Crave Gourmet Street Food in Jerusalem offers a unique dining experience, blending classic American street food with Mexican and Korean influences. The menu, curated by former Tierra Sur chef Todd Aarons, features a variety of mouthwatering options such as sliders, Reubens, pulled brisket burritos, and Korean-inspired dishes. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a section dedicated to indulgent snacks like truffle oil french fries and panko crusted onion rings.
The chicken sandwich was moist and delicious. The nachos filled a craving I longed for from the states, however they were the “Best Nachos Ever”. The waitress was a as excellent. Steak was juicy and secular. Sandwiches was full of flavor.
Grphxink — Google review
If, like me, you stopped eating cheeseburgers at your Bar-Mitzvah, then let me tell you, the meat itself tastes WAY better than what I remember and the "cheese" makes it creamy like I'll never forget. And if somehow you've worked through all the burgers, the specials are Insane! Oh, and the beer selection is only topped by wait staff who bring such good vibes!
Phillip G — Google review
Fried foods were greasy and for the most part unseasoned. Chicken was dry. Salad tasteless and beyond oily. Extremely disappointed. Mostly American patrons who don't recognize good Israeli street food. To top it off Hechsher questionable.
Helen D — Google review
1-The burgers are awful, the sauce had an unrecognisable taste, the meat had no flavour and the bun was mediocre. The side dish (sweet potato chips) arrived 20 minutes before the burger. They were greasy and smelled like they had been fried three times. 2-There were at least five waitresses, and none of them were competent. The service was very, very slow. 3-It was dirty, very dirty, both the outdoor tables and chairs and the indoor dining area. The toilets looked like a prison and were filthy...
Lionel P — Google review
Gourmet burgers and hot sandwiches — exceptionally tasty. Average bill is about 100 NIS per person. The dining area is quite small. Good for small company events. A waiting list is possible during peak hours.
Yosef H — Google review
The burger and fries were really the best i ever had. You could taste the freshness and homemade ingrediënts. Thanks to the chef! Great job!
H W — Google review
Best burger in Israel!! High quality ingredients, prompt, friendly and efficient service. The bacon lamb is incredible. Good beer selection and if you have room for dessert, the apple pie rolls are amazing. It does get busy for obvious reasons but any wait is worth it.
Ric G — Google review
What an ammmmmazing kosher menu. We had to try everything and almost did. The Philly cheese steak, the Ruben, the brisket, duck fries and more. They have a huge bar menu and so many different items. When you get to machane Yehuda spend the night, get there early and be ready to wait. There is always a line but I think well worth it.

Ben-Sira Hummus is a renowned restaurant in Jerusalem, Israel that takes hummus to the next level. Unlike the store-bought versions found elsewhere, the warm and creamy chickpea-based dip here is a true Middle Eastern delight. The restaurant offers a variety of options to pair with their delectable hummus, such as crunchy falafel, spiced ground beef, fresh-baked pita, and Israeli salads.
Great find! Friendly and humorous service, great selection of dishes and lively atmosphere. We ordered a selection of hummus; beef, mushroom, cauliflower and chickpea. All great flavours and very filling. Falafel was also great. Highly recommend.
Bee K — Google review
Amazing place. No idea why it hasn’t 5.0 stars 🤩 great hummus, very smooth. Amazing Falafel. The Shakshuka is okay, not the best, but still good. Everything is fresh and plenty and you get your money’s worth.
Marcel K — Google review
Fantastic food. There’s really nothing else I can say to describe it. Ordered delivery a bit late, so some items weren’t available, totally my fault. Meat hummus was FANTASTIC and a gracious helping. Chicken and fries also amazing. Falafels have a slickness my son didn’t like but he ate the chicken and I ate the falafel, problem solved. Recommend highly, making it a regular spot.
Gabe U — Google review
As my first restaurant in Jerusalem I was very impressed. The falafel was quite good, hummus was good and prices weren’t too expensive. One thing I was confused about was the whole ordering and sitting down thing. So how it works is you order first then sit wherever you want and they bring the food out to you.
Allen L — Google review
Got to this location by foot because of a job we were doing nearby. Went here to get falafel and were surprised by the nice-boutique feeling of this small establishment. Got a falafel sandwich for each of us. 22nis each, on the high side price wise. The sandwich was great. Ben-sira, you got great balls! They had a crunchy exterior and a moist interior. I’m not sure if they do, but they tasted like they had fried onions in them. Hummus and tahini were phenomenal. And were made on location (note if you’re pregnant…). The pitta was soft and fresh. The veggies were in nice big chunks and had a fresh crunch to them. All in all, I liked this place. And I thank The Lord that I found this hole-in-the-wall. This location doesn’t seem to have Glatt meat. No close parking to this restaurant. —kosher rabbinate Jerusalem —

