The food was delicious and ready to eat, which is very convenient if you are looking for vego options in town. However, I think the portions are quite small for the price. Despite that, I plan to come back to try some other options. Also, they offer a lot of healthy drinks.

My wife and I swung by Thai Veggie Hutt in Hobart, and let me tell you, it’s a spot that even impressed her—and she’s a Thai vegetarian who cooks like a culinary wizard! The staff were like instant friends, chatting with us about the menu and making us feel right at home. The place is cozy but gets packed at lunch, so we snagged a table just in time. It’s not every day you find a place that can hold its own against my wife’s kitchen magic, but Thai Veggie Hutt nailed it. Affordable, vibrant, and so delicious—we’re already planning to come back and try the whole menu!

I think Thai Veggie Hutt has the best value for food in Hobart! Also extremely tasty too. I love going to this restaurant, everything they make is so good!!? I haven’t had a dish disappoint me so far and I’ve had almost all the available toppings they offer!! Always busy around lunch hour because every worker in the CBD area on their lunch break goes to Thai Veggie Hutt for a quick takeaway lunch ;o

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Hobart - and it came highly recommended. All dishes are homemade and vegetarian. We appreciated that there was a lot of protein in the form of tofu, seitan, etc. Hearty, really good tasting, inexpensive, homemade vegetarian Thai food - you can't ask for more! There are a few tables to sit at in the restaurant or there are outdoor picnic tables around the corner.

Very tasty vegan Thai food. 6 (ish) options on offer with either rice or noodles, plus a menu of 7 dishes made to order. Hot, delicious food, so good I went back the next day. Will be back! Highly recommend the bbq dish or anything with the vegan duck.

Was looking for a cafe with vegetarian and gluten free options to eat. This was a golden find. Everything was delicious. We had roasted tomato soup. ( I think there was beetroot in there, which was not mentioned, not a big fan of beetroot, but it was tasty nevertheless) Had The Madam and The Greens The prana chai was too milky. Didn't expect it that way. But it was delicious so we finished off everything from the plates and cups :) The staff were friendly and attentive Metered Street Parking available.

An absolutely delicious gluten free cafe - you wouldn’t even know it’s entirely gluten free! Very delicious, freshly made food! Very lovely staff. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tassie, as well as people with allergens.

Straight-Up is centrally located, diagonally across from Shamrock hotel. It serves vegetarian food with several vegan options. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home. They make inhouse a vegan ice cream. The food overall is good. Come early as they close at 230pm. We spent AUD 85 for 2 pax.

Everything was gluten free… amazing! I had carrot cake, which was absolutely delicious, and a tasty smoothie. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Though small, the cafe was cozy with a variety of seating options.

This is absolutely the best place to have breakfast or lunch if you need gluten free. I ate here every day when I was visiting Hobart. The staff are friendly and there is a huge selection of gluten free treats, including donuts, pretzels and cheese bread. Get there early when the display case is full.

Loved this little gem! Was beyond happy to find a totally gluten free cafe in Hobart and the food was just so good! The cornbread is amazing and will be heading back for another pretzel and donut for sure.

What a delightful little cafe! They make their own almond milk and everything on their menu is gluten free, including breads and pastries. So impressed! The corn bread is delicious and so is the brekkie Burger. Not sure how they do the silky egg, but it tastes fantastic!

One thing I like about Hobart is that they're cold adapted. Doors are automated so there isn't a constant dinnertime passive aggressiveness from people sitting near the doors like they have in Sydney. After trekking in the cold to Veg bar it was nice to not worry about the next patron walking in. The venue was lovely, bright and diner like but modern. The staff were lovely too. I had the Big mock and had I only had that I would've given the joint a 5 cause it was an amazing burger. I did however get the slaw, which isn't pictured. It was nice for one bite but that's it...way too sweet. I had a taste of the cheeseburger which was pretty ordinary. The pattie wasn't great, if it had a big mock pattie it would've been a different story. Worth the trek for the big mock.

Such an amazing plant based / vegan restaurant 110% recommend! Just make sure you go on an empty stomach because you'll want to try everything there! I had the buffalo wings and Mac and cheese poppers and I was disappointed I had no room left for dessert! The cocktails are also on point and all the staff were supper lovely and bubbly! I will definitely be going back!

Nice clean place with a lot on the menu. First time customer my only complaint is the meal I ordered looked great but the the paddy was a little raw. I’m giving 5 stars because of the layout and customer service. I’ll definitely come back and order the same meal and change my reviews based on the second experience. I would recommend going here despite my meal 😌

Such a cool vegan venue - the burgers were tasty, the cauliflower bites were perfection & the sour candy cocktail was TOO delicious 🤌 there’s not a heap of variety when it comes to protein/meal base is all — lots of jackfruit based items or cauliflower!

An ideal place for vegans and vegetarians with so many options to choose from. They have an amazing customer service, nice and helpful staff. 1. Big Mock ($17.5): RECOMMENDED- A plant-based beef burger with a nice spicy taste. 2. Southern ($15.5): RECOMMENDED- A cauliflower patty burger with a sweet, tangy flavor. 3. Virgin berry Mojito ($10): RECOMMEDED- It was a bit on the strong side, but the overall taste was good. We had to buy the fries ($5 for small) separately, along with the sauce ($1.5). I would suggest them to include this in the burger plates itself. As it's a bit expensive to pay the above for the burger alone. Free parking available after 6:00p.m.

Very nice vegan food, with a lot of options for both healthy and indulgent tastes. The cocktails are great too and the desserts were beautiful! Would definitely go back on a next visit to Tasmania

Great fully vegan place on a gorgeous street in Hobart. Love to come here every time we visit Tassie! Their shakes are incredible - the can swap the coconut milk for soy in the shake itself, which we opted for, and they were so tasty. The burgers and soy cauli wings are delicious too.

We were welcomed and attended to very warmly by staff. The food was amazing - utilising local fresh produce and highlighting them with food cultures around the world. Every dish has a strong presence or flavour profile, but yet unique. I would have liked something more subtle to punctuate the strong flavours. There’s nothing wrong with any particularly dish, just a preference to have a more balanced flavour profile from start to finish. Nonetheless, I will definitely recommend Aloft to others and I will definitely re-visit. On the way out, we were also acknowledged by the chef, which was a good touch on their part.

Absolutely incredible experience at Aløft. We flew into Hobart in the afternoon and this was a brilliant way to spend our first evening in Tasmania. We were given a window seat with a stunning view of the harbour and the entire restaurant was very atmospheric. All the servers were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and I thought every single dish was impeccable. I also appreciated how there was some vegetarian protein (tofu) included in some of the dishes and it wasn't all just vegetables (unlike veggie tasting menus I've had in other restaurants!). I also liked how I was given the option to have the regular dessert instead of the vegan one if I was fine with eating gelatin (which I was). Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish and an incredible introduction to Tasmanian cuisine.

Seriously one of the best meals I've had in a very very long time. All local fresh ingredients, beautifully presented and in a stunning setting overlooking the sea. I was sat by myself at the bar and couldn't have been happier, watching the chefs work their magic and tell stories about each dish. I was very well looked after and I will definitely be back!

We visited Aloft as Melburnians where the food scene is thriving and this was one of the best meals we’ve had!! Starting with the staff who were all so down to earth and friendly - no pretentiousness here which we just loved. We couldn’t fault a single one of the dishes which all showcased local Australian produce with an Asian twist. All so flavorful and delicious, we were in heaven the entire evening. The price point is incredible for a 5-course degustation which actually feels like a 10 course because there are so many dishes included within each course. We will definitely be booking again if we return to Hobart!

One of the best restaurants in Hobart (might even be in whole Australia, for me at least). Dined alone and sat at the bar and everyone are really nice and accommodating. All the ingredients was locally sourced and the chefs had really good attention to detail, it is really cooked to perfection. The FOH staff talked me through how the night will go in terms of the menu. Highly recommend adding the scallops as it was one of the best ive had. Top 3 dishes for me on the set menu that night would be Koji Pork, Sashimi, and Scallop. Safe to say i enjoyed my visit and would visit again once im in Hobart.

What an incredible dining experience. My partner and I were led here by the great reviews and were not disappointed. I had the pescatarian menu and my partner had the standard menu. While all the dishes were fantastic the absolute standouts was the fish followed by the mushroom and seasonal greens and the pork and seasonal greens. I don’t even know where to begin with dessert as it was a total standout. It was without question one of the best I’ve had recently. We really appreciated the service of Riley and the other staff that made us feel looked after. Aloft was the perfect choice for my birthday. Thanks again and highly recommend.

We dined here for a birthday. The service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere. We were also satisfied with the wines. The food was well presented and there were some delicious items, however both my friend and I felt that too many of the dishes had similarly-flavoured very sweet and very salty sauces. We felt there was an overall lack of variety and balance in the flavour palate of the degustation.

10/10 highly recommend! Usually I wouldn’t glance twice at a little shop like this but after hearing good reviews I tried it. The lady serving is lovely & the food tastes great. I really enjoy coming here to eat. Every option is vegan and healthy. Even as someone who eats meat, I find myself coming here often for a tasty vegan meal. The mains come in three size options, and are very filling. There are a lot of good sides too, both sweet and savoury. They have a good selection of teas and cold drinks.

Super yummy food that you can get canteen-style or made-to-order. The salted caramel peanut dessert was just okay in my opinion. The owners/ staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Nearly everything is made vegan.

This is a nice vegan cafe/ restaruant. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal yet. The food is spicy when you ask for it spicy, i love the satay noodles! The owner is super sweet and accommodating! Highly recommend there food!

