There’s a reason there’s so much hype around Roscioli. The bakery is superb. It feels like most people come for the pizza (it was delicious) but the breads and pastries all looked delicious too. One of the culinary highlights of our trip to Rome. If you walk past and there’s a queue, join it. You’ll be queuing for 5 mins at most and it’s inevitably much better than many other places in Rome

The sweet is better than savoury. Not sure why I haven’t seen many people talk about the sweet pastries. The fig tart was really good. The custard wasn't overly sweet and it paired well with the base. The base biscuit was very soft and crumbly, more like a soft cookie rather than a typical hard tart base. The ventaglio was also quite good, it was a pastry version of the butterfly cookie and not too sweet either. The chilli pizza slice was good, the olive oil on it was quite good, not too oily or heavy. But nothing super special. The ham sandwich with lettuce was eh. The lettuce on it tasted weird.

Honestly truly worth the hype and queue outside. Excellent pizza al taglio with a variety of toppings and pizza bianca made to order. The base is nicely crisp with a pillowy dough, all fresh produce and Roscioli-made ingredients. Pizza Burrata is essential and Pizza Bianca con Mortadella is also excellent (very high quality deli meats). Go before lunch rush (12 pm) to beat the queue, but it moves fairly quickly anyway. Service is understandably curt because of how busy it gets, just know what you want and order right away.

Definitely worth the stop!! This is the cutest, most authentic feeling little Italian bakery/deli/pizza spot. It's very small inside with a whole lot of people trying to place orders. Kind of chaotic. Outside there r a couple tables against the building with a few chairs. Definitely not a lot of seating, but it's possible. Pastries & fresh breads look delicious and barely out of the oven, but we didn't try those. Did get a few different salami sliced up for snacking later & those were wonderful. Also got some pizza slices, which they warmed & we ate outside. Like most other quick pizza spots, they cut a portion off the large pizza and then after warming it slice it into smaller pieces. This places cuts very large pieces so if ur not super hungry or want to try a few types, might want to ask for a smaller portion. This shop was also more expensive than others, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and flavor of it. Also, Roscioli has a coffee shop down the street so make sure you go to the correct location.

As every time I’m in Rome, I headed to Roscioli for lunch to grab some pizzas. The place has no seating area inside but there’s a nearby park where I always sit to enjoy my food, so that’s not an issue. Roscioli offers both sweets and savoury dishes, and their highlight is pizza, which comes in different shapes and flavours. Prices are ok, not cheap but not overly pricey. With 16 euros I was insanely stuffed. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food quality outstanding. Overall a great find, totally recommend.

We lined up here for a quick morning bite in Rome. It's worth the try for a grab-and-go. Pros: > Has a variety of classic Italian breads from savory to sweet > We tried a few pizzas, which were really good > Even with a line, service moves at a decent pace—ordering and getting your food doesn’t take too long. Cons: > There is not enough seating so can be a hassle to eat while standing outside. > It can get very busy and crowded.

i loved it! the zucchini and stracciatella pizza flavor is soooo good, and the pilsner beer of the house is also amazing! great merch as well, my favorite souvenir from rome was a tote bag from this place

This is truly the best maritozzo in Rome. The bun is light, the cream has a lemon zest that balances everything beautifully, and the dessert isn’t overly sweet, which I see as a huge plus. In addition, the wild berry pâtissier was excellent, and I also tasted the cake with vanilla cream and chocolate crisps — it was a real celebration.

If you also like Italian cream buns, then you absolutely cannot miss this bakery. In addition to being able to choose large or small cream buns, it also offers a variety of different styles of pastries made with cream and ordinary bread. In addition, the shop is actually composed of a main bakery and a coffee shop. If you only want cream buns, you can go directly to the coffee shop to place an order and buy the coffee you want. But if you want to take away or choose other styles of pastries, you can only buy them in the bakery first and then go to the coffee shop to choose your favorite coffee. In short, this is also a must-try bakery in Rome.

Stopped at Regoli Pasticceria to try the Maritozzi, and it was definitely worth the short wait in line. Service was quick and friendly, and the pastry was fresh, fluffy, and delicious. There are plenty of other tempting options in the bakery too. Would definitely come back and recommend- so tasty!

Worth the visit. Great service. Delicious pastries. This spot was a 10min walk from my hotel and I stumbled into it one morning looking for a caffe. Ended up eating a cannoli and taking some pastries to go. The Sfogliatella was delicious, it had 2 different types of stuffing, the main being the traditional style semolina creamed mixture as well as a cannoli ricotta style. The ricotta style didn’t not have the same taste as you would except, it was creamer. Different from what I am use to but delicious!

This was my first time trying the famous marritozzo from Regoli, and it didn’t disappoint. The brioche bun was very airy and fluffy, with a slight lemon zest to it, which I enjoyed. The whipped cream was also very light and delicious, as it wasn’t too sweet. I wouldn’t go out of the way, if you’re only in Rome for a short visit, but do recommend if you’re nearby the establishment.

The fagottini di ricotta is (no exaggeration) the best pastry I’ve had in my life! Highly recommend that one, and the wild strawberry tart is very good too. The maritozzi and cannoli were just okay in my opinion, but they seem to be really popular. Went here 2 days in a row, once at 8am and another at 10am. There was no queue at 8am but at 10am I had to wait around half an hour, so definitely try to go early.

Delicious and beautiful pastries, be prepared to wait in line and be ready to point if you don't know Italian. They were very helpful and kind to us even with a language barrier, the cream puff pastries were to die for, and the fruit tart was super fresh. Would certainly come back!!

An excellent, thin crust, take-away pizza!! We shared the red pizza and the Margherita. Fresh, quality ingredients, and crispy crust! And I loved that you could watch the pizzas being made as you ordered. My only complaint is that we had to eat the pizza at an Irish pub nearby because the pizza place was take-away only.

