Came here too Lecce and saw this pizza place right outside our door when looking for something on Google. The reviews seem to think this pizza place is amazing. Without a doubt as I sit here after trying a few types of what they offer. I can agree that the pizza here is amazing. I just said to my partner, I actually think its the best I've had. The crust for me makes the pizza and the crust on their pizzas amazing. The toppings are also amazing. Its a simple place, you go in and order what you want. Get a drink if you want to and go sit outside and its ready for you by the time you sit down. No fuss, just good honest pizza. Well worth trying while in lecce. It's worth even coming here to try it.

The best sandwich in the city. Freshly made and very high quality food! The portions are big too and they have a good selection of cold beer. Relaxed vibe, first come first served for the bar stools.

I can't believe how nice the food is. Absolutely amazing for something so simple. I will return to Leece just to go to this place. I have a rule not to go back to a place on the same holiday but I ate here 4 times in 6 days. Can't remember anywhere else that made me so happy. The best pizza in Lecce without a doubt. Walk in and pick from a selection of amazing pizzas that are already on display (recently cooked and often off menu creations) or order what you want and enjoy watching the pizza be made whilst chatting with the lovely chef and staff. Walking through the city we find this old Trattoria. It is a fantastic ideal place to enjoy and taste the food of the Puglia region, especially from the south where the city of milk is. The walls are so full of photos of very famous people from abroad and nationals who have passed through the city and I liked the magnificent food made by the cook who owns the place. A meeting place for families in the city is an ideal place to taste the simple rich and brief regional food.

Really cute restaurant all indoors very small menu you felt like you were in your grandmother‘s house. One of the grandmothers was our waitress. She may have been cooking in the kitchen too with her friend or her sister not sure but really cute family run restaurant food was very good not exceptional, but definitely worth trying. Their eggplant. Parmesan was absolutely incredible. Their meatballs were delicious but very gamie. Not sure if there were horse meatballs their chickpea pasta was Very interesting and we’re trying.

Family own restaurant. It seems quite famous because even Richard Gere visited it. Very nice ambience. Cool decoration. Food was excellent. I wanted to try something different and got the dish with potatoes and mussels…so good! The pastichiotto cake is a must!

If you’re looking for traditional Puglian food here it is. Every dish was delicious. Also very reasonably priced 3 person €88 Standouts was the layered mussel courgette potato’s, chickpea pasta and the stuffed squid we had many more dishes but these was our favs everything else was still very tasty! The staff are exceptionally warm and even though our Waitrose spoke very little English we managed to understand each other and shared some jokes. A 10/10 experience

We came on the recommendation of a friend who had been there previously and thank goodness we did!! The food was exquisite, really nice and light - the only time we've ordered an antipasto, primo AND secondo on our trip (plus dessert). I will dream about the roasted peppers in the antipasto forever. The service was wonderful, makes you feel at home and it doesn't feel rushed at all. You have to make a reservation! The 7:30pm shift fills up quickly, we got a table for 9:30pm and were there until around 11:15. It's definitely worth a visit.

The best local experience you will have in Lecce! It’s mandatory to make a reservation over the phone before you go (they are always busy) but it’s easy to get a table with just one day in advance. We booked for dinner, 9:30pm and had a lovely surprise by arriving there and getting in what looked like the dining room of a local family hosting dinner for us (and other 15 tables 😂). The service was great and the food event better. All very carefully prepared and delicious! Highly recommend it to everyone in this area!

Food is good and reasonably priced... however they don't provide a good service. I asked for the wifi password and was told a simple "NO"... I asked for a bathroom to wash my hands, and the reply was also "NO". I wanted to purchase another bottle of water and they just decided to close the place. There are plenty of other places around.

We came in and server told us they were closed even though the sign on the door said they were open and also the hours on google maps.

Bad bread, a bit overpriced, and they don’t add rocket when the menu says. Instead it’s a few tiny bits of lettuce. Even though I was starving, it tasted like nothing. With all these delicious Italian meats and cheeses available to use, this place should be so much better than what it is.

Very bad experience here : We entered having the idea of taking a salad. They didn't gave us neither a smile, a 'hello' or some indications concerning the process... We found a paper to compose our own salad, without any prices indication on it (we found out later that they were on the Italian version only). We then waited without any indication until they decided to take our order. Five minutes later we had a salad where the tomatoes were forgotten, where the products were not really good (examples the black olivas are full industrial), not enough sauce (oil and vinegar are in sachets on the side)... A good example of where assembly line work (bad service and products mainstream) degrades a cool concept! Extra : it was expensive ! 12,5€ for a salad

We’ve tried a few other famous places and this one was our favorite. It’s served cold, flaky on the edges but soft in the middle, and the custard isn’t too sweet. The others we had were either too crumbly or nauseating sweet. We regret not getting more or trying the chocolate one!!

Found this nice eatery that sells fish and chips. We ordered the salmon burger, fish and chips and the fried squid. The fish is fresh and nicely cooked with a good crisp. We enjoyed the way the fries were cooked. The squids are also very tasty and fragrant. The burger comes with some raw salmon, chopped tomatoes,some greens and sauce, pretty big burger. A visit to Pescaria in Polignano a Mare is a truly unique experience, but one that is absolutely worth it. The food is fantastic, and the prices are surprisingly great for the quality of seafood you get. However, you should be prepared for the process. It's a very busy place, and first, you have to stand in a line to pay for your meal. Only after you've paid do you get to sit down and wait for your order. It's a system, and while it's efficient, it can feel a bit chaotic. And while the food is amazing, some of the staff can be a bit rude, which is a shame, but it might just be a part of the fast-paced, high-volume environment. The food, though, is the real star. The salmon and tuna panini are absolutely delicious—the fish is so fresh and flavorful. The fish and chips are also fantastic, a perfect Apulian take on a classic. For the great price you pay, it’s an incredible value. In the end, it's a worthwhile trade-off. You might have to deal with a strange ordering process and some less-than-friendly staff, but the food is excellent and the prices are more than fair. It's a place you go to for the delicious seafood, and that's exactly what you get.

Fantastic place for fish & oysters lovers who want to have crackers or panini gluten-free too. The place is spacious inside and outside and provides all sorts of fresh fish for a reasonable deal. Except Prosecco and wine is not served per glas, per bottle only. For me as single traveler a bit challenging and I would love to have some sparkling wine to the lemon squeeze of the oysters. Service is also highly kind and attentive. I definitely recommend this place!

This delicious and convenient fresh fish shop was recommended to me by a colleague and I am so lucky I was able to go! We enjoyed a raw octopus salad and a box of soft battered and fried white fish and polenta. Everything was absolutely delicious. It’s a busy location, so I recommend arriving before or after peak lunch hour. However we were able to share our table with a group of travelers and had a great conversation about the beautiful city and food. We shared food, stories, and vibes. Great place all around!

We visited Pescaria for the first time today and it did not disappoint! I will be dreaming about this polpo fritto panino and crunchy chips for a long time 🤤. We went before dinner and did not have to wait at all. Karim was very kind and made sure we were enjoying our visit!

Overall we liked the place. We ordered fresh fish (catch of the day wild catch not farmed, grilled octopus and seafare). All was fresh and tasty. How italians say simple but good. We were kind of surprised that we had order certain amount of dishes. For three of us we had to buy two appetizers and three main dishes. Service was fast and easygoing.

It’s a little bit pricey but once you taste it, you will know why. Quality is unmatched and this is a definite must see for anyone looking for a quick bite in Bari.

