Antico Forno Santa Caterina dal 1391 is a must-visit in Altamura, known for its rich history and delicious baked goods. This ancient bakery has been serving up delightful treats for centuries, with a legacy that's evident in every bite. Visitors can witness the baking process firsthand as they enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts an array of delectable focaccias and sweet treats, all made with love by the proud family behind this iconic establishment.
Lovely “forno” (bakery/oven) that has been operating since 1306. We stopped by here to get dinner on our car trip to Bari, and we were looking for an authentic place to eat “foccacia barese”, this place appeared on maps and I immediately remembered it was the famous nonnas on tiktok 🤍 They have a seating area right in front of the shop. According to the sign in the entrance, this was an oven serving to the community in the 14th century. When you get you focaccia they heat it in the antique oven. You can get some drinks and sit in the area in front. Lovely atmosphere. The owners are super lovely and cheerful. They also sell tortellini and orecchiette if you are looking for treats to buy.
Bilge K — Google review
You can smell the place from 50 meters. The focaccias are simly delicious. They sell it by weight, so you can choose small pieces of everything to try more flavours. The ladies behind the counter speak very good English

We were very satisfied – a traditional restaurant offering a four-course menu including wine and non-alcoholic drinks for €35 per person.
Marian — Google review
The foccacia was so delicious, the toppings were of top quality and taste. The break was light with a wonderful chew. One of the workers was so friendly and toppped off one of our foccacias with extra bechamel too. you pay by weight here but the prices are so reasonable. Definitely worth a visit or even going out of your way to try like we did!
Phi T — Google review
Such an amazing and unique experience. Everyone involved deserves five stars. We had the four hour bread experience, which includes trip to cheese shop with buratta making demonstration and tasting , time spent at bakery learning to make pasta, focaccia, and pane de Altamura. and a multiple course meal with wine, enjoying the fruits of your labor plus extra courses and amazing dessert. Also, you get to take home products that you made +++ If you’re just going to buy bread or enjoy a meal here, that is amazing but if you have time to commit to the four hour experience, it is unique, so satisfying and was much better than I ever could have imagined. It was also an amazing social experience meeting other travelers and spending time with people who work and live here. I will tell all my friends to come here and I will definitely come back to dine when I return to Puglia !!!
KL R — Google review
Nothing more exciting than a focaccia breakfast at Santa Caterina bakery in Altamura ( Puglia Italy). A great and happy place where the world is gathering to stimulate the senses.
Francesco C — Google review
This place has a very nice vibe and is definitely worth visiting. As noted at the entrance, it’s an old bakery that still bakes in the traditional way, so it’s highly recommended to try something fresh while you’re there and see the process. Their sweets are also delicious and worth a taste.
Mr. F — Google review
Although it might get it's fame from TikTok and Instagram, it is worth your while to stop by when in Altamura. Great foccacia's and bread and the possibility to have a drink and see the famous Nonna's!