I had the mortadella focaccia and the bread tasted fresh. The flavors were extremely simple, with a focus on the freshness of the ingredients. I also had their ragu suppli and it was the highlight for me. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside!

One of my favourite panini spots in the city! Always the freshest, tastiest ingredients and the bread is always perfectly crisp and doused in high quality olive oil. Highly recommend the simple mortadella panino and any of the vegetarian options but especially the one with zucchini, tomatoes and grated provolone. Sweet, ripe tomatoes are such a treat when in Italy. Definitely get your panini to take away and sit on the edge of the nearby fountain in the piazza to enjoy them in the sun.

I came at 8.30am and no long queue. I got my focaccia and pizza al taglio… both are still warm and was soooooo good. The focaccia is the best, it’s crunchy but soft.

The best cookie bakery in the city. Plus, the nice lady gave me some free cookies because I complimented her yellow oven. It’s a beautiful oven (and delicious cookies).

If you want to remember your childhood and your mother's/grandmother's cookies, then this is the perfect place! Delicious and varied cookies, too bad they didn't display the name of each one, to make it easier when ordering (for us tourists). A few blocks away we discovered another bakery, where they serve other types of Italian cookies (cannoli, maritozzo, tiramisu).

We came here during a local food tour and sampled several biscotti, each delicious and delightful

Good experience…..I tried 10 different types of biscuits…..each one with a very distinctive taste….also price very fair (4-5 EUR).

Food weighed per KG rather than individual pricing makes buying from here nice and easy. The biscotti that they sell are delicious, I would highly recommend trying one of each of what they sell. It is not going to cost a lot as they are mostly small bites. We bought from here then had the pleasure of having more from our Eating Europe Rome food tour.

The baked goods are fresh and delicious. I would walk here every morning when in rome and pick up my cornetos, or whatever other baked goods, I want it and just buy my cappuccino from a nice bar. The cornetos from the bars are never fresh. But this place is just amazing. It is worth the walk.

Great family bakery in Trestavare. Bought a variety of cookies and they were all delicious. Tried to get some more to bring back to US, but they had already closed. Don't miss this place!

It was really crowded and they have very few tables. But its all worth the wait, well prepared ans tastes so good. Only issue is that, for coffees its vending machine. Service was quick and the staff was really friendly.

Staff was super nice and spoke excellent English, service was great and it wasn’t noisy and we were able to take a seat inside. We ordered a cinnamon roll and a pain au chocolate. Both were amazing, and fairly cheap for their quality (both €1,80). To drink we had a water, which was nicely cooled, and a biologically pressed pear juice, which is definitely worth trying despite the price tag (€4,80). This place is worth going to!

Very tasty pastry and sandwiches. Perfect for a breakfast. Mini pizza were our favourites and croissants but everything we tried was just great. We ate here in every morning durring our stay in Trastevere. ❤️🩵🩷

French bakery in Rome. The place is not to big, but maybe just enough for the sitting area. The breads were delicious as we expect from French bakery.

Kouign Amann was really buttery and layered, enjoyed it a lot while eating it. Vegan sandwich was nice to but the bread was too rough for a “baguette”. Ambiance is nice but PACKED. Better to grab some coffee and pastry and walk around :) Ps: surprised that they do not have espresso machine and let you grand from a coffee machine, was surprisingly tasty tho.

After glowing reviews of there quiche. I ordered both florantine and veggitable. Maybe vegetables are out of season this early in june but I received an egg and pea quiche. Not exactly bad just not the same veggie quiche that got the rave reviews! Very disappointed. I ordered many other things. They all look consistent with the photos mostly. Some were much smaller and some larger.

Nice pizza but my partner and I were expecting a bit more. Tasty enough but did not wow us. We found better pizzas in Rome but worth the visit, just to try Bonci. Had the one with Rabbit and Potatos, did not pleased our palate while we tried the ham and cheese and it was the best flavour we tried in shop. Also the shop does not display many seats to seat down and eat I have seen there were like 4/5 seats only!!!

I can’t hype this place up enough, what a gem! By far the best pastries, especially maritozzo that we had in Rome. I also want to say how kind the staff were. They explained all of the pastries to us. They truly went above and beyond. We had been practicing Italian for our trip and they let us try and even gave us so pointers on how to improve. I felt so happy! Incredible meal and incredible people. I don’t know what more you could want. They have some standing room outside for you to enjoy your pastries.

Great Roman pizza. Cut by the slice. We pay by the kilo. Also wonderful cakes and delicious raspberry and chocolate brownies. Yummmmmy. Food is to go only.

The Lingue and Whole sliced tomato one were delicious, recommend trying. Mushroom was a little too greasy and oily for me but overall fast service tasty pizza with a cold beer on a hot day 🤤- very much enjoyed it

Best pizza we had in two weeks in Italy — even compared to Naples! There are tons of options to choose from, and everything we tried was delicious. The pastries are great too. I just wish we had known there were tables available at their new location next door — we ate standing at an improvised counter and only found out about the seating afterward. It does get crowded, so be prepared to wait a bit. The staff is fine — just very busy and focused on helping customers quickly. Still, totally worth it for the pizza!

Expensive but soooo good (we paid €17 for the pizze in the photo). The ingredients they use are to die for. And the pizzetta is so crunchy and yummy. Go here if you want to treat yourself

It tasted like plain cream in a sandwich. A dessert with no special qualities. If it’s on your way, you can give it a try, but it’s definitely not worth a special trip.

Typical Italian place for a coffee and some pastries (or, as they call it - breakfast 😁), most of them are sweet, but a few savory options are also available. Quick service, no English, but we understood each other quite nicely 👍🏻 a few tables outside, to enjoy the sun while having a coffee and a bite (no nice views, as it's a neighbourhood cafe, but it's ok)

I was here on a Saturday night at around 10 and was surprised to see freshly baked items coming from the kitchen. Then looking at their timings, realised they are open 24h except on Mondays or so. Everything that we brought was delicious.