Best hummus I had in my Jordan/Israel trip! I ordered cauliflower and it tastes so good. The fried cauliflower adds more flavours into the plain hummus, it is just a great combination. (Also a vegetarian choice!) If I had more time I would’ve tried all the favours here! Heard the beef one is also good. There is just too much good food in Jerusalem.
Ngan E — Google review
Not sure how this place gets good ratings... It was pretty busy, tables were dirty, we were all cramped on each other when ordering at the register with people speaking over each other and the waitor squeezing in to get orders. My order was messed up 3 times because the girl just didn't listen. The hummus didn't taste good. I guess the only good thing was that my partner liked his food, which he describes as fast food. 75₪ for two hummus, one falafel order and a tea ... Seems way too expensive.

Stopped here for quick lunch before visiting Time Elevator which is 2 min walk away. This place is quick and tasty. Very affordable prices. Super friendly staff. Recommended.

Nestled in the heart of Jerusalem, Iwo's Meatburger stands out as the city's sole non-kosher burger haven, making it a unique culinary destination. This beloved eatery is renowned for its mouthwatering burgers, crafted from expertly grilled patties that are made to order. With an array of toppings available—ranging from crispy bacon and cheddar cheese to sunny-side-up eggs and grilled onions—there’s something for everyone at Iwo's.
Delicious hamburger—indeed the best I have had in Jerusalem. 250 grams of tasty perfectly cooked beef. Very good service. 5-7 minute walk from Jaffa Gate. I am coming again.
Kim B — Google review
I was looking for gluten free food on Wolt and found this place. I had a lamb burger with a gluten free bun. The bun was good, couldn’t tell it was gluten free. The lamb burger flavour had too strong a lamb flavour. I ordered a side salad and it was a decently large size.
Jane N — Google review
It is a basic burger place. The good side is that is not kosher so you can have cheeseburger but then one slice of cheese is 9 shekels. Burgers are good. The regular ones the meat is rather small. Cheese fries were a bit tasteless, the fried onions in the burger where actually burnt onions. Overall was ok, but too expensive for what they offer as overall experience.
Kris T — Google review
Wonderful burger, really good customer service, great experience all around. the people behind the counter were quick to answer any question I had, the food arrived really fast, and the price is pretty good for the area and the meal.
Itay — Google review
First after I ordered my burger and found out that it's too big for me, I asked the server to have it wrapped so it can be cut in halves. Then I finished half and asked the rest to be wrapped again for a take away. All requests are pleasantly fulfilled by them. Will certainly be back. The burger is unbeatably great!