I found Templo on the world’s 50 best discovery list for Hobart, tbh it didn’t really meet that bar. I don’t recommend this spot if you’re a solo diner. The space is tiny, but charming - I was dining solo and was sat at the tiniest high top I’ve ever seen, there were two stools but you really couldn’t have fit two people. I found the table very uncomfortable. The wine by the glass list is lackluster, but there are some fine options. I found the pacing painfully slow, I was bored and anxious to leave by the fifth course, but I was also solo, it would have been different if I were with someone. The food is fine, just fine, not great. The oyster add on was good and the crab pasta was the stand out. The portions are small but plenty, much appreciated- you don’t leave feeling too stuffed. I wouldn’t return but can see how this would be a great date night spot. This meal was NOT worth the $120 I paid.

Reservations only. They only serve two settings a night with their 6 course meal. Great for celebrating special occasions. We were there for our 12 years anniversary and our minion’s 10 year-old birthday. Some of the food was a bit too sophisticated for the kid, but they certainly were delights for the grownups! We had a great time! Make sure you mark this place for your next special occasion.

Food is really good (a few standout dishes), but I wouldn’t say exceptional - especially for the price point. Restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and I love how intimate it feels. All in all I would recommend.

An awesome intimate, fun night out with amazing food. We went for dinner, my partner had the set menu, I had the vegetarian version- it was divine. Really great flavours, beautifully presented, not pretentious or OTT. I ate delicious risotto, polenta, braised cabbage & more all with beautiful sauces. I wasn't hungry or too full afterwards, meal sizes were perfect- 6 courses. Really great local and international wine selection also with good digestivos & beer selection. Staff were fabulous, attentive but gave us space. Great music, great vibe. The perfect balance of everything. Hobart at it's best.

Woooooowwwww. Our favourite meal in Tasmania after a week of eating our way around. Thank you to the chef for accommodating dietary needs and making the best gluten free pasta ever. Oh, and gluten free tiramisu. The carrot, beets and greens were another highlight. Even my carnivorous husband loved them! I think I'd fly to Hobart just to eat here again. it was that good!

The gnocco fritto and the radishes with taramasolatta were absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so welcoming and kind. Every wine we had was great. But the absolute climax of the experience was the pistachio cheese cake, which was the best cake I had ever had, it was out of this world!!

Amazing experience! Love the food and the service and Toby is an absolute legend! Their Nachos are the best I've ever had, and all the breakfast options are mouthwatering as well. They are also very catering towards any dietary requirements we have, and even all the gluten free and dairy free options taste delicious. This started off as just a random takeaway coffee place for us but we have now become regulars for breakfast, lunches and dinners throughout the week and especially on the weekends 😅

Best coffee we have had in Hobart. The owner is very kind and served us a coffee before formal opening hour because of a minor confusion that happened. The menu is very broad and caters to all kinds of foods. Great atmosphere to enjoy breakfast. Portions were HUGE!

We had brunch on a frosty Sunday morning, even though the outdoor heaters were on, we chose to go inside, where it was warm and toasty with the wood fire blazing. It was busy, in an open and spacious setting, the service was quick, and the food arrived promptly. The chilli omelette and the porridge were delicious. Highly recommended.😋

I wasn't feeling that hungry so opted for Fruit Loaf, excellent bread! Eggs Benny for my son and Smashed Avacado for his partner. These were really good size servings. Very tasty too! Warm and cosy inside and the staff were wonderful

Beautiful eggs Benedict and super cozy atmosphere. What we didn’t really appreciate was the coffee coming in plastic cups… In an eat there situation one sort of expects a glass or a cup but not a plastic one.

We dropped into Room for a Pony on our last night in Tasmania and couldn’t have picked a better spot to finish our trip. We ordered a couple of wood-fired pizzas – the Margherita and the Pepperoni – and both were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and just the right amount to satisfy myself, my wife, and our daughter. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely lovely. I was especially impressed by the bar staff – the guy working the bar gave me some great Tassie beer recommendations, and the Spotty Dog beer hit the spot perfectly. My wife really enjoyed her mulled wine too – just what we needed on a cold Tassie night. What really stood out was the friendly service – the guy who served us even gave us a few tips on things to see and do while we’re in town, which we really appreciated. If we were staying longer, we’d absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is not totally Thai style, it has been western cuisine. Few Asian people visit there, but you can see local customers everywhere. The staffs are nice, the atmosphere is cozy, but the tables are crowded, the room you sit or move is limited. My main course was duck, it was so sweet and salty, I had to eat it with more rice. And the main course was similar to the stir fry dish, I did not get the advice from the waiter. It seemed you had two same kinds of food. In addition, the water in bottles was not clean, there were lots of impurities in it. You don’t know it is for drinking or a vase. In general, you will not like there if you just wanna have some Thai street food.

Date/time of visit: 18 April 2022 at 8:00pm This is another excellent restaurant in Battery Point. We orderded takeaway via the website. When collecting it in person, it was evident this is an extremely popular restaurant. It was very busy, with some people waiting at the door (don't kniw if waiting for take away or for seating). I woukd recommend making a booking if wanting to dine in. We ordered changmai summer wraps (amazing flavours, anazingly delicious); riasted duck pancakes (beautiful tasting; we received 6 even though the menu says 4 and we aren't complaing, the were great); the squid stir (excellent); and chicken chilli jam basil (wow! Must try). We also ordered 2x coconut rice. However, we ended up with 4 containers of rice - 2 coconut and 2 normal. I suggest checking if the stir fries cone with a serving of rice before ordering rice. I don't know - it doesn't appear to be stated on the website menu. Anyway, the extra rice didn't go to waste - i froze it and used it in my own stir fries later (fortunately staying in a serviced apartment). Food was excellent and the prices reflected that excellence and are very much worth it. Very very happy with our meal and hope to dine in during our next visit to Hobart (remember to make a reservation so as not yo miss out).

Best soft shell crab I've had in Tassie! Batter just right, and all the crab juices retained. The sauce for the lamb shank was excellent.

Excellent food! Beautiful flavours in everything we ordered. Service was warm and welcoming. This restaurant has a really nice ambience. The last time I’d eaten Thai food as good as this was when I was in Thailand.

That atmosphere at Monsoon Thai Fusion was brilliant. This place is sure to appeal. Food wise we ordered the Chicken Satay and it didnt disappoint. Fantastic Flavour, the satay sauce appeared to be prepared fresh instead of using the bottled Jimmys satay sauce that most restaurants use these days. Loved the ginger flower garnish. We had the signature Pineapple fried rice which looked great presentation wise. Taste wise I could vaguely get a mushroomy taste. The chef may have used truffle oil? Not sure. I liked it tho I have had better before. Overall this establishment located in the affluent part of Hobart, battery point is well worth thr visit and put on your intenerary.

Devil's Brewery is now operating the pub at The Duke on Macquarie Street. The indoor seating area has modern decor with good table spacing. You'll find Devil's Brewery beers on tap along with wine, spirits, cocktails and a focused food menu. Opening hours are 12pm - 8pm (Tues-Thurs), 12pm to 11pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. We stopped by for during a recent stay in Hobart for an late afternoon round of drinks and tried their veggie board. Stout and ginger beer on tap were both just fine, the platter was attractively prepared and everything tasted quite good. This was a nice spread, enough for two people to snack on over a round of drinks. Would gladly reorder the Veggie platter next time around.

Newly opened brewery, possibly still finding their feet! Nice warm setting, service & beer was good but I hope hey add to their food offering. Steak sandwich was ok but a beef burger, schnitty or pizza offering would have been a better compliment to the beers.

Lovely atmosphere, especially with the wood burning stove. Would benefit from locals supporting it and tourists popping in. Food was well priced and of very good standard. Drinks are very good, local tippals and small brewery beers. We had a lovely evening, could of fallen asleep watching the fire. So support it!!! Don't lose it!!!

Food is very good, beer is pretty good - atmosphere is yet to find its feet. Look forward to when they get their own beer on site, and they really need to sort out what sort of venue they want to be and what vibe they want. Their music selection is all over the place, and far too loud for a venue the size of theirs - much better to go for chill classics or choose a softer vibe, rather than shouty pop rubbish- ruins the mood. Some more service help will be great also.

Great local munch. Cheap and delicious vegetarian food. Friendly staff. Fresh and nutritious smoothies and juices for a good price. And they're open early! Best place for a smoothie or a cheap and hearty meal. Get amongst it!

Excellent choice of freshly-made drinks and hot or cold food - check the in-store menu as I believe they change periodically/seasonally. I've enjoyed lovely vegetarian curry and nachos here but there's plenty of healthy options. Great friendly service in a clean and neat central location, with fair seating (I've never seen it packed). It's much appreciated in inclement weather or outdoor seating in parklets is not far away. Price can add up, but it's not unreasonable for the quality. Recommended for a quick juice or smoothie if you want to make healthier choice over the usual soft drink or thickshake, or an on-the-go refreshment while rambling the city.

The nacchos supreme and sublime are Delicious. Very good value for money as well, really filling and healthy. I go back regularly and have not moved past three menu staples. Take friends! Vegan chocolate cake and carrot cake also really good.

Fabulous pub with the public area. Broken into nice wall booths and tables on either side of a fireplace and corner leading around the corner behind the bar to a restaurant. Food is typical pub fare but well done.