Such a cute little authentic Roman pastry shoppe. Incredible food with an old and beautiful vibe. A few tables and chairs outside to compliment. Very friendly staff willing to overcome my language barrier.

Loved this old-school pastry shop, famous obviously for the maritozzaro, but I got a Pasticciotto, filled with vanilla custard cream, and it is the best thing I have eaten since arriving in Rome. I’m going to hop on the 8 tram tomorrow and buy more.

The owner was lovely - but I heard so many amazing things about the maritozzaro that I was quite let down. It’s just bread with cream inside. The simplest you can imagine. Wasn’t bad per se, just, curb your expectations..

Panella, definitely in my morning stops when in town. The atmosphere is lovely with both indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Perfect whether you want a cozy coffee break inside or to soak up the street life outside. The coffee is excellent, and their brick oven pastries and pizzas are hard to resist. I’m especially hooked on their pistachio cornettos, flaky, rich, and filled just right. The cannolis are also a treat, and they make the cutest little sandwiches that are perfect for a light bite.

We really enjoyed Caffè Panella and ate breakfast here several times on our trip. The pastries and pizza are delicious. Good coffee also. You first order at the counter and pay afterwards, which is a bit confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it worked fine. Nice outside seating area.

We had a very pleasant time at Panella, eating the famous Roman pizza. A lovely lady took our order, and even though she didn’t speak English we understood each other very well. Se was very sweet. The pizza was delicious! We felt very welcoming. Grazie mille!

Panella is the right choice for breakfast or brunch. The Espresso and Cappuccino are fresh. The maritozzi is to die for: yummy bread with fresh cream; good to go with Espresso.

What an amazing experience. The restaurant was fully booked up but they opened up a back room for us and some other guests. We sat around an over sized table with a bar at the one end. Beautiful spot to have lunch. The gentleman took a seat at our table and went around taking each of our orders. He joked with our children and made us all feel welcomed. The food was outstanding! But the experience was even better. This place deserves far more recognition than it has. Best meal in Rome.

We visited Roscioli Caffè and tried a few of their stuffed maritozzi and they were absolutely delicious. Light, fluffy, and filled with rich, flavorful cream. Definitely worth the hype when it comes to pastries. However, the service was quite slow, especially considering we only ordered pastries nothing from the kitchen. It took longer than expected to be served. We were seated inside and the space felt a bit clustered, which made the experience less comfortable. I’d recommend ordering takeout and enjoying it at a nearby piazza or park for a more pleasant experience.

One of the worst aperol spritz and Hugo spritz I have ever had, both with more prosecco just to fill the glass, completely removing the emblematic flavors of both these cocktails. The service absolutely terrible, the server came to serve the table next to us who got seated after us (big surprise it was the owners partner, now it makes sense) after serving us and slamming the drinks in my table I tasted the absolute worst spritz I have had. Terrible place would not recommend to anyone who is visiting or lives here.

Roma is swarming with all variety of tourists and many are rude/obnoxious. The key is to learn a little Italian and connect with the overworked staff like a human. Roma is a marvel, the entire city should be declared a World Heritage site. Where else can you walk amongst 2000 year old monuments to Democracy, Civilization and the Wonders of The Human Creative and Artistic potential?? I tried to get into their Salumeria resto the night before—like most good spots during a massive swarm of tourists and Jubillee pilgrims—sold out. Undaunted I returned the next morning for un ristretto and got a table out front, sipping a perfect 3rd wave Cappucino XL, and enjoying a delicious panino. The swarm of tourists got to me, God bless the staff(!!) of course people from all over the world are hungry/tired and uncertain of how Roma caffe culture works but geesh. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see strict disciplinary measures enforced from Coloseo days(whips?) I moved inside to the counter—that’s where the real fun is!! Learn some Italian and you’ll have the best time with the staff and what few Romans brave the tourists to get their place at the counter. It’s all about standing, mingling and chatting!! I’d go back to Roma tomorrow to repeat this day for an entire week. I showed him a specialty coffee article about best Roman caffes, and he proceeded to write down 5 more that he recommended! I mentioned that I had tried and failed to get into the resto, and he blew me away with his 150% xtra hospitality!! He left his post, inquired down the street, and returned with a counter spot for me at 7 that night!!!! Alessandro(?) Grazie Mille-you’re a true gem. I also needed to find a bike shop to fill my tires with air and the other adorable fellow zoomed in on his phone (my phone didn’t have wifi) and showed me the exact spot!! This is a world class spot in the bustling Campo dei Fiori district. Well run, a legacy group, serving great caffe, and good pastries+panino. But as always, it’s the warmth of the staff that make it incredible. Grazie 🏛️🇮🇹🫶🙏

A great variety of Italian sandwiches and pastries. Something for everyone. Crisp breads and quick service. We enjoyed a great breakfast on the go.

As the reviews suggest, the restaurant is booked up most of the time. Roscioli caffe is the place to go if you’re looking to pick up and go. There aren’t any seats around as many places in Italy. However, you will enjoy of their wonderful one of a kind bread & pizza texture.

Absolute best! Everything tasted amazing.. best way to start your day! Macchiato and fresh maritozzo (this is a must try here!) with a few more viennoiseries (apricot Cornetti, cannoli, fruit custard biscotti)

Try the ricotta sour cherry tart if you're in the area. Even though it's sold by weight, the lady at the counter wouldn't cut anything smaller than what is pictured below and it came out to around 5 euros. It sounds and looks heavy, but the tart is actually quite light and not too sweet. The fluffy, rich, and slightly sweet ricotta is balanced out by the sour cherry base. There are a couple public benches across the street to sit on while enjoying your treat which is a nice bonus!

