The 50 best fast food restaurants in Jerusalem District

If, like me, you stopped eating cheeseburgers at your Bar-Mitzvah, then let me tell you, the meat itself tastes WAY better than what I remember and the "cheese" makes it creamy like I'll never forget. And if somehow you've worked through all the burgers, the specials are Insane! Oh, and the beer selection is only topped by wait staff who bring such good vibes!

Fried foods were greasy and for the most part unseasoned. Chicken was dry. Salad tasteless and beyond oily. Extremely disappointed. Mostly American patrons who don't recognize good Israeli street food. To top it off Hechsher questionable.

1-The burgers are awful, the sauce had an unrecognisable taste, the meat had no flavour and the bun was mediocre. The side dish (sweet potato chips) arrived 20 minutes before the burger. They were greasy and smelled like they had been fried three times. 2-There were at least five waitresses, and none of them were competent. The service was very, very slow. 3-It was dirty, very dirty, both the outdoor tables and chairs and the indoor dining area. The toilets looked like a prison and were filthy...

Gourmet burgers and hot sandwiches — exceptionally tasty. Average bill is about 100 NIS per person. The dining area is quite small. Good for small company events. A waiting list is possible during peak hours.

The burger and fries were really the best i ever had. You could taste the freshness and homemade ingrediënts. Thanks to the chef! Great job!

Best burger in Israel!! High quality ingredients, prompt, friendly and efficient service. The bacon lamb is incredible. Good beer selection and if you have room for dessert, the apple pie rolls are amazing. It does get busy for obvious reasons but any wait is worth it.

What an ammmmmazing kosher menu. We had to try everything and almost did. The Philly cheese steak, the Ruben, the brisket, duck fries and more. They have a huge bar menu and so many different items. When you get to machane Yehuda spend the night, get there early and be ready to wait. There is always a line but I think well worth it.

Amazing place. No idea why it hasn’t 5.0 stars 🤩 great hummus, very smooth. Amazing Falafel. The Shakshuka is okay, not the best, but still good. Everything is fresh and plenty and you get your money’s worth.

Fantastic food. There’s really nothing else I can say to describe it. Ordered delivery a bit late, so some items weren’t available, totally my fault. Meat hummus was FANTASTIC and a gracious helping. Chicken and fries also amazing. Falafels have a slickness my son didn’t like but he ate the chicken and I ate the falafel, problem solved. Recommend highly, making it a regular spot.

As my first restaurant in Jerusalem I was very impressed. The falafel was quite good, hummus was good and prices weren’t too expensive. One thing I was confused about was the whole ordering and sitting down thing. So how it works is you order first then sit wherever you want and they bring the food out to you.

Got to this location by foot because of a job we were doing nearby. Went here to get falafel and were surprised by the nice-boutique feeling of this small establishment. Got a falafel sandwich for each of us. 22nis each, on the high side price wise. The sandwich was great. Ben-sira, you got great balls! They had a crunchy exterior and a moist interior. I’m not sure if they do, but they tasted like they had fried onions in them. Hummus and tahini were phenomenal. And were made on location (note if you’re pregnant…). The pitta was soft and fresh. The veggies were in nice big chunks and had a fresh crunch to them. All in all, I liked this place. And I thank The Lord that I found this hole-in-the-wall. Best hummus I had in my Jordan/Israel trip! I ordered cauliflower and it tastes so good. The fried cauliflower adds more flavours into the plain hummus, it is just a great combination. (Also a vegetarian choice!) If I had more time I would’ve tried all the favours here! Heard the beef one is also good. There is just too much good food in Jerusalem.

Not sure how this place gets good ratings... It was pretty busy, tables were dirty, we were all cramped on each other when ordering at the register with people speaking over each other and the waitor squeezing in to get orders. My order was messed up 3 times because the girl just didn't listen. The hummus didn't taste good. I guess the only good thing was that my partner liked his food, which he describes as fast food. 75₪ for two hummus, one falafel order and a tea ... Seems way too expensive.

Stopped here for quick lunch before visiting Time Elevator which is 2 min walk away. This place is quick and tasty. Very affordable prices. Super friendly staff. Recommended.

I was looking for gluten free food on Wolt and found this place. I had a lamb burger with a gluten free bun. The bun was good, couldn’t tell it was gluten free. The lamb burger flavour had too strong a lamb flavour. I ordered a side salad and it was a decently large size.

It is a basic burger place. The good side is that is not kosher so you can have cheeseburger but then one slice of cheese is 9 shekels. Burgers are good. The regular ones the meat is rather small. Cheese fries were a bit tasteless, the fried onions in the burger where actually burnt onions. Overall was ok, but too expensive for what they offer as overall experience.

Wonderful burger, really good customer service, great experience all around. the people behind the counter were quick to answer any question I had, the food arrived really fast, and the price is pretty good for the area and the meal.

First after I ordered my burger and found out that it's too big for me, I asked the server to have it wrapped so it can be cut in halves. Then I finished half and asked the rest to be wrapped again for a take away. All requests are pleasantly fulfilled by them. Will certainly be back. The burger is unbeatably great!

