Moroccan restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Rabat's old Medina, Dar Zaki is a top choice for those seeking an authentic Moroccan dining experience. Housed in a traditional Andalusian-style building, the restaurant offers a charming setting with tables spread across various patios, dining rooms, and an outdoor terrace on the upper floor. The menu features classic Moroccan dishes such as tajines and pastelas, known for their deliciously complex flavors.
Best food experience in Rabat until now purely in terms of taste. Top service and great atmosphere. Cozy. Top interior too. and it is in the Medina. A lot going for this place. Price relatively higher than some other places, but the quantity is more as well - so just order a touch less and share :-) Totally worth it. Tip: Get in early like us (we were there 10 min before opening at 7pm and were done before the place filled up) or reserve a table.
Kapil G — Google review
Hidden behind a mirrored door, the restaurant appeared closed upon arrival. However, the door opened after a minute or two of standing outside and we were welcomed into the restaurant by our server. The decor inside was gorgeous and the room was laid out in a traditional manner with one central part to the room and 3 alcoves with tables in each. We are both veggie so we ordered vegetarian cous cous and vegetarian . The restaurant was busy and food took some time to come out, which would suggest that it’s all freshly prepared. The food was delicious and worth the waiting time. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as it has a buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.
M. B — Google review
The food was good, but the service was terrible we were told to sit where we wanted among the three tables but later were moved to the least liked table, as 2 people who were dressed better arrived!!! the waitress was rude and could not tell tell the difference between two types of sausages for couscous, she was just ignoring us when we tried to order deserts. Also this place is overpriced for nothing, there was no good atmosphere in that place, was really loud and noisy and the waitress made it even worse. Half of the menu was not available Also it’s TOURIST TRAP !!! There are way more nicer places out there and with better prices.
Olga G — Google review
Great culinary experience in Rabat at Dar Zaki. The restaurant offers Moroccan typical cousine, with interesting varieties of tajine and Pastilla. We tried the lamb and aubergine and Chicken and apricots ones. The location indoor is stunning. Prices are slightly above Moroccan restaurant’s average, but with purpose.
Lorenzo P — Google review
Nice restaurant with pleasant staff , menu a bit short but you find some good food there. Over all happy from the visit and good value for money, loved the in side decor.
Tomasz N — Google review
Our drivers dropped us off on the other end of the Medina (Old Town) and we navigated through the street maze to get to this restaurant. I did my research before arriving to Rabat about where to get the best foods, and Dar Zaki did not disappoint. The service was unrushed and efficient, the foods were really good. I really enjoyed my Brania (Lamb Tagine with Eggplant Fritters), my wife liked her Vegetarian Pastilla, our friends finished their Chicken Tagine w Preserved Lemons & Olives, Chicken Couscous w Vegetables & Caramelized Onions. The menu does not offer alcohol (which is perfectly fine with us). The prices were reasonable. At the end, the chef-owner Isham walked our group back to the parking area where our drivers were waiting (thank you for your hospitality). If you visit Rabat and want to experience authentic Moroccan cuisine, ensure to reach out to Dar Zaki.
SL K — Google review
Great atmosphere and food. We had the lamb shank and the meatball tagines. Delicious!
Douglas L — Google review
The best meal we had in Rabat! We had the lamb tajine and vegetable couscous, we would definitely recommend them both. The flavours in the lamb dish was so complex and had a lot of depth in it, and the meat itself was so tender. The couscous was so fine and the accompanying sauce very buttery. The service was lovely and it was a very calm atmosphere to escape into away from the souks Definitely would be back again!

Seafood restaurant
Golden Fish is a seafood restaurant located in the Sofitel Hotel in Rabat, Morocco. The restaurant specializes in serving fresh fish and seafood with natural and sumptuous flavors. It offers a variety of dishes including fish soup, crab cake, calamari, and beef for meat lovers. The restaurant provides a relaxing dining experience with views of the pool and vibrant green gardens at the hotel.
I don’t know why there are mixed reviews for this restaurant. We had a lovely time! From the time we arrived, we were welcomed and attended to. The service was great! The food was very good- salmon and steak, plus dessert (chocolate cake and creme brulee). The wine was also good. We sat in the front by the pool which was peaceful and pretty. Highly recommend, especially if you are staying in the Sofitel!

I had a perfect experience in Golden fish The staff was so friendly, especially Safae et Salah Highly recommended.

