My husband and I dined here last night and it was exceptional. We have visited more than 20 cities in Italy and this is the best pasta we’ve ever had - the strangozzi caserecci al tartufo nero. Our waitress, Rebecca, was so lovely and even provided recommendations for other local restaurants. We can’t wait to return to Perugia and dine here again.

Tasty pasta, delicious rose wine, very pleasant service. The dessert- ricotta pie, was not to our taste, a little too dry. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Osteria a Priori is a true gem in the heart of Perugia! 🍷 The menu isn’t large, but every dish is thoughtfully selected and full of authentic Umbrian flavor. The main courses feature around five types of meat, all perfectly prepared, and the appetizers are simply outstanding. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, located within historic wine cellars that also house a lovely wine shop offering excellent local wines. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is impeccable. Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality and experience. I was absolutely delighted and can warmly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience genuine Umbrian cuisine!

One of my most favourite places to eat in Perugia. I went there multiple times with various different friends who were visiting while I spent 3 weeks in Perugia. They all loved it too. The amazing food, incredibly friendly service and delicious rosé wine kept me coming back. The best pasta I’ve ever eaten is made there and I wouldn’t hesitate to return when I visit again. I highly recommend this place to eat at, again and again. Book in advance as understandably, it’s super popular.

The food is simple. They generally don't have traditional, authentic dishes, but Beatrice's service was impeccable the wine very good at decent price, and overall it was a pleasant dinner

Osteria a Priori is a beloved restaurant in the historic heart of Perugia, known for celebrating Umbrian cuisine and local produce. Housed in a medieval building on Via dei Priori, it offers a warm, rustic setting with shelves of regional wines, olive oils, and cheeses. The truffle pasta was amazing. Service was quick, friendly, and very pleasant. We didn’t have a reservation but were still seated without any issues. The only thing we didn't like was the chocolate desert which was not as sweet and tasty as it looks.

I don't understand why this restaurant has such a high rating. We had 2 pizzas, both were more like soup than pizza, the ingredients were floating in a liquid. We didn't like the ambiance, no music, just the sound of plates clinking. I definitely wouldn't eat here again.

My second time visit to Perugia ( first 2019) and another visits to Mangiar Bene , honestly I couldn’t wait to go back again cos food is delicious . Eat panacotta is incredible and antipasto Al Mangiar

The place was great. Food was delicious, service was good, vibe was nice. When they saw we wanted to try each others dish they kindly brought extra sets of plate and cuttlery. And the pasta was amazing.

One of the best foods I have tasted in Italy, everything was nice 👌🏻 I picked Rigatoni alla norcina, most delicious one!

Food very nice and a good variety of local delicacies. The service was friendly but some staff didn't really "get on the program". The pizza was so tasty, as was the bread, the aubergine parmigiana and mixed salad. The mixed chocolates with rum for dessert was OK but a waste of time. The setting was great with vaulted ceilings. All round a nice evening.

I love this restaurant! Second time visiting 2 years apart and the food and friendly service have not changed. The wild boar pasta is incredible and the tagilata cooked perfectly to taste. House wine served in carafes are great! Really well priced feast! We will be back!! Booking essential.

Very helpful staff all spoke English and winner in my opinion of both charm and quality. I'm no coffee snob but a great cafe marchiato and Pastries are scrumptious and various including dainty biscuits. Sandwiches savory croissants and filled, ham cheese etc focaccia.

Old school pasticceria awesomeness This place has been around for a while, and you can see it inside - lots of wood, those display cases, the ambience, you feel the weight of the ages. And yeah, the pastries and the coffee and the drinks, they’re all just as good, and served with a smile Go check it out!

Absolutely delicious desserts with warm and welcoming service. The packaging is beautiful and thoughtful, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. I was a bit disappointed to miss out on the tiramisu this time, but that just gives me a reason to come back! In my opinion, this place easily deserves a rating of 4.5 stars or higher. Highly recommended!

The place is fine. The savory food was not amazing. And even the sweet items were not great either. For a place with such history I would have expected more dedication towards excellence.

No one was really taking us into notice. Once we finally got the waitress attention she took ages to bring 2 waters, 1 coffee and cake (which wasn’t even that good, quite mediocre). When she finally realised she forgot about us she didn’t even say sorry…. The place is just worth seeing it from the outside but don’t think of sitting down, it’s definitely not worth it… :(

Don’t be thrown off by the mixed reviews — this place is a gem! We had amazing artichoke & tuna cornetto, bomboloni, cannoli, and Aperols. Everything was so tasty, and the pasticceria inside, although small, feels cozy and welcoming. You can also sit outside and enjoy your Aperol in the square. It's the perfect spot to relax!

