5's but this lunch was the best I've had for a long time. It was a sunny day we sat outside. The waitress came up straight away. Lovely and friendly and helpful with meal choices. The chicken salad was to die for and the falafel salad was as nice. Lovely place to watch the world go by.

Great portion sizes in general and very tasty food. The menu had many unique options and were well presented. The dill was a nice addition to the scrambled egg and cream cheese. We especially enjoyed the Liquid Gold Latte which was so creamy and warming with the dusting of sweet cinnamon. The waitress was very friendly and helpfully pointed out the gluten-free options available, of which there were several (all bread-based many items can be made with gluten-free bread). We were particularly impressed by the beautiful cakes made in-site. So many to choose from and plenty of gluten-free bakes, too. We visited on a busy Saturday morning but the service felt quick.

An absolute treat.... A well established food business. With good fresh food.. There breakfast options are amazing. The bacon and sausages are so very tasty... Along with the bubble and squeak. A good selection of fresh cakes along with many tea options and coffee. Staff very helpful. Atmosphere lovely... Just one comment. On the large breakfast which includes 2 eggs 2bacon 2 sausages tomatoes and mushrooms it would be nice to have two pieces of toast instead of the one.... The cheese cake is one of the best I have tasted in a long time. Prices very fair and definitely good value. I tottaly recommend this place... Thank you.

I wholeheartedly recommend the latte. The decor is well above average for a café with an off the street factor. On my inaugural visit service was swift and polite. 🅿️: conditional 2 hour free waiting either side of the road outside (hotly vied for) plus cycle stands nearby. Situated amidst a plethora of intriguing retailers/competing subsistence if you want to hit a bar next. Unfortunately, we called too near closing time so no 90 minute hang out today - just an enjoyable and restorative brew!
Neil H — Google review
We visited for breakfast and were left very disappointed. We asked if our 3-year-old could have a smaller portion of pancakes (as the full size was £12) and were told a half portion was available. Perfect, we thought — until the bill arrived and we saw we’d been charged £10.50. When we queried this, the waitress replied, “Well, some people don’t understand you are not just paying for the pancakes, we also have rent, staff and other overheads to pay.” Not exactly the response you would expect. At the time, our only feedback to them was regarding the price of the half-portion. But seeing as it was so poorly handled, the other issues really shine through: paying over £45 for two “smaller sized” adult breakfasts (plus £4.50 for two tiny slices of bacon), shambolic service with one breakfast order messed up not once but twice, and an overall lack of customer care. A shame really, as it could have been a lovely family spot, but the experience left us feeling short-changed and unwelcome.

The food is delectable and arrives promptly, while the service is excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant overall is fantastic, creating a pleasant dining experience. With its authentic Italian charm, even on busy days, La Sirena manages to accommodate customers.

Lovely, authentic Italian restaurant. Visited on a very busy day but they managed to fit us in. Started with the Bruschetta and the Caprese salad, both delicious, well portioned and freshly prepared. For mains my partner had the Hawaiian Pizza which was fantastic and more than enough to share. I had the Spaghetti Terra Mare, again, excellent. My only complaint is that the portion compared to the price, was rather small. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend

Stopped by for a quick drink. Really nice old building,I imagine it has lots of history, with a friendly old pub vibe to the place. Located at the start of the main road through Leigh-on-Sea. Friendly, welcoming and helpful service. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Food menu available but we didn't stay to eat. Irmas is an Italian restaurant known for its costly wine (8 for a large glass of sauvignon blanc!). The ambiance lacks warmth on chilly days, with unimpressive menu options and uncomfortable furnishings. The flooring appears scruffy, leading to a negative dining experience that discourages return visits. However, the food at Irmas is consistently outstanding. The Vesuvio pasta comes highly recommended as it offers generous portions without compromising on flavor, despite the poor quality of accompanying photos.
Good food and good service. The pizzas are all very nice. Have tried multiple and they are all cooked very well and topped nicely. The service is especially good, even if they are busy the food comes out pretty quick. It’s also reasonably priced. Thank you

Went in for lunch with friends for lunch on a rather busy day in Leigh-on-Sea. Service was quick. We ordered pizzas and some pasta dishes which all tasted good and were real value for money. Only problem was there was also a kids birthday on the table opposite us which took over the room. The restaurant itself generally seems popular with families. It was a bit difficult to hear each other at times. But if you can get over that, the food is good.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with my lady & no reservation. My first visit, she remarked on how it had changed since her last visited and complimented the decor. Classy interior, white kitchen wall tiles, lot of mirrors, dark wood floor and marble topped tables. Lots of chatter but no music overhead. Rosmarino bread Spagnolo pizza Spinachi pizza Nice food well cooked. Topping were flavoursome and enjoyed. Not necessarily a stone baked pizza with fluffy puff crust but decent fare overall. Polite and warm welcome from the staff on entry to our eventual departure.

From the outside, I thought this place looked worth a try. Oh, how wrong I was. First off, we walked in and asked if there was a table for 2. The women hosting (4 people who appeared to be perhaps 16 at the oldest), didn't even acknowledge us, huddled over a seating plan, muttered to each other, before asking us if we minded sitting "under the red light", as if the table was made of snakes. We agreed to the table. The waiting staff asked if we wanted drinks, and had apparently never heard of people just ordering tap water, based on her incredulous laugh before she just walked off - how exciting, we had no idea if we would receive our order. When I asked if they had vegan options, I was told they had vegan cheese. Great. But when I again asked if they had vegan pizza, I was stared at blankly. Finally, the jug of water arrived! Slammed down on our table as the waiting staff stormed by. No glasses, no eye contact. Brilliant. Eventually, we left. So I can't tell you what the food is like, but I can suggest you stay the heck away.

Food was really good at reasonable prices. But the star of your establishment is the awesome Georgia who doesn't stop running up and down, very hard working young lady. The other 2 ladies that were there didn't do anything. Look after Georgia as shes a real asset to your establishment.

Having lived in Leigh my whole life and never sampling the delights of this well known institution, my partner and I felt it was high time to put this right. Irmas is situated just off the Broadway, the restaurant is large and airy and tastefully appointed in simple, dark wood furnishings. The cleanliness of the dining room is faultless, as was the case with the bathrooms. Staff were very attentive, taking our drinks order soon after we’d sat down, although no mention was made of the specials, of which there are several available. Although we visited on a quiet lunchtime, I was still impressed with how quickly the food came out. The garlic and mozzarella bread starter arrived quickly, hot, and was delicious. I ordered the Napoletana pizza and my partner the Spinaci, both were excellent, the pizzas are cooked in traditional pizza ovens, as you would expect, and arrived perfectly cooked, with thin and crispy crusts, just as they should be. Overall an excellent meal with prompt, polite service. I can highly recommend Irmas and we shall certainly be back

Been a few times and the food is always superb. Highly recommend the delicious Vesuvio pasta (excuse the terrible photos) for a great portion size that doesn’t compromise on flavour. Pizza and garlic breads are lovely and flavoursome, crispy and thin. Service could improve, but with a nice atmosphere and great food it’s perfect otherwise.

If you're into pizzas you'll like this place, not your usual pizzas something much better. The only thing lately is that it's gotten so loud with young children coming in, don't get me wrong I luv kids but if they're going to dine out they should know how to behave, the whole restaurant wasn't too happy, everyone kept turning around and looking at these kids. It's a shame a member of staff should have told them to just lower the noise a bit! It felt like I was in McDonald's and I couldn't wait to leave. Shame really I had my daughter's birthday there last year.

Garrards has truly carved out a niche for itself in the local brunch scene, becoming a go-to spot for those seeking a delightful dining experience. With enticing bottomless drink packages that last an hour and a half, guests can indulge in beer and prosecco or opt for the cocktail package to elevate their meal. The atmosphere is vibrant, making it perfect for gatherings with friends.
Had a lovely meal here! As a vegetarian it can be hard to find a good veggie burger, but at Garrard's I have found it! Cauliflower wings were also delicious! Great sized portions and very friendly and attentive staff, thank you Grace and the rest of the Garrard's team for doting on us this evening! 🍔❤️
Gemma D — Google review
I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Garrards. I came here for my birthday, for a rack of pork ribs. Particularly, I came on a Thursday as this is when steak and ribs are 50% off if you order them with a side. The ribs were alright, same thing you'd get at a harvester, just a lot more expensive. My wife's steak on the other hand was a low quality piece of meat, full of sinew and gristle. It also did not come with a sauce, this was a £5 additional charge. The best part of the meal was the dirty fries. I cannot fault these. Service was nothing special, just average if a bit slow. But still, an 8.5% service charge was mandatory and this is where I draw the line. The prices here are outrageous, more expensive than London for regular pub grub, and just because it's all so expensive, the service charge is also. I wish it were normal for venues to pay their staff appropriately rather than dipping their hands into the pockets of their customers, but alas still this practice continues. If you're reading this review, do yourself a favour and go to Continente Café a couple streets away. I actually do tip there because the food is great, the prices are great, and the service is always friendly. They serve good cuts of steak, cook them properly, and they come with a sauce and a side, which would cost you around £38 here for an inferior product. Garrards, you should consider dropping your prices to something standard for Essex and stop adding a mandatory service charge for a 2 person table. You won't be seeing me again.

