Bakery
Queen City Bakery is a charming bakery-cafe located near the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. Run by the talented duo Mitch Jackson and Kristine Moberg, this bakery offers a delightful array of freshly baked goods made from scratch using local produce. The menu features an ever-changing selection of pastries, breads, and quiches, ensuring that each visit brings new flavors to savor.
Every time we’re in Sioux Falls, Queen City Bakery is a must-visit for us. It’s such a special place, known not only for its incredible drinks and baked goods but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their quiche is my personal favorite — it’s always perfectly made, with a buttery crust and rich, flavorful filling. Whether you’re stopping in for a slice of pie, a savory treat, or just a great cup of coffee, everything here feels homemade and full of care. Mitch and his family truly make Queen City Bakery feel like home. You can tell how much pride they take in what they do, and the entire staff is always so kind and friendly. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. If you’re in Sioux Falls and looking for something delicious (and a genuinely welcoming experience), don’t miss Queen City Bakery!

Such a cute spot! Everyone was so nice and the building/inside was welcoming. We tried two of the quiches and coffee cake which were yummy! Definitely recommend. We had a cold brew and a drip coffee which were also good! Dog friendly patio spaces!
Missy — Google review
I mean it was good and all but for the price, we weren't to sure we received a good value. The frosting didn't really have any taste or weight to it. Fresh flavor in the cake itself but overall nothing that made me think I should buy it again. 🥲 *Edited* The owner denied replying to this review stating he doesn't know who did when I called the store. Either way, he offered a gift card to cover another 8" cake after we had a discussion about the cake making process. The frosting on this particular cake goes through a process where the egg whites are whisked with sugar among other things to create an almost weightless cream. He said it was swiss so maybe our party misinterpreted what we ordered.
Alexander W — Google review
Went and got a savory bread pudding that was over baked, a pear turnover that would have been good if it actually had enough filling in it and a brioche long john that literally had 14 chocolate chips thrown in it! Won’t be back.

The scones and coffee were excellent! Lots of choices for wonderful pastries and quiches! It is located in a beautifully renovated historic building!

Came in to enjoy a cookie and some coffee, had a wonderful time. Drinks were out very quickly and the service was excellent, especially from the fellow who wrote “this is my backup shirt” on his shirt

My husband and 2 kids went in for a couple of coffees and ordered a quiche. The young guy working at the counter was very sweet and I really appreciated him acknowledging us. As for the other barista she ignored me when I went up to ask a question and then again when I asked where to put the dirty dishes. The people in the shop seemed annoyed that we had kids. And honestly they weren’t being loud they were just talking and playing with one another at a table in the corner. We got “looks” and a couple of grunts. If you have kids I would steer clear of this place. They have wonderful coffee but we really didn’t feel welcome and rushed.

Brazilian restaurant
Carnaval Brazilian Grill is South Dakota's only Brazilian-style steakhouse, offering a contemporary dining experience with bottomless plates of flavorful Brazilian cuisine. The restaurant features an award-winning menu with grass-fed steaks, hand-tossed thin-crust pizzas, and lavash flatbreads loaded with various toppings. Additionally, Carnaval hosts monthly wine dinners where delicious cuisine is paired with exquisite wines.
Have heard amazing things about Carnaval, but had never been. I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday and it did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely amazing! Food was delicious, desserts were divine and the service was impeccable! If you haven’t been, you are missing out! Can’t wait to return.

Kaden (I think that's right) was a super fun waiter! All of the waiters are very friendly! In the few interactions we had with the servers, they were very polite, they also smiled frequently! I LOVE the grilled pineapple 🍍 always hits 🔥
Aylen S — Google review
Sat at the bar, in town for work so it was just myself. The service was fantastic!!! They did a great job making their rounds with the meats and other foods. The restaurant was fairly busy, which was a bit odd for a week day. I would have thought it would be a little more empty on a weekday evening, but parking and seating was no issue at all. I will definitely be back when I come into town for work next time!!

One of mine and my spouses date spots. Meat is always so good. Dessert is also very good. Salad bar is tasty. Creme brulee is the picture I've shared. Only thing I would say is I would have the host seat you along the wall anywhere... As service tends to get to you every time where as they don't using circle back to the open tables because they lost track of which table they have been to. I know from being seated in both areas.

I had such a wonderful experience at Carnaval Brazilian Grill! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was served by Pepe, who was very attentive and provided excellent service throughout the night. To make the evening even more special, I was surprised with a complimentary dessert — a perfect, flan that was simply amazing. Everything from the flavors to the service made this visit unforgettable. Highly recommend this churrascaria to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Brazilian dining experience in Sioux Falls!

It was my birthday yesterday and even though i put it in the notes they didnt acknowledge that which was fine in the end. But they jad made our anniversary so special i was excited to go for my birthday. It was expensive but tasty. Probably one of the few places left that actually has quality food and its worth going out for instead of staying home. I made a reservation and their was no wait. We went on a Thursday it wasnt too bad busy wise it was nice not clustered at the salad bar.
Gretchen R — Google review
It had been a while since we had been there. Just wasn't the same. We had a reservation as there was 7 of us. Had to wait a little (they were getting our table ready) we got sat in a booth by the restrooms. With only 6 set of silverware A guy asked what we wanted to drink when we asked if they had lemonade he responded yes, not the lemonade we were expecting he gave us Brazilian lemonade. A 6 yr old and a 13 yr old. Didn't like it took about 20 mins to finally get a different waitress to bring us normal lemonade. Was offered pineapple before we got any other food, had to ASK for the meat to be sent to the table. Then it was either every kind showed or we had to wait and flag another person down. We never seen our waiter we had to keep asking for items to be sent towards our table. Most of the meat was very raw. I mean when you have to ask for well done and it still pink. We won't be going back not like it was and definitely not at the prices they charge.
Mary T — Google review
Super disappointed in the visit last night, was seated and said they had prime rib and that you would just have to ask for it, we asked multiple people 4 to be exact, nothing came to our table, I was served chicken wrapped and bacon and when I cut into it it was undercooked, I showed the meat server and he is like give it back to me, no apology or word from manager. Then to top it’s off the mashed potatoes were cold, and once we were all finished with our sub standard meal they brought a huge brisket out and started serving it, we were never told this was an option and they had already taken our plates away. We sat there a little bit conversing, and were approached 5 times to see if we were done with our meal, like they were trying to push us out the door, this used to be one of my favorite places, and I will not be returning do to the experience I had last night, literally felt like it was a huge waste of money.

Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews is a laid-back venue with a sports bar atmosphere, offering an extensive menu of creative burgers and brews. The signature burger, featuring peppered bacon, fried egg, pulled pork, barbecue sauce, American cheese, onion rings and hot sauce is a highlight. Additionally, the glazed doughnut burger with American cheese and bacon is available year-round.
Jeolioneh killed it today. Helped me with the app so I can start earning rewards. Opened the patio for me so Romeo and I could have lunch. Steak and eggs was yummy. For the 2nd day in a row I ordered the watermelon jalapeño margarita and it did not disappoint. Though once again I want a nap. Ricky did a great job yesterday when we were here. The entire staff is very good here. We'll be back.
Renee K — Google review
To be honest, I was a little distracted by the name of this place but I gave it a chance and I am so glad that I did! The burger was so tender and delicious, and cooked as I requested it. The wings weren’t as crispy as I like them but they were packed with flavor. The garage vibe is not for everyone but it reminds me of a similar restaurant that I have frequented and is no longer around in my neighborhood (Quaker Steak and Lube). The names of the burgers are intriguing and there is a vast selection. I am not a huge bacon fan but the bacon on the burger was seasoned well and crispy. Most of the burgers have bacon or jalapeños so I was selective on what I chose. The server was friendly and attentive to my needs. I would return to Sickie’s if I find that opportunity again.
Bill R — Google review
So um we loved our servers. Very nice. the wings tasted good just were a little fatty and didn’t have much good meat on them. while enjoying our yummy wings. We unfortunately found a HAIR COOKED INTO the wing. Not good. Don’t fear tho they remade ONE SINGULAR WING for her. As well as my wings are kinda pink. So I’ll be sure to be back with an update. Diet cokes were crisp tho. (Don’t get the sweet chili sauce on the wings) (not our favorite flavor) again diet cokes hit. Update: I’m fine i did not die. They also gave me a to go cup for my crisp cold Diet Coke.

Plenty of parking and no wait on a Wednesday evening. Lots of menu choices with some really fun and delicious burger options. So many to choose from and all sounded great. Our table ended up getting 3 different burgers and they all were delicious! The deviled eggs app was so good, definitely recommend! Burgers were fresh and juicy, and cooked perfectly. Great spot for sure!
Seth H — Google review
A great dining experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was top-notch. Every employee that came by our table checked on us and were very friendly and personable. Would have given it 5 stars across the board but not sure that a burger, cheese curds and 2 beers was a full $40 value. But if you think that's a reasonable price to pay I'd say go for it because the smoky burnout burger was delicious
Glenn C — Google review
For all the foodies who love a great vibe, Sickies is a gem! They have a ton of burgers, and they're all unique in their own ways. If you're feeling fancy, you can always upgrade to a Kobe beef patty instead of the standard Angus. They have burgers, wings, shakes and tons of different beers options.
Kiarash ( — Google review
I was told by some work colleagues to try this place out, and it did not disappoint. I try and eat somewhere new after VA appointments. The manager took me to a table, very nice and heart warming. The waitress Silvia, the best server I have had in a very, very long time. I ordered a jalapeno cheese burger with sweet potatoes fries and a starberry lemonade. She asked what I wanted on top of my sweet potatoes and listed all this stuff. Never have I said just surprise me (I didnt care because I like sweet potatoes) she put a Casian spice on it, it was sooooo good. She was busy but did not forget me. I said I heard someone order fried green beans is that right. She said yes, I said I'll take that to go and take it home to my mom. She asked about sauces. I sad anything but ranch. She gave me an avocado ranch dip and a sweet but spicy peach dip. I had to try it when I got home. Sooo good. Definitely going back here and try something else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Food was amazing and tasty, nothing bland about it.
Sheena C — Google review
Typically pretty good food and service. Just DO NOT order a Mac and cheese bowl, it's a waste of money compared to anything else. You get twice the food ordering a burger and fries for the same, if not less the, price. It tastes fine but doesn't make up for how much they cost.

MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub is a casual and rustic pizzeria chain that offers creative pies, sandwiches, beer, and wine. The 406 Summer Fare menu features a variety of delectable dishes such as smoked trout dip, huckleberry salad, Yellowstone flatbread with smoked trout, Harvest Cherry pizza, Treasure State tacos with bison, and the Big Sky bison burger.
I’ve never left a review for a restaurant before, but as I was sitting there, I knew I had to. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I honestly can’t even begin to express how good it was. I’ve had hundreds of different pizzas and eaten at countless restaurants, and the pizza I had here was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were incredible, I tried three different kinds, and each one blew me away. The only tiny “complaint” I had was that some toppings slid off a bit, but that’s not even a real problem. We also ordered the cowboy nachos as an appetizer, but they were easily big enough to be a full meal. The portions are generous, and the prices are very fair for how much food you get. The staff was amazing super attentive and helpful, whether it was our server or not. I never had an empty drink, and someone was always checking in to make sure we were doing okay. Honestly, I don’t think there’s any other place in Sioux Falls I’d recommend more than MacKenzie River. Absolutely worth it. Like I seriously can’t get over how good the pizzas were
Taylor W — Google review
Wait to be seated but plenty of open tables. However I understand they might be short staffed. However, once we were seated, our order was incorrect. We ordered two pizzas and wings. We only got 1, and the wings had three pieces that were raw/rare in the middle. It took a long time before the waiter came back to check on us so we are the smaller pieces that were cooked. He also never brought the water I asked for. When we told him and showed him the raw pieces, his face looked like he felt we were just trying to get free food. We asked for three cooked pieces, not free food. After a time, he brought out a full set of wings. I know we only asked for 3 and I appreciate the thought but the point I think was missed? Some of the pieces this time were burnt. No doubt because the few others were "raw". I regret not taking a picture. The big pieces were raw because they were twice as thick as the others. My pizza was fine.
Robert — Google review
The place has a nice atmosphere with outside seating available. It was about a ten minute wait for a table, not too bad considering the place was packed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich without mayo. However, when my food arrived it was slathered in mayo. I felt bad but I sent it back because I can't eat it, no big deal mistakes happen. The guy brought it back about 60 seconds later and it was the same sandwich just with a different top bun, everything else still slathered in mayo. Then I had to wait about thirty minutes for the kitchen to make a new one while the rest of my table ate. But the reason it only loses one star is because the sandwich, when it arrived, was incredible. It was so good. The spice was perfect, and the pineapple salsa complimented it so well. I would absolutely go back and eat this again. If you eat mayo, shouldn't be a problem lol. But all jokes aside, our server Emmanuel was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The whole experience was a little funny now that I look back on it. Seriously delicious though. Would eat again.
Ivy B — Google review
Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. I ordered the Bleu onion burger. It was tasty and came with fries which were delicious. My wife ordered fish and chips. The fish came out visibly burnt. When the waiter stopped to ask how the food was, I said the fish is burnt. He said I'll get a new one ordered and walked away. The 2nd one was good and was brought out with more fries. They may have been understaffed but based on other reviews, overcooked food seems common. They did comp half the price of the fish.
Tim F — Google review
We went here for dinner based upon the reviews. Perhaps we went on an off night. The service was poor, our server was waiting many tables, bartending and assisting take out orders. There appeared to be plenty of staff but we couldn’t figure out who did what. The attire of most of the staff looked like they were trying to dress down. One had on what looked like pajamas and a sweatshirt that was many sizes too large, another had on sloppy looking gym shorts and a hoody many sizes too large. All in all, most staff were dressed much worse than the customers. The girls at the host stand were too chatty with each other and on their phones and not focused on customers. We ordered the black and blue steak bites, fried spring rolls, the wedge salad and a hamburger. The food was good, the burger was too done but tasted fine and the wedge needed to be on a plate or in a bowl (too large). We’d definitely give it another try if we lived close.
Chuck — Google review
Wow! Stopped here with a few co-workers while in town for a job and was really impressed with the food and service! We had the Pineapple chutney flatbread for starters and it was the favorite of the night for sure! So flavorful! I then had the taco trio, which was delicious as well. The server was fantastic and let us know right when we sat down that he would be right with us. They were super busy so we appreciated the acknowledgement that we were just seated. Everything was really great and I would definitely go back when in town again!
C. M — Google review
Went on a Saturday evening. Waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Ordered a smoked old fashioned and it was definitely watered down. No silverware, napkins, or water. Ordered the bison taco special and a flatbread pizza. Both were mediocre and they messed up the flatbread order and forgot a custom topping. Chips with tacos came with no salsa or sauce. Sauce for tacos was a jalapeño aioli and it was like thousand island dressing with no heat. 20 more minutes for check. We liked the atmosphere, and wanted to like the food and drinks, but it was all just kinda meh. They did comp our pizza for the mistake so that was good. I just think there are better places to eat than here.
KC D — Google review
When the weather is agreeable, the restaurant raises a huge door and allows seating with a breeze. We stopped in for a light supper on a Saturday. We were seated immediately by a friendly host. Our server was super nice and very attentive. The food was yummo!

MB Haskett in Sioux Falls was such a lovely breakfast spot! The whole experience had a warm, relaxed vibe. I tried the vegetarian crêpe and it was absolutely delicious, light, flavorful, and super satisfying. The seating area was really cozy, and one thing that caught my eye was the old school ceiling fan system, a charming little detail that gave the place even more character. The service was respectful and professional, and everything just felt smooth and pleasant. Overall, it was a great way to start the day, and I’d happily go back again!

We enjoyed a unique lunch in a great patio atmosphere. Loved the local Kombucha options. Our savory crepes were delicious.

We were too full to try the crepes, but their iced lattes, American breakfast, and croque madame (like eggs Benedict, but with gruyere in the sauce) breakfast were amazing! Very tiny place and really good, a little pricier, but still recommend!
KC D — Google review
My all time favorite place for breakfast. I think I’ve had everything, it’s all excellent, but my go to is the classic crepe with a sunny egg and a side salad. The truffle vinaigrette is where it’s at. I could bathe in the stuff. Do not skip this - you won’t be disappointed. And if they’re ever running their eggs Benedict special I highly encourage you to get it.

Coffee is wonderful and service is quick, friendly and attentive! The food is reasonably priced for the amount and quality. I had the American Breakfast- get the homemade peanut butter for your toast, you won’t regret it! Hubby had Croque Madame and loved it. Atmosphere is great and restaurant is clean.

Very cool atmosphere and feel, there's outdoor seating in front and behind. The food was real good, we had the eggs Benedict and a crepe with mixed berries. The crepe was decent, my least favorite part of the meal. The coffee was decent as well. I gave this place 5 stars for the service and ambiance.

Great, fresh, interesting food, great service. We had the Pork Belly Gyro and Cherry Salad. Staff happily accommodated a substitution request. Covered outdoor dining area adjacent to an outdoor amphitheater with a free concert starting. We would have loved to try some of the local beers, but we were just passing through town. Well worth the detour off of 90.

My coworker and I were in town. We are a private airline flight crew and are always looking for unique and tasty dishes. Possibly to recommend to our clients. This place was recommended. We found the sandwiches to be tasty. I had the pork belly and she had the crab rangoon. The pork belly was seasoned well. A little much kale for me. Tasty though. The crab rangoon had a lot of mayo and not enough crab. I had the Earl Grey tea with lavender. It was good. Perfect for those who need to cut back on sugar. Would we return? Yes, we would. I would try another sandwich.

This place is amazing. I tried both the Vietnamese fried chicken and the Hawaiian bowl. Both were delicious. The staff is extremely friendly also, walking me through the whole menu to make a good recommendation and they let you taste beers before buying also.

Absolutely delicious!! I had the Korean Katsu Sandwich and the kids had a delicious marinated chicken and rice. Their Moroccan Chicken Salad was also delicious. The staff is so friendly and made great suggestions!

Can I give 5+ stars!?!?!? The food - delicious! The staff - so accommodating. The outdoor seating - toasty even when chilly out! And did I say how stupid good the food was?!? YUM!!!

First-timers here; what a treat! We tried the Vietnamese Chicken sandwich and the Pork gyro; both were just amazing. Very helpful counter staff, clean establishment with plenty of seating (at 1:30pm). I imagine it could get very busy later on, but we enjoyed everything about this place.

Great food. Period. We came here for lunch, my wife had the crunchy chicken bahn mi sandwich and I had the pulled lamb roast sandwich - both were unique, fresh and delicious! If you’re a texture eater, like me, this place gets it right! Mine was on a beautiful chewy ciabatta bread roll, hers was on a soft brioche bun, which was a nice contrast to the ultra crunchy chicken. My son had the burger and it was top notch on pumpernickel bread. Plus the naughty fries which were a nice treat and a touch spicy. And I loved the sign on the toilet! A great and friendly place for lunch. The beer and selections were also great!

WoodGrain Brewing Co. is a microbrewery located in downtown Sioux Falls, offering a variety of signature brews such as SMaSH, American Wheat, and Milk Stout. The brewery takes pride in using locally sourced ingredients like barley and hops to create their handcrafted beer specialties. With a focus on experimentation, visitors can expect new brews with each visit. The inviting taphouse environment provides an intimate setting to enjoy flavorful beers alongside quality food options.
I stopped by for a quick drink and I am happy I did. Woodgrain Brewing is legit. They have a decent beer selection and they give a true brewery vibe. They know what they’re doing. I tasted a couple of their beers, IPA, sours, and settled on the wheat. It was crisp and worked well all around. A must visit.

Selection was small though tasty. Staff was helpful with suggestions and offered tastings. Nice stop in while shopping the downtown. Outdoor seating was spacious and comfortable. When it started to sprinkle we moved inside where there is plenty of seating. Also board games available.

We came across this brewery while walking around the SculptureWalk. We ordered a flight of Honey Deb, Milk Stout, Nap Culture: Strawberry Rhubarb, and Duck Tape Piñata. The beers were good, but we were disappointed that there were a couple we wanted to try but they were sold out. You have to walk up to the bar to order drinks and food. For food, they have a pub mix, different kinds of packaged pretzels, and pizza from Sunny’s Pizzeria.

Very cool brewery inside a bank building. They had good IPA’s and Stouts. My favorites were Carnaval IPA, Milk Stout and Midnight Trek.

I had a great experience there last weekend. The Mexican food truck Krazy Concessions outside their venue was awesome and was great with their beer. The people serving the beer are nice/friendly and they KNOW their beer! Tell them what you like, they will take care of you. It is a calming atmosphere with all the rustic wood elements, yet classy at the same time. They have games (card, board, etc) to pass the time while you are trying, or enjoying your beer.

We had the best time visiting with Tessa while enjoying the best beers we had in South Dakota! We will definitely recommend this place, clean lagers and great IPAs, well done.

This was our debut for the burger battles for 2024! My wife and i shared the burger, and a rousing game of cribbage! I love that this place has games to enjoy! I also ordered a light drink - deflation - which was delicious! Burger: smaller than expected but tasty? The burger seemed a bit heavily seasoned, however the toppings helped tame it a bit. Overall - delicious!

Food and drinks were delicious. I forgot it was St. Pat day but still got our chislic and tomato beer! The spinach artichoke dip was quite tasty too!

Good sports bar. Food selection was nice. Flatbreads, burgers, pizza, wraps, etc. Service was decent. No real complaints. Didn't have to wait for a seat. I got the Roosevelt burger and I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Went on a Sunday afternoon while a few NFL games were going. So we heard the occasional loud shouting. But that's to be expected at a sports bar. Been here 3 different times and really have no complaints. Nothing really that stands out either. Would recommend.

First time in this location! Evan did amazing! Guy deserves a raise! So generous. Was amazing throughout our time inside. We forgot our box on the table, and he ran out to make sure we got it before we left the lot. Hope management knows they have an amazing server on their hands! Food was amazing as well. We live on the other side of town, but will make the commute over here for his service again!

Pretty chill place, nice and clean inside, high ceilings and lots of TVs. Bartenders were friendly, beer was cold. I only had fries and the loaded waffle fries the few times I stopped in but they were very good! 👌

On Friday night-playing Singo at Shenanigans is the best. But I was here on Monday night and it’s much quieter. We sat on the patio. Very nice patio with plenty of seating. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip, served in a bread bowl and with tortilla chips. Ordered the Meat Thin crust pizza. Love the taste and a good thin crust. Great service and food came out quick. I wish they had Wild Turkey 101 or Buffalo Trace but they are a Coke account.