BEST restaurant in all of Rabat!!! The food is DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFULLY prepared!!! Ask for Rafik who is the NICEST person you will ever meet and knows ALL about each dish. He ALWAYS advises us well and we have the most INCREDIBLE meal!! We have been here many times and EVERY time it is WONDERFUL!!!
Roberta G — Google review
Nice restaurant by the pool of the Sofitel. The surroundings are very nice and the furniture is very cosy. The food is nice and good. However they are a bit slow in service (20min to take order and 50 Min to get served that's too much for 4 people at lunch and the restaurant was 50% empty) Update : bien meilleur service ce soir de 2023. Rapide. Atmosphère sympathique et cosy. Personnel pro et nourriture très bonne.
Abdel-ileh C — Google review
The restaurant is located in the Sofitel Hotel backyard’s beautifully designed garden featuring delicious food and outstanding service! Zohra and Omar let alone other servers did an outstanding job to make us feel at home! Other staff from the host people to kitchen workers and janitors make the best team too. 🙏 Thank you! ألف شكر, C'était une charmante soirée et après midi, merci beaucoup!

The food was really great and we had amazing service from Salah, Safae and Oumaima. The fish and vegetables were very fresh and good wine selection as well!

"What's the one thing that can make any meal better? Steamed veggies, of course!" Kudos to the chef for the creativity. If you have a passion for food court-quality sides, this place is an absolute must-visit. It doesn’t matter what fancy culinary description was written on the menu. You will end up with a sad sauce-less protein paired with bland veggies.

Restaurant Cosmopolitan in Rabat's Agdal district offers a diverse and sophisticated menu that celebrates international flavors from Asia, Europe, and beyond. The chic eatery boasts sleek, modern design and a vibrant yet inviting atmosphere. With separate smoking and non-smoking sections, elegantly furnished rooms, and a charming courtyard for al fresco dining, the restaurant provides an enchanting dining experience.
It didn’t take long for this restaurant to become my favorite one in Rabat (in all of Morocco, actually… but I’m digressing). It serves French cuisine with an international, mostly Mediterranean, touch. The dishes are tasty, delicious, bursting with flavors and culinary savoir-faire. Make sure you try the snails and veal’s foot - it’s a masterpiece.
Alex N — Google review
The chocolate dessert was fantastic, and impressive. The atmosphere is nice and slightly sophisticated but, the fish was not fresh and had a smell to it. And, my salad and escargot were pretty good, so it is a solid 4 put of 5 and yet still quite far from being a 5.
Satyn B — Google review
Upscale dining spot in Rabat. Their cocktail options are limited, but their signatures are tasty and strong. Highly recommend! The seafood quality didn't feel the best. We didn't feel any stomach issues like I read in some other reviews, but just didn't feel like it was the best quality. The monkfish was a letdown, but the grilled duck skewers were pretty good. The desserts were decent, I'd rate them 3.5/5, the Rhum baba was a bit too sweet (and also very strong rum haha), the tarte tatin wasn't bad.
Neel J — Google review
Limited choice of dishes but excellent restaurant. Very nice served Irish coffee
Easy T — Google review
Very good food with nice presentation and a good ambiance. Waiters were nice, wait time a bit long but not too long. Not a place if you want to get in and out in an hour but a delicious place for a good dinner.
Rafi — Google review
My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant while in Rabat and we had the most magnificent late lunch. The staff was engaging and the food was absolutely delicious! What a gem!
Marian — Google review
I went on a Sunday night, which it was relatively empty. However, the experience was still peaceful and relaxing in itself. The restaurant is beautiful. It has an up and downstairs, a smoking and non smoking area. The food was tasty, I had the snow crab with avocado, salmon with cream cheese spread, and bread. Then apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I didn’t take any pictures of the food but the presentation was good and it tasted even better. They also have a wide selection of choices for drinks. (Alcohol included) Customers will have options. The service was good and spot on. My French is sub par and waiter tried to accommodate me by speaking English. The icing on the apple pie was the staff playing music in the restaurant to make it feel lively. I appreciated that. The prices are higher then other places in Rabat. But if you want a nice restaurant and atmosphere, it makes up in that. I will definitely be back in future but with others

Cafe
Café Maure, located in the Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat, is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The café offers stunning views of the Bou Regreg River and retains its original charm with sunny terraces that are perfect for enjoying spring and summer. Visitors can savor delicious mint tea served with traditional almond cakes known as ghriba. The open-air café overlooks the river and features mosaic tiles, creating a typical Moroccan ambiance.
Lovely terrace cafe situated in the heart of the Rabat casbah, stunning views of neighboring Sale and Mohamed VI Tower. Come for the quintessentially Moroccan mint tea (with no sugar preferred). Choose from your heart’s desire of Moroccan pastries served by old gentleman circulating with trays heaped in these delicacies.