I Like Burger. I do my Burgers in high charcoal Heat. Pure Beef, Sometimes Mixed with Lamb. Usually 200 g a Patty . Seasoned Just with grey seasalt only,. All Summer Long I Had No opportunity for a Barbecue at all. So I visited Iwo's butcher Shop and deli First. They directed me to the Burger Joint. I decided for Iwo's Classic Burger 400 g pure beef, wow, what a Patty. The bun Open with all the regular toppings. Sauces, Help yourself: Mayo, mustard, Chili, Ketchup and tobasco Red and Green. I am Happy smiling. Fries are a must. Meat tasted like pure beef. What a pleasure. 1-2-3 that's it. They also serve Burgers in a Plate without bun. Chicken Nuggets we're a Side dish, soakef with tobasco, garnished with chilli sauce and Mayo Like a Candy.

This was a very good burger, the meat was super juicy, the toppings great. I did not like the bun; however i am not marking down for this as this type of brioche bun is the "in" bread right now. I had the potato wedges as my side. --fantastic They have the electronic menu ordering system, however the counter person took my order verbally along with explaining any options. If you looking for a burger this no frills joint is just the place!

Must go! It’s the restaurant with the best hygiene we’ve experienced in Israel (and we are comparing this to some of the top high end restaurants in Tel Aviv). Order the Georgian “pizza”, which is a freshly baked bread with cheese/spinach/mushroom topped with an egg. The bread is fluffy and crisp AND it doesn’t get soggy in the bottom even with the fillings! Also try the salad. So so fresh with a delicious homemade dressing. Eat here!! (Expect a queue but they’re so popular with the locals)

You can only order something at a big tablet like mc Donald’s self service. But instead of cheap prices, the food costs the same as in a service restaurant. It takes round about 20min until the food is ready and your name or number is called. We had the egg in a bread with spinach and cheese inside. The taste was really good and there are sauces as side dish. It was good, but I wouldn’t come here again because of the high price (55 Scheckel for one piece)

Authentic Georgian food with Israeli twist. Just few meters from Mahane Yehuda open market. Ideal for quick bites, groups and tourists. Very tasty, quick and good service!! Expect to pay 35-40 NIS for a dish. Pretty big serves. Recommend!

Great food. Good Beer. Cool people. We came here for dinner. It was our first Georgian meal and it was a great experience. The service was super nice and the food was already done in a few minutes. Maybe it's possible in the future to save some plastics and serve the sauces in little glasses or bowls and replace the plastic forks with reusables - at least for the people who eat there. 💪

FIVE STARS must eat here. Georgian (the country lol) dough baked in a special oven, made fresh to order. We got the one with the Spinach and cheese and the fried egg on top. INSTRUCTIONS TO EAT - if it’s your 1st time here, follow the server’s direction on how to eat it. Not with a fork. Use your hands and rip the dough. crack the egg yolk and twirl it around. And we also got the fried one, mind blown! 🤯

Megruli with spinach was very nice. The other dish was interesting, but too heavy. Be prepared as they don’t have a menu in English. But one of the servers speaks English. However, might be difficult during busy hours.

Good food, line is crazy on a Friday though. Prepare to order, take a 30 minutes walk and come back to eat while standing outside in the street. Still, a fun experience that goes perfectly with a walk in the market.

Quite a busy Aroma near Jaffa Gate. The food and coffee were okay, with generous portions. However, I didn’t appreciate that everything was served on disposable dishware — it took away from the dining experience.

We tried the Hebrew University and the Mamilla Mall branches. Both were super delicious. Let's start with the... Hot chocolate with marshmallows! Wow! Super chocolatey, and sweet. (Some will complain it's too sweet, this isn't Milo folks, it's hot chocolate) The croissant with salmon and mushrooms omelet was fresh, mixed with flavors and well seasoned. I waved in a pastry with date filling. It was hearty and delicious, enough to nosh on throughout the day. The salad is cucumbers and tomatoes, served without dressing it is a nice touch and a great way to start the day! This is my new favorite place for hot chocolate!

Some staff was friendly. There is vegan option food and coffee is not bad also. Good for a quick grab. Similar to high street cafes in uk.

Aroma coffee is (as far as I understood) like Starbucks in Israel. The prices are good and the coffee is modest. The staff is really really rude and disorganized. We had the salmon sandwich + salad, it was really tasty and fresh.

Very average to low grade burger, they don’t give any extra attention to make it something worth going back to. I personally don’t think they have much returning customers for the above reasons and with the amount of good places to eat I would find a better place next time in the area.

I arrived at the store on a Saturday evening If you are hungry and want good service this is not the place for you do yourself a favor and get out of there June 21, 2025 at 11pm The cashier was very rude, sat there with her friends who tried to make fun of us I paid her for an order - then she said I didn't pay and didn't send the order. After 2 hours we received the order after arguing תתרחק !!! Stay away.

Burger Market in the Mahane Yehuda Market offers a solid burger and good beer. The service is generally good, and the atmosphere is lively. However, the fries aren’t the best, and as someone who lives nearby, I find the noise levels quite high and sometimes uncomfortable. There’s also a strong smell coming from the food — vegetables and meat — that rises into the residential areas. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a bite, but the environment could be a bit more considerate of the neighbors.