I Like Burger. I do my Burgers in high charcoal Heat. Pure Beef, Sometimes Mixed with Lamb. Usually 200 g a Patty . Seasoned Just with grey seasalt only,. All Summer Long I Had No opportunity for a Barbecue at all. So I visited Iwo's butcher Shop and deli First. They directed me to the Burger Joint. I decided for Iwo's Classic Burger 400 g pure beef, wow, what a Patty. The bun Open with all the regular toppings. Sauces, Help yourself: Mayo, mustard, Chili, Ketchup and tobasco Red and Green. I am Happy smiling. Fries are a must. Meat tasted like pure beef. What a pleasure. 1-2-3 that's it. They also serve Burgers in a Plate without bun. Chicken Nuggets we're a Side dish, soakef with tobasco, garnished with chilli sauce and Mayo Like a Candy.
Frank B — Google review
This was a very good burger, the meat was super juicy, the toppings great. I did not like the bun; however i am not marking down for this as this type of brioche bun is the "in" bread right now. I had the potato wedges as my side. --fantastic They have the electronic menu ordering system, however the counter person took my order verbally along with explaining any options. If you looking for a burger this no frills joint is just the place!

Nestled in the vibrant Machane Yehuda market, Hachapuria is a delightful Georgian eatery that transports you straight to the Caucasus with its authentic flavors. Founded by Tango Sharvit, a Georgian Jew eager to share his culinary heritage, this cozy family-run spot has become a beloved fixture in Jerusalem. Each hachapuri—stuffed bread—is crafted fresh daily, ensuring every bite is an explosion of cheesy goodness.
Delicious food. The simplicity and freshness of it is so good. The bread is perfection. There are other places in Jerusalem that serve Khachapuri but this has got to be the best! Would highly recommend it either dining in or through Wolt. They are also big enough to possibly split between two people.
Calev A — Google review
Must go! It’s the restaurant with the best hygiene we’ve experienced in Israel (and we are comparing this to some of the top high end restaurants in Tel Aviv). Order the Georgian “pizza”, which is a freshly baked bread with cheese/spinach/mushroom topped with an egg. The bread is fluffy and crisp AND it doesn’t get soggy in the bottom even with the fillings! Also try the salad. So so fresh with a delicious homemade dressing. Eat here!! (Expect a queue but they’re so popular with the locals)
Catherine C — Google review
You can only order something at a big tablet like mc Donald’s self service. But instead of cheap prices, the food costs the same as in a service restaurant. It takes round about 20min until the food is ready and your name or number is called. We had the egg in a bread with spinach and cheese inside. The taste was really good and there are sauces as side dish. It was good, but I wouldn’t come here again because of the high price (55 Scheckel for one piece)
Animat M — Google review
Authentic Georgian food with Israeli twist. Just few meters from Mahane Yehuda open market. Ideal for quick bites, groups and tourists. Very tasty, quick and good service!! Expect to pay 35-40 NIS for a dish. Pretty big serves. Recommend!
Jeremy R — Google review
Great food. Good Beer. Cool people. We came here for dinner. It was our first Georgian meal and it was a great experience. The service was super nice and the food was already done in a few minutes. Maybe it's possible in the future to save some plastics and serve the sauces in little glasses or bowls and replace the plastic forks with reusables - at least for the people who eat there. 💪
Lennart W — Google review
FIVE STARS must eat here. Georgian (the country lol) dough baked in a special oven, made fresh to order. We got the one with the Spinach and cheese and the fried egg on top. INSTRUCTIONS TO EAT - if it’s your 1st time here, follow the server’s direction on how to eat it. Not with a fork. Use your hands and rip the dough. crack the egg yolk and twirl it around. And we also got the fried one, mind blown! 🤯
Nathan M — Google review
Megruli with spinach was very nice. The other dish was interesting, but too heavy. Be prepared as they don’t have a menu in English. But one of the servers speaks English. However, might be difficult during busy hours.
May — Google review
Good food, line is crazy on a Friday though. Prepare to order, take a 30 minutes walk and come back to eat while standing outside in the street. Still, a fun experience that goes perfectly with a walk in the market.