Went for the brisket burger which was lovely as were the chips, not as keen on the onion rings or fried pickles. Definitely good value for amount of food we got. And recommend the big hug ale.

We came in for boozy brunch on Saturday. There was a big group of lads on an end of football season do. The service was great. The food was awesome. It’s worth noting that the cocktails seemed to have a proper amount of alcohol in them and were made really nice. The service was awesome. Regular top ups of drinks too which is what you want when there are time restrictions. It’s safe to say we had a great time and I’m happy we booked there. Highly recommend

Chose Garrards for a birthday lunch with my parents and decided to leave a good review as the three of us agreed it really was that good. My father has celiac allergies and we think that was probably the first time ever we've all been been able to sit down and enjoy a burger together. Fantastic menu, staff, food, beer. Ugo's Pizza Bar is a delightful spot that truly captures the essence of authentic pizza dining. Open from 9 am, it offers a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy coffees, teas, and biscuits to start your day. Breakfast is served until 10 am, followed by a seasonal dining menu available from midday until 9 pm. Families will appreciate the children's menu alongside an enticing pizza selection during those same hours.
Best pizza in town. Sourdough yumminess, with high quality toppings. Anchovies were delicious. Reasonably priced.

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant! The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and very accommodating, which made us feel welcome right from the start. The pizzas were absolutely amazing – fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Highly recommend if you’re a pizza lover. As for the drinks, the £5 cocktails were a bit of a letdown. Even at that price, they didn’t taste great and felt like a waste. However, we decided to try one of the premium options – a honey and chilli cocktail – and it was delicious. Definitely worth spending a bit more for the better-quality drinks. All in all, a great spot for food and friendly service. Just skip the budget cocktails and treat yourself to the good stuff.

What a lovely spot! The pizza is incredible (get all the dips!), cocktails were delish and everyone was so lovely. We sat outside and managed to get a walk-in on a Saturday evening, but there were lots of reserved tables so would recommend booking.

When I heard my favourite Butternut Blue pizza was back on the specials menu, I had to make a trip to Ugo’s - and it did not disappoint! Huge thanks to Max for making the best pizza ever - it was absolutely delicious, as was the garlic bread. The blush wine was also lovely, though a bit pricey at £33 a bottle. Still, a great night overall - can’t wait to come back!

We came here for the first time for our daughter’s birthday and we’ll definitely be returning again soon having already recommended to others. We found Ugo’s to have reasonable pricing, attentive servers and the most delicious pizzas. The portions were very generous and staff were very helpful with providing the requested allergy info.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful brunch experience, look no further than The Brunch Co. This charming spot truly excels in offering a fantastic bottomless brunch option that allows you to indulge in two hours of unlimited bubbles with any main meal purchase—perfect for enjoying quality time with friends. Their menu is impressively diverse, featuring everything from hearty breakfasts and savory pancakes drizzled with maple syrup to delicious sandwiches and paninis, catering to both vegetarian and vegan diners.
From the start they were very organised when getting us a table, the waiting staff knew that the place was busy so they took our name and number down to call us when a table became available and it did very quickly. They have very lovely, friendly, and attentive staff here which makes the dining experience even better. The food is absolutely fantastic, I got the full English breakfast and couldn’t recommend it more, we also got pancakes to share and they were delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Ianis P — Google review
I’d say this place was pretty average overall. The atmosphere is definitely nice cozy interior with a relaxed vibe, and it seems like a popular spot for weekend brunch. The menu had a good range of choices, and the food was decent, but nothing really wowed me. My dish was cooked fine, but it lacked a little flavor and creativity compared to other brunch places I’ve tried. I ordered a beef burger with sweet potatoes fries and my friend ordered Honey Harissa Chicken Skewers. The beef burger was alright however it was very hard. I had to use a knife and fork to cut it and it took be a good 4-5 saws before I cut a piece off. The chicken skewers did not have a nice taste to it but everything else on the plate was lovely. Service was friendly, which I appreciated, though things did move a bit slowly. Our server seemed attentive, but it took longer than expected for drinks and food to come out. Not a deal-breaker, but noticeable. Prices felt a little high for what we got. The portions were fair, but for the quality and taste, I expected a bit more. It’s not that the food was bad just not memorable. Overall, it’s an okay option if you’re nearby and want a casual brunch, but I don’t think it’s somewhere I’d go out of my way to return to. With a few improvements in flavor and efficiency, this place could easily shine more.

Amazing food. All industry awards very well deserved! Never having eaten Caribbean style before, I wasn't sure what to expect but the sweetcorn fritters, jerk chicken and oh-so-moist chocolate fudge cake really hit the spot. Takeaway. Ordered 1/2 Jerk chicken, rice and peas ,BUT with curry goat sauce. Seasoning on jerk chicken was not bad but chicken was dry and so not particularly nice. It may have helped if I'd have been given, Curry goat sauce, as I'd asked for. What I received was a miserly amount that could probably fit in a Mcdonald's dip container. Very poor . No idea what flavour it was but I'm glad I didn't order Curried Goat.

During my recent visit to La Casetta, I was treated to an unforgettable dining experience that truly captured the essence of Italian cuisine. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for our group of six, including two energetic little ones. We opted for the set menu featuring a delightful beef roast and dessert that left us all satisfied. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring even the kids felt at home.
I recently dined at La Casetta and had the pleasure of trying their pasta carbonara. The dish was rich and creamy, with a generous amount of pancetta that added a delicious smoky flavor. The spaghetti was cooked to perfection, coated in a velvety sauce that had the right balance of cheese and seasoning. While the presentation was simple, the taste was truly satisfying. Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great dining experience. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with delicious pasta and top-notch service, La Casetta is definitely worth a visit!

We had the most delicious meal here on Saturday 21st June, my son googled local Italian restaurants as we didn't know any in the area. We called for a table of 10 and they kindly squeezed us in. The food was the best we have ever had in an Italian restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous even the children ate all their food. The staff are so lovely, happy and friendly. We will definitely be eating here again on our next visit to Leigh on Sea.

Went back to this restaurant after it was sold earlier this year. I didn't realise it had a new buyer but it was convenient for me that day with unexpected visitor. The food tasted different, in fact I asked if the waitress if they were new. . Then discovered she was the owner along with her husband. Hadn't been in there for 2 yrs as the freshness of the food was not up to scratch, but this time, the food was so great and they are such lovely genuine people, I have booked my birthday celebration there. You could tell it was fresh good wholesome food and my friend enjoyed hers so much. We went in for a snack type thing but ended up with 3 courses each. I'm so pleased they are on my doorstep. I wish them all the luck in the world and we are all looking forward to my birthday bash.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience in the Leigh/Southend area, look no further than Leigh Tandoori. This charming Indian restaurant comes highly recommended by locals and offers an extensive menu filled with both classic favorites and unique house specials that are sure to pique your interest. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy evening out with friends.
Get takeaway from here a few times a month, had about 20 now and everyone has been perfect, sat in the other week and more of the same couldn't find fault! If something isn't on the menu they will try and get it done for you which is what I liked as nothing is a problem! And it's not that expensive! Won't be changing curry house Any time soon

It was my first visit after multiple recommendations from friends. Probably one of, if not the best, Indian restaurants in the Leigh/Southend area. The menu has a wide selection, with some exciting house specials and lesser-seen dishes if you're up for something new. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, I couldn't fault the service. It was efficient, and waiters were happy to talk about the food with you. It was a lovely evening in a pleasant atmosphere with friends. Large tables for groups but also small booth tables for a low-key and quieter dining experience. I look forward to my next visit.

One of Leigh's little gems. I haven't visited this restaurant often enough over the years. Very high standards of food, service and just everything. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent, the atmosphere spot on and the prices not unreasonable. I have eaten here twice now and both times have been shocking. The service was very poor both times, my family had there meals and had finished them by the time mine was ready. We had to wait a long time for them to take our order , then waited even longer for our drinks. They seemed very unorganised, no atmosphere at all, no smiles on the staff faces , they was busy but it seemed they didn’t have a routine/plan in place. It’s a shame because the food has been really lovely. I feel with restaurants, they spend all there time doing there uber/Just eats orders but no time for the customers that want to eat in and enjoy the restaurant it’s self. The team just seem to be very lost & all over the place. I don’t think I will return again because once is ok but twice? Such a shame.

It was such a great café to stop at and enjoy a very tasty, fluffy dessert in the sun. I sat outside and enjoyed the world passing by, but seeing the sea in the distance also - so, so beautiful. The staff were ever so lovely, and attentive at all times. I was well looked after and no request was too big, despite being so busy. As for the pancakes... well, I cannot praise them enough, they were just perfect, fully, plenty, sweet, and with great topics. I would definitely recommend.