The most disgusting service I have ever received. I bought there 3 times prior, enjoyable food, especially when at work. today, I ordered exactly the same thing, and when I got it, I got a cardboard in the middle of it. Now, I'm all for there being cardboard if the bun is a dry bun with no sauces, but the bun was full of sauces, so the cardboard is right up in my food, with the sauces on it as you can see in the pics. When I called to complain, they said they always send their burgers that way, to which I responded that it is not correct, I have ordered a few times prior and never had this. Until wolt got a response from them, I was hungry, the burger was stone cold, and they refused, any compensation or a remake, all they did was shouted back at me, a fully paying customer and refused to do anything and hung up the phone. I have the call recorded, so it can be heard at a later stage. Also when I commented on their facebook, they sent me a message asking for my number to discuss, to which I responded with it, and of course I got no response at all. Their service sucks, I will never buy there again, and due to their and Wolt's service in reference to this, I withdrew my membership to Wolt+ and have closed my account with them. The fact that Wolt, the company I ordered through, couldn't deal with it, they lost a customer, who's average day had a spend of between 150 and 500 shekels.

Absolutely the best veggie burger I have ever eaten... the fries are unique it’s a combination of French fires and crisps, A MUST! they bake the buns as well so that’s well appreciated and above all the vide just invites you to come in and enjoy

Really good vibe restaurant. quick to serve, good music. food was also good. big portion meal and satisfying. the buns and meat could be a bit more solid as they crumble apart some. but over all, great burger and hangout place! love the interrior!

The guys at the counter are very actively showing off but it is fun to watch. The malawach is great here indeed, the pastry is buttery and crispy, and you can choose the fillings including sauces, spreads, fresh veggies, hard boiled eggs etc. It costs 30 NIS, and it is pretty sizeable, best place to eat the the market.

8.27.17 - fast and fresh. I'm not sure if this is a chain, but we ordered the memulawach and it was darn good. The bread is flaky, light, and chewy. The filling is flavorful and filling. Awesome fast food with really nice service.

The shakshuka is okay, but not nearly as good as homemade. Too much tomato paste and canned crushed tomatoes being used instead of fresh, so it's a little sour. Very little red pepper or other vegetables in the sauce. The eggs were cooked well however (half done yolk) and the grilled garlic bread was tasty. Enough for two people to share for breakfast for 35 shekels.

I still have dreams about the shakshuka wrap. Last time I was in Israel I took a day trip from tel Aviv to Jerusalem just to go to Jahnun bar. Everything here is so good wow.

The best jachnun!!!! Easy to find but no seating inside, however there’s a little park area across the seat with benches. Not much choice here so luckily the only real thing to think about is whether or not you want an egg in it. Do it. You won’t regret it. It’s a malawah wrap with egg and other goodies inside. Fresh and made to order

Lovely little vegetarian bistro serving delicious middle eastern cuisine. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and explosion of tastes these meals bring onto your palate. There are couple of tables outside, make sure you watch the preparation, it is quite a show ;-)

The main dishes here are jahhnun and melawwahh. The place has a kosher certificate. I had the melawwahh. It is somewhat like a moist thick fried pancake, filled with your choice of delicious dairy and vegetarian toppings, and folded up. It filled me up for only 25 NIS. The workers show off a bit, flipping the melawwahh high in the air. ADDED: Now during coronavirus, these are things you can eat conveniently standing up or walking. The price hasn't gone up, and the taste, if anything, has gotten even better!

If you love or want to taste some typical Arepas and empanadas from Colombia and Venezuela, this is the place! Cozy restaurant with nice service and a great latin atmosphere.

Incredible food! Had the La Paluda sandwich (burrito) — asado with delicious green salsa. Empanada also very, very good. Food was fast and hot.

Nice place in the middle of the Shuk, for my opinion the food is not great,but it is OK. Place with good vibes, definitely not for romantic dinner, you have a lot of noise from other places near Pepitos. The service was fast. Not expensive. All the sitting places are outside.

You could find this place near Jerusalem Municipality/Old City. Small place, but nice & convient service, there is also order terminal. We ordered Classic Burger with smashed potatoes+ Tortilla with chicken breast and french fries, and really enjoyed it! Plenty choice of sauces, btw. Total price for 2 full meals was 150 NIS.

Terrible service. The burrito is completely inedible, though the burger is somewhat acceptable. I ordered shredded meat as an extra for the burrito, but they forgot to add it and just gave it separately. The place is dirty, and the service is awful.

This burger joint is doing well, but burnt buns and patties shouldn't be served to customers! It was a very bad experience! My stomach and the inside of my mouth are very uncomfortable right now!

Really enjoyed my early evening burger with my wife. The place was relatively clean (even the tables), the burger was well made and tasty with French Fries, and the atmosphere was very good. Fare prices, great location in the city centre.... will return.

Ordering is done via a big screen. Very easy. It was quite busy when we went. They have several seating areas: outside, inside & upstairs. Great burger. It did have a bit of a spicy taste to it, but not bad.

Food was great! We were nine people. Called ahead since we were so many to reserve a table (its a small space). They said only if we were 10 could they reserve. When we arrived, there was plenty of seating but they had to move tables around, since they refused to reserve for us in advance. The shape of the tables ended up being awkward and uncomfortable. The service was not great, never collected the menus until I did it for them. Gave water but forgot to bring cups. silly things. It was cold and the heater could not keep up.

Best Burgers in Jerusalem! It starts with the ambiance of the place. Really colorful and happening. There is a huge hand painted mural that introduces you to the unique experience of Harvey’s. The place is large and there is plenty of room. But if you’re coming with a large party, I’d make a reservation. The burgers are phenomenal. Most places have mediocre burgers that are hidden by sauces and toppings. This place starts with an incredible burger as the foundation of an incredible sandwich. Harvey offers ‘smash burgers’. A smash burger is cooked on a grill with high heat allowing the beef to carmelize in a special way. Each topping has its own unique flavor and quality. My favorite is the Montréal smoked meat. A definite ‘must’ for any trip in Jerusalem.