We dove into the treasures of the pastry case for breakfast offerings on two occasions during our Perugia stay in early March, 2022 and were delighted with our choices. The staff were friendly and helpful in helping with our selections, and the interior of the shop is worthy of a fashion shoot.

Try for the garden at lunch. Plenty of shade. We shared polenta with mushrooms and pork sausage. We rated it top level. But then the roast pork with onions in wine reduction sauce came out and I thought my heart was going to stop. Local wine and a side of spinach finished off the best meal in Umbria in a week. Two hours in the sweet smell of spring and all for 40 Euro.

We came to eat a pizza but unfortunately the place was fully booked on a saturdaynight. This is always a good sign! Nonetheless the owner let us stay to eat a pizza and leave, very nice gesture. This is the best pizzeria in Gubbio. Recommended and reserve a table in advance to avoid dissapointment.

We only stayed for dinner and it was a memorable immersion in the true taste of Umbria. The Casale is perfectly located to savor the sunset, especially from the outdoor patio, while feasting on local specialty accompanied by excellent local wine ! We had a great stay in Norcia. The owner is very friendly, the location has nice rooms and breathtaking views. The food is excellent, you should definitely try the lasagne with truffle.

Probably the best countryside experience in Norcia. The location is perfect if you are looking for a tranquile, relaxing stay; the area is situated just below the appennines so it is fresher than any other location nearby, which is perfect during the hot summer days. The rooms are simple and rustic, minimalistic with elegance and there is all You need. One of the best thing is the shower: the water flow is potent and constant, it’s just perfect! It’s a simple thing makes the whole stay better, we couldn’t wait to get to he room for a shower at the end of the day. The structure are in great shape after the earthquake so feel 100% safe there. The pool is big and perfect if you like to swim. The food is fresh and with lots of vegetarian options, plus truffle is almost always on the menu with no extra charge if you pick the plan with the food included. The best thing is the service though: Francesco the waiter is one of the best I have found in many years. He went the extra mile to accommodate all our requests, so much that he even went to pick fresh peppermint from the garden after our request for a tea. Ernesto the owner is always up for a talk and a great character too. It makes you feel relaxed and in tone with the mood of the place. Look no further if you are searching the perfect countryside retreat And you want to be close to Castelluccio (40 mins) But also to Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco and Assisi (1hr).

This Agriturismo called Casale degli Amici located in Norcia, Italy is ideal for a great lunch with family, friends, a couple or just for celebrating a special date. The food is highly delicious and homemade. Even the customer service is personalized and attentive. The view is breathtaking. Lunch can be served either indoors or outdoors. It’s easy to arrive and parking friendly. I totally recommend this Casale.

Il Casale degli Amici is nestled in a tranquil setting just beside the most beautiful Benedictine monastery. The rooms are rustic but comfortable and you have beautiful views in every direction. The staff are friendly and the food is AMAZING. Ernesto was even kind enough to drive us to the monastery so we could assist at Mass with the monks. I can’t wait to return!

It's difficult to describe how magical this entire experience was. To begin, Norcia is stunningly beautiful - it felt tucked away in the green hills of Italy, off the beaten path. The Casale is located just outside of town. It is quiet and peaceful. Our room was large and beautifully designed with exposed wood beams, and the four post bed with linens draped over the top offered an added touch of luxury. The proprietor, Seniore Ernesto, was kind and gracious. We had a wonderful conversation with him. Then, dinner was spectacular. The food, all raised and prepared on site, was beyond our expectations. The formaggi, the salumi, and local wine from Montefalco, followed by the pasta fatto in casa in traditional Norcian style, and the grilled sausage and spezzatino - one dish better than the next. A true gem in all aspects. We will be back.

A classy family owned & run agriturismo. Elegant rooms. The food price to quality ratio is excellent with some interesting & different dishes and very courteous service.After lunch, relaxing in the balcony with the wide views gives a perfect finishing touch.Recommended to book the room + dinner, excellent value for money.

If you're looking for a breakfast spot, this cafe is a good choice. It features a huge space with various seating corners. For a coffee bar, they offer a sufficient variety of food, making it easy to grab a meal in the morning. I enjoyed my simple but satisfying breakfast of an Americano and a melted cheese and ham sandwich.

