French restaurant
Bistro Maison is a charming restaurant located in the historical downtown area, offering classic French cuisine in a cozy setting. Housed in an old building, it features garden seating for outdoor dining when the weather permits. The menu boasts traditional French dishes such as soupe de poisson Provencale, mussels in a garlic and Pernod cream sauce, and coq au vin.
A truly wonderful restaurant! The food and service was above and beyond…if you are in the area and have an opportunity to visit, please don’t pass up the chance to experience this spot!
Mark M — Google review
The service was top notch, staff were attentive and accommodating. Appetizers of house soup and French onion were delicious. The potato tartine needs to be improved or phased out, a gallette or terrine would be a much better replacement. Salmon was perfect. Dessert platter with creme Brule and creme caramel was absolutely the highlight for my husband.
Jenni D — Google review
Our recent visit to Bistro Maison was disappointing. Service was unusually slow—despite requesting bottled water several times, it was never brought without repeated reminders. The waitstaff seemed inattentive and did not check in on us during the meal. We were surprised to see a 22% automatic gratuity added for a party of five, which felt excessive given the level of service. Additionally, our salads were served 15 minutes apart, requiring us to follow up to find out when the remaining ones would arrive. The foie gras, while flavorful, was overpriced considering the small portion size. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short.
Charlie B — Google review
We stumbled into Bistro Maison as a walk-in party of ten, and were instantly welcomed like honored guests. From the moment we were seated on the charming patio beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, the evening felt magical—summer dining at its finest. The service was outstanding: warm, personalized, and impressively knowledgeable. Our server even brought us individual fans to beat the heat—talk about thoughtful! We started with a round of their signature spritz drinks (highly recommend!), and then dove into a spread that showcased the menu’s range and excellence. From the refreshing gazpacho and tender pork chop to the deceptively simple bread and butter, every bite was phenomenal. Several of us opted for the prix fixe three-course dinner, and each dish was a masterpiece. But more than the food, what truly sets Bistro Maison apart is the atmosphere—like visiting family in the south of France who just happen to be incredible chefs. This place is an absolute gem. We’re already dreaming about our next visit.
Hailey M — Google review
Somehow I talked my boyfriend into going to this nice French restaurant after a long day of travel and wasn't sure if they would even seat us so late, but they were so gracious and didn't rush us through the meal at all. The food was excellent and by the time we left my boyfriend was so impressed, he wanted to return immediately. We will be back next time we visit for sure.
Becky B — Google review
Amazing place with great indoor/outdoor seating. Great for a night out or special occasion.

-Star Service That Made Our Meal Unforgettable I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Maison, and what truly stood out—beyond the delicious food—was the exceptional service from one of our servers, Nick. From the moment we were seated, he made us feel genuinely welcome, greeting us with a warm smile and a professional demeanor. He was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at just the right moments and making thoughtful recommendations from the menu that turned out to be perfect. They even remembered small details from earlier in our conversation and followed up in a way that made the experience feel personal and special. It’s rare to come across service that’s both efficient and heartfelt, and Nick truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening. I only wish we lived in Oregon, we would absolutely return just for the outstanding service alone. Highly recommend!
Jennifer D — Google review
On top of the incredible food and the lovely atmosphere… the service was genuinely above and beyond. They even brought out a dog bed for our pup and some treats (super cute patio, btw). The wine list was impressive. Just an all around great experience.

