Tapas restaurant
Bar La Tasca de Ana is a lively and rustic spot in Jaca, known for its extensive menu of tapas, pintxos, and Spanish wines. The restaurant offers modernly presented tapas without compromising on quality, featuring imaginative dishes at reasonable prices. In addition to the classic rodolfitos that are a must-try, the place also serves simple yet well-prepared dishes focused on high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is pleasant, with the option to sit outside during summer.
Fabulous experience. Wasn’t sure what to order but we were recommended tapas and all of which exceeded our expectations. Our favourite was the liver and onions, followed closely by the artichoke and garlic, but hard to say which was our favourite. Cannot say enough good things about this place. PS photos do not show all our tapas because we ate them first!
Estella T — Google review
The BEST! We thought we'd have to wait for a table, but when we went inside to get a drink, we just stood at the bar and could order tapas and eat it there. Very busy, but service at the bar was excellent and fun. You must try the rodolfito! Very good food and well priced. If you're in Jaca, this is the place. We did have lunch at a different bar, but it was nowhere near as good.
Nigel B — Google review
Celiacs beware!! Their gluten free menu has no prices. Ask before you order. €18:40 for two mini plates of "huevos rotos con jamón" Never again!
Kevin C — Google review
Wonderful little tapas bar. Felt lucky to get a table as none were left just a few minutes after we arrived (around 19:30 on a Sunday in October). Great variety of tasty dishes. Very friendly & efficient staff and a really nice atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more.
Robin R — Google review
Great bar for coming with family or friends and enjoy the evening! The atmosphere is great, dynamic and authentic ☺️ Ordering a wine or a beer with some pintxos is enough, but having a great experience includes having dinner here . We took as starter Croquetas de Jamón, Artichokes and Fried Shrimp with a delicious sauce. After, following the waiter recommendation, we order duck wings and pork with Boletus sauce. We had to order twice the shrimps as they were amazingly good!😍
Celia F — Google review
Great authentic place, a lot of local people coming to eat or just have a tapas here. Quite big variety of tapas, but you can't imagine how good they are. Quality of the food and price is in a really good balance
Asel D — Google review
We arrived as the bar opened and people were already waiting for a table. Very quickly all of the tables were gone and people were queuing. Fabulous tapas bar, amazing food and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit
Susan B — Google review
The best Spanish food I've ever had! I always come here when I'm in Jaca, even multiple times on the same trip. Highly recommend! There is often a queue outside before it open so be aware to avoid disappointment.

Restaurante Biarritz is a cozy venue with a terrace that offers daily menus featuring regional-style grilled meats and fish. While they also have an à la carte menu, the daily specials are highly recommended, including delicious options like migas, stone-grilled meats, and spectacular wonton pasta cannelloni with changing fillings. Located next to the Ciudadela de Jaca, this restaurant stands out for its traditional dishes and high-quality products, especially the grilled meats.
EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN MENUS I had not expected a restaurant in a quiet corner of the Pyrenees to offer separate vegetarian and vegan menus. The burrito with vegetables and tofu was delicious, and the cheesecake dessert was artistically presented and wonderfully tasty. Then, with an unexpected flourish, the waiter brought out a sample of the local liqueur. On top of that, the Biarritz is ideally placed between the fort and the cathedral and it attracts a mixture of Spanish and foreign clients. A perfect finish to a long day.
Colin T — Google review
They do everything right here. From the service to the food they are a high class restaurant. The Daily Special includes a starter, main course, bread, wine and dessert. I had bean soup with sausage for a starter. The soup was good, but a little bland, could have used a little more spice. For a main I had steak and fries. Th steak was prepared well, but the sauce on it was a little sweet for me. For dessert I had Flan and it was delicious. Overall the food was good but not great. I would go here again.

Incredible!!! Highly recommend for the excellent cuisine, superb service, wonderful wine and street side atmosphere! Zero complaints…you won’t regret it!