This place is a rip off. We had a party of 10 eating there just in the dining area and for lunch. There were probably 8 other people there the whole time we were there. When the bill arrived we were all charged a large party fee. When I inquired concerning this I was told that if there is more than 8 in your party you are charged a large party fee and it wasn't a small amount. I had called the day before and stated that approximately 10 people were coming in to eat and would it be ok to have 2 tables put together. I was told no problem and they had it set up for us. Absolutely nothing mentioned about if more than 8 a large party fee would be tacked onto each person's bill. Needless to say I will never step foot in that place again.

Between finding glass in my rice soup 2-3 years ago, discovering a chewed up toothpick in my pizza a couple months ago, to now experiencing the attitude and worst customer service I have ever seen by an employee whose name on my receipt was Chelsea S, I can officially say I will never return to this establishment. Side note to the owner, if you change a menu item and you don't care enough to change the physical menu, at the very least the employees should be mentioning the change to the customer prior to the food coming out. Otherwise you will run into the situation like today where Ms. Chelsea didn't mention the change, I no longer wanted the food due to it not being as it says on the menu, and then she proceeded to try and charge me for it regardless while scoffing, rolling her eyes, and not coming to the table for 20 minutes to take my order after my coworkers were already finished eating. Ridiculous. Item in question was the pulled pork sliders on a "hawaiian pretzel bun" (according to the menu) which turned out to be some sort of dry, crumbly, and debatably edible bun. Pictures attached.

The Cookie Jar Eatery is a charming, family-owned bakery and eatery known for its homemade cookies, custom cakes, sandwiches, and soups. Established in 2002, this cozy storefront takes pride in using the finest ingredients to create delectable treats from scratch. Customers rave about the creative cookie designs that change with the seasons and themes. The bakery also offers gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions.
We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Cookie Jar Eatery, conveniently located near our office downtown, and it was an exceptional experience. Our group of three decided to try their breakfast pizza, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The pizza featured a fresh, thin crust with a delectable housemade sausage gravy base, generously topped with bacon, sausage, ham, scrambled egg, and a perfect amount of cheeses. Every bite was gooey, delicious, and incredibly satisfying. Additionally, one of us indulged in a lavender latte, which was simply glorious. The subtle floral notes of lavender paired wonderfully with the smooth, rich coffee, making it a delightfully unique treat. We highly recommend The Cookie Jar Eatery for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The quality of the food and the friendly service make it a standout choice in our community.

The food was good. I was able to get gf cookies which were more half circle shapes and they tasted a lot like regular frosted sugar cookies from the store from what I remember of the before a time of being gf. My daughter did really enjoy the cookie I got for her and said it was very "festive". There was seating in the store, in the lobby, and outdoor seating and parking across the street. I'll come in again to get decorated cookies for my kids.

Harvester Kitchen by Bryan offers innovative American cuisine with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Chef Bryan Moscatello presents a tasting menu that promises an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant has been recognized with the Award of Excellence, which is given to restaurants with interesting wine selections that complement their cuisine and cater to a diverse range of wine enthusiasts.
I can't even begin to explain how this was, the thought, the preparation, the waiters the environment, everything was perfect, my wife finally found a wine she likes and we told the waiter that at the end of the night they gave us a free bottle on the waiter. The waiter paid for a free bottle of wine for us I couldn't believe it. As we finish the night we got polaroid pictures and the chef came out to personally greet us. I'm in shock and awe how we were treated how much they did for us and how much of a memorable night they gave us. Out of the four years me and my wife have been together this was the best most memorable most amazing night of our lives. Don't think about going to this place if you want to do it. Thank you to all the staff thank you to the chef thank you to all the waiters you guys made that night the best night of our lives. My heart goes out to all of you as does my wife's for making it so special for us thank you so much. We will be coming back again thank you for all of your effort that you put into it. This place is AMAZING.

This was simply an amazing experience. We had no clue what to expect and the staff made sure it was the best. 7 courses and each one was better than the one before it. We even got to meet the chef owner and let him know how much we enjoyed the experience.

If you’re looking for a splurge in Sioux Falls, this is your place! Upon arrival we were greeted with a small chalice of Prosecco because it was Sunday and why not share some bubbles?! We tried the five course tasting menu…we enjoyed all of the course, especially the duck and salmon. Each course is small but they add up! The sauces accompanying each dish were phenomenal! The presentation was top notch and the staff went above and beyond to chat with us and make us feel not just welcome but AT Home! I would say that the wine pairing was a bit pricey at $85 for 5, 3 ounce glasses. You could easily buy two or three 5 oz wines by the glass instead, so that was lil pricey in retrospect. At the time, each wine and pairing was spot on and truly added to the dish. The dessert was a miss for me… fresh strawberries with balsamic with cake and some sheet of vanilla crème? It didn’t work, I’m a texture eater, plus it tasted kind of fishy… I didn’t dig it. The little cookies which accompanied dessert were wonderful and the caramel upon departure at the door were delightful! To their credit, we met the chef, Bryan as we exited and he offered to make me a new/ different dessert. At the time I thought, no that too much… but maybe I should have?! Definitely 5 star in Sioux Falls!!

Harvester Kitchen is spectacular in all aspects. Featuring meat and vegetables from local farmers, Chef Bryan ensures he has the highest quality ingredients and he knows how to use them. He's created some of the most unique and creative dishes I've had and he's right here in Downtown Sioux Falls. It's absolutely amazing that we have this level of restaurant in our city as it would be a top restaurant in any major city. I love that there's an ever changing tasting menu and the events are great culinary experiences. They're always expertly paired with wine.

The food was delicious. The servers were the best! They were interested in our thoughts and extremely knowledgeable in their craft. We visited for my birthday, and they did not hesitate to provide candles and balloons and an extra dessert. My favorite food was the French toast. The menu changes monthly, so I am posting this month's along with what I ate.

Took my best friend here for a birthday dinner and the whole experience was amazing! The wait staff was knowledgeable about the food and had wonderful stories around the dish and it's creation. I wish I remembered our waitress' name because she was seriously so great! The Chef definitely shows how much he cares with every dish. Super superb! Definitely will be coming back for other occasions!

I’ve been wanting to check out Harvester Kitchen since I moved here last year. I finally had a chance to try it out, and I must say it deserves all the hype it gets! We went for the fish + meat tasting menu. The staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delectable. Farm to table, fresh seasonal flavors, savory bites. I think I died and ascended into heaven while I was eating through the menu. It’s expensive, but well worth the splurge for a date night!

Let It Fly Sports Bar, located at the intersection of 57th and Western, is a fresh addition to the local dining scene, co-owned by former NBA player Mike Miller. This upscale sports bar has taken over the space previously occupied by Turks & Caicos Cabana Grill and boasts a spacious patio that wraps around the building. The outdoor area maintains its inviting atmosphere while featuring an impressive lineup of TVs—15 in total—ensuring that sports fans can catch all their favorite games from every angle.

We had good service with them taking our order in a timely manner, wait time for the order and the server checking back. It has a pleasant atmosphere, nice looking large bar area with plenty of screens for your sports viewing pleasure, but we just wanted to try the food! My Club blt was great and my friend liked their chicken sandwich as well. The tater tots were nice & crisp outside, perfectly cooked inside. My sandwich was good sized and just the right amount of tots! Prices were standard I'd say with both our sandwiches being $14 before tax. I would like to return with the boyfriend to try something else while he enjoys a game!

Having a lazy Sunday night we decided to eat out, Their outside seating and landscape is gorgeous. Hubby's first time here and let's just say we will definitely be coming back! The dirty fries were the perfect starter with the BEST restaurant pulled pork. I had the mac cheese with pork and it was delicious! The sweet potatoes fries were also such a hit. Keep Let it Fly on your radar this summer. Definitely the spot to be!

Poorly understaffed. Our waitress was a gem. Long wait time for any type of service. Sent my entrée back because produce was spoiled. Given a to go entrée replacement containing lesser spoiled produce. Meal was $20. I drank only water. Salmon had no flavor. Kitchen help brought me the to go replacement because two of the wait staff were socially involved with another table. My friends warned me not to go here for food. See picture of my replacement burbon salmon salad.

Its good. We both enjoyed our food. Price was reasonable as well. This flat bread was $14. Went again. Burger wrap was cold inside. Like they put it all together then microwaved it. Fries were cold too. Kinda of crazy. The buffalo chicken dip was really good though.

This was our first time sitting down and eating here. And we sat on the patio. Spacious and not to close to other tables. Our server was Elvis. And was nothing but courteous and welcoming. Food was out quick and was very tasty! I see the bad reviews. And understand the industry. It's there 6th day open. Takes time to get things sorted out. But once they have all the kinks worked out. This place is gonna be huge in SF. Also I feel like SF needed a actual sports bar feel with good quality food. Excited to see where they go from here!

We came for dinner a couple of days after they first opened. It was a Wednesday and they were busy. Our party of 6 waited about 45 minutes for a table. There are TVs everywhere, playing different entertainment. There is overhead music and no sound from the TV (as is typical for all sports bars). I would recommend that they turn closed captioning on so customers can follow along with whatever is of interest to watch. Our server was really sweet and patient. It took a long time for our food to arrive after ordering (40 minutes). There was an error (tomatoes on the BLT were regular, not fried green as listed). However, they promptly provided an alternative main entree of our choice. All of the food was really good. The chislic was tasty and tender. The cheeseburger wrap was delicious. The kids devoured the pizza. We look forward to visiting Let It Fly again after they iron out all the growing pains and really hit their groove!!

My husband and I arrived around 7:30pm. It wasn’t busy but it was also Sunday night. Server was really nice but didn’t really know the menu or what beers were on tap. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes for our appetizer which were amazing. The entire we shared a Bacon cheese burger and Caribbean jerk wings. We tried to order pizza but they were out of dough. The burger was good but the wings was the worst part of it . They were over fried, the seasoning wasn’t even sticking to the wings and their was barely any meat for the price point you are paying for.

Passing through Souix Falls wanting dinner? This is your stop! A great menu with lots of variety and delicious food. The vibe was fun, service was great and they have fair pricing. The cheese curds "lost" their cheese so many of them were empty. They were also out of half of their tap beers. The burger was the star here and their tots/fries were absolute perfection. We will be back if we come through again.

Service was slow for how un busy the establishment was. The sandwich was pretty good. The pasta was nothing special. The lamb pizza was tasty. They do limit their menu later on in the night to only bar food. Bingo on Tuesdays is fun, though.

Stopped in on a busy Thursday early evening. Peaches met us at the door and lead us to our table. Great upbeat personality. Made us feel right at home. Terrell was our server. He was fantastic. Answered all of our questions concerning the food menu and beer selection. We ordered the Buffalo Bacon Blue Brussels, they were extremely tasty. I had the Roast Beef Sandwich, it was good, but had too much bread. My wife had the steak Chislic. It was some of the best we have had. Next time we are in the area we will return.