Great place for a sweet treat. Sold by the weight, an average slices of about €4. Don't worry if they have sold out of ricotta and cherry. The other offerings are great too!

Essential stop in Rome for traditional Jewish bakes. Cherry Ricotta Tart is the most popular here but the Pizza Ebraica and Soft Almond Amaretti deserve more praise. If you catch the Pizza Ebraica warm from the oven (usually on Friday mornings) you hit the jackpot. The nonnas behind the counter are understandably a little curt because of language barriers but still very welcoming. Be polite, ask or point to what you want, and don’t linger too long. Go earlier in the day when things are still fresh.

After 20 minutes waiting for ordering, we ordered two pieces of ricotta with cherry and chocolate, which is more delicious with cherry. They are so slow and the atmosphere was not that very kind and catchy. It is worth to try one. But I ate a better one somewhere else in Rome.

Arrived around 11:15 on a Friday. It’s best to get here early as there was a que down the road when I had left also they run out of food later on the day. On a Friday they close early and aren’t open on Saturday engaging Sabbath. One downside they had some burnt ‘pizza’ I wasn’t going to buy it but the old lady went to the back and brought out a freshly baked one that wasn’t burnt and the younger lady started telling her off for it saying they had to sell the burnt ones first… Other than this good experience and lovely food. The shop is very small and no outdoor seating.

A traditional Italian kosher bakery that sells excellent cakes and biscuits. I highly recommend their apple strudel and almond cake with apricot jam as well as their ricotta and chocolate cake. Their biscuits (shown in the photos) are also good.

Cherry tart was delicious. It is 34 euro tho. There is no small one. Made that mistake!

Beautiful pasticceria, amazing selection and presentation and great coffee. We also took a selection of cakes for my wife's birthday which were all delicious 😋 well worth a visit

We stopped by for a coffee and a sweet treat! There were lots of small treats to choose from here but I enjoyed a Aragostine filled with cream and that was amazing with a shot of espresso. If you are in the neighbourhood, it is worth stopping by here!

There’s no chance of eating anything tasteless here! The croissants are especially legendary. If you’ve just arrived in the city and want to try truly spot on local desserts, this is definitely the place to come!

Lovely pastry shop surprise! Was looking for Gelato and came across this right opposite my hotel. Beautiful pastries, lovely flavors and great coffee. Ordered a barberini. Espresso and shakerato. Good stuff but sadly they tried to overcharge me. They said barberini was EUR 10 (changed later to 8) and the shakerato was EUR 5 instead of only 2.90 (big size it seems, though size was never asked). Apart from this pricing issue, place to sit and enjoy. Really friendly service and good music. Plan to visit again.

We found this bakery by accident, we wish we could have found it earlier as it was amazing. There is a queue usually but it goes by fast as the service is very good and helpful. All the pastries we tried were very very tasty, that’s why we visited the place twice. The cappuccino and espresso are also very good. The area inside is small but you might be able to find a table to sit as customers rotate quickly.

Such a great find for all of your staples to a Perfect lunch, breakfast, or snack in Rome. It’s off the beaten track, but still a bit crowded and difficult to manage getting a seat. The ingredients all tasted fresh and were incredibly satisfying. The staff was also very friendly. I’ll be back of course.

great cappuccinos and desserts - I got a mini cheesecake that was truly delicious!! that being said, the man who served us clearly didn’t like tourists and was not patient, becoming irritated when we ordered for some reason (we tried to be as polite as possible so we didn’t get any savoury items, fearing we might upset him further). Otherwise there is limited seating and the decor is lovely - prices were reasonable, so I’d recommend if you want something quick and sweet :)

Followed people in suits stopping here for lunch. Feels local, employees dont speak much English. Delicious thin pizza and the tomatoes on the veggie slices were delicious! 2 euros for my slices and bottle of water! They did not mind me sitting here for an hour, eating while charging my phone. They have a toilette as well!

Really small tables even one tray barely fits, uncomfortable seats. All this made for This is done so that people don't stay too long. They just eat and leave. I ordered two different pizzas and different beverages. Pizzas look tasty, but unfortunately it was preliminary. Also they added wrong extra beverage to our order. I will never come back

Had the absolute best pistachio cornetto and fresh orange juice here — everything is delicious! It’s definitely busy, so expect a wait for a table, but it’s worth it. If you’re lucky, you might snag a little chair outside, which is perfect for enjoying your food while soaking in the atmosphere and people-watching. Highly recommend!

A great spot to grab some baking and coffee. We had cappuccinos along with crossiants. The cappuccinos tasted great, which I find can be hit or miss olay other locations. The chocolate and pistachio crossiants were delicious and fresh with good flakiness. Highly recommend this location.

We needed a quick bite and we’re so impressed by the delicious selection and quick service. The tea sandwiches that we ordered were not your typical boring flavors (for example we got a curried egg salad with zucchini). Aside from the savory offerings there were beautiful artistically displayed pastries galore as well as bottles of wine for sale and to enjoy there. I highly recommend this spot.

Exclusive Cafe. Located far from the center of Rome but worth the ride. Unique pastries and even the cornetto made in a special (good) way. Kind service (eventhough can be time wise improved). Prices more than standard but regarding the products it's reasonable.

This is a must visit place in Rome ahead with the Colosseum and the Pantheon etc. Located a bit far from the center (1hour away walking) with most likely one of the best service you will encounter in Rome despite not all of the staff are speaking fluently english. I ended up here by accident and initially stopped here only to have a pastry but after trying the first one I ordered two more, one spritz and with it came a few more savory pastries (offered by the owner). Everything here is fresh, well researched and thought. The combinations of different ingredients and the design created are unique. A very nice surprise - highly recommended!

Ordered the almond, pistachio, chocolate and hazelnut scoop of ice cream. All vegan, all tasted amazing. It’s really refreshing to see no artificial flavourings and colourings. These colours are normal, but the flavours were REAL, it is what you want from an ice cream. Definitely one of the best ice cream spots in Italy. I also ordered a coconut/pineapple/date shake too. Really refreshing.