Excellent meal with many vegetarian and gluten free options. Very well presented and prepared. Had the set lunch menu for 29 euro and thought it was a good value considering the quality and size of portions
Jon K — Google review
The food was very nice, especially if you are very hungry, it is very filling. When we got here it was packed, but in less than 5 minutes we had a table. There was lots of food options, and I definitely recommend this place!
Maya R — Google review
Great food good service great price Simple good food very generous portions Tried local cider with the meal, was great Jamon salad was really good as was the beef tenderloin and the lamb, the octopus as a starter was very good.

This place is AWESOME 👌 Go the 28 Euro menu for a three course feed with wine 🍷 Excellent on both occasions when visiting from 🇦🇺 🪃 🇦🇺

Exceptional. One of the best restaurants I've ever! The menu extensive! The menu del dia was a bargain, included a great wine (not well know but excellent), water and bread, with so many choices for appetizers, mains and deserts. The food delivered faster than I've experienced, and perfectly executed! The service was another level... with personality and humor, and effective. They cooked the meat in the fireplace that warmed the dining room! And the location is ideal - across from the Ciudadela

Make sure you try the Rodolfitos - fried king prawn with a delicious homemade sauce. The comfit sucking pig was really tasty too.

Excellent. It was busy and they found us a table. The waiter was helpful and efficient. We had an excellent bottle of wine that was local. The prawns were first class and I loved the grilled baby onions. The pork was delicious. The place had a real buzz to it and we were not hurried. The biggest surprise was the bill. I felt we had a lot for the money. Classy place

Classic case of poor reviews and one staff member (?) spoiling a perfectly good restaurant. I had a lovely young lady serving me and a superb menu del día at eur21 50. The other staff member (boss? ) smoking nearby, glaring at customers and sitting with friends (and lovely dog). Bottom line food and my service brilliant!

Spanish restaurant
Restaurante La Cadiera offers a cozy setting where you can savor robust steaks and casseroles typical of the Pyrenees. Since 1994, Fran y Ana have established this establishment as a reference for mountain cuisine, blending traditional methods with constant innovation in creating new dishes. The menu features traditional "picoteo" options such as tapas, skewers, stews, and toasts alongside à la carte offerings.
Quite an enjoyable experience here! The place is rather busy (or maybe we came at such an hour), but the service is fast. The food is tasty, the staff are friendly! It is also clean. We learnt about it from a local.
Anya N — Google review
Fantastic restaurant. Hearty local food and incredibly good value. You can choose smaller plates or the set menu, which I had, during the evening. Friendly efficient service and amazing food. And everything came out hot which is sometimes lacking in Spain. The stew was piping hot, the steak came sizzling on the plate and was perfectly cooked. Even the coffee was piping hot. Ten out of ten for food, service and value.

Excellent experience of regional food in an austere ambiance, served by it's owner. Reasonable prices and extra tasty food. Thank you to our waiter, Eric, for such a familiar service. We'll be back!

Jaca is about halfway between Madiran, France, where we had been staying, and Zaragoza, Spain, where we were headed. On the advice of a friend, we stopped for a great, inexpensive lunch. Nice people and good food.

Fun traditional aragoneses joint. Delicious food and lovely service. Reserve or show up early as it gets tremendously busy.
Marina R — Google review
Impossible to get a table if you are not a local. We have tried on numerous occasions to book in advance or even walk in but the staff are rude and cold and will not even attempt to check if they have space if they see you are a tourist "No no no totalmente lleno, imposible". It's a shame because my partner and I have been visiting Jaca for years and have a very fond memory in the restaurant.
Emma T — Google review
Didn't order bread but got it anyway while waiting for the main course so we though it was free. While we were eating they refilled the bread and yes we ate it too. When it was time to pay, it turned out that the bread were not free. It didn't cost much but still we didn't order it so it felt like we got tricked. We paid 52€ for 1kg of meat with bone with a little bit of potatoes chips, 1 water, 1 beer and of course bread that we didn't order. The meat was good though.

Visitors have praised the exquisite food and homemade desserts. The restaurant is popular among locals and has been described as one of the best dining spots in Jaca, although some find it to be on the expensive side.

