Scaturchio is a historic pasticceria in Naples, dating back to 1905 and known as the city's oldest. It is famous for its traditional Neapolitan pastries, including the iconic pastiera, a sweet semolina tart filled with orange blossom flavored ricotta made from a century-old recipe. The Ministeriale is another must-try specialty—a dark chocolate disk with creamy liqueur, ricotta, and hazelnut filling that was created in 1919.
Shockingly good! You can tell the dough is well & long fermented, rose properly. Everything I had was so good, I did go there in the morning around 8 am. But the quality of bread & pastries are top!! The donuts was one of the best I ever had. And I did eat tons of donuts in my life. It is all fermentation ❤️

⭐ Pasticceria Giovanni Scaturchio – The true taste of Naples! ⭐ This historic pastry shop is an authentic gem for anyone who loves Neapolitan tradition. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by the aroma of fresh pastry and sweet cream. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. We tried the famous sfogliatella and the iconic baba al rum — both were simply delicious, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The place has a nostalgic charm that takes you back in time to the old Naples. Definitely worth a stop, whether you grab a pastry to go or sit down for a coffee while watching the lively rhythm of the city. A must-visit for anyone who wants to taste real Neapolitan sweetness! ☕🍮🇮🇹
Marina S — Google review
In a previous post, I mentioned that I let my son have gelato 🍨 without me in Napoli 🇮🇹. Of course there was a good reason for that. I was planning on having baba at Scaturchio! As you probably know, there is alcohol in baba, so my son couldn't have any. Baba is a Napoletan specialty. Well, it's also a French 🇫🇷 specialty and a Polish 🇵🇱 specialty. 😅 I read a lot about baba and its origin, and the most common theory is that it's a babka to which Stohrer (a pastry chef in Paris) added rhum to make it less dry for the French king. This was then brought to Napoli by the French and this is where it became popular. Of course I was not there at the time and everybody has a different version of this story. So don't get mad at me if yours differs, that's just the one that makes the most sense in MY opinion. 😇 I like baba a lot for 2 reasons: 1) I don't eat it often 2) it was one of my grand-mother's 🥰 favorites. That said, I think it's very hard to achieve a good baba. You need to find a good balance between sweet and alcohol in the syrup and you need to make sure the dough is moist enough so the syrup travels properly through it, but not too much so it doesn't fall apart. I think this one was close to perfect, if not perfect. 👍 The tart my wife had was not good, though, unfortunately. 👎 Plus it came broken and it was crazy expensive (€6 as opposed to €3.5 for the baba 😳). The total price was quite high, €15 for 2 coffees and 2 pastries, but we sat at a terrace in the middle of the tourist area so that was to be expected. 🤷 The service was kind of slow but correct. Now I need to go back there to try all the other types of baba cause that was just the classic one and they have lots of fancy ones! 😋 Quality & taste: 7/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 7/10 Service: 7/10 How I felt afterwards: 7/10

We took few different cakes and all tasted very nicely, they were not too sweet, coffee was very good as well. Definitely nice place with climate. Re different cakes it was all explained on the piece of paper with pictures so there was no confusion when ordering them.
Feliz P — Google review
Went twice, got the sfogialata frolla and cannoli the first time and the sfogialata riccia the second time. I recomment the sfogialata riccia, very crunchy on the outside, warm, soft and creamy on the inside. The cannoli shell was too thick, not recommended. I really wanted to try their neapolitan pasteria but they dont sell it by slice and since i was alone, it didnt make sense to buy an entire pie. Price to quality is amazing, must have it for breakfast when in naples, like a true Italian
Fatima F — Google review
It's good, but the prices are too high, let alone for Southern Italy. It felt like a tourist trap to be honest, since there are much better places where you can spend literally less than half. The pastiera was good (but 6 EUR for a slice seems WAY too much), and the frittatina di pasta too (4 EUR). The thing is that none of them blew my mind, they were good but quite standard. There are much better places in more hidden streets such as Pasticceria Pascal. I would recommend it if you're visiting Napoli for the first time, since you must have a breakfast at Scartuchio... But probably wouldn't come here if you're looking for an authentic place where local people go.
Martín S — Google review
Tried to find a place to grab some sweets for us to save for breakfast the next day for an early flight. This was one of the only ones open with options left in the case. We grabbed the caprese cake and the lemon option as well, Sfogliatella, and frolla…. The cakes were to die for!!! So moist even the next day. Definitely recommend stopping in here for your sweet tooth! They even wrapped everything up to-go very nicely
Alsi — Google review
Napoli one of the oldest and best reputed pastry shop since 1905. We have two sfogliatela and two napolitana. They are massive big so one and one to share are enough. Delicate pasta outside and inside is fill with a creamy texture similar to crema pastelera. Really nice both. If you need a punch of energy it’s a great options. The accept credit card as some of the smaller shop don’t. The picture is not completely accurate as i remember token when we eat most of the pastries.

Pasticceria Capparelli is a renowned bakery located in the heart of Naples, along Spaccanapoli. It offers a fine selection of traditional pastries such as parigine, zeppole, ventagli, and their iconic baba. The baba is a pillowy mushroom-shaped pastry soaked in a blend of simple syrup and rum, representing the true taste of Naples. Visitors praise its perfect texture and balanced sweetness.
Sfogliatelle was so delicious, it’s a must try in Naples. I liked the crunchy one but classic was also tasty. Ladies were so kind even though they didn’t speak English. Service was good as well 👍
Jamala K — Google review
Meh. We bought two baba medio; a farcito and a normal and they were just ok. Kinda soggy and flavor was lacking. Can’t comment on other items but if they’re the same quality then probably nothing to get excited about.
Eric T — Google review
Spectacular desserts here. We thoroughly enjoyed 4 different kinds...Baba, cannolo, sfogliatella and a type of chocolate eclair. Delicious! We did the walk up to order and the girls working were polite and helpful.
Lori F — Google review
We got the crema pasticcera babà. It was very good but didn’t have enough rum.
Devan P — Google review
The worst coffee what I tried in Italy. The pastry was ok, not the best what you can have along the street. Very rude and arrogant staff. I would not recommend anyone to visit.

Central tourist area but still quality and there's a loo (I didn't use it but is good to know!). Seats and a great view. Also had takeout another morning and very tasty, naughty goods!