We visited Grezzo Raw Chocolate and tried their ice cream and a hazelnut dessert called “Emblema.” The ice cream was really nice, smooth and rich in flavour. On the other hand, the hazelnut dessert was a bit too intense for me. The hazelnut taste was very strong, and after a few bites, it became overwhelming. Still, it's a good spot if you enjoy vegan, raw, rich desserts and want to try something different.

Grezzo was such a nice little shop! My husband and I both had the mandorla con café (with their own espresso in the flavor). It was incredible, so creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The woman working was so helpful when it came to picking out truffles to take with us. The chocolate was rich, decadent and the perfect amount of sweetness. We only wish we discovered this place before our last day in Rome. 1000/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet ice cream shop in a beautiful Piazza.

I ordered quick pizza before going on a tour. The pizza was great price (6 euros) but personally not my favorite. It was thin crust and super crunchy (almost like a cracker). The sauce didn’t seem fresh. Pastries looked good! But I didn’t get a chance to try.

My Italian teacher recommended this place so I could try suppli for the first time. This place was fantastic! The suppli was delicious! All the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I even saw my teacher buying there while I was eating. I will definitely continue to go, and I highly recommend it.

We have found this lovely place accidentally (as this was the only outlet open at 8 in the morning). However it turned out a fortunate choice as everything was amazing. They also sell cakes and savoury pastries, but we could not try it unfortunately. If you are in the area, it worth a stop:)

Lovely café with great coffee and a good sandwich. The outdoor seating area is really nice, perfect for enjoying the sun while having a relaxed meal. My iced latte was the best I have ever had, as someone who usually gets them with a flavor in the U.S., this one tasted amazing without any syrups or sugar added. They also had oat milk which was great! I was also blown away by how delicious the tomato toast was, at first I was skeptical but felt like trying something new and I was not disappointed! The basil oil/pesto spread at the bottom and drizzled on top complimented the cherry tomatoes so well, I would highly recommend!

We came based on a recommendation of our tour guide from our visit to the Vatican. She said she and her husband come often. We can see why. Very friendly. The waiter explained the menu for us. The wine they suggested was outstanding as was the food. We are sending this place to all of our friends planning a visit.

I live in Rome for 2 year now and for me this is the best bread i had so far in Rome! Started with a focaccia and two pizza, sone sea bass chicken, octopus and the highlight of our night was the pull pork bun 😲😲 it was to die for! Not a huge fan of the sweets very basic. Highly recommended for morning coffee and pastries in the morning ❤️ A bit pricey !

Quirky, funky, brunchy! If you are looking for a breakfast/brunch place look no further! Just off the main drag to St Peters Basilica. We were delighted to find this wee gem. This is refreshingly different! Try their homemade sourdough it is AMAZING. We had toasties and beef with salsa Verde, all excellent. You won't believe how inexpensive it is! Beautiful place, but disappointing experience Tulipane is such a lovely spot — beautiful interiors, delicious food, and a concept I genuinely want to support. I really appreciate small businesses, especially in Rome, and I was excited to visit again. However, I didn’t quite understand the attitude of having so few pastries in the morning and not baking more. Not only I, but several other people came in looking for pastries, and they were almost gone already… such a pity, because it’s still Rome — everyone wants their cornetto for breakfast! Also, some of the staff were surprisingly arrogant and not very welcoming, which really took away from the experience. It’s a bit strange too that they don’t offer decaf coffee, even though they say they specialize in high-quality coffee. I truly hope they improve, because the place itself has great potential.

From the beginning, millions of thanks to the chef. He made a super clam pasta. For the service I think my experience was not that much pleasant. First, I waited for more than 15 min before I stepped inside the restaurant and called someone to take my order. Then, they forgot to add the pasta and they added it later adding more wait time. They also didn't serve compimentary bread and olive oil. I would come back for the food taste and would give them my immediate comment if they provide poor service.

We tried 4 items: Tiramisu Classique, Mont Blanc, Cannoli, and café crema. 1. Tiramisu was good, classic. 2. Mont Blanc was the worst I've had in this life time. This should not be sold, it is disgraceful how bad it was. 3. Cannoli was not good. The filling flavor was off and it was poorly filled. Only the ends had ricotta, the entire center was empty. 4. The café crema was too sweet, not enjoyable. In the 14 days I've been in Italy, I've been in Venice, Florence, Chianti, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Rome. This place was the worst and the only place I felt like my money was wasted. Do not go here.

We come here with friends sometimes, mostly for the tiramisu. Even though you can find better tiramisu in Rome, this location has a nice atmosphere and it’s a good place to sit. The classic tiramisu is good enough and well-balanced. We also tried the gelato once, but it felt too touristy and colorful, not really my taste. Service is average. They ask for payment at the table before the dessert arrives. We ordered tea with it, which went really well. Parking is a big problem around here, since it’s close to Re di Roma square and the area is always busy. Still, it’s a nice spot to meet up and chat and don’t expect high quality

Definitely recommend to visit Pompi in via Albalonga! This location is a sit-down place with service. We visited twice during our short stay in Rome. The selection of cakes is great and everything we tried tasted amazing. The staff was very friendly and even remembered us :)

Some staff are nice but the rest are not..typical italian customer service. Luckily their tiramisu is above good, otherwise nothing special here. The ambience is okay.

The tiramisu is refreshing and fluffy, croissants are one of the best I've had. The waiters are nice and welcoming, one of them even saved our water bottle when we forgot it so he could give it back to us tomorrow. They are patient and supportive if you try and practice speaking italian with them, especially the guys that work behind the bar!