Popped in for a quick bite and beverage whilst in the highstreet. Busy staff running a takeaway and eat in service, a little confusing as to how/where to order as they have different tills and ordering processes going on. The cafe itself is a little plain and perhaps in need of a lick of paint, and the cleanliness was below par - lots of food on the floor and unwiped tables. The friendly waitress did however promptly offer to wipe my table upon taking my order. Service was fast and the coffee to a good standard. An okay cafe but I expected higher given the number of similar joints on Leigh highstreet and local competition.

At Mexicana Grille, the commitment to enhancing customer experience is evident with their recent launch of a new online ordering website. This exciting development allows you to enjoy your favorite freshly prepared meals from the comfort of your home. While some customers have noted that service can be inconsistent and wait times may vary, many rave about the delicious offerings available. Usually I would not be so down on a restaurant and normally I would not post a bad review. However, after receiving two very poor fajitas (both supposedly steak - it was crammed with barely fried onion) I called the restaurant to complain about what we had received and was told by the manager (or owner, I wasn't told which) that the quality of the food they serve is akin to the Savoy Hotel. I have eaten at the Savoy and have spent time in Mexico and I can say, hand on heart, this meal did neither justice.

This company is an absolute jokeshop. Stay clear you have been warned. I ordered over hour and a half no food, contacted the webchat company who liase direct with mexicana grille, i was told they spoke to the manager apoligised and food was on route. 30 mins later still no food. Called Mexicana grille direct to complain and esculate to the manager was told that they didnt have my order or number for me but then backtracted and said they had the order number when i offered the order number i was given. Turns out they didnt process the order but at 11:pm would put it through as a special request. I wanted dinner at 9pm not at c midnight when it would / may have arrived. I had to request a refund and i asked to speak with the manager to make them aware. I was told manager isnt there and that they wouldnt contact me back and as I had to ask for a full refund there was no need to involve the manager. The girl on the phone then said she was the manager ... seriously i am expecting this company to either be a tv wind up or on rouge traders soon. I feel sad that i had to give it even one star to add a review. Thank for nothing.... Update 22nd Jan: Still not recieved my refund i have had to raise with the bank and start a chargeback claim against mexicana grill. Stay away you have been warned.

Mexicana Grille's food has always been great but it's service is left to be desired. There is no shop front other than a chicken shop. The website always undercharged meaning the price in shop is more. Raised this and was just ignored. Website says 25 mins for collection but inevitably have to wait another 5 mins. However better than 2hr wait for delivery

It says online that the vegetarian burritos will have guacamole substituted instead of meat, there was no guacamole. My veggie burrito was 99.9% rice and .1% beans and peppers! Why so much rice? We couldn’t eat them! I also stated in the comments no meat no dairy and the re-fried beans had cheese in them! Also they forgot my extra guacamole! It was hands down the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had! If you’re veggie just don’t do it, don’t even chance it. just buy a bag of uncle bens rice and put it in a burrito yourself.

After hour and a half waiting, contacted them to be told out for delivery. 40 mins later no delivery. Contacted them again to be told order not put through! Absolutely shocking, and woman who spoke to on phone has no customer service skills. Most definitely will not be trying here again and would urge people to not waste there time!

Had a fantastic meal at Little Talk Cafe! The steak pie with mash, gravy, and peas was absolutely delicious — rich, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely lovely and attentive. A perfect spot for a comforting meal. Can’t wait to visit again and try out The Special One or The Mexican!

Exceptional food, friendly professional staff, decent atmosphere. We had an omelette breakfast, pulled pork eggs benedict and a latte with coconut milk each for less than £29.00 Only slight issue it would be nice to have the sugar on the table rather than having to ask for it and when i did ask for it i was given white instead of brown. If i lived closer this would my new breakfast spot! Keep up the good work!

We had a lovely brunch at Little Talk Cafe yesterday. We requested an egg white omelette with our own custom ingredients, and the chef was kind and accommodating enough to prepare it exactly as we wanted. If you're looking for a comfortable, inviting place to enjoy a personalized meal, Little Talk Cafe is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

We had been up since six in the morning, so we were hungry and after reading the reviews we decided to give you a try. The Breakfast we had was probably the worst breakfasts we’ve ever been served. First thing is to learn how to poach eggs. As the cook on Saturday 12 September was incapable of cooking a poached egg, I agreed to a substitute of scrambled eggs which were over cooked, very pale and dry. The bacon was overcooked and leathery, we were missing a hash brown, and the toast was awful. The sausages were dry and overcooked. Our drinks had gone cold too We were the only people in your establishment, so it wasn’t like your cook was under pressure and it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. We were just hungry so tried to enjoy what we could. Probably the best thing about this whole experience was the coffee and the very nice lady that took the order, served us and subsequently reduced the price. I’m sorry to have to make this review but it’s not unreasonable, only honest.

Corner Club is a popular local bar and restaurant featuring a covered terrace, making it perfect for spontaneous plans. The venue offers an array of treats including coffee, pastries, cakes, cocktails, and a changing hot food menu. On weekends, it transforms into a vibrant bar with live music nights along the indie-filled Broadway. The establishment is known for its friendly service and diverse evening menu influenced by global flavors. Guests can also indulge in delicious cocktails while enjoying the warm and inviting atmosphere.
Came in for a change of scenery for some brunch on a Saturday. We’d seen how popular Corner Club can be, so thought we’d give it a go. We opted for 2 x Eggs Royale, an Oat Iced Latte and a Flat White. The iced latte was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I honestly would drive into Leigh regularly just to get this more often! The food itself was lovely - all perfectly cooked and hot, and the portions were good too. The only thing stopping us coming on a weekly basis is the price. £15 for Eggs Royale is a little steep for us, but we very much so enjoyed it nonetheless!

Had some lunch today, wow what a great atmosphere, staff are friendly and service was top notch. Food and drinks were lovely, will definitely be back.
Kayleigh — Google review
Very nice coffee spot the atmosphere and ambience was great too. I went there for coffee, wasn’t overly impressed as the size of the flat white was rather small and the texture wasn’t as velvety. However, location and the overall vibe of the place is great and may return for the food or just to relax.
Sameer K — Google review
This was my second visit and I returned solely for the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. I remember saying they were the best pancakes I’d ever had. I was devastated when I was told the pancakes are no longer on the menu. But the staff member recommended the French toast. I went for the French toast with bacon and maple syrup, which is always my go to treat. I can honestly say that it was even more delicious than the pancakes. I’ve been dreaming about the dish ever since and I’ll be back soon. I just pray that they don’t take the French toast of the menu 🙏🏻 My husband had an English breakfast which he really enjoyed, although it was on the small side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was fairly busy the day we went and struggled to get seated inside so we sat outside which had a beautiful view of the sea.
Sarah M — Google review
Such a lovely lady serving us! She was the red head and was a brilliant vibe. The drinks were lovely and reasonably priced.

All was great except for a nail sticking out about 1 inch on the end of the table which snagged my nieces lycra shorts. When I spoke to the man in charge he was unresponsive and did not come to the table to resolve the nail issues. Shorts cost £50!!! Not cool at all.
Tracy C — Google review
Feel like this once-lovely place has gone really downhill. Popped in 4 times in recent months and the service has been eye-wateringly slow every single time. Today I’ve sat outside for 15mins on a dirty table. Eventually go inside as no one came out… waited 10mins at the counter to even be acknowledged by the two guys working, let alone order. Has taken 30mins to receive my coffee, and then the girl walked away leaving the previous customers dirty cups. When I called her back, she seemed shocked I might want the dirty stuff removed. The previous times… the same, slow slow service, lack of care or urgency. I can’t work out whether they need more staff or new staff, but it’s sad to see it wasn’t just a one off a few months back.

Had a English breakfast which was very nice . Service was good and the staff were very helpful. It has outside tables and a retractable awning which came in handy as it began to rain while we were eating our food.

Had my mum's 70th at The Oakleigh on a Saturday afternoon and it was simply superb. Martyn and the team couldn't do enough for us, very accommodating as the number of guests increased. The buffet meal was excellent, the atmosphere cracking (a few of us stayed into the evening) and all round it went off so well. Couldn't recommend it enough as a party venue.

We celebrated a hen do, there was 9 of us and right from walking in, the service was fantastic. The food was gorgeous and the drinks kept coming, we never wanted for anything. We will definately be returning again soon…. And thinking up any excuses to do more bottomless brunches. It was busy later on and the dance floor was full of everyone having a great time. DJ played great music

It's very noisy, very busy. Drunk women fighting, shouting... Classy. The kitchen was closed because they were overwhelmed. The toilets were dubious but not terrible. The door supervisors were excellent; great communication, vigilant, teamwork was good and their actions were proportionate to the situations. Might be better to visit at a quieter time!

Below average roast. The portion size was a joke, I thought I had the kids one by mistake. Small handful of soggy potatoes, no crisp whatsoever. Hard chewy cabbage/kale. At least spend a couple more pennies and add some carrots! Beef was nice and rare/soft but that's about it. I know it was small as my 93 year old nan cleared her plate! Very disappointed. Service was excellent.