It’s always full of people, which could suggest that the seafood (shrimps, squid, octopus) might be fresh — though honestly, I suspect it’s refrigerated before frying rather than truly fresh. My real disappointment, though, is with the dish itself. The plate is divided into two: one half is squid only, while the other half is a mix of shrimp and octopus together. Why are the proportions not balanced? Why do squid (the cheapest ingredient) make up half the plate, while shrimp and octopus are lumped together in the other half? To me, this feels a bit dishonest. On top of that, there were no toilet facilities, and while we were eating, the vendor’s father was cleaning the tables behind us with a chemical product — not exactly pleasant during a meal. Overall, not terrible, but not a place I’d go back to.

We love fresh Octopus, and have had excellent dishes served in Crete, Croatia, and Allonisos. Whilst researching the food scene of Puglia, we were pleased to discover that Bari was famed for Polpo. On our day walking around the old town, we navigated the narrow streets to find 'La Tana del Polpo' based on the strength of the reviews. What can we say....totally deserved. We opted for the takeaway, and were able to eat in the lovely air-conditioned eating room. The menu was beautifully displayed, and unlike a number of ubiquitous fast food outlets which shall not be named, photos do justice and reflect fairly what lands on the plate. Simple, delicious, very good value, and delightful staff behind the counter.

Unfortunately, this was our least favourite Puccia in Lecce - and we’ve tried three others. The bread was good but the fillings/ingredients used were ok. Staff were excellent though!

A must try while in Lecce. The "puccia" is a Puglia classic and this may be one of the most popular places where to try it. The bread was perfect. I had the horse meat puccia and it was outstanding. I enjoyed every single bite of it. My girlfriend had the meatball one and it was really good too. Super filling lunch for just 8 EUR, and high quality ingredients. Also the staff is amazing: super kind and they transmit really good vibes!

The location was absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed excellent drinks while watching the sunset. However, the service felt a bit slow and disengaged—it took quite a while to place our order, and when we wanted to pay, we waited a long time before being told we needed to go to the cashier. Prices are on the higher side, but I believe this is due to the prime location.

Location was 5star! But everything else was extremely disappointing. The staff served 2 other parties who arrived after us- so they clearly were not paying attention to the service area. The drinks were reasonably priced. But the food was terrible! So bad that the local cat who was begging at the tables refused the tuna I gave him. The Tuna was awful- the worst iv ever had. The portions of the other dishes were small and not one dish was impressive or tasty. A lot of the clients seemed more interested in taking pictures than the poor quality food and service.

Exceptional place !!! We had a bungalow with jacuzzi and sea view, absolutely amazing !! We had an incredible time there, it's a family-held hotel & restaurant (even got to eat the fish caught the previous day with the trabucco), and the personnel is extremely friendly... but nothing surpasses the quietness, the views and the light of this place. Very disappointing experience, especially compared to our visit two years ago. Back then, the food was excellent, the service warm, and the whole experience felt special. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. This time, we received very little food for the price, and the quality had noticeably declined. The waitress didn’t seem to understand her job, she even asked if we were finished with the oysters while there were still two full layers left. It’s clear that this place has become more commercial and focused on turnover rather than customer experience. The atmosphere felt rushed and impersonal, and the service lacked even basic hospitality.

I had the 60€ set menu which was perfect as I wanted to taste everyone and the views from this place is stunning. The ristorante is set right next to an old Trabucco overlooking the sea. You can tell the quality of the ingredients and how delicate each dish was.

For the main course, we had the Bono pasta and the lemon with shrimp pasta; both dishes were good. Entrees did not come out together. 4the and 5th tables were getting their entrees before our last dish to come was a very simple spaghetti and shrimp. Loved the king prawns in Brut, but wished they were peeled as it was somewhat difficult to eat them. The monkfish was super tasty. The tuna was fine but overdone. The pasta with seafood was also pretty good. The wine list is huge! The service impeccable. The outdoor tables are wrinkled and as it is half closed space it was a little stuffy.

Excellent restaurant located in the old city of Lecce. Typical dishes of tradition of Salento are served with good care, together with a glass of fine Negroamaro or Primitivo. Prices are fair, a good value for money choice.

They also have wonderful staff - very attentive and friendly. We ordered a few typical dishes to try and we certainly went back satisfied. This place is all about true Pugliese food, and it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s better to reserve ahead — otherwise, be ready for a long wait in line. Once seated, we found the staff super friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the food very homey and authentic. We started with orecchiette al pomodoro (simple yet amazing) and ciceri e tria (a classic dish, though not really to my taste). For the secondi, I was surprised by how delicious the turcinieddhri (sheep offal rolls) were — definitely recommended if you enjoy lamb or sheep. The real highlight for me, though, was the polpette di cavallo al sugo — absolutely delicious! For dessert, don’t even think of skipping it. The toasted dried figs stuffed with almonds and the spumone fichi e mandorle were simply incredible, the perfect way to end the meal. A great place to discover authentic, local Pugliese cuisine with genuine hospitality.

The secret to a good restaurant is simple food done really well and that's exactly what you get here! The service was excellent without feeling rushed, and the food and the price were excellent. You may have to wait for a table, but there's a very good reason for that, so dont be put off, it's worth the wait.

Looking for a traditional dinner, I ended up here and I am so glad cause the food was amazing!!! We were two and we had quite a lot of food from the bruschette, the typical cheese, horse meatballs, two pasta dishes orecchiette and the checkpeas pasta, and the horse tagliata. Everything was excellent and the location so beautiful. I will come back and I totally recommed it.

Memorable appetizers: Parmaginna (amazing), Piazza’s (€8 - 10 each) we enjoyed were: 4 cheese piazza (good), sausage red piazza came with unusual chips on top which were delicious, vesusius tomato piazza. We had a fabulous bottle of house wine which is very good value, served at the perfect temperature. Blonde & Duncan beers on draught were consumed also which tasted v good. We hope to return before the end of our holiday. €115 for 5 people - excellent value, well worth a visit.

A napolitano pizza place. Book in advance, especially in holiday season or you risk not getting a table as the place is really popular. Also, surely don't hope for healthy options :))). The starters are somewhat limited in diversion, all cheese based and deep fried. The pizza was not bad at all, maybe the crust a bit too thick but this is, surely individual taste. And again, at the end of the day it's just pizza which is really hard to make too memorable. A lovely feature of the place was that it was fairly quiet, especially for a pizzeria. The service was good.

Absolutely loved their gelato! We chose dark raw chocolate, pistachio, and Capri in a cup — each flavor was incredibly creamy and packed with flavor. The dark chocolate was rich and intense, the pistachio was smooth and nutty, and Capri was a refreshing surprise. We also tried the affogato a modo mio with S. Marzano liqueur — such a generous portion and absolutely delicious. A unique twist on the classic affogato that really worked. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! I am always coming back here when I am in surroundings, at least for this ice-cream. It is even small word to say fabulous! One of the best ice-creams of my life and I had them a loooooot. Note that there are also sugar and lactose free options (nocciola and pistachio). I am always for lemon and basil and Gorgonzola and blueberries are must try.

Caruso Note d’Eccellenza offers an excellent gelato experience with a wide variety of delicious and satisfying flavors. The atmosphere is charming, and the central location makes it easily accessible. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, adding to the overall experience. Definitely one of the best dessert spots in town.

Definitely one of the best gelatos we’ve had in Italy. The friendly staff offered us a taste test and we both got the Capri, a lemon and milk flavour! The quality of the ice cream is top notch and so is the service. The best!

the second stop on our “polignano food tour”was this gelato shop and apparently i had to try their ice cream. my friends raved about the gorgonzola gelato. one friend even came running to the shop, yes she was that exited. i was just as excited because i love cheese and gorgonzola is one of my favorites. unfortunately we didn’t see it on display and it turns out they had stopped making it. a shame because i was really curious. we tried other flavors instead. i got ricotta with chocolate bits (like a cannoli filling) and almond. both were very good and the quality was excellent. the disappointment lingered a little but the delicious gelato quickly made up for it.