(Translated by Google) Very good. The menu may be a little expensive but the dishes are very elaborate and exquisite so the excess price is gladly paid for. The menu price on a weekday is 17.50. Of course, (expensive) drinks aside, if it's not water. The wild boar stew is highly recommended, don't miss it. It is worth paying a little more to taste such an elaborate and exquisite menu. (Original) Muy bueno.

(Translated by Google) Eggplant chips, fettuccine with vegetables and tomato and cauliflower and broccoli cocktail seasoned with pine nuts, lime and parmesan, very delicious and different food but always maintaining the Aragonese essence. The menu is €16 (starter+second+dessert) and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. For the main course, the casserole with zucchini and beet puree was very delicious. (Translated by Google) Although it tastes very good, the portions do NOT match its price. It should be noted that the place is VERY cozy. The almost charred Ternasco and that has a supplement. The staff was very friendly but the person who served us barely managed to smile. To think about it before returning, otherwise your wallet is full. They could adjust the price and offer at least one beer and/or house wine with the menu (1 bottle of water for 4 people).

(Translated by Google) On Friday, May 1, my husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner, thinking it was the best thing in Jaca. We wanted to treat ourselves, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We ordered, without caring about the price, a portion of pan-fried clams and a second turbot. Well, the clams, which for the price could well have been from the street, were indecently small in size and also not at all fresh. I understand that since it was a holiday, they couldn't be from the day, but they were for several days and of terrible quality. They would have been better if they had told us they weren't left. Turbot, a real shame. It consisted of a mini fillet of a farmed mini turbot that, although it was not bad in taste, for the price, 28 euros each, it could well have been skewer turbot. In short, a scam. In total, we paid 103 euros, including the Rioja Crianza wine, but without desserts or coffee, for an indecent dinner for a supposedly upscale establishment. Terrible quality-price ratio and average atmosphere and service.

Delicious calamari and fried baby cuttlefish with padron peppers, in the shadow of Jaca cathedral. Cinnamon cheesecake to die for. 63€ for three people, an absolute bargain!

Stuart D — Google review
Horrendous. Service was a great combination of both rude, bordering on open hostility, and incredibly slow. The food wasn't any better. The gambas/prawns were served plain and many were off, the albóndigas/meatballs were gristly and served in an awful sauce, the calamares/squid rings were soggy and chewy. I spent €77 and came away hungry. The setting is nice, at least. Still, I would avoid at all costs.

Nice location by the cathedral but they had one waiter for 20 tables and the service was just terrible. Steak for €19.50 wasn't that good ... with a very small portion of chips. I'd try and find somewhere else if you can.

Cobarcho is a sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of Jaca, offering a chic and modern dining experience. The comfortable and warmly decorated dining room sets the stage for savoring Aragonese mountain cuisine cooked in a wood oven and grill. The menu highlights meticulously prepared grilled meats and fish using high-quality ingredients. Guests can expect an upscale experience with an excellent wine selection to complement the flavorful dishes.

Upscale city center restaurant with Aragonese specialties. Great wine list (bottles), excellent flavors. Ribeye was 1 kg, so we split…plenty of food, saw it being prepared. For the €€ and aging was not as tender as we hoped, so slightly disappointed with that, but maybe that’s the regional way?
SouTex T — Google review
Easily the best service on trip so far in Spain, attentive, knowledgeable and upbeat. Maria, was the lead server, but had two assistants, they worked together seamlessly, never there when we didn't need them, always there when we did. We did the Prix Fixe menu with the beef option. All of the offerings were regionally inspired and the feeling was as if we'd been invited to a friend's home for the evening. Everything was delicious and prepared and presented perfectly. The atmosphere is lovely and it was just a fantastic experience. Thank you!

An amazing meal and great service. The grilled suckling pork belly and the sirloin were both very special.