Bakery
Although this is not an official endorsement, our organization recently sought out a local bakery near a remote venue for breakfast treats. The assistance and service we received were excellent, and the quality of the food matched it. The bakery promptly delivered to the remote location as promised and maintained communication leading up to the event, accommodating changes in our order. Overall, their service was exceptional. Unfortunately, due to being busy at the event, we only had the chance to sample three items instead of indulging further.
My Mum was absolutely delighted with her wedding cake! The fruit cake was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Karen was super responsive to all of my emails, sourced the artifical flowers on my behalf, and the lovely ladies in the Eastwood shop even carried it to the car for me! Thank you to the whole team - great product and service 😊
Annabel T — Google review
I genuinely don’t understand how they’re employed. We walked into the shop packed full with customers, and there lie 5 teenage employees looked as though of the age 17-18 serving them. There was a lack of structure and control and so unaware that it was our turn - we heard a low distant call -“who’s next?” We squeezed through bundle of people and finally arrived face to face - with a girl. We told her what we wanted, something with raisins. Directly infront of us stood a pastry, staring at us in the eyes - and yet she replied with an egotistical tone: “we don’t have any”. Are we deadass 🥀. How incompetent do you have to be; we asked her a second time to look in the back - offering her a second chance to redeem herself - she failed miserably. Frustrated i pointed a finger at the pastry i craved - “sorry about that”.
Paul D — Google review
I have been going many years but this morning I was very disappointed with the service. Last week I bought a fruit loaf and nearly broke my tooth on a very hard piece that looked like a stone. The manage said that she would give me a new loaf. However when I went to collect it this morning she refused to give me the loaf saying that it wasn’t a stone but a piece of extremely hard date which would have caused damage if I had bitten on it. The assistant served someone else whilst I was waiting and completely ignored me and started writing in a book.

Whilst not an official corporate endorsement, as an organisation we were looking for a bakery local to a remote venue we were using to provide some breakfast treats. The help and service we received was brilliant, and the food was to match. the Bakery delivered to our remote location, at the time they promised and stayed in contact up the the event and accommodated our change in order. Brilliant service all round. just sorry I was too busy at the event so didn't get to eat more than three to replace lunch after we had done - could easily have polished a box off!

Nestled in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, Liquid Flair is not just your average café; it’s a vibrant community hub that celebrates delicious food and warm hospitality. This charming spot welcomes families and their furry companions alike, making it an ideal place to unwind. Whether you're craving a hearty meal or a delightful milkshake, Liquid Flair has something for everyone.
Been using liquid flair for over a decade, never had any issues and I order at least once a week. Bread is always fresh and any food I've had has always been good quality. Milkshakes are really good. It's rare that I go into the cafe but when I have it's been a great experience. Coffee cups for takeaway could be bigger for the ratio of milk to espresso but that's personal preference so only order when I need a strong coffee. Cakes are fresh and yummy. There's a lot of competition in Leigh and I would happily rate liquid flair as my favourite.
Katie S — Google review
After ordering this for the second time. And a BLT with added lettuce, cucumber and onion bread was stale and one slice of cucumber three or four strands of lettuce. And to top it off I ordered a cookie at nearly £3.00 Which didn't turn up. So overall I'm not impressed and I will definitely not be spending £21.00 with this company again pictures tell the story of what I received. Each photo explains what the chili and pasta was like and as for the greenery on top it was shrivelled and look like weeds from the garden.

Indian restaurant
Indian takeaway
Bombay Restaurant has recently undergone a transformation under new ownership, and it’s making waves in the culinary scene. After years of hesitation due to past experiences, patrons are now raving about their delightful meals. The tandoori king prawns and chicken are cooked to perfection, moist and flavorful, while the vegetable sides are both tasty and light on oil. Guests have praised the attentive service from staff members who create a welcoming atmosphere.
We went to Bombay for our anniversary meal on Friday night. Stumbled on this lovely little restaurant by accident, what a wonderful accident it was! I was blown away by the food the friendliness and the atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and came just before it got busy, food was really quick and was honestly the best lamb Balti I have ever had. Then to top off a lovely meal, I was given a red rose and 2 complementary drinks for myself and my husband. The whole experience was delightful, real above and beyond, personal and friendly service; which you just don’t get anymore. You could tell the place was full of locals and greeted as such. Again that level of personal service is rare, we were also so surprised at how reasonably priced it was. £37 for popadoms, 2 mains with rice and 2 drinks. Safe to say we have found our new Indian!

This restaurant is under new ownership. I had avoided this place for many years due to the previous owners poor service and quality of food. We heard good things about Bombay recently and decided to give it a try - we were not disappointed! Tandoori king prawns, tandoori chicken both came out perfectly cooked and not dry like some other establishments. Veg sides were not oily and were very tasty Service was on point. The bill was reasonable Will now be making this our new go to place in Leigh

In the process of moving to Leigh on Sea and had the most wonderful meal at Bombay. Brilliant menu suitable for groups of carnivores and veggies. Lovely quality ingredients and each dish was individiually flavoured and brilliant spicing. Prorbably the best Indian meal we have had! Definitely highly recommended. Ordered far too much but ate it all. Good sized portions.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal this evening, served by very polite & attentive staff. Kobia, the owner, introduced himself, and is a lovely warm host. The food was outstanding, presented nicely, in a spotlessly clean restaurant. The chicken dish was fresh and cooked beautifully. My husband had a lamb dish and judges the restaurant on the quality of the lamb. He said it’s the best lamb he’s had in any Indian restaurant and scores 5stars+ Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return

What a lovely spot - everyone must try!! The mix between Caribbean and English food is delightful and such a tasty initiative for brunch. My meal (monkey bowl with chicken) had a beautiful mix of flavours both sweet and spicy, with fresh and seasoned vegetables and chicken, and perfectly cooked rice. A great spot for some brunch. Feedback on the pancakes and English breakfast were also amazing and super tasty. The decor also!! What a beautifully decorated place - definitely stands out!

I have been wanting to dine at Magic Monkeys Restaurant for a while and I am so glad that I have found this little gem of a restaurant. The staff were amazing, so accomodating. The food was incredible. I could have chosen from anything on the menu which made my decision difficult and I finally settled on a Magic Monkey bowl with some sides and it was stunning. Very reasonably priced too which made the whole experience even more perfect for my overdue catch up with a friend. Perfect atmosphere for drinks and food with friends Also, they rustled up a beautiful cocktail for me which was stunning (should have took a photo)

Visited for Saturday Brunch, the food was delicious, everyone in our group enjoyed their dishes, cocktails were expertly mixed and presented. Service was efficient and friendly. Great music playlist as well, only two minor issues, would be great if the beer choice was more extensive, maybe a selection of craft beers and some of the menus were very tatty and need replacing, highly recommended and will certainly return in the future.

We hired Magic Monkey with exclusive use to celebrate a Hen Brunch - From start to end, the planning stages were easy, a delicious food platter was delivered on the day, the music was good vibes and the girls working our event were just so lovely! We will definitely be back.

We were lucky to stumble across the Magic Monkey this morning. The menu is incredible. A range of traditional and ‘proper’ Caribbean fusion dishes. They actually have Doubles on the brunch menu (if you know, you know!). We had the avocado on rye and the traditional English breakfast. The food was so amazingly fresh with such incredible flavour and beautiful presentation. And to top it of Jenel the Co-owner is literally the nicest person you could want to meet. Her passion for their food and the experience as a diner is exemplary. Magic Monkey is truly a rare find - cool ambience, superb menu, fantastic people. Literally a 10 out of 10. So much so we booked to go back for dinner later this evening! More than just dining out - a culinary experience. This place deserves much love and good things. Hugs. Faye & Andy xx

We have just been for brunch at this adorable restaurant in Leigh-on-Sea. The food was absolutely lovely, I had the Bannoffee French Toast and it was unbelievably good. A member of our party is coeliac and had the sourdough with halloumi and said it was the best GF breakfast out she has had. The decor is really cool and comfy at the same time which added to the experience but the service was the icing on the cake. Our waitress was so kind, friendly and engaging. She helped make sure our GF member was okay with the full order and even added a candle to my French toast after discovering it was my birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the overall experience. The only thing I would say is the menu is a bit limited, I didn't bring my extremely fussy son as I knew there would be nothing he'd opt for, in hindsight, I now think the establishment would have been accommodating and maybe serve a more basic option for him (so I would definitely bring him next time). All in all, very much worth a visit, very reasonably priced and I hope this small business gets the support it deserves to thrive. Thank you for a lovely brunch Magic Monkey.

I do love a Wimpy!! This place was spotlessly clean. The service was excellent. The food was served pretty quickly and cleanly and tasted good. I like the fact that you still get proper crockery and cutlery in a Wimpy, too. Also, the ladies' toilet was very clean. I have a friend who lives in Welling in Kent and she just informed me that her local Wimpy has closed down ... I do hope that doesn't happy in Leigh on Sea!!??😊👍

Have been to 2 e events at this venue, both fabulous. Love the Art Deco decoration, beautiful lighting, which can be further decorated to suit individual tastes i.e table centres, balloons, flowers, music etc. Staff are obliging and friendly. The wedding fayre today (2.3.2025) looks fantastic! I would chose this venue again. Recommended.