Watecha Bowl is a delightful culinary gem that brings a modern twist to traditional Lakota cuisine. Originally starting as a food truck, this Indigenous-owned establishment has expanded into an express restaurant in western Sioux Falls, offering beloved items like their signature Indian tacos and buffalo burgers. The menu also features unique Native American dishes exclusive to the restaurant, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Wow! This was our first time and we will for sure be back. I had the elk burger and fry bread cheese curds. The burger was cooked perfectly and the cheese curds were good, the dipping sauce was wonderful. The owner came out to talk to me about the nutrition content of his foods to make sure I could eat what he was cooking. He was knowledgeable, patient and kind. If you haven’t been here you are missing out on a hidden gem.
Sam M — Google review
Watecha Bowl has good food, but the ambiance isn’t great. The inside had a heavy cigarette or smoke smell that made it hard to enjoy the space. Additionally, there were no chairs inside, so eating there wasn’t an option unless you wanted to stand. The food itself was delicious, which saved the visit. If you’re planning to go, I’d recommend taking the food to go. With some attention to the smell and seating, this place could be a much better experience overall.

Walking in to this “hole in the wall” establishment and not being sure what to expect quickly turned in to comfort and excitement for great food. Greeted by the owner and ordered from the whiteboard menu we were told everything is made fresh so it would be a little wait. No problem, we walked around admiring the historical Native American photographs, the little merch area and loved that books were offered for customers to read while they wait! We sat down at our very clean table and our food came out in less than 15 minutes. One bite of the fry bread burger and with its fresh bison patty, jalapeños, melted cheese and I knew we had found our new favorite spot. The fry bread has the perfect chew and every bite was so flavorful. Native music coming from the kitchen with soft voices singing along really made us feel like we had been invited to someone’s home, someone who is proud of their culture, proud of their food and they absolutely should be! No doubt one of the best restaurants in Sioux Falls.

A year later... My recent visit was a changing moment. Upon entering I have to stand there and hope someone will take my order while looking upon a handwritten menu. I was fortunate to have the owner take my order but he wasn't friendly. I asked what was on it and he replied by pointing at the menu and said right there .. ok . My order was taken .. 5 tables in the dining area.. 3 for groups of 4 or more as 2 tables for 3 people. One of the group tables had no chairs. So, not in use I guess. I pick the table with the most wobbliness. Honestly it looks like they came from a free listing. I wait 30 minutes for my food (that's fine) it comes out in a to go box . 🤔 Ok.. I had the buffalo burger which the top and bottom is replaced with fry bread cut in half. Toppings included 3 pickles,3 jalapenos and some pico basically with shredded lettuce. I was hoping for a slice of tomato and onion with leaf lettuce. But nope. Ok.. so the patty is hand made and kinda thin but tasty. Meat 7, bread 8, toppings and appealing factor 3. So I went back up and wanted to try the bison chili with fry bread but to my dismay, I was seen by staff in the preparation area and waited for 18 minutes before I gave up. No one acknowledged my existence. 😆 And the location is terrible... In front maybe 4-5 cars can park but after that park around the block in front of someone house and walk over. I seen multiple groups of 5 or more leave due to not enough seating or wait times. Also why is half the dinner area a shop for trinkets.? People came to eat. Also no buffet during the said times . I went on a Wednesday at 1132 am. No buffet... Overall... Will not go back After a year this is the progress.. The meat was flavorful... The bread was good .. The assembled product needs work. Staff, none.. owner -overworked Losing focus.. Still has potential.. So, if you go expect long wait times or not being waited on at all . Parking around the block. Not having a Place to sit. Food is good but not that good were you'll lose time and get upset In conclusion, Just order online and save the bad experience.. enjoy the pictures.. could be fixed or done better...

Never had Native American frybread? You are missing out. Sioux Falls taking care of all the DMV stuff this morning in under 2 hours 😱 and along the way I found this place Watecha Bowl which serves Indian tacos. At first I was confused. Upon further investigation I realized it was frybread tacos. Not only that but a variety of burgers also on frybread “buns”. everything here is closely curated by the owner and he makes sure all the ingredients are local and fresh. He chooses the Bison and Elk and everything else. So here we have Elk burger, frybread curds, Chislic (Bison cuts), and frybread taco. Fresh squeezed lemonade 🍋. 12/10 and thank the powers that I have been reunited with the magical traditional frybread. And if that was not enough they now have FDA approval for their very own frybread mix you can make at home. Tribal drums and singing playing over the speakers. Really great people here. Great food.

The food was amazing. This was my first time trying Indigenous food. I had the Chief bison and Chief chicken tacos with fresh lettue amd tomatoes. The meats were seasoned to perfection. The taco shell was like having a fried light dounut without sugar. It was so good. I had some leftovers 3 hours later and the food still tasted fresh. The service from the owner was impeccable. Very nice and friendly. A must visit if you are in Sioux Falls.

Crumbl Cookies - 41st Street is the latest addition to the viral cookie chain, located near the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls. This Utah-based chain has gained fame for its freshly baked, from-scratch cookies that have taken TikTok by storm. Customers rave about unique flavors like blueberry cheesecake and appreciate the friendly service and quick curbside pickup.
The cookies tasted absolutely delicious, I loved the cookies and the frosting really adds an amazing touch to the cookies. The staff treated me very nicely and smiled at me as soon as I walked in!

On 05/09/2025 I placed a carry out order for 4 cookies as a graduation gift for a friend. When I picked up, I was never shown the cookies the box was sealed upon pickup. I give the cookies to my friend and he facetimes me and shows me at least 8 ants inside the box. I was shocked. I called the store and spoke with a woman who told me there’s nothing she can do about it because she was not able to find my order in the system. (I had given an order number, last four of card, and pickup name) still was not able to find. She told me there’s nothing she can do unless I bring the box back to the store, she claimed it was necessary because people have been “scamming” them recently. I explained to her that I would be bringing them in a garbage bag so ants did not get anywhere in my car. So I drive back to the store with the cookies in the garbage bag. When I went inside and spoke to the woman on the phone she said she had called her General Manager after she got off the phone with me and apparently she wouldn’t be able to remake the cookies or give me a refund until their manager was in the store tomorrow. So I asked her what was the point of telling me to dig them out the trash and drive halfway across town to bring them back if she wouldn’t remake them? she said “it’s common sense to not actually bring a bag full of ants and cookies back”. the whole encounter was shocking especially with how rude the woman was and she was incredibly defensive and spoke over me multiple times. Not a single “i’m sorry about that” I called the next day and was told I would get a refund which I have yet to even receive. Yuck!

Catered for our wedding this past weekend - 10/10 recommend! Ordered lemon cheesecake, banana bread, and Oreo for a total of 108 cookies and they were a HIT! Everyone loved them. We placed our order a week in advance for 9am, we arrived to pick them up and they were all boxed up and ready for us. Only regret with our order was not ordering more!! 🙌🏼

I enjoy coming to the store every time I come to Sioux Falls for a shopping trip. Our family makes it are at home trip on the way home and enjoy the cookies for the rest of the week. They always go over wonderfully the store is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Couldn’t ask for more

This place is pretty nice. The workers are pretty friendly. I ordered online and when I clicked arrived they were pretty quick to bring my order out curbside. I got 4 cookies. Cotton candy, fried ice cream, walnut fudge brownie and old fashioned donut. They were all pretty good besides the cotton candy we thought that one tasted like it has way to much artificial cotton candy flavor. We got 4 pints of ice cream. Cookie dough crunch, peanut butter brittle, snickerdoodle and vanilla bean. The ice cream tastes really good. It seems like it is made with quality ingredients. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the prices are pretty high for cookies and ice cream. I like the rewards they have it’s pretty easy to get 10$ crumble cash. I would definitely come back here again I highly recommend crumble cookies.

Nestled at 812 E, Manna Bakery is a delightful gem that you simply must visit if you're craving something sweet with a Hispanic flair. This charming bakery offers an array of freshly baked goods and breakfast items, making it the perfect spot to satisfy your cravings. The cookies here are not just treats; they are true works of art! With fun seasonal designs and flavors like their classic frosting cookie infused with almond buttercream, each bite is a celebration of creativity and taste.
I had an incredible experience with this bakery and its owner. I went looking for an authentic Mexican bakery to supply dessert for a family get together and I’m so pleased I came across Manna. I stood out very obviously, but I was greeted by friendly people. It’s a very tight space, but i was impressed by not only the large selection of fresh baked goods, but groceries and home essentials, too. As I expected, Spanish was the primary language spoken in the business, which I was prepared for, but the owner spoke to me in excellent English, which was very reassuring and accommodating! He helped me place my order, which they made FRESH for me specifically, since I did place a larger order (30 pastries) I was given a reasonable wait time - only about a half hour and when I returned, not only did the owner bless me with a slight discount, but he included a few other pastries for me to try! I am so thankful for their above and beyond service and the desserts were DELICIOUS! This place is the real deal! Thank you Manna Bakery for your kindness and service to me and my family! I will definitely come back!

Excellent street tacos. Preferred the beef over the pork but both were very flavorful and well seasoned. Excellent meat to tortilla ratio. The side of beans were seasoned perfectly; probably the best beans I’ve tasted. The rice was a good accompaniment to the beans. To go orders only. No onsite seating. Super cramped inside with the bakery and other select groceries but worth it for these tasty street tacos and sides.

Chick-fil-A is a chicken-focused restaurant that is planned to open in fall 2021 in Sioux Falls. The drive-thru was packed for weeks after Chick-fil-A opened at Empire Place, and customers loved the food. Synonyms include: chicken sandwich & nugget restaurant, fast food chain, and chicken restaurant.
Friendly staff, even though they were busy our order was ready quickly and made accurately. Fruit cup was awesome, nice to have fresh fruit as a fast food option! Really nice in the store too, they have real flowers at all the tables. Will be back!

Great service getting through the line… was really surprised by the price - almost $16?? Got the new chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun, subbed mac n cheese for the fries, and got a large lemonade. Everything tasted great with delicious flavor, but I felt the chicken part was a little small/thin. I also didn’t get a fork. Would I recommend? It’s hard to justify the price with what you get imo.
Ben H — Google review
Got a spicy sandwich that only covered half the bun if that. Asked for a large meal and only got the fries large. Small fry in a kids meal seemed like it was sitting out for awhile my fries were hot while my kids were very cold.

I mean what can I say.. it's chic fila they are always great. This lobby was set up a lot differently than most I've seen which was pretty nice and refreshing. The staff here are mostly younger but very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and even though they were very busy the wait wasn't long at all. Of course the drive thru was all the way around the building even in 10 degrees weather.

Place was very clean and the people were friendly. I had a chicken wrap and my husband had their chicken sandwich. My husband said his only complaint would be that the roll was steamed a little too much. Mine was excellent.

I really liked how nice the employees use to be. They were always very cheerful and asked about your day. Chick-fil-A seemed like a good work environment. Unfortunately I have noticed a change in attitude that I feel is directly related to making them work in extreme cold. 25 degrees in SD is too cold for anyone to be working outside in food service. The wind chill here is extreme. I would rather wait longer for better service and quality.

Barbecue restaurant
Squealer's Smoke Shack Bar & Grill in Tea, South Dakota is known for having the best wings in the Sioux Falls area. Their smoked buffalo parm wings are perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce, and their house-seasoned fries are a hit. The menu offers a wide variety of options, but some classic smoke shack items were missing during one visitor's lunch experience. While the food was delicious, another customer felt rushed by the server and wished for a more relaxed dining experience.
This place had great seating and really great food. The wait is definitely worth it! One of my favorite places to go and definitely deserves 5 stars

Meat was really good!! Good smokehouse flavor and cut up right.!! Sauces were all basically the same, the only difference being the heat factor. Would have liked to have had a sweet option or something else. I had the mac n cheese as my side. It was just okay. They treat a corn muffin as a side and it was just dinky. Definitely not worth $3.50. Restroom was clean. Server was friendly.

