Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque bay in the vibrant town of Hermanus, Burgundy Restaurant stands out as a beloved local gem. With its stunning ocean views and inviting atmosphere, it’s no wonder that visitors often find themselves waiting to savor its culinary delights. The restaurant boasts an outdoor seating area shaded by trees and umbrellas, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a refreshing craft beer or a glass of exquisite local wine.
Hake, line fish, calamari, all with a huge portion of potato served.. portion of everything is big. Nice.. service is good, friendly, great scenery, lovely companions in portrait.. we loved it
Christina C — Google review
Absolutely amazing! We started off with the Springbok Carpaccio, which I could not recommend enough. We then had the lamb ribs and seafood pasta. The lamb might just be the best lamb I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The lamb is juicy and just falls apart in your hands.
Joni B — Google review
We ordered seafood platter for 2, it arrived super quickly, our food sat for a few minutes whilst our waiter fetched us our plates. We did ask for the extra line fish, it was presented well. We loved the grilled calamari tubes, hake and line fish, everything else wasn’t hot which was a real shame.
Adam B — Google review
Our favourite restaurant in the whole world!!! We arrived as strangers and left as friends! This restaurant makes the best seafood pasta ever! Most amazing culinary experience with the best service!
Jacomien W — Google review
“Above and beyond” - it is rare to find people who care like this in the world of hospitality. A simple breakfast with my family was elevated to a memorable experience by staff who know what they are doing and care. Well done!
Dayle G — Google review
Father's day lunch. Lovely setting, close to the ocean. Ordered different meals of which the best was the hake/calamari combo. The oxtail was ok as was the meat balls and mash, the two specials for the day. We were unfortunate to be seated close to an extremely loud patron that basically prevented out table from conversing but I suppose that's the luck of the draw.
Chris B — Google review
Great service, great food, beautiful view! We went for breakfast at Burgundy and enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner. We had the Eggs Benedict (which was fantastic) whilst sitting outside with a beautiful view of the ocean. For dinner we had the Patagonian calamari and seafood pasta (both dishes were also great) and sat inside in a quiet and cosy setting at the back. What stood out for me especially was the kindness, care and hospitality that the waiters have. Apart from our own waiter, I observed the same in the rest of the team as well and was very impressed. Will definitely want to return!
Talitha L — Google review
Great location overlooking the sea lovely view views and great for both nature watching and people watching!. I was only drinking but some of the reviews have put me off eating food there, plus although the service was friendly, it was incredibly slow. Asked twice for the bill, wasn’t forthcoming, one person serving, three other guys standing round talking. The guy who was serving me at ask someone else to get my check several times as they were too busy engaging with each other. Despite the fabulous location, the level of hygiene witnessed outside was poor, food debris on the floor not cleared up, sugar sachets on the floor, serviettes on the floor, straw paper on the floor, not cleared up, with waiters walking past and not clearing. Tables cleared despite now and sitting there. A shame as this could be an amazing venue with the right attention and care from the staff. See pictures on the food debris on the floor. I mentioned that Service was poor and slow when I paid and was surprised that a tip was still expected. No response to my comment.