Words cannot express my thanks to Lisa, Stefan and the team in making our wedding day perfect. The venue looked absolutely stunning and everyone of my guests commented on how beautiful it was. The food was outstanding and Mike had us dancing all night with the music. Thank you again so so much.

Had my 40th birthday there and it was absolutely perfect! The staff were so attentive and helpful, the venue is beautiful and needed little extra decoration as it’s so beautifully done already, the team laid out the perfect number of tables v dance floor - the whole night was perfect. Highly recommend and will be back to host another event next year. Thank you Arlington Ballroom!!

Had our girls annual Xmas event here on Saturday night. The food was awful, dry turkey, gravy like water no taste to it at all. Starters and deserts also very disappointing, went home hungry!! will not be going back.

We enjoyed a packed 60th birthday party recently in a Saturday evening . Very well laid out and superb service from various members of staff . The building and facilities were spotless There was a live band and we really enjoyed ourselves .

Attended a wedding reception here on Saturday 15th July 2023 - what a lovely venue for this type of event, tables and seating are ideally located with side sofa type alcove seating and large round centre tables - bar and toilets in the reception area, a covered outdoor seating area also at the front, decor and feeling set up the evening reception. Food was also excellent and good portion sizes which can be rare for a wedding..the only downside is no real parking on the premises apart from 5 spaces but roadside parking almost next door. Would highly recommend this a venue for this type celebration of around 100 people or less 👌👍

Great sweet treats and coffee - it’s always so difficult to make a decision because they all look so amazing! Some great vegan options, too. The place is beautifully decorated and has a few tables inside and out. Staff are lovely and friendly. I had a bueno stuffed cookie which was delicious and huge!, and the coffee is of really nice quality. Such a gem for a sweet tooth, I always want to buy the whole counter.

Popped in to treat ourselves to some tasty desserts after finding this place on Instagram. The cafe itself was beautiful! Cute seating and wall decor and a lovely floral ceiling which was very pretty. The choice of desserts was very generous, and we took a fair while to decide! We opted for a Smarties pie and a Jam & Cream Blondie. Both were delicious, not too sweet or sickly, and we’d definitely return again to try something new next time we’re in the area.

We ordered our wedding cake from Wilma's and were absolutely over the moon with it, everything we asked for is what we got, the communication was great, nothing was too much trouble and Gemma made sure every detail was as we wanted. The cake really did look and taste incredible, we had so many compliments from our guests about it. Thank you so much for making our wedding cake just perfect for us and we can highly recommend Wilma's to anyone else who is looking for a fabulous cake!

A review from the heart for one of the loveliest businesses I've had the pleasure of working with! I ordered the tall vegan lotus/biscoff gold cake for my wedding day and it was PHENOMENAL! I also ordered the vegan brownies which were so delicious I nearly ate them all myself. Support small businesses, because the care, attention to detail and love that is poured into the work is what makes everything so special! Without going into a long story, things were quite comically going wrong before my wedding day. It was the day before and I was picking up my cake, but due to an overseas order error it wasn't in the shop for pick-up. Here comes the best part, the ladies working at the shop were on the phone helping me to figure it out. Before I knew it I was where the magic happens (the big kitchen) and meeting Will and Gemma. They not only had my stunning cake ready to go, they spent time to chat to me and reassure me that "things go wrong in the dress rehearsal, so everything can go right on the day". I will never forget their kindness and will remember the delicious cake and brownies forever!

All the drinks were flat in the machine except the Fanta. And when I emptied my flat Coca Cola out and replaced it with Fanta the lady behind the counter told me off as they aren’t refillable. In that case don’t serve flat drinks. Additionally, I ordered a create my own and she didn’t even ask what meat I wanted she just chose for me. Lastly, the woman was rather grumpy the whole time I was there. If you want subway go to another franchise.
Harley T — Google review
I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this Subway location. One of your employees consistently behaves in a rude and unprofessional manner. Not only is her attitude dismissive and unpleasant, but she also shows a complete disregard for basic hygiene standards. She takes payments at the register and then continues making food without changing her gloves — a serious health concern that should not be overlooked. I raised this issue previously and spoke with the manager, who apologized at the time. However, today I witnessed something that made it clear this complaint wasn’t taken seriously. The same employee asked the manager if I was the one who had complained, and instead of addressing it professionally, the manager confirmed it and they both laughed about it. Completely unacceptable. This experience has left me questioning whether this location values its customers at all. I hope someone higher up sees this and takes action, because the current management is clearly not handling things appropriately.

Food Shack Street Food offers a diverse and satisfying menu with generous portions. The Chicken Gyros, although not traditional, was described as delicious and the Margarita pizza was fresh and oven-hot. The service is excellent with friendly and attentive staff. The paella was highlighted as a standout dish that could easily serve two people. Additionally, the seafood dishes were praised for their freshness and great flavors.
Popped in for lunch when we were at the beach nearby - service was great (friendly and attentive but not overbearing) and the food was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and the seafood was all extremely fresh-tasting. Dessert was also fantastic. Very unpretentious environment and a classic seafood menu with amazing flavours. Clearly a place that really cares about doing things to the highest standard. We spent about £80 on two mains, one dessert (big enough to share) and two rounds of soft drinks including service and felt it was very reasonable value given the cost of ingredients, location and extremely generous portion sizes. Will be back.

Stopped by for a quick drink. Located on the main road through Leigh-on-Sea. Nice Italian/English (mostly Italian) restaurant. Not a huge place and the tables inside are a bit tightly packed but thankfully we went after the lunch time rush so were able to get a table inside because it was so hot outside, they do have seats outside on a balcony along the front though. Really beautiful look to the place, modern with a Mediterranean feel.We didn't stay to eat but the menu did look very enticing. Service was very welcoming, inviting and friendly, thanks to the young lady working the bar, she was very helpful. Drinks choice was good at reasonable prices. If we get chance to visit Leigh-on-Sea again I'd definitely like to try the food there.

I cannot express enough how good an experience I have had in Zabrano in the past. The food is fantastic, be it the a la carte, the tapas menu, or the lunches. It has a very good selection of drinks, particularly wines, and very friendly and courteous staff. I would definitely recommend that you visit.
David R — Google review
Roast dinner was cold. Vegetables and the plate was cold. Attitude of the supposed Manager was that vegetables are supposed to be this way because of the way they are cooked. Over ten people in our group. Several unhappy customers. Meals were heated up then served again so in the end it was pretty much inedible. A frozen roast dinner from a corner shop would be higher quality. To make matters worse we were overcharged. No apology. No explanation for the hour and a half I took to serve starters. Awful attitude of staff. Worst meal I've had in this town.

With over 25 years of history in the area, this charming café recently underwent a sustainable refurbishment that has breathed new life into its inviting atmosphere. The highlight here is undoubtedly the Curious Roo coffee, celebrated for its rich flavor and exceptional quality—truly some of the best around!
This is a lovely new coffee shop in an area which really needs one. Good quality Curious Roo coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and the most amazing cakes! We tried the carrot cake and honey and bergamot - can't wait to try the rest. On the one hot day we had recently, I also had a refreshing mango gelato. We've only had takeaway, but there are some tables and chairs inside and out if you want to eat there. Fabulous place!

Just wanted to say what a fantastic space this is @dashcoffeelab ! The coffee roasting course has been an absolutely amazing experience! Cris and Sid designed this so well, not even once felt overwhelmed or distracted. The information and hands on approach was very simple to remember and follow. I had a great time and went back home "full of beans" - literally and figuratively speaking!! The smell that comes with freshly roasted beans, that is an experience by itself. Not to mention the ease of using a coffee roaster!! Big shout out to @cormorant roasters , absolutely loved your equipment!!! Even more impressive, that you have designed and had built every single unit!! How impressive is that, absolutely blown away! Huge thanks again for this amazing experience that left me inspired and buzzing for days( and, no, not because of too much coffee)!_

For our wedding anniversary, we wanted a special dining experience and initially tried to reserve a table at the Chelmsford branch. However, it was fully booked until 21:00. Fortunately, after checking online, we managed to secure a reservation at Rayleigh. We promptly received a confirmation text and email detailing the date and time of our booking, along with a reminder to register our vehicle upon parking. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and looked after by Sarah, who proved to be an excellent host. She took our drinks orders and went out of her way to assist my wife in choosing suitable gluten-free options from the menu. For our meal, my wife and I decided to share the indulgent Butcher’s Block, while our 14-year-old son, who has a hearty appetite, chose the Black Angus Sirloin Steak, Grilled Lobster Tail, and Mac & Cheese. After enjoying our drinks and desserts, the total came to approximately £60 per person. The evening was a fantastic way to celebrate our anniversary. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our meal, with everything cooked to perfection. The fillet steak, in particular, was so tender it hardly needed chewing—simply wonderful!