Latin American restaurant
Pura Vida Cocina is a laid-back restaurant that serves a variety of traditional Latin American dishes, including tacos and ceviche. Founded by Ricardo Antunez and Carmen Borrase, the eatery reflects their passion for Latin American cuisine and Costa Rican arts and crafts. The restaurant's interior is inviting, allowing both the food and art to take center stage. Emphasizing the use of locally sourced seasonal ingredients, Pura Vida's menu boasts an array of delectable flavors.
Great little place that serves up fresh and super tasty food and drinks. All the tacos are excellent but the unanimous vote was the shrimp tacos were best! The fried avacado is alvo very tasty and healthy dish. Go check them out!
Ron T — Google review
I had beef tacos and chicken enchiladas. The tacos were delicious, the enchiladas were okay but too many extras, looked like a pile of ingredients piled up. Very hard to find server. No service mostly. Parking on street
William L — Google review
Enjoyed a nice, tasty dinner here on a weekday evening. There are some creative ingredients in the dinner options, although portion size is not ample. Service was quick and friendly. Our server was able to answer questions in detail. No rainbow flag displayed. Not sure if this is oversight or rebellion since it seems like it's almost mandatory in town. We don't necessarily care to be part of someone else's lifestyle/worldview statement, so it's one of the reasons we chose this place.
David B — Google review
The staff and chefs at Pura Vida care. They care about service and quality of food. The presentation and preparation is always delightful. The combination of flavors and textures is always so perfect. I've had nearly everything on the menu, and in my opinion can't go wrong with anything. I prefer the salads and tacos--they are my go to. They also offer a combination of optional sauces that are amazing and go with pretty much anything on the menu. McMinnville is lucky to have a restaurant like this. Great location, friendly staff, great food, and even an outdoor seating option! I would highly recommend trying it out if you are in town and want to adventure into some great tasty flavorful foods!
Jason W — Google review
Best tacos we’ve ever had. You have to try both the pork belly and Alaska cod by ordering the combo. They make a mean margarita too and have great local art on the walls.
Janice F — Google review
We have only been here twice but have had great experiences both times. We stopped in for a quick lunch the first time, the service was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. We brought my dad there the second time and once again, great service(they even remembered us from the first time and asked if we had recently been in for lunch) and of course the food was great as well. Overall just a great experience, no complaints, we will for sure be back :) (The portions were also very generous-my husband stole the other half of the sandwich but it was also a generous portion)
Parker W — Google review
We’ve been to this restaurant several times because we love the margaritas and tacos and taquitos. Honestly the service is slow. But this time, we waited for our appetizers, they finally brought our entrees and still no margaritas. Very disappointed. The guacamole has mayonnaise or sour cream or something in it. Not our fav. Anyhoos probably won’t go back.
Lisa M — Google review
Wonderful costomer service, was fast and efficient. They are welcoming and friendly. Good tasty food. Got the chili relleno, it was very good, but I was surprised cause it was more like a salad. Had the Cubano sandwich and it was delicious and cheesy could have had more pickles and mustard. I Will go again because there are more things I want to try on the menu.

La Rambla Restaurant & Social Room is a Spanish eatery located in the heart of McMinnville's historic downtown. The restaurant, named after the famous street in Barcelona, offers a welcoming atmosphere and serves Spanish cuisine with a Pacific Northwest twist. Housed in an 1884 brick building, the venue features dark mahogany decor, a copper-topped bar, and hand-blown light fixtures.
Very delicious tapas place! The drinks were all so good, with an extensive menu. The tapas are true to its name and on the smaller side - which we expected - so we got to try a number of things. Highly recommend the croquetas - they were definitely the star. I’m not sure I’d get the lamb kebabs again but they weren’t bad. The Brussel sprouts were my second favorite.
Jen R — Google review
Excellent food with a friendly and professional staff. The dates were an obvious favorite. The pork belly was a perfect blend of crispy and tender with the squid legs being so tender and immersed in its own flavor. *chefs kiss. The outdoor seating was pleasant and the over experience was one of a perfect summer evening meal.
Kevin — Google review
Do not miss this restaurant! We had bacon wrapped dates, baked goat cheese, garlic shrimp, fried artichoke hearts with garlic aioli, flan for dessert. I would recommend going for happy hour, 4-6, deals on tapas. The tasting rooms for the wineries seem to close around 4:00, so go on over for happy hour after wine tasting. Great service, nice atmosphere.