This was absolutely our favourite restaurant in Lecce. We stopped in for an impromptu lunch where we had the most incredible cheese and meat platter, and were so impressed that we came back for dinner the next night. It's a very popular spot so making a reservation is definitely a good idea. The staff are fabulous - super friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about their menu. Came here needing food and drink after being a tourist. Monday 13:30 in October so not too busy and were seated right away. Service is good, good selection of drinks, I ordered the 00 Bionde beer. Good balance and flavor. Wife ordered the caprese salad (pictured) and I had the veal meatballs (pictured). Both were delicious. We also enjoyed the feta in phylo dough, which was a nice combination of warm cheese, crispy phylo and countered with honey. Overall good lunch experience.

I loved my experience here. We didn't book so we came back at 10pm for a table, and it was still busy at this time. The food was incredible and great quality ristorante as you can imagine. The staff were great and we were lucky enough to be seated in the doorway which meant we had more lighting yet still be outside in the summer night watching people go through the piazza.

The food was very tasty, especially the squid ink tagliatelle and fried calamari with caramelized onions. The only downsides were that the most expensive dish—the one I ordered—had literally only 3 small pieces of fish for €28, which surprised me a lot. We also noticed some tension among the waiters, except for one who served us at dessert time and said the tiramisu was very good, possibly the best, and he was right. The cheesecake, however, tasted too much like strawberry syrup for my liking.

Make a reservation via WhatsApp to be sure to get a table, because this is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant focuses on fresh seafood catches of the day, though there are a few limited vegetarian dishes. Ask the staff for recommendations for daily fresh fish, because the menu changes accordingly. The standard menu items are ok too, fresh pastas etc. I got the red tuna carpaccio in olive oil and lemon, swordfish gratin, and mixed seafood orecchiete pasta with tomatoes. All were excellent but I wish I had gone all out for the whole fish of the day (secondi) and skipped over the pasta (primi). Anyways, the service was kind and helpful, never intrusive, and the dining room is lovely and spacious with a vaulted ceiling and windows overlooking the harbour. In the summer and daytimes of the off-season there is limited outdoor seating. If you're driving allow time to find parking on the mainland and about 15-20minutes walking over the bridge to Gallipoli Vecchio since there is very limited parking on the island.

My wife and I ate here on 29 May. We had an unforgettable experience, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Polignano. We also ate at an overpriced restaurant in a cave, and I would recommend this place over that one in a heartbeat. The chef greeted us afterwards too, which I thought was a nice touch at the end of a very delicious meal. Portions were big, but quality was not sacrificed. Would recommend to book in advance, as the place was fully booked while we were there on a weekday. The owners, which were a couple (I believe) turned away many people while we were enjoying our meal.

We expected a lot and got even more! Already the reception is warm and welcoming, giving you the feeling of being personally welcomed. The menu is short but varied, but it's still hard to choose from the delicious dishes on offer. I could write for a long time, every bite is still memorable. For example, the salad of courgette noodles, a dream of simplicity that makes the palate dance. Soft, fresh vegetables, herbs and lettuce alternate with crunchy vegetable crisps and seeds. Lots of flavour without competing with each other ... great balance and yet an experience with every bite. The fave is also different. Authentic and yet more! I don't know how the chef does it. There is also a great selection of wines, some organic. We don't miss the dessert of the day either. This host couple is awesome! The personal farewell from both of them emphasises that this is the best this village and beyond has to offer. Thank you for a lovely, delicious evening. We would love to come back when we are in the area again!

We vacationed in Puglia for 6 days and this was our best meal. We ordered the octopus (polpo) and the salmon carpaccio. They were both presented in the most unique and creative ways. The flavors were a delight for our taste buds. The restaurant is small, intimate and beautifully decorated. Make sure you book well in advance. The service was genuinely friendly. The chef greeted everyone and our server was so nice. MINT gets our highest recommendation.

To eat here at our last evening was the best thing we could’ve done. We had an amazing dining experience here, easily one of the best in our life’s! The restaurant has a really comforting atmosphere, so you are feeling right at home. The restaurant is owned by a nice and friendly couple, who do everything by their own and have an excellent and especially creative menu. You just feel the passion for good, fresh and local food in everything. And it is right - don’t skip the dessert! This was also, besides our delicious main dishes, one of the best things we ever tasted. So thank you Liu and Fabrizio for an incredible dinner and your kind hospitality! PS: We highly recommend to make a reservation, because their place is quite popular - we booked three days in advance.

Solid 4, food is good but overall is highly priced for what it offers. Don’t expect fine dining, rather a beautiful and tasty sequence of veggie entrances with fresh ingredients and simple preparation. Wine degustation was the biggest flaw. Charging 16€ for 2 glasses of average wine is too much. There were good wine options by the bottle, but for pairing there was only 1 type of each style, both red and white ones were nothing special to justify charging 8€ each. I asked the eggs as complimentary dish (10€ on top of the 35€ veggie set), and it came a very simple, slightly overcooked fried eggs. You pay for the experience, but would not charge so much for those complements.

Trust me - make your reservation and go here!! Fantastic meal and service! We sat outside in the back by the Chef’s garden. Super romantic! We chose the 7 vegetarian tasty menu plus one main dish. The main dishes did include ones with a meat protein. The vegetarian dishes are made with produce from the chef’s garden. Every dish was awesome with some highlights that we just loved, including a fried egg with smoked burrata and tomatoes & cucumbers, and a custard & cherry tart. If Trattoria Terra Madre could ship that tart to our house in the U.S., we would be super appreciative :-) Of course I forgot to take a photo of these two dishes that we loved but here are photos some of the veggie dishes. We would truly return back to this delicious place.

We arrived just over 9pm while the restaurant is supposed to close at 10pm, they're very kind to welcome us, provide us enough time to consider what to order. Spinach salad with pomegranates, beet shreds and crunchy fava beans in balsamic and local extra virgin olive oil. Chick pea puree.Peppers w/ olives capers breadcrumbs. Swiss chard with cherry tomatoes. Smoked eggplant parmigiana Stewed onion with sunflower seeds and marmalade. Carrot flan. Had pasta w mushrooms and pumpkin sauce.

After travelling through Puglia for a week, my friends and I were kind of done with pasta and meat. This trattoria was the perfect cure for that with the wonderful 7 course veggie tasting menu. We loved every course, so thoughtfully created with seasonal fresh produce. Also the custard and cherry tart may have been one of the best desserts I have ever had! The ambience and space is also super bright and beautiful with a strong farm to table vibe. 10/10 - would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and eat there again!

I want to tell you how horrible this place is so that you don’t go and ruin it and becomes overcrowded but the fact is this farm table restaurant is an absolute gem in a genuinely tourist infested trap. I can’t believe I found this place I have the vegetarian tasting menu and my taste buds exploded and blew out of my mouth with joy and excitement. The chef is a master and sitting at a table while you’re looking at the actual Garden where they came from is an unbelievable privilege and treat

Food is inexpensive.taste wise I would say it was ok though The pizza with a cured meat was too salty. Service was a little slow, it took us a while to get our orders and desserts. The place was open which was not suitable for non smokers

Honestly, we were disappointed. After reading so many great reviews, we were really excited to try this place, but the food just didn’t live up to the expectations. The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly, but taste-wise, everything was just average. Nothing that made us go “wow” or crave coming back. I gave it 3 stars, which feels fair for an overall average experience.