The food came very quickly, the waitress was pleasant, the food was delicious 🤤 where do they get that fake cheese??? Overall, great experience and I highly recommend that you try it too!

I went for lunch and had the Chorizo sausage topped with a sunny side up egg and the Jack Daniels burger topped with vegan cheddar and assado(short rib) bacon. Both were very good my only complaint is the standard burger is on the small side, 125gr about 4.5oz and it gets lost in the bun and topping.

So I've been here two times. Both experiences were amazing! This is a rare find in Jerusalem (yes, it's kosher). Exquisite burgers, pastrami and smoked meats all prepared on-site. The chef is experienced, passionate and truly eager to serve up killer food. The Reuben Burger 🍔 is delicious and the onion rings are hand battered one by one. If you want a delicious budget friendly meal in the center of Jerusalem, this is the spot!

I ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was more bread than meat. Even though the meat was very good, it was a little underwhelming.

One of the better Asian or Chinese food in Jerusalem. Within walking distance to old city Jaffa Gate. They serve mainly noodles. The menu is limited and the portions are not huge. But there are no better options in that area.

This place is yummy and the owners are so friendly! Can't believe I never got the chance to come here until now, finally. Nothing is pretentious or phoney about the place. Fresh quality food prepared by very nice people.

The staff is very nice, the place looks great and very calm. The price was ok, is around 50 ₪. The menu is ok also, there is not a lot of meals. So i ordered the tofu soup with shiitake mushrooms. It cost me 55. And also a first meal that was amazing but a bit expensive. The soup was ok, it took a while to get use to the taste, its not for everyone. Worth checking out maybe you will love it, or you will hate it.

Really delicious food, fast, easy service and the prices are good. I got the fried noodles with chicken and vegetables and my friend got the beef ramen with mushrooms and kimchi. Both were extremely delicious, definitely will be coming back soon.

Super delicious and well priced Asian food. Had the beef slices ramen and loved it, and the duck giyoza is probably the best I've had. Highly recommend.

The owners is really nice people! The food was amazing. I love it! And I would love to come again!! Me and My Mom ate vegan Ramen soup and also a veggies with rice 😍😍😍 ( if you like spicy food u need to try their spicy sauce!) we also ate Desert, it was a peanut butter and chocolate ice cream and it was very light) anyway highly recommended!!!

We had a difficult experience ,my young child urgently needed the restroom and at first we were told it’s only for customers. With kids, compassion should come first. Jewish law teaches that kavod habriyot (human dignity) takes precedence, and no child should be put in that situation.

The owner (or whoever was the older person setting up the trays), is extremely rude. I already paid for the pizza, otherwise I would have left the place when he literally ripped a napkin I took out of my hands while shouting at me in the local language. The pizza was good, don’t know if NY style or not, but it was good and well loaded with all the ingredients we ordered.

We grabbed 2 slices of pizza while checking this amazing area ! The pizza were so good and specially the one with the Onion ! It was the first time we try it and we definitely can get back just to try it again and try other pizza tastes. This place is recommended for a fast bite !

One of the best old pizzas in Jerusalem and in Israel. 🍕 It’s really pricey, cost 15 nis per slice which is like 3.75 euros and not sure on the value for money as the slice is small but very tasty so totally recommended to try. For owners: reduce prices so people return more. And also how about offering good gluten free options as well?

Not bad, the Bulgarian cheese slice I had on another trip was not good but these slices were ok. The slushy was too Icey and impossible to drink

Pizza is good. But not NY pizza. Too thin, crust is not fluffy.

The burger tasted like a frozen one from the supermarket (and not the good quality kind). Can't even describe the stomach ache and nausea that came after. Good thing the service was fine

Fantastic kosher hamburgers for good prices. The value meal is very good. For 55 shekels you get a main dish, a side dish and a drink. I chose the Mexican burger, 240 grams of a good, spicy burger, accompanied by the house's fries. Both were very tasty and satisfying. You can add many toppings to the hamburgers as well, including duck liver and more.

Great take on burgers as an American. Spices match the descriptions and were a complement to the burgers for sure, not a distraction or novelty. Lovely service despite the hectic pace as it was packed. Definitely recommend after a tough evening shopping at the market!

Superb burger, great atmosphere and service. will definitely come back. I had the spicy burger (cant recall its name..) and it was great.. and really spicy. We were three of us - one ordered the burger with tahini which he said was great and the vegan friend ordered a vegan burger which was also very good. As a side order I took the sweet potatoes fries - I didn't really like it - too oily.

Good pizza. Bad service, even in Israeli standard it's bad. Whole time I'm speaking Hebrew but the waitor first chatting and ignore me, and didn't speak but use jaw pointing, after it's heated, he is like "hey! " and glazed at me.

The pizza is solid, but personally its mostly a classic late-night food after drinks. Its almost always fresh and they have some solid beer options to go next to your slice.

Living close by. One of not so many places open in Shabbat. Made a half kilometer walk in the summer heat to first time try them and personally choose and order . As I was looking for advice the dude at the counter told me to wait and… walked out to have a cigarette. I waited patiently a couple of minutes standing alone in the middle of the restaurant, then once again asked him to come over and give service. He gave me a sign again that he’s busy smoking and continued chilling outside. I left. First and last visit.

