Osteria a Priori is a cozy restaurant and bar located in the heart of Perugia. The establishment offers a wide selection of wines and has a lovely summer terrace for guests to enjoy.
We had the chicken and veal pate, which was very flavorful, and with the fig and cheese combination it was amazing. The cheese was very intense and you could see the great quality from how it crumbled. Second courses were the pork with truffles and the lamb rolle, very tender and well done. The rustic jam tart and the brownie were the best way to end the meal. Everything was very delicious. Very important: make reservations in advance. The place is always full.

My husband and I dined here last night and it was exceptional. We have visited more than 20 cities in Italy and this is the best pasta we’ve ever had - the strangozzi caserecci al tartufo nero. Our waitress, Rebecca, was so lovely and even provided recommendations for other local restaurants. We can’t wait to return to Perugia and dine here again.
Vanessa B — Google review
What a fantastic dinner full of amazing Italian flavors! I highly recommend the cappellacci and agnolotti — they were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and so fresh. But the most wonderful part of the evening was our lovely waiter Alberto, who truly made our night. He was incredibly kind, warm, and made us feel so welcome. We're deeply grateful for his care and attention — thank you, Alberto! Sending you our warmest greetings! Aleksandra and Daria

Tasty pasta, delicious rose wine, very pleasant service. The dessert- ricotta pie, was not to our taste, a little too dry. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Osteria a Priori is a true gem in the heart of Perugia! 🍷 The menu isn’t large, but every dish is thoughtfully selected and full of authentic Umbrian flavor. The main courses feature around five types of meat, all perfectly prepared, and the appetizers are simply outstanding. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, located within historic wine cellars that also house a lovely wine shop offering excellent local wines. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is impeccable. Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality and experience. I was absolutely delighted and can warmly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience genuine Umbrian cuisine!
Marie — Google review
One of my most favourite places to eat in Perugia. I went there multiple times with various different friends who were visiting while I spent 3 weeks in Perugia. They all loved it too. The amazing food, incredibly friendly service and delicious rosé wine kept me coming back. The best pasta I’ve ever eaten is made there and I wouldn’t hesitate to return when I visit again. I highly recommend this place to eat at, again and again. Book in advance as understandably, it’s super popular.

The food is simple. They generally don't have traditional, authentic dishes, but Beatrice's service was impeccable the wine very good at decent price, and overall it was a pleasant dinner

Osteria a Priori is a beloved restaurant in the historic heart of Perugia, known for celebrating Umbrian cuisine and local produce. Housed in a medieval building on Via dei Priori, it offers a warm, rustic setting with shelves of regional wines, olive oils, and cheeses. The menu highlights seasonal ingredients from small local farms—think handmade pasta with truffles, lentil stews, and traditional meats like wild boar.

Pizza restaurant
Al Mangiar Bene is a traditional trattoria located in Perugia, Italy. The restaurant offers a variety of classic Italian dishes such as pasta and wood-fired pizza, along with organic beer. It is part of the regional economic development initiative led by Michele Fioroni, showcasing products from Umbria including olive oil, prosciutto, truffles, cheeses, sauces, legumes, cereals, soups and desserts.
I had a great experience with Umbrian cuisine. The umbricelli at umbrian traditional wild boar ragu were delicious, and the charcuterie board was generous and varied. The portions were substantial, after these two dishes, I was completely full. The location has a medieval-style atmosphere, exactly what you’d expect from an Umbrian tavern. The staff was kind and efficient, and the quality-to-price ratio was excellent. Definitely a place worth trying!
Michele M — Google review
The truffle pasta was amazing. Service was quick, friendly, and very pleasant. We didn’t have a reservation but were still seated without any issues. The only thing we didn't like was the chocolate desert which was not as sweet and tasty as it looks.
Verona R — Google review
I don't understand why this restaurant has such a high rating. We had 2 pizzas, both were more like soup than pizza, the ingredients were floating in a liquid. We didn't like the ambiance, no music, just the sound of plates clinking. I definitely wouldn't eat here again.
Andreea V — Google review
My second time visit to Perugia ( first 2019) and another visits to Mangiar Bene , honestly I couldn’t wait to go back again cos food is delicious . Eat panacotta is incredible and antipasto Al Mangiar

The place was great. Food was delicious, service was good, vibe was nice. When they saw we wanted to try each others dish they kindly brought extra sets of plate and cuttlery. And the pasta was amazing.