There is something not quite right about the pistachio cannolo. The pastry that encases the filling curves in quickly from the middle, clearly too little pastry relative to the amount of filling, and the filling was very underwhelming - not quite sure how best to describe it but it was thin and not as creamy as past cannoli I’ve had - like very diluted ricotta cheese filling. It was also evident when some filling got onto the paper, you can see how translucent it is. True cannolo filling will be thick, and creamy, not translucent. Regretted getting the large one. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t come back again. But if you really want a cannolo in Rome, perhaps best to get a small one to sample first.

We discovered this lovely little café near our hotel in Rome, and it quickly became our go-to breakfast spot every morning. The ricotta-filled cornetto was absolutely incredible. A good try, they're most known for their cannoli, so we were set on ordering it. I never had a cannoli, so I was glad to give them a try here. They have a limited seating area but I was able to snag a free table. We got three small cannolis to share: ricotta, limone, and pistachio. We enjoyed the limone the most, followed by the ricotta. Whenever in Rome I always come to this little pastry shop, as I love cannoli and they have several sweets which are worth trying. You order at the counter, pay, and then you can sit in one of the two rooms they have. The place is not crowded with tables, so you can relax for a bit without being bothered. Their coffee is ok, while the cannolis were delicious. I had two small ones, one with orange and the other one with lemon cream. Crispy, tangy and with much filling. Staff were very friendly and pleasant, prices quite honest. Overall a great find.

They mistake my order and bring me a small beer instead of a pint It's been fixed by bringing me the same beer diluted with water. Yeah, I've noticed the colour has changed. terrible food, the sponge of my tiramisu tasted like cardboard and the bottom was incredibly liquidy, and had a strange taste. worst of all there was a piece of METAL wire in it!!! had to spit it out of my mouth. ice cream didn’t taste good either, coffee was okay.

Delicious sandwiches (panini), the one with panchetta and veggies was supreme! They have lots of pizza or focaccia slices to choose from, which they heat up for you, if you'd like. I can recommend getting the food to eat inhouse, they have lots of bar seating and an interesting space (they display cooking essentials, an old motorcycle and lots of vintage weighing scales). It gets busy at lunchtime (as locals know how good La Renella is!!!) but the food is well worth a short (5-10 min) wait - as then you have time to choose from their large selection.

We visited La Renella as part of a Trastevere food tour. This place was amazing! We tasted a small pork sandwich, which was like nothing we had ever tasted. The pork is slow-cooked and incredibly tender. They also had a huge variety of pizzas and they were super busy with patrons all order different items. This place is a great little gem and not be missed. It was fantastic!

🍕🍕🍕Every tourist wants to know “where the locals go” well look no further than La Renella!! Just across the Arno River in hustling Trastevere, Rome, La Renella is serving up oven (forno) favorites. When we visited, locals were purchasing large quantities of bread for tomorrow and a food guide was ordering various samples for their clients. NO LESS THAN 15 PIZZA OPTIONS!! Tomato, Prosciutto, Mortadella, Margherita, Caprese, Marinara with parsley, anchovies, you name it, there’s something for everyone. We didn’t leave a crumb! Everything was delicious but my favorite was the prosciutto which had the edges crisped after the oven reheat. ⭐️ Pro Tip: Figure out what you want and then be bold and order. Staff will use scissors to cut the size you want. You can have a small slice or as much as you want - just tell them how much you would like. Slices are weighed for your final cost. They asked me if we wanted them heated up. I said yes. 🍕🥐🍕🍞🍕🍪 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve been eating our way through Rome’s pizza… and this is the place we keep coming back to. The staff are friendly, the pizza delicious, and very reasonably priced at that. Lots of culinary tours seem to stop here, and it’s easy to see why.

Brisk service, excellent pizza. Know what you will order when it’s your turn. The counter for eating is very long so you’re more likely to get a seat here than another by the slice pizza place.

We came here to have a sandwich. I do not know what it is called, but it is pork meat. The pork has a nice saltiness. It was much better than eating ham. Also, the food tour guy mentioned that the price is set by weight. I love their old-school style, casual, and simple vibe. I would highly recommend this place for a quick casual bite.

I come here a couple of times a week, and it’s always amazing. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the pastries are great. The staff are super friendly and make the place feel welcoming every single time. You can tell they care about what they do — everything’s done with love and attention to detail. Easily one of the best spots, and best priced spots in Rome for a quick lunch or a treat!

Well known pastry shop. Usually crowded. Excellent food quality, vast assortment of cakes and sweet and ice cream, very expensive. Popular neighborhood place where young and older clients visit. Outdoor seating.

Ice cream is great but service is horrible!! I felt mistreated, i asked which ice cream doesn’t contain gluten itself contamination is not a problem and the answer was i don’t know, al contain with an angry face. Well who knows then if even angry woman who serves ice cream doesn’t??

This is our local and favorite place for a top quality cornetto (get the mandorla!) and cappuccino. Prices are a bit more than other bars, but the quality is worth it! They are also open every day, even Ferragosto. Check out their desserts and gelato in the evening, too!

Amazing Ice Cream. Although more modern Ice cream places are filling Rome, this place gives you an amazing feel of how Italian ice cream used to be 10 years ago. Been going here since I was 3 years old.

Everything about this place is awesome! Amazingly friendly service, delicious savory and sweet treats – what more can you ask for? The pictures speak for themselves! Small amount of seating inside and outside. Clean interior and simple, fun decor. Location has ample parking near the train tracks and if you are traveling with children, there even happens to be a nice little park around the side of the building. We were so pleased to find this out as we are traveling with our three-year-old daughter and a post-lunch park playdate is exactly what she needed!

Delicious! And 100% vegan and organic. The pastries are fantastic - try the bombolone - and the coconut cake was 🔥. The only challenge is the location. You’ll need to take the metro to get here. But it’s SO worth making the trip. The staff are wonderful, and the place is nice and quaint.