Natale Pasticceria, established in 1999 near the central Piazza Sant'Oronzo, has become a historic brand constantly evolving. With around fifty flavors including creams, fruit gelatos, sorbets, and granitas, it's a must-visit spot. Their chocolate offerings are diverse with options like rum, chili pepper, and more. Additionally, they offer regional specialties such as Pasticciotto flavor and Maria d'Enghien gelato.
One of the best gelatos that I've ever had! Staff are so nice and would help you if you ask for the suggestions. The Ficchi was my favorite!
Ali R — Google review
All I can say is wow! Don't walk, run to Natale and try their pistachio ice cream. It's incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor! The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of seating options available. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a sweet treat, whether it's day or night. Their other flavors are amazing as well!
Luana P — Google review
We got here by pure chance after eating at least one pasticciotto every day during our trip. I can confidently say this was the best one I had. It was the perfect mix of creamy and crumbly. not overly sweet and overall incredibly satisfying. It was so good we even went out of our way to go back and purchase one of the overly priced T-shirts… no regrets! The only downside is its price, at €2.20 a piece it definitely was on the expensive side in comparison to others in the region but so worth it.
Nicolas A — Google review
Had the “african coffee” and a brioche, which comes with 3 flavors. It was very good both of them. The service was very nice.
Niclas M — Google review
The best gelato I had so far in Italy. And huge portions. The service was also very sweet and helpful.
Przemysław B — Google review
Absolutely great ice cream! A lot of special kinds to get here with support from the friendly staff. For 3€ you get the “small ice cream”, which are two big scoops. The pastries look good as well, but we have not eaten any.
Johannes R — Google review
Stick to their pistachio flavor and you will not disappoint. It is rich and creamy, not too sweet. As someone who travel a lot and tried many gelatos in different places, I can say their pistachio flavor is among the best I have tried. The berry flavor however, is a bit too sweet and I don't recommend. Their waiting line is a bit disorganized - you need to get a ticket first before you can ask for any flavors, which is not obvious for the new customers. If you don't have a ticket then you get kicked to the end of the waiting line, and waste a lot of time.
Skywalker F — Google review
A wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors – I loved it a lot! The pasticciotto is the best in Puglia – it's truly something special and a must-try! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The owners of Martinucci Laboratory are able to update their profile details, add pictures, respond to reviews, and more. They can claim their business and enjoy a free profile. The cake shop is highly recommended and known for its delicious pasticciotro, which comes in various flavors such as ricotta and pistachio or crema, ricotta, and chocolate chips. The gelato at Martinucci Laboratory is also highly praised, particularly the coffee flavor.
The best ice cream and the most delicious pastries I’ve ever tasted in Bari! Martinucci is not just a simple pastry shop — it’s a true experience. Authentic flavors, perfect textures, and a Mediterranean vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation every time. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in top-quality desserts in an elegant and welcoming location!

It’s a good pastry & bakery in old Bari. I tried gelato and it was delicious. They have other Italian pastry and bakery including deserts and gelato. Centrally located and easy to find the venue in the old town. Open till late hours. Recommended!
Pelin K — Google review
The first time I visited this chain I LOVED it - it offered the best ice cream and sandwiches which I’d had. But this time when I returned I had a horrible experience - I checked the menu out on the app and showed the waiter the specific sandwich which I wanted. He delivered the food and immediately requested payment. I then took a bite of the sandwich and quickly realised it wasn’t what I ordered, so I asked the waiter and he said ‘we didn’t have what you wanted so I gave you something else’ and that was it. This is awful customer service - you can’t just give the customer something else if it’s not what they asked for, and then charge the customer full price for the item they didn’t even want. To add on top of this, the toilet door doesn’t lock and there’s no toilet roll.
Lisa S — Google review
Pasticiotto was great! We tried lemon one and pistacchio one. Though there are no prices on the counter, you should ask for them. The whole thing is too sweet sometimes, if you’re not a sweet tooth - take one to share!
Софья К — Google review
fantastic vegan sweets! the pasticciotto with pistachio was excellent! i also tried a croissant with vegan cream filling (which was very pudding-like). both tasted great, very much on the sweet side! i think one would have been enough for me haha. service was very helpful!

Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff and Poor Service Martinucci Laboratory in Bari was a letdown, mainly due to the rude and unhelpful staff. No one explains how the ordering system works, and I was abruptly told to go to the counter and get a ticket without any guidance. After ordering a New York cheesecake, I had to go to the other end of the place and wait for someone to eventually hand it to me—all while my coffee got cold. The cake itself was nothing like a real New York cheesecake. Not worth the frustration. 👎🥶🍰
Marius S — Google review
The atmosphere is a bit chaotic. When we first went, we didn't know where to order from, we tried to ask but we were ignored. I figured it was because they were busy. So we tried again, this time for cocktails and once again ignored even though we waited patiently in line. Rollercoaster Ride is about to start: Finally, we went yesterday morning, when we found the register to order from (it's behind a pole on the side of the bar) the cashier seemed annoyed that we were there. There was a lady in front of us, she- the cashier, purposely ignored the customer for at least 10 minutes. When we finally got to the front of the line we too were forced to wait and was ignored by the same cashier. (She wasn't working, and I am not sure what the issue was. I don't think 🤔 this is a cultural thing because literally everyone else has been kind, helpful, accommodating and amazing) We tired to order, but the cashier informed us we would need get a table, if wanted to eat there, (the only tables available were outside in the cold), and she also informed us that someone would take our food order. No one did, therefore we decided to order breakfast to-go. Then a table inside opened up, so we grabbed it. All of a sudden the waiter started yelling at the lady next to us about there being a service fee to sit at the table. She seemed fine with the service fee, but the waiter kept yelling at her, she stood her ground and he finally let her be. She was there before us and her husband was trying to find a place to order the food. It was uncomfortable to say the least. The waiter pushed our table away from her and took our order. He was kind to us and helpful, but I felt really awkward about the situation. The place stays very busy. We visited three times to give them the benefit of the doubt. However each time we were ignored or treated poorly. The food and drinks were OK, we have had better at other cafes. If this place wasn't so highly recommended we wouldn't have gone back. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I just want future guests be aware.

Pastry shop
Pasticceria Andrea Ascalone, located in Galatina near Lecce, is a historic pastry shop that has been operating for over 280 years. Legend has it that the famous pasticciotto pastry was invented by Andrea Ascalone, a pastry chef from Galatina in the mid-18th century. The shop's interior exudes old-world charm with its checkered flooring, chandeliers, and displays of various pastries.
Art can be conceived in many ways ... This is the real Art of the south. The one and only. When the past meets the present. Only Ascalone's can be called real Pasticciotti. The rest Is noise!

Originator and still best pasticciotto in the land. Why do I like this place? They make their pasticciotto in only the traditional way, cream filling, no coffee just pastries, and family run for ten generations (since 1745).

Bakery
Antico Forno Santa Chiara is a centuries-old bakery located in the center of Altamura, offering a quiet and authentic experience. This hidden gem has been passed down through generations and is known for its typical Altamura bread, as well as delicious focaccia, calzone, carpaccio, and bruschetta. The bakery's historic oven continues to produce fabulous Puglian breads that visitors find unforgettable.
Walked to this bakery from the train station in Altamura before changing trains to Matera. We bought two slices of Focaccia, €5 total. Ate on the train on the way to Matera. This focaccia is the ultimate, the best I have had anywhere! I dream about this focaccia. Now I am ready to return to Altamura for this focaccia and the bread from Gesu Bakery. 20 minute walk at most from the train station. This focaccia alone is the reason to skip the next train and wander into all the bakeries of Altamura!!
Allemap S — Google review
I stopped by here after a recommendation, and was impressed by the focaccia. It was the best I’ve ever tasted, fresh and hot out of the oven. The perfect crunch too and not too oily. I got the one with potatoes and tomatoes on top and I wished I had gotten even more! The baker was friendly as well.
Chloe S — Google review
What an amazing place in a city renown for bread. If you have ever watched Pasta Grammar on YouTube, you will see that Eva thinks this is the best bread in Italy. We brought some back to our Italian neighbors in our town and they were 'in heaven'. We also bought the focaccia and absolutely loved it! Don't miss this spot. It needs to be high on the list of top fornos in Altamura.
Brad H — Google review
The 4 stars are for the exceptional quality of the focacce, bruschette, stracciatella and bread. But I cannot give it 5 stars because we paid €59 euros in 2 people!!! That’s absolutely too much for some uncooked food!!!!! Still, it was delicious.
G T — Google review
A. Service charge + B. basket of bread (charged as well - we didnt ask for bread) So get ready for extra cash for nothing. We feel a bit confused about A. service charge (where in many restaurants bread and olive oil is part of this) and B. basket of bread. We got charged for both here. Food is good!!
George N — Google review
Overpriced, tourist trap. The focaccia is so greasy, the staff didn’t give us any napkins. A whole cold oily focaccia for 7€. We found out later from a local that the price is much higher than average. It’s just an expensive bakery. Edit: Btw, be very careful of the focaccias with olives on it, there are SEEDS - save yourself from a trip to the dentist office!
Sain D — Google review
Very tasty focaccia barese with breadcrumbs on the top. Take away food.
Dan Š — Google review
Hidden place in the center of Altamura. Authentic place. They make the typical Altamura bread. We had calzone and caprese. They were tasty. It's not very cheap but what can I say, we are in the center center. We tried to pay by three different cards and they all failed. We needed to get cash in the atm.