A shout out to Julie who was warm and welcoming. Ensure our drinks were topped up and checked in on us how our food was which made our experience even better that I’d come back to sit in her section so thank you. I ordered the pan seared scallops and pork belly to start. I thought the scallops were slightly overcooked but apart from that, the pork belly was super soft and the miso dressing complimented it well. Would have been nice to have more cress on my plate however. My partner ordered the cheesy garlic bread, could do with a little bit more garlic but the bread was very soft. For mains, my partner ordered the 16oz ribeye with triple cooked chips, red wine sauce garlic mayo wedge. And myself, I ordered the wagyu ribeye with triple cooked chips, bone marrow sauces and spicy burnt chilli dressing for the wedge. Both steaks were amazing but the wagyu steak was definitely our favourite! The bone marrow sauce does get sickly after a while, same for Grana Padano on the wedge. But the spicy burnt chilli and crispy onions dressing on the wedge was soo refreshing, couldn’t recommend that dressing enough! Very happy with our experience.

We ordered the Sunday sharing platter, which was cooked perfectly and more than enough for two hungry people. Somehow still managed to squeeze in two desserts – both were delicious! Highly recommend the crème brûlée and the banoffee pie. They also have a great deal on at the moment – 2 mocktails for £10, which was a lovely bonus. Great food, great quality!

Last minute decision to have breakfast and coffee here on a Tuesday morning after a long walk! Sat in the outside area under cover. Waiting staff very friendly, took our drinks orders which arrived quickly after ordering. We then decided to order food, which again arrived quickly after ordering. There were several other tables occupied so, middle-to busy. I highly recommend the sour dough it was incredibly tasty! Would love to return again, very enjoyable.

A little gem of a café. Very dog friendly (including their own choice on the menu). Wonderful garden type atmosphere. Great food choice (we tried the kippers and were not disappointed). We were lucky when we visited as it was midweek (it can get very busy at weekends), so get there early to avoid disappointment.

Asian European bistro dining at its best, beautifully prepared, presented and served. Can be a little noisy at times however last night was a dream come true with 40% occupancy and an ecleptic range of ages, couples and groups. Food is exquisite for a moderate price, well worth a visit peeps!

We both enjoyed our visit to the Dining Rooms. We went on a Tuesday night a bring your own wine night. The restaurant was buzzing and found staff very pleasant. The menu was was interesting and our waitress took our order. Our waitress was very attentive and came across well. We both had white bait to start which I found disappointing. The fish were overcooked and very large for white bait. My main course of slow cooked belly pork was a little on the dry side but still enjoyable. We decided against having s sweet. The price was reasonable and we will go back again in the future. We found the restaurant to be quite noisy. The general service was very good with waiting cut to a minimum.

Great place to eat, good menu with portions just the right size. Very well cooked and served. Staff polite and friendly but not over so. Good atmosphere and well designed restaurant with the right feel to it. Napkins were a bit cheap and didn't match with the surroundings and quality, easily changed. A good night out.

This fully licensed restaurant serves up an array of hearty breakfast options alongside mouthwatering burgers, sizzling fajitas, and fresh seafood dishes—all made with locally sourced ingredients. With generous portions designed to satisfy any appetite, diners can indulge in a delightful culinary experience.
We visited the estuary on Monday for lunchtime we didn't have any reservation but the venue wasn't that busy, we ordered the estuary burger and the breaded goat cheese salad, the portions are a good size and if you order the mains normally they come with two sides, even chicken wings!!. The vibes in the restaurant were good but a little bit tight between tables, it wasn't that busy so the service was quick and easy and the food came relatively quickly. Personally the onion rings on the burger weren't that great and the salad was short of beetroots just a few here and there but definitely it was tasty. Thank you so much to the staff for the service.

Too expensive for what we received for breakfast. Food was tasteless and came to over £40 for 2 for not a great breakfast. Now we know why the other breakfast places were full and this one was nearly empty on a weekend. Service started out ok, but everything was soooooo slow. would not go back there!

Very overpriced for food! I work in the hospitality industry and found the waitresses uninterested and blunt. My food was not how it was described on the menu so was left feeling very unimpressed by the server when questioned on this as nothing was done to rectify my meal. Ordered the flaming fajitas and only came with 4 tiny wraps, which was too small for you to fit all of the filling in without it causing a huge mess. asked for more wraps and they charged a £1 for the extra wraps, if I had known that I wouldn't have ordered. The seating for 2 people was up against the wall, crammed in like sardines and kept getting nudged by the person behind due to the lack of space, the tables are all awkwardly four legged, which makes it uncomfortable to put your feet down. The final was the 10% tip they include on the bill without asking, I don't think that's good practice.

Gallacher's Smokehouse Bar And Grill, located in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, offers a diverse menu featuring pork ribs, prime steaks, and fish. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but opens from Wednesday to Sunday. Visitors praise the vegetarian options and commend the attentive owner who ensures that meals are prepared according to customers' preferences. The welcoming atmosphere and delicious cocktails add to the dining experience.
From a vegetarian view this place is great. The owner looked after my husband and I very well, they cooked my husband's meal just the way he liked it and that's not very often that he gets what he asked for and for myself I had 4 lovely meals to choose from. I had veg Wellington and that was very yummy. The people r very welcoming and it was nice to see the owner working and Chatting to the customer's. The cocktails were very nice too, not many to choose from but very nice. This place is not very big so u would probably be best to book. Will definitely go here again and I would recommend to meat and none meat eaters 😁

Fourth visit for me. It was ok, the manager as always was a delight. A little on the pricey side and the approx 10% service charge was mandatory which always ruffles my feathers. Service was pleasant and with a smile but interrupting a little too regularly to be honest, especially for Valentine's evening. The food is always good here, tipple fried chips a delight, but deep brown in colour and may not be to everyone's taste (perhaps there are options?). I'm a rib fan and these are simply divine. However I had the 'half and half' which turned out to be 3 bbq ribs and around 8 much larger dry rub....??? The 3 small bbq ribs quite disappointing. The pulled pork burger was ok but again on the pricy side. All in all an ok night but a little underwealming, but won't be returning too soon. Could do with revitalising I guess. A shocking response from management on Trip Advisor... Hello Lee Underwhelmed is not good. I'm sorry that you left our restaurant less than delighted. I note this was you fourth visit so I guess we aren't that bad or you would not have returned three times. You visited on Valentines night and we were extremely busy as one would expect. We served 85 guests in our 44 seat restaurant and I'm pleased to report that the vast majority were delighted that they chose us to celebrate with their significant other. I have looked at your bill and orders and also studied the CCTV footage. Your feathers were unnecessarily ruffled. We have never and will never charged a mandatory (compulsory) service charge. Our menu clearly states "A discretionary 10% service charge is added to all bills. This is shared between all staff, front and back of house". Most restaurants in our vicinity have a similar policy. The CCTV shows your waitress checking in with you twice, and re visiting your table once more to enquire if you would like your drinks replenished. She did a table check when you received your mains and once when you received your pudding. So a total of three times. The reason they check in is to ensure that you are delighted with your meals. Had you mentioned that your baby back rib portion was smaller than you desired she would have immediately and without argument or fuss brought you some more free of charge. There was no pulled pork sandwich/burger ordered. A Ribwich (rib meat off the bone) was ordered, and a half and half rib meal. We use only fresh, British meat in our restaurant and the processes that we use to create authentic American style BBQ are extremely labour intensive. Hence we will never be a "cheap eats" establishment. If we used frozen meat and the "boil in the bag" technique for our ribs we could charge less, but we never will. There's an old saying that is as true today as it has ever been "You get what you pay for". I note that you will not be returning soon. If you ever do please voice any concerns or disappointments in the restaurant at the time of service and we will bend over backwards to rectify any error or issue. Kind Regards Adrian Gallacher.