Family restaurant
La Pentola is a chic restaurant in Hermanus known for its great service, incredible food, and stunning views of Walker Bay. Chef Shane Sauvage leads the kitchen, offering a fusion of fresh seafood, exotic game dishes, and delightful vegetarian options. The menu includes daily caught seafood, prime beef cuts, light lunch options, and decadent desserts. Diners can enjoy South African fusion cuisine while taking in the breathtaking sight of Walker Bay's Southern Right whales' birthing ground.
Another one of my favorite restaurants. This place, however..... OMG... The Best of the best. The food is made with so much love, the view is amazing and the staff are so friendly.
Kotie G — Google review
Food quality was tasty amd good. Name is Italian for the pan, however the focus is seafood dishes. One italian dish in vegetetian section shocked me. The chicken dishes were tasty. Alex was the waiter....mmm i asked his name so i could use it to call him of need be....he asked for ours which i thought was unecessary and cocky. He had a thorough knowledge of specials which was great, but i think it tool 5 minutes to get through....way long. I beleive your table settings like salt and pepper should match your pricing which os on the high end of restaurants we visited in Hermanus. Please look at your wine glasses they are huge not elegany or appropriate for red wine never mind white. Go to Hasher wine farm and buy those wine glasses elegant and approptiate for wine exceeding R500 a bottle. Would love to have seen Tiramisu on tge dessert menu.
Justin C — Google review
It’s a relatively low-key restaurant that does not overtly attract too much attention. It’s small and cozy with an amazing view of the bay. The food is intricately designed. It was an interesting menu with a unique combination of flavours. Foodies would love it. Overall the vibe is quite chilled and relaxing. It’s all about the food and company. They have an excellent wine selection. A great place to bond with good friends over spectacular views, food and wine.
Gerhard S — Google review
Guilty to have gone here twice in the last month coincidentally. So good. Every time. Crocodile carpaccio so unexpectedly delicious. Springbok carpaccio absolutely delicious. Escargot good, however the duck phyllo pastry was next level, so flavourful with such tender meat. I’ve had the prawns there more than once and you can’t go wrong. They’re the perfect portion served on a bed of rice. Fillet delicious and cooked perfectly. Ended off with a Lindt salted caramel chocolate fondant which I would go back for alone. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus! It’s a great date night spot or a family friendly restaurant.
Jenna L — Google review
WoW ... an amazing evening spent for my birthday. We were welcomed with a glass of Champagne, organised by my husband. Beautiful views and the restaurant is stunning inside. We both ordered the 200g Fillet with veggies etc. Our meat was cooked to perfection, seriously I don't say this often. It was absolutely devine. Our waitress Gabriella was so caring, professional and competent. Saw to all our needs. Thank you so much Gabriella for taking care and adding to a very special evening for us. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's outstanding.
Suzarne J — Google review
Might have been the best seafood pasta I've ever had! (Portion so big it can serve 2)
Carmen L — Google review
Definitely one the best plate of prawns I have tried, this venue offers comfort, a view and quality prepared meals. It is on the pricey side but the taste bud tingle is all worth it. Cue your happy dance for good food.
Shonese B — Google review
We booked on the recommendation of our guest house host as we only had one night in Hermanus. We rang late in the afternoon for a table for 6 later that same day. It was no trouble and they fitted us in without issue. When we arrived we'd be allocated a lovely corner table right next to the windows overlooking the bay. Spin was our waiter, taking us through the specials board as well as bringing our drinks and ensuring we had everything else we might need. The food was absolutely delicious, a range of starters, mains and desserts were all enjoyed by the six of us, and Spin made sure we were happy with each course as we ate them. With full tummies and empty plates we all felt we'd had both excellent service and wonderful food. We would highly recommend La Pentola. Be aware, cash tips are retained by your waiter whilst tips you add through your credit card will be split by the whole team.

Bistro
Just Pure Bistro is a charming little bistro that takes pride in using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. The menu offers a variety of health-centric options including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-carb choices. From poke bowls to Vietnamese coffee and bunless burgers, there's plenty of variety to choose from. Situated overlooking an expansive bay, the bistro provides uninterrupted views while serving up the finest dishes made with the freshest ingredients.
One of the few bistros/cafe’s where you can see a view of the ocean. Lovely food, with a nice variety of interesting and standard lunch meals. I’d recommend their freshly pressed juices over a cup of coffee though as a bit of a coffee snob, but every thing else including their cheese cake is delicious. I had their salmon poke bowl today and it was delicious with plenty of salmon, radddish, avocado, roasted macadamias and delicious sticky rice. 10/10 for this dish!
Emma — Google review
The baked cheese cake was truly exceptional - creamy, rich, and utterly divine. The croissant was equally impressive, with layers of flaky pastry that simply melted in my mouth. Both were clearly made with love and care, and it showed in every bite. The dirty chai was a real treat, with the perfect balance of spices and espresso. It was rich, creamy, and utterly delicious.
Ameen B — Google review
A delightful stop. Just opposite the cliff path in Hermanus. Outside and inside setting. Little doggie was allowed outside. Very smart inside. The menu is vast, breakfast ends at 11.30. We had brunch. It's called a patteseri, not sure why as the only pastry available was a croissant..it was heavenly though Served with preserve and cheese and butter. Ginger tea and honey on the offer as well. A view of the ocean, added a unique touch.
Sybz S — Google review
A bad experience indeed. We entered at 15:25 and were immediately told at the door that they actually close at 4pm. No problem for us, I said, as we only came for a quick coffee and cake. At 15:40 the cleaner started mopping the floor around us, moving her bucket with filthy water all around our table while having a loud conversation with her colleague who was using the table next to us to fold & stack napkins or tablecloths. More people entered from the ocean side and were told by the cleaner that they need to sit somewhere else as she is busy there. Should cleaning and prep not be done after actual business hours? We had good coffee and great carrot cake within a disgusting atmosphere.
Renata J — Google review
This place turned out to be the perfect breakfast place for us. Huge variety of food and freshly pressed juices. The staff were fantastic. Located on marine drive with fab views of the bay. Definitely worth a visit. The owner was a lovely lady with a wealth of information on where to visit in surrounding towns, the whales common to the area, how to get a taxi. She was brilliant!
Dee C — Google review
Great bistro with excellent food. How hard is to make a fry egg? They managed to make it "Perfect". The breakfast was superb, great mushrooms, fry tomatoes and sausage. The bacon was good, perhaps not as crunchy as I like, but excellent nevertheless. Down size ? The coffee. The cappuccino was a coffee with milk, nothing close to a cappuccino l. The coffee as well as the hot chocolate were weak. Prices are in the higher-end, but the service, quality of food and view (just infront of the whale coast) justify it. Recommended.
Fabrizio D — Google review
I love just pure. I’ve been eating their amazing chicken salad since I was a little boy - would definitely recommend. Their breakfasts are also very good. I love the eggs benedict (I add bacon which makes it even more delicious). Just pure has a breathtaking view of the ocean. Their prices are also quite good. I would definitely recommend popping in at the gift shop to treat yourself or a buy a last minute gift.