Restaurant Cibus – A Hot Spot, But Sadly Cold Food We had high hopes for Cibus, the much-talked-about restaurant that’s made quite a name for itself. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the buzz. The evening started with promise, but as soon as we placed our order, the entire meal was rushed to our table — at the same time as the amuse bouche. It felt hurried and careless, especially since our wine hadn’t even arrived yet. We had ordered three lasagnas and one lamb shank. The lamb? Perfectly fine. The lasagna? Not warm. All three were sent back. That left one of us awkwardly eating alone while the others waited. About ten minutes later, the exact same plates returned — now warm, yes, but noticeably drier. Although the flavor was good, we had expected freshly prepared lasagna, especially from a restaurant of this reputation. The waiter insisted they were new plates. They weren’t. To our surprise, about twenty minutes later, a new, freshly made lasagna was brought out to one of our guests who had barely touched his. It was delicious — as it should have been from the start. But by then, the moment had passed. At the end of the evening, we expected a small gesture — a complimentary coffee, perhaps — as acknowledgment of the experience. Sadly, nothing. On a positive note, the waitress was delightful, and the overall flavor of the dishes was very good. Still, despite the quality of the food, we left with a bad taste — and not from the cuisine. Here's hoping they treat future guests with more care and timing befitting their ambition.

Typical “non nonsense”-butcher-restaurant of Cisternino and surroundings where you choose your meat at the counter first which will then be grilled and taken to your table. Not for vegetarians but very good meat, good variety of bombette. Get your desert elsewhere - you’ll need a walk anyway after having inescapably eaten too much meat. You will order too much food at the counter, but there is always the option of the doggy bag. I had enough for two more days of lunch last time I ate here.

Extremely simple and delicious cuisine... Amazing!

They have good food (heavy) but slightly touristic. They adopt the “forno” concept that is very popular in Puglia, you choose you meat, like in the butcher, and they cook it for you. When the food arrived was freshly cooked, I liked it a lot... but just said that was a lot and couldn’t eat everything. The antipasto of the house (were few vegetables in vinegar) was good but nothing that blows the mind. They have good local beers and wine! Also, the plates and utensils are locally produced and are beautiful.

We were a party of six and had a great dinner. We had a 930 reservation which the owner called us to tell us our table is ready so we didn’t have to wait inside and we could walk around town when we did get in. They seemed a little overwhelmed and took a while to take our order. Get us our wine, but it was worth the weight. The food was delicious so many appetizers would highly recommend checking this place out.

Here at Alle Due Corti we had a fantastic experience trying authentic local dishes in the best way possible. The ingredients were fresh, the food was hot and the people serving us were extremely warm and friendly and even were giving recommendations on food. It was our best experience in Lecce exploring the local cuisine.

We had a fantastic meal, enjoying the orchiette pasta and the codfish with parsley at a simple, family table. The food was hearty, homestyle, and incredibly flavorful. The whole restaurant had a familiar, cozy atmosphere. What truly made the experience was the service: it was so friendly it felt like being hosted by a family member! Georgia and her team are delightful, and I would definitely recommend this for a southern Italian craving. We had wine two entrées and dessert which totaled €48.

A great experience. We didn't book a table, so, the owner proposed to shared a big table in the middle of the restaurant with other guests. It was a good way to discover the local cuisine. I recommand the antipasti that were really good and generous.

Nice atmosphere, very kitschy and out of the box. You dine in the middle a a chaotic collection of antique objects, bottles etc The portions could be a bit larger, but are good to share and taste local food. Some plates a bit disappointing (parmigiana eggplant) but others were good surprises (burrata, eggplant fingers with dried fruits, rolled pork portions, etc) It is worth the visit indeed

L’Antiquario is a truly charming and unique spot, both for its vintage decor that instantly takes you back to earlier decades and for the warm, family-run atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is 100% traditional Salento cuisine, with homemade pasta and a variety of local dishes like meatballs and ciceri e tria. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavours in a cozy, nostalgic setting.

Overpriced, salty, and disappointing despite kind staff. Not a good experience. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was fine, but the food was very underwhelming. Everything was far too salty, especially the cavatelli with octopus—the saltiest pasta I’ve ever had. The meatballs (€14) came with no side dish, so we had to order very plain chips/vegetables separately. The coperto is €3 per person, which feels steep considering the quality, and even the water wasn’t included. We spent €50 for a very ordinary meal and left disappointed. Friendly owners and interesting décor, but overall overpriced and not worth the hype. You’d honestly eat better buying pasta and sauce at the supermarket.

The tables outside are very cozy. The location of the restaurant is great. The food was also really good. The service was very nice and friendly but one personal brought us a new bottle of water after we finished the first bottle even we didn’t order it, luckily we could give the unopened bottle back.

The staff was very welcoming, I just got disappointed as they suggested to me a starter of a day that was combination of all 4 vegetables starters they had on menu. Unfortunately not a great experience here at all. Firstly, the service and atmosphere were great, all the staff were lovely and friendly however the food was not good at all. Now the food, The eggplant parmigiana was burnt and dry and the orecchiette pasta was undercooked and burnt at the same time and the polpette meatballs were actually disgusting. It was really disappointing because the previous recent reviews and photos looked great. The menu itself is really good and all the food sounds incredible, they have traditional meals and dishes my own nonna makes. We were also charged €6 each for chinotto which is genuinely ridiculous and not worth it at all. I’m hoping that our experience was a one off.

We had a wonderful experience at Ristorante Garibaldi! The service was very prompt and friendly, the waiter told us what dishes would be a little different or what different pastas were available to choose from. The food was very tasty, both the lasagna and pacherri and the pasta with clams and scampi!!! We ordered a bottle of white wine and got a bottle from a local winery, super tasty! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy good food in Martina Franca.

Ordered the zucchini flowers and stracciatella pasta with cheese Owners were so friendly and the place had a great location and vibe 😍 They even gave extra bruschetta while we waited for food. This is the best restaurant in the surrounding area of Martina Franca if you are looking for authentic, home-made Puglian food just as an Italian grandmother would make. We have sampled the better half of the menu in a few trips to this restaurant and I can confirm everything was absolutely delicious. Don’t hesitate driving here even if you are staying 30 minutes away by car. The owners are always present and absolutely charming, adding to an already amazing atmosphere. Location, the outdoor terrace and views from it also top-notch.

We stumbled upon Ristorante Garibaldi by coincidence and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The service was excellent, the dishes were delicious and well-prepared, and the location added to the overall charm. A wonderful dining experience that we can warmly recommend to anyone visiting Martina Franca!

There is nothing worse than feeling ripped off and this is exactly what happened in this restaurant. A glass of wine costs 8.5€! That’s the most expensive glass of wine I ever had…as it wasn’t indicated in the extensive wine menu (it should have been the sign), I thought it was going to be standard maximum 5€ that I have been paying in the week spent in Puglia… should I have known it I was better of taking a cocktail. I also really don’t know how a plate of pasta (18€), a bottle of water (2€), the glass of wine and the copperto (3€) ended up costing 33€!! Incredible! To avoid at any cost.

I was surprised. Great location. Clean. Good service and wine. The food did not match the price they charged. For an average portion of daily pasta with mushrooms 28eur. For a glass of wine typical primitivo 8.5eur, appetizer 14eur... it is definitely overpriced.

We went there for my birthday last night. I’ll give it that we didn’t make a reservation, so we weren’t expecting a great table, but they put us at the very last one, almost outside of the restaurant far from everything; just to learn at the end of our stay there were still plenty of table left empty in better spots. The waiting staff was really nice and tried to make our evening pleasant. The wine was great! Emozione! The food was not good: the octopus we ordered as a starter was chewy (probably already cooked and put into a microwave to be served warm) and the risotto was completely tasteless. The tuna tartar was ok and my brother was luckier and ordered the beef: really good (which guaranteed the 2 stars) Real shame for my 51th birthday.