This was our 403rd BBQ stop in a 35 state 'cue odyssey. We opted for 6 boned-in chicken wings, a stockyard sandwich (pulled pork and chopped brisket) with home seasoned fries, an extra side of onion rings, and refillable iced tea and diet coke. There were three sauces on the table, all distinctive and all worth a try. All 3 turned rather ordinary onion rings and fries into something truly tasty. The brisket, perfectly smoked with great flavor, needed no help, but the sauces brought life to both the pork and the chicken, the latter a bit underdone for our taste. The bill came to $36.80 plus tip. We would drive here for the brisket, but the rest struck us as what you might enjoy if you were just driving by and really hungry.

WOW…food was outstanding and the service and atmosphere was great. Working in the area from Chicago and I will definitely be back. I have to try their ribs. They are only available on Friday and Saturday evenings. The brisket was great…it just melted in your mouth.

We used Squealer’s to cater our son’s high school graduation party. We had the pulled pork and mac ‘n cheese. Roxie went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and offered to run anything else we needed right over if we called. FRIENDLY, confident, professional, and delicious are how I would describe our experience. People came to celebrate our son but stayed for the food :). Every comment we received regarding the food was that it was, “the best we have had today.” Many wanted to know where it came from and most were not surprised when we said Squealer’s. Thank you for making one of our family life events one of the best.

First time at Billy Frogs. 2 for 1 all day every day. Plus any bar that has Wild Turkey 101 always gains my admiration. Drinks were great even though served in a 16 oz cup. Food was really good. Fries and Tots were crisp. Wraps were tasty. I would definitely be back. Service was good and would like to come back for Karaoke one night.

I visited the establishment last weekend and inquired with the bartender regarding the availability of food service; however, he informed me that it was no longer being offered as the kitchen was closed. Notably, about ten minutes later, another patron entered and was able to place an order. Additionally, when I requested to exchange a $100 bill, although the transaction was completed, I unfortunately did not receive the correct amount of change. Overall, my experience was not satisfactory, and I regret to say that I do not plan to return.

Make sure you keep your receipts and check your bank statement after visiting here. Was DD last night and I was charged all these separate charges that equaled more than my ticket was.. if they’re doing this to everyone imagine how much money they are stealing from people. Won’t be back. Bar staff is rude too. Especially the scrawny guy with a buzz cut.
Bree A — Google review
My buddy and his fiance had their bachelor/Bachelorette party here last night. The male bartender was super standoffish from the time we walked in until he refused the groom to be service while openly complainung he wasn't getting tipped enough. Tips are based on SERVICE! If the slow, rude and annoyed bartender had ANY business behind a bar or ANY personality he wouldn't have ANY problems making tips. We spent close to $1000 in there between the 20 or so of us. I over tipped him, 20%, before I realized why everyone in our party decided to leave. Billy Frogs used to be a fun, popular spot. Why hire unappreciative, slow, rude bartenders?
Jay H — Google review
Karaoke dj was dismissive and arrogant (with no skill to back up his job). Waited WAY too long for the people that were there, which means he was being favoritive to the crowd. Also, sound was terrible and I've been there when it's good so I know it's on him... Terrible KJ

I went in to do a little gambling, and when I was asked for my ID, they didn't even glance at it and told me it wasn't valid because it was vertical and not horizontal. I can go to the gas station right across and buy myself some cigarettes and a 6 pack, but I can't gamble. Silly if you ask me.

Went for karaoke, got 3 drinks and a pizza, bill was $28 something, gave a $6+ tip, got charge $68 on what should have been a $35 bill after tip. Tried calling for a week to talk to a manager to get it fixed kept getting told a manager would call and the manager never called to fix it. Had to go through my bank and report it as fraud and show them the receipt. Gone here for YEARS and this is NOT The first time this has happened. Go to literally any other bar in town. EightyOne Arcade Bar is a vibrant gem nestled in downtown, offering an exciting blend of gaming and delicious food. One standout item on the menu is a custom pizza named after local meteorologist Tyler Roney, featuring a creamy buttermilk ranch base topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and more—all served on a signature cracker-thin crust. The bar boasts over fifty arcade games ranging from classic pinball to modern dance machines, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an old-school arcade room.
This place is a lot of fun, lots of old fashioned arcade, pinball and action games like Rambo, Mario Kart and Dance Dance Revolution For $5 you get a card and then $5 will get you 500 points. Each game ranges in points but many / most are 25 points (a quarter like the old days). Also had a few drinks - they have draft and bottled beverages Overall an excellent time if you have a nerdy side like I do

Love barcades, really always a nice touch when a downtown has one conveniently located. We spent around 60 minutes and had played everything, I wish the place was bigger, that’s the only con here. We’ve been spoiled by “up-downs” in other cities. We planned coming here as a majority of our night out and were surprised at how small it is. They make do with the space, some really cool games, a nice bar and a youngish crowd. We arrived and it was quiet, by the time we left at 830 it was getting crowded, which would have made it less enjoy. I hope they can find space to expand! Staff was awesome, place is clean. Worth your time and support!
Marc M — Google review
You can’t charge 5.00 dollars (20 quarters) for a plastic card with no credits on it. It’s absolutely rediculious to overcharge a new customer this amount for a .35 cent debit card. On top of having a rude bartender tell you, it states this right on the screen before you purchase it. So you have a group of 4 or 5 peaple that just walked in and spent 25 dollars with nothing to show for it. Theres no excuse for a business to be overcharging new clientele this amount instead of absorbing the cost. Terrible practice.
Chad O — Google review
This is such a unique arcade that sets it apart from other retro arcade’s. While not the largest, it really hits the mark in game diversity. There’s new shooting game, old school arcade style cabinets, new gorgeous pinball machines and best of all. Japanese style rhythm games. Games you just don’t get a chance to play! They are in English and soooo much fun. They have a few craft draft beers for purchase. Very fair pricing. Highly recommend.
Sean R — Google review
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a entertaining, reasonable cost arcade in downtown Sioux falls. With games ranging from old fashion retro arcade machines (Mario, Pac-man, etc.), rhythm games (DDR, Jubeat), racing games (Initial D, Mario Cart), and more; It's a great place for people to hangout and have a great time. Shout-out to the bartenders for being super nice and very helpful.

Had a great time playing old games. Cost $5 for a card but after that games are reasonable. $5 for 500 points and games range from 25-100 so 25 cents to $1.

I'm not impressed. The food is quality Japanese "take-out" BUT the service is cafeteria style. I have eaten Japanese food in general and sushi in particular from Tokyo (literally) to Sioux Falls and I honestly cannot fathom the glowing reviews of this restaurant. If I had to sum it up in a single word it would be "forgettable." If I were pressed to elaborate, I would add "tasteless." NOTHING had any flavor. Even the wasabi and ginger were so bland they had to add food coloring to them to distract you. Save your money and go to McDonalds.

Mr. Donuts is a popular donut shop in Sioux Falls that opened in January and quickly gained a strong following. The franchise owner, Kim Ueng, aimed to provide convenience by offering a drive-thru option during the winter months. Customers have praised the warm welcome and helpful staff, as well as the swift-moving line at the counter. The store offers a wide variety of delicious donuts at reasonable prices, with options like cake and yeast donuts receiving high praise for their freshness and taste.
This is the old Hardee's place. But they made it there own. Decorated with donut decor. I have tried Mr donut on Minnesota and didn't care for it. But my daughter loved this one so I figured i would try it. We got some basic donut holes 2$ for 16 nice size holes. The donuts were surprisingly really good. Prices were average. I don't know if they have any day old deal. Service was decent. Went there at 1:30 pm on Saturday and it wasn't busy.

The guy at the counter was friendly and patient with me, even gave me a Texas Kolache to try for free since I wasn't sure if I wanted one on top of all the donuts and rolls I purchased. We normally do drive through, easier with kids. 45% of the time one of our donuts is wrong or missing. They have trouble with their machine working in order to pay with card so cash is needed. But the flavor and taste of the donuts is what keeps brings us back.

Crisp and Green is a new salad and health restaurant that's set to open in Sioux Falls in July. The restaurant offers free workouts - perfect for when you don't have time to hit the gym - as well as delicious salads and smoothies.
Great staff to walk you your first time. Also very quick. Salads are incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Big salads, well worth the $. A bit noisy, but clean.

Always look forward to a fresh lunch at Crisp and Greens. We have eaten at several locations in the Midwest, but live closest to the Sioux Falls location. The flavors and recipes of the food is spot on and we just love trying new things! However, the location in Sioux Falls needs a lot of help. It does not matter what time of day we visit (peak v non-peak times), our order has been incorrect EVERY time. I ask for it to be corrected and I get one of two responses: “Sorry we are just really busy” or “ You should have told us that when you ordered”. It always seems any mistakes that are made are someone else’s fault. For example, today my husband and I order one wrap and one bowl. We ordered it through the app around 12:35, and I was notified that it would be ready by 1:01pm. So, I arrived at the store to pick up my order at 1:05. Seven people were ahead of me in the online order pickup area. After talking to some of them, many had been waiting 15-30 minutes past their stated pickup time. Many of them had items that had been missed on their order so a couple of them came back in to get the missing item put on the bowl or get their drink that was forgotten. The young woman at the checkout kept getting frustrated with us customers asking about our orders and stated, “it’s just really busy right now” instead of “I’ll check on that for you”. When an order was ready, instead of calling out the name on the order she pushed her way through us and just set it in the pickup shelves. So we all went over to see if it was our order, which could have been eliminated by just calling out a name for the order. There was another young woman that started helping and eventually we all got our orders, but if the Second Lady wouldn’t have come over to help, I’m not sure many of us would have continued to wait for our orders. I finally got my order at 1:32 and my husbands wrap was soggy because it had been sitting in the bag for quite some time and I had had several custom toppings missing from my bowl that I paid extra for. Usually the food makes up for the crappy service, but not this time. This location is not clean. Anytime we have visited, tables are dirty, floor and carpets are sticky or filthy. Bathrooms are out of toilet paper and not clean. I am not sure if it’s management that needs to be retrained as to what is acceptable for a restaurant that is serving fresh, nutritious food, but this location needs several issues remedied. I have stopped at this location many times and every time I tell myself maybe it will be better at my next visit; however today was my last. I have not had any other complaints similar to this with any other location I have eaten at. It is unfortunate because I LOVE eating here, but I guess I will have to save it for when I am on the road traveling.

I had a disappointing experience. I visited around 8 PM when the store was empty—no line, no other customers. Despite that, the staff member rushed me through my order in an unfriendly manner. I was ordering multiple bowls and trying to manage everything, but she showed no patience or courtesy. On top of that, they charge extra for nearly everything, and the portions of those paid toppings are incredibly small. The prices are way too high for what you get.

Honestly best place if you’re looking for a pretty calm and healthy option of eating out on your lunch. Love the customer service, one of the employees even went out of their way to hand out my order to me!