The Pizzas are by far not the worst, but they arent wow. Theyre just good. Decent. The service can be much better especially when ordering. Considering we ordered 2 pizzas and a large cola we got no cups, and only 1 packet of seasoning, 1 packet of oregano, and 1 of chilli. For 2 whole pizzas. The prices at least are "low". Not that theyre actually low, theyre just low considering the rest of the market. Overall 3/5. Not bad. Ive had much worse but also much better.

Excellent place! The best pizza is here :) Option to sit inside and outside. Sitting outside can be a bit inconvenient cuz the sidewalk where the tables are, is crookrd. But other then that it's great.the place is not kosher for those who's interested in this.

Amazing delicious pizza 🍕. Specifically and especially the pesto, mozzarella circles, the sun dried tomatoes. Welcoming warmly. Generous, courteous, kind service. Very warmly recommended!

The best pizza in jerusalem, many special and unique toppings

The ordering was fine although the promo with my card was not available when I wanted to pay. I took a number for table delivery but after seeing a few people who ordered after me receive their food I went to the counter to pick up my order. The fries were not crispy or hot. The Coca-Cola was flat and sweet. The nuggets were cold pieces of chicken like meat. The honey mustard sauce was spicy and not sweet. The double mini royal tasted like the meat had been put in the microgal. The meat had an odd texture. Nothing was good at all. They had just mopped so the dining room was clean. It was just before 12 on Thursday so it was not busy! 67 shekels and not good.

Waited 30 minutes to get my order to receive meat with bread for a sandwich. Please for the sake of god avoid this particular McDonald’s restaurant. Never had to wait so long to receive this kind of trash food, half of the ingredients were missing. They tried not to refund, but make new one, but was afraid out of petty to spit in it.

It's a McDonald's. A rather well kept one, it was recently renewed. They have a fun play area for kids with really cool interactive projectors. The food is the same as everywhere, in Israel it's a bit overpriced. The staff is nice and helpful.

I started with the eggrolls, and they were a delight. Not only was the wrapper perfectly golden and crunchy, but the vegetables inside added their own fresh, crisp bite—a double crunch that made them impossible to stop eating. For the main, I ordered their Pad Thai. To my surprise, it was wonderful. Was it exactly like the Pad Thai from the bustling streets of Bangkok? Not quite—especially since I skipped the peanuts, which usually bring that extra layer of flavor. But what arrived at my table carried a familiar warmth, reminding me more of the Indonesian-style Chinese dish, Kwetiau, with its sweet-savory balance. And honestly? I enjoyed it so much that I went back for a second round—and I already know I’ll be returning again. Sometimes, dining out isn’t about finding perfect authenticity; it’s about discovering dishes that feel both comforting and new at the same time.

Serving size was generous and my khao phat kaphrao tasted authentic with the right amount of spice I’d asked for. However, the dish was very oily and on the salty side. I tilted the dish to show the collection of oil that accumulated. The rice tasted old and some parts were stuck together. The sesame chicken was heavily breaded so I wasn’t a fan. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff seemed overwhelmed and aloof. Meal was still cheaper than McDonald’s though.

Weakest aspect was the thought put into how they organised their digital ordering systems as one by the door effectively blocks the front door. Food was good though. That said, modifications to our order were ignored and due to miscommunication my order went to another customer for a while…

In one of the small street restaurants in the market I found this place who serves kosher meet based knafe. I really like knafe and this place was great for it. The food was prepared from scratch and was very fresh and tasty. It came with many dressings and options on the side. The service was great and made sure I enjoyed it over and over. Pretty decent for street/garage food. I tried the lamb arias three times, it was that good to me as a foreigner on vacation, and my only complaint is that on occasion the toasted bread is quite burnt. But this crispiness adds a nice texture to the juicy meat inside. The potato skins are thick and yummy, but other veggies like green beans and broccoli are not so good and not worth ordering. If you order on Wolt, it is straightforward and delivery is on time or a little bit early, which is appreciated. Not stellar as it's just street food, but for street food, it's not bad at all.

The most delicious arais I've ever eaten! Located near the Mahane Yehuda market. The most successful mutton of the meat types. Get three relatively small pieces so don't recommend sharing, relatively expensive but worth every bite (41 shekels per dish). If you are in Jerusalem you must visit here!

Tommy's is a small restaurant in Shaarei Hesed, with high levels of Kashrut and shmita observance. They have several types of burgers, but also chicken wings, sandwiches and salads, with some non-meat variations. This is not a fast food restaurant; each dish is made to order. Most of their business is take away and delivery, as there is hardly any room to eat in.

I broke a tooth while eating a 300g burger from your place last night. There were small bone fragments in the meat that literally split my tooth in half. I find it disgraceful that you're using such low-quality minced meat, especially considering the price you charge for your burgers! Everyone already knows your service is poor. You regularly forget drinks in the order, you put a tiny spoonful of quinoa in the salad, your chicken wings are full of hair etc.... But this is beyond unacceptable. Shame on you!