Cute and Dainty looking, very relaxed vibe (we came in for breakfast) and I'm sure we'll visit again when we're in the area. Food was delicious and filling (I ordered the Benedict with smoked trout ribbons & hubby had the classic bistro breakfast)

Oskars Bakery is a popular spot located in Market Square, opposite the Red Sheds. It offers a versatile and exciting menu with friendly staff, making it a convenient choice in the heart of town. Additionally, Cocos cocktail lounge provides a great range of light meals and cocktails for those looking to enjoy the sunset over the ocean. Visitors praise Oskars for its excellent coffee, pastries, breakfast options, and sandwiches.
Been here a few times now. There's a delightful feel about the place, clean and bright. Excellent coffee plus interesting light bites to go with it. Order at the counter seems a good option. You don't have to wait to be served and you can readily judge how busy it is. And you leave when you're done. Works for me.

Had a wonderful time at Oscar's Bakery. Their coffee was recommended by a friend and they lived up to expectation. Great coffee. We topped it up with an apple slice and caramel cheesecake. All and all a wonderful experience.
Gerardt V — Google review
A hustling coffee shop in central Hermanus. We were on a weekend away and googled pet friendly coffee shops. The weather was great, and we sat outside. You have to order inside, they give you a number and wait in your order. We had breakfast croissants, which was delicious. The coffee was great. The lady behind the counter seemed a bit harried, but she managed a smile when I joked with her. The delivery was prompt and a really nice guy. All in all a delightful experience. Thank you
Sybz S — Google review
I really appreciate coffee shops which have a water fountain especially in places like Hermanus where the water from the tap comes from the mountain. It beats any bottled water and leaves no foot print. Well done.
Haris M — Google review
I have never been one to “order and the counter” when eating at a restaurant, so…. I must mention that the service was fast, and the food was tasty! The location is also good for a bite when doing other shopping.
Richard S — Google review
Good coffee and cakes, pity about unfriendly staff specifically behind counter lady. A friendly smile and a welcome greeting as your front of house would go a long way in creating a better experience.
Liz P — Google review
The food is delicious but the coffee is not that good it's about high roasted
Thuraya H — Google review
Shocking service. They not even full and i had to wait over 20 minutes for 2 coffees to arrive! Service unfriendly. Waited another 5 minutes to get my refund as i had to even prepay. Even at that time coffee still not ready. Don't bother unless you got all afternoon to wait

Flea & Street Markets
Hermanus Country Market is a vibrant Saturday morning market located at the Hermanus Cricket Club. Since 2006, it has been a gathering place for local vendors from the Overstrand area, offering an impressive variety of goods. Visitors can explore stalls featuring fresh organic produce, homemade delicacies, artisan breads, handmade cheeses, and much more. The market also boasts live music and a range of arts and crafts.
First time visiting and blown away. These guys don’t mess around. From sparkling wine and oysters for breakfast to all kinds of baked goods, each more mouthwatering than the next. And the most beautiful, fresh, organic veggies and fruits; a peach the size of a mini soccer ball. Best of all, no made in China trinkets in sight. Just 100% proudly South African hand crafted goods made with care and love. They make it very tempting to make the 90 minute drive on the regular.
Jacques C — Google review
First time visiting and truly impressed. Free entry and stalls selling everything from bubbly or beer and oysters for breakfast to all kinds of baked goods and Pizza. There were plenty of hand crafted goods, in SA. The only issue we had was being tempted into drinking a local beer at 11 am.
S H — Google review
I love food markets! Food - So many choices The pastry was to die for. Nachos were good not great. Prices of certain food is high (Typical food market) There are affordable food around though and drinks were also surprisingly affordable. The place is busy as every good market is but service is still fast and efficient. There is alot of seating available. Parking is plentiful.
Kaylin P — Google review
Local fresh produce, loads of interesting foods stalls and music. Seating at tables throughout.Lovely little market, they're going to need more space soon though! The queue for coffee and some food stalls were too long. I bought some beautiful vegetables and some fish dishes from one of the stalls.