Extremely Disappointing Experience We had high hopes for this restaurant, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. From the moment we received our food, it was clear that this place is nothing more than a trap. The dishes arrived lukewarm, and the service was subpar at best. The chuletón was a major disappointment—mediocre in quality, lacking flavor, and terribly overpriced. To make matters worse, there was no black pepper or any seasoning to enhance the taste. Even the fries came without ketchup, which was the final straw. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience we’ve had in Spain. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

They had trouble cooking my steak to well done. The staff are nice and friendly but it was a staggered service.

Really disappointed in general. It looked promising but the food did not live up to its sophisticated image. Most of the dishes arrived lukewarm and the food was ordinary. The chuletón was not cooked as requested and was mediocre. The only highlight was the delicious cheesecake. Not terrible but terribly overpriced for what you get in our opinion.

Casa Esteban is a popular spot in the capital of Pirineo aragones known for its delicious burgers, fries, ice cream sundaes, and elaborate desserts. The restaurant's pared-down space adds to its charm, although some may find the service a bit lacking as there are no table services and customers are called up to place their orders. It's recommended to make reservations due to the high demand.
I cannot say enough good things about Casa Esteban. When I was a child 25 years ago, I would come here with my friends to have some of the best burgers in town. This summer I had the opportunity to come back, fearing they might have closed - the owners have changed at this point, but they keep the same essentials that make this a great restaurante: great ambiance, easygoing attitude, and great sandwiches and burgers with fantastic quality bread. Now, don't come here expecting dietary specificities and custom burgers: they tel you right on the menu, they serve what they serve, if you don't want it, go eat elsewhere. I'm lactose intolerant, so if I'm having something lactose based here, I bring lactase with me. You get the idea. This is not a super fancy place, it's a local-spirit business where you'll be treated friendly if you're friendly and don't come demanding alterations to everything. Quality of food is great, staff are nice, service is fast (except when it fills with people, and it will fill with people because locals know this is a good place to eat a sandwich!). I'm so glad nearly 3 decades later it's still as awesome as when I was a kid. Next time I'm back in town, I will for sure come back, and I highly recommend you try them. Just be aware that during parts of the year, given volatile tourist population, they might have weird or limited business hours, so instead of depending on google maps for their schedule, make sure you stop by a few days before to check the schedule they have posted on the door. You'll be glad you eat a burger or bocadillo here!

Great Place for burgers. It was Sunday and quite busy we wait for a few mins waiting for a table but it was worthy. Burgers are big in size and you have lot of variety we couldn’t finish the fries.

El Rincón de la Catedral is a cozy restaurant located in the heart of Jaca, offering classic Spanish dishes with a focus on seasonal and local ingredients. The menu, curated by owner Alejandro Eneriz, features an extensive selection of traditional Spanish cuisine and a variety of hearty options such as alubias de Tolosa and different types of risotto.
The best food I had in Jaca by far. The menu was long and yummy. Our group picked a few starters to share, where I would highlight those crispy "torreznos"I ordered a giant salad and a delicious duck magret. It was amazing. The dessert, brownnie with ice-cream was impressive too. Highly recommended

1. Food!!! Delicious, typical, will long remember this as a benchmark for the best chuletón (we ordered two: rare and medium rare) 2. Service: <3 x 1000. We felt welcome like at a family reunion. 3. I am writing it yet before we paid, but no matter what I already know it was worth the money ;)

"What a delightful experience at this authentic Spanish restaurant nestled in a charming historic village! From the moment I walked in, I was transported to a world of rich flavors and warm hospitality. The traditional Spanish dishes were an absolute treat for the taste buds, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall enchantment. A must-visit for anyone looking to savor both the cuisine and the essence of Spain's history."

I said I wanted to sit and eat and I was ushered to the bar, I tried my best to communicate but as I sat and ate my barely crispy calamares, I observed locals coming and being seated and menus being brought out etc. I got none of this service, which made me feel especially treated differently as a foreigner.