Not just a pasticceria, but also serves non sweet meals. The service was wonderful, especially when we spoke little Italian. We were offered a ‘meal deal’ of sorts. We got to choose 4 different local dishes (to fill a plate) for 10 euro. Absolute bargain! The food was super fresh and super tasty. We were told they were local dishes. It was by far the best food we ate in Bari - truly amazing!
Matthew D — Google review
Had a wonderful stop at this cafe in Bari. The focaccia sandwich was fresh and full of flavor, perfectly paired with a smooth, well-made cappuccino. The pistachio pastry was outstanding - light, flaky, and rich with real pistachio taste. Warm service and a relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect break in the middle of the day.

I had a delicious ice-cream and a ginseng orzo coffee, it was great, the place is charming with lounge music. It would deserve 5* but I put 3* because they charge 1€ additional for "coperto", and for this in a bar,. It's simply outrageous.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Pasticceria Luca Capilungo is a must-visit for pastry lovers. Known for its unique take on pasticciotti, this charming bakery offers a delightful twist with a secret custard recipe that owner Luca refuses to disclose. The pastries are baked to perfection, achieving an irresistible golden crust that balances crunchy and crumbly textures. What sets them apart is their distinct baking method, which introduces subtle bitter notes alongside sweetness.
Came 20 minutes before they closed and they were busy with lots of customers. I wish slightly that I had come earlier when the pasticciotto was fresh. The crust was thicker than I preferred but the filling was great.

Amazing Pasticciotto and Burgundy under one roof? Really something special. Luca and his team serve the finest pastries and great coffee in a friendly and efficient manner. Surprisingly, there are also coolers of high-end wines and bubbles that you might check out. I scored two bottles of White Burg to change things up. But maybe get a Gaja and pair it with a great aged steak from across the street!

Yuki Cucina Giapponese is a unique culinary experience that offers authentic Italian dishes from 17th-century family recipes. The cookery school provides one-day classes where participants can learn to cook Italian cakes and pasta dishes after buying fresh ingredients from local farmers at the market. The restaurant also offers an upscale dining experience with impressive sushi and sashimi, accompanied by attentive and friendly service.
Yuki is a MUST experience for the upscale culinary lovers. You can feel it right for the moment you enter the restaurant. An amazing night out with my husband; we are big sushi lovers and I am not exaggerating when I say we have been to hundreds of sushi restaurants, especially in the United States. Really, none was as impressive and surprising as this place. Food was fantastic, people are so friendly and attentive. Honestly, I don’t think we could say anything bad about Yuki. Simply perfect. Best tofu appetizer I have ever tasted ; sashimi and nigiri selections are exquisite! Everything a restaurant should be from top down. From the ambiance, service, drinks, food and even interior design. You will not be disappointed here. You will get the best and in return they deserve to be the best. Thank you!

We arrived at 22:30 and wanted a table for a quick snack. There were space by the bar. We were sent away as there is no possibility for them to accommodate us. When asked for take away they told that the waiting time was one hour and we were being laughed at. Very bad service. We specially drove here to have literally 2 sets of sushi.

Yuki is as expensive as a New York sushi restaurant, the service is slow and staff gives you a very micromanaged feeling, for example: they pour little soy sauce and take the bottle away. You get charged €5 coperto per person - service fee, but you get nothing for that, not even tap water. The wine selection by the glass is very limited, after all, this is Italy.