I was visiting from out of town and was looking for a salad place, and Crisp & Green came up as being nearby. I ventured in and was impressed with the clean, modern atmosphere. However, I soon began to feel uncomfortable. I first went to the salad line and no one greeted me. I was looking at the menu and noticed there were acai bowls available. My husband and I typically try these in every city we visit, so I decided to try one. Here was the first problem: the digital signboard would only show the acai menu briefly and it was hard to compare between the bowls when it only flashed for seconds at a time. In finally just chose one, and a sign said to order bowls at the cash register. I got out of the salad line and went around, and people coming from the salad line to pay looked at me oddly because they didn't know why I was standing there. After a period of time, I just told the girl I needed to order an acai bowl, even though she never acknowledged my presence. I then stood off to the side waiting on my order, and after a time, she realized I was still there and she left the cash register and went and made the bowl herself. I've tasted MANY acai bowls. This one was just okay. I love having clean options that are easily and quickly accessible, so I want Crisp & Green to do well, but they need to go to different places and sample acai bowls. Some of my favorites are from a mall in Salt Lake City across the street from the Convention Center, and City Bowls in Birmingham, AL. Those are the best I've ever had. The protein base at Crisp & Green was okay, but the toppings were nothing special. I wish they had been layered so you got some of everything in each bite, plus there needed to be more toppings for a better ratio of acai to toppings. City Bowls would be worth visiting to know what I am talking about, or see my pictures online.
Tami G — Google review
I've been here a few times and it's usually good but inconsistent. I'll get a huge portion one time then my bowl is half full the next time. My soel bowl was missing a couple ingredients. Overall still a decent spot.
Ryan W — Google review
Unfortunately, we will no longer be customers of Crisp & Green. The last three times we’ve tried to place an order through the app, it has stalled on the payment page and never processed. When we called to place an order instead, we were told you don’t take orders over the phone. For many customers, especially those with young children, going into the store and waiting is not a practical option. If you offer an ordering platform, it should function reliably, or you should provide an alternative option that doesn't include directing customers to DoorDash, that, of course, comes with added cost. Reliable ordering is an essential part of the customer experience, and without it, we simply can’t continue ordering from Crisp & Green.

Zooks Coffee Bar is a delightful gem that promises an unforgettable experience for coffee lovers and foodies alike. Recently, they partnered with Squealers Smoke Shack to host Zooks After Dark, creating a vibrant evening atmosphere from 6 to 11 p.m. On my first visit, I was eager to try their flight of drinks but learned reservations were necessary due to staffing challenges.
When my wife and I stopped for our first time here i wanted to get a flight. I was disappointed to hear i should make a reservation. So I contacted management and told them about my situation. They apologized and had told some workers were out because of being ill and reassuring me if I make a reservation for a flight I would not regret it, so I did just that. When I returned and got my flight, noted in pictures, you can plainly see the dedication and time it took to make such a beautiful board and a tasty set of drinks. And I'll tell you right now without a doubt that the breakfast sandwich here is absolutely one of the best I have ever had in a long time... well ever. This is my favorite and I've tried lots of them from las Vegas to atlantic city in New Jersey. So now I tell you make a reservation for a flight and some breakfast you will not be let down. Thank you guys. I've returned since and will continue to do so.

I have been coming to Zooks since they opened and have always had wonderful coffee. The flights are worth it and so fun to do. Make a reservation for those. My new favorite brew from Zooks is Blondie Macchiato. I use the app for a more complete menu as the drive up menu does not capture all of their wonderful brews! When we do order food it is always great!

This was only my second time going, they have so much on their menu that can accommodate any taste. I asked what the top buzzed drink was and the employees were very helpful and listed off a few popular ones. I got mermaid tears and it is definitely a 5 ⭐️ drink

Cute coffee shop with delicious coffee!! I ordered the coffee flight with Salty Dog cold brew, iced chocolate mousse latte, mermaid tears energy and just beachy energy. The Just Beachy was my favorite, and the perfect drink for a summers day!! The flights to need a reservation, but if they are slow they are willing to accommodate. 10/10 worth the drive from Sioux Falls for a cute coffee stop!!

Whoever said “great faces great places” must have been thinking about Zooks!! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming! They go above and beyond for their customers and always make sure you’re satisfied!! The place itself is super clean! And the food and coffee is out of this world! 100/10 recommend to everyone! If you’ve been thinking about visiting don’t wait any longer! It’s always an amazing experience! Run to Zooks!❤️

I asked for an iced vanilla matcha with cold foam and unfortunately recieved chunky water. It kind of tasted like they just mixed a little matcha powder into cold water and forgot the cold foam, vanilla, and milk. Tasted like water and was very thin and chunky. I did ask the batistas to remake it, and they were very sweet and appolgized, but the next drink I received tasted warm and worse. A little disappointed for a seven dollar drink. :(

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Zooks is my happy place! I've been coming here for years and it's always a 10/10 experience. From their one-of-a-kind drinks to that dreamy avocado toast (seriously, it’s magic on a plate you have to try), I’m hooked! I gladly make the 25-minute trek from Sioux Falls almost every week—totally worth it every time. Oh, and it’s pup-friendly too! My sweet boy practically sprints to the door. We’re both big fans!

Guests can indulge in an exciting flight featuring unique brews like Party AnimALES fruit beer and Severing Ties Sky imperial pastry stout, among others. One delightful aspect of this establishment is its wall adorned with whimsical beer doodles on coasters, showcasing some impressive artistry.
Uodate 1/4/25: Had a chance to visit with two great events going on. Dakota Dachshund Rescue and Rudy Navarrete's Juicy Sioux-zy Burger Battle entry along with some really good beer! A great Saturday afternoon in downtown Sioux Falls! Well done and compliments to everyone who made it happen.

As a local real estate agent in Sioux Falls, SD, I’m always recommending great spots to my clients, and Severance Brewing Company is at the top of the list! Located right downtown, it’s a must-visit for craft beer lovers. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, making it a great place to unwind after a long day or bring clients for a casual meet-up. Their rotating selection of locally brewed beers has something for everyone, and the staff is super knowledgeable about the options. If you’re new to Sioux Falls or just visiting, Severance Brewing is the perfect spot to experience the local flavor. Plus, being a part of the vibrant downtown scene, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Sioux Empire community. Highly recommend!

2025 update: Took the kids to the brand new playground and splash pad across the street. The entire time I looked longingly across the street at Severance, craving a cool beer in some shade. Luckily, Severance opened at noon. The same great service and selection I've come to expect over the years. Today's selection I especially enjoyed the Taco Stand Hand Stand, a delicious lighter beer with just the right amount of lime. My wife and kids came over after they were done so it's awesome Severance is kids friendly. I even think I saw a dog inside. For food they got Sunny's pizza, which is my favorite thin crust in town. If that's not for you you can bring in food from local businesses, like we came over with two bags of food from down the block. All the crew I've had here have been great, today Jessi took great care of us Severance is a near weekly staple for us it's that good. Samurai Tasteas Teppanyaki Sushi Steakhouse is a new, quality restaurant in the area of the west side. They serve sushi, steak, and tempura dishes. The sushi is fresh and of high quality, and the steak and tempura are cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and always happy to make things perfect for their guests.
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The service is prompt and friendly, the food is delicious and authentic. This is one of my favorite spots to go to have a nice, quiet dinner with my family. It’s got a diverse menu of sushi and traditional Japanese dishes so that anyone could find something to love.

Food and sushi were good, although rice was a bit dry. We stopped in for dinner. We ordered at 6pm, and didn't get our food until 7pm. We ordered 5 sushi rolls. There were a total of 3 tables in the restruant that had people sitting at them. One waitress, and two cooks. Waitress didn't seem interested in keeping in top of things, and one cook was obviously not wanting to be at work. When they finally got around to preparing our food, one chef disappeared and it took the other 25 min to make all of our sushi. The sushi was good, but there are better places in town for the same price with much better and faster service. I wouldn't recommend stopping in here.

Food was overall good but nothing special. Rainbow rolls were delicious and have a lot of fish on them. My husband liked his pork katsu. I would not recommend getting the boba tea here. We ordered the taro milk tea and it’s overly sweet but doesn’t taste like taro. The color looks off too, like a deeper purple. We went for a late lunch on Sunday and there was no wait. Our server was really sweet.

First time here absolutely love the food and the menu right from the start. I believe they have the same drinks as " Tasteteas " in town. Which makes the food and drinks excellent. If you like Japanese food come here. They also have eel, sea urchin, and tons of sashimi options.

We got to Samurai when they were not busy. There was only one other table there when we arrived. By the time we left there were maybe 4-6 tables seated mostly with two people each and our table of four. They seem unable to keep pace even with few customers. The server was definitely new and his attire was unbecoming. He was not able to answer basic questions about menu items and didn’t offer to find out so our questions simply went unanswered. He never checked on us to see how our food was or to offer refills on beverages and we had to go to the bar area to ask for our check and to get a to go box. I ordered a boba tea as my drink but I didn’t receive it until after I received my soup, salad, and appetizer (35 minutes after ordering it). Full service time from order to check was about one hour so overall, not bad there for a weekend casual visit but probably not for a lunch break during g the week. Aside from the service, the food was surprisingly good for how much the microwave was used. I’d personally put that out of sight in my kitchen as it’s not the most classy thing to see used continuously in a restaurant. We also saw prepackaged food being opened and served although we couldn’t quite see what was in the bags. Our bill came out to $80 for two appetizers and 4 entrees which for good food and atmosphere would have been worth it if I didn’t feel like I was partially just served frozen food from SAMs Club out of the microwave. Hide your prepackaged goods and your microwave usage better and work on your wait staff’s appearance, education of menu, and attentiveness. **UPDATE** After about 4 months we did return to Samurai and have updated my review from 2 stars to 3 starts due to many improvements. The best part was probably the waitress. She was great! Much better service than our previous visit. Food was still on the slow side but times were pretty much cut in half across the board and the microwave was nowhere to be seen! Based on the owners response, I have no doubt they’re still using it but moving it out of sight was a good business decision. The miso soup is not for me. It might just be that I don’t like miso soup because I’ve only ever had it at one place that I actually liked it. The gyoza appetizer is amazing! We ordered one for each of us! When my fried noodles came, the plate was beautiful and vibrant (see picture). The food here is good! If I had two suggestions to help them thrive it would be to #1 speed up food service and #2 simply the menu (which will also help accomplish #1). If you think that the the regular menu is huge and confusing, just for laughs, ask to so the boba tea menu. Seriously, wow! It’s great to have such personalized offerings but not at the expense of overwhelming your customers with choices. Pick like 6 great bobas combinations and offer them, if nothing else make them your “house favorites” and I bet more people order those than any combination of customizable ones. We hope they keep improving, we do like the food here. We’ll be back to check on them again!

Great little coffee shop in Brandon! The bagel breakfast sandwiches were delicious and a great option for breakfast. And bonus- the bagels are locally made! The loft seating area provided a wonderful place for kids to run around and also provided a little bit of privacy. And the lending libraries of books and games were a neat bonus! If I'm ever in the area again, I will be back for sure!