I visited alone for dinner on Wed 8th Oct. Cozy little pub obviously popular with the locals and it has a great selection of pints. Food was excellent and filling, I really enjoyed it. Staff were amazing and attentive. I didn't catch the barmaid's name but she recommended a few beers for me to try, was very friendly and made me feel right at home. Thanks, whoever you are! Overpriced. The place is noisy, got woken up multiple times during the night by other tenants. The room and bathrooms have the bare minimum in it. Shower water was not stable, going from hot to cold every 30 secondes. Bathrooms and rest room are as cold as a freezer (no windows). TV was not working. Room was clean

I’ve popped into the Tasmanian Inn a few times since it changed hands earlier this year, and to be fair, it’s been a bit of a mixed bag. But credit where credit’s due: lately things have been on the up, and I reckon it’s shaping into a proper family favourite. As tradition goes, you start with a pint of Guinness — the yardstick for any decent pub. And I’ve got to say, it was a lovely pour. Smooth, creamy, near perfect. If I had to nitpick, I’d say it could’ve used just a touch more domagẽ on the head… but I’ll happily let that slide. Especially when they’re running $10 pints during happy hour (4–6pm). In times like these, that’s a welcome sight indeed. Now, the food is where the improvements have really shown. The Scotch Egg? Spot on. Perfectly cooked, yolk the right side of runny — the sort of thing you pause to admire before tucking in. The Chicken Parmy followed it up beautifully: crispy golden panko crumb, tender and juicy chicken, and a proper pub-sized portion. Big ticks all round. Special mention to the side salad: a pickled slaw instead of the stock-standard leafy number — a small but welcome change. The roasted cauliflower side was also a winner, allowing the quality ingredients to shine. Simplicity at its best. Picked up a bit of nostalgia on this one, almost like it was a quiet nod to a beloved pub we sadly lost a year or so ago (if you know, you know). There’s a good buzz about the place — the bar had a steady hum of conversation with a solid knock-off crowd, and the dining room filled quickly to match. All up, it feels like the Tas Inn is finding its stride. There’s a sense the crew behind it know what they want it to be — I’ll be back with pint in hand, keen to tuck in for more.

It is a charming little pub that requires self sufficiency due to bare minimum service. It can be noise due to the major road and noisy pub customers late nights.

Great helpful friendly staff. Made us feel so welcome like staying with family. Look no further for great food and a nice drinky it's all here. Breakfast is a self service basic all you need affair. There's great coffee shops nearby and the historical attractions start only a short walk toward the sea front with the National Trust prison building.

It was fantastic to find such a great gluten free cafe! We visited four times as the atmosphere and coffee are great and my gluten eating friends were very impressed by the toasties. I had a nourish bowl, toastie, fresh muffin and apple and cinnamon scroll on different days and would recommend all the food.

Kombi is an adorable cafe & smoothie bar. The name of smoothies are interesting✨ They use local and some rare ingredients to make smoothies. Very tasty, beautiful and make you full haha😋The most impressive is the coconut shell bowl 🥥

A hidden gem in Battery Point. Can’t recommend this cafe enough. Their service was excellent, the food was all 10/10. Everything was very reasonably priced too. The music and atmosphere was lovely.

Beautiful staff assisted me with my order and then didn't take the opportunity to make fun of me when I asked if any sweet treats were gluten free (EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE ✨🫶🏼) had the power bowl, changed my life. I'm going to be dreaming of it for a long time. Also got a hilariously named smoothie fungus brothers or something, some pun named drink and that was delicious too! About to tuck into the aforementioned sweet treats with much enthusiasm because of course it's going to be delicious HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It’s in a nice area but service and food below average. Not even busy and I had to wait over half an hour for a smoothie bowl. I got the berry awesome smoothie bowl, cost $15 tasted very bland and was really small. They only put half a strawberry on it, you’d definitely expect more from a $15 bowl. Won’t be coming back 👎🙅🏼‍♂️

What an amazing Saturday market! This is definitely worth planning a trip around if you want to shop locally and for me especially, for souvenirs for the family! There are so many great stalls from gifts, food, alcohol and more plus local artists playing their music for some fun entertainment! Special call outs for me were (see pics) Cheeky Devil Roaster - they are great. They took the beans and ground them for me to take home to my family to try as well~ love the coffee and love the hat! The Artesia Pewter company what amazing and beautiful pieces they have. I bought wine stoppers for the family members back in America with their favorite Aussie animal. The Tee-shirt shop with such great prices and sizes. Plenty of styles both male and female and some nice light coats too! Ned Pickering Arts for playing an assume fiddle!

It is highly recommended, everyone. There is nothing quite like gaining a deeper understanding of the city. This is one of the most enjoyable local weekly markets one could experience. You can find a wide variety of items here. I particularly enjoyed the fresh produce, food, and apparel. The atmosphere is quite pleasant for exploration. You will certainly have a delightful day there.

Yes, go! There are so many stalls, there’s something for everyone!! We had sausage in rolls for breakfast with some fresh apple juice from another stall. We got some socks as well as the most delightful ring, recycled from a vintage spoon! The day we went , there was a cruise ship in town, but it wasn’t overcrowded. Plenty of space that stretches right up the hill.

We zoomed down at 8.30 am to the iconic market on Saturday in Hobart . We beat the crush of crowds from a visiting cruise ship that worsened until we left at 10.30am. Photographs, vintage goods, tastings, great coffee and lots of Tasmanian artisans . What’s not to love? My American visitor loved it and left clutching a pile of gifts for home. I left clutching a heap of vintage posters, fabulous sourdough, empanadas and black and white photographs of Hobart .

Great day out. Variety of stalls selling high quality products and produce. Not a place to get a bargain but great to sample products straight from the supplier. Very much takes pride in the products produced in Tasmania.

Rating this on Kray Kray lobster shack food truck..bought a Lobster roll. $27. They had a choice of 3 "toppings". Garlic butter, lime mayo or Mornay sauce. I would've liked garlic butter and a bit of mornay sauce but that didn't seem to be an option so I stuck with garlic butter. Roll was beautiful. Fresh roll, good serving of lobster. Yum

Great outdoor marketplace with just about anything for sale. Try the Empanadas, spuds (on a stick), and all the other foods. Coffee, kebabs, fudge, fresh juices and more. Get there early as parking can be difficult if you are driving.

Efu noodles was done well. Seafood supreme was generally good (big pieces of prawn, fish and squid) except for the fact it was lacking in seasoning and scallops were quite small (got 3, 2 were the size of 20 cent including the roe and 3rd was slightly larger than a 10 cent coin including the roe). Had high expectations given the calibre of this restaurant and previous experience with Hobart and Launceston branch. Maybe it was an off day. Staff member that served me was professional and helpful.

Impeccable service by Stanley, fresh local ingredients, truly authentic Cantonese cuisine. The lobster was delicate and sweet, roast duck had crisp skin and fragrant flesh, beef noodles was deep in wokhei and caramelised to perfection. And the Abalone sauce lomein, was al-dente, just the right chew and paired brilliantly with the sauce. Unmatched even by the best of Sydney. Felt like home every time we’re there. We will be back, hungry for more.

Fantastic Cantonese Meal at Me Wah Restaurant – Kudos to Stanley! Back in Hobart, we loved our dining experience at Me Wah Restaurant, all thanks to the amazing server Stanley (S-T-A-N-L-E-Y)! He was so attentive, walked us through the classic Cantonese dishes, and his recommendations were spot-on—every bite was delicious. Stanley’s knowledge and friendly service made our meal extra special. If you’re craving great Cantonese food in Hobart, ask for Stanley and enjoy top-notch service! Highly recommend.

The entrance of Mei Wah Lou, with its silver doors and stone lions, felt formal and a bit intimidating. Inside, the atmosphere was quiet, with few patrons—some Cantonese-speaking, others local. The service was attentive, with staff promptly serving tea. We ordered four main dishes（nearly 150 bucks）, but the portions were small. The dry-fried noodles with vegetables were bland and seemed carelessly prepared. During the meal, there was a loud noise from the kitchen, hinting at some staff communication issues. I found the restaurant through an airport ad, but the experience fell short of expectations. Mei Wah Lou, despite its awards, seems to be resting on its laurels. They should focus on improving the food quality and creating a more welcoming atmosphere to stay competitive.

Whilst food and service was satisfactory the pricing not so. Total shock when account was presented to us, some our mistake ie on wine pricing although in our defence the wine list pricing not so clear especially for older patrons. The real shock came when checking credit card debit and reviewing the restaurant docket. Found they had charged $48 for a GLASS of wine we didn’t order plus had rounded off the tip to the nearest $100 and not $10 as was requested. As visitors to Hobart we were recommended this restaurant but can assure you we will not be revisiting. Not happy customers.

Amazing Food. Impeccable Service. Just watch the Bill. We shared a bill and paid more than half in cash giving our guests the smaller bill portion. The house charged them the full share and took the rest thinking we wouldn’t notice. We did notice. It felt like theft and the “me no understand” defense was disingenuous.

I was a bit disappointed by the food here. Granted it was a solid high-end Cantonese seafood restaurant, I didn’t find the dishes worthy of its price tag and its Google ratings. The famed steamed scallops were good but not great. The abalone dish came with two tiny dried ones in a sauce that was too plain. The service was too quality though.

To all following me, overall food is great 👍 as compared to any other place in hobart and curries have that nice thick creamy texture and I ordered like 3 curries and all of them were good, must try malai kofta ! Great location and liked nearly all food except the garlic naan had less garlic, so was a little disappointed but the naan were super soft and decent. For the price of what they charge as fine dining, I would only request for great service as the person serving was on the phone most of the time and not attentive enough. The quality is great and quantity is ok, but well, all are giving less quantity these days with no quality, so really pleased with the food and its authentic taste. Must try and hope to see u soon with great service as your food. Would have given 5 stars if the service was attentive.