When exploring the vibrant coffee culture in Israel, one cannot overlook Aroma Espresso Bar, a beloved staple found in cities like Eilat, Nahariya, and Jerusalem. Nestled on Emek Refaim, this particular outlet is notable as the second of its kind to open. Aroma has established itself as a go-to spot for those seeking reliable quality and delicious brews. The Hillel branch boasts ample seating and complimentary WiFi, making it an inviting place to relax or catch up with friends.
The number one location to visit for breakfast before going to the Old City, plenty of seating both indoors and outside. The only downside is one single restroom which has been closed for customers recently.
Mikhail A — Google review
Just like Starbucks in Israel. Coffee is made fast, taste is just fine. Place is crowded and popular. Views are nice, place is located close to the Jaffa gate.
Kamila Ś — Google review
Quite a busy Aroma near Jaffa Gate. The food and coffee were okay, with generous portions. However, I didn’t appreciate that everything was served on disposable dishware — it took away from the dining experience.
Ron S — Google review
Food wasn’t so good and crazy expensive. They refuse to toast my bread and got each of my friends’ orders wrong. The staff were so rude and I will NEVER eat here again. Do not recommend
Gabriel E — Google review
A bit overpriced. Food is good. Mixing your order with otjers, but correcting eventually. Great place after walking in Old City though
Ivan R — Google review
We tried the Hebrew University and the Mamilla Mall branches. Both were super delicious. Let's start with the... Hot chocolate with marshmallows! Wow! Super chocolatey, and sweet. (Some will complain it's too sweet, this isn't Milo folks, it's hot chocolate) The croissant with salmon and mushrooms omelet was fresh, mixed with flavors and well seasoned. I waved in a pastry with date filling. It was hearty and delicious, enough to nosh on throughout the day. The salad is cucumbers and tomatoes, served without dressing it is a nice touch and a great way to start the day! This is my new favorite place for hot chocolate!
Keith C — Google review
Some staff was friendly. There is vegan option food and coffee is not bad also. Good for a quick grab. Similar to high street cafes in uk.
Julia H — Google review
Aroma coffee is (as far as I understood) like Starbucks in Israel. The prices are good and the coffee is modest. The staff is really really rude and disorganized. We had the salmon sandwich + salad, it was really tasty and fresh.

Nestled in the vibrant Mahane Yehuda Market, Burger Market has quickly become a must-visit destination for burger lovers in Jerusalem. This trendy spot offers an impressive selection of thick, juicy patties paired with a variety of toppings, from savory portobello mushrooms to luxurious foie gras. Diners can choose between classic fries or crispy sweet potato fries, making every meal customizable and delicious.
One of the best value for money places i have been in a while. The meat just melts in your mouth, the place has a great vibe, clean and well decorated. Enjoy!
Inbal P — Google review
Very average to low grade burger, they don’t give any extra attention to make it something worth going back to. I personally don’t think they have much returning customers for the above reasons and with the amount of good places to eat I would find a better place next time in the area.
Adam J — Google review
I arrived at the store on a Saturday evening If you are hungry and want good service this is not the place for you do yourself a favor and get out of there June 21, 2025 at 11pm The cashier was very rude, sat there with her friends who tried to make fun of us I paid her for an order - then she said I didn't pay and didn't send the order. After 2 hours we received the order after arguing תתרחק !!! Stay away.
צדק א — Google review
Burger Market in the Mahane Yehuda Market offers a solid burger and good beer. The service is generally good, and the atmosphere is lively. However, the fries aren’t the best, and as someone who lives nearby, I find the noise levels quite high and sometimes uncomfortable. There’s also a strong smell coming from the food — vegetables and meat — that rises into the residential areas. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a bite, but the environment could be a bit more considerate of the neighbors.
Tamir C — Google review
The most disgusting service I have ever received. I bought there 3 times prior, enjoyable food, especially when at work. today, I ordered exactly the same thing, and when I got it, I got a cardboard in the middle of it. Now, I'm all for there being cardboard if the bun is a dry bun with no sauces, but the bun was full of sauces, so the cardboard is right up in my food, with the sauces on it as you can see in the pics. When I called to complain, they said they always send their burgers that way, to which I responded that it is not correct, I have ordered a few times prior and never had this. Until wolt got a response from them, I was hungry, the burger was stone cold, and they refused, any compensation or a remake, all they did was shouted back at me, a fully paying customer and refused to do anything and hung up the phone. I have the call recorded, so it can be heard at a later stage. Also when I commented on their facebook, they sent me a message asking for my number to discuss, to which I responded with it, and of course I got no response at all. Their service sucks, I will never buy there again, and due to their and Wolt's service in reference to this, I withdrew my membership to Wolt+ and have closed my account with them. The fact that Wolt, the company I ordered through, couldn't deal with it, they lost a customer, who's average day had a spend of between 150 and 500 shekels.
Yossi F — Google review
Absolutely the best veggie burger I have ever eaten... the fries are unique it’s a combination of French fires and crisps, A MUST! they bake the buns as well so that’s well appreciated and above all the vide just invites you to come in and enjoy