Café Maure in Rabat offers an authentic Moroccan experience with a stunning view of the Bou Regreg river. The ambiance is serene, perfect for enjoying traditional mint tea and local pastries. The blend of historic charm and tranquil surroundings makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind in a culturally rich setting
Samir J — Google review
This is a beautiful cafe right outside of Bab Oudayas by the sea. The setting is outdoors with lots of seats to view the ocean. We came for snacks and were greeted with cookies and mint tea. Very nice after a long day of touring Rabat.
C N — Google review
One of my favorite spots—this café has the perfect view of Wadi Bou Regreg. The vibe is always calm and inspiring. I could sit there for hours just watching the water and sketching ideas
Ahmed Q — Google review
This is an obvious stop for many tourists in the Kasbah because of the view, which is worth it. The tea wasn’t very good as it tasted like it was sitting for too long and was thus too bitter, but we enjoyed our time here nonetheless. We wanted to use the bathroom, but it was very gross and the male attendants were waiting directly outside of the doors. We passed on using them. Finding a seat can be challenging. In the shade, even more challenging.
Taylor B — Google review
Enjoy the charming terrace boasting breathtaking views. While comfort might not be extravagant, it adds to its distinctiveness. Indulge in a selection of teas, coffees, and sodas paired with delightful homemade cookies. Despite its touristy ambiance and bustling crowds, the atmosphere remains impeccable, enhanced by the presence of sweet cats.
Charlotte — Google review
A hidden treasure! Lovely place to sip some tea and snack on delicious treats. Enjoy!
Romilly S — Google review
Nice little cafe serving tea, coffee and a few soft drinks. There is also someone selling baked goods. It was a pretty location but otherwise it wasn't overly special. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but a cute pit stop if you're already in the area.

Cafe
Café La Comédie is a popular spot in the downtown area, known for its pastry shop and outdoor balcony seating. The cafe offers reasonable prices and serves straight espresso, also known as cafe noir, in clear glass teacups with water and sugar packets on the side. On the second level, visitors can enjoy a variety of teas while relaxing in plush red chairs or at intimate two-person tables.
We thoroughly enjoyed this cafe which has good service is well located and very popular with locals. The funny thing about our visit was that the bees were everywhere and they really enjoyed eating the cake with my wife. These are harmless bees and I think are justjust part of the cafe. As you can see on the video, the bees were very determined to get their share of our cake.
Ross D — Google review
We were disappointed with the service, which was far below expectations. Our family of four was left waiting outside without a table. When I requested one, the staff told me they couldn’t arrange it for some reason, yet a new group who arrived later was immediately seated. I then approached a kind lady inside, who thankfully understood our situation and helped arrange a table. However, after being seated, we waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Despite asking two different staff members—both of whom said “okay”—nothing happened. It was only after approaching a third staff member that we finally received our drinks as ordered. This level of service is unacceptable and should be a wake-up call for management to take action, establish clear processes, and improve the overall customer experience. Rabat deserves to remain a great destination for tourism, and better service is key to that goal.
Aziz A — Google review
The service is very good, they don’t rush you even if it’s just for a Coffee. The Coffee is Very good and the pain au chocolat was very fresh.
Tati R — Google review
Café La Comédie in Rabat is a lovely spot with an amazing selection of drinks and pastries, and truly great coffee. The location right in front of a park adds a relaxing charm, perfect for enjoying your cup with a nice view. The service is consistently organized, friendly, and efficient, making every visit smooth and pleasant. A great place to unwind or catch up with friends—highly recommended!

Restaurant
Al Marsa is a delightful Spanish restaurant situated by the picturesque Bouregreg Marina, offering diners stunning views of iconic landmarks like Tour Hassan and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. This charming eatery specializes in fresh seafood, making it an ideal spot for those craving local flavors. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes such as grilled lobster, seafood pastilla, and Moroccan-style fish tagine.
I came here tonight as it’s my wife’s Birthday. The place is well located in the Marina with an amazing view of the harbour, and the decor is well suited for the experience. The food was outstanding, fresh, delicious and well presented. I will definitely come back for a visit with my wife and family.