Lovely restaurant with amazing views. Food was good with promptnservice even with a large wedding event happening. Citronella candles to keep mozzies away. Would recommend, we booked a few hours before and were happily accommodated.

An exceptional culinary journey within a charming stone setting overlooking Polignano a Mare. Contrary to some opinions suggesting that you're solely paying for the ambiance, I beg to differ. While it may not be the most budget-friendly choice, considering the quality of both the food and the picturesque location, I believe it offers great value. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Tiramisu wasn’t great but everyone interprets it differently. Waiters were attentive and kind.

I definitely feel you pay for the location - outside and large, looking over Polignano a Mare, it is very beautiful, and staff were attentive. However we felt the food wasn't quite up to par, especially in comparison to what else we ate in polignano. A few things we didn't like: - We were given welcome tapas, which were quite average cream cheese tartlets. We have been given the same in other restaurants, except here we paid €6, whilst in other restaurants they were free - The menu was only available via mobile web, with a QR code - The starters were quite bland - we had tris de tartare and prawn praline. They weren't seasoned, while we felt the addition of passion fruit didn't really go with the fish. - There were discrepancies with the English and Italian menu - of course ideally we wouldn't be using the English menu and we could speak the language. It meant what I ordered came with completely different ingredients - I ordered what I hoped to be trocolli with anchovies, breadcrumbs and fennel, but instead got a bland tomato trocolli. Not only this, but on the receipt in Italian - it also stated I had eaten the anchovies trocolli! - The toilets also didn't reflect how nice the restaurant was. The light didn't work in the men's toilet. All in all, we were slightly disappointed and felt the price we paid (which wasn't cheap), only reflected the location rather than the food. We didn't bother to stay for dessert. We did leave full however, and the staff were nice.

we came to polignano a mare to eat, apparently. first stop of our “polignano food tour” was this coffee shop. my friends told me i absolutely had to try their “special coffee.” i asked multiple times what it was, but they just said, “you’ll see.” so i ordered it. we got three, one each, and somehow managed to grab a booth in the middle of the very busy café. clearly this “special coffee” is their thing. i finally tried it and i have to say, i was surprised. if i remember correctly, it’s made with coffee, whipped cream, amaretto, and lemon juice. sounds weird, right? but the combo actually works. creamy, bitter, sweet, and acidic all at once. hard to describe, but definitely worth trying if you’re ever in the area.

Very Italian experience:) coffee speciale was tasty and worth trying. If you want feel that real Italian coffee shop you need to visit.

Very typical old bar but their food is amazing. My husband loved their caffe speciale which is very popular not only tourists but also the locals.

The must visit place in Polignano! Best cappuccino, special coffee and pastry in my life!!! The pastry was full of custard! The croissant with Nutella was so fresh, melted in my mouth. Special coffee is espresso shot with nice cream, amaretto and lemon. So much flavor! Very authentic and nostalgic interior. There are pictures of the owner with different stars whose visited the place (Britney Spears etc).

The food is delicious. The polpette di melanzane were extremely good. We ordered the ravioli burrata with vegetable cream, the ravioli burrata with tomato and basil, fish soup and spaghetti with clams. All dishes were super well done and the service was good and nice.

Food is good. Service is fast… but a bit too fast. Cleaning away the plates while someone is still eating is not done. And if one person is still waiting for her cocktail while the rest is done with dessert i can tell its not just that attentive. Advice: Nice terras with a breeze but if your sensitive about the surroundings its not your thing.

Eggplant rolls with salted baccalà were delicious. Ceci e tria was ok, a little gluggy and overpriced at €15. I asked for dessert recommendations and was recommended the semifreddo with pistachio, unfortunately it was so sickly sweet and not to my taste despite having a sweet tooth. It was like syrup and I couldn’t taste the pistachio. I sat inside at 7:30 because they said they had nothing available (fine by me) but when leaving at 8:30 the terrace was still empty except for one table so that felt a little odd. Ambience was ok but restaurant felt empty, lacks the warmth of other places. A candle or light on my table would help. They also turned away 3 other girls who also arrived at 7:30 opening time saying they were booked until 9:30 but it looked like they could have served them in the time I was there. Restaurant was only 20% full and gives an odd dynamic when so many tables are unused. Very expensive, glass of wine was €10 and ceci dish at €15 should be cheaper and given €3 bottle of 750ml water for one person, a smaller option would have been appreciated as I can only drink so much liquid in one sitting. Really dislike the QR code menus, makes it feel cheap (and I am a young person haha). Nice staff. Overall good food but very expensive for the ambience.

Such a great food and wine and lovely chill place to seat. We had excellent (like for real) beef and pasta and eggplant appetizers and Salice Salento wine. Service is a bit annoyed of your existence, however I experienced this across all places in Lecce. We paid approx 50€ per person.

I came for the pasta, I stayed because I couldn’t physically move after eating it. La Cucina di Mamma Elvira should honestly provide wheelbarrows to roll customers out after dinner. The food? Ridiculously good. The kind of good where you start questioning every life choice that led you to eat supermarket pesto before this. The wine list? Longer than my attention span, but somehow every glass magically paired with whatever landed on my plate. The staff didn’t just serve food-they staged a full-scale intervention to stop me from ordering a third round of burrata. (I regret nothing.) In short: if you’re in Lecce and don’t eat here, that’s like going to Rome and ignoring the Colosseum. Except tastier.

Located in the centre of Lecce, this beautiful restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating areas. We were walk ins, and the staff managed to accommodate a perfect table for us outside with just a short wait prior. We did message via the WhatsApp number, prior to arriving, however there was no reply. (So just be advised if you try this, you may not receive communication for bookings) Drinks orders were taken quickly and we went for one of the local, Puglia rose wines, which the staff recommended to us. It was one of the most delicious rose wines we have had! For food, we decided to try the Gnocci and linguine dishes. Both were served quickly and were delicious. One of the staff members was a little forgetful first bringing bread with no accompanying plates or oils, and then offering us cheese for the pastas (but never returning with it) However this did not spoil what was otherwise such a nice dining experience. Prices are also affordable. Overall a great visit and we highly recommend for anyone visiting Lecce. We are returning for a large wedding next year, so will sending all of our guests here!

We had a great meal here. The manager was awesome helping us choose a bottle of wine. The eggplant meatballs are a must, but all the food was very good and we really enjoyed it and it’s like a beautiful outdoor seating area like on the edge of the historic district. Their menu is online and as I’m not a fan of photos on the menu if you click on one of the items in the menu, it will then show you a photo which I thought was helpful

TOP experience! The fish and seafood is always fresh and plenty to choose from, the wine list was IMPRRSSIVE ! The staff were very well educated and true professionals. Cozy atmosphere. The food was AMAZING, you can tell they really put an effort in the diahes. I recommend 10/10 . Great job to the front of house, back of house, and owners! Chapeau!

If you love seafood, this is your place to go overlocking the sea just before you reach the port. Plus the interior concept is very stylish and modern. The waiter who served us was very nice, polite and recommended outstanding fish. Highly recommend a dinner here!

Beautifully located in a charming villa with an incredible view. The service is warm and attentive. The linguine was excellent - truly a highlight. The bruschetta, however, was a bit underwhelming.