Such a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere — filled with local crafts, delicious food, live music, and happy people. Great mix of handmade goods, fresh produce, and unique art. The food stalls are a real highlight (don’t miss the pastries or local coffee!), and there's something for everyone, including kids and pets. It’s the perfect Saturday morning spot to enjoy the local vibe and support small businesses. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Hermanus!

Small, casual market with many food stalls. We did a slow walk around and then relaxed on a bench with coffee and a pastry.

A really cozy and vibey country market offering an interesting mix of craft and food stalls and more... There was even an area for kids to sit in and hold puppies in their laps. What a great idea and mutually beneficial to the kids and pups. Lots of parking and easy to find too.

The Gallery Café is a charming restaurant with lovely outdoor seating in a cozy courtyard shaded by a beautiful tree and adorned with intriguing statues, creating an artsy atmosphere. The service, while friendly, was initially slow. However, the flourless dark chocolate cake was delicious. This outstanding café and deli in Hermanus offers fantastic service, a great ambiance, and delectable vegan options.
Great breakfast, beautifully presented and nice environment in the inner yard of an art gallery. Loved the calm environment and the yummy Focaccia. Would 100% recommend! The Gallery Breakfast was also very nice, could’ve been a slice of bread more though!

Great deli. It is vegan friendly. Went there twice during my two day stay in Hermanus. Had oat milk latte and mushroom and Ava on sourdough. Also had a vegan croissant. There were other good vegan options as well like a muesli breakfast bowl with fruit and coconut milk. The owner popped around and was very friendly as were the staff. Will definitely go again when I'm next in Hermanus.
Mark M — Google review
So good we went back again. Coffee shop is gorgeous with excellent coffee (choices of blends and oat milk available, always my criteria 😆). Cafe food was stunning. As a vegan I hardly ever get choice so it was very exciting to get a very tasty Vegan orange almond croissant fresh out of the oven and a build my own breakfast (potato rosti, avo, tomatoes, spinach, scrambled tofu). All the usual non-vegan breakfast favourites available too and the bakery outside also gorgeous. As is the very cute tree-lined, peaceful street with art galleries and book shop, very quaint. Top notch service was the icing on the cake.

Gallery Cafe and Deli in Hermanus is outstanding and captured our hearts from the moment we stepped inside. With its fantastic service, great ambiance, and delectable vegan options, it quickly became our go-to spot during our stay. Conveniently located within walking distance of everything in Hermanus, this hidden gem offers a beautiful bakery area with tables right next to the quiet road and pathway. It's the perfect spot to indulge in their freshly made pastries and enjoy a peaceful morning. The sit-down area at the back of the cafe provides even more options, all made fresh to perfection. While the vegan options at Gallery Cafe and Deli are truly delightful, it's important to note that the food appeals to everyone. In fact, our entire group loved the food so much that we ended up going back every single morning during our time in the area. The chefs' culinary skills are evident in every bite, and the flavors and freshness of their dishes are simply outstanding. The level of service provided by the staff members at Gallery Cafe and Deli is equally remarkable. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and taken care of. The combination of excellent food and exceptional service truly enhances the overall dining experience. In summary, Gallery Cafe and Deli in Hermanus is a must-visit for both vegans and non-vegans alike. With its delightful vegan options, irresistible charm, and attentive service, it quickly became our favorite spot in town. Whether you choose to sit in the beautiful bakery area or enjoy the sit-down experience at the back, you'll be treated to a wide variety of fresh and delicious dishes!

By far the BEST on the High Street! Wonderful breakfast and yummy cakes that I swore I mustn’t eat! But I have no regrets. Great service too.