Houda G — Google review
While visiting from abroad, decided to have dinner with family members on 23 October. Great place if and only if the service was a bit better. Frowning server with a very dry tone. Okay, forgrt about the server. Tried to order Seabass with Ratatouille ( Server: Non madam, it is only served with St Pierre). 1 star so far. Ended up ordering Seabass as is and St Pierre to get the ratatouille. Als, Paella Valencienne: Amazing taste and flavors, and that made me jump to 5 stars. We ended up getting 2 seabass with two different sidedishes. The waiter insisted it was a st pierre! Back to 1 star. All in all, invest in training your people. Don't like the service. Don't like lack of parking validation Don't like fish: felt it was not fresh or rather defrosted Love the outdoors Love the paella. Love the senior host (Fassi Accent, a bit mature) If you care about my opinion, I will see change when I come for my paella next time and salade araignée (was not available). Recommendation: make indoors non smoking 🚭. Sorry for any typos. All in the spirit of improvement.
Omar E — Google review
Very nice place to enjoy a good meal and specially a good, tasty fresh fish. The place is nice, the sitting in front of the marina is pleasant although you might need to book a table beforehand to enjoy the best view. The service is good, I gave it 3 stars only because you have to wait for a little while before getting an available waiter.ress and getting your order. .. the waitress was nice and friendly and gave us good recommendation regarding the main dish.. The food was delicious and fresh, up to expectations. They have two restaurant (Spanish and Italian card) so make sure to ask for both coz it's not automatic. The prices are a bit expensive...but worth the experience!
Bouchra G — Google review
No one speaks English, not even one word. Look at the price thought it is fine dining but the staffs know nothing about serving wine. I ordered one glass of house white wine, not let me try but just place a glass in front of me, taste very bad, alcohol only, returned. All food that I wanted to order was not available. The salad big like in McDonald's no taste no sauce full of cheap lettuce. The seafood is over cooked so very hard and no taste. The sauce is thick like clay. The service is horrible!! Not recommended !!! Very expensive for cheap service and food.
Kitto K — Google review
A very long day to get to Rabat, and we wanted to finish it off with a great seafood dish or two. We were NOT disappointed. The soup was fantastic, you could not beat the wine selections, and we had a very respectable meal! The service was fantastic as well.
Samuel T — Google review
We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was incredibly slow; we had to wait an unreasonably long time for our main course to arrive. When it finally did, the grilled fish was cold, which was completely unacceptable. It felt like the food had been sitting around for a while before being brought to our table. For a place known for its seafood, this was a huge letdown. Definitely not worth the wait or the price. We won’t be coming back.

The venue offers a casual and laid-back setting, making it an ideal choice for families or anyone looking to indulge in classic French bakery items. With beautifully decorated pastries and macarons, as well as delicious almond croissants, Paul exudes Parisian flair.
I've been going to Paul at least twice a week for months now! You can't beat their pastries, and the warm olive bread they serve for breakfast is just divine. Amazing lunches as well. 10/10 for Paul!

I ordered Cappuccino and a piece of cake from the counter. Even after reminding the waiter twice he never came with the cake, I went to order at the counter still never came. This was probably the worst Paul I have ever been in the world. No customer experience, literally no one cares here. Definitely will never visit here.
Vinay T — Google review
The environment is very good cafe, if you meet the comment section said tall male waiter immediately change seats, he really will not come to serve you, waiting for nearly half an hour to get coffee or not much customer time!

Awut A — Google review
Paul Café in Agdal, Rabat, offers a delightful culinary experience that brings a taste of French elegance to Morocco. The pastries are impeccably crafted, boasting flaky, buttery perfection that melts in your mouth. Their selection of sandwiches, paired with a refreshing salad, makes for a satisfying meal any time of the day. The gelato, with its rich and creamy texture, is an absolute must-try and provides a perfect sweet finish to your visit. However, while the food undoubtedly shines, the service leaves room for improvement. The staff, although efficient, can occasionally come across as hurried and less attentive, which detracts from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the prices, while reflective of the quality, might be considered steep by local standards. In conclusion, Paul Café at Agdal is a wonderful spot for anyone craving authentic French bakery delights, despite the occasional hiccup in service. It’s a place where gastronomic excellence meets a touch of French charm, well worth a visit for those special indulgences.

The coffee is brewed to perfection, and the pastries are a delicious blend of traditional Moroccan baking with a modern twist. Warm smiles, rich flavors, and divine culinary offerings make every visit a delightful experience. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts!

The patisserie and boulangerie makes endless number of both Moroccan and French desserts and bread. One can enjoy their specialties while one sips coffee or mint tea. It is stunning to see and to taste all the desserts baked here daily. Don't be alarmed to see bees hovering the desserts. It seems like a natural phenomenon in Morocco. Just eat, drink and relax.

The best patisserie I've tried in Rabat or Maroc. Beautifully designed and delicious sweet or savoury treats at affordable prices. The staff serve you with pride in their work and attentiveness to your needs. Highly recommended.