Home away from home. The chilly indicator do mean something and what a delicious Mint chicken indeed. The naan bread were perfectly cooked and soft. If you are out on a date or say visiting Hobart and want some good quality indian food then I would definitely recommend this place. Customer service is excellent too.

Awesome service and food. We celebrated our anniversary dinner and on special request of my wife they surprised me with complimentary song and happy anniversary written on a plate with chocolate sauce and Gulab Jamuns. It was really memorable. Would recommend to visit this place at least once. :)

After googling best Indian restaurants in Hobart, this place was one of the restaurants that was recommended. My partner ordered the beef vindaloo. He liked his dish but would have preferred fresh chillies, not powered. I ordered the prawn Punjab masala. My dish was spicy with a decent amount of prawns. But the size of the dish appeared small for the price. We also ordered the plain Naan, garlic naan and cheese and garlic naan. The cheese and garlic and the garlic naan definitely needed more garlic, as you could barely taste it. Other than that it was good.

We had matar paneer and karahi chicken. Looks weren’t bad but the taste wasn’t good. Both had too much tomato paste in them and tasted like tomato paste. Naans were raw and tasted bad as were undercooked.

The saffron Indian restaurant is one of the best tassie Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Personally, I loved their Fish and chicken tikka and the gin section 44 made the meal great. The restaurant is in the city making it very convenient for city residents and tourists.

Last night I had a lovely dinner at the Saffron! The service was amazing and the food was the best indian food I have had in Hobart for years. The owner was very friendly and I will not settle for any other indian restaurant in the future!

What a wonderful restaurant. Such innovative creativity these chefs express in they're passion for modern food. All front of house staff were lovely, knowlegable and entertaining. The wine was superb! Great place for a night out dining experience.

I really can’t fault this place. The service was great, the food was fantastic (we did the 6 course tasting menu) and genuinely ate some of the best octopus and fish I’ve ever had. Obviously pricey but worth it imo. Very impressed!

Peacock & Jones is a brilliant place to dine for any occasion. The food and service are excellent. We especially enjoyed the fact that all the dishes were sourced from local Tasmanian produce. Each dish was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing! Of course, no establishment is only as good as the team. I must commend Gideon and Shane for their service on the night. They made our evening that more special through their efforts!!

Really nice venue. Beautiful walls and decor. The service was great too. The food was great quality. Started off with the sea urchin on toast which was interesting. The wallaby tartare was okay, but the standout on the plate for me was the sheep's labneh. The swordfish was possibly the best fish I've ever had. So tender and perfectly cooked. The venison was cooked perfectly too, but I wasn't a huge fan of the accompanying sides nor the other things on the plate. The dessert was a lovely finish to a fabulous meal. Thank you

Food was excellent. I did the wine matching and all the wines were great, but they poured every wine as part of the wine matching after the course had arrived. I found it extremely odd. In a couple of instances I was waiting for the wine quite a few minutes after the course arrived. .

Lovely food, pleasant staff and atmosphere. We tried Crispy Pigs Ears, Duck, Berkshire Pork Chop and Lamb Ribs which were all of a high standard with the Duck being the highlight. All dishes well executed. A nice dining experience.

A great atmosphere right from the moment you stepped in. A warm welcome with a lovely smile. Service was prompt and professional. We had 3 starters: ocean trout, Hiramasa king fish and a steak tartar, each of which was brilliant: great flavor and texture, accentuating each ingredient in a subtle way. The tartar was the best one I ever had. Mains were Blue eye and pork cutlet. Portion sizes were generous and each plate was constructed with carefully flavored items which supported the main ingredient well. Dessert options were a little let-down with the dairy based options only. Overall, this eatery offers the best package of well sourced local produces along with good service.

Lovely little street with lots of fresh produce. Some similar shops to Salamanca market the day before, but mostly different and still nicely varied. Worth a quick visit to get breakfast or some quick bites!

It was a lovely experience in the middle of the Hobart city. A busy street has turned in to a local market with home made products and foods from different cultures. It is not massive as Salamanca market, but full of organic products. Had some delicious foods and brought some home grown vegetables😍

As a resident of Hobart that goes there nearly every Sunday this is the market where locals go for a Sunday bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, maybe snack, coffee or to get the latest boutique drink. Its premise is that all stalls have only local Tasmanian produce do there are no souvenirs. And it certainly lives up to being one, if note the best place in Hobart for that. It is the place where Hobartians cross paths and enjoy local produce, even on cold winter Sunday mornings, of that is something you want to do then this is the place to come.

The best sourdough bread I have eaten so far. Great food and what attracts even more is their farm to table fresh produces. They had the best homemade mixed berry jam too. Great food combined with excellent service it was and Pigeon Hole Hobart will have a special place in my heart 😍💝

Searched for ‘Pigeon Whole’ but navigation took me here, the ‘Pigeon Hole’. The mistake turns out to be a surprise. The vibe is barn like. Started with soup of the day (on that day was green pea an and something) with sour dough. It was absolutely delicious. Can tell the beans are very fresh. Coffee is great, too. Beans are from Villino. Then tried their toasted wrap with scrambled egg and bacon, hands off. I normally hate pickle but that little touch of pickle on the plate really made sense. And I heard some ‘funny’ stories abt their names with ‘hole and whole’ it was quite funny, too.

Food is very fresh and tasty. The pear & chocolate muffin wasn't your typical muffin shape, I'd say an 'ugly/uneven shaped one but was devine! Highly recommend Pigeon Hole!!!

Met up with a friend at Pigeon Hole because some people recommended this place. Very friendly people here and the food was delicious. We got the eggs benedict with bacon and one of the specials. Coffee was okay but not strong enough to my taste.

We spent three days in Hobart, and our first meal was at Pigeonhole. Initially, we didn't expect much, but by our last day, we found ourselves coming back. The service was fabulous, and the food unlike anything we've had in Melbourne, was unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back the next time we miss this town.

A cozy place with nice atmosphere. Good portion of food, and very nice coffee! The sourdough was a little bit too hard and dry, but overall the meal was tasty, especially recommend the mushroom omelette!

Food is standard, fresh and decent portion i would say they can work to improve the taste of the food. But, I must say the service by the staff is really incredible I would like to give 5/5 for the waiting staff who were serving us. Manager was really helpful as well. Will be definitely visit again.

Long waiting time. Ate chicken chowmein and jhol momo, both were amazing. The momo fillings was plain but the jhol balanced the taste, unusual but surprisingly good. The wait staff was lovely, constant checks and she had a happy face. Great ambience, but the wait time was very long.

We only had an entree and one main to share, but both were really lovely flavours. The fitout is great and feels excellent. There was an issue with one of our dishes wish they were more than happy to fix and replace with a new dish, so they deserve to be recognised for that as it can happen anywhere. Prices were not outrageous so all in all a pretty good experience

The space is lovely. But we ordered entre’s to share and I think this was a mistake. We ordered the bbq mushrooms and got 5 little button mushrooms cut in half - quite average and the spring rolls were like the frozen ones at Woolies. Very disappointing

We usually always visit this restaurant when in Hobart. Consistently good authentic Napalese food in a classic cottage at Battery Point. My order is the vegetarian thakali, consisting of three vegetarian curries, rice & popadum. Curries are well spiced & freshly prepared. Service is always friendly & respectful

The menu had changed since our previous visit and we had the old in mind for one of the meals, so it wasn’t as expected (Mo Mo). However, it was the extremely noisy spoilt kids nearby that was the real put off; they were loudly squealing for attention the whole time and the parents let them continue without the slightest attempt to quieten them. People like this must make it hard to run a business. We and two other diners beat a hasty retreat once meals were eaten.

From 5 stars to 1. Food was terrible, service was awful. Took 30 minutes to ask us for an order and did not even offer drinks to start with. Manager kept apologizing about the wait because they want to make sure everything is cooked well... before we had even ordered. The only activity seemed to be food going out the door for takeaway and Uber eats. Maybe this is what they should do full time because the dine in experience is awful.

Such an awful food experience! We just ordered 2 pizzas from Uber Eats and specifically marked on the order to not add any bacon or ham in the pizzas. When the order was delivered the pizzas were loaded with ham/bacon!! They obviously read the order notes because everything else was added to the order, but purposefully added what we did not want! Tried calling the restaurant when after placing the order to make sure order doesn’t not contain pork meat but no one answers! Not something you expect after a long days work and hungry for some dinner! Restaurant needs to do better!

Absolutely stunning customer service, we had an opportunity to talk with the owner of the business, he is an absolute gentleman. Highly passionate about his business and the quality of food he is serving. Personally I am a big fan of the businesses who comes to you and ask for a feedback of the food which we choose, it sets an example of what the business of about. Coming into the food, the food was great, we did an issue with the pasta that was served but the owner was upfront about the fact, it wasn’t perfect as it should be (I honestly loved his honesty), apart from that we loved the other dishes, the pizza was amazing and the salmon was extraordinary. A big shout out to the restaurant, i am happy to spend my money there anytime and on any day.

Uber eats delivered seafood pizza and garlic bread. Excellent quality, plenty of seafood including very large prawns. Was delivered nice and warm too. Very impressed and decent value.