Pasticceria Poppella, a historical brand in Naples since 1920, was founded by Raffaele Scognamillo and his wife Giuseppina Evangelista. Known for its unique Neapolitan snowflakes that melt in your mouth, this pastry shop is a must-visit when in Naples. The delicate snowflakes can be enjoyed with cream or chocolate and pistachio. The takeaway boxes are also popular souvenirs.
A famous patisserie, which opens at 8:30, that has all kinds of cakes, and pastries, out of this world. Everything is so beautiful, and more importantly - really delicious. We will come back again, also tomorrow, and we will certainly recommend the place, to others.
Dov G — Google review
I decided to try all of them after seeing the crazy line to try these, but the staff is really really fast. and I ate the deserts in the plate and I felt great 😂 i even had two more before my flight . I got 10 fiocchi di neve with me, for my friends to try and I brought 5 of them home. I got them at 14:00 and I was home after my flight to Albania at 22:00. They can last for 10 hours without being refrigerated and three days refrigerated. I should have gotten more. After being refrigerated they tasted even better. I got just one with pistacchio but it was so good. It is worth the wait. They should have added one charging place cause with that line I lost my battery and I got what I wanted instead of communicating with my cousins to ask them what would they prefer.
LEDJA B — Google review
as what others said, the snowflake pastry is really good! it's soft and sweet but it's light. we really enjoyed it. the baba is not bad too, can taste the rum and good that they sell the small size because we're quite full. we went quite early in the morning and there was no queue surprisingly. no seating inside so we had to takeaway and eat outside
Hans S — Google review
A good place with normal service. The specialty, the 'fiocco di neve' (snowflake), is very good. However, it's not a café, so there are no drinks, and maybe some pastries are missing, but it's fine.
Astroblock — Google review
So sad about this dessert shop with super long queue The ingredients are super bad and pistachio cake doesn’t even have pistachio flavor but just sugar sugar and sugar The cookie tastes like it has been out there for more than one month Super stale No reason for wasting so much time and money here So disappointed Very overpriced and fancy shop
Best F — Google review
€2 for one very reasonable price The pastry is like a donut like filled with this white cream it was delicious
Jennifer M — Google review
queued a little over an hour for their specialty fresh cream pastry. not worth the wait. the pastry was dry and doughy. there’s other offerings nearby that may be just as good or even better.

This shell-shaped pastry is a crispy, multi-layered roll filled with ricotta and almond paste, topped with icing sugar. Pintauro has been delighting customers with these heavenly sfogliatellas since 1785.
Only tried the sfogliatella. It was great with a very balanced mix of flavors. There was a long queue so I left and came back a bit later later and it was empty.

Exceptional pastry! Dropped by for the sfogliatella, was crispy on the outside, fluffy ricotta filling, and the perfect touch of lemon peel.
Ant W — Google review
Oh, the sfogliatella was SO SO good! Crispy and still warm and lightly flavored! So glad we skipped the other pastry shops nearby and stopped here. No seating though.
Jenny L — Google review
Ok, so this was the weirdest food experience in Napoli. read a lot of good things about the place, a "must see". Hahaha there were 2 guys who looked so depressed you thought you'd brighten their day by walking in and buying something. There were about 5 sfogliatelle inside. We asked what fillings they had, they said one (OK, no problem, I like it simple!). One of the guys said the price and took our money. The other one reheated our 3 sfogliatelle and handed them to us. Nor one word, not one smile, no other soul in the place, and their looks almost made me want to apologise for buying the pastries. Eerie. Pastries were nice though.

This bakery is close to our Airbnb, we came here grab our morning coffee and breakfast. There are many different types of pastries, some traditional Naples style, some regular ones. The staff is here nice and helpful, though they don’t speak much English, they were being very patient and helpful. There some little high tables if you decide to eat in.

I can't recommend this bakery enough. It was close to our accommodation and we decided to give it a go. I can confirm the best cornetto I've ever tried in my life (and I've travelled across Italy a lot). It was full of chocolate (real chocolate praline) and they offer savoury options too. It's a must if you are in the area!

If you’re looking for an excellent and affordable place in Naples for sweets, snacks, gelato, or drinks, this is the spot for you! 🇮🇹🫶🏼🥰 We discovered this charming place during our last few days in the city, and we were so disappointed we didn’t find it sooner because it was wonderful! The staff was extremely friendly, and everything we tried was fantastic. We even came back twice in one day because we were so eager to try their ice cream! The prices were quite fair too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Naples, especially if you’re near the station. It’s so good!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bakery
Poppella, a family-owned pastry shop established in 1920 and located in the Rione Sanita, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The third generation now manages this renowned establishment, which expanded to a second branch near several famous landmarks. Poppella is known for its signature Fiocco di Neve, a brioche bun filled with secret cream, as well as other delectable treats like Calice di San Gennaro and Bombetta di Toto.
The sweetest experience in Naples! FIOCCO DI NEVE is the bakery original signature dish (and this very branch is where its journey started).
Davide C — Google review
I came across this in a special guidebook about Naples, and on our last day, we went for a little pastry, and I'm glad we did. Tiny little place, the guy sat behind the counter, smoking, asked us if we wanted to try something delicious, and then he just handed us a fresh little bun filled with pork and egg. It was piping hot and so delicious. We had two little pastries as well. We sat in this very simple family run place and had a little piece feel of what naples is about. Wouldn't travel across town, but it was an 800m walk from our place and well worth it.

Justin A — Google review
Nestled in the heart of Naples, "Poppella Pasticceria" stands as a timeless testament to the art of sweet confections. With roots tracing back to the year 1920, this quaint and storied shop has been enchanting locals and visitors alike for generations. During our unforgettable holiday in Naples, we were fortunate enough to have stumbled upon this hidden gem, thanks to a recommendation from a friendly local. The selection of treats was impressive, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary delights that catered to various tastes. The air was filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked sweets, an olfactory symphony that beckoned us further into this confectionery wonderland. The sweets were undeniably fresh and scrumptious, leaving us with a delightful burst of Italian flavors in every bite. The pastries were tender, the cakes moist, and the chocolates velvety smooth. Each treat offered a delightful dance of textures and flavors, leaving us in awe of the craftsmanship behind these delectable creations. However, amidst the enchanting sweetness, we encountered a few hiccups that dampened the experience. The shop, understandably popular, was bustling with eager customers, resulting in an overcrowded atmosphere that made maneuvering a bit challenging. The ordering process proved to be somewhat chaotic, with the enthusiastic crowd adding to the confusion. Moreover, the staff appeared to be overwhelmed by the constant rush, leading to a less than friendly service. Although we understood the demands of running such a popular establishment, the lack of warmth in the interactions was a minor disappointment amidst the sweetness that enveloped us. Nonetheless, any bitterness we may have felt from the service was quickly forgotten with each subsequent bite of the divine treats. The allure of "Poppella Pasticceria" was undeniable, and the unforgettable flavors lingered on our palates, leaving us with cherished memories of this sweet haven in Naples. In conclusion, "Poppella Pasticceria" is an experience that transcends time, offering a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Despite the minor service shortcomings, the delectable treats served at this charming shop are an absolute delight for any food lover, especially those with an insatiable sweet tooth.