We got delivery to our hotel. The delivery came within 40 minutes. Pros: The burger was super delicious, a nice size. Very tasty. My bun was toasted and my husband's wasn't, for some reason.... Cons: My husband got mayo on his burger, which he didn't order. The fries had no salt and no flavor. We ended up throwing them out because they were so unappealing. We had no salt packets to put on them; why don't Israelis salt their fries?? We also ordered spicy fries, and these were a joke - there was a shake of paprika or something on top of a few of them. Not a hint of spice, no salt, no flavor. We also ordered chicken poppers which were okay. Burgers = great Fries = waste of space and ended up being garbage

The place is small and clean, there is an outside area to seat, inside is very cold so be ready to eat your burger with your coat on. Literally, a burger room. They offer five different burgers with options for vegetarians. Best burger in Jerusalem and one of the bests I've ever eaten. They have few interesting dishes and combinations but what's really good here are the patties. The meat is coarsely ground as it should, comes in a good size and done perfectly. All the other components are fresh and of high quality. The buns are soft and light, the vegetables are fresh and firm not mushi. The dressings and extras are home made and most of them are very delicious. The fries are good, comes with a sprinkle of parsely and lemon zest which for me was very nice. And finally the place is small and cozy, nice atmosphere and the service is great. The only thing that I less liked here is the fact that you order at the cashier and not from your table.

The basic order is of a single 120 gram patty, which costs between 38 to 48 shekels, depending on what type of burger you choose. You can add more patties for 12-14 shekels. The meal comes with a mix of fries. The staff was very nice, pleasant, amusing even. It should be noted that the place is very small and cannot serve a large amount of people simultaneously

Pros: Open at Saturday ( just few places in this area open at Shabbat), many toppings including not kosher, many people like their hamburgers, prices are ok. Cons: I didn't like the chicken burger that I ordered, my friend that order hamburger also wasn't satisfied. Service was a little bit slow. Not impressed. Came for poke bowls and inquired about gluten free options. The cashier was unhelpful, saying that everything was fine and we could order from the screens outside. Due to the unacceptable behavior of the employees of this establishment, I would say to go elsewhere for your sushi needs

This was delicious. Really wanted a burger and this did not disappoint. As an American I love a cheeseburger. Even with cheese the Golden Burger is amazing. We are part of the church and hope to start going to Israel every year or so. I plan to tell all future groups to try and get here for at least one meal. If I'm ever in Israel again I will definitely make a point to get another burger from here.

I normally order burgers here and they’re always pretty good but I had their chicken sandwich and the problem with that is it’s tiny pieces of chicken that fall out before you can even eat it so it doesn’t make any sense. It’s not the fault of the person making it it’s the company needs to make a nice big piece of chicken breast and not little bitty piecesthat fall out on the burger maybe if you get a baguette, it would hold it together, but I can’t figure out why it’s in pieces.

The best burger I've had in Jerusalem. The patty itself is delicious! The food is kosher,so they only offer vegan cheese, but I didn't even need it. Burger 32 is amazing. There are a few chairs and tables, but there's also places to sit in the park so it's really nice, in evening the weather is great for eating outside. They don't offer fries, so don't count on it, but you get a free drink or ice cream with every order

I love Moshiko. First, the staff are great. While you're waiting for your order, or sometimes are just queueing up, they'll hand out delicious falafel balls fresh out the fryer. It's enough to wet your appetite for the best schwarma in town. I always visit there. I love it. And so will you! It's incredibly reasonably priced too.

Good falafels, very friendly staff, low prices (starting from 18NIS for falafel in pita, 35NIS for falafel on a plate). Very good pita and laffa bread. They have some tables, so it's possible to sit down and eat while enjoying the view of a very alive street. Sometimes there's a line, mostly of tourists as Moshiko has their menu in English - most of the places around, with similar street food, have their menus in Hebrew only, so they don't catch that much attention of a hungry tourist. Cons - they don't have toilet; they don't serve tap water (only water in plastic bottles - what bothers my ecological conscience - for 7NIS), they serve food only on plastic plates.

As touristy as this place is, there's a good reason for it. Their fries stuffed pita and laffa is to Israel what a California burrito is to California. Delicious.

Great place for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is old DC with dark wood, long wrap around bar with indoor and out door seating. They specialize in Scotch, but have a wealth of other drinks including specialty cocktails. The appetizers are generous and can easily serve as a lunch. The salads are the same. I had their Bacon Cheeseburger with the tomato jam that was really flavorful, tender and well prepared. It came with well salted fries. This is now my goto for lunches on my occasional trips to my DC office.

One word is all that is needed - WOW. I asked Reddit where was the BEST DC Burger near the White House and they were right. This place was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The service, drinks and burgers were all top shelf at fair prices. Nearly went back again during our week's stay, now I know where the best burger in DC is and will be back on future visits.

The burgers are amazing and so are the milkshakes. My favorite is the strawberry cream milkshake. My only complaint would be the amount they give you, as much as I paid for the milkshake it'll be great to have it in a full size cup or fill my Togo cup to the top. I enjoyed the pickles they give you, I was told they make them in house, daily. I ate here 2x back to back and kept talking about how good it was so much that my boyfriend told me to go back months later since I've been raving about it.

The guys at the counter are very actively showing off but it is fun to watch. The malawach is great here indeed, the pastry is buttery and crispy, and you can choose the fillings including sauces, spreads, fresh veggies, hard boiled eggs etc. It costs 30 NIS, and it is pretty sizeable, best place to eat the the market.

Came with friends, and honestly expected stunt food but was pleasantly surprised. The malawach I ordered was perfectly cooked- flakey, warm and buttery. In terms of fillings, I just asked the guy to put his favourites in, which ended up being a great choice. The fillings ended up being delightful, all well seasoned and worked great together. My only gripe with the place was the ambiguous pricing, when I asked, the guy said 24nis, when I paid it was 33nis and online I’m seeing 30/34nis, so my recommendation for them is to clarify. 8.27.17 - fast and fresh. I'm not sure if this is a chain, but we ordered the memulawach and it was darn good. The bread is flaky, light, and chewy. The filling is flavorful and filling. Awesome fast food with really nice service.