One of the best foods I have tasted in Italy, everything was nice 👌🏻 I picked Rigatoni alla norcina, most delicious one!
Farid K — Google review
Food very nice and a good variety of local delicacies. The service was friendly but some staff didn't really "get on the program". The pizza was so tasty, as was the bread, the aubergine parmigiana and mixed salad. The mixed chocolates with rum for dessert was OK but a waste of time. The setting was great with vaulted ceilings. All round a nice evening.

I love this restaurant! Second time visiting 2 years apart and the food and friendly service have not changed. The wild boar pasta is incredible and the tagilata cooked perfectly to taste. House wine served in carafes are great! Really well priced feast! We will be back!! Booking essential.

Pasticceria Sandri, established in 1860 and currently managed by the fifth generation of the Schucani family, is a renowned sweet art reference in Perugia. After a brief hiatus, it has returned to bring a delightful touch to the entire historic center. The charming cafe exudes an old-world ambiance with its furnishings and meticulous attention to detail in every creation, particularly their chocolate treats.
A stylish bar with a wide selection of pastries and sweets typical of both Italy and Perugia. I tried the fried rice dessert, which is traditional in Perugia during Easter, and it was delicious. The staff was welcoming and kind. Located right in the center of Perugia, the interior is stunning, definitely worth a visit. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but understandable.

Very helpful staff all spoke English and winner in my opinion of both charm and quality. I'm no coffee snob but a great cafe marchiato and Pastries are scrumptious and various including dainty biscuits. Sandwiches savory croissants and filled, ham cheese etc focaccia.

Old school pasticceria awesomeness This place has been around for a while, and you can see it inside - lots of wood, those display cases, the ambience, you feel the weight of the ages. And yeah, the pastries and the coffee and the drinks, they’re all just as good, and served with a smile Go check it out!
Mahesh P — Google review
Absolutely delicious desserts with warm and welcoming service. The packaging is beautiful and thoughtful, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. I was a bit disappointed to miss out on the tiramisu this time, but that just gives me a reason to come back! In my opinion, this place easily deserves a rating of 4.5 stars or higher. Highly recommended!
SH L — Google review
The place is fine. The savory food was not amazing. And even the sweet items were not great either. For a place with such history I would have expected more dedication towards excellence.
Andreas V — Google review
No one was really taking us into notice. Once we finally got the waitress attention she took ages to bring 2 waters, 1 coffee and cake (which wasn’t even that good, quite mediocre). When she finally realised she forgot about us she didn’t even say sorry…. The place is just worth seeing it from the outside but don’t think of sitting down, it’s definitely not worth it… :(
Fiona K — Google review
Don’t be thrown off by the mixed reviews — this place is a gem! We had amazing artichoke & tuna cornetto, bomboloni, cannoli, and Aperols. Everything was so tasty, and the pasticceria inside, although small, feels cozy and welcoming. You can also sit outside and enjoy your Aperol in the square. It's the perfect spot to relax!

We dove into the treasures of the pastry case for breakfast offerings on two occasions during our Perugia stay in early March, 2022 and were delighted with our choices. The staff were friendly and helpful in helping with our selections, and the interior of the shop is worthy of a fashion shoot.

Make a lunch stop at Ristorante alla Balestra and then follow via XX Settembre to access the cathedral and Ducal Palace either by foot or using a free lift operational from 9:00-18:20. On your way back, continue straight on via XX Settembre in the opposite direction of Piazza Grande to reach the Colle Eletto cable car station.
We visited from San Francisco, CA, and absolutely loved the cappitella dish we had here. It had prosciutto and ricotta inside homemade pillows of pasta, wish a generous amount of truffle shaved on top. With an awesome sauce too! Friendly staff. We’ll never forget this dish!