Notice: Long Review. It's not often I am surprised by a restaurant. Too many aspire and don't deliver. For a super-taster the world IS aromas and flavors and nuance. We visited La Rambla in McMinnville for the first time recently, and it left a strong impression—enough that we’re already planning a return. The space feels warm and inviting, with exposed brick, soft lighting, and a layout that encourages lingering. It’s stylish without being pretentious, which is exactly the kind of balance I appreciate. We started with the Oregon Mushroom Flatbread, and it was a standout. Earthy, aromatic mushrooms layered over a crisp base, with just the right amount of cheese and herbs to let the local ingredients shine. It felt seasonal and well-considered—like someone in the kitchen actually cares about flavor harmony. The Coffee-Dusted Grass-Fed Flat Iron Steak was another highlight. Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, it had a subtle bitterness from the coffee rub that played beautifully against the richness of the meat. The Calabrese aioli added a creamy, spicy kick that elevated each bite without overwhelming the dish. A Rioja Reserva or a bolder Pinot Noir are just the thing. It’s the kind of pairing that shows restraint and creativity in equal measure. We also tried the Sauteed Garlic Chili Shrimp, which brought a nice pop of heat and brightness. The shrimp were tender and well-seasoned, and the garlic-chili combo gave it a bold, satisfying flavor. It’s a dish that would pair well with a crisp Albariño or even a dry rosé—something to cut through the spice and complement the seafood. The Mixto Plate gave us a chance to sample a few other bites—jamón, manchego, chorizo, figs, quince and more. It’s a solid choice if you want to graze and sip wine while chatting. Speaking of wine, the list leans thoughtfully into both Spanish selections and local Oregon producers. I appreciated that it wasn’t just the usual suspects; there were some interesting bottles I’d love to explore next time. I also look forward to seeing Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva added to the selection. Overall, La Rambla delivered a meal that felt both grounded and inspired. The flavors were layered but approachable, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy. For a first visit, it hit all the right notes—and we’re looking forward to going back to try more.

Stopped in on whim because every other restaurant in town had huge wait times and lines due to the ufo event over the weekend. I am so glad we did. Drinks were great, food was incredible, service was delightful. We were immediately seated with no wait. Everything we had was great. Highly recommend the steak empanadas!
Justin A — Google review
Food is great! Feels like in Spain. If you order the paella, make sure you order a decent amount of starters so you don’t get bored waiting for it. Don’t skip dessert, either.
Abbie Q — Google review
Decided to travel here from Salem for dinner with friends and we were not disappointed! One of us had already visited and suggested we go. The food was all delicious in the green beans with walnuts was hands-down my favorite!
Kathryn S — Google review
Best paella I've ever had. Excellent food in a beautiful restaurant in gorgeous McMinville. We also ordered the scallops with romesco, bread and olive oil, mushrooms, and grilled octopus. All were excellent. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked, tender with some light char. It simply can't be cooked any better. The scallops were also perfect. The romesco was light and flavorful. And the paella had the perfect balance of seafood and savory from chicken and chorizo. The service was great, unrushed, and the delivery of dishes was spaced well. Great restaurant that we will return to again!