JahnunBar is a Yemenite sandwich place known for its signature dish, the jahnun, but visitors rave about the malawich. The malawich features freshly cooked flaky flatbread topped with delicious sauces, a hard-boiled egg, and veggies. It's described as a saucy, flaky, and greasy marvel that's perfect for curing a hangover.
The owner is here during the day and he makes an UNFORGETTABLE wrap. Ask him to make it the way he likes if you’re not too picky and indulge in the best shakshuka wrap of your life!!!!! The evening staff is good as well but the owner’s personality is a really fun part of the experience!
Daphne R — Google review
The guys at the counter are very actively showing off but it is fun to watch. The malawach is great here indeed, the pastry is buttery and crispy, and you can choose the fillings including sauces, spreads, fresh veggies, hard boiled eggs etc. It costs 30 NIS, and it is pretty sizeable, best place to eat the the market.
Viktor L — Google review
8.27.17 - fast and fresh. I'm not sure if this is a chain, but we ordered the memulawach and it was darn good. The bread is flaky, light, and chewy. The filling is flavorful and filling. Awesome fast food with really nice service.
A L — Google review
The shakshuka is okay, but not nearly as good as homemade. Too much tomato paste and canned crushed tomatoes being used instead of fresh, so it's a little sour. Very little red pepper or other vegetables in the sauce. The eggs were cooked well however (half done yolk) and the grilled garlic bread was tasty. Enough for two people to share for breakfast for 35 shekels.
Lu X — Google review
I still have dreams about the shakshuka wrap. Last time I was in Israel I took a day trip from tel Aviv to Jerusalem just to go to Jahnun bar. Everything here is so good wow.
Tyler T — Google review
The best jachnun!!!! Easy to find but no seating inside, however there’s a little park area across the seat with benches. Not much choice here so luckily the only real thing to think about is whether or not you want an egg in it. Do it. You won’t regret it. It’s a malawah wrap with egg and other goodies inside. Fresh and made to order
Mitchell G — Google review
Lovely little vegetarian bistro serving delicious middle eastern cuisine. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and explosion of tastes these meals bring onto your palate. There are couple of tables outside, make sure you watch the preparation, it is quite a show ;-)
Jan C — Google review
The main dishes here are jahhnun and melawwahh. The place has a kosher certificate. I had the melawwahh. It is somewhat like a moist thick fried pancake, filled with your choice of delicious dairy and vegetarian toppings, and folded up. It filled me up for only 25 NIS. The workers show off a bit, flipping the melawwahh high in the air. ADDED: Now during coronavirus, these are things you can eat conveniently standing up or walking. The price hasn't gone up, and the taste, if anything, has gotten even better!

The menu features mouthwatering South American-inspired sandwiches, with the assado sandwich often stealing the spotlight as a crowd favorite.
Breath of fresh air, great place to eat by, my wife and I were walking around the shuk and everything looked to familiar and plain, and then we landed in this place, it looks a little different at the beginning but the food that came out was really good, i almost ended up ordering another meal while sitting there! It was delicious my mouth is watering while writing this review a day later! Incredible food! Had the La Paluda sandwich (burrito) — asado with delicious green salsa. Empanada also very, very good. Food was fast and hot.