Try for the garden at lunch. Plenty of shade. We shared polenta with mushrooms and pork sausage. We rated it top level. But then the roast pork with onions in wine reduction sauce came out and I thought my heart was going to stop. Local wine and a side of spinach finished off the best meal in Umbria in a week. Two hours in the sweet smell of spring and all for 40 Euro.

Agriturismo il Casale degli Amici is a charming farmstay housed in a 16th-century building, offering a cozy restaurant and breakfast. Nestled in the countryside with picturesque views of the Norcia valley, this renovated farmhouse provides a tranquil escape surrounded by natural beauty. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local cuisine made from fresh ingredients, including dishes featuring Norcia truffles.
We came for dinner, unannounced, on a Monday evening. We were sat immediately, overlooking the valley. This was maybe the best dinner we had in Italy (which included Rome, Naples, Florence, and Venice, amongst some other small places like Norcia). Very fresh, great wine pairing, excellent dessert. Worth a trip out of the way to come visit.
Adam P — Google review
We only stayed for dinner and it was a memorable immersion in the true taste of Umbria. The Casale is perfectly located to savor the sunset, especially from the outdoor patio, while feasting on local specialty accompanied by excellent local wine ! Friendly service and a very honest proving only added to the pleasure of the evening
Tony B — Google review
We had a great stay in Norcia. The owner is very friendly, the location has nice rooms and breathtaking views. The food is excellent, you should definitely try the lasagne with truffle.
Benji K — Google review
Probably the best countryside experience in Norcia. The location is perfect if you are looking for a tranquile, relaxing stay; the area is situated just below the appennines so it is fresher than any other location nearby, which is perfect during the hot summer days. The rooms are simple and rustic, minimalistic with elegance and there is all You need. One of the best thing is the shower: the water flow is potent and constant, it’s just perfect! It’s a simple thing makes the whole stay better, we couldn’t wait to get to he room for a shower at the end of the day. The structure are in great shape after the earthquake so feel 100% safe there. The pool is big and perfect if you like to swim. The food is fresh and with lots of vegetarian options, plus truffle is almost always on the menu with no extra charge if you pick the plan with the food included. The best thing is the service though: Francesco the waiter is one of the best I have found in many years. He went the extra mile to accommodate all our requests, so much that he even went to pick fresh peppermint from the garden after our request for a tea. Ernesto the owner is always up for a talk and a great character too. It makes you feel relaxed and in tone with the mood of the place. Look no further if you are searching the perfect countryside retreat And you want to be close to Castelluccio (40 mins) But also to Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco and Assisi (1hr).

This Agriturismo called Casale degli Amici located in Norcia, Italy is ideal for a great lunch with family, friends, a couple or just for celebrating a special date. The food is highly delicious and homemade. Even the customer service is personalized and attentive. The view is breathtaking. Lunch can be served either indoors or outdoors. It’s easy to arrive and parking friendly. I totally recommend this Casale.
Antonella G — Google review
Il Casale degli Amici is nestled in a tranquil setting just beside the most beautiful Benedictine monastery. The rooms are rustic but comfortable and you have beautiful views in every direction. The staff are friendly and the food is AMAZING. Ernesto was even kind enough to drive us to the monastery so we could assist at Mass with the monks. I can’t wait to return!
Brice G — Google review
It's difficult to describe how magical this entire experience was. To begin, Norcia is stunningly beautiful - it felt tucked away in the green hills of Italy, off the beaten path. The Casale is located just outside of town. It is quiet and peaceful. Our room was large and beautifully designed with exposed wood beams, and the four post bed with linens draped over the top offered an added touch of luxury. The proprietor, Seniore Ernesto, was kind and gracious. We had a wonderful conversation with him. Then, dinner was spectacular. The food, all raised and prepared on site, was beyond our expectations. The formaggi, the salumi, and local wine from Montefalco, followed by the pasta fatto in casa in traditional Norcian style, and the grilled sausage and spezzatino - one dish better than the next. A true gem in all aspects. We will be back.
Monica M — Google review