Writing this review as someone who has been to this restaurant four times over the years! We love the food, how curated the menu is, and the attention to detail with the seafood. I really enjoyed their primi piatti of pasta with seafood and their zuppa di pesce ! super fresh and delicious. What I’m mostly concerned about, however, is the service. As an interracial couple who has dined here multiple times, we are quite easy to remember, yet on every occasion we felt completely ignored. Nobody acknowledged us, which was disappointing. The staff should definitely be more attentive and welcoming. For a restaurant of this level, hospitality should match the quality of the food. We truly appreciate the kitchen and the effort put into the dishes, but the service leaves us feeling unwelcome. I sincerely hope management takes this into consideration, because it would be wonderful to enjoy both the amazing food and an equally thoughtful service experience.

Beautiful setting, excellent food, but the experience was disappointing. The service was not very friendly or warm. There were plenty of staff rushing around, but each seemed to have just one task and couldn’t respond to what was actually needed. So we waited for the one person whose job it was to take orders, while others stood by doing nothing. The vibe tries for shabby chic but lands on just shabby. Uneven chairs, chipped dishes, awkward details. The food? Excellent. Linguine had a lovely cayenne-smoked -paprika kick. Octopus was tender and generous. Crisp potatoes were addictive. Fritto misto was fine but uninspired. The chefs are the highlight. Shame the front of house doesn’t match their standard. Wouldn’t return.

I felt conflicted about this place as I had to reflect on many aspects experienced to provide a proper review. The interiors are cozy without too much fancy. We arrived with hope about the fish offer, as the place is promoted as an heaven of fish menu. I have to anticipate and comment that I’m a diver, so pretty much well documented on fishing practices and laws. We ordered a first dish of pasta based on raw fish. Well cooked, really appreciated on the palate. Then we arrive to the second dish, which of course should have been a fresh fish one. I went to the cart to select the fish and….the big issue, all the fishes exposed were so small that I got silent in front of the waitress. Per law, some species of fishes must can be captured ONLY after a certain size, in order for them to be able to reproduce. Especially the groupers, that are highly endangered. All the fishes exposed were so small and seemed clearly below the 45cm limit. I asked to the waitress if the fishes were mature enough to be captured and purchased. She had no idea, but she said she expected to be if they were purchased. Long story short as there was no alternative we consumed the fish but I took the initiative to send the fish pictures to a biologist friend of mine and measure the fish with my own phone tools. Both confirmed the fish was under legal size. For me is highly negative that a restaurant which is based on fish offer doesn’t control for legal requirements of their fish nor have its team prepared. I understand not all consumers are so attentive, but beyond the sustainability of such practices, it is also illegal to propose such small captures in restaurants for the damage the cause to the sea ecosystem. I hope the management will pay more attention to the supply chain management.

This place is super popular and gets a lot of praise, so you walk in with big expectations. Their thing is raw fish and seafood, really fresh and well-displayed. But if you’re craving some easy, feel-good comfort food, this probably isn’t the spot for you. Better to try somewhere else for that. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but honestly, I think they’re fair for what you get. The pasta section on the menu only has three choices, but the staff will usually suggest a few more, depending on the fresh seafood they’ve got that day. I went with a langoustine pasta dish, and while the flavors were nice and the sauce unctuous, it was way too al dente for me, like the chef was aiming for that perfect “just right” bite and stopped cooking a bit too soon. One last thing: make a reservation! This place fills up fast.

Best mojito I have ever had!! This is such a great place to grab a mojito for 7-8 euros. They have a great selection of mojitos (16 to choose from!) I had the passion mojito whilst my husband had the classic mojito and we both absolutely loved it! But I would definitely recommend the passion mojito. The barmen were super friendly and it was great watching them make the mojitos from scratch. I had no idea it takes so much effort and elbow grease! They play really great music creating a fun vibe. There a few seats outside including 6 wooden high chairs with a table. There are also some seats inside but people mostly sat outside as inside could get very busy. The alley is a bit of a tight squeeze, with people frequently coming and going but it wasn’t a bother. We will definitely be back.

Best piña colada mojito I ever had! Great vibe sitting on the nearby steps, it’s the best bar experience we had In Puglia!!! They have a great verity of mojitos, with unique ingredients, just pick up one in ~8 EUR/ drink. 🍹 highly recommended!

I was hoping you try real mojitos but what we got was more like “granizados” bunch of ice all the way to the top with very little alcohol. Not much places to sit and outside was pretty congested by people passing through at all times.

If you're in Polignano a Mare, you should definitely come here for a great vibe. The bartenders know their business 100+ points. I tried three variations of mojitos and all were excellent. In addition to mojitos you can always snag a delicious rum, gin, or maybe something else, there is definitely alcohol for every taste. The freshest mint grows right on the bar, and there are enough mojito options for the most sophisticated tastes. Be nice to the bartenders and they will make a little miracle for you. Highly recommended!

Very cool bar in Poligano a Mare. Barman is friendly and on his game. Good section of drinks and pricing is reasonal for the Old Town. Situated on a narrow passageway. Seating available inside and outside. Very nice atmosphere both inside and outside. Proseco costs €5 a glass an it is a good portion.Well worth the visit. Highly recommended.

One of the best mojitos we had in all of Puglia! Great value for money, made with super fresh ingredients. Even though it was really busy, they still made the mojitos with care — and it was totally worth the wait. The non-alcoholic version was just as amazing. Highly recommended!

Clearly this business focuses on the freshness and simplicity of the local cuisine dishes that they offer. Everything was tasty even though the meatballs and the not so cooked tomato sauce was not in my palate. I'd highly recommend the lasagna and if you're looking a good tasty quick cheap meal; this place is for you. I'd only prefer and recommend they pay more attention to the overall cleanliness of the ambience and especially bathroom. Either way, it's recommendable.

Super simple (think paper plates) but fresh and delicious for incredible value for money. We wanted to come back for every meal we spent in town. Somehow the best Italian eats come from this kind of low-key gem. Eggplant parmigiana was the star of our meal

You have to get a ticket to order. The foccacia selection was very wide. There were at least 10 different one. We chosed a salmon one and a “normal”. It was the best. In luch time you have to wait 20 minutes so you do not come too hungry.There is not to much place to sit down.

Amazing focaccia in Polignano a Mare! Incredible value for this amazing focaccia. So many different options to choose from. Usually extremely busy but definitely worth the queue. It’s a little chaotic inside but that’s because the food is so good.

The best focacceria in the world! You can order by portion and they weight it, and it's not expensive at all. We ordered one portion of pistaccio mortadella, Potato and prosciutto crudo, and prosciutto crudo stracciatella and nuts. Everything was really delicious and only for 11 euro. We couldn't take a picture because it was too tasty to wait. Highly reccomended

Went in before 7pm for a quick dinner, only to find out they don't serve dinner before 7pm. So I had a cocktail and finger food, as the server recommended. It is Ok. nothing fantastic. The view on the terrace is very poor, completely blocked by a large building in the front, and you can't see the old town at all.

We booked this place for the Spaghetti all'assassina, and it was a very different pasta which was fantastic. Having the word 'Fusion' in the title, I think my expectations were a little high. We had some sushi rolls and while they were nice, but weren't spectacular. We sat out the back which was very pleasant. The service was also fine.

We stopped in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Waiter Mark was very kind and efficient, and the salmon sushi and tuna sashimi were so delicious. The apulian orecchiette was also great. Would highly recommend if you want something a fresh and a bit different during your time in Ostuni!

Sorry Ciro I've been here before and enjoyed the experience. This time around - big no no. Both pizzas, Fungi and Crudo, were soggy and dripped swimming in liquid in the paper plate.... None was crisp and tasty. Under cooked and raw. I wondered around to other tables - their situation wasn't better then mine. All pizzas on all tables I looked at had the same wet unhappy and soggy situation. 2 stars because the Coke was good as always 😉

If you want authentic experience, this is the place to go, totally in love with the pizza! Highly recommended

There is a queuing system with numbers on paper, we had to wait about 30 minutes, but it is worth the wait. Staff were busy but very friendly. Would recommend!