(Translated by Google) A very wide choice of products... fresh and non-fresh pasta... as well as cafeteria service. Just one note: at the time of payment, the cashier in charge at that moment didn't even look at us in the face, neither greeting us at the beginning nor at the end, and continued to talk to another person. And this turns the p**** around quite a bit. But what they sell is amazing and the staff at the counter are very polite.

Andy Havlík - Chef Pâtissier is a newly opened venue managed by the young pastry chef Andy Havlik, who brings his training experience from England, France, and Ireland to this modern establishment. The pastries offered here are a fusion of French and local styles, using excellent locally sourced ingredients.
Incredibly tasty pastries and very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Nice place with good pastries overall. We had two pastries, a coffee, and a blueberry juice for €10. Maybe a bit too expensive.
Laura S — Google review
Fresh, well-made pastries which look beautiful, but the flavour falls a little flat and overly sweet for my taste. Sold out of croissants and other danishes when I arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday so if you'd like those best to arrive early! Friendly staff. Clean washroom. Good atmosphere.

Unfortunately I had two bad experiences. The first time they didn't say anything about the closing time at 8.30pm and they let us order a aperitivo at 8pm asking us - with very bad manners - to leave the place saying it was 8.32pm. We paid leaving all the food untouched on the table. Two days after I've been there to have a breakfast and the snob and impolite guy at the till told us that he wouldn't have accepted the paper money because of a missing micro tiny little corner that I didn't notice at all. Again, very bad manners asking us to bring the money back to the pharmacy where we got it and declaring aloud in front of other customers that probably it was fake. Bad and bougie attitude, he did put on airs with no reasons. They should learn how to treat clients. Very impolite staff. I will ask my friends to bring me in other coffee shops everytime I'll be in Bari. Never again.
Katia C — Google review
Good concept. But 1€ per person to sit on table!? doesn't make it convenient for a quick cofee or breakfast. Sorry but I won't visit anymore till this change. We are in Italy, also in Bari and not in the center, wrong marketing. No need the answer about the water.. we don't need it.
Enrico — Google review
The fish market was a disappointing experience. It had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it hard to enjoy browsing. The overall atmosphere felt more like a marketing trap than a genuine market, with high prices and low-quality products. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for fresh seafood.

I passed 'spaccia grani' Bakery in Conversano and I was truly amazed by the vastness of choices: from pizza, to various types of types of bread (with buckwheat, with cereals.. strictly with sourdough) Typical Apulian taralli and friselle .. a variety for all tastes and palates. It is worth making a stop if you are visiting Conversano because you could really do the tour of Italy And of Europe in a few square metres (because he is specialized In different types of bread: French, Florentine..etc ..). If you are a gourmet cuisine lover, I recommend trying to believe. Highly recommended and worth rewarding for a very young entrepreneur who believes in the potential of his territory.

(Translated by Google) I admit, I am a regular customer and mine is a review considered over time. My advice for all people who go to Spacciagrani for the first time is: eat something hot there, especially the focaccias, panzerotti, frittini, but also the whole part of the viennoiserie, because it has a completely different flavour. Smell all the fragrance and all the work that goes into choosing the products (local and of the highest quality). In first place is the bread, Francesco's large format, without a shadow of a doubt it is one of the best in Puglia. Seeing is believing (my favorite is the one with ancient seeds). Another tip: every Saturday there is a special menu, they usually publish it on social media a few days before, they are truly unmissable!

Got two shakerati, which tasted very good. However, the staff gave us a bill with increased prices since my bf (who ordered dont speak Italian). Luckily I do, so they changed it to the right prices after I told them it was wrong. Also, the staff seems very snobby. The female waiter angrily told me to remove my feet from a flower fence and rolled her eyes at us. Feel like it was unnecessary and could just have asked us nicely. Would not recommend - there are much nicer places with nicer personel if you are a turist.