For an easy casual cup of coffee or a sweet delicious latte, this is an awesome shop to go to! Tons of seating in a large open strip mall location with a rustic approachable interior. The staff was all super nice, and their excitement for their work and the business they built was infectious. The owner (I assume he was the owner anyway!) even offered us a taste of a new drink he is creating for their winter menu. Tried Kabob King at 1609 E 10th Street. Nothing good that I found! Ordered a grape leaves appetizer as shown in the picture on the overhead menu. Received a few tiny cold grape leaves in a plastic container that they took out of the cooler behind them and tossed on the counter. Cold, dripping in marinade, no sauce. Mushy and flavorless. We both ordered the mixed grill platter, you can see in the picture what they purport it to look like and contain. Another big discrepancy! Dry flavorless chicken, no salad dressing, warmed up rice with 3 kebabs, only one of which had any real flavor. They yell your name from the counter where you have to order and prepay; so you get the honor of retrieving your own tasteless food in to go boxes with plastic silverware. Had to go back up to the counter and ask for the bread and pickles that's included with the meal; was told they left it out because "people usually don't want it." We were then given a few halfway decent tasting pickle slices and, I hand to God; TORTILLA SHELLS. Not Mediterranean flatbread, not naan; warmed up store bought TORTILLA SHELLS. All the condiments on every table were mostly used, empty, or dirty. Floors dirty. Very tacky, overpriced, inauthentic, and unfriendly. You want good kabobs? Khorosan Kabob House at 923 S Marion Road is DEFINITELY worth the extra miles and driving time. I give King Kabob 6 months at most. Total waste of time and money! #Kingkabob #KHOROSANKABOBHOUSE

We placed an order of Chicken Shawarma Platters, a Greek Salad and a Falafel platter. The salad was barely bigger than my side salad and (after asking for it eith no onions) it still came with onions. It's very difficult to pick onions out of a salad. The fries on the platters were barely cooked and almost raw. The chicken was very dry. I wish the pattern had come with a sauce or bread, that may have helped. Overall, the food was OK but I'm not sure I'd go back.

We went with the cake lady for our wedding because she was highly recommended. The cake looked great, but did not taste good. My husband and I were super disappointed when we took that first bite during our wedding. The cake ended up being over $100 after she told me it would be $80 for an 8in cake. I contacted her through email and text and never received anything back. Very sad about this whole thing. Would not recommend to others.

The Cake Lady and her team used the invitation for my nephew's baby shower as inspiration for the cake, and it was honestly perfect. We had so many compliments on the cake, I couldn't be happier. The flavors were delicious too. Thank you!
Nicki H — Google review
Let me first start by saying I usually don't post bad reviews, having worked in the service industry, but this I couldn't not post. The ordering process was ok and done through texting. Typically professional businesses would have an order form online or utilize emailing for back and forth conversations. However, the communication was pleasant to order. I originally ordered a 6 in cake that would have been $52, then after thinking about the design of what I wanted thought the 8 in cake would work better. I upgraded to the 8 in which put the price at $80 plus tax. I was fine with that, but when I went to pick the cake up I paid with my credit card and it asked for a tip... a tip? I'm already paying $80 for a cake, I was going to cancel the tip but was not given the option to, my total bill ended up being over $100. It gets worse... when I walked in I saw fruit flies flying around. They did what I asked as far as design wise, base color of the frosting was purple, however there was black smear on the top which should have been fixed (photo attached). Not only that, the flavor was supposed to be cookies and cream and the cake itself did not have any flavor to it. I could have baked a better cake. The buttercream frosting on the outside was very bland. I'm not sure if the other reviewers raving about how good these cakes are has actually ever had a good cake, because this was not it....

Beware and proceed with caution! Contacted them 3 months before my wedding to do a bride and groom cake. Emailed a few times . Then communication dropped. I started calling about 6 weeks out. Made an appointment. Met with Anna who was frazzled but nice in person. She got our design and details. She said to contact her 2 weeks before the wedding. I called. No response. Called again a week before the wedding. Left a voicemail. No response. Stopped in person two days before the wedding. We were assured they were ready. Stopped in the day before the wedding. Anna asked what my design was and when the wedding was. Told to pick up the cakes at 10 am for a 6pm wedding. Fiancé showed up at 10 the day of the wedding. Anna had the order for the wrong day. But she said she would get it done and would deliver the cake by 5:30. As of 5:45 the night of our wedding it was not there. But when I walked down the aisle , both cakes were there. And she did not charge us. The cheesecake was delicious and the pink champagne was moist. The design was very nice and she did a good job. But the stress was not worth it.

We had the Cake Lady for our wedding and it was amazing. Our wedding cake turned out fantastic and the guests loved the cupcakes! We had wonderful experiences with their customer service, and we couldn’t be happier.

Don't order from here! My son's father ordered a Yoda birthday cake and ordered weeks before the actual date. The date comes to pick up to only tell him it wasnt ready! That to come back in few hours and they'll make sure to have it ready. The time arranged was 2pm and goes at 5ish and to only be handed the ugliest cake ever made! Not even close to the yoda photo cake. You can tell they rushed to decorate it. This location is not professional.

Highball Bar in Sioux Falls is a stunning cocktail destination that captivates visitors with its inviting ambiance. Bathed in natural light during the day and adorned with vibrant hues at night, it creates a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The bar features chic decor, including graphic wallpaper and plush furs draped over cozy couches, complemented by an outdoor firepit for those who enjoy al fresco sipping.
You need to come here. The vibes are so cool! They play cool music and have nice cozy spots to tuck into. Our bartenders were great! Very nice and you could tell they knew what they were doing. Drinks were immaculate. I recommend the Love on the Rocks and the Verdita Margarita. Top notch place!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Experience – Overcharged and Poor Service Went out with my wife for a date night and ended up disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, but the service was slow—we sat for a long time before anyone even approached us. I had to go to the bar myself to order drinks. I asked the bartender with long hair how much an Old Fashioned with Blanton’s was—he clearly told me $18. I ordered it, plus two more later. When the bill came, I was charged $18 each plus an additional $24. When I asked about it, he said that’s “just because it’s an Old Fashioned,” which made no sense. I specifically asked the price before ordering. He apologized and said he’d fix it, but nothing was removed. This isn’t how you run a business. Misleading customers and hoping they won’t notice the charges is not acceptable. I won’t be coming back.

Came to Sioux Falls for a concert and found this shining gem of a cocktail bar. Quiet Tuesday evening with excellent drinks and good music. Well worth the stop in!
Rachel E — Google review
The environment is fantastic. I love the lighting and the wood, and the wallpaper is a nice touch. Don't sit in the grey chairs - they are angled downward and make you feel like you're going to slide out. Our bartender was very nice and our drinks tasted like they were supposed to, but knowing that this place is from the likes of The Carpenter Bar and The Treasury, I expected more from their cocktail menu. There wasn't anything special - just basics. I was anticipating creative cocktails like at the other two bars, but no such luck.

Top notch downtown on 8th Street! Love the atmosphere, the staff is superb!, and the drinks were excellent!!

My daughter and I stopped in and really like this place! Cool vibe, great music, and bartenders were very accommodating to our tastes (drinks that don't taste like alcohol, yes I know)! Both bartenders talkative and welcoming!

First time at the Highball Bar snd it was fantastic. Great Bourbon Selection (Wellers Full Proof, Eagle Rare, Blanton’s plus several others). Great signature drink selection. I went with the Old Fashion with Blanton’s. Spacious and contemporary. Bartender was friendly and attentive.

Ice cream shop
Sweet Cheeks is a locally-owned self-serve ice cream and toppings bar located in a strip mall near 69th Street and Louise Avenue. The store offers a variety of flavors, some of which are gluten-free and lactose-free. Customers can create their own ice cream cups or cones for 55 cents per ounce and add various toppings, including unique options like rock candy and Legos. The shop is known for its cleanliness, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and wide selection of toppings.
This is the exact kind of place we like to go to. High-quality service, high-quality food, and it’s not a big chain. At least it doesn’t have that chain feel. The prices were a little higher than what we used to playing in our hometown. But we would come again.
Stephen M — Google review
The store is neat and clean, there were seats available when we visited. I was able to find two flavors to try. There are plenty of topping options. I do not think I would come back here because as soon as you walk in ypu are overtaken by the stench of marijuana. It was so strong I could taste the smell. If you like to smell weed and eat this is your place.
Stacy S — Google review
Okay ice cream shop. There were several varieties to choose from; however, over half of the machines were blinking "low" and needing re-filled. Most of the ice cream from these was runny and half-melted. It was not due to a "busy rush" as we were the only ones in the entire store. The waffle-cone pieces for toppings were stale. No staff welcomed us upon entry; she only showed up at the counter when we were ready to checkout. The tables were mostly clean, but the floors were quite dirty. Product seemed overpriced for the amount we actually got. Over $11 for 2 small bowls barely half-filled. Probably not worth returning here.
Kyle P — Google review
I'm so happy to share with the world the great news of this outstanding and unique ice cream shop, Sweet Cheeks! For 55 cents per ounce you can build your own ice cream in a cup or cone and dump whatever toppings you wish on them. There is a huge variety of awesome toppings. A couple that stood out to me immediately were the rock candy and the Legos. Great Value! 55 cents per ounce goes a long way. Sure as hell beats the competition! There was not a huge selection of ice cream flavors but the ice cream itself was quality, easy to serve from the machine and the lack of flavors is not enough for me to keep this place from getting a 5 star rating. I loved this place, my crew loved it and most importantly Pumper approves!
George D — Google review
We like going here when on a binge for all of the choices!! Would give 5 stars if there were a frozen yogurt option daily. Other than that one minor thing... fabulous! We need half star options!
Amy H — Google review
They offer a handful of flavors at a time and change them out every week. They had a good selection of toppings to go with that ever flavors you selected. And they have dividers for if you can’t decide which flavor you want. I love that they offer dairy free sorbets, it can be hard to find those at ice cream shops
Crafting A — Google review
My teens convinced me to try this place and the toppings were stale and the ice cream was not appetizing. We spent $18 for 3 of us and we threw it all in the trash. I will say that the environment was fun and clean and the employee was friendly.
Julie P — Google review
We stayed two nights in Sioux Falls and went by for a treat both nights. The flavors for the week were on the website and showed what was both gluten free and lactose free. The placards showing the flavors on the machines also showed what was lactose and gluten free. Only one flavor was not gluten free when we were there. Super clean and super friendly staff. All the flavors were available. Even had some take home containers of last week’s flavors. Awesome experience for a gluten free family with celiac kids.

Intoxibakes is a bakery that specializes in making birthday cakes for daughters. Their cakes are always delicious and their work is impeccable. They are able to capture the theme of any daughter's birthday with ease, and their cakes are some of the most popular in town. Intoxibakes is a must-go bakery for any celebration!
I can't say enough good things about IntoxiBakes! We needed a cake for my son's 3rd birthday on very short notice, and despite the fact that they were in the middle of moving locations across town, they pulled it off beautifully. Communication was smooth and easy, the pricing was fair, and most importantly, my son absolutely loved the cake! It was clear they put a lot of care into making it special, even with the tight timeline. I highly recommend IntoxiBakes for anyone looking for amazing service and delicious treats!

I found this place using TooGood app it is fabulous the baked goods are so rich and yummy, fudge is sinful and the staff so nice. It is not some pretentious shop it is relaxed and bright. I go in regularly now and even ordered my granddaughters birthday cakes there. They do offer a wide variety of non boozy items and great old fashioned candy. Try the butter finger fudge if your lucky enough to get some

Special request for my daughters 21st birthday. They did an amazing job. Made the cake exactly how I wanted and even added to it by leaving one show off and one bottle upside down. We all loved it including my daughter. The taste was wonderful as well. Highly recommend!
Brandie S — Google review
While we were visiting a nearby restaurant, we discovered a hidden gem. We ended up trying the Cinnamon Vanilla Rum and Peachy Oh cupcakes. Both were considered "Boozy" by the store standards. In other words, both have a little bit of alcohol in them. I must say they were some of the best cupcakes we've ever had! They were so good in fact that we had to go back for seconds! All I will say is if you're in the area and craving desserts such as cupcakes, cake pops, or bar cakes, this is definitely a must try. They have both Boozy and Non-Boozy options so there's options for everyone!