Edit after a reply from the business: I made a special trip to this location during my brief time in Rome after my Umbria visit, before heading to the airport. Despite checking Google Maps, Happy Cow, Apple Maps, and the business's website, there was no indication of a temporary closure. I wasn't able to sample their food, and the absence of communication alone justifies a 1* rating. Furthermore, the business's unreasonable response adds to my disappointment. It's unrealistic to expect a higher rating under these circumstances.

It was a little out of the way from the main city, but took an extra bus to get here and had a delicious chocolate croissant and Smoothie for breakfast one day. They had so many baked goods and loved that everything was vegan! The owners/staff were so kind and appreciative of us visiting. I wish I didnt get so full to have room for more! Definitely recommend making a stop for specialty vegan baked goods you can't really find anywhere else!

We went out for Breakfast at Wani's. We found it online through Google maps and really liked the photos. The Backed goods where really great in taste and look. The service was good, but could be improved so is the coffee. For me it wasn't hot enough but that's personal opinion. Everything looked awesome but we chose "Cornetto alla crema" and "Maritozzo".

We came all the way here to find a decent vegan cappuccino cornetto in Rome. The place is very small with uncomfortable seating, loud music and had an extremely bad smell of cleaning supplies, which made me leave after five minutes. We had to clean the table ourselves since the service seemed uninterested in actually serving us. cappuccino was terrible (like cleaning water). The prices were completely out of proportion. The bomba with cream was nice though, so that's the second star.

AMAZING! VEGAN OR NOT - YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. Delicious vegan treats, italian specialties, juices, coffee and just a whole lot of great food. Even the staff is adorable (and speaks English very well!).

One of the first stops on tasting tour. The slices of pizza were probably the best tastes of pizza I have in my life!! The flavors of the tomato with a hint of hot oil was so flavorful, my tastebuds could not believe the flavor!!

This is the type of food experience i travel for. Authentic, traditional, like a time capsule. I was the only tourist and you could tell everyone else was a local regular. You can get your breakfast lunch and dinner here. I had some fried salted cod and a scrumptious pastry with a croissant like flaky dough, almost square-shaped, dusted with powdered sugar and filled with a fruity nutty mix and raisins. I wish i knew the name. Super kind staff

Dropped in spontaneously while waiting for the catacombs to open for the afternoon, and were surprised to have one of the best meals of our trip (and we had already had some great ones). The polpette in cacio e Pepe was a revelation, and the fried anchovies with citrus mayonnaise were great, too. Our waiter (who my have been the owner) was warm and friendly. The dining room is bright and cheerful.

We had lunch and dinner on the same day. Host Simon was jovial and helped us make the choices. All we had was delicious. Desserts Tiramisu and Cheesecake were the highlights.

Food was exceptionally great with reasonably priced. Pizzas are yum! Ragu Fettuccine was a good choice for our son. We loved the way Simone (who is at the front) greeted us and added a touch of home. He is very thoughtful and attentive!!

Our host was charming and welcomed us in as he was preparing to open. The pasta dishes and tiramusu were great. It was a really good find.

The suppli were amazing as was the saltimbocca and vegetables that followed. Lovely, friendly service. We got here for lunch just before a big tour group thank goodness.

Pretty tasty specialty - the Sorchetta con Cioccolato. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. All of their treats looked quite good.

I took a electric scooter at 3am so I can experience this late night pastry. Ohhh was I disappointed. Let’s just say I took a bite of the creamed cornetto and the chocolate cake, it all went straight to the trash. It’s so bad that this experience is good!

We had “breakfast” at Monica’s twice this past week, staff and service were very good. English isn’t readily spoken; but understood well enough to get orders done. The pastries and caffès were good and tasty, their table service was quick and polite. A good place to start your day from.

Had lunch on a Sunday (around 2:00pm). Ordered Parmigiana di melanzane alla siciliana, (Eggplant Parmesan)and a anacini di riso (a rice ball coated breadcrumbs and deep fried. The parmigiana was nice but too salty to my taste. The arancini was delicious, crispy from the outside and filled with meat, cheese, tomatoes and rice. For dessert I had cannolino which is a small cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cheese, and a cappuccino. The dessert are the reason this place is so popular. Such a beautiful variety of sweets. Service was okay, not as personal as one expect, perhaps because the place was very busy. Was difficult to find a table to seat.... I will certainly be back to explore more of these beautiful desserts.

Great variety of Arancini and pastries. Very good flavor both on salty and sweet food - Not the best, but still very good. A little on the expensive side but worth it (the arancini are huge). Nice seating area outside.

This place was close to our hotel and open late so we visited few times. Most of the staff doesn't speak English and it was struggle to place an order as you have to pay first then get your food. So I had to take a photo of the pastries so I can order. Cashier was rude and serious, no smile. Coffee was great. We tried several pastries including cannolino, savoia piccola and we didn't like them. Cornetto vuoto was ok but our favorite was arancino ragu.

Staff is friendly and the food is amazing. It doesn’t even stop! Highly recommended. The whole picture costs 11,80€. P.S: Try out the triangle thing in the pic!

Wonderful Experience at Babington’s! We had the best time at Babington’s Tea Room with friends, and a big part of that was thanks to Nicole! Her service was truly exceptional warm, attentive, and so welcoming. She made us feel right at home. The cakes were delicious, the ice tea was perfect and the cocktails the whole atmosphere was just lovely. Nicole really made our visit special. Highly recommend!

A lovely tea shop with a very nice design. They offer a wide variety of teas and desserts. When I asked the lady at the counter, she told me the desserts were halal. I was too full to try them, but it could be a nice tea time option for Muslims looking for halal. Still, I recommend asking again before ordering.