Nice place in the middle of the Shuk, for my opinion the food is not great, but it is OK. Place with good vibes, definitely not for romantic dinner, you have a lot of noise from other places near Pepitos. The service was fast. Not expensive. All the sitting places are outside.

Burgers Bar is a well-known kosher fast-food restaurant with multiple branches across Israel, including outlets on Jaffa Street and Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem. It has gained popularity for offering quality American fast-food cuisine in a kosher format. Customers have praised the delicious food, generous service, and welcoming atmosphere at Burgers Bar. The staff is professional, and the prices are great. The restaurant offers a variety of sauces and seating options, including upstairs seating.
If you are looking for delicious food served in good company, then this is it. The juiciest burger I've ever eaten, the most generous and heartwarming service and the people are just amazing! While I was enjoying my meal they prepared an equally delicious dish for a homeless and treated him as if he were an important guest. I want to eat in a place like this!!! Love you guys! You are amazing!!!

You could find this place near Jerusalem Municipality/Old City. Small place, but nice & convient service, there is also order terminal. We ordered Classic Burger with smashed potatoes+ Tortilla with chicken breast and french fries, and really enjoyed it! Plenty choice of sauces, btw. Total price for 2 full meals was 150 NIS.
Dmitrii S — Google review
Terrible service. The burrito is completely inedible, though the burger is somewhat acceptable. I ordered shredded meat as an extra for the burrito, but they forgot to add it and just gave it separately. The place is dirty, and the service is awful.

This burger joint is doing well, but burnt buns and patties shouldn't be served to customers! It was a very bad experience! My stomach and the inside of my mouth are very uncomfortable right now!

Really enjoyed my early evening burger with my wife. The place was relatively clean (even the tables), the burger was well made and tasty with French Fries, and the atmosphere was very good. Fare prices, great location in the city centre.... will return.

Hamburger restaurant
Harvey's Burger Shack is a popular spot in Jerusalem, founded by an immigrant from Canada who previously ran the city's upscale restaurant, Gabriel. This American-style barbecue smokehouse has become one of the trendiest places in town. The specialty at Harvey's Burger Shack is their smashed burgers, known for their crispy outside and juicy inside. While some may find the 125g size limiting, others can opt for double or triple patties for a heartier meal.
We always have a business lunch special which is a Social burger, fries or salad, and a drink, totally worth it for what you're getting. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Have been back a few times. Joe is a great guy, very friendly and the staff is the same. Same owners as Harvey's Smokehouse. If you're a meat lover in Jerusalem, both of these places are worth a visit! Greg & Tuli Quinn, Australian tourists.

Food was great! We were nine people. Called ahead since we were so many to reserve a table (its a small space). They said only if we were 10 could they reserve. When we arrived, there was plenty of seating but they had to move tables around, since they refused to reserve for us in advance. The shape of the tables ended up being awkward and uncomfortable. The service was not great, never collected the menus until I did it for them. Gave water but forgot to bring cups. silly things. It was cold and the heater could not keep up.
Michael F — Google review
Best Burgers in Jerusalem! It starts with the ambiance of the place. Really colorful and happening. There is a huge hand painted mural that introduces you to the unique experience of Harvey’s. The place is large and there is plenty of room. But if you’re coming with a large party, I’d make a reservation. The burgers are phenomenal. Most places have mediocre burgers that are hidden by sauces and toppings. This place starts with an incredible burger as the foundation of an incredible sandwich. Harvey offers ‘smash burgers’. A smash burger is cooked on a grill with high heat allowing the beef to carmelize in a special way. Each topping has its own unique flavor and quality. My favorite is the Montréal smoked meat. A definite ‘must’ for any trip in Jerusalem.