Nick's Italian Cafe is a charming and cozy restaurant that has been a staple in McMinnville since 1977. This beloved spot has earned the prestigious American Classics Award from the James Beard Foundation, known for its warm atmosphere and delicious Italian cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. The menu features must-try dishes like the Oregon Dungeness crab lasagna, hand-cut tagliatelle pasta with gorgonzola dolce cream, and a bone-in rib eye for two.
We are visiting McMinnville and a friend recommended Nick’s. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff beyond friendly and accommodating. I ordered the halibut and it was delicious. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and ordered pizza. Unbelievably good. Every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen we wanted to try! We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Italian with a modern twist.
Sabreena M — Google review
We had such a great experience at nicks!!! Everything we ordered was amazing and had great flavor. We ordered many different things for the table but what I really loved was the chicken. Since we ordered many different things I had most of the chicken boxed up because I was so full. Once we got to the car I opened the box and ate some chicken. I normally will take leftovers and leave them in my fridge until trash day. This was the first time I’ve ever ate food I took togo before I could even get back home and was still quite full. I definitely recommend getting a reservation here and trying a few different menu items as everything we had was amazing.
De L — Google review
We went two nights in a row because the food was that good—between the half chicken, halibut, and pizza, everything was beautifully cooked and plated. The highlight was the chef came out to personally check on us and talk about the menu. You can really taste the pride and passion in every dish!
Scott W — Google review
Definitely on the rotation. Fantastic food, broad and deep wine list. You can spend $50, or spend $400, depending on what kind of dining experience you're looking for. Dressy in the front, overalls in the back. Nothing not to like.
Marc D — Google review
i only took one photo of our meal and it’s just the appetizers, however overall this was a great experience! the menu isn’t too large, but there’s a good amount of classic dishes to choose from. there are a handful of good options for non meat eaters too! to start off, we ordered the smoked salmon crostini’s and the burrata, which were both very delicious. definitely shareable if you’re looking for a lighter start. we hadn’t really eaten all day so we cleaned all of our plates! for our entrees we got the raviolis and the wood fired chicken. both dishes were beautifully plated and tasty! i felt the dishes were well seasoned and all of the flavors worked very well together; my singular note on the food is just that it could’ve used a touch more acidity. a squeeze of lemon or some added zest in the sauce would’ve made them perfect! compliments to the chef. our server, Nick, was super pleasant and clearly very knowledgeable about the restaurant. he was attentive and super nice; definitely the kind of person to go above and beyond for his guests. we couldn’t have asked for more when it came to the service! everyone was very sweet. desserts were lovely, no notes there! classic italian food with a lovely PNW twist. they have quite the extensive wine list and we were surprised to see they offer 30% off all bottles most of the week! if you’re ever worried about not being able to finish a whole bottle, just get it anyways and take home whatever you don’t finish. overall, this was a lovely experience and we’ll definitely be back to try more and check out their bar! Nick’s is a great spot for locals or those traveling the valley for a nice, laid back, tasty dinner out.
Talia J — Google review
Our group of girls had a nice dinner at Nick’s! The burrata with tomatoes, beets and apples was the perfect starter. I got the roast chicken, which was juicy and perfectly cooked. But the winning meal at our table was the fusilli primavera with marscapone cheese sauce. Highly recommend!
Chelsey N — Google review
We found this place after walking out of another Italian place where the menu didn't at all match what it showed online, and stumbled across Nick's. We were checking out the menu outside and Nick came out and told us about his restaurant, his favorites, and how he'd love to have us as guests. We sat down, ordered the chicken flatbread which was excellent, I ordered the Veal Antonio which was exceptional. The veal was cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection, the breading was light with great flavor, and the aged balsamic on the plate was a great touch! My brother and sister in law got the tagliatelle which they both very much enjoyed. The service was out of this world, and the food was even better than that. This is easily some of THE best Italian food I've ever had in my entire life, if not the best I've ever had. If I was local, I would be here all the time, it's that good. Nick and his crew/chef's really knocked this experience out of the park! Easy 10/10 in every aspect! I highly recommend giving the Veal Antonio a try!

Nick’s Italian Café – McMinnville, OR We made last-minute reservations through RESY and the choice was absolutely spot-on. From the moment we arrived, the team treated us promptly and warmly, seating us at a perfect two-top. I asked our server if we could rotate the table to sit next to each other, and she accommodated without hesitation — a small gesture that immediately set the tone for the evening. The menu offered an incredible range of options, but we decided to go with the four-course dinner, which turned out to be a great decision. Each dish arrived beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, showing real care and intention from the kitchen. The front of house was run seamlessly by just two people, while the bar and kitchen — also with minimal staff — moved in complete harmony. You can see the kitchen in action, and it’s clear everyone knows their rhythm. The entire experience felt personal, professional, and genuinely crafted with pride. Nick’s Italian Café delivers that rare mix of small-town charm and refined execution. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed yet exceptional dining experience in McMinnville.

McMenamins Hotel Oregon is a vibrant and relaxed downtown hotel known for its lively pub-style restaurant and trendy rooftop bar. The spacious guestrooms are adorned with mismatched antique furnishings and quirky artwork, some of which offer shared bathrooms. The hotel's friendly atmosphere and affordable rates create a great buzz among guests. Located in the heart of downtown, the rooms are named after local places and people, adding to the unique charm of the hotel.
What a beautiful place. We had lunch on the rooftop and the wait staff didn't miss a Beat. They're drink menu is phenomenal the food menu was perfect for a lunch in the afternoon on the roof. This particular organization can do no wrong in my eyes as far as providing great food and drink for people all over the state of Oregon. That's why we always go to McMenamins in Bend where we live. If you're looking for a great time with your friends and family or you have a business luncheon or dinner this is the place to go. McMenamins keep doing a phenomenal job I'm so proud of you as a resident here in Oregon.