Strange place.. as soon as we entered - very old guy just put some bread in our hands, then we tried to ask for some pastry and instead of 2 pieces - he put double-triple amount of everything. In the end he charged us with 10 euros. We threw all this bakery in the bin, because it was not good and some of it were not fresh(

Mary's Sfogliatella is a renowned Neapolitan pastry that has gained worldwide appreciation and is beloved by many. This delightful treat, with its crispy pastry shell and sweet icing sugar, encases a soft filling of ricotta and candied fruit. The bakery, nestled in the charming Galleria Umberto, offers these delectable sfogliatelle to locals and visitors alike.
Mary’s Sfogliatella is a small gem right at the entrance to Galleria Umberto I. Don’t be put off by the occasional line—it moves quickly, and the reward is absolutely worth it. This place serves what might be the best sfogliatella in Naples. Mine was fresh out of the oven, perfectly crisp, and filled with deliciousness. At just €2, it’s a steal. The ladies behind the counter were fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly. If you’re anywhere nearby, make this a priority stop. Highly recommend!

A small pastry stand with classic Naples deserts and baked goods. Visited on holiday evening and the line was long but moving. Prices are very reasonable, pastries are fresh and delicious. They will pack to go too. Take cash or credit card.
Vlada — Google review
We had sfogliatella at two places and we like here better. There’s a long line but it moves fast. I was expecting the pastry like a filled croissant but the outside are way more crunchy. It’s not too sweet so I like it.
Meng Y — Google review
The place is very crowded maybe overhyped but the baba rum was very good except for the sfogliatella is average and alot of people waiting not clean streef
Chawki D — Google review
The Sfogliatella riccia was lovely, and it stayed warm for ages. Crispy outside, soft on the inside! The service was a little stressful, I ordered 2 pastries (a pistacchio cannoli which wasn’t for me so can’t comment on), each came on a separate piece of paper, one of my hands was already full with the change from paying for them, and a water bottle, so it would’ve been nice to be offered a plate or at least be handed the second dessert. Instead it was left on the counter and the next customer was then in between me and my food. It wasn’t very nice, having to rush off with one pastry awkwardly squashed on top of the other so that they could hurriedly serve the next customer.
Katy R — Google review
AVOID! The guy behind the counter was extremely rude, ignored us completely when we asked him a question, and acted like we were invisible. The pastries were stale and tasteless, I don’t get the hype at all! Won’t be coming back plenty of better bakeries/sfogliatella out there.

Sfogliate and Sfogliatelle are a delightful Neapolitan treat consisting of paper-thin layers of clam-shaped pastry filled with a luscious mixture of creamy ricotta cheese, sugar, cinnamon, and candied citrus. These labor-intensive pastries come in two versions: riccia (curly) and frolla (shortcrust), with the former being the most popular.
The best coffee I have had in Italy. The pastries are also to magnificent, and the team members are lovely. Will return there, and I highly recommend this institution when visiting Naples!

Great place that sells Sfogliatelle, a typical sweet from Naples. I am from Sicily so I am well acquainted with ricotta in sweets: in this case the ricotta is quite different! They make their sweets with old recipes that were studied in archives and literature. This is an "unexpected" great place and surely will not give you the typical sfogliatella but a VERY GOOD one. I also suggest heavily the San Patrizia one without ricotta. You'll be blown away by the spices, the cinnamon, the texture, the moist. You would expect a normal frolla to be "dry" without ricotta. Infact, it's remarkable. Great job guys, keep it up :)

Definitely the best sfogliatelle in Campania! Fresh, crispy and tasty with a hint of an orange in the ricotta filling. Informative and kind service

We come here by accident. Means I don’t see my list and suddenly we see this shop (it’s already in my list, actually) At that time, no customer. The seller is quite friendly. We order 2 different kinds of their products with cappuccino and coffee of course. Crispy and soft. I prefer the crispy one. Classic sfogliatelle I think. I like the dough but I don’t really like inside cream/ricotta etc. too much for me :) Try it when you visit Naples.

If you're craving some Sfogliatella, Naples signature pastry then there's no better place to try it than a bakery named after it. That's basically all they have and they they make them very well. You can try the flaky riccia version or frolla which has a shortbread style crust. Both are very delicious. There's a few tables inside to eat and the cashier was very nice. One thing to note is this cafe is tucked away in little alley off the main street so it's easy to miss.

This place is amazing!! Easily the best sfogliatelle of my life; coming from my home, the heart of NYC’s little Italy, I arrived to Napoli with a passion for this pastry and was prepared to have my mind blown. And I sure did! They have the kindest & most accommodating staff ever, he sat us on the “balcony” seating for photos :) do it right and get an espresso!

A dream coming true! Because I’m allergic to dairy, I felt blessed to have a chance to taste the Santa Patrizia Riccia & Frolla, which are completely dairy-free and consist of two types of sweets from Napoli bakery! The Santa Patrizia Riccia is made with puffy pastry, and the Frolla is made with shortcrust. Both are stuffed with a lovely dairy-ree mix of almond, hazelnut and orange zest! I couldn't believe how tasty they were! Best eating them as soon as they are baked with a lovely espresso made with the moka machine! Supper suggested it is a must-try in Napoli!

Honestly best Sfogliatella I’ve had, warm, crispy, moist and zesty. They did forgot another pastry I asked for so that’s my only complaint and reason it doesn’t get 5 stars.