Visited 3pm saturday afternoon. The staff were pleasant enough but that's all the positives I have to say about it. 4 of us ordered buffalo wings they were soft and watery the sauce had no flavour or spice at all. We were asked if we wanted a sauce with them so we asked for blue cheese. We were told it would take a couple of minutes to prepare. When they returned we were asked if everything was alright and I told them the buffalo wings had no flavour/spice and was told by the waitress that they were supposed to have no spice if we wanted hot we should have asked for the hot wings as they were the spicy ones. The blue cheese sauce was a melted, watery, oily cheese sauce which had split and was awful and also had no flavour. At that point we felt it was futile to complain as if they were supposed to be like that then we would get nowhere you could see just by looking at it that it had split. My kids had plain burgers one came out with mustard mayo and we had to send it back my wife had the SOB burger all of them were dry and tasteless. I had the pig out meal which was a variety of meats. The sausage was nice but the ribs and chicken were covered in a black tar like substance which tasted like burnt sugar the chicken was cooked ok but I couldnt taste it because of the Sauce and the ribs were dry. The pulled pork was not great either. The coleslaw looked like it had been sat out for hours and had that yellow dry look where the mayo had relaxed and left the veg sitting in the open air and the mayonnaise had a yellow skin on it had been sat out for so long. The waitress saw my son pull the skin off with his fingers ignored it and gave us two more one of which also had a yellow skin on too. The bill came to over £100 and if I'm honest it was the worst meal I've ever paid that kind of money for. I've eaten in some amazing American style smokehouse restaurants both here and in the US and this is unfortunately like none of them and is just as expensive. I could have complained more but honestly felt that there was no point as all the food was so bad I dont think they could have known how to correct it. When they collected the plates after each course they seemed to be oblivious to the fact that hardly any of the food apart from the chips were eaten. I would like to Add as an answer to the owners reply that the wings and most of the ribs were left on the plate because both were awful. It was most definitely not a plate of bones sent back why would I say I enjoyed the sausage and comment the chicken was cooked ok and then say the rest wasnt. Who brings buffalo wings to a table without a blue cheese or ranch dip then charges £2 for a pot of melted split sauce? No one apart from your restaurant. Buffalo wings ARE supposed to be spicy they dont have to be ridiculously hot but they should definitely have flavour and a kick. Yours were like water and tasted nothing like buffalo wings whatsoever. Maybe you should try a bottle of Frank's buffalo hot sauce so you can understand the flavour profile you should aim to achieve. Or better still head into London. Shoreditch has a superb range of smokehouses you should try some of their menu to understand the standard you should try to achieve and at the same time it will highlight the poor standard of your own food. Why weren't we told that it was a steak sauce which to be honest would have ruined a good steak. Obviously my knowledge of smoked bbq far outways that of your restaurant management. I know what bbq sauce is and what it looks like and how it tastes this "tar like substance" which you claim to be bbq sauce was nothing like anything I've ever experienced and unfortunately not in a good way. I would also like to add you have failed to defend the mayonnaise you served and whilst I know what the SOB burger is it doesnt change the fact that is was dry. Furthermore correcting someone and lying about what we finished on our plate as well as your attitude online wishing me well in the manner you have is unprofessional and just plain rude. I'm sorry you dont like criticism however that's life.

Glad that Gallacher's is reopened again! Ribs are smashing as usual but reduced menu for smoked items...missing chicken and pulled pork...due to reduced customers post Covid. Hopeful menu comes online! Will go again.

So many places now offer smoked BBQ food and get it wrong. This place however is perfection! They definitely know what they are doing with the smokers. They let the meat speak for its self, seasoned perfectly opposed to just covering it in sugar loaded sauce. Seasoned fries and cornbread where spot on. Craft beer offerings matched the smokey food really well. (this is the only food review I have ever bothered to write. That says it all really)

Modern European restaurant
The Inn At Belfairs is a charming eatery with an abundance of natural light, adorned with greenery, blooms, and bird cages. It offers comforting and timeless dishes. This delightful little pub has garnered great reviews, which set high expectations for visitors. However, it successfully lives up to the hype. The food is both delicious and reasonably priced, while the service is exceptional with attentive staff always on hand to assist. The interior decor adds to the overall appeal of this establishment.
We’ve tried to visit The Inn at Belfairs a few times before but always found it too busy — so this time, we made the effort to arrive a bit earlier, and I’m so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how beautifully decorated the space is. It’s clear that a lot of care and thought has gone into creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were absolutely lovely — friendly, smiling, and clearly enjoying what they do, which really added to the overall experience. The garden area is another highlight: spacious, well-kept, and perfect for a relaxed meal or drink outdoors. While the outdoor menu is slightly smaller, there’s a full indoor menu available as well. We also found out they serve breakfast from 10am, so we’re already planning to return tomorrow to try it out! Between the three of us, we enjoyed a selection of mains, desserts, and drinks — all of which were delicious. The bill came to just over £100, which we felt was excellent value for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great spot with charm, good food, and genuinely lovely staff.

Visited with my lady, my father & his wife for a Saturday night meal. Plenty of free parking on the road outside & round the back beside Belfairs park. Classy interior with roof trellis with flowers & lighting. There were inflatables and some open air party/music going on outside but fortunately this didn't intrude on the interior of the restaurant. All staff encountered were warm & welcoming and a credit to the establishment. Beer Battered Fish & Chips ×3 10oz Ribeye Steak Trio of Sorbet ×2 Mint Aero Cheesecake Treacle & Pecan Tart A lovely meal which we unamiously agreed on, good presentation with well faced plates, decent portion sizes and pleasing flavours throughout. Portions of cod had nice crisp batter, zero bones and a well cooked portion of fish. My ribeye steak was medium/rare and came out a treat. No gristle or excessive fat on the meat. The grilled asparagus was nice as an addition to the triple cooked chips, which were splendid and came with a decent serving of peppercorn sauce. We all had a very good time and will be coming back in the future.

We were recommended to, by a friend, to come and enjoy the food and service and the place. What a great friend I have! The food, Sunday roast, I had the Meat platter, a full experience of all the meats available for a Sunday roast. Pork belly, beef, gammon, and lamb along with a descent Yorkshire pudding, decent roast potatoes, stuffing and some very lovely vegetables. As my friend did, I would absolutely recommend coming to this fine establishment. Service was impeccable and very attentive and lovely. The setting is also lovely, flowerery, and relaxing. Price wise, considering the world currently and how things are with restaurants and entertainment venues, very reasonable and prices were, imo, decent. I doff my cap to the management as is a very professionally ran establishment and the class of staff and food is quality. Hats off to the chefs also. 👌🏻

Visited The Inn last night for outdoor cinema. Around 30 minutes before the start there was a rumble of thunder and a flash of lightning followed by a torrential downpour and huge hailstones. The staff were absolutely outstanding, doing their best to make sure customers were ok whilst being soaked and freezing themselves. Everyone was offered seating inside and bbq food was delivered and delicious. We had a dog with us and were even offered a bin bag to put under his bed to keep it as dry as possible. Thanks again to all staff who helped to make a difficult situation an experience to remember.

Belfairs Inn As a frequent customer here I am sad to say this resturant is very much a hit and miss depending on what days you go…Friday seems to be the best day for the chef on duty. Excellent fish and chips on two different occasions. (a Friday) Monday the fish and chips were all reheated and tasted absolutely awful… (not a good taste reheated well done F&C) I did tell the waitress but she didn’t want to know. Friday someone next to me had prawn salad with all the scrumptious bits. wow huge on the plate it looked amazing with iceberg lettuce too (I hate that other mixed bag lettuce) Tuesday I took a friend telling her how amazing the food was. The salad looked nothing like Friday’s salad, with the small plate yielding more mixed bag salad than anything else (menu states iceberg lettuce) It was disgusting! My friend had the fish cutlet sandwich… it was fish fingers on brown bread that you could have used as a door stop., more hard bread than filling. We did say we were not happy but no response from the waiter we told. The amount left on the plate said it all…The prices for all of this substandard food is extortionately expensive! Once I could say it’s a bad day for one meal but that was four meals…

Upsides - pleasant setting and atmosphere. Waiter cleaned daughters baby plate and cutlery before we left. High chair provided on request. Downsides - We’d waited a while for our desserts and shortly after they came the waiting staff approached us at 14:21 to politely remind us that the table was needed at 14:30. With only 9 minutes to go we finished our desserts quickly and paid before swiftly exiting. Whilst we did this another member of the waiting team came over to remind us that the table was needed and I advised that we were aware. We were charged £7.00 for a jug of soda water and lime cordial which I didn’t see as fair value. The portion sizes were average and the roast lamb was thinly sliced - would expect more for the price. Overall - reminding us twice that the table was needed when people were still having desserts was really poor, reflected negatively. The £7 charge for a jug of soda water and lime was also poor. Not going to say we will not be back but we will not be as likely to visit again based on this experience.

Mad Dogs & Englishmen Interiors is a restaurant that offers an amazing experience in terms of themed Afternoon tea. They have become well-known for their Harry Potter afternoon tea, which offers a unique experience. The food is amazing and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth the money, and I would definitely go back for another event.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!! This place is incredible. I’ve been here twice and I am still blown away. The attention to detail is incredible, every part of the place is covered in the theme of the afternoon tea. The nutcracker theme was just so beautiful, it felt so cosy. We upgraded to VIP and was well worth the extra money. Got an extra cake and our own little booth. It was also my mums birthday and they bought the cakes out with a candle which was nice touch. Food is amazing, loved the parsnip soup, this was definitely something different to add to an afternoon tea! Cakes are so yummy. I love that the scones and mince pies were lovely a warm, can tell they’re super fresh. Cocktails!!!! - wow!!! - so worth the money! Staff can’t do enough for you, Harriet was our waitress and she was great. Will defiantly be back! Thankyou!! X

This place is just wonderful! We came this time for Wicked themed afternoon tea and from start to finish, everything was superb 👌 We pre ordered one vegetarian and one ordinary meal, which was really easy to do online at the time of booking. If you realise you forgot to order a special requirement they are very helpful on the phone and make any adjustments necessary. If you've been to the show and loved it, know very little about the story or have no interest in the theme, it is such a great vibe that you still walk away having had a great experience. This visit was the first time we sat next door in the waiting area, which was previously just the shop. Tables were set out in cosy arrangements and really set the mood for a lovely afternoon/evening out. The food was really good with a constant flow of included drinks. Would highly recommend getting your booking in early for Christmas 🎄

A really special treat with brilliant visuals. I had The Jungle Book afternoon tea recently. I can't do justice to the setting, where they have decorated every spare centimetre with dressings and props that give you a real sense of occasion over other afternoon teas. Staff are warm and also dressed appropriately! Vast range of interesting teas, cocktails and non alcoholic drinks also available, with music finishing the mood. I only have a slight issue with the food which is good but not up to the level of the decoration. The sandwiches are tasty but very ordinary - not on theme, some frozen fries and a couple of pieces of vegetable on a stick aren't blowing anyone away, a bit stingy on the jam for the scones too, however the cakes were pretty and delicious. I feel bad knocking them a little but it is £45 per person so you expect exceptional food to match the surroundings. Parking is difficult (true of all London Road), with only 1 hour available out the front. Try to find parking in a nearby residential street. Do go for a special occasion as the setting deserves it, but don't expect the most memorable food.