🌟 Glowing Review for Caffè Montanucci 🌟 Caffè Montanucci is an absolute gem and the perfect respite in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. The atmosphere is warm and elegant—with Fleetwood Mac playing in the background, creating a laid-back, inviting vibe. The food was exceptional. I had a wonderfully fresh salad, a perfectly prepared pasta dish, and followed it up with pastries that were both beautiful and delicious. The gelato was also top-notch—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and—worth noting—I had zero issues communicating with the staff. Everything felt easy and welcoming. Whether you’re dropping in for a quick espresso or settling in for a longer meal, Caffè Montanucci delivers across the board. Great food, warm service, and Fleetwood Mac? That’s a win in my book.

A nice little bar to have a light meal and chill… the ladies tending to the bar is nice and friendly. Pricing wise is affordable.

This is amazing the owners are so kind and helpful, food taste good , prices are fair . Also you have great view.

Nice torta al testo, price was about the average price. The salad was perhaps a bit small for the price, but we enjoyed it and would go back.
A L — Google review
The main reason for the low review score is the terrible attitude of the woman working there. She acted like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived, and made it clear that our kids were not welcome. Prices are exorbitant (€5 for a pastry, €5 for a coke), and she short changed us on top of that (and there is no itemised receipt given). The only saving grace is the wonderful view.
Emma O — Google review
Beautiful place, great service and tasty food! but toilet could be lockable :)
Kája M — Google review
This place scammed us. I went to have breakfast with my friend and at the end the lady overcharged us basically twice what we were supposed to pay. She did not even give us an itemized bill and she had an awful and upleasant attitude. When we asked her for a second coffee she looked bothered and annoyed. Overall an awful experiente, spare youself a headache and go somewhere else.
Maria D — Google review
avoid, they scam tourists. we paid 7 euros for a cappuccino instead of the 3 euros obviously charged on the menu. when i asked about it the lady pointed at the bill in an evasive way. we paid for 3 coffees and 2 pastries 27 euros instead of half the price.

great place, beautiful pastries, sandwiches, the ice creams are very good . Very friendly staff .Je recommande à 100/100 Bonne continuation
Lune F — Google review
The best gelato ever, and I’m not even a gelato person. It was creamy and rich as it should be plus flavorful. For instance, Cherry flavor actually has a lot of cherries in it. Otherwise, the place was not what I expected. It is smaller than expected, has no ambiance at all, kind of very cold atmosphere where you don’t really want to stay to eat your ice cream. I ate it in the car as we drove away. The factory part that you see through the glass was empty, no one was working, and we were there during the day working hours.

One of the first stops we made in Umbria and I was so very impressed. The kind operator of the shop made some fantastic recommendations and even showed me how to take the “shot” of rum chocolate. Was so impressed with her Easter eggs and hens molded in chocolate. Can’t wait to go back 🧡

Amazing glutenfree spot! Visited a couple of times during our holiday. Ordered a cake for a birthday, great service and it was delicious! 100% recommend if you're celiac aswell.

Really good food, had a pizza here, and they had lots of gf grocery items, it was spectacular! Such a treat for those that eat gf. Being celiac, having the whole space be gf was amazing. We got some ravioli (delish) and other packaged goods. Not many vegan options, though. Would go back again, and would recommend!

I'm Celiac. This was absolute HEAVEN to me!! I am from the US, and you can not find anything that comes close to this!! I am a baker and very picky about GF baked goods. If I could give 10 stars, I would! My husband and daughter said you can not taste the difference at all, and my daughter doesn't care for GF. I wish I had more time here to eat my way through this amazing Bakery and Store!! I wished they shipped, i would be a regular customer. I highly highly recommend coming here even if it's out of your way. Drive here!

I can wholeheartedly agree that this is a gluten free heaven. You can’t go wrong with whatever you pick up - croissants, bigne, fruste al formaggio, etc. We had a breakfast there and then took extra for home. Obviously there are the packaged products part of the store as well, but for us the gem were the baked goodies.