We went all the way to the top for the Wonderful views, and the service was sparse, even though there was lots of staff available while our waitress was very helpful. The rest of the staff were very nonchalant about wanting to assist us on anything, the drinks at this chain are always three out of five stars, and we ordered tater tots as a appetizer, we decided after waiting for 45 minutes for the tater tots that it was probably not worth it, I would go up and have a drink here again on the rooftop for the views but other than that, the place seems to be lacking in service

Stayed with my friend last Sunday night (Labor Day weekend). The hotel was beautiful & the bed was quite comfy. The lady that was working down in the cellar bar ignored my friend & I while we stood there at the bar waiting for 10 minutes. Two women came up next to us & she immediately went to them & helped them. And then ignored us again & went to the other side of the bar. We decided to go somewhere else 🤷‍♀️ The location is beautiful, but it you want good service I would go to the blue moon lounge right down the street. It’s also a historical building & the service was a lot better.

Location was great. We were able to walk to lots of places to get wine or food. There is free parking two blocks away at a nearby parking deck. The theme is eclectic and really gives “Haunted Mansion” vibes. Our room had its own bathroom, but was much smaller than I was expecting. We made do. It is a very old building so clearly nothing will “look” super clean, but after our first night in the room I had bites all over my legs. I assume either fleas or bed bugs. We won’t be staying there again if we come back to the area.
CJ L — Google review
We went to the rooftop for cocktails and some food and there was only one server. It was very busy he did a good job for just being by himself but they always need to have more servers up there. Especially on a holiday weekend
S S — Google review
We stayed for one night in one of the queen bed rooms with shared bathroom. We love staying at Mcmenamins so it sort of just is what it is with the shared bathroom but I almost never run in to people so it’s not a big deal and they are clean and nicely maintained. I had my mountain bike with me and the front desk did offer to keep it stored in the basement so I didn’t need to leave it on my truck but there was actually a nice space for it in the room so I kept it there. Throughout our stay a nice gentleman named Cody was never our server at any point but welcomed us at the door and when we ate at the rooftop bar he was attentive, friendly, and offered our 1 year old some orange slices which she really enjoyed and allowed us some time to enjoy our meal. Coffee and breakfast was relaxing and the sunset and views from the roof were phenomenal.

Even with no bathroom in rooms, they're still nice comfortable and clean rooms. Each room is individually themed. Mason Jar in rooms to.bring beer back to your room. Friendly staff throughout the property. Went down.to pub around 5pm to inquire about coffee. Bartender was really friendly and helpful and allowed me to sit at a table and enjoy a cup of coffee even though that's all I ordered. Conveniently located in downtown, walking distance to local shops.
Christopher T — Google review
We've stayed in a couple McMenamins properties over the years, and we've always enjoyed them. We understood that they weren't the most polished, but what they lacked in nicer touches was made up for with unique decor, excellent onsite amenities, and a great staff. Not sure if it's just this spot specifically or that we're becoming a bit too bougie, but this property is ok at best, and borderline disappointing. The furniture in our room was tired. The decor was sparse. The bath towels smelled like mildew (we got fresh ones from housekeeping, who admitted they had switched to a new launderer and we're having issues). The bed was worn out. They provide complimentary coffee on the mornings, but when I went to get a cup, both coffee pots and the cream were empty. They did replace them when I asked, but it shouldn't take me asking these things. The rooms don't have irons, so I asked for one from the front desk. I followed the person to the closet where stored on my floor, and the woman pulled a dirty board and heavily used iron out of a completely cluttered and filthy closet. Some of the staff were super nice and helpful, but others (including the servers in the pub) were clearly unhappy with their jobs and had no interest in being pleasant to me. I used to be such a fan of the entire McMenamins concept. But I think I'm done with that. I will say that the location is good if you're trying to stay in wine country, but I'm sure there are other places.

Thistle is a chic American bistro and cocktail bar located in downtown McMinnville. Owned by Chef Eric Bechard and Emily Howard, it has been recognized as an award-winning venue, including being named The Oregonian's 2011 Restaurant of the Year. The restaurant offers farm-to-fork cuisine with an ever-changing menu that highlights fresh, in-seasonal produce sourced from local providers.
Came here for a birthday dinner and I can’t say enough. You walk in and the space is so warm and cozy, you feel like you’re walking into a friend’s living room. That said, there’s separate partitions so it maintains a very intimate feel. The food - the menu is pretty limited but this just works to highlight how seasonal and special each dish being served is. We had the pasta which was fantastic. The rabbit risotto dish was the real star. The meat was not gamey at all, perfectly roasted with that snappy crisp. The risotto and veggies somehow was my favorite part of that dish - I would have just ordered that as a stand alone. 🥁 okay but have you ever had a PEANUT BUTTER PIE? Masterful magnificent glory. 10/10

Very interesting experience, menu limited and changes almost every day, but very delicious, desert are limited. Steak was great, tuna tartar excellent. Cesar was kind a creative and unique. Not like usual. I would prefer stick to the usual recipe with romaine lettuce. But it was a nice experience.