Bar L'Acherito is simply amazing! Their hamburgers are incredible, and the chicken fingers that you can take for the return trip are absolutely spectacular. The best part of it all is the exceptional treatment by the staff. When you visit Jaca, this is definitely the place to go. They have a nice selection of delicious meals that cater to various dietary restrictions. The food and service are fantastic!
EXCELLENT RESTAURANT WITH OUTSTANDING CHOICES FOR VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS We came here for dinner and enjoyed it so much, we returned for lunch the next day. The décor is clean and modern, and the clientele spanned a wide range of ages. During our two meals, we sampled hummus and crudites as a starter, and three main courses: salad bowl of goat’s cheese, quinoa, avocado and onion chutney; vegetarian burger with avocado and cheese; salad bowl with falafel, mushroom and couscous. All the dishes were well-flavoured, pleasingly presented and satisfying. We shall certainly eat here again.
Colin T — Google review
We visited Larcherito, a bar in Jaca, without a booking and were able to sit at the counter. We enjoyed the salad, vegan meatballs, and vegan burger, which were all good. However, the tuna dish wasn't to our taste. The atmosphere was casual and laid back, which suited the bar well. While the experience was not exceptional, we appreciated the service and the effort put into the dishes. We would recommend Larcherito as a good option for casual dining in Jaca.

December 2024: We came to have lunch at this restaurant and were overall pleased. Prices are fair for the portions and the food is of good quality; we also liked the presentation. There are several great vegan options, I'd even say that this is the best place for vegans in Jaca. However, there was no plant milk for coffee. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is good. The one thing that stops me from giving five stars is that we had ordered a seitan burger but instead of the seitan it was a vegetable patty. January 2025: Second visit to the restaurant, this time for dinner. The falafel & couscous bowl was tasty but the falafel was too salty in my opinion. They still had to plant milk which is a shame.

In the old city but away from the main tourist areas this restaurant is a hidden gem. Fantastic food at unbelievable price. Great value for mone. We managed to get a table outside as the restaurant was packed with local people enjoying lunch. We were made very welcome with excellent service. I would highly recommend!

My husband and I ate here last night: I had the gyoza bowl and he had the red velvet burger. It was so delicious, I am back tonight to try the falafel bowl. And I will probably be back before we leave to go back home. There's so many other dishes I want to try! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the space is just so modern and gorgeous. They take reservations and if you like to eat dinner later than eight, you should make one. You won't regret it! The falafel bowl was delicious, but I think I like the gyoza better. Just the right amount of dressing and generous portion. I couldn't finish it.

When we weren't served, we ordered from the menu at the bar and were charged more than double the posted price because, according to the waiter, the prices were outdated. These prices were very high, and the only option was one size of the product, since they were too large. On the other hand, the waiters were very serious and unfriendly, and they had everything in their way. The bar was dirty, which gave a very bad impression. They had tables unserved even though there were only a few tables on the terrace. In addition, the place was full of flies. They need to change a lot of things so that customers leave satisfied.

On a Monday evening, I visited Zebra21 bar in Jaca in search of cigarettes. It was the only establishment that had a functioning cigarette vending machine and offered a wide selection. The barmaid gave me excellent assistance, and the service was fast and reasonably priced (2 pints for just 8 units of currency). I returned both before and after dining at another place, finding the restrooms to be impeccably clean.

(Translated by Google) We tried to sit down for a beer. First, one of the waitresses told us the table was reserved and that the next customers would arrive in 5 minutes. As we were leaving, we saw another table that was empty and asked if that one was also reserved. She said no, and we sat down as four people. Another girl, who seemed to be in charge, came over and told us there couldn't be four of us there because the social distancing wasn't respected. She told us we should sit at the first table we had asked about. When we told her the waitress had told us it was reserved, she said that wasn't true and confronted the waitress, who ultimately made the first table available for us. She tried to serve everyone before us. She seemed angry with us, but we didn't mean to get scolded; in fact, we didn't know it was customary to lie to customers about reservations. Anyway, since we were kept waiting for over 15 minutes and had a dinner reservation elsewhere, we had to leave without being served. It's a shame to have employees with such little customer service zeal.