Our first time at this restaurant, with beautiful outdoor seating in a quaint little courtyard under the shade of a gorgeous big tree. Intriguing statues give it an arty feel. We ordered the flourless dark chocolate cake, which was delicious but sadly, due to load shedding we had to forego the cappuccinos. Service was friendly but slow to start. We waited for 10 minutes before asking to be brought a menu and then a further 15 minutes passed before we flagged down a waitress to be able to place our order. Would like to experience this place again without loadshedding.

Onshore Eatery is a charming artisan bakery and eatery that offers freshly baked bread and a delightful selection of breakfasts, lunches, and tempting treats like pasteis de nata. Chef Rickey Broekhoven's expertise shines through in the superb quality of the food. Located near Marine Drive, this unpretentious spot is perfect for grabbing delicious sourdough, sweet treats, or enjoying a relaxed meal.
Discovered this breakfast gem in Hermanus, and will definitely be back asap! The food is insane! The atmosphere is much more calm than the restaurants closer to the towns centre. Coffee is really great!
Kate R — Google review
I treated myself to a Benedict breakfast with a side order of 'trout ribbons' and was disappointed to find a chunk of smoked trout on my plate. The portion was small with 'rustic' presentation but the taste was sensational. I was asked how I would like my poached eggs done and I asked for medium.. I was disappointed to receive the usual runny type but flavours melded beautifully. The coffee was average and service was sloppy, I did notice a power cut during my visit however so perhaps that impacted service. I believe there is better value for money to be had in Hermanus for breakfast, but I appreciated the distinctive flavours of the dish.

We stopped by Onshore after whale watching and it was such a lovely surprise! The toasties were super tasty, the coffee was excellent, and the cakes were fresh and delicious. The place feels really cosy, and the staff were warm and welcoming.

Biga Artisan Bakery Cafe is a great place to enjoy delicious artisan breads, pastries, cakes and brownies. They also serve excellent coffee and have a lovely outdoor seating area. The staff could be more attentive, but the food is definitely worth checking out!
Great venue and their chocolate mousse brownie cake is wonderful. Prices are very reasonable and the burgers are some of the best.

One of the best breakfasts we’ve had during our travels in South Africa. The Wednesday early bird breakfast was perfect! Tea/coffee, eggs, bacon, sourdough and tomato all for R60! Great service, a beautiful cafe with amazing art work and atmosphere. We loved the fire places and lots of outdoor seating. Only started getting busy around 10am. All of the bakery good were wonderful too! 10/10 experience, would highly recommend!!

Delicious fried fish and salad (I opted for no chips), enough for the very hungry or to share😆… with a delicious cappuccino. The pastries looked divine🫶🏻💓. I immediately made a reservation for the Sunday lunch. Thank you for friendly service.

We loved visiting Biga, it was such a lovely cozy atmosphere, especially with the fireplace in the corner! The breakfast specials they had were affordable and very yummy, the hot chocolate was the stuff of dreams! They also have a really nice variety of bakery items on offer, we tried the mini carrot cake and the mini apple pie, both were delicious!

Very Disappointed. When we arrived, we were greeted unenthusiastically. We did not feel welcome but could understand as the restaurant was fairly busy, even so there were at least 4 or 5 waitresses on duty. We found a table for 2 towards the back of the restaurant, near the kitchen. The table had not been cleared but we didn't mind. Our waitress, Margret, cleared a cup or two off the table and left, we moved everything else to the big empty table beside us after waiting a moment for her to come back. The table was sticky but we were understanding as we did chose to sit there. However, it would have been a kind gesture for her to offer to wipe down our table. Menus were put down without much word. It felt as if we were an inconvience. The coffee was exceptional and brought out within minutes. After we had ordered, we waited a while for our food to arrive. Food arrived beautifully but was ice cold which was a shame. During our meal, we watched the baker at work which was fantastic. Very impressed with the level of skill he showcased. Sadly not all were as professional, as we sat down, we watched a table having their order taken, while their waitress openly chewed gum. Fourtunalty our waitress did eventually give us a smile and was friendly, unfortunately it was only when it was time to pay. I was very dishartned as it was a sad start to what would have been a great birthday breakfast. I normally would not have written a review but I had great expectations, now all I am left with is disappointment and stomach ache. I do not recommend the restaurant although the bakery itself is lovely.

Great service combined with delicious food and coffee, highly recommended 👌🏼

Such a nice place, but needs a manager that is on top of things. Service is lack lustre, disinterested waiters, mediocre, cold pie and the coffee was just off. Bought a sweet treat for later, but it was basically icing with biscuit pieces in it. And a glazed cherry on top with an odd fishy smell. So much potential here though. Common guys, get it right!