I came to Thistle with high expectations, given its reputation, but left wondering how it continues to earn such glowing praise. We began with the Bread and Fat—lardo and Raspberry Butter—which was creative. The Ribeye and Gnocchi followed. On taste alone, the kitchen shows skill, but the execution and overall experience fell short. The Ribeye was advertised as 15oz, yet what arrived looked closer to 10oz, with nearly a third of it inedible fat and gristle. The Gnocchi was pleasant enough, but hardly memorable. The dining environment, however, was the real disappointment. The room was very dark and poorly lit, making it difficult to even see the food clearly. The space itself felt cramped and exceedingly loud, with tables packed tightly together. Our server carried a noticeable odor, which was hard to ignore in such close quarters. The bathroom situation was equally uncomfortable: a thin, hollow door with a tiny latch separating diners from the restroom, just steps away from one of the main seating areas. It all felt more like a neglected afterthought than a deliberate design choice. For the price point and the acclaim, I expected a more cohesive and comfortable experience. Instead, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and distracting, the portions questionable, and the setting neglected. While the flavors had promise, the overall evening was awkward, hyped and underwhelming. We won’t be returning.

My partner and I had a wonderful evening after the local vineyards all afternoon. Walked in with no reservations but got a nice intimate table in the bar side. The drink menu was hand made and menu was on a chalkboard. This is my kind of place. The atmosphere was lovely and had the perfect Oregon welcoming vibe. All the employees made you feel welcomed and knew exactly what they were doing. I had the Strip Loin steak dish and I can confidently say this was one of the best steaks I have ever had at a restaurant. I asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. I wanna genuinely say thank you Thistle for a highlight of my weekend getaway trip for my partner and I. We will definitely be back. 🥩🔥❤️

Thistle is the kind of place that reminds you what food is supposed to do...ground you, wake up your senses, and make you present. On the evening we were there, we tried several things on the menu. The salade niçoise was perfect. The NY strip was AMAZING, the bread, the fat., the dessert..all of it was really tasty and memorable! The drinks they make are creative and delicious...my favorite is the 12,000 Moons, perfectly balanced in all the right ways. They're not just farm-to-table on paper...they know their farmers, they know the land, and you taste that care in every bite. Patrick and his staff are wonderful. The space itself feels cozy, warm, intentional, alive without trying too hard. I can't wait to visit again. I highly recommend Thistle! Go!

Stunning, brilliant meal. The chef has relationships with local farms and purveyors which inspire every dish. The essence of local and seasonal. Our dishes included Netarts Bay oysters, warm bread with fresh, creamy lardo (had a hint of warming spices) complimented by a pairing of raspberry compound butter, then ribeye with blackberry verde sauce, roasted potatoes, and creamy esquite- a flavor combo that is exciting and delicious all at once. The green salad was beautiful- with housemade pickled strawberries and toasted hazelnuts. To finish this perfect meal- an apple shortcake with maple chantilly. It tasted like the fall season saying hello. Absolutely divine food.

Wow! The freshest local food served by the most passionate people. My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon, and we were recommended this gem - and I'm so glad. The food and wine would have been special on their own, but we were spoiled by the owner, Patrick, and staff with true hospitality. Thank you! Highly recommend

Locally sourced and fresh ingredients make amazing food. Creative kitchen made gnocchi with peppers and chimmichuri (?) that was amazing, oysters with an tart mignonette and don't miss the ' Bread and Fat' - how could that not be awesome?!