On our first day of our holiday we ate here, and I couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, I was so excited to eat my food, I couldn't hold myself back to take a photo before diving in, apologies. I had the Seafood Linguine, both visits, and it was amazing both times. Our group also had various pizzas, which were all good, aswell as the schnitzel and Scotch fillet and fried chicken burger, all were very well received by everyone in our group! The lighting was also autistic friendly. Highly recommend, if you can put up with a little bit of noise! Nummy 😋👍

I came here with my partner for dinner for his birthday last week. The food was delicious! The bar has plenty of seating. We got a great seat beside the fire and really enjoyed our evening. The staff were so friendly and attentive. My partner got a rib eye steak and I got a chilli prawn pizza. 10/10 ☺️

The Brick Factory in Hobart is a fantastic spot for food and drinks. We enjoyed delicious pizzas and drinks, and the service was impressively quick. The highlight was definitely the half-price pizza special on Wednesdays, which made the experience even better. The food was top-notch, complemented by warm hospitality and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Ordered calamari and oysters in this well located restaurant, near the waterfront. Food tasted OK. Maybe pizza would have been better. Good service and great selection of beverages.

Four of us went for Dinner and 3 had fish and chips with Flathead being the fish with the fourth person having Chicken Parmi, we all really enjoyed our Meals and time there.

I was looking forward to eating at The Brick Factory. The atmosphere was great and in an excellent location. We had a group booking and all of us were disappointed with the chips that accompanied our meal. Not a huge deal but disappointing. Far too salty to even eat, even when covered in sauce. If you have young children, make sure to ask for hardly any salt.

Waste of money. Really disappointed. Naan looks like paratha and raw. Chicken biryani was too much spicy with chewy chicken. I don’t recommend to anyone.

Great food at a great price! The $10 momo was fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. Loved the spicy sauce too. Tried a few other dishes – all tasty and well-made. Friendly service and good portions. Lajeez is a must-visit for anyone who loves good food!

Thankful i walked past while someone had their food delivered. The smell was amazing. On the day, the weather was pretty miserable, so the warm welcome from the hostess was very much the highlight of my day. I had the garlic naan and chicken momos (fried) and i think i've found my new comfort food. Hot and crisp outside with a wonderfully warming inside. I appreciate the spicey and non spicy sauces provided and that the hostess popped in to check on how things were from time to time. Brilliant serving sizes and prices. The restaurant was warm and comfortable to eat at your own pace. Highly recommended for a rainy day to yourself, a date, or family.

Came in for dinner last night and was very impressed, fast and friendly service, great food, and good prices! Can highly reccomend the dumplings, and the yellow Dahl was the best dahl curry ive ever eaten. Will be back soon for more 👌👌

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The butter chicken and palak paneer were exceptional, bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying them – truly delightful culinary experiences!

The menu offers limited options for those who eat only chicken, but the fried chicken was exceptional. The ambiance was pleasant and well-maintained, and for vegetarians, the soba salad is a definite highlight!

Kosaten has a charming interior and a fun mini train system that delivers food right to your booth. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the concept - most of the nigiri was underwhelming, with stiff rice that lacked proper seasoning. The small plates had decent flavor but nothing particularly memorable. A creative idea, but the execution left something to be desired.

It was a bit strange that when we came, no one was at the reception. And we stood for a while there before a girl finally came from outside, and she was looking flustered and not friendly. Anyway, inside was dark with lots of black interior, and a pad to order which foods get delivered using sushi train. Tried a few things but for me the grilled scallop sushi was the winner for me, you can taste the grilled flavour and the sauce was beautiful. But most of the sauces were beautiful anyway. Also you should try their pumpkin tofu. We didn’t know what to expect with this but it was beautiful. Basically more like a deep fried pumpkin, but the broth that came with it was so comforting and yummy. The bill isnt cheap but it was such a nice lunch.

Kosaten does a few dishes really well - my favourites are the soba noodle salad, the volcano sushi, and the teriyaki chicken sushi. Their sashimi is generally pretty good too. I find a lot of their cooked dishes to be pretty average though

Head down to Kosaten for sushi and authentic Japanese food - fresh sashimi, food delivered to your table was quick, and every plate we ordered were served up so beautifully. Our favourite is the lamb cutlets and soft shell crab. Oh so yummy.

Was excited for the kaiten-sushi, didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with the fantastic tablet menu interface, with multiple ways to display and order the dishes. Food was fantastic as well, our highlights were the anago nigiri, pork belly nigiri, kingfish sashimi, boysenberry panna cotta, matcha tiramisu Less spectacular was the very thin slices of not the best quality mixed sashimi, relegated to a side dish in the menu. Overall, a fantastic first dining experience in Hobart and at the time this was written my favorite restaurant in Tasmania.

I was slightly disappointed with our sushi plate; the rice was cold and hard and felt like it was stored in the fridge before being served. The waitress staff took our comment and gave us back $10 for the discount. The oyster tempura was good. The Japanese streamed egg was refreshing with yuzu soup.

Been to 40 pubs in tassie, over 20 breweries and distillers, had a much higher content of alcohol then 10% and served me as much as I wanted. Walked into the Winston and was excited to try all the different beers they had on tap. The first beer I was going to have was a schooner 10%, the bartender says to me "it's 10% mate" I said " that's alright mate from Darwin think I can handle it" he said "sorry mate can't give you a schooner". When did bartenders tell you how much you can drink? Well Winston was the only place that did this. I'll know where to skip next time im back. Would have spent a good buck or two aswell.

Person taking food order not very friendly when asked about GF options and wine options. Only one option for Savignon Blanc. Not offered alternative instead of chips. Left after eating burgers still needing more food. Bought GF hot chips up the road!

I wish I lived down in Hobart. This is such an awesome pub. Great atmosphere and decor. We don't have nice places like this in Lonnie but that might be because The Winston is one of a kind.

By now, you already know this is a pretty popular watering hole. I've been here plenty of times and each time, 5 stars. This American styled bar makes no effort to hide what it is, from the food to the art, this is 'murica at its best (Donald Trump Free). Plastered through out the venue is a range of American memorabilia and if that doesn't lure you into singing the Star Spangled Banner, the food bloody well will. I opted to have the buffalo wings (they have ATOMIC WINGS if you're feeling brave, I was not) followed by the buffalo burger. Have a look at the photos, like reaaaaallllyyy closely... looks good eh? Tastes even better! My mate had the classic burger and as per usual, polished that down. Plenty of options when it comes to grabbing a bevie while you wait on your meals (20 mins is what we waited for, pretty darn good considering it was packed) and if you're unsure about what to get, the bartenders are a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help. This is a must go to place and one that will truly be around for a while by the looks of things. Will be back. Will recommend. *UPDATE* 16/11/23 Made the time to come back to this lovely little local place as I had the deepest craving for buffalo wings. The food is still amazing! They've expanded on the gaming area giving the place an extra dimension. Personally, I like it. Games games games! I decided to put on my big boy pants and hit up the atomic wings. It's a day later and I'm still suffering. What goes in must come out so before you do this, know that life for the next 24 hours will be unpleasant! Still, bloody delicious!! I will be back. Guaranteed.

Good curry and naan bread. The samosa chat was very flavorful. Prices and portions are reasonable. Good selection of Nepalese food which I am keen to come back to try.

Got recommended by locals to try this Indian Cuisine 🫣💭 I love Tikka Masala, so I ordered it~ thought the portion was too small for 2 of us, but turns out we have to take away some because we're full~😛sooo yum!

What a fantastic find in Hobart! Danphe Restaurant offers a delightful taste of Nepal, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The momo here are absolutely amazing—perfectly steamed, with a flavorful filling and a light, soft texture. The dipping sauce that comes with them adds just the right kick. Honestly, it’s the best momo I’ve had in a while! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a real authentic feel that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Nepal. The staff are warm and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and making sure the experience was memorable. The menu has a great selection of traditional Nepalese dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes, but those momo alone make this place worth a visit! Highly recommend Danphe if you’re in Hobart and looking for delicious Nepalese food!

We really enjoyed this restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious! The variety of dishes and the flavours were amazing! We had never eaten Nepalese food before and so glad we did, it’s like Indian food but with so much more flavour instead of heat/spices in the food.

The food was excellent. A good mix of Nepalese and Indian cuisine. It was so good the first night we went back 3 nights later. The staff were polite and efficient but did not hover and bother you whilst eating. For a casual quick dinner with something a little different I'd recommend you try it.

It's a small restaurant in prime location in city. Very friendly staff, for all the dishes they do offer three different level of spicy: Mild, medium and spice (never order spicy unless you love green chillies :P) 1. Malai Kofta: HIGHLY RECCOMEND - Potato and cottage cheese fried fitters in the creamiest tomato sauce are one of most popular dishes. 2. Momo Platter: RECOMMEND – if you intent to try all variety of momo’s they serve go for this item. It contains Steam Momo, fried, pan-fried and c-Momo. C-Momo’s are fried momo’s in spicy sauce with capsicum and onions. My personal favorite is Steam momo. (They also serve half and half plate of momo i.e., half veg and half non-veg) 3. Veg Chowmein: RECOMMEDED – Spicy noodles with adequate amount of vegetable in it. It’s a good replica of the chowmein serve by hawkers in India. however, the noodles used are a bit different and not that soft and chewy. The quantity is pretty good for the price. 4. Cheese garlic naan: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- it’s so cheese and the perfect amount of garlic that you don’t need any curry with it. 5. Rasmalai: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- They serve the best rasmalai in town. It’s a sweet of cottage cheese balls soaked in thickened, sweetened milk with cardamom and saffron.

Food was very bad, we paid 180$ for the food but it was not worth it as it was very sweety, it had no no taste . We wanted to try nepalese food her in tasmania but when we tried from this restaurant we felt very disappointed with the food taste and quality. I hope they provide better food for others who are planning to visit in Tasmania in future.