The shakshuka is okay, but not nearly as good as homemade. Too much tomato paste and canned crushed tomatoes being used instead of fresh, so it's a little sour. Very little red pepper or other vegetables in the sauce. The eggs were cooked well however (half done yolk) and the grilled garlic bread was tasty. Enough for two people to share for breakfast for 35 shekels.

I still have dreams about the shakshuka wrap. Last time I was in Israel I took a day trip from tel Aviv to Jerusalem just to go to Jahnun bar. Everything here is so good wow.

Lovely little vegetarian bistro serving delicious middle eastern cuisine. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and explosion of tastes these meals bring onto your palate. There are couple of tables outside, make sure you watch the preparation, it is quite a show ;-)

I came in around 20:25, the place was far from full. It took more than 45 minutes to get any food. I couldn't see any order of which client they serve when. I would only go in if the place is empty or you need a whole hour to get hungry...

Very good bugers with lots of options! Quick efficient service ordered from a kiosk. Sweet potato fries, lots of tasty sauces, good bread options. They even have beer! I will go back to try the lamb burger. They have chicken too. Excellent location in the heart of the German Colony. When I was there they played this lovely background music, very chill and jazzy. Like this place, chill and jazzy, with cool healthy food. I guess if the place fills up it might loose its chill vibe, but they have to go too. If you're looking for a burger, look here.

Pinati is the place to go for classic hummus in an authentic local atmosphere. This beloved hummusia has been in Jerusalem for decades. Located right in the center of town, it's easy to get to and easy to find. Snag yourself a seat and feel like a local. (The hummus with meat is my go-to).

Pinati is an institution in its corner in King George St. and the pictures gallery inside is a proof of that. Staff working here is very warm and prices are good. I warmly recommend it.

one of the only places to remain relatively authentic, pinati still serves the same simple dishes it did 30 and 40 years ago: arguably the best hummus this side of jerusalem (with or without chickpeas, or if youre really hungry, with a heaping of minced meat), 2 types of kubbeh soup, rice and beans, moussaka...these are just some of my favorites. not for the faint of heart or delicate of palette. you may be asked to sit next to someone else in the cramp area, the waiters will definitely shout over your head, but to me this is just a part of the delicious experience

Located at the edge of Mahane Yehuda market, Arica Sabich offers just one thing: sabich, the combination of fried eggplant, slow-cooked egg, amba, chili sauce, tahini, hummus, and salads (cucumber, tomato, onions, pickles, herbs) in a freshly-baked pita or on a plate. The sabich here was traditional and rustically assembled. The slow-cooked egg was sliced and crushed, so it had a nice creamy consistency in the sandwich, and the highlight was the soft, chewy pita that held all the ingredients together.

Omg the best! We come here twice a day because it's so fresh and only about $6. Very satisfying mix of 8 hour cooked hard boiled egg, hummus, fresh veggies, and various magical sauces combined to make an explosive taste sensation that will have you coming back as a daily pilgrimage.

The pita is fresh from the oven, the ingredients are delicious and perfectly balanced, and the staff are courteous and lightning-fast. A note of caution: no matter how hard you try to eat neatly, you’ll still get tahini all over you… but it’s definitely worth it!

It is located across the busy Machaneh Yehudah Market. Aricha Sabich offers delicious food at an affordable price. You can definitely ask for help with your order if you don't understand the menu here. It is a friendly atmosphere, and the staff is always willing to assist with your order. Solid when fresh. Good flavor, a bit dry, but it is a smash burger, so you're getting that crust. Captain sauce seems to be a horseradish mayo. Onion rings are indeed real, bit over crusty. Overall good experience. Quick service and good location. Pricing is mid-to-high for a burger.

Waited around 40 minutes for our order, ordered three burgers and they literally got every single one wrong and mixed the orders between them. I ordered a double beef burger and another order was one lamb burger , I got a double lamb burger and they got one beef burger , the toppings were wrong and so on ... While we were eating , my sister laughed and ended up spitting her food all over me so yeah , not my best outing.

Zalman’s is a decent place to grab a quick meal. The hot dog was descent - I got a chicken one, my friend got beef - we weren’t overwhelmed, but thought they were good enough. They’re large, too - so pretty filling, as well. There are a lot of options for sauces/spreads - and they’re included with the cost. Prices were reasonable, and there is plenty of seating outside. The staff seemed a bit tired and unmotivated, but I’ve heard that the owner, Zalman, is really friendly.

The place is OK, but not beyond that. The service is quick, you have all the sausage toppings that you would like to take, but sausage was just OK, a really average one. I want to point out that this was a chicken sausage, maybe the others with beef are better.

Classic hot dog (larger than regular size) with all the fixings and thin french fries. Taste was good, though it was just that, a hot dog and fries, that tasted like frozen version not potato version.

Yummy hot dogs with sides, toppings, sauces. They forgot a topping on each of our hot dogs but the staff was upbeat and nice. There's also a free dispenser for syrup on the wall that you can mix with water or seltzer; a nice touch. The corn dogs are good though I found the coating a bit sweet and thick.