Serendipity Ice Cream is a charming old-fashioned ice cream parlor that not only serves up delicious sweet treats but also has a heartwarming mission. Established in 2000 by a nonprofit organization, this scoop shop employs adults with developmental disabilities, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The Victorian furnishings and vintage photos on the walls add to the nostalgic ambiance, while the sound of a player piano fills the air.
Great little sweet shop. Looks like a parlor from the past. Had a cute little piano playing tunes by its self. Lost of delicious ice cream flavors to choose from. And of course don't forget the toppings.

sweet shop! cute interior and exterior, yummy ice cream flavors available. sugar cone, waffle cone, or wafer cone. smells like fresh waffle cones inside!
Allison — Google review
One of my favorite places to get a quick hit of nostalgia & I've cream. Love the atmosphere & the player piano. My grandma had one in her little store when I was little. The only thing that would make this place better is if they made their own ice cream. But the prices are decent & service is good.
Kristen S — Google review
Absolutely love this place in town! The service is always so wonderful and the girls (sometimes a boy) that work there, are fabulous. I always get a brownie sundae/"Serendipity Surprise." Those that are curious what I get, here it is (if you want to try for yourself!): - Brownie - 2 Scoops of moose tracks or cookie dough or cookies and cream - 1 Scoop of vanilla - Light fudge - Heavy Caramel (I mean almost drowning) - Medium Peanut Chunks - Light Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - Medium M and M's The two young ladies from 9/5/2024 last night at around 8pm, were wonderful! This sundae typically lasts me 2-3 days! This business is people of colour friendly! Cheers!!!

Absolutely fantastic! The ice cream was delicious (highly recommend maple nut), and the cones were sooo good. They make at least their waffle cones fresh in-house, so the entire building smells like waffle cones-- delectable 🍦 The store itself is super cute and cozy, and they have this really cool player piano. There isn't a huge amount of seating, but there is some, and it's also right on a nice street in downtown McMinnville. They're open fairly late, which is amazing, and the wait wasn't too long when we went (pretty close to closing time), but I imagine it could get pretty crowded earlier in the evening or when there's nicer weather.
Ava B — Google review
Lovely young humans helped us today. The ice cream is affordable and delicious. The atmosphere relaxing, clean, safe, in a historical building. I love loved the player piano and the old light fixtures!

Lots of ice cream choices. They don't have much setting, but the environment makes up for it. The safe was very friendly. It's a wonderful place to get ice cream or another kind of goodie. My husband and I got our ice cream to go and walked around the old town area (there are a lot of wonderful shops and restaurants).

Regular ice cream, good but not out of this world, teen servers can have attitudes or give uncomfortable stares. Cute place to enjoy a snack and hang out. Atmosfere and aesthetic needs some work done and upgrading. Piano is still cute to look at.

From cinnamon snails and coffee cakes to croissants, scones, turnovers, and their renowned macaroons, there's something to satisfy every craving.
Absolutely worth the money. We came in on a recommendation for their pastries and ended up staying for lunch because it’s chilly out. The soups are all great quality and really hit the spot. Bread is fresh and soft with a crunchy crust, the olive oil drizzle just elevated it so much more. Macarons are chewy and dreamy. The whole place has such a delightful and welcoming vibe. 10/10 do recommend.

I adored the asthetic and atmosphere. If you are looking for a place to get breakfast or lunch in the area, I recommend this nook. The French dip was gourmet, the coffee was fresh and tasty, and the staff was very friendly. The pastry was tasty too but I think I just came at a bad time as the pastries seemed a bit dry. The lighting was also a bit dim. But otherwise, I was very happy to have found this place!

Great service and tasty artisan bread! 😀 These folks were willing to go the extra mile and look up recipes online to try their hand making a special Greek Tsoureki loaf which has significance in celebrating Greek Orthodox Easter this coming weekend. Thank you guys 😊 See pics of fabulous Tsoureki Bread and how it is traditionally served. Great Job Red Fox! 👏 Thanks again. 😁

Great customer service and wonderful selection of baked goods as well as coffees and teas! They aren’t following the mask mandate so I guess it depends on where you stand on that on the safety and comfort level of going in. I wore mine and left after ordering. 😷
Aspen B — Google review
Eat here often since they are near the office. Great sandwiches, bread and pastries. But get there early for the pastries, as they sell out quickly. Same for the bread.

Thinking of going here for breakfast on a weekday morning? Stay home or go on the weekend when you may have a better experience. Front staff arguing with cooks, burnt food and no masks on any of staff. Disappointing.