It provides high-speed internet, air conditioning, and showers for guests' comfort. Additionally, the hotel features massage services, an indoor pool, concierge service, 24-hour reception, multilingual staff and self-laundry facilities. Guests can enjoy Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Hotel Giotto Assisi is absolutely the best hotel in Assisi! We traveled from the U.S. to stay in Assisi. The hotel has the most amazing views from the balcony of the hotel room and the restaurant/bar. The service is impeccable! Victor, Alyssia, and Roland were there to help our every request at any time. The service is truly exceptional. The hotel is very clean as well. The location is perfect in walking distance to the entire town of Assisi. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for everything!

Unique hotel with excellent service, a great bartender, exceptional food and the best view of the valley. Oh, and it has a parking if you book it in time. The layout takes a little getting used to but it's an excellent hotel with exceptionally nice staff and the best bartender in Assisi. Great views from the bar and balconies and very good valet parking. Prices are reasonable too.the attaches restaurant is also worth visiting. Breakfast is not exceptional but equal quality to most Italian hotels.

The views are amazing from the hotel. We had a balcony and loved the panoramic view. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is “historic”, which may mean a little dated, but the rooms are clean & spacious. Would recommend for a stay in Assisi.
Christon H — Google review
I must say, I really love the look and charm of this hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was quite spacious and lovely designed. The staff were also very helpful — especially when it came to arranging a taxi from the airport, where drivers are quite limited. Unfortunately, the reason for my low rating is the noise level. The rooms are not at all insulated from the outside sounds — it honestly feels as if cars are driving right past your window, and we were on the 6th floor. You can hear street traffic, people talking both inside and outside the hotel, and even carts being moved around. The church bells can also be heard, but I actually found those quite charming — they’re not the issue here. Because of the lack of soundproofing, we barely slept, which really impacted our stay. I’m not sure I would return, and next time I might choose a quieter countryside borgo or castle instead.
Aukje E — Google review
We stayed at this hotel while visiting Assisi. It was the best choice for us. It's located very closed to the cathedral. It has parking available. They offer breakfast at extra charge but it's worth the extra 20 euros. Staff are nice and very professional.

Excellent clean and tidy bar-pastry shop, with its own workmanship. He displays three types of fresh pasta on the counter: abundant, normal and mini. Excellent assortment of cream, cream and chocolate pastries, dry pastries are also good (tarts and similar). The assortment of savory foods (classic) is also good. It serves both well-made classic drinks (cappucino, coffee,...) and good quality liqueurs (bitters, digestives, etc.). It has tables both inside the restaurant and outside, well arranged. I'm not being unsympathetic, but in July, you can't tell your customers, even if you're very kind, that you're out of ice. The air conditioning inside was also kept on "very low," and outside the sun beat down on the four tables on the veranda, making them unusable. Non è per essere poco comprensivi ma a luglio non si può dire, sebbene con molta gentilezza al cliente, di aver terminato il ghiaccio. The place looked pretty but that was the only positieve thing that we experienced.

Not great coffee paid 2 €, but price on the menu was 1.30 € and there is no service cost apparently. When asked for reason, bartender provided ridiculous explanation as the location, etc., excuses essentially. My suffering would be going there early in the morning to grab a variety of pastries and a cappuccino to enjoy a fresh and wonderful day in Umbria!

Pasticceria Fratelli D'Antonio is a clean and well-maintained pastry shop with friendly staff. The pastries are excellent, and the desserts are particularly noteworthy. It's located just outside the center in a peaceful area, offering top-quality products and good coffee, although the cappuccino could be creamier. This long-standing pastry shop has consistently provided high-quality confectionery items over the years, making it one of the best in the city.
Great aperitivo, you get a lovely plate of treats unlike many places in Terni, it's worth coming to this nicer place of town! It's our second time. Nice pastries too.