You cannot fault the staff who are honestly lovely and accommodating, the decor had clearly had some real work although the creepy mannequins could be excluded. Tables are beautifully set, the savoury courses are delicious. The scones would have been better if not double baked (to reheat and present warm to the table). The cakes were all pretty and I'm told lovely(had to bring them home as I was full) but was given a gorgeous little box to take them home. Overall I'd say, worth the money for the Standard tea, don't bother upgrading. The team were the highlight.

Me, my mum, auntie, sister and niece who is 3 years old went to the Snow White themed tea for a girls day out. It was absolutely amazing. The decoration was beautiful, the food was delicious and my niece had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to come again and try a new theme.

Had a Grease themed afternoon tea here for a birthday, it was absolutely brilliant the food was lovely, the staff are spot on a very well presented place. So much nicer than the average afternoon tea, played the movie and soundtrack too while enjoying the scrumptious burgers and fries followed by a great selection of fresh sandwiches and cakes and hot baked scones, big pot of fresh tea was definitely worth the money the atmosphere is spot on will definitely be going back as great place to celebrate

A brilliant place to go with friends, family or the other half. The themes are not done lightly they really go to town on decorating the venue, getting the menu to match and add things to the food to incorporate the theme. The food well there’s so much of it, either don’t have breakfast or expect to come home with a doggy bag. Honestly so good, all the staff are so lovely and can’t do enough for you. Highly highly recommend!

Henry Burgers has made a name for itself in the vibrant area of Leigh-on-Sea, having moved from its original spot in Southend. This charming eatery stands out with its sleek design and two-story layout, offering a refreshing alternative to the pricier seafood options nearby. Specializing in high-quality burgers and hot dogs, Henry Burgers keeps its menu concise yet enticing, featuring vegan choices alongside classic favorites.
I go several times to this restaurant. I enjoy the variety of the menu and the incredible atmosphere: very friendly and avant-garde! It is the best place in Southend for a night out. Great cocktails selection and trendy music always. It's "the place" to go with friends, and the place to make friends.

Visited at lunchtime on New Years Eve after a truly disastrous experience at Garrards opposite. Thankfully, Henry Burgers was every bit as good as I’d remembered it! They have a fantastic lunch deal running during the week which includes 2 burgers with fries and any two sides for under £30. I went for the HFC, a spicy buttermilk chicken burger, and my partner opted for the classic cheeseburger. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served in soft, sweet, brioche buns. For the sides we had the Mac and Cheese and the Deep Fried Pickles. Large portions of each, the macaroni was rich and full of flavour and the pickles were served with an amazing, homemade, blue cheese sauce. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because the chips were over cooked and I don’t agree with making servers wear masks in restaurants while it’s not mandatory, as it makes them hard to hear/understand when asking questions about the menu. That being said, service was quick, friendly and efficient. If you want a good burger in Leigh, then look no further. Highly recommended.

Could this be the best burger joint in Essex? A real gem offering indulgent burgers, hot dogs and brilliant cocktails in a relaxed setting. The menu is short but still has tempting choices; basically burgers and hot dogs and a few chicken options. Vegan alternatives are available. The cocktail menu is packed with many different drinks. Likewise plenty of soft, hot and milkshake options too. All the food we had was excellent, though be aware the chilli on the chilli dog is pretty spicy! Service is relaxed to suit the venue but very friendly and happy to tweak dishes and help. 5 of us were delayed by traffic so I was worried our table would be turned over but calling ahead they were very relaxed and we were not hurried at all. Parking is a bit crazy in this part of Leigh; there are a few car parks around but not nearby. Your best bet is to find a space on a road somewhere.

Delicious burgers combined with tasty cocktails. Best place for burgers in Southend. **** Another visit and another delicious burgers was served. All staff is very friendly and will recommend delicious drinks if you would ask. Just have in mind that frozen margarita will freeze your brain 🤪

We had the lunch time special which was a burger and fries for £13.50 and the fries were not downsized as you can see! I had the vegan B12 burger (pictured) which was really flavoursome and the cheese melted beautifully. The service was friendly and casual and the decor was bright and breezy in the restaurant upstairs and they had a lovely area downstairs for drinks which would be great for after work or a Friday or Saturday night. We will definitely be back!

I've been on a few occasions and have never been let down. With a vast selection of cold beer and cocktails to accommodate what I would say is probably one of the best burger you can get. Service is always on par and the staff take pride in what they do. Would highly recommend.

Best burger in Essex (well, I keep searching - but yet to find something that beats it!). I’ve dined at Henry’s since it first opened, so less of a review of one experience, but more a culmination of many over many years. From quick bites to large groups for special occasions, cocktails and brunch - I’ve found it almost faultless. Must tries are the Henry Fried Chicken burger, the house Bloody Mary, some of the great selection of craft beers served in a chilled glass, deep fried pickles with blue cheese dip… and that’s just to name a few. You won’t be disappointed, and the staff are always incredibly friendly. Long may Henry’s continue to be so good!

Great burgers, great sides - lovely local Leigh beers. Chilled atmosphere on a sunny Saturday afternoon, even with our 6 year in tow. Very much recommended.

This eatery is famous for its seafood selection featuring English classics like jellied eels and whelks as well as less common fare such as octopus and crayfish.
The seafood here is unbelievably fresh — every bite is pure joy! I couldn’t stop eating. Pair it with an ice-cold beer from the pub next door, and you’ve got yourself the recipe for a perfect day. Seriously, this seafood stall is an absolute gem! So full of flavor, heart, and good vibes — I loved everything about it. And the little street it’s on? Peaceful, charming, and just perfect for anyone who enjoys soaking up the beauty of a slow, lovely day. You’ll want to stay awhile.

I’ve never been to a shop like this before, especially as a visitor from overseas. What an experience! Matt, one of the staff members, was brilliant. He explained everything to us and allowed us to sample some seafood that we hadn’t seen before. It was definitely worth the visit!

The conundrum with seafood restaurants is that you can always compare it to other places... So yes this is Leigh on Sea and you won't have the same seafood platter served in Honfleur or Le Touquet or Stockholm ! For Southend, Osborne's is pretty much the best place around to get a half decent platter or small plate if one fancies. I stopped by and had a few things, 11 quid for it and all the food was ok.

We're new to the area and stopped in for lunch. Despite being super busy, the staff greeted us warmly and seated us super quickly. Food was fast, fresh and affordable. Had the best oysters, and incredible mussels and fries. We will be back!!

Amazing! Fantastic! After finishing off a plate of ✨️🍟chippy chips🍟✨️, I am nearly SPEECHLESS by how delicious that was. The chilli squid was phenomenal, and the kids fish bites were WONDERMENTAL. As soon as I finished my meal, I felt absolutely lifted off my feet. If you live within 100 miles of this place, GO THERE.

From the sea’s bounty to the riches of the land, Osborne’s famous ‘Surf & Turf’ or ‘BBQ’ themed evenings tell a story with every bite. There is much to celebrate about our local produce and the Osborne’s are simply the best at doing so!

We just finished a really wonderful lunch here and everything was lovely. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere and restaurant was stunning. Their lunch deal is a fab offer and you get a choice of starters, mains and desserts, plus a glass of prosecco, wine or soda. I had the hummus, chicken iskender and finished a lemon ice and it was all amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the black and gold features throughout. Lovely restaurant. I really enjoyed the starters and the mains are very generous sized portions. The decor is lovely. Black and gold, which goes very well together. Went there the Friday evening just before Valentine’s to escape the crowds and I’m so glad I did because the restaurant was nice and quiet. Will come again.

Visited here to celebrate my friends 24th birthday. We had an amazing time! The service was incredibly professional and friendly, and the food was to die for. Once finished we were invite up to the upstairs bar for a drink, and the atmosphere was really lovely and joyful. Quite expensive all round, but it’s fair to say you get what you pay for, and it was a treat dinner so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall a great time, would 100% come back!