We had a few great drinks at Blanc! It’s very beautiful and unique in its interior. Strongly recommend, a bit more pricy than other local bars but definitely worth it.

We were recommended Blanc for an early evening drink and it is a really relaxing place to kick back and have an aperitivo! Lovely courtyard with comfortable seating and a decent selection of drinks. If you want somewhere special to unwind early in the evening and drink a few negronis or similar, then go here!

After reading Google Maps reviews, I was intrigued and decided to try this place, especially for their bruschette. The menu is quite simple, focusing on three main items: a variety of grilled meats, Pugliese-style fondue (melted scamorza cheese), and bruschette. Since I wasn’t in the mood for meat, my options were limited, but I was mainly here for the bruschette anyway. I ordered a bruschetta with stracciatella, tomatoes, and Parma ham. While it looked fresh and appealing, the flavor was underwhelming and failed to impress. Unfortunately, things went downhill with my main course. I chose the scamorza e salsiccia (fondue), and it was a complete letdown. Served in a pan with no fire to keep it warm, the cheese hardened within minutes, becoming chewy and unpleasant. As for the sausage, it was bland and lacked flavor. I didn’t even finish the dish. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered a dessert—the pasticciotto tart. Don’t let my pictures fool you; this too was a disappointment. Sadly, the entire experience fell far short of expectations. I reluctantly gave this place 2 stars out of pity, which is not something I usually do. Consider this a warning—you might want to skip this one!

The grilled meats were excellent - tender, juicy, perfectly cooked and tasty. The vegetables were perfect with the meats. The bruschetta and cheese fondue with sweet peepers were amazing. Definitely a must-visit when in Lecce. And come hungry! Chiara, our server, was so lovely and gave great recommendations. We just let her order for us and we were very happy!

We were very satisfied with this restaurant. I suggest to try horse meet, it is typical in this region, but other type of meats were great as well. The bruschette is a good starter and here you can get a quite big piece.

We have been to Mamma Lupa many times. It was great seeing Francesca the chef and Chiara our server. Another stupendous meal and service. We were a party of 7 with a Vegan and gluten free vegetarian. We had a truly disappointing experience. We ordered a tuna salad that was supposed to include olives — when it arrived, they were missing. After we asked, they told us they had run out. That’s understandable, but what’s not acceptable is that no one offered any kind of compensation or even a simple apology. We were charged full price for a dish that was incomplete and had barely any tuna. When we brought this up at the time of payment, instead of understanding or professionalism, we were met with a rude and defensive response from the person who said he was the owner. His reaction was completely out of place for someone in charge of a business. Even the staff looked uncomfortable with how he handled it. If someone claims to have run a restaurant for 30 years (as he mentioned), the basic conditions should reflect that: the bathroom was in terrible condition and the sidewalk tables were wobbly and unstable. Poor food, poor service, and absolutely no sense of customer care. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Food was alright - ate the horse meat and had such a nice little conversation with my girlfriend while I was there. There is a small clothing store right next to it where I was sitting and watching the seller do work. There was a nice balcony right above of the clothing shop and an entrance to a building that is out of use tough.

Food is basically cheese ++ I had bruschetta which was very average and a pepper vegetable dish that was stodgy and lacking in subtlety. Service was polite enough but frankly, it’s a little early in the season to act so disinterested and disengaged.

We were really looking forward to delicious pizzas but sadly the Bianca pizzas were too cheesy/greasy. The base around the corners were so good but the actual pizza was so hard to eat, I managed two slices. I hate throwing food away but I couldn’t eat anymore.

Good pizza with a great variety, ready to go by the slice...or by the "scissor cut". It is a take away place with a couple of tables in the street and good beer.

Definitely the best pizza I've ever tasted. The tomatoes are utterly delicious! The bread is just right. The ingredients are fresh. The price is insanely cheap! I love everything about it!

Went here twice while staying in Lecce as it was so good. We noticed it was the busiest place around while exploring the area near our apartment with a handful of tables outside. There was a few trays of different pizzas and we chose a few different ones. The focaccia-like base was light and had been well-proved with a variety of good quality toppings both with tomato and non-tomato bases. They also had a range of great craft beers. We dined for just around €16 which is a total bargain. Highly recommend

The piadinas made here are very tasty, fresh and made on the spot! I ordered two piadinas (#17 & #8), which were both delicious and can’t wait to try more! The owner is also very friendly and nice!

Lecce city is so beautiful but it was very difficult to find Vegan food there and then we found this restaurant with Vegan kebab right in front of amphitheatre! Very tasty Vegan kebab, so cheap and very good portion. Highly recommended!

After ordering they tell you to wait but you dont get any number or instructions. The kebab by itself was ok. For me it was too dry and without any intense flavour. It would be nicer if they would add tomato or sth sweet to balance the flavour. Salad, potatoes, avocado and this vegan meat make it kinda boring.

Great spot on the main square. Very popular at night.. and very busy. Great for a quick bite - €7 for a nice hot 'flatbread sandwich'. Caters for vegetarians and vegans. We got two - one pork and one tuna. Recommended

Vegan doner is bland (literally no sauce and uncooked seitan)and they are rude if you don’t speak Italian. Two stars for Cheap beer

We tried fish&chips, fried cod and fried calamari. Nothing was worthy of the tradition of Bari seafood. Definitely not adequate for the location and the customers who are supposed to eat here. Moreover I had oily sensation in my stomach for hours after the meal.

The food was good, but heavy - fried stuff and a lot of mayo in my opinion. Having said that, the prawns were very good and fresh!

Wow it was really good. I couldn’t stop eating from the first bite! Also, there are a lot of octopus. I was so sceptical at first but was very happy with what I got. As of my visit, this one with the octopus costs 12 Euros

The grilled octopus burger was fantastic. Frittura di calamaro was excellent. 🔥 Fried fish was good too.

Lovely place with very quick and efficient service. The basket of friend seafood was delicious, crispy and hot. Everything is made to order. I feel that the octopus sandwich wasn’t the best compared to others we had in the area, but this is a personal opinion! It’s less savoury as I’d expect it to be. Besides this- highly recommend. They also have a patio outside overlooking the sea!!

The only place I would eat in Ostuni. Expensive,lunch 110eur, worth it complrtely. Starter was boring, aubergine with pekorino foam,but main - ravioli with monkfish and potato, home made bread, amuse bouche and maiz desert -absolutely worth it...

This cute and intimate restaurant was such a great find. The chef/proprietor was also the host and his passion for hospitality shines through. The food was exquisite and there were some delightful culinary surprises throughout the meal. We were taken on a gastromic journey that did not disappoint... the experience was devine and if you are a foodie, then this is a must visit restaurant. The service was friendly and super efficient. The food was outstanding and there were many note worthy wines and champagnes in the cellar. A shining star in Ostuni's busy restaurant scene.

Dining at Osteria Ricanatti is a not just a meal, but an intimate experience. We chose one of the set menus with paired wines. The food was delicate, interesting and well thought out. For high-end and fine dining, it felt very warm and unpretentious. The best dining experience we have had.

Food and service at very high standard without the price. Blown away by the quality, creativeness and taste of all the food we had. Service was attentive and on the ball. House wine spectacular. Amuse Bouche was incredibly tasty. The home made bread crusty and delicious served with high quality olive oil. I would highly recommend this place, glad we dined here.

very good gelato, BUT this year they have cut down on the portions massively. I come to Lecce every year with my family, but now a grande cup is actually a medium to small one from the past. We will definitely choose another Gelateria. It's not the cost that bothers us, but that we are fooled with carefully aerated and measured cups as if you steal it and don't buy it

Gorgeous gelato with a range of both traditional and more unusual flavours made on site. My son went for chocolate and straciatella, which was delicious: I had pear with hibiscus and black olive with orange - both absolutely divine!