(Translated by Google) Terrible experience, I'm giving it one star, but if I could, I'd choose zero. The pastry was poor (I tried the cream puffs on site, and they were hard, like the industrial ones from supermarkets or the ones a few days old, with solidified cream and no flavor). Even worse than the product was the service at the pastry counter: a young woman who immediately became extremely rude, arrogant, and condescending, bordering on rude. We didn't like the coffee either, but at least the bartender is a nice person, the only positive note in a miserable time spent at this place, where we will definitely never return. We'd noticed it in passing and went there with the intention of stopping for a break, but we ran away in disgust, fortunately staying somewhere else afterward, which was decidedly more pleasant in terms of quality and courtesy.

(Translated by Google) Unacceptable experience. I had provided a photo for reference and, knowing the small size of the bento cake (10 cm), I had accepted a shorter caption. When I picked it up, the cake was delivered unopened, with no possibility of verification—already questionable for a pastry shop. Trusting the reviews, I paid and left. Once I opened it at home, I found an embarrassing decoration, made with zero care, completely unsuitable for a gift. I had to intervene personally to fix it at the last minute. The rude attitude of the staff, rolling their eyes when I asked for a bag (it was raining outside), was also serious. I will never return and I hope action is taken. I've attached a photo. (Original) Esperienza inaccettabile. Hard to imagine how anyone could give this place less than a 5 star review… I suppose during the summer season it’s probably packed, so maybe the service is slower. I did find it a bit confusing on how to order, but once I asked someone, they were very helpful and cordial. The amazing offerings of pizza, focaccia bread, endless sweet treats and excellent coffee left me with a memorable experience. The beautiful and tasteful decor and artwork, as well as the artistic lighting added to the enjoyment. Plenty of outdoor seating, as well as two areas of seating on the second level on both sides. If you are going there for breakfast at the table be armed with patience as it takes forever to make an order. We decided to take it at the bar therefore. There, service was fast as typical Italian. It's known for its delectable pastries, cakes, biscuits, and ice cream. The Pasticciotti is particularly recommended by visitors. While some find the prices slightly higher than other establishments in the area, many appreciate the extensive array of bite-size foods offered during aperitivo hours at reasonable prices.
Gluten free and lactose free Pasticciotti were so good, I was so happy to be able to try it on this trip. They also have soya milk available for coffees etc. Staff seem to know their stuff, was a great little breakfast!

Dropped by Dolci Tramonti for a late dessert and were seriously impressed. Huge selection of pastries and gelato — we went for the tiramisu, zeppola, and an affogato with lemon ice cream and limoncello. All were spot on. Service was friendly and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe. We sat outside — great atmosphere and a perfect end to the evening. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Great place to refresh and have a nice cup of cappuccino with tasteful chocolate mousse, I really recommend the gelato 🍧 over here. Great service, friendly and most importantly quality and taste.

Located on the sea front promenade The food is reasonably priced and you get great service. They mussels are a great deal. And you get complimentary three lemon cello as a tasting.

Very nice ice cream. The Dubai chocolate is highly recommendable. They had lots of other interesting sweets, too, but we didn’t try those.
Gitte L — Google review
We was here for breakfast. Prices are fair, staff is really nice, coffee was good. We took pasticciotto and two other sweet pastries - everything was delicious. I recommend to anything sweet here.

Best croissants outside of Paris, probably. Quirky, fun, with great stuffing. The pistachio especially is good. Highly recommended if you're around!

We stopped by chance at this place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the desserts! Highly recommended the Sicilian cassata, which was very good because it was not too sweet as well as the coffee cream!

Amazing vibe, incredibly crafted cocktails to order and tasty ice cream! That’s only from the things I’ve tried, and there’s so much more on offer! Definitely worth a detour for a visit!

This is the hot spot in town! Awesome cafe, gelateria, and bar! (In the American sense). Seriously, their cocktails are on point. Try the Spritz Pizzicato pictured here. 🤤

Amazing bar pasticceria! We ordered 3 flavours Pasticciotto and Cioccolata calda. Amazing food! The deserts was delicious! The cocoa was amazing!