The food came very quickly, the waitress was pleasant, the food was delicious 🤤 where do they get that fake cheese??? Overall, great experience and I highly recommend that you try it too!
Chaya L — Google review
I went for lunch and had the Chorizo sausage topped with a sunny side up egg and the Jack Daniels burger topped with vegan cheddar and assado(short rib) bacon. Both were very good my only complaint is the standard burger is on the small side, 125gr about 4.5oz and it gets lost in the bun and topping.
Moshe S — Google review
So I've been here two times. Both experiences were amazing! This is a rare find in Jerusalem (yes, it's kosher). Exquisite burgers, pastrami and smoked meats all prepared on-site. The chef is experienced, passionate and truly eager to serve up killer food. The Reuben Burger 🍔 is delicious and the onion rings are hand battered one by one. If you want a delicious budget friendly meal in the center of Jerusalem, this is the spot!

I ordered the pastrami sandwich and it was more bread than meat. Even though the meat was very good, it was a little underwhelming.

Nestled in the vibrant Mahane Yehuda market, Mian Noodles is a delightful Chinese eatery that specializes in an array of noodle dishes, particularly their renowned hand-pulled noodles. This cozy spot offers five distinct types of noodles—ramen, egg, spinach, carrot, and rice—paired with various meat and vegetarian toppings to cater to all palates. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, making it a perfect retreat after exploring the nearby Old City.
A very decent Noodle shop by Israeli standards. The restaurant is not large but the owner made every attempt to accommodate all 6 of us. We felt really at home here because the owner, who came to Israel more than 30 years ago, treated us like old friends and gave us a lot of tips about sightseeing in Jerusalem and its surroundings. In terms of taste, the Noodles tasted firm and the ingredients were freshly prepared. The tender slices of beef are slow cooked in soysauce beforehand because beef are really expensive here. While it isn't exactly a cheap meal, I enjoyed my two meals here and am grateful for the owner's hospitality.

The staff is very nice, the place looks great and very calm. The price was ok, is around 50 ₪. The menu is ok also, there is not a lot of meals. So i ordered the tofu soup with shiitake mushrooms. It cost me 55. And also a first meal that was amazing but a bit expensive. The soup was ok, it took a while to get use to the taste, its not for everyone. Worth checking out maybe you will love it, or you will hate it.

Big Apple Pizza is a family-owned local chain that offers New York-style pizza, pasta, and subs in a simple setting. The pizza has a perfect crisp base with just the right bite, flavorful sauce, and delicious cheese. While it may be a bit pricey for some, the taste makes it worth trying. The restaurant also offers indoor and outdoor seating options.
I went quite late so it was not that busy. Pizza typical New York style. Got a plain slice to try, perfect crisp base. Just the right bite, the sauce actually tasted of something other than just tomatoes. I added oregano so I am guessing the rest was just basil and garlic. The cheese was perfect. I will try and sneak another couple of slice in the next day. My hotel is literally across the main street.

We had a difficult experience ,my young child urgently needed the restroom and at first we were told it’s only for customers. With kids, compassion should come first. Jewish law teaches that kavod habriyot (human dignity) takes precedence, and no child should be put in that situation.

The owner (or whoever was the older person setting up the trays), is extremely rude. I already paid for the pizza, otherwise I would have left the place when he literally ripped a napkin I took out of my hands while shouting at me in the local language. The pizza was good, don’t know if NY style or not, but it was good and well loaded with all the ingredients we ordered.

One of the best old pizzas in Jerusalem and in Israel. 🍕 It’s really pricey, cost 15 nis per slice which is like 3.75 euros and not sure on the value for money as the slice is small but very tasty so totally recommended to try. For owners: reduce prices so people return more. And also how about offering good gluten free options as well?