Best paninis I've had in a while with choice of bread and quality ingredients. Had the Cubano which included turkey, ham, cheese, pickles, and pickled onions. Nice choice of loaves with both your typical flavors and some different ones too. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great little find!
Tom C — Google review
Expensive, very expensive. I had a turkey sandwich that was good yet comparable to other restaurants. A bag of cookies was $10 and yes, they were large and tasty...I would not purchase again. The staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to give information about the store and ingredients. Lots of off-street parking, clean, handicap accessible.

This is a nice little shop. I feel it comes across as a comfy local place. Prices are more than a burger joint but worth it due to the better quality food. The employees are nice and give good service. We stopped on a Monday right before lunch and left happy with the stop.My wife had a Reuben sandwich and I had a BLT, both of them on whole wheat. We also had a Carmel apple bar along with a free slice of brownie. Needless to say we didn't finish it all. We'd recommend a stop here

Visitors can enjoy a range of beer options from hoppy to lager to stouts, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Fantastic experience here! Gluten-Free Heaven. The donuts were super fluffy, and the pretzel was spot on. We also got a basket of beer battered fries with platypus sauce and the vegan ranch that were delightfully crispy. The staff gave immensely queer vibes, and the entire place felt very safe. There's some card games available to play if you're feeling froggy, and artwork everywhere that seemed like it was available for purchase. It sounds like they have events too, which we'll definitely come back for ❤️ Plus, they have a to-go freezer!!! How amazing is that?? Prices were *very* reasonable too. 10/10 will come back!

We discovered Bierly Brewing today in McMinnville, OR and really enjoyed our experience! Delicious gluten free food! We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with bacon and French fries and a special grilled cheese with bacon and fried pickles. The gluten free burger bun was fantastic, a touch chewy on the bottom and melt in your mouth everywhere else, enough mushrooms to let you know you’re eating a mushroom burger with melty Swiss cheese. The grilled cheese was also amazing, the gluten free bread had been expertly carmelized and the melty inside cheese included Brie… you need to try it if you’re a Brie fan! Everything was delightful! We also enjoyed the guava lemonade, tart and flavorful. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are friendly and welcoming, too! Looking forward to coming back!
Angela L — Google review
We just came for the alien parade and decided to get some snacks so we could use their bathroom and sit outside at the table. We did not expect was that it would be the absolute best donuts we’ve ever had in our life. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and I do not know how they could possibly be gluten free. The maple bar was amazing. The matcha one was filled with what tasted like fresh homemade strawberry jam. If you like donuts, this is worth the drive.

Two of my favorite things!!! Donuts and Beer!!! And all are not only great tasting but they are also Gluten Free!!! I can live again! Thank you Bierly Brewing for existing! I will be back. Often.

The shop is clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are relatively reasonable. We bought the Macha- strawberry and chocolate glazed donuts. These are amazing gluten-free, dairy free options.
Adam W — Google review
It's like winning the gluten free lottery! WOW, gluten free pretzels, donuts, baguettes, sausages, dairy free cheese, and other tasty food. And then there's 8 gluten free beers on tap!!! I started going to Bierly Brewing about four years ago in a postage stamp sized location. The husband and wife team who started Bierly had big plans and are now located on the east end of 3rd Street in McMinnville (the street where many of McMinnville's finest restaurants are located). I'll never forget the Mom carrying her infant on her hip while she went about completing work duties. I've returned a number of times to Bierly Brewing since writing the above review and want to add a few things: Bierly won the Gold Medal for the best gluten free Stout in Oregon, and I seriously challenge anyone to tell the difference between their Stout and one with gluten. Secondly, their gluten free chocolate chip cookies are the best I've ever had in my 77 years... and their sandwiches and donuts are totally yummy! Check out the pics I took tonight. I went back this past weekend and had their chicken salad sandwich on the gluten free bread Bierly makes themselves...you can't go wrong. This time I tried their French fries and once again Bierly blew my mind with a whole different take on their fries! Not only do the fries taste uniquely wonderful, the honey mustard dip made them even better!

Love the 100% gluten free and being able to relax for gf intolerance. We had corn dogs and cider this visit. Our only regret, we came on a Thursday to catch the local farmers market. We forgot Thursday is a short day, and a limited menu. We will plan Friday Saturday next time. 🙂