We were just getting the tram back to our accommodation when we heard music coming from this bakery and a big crowd of people gathered outside. There was a DJ and a live sax player. It turns out that they were celebrating their 25th birthday, with free nibbles and a party. It was great to try their delicious skewers, mini pizzas and fruit, but the highlight was the individual profiteroles, which they serve in different flavours, for example with a rich chocolate sauce or lemon sauce. These were beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The lemon one was particularly tasty. Inside the shop there are some beautiful cakes, such as the chocolate blood orange log. Our visit to the Mignone bakery was an unexpected highlight of our trip, and I'd definitely recommend popping in there for a profiterole or two.

Delicious, soft, creamy sweet and balanced Profiteroles. Go here. Best experience in the entire city of Napoli. Not even joking. Pompeii? Nup. Archeological Museum? Nup. Walking the city? Hell no. Go to this bakery, buy yourself 100 profiteroles for .50c each, and stuff yourself silly for a good weekend. Just watch out crossing the roads to get there. You might die, but the risk is worth it. Good luck, and God-speed.

Chalet Ciro 1952 in Mergellina is a cherished Naples establishment offering a wide array of flavors crafted from locally-sourced, high-quality ingredients. Established in 1952, this family-run gelateria overlooks the picturesque Mergellina seafront and invites visitors to indulge in their famed rum-soaked baba gelato and divine almond and honey creation. Additionally, Chef Pepe's favorite pizza can be enjoyed here.
The bar itself is quite small, but I Cornetti, the croissants were huge. Lots of choices to choose from. One of the best breakfast you could have. I simply loved and enjoyed very much my croissant with Nutella, and the espresso coffee was superlative as well, a real Italian coffee. We also bought different pastries like baba, sfogliatelle, millefoglie that were very excellent and everyone enjoyed them a lot.

Chalet Ciro in Naples is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The sfogliatelle? Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—crispy, flaky perfection with a rich, flavorful filling that made every bite unforgettable. And the views? Simply breathtaking! Gazing out at Mount Vesuvius while savoring a delicious treat felt like a dream. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Chalet Ciro is a must-stop spot for authentic flavors and stunning scenery. Can't wait to return!

Two days in a row I ordered sandwiches from here. I’m an American visiting this beautiful country and wanting to enjoy their culture and food. On both occasions I was given the wrong sandwich, and on the second belittled by the large Italian man behind the deli counter… The first time, we ordered a prosciutto and salami sandwich that was positioned in view of the deli. Our ticket was sent to the back of the deli, versus grabbing one of the sandwiches from view. As we walked down the boardwalk away from Chalet Ciro and finally opened our sandwich, we found ham wrapped in a hotdog with some cheese. We chalked it up to language barriers. The second time, I pointed at the sandwich specifically and ordered from the checkout to be sure not to misunderstand. Instead of prosciutto and ham, I received a tuna sandwich. While it was good. It was not what I ordered… I’m respectful when I travel, and while not fluent, speak to the best of my ability to show appreciation. This man was rude, and clearly gave me the wrong food both times while shouting out “Miami Beach” while grabbing and handing me my sandwich. I don’t live anywhere near Miami, but he’s obviously generated his own opinions from his position behind the counter…So unprofessional and off putting… shame on you… The food was amazing, if you can handle the belittlement of the older and larger man behind the counter stop here. If not, keep walking.

Extremely Disappointing — Don’t Waste Your Time We came here based on all the glowing reviews, but honestly, this place is nothing special. Most of the products clearly aren’t handmade by the owner, they look mass-produced and identical to what you’ll find at every other nearby stall, right down to the packaging. Sure, they fry some doughnuts... but that’s hardly unique or impressive. The gelato? Laughable, we were given two of the tiniest scoops imaginable. The tiramisu was bland and flavourless, and the rum baba was so dry it was inedible. We made a long journey out of our way to visit, and left hugely disappointed. Apart from being in a good location, everything else is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. As for customer service, don’t expect any. Staff were indifferent and unwelcoming. Overall, poor service, mediocre food, and factory-made products with boutique prices. Avoid.

Very good ice cream, creamy and well made. A medium is €3.8, so very well priced for the quality. The only reason it does not have full stars is because I like my chocolate flavor to be even deeper and stronger. It is very well located because it's perfect to get ice cream and walk around the bay.

It's always the same issue: you're in the center of a touristy city and you wanna have dinner. Where should you go? Should you rely on Maps knowing that most ratings were set by tourists? 🤔 Not in Barcelona 🇪🇸, for sure. But in Napoli 🇮🇹, things seemed different as I could see lots of locals in the main touristy streets... So we decided to follow Maps for our dinner that day and we reached a place with good ratings that was open according to Maps but that was... closed in real life. 😤 Plan B then: Spaccanapoli, a couple of streets away. The look of the place was kinda cold, not cozy at all. The waitress was nice even though she recommended that we order the most expensive item on the menu, the fried seafood 🦐 platter, without telling us about the price upfront... 😒 And the food was more than correct. Especially the seafood that was great. 👍 My son dared to order a pizza 🍕 with fries 🍟 on the top which, to me, sounds like a heresy (like pineapple 🍍 on a pizza 🍕) but isn't so strange, apparently, as he already had that on a previous trip to Italy 🇮🇹. 🤷 We paid €22 each, no dessert, no alcohol. It's kinda expensive for Italy 🇮🇹 but yeah, that was mainly due to the seafood platter... Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 8/10 Service: 6/10 How I felt afterwards: 7/10

The food was absolutely delicious, with the pizza being especially perfect—clearly cooked with skill and passion! The small restaurant is located in the city center, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I loved the warm ambiance from the wooden-fired fireplace, which added to the charm of the place. Additionally, the prices were quite reasonable, making it a great spot to enjoy a satisfying meal. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Very good pizza and value for money specially taking into the location and the fact that you can eat in the terrace. The grilled steak wasn’t great but hey I guess that was our mistake because who would order anything that’s not pizza and pasta here.