Eden Cafe is a delightful spot that promises an enjoyable dining experience, whether you're stopping by for breakfast or lunch. Nestled at the entrance of Superspar Gateway in Hermanus, this cozy cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating on a charming elevated verandah. Guests rave about the friendly service and quick turnaround times, making it perfect for those on the go. The menu features mouthwatering options like fluffy omelettes and perfectly executed Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon, ensuring satisfaction with every bite.
I have visited Eden Cafe before. On my first visit I enjoyed a fluffy and light omelette full of fillings! This time around I chose Eggs Benedict - and once again I am very impressed. Perfect hollandaise sauce and crispy bacon were excellent! The service is quick and waiters are very friendly.

We order the food for takeways the pancakes were mushed together and taste bad we didnt get any cream or ice cream but instead got an slice of lemon the sandwich was burnt and soggy from all the oils the cookies and cream milkshake taste weird as they was no taste of cookies but instead a weird milky spoilt taste I would describe the food as shocking to say the least my expectations were cleary to high for the type of place.

My wife and l enjoy the Eden cafe, good service. Good, reasonable food, generous helpings, plenty of parking, a happy relaxed atmosphere, staff chatting away to the patrons, comfortable seating.

My wife and I had the privilege to enjoy a breakfast here while we waited for our vehicle which was at Supa Quick. Service was welcoming and top class. Food came out fast, was divine and great value for the price. Overall a great experience. Thanks to the Eden Café team.

I recently ordered the chicken cashew stirfry for lunch. Not only was it absolutely delicious - it was such a generous portion that I had two lunches from it. And it was just as delicious the next day.

Ou Meul Bakery & Farmstall Botriver is a charming farmstall that still offers its famous homemade puff pastry pies, sourdough breads, and hearty breakfast and lunch menus. The cozy dining area with a fireplace creates a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy good coffee, generous portions of food, and friendly service from the staff. The in-house store offers convenient shopping for pies, bread, and local wines.
Absolutely spectacular service and food. My dog was very welcome and I was able to order a chicken breast for her. I had a spinach and feta pie, a pecan nut pie and a pomegranate juice and all were divine. There is a kids play area, a braai facility and a fuel station just next door along with factory shops. I absolutely recommend this place!

Lovely Padstal, restaurant & cafe on the R43 from Cape Town to Velddrift on the West Coast of South Africa. At the intersection turn-off to Melkbos strand. I ate breakfast and drank coffee an rooibos tea on my way back to Cape Town international airport. Just loved the atmosphere and all the items and food on display all available to leave with you 😄. I left with quite a number of unique articles for my family back in Jhb. Definitely worth a stop-over if you are driving past on your way to Yzerfontein or Paternoster.

Coffee was ok, LOVE the croissant! Their pastry is freshly bake in house! Got to try if you ever stop by.. we stopped for 3 times as we passed by this place from Cape town to Hermanus then Franschhoek to Gansbaai and back.

Stopped while on a road trip and bought steak pies and sourdough bread that was still warm from the oven! Unfortunately I didn't take photos, but both were absolutely top class and delicious. The staff there are also so welcoming and friendly!

Not like all the other Ou muel visited lacking in variety, foods are fair or maybe pricey for some ,staff friendly
Mark — Google review
Service is slow, every time and pricing exorbitant! I drop by at least once a week, but last week I walked out without buying anything. I spoke to the staff on the last visit about service, but this time I voted with my feet and left; not to return. More staff standing around, chatting each time I walk in than there are serving customers. Food is good however, but the cold drinks and other items, I rather buy elsewhere due to pricing that exceeds the most expensive convenience stop at a fuel station. The biltong and other niceties don't have weight/ sizes on, so you cannot check the value, but I can confirm, it's some of the most expensive biltong and dry wors to be found. Going forward I would rather stop up the road at Houwhoek for a better range and fairer pricing.

Great food and nice play area for kids, Kids area is closed off with gate ensuring children’s safety. They also have tables in the play garden so you can enjoy your meal while still being able to see your kids. (farm animals next door to look at) Cozy fireplace inside during winter. They also have a larger table for bigger groups.

Such a nice farm stall shop. Good home made food and bakery. Lovely for a quick stop or a sit down meal. There is a play area for kids and an outdoor garden area. The bakery is really good and worth a try. Service was friendly and rest rooms were clean. If you driving past, it is worth the stop there.