The hamburger (classic) was dry. The fries was the cheapest type, cheap like fast-food fries... The restaurant is not well ventilated so theirs a smell of smoke every place inside (and not the smell make you hungry) while outside people smoking. My daughter said the veggie burger was very good. The price more expensive than what you get.

They could so easily got a 5. I ordered the shawarma platter with some extra falafels. The meat had clearly been sitting on the grill for a while. People after me were lucky and got fresh cuts. The salad was good mostly just too much of it, as a platter I expect the meat and chips to be the highlight. The chips I think must have been fried hours ago, dried up and cold. Almost glad he only gave me a handful. Perhaps it was late and the day and the staff were just coasting. Plenty of other people there too, a few people ordered takeout after me.

I have eaten at quite a few Shawarma places around Jerusalem and I’m always looking for the most delicious. I read the reviews for this and most of them were really good so I tried it out and I was very pleased. It was a bit pricey but I’m not sure that it’s much more than any other place. The food was very good and the service was just fine. I would venture to say that it’s the best one around. If someone knows I’m better I’d like to check it out.

For the street food, it's a well known little place that is loved by locals and those who stumble into it following the little line of hungry regulars. There is basically one item on the menu: pita bread stuffed with fried eggplant, hard boiled egg, fresh vegetables and Hummus (cheakpeas paste) go for it!

Home made pita bread, delicious and clean. On lunch time very busy. (It's just one kind of course (if you don't know what sabich is...) but one of the best in israel

Terribly dirty place there were still vegetables on the chair (even after a worker cleaned it). The burger arrived without cheese (I ordered a (vegan cheese) burger), and there were no fries either. I had to go back to the branch and ask for both, and they acted like they were doing me a favor by giving them to me. Horrible place – I’m never eating there again.

Fantastic burgers to be had here and a great atmosphere just off the main market in Jerusalem. The burger was perfect done and came with a great combo of regular and sweet potato chips.

I would say solid, but unspectacular. There's a lot of hype surrounding this place and it's in the upper echelon of Jerusalem burgers, but I wouldn't say it's the best burger you can find in Jerusalem. However, good value for the price.

Fantastic service. They were out of my favorite...Filet Mignon and I wasn't feeling the entrecôte (ribeye). So onto the burgers it was. Originally planned on 100g of Filet and share half a burg with my buddy. Now I had to choose two burgers. One for me and one to share. I settled on rhe Cheesy one with "Bacon". Gotta say it looked a bit better in the picture. I think the bacon was goose breast, but I could be wrong. The (vegan) cheese was not too prevalent and think it was more of a sauce the a slice melted onto the burg. Then again I didn't see the making, so I cant be 💯. I asked for M, think it could have gone a bit longer to MW. Chips were nice, crispy on the outside, noce and fluffy on the inside. All in all I great experience, mainly due to rhe wonderful and helpful staff as always. Just can't wait to get my norm 🥩 (filet mignon)

We came across this place on a hot Saturday on our way back from the dead sea. The Google reviews were promising and I expected to find one of the new boutique chef burger-joints that have been popping up all over. My first suspicion was when we got there at 1pm and the place was empty. The owner promised us a delicious burger, so we stayed (also, there is nothing else for miles around). We ordered (reasonable prices) and waited. And waited. And waited. 30 minutes later, our order was ready. Second disturbing sign - they got our (very simple) orders all confused. To the burger itself - a dry husk of meat that tastes like a kebab. The bun was okay, but the rest was a big let down. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could, but feel like I should help lower the overall score to help others know what to expect. As for the high review score - probably friends and family of the owner.

Good falafel and salads, but not the top one. Decent portions. You have 5-6 tables to sit there. Quick and friendly service. Portion of falafel in pita is 19 nis, and that's not cheap. Local residents like this pace, so it can be crowded and it can take some time for making an order(depends on hours).

The place is really convenient, if you are coming with a lot of kids, and you need them to have a spacy place to safely play, while you look at them, even if you sit inside. The food is made relatively fast and it's tasty. It's kosher.

This place was fine. It has a nice outdoor patio. It is convenient to other useful places (laundry, ice cream, groceries and a nice produce store across the street). It might have good pizza, I don't know. The Falafel was only OK. I don't regret eating it, but there was no feeling of "This is great Falafel". More like "These teenagers were kind of taught how to make Falafel." No real complaint. Just not that special Great Falafel feeling. WHERE'S THE GREAT FALAFEL? Down the street, that's 400m SW on Herzl, on the right side, just two doors to the left of Domino's Pizza (which is on Google maps), is a Falafel place (that is not on Google maps). That place is REALLY GOOD. The Falafel has zing. Freshly fried balls, fresh tart salads, good hot sauces, hummus and tahina, really friendly fast professional service. There are some outdoor tables with roof overhead. There, one gets that "This is great Falafel" taste.

The chain of Shevach Falafel, with this branch being located right by the light train station of Denia Square, has been oparating for at least 15 years that I have been eating there, and throughout the years the price has barely gone up, yet the original recipe is still being used and the result is a seriously fast, and most importantly delicious falafel place. The falafel balls, the hummus and tahini are all on point not being over fried or too dry, they are perfectly mixed and spiced, added to a big option of fresh fillings makes up a meal to satisfy any hunger of the day, for any age range, and even vegan, as it is all made from natural products. In addition, they also serve pizzas and salads. Even though the Israeli mentality is to eat food on the go, the place does offer several places to sit down, including a big outside terrace with a small playground for children. All in all, I recommend this place for any occasion you might have when your slightly hungry.
