Absolutely amazing food – truly one of the best meals we’ve had in Cape Town. The setting is beautiful, nestled among the vineyards of Groot Constantia, and the atmosphere is both relaxed and welcoming. The highlight? The ostrich. Perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor – it was simply divine. Every dish was thoughtfully presented and delicious, showcasing quality ingredients and skillful preparation. The service was equally impressive: warm, genuine, and full of laughter. The staff added a personal touch, sharing jokes and making us feel completely at home. To top it all off, Jonkershuis offers exceptional value for money. This is a place that delivers world-class food and hospitality without the pretentiousness – just honest excellence in every bite and moment. Highly, highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back.

A Delightful Culinary Experience at Simon’s Restaurant From the moment I walked in, Simon’s restaurant offered an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was attentive and helpful, and the food was simply outstanding. The steak was perfectly fried, cooked to perfection with a rich, savory flavor that melted in my mouth. The side dishes complemented the meal beautifully, each bursting with taste and carefully prepared. Every bite was a joy! We only came for a breakfast and left surprisingly satisfied. Staff is great, food is fresh and excellent portion sizes. The prices are a little bit above average, but you’re receiving excellent value for money.

Went for brunch on a rainy winters day and found solace in the cosy, lively cafe. Tasty French toast and salmon scrambled egg croissant. Good coffee too! A little hidden from the road yet still quite busy and worth the stop. Outside area would be lovely in the sunshine. Will need to return in summer!

Spirit Cafe This healthy and vibrant cafe is located in the courtyard of Constantia Village. They focus on healthy and ethical food, and they manage to make it all incredibly delicious. After eating a meal here, I can guarantee your body will feel good, and your taste buds will thank you. The atmosphere is very laid back. I’d say half the customers are meeting friends or family, and the other half are working from their laptops. I must say, their WiFi is really good, so it’s a great spot to work from, and there are quite a few plug points too. I really like the design of this café. It feels very organic and authentic, wooden tables, green couches, plants, and little features that add a homely feel. There’s seating inside and outside in the courtyard. Most of the time, their doors and windows are open, so no matter where you sit, you get fresh air. At the front of the cafe, there’s also a shop selling healthy products, treats, and ready made meals. I can highly recommend giving these a go. My business partner and I are still on our beginning of the year health kick, so we decided to visit Spirit Cafe for breakfast. On arrival, the café was incredibly busy. We decided to sit outside as it was a beautiful day. We popped our bags down to secure the last available table and headed inside to look through the menu and order. Tip: Order inside at the counter, they don’t do table service. We got a warm welcome from the gentleman behind the counter. I ordered a flat white (R42) with almond milk (R10). To eat, I ordered the farmhouse breakfast (R130): two free range eggs, avo or halloumi, tahini greens, and toasted seeds, served with your choice of toast. I opted for soft poached eggs, halloumi, and rye bread. Moments later, my coffee arrived, perfect temperature and absolutely delicious. They make their own almond milk, and I was skeptical since homemade nut milk can be a hit or miss, but this one was good. After a little while, the waiter brought our food. The plate was pretty big, so we quickly removed our laptops to make space. The beautifully plated breakfast arrived, and wow, I was so excited to tuck in. The deep green colours from the sautéed spinach were so inviting. The halloumi was golden brown and crispy. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the toast had just the right amount of butter brushed on. But what really excited me was the broccoli drenched in tahini and generously sprinkled with sunflower seeds. And the taste? Even better than it looked. I started with the spinach. Normally, I’m not a fan, it’s usually watery and bland. But this? Probably the best sautéed spinach I’ve ever had, flavourful with a great texture. The salty halloumi complemented it perfectly. The broccoli was soft, and the combination of creamy umami, sweet tahini, and crunchy seeds made it a completely balanced dish. The rye was nutty and buttered just right. It paired so well with the runny yolk of the poached eggs. I had so much fun with this dish, mixing different bites together. Sooner than I hoped, I demolished my meal. My favourite part? The tahini broccoli. But overall? A 10/10. I cannot wait to eat this again, and knowing that it’s incredibly healthy makes me even more excited. They’re open for breakfast and lunch, and I highly recommend both. Their lunch buffet includes a daily changing main warm dish and a variety of salads. So, come for breakfast and stay for lunch! Also, their Super C smoothie is thick and delicious. I highly recommend it. Overall, I love Spirit Cafe. The food is always top notch, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. ’Til next time!

Had an excellent breakie with my wife and twins. We loved the service and quality of food. Those toasts were phenomenal. So was their own honey. The twins loved the direct access to the very cool playground. Thanks Dylan for looking after us and making our stay so special.

The Lime Tree Benedict on a courgette and ricotta waffle is a winner! I had the salmon, and my husband had it with bacon. Our 13yr old son has been on a mission to find the best Smashed Avo, and after our recent visit he says 'mission accomplished'. Isaac was our awesome server, friendly and efficient. A very pleasant experience, and we are definitely looking forward to our next family breakfast at this gem of a Café. 10/10

We had breakfast in the courtyard and we were so impressed with the coffee, food and service. My husband said the full house breakfast was the best he’s ever had😆 I had the spinach omelette and it was such a generous portion I couldn’t finish it but it was fresh and delicious. It’s busy inside but we had such a nice quiet spot to chat but enough vibe to make it a cool place to go out for a date. We’ll definitely be back.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. Great food, reasonably priced and excellent service. Stunning view and gardens. Lovely outdoor area, and a cosy indoor fire on those chilly days. Wheelchair friendly, and accessible parking.

I did not stay at this beautiful hotel but we enjoyed expertly made cocktails and a lovely dinner at the Belle bistro. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I can’t wait to return.

You still get places where the fast pace of city living isn't catching up with you. Silvermist hotels is a place like that, it's peaceful and relaxing where you can enjoy the beauty of the area, sit back and just relax, enjoy a glass of wine, proudly organic and certified. You can enjoy the pool and recharge, the service is great and the staff is very helpful and friendly and take the time to enjoy the food at the restaurant it's something special.....

Went for an early Sunday afternoon cake break after a nice morning walk by the Constantia greenbelt. The cakes were delicious, and the service was great. Lovely open field just outside the restaurant, overall great place for brunch with friends, or cute date spot.

An absolutely delightful venue, among a choice on site, with gorgeous views, the right amount of shade, good service and relaxed atmosphere. Iced coffee was delicious and then I enjoyed the devilled chicken livers as a treat. The pasta portion was also generous and they happily boxed up leftovers to take home.

Fantastic visit! Staff are super friendly and service was nice and quick. Quite a few vegetarian breakfast options and many pastries and treats to choose from. Very relaxing atmosphere as well, shall be back.

It's such a great place to eat at. Food is a bit pricey but well worth it. The deli part of the deli is a lot smaller than the branch in Gardens. However, the restaurant section is a lot bigger at this Constania branch. I highly recommend you try the coffee crema. They sell the same thing in Italy. However, in Italy, they give you a tiny little cup.

The cafe in Steenberg village is my daily refuge. Friendly staff and the cofee is always good. There is an upstairs dept. The good is really good. There's a small outside area where you can sit with your dog, and water bowl available. It's winter now, so lunch time we have the delicious hot chocolate and the staff kind enough to add marshmallows! There are various shops in this centre as well. So stop for a cuppa after you've done your shop!