Pretty average spot in one of the hot tourist spots of the city . It’s okay to eat but manage your expectations as I found the food to be more salty than the other restaurants I tried. Sfogliatella like if it had fallen out of heaven, right into my plate!
Hanna O — Google review
I tried my first sfogliatella here, and honestly, it was a letdown. It didn’t taste fresh at all. The coffee was just average but way overpriced—most places in Italy serve cappuccino for less than €2, but here it’s more expensive and nothing special. The atmosphere wasn’t great either; the place feels old and not very inviting to sit and enjoy. Overall, not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Sepideh S — Google review
Chose this place for my first sfogliatelle breakfast in Naples after comparing some options. Wanted a seating place where I could get a coffee also. Typical Italian bar place where you pay your order then collect your coffee and pastries. Got one sfogliatelle, one mignon baba and an Americano for 5,40 Euro. The sfogliatelle was full of tasty filling but not warm. Coffee really good. Staff friendly but not over average welcoming. You sit outside right on the pedestrian zone and it's not a separated terrasse so expect to be passed by many people

The absolute best sfogliatella we ate in Naples!!! Served hot, the ricotta was amazing! Caffè is also great. Friendly staff. Such a shame we didn’t get a chance to come back for another sfogliatella. Complimenti!!

I had the best experience here! I came for a coffee and was offered a lemon granita with tea by the boss, it’s apparently a Napoli specialty. I don’t understand why everyone here complains about bad service, everyone was so nice to us at the bar! Also, you need to understand that paying for a coffee at the bar vs sitting on the table are different prices in europe! If you can’t understand this then you’re going to think they have bad service but this is the norm. Augustus has really good cakes too, after all they’ve been around a long time! Do not leave without trying their baba and sfogliatelle, so delicious!

I was in Naples to create a report and material for my guided tours. At lunch I was looking for a local solution with which to have lunch as at home, order quickly and go back to the B&B to enjoy the lunch. Gluten free heaven. That’s all I can say, really. It has all you want without gluten. It’s a bit small so if you get there in peak hours might be tough to find a spot but otherwise, definitely a must visit. We were there every morning of our visit to Naples
Luca M — Google review
We came to Leopoldo Cafebar - Senza Glutine hoping to enjoy a classic Italian breakfast with good coffee and pastries, but unfortunately, the experience was quite the opposite. The food was mediocre at best, and the cappuccino was not only cold but also had a very unpleasant taste — definitely not what you’d expect from an Italian café. The pastries were another letdown — they didn’t taste fresh and lacked flavor. To make things worse, the staff was incredibly rude. The man who served us was arrogant and seemed more interested in rushing us out than offering any sort of hospitality. His attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the entire experience even more unpleasant. We do not recommend this place at all. There are far better cafés in the area where you can enjoy a warm atmosphere, good food, and respectful service. This one, sadly, falls far short.
Huseyin Y — Google review
Ordered a slice of focaccia with a crisp crust and good flavor; a companion ordered another focaccia and several sweets, and most items were enjoyed except the babà. Although all of this the service was weak: there was a long wait before the order was taken, and during the bill check a line‑item mistake was found; when asked to review the bill, the staff member responded curtly and pointed to each item on the receipt. Overall impression: food quality was positive, while customer service needs improvement.

People laughed when they found out I was going on a trip to Italy, because I am not able to eat gluten, and when you think of Italian food you think of the pasta, pizza and pastries. A few days before my trip I learned that there are many restaurants and cafes that take being gluten-free and celiac seriously and many with dedicated gluten-free food preparation kitchens. Luckily, we were staying in Naples, Italy for a few nights and this gem of a bakery was nearby. It’s a must to go, if you can’t have gluten. They also have lactose free items too. They have a constant flow of gluten-free treats, so you don’t have to worry about them running out of things. The croissants were flaky, and the perfect texture just like I remember ones with gluten being. And the prices were normal. I live in the USA, and have never seen anything like this quality for gluten-free pastries here. I hope one day this bakery would consider expanding to other countries.

I was eating my pastry, and, towards the end, I noticed about 2cm of tinfoil at the bottom, right in the middle of the filling. I told the man who worked at the cash register, to which he replied “It was just a bit of the butter packaging that accidentally went into the cream” after that he said sorry, no refunds, no discount, nothing. He got someone to tell the chef but that was about it. I’m happy I noticed it, because I would’ve eaten it otherwise. Food wasn’t that great either.

So many pastries to choose from! My Airbnb was just up the street from here and I walked by every day debating whether or not to go inside. When I finally relented, I ended up ordering the zeppole and delizia al limone since I read that those are some of the must-try desserts in Naples (aside from sfogliatelle, which I had eaten plenty of by this time). Together, they cost less than 7 euros (which I was so surprised about, given how large they were!) and packaged beautifully. They were almost too pretty to eat! Terrible terrible service, cheap prices but pastries that didn't taste as great as I had hoped for. I went there at about 12.00 on a weekday and nobody was in the shop. The woman in the shop (the owner maybe?) was talking on the photo but saw me. Then she started to completely ignore me! I thought that maybe she had an important phone call and she would hang up soon as a customer just entered. NOPE! She continued to speak for a minute, looked at me a few times and continued to ignore me. Terrible service! As I was about to leave, one of the chefs saw what was happening and came out. He look at me, looked at her in disbelief and motioned for her to help me. She continued to ignore me and kept talking on the phone. So he was kind and helped me despite not knowing English. The pastry I bought? Decent but nothing special. Would give it a 3 out of 5.

From the classics of the small pastry shop, the mignons, the classic sweets, up to the more particular cakes, I have always found everything good and fresh; the goodness of the creams and the maintaining of the pastry tradition are a rare quality that distinguishes de Michele. For occasions, as well as for Sunday customs, I rely exclusively on them. Personally I find their chocolate cream to be simply divine. They have also always been extremely kind and helpful. Pasticceria Giovanni Scaturchio is an incredibly pleasant establishment that offers flavorful and fresh dishes. The server, Ilaria, is exceptionally warm-hearted, kind, and friendly. It is a charming small bar where one can enjoy a scrumptious sfogliatella alongside a great cup of coffee while finding comfortable seating arrangements. With its rich history dating back to 1905, this patisserie provides an array of traditional sweets that are truly unparalleled.
Nice Cappuccino, excellent pastries. The service provided by Hilaria was exceptional. She was very welcoming. She was patient and very helpful when it came to choose from the vast selection of local pastries.

Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs! I ordered a coffee and a cappuccino at the counter. The bartender looked at me, then started chatting with a girl and proceeded to work on loading the dishwasher. After more than five minutes of waiting, I asked, and the bartender arrogantly and rudely told me that if I didn’t want to wait, I could ask for a refund. P.S. At the counter, the manager didn’t back me up and gave me less than what I had paid! In short, rude and deceitful staff. I believe a major brand like Scaturchio has the responsibility to select adequate personnel.