While I was only able to stop for a “to go” tea since we were sight seeing, I’ll give my thoughts on my time waiting in the cafe area. The service is very nice and I was able to get my tea quickly. They even took my tea bag out at the appropriate time before I left the shop so I could enjoy the peak flavor while drinking it. They have tons of options of tea, and food. There’s tea you can buy inside the shop, but don’t rush! Go and enjoy the journey of the tea. If I am back in this area I would absolutely stop in for a proper tea time. The atmosphere was very authentic and quiet, even considering its location next to the steps. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. What an awesome place even if you’re not a tea lover, they have other beverages as well.

Has a crush on this tea shop! Really beautiful and tasty cakes , good tea, coffee was good too. Tiramisu was so airy with nice coffee , cream was also tasty. The atmosphere and decoration are very relaxing and elegant ! The staff is so nice , educated and smiling ! Really nice uniform too! I really recommended this place . Wish there would be a place like this in Paris !!

Great high tea (and coffee) near the Spanish Steps! I saw Babington’s many times as I made my way back and forth across the metropolis of Rome. After dinner one night I was craving something sweet and swooped into this lovely tea room. Even though it was near closing they still took my partner and I for a quick dessert. Could not have been happier with the torte. Light and rich at the same time and tons of great flavor thanks to the strawberries! Id highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an upscale breakfast, sweet treat, or high tea as you shop to your hearts content.

It's just an expensive coffee shop with a lot teas from black tea, herbal, to fruits. Also, special teas from China and Japan. Lovely place and beautiful service. But honestly, it doesn't deserve that expensive price for cup of tea or coffee.

The location could not be better. We sat literally at the foot of the Spanish steps and enjoyed the view while having our breakfast. The food served was of good quality though the coffee was already lukewarm when we received it. I would recommend this place anyways

Great bar and forno!!! The service was very warm and the people as well. Not a tourist trap, as locals prefer it too.. amazing cappuccino,pistachio cornetto and mortadella sandwitch :) it also provides food for lunch at reasonable prices.. The man there ever gave us a tote bag for free, cause we got there very often.. thank you for adding more flavor to our vacation🫶🏼

We were in Rome for a holiday, and we tried to choose as a tourist a "tipical" italian place/bakery where we can get a "tipical" italian breakfast. What can I say.... Everything was delicious, this place is amazing and totally recommended. Staff are very kind and helpful. There were other breakfast places closer to our accommodation, but after our first morning here, we decided to come back for a second time. As tourists, it was a bonus for us to get a glimpse of how Italians have their breakfast (i.e., a quick cornetto at the counter while waiting for the espresso to brew) 😁 (On the second day, we went a little later (around 10:00-11:00 a.m.), by which time most of the pastries had been replaced by lunch items on the counter (as can be seen in the photos))

We went in not sure what to order, and the staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They had us try a few traditional Roman bites and even picked out the perfect dishes so we could get a real taste of Rome. Everything was delicious, the prices were great, and the atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for — warm, local, and full of charm. Such a wonderful experience all around!

Overall impression: Traditional Italian bakery which offer a wide choice of speciality. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a local breakfast. Only thing missing is a better location with a sunny terrace

Bakery Roscioli Pietro is a true Roman gem. The food is authentic Italian home cooking at its finest—simple, flavourful. My family and I looked forward to stopping by daily during our stay in Rome. The friendly staff make the experience even better. Easily the best food we had in the city. Grazie a tutti, ci vediamo al mio prossimo viaggio a Roma.

Food was so good (i got pizza and a canoli). Really does seem like a legit Italian bakery and not a touristy scam. Overall, staff were helpful, but one in specific who works at the cashier was inconvenient.

This is still an amazing place. We purchased desserts from here two years ago and had to go again this year. We were initially confused about the location but found out that they had moved. All of the desserts we purchased on two different days were all good. If we come back to Rome again we will come back.

We were truly blessed to be staying so close to this place. We had breakfast every morning and were always greeted with a friendly good morning by the amazing ladies in the shop. It was a big group of us but they were always attentive to our order and had an amazing selection to pick from.

A vast selection of incredible Italian pastries, all at a very reasonable price. An authentic pasticceria run by locals, highly recommended.

I was asked to submit a review which I was already planning to :). The ladies, at least that's what I saw during my visits, were always friendly. They was patient with our lack of Italian and knowledge on "how to order" here. Within one order I was an expert and ordering like local, esp due to such welcoming gesture. The pastries options were plentiful and at very reasonable prices. I had to double check my receipt to ensure all the items were captured. This bakery is an institution in Rome, they provide the best range of products between sweets and savory. I keep buying from this bakery for the past 30 years and their cakes with fresh cream remind me of early childhood. We came here almost every day during our week-long vacation in Rome. The staff were welcoming, friendly, professional, and attentive. The pastries were excellent! The cappuccino could be better — the milk froth wasn’t among the best I’ve had.

This little pastry/breakfast/ coffee shop was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, Veruska for breakfast. And she could not have been more accurate for a great place to eat. We started our days at this quaint little spot with cappuccinos or lattes, and even the occasional Americano. I don’t even know what we had for breakfast most days, but it was usually some type of a pastry, filled with meat and cheese, and it was always a wonderful breakfast. Not a traditional North American breakfast to be sure, but we loved it. We also stopped in for some pastries, such as cannolis, and even the pastry filled “hotdog” were fantastic for a quick bite while walking around the Testaccio neighborhood we stayed in during our stay in Rome. It took us very little time to figure out how to order and pay, but basically we just followed the locals and how they did things. Sometimes finding a spot to sit would be challenging but a couple mornings we would just walk over to nearby Piazza Testaccio and enjoyed our breakfast sitting on a park bench. Loved this local bakery! It has an incredible variety of pastries and other delights, and it's so fun to see the hustle and bustle of daily Italian life in the morning, with people rushing in for their espresso and croissants.

Stopped into Linari for an espresso and maritozzo at the bar. The coffee was smooth, and the maritozzo was fresh and light, classic Roman start to the day. Solid local spot with a nice buzz.