It was a 5 stars two years ago, it became 4 last year, I am afraid it’s only a 3 stars now. Of course it’s my personal taste, but the base is too milky, killing the flavours. Prices have gone up more than the competition, considering how little the portions are. I hope next year Baldo will go back to its glory.

Excellent. Great selection of gelato and friendly staff. They have all the usual flavours that everyone seems to stick with, but they also have some daily and weekly specials. We went for an olive gelato, very unusual but quite delicious.

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. In high season it’s probably really busy here, because the food was excellent. Especially our waitress Christina (but also the other staff) was very friendly and welcomed us with a smile. She easily explained and recommended everything to us in English.

This is the first time I’ve seen something like this — I’m truly shocked by the unprofessionalism of this service. The restaurant only had a few customers, yet we waited about 30 minutes just to place our order. Once we finally ordered, it took around 1.5 hours to get our food — and by then, the restaurant was completely empty. The order was wrong (which can happen), but the worst part was that the food wasn’t even good. The veggie burger was cold and awful. If you want to pay high prices and waste your time, this is the place to go. Otherwise, go somewhere else

Great address in Gallipoli! The food is good and affordable. The waiters were very reactive and friendly. Thanks to Simone who took our orders and kindly served us with a big smile.

The meat burger are good but we waited 1h30 for our plates and the veggies burger are horrible, we asked for napkins the waitress told us there’s no more after we waited for 30 minutes for it, then we asked for 2 churros portions and we received only one. AND ITS REALLY EXPENSIVE

Incredible place for a mid day bite or late night snack. Get the puccia - you will not regret it. I made a custom order. You can ask the host for a slip and create your own sandwich to your liking. Truffle salami is a must.

Absolute high quality food, this puccia sandwich will blow you away, jazzy easy listening music in a small shop. A family business, they’re worth every euro. It’s not just a sandwich. It’s a tasteful experience of salty, sweet,sour, crisp and chewy in one, no matter what you choose from the ‘preferite’ list.

Sandwiches are very tasty. Brad was so fresh and toasted to perfection. Servers are very kind and accommodating. Atmosphere is very nice and chill. A bit on a pricey side, but well worth it.

Eating lunch for the 3rd time here over our 10 days stay in Gallipoli and the quality is equally high. Fresh and delicious baguettes and “puccias” with a good customer service. Nice vintage surroundings. Fresh burrata, swordfish carpaccio and truffle salami were among our favorites. Really worth a visit if you’re looking for a tasty and simple lunch in the area!

Hole in the wall tiny place but the focacceria sandwich is amazing the bread is very fresh and hot, crusty, good chewy texture and delicious meats/veggies stuffed inside, really hits the spot after walking the area. Just be aware the man (owner?) behind counter is rude gets annoyed with everyone for no reason.

I had no prior knowledge about pucce. The guy at the counter was very friendly and not rude at all, contrary to what other reviews say. He patiently explained everything, and I ended up ordering their pucce with local ham and mozzarella, which was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

La Lira Focacceria is a small but charming spot with only a few outdoor tables — just four in total — giving it a cozy, local feel. We were a little bit hesitant, so we asked for help and get recommended a local traditional food, puccia. We asked for a little biz extra ruccola. It was very delicious. The service was very good, and they were really helpful.

The focaccia is nice and crispy, and the man selling it is the sexiest I have ever seen. Visited 2023 and then 2025, and buying from him, especially when he turns his eyes on you, is still an intense experience.

We were recommended to come here for for the local Alberobello sandwich Pasqualino. Confusingly it wasn’t on the menu. But the charming staff told us that it can be made freshly within 5 minutes, so we ordered it and loved it! The bread was freshly toasted nice and warm and crispy. I thought it would be a light lunch, but the portion was generous. I was full afterwards.😍

It's in the tourist square but this is really good, authentic food. We tried 4 different items between 3 people and they were all fantastic. The bread is really well made and the staff are very friendly and helpful in explaining the differences. I also bought some baked biscuits and they are fantastic, and made in an older way that you don't see anymore especially outside of Italy.

If you ever find yourself in Lecce, you absolutely cannot miss Pizzeria La Gigante! This place is a true paradise for pizza lovers. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the smiling Huang Jinyi, who made us feel right at home. Her warmth and professionalism are truly a gem! One of the best features of La Gigante is the open kitchen – you can watch the chef work his magic right before your eyes. It really adds a magical touch to the whole experience. And the scent of the ingredients? Mmm, it lingered in the air long after we left the restaurant! We ordered the pulled pork pizza and the gigante’99 – both were absolutely phenomenal! The dough was so delicious that I couldn't believe it was just pizza. Perfectly baked, with a crispy crust and juicy toppings. Every bite was a true feast for the palate! The location is also great – easy to find, and the atmosphere makes you feel part of the local life. If you're looking for a place where pizza tastes like heaven, La Gigante is definitely the spot. We will definitely be back! 🍕❤️

If you want a very good - one of the best - gluten free pizzas around go here. Delicious. I had the Naples. My wife's normal pizza looked great too. Wish I could get this quality of gluten free at home in the UK. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great selection of traditional and chef's special pizzas, all excellent. The place is small but they have tables outside on a charming square near the city center. Service is a bit slow. 45 minutes for a "tagliere" antipasto. Pizzas are faster and arrived as we were still eating the antipasto. In spite of this, we will go back because their pizza is really tasty and the dough is light.

A wonderful restaurant, and the best pizza I have had during my holiday in Italy. It is located a little outside of the “main area” of Lecce, but the food is simple and delicious.

Great pizza, good atmosphere and fair price. We booked in advance (it is advisable) and everything was brilliant! The carbonara arancini were lovely too!

Walked here at night for dinner. No english is spoken but the staff was very nice and accommodating. Pizza was delicious, and we asked for to go boxes to take the rest home. The only odd thing was when we ordered, there were two of us, and I ordered 1 drink and 1 pizza, and they left without asking for my friends order. It was a challenge to explain that we each wanted our own pizza. Then they brought it halfed which we didn't ask for, but it all worked out well!

The place is very beautiful and the inside and outside was gorgeous. The pizza is probably one of the best I have had in Italy so far and I have been to half of Italy so far. The only thing I would say is change the verbiage on the cheesecake because that is not cheesecake. But besides that the staff was very very pleasant and the atmosphere was a wonderful time. For the Pizza 10 out of 10 but for the dessert I would say 3 out of 10 but they do have about 5 dessert items so definitely try them. I had a great time and will ne back here in the future.

What a wonderful restaurant, especially for pizza! The staff is very kind & always helpful. One time we walked in without a reservation & they were able to accommodate us as long as we finished before another person's reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation as this place is popular and fills up quickly. The quality of the pizza is the best & ingredients are fresh! There is also a small selection of local beers, which is cool. The prices are a great value for the quality...can't beat it!

I want to put what I am about to say in context: we have a small obsession with pizza. we travel a fair amount and try to find the best pizza everywhere we go. we are afficcionados of the Top 50 pizza rankings. The pizza we had here was hands down, by a wide margin, the absolute best pizza we have ever had. In Spanish they say "immejorable." it is so good, it is hard to imagine how to possibly make it any better. what's more the atmosphere and service are understated, kind, discrete, professional and welcoming. Regina Margherita should be a UNESCO world heritage site. Bravissimo!