Awful experience in my own neighborhood. They opened here on the hill years ago and today for the first time I went there to buy some traditional pastries that my family likes for this time of the year. Unfortunately, I found out despite having the same brand, this place has nothing to do with the place elsewhere in town where I usually buy my pastries from. But the very sad thing about this place is that they have no respect for people stopping by for a coffee or a cappuccino. Unless you’re willing to pay for a table outside be prepared to be treated poorly. It’s NOT living up for the standard of Napoli.

Great service. They give you complimentary water and €2.2 for soy cappuccino . Beautiful outdoors on street great coffee

Prices are high compared to other places on the same street. The quality is average at best, and the service is not pleasant. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the cost.

After spending a month in Europe, can confidently say that this was the best breakfast by far. Ilaria was a beautiful, welcoming hostess who did an amazing job of looking after us and helping us with her fantastic English. The food was stunning, the coffee was great, and we felt instantly as if we were family members. Would highly highly recommend this place to anyone, and will rush back to see Ilaria next time we visit. Thankyou!

Absolute gem of a place, we had coffee next door and happened to walk past. Some of the best cakes of our lives (and we’ve been to Paris!) small, tasty delights. The woman serving, Carmen? This is the good stuff! Found the place by accident while walking in the neighbourhood, and the beautiful pastries in the window immediately triggered my pastry radar. I am a self-proclaimed pastry snob and I know high quality pastry when I see one, and this place is a temple of great pastry! The baba was the best I had in Napoli, and all the small pastries tried were delicious. My only regret is to not have tried more of them. I particularly enjoyed the mini format. Prices were also surprisingly good for that level of quality! We even found out a few days later that one of the very good restaurants we ate at (Januarius ) was sourcing the desserts on its menu from there, which says a lot about the quality of this pastry shop!

We first went here to try the fried pizza, and we were happy with the taste. And during our vacation, we came here for breakfast more than 3x. The pastries looked good and warm when we ordered in the morning. The baristas were very friendly guys, and yes, I must admit the ladies who served the pastries and the cashier weren't as friendly, despite you being nice and warm with them. Overall, my husband and I were pleased having breakfast here at the bar, knowing that it's typical in Napoli to have table charge - so we usually stand in the bar and eat and go.
Cindy M — Google review
Very rude service, she insulted me in front of everyone. I wanted to pay by card, but they preferred cash. That's not a problem, but since contactless payment was also an option, I wanted to use that. The woman at the checkout looked in my wallet, saw a banknote, and called me a liar. When I politely explained that I did have cash but would prefer to pay by card, she called me a liar again, called me Pinocchio, made inappropriate gestures, laughed loudly about me with her colleagues, and didn't even respond when I said goodbye.

Good service, significantly better than average pastries, fair prices. One of the best cafe/pastry options in chiaia. The zarello is excellent compared to many in Naples. Customers rave about the mouthwatering marinara pizza with its amazing sauce and commend the owner for his dedication to ensuring guests' satisfaction.
It's more than just a restaurant—it feels like home. We were welcomed with warmth. The touch of laundry hanging as part of the décor made it feel authentically Neapolitan, like stepping into a family kitchen. We decided to try the pizza fritta, expecting it to be heavy and oily, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was light, crispy, and packed with flavor. The homemade dessert was a perfect ending. Everything about our experience was fantastic—the food, the atmosphere, and the genuine hospitality.

What a charming little spot, run by a true gentleman. Without a doubt, the best pizza I’ve had among the top places I tried in Napoli. This place truly deserves a spot in the city's top 10 restaurants. The service was quick, always accompanied by a warm smile. We enjoyed the traditional Margherita and Fried Pizza—Margarita was exceptional but fried wasn't my type. The Margherita was light, perfectly cooked, and had a beautifully crisp crust, just as a classic Neapolitan pizza should. If I ever return to Napoli, this will be my go-to place. Thank you, Capasso!
Erhan A — Google review
Genuinely one of the best restaurants I have ever been in. Pizza and Tiramisu was incredible plus the restaurant itself is exactly what you want from a small pizza place in the heart of Napoli. I could not fault the entire experience in anyway, unbelievable.

I can hardly understand and believe the high ratings for this restaurant, or I was really unlucky. My experience was particularly poor, the pizzas really average, all soggy with basic ingredients, surely not eligible for good pizza. The lasagne served on the next table far from appetising. The service would win a lame award. The only positive is the decoration and restaurant location. I might be too demanding for this price point but there are way better options to enjoy a proper pizza on Via Tribunali.

I had breakfast here twice whilst staying at Palazzo Gozye down the road. Such a shame as the rest of the staff are so friendly and the sfogliatelle and coffee were great.

We had coffee in this shop yesterday and were greeted by two young gentlemen. The coffee is of good quality and we are very satisfied. So we stopped by today for another visit. We asked for caffe shakerato and the older waiter brought me Caffè e panna. After we pointed out it wasn't what we were looking for, he said it was this. We took out the photo of the caffe shakerato we drank yesterday, and he did it for us without saying a word. While paying, an accident happened. The price of the caffe shakerato we drank at the bar yesterday was 2.5€, but today they charged us 3.5€. (We have been standing at the bar all the time) After we showed the comparison between yesterday's receipt and today's, we explained for a while before they refunded the difference to us. They didn't apologize and had a bad attitude. The coffee was good and the waiter was good yesterday, but the attitude and behavior of the waiter today was disappointing.

Pasticceria Vincenzo Bellavia is a delightful gem that beautifully marries the sweet traditions of Naples and Sicily. Founded by Antonio Bellavia, who left Palermo in 1925, this pastry shop has become a must-visit spot at Naples airport. Travelers can indulge in an array of fresh pastries while waiting for their flights or take home boxed treats to share with loved ones. Although prices may be slightly higher than those found in city center branches, the quality and taste make it well worth it.

This is always a good stop at the airport. Fresh treats to have whilst sat in the airport as well as being able to get them boxed up to take away and bring home with you. Prices are slightly higher than what they may be at the main branches of these shops in the city centre but they are by far no means ‘expensive’. Well worth a trip and they always please people back at home with a fresh taste of Naples.