What a dissapointement. The food: we had seefood and chicken pastilla and some other salty stuff, all were horrible and tasted worse than the street vendor bastilla. The toilet : absolutely disgusting, female one not available, the whole place was hot and humide. Overall a horrible experience

the best patiserie in rabat! i went there very often to get coffee and breakfast, i tried as much as i could, everytime it was a delicious new surprise! all there is so tasty and each piece is better than the other! i would have loved to try all! from the cookies to the pie to the simple croissant and to the salty ones, i recommend all ! the service was depending on the staff, i had both good and not good experience and aswell very wonderful and kind experience from an young woman! she was a real sweetheart!

This place is where I get all my pastries and cakes. Early in the morning they have nice fresh pastries and cakes and at around lunch time they offer a range of quick bites like pizza slices, mini quiches, mini sandwiches. The sandwiches do have a LOT of mayonnaise in them so not the healthiest of options. They have a section for traditional Moroccan almond cakes, and it's practical if you're traveling abroad and want to take with you a selection of those as gifts to friends and family.

A fantastic Cozy Cafe! Super friendly welcome! In our case with 12 people, tables were put together from all corners and we were served by Hanane with her open face and wonderful smile. Friendly, relaxed and clearly knows how to give her customers a wonderful evening. The food is fresh, good tasting and colorful. Highly recommended! Thank you Hanane for a wonderful evening!

A wonderful southern European style cafe located in the heart of the beautiful city of Rabat. A great selection of delicious foods including sweets and savoury dishes. Sit outside and enjoy the view of the square as you enjoy your selection of juices, coffee or tea. Dine during the day or evening and take in the scenery of families playing on the square as darkness descends over the city. The cafe is a must to visit as part of your visit to the wonderful city.

Beautiful aura and good food, had their British style breakfast loved the latte, fruit salad, orange juice and cheese selection but the omelet was a bit dry plus I didn't like the ham. At the end I tried their lemon tart with a meringue on top.. it was heavenly. This place became my go to a couple years ago I went there by chance and now I go there by choice, so far I've tried their signature dish half pizza half salad, bolognese pasta, various desserts and drinks and I have no complaints, the food is delicious and the vibes are right all the time!

• Food : One of the best croissant I have ever had so far, so tasty with a nice buttery after taste. I only tried the croque fiston, a very generous dish and very tasty for salt seekers. "Grilled bread, avocado eggs, nice sauce and what I believe is golden onions with a side salad very refreshing" Both the expresso and the allongé coffees are great Excited to try the cakes and pastries • Service : Very quick and very clean i have to mention that it was not the weekend but a Tuesday morning (Not so busy) Waiters can recommend things on the menu • Space : Very British and warm indoors, the design is attractive chairs are comfortable. With a big counter with all the goodies to choose from, eye-pleasing and organized Located in a very calm neighborhood They also have an outdoor space. The tables are little small but can perfectly fit 2 people Clean but small bathrooms • Price : Price is definitely justified but the quality of the food and service I'll definitely comeback to discover more. Highly recommended

I love this cafe for their gluten-free pastries, they are hands down the best in town. I also ordered birthday cakes from here and turned out amazing. Coffee is good too but they don't have decaf coffee unfortunately. The interior kept its 80s Rabat vibes which is very nice given that many vintage places in Rabat ville are updated and standardized. I’ve been going to that ice cream place for a loong time and it’s not even in my neighborhood The ice cream is perfect, you have a large choice of flavors plus you can have big bowls to take home with you! All for a really good price that you won’t find anywhere else in rabat! This place deserves more attention! Even though it’s fairly popular with the people of the neighborhood... Oh and one last thing, the lady that’s works there is super nice!!

(Translated by Google) NICE Creem Don't miss the delicious ice cream from Aunt Khadija's hand. I recommend it. Since 1999: On Al Majd Street in the Fath district in the City of Anwar: Rabat, the beloved capital of Morocco. Near Al Salam Al Fath Markets. It is one of the best stores that offer ice cream in the capital, Rabat, in quality, price, and treatment by Khadija’s aunt. Excellent location on a wide two-way street. Parking is available, but the Wi-Fi is now disabled. It offers a large variety of different types and colors of ice cream, whether fruit sorbet, yogurt, or special for infants. An ice cream ball is only 7 dirhams, one of the lowest prices in the capital, Rabat. Half a liter costs 36 dirhams, while a liter costs 70 dirhams. You choose the number and types of ice cream balls you or your child want, and in any container, a paper cup, cookie horn, or glass bowl. It offers sweet waffles and crepes as well as milkshakes. Some children come weekly in the summer and winter, as the service is very good and fast, and Khadija is nice and polite. There is a quiet place and a good place to sit in the mezzanine.