Villino Coffee located in Criterion Street , This little street is like coffee central :) There is a bit going on and there are other coffee shops/ cafes in this street / laneway. The first thing that jumps out to me is …. The music 😃 How many countless times I’ve encountered loud music through a cheap sound system and the play list that is like …. really? Yep I’m a musician sometimes 😂 You won’t have that problem here, and the play list is eclectic, this way everyone is included :) The coffee is serious and these people aren’t fooling around . Exceptional coffee and exceptional service , gentle respectful staff they have their own unique personality and vibe here and it stands out 🙌 It’s not pretentious it’s professional and proper:) The muffin was incredible made on site🌈 It’s a different culture, it’s the real deal coffee culture 10/10🕺

Orders wada and sambar, received them premixed in the box. Very poor way of serving. Lost the taste of wada. When I called the shop, owner says this is how it's served in Hobart but may not be in India. This is supposed to be an Indian restaurant. Owners trying to cut corners and save money on packing. Just lost 35 dollars and ended up with wet and soaked wada broken into pieces. Worst wada ever Good for people who has not eaten them before

Clean and decent place. Good if your looking for vegeterain or vegan options. I've been going for 3 days now in a row and I still can't get enough of it. Portions are fine for the price. They have soups everyday. If you are really sick and have the urge of eating home food, then this is your place.

Lovely authentic Indian veg cuisine, but be aware of the serving size differentiation when ordering dinner... The Mango Lassi with Ginger & Mint is a real treat!

The owner was very patient in explaining to us the different options on the menu. I much prefer interacting with the owner in a small shop like this compared to the experience with Indian restaurants in the big smoke.

This place is sensational. Amazing vegetarian foods and soups. They did a banquet for us. Great friendly service and really good prices.

Absolutely amazing food. Not one of those namesake Indian restaurants who call themselves "authentic", but are just bowls of orange gravy with oil dripping out. This one is not just great in taste, but was top notch in its quality and quantity. We were treated by food which was served not for customers but how you'd prepare food for your guests who you value. Aunty is an amazing cook. If my mum made food it would have been this. Leaving Hobart with fond memories and I am so glad I had my last dinner in Hobart here.

For the price they charge, I expected a well-presented dish. Instead, it looked like a rushed job—food piled on top of each other, sauce smudged all over the plate, and no sense of effort in the presentation. Disappointing. I’ve been coming here for a while, but it seems like things have changed under the new ownership. We ordered for dine-in, yet not just us, but everyone around was served in takeaway containers. It completely ruined the dining experience. If I wanted takeaway, I would have ordered it that way! On top of that, the presentation was nonexistent—food was just thrown into the containers with no care. It feels like they’re cutting costs at the expense of customer experience. For the price they charge, I expect proper plating and a real dine-in experience. Definitely not coming back unless they fix this..

We visited San Churros recently — the food was good, though there was a bit of a delay in serving. At first, we weren’t too impressed, but what truly stood out was the sweet gesture by the staff. This is my adult child's favourite place to get laksa in Hobart, so I had to try when I came to visit them. The chicken laksa isn't as great as my usual place but it was very nice and I enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and happy to package up my leftovers to take with me. The prices were great too!

The menu on the wall promised so much. It was so enticing. The pictures paint an idea of a nice Asian meal. Pictures say a lot, but if you can't deliver, the promises are empty. We had dinner here. Quite disappointing really. Let's go through the dishes. Soy chicken rice dish. Chicken was overcooked and dry, the rice was stale and unappealing. Choy was passable. Choice of soy flavours wasn't as expected. Not a great effort. Hainan chicken rice. Again, the rice was stale, there was NO chicken flavouring in the rice. I got some lame cucumber. The chicken was pretty plain and not flavoursome. The ginger sauce was weird. Definitely not Hainan chicken rice as you would expect. Maybe it was leftovers from a few days earlier. The stir fried beef flat rice noodles dish was odd too. Celery but no onions. No bbq pork for added flavour. Just plain odd. Sure, these guys can speak Cantonese, but to me it seemed they couldn't cook it. At the end of the meal it was a big disappointment that they couldn't get some basic dishes together. I wouldn't want to come back. There must be better Asian shops around.

We went back a second time this evening for supper, premises was very clean, staff were very friendly, food was spectacular and they even made sure we could have specially made vegetarian dishes. Service was very quick. Child friendly as well which is a bonus. A hidden gem, throughly recommend.

I quiet little cafe tucked away in a corner. Great location, but doesn’t allow for big groups. Perfect spot for 2 friends to catch up. The food was great, just took a little longer to come out. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to try the waffles next time.

Absolutely delicious breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was spot-on perfect! The savoury waffle is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Had such a lovely time at Picnic Café! The outdoor seating area is bright and relaxing, perfect for enjoying the sunshine. I ordered the smashed avo with poached eggs and it was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was spot-on smooth, rich, and served at just the right temperature. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Definitely a great spot for a weekend brunch or a catch-up with friends.

Very small dining space with plenty of room in the laneway outside, creative use of waffles on a savory menu, cheerful service and good breakfast on the weekend. Definitely worth a look at the incredibly diverse pastries on offer.

Great Vietnamese restaurant to get some Pho if you’re in Hobart! Just from the photo, you can see how steaming hot and heartwarming it is! The broth was hearty and the meat was good quality and quite generous too. Staff was friendly and attentive and we didn’t have to book, walk in is fine.

Could be the worst pho I have ever had 😪😪soup is tasteless and super oily, beef is overcooked, instead of rare noted on the menu, chicken is also very dry. I have asked what is the different between the beef in the combo of beef and chicken soup noodles and the rare beef one. The owner? Or the worker answered the beef in the combo is well done. So I choose the rare beef and add extra $4 of the chicken. And turn out the rare beef is also well done, but I pay more than that. Won’t recommend 😭😭

It’s cold and drizzling, so we opted for pho. I had the vegetarian noodle soup and my daughter had the beef vermicelli salad. Her salad was fresh and the lemongrass beef was tasty. My noodles were yummy with loads of veggies and some fried tofu.

Delicious food would highly recommend the lemongrass beef Bahn Mi! Also very affordably priced.

I was very much looking forward to dinner here, specifically, the Phố and Bún bò Huế - and that is exactly what I ordered. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely not! In fact, it was terrible. I am certain the vegetable soup was off. Furthermore, the noodles were stale. To give them the benefit of the doubt, it may have been a bad batch, but I won't be going back to ever find out. You can decide Phố yourself. I paid for the entire meal and left to eat next door, for which I will leave a separate review - Twister Sister, Hobart. Ordered newari khaja set and C momo. Both of them were too much salty. We were unable to eat. We left almost full plate as it is. Rest of my 2 mate ordered thali set, meat were salty as well but they managed to eat with rice so was doable. Overall, won’t recommend for these food.

Really great food here. Recommend trying the 'Sets' as they come with a mix of flavours to try. We had one of the 'Vegetarian Sets' along with a butter chicken. All delicious and sizing perfect for us. The super hungry might want to order extra. The wine price was really good per glass compared to everywhere else we've been in Tassie. Very basic wines, but was great to allow you to have a glass of wine with your meal. The premises could do with some TLC, as it was very cold and in the bathrooms, while everything worked and was clean enough, there were some broken fixtures and interesting 'i fixed it' jobs.

Their butter chicken is absolutely one of the best we have ever had! My partner ordered the curry fish which was full of deliciously melded flavours too... but that butter chicken was incredible!!!! It tied well with the cuman rice as well. The waiter was also very lovely and attentive. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. ❤️❤️

I am really sorry to mention this : I was there 30 minutes prior to closing time. I ordered 5 items and got that after very long wait time because we were only the last table there. Momo was very cold and the sauce for steam momo was tasteless because it was just chilli and tomatoes blended. Chowkin was too cold. I asked one of the team member about chicken chilli that i ordered in the beginning, they replied it will be ready soon in couple of minutes time, but i came to know later that it was just started. They were out of Bhutan set, and other items because one young lady said they were really busy before we arrived. I am sorry for your poor costumer service and the quality of food and also the atmosphere there. That was my first anniversary and we were table of 4 for that celebration. I asked for nepalese beer, ( if they have any) , but they dont sell any of that as well. Very good to see nepalese restaurant in Hobart but i am pretty sure service and quality of food can be upgraded. I was also charged extra for take away food that i did because i was running late to drive to launcheston. Thank you so much

Use to be really good when I tried their food in 2022 in a previous visit to Tasmania. This time it is just a disappointment for the price we paid. Will not visit again.

Wow! The food at this Nepalese place is amazing. If you like Indian/Indo-Chinese food, you must try this place. The egg plant curry and the mango chicken were absolutely amazing. Full of flavour and a decent amount of portions as well. Staff are friendly and place is nice but the food is the stand out. Definitely one of the best things I ate in Hobart and highly recommend it.

We visited Mirmire Nepalese restaurant for dinner this evening and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The customer service was not up to the mark — the staff were not friendly at all. Our server simply placed the plates on the side without saying a word and walked away, which felt quite rude. The food was also not tasty or enjoyable. We had to wait a long time for our meals almost 40minutes, and when they finally arrived, the taste didn’t make up for the delay. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the money or time. We would not recommend this place.

The rare beef pho is really authentic. Soup is tasty. Chicken pho also good. Lemongrass beef noodles salad also good, but beef is a bit too soft. Staff are friendly. Medium size restaurant. Very quick service. Seating are comfortable. Very convenient with bus. Just in the middle of shopping area. Price is average.

We have now visited here on numerous occasions and have been met with the same wonderful quality food which deserves a 5 star review. Tried and recommend the Crispy roast pork banh mi, Lemongrass beef banh mi and the BBQ Pork Char Siu banh mi. The roll is fresh, nice crunch without being too hard to eat and the fillings are so tasty. Great portion sizes. Especially with the soup selections. The beef brisket pho is a must try along with the special pho and the mixed meat Bun bo hue. All very tasty with a lovely gloss to the broth. Very wholesome. Seating can be tight and it can get busy BUT the food is truly delicious. It’s worth a stop in.