Asked for fresh orange juice, got half of the cup. Crowded, noisy and no place to eat your passticery. Too much sugar in pasticery.Unpelasant staff but this is common in Italy.

Wow. Amazing cakes. Was still Warm pastry filled with ricotta and pistachio cream. Good choice of sweet and savory pastries. Lovely cappuccino to go with your cake. Not too expensive. Cappuccino and a cake 3.80!

In September, we visited this pastry chain on a recommendation from my Italian friend. We tried the pasticciotto (cream tradizionale), and though we don’t have a big sweet tooth, it was delicious. Definitely worth trying at least once!
Sabrina P — Google review
OMG I dont even know where to start. The puccia with mozarella, dried tomatoes and wallnut was very very good. Pistachio pasticcioni was so amazing, it was fully filled with pistachio cream and very crunchy, simpy astonishing. Gelato is very cheap, very big and delicious. And the cherry on top is the nicest service imaginable, must visit place!!
Arek M — Google review
We tried their gelato- pistachio & puccia vegetarian. Both were absolutely delicious. Staff was trying their best to explain us though they didn’t know English- so they were accommodative and were very welcoming. All of their food preparations indeed looked amazing. No place to sit & eat though.

Very nice costumer service with a pleasant natural smile. We just ate the best Pizza🍕 in Italy 🇮🇹 , followed by a sweet creamy and very light for the belly Pasticciotto We had a very comfortable time We ordered 2 additional Terra Terras😍

Bar FOD di Pinto Francesco is an outstanding gelateria and bar located in the main piazza of Cisternino. They offer a wide variety of delicious treats, including vegan ice creams, amazing cakes, and patisseries. The prices are very reasonable and they even have frozen animal shaped ice 'lollies' for kids who may not be into traditional gelato.
Fabulous place and very good experience. We loved the atmosphere and vibe here although we just had breakfast. Good service and pasticciotto is amazing. We definitely will return.

We weren’t planning on getting any gelato whilst in Cisternino but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this place offered many vegan flavours! My mum got gelato made with regular milk (pistachio - she said it was very good! not sickly sweet) and I got the vegan nocciola (hazelnut w/ caramelised figs), almond w/ salted biscuits, and pineapple-coconut - all were delicious! I recommend the vegan flavours even if you’re not vegan (there was no flavour of alternative milks) :)
Nicole P — Google review
Utterly Amazing. Great thanks to the waiter for his excellent service and professionalism dealing with our group of 26 who suddenly arrived. OK,. Next time I'll be calling in advance to warn you. Amazing cakes and vegan ice cream !
Chris J — Google review
Excellent service from Enrico, even though the place was crowded out with tourists all clamouring to be served first. The gelato flavours are imaginative, and I ordered almond with apricots cooked in Moscato wine, along with goats milk ricotta. Enrico even came back out to let know that the goat milk ricotta flavour had capers in it, just in case I wanted to change my mind. I'm glad I didn't
Anthony G — Google review
Delicious gelato. 2 flavours for €3.
Cindy B — Google review
This review is for the gelato and granita. The gelato was just ok, nothing amazing for an Italian customer, but what pissed me off the most was the Almond Granita which tasted just like ice, for 4€ I would suggest to go and get a spritz instead.

Best bar in Cisternino, in the main piazza. Good for coffee, drinks, homemade gelato - and people spotting! Nice and caring service!
Caroline A — Google review
Outstanding Gelateria (incl. Vegan ice creams). Amazing cakes and patisseries (incl. Vegan, again), and frankly very reasonably priced still too! Look in the freezers if the little ones aren't in to traditional gelato, as they have frozen animal shaped ice 'lollies' (it's anything but the frozen E numbers you find in a typical UK freezer section!). Kids loved it!

Salvatore's shop deserves top rating and you'll do yourself a favor trying his Almond Syrup, ice cream, truffles and Salentino Coffee (to name a few of the stuff we've tried).