Waiting 20 mins for a coffee. We saw our order standing on the counter for about 15 minutes but no one bothered to bring it over so we got lukewarm coffee. Their "cannoli" are spectacularly bad and stale. Also got one wrong drink.

Convenient location, excellent food at reasonable price. Try their mixed combo, you pick three food for 12 euro. The choices include salmon, octopus salad and other high quality items. They are fresh and tasty, provided excellent value for the money. One star deducted for the lack of service. I placed the order, they put my food on a plate, let it sit on their counter for 10 minutes, nobody remembers to bring it to my table.

Really nice shop, with a friendly staff and a great choice of gelato. However I was a bit disappointed after the tasting: I went twice and I found the flavours weak, very faint, both times.

The deco was terrible: looked like a hospital waiting room, the actual chocolate wasn’t great and the waiters weren’t the best. I would not recommend the experience 😕 All to bad, because the place has potential!

Amazing desserts, really nice people. Their hot chocolate is somewhere between a hot pudding and a soup, and is so good.

A really sweet place. Very sweet staff. The juices - pure grape / pompelmo was one and the arancini and pineapple another. Very refreshing and just as you hope for.. I enjoyed that I could have a BIG cappucino☺️

We came here for lunch, hoping for a salad and dessert but we could only see sweet options. Not a problem, we ordered some crepes and hot drinks and were completely stuffed by the end of out meal! They have gluten free pancakes and crepes (waffles are on the menu, but cannot be made GF), which I enjoyed. The lady helping us was very friendly and the shop is beautifully decorated.

The Tiramasu is the best we've had in Italy! Staying here in Assisi and we've been twice. Also love the sweet, quaint decor. Hope to come back on our last day too!

It was my breakfast spot. The omlett sandwich is very tasty, the cappucino is great! They are open from 8am till 8pm, so you can not only have breakfast here but also an aperitivo while watching the sunset from their seating area outside. Lovely place, absolutely 5 star!

The main reason for the low review score is the terrible attitude of the woman working there. She acted like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived, and made it clear that our kids were not welcome. Prices are exorbitant (€5 for a pastry, €5 for a coke), and she short changed us on top of that (and there is no itemised receipt given). The only saving grace is the wonderful view.

This place scammed us. I went to have breakfast with my friend and at the end the lady overcharged us basically twice what we were supposed to pay. She did not even give us an itemized bill and she had an awful and upleasant attitude. When we asked her for a second coffee she looked bothered and annoyed. Overall an awful experiente, spare youself a headache and go somewhere else.

avoid, they scam tourists. we paid 7 euros for a cappuccino instead of the 3 euros obviously charged on the menu. when i asked about it the lady pointed at the bill in an evasive way. we paid for 3 coffees and 2 pastries 27 euros instead of half the price.

The best gelato ever, and I’m not even a gelato person. It was creamy and rich as it should be plus flavorful. For instance, Cherry flavor actually has a lot of cherries in it. Otherwise, the place was not what I expected. It is smaller than expected, has no ambiance at all, kind of very cold atmosphere where you don’t really want to stay to eat your ice cream. I ate it in the car as we drove away. The factory part that you see through the glass was empty, no one was working, and we were there during the day working hours.

One of the first stops we made in Umbria and I was so very impressed. The kind operator of the shop made some fantastic recommendations and even showed me how to take the “shot” of rum chocolate. Was so impressed with her Easter eggs and hens molded in chocolate. Can’t wait to go back 🧡

Excellent place for the famous chocolate of Prugia. I had six pieces of special chocolate items, crema gelato, and an Americano. All wonderful as expected. Highly recommended for the exquisite taste!

I'm Celiac. This was absolute HEAVEN to me!! I am from the US, and you can not find anything that comes close to this!! I am a baker and very picky about GF baked goods. If I could give 10 stars, I would! My husband and daughter said you can not taste the difference at all, and my daughter doesn't care for GF. I wish I had more time here to eat my way through this amazing Bakery and Store!! I wished they shipped, i would be a regular customer. I can wholeheartedly agree that this is a gluten free heaven. You can’t go wrong with whatever you pick up - croissants, bigne, fruste al formaggio, etc. We had a breakfast there and then took extra for home. Obviously there are the packaged products part of the store as well, but for us the gem were the baked goodies.