So much to choose from! Love their pastries. I recommend the sfogellia and their lemon pastries. Affordable and delish!
Quincy Q — Google review
I guess being the only Pasticceria in the airport is the excuse of putting a very little effort in baking. The main stop here is the sfogliatella, everyone knows if you come to Naples and leave without it you lost something. Here they are burned, greasy and without any flavours. Cannot even say they are baked by Neapolitan. I fly at least once every 2 months from Capodichino... Never had a joy so far.
Rosa S — Google review
Tried a lemon caprese cake here and it wasn't lemony or moist. Tasted quite plain. Had heard rave reviews about the pastry hence wanted to try it but we were in for disappointment. The service here was also not great. They least bothered to serve us though we were standing there for a while waiting to be served and they weren't even busy! The only saving grace for this place was it looked every clean and everything organized.

I cannot express how incredible our wedding cake was. We eloped in Positano and stopped here to pick up our wedding cake after landing in Napoli. I want to preface this by saying I am not a “cake person” and mostly ordered a small wedding cake for photos. I could NOT stop eating this cake. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten. The chef used fresh strawberries from their garden to make the most delicious strawberry cake. The icing was phenomenal. It was one of our favorite parts of our elopement and I am so glad we went with Mon Sciu for our wedding cake.

I contacted Chef Cianciaruso to see if it was possible to order a custom cake for our wedding anniversary the following week. Through WhatsApp, she offered various options and flavors to choose from, an estimate, and even an option to pay online! As a result, we enjoyed an amazing lemon curd and white chocolate cake topped with assorted choux for our 1 year anniversary. It had the perfect balance of sweetness, tartness, and varying textures to make us keep eating and eating and eating! Truly one of the best cakes I've had. Thank you, Mon Sciu', for making our special day extra special and sweet ❤️

Please go!! Very good pastries, pretty sure I ate my way through all the mignon choux in one sitting, all very very good. The lemon/citrus ones are incredible. Owner (and more or less one woman show) of the place is very nice to chat with and experienced! Definitely recommend

Pasticceria Vincenzo Bellavia is a renowned pastry shop that can be found in the central station of Naples, situated near the tracks and across from the pharmacy. Despite its relatively small size, the place exudes a welcoming atmosphere and is well-maintained. The shop offers an array of both sweet and savory treats. Visitors have praised their stuffed baba paired with coffee, expressing satisfaction with the generous portion of rum in the baba and the quality of espresso served.
I came here second time now for the coffee. The customer service is so good (I have not come across this too often in Naples) and coffee is excellent.

If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Naples, make sure to stop by Sfogliatelle Attanasio, a beloved bakery renowned for its exquisite sfogliatelle. This delightful pastry shop specializes in these flaky treats that are filled with creamy ricotta and come in both the traditional curly crust and shortcrust varieties. The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, often bustling with eager customers lining up for their fix of freshly baked pastries.
1. Get a ticket from the dispenser on the door. 2. Look at the number screen on the wall 3. It resets when It gets to 100 so if you are A01 you are technically position 100 and A02 would be 101. 4. Once your number is up, go to the counter to order. 5. Once ordered you go down to the till to pay. 6. Once paid go back up to collect your goods 7. Enjoy. We had a few things, great value and would highly recommend.

This place is incredibly busy, so if you’re planning to try their pastries, make sure you know the system: collect a token first, head into the shop to pay for your item, then wait for your token number to be called. Don’t just stand in the queue As for the food honestly, it felt a bit overrated. Apart from the croissant, which was excellent, everything else tasted pretty average. Given the hype and the fact that it’s an Italian bakery with artisan flair, I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavour and uniqueness. Worth a visit for the experience, but don’t expect to be blown away by everything on offer.
Random E — Google review
Yes Good buiscuits but the people working there are so RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY!!! how can you give a good review? I guess they don’t care. I can see how it’s become a popular place but you don’t simply yell at the people what they want to order will stress them so much just to hurry them up, especially when you haven’t ordered that in the past and you don’t know the language also, you don’t throw the chain at someone in their face when they paid, it’s so incredibly rude so I do not recommend this at all. There are plenty of other places serving Sfogliatelle in Naples. Don’t fall for the hype.

A really good sfogliatella and I didn’t notice any hint of off-putting service mentioned by a few other reviewers. On the contrary I found the people working there to be quite friendly. The biscuit was exactly as advertised. I’d have another if given the opportunity.

So much could be said, but one bite of a sfogliatella says more than a thousand words. Pure heaven. Riccia and sfogliata were both fantastic in different ways. Their pastiera was also fantastic. Very friendly staff, and conveniently located a couple of minutes away from the main train station
Matteo B — Google review
Their sfogliatelle is a must-try. Freshly baked straight out of the oven. The phyllo dough is crispy and flaky, the ricotta filling is like heaven, just the perfect amount of sweetness that we love, with a delicate aromatic touch from the orange zest. Altogether a harmonious combination of flavors. We also tried their canolo a la pistaccio and another pastry filled with nutella. The taste was ok, but incomparable to their famous sfogliatelle.

Pasticceria Poppella is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth. The elegant pastry shop in Naples offers a wide array of typical desserts presented like jewels in a boutique. The famous Lemon Delight and classic Fiocco Di Neve are highly recommended, while the pistachio option is also delightful. Despite being slightly far from the center, it's worth the visit for its delectable treats and friendly staff.
We had late breakfast here and really enjoyed it. The service was fantastic and the waiter very friendly, he didn't mind my broken Italian. The pastries are fresh, delicious and the prices are reasonable. Overall great experience and I am going to come back here for breakfast every day as long as I'm in Napoli.

A sweet experience of tradition and excellence! Poppella is more than just a pastry shop: it’s an institution in the heart of Naples’ Rione Sanità, where tradition meets refinement in an explosion of unforgettable flavors. The legendary Fiocco di Neve is pure bliss: soft, delicate, and filled with a velvety cream that melts in your mouth. A little masterpiece that alone is worth the trip to Naples! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service impeccable, and the scent of freshly baked pastries envelops you as soon as you step inside. You simply can’t resist their sfogliatelle, perfectly soaked babà, and pastiera, each bite telling the story of Naples. If you’re looking for a little slice of paradise in the heart of the Sanità district, Poppella is the ultimate destination for a timeless sensory experience. Elegance, tradition, and a touch of pastry magic… simply divine!