(Translated by Google) If I had to describe the **Pasticceria Fratelli d'Antonio** in Terni in a few words, I would say without hesitation that it is **absolute excellence**. After trying it several times, I can confidently say that it is **the best pastry shop in the city**, a true point of reference for those who love authentic quality and flavors that speak to the heart. As soon as you enter, you are surrounded by a warm, elegant but without excess atmosphere, where attention to the customer is perceived in every detail. The windows are a real spectacle: tidy, well-kept, and full of wonderful desserts, as beautiful to look at as they are good to taste. The choice is vast: fresh pastries, mignon, classic and modern cakes, traditional desserts and original creations that know how to amaze. Each product tells a story of passion, competence and respect for raw materials. Their croissants and small pastries are a true masterpiece: fragrant, rich, balanced in flavor, never cloying. Personally, I cannot fail to mention their artisanal leavened products, such as panettone and colombe, which are true traditional jewels: very soft, fragrant, and with the highest quality ingredients. During the Christmas and Easter period they become an obligatory stop! The staff is extraordinary: professional, smiling and always ready to advise, with that genuine courtesy that makes you feel not just a customer, but a welcome guest. They are always attentive to every need, even in the preparation of elegant and refined gift packages. Another great strong point is the **constant quality**: whether you go on a weekday or on the occasion of major holidays, each dessert always maintains a very high standard. It's not just about technical skill, but about a true philosophy of work: seriousness, passion and love for artisanal pastry making. Furthermore, **Pasticceria Fratelli d'Antonio** has the rare ability to know how to innovate without betraying tradition: alongside the great Umbrian and Italian classics, they also know how to offer modern desserts, with careful presentation and flavours, without ever falling into excess. In conclusion, I recommend anyone who lives in Terni or is simply passing through to stop by **Fratelli d'Antonio**: it is an unmissable experience. The sublime quality of the desserts, the impeccable welcome and the passion that can be felt make this pastry shop **the best in the city**, a true pride for Terni. **A stop that cannot be missed by those who love real desserts, those made with heart, competence and respect for tradition.** (Original) Se dovessi descrivere in poche parole la **Pasticceria Fratelli d'Antonio** di Terni, direi senza esitazione che è **un’eccellenza assoluta**.

Giardino’s oozes with the relaxed confidence derived from being ultra professional, a particularly Italian trait, to be all things to all customers. The day kicks off with early birds arriving at 6am, bleary eyed and off to work, or a coffee stop for a professional bicycle team training session. The clientele at the bar slowly morph throughout the morning as regulars stand at the old fashioned bar, without any need to order, for their ritual communing with themselves on a higher plane - coffee is a serious business, and the coffee is great. By lunch the breakfast buns have gone to be replaced by locally made panini. The afternoon mooches through often with relatives and children coordinating timetables snugged up in the den by the fire. In the early evening Gabriele and Jamaica turn down the lights, turn up the volume and Giardino’s effortlessly shifts to serving cocktails with the bar laden with antipasti. The night is still young and glorious to be enjoyed, and this is where it’s happening. On Christmas Day Gabriele works the bar alone serving coffees. That tells you all you need to know. I can also confirm this is the venue for the epilogue of the book Be the Woman.

(Translated by Google) If there were 10 stars for the food, I would give them. Truly delicious, you can feel that they are artisanal products, made on the spot, far from industrial production. The big flaw, in my opinion, is the service. I've been there three times in total and I don't think I'll go back, despite being in the area often. The first time I was served by an employee who was impeccable: he greeted me, welcomed me, explained the individual pastries and desserts and finally served me at the table. I had an excellent first impression, so much so that it led me to enter there a second time, in which I had to deal with the owner. And I was very surprised. I asked for a croissant which was displayed. He commented negatively on my choice given that it was 11 in the morning. When I asked him to get the coffee immediately he gave me another dirty look. Oh well, I enjoy the truly excellent croissant, nothing to complain about and I go to pay in cash, since I was spending under €5. I was about to give some 5 cent coins, thinking it would be a nice thing to do because you always have no change, except that he himself tells me "no, no, look, I don't take copper". I don't think I've ever received a response like that. I was astounded. It's a real shame, in my opinion he shouldn't really have relationships with the public, but be behind the counter as a pastry chef, something he certainly excels at.