Unique hotel with excellent service, a great bartender, exceptional food and the best view of the valley. Oh, and it has a parking if you book it in time. The layout takes a little getting used to but it's an excellent hotel with exceptionally nice staff and the best bartender in Assisi. Great views from the bar and balconies and very good valet parking. Prices are reasonable too.the attaches restaurant is also worth visiting. Breakfast is not exceptional but equal quality to most Italian hotels.

The views are amazing from the hotel. We had a balcony and loved the panoramic view. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is “historic”, which may mean a little dated, but the rooms are clean & spacious. Would recommend for a stay in Assisi.

I must say, I really love the look and charm of this hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was quite spacious and lovely designed. The staff were also very helpful — especially when it came to arranging a taxi from the airport, where drivers are quite limited. Unfortunately, the reason for my low rating is the noise level. The rooms are not at all insulated from the outside sounds — it honestly feels as if cars are driving right past your window, and we were on the 6th floor. You can hear street traffic, people talking both inside and outside the hotel, and even carts being moved around. The church bells can also be heard, but I actually found those quite charming — they’re not the issue here. Because of the lack of soundproofing, we barely slept, which really impacted our stay. I’m not sure I would return, and next time I might choose a quieter countryside borgo or castle instead.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Assisi. It was the best choice for us. It's located very closed to the cathedral. It has parking available. They offer breakfast at extra charge but it's worth the extra 20 euros. Staff are nice and very professional.

The food in this restaurant is fabulous. All freshly cooked, and you can tell. The flavours were wonderful. We enjoyed the food so much, we went two nights in a row. The desserts are also wonderful. They all look as beautiful as they taste. The service was great, friendly, relaxed and the staff were always smiling. This is a recommended restaurant.

Lovely location. A very interesting crossroads! Only 2 minutes walk to the centre. Plenty of tables outside with umbrellas. Tables inside the bar plus a very nice dining room with artistic decor. The service is always quick and friendly. Prices good. We visit at least once a week. I would recommend.

Had lunch here today. The staff were excellent. They explained the menu very well and the service was perfect. We were in the lower level of the restaurant which on this very hot day had a fresh breeze from the open window. The chicken with a spicy sauce and pasta stuffed with prawns, scallops with fresh tomato sauce were both delicious. Highly recommended.

My wife and I ordered the Chiana beef burgers. TERRIBLE!! Not only is that the farthest think from REAL Chiana beef I don’t believe it’s even meat!! Tasted like an engineered fake meat product or maybe a veggie burger. Absolutely tasteless garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! We will not return even for a coffee.

We were in Citta della Pieve for 4 days and went here everyday! Friendly staff, delicious food and coffee, and a cozy environment! A wonderful gem :)

Been here few times but it seems that the quality of the pastries is going down? Maybe I was unlucky as it was after lunch? Also, the AC didn’t seem to work as it was quite warm inside. Reply to the owner: unfortunaly it was the same local that I have been few times in the past. Comments, even if they are not 5 stars, can be taken as a suggestion to improve, not necesarily a negative view of the business.

We had a wonderful Aperitivo and Dinner here at the Cafe with lovely service, fantastic food and a great atmosphere overlooking the whole Piazza del mercato.

We visited this place almost daily for aperitivo when we lived in Spoleto. The atmosphere was always great and the drinks always made us happy. A lot of great people working there, we cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend!

The food was SO bad we couldn’t eat it. Never experienced anything like this before. We tried two dishes; carbonara and lentil soup. We had three bites and then we just couldn’t eat it, while we are easy eaters. The food was very salty and the carbonara was plastic sticky cheese, not up to Italian standards AT ALL. The staff was kind but we left with an empty stomach… do not recommend.

Not so nice experience. Went in with happy energy en excited for a delicious hot chocolate but went out being disappointed. Staf was not kind and a bit rude. The chocolate was far from what it said i would be. I got the "Cioccolata calda monorigine" and it didnt taste nice. It was grainy and did not thats that much of chocolate, cinnamon or hot pepper. The place looked pretty but that was the only positieve thing that we experienced.

Went to Turan Cafè twice. Good place for a quick breakfast. We paid less than ten euros for a two tasty chocolate cornettos and three coffees for two. Being right on the main square in town is the cherry on the cake.

Not great coffee paid 2 €, but price on the menu was 1.30 € and there is no service cost apparently. When asked for reason, bartender provided ridiculous explanation as the location, etc., excuses essentially.