Cuori di Sfogliatella is a renowned bakery and cafe located just outside the station, offering a variety of traditional sweets including their flagship product, the well-made and balanced sfogliatelle. These pastries come in two types: sfogliatella riccia, characterized by thin, flaky layers of pastry dough shaped into a cone or clam-like form, and sfogliatella frolla.
This is a perfect place to pop into before and after your train/bus journey. The cakes in the fridges all look amazing. You can get a fresh coffee and have it at the bar like a local or sit outside in the hustle and bustle and watch the world go by. I had a warm sfogliatella that I’ve wanted to try for a long while, the Ragu… it didn’t disappoint. The lovely lady that served us spoke broken English and was extremely helpful, my Italian failed me when I was asked a question, essentially did I want it hot or cold 😂. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend a call in if you’re around.

Absolutely incredible sfogliatella! We stopped by Cori di Sfogliatelle near Piazza Garibaldi by the train station and were blown away. We tried the pistachio, baci, and chocolate — all were fresh, rich, and bursting with flavor. The texture was perfect, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Honestly, the best sfogliatelle we've ever had. A must-visit if you're in Naples!

We didn't dine at this specific venue, but did grab breakfast and snacks at the branches in the Terminus station and Garibaldi square. The Sfogliatella are devine and we enjoyed the coffees. The staff in the Terminus station were very friendly.

The shop is in a great spot and right by the terminal. Visually, it’s very appealing. Clean, modern, and well-presented, it draws you in right away. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the setting. Staff were noticeably slow to serve, even though the shop wasn’t particularly busy at the time. It made the experience feel a bit frustrating, especially if you're short on time before a train or flight. As for the pastries: decent, but unremarkable. They looked good in the display but didn’t offer much in terms of flavor or freshness. Not bad, just not memorable. A convenient stop thanks to its location, but don’t expect much beyond that.

Most rude behavior I’ve ever seen! From waiter to cashier to who I presume is the owner. We ordered simple pasta dishes and were served lukewarm microwave heated dry pasta. On complaining to the waiter, he simply took out the food with no reaction at all. We drank our beer. And went to pay. We made the cashier aware of the poor food we had been served. She simply replied, the WE just didn’t like the taste - and that was our problem since we were obviously German! We insisted that the food simply was awful. Then the manager came, threatening in his behavior. Not listening at all. Only shouting and bullying us out - after we paid the full amount. Calling us the most horrible things. This guy is truly out of his mind. Very unpleasant experience! Not even worth the one star!

Ceraldi Cafe offers a pleasant experience with friendly service and enjoyable food, but the outdoor atmosphere leaves much to be desired. We visited as a group of three an hour before closing, and while the staff were welcoming and the cappuccinos and sweets we ordered were satisfying, the exterior environment was a significant drawback. The outdoor seating area was unbearably hot, with no fans or any cooling measures in place, which made it difficult to fully enjoy our time there. If the cafe could improve its outdoor cooling options, it would significantly enhance the overall experience.

We went there because we wanted to have a classic breakfast with a croissant and coffee. We weren’t there very early, and were told that croissants were already sold out. Instead, they offered us a similar pastry made from the same dough. It wasn’t as flaky as a croissant, but it was decent enough. The coffee was not bad. The location is very central, and sitting at the outdoor tables gives you a chance to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Naples. There are also tables inside. Like in almost every café and restaurant in Naples, the toilet seats had been removed. However, there was an attendant constantly cleaning the facilities, so they were kept clean. Unlike many other places in Naples, this restroom actually had both soap and a lock on the door. The waiter wasn’t particularly friendly, perhaps just not in the mood that day. Still, it’s not a bad place to sit back, watch the crowds pass by, and sip your coffee in a relaxed way. They also had simple omelet options, which tasted fine.

Known for its classic nzogna e pepe taralli and a wide range of sweet treats, it offers a friendly environment with attentive staff.
5 stars If you're in Naples, you must stop by Leopoldo! I tried their classic rum-soaked dessert served in a cup with layers of soft sponge, rich cream, and juicy strawberries – absolutely divine. The dessert was beautifully balanced with hints of lemon and orange, adding a fresh citrusy twist to the sweet, boozy flavor. I also tried a soft pastry filled with creamy custard – warm, comforting, and not overly sweet. Everything was incredibly fresh and satisfying. Perfect for enjoying while sitting on the old stone streets. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth looking to taste authentic Neapolitan treats!

Variety of pastries , coffee drinks are unmatched so far. Service personnel could be friendlier and pay more attention to guests. However, this opinion comes from US consumer. In Europe service is not to our standards. Everything was delicious. Apparently they have many locations throughout Napoli.

I liked the way it looked and decided to get some rest and get a tea. The staff was kind and helpful. Had variety of sweets of course and tea flavours. The yound man who took my order was kind enough to let me know that the charge os higher if you sit compared to take away, i knew that is a thing in Italy but i appreciated him informeling me! Prices were reasonable, i paid 9€ for both tea and a tiramisu. I find the price of tiramisu a bit high compared to the size/ portion, but it was super fresh and full of amazing flavour!

We had tiramisu for dessert. The taste was not that great with loads of fluffy cream - far from a home made tiramisu. The service was poor - long wait to pay. And they use a lot of single use plastic- they can go green.

We had 2 gelato cones with 2 flavors each, which really soothed and cooled us down in the heat. They were delicious and at least the second best during our visit in Naples (only for 3,5€ each). As seems customary here, you first pay for the choice of either a cup or a cone and how many flavors you want. Then you choose in the next counter. Both interactions with the staff were of the nature annoyance and indifference. In the otherwise lively and delightful walk down Via Benedetto Croce it leaves sour taste (figuratively speaking).

I enjoyed what I got. It was a tasty lemon bread pastry with cream inside and out. The service wasn’t great only because of one lady. The lady was clearly fed up with being there. She was wrapping our items with her back to us and slapped on the sticker, missing 3 times because of how angrily she tried putting it on. Besides that the place is good lol.

Had a quick stop at Leopoldo Café Bar and tried their pistachio cannoli along with an iced latte. The cannoli was fresh with a rich pistachio filling that wasn’t overly sweet, and the latte was smooth and refreshing. Cozy spot for a mid-day treat.

Im unsure why this place has only 3.9 stars because the Baba was spectacular and the sarchiapone (icy frappy sparkling lemonade) that the server recommended was perfect for the humid summer. This place is the gel of Napoli. I was getting tired of the small tight roads of endless shops of Napoli- and no matter how much i rested in cafes nothing gave me energy. The great service, the cool air from the air con, delicious baba and the sparkling lemonade made my day.