Found this random banh mi shop in Hobart which seemed to be popular with the locals. Tried it out and it came out to be one of the best banh mi I’ve had in Australia. The crispy pork was so good and their pate was amazing. It was so good that I had to get another round of this on another day instead of trying out other restaurants in Hobart as a tourist. This is a highly recommended place if you’re a banh mi fan.

Vegan banh mi and vegan pho was very good. The vegan meat was very unique. You can order at the counter, QR code and big screen. Definitely would go again.

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I ordered a bowl of pho with an extra poached egg, but the egg came completely raw — the white wasn’t even cooked at all. I had to scoop it out myself because it was inedible. I also ordered the satay chicken, which was served without any sauce. I had to go back and ask the staff for the sauce, which should have already been included. Overall, the food quality was poor and definitely not worth the price. I hope the restaurant can improve their consistency and attention to detail.

This was a great place to get traditional Vietnamese food. The Banh Mi tastes like you are in Vietnam. My wife enjoyed the noodle soup. The Vietnamese coffee was great and would have been perfect without a paper straw. You have to order at a kiosk but that frees up the staff to focus on making and delivering food.

We visited last night and had a less-than-ideal experience. Upon arrival, we were shown to a table that hadn't been wiped down—there were still crumbs and marks. We had to clean it ourselves using baby wipes, which wasn't what we expected. Additionally, one of our glasses was dirty, and we only noticed after we had already started drinking. We ordered three burgers, and while two arrived at the same time, the third took almost 10 minutes longer. One of the burgers was requested with shallots on the side, but it was served with them mixed in, which could have been problematic had we had an allergy. We were disappointed with both the quality of service and the value for money, especially considering the nice location.

The really good value $10 family got me in but the amazing bar staff is why I'm giving it a great review. The young man and woman bar staff were so friendly and professional! $12 martin's too. I highly recommend!

Service was great good sense of humor and wasn’t just a robot anyway the food was good for 10$ parmas what’s an absolute steal. I would say the Parma could have had more cheese, a better sauce and it was on the chips anyway over good size for $10 was pretty happy. Atmosphere was not to bad just the booths were dirty I will be back for more Parmas.

Great spot on a chilly evening in Hobart to sip on a couple of delicious cocktails in the outdoor gazebo area sitting beside an open fire... very nice! Unfortunately we didnt have enough time to stay and order any of the tempting deliciousness that was on offer in the menu but service and staff were exceptional. A must visit next time!

Not much variety on menu (all fried )and food is edible but I've also had better microwave meals. Went with a group and huge gap between meals coming out despite it not being busy.

Amazing ambiance and drinks! Menu has many different options for food- unfortunately didnt get to try any as the kitchen was closed. I ended up trying the salted caramel espresso martini and it was so delicious I had to order another! The ambiance is so amazing- music, decor, and fireplace really seals the deal. Highly recommend visiting here for a few drinks and a relaxing night just to socialize and hang out with good drinks!

I’d like to express my disappointment with the customer service during our recent visit. A waitress named Georgia was aggressive and rude, which made the experience unpleasant. Rather than being helpful, her attitude was far from welcoming. Additionally, we were attending a private function, but people from outside the event were allowed to intrude, making guests feel uncomfortable. The staff seemed indifferent and made no effort to manage the situation or ensure our privacy.

We came for an early dinner, our 3 year old loved his pasta and being able to see boats coming and going, we absolutely loved our truffle pizza and seafood chowder. Great cocktails, great service, and it was just what we needed after a long day of exploring.

We had the most amazing meal here! The seafood platter was absolutely delicious – so fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The scallops and prawns were a standout, and the calamari was perfectly cooked and crispy. Portion sizes were generous, and everything came out looking incredible (and tasting even better!). The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the service. Highly recommend this spot if you’re after fresh, top-quality seafood and a lovely dining experience.

Ok so there are 2 separate sections to this place, one where there is a bar with live music and a pub kind of feed and another section that is pricier and serves nicer fine dining type food. Oddly (which really needs updating by the venue) there is no menu or mention of the more expensive section in this place when you research it on Google maps, so when we booked, we expected to be going to eat some pub grub. When we arrived, we were actually booked in the fine dining section, but as this is the experience we were trying to book in at other places (booked out), we were ok with that. We had 2 cocktails to start and they were very nice. For food, we ordered the garlic infused roll (can’t remember the exact name) as a starter, Pork Belly main and the eye fillet. We have been to some pretty nice restaurants where we are from in Adelaide, but the pork belly was probably one of the best main meals I have ever had, and that says a lot. The fillet was also incredible. We both had an amazing dining experience and would 100% return the next time we visit. It’s a shame this place’s reviews are lower than 4, I suppose due to the bar and the lack of info on the restaurant part of it on google. It really does exceed this rating if you are going for the restaurant part of it.

A friend & I shared a gluten free vegetarian pizza (which sounded great). When it turned up it was only just warm, undercooked & had very few toppings (or cheese!). For $35, which included the additional $5 for the privilege of a GF base, I found it extremely poor (to be polite!). The venues atmosphere was lacking & the place was also quite cold. Not a great experience.

Amazing venue! Live music on friday night. The place was bright, open and clean! We were dining early and didn't have a reservation, but the place looks to get busy, so could be useful to make a reservation if wanting to dine past 6pm. No shortage of staff and everyone was so helpful and attentive. The food was beautiful and fresh and the portions were massive! The drinks were amazing and cocktails were half price! I recommend the Tommy Margarita 👌 Vegetarian and vegan options available. High chair available. Beautiful views over the water.

We were greeted by a friendly waitress whilst looking at the outside menu so decided to try out Franklin Wharf Restaurant. I’m so happy we did the food was amazing. We both ordered the Franklin Wharf Catch and everything was impeccably cooked and absolutely delicious. It was really relaxing enjoying our meal overlooking the water watching boats coming in and out. We had a visit from a feathered friend but he didn’t bother us during our meal which apparently is a problem at other restaurants in the area. If you are in the vicinity definitely stop by and enjoy some great food and friendly service like we did.

Came here with a large group of friends on a Friday night and it was the perfect choice! There were so many food choices and we all enjoyed trying each others’ picks. The prices varied, there were some cheaper options as well as more expensive. They had live music and we all danced to it after eating. It was a lovely way to spend an evening. (It’s also hyper-local and zero waste!)

Friday afternoons in march and April it would not be prudent to be anywhere else ! The band is at a nice comfortable level to be enjoyed but not to overwhelm . It’s good to see people attending and enjoying a free event with options for enjoy food stalls from all different places !

Top notch experience, a must try on a Friday night! Markets themselves are really professionally run. There was live music, a selection of around 15 food vans and security and cleaners around making the event really well run. There was a strong selection of Tasmanian alcohol and seafood as well which was another win. Very strong recommend from me!!!

Wowee! Visiting from the mainland and was blown away by this place! Band was cranking, food was everywhere with such a range of choices and beer/gin flowing. Atmosphere was electric.

The paella was amazing, the best I've had actually. I feel as tho the general seafood you get here is very high quality. May need to line up for a bit is the unfortunate reality so make sure you grab a friend or speak with the friendly locals :)

I come here every time I come to Hobart (which is about once a month). I used to love their food but recently I have noticed that their big vegetarian pastry rolls have lost some flavour and are dry and crumbly. And quite annoyingly the last two times the staff have put a hot roll on top of salads so the salad has ended up wilted and warm - this is a pity as the salads are great. Just tune it up a bit guys and it will be back to the five star place I remember!

The range of toppings was great, and they had vegan frozen yogurt options. But the value for the price wasn't very good; expensive while the frozen yogurt tasted average.

Just went in at 5:15pm on a Monday and did not get served as they were completely packed up and we got turned away! Yet the opening hours on the website clearly states it is open until 6pm, I was very disappointed.

Delicious Shanghai style steamed buns but the price had went up a bit to just over $10 half a dozen buns. We had beef noodles and pickled cabbage noodles as well which were pretty good and they even allowed you to choose thick or thin noodles which is generally only available with hand made noodles. The soup of these noodles were nice but u fortunately noodles lacked chewiness any good bowl of Chinese noodles should have. Really friendly staff towards us Asians too (sadly many Asian restaurants holds a pretty faul attitude towards Asians) so this is a plus!

I ordered combo soup pot it was oily soup I ever had( really oily). Made me feeling sick after had a little of that one and can't really eat it. A bit disappointed tho😞 and steam pork bun was meh, The inside is juicy but the bun outside so dry. But Shanghai fried noodles was really yum so gave 2 stars just for the noodles and friendly staffs 😊

Highly recommend the seafood Tom Yum combination fried noodles. If you are a Tom Yum fan, you deserve to try!

Tried Shanghai King Bun tonight and was very impressed. A casual dining experience with super friendly staff and epic food. My partner and I shared some great tasting well prepared meals ranging from steamed and fried pork dumplings, mixed vegetables and chicken dumplings, special fried rice, sweet and sour eggplant and chilli chicken. The dumplings were packed full of flavour and perfectly cooked. My partner was a massive fan of the eggplant, but watch out it comes out hot! I would recommend this dumpling house on Elizabeth Street in Hobart a great place for a casual dining experience and great food! Good job guys and girls!

The noodles are good. The Char Siew Bun was a bit of a disappointment, it was dry.

Extensive menu, as well as fast and friendly service. The highlights were the dumplings and buns. The seating was very uncomfortable and this venue is not licensed nor does it allow for BYO. Using an Entertainment voucher makes the experience good value.