My sister had made a request for a cake on the phone and out-of-state for yours truly and my mom. Intoxibakes worked with her and was able to make an amazing cake (I believe the outside was chocolate ganache and inside was mousse), honestly the best I've ever had. Absolutely worth it! Thank you Intoxibakes for helping make my birthday an enjoyable experience for my family, they loved it! P.S. Especially loved the edible message they laid out around the cake, was genuinely surprised that could be done!

If you find yourself in downtown Sioux Falls, make sure to stop by Mary's Mountain Cookies, a delightful bakery that has quickly become a local favorite since opening its first storefront in December. Known for their impressive quarter-pound cookies—often described as "the size of your head"—this charming spot offers an array of flavors that will satisfy any sweet tooth.
After searching for dessert options we stoped by Mary’s Mountain Cookies after finding rave reviews online while vacationing in the area. I absolutely love cookies and the selection when I walked it was incredible. Tough choices to be made! I tried the Peanut Butter Cup cookie and my wife tried the Oreo Edible Cookie Dough. I had zero complaints with the cookie. Wife was mildly disappointed with the cookie dough. Mainly just wish she had tried a different flavor. (I’ll still get to enjoy it) 5/5 would come here again.
Nathan E — Google review
After exiting the pizza place a few stores down, I pushed the wife to the right and we made our way down to Mary's Mountain Cookies. Upon entering, it's a quaint little place. All the cookies and desserts look amazing. We purchased several items. Prices were decent, desserts were delicious. I will say, after reading the review regarding the graduation cake, I won't come back to this place. Clearly the photos show a terrible decoration and I believe you were rude to the customer. Shame on you, I did have you a 4 star, for that, I will go down to 2 star..Shame on you.

Absolutely delicious cookies!! You must go get some. Come hungry and share. They are huge!!
R B — Google review
We ordered a graduation cookie cake for our son. When my daughter picked it up, the decorations were horrible. I called to speak with the manager and was told they don't have one. I asked again and was told she was at a wedding and would call me back. Oddly enough I received a call in less than 30 minutes from someone who didn't give their name. When I told her the decorations looked bad, she was rude stating she had done it herself and it looked fine. She was not compassionate and had the worst customer service. She did offer a refund but said she's only giving it since she wouldn't decorate it the way I want it. I just wanted it to look nice. There was no apology. The cookie tasted great, just don't get anything decorated from them and don't expect good customer service. Hopefully the refund happens this week.

The cookies were great. We got the buy 6 got 2 free deal. Cookies were about 3$ each. The employees were really friendly. The cookies were large. Nice flavors and variety.

Was visiting Sioux Falls from Chicago. Got a tip to check this place out. Lovely store and very friendly staff. Excellent deal of buy 6 get 2 free going now (cookies are roughly $3.50 each). You can also opt to "pay it forward" and buy a cookie for a future guest, which is neat 😊 Cookies taste great!
Kevin P — Google review
We love the big cookies! Don’t forget the milk to wash it down!
William L — Google review
The cookies were amazing, this is a very cute and well put together shop. Service was a bit rude. I fully acknowledge, I am being a bit of a Karen here, but if you are too busy to serve a customer, it’s probably polite to let them know “I’ll be with you in a moment”, instead of ignoring them, making eye contact, and not saying anything leaving me to stand there thinking OK I’m doing something wrong maybe they’re not open maybe it’s serve yourself. I have no idea. I’m looking for signs to tell me if I’m doing something wrong. That’s the only reason for the 3. Highly recommended otherwise.

First Stop Coffee Shop, located at the corner of 12th and Ellis, is a delightful local gem that has quickly become a favorite among coffee enthusiasts. Celebrating its first anniversary, this charming drive-up stand offers an inviting atmosphere with new outdoor seating where patrons can enjoy their drinks. Dads visiting on Father's Day can indulge in half-priced coffee drinks of their choice—a perfect treat! Had a delicious lavender iced coffee it was very good. I'm a coffee snob too. I get freshly roasted beans weekly. Now the Carmel rolls!! I now live in Ohio where they don't make Carmel rolls! But even so I love Carmel rolls and these were perfect. The bread was light and baked perfectly. The Carmel was smooth and not sticky. I bought several rolls !

What a fun experience at First Stop Coffee Shop! The lady working was so kind, helpful, and personable. The coffee is amazing! They have awesome options, sugar free choices, and non coffee choices. They make it all on the spot and you can tell! The pastries are amazing and served warm. Its all homemade, which is fantastic like your grandma made it. Definitely will suggest to others a trip to this little coffee hut.

Delicious coffee this morning we were excited when we saw something on this side of town that wasn't coffea! Which hasn't been great lately and they are getting to be a bit much. I think I'll be bringing all my coffee and breakfast sandwich business here now! I love the local aspect and the fact it's a coffee shack I just love it! 5/5 stars! I'll definitely be back soon! The young man who made the coffee and breakfast sandwich/burrito this morning did a fantastic job!

Delicious, well priced coffee. The owner is the most ridiculously sweet lady and the guy working was awesome and great to look at. Got a mocha frappe and a strawberry smoothie. Both were YUMMY and the pup got a little treat as well.

I don’t know what took us so long to try out this place. We stopped here twice in 3 days and both times the coffee has tasted great. We decided to try a breakfast sandwich and caramel roll the 2nd time around. Both of them tasted fresh and homemade. The customer service has been great as well. This will definitely be our new go-to coffee stop!
Molly B — Google review
Stopped by for our first time and it will definitely not be our last! Conveniently located and easy to find! Smoothie was one of the best my husband has had, super fresh and the cream on top was delicious! The breakfast burritos tasted homemade, they did not last long. I got a Hot Chai, hit the spot. Best of all, locally owned and operated!
Michelle S — Google review
Very nice staff. Unfortunately, the lattes were underwhelming. Tasted like sweet milk and thought maybe a mistake had been made. They told us the lattes were made right but they could get us more coffee to make it stronger. A latte is made with espresso. The image is of what we were given. Espresso is not cold. It tasted like watered down cold brew maybe? Not impressed and will not be returning.

The hot cocoa was just what we needed on this cool winter evening! The prices, friendly service, and ambience were a fantastic experience. I got the PC hot cocoa and it was the best I've had. I literally can not put into words how fantastic this place is! The owner puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and it shows! Her cakes were decorated so beautifully I hated cutting into it. But that changed as soon as I got a taste!! It was so good and the largest slice of cake I’ve ever had that filled me up quickly!! The cake was so moist, and I LOVE that this establishment never freezes their cakes. 100% worth the price, and I WILL be getting more of their goodies. 10/10.

As a person who has a major sweet tooth this place was AMAZING!!!!! The place has such a wonderful positive atmosphere. All the employees are so sweet and are such big help. I have struggled in the past for such great customer service and this place by far is the best in South Dakota. All the desserts are DELICIOUS!!! I appreciate that everything they have is made fresh the morning before the store is opened. Other places that I have been too rather save product by freezing them rather than throwing them out.. I have been going to Prairie Coco and Confections many times and can proudly say that each time I go there they just amaze me even more than the last time I went there. I HIGHLY recommend this place for people that love sweets just as much as I do!!

Wahlburgers @ Hy-Vee has made its debut in South Dakota, opening its doors in September at 1900 S. Marion Road. This popular chain, known for its upscale burgers, chicken sandwiches, and shakes—thanks to the hit TV show of the same name—offers a delightful dining experience. Guests rave about their meals; one enjoyed the Thanksgiving Turkey Burger paired with crispy fries while another savored a Crispy Chicken Ranch Sandwich accompanied by thin onion rings.
The food was great! Loves that the buns were fried in butter too! I had the Thanksgiving Turkey Burger with fries and my mother had the Crispy Chicken Ranch Sandwich with thin crispy onion rings! Both meals were great and well recommended. We plan to try new things each time we go! The staff could have been a little bit more knowledgeable but the place just opened so have to be a bit understanding. I love that we can see the cooks preparing our food on the screen! Can’t wait to try something new here next time!

So I had heard mixed reviews about this place so my daughter & I decided to give it a try. We each got the $10 Walburger & tots meal. Neither of us were impressed. The burger and bun were "soggy". There is no other way I can think to describe it. The bun was practically melted. The pickles & onions did appear fresh but my daughter said her tomato tasted soggy/off as well. Half the tots were good & the other half hard. To make it worse we had to clean off our own table as none were clean. I must say the only great part of the experience was that the girl who waited on us was very nice. All in all I would save your money and choose a better option.

Hubby and I visited Whalburger’s for the very first time. Yum Yum. We were not disappointed. Well, deep down I was because Donnie wasn’t there. Lol. None of them were but he’s my favorite. The burgers were soooo good. He had the sweet potatoe tots and I had the onion rings. Both were delicious. Their special sauce was also most delicious. Definitely a must go to place. 👍👍👍

Been to the one in Vegas many times. This one is close, but not the same. You order at the very front of the restaurant. Then you get seated inside. Menu is about the same, they've got a few things I couldn't get in Vegas. Inside was very clean, soda station was also very clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Was nice to go right up the road for a taste of Vegas. Food is on the pricey side but worth the cost. Having been to a Wahlberg's before I was prepared for the cost. This isn't Burger King or Crooked Pint so bring your appetite and your dollars.
Eric — Google review
This place is pretty average. The food is pretty mediocre and they charge a lot more then the food is worth I will tell you that much. They take about 40 minutes to make a simple burger meal every time. they don’t make the burgers how you ask them to either. I ask for well done and they always give me a rare burger. The shakes are not that great. the birthday cupcake shake tasted terrible like it was made with cleaning chemicals. The only thing that tasted really good was the tater tots but you can’t really screw those up. They never offered a refund on my food or even give us an apology. The workers never want to remake your food either that’s ridiculous. If they lowered the prices way down I may give this place one more chance but until then I will stay away from these money gougers. There are much better places to eat in Sioux Falls that are cheaper and much more worth your money.
TheTraveler — Google review
We stopped in to eat a late lunch before grocery shopping. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. The burgers were great! I ordered my burger without a bun and it came with the bun. The manager took care of it right away and gave me a whole new burger. One suggestion is to have some menus more easily visible and ordering instructions. That was a bit confusing. Otherwise, it was a great experience and we will be back!
Melissa F — Google review
My wife and I were very disappointed! Our meal came to $36 and It was horrible. The hamburger buns are Dollar General quality. We definitely will never eat there again. Such a bummer because it was a good burger a year ago when we first tried it. The oil the tator tots were fried in made them taste disgusting like the staff never changes the oil.
Lloyd G — Google review
When we stepped in the door we had been greeted and told the order process. The food was delicious. I had a chicken sandwich and my hubby ordered this amazing burger that was stuffed with cheese. The onion rings had been better then expected, they are super skinny. To top the experience off (and I don't know if this was a fluke) New Kids on the Block was playing over head. Now if that doesn't bring back memories and give you the FULL experience. I would recommend Wahlburgers and we will be going back.