This is the best dumpling I had in Hobart! The buns are all fresh handmade. The sweet sour eggplant and grilled fish are yummy as well. A place worth to try!

This is a delightful light-filled cafe, with warm and friendly staff. There are many choices from the healthy, nourishing plant-based food options. I had the corn fritters, 😋 which were delicious and filling for brunch. There are a variety of sweet and savoury treats to take away. Always looking for genuine organic tea leaves🌿and this place excelled. My friend tried the matcha latte, and was very impressed. The atmosphere was relaxing, with seating at the front and more spaces for groups at the back.

Stopped by Little Lotus Café and absolutely loved it! The cauliflower soup with sourdough was rich and comforting, perfect for a chilly day, and the hojicha was smooth and soothing. Such a cozy, welcoming spot, can’t wait to come back! 🌿🍵🍞

As I strolled up to Imago Cafe and Bakery, a little pup sitting by the door caught my eye—a cute welcome before I even spotted the coffee shop behind it. I stepped inside and, half-joking, asked if I could take the dog home for free. The lovely owner and barista girls just smiled and said no, sadly for me. So, I settled for the next best thing: their coffee and a bite. I ordered a mocha and a gluten-free orange friand. Both were spot-on—rich, balanced, and downright tasty. The place itself is cozy, with just the right music setting a relaxed vibe. The staff was super friendly and warm, making it all the better. It was a great stop—perfect for a coffee break, a date, or just hanging out. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Beautiful coffee and delicious food. We got the smashed avo and chilli oil scrambled eggs and they may have been the best scrambled eggs iv had in my life so far. Coffee is strong but not overpowering but nice and smooth, great ambience in the place with comfortable seating and good art.

Imago Café feels like stepping into a different world the moment you walk in 🌿☕ It’s a cute little garden-style spot small but full of charm 🌸 We were lucky 🍀 to get a table right away as a group had just left. The coffee was lovely ☕️, “The food was okay, but nothing really stood out.”🍽️. It was pretty packed that day . a group of four were squeezed at a tiny table 😬, and they didn’t look too happy. Staff were doing their best but seemed a bit short-handed 🏃‍♀️💨 Overall, we had a pleasant visit and didn’t have to wait long for our food or drinks ✨

The lamb sausage and bread with tomato sauce are delicious, and the aroma of the Rendang pork is incredible—just like in Malaysia (though it’s not easy to find pork there). An absolutely fantastic café, whether for brunch or just a coffee!

Probably the best place I have eaten in Hobart. The flavours were exceptionally well-balanced and intersting, the menu was enticing and the service was great. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Clarified upper cut, rum, port, tea, milk magic. Heavy on the magic, takes a day to prepare to create the whey. Heritage yeast. Underground beer tunnels. Makes more sense when you're there.

Great food and good service from the manager who served us - he was fantastic. The other staff, however, were disinterested and lacked warmth, especially the barman - who was our first point of contact when we walked in. He had a sour attitude and was unpleasantly cheeky when we had wine queries, which made us comfortable. Although, he changed his tune when taking payment and prompting for tip ..... overall an average experience. They need to work on the engagement and energy of their Saturday evening staffing.

Service was a little slow, but otherwise epic. Great food, cool cocktail bar with jazz piano downstairs and amazing fit out that impressed me without being snooty at all. Service is very good, staff friendly and busy without being crowded. Book or get their early and have a cocktail downstairs.

Nice coffee, but found the food menu on the higher end of the price scale. The chia pod was delicious and the staff were friendly.

I waited 30 mins to be told that they run out of hollandaise sauce!! Can't speak about the quality of every other item on the menu but so yourselves a favour and don't order Eggs benedict... coffee was average too... overall experience worth 1 star...

We loved your Breakfast Paleo Pod (fried eggs, sweet potato hash, arugula, salsa with smoked salmon), Lola's Sweet Potato Hash with Poached Egg (plus seared spinach and smashed avocado and toast) and Banana Bread (grilled with whipped mascarpone and berries) We especially loved your fresh juices: orange+coconutH2O, green apple+mint+cucumber+celery+coconutH2O, and strawberry+melon+orange+coconutH2O

Called in for a morning coffee with my mother before work, we were the only 2 customers staying, and there was one person immediately after us who got a takeaway. The coffee itself was good, but given that there were no customers in front of us we were a little surprised that it took 7 minutes from ordering to receiving our drinks, and they arrived 2 minutes apart. I'll call in again, but certainly not if I'm in a hurry or the Cafe looks even slightly busy.

Great gluten free options with lots of variety. Wasn’t a huge fan personally of their paleo bread but nice to have lots of choice. First time we tried to come to their all day menu when they close at 4 their kitchen was closed by 2:30 which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise not a bad option.

Some of the food here is tasty (depending on your choice) but the prices are way too high for the size of the serves. Most of the plate is taken up by noodles or rice (very little flavour) with a spoon or two of the chosen dish on top. I paid over $17 for what looked to be an entree size portion recently. Lovely staff, clean environment.

Lydia is a fantastic lady with so much warmth in her heart , food was yum . You can choose base as fried rice /noodles with 2 curries ( I had 1 soy potato and mock pork made of wheat ) . It was lunch deal for regular as $16 . I ‘ll definitely visit again!! 😊

Food is delicious, owners are lovely, restaurant itself is a bit underwhelming though is always clean and good for a quiet lunch. If location changed this place would be packed from open until close. Best item on the menu is the spicy seitan wrap. I could eat one every day forever.

I’ve been eating here over a decade and it’s my top recommendation for vegetarian food! You can’t go wrong with any of the delicious dishes. This is the restaurant I will take someone to if they say they “hate vegetarian food”. I went here on my first date with my fiancé and we’ve been together going on 8 years now. The owners always remember me when I go in and are super friendly. Also, the prices have stayed pretty good even with the cost of living serge. If I was going to be executed this would be my final meal, I don’t think there is any higher praise you can give!

Fantastic dining experience here. Most of dishes are good except the scallop one (not bad, just so so). Staff are friendly. If the beef tartar can max with Korean Pear (only this one can be) that would be much tasty. Will come back here next time.

Enjoyed my wife's birthday with at The Lounge yesterday. Erin and the team were simply outstanding. Their level of service immediately removes any sense of intimidation you may feel by being in such an obviously high quality venue. They were brilliant and so welcoming. Then there's the food and wine. Not much I can say other than amazing. Portion size is spot on and aligns with the pricing perfectly. The flavours, the look, wow. I thought it would be hard to beat the Coal River venue but they have. What a beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Atmosphere is Frogmore Creek's newest culinary experience in Hobart. And what an experience it was! We were fortunate enough to be in Hobart for their opening weekend, and having eating at their winery restaurant multiple times, we came in with high expectations. These were met and then-some. The restaurant offers three levels of degustation, Stealth (Full + Matching drinks), Gold (full) and Bronze (shortened). We did the Gold level, and have no regrets. One unique thing was the degustation was a 'hidden' menu. Therefore, we had no idea of what we were in for...and as such, I'm not going to detail the food here either, out of respect for what they are trying to achieve! I will say however, that the tastes were varied (and likely, there will be an element or two that might not be to everyone's tastes!), but you likely will get to experience dishes you have never tried, dishes you have tried but in an all new way, and a familiar favourite or two...but at a 5* level. Come hungry, the amount of food is very good, with us leaving very full - but we were able to get through everything and scraped every plate clean. The service was exemplary, with great explanations from staff, attentive service while still being discreet, and you can tell everyone working there is excited for the opportunity to do something special. The location itself is wonderful, and we looked out on the water as the sun went down. So if you have an open mind for food, want to have an amazing evening and one you are likely to talk about for some time, give Atmosphere a go. It's a journey well worth taking!

I have not had an everything bagel since living in Canada and this took me back and ticked all the boxes (even has vegan options). Coffee was exceptional and the vibe was super funky. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

I think this was the best bagel I’ve ever had. I got the everything bagel with cashew garlic butter, and it was amazing. The garlic was subtle enough to taste but not overpower or give you garlic breath in the morning, and the bagel was delicious. I also tried some of the cinnamon roll and it was delicious as well. Only slight complaint was that the bagel wasn’t toasted so the butter soaked into it a bit. If you are looking for breakfast in Hobart make sure to stop by Bury Me Standing

Pretty little bagel shop with original flavors and nice atmosphere. We took 2 bagels to take away, they were both delicious. With a lot of vegetables and the cashew schmear was very tasty (it was the first time I tried it). The prices are also very reasonable, $24 for 2 bagels and you get some small bretzels with them. And you can choose your bagel amongst beetroot, cheddar, multigrain... We waited a bit because it was very busy, lot of locals were passing by just to pick up a quick coffee. But it was worthy to be patient.

Cute little place.Delicious and worth the wait. Very popular with locals, all the tables were full so we got takeaway. So many vegan options. The bagels were so tasty and obsessed with the donuts! We got the Minnesota toasted bagel, made vegan with the everything bagel. Also couldn't resist the donuts 3 for $6.50. Coffee was great too.

I've lost count the number of times I've eaten breakfast here! A vegan friendly cafe that offers a number of bagels with vegan (and non-vegan) spreads including tofu or cashew based cream cheeses as well "butter". Great value for the price and the space offers a takeaway counter or a small dine-in space. Highly recommend!

Stayed in Hobart for 6 days. Managed to consume 7 bagels from here in that time. This is a seriously cool little joint and the bagels are to die for (pun intended!). I've eaten my fair share of bagels and these are among the best I've ever tasted! Highly recommend!