Yosef's burgers are amazing, and available in a wife variety of sizes. I recomend the "skyscraper" size. Go there and you will know exactly what I mean. They have an a unique recipe for wings that everyone needs to try. For Passover they use a special kind of potato flour for their hamburger buns that taste just right. Even on Pasosver they are still the best Hamburger place in Jerusalem. Their quality of meats is unmatched. Good Job.

Fantastic kosher hamburgers for good prices. The value meal is very good. For 55 shekels you get a main dish, a side dish and a drink. I chose the Mexican burger, 240 grams of a good, spicy burger, accompanied by the house's fries. Both were very tasty and satisfying. You can add many toppings to the hamburgers as well, including duck liver and more.

Chili Pizza is a delightful fast-food spot that offers a variety of traditional toppings, catering to those who enjoy non-kosher options. From classic combinations like ham and pineapple to spicy beef with sweetcorn, there's something for everyone. While they do have ready-made slices available, the freshly made individual pizzas are definitely worth trying, even if some find the crust slightly undercooked. The menu also features pasta and desserts for those looking to indulge further.
One of if not the best pizza place close to the old city. You can costumasie your pizza and add any ingredient which you like, but remember that it cost additional money. The food is hot and good, the service is fast and I had no problem communicating with the staff in English. Staff alone is chill and happy to help. They give cup's to your drink and pack the leftovers if you ask for it. The souses are laying on the table inside and you can use them if you wish. Also if it's cold outside they will turn on heating so that is a great plus. If you're a beer enjoyer i recommend taki g IPA beer, it's very good! Living close by. One of not so many places open in Shabbat. Made a half kilometer walk in the summer heat to first time try them and personally choose and order . As I was looking for advice the dude at the counter told me to wait and… walked out to have a cigarette. I waited patiently a couple of minutes standing alone in the middle of the restaurant, then once again asked him to come over and give service. He gave me a sign again that he’s busy smoking and continued chilling outside. I left. First and last visit.

The Pizzas are by far not the worst, but they arent wow. Theyre just good. Decent. The service can be much better especially when ordering. Considering we ordered 2 pizzas and a large cola we got no cups, and only 1 packet of seasoning, 1 packet of oregano, and 1 of chilli. For 2 whole pizzas. The prices at least are "low". Not that theyre actually low, theyre just low considering the rest of the market. Overall 3/5. Not bad. Ive had much worse but also much better.

When you're on the go and craving a quick bite, McDonald's is often the go-to spot for many. This iconic fast-food chain has been serving up its famous burgers and fries for years, making it a reliable choice. One standout option is the Entrecote burger, which some say surpasses the classic Big Mac—though be mindful of how it's cooked! In Israel, McDonald's maintains a level of quality that sets it apart from other local franchises.
Legendary Jerusalem McDonald’s branch! Renovated, modern, cozy, fresh and bright. Not kosher of course. Children’s playground. Open all night long. Very good vibes! So happy it’s back to business and reopened its doors to everybody!

The ordering was fine although the promo with my card was not available when I wanted to pay. I took a number for table delivery but after seeing a few people who ordered after me receive their food I went to the counter to pick up my order. The fries were not crispy or hot. The Coca-Cola was flat and sweet. The nuggets were cold pieces of chicken like meat. The honey mustard sauce was spicy and not sweet. The double mini royal tasted like the meat had been put in the microgal. The meat had an odd texture. Nothing was good at all. They had just mopped so the dining room was clean. It was just before 12 on Thursday so it was not busy! 67 shekels and not good.

Food wasn’t prepared properly as they rushed to make many orders the attention on quality is poor. Ordered pan fried rice and received a watered rice uncooked with rapidly prepared chicken.. the management showed wake up and pay attention to what comes out of the kitchen
Adam J — Google review
As someone who grew up in Asia, I’ll admit—I usually approach “Asian” restaurants abroad with cautious optimism (and a fair bit of skepticism). Too often, the flavors just don’t land the way I remember. So when I went to get takeout at Thailandi on Jaffa Street, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was in for. I started with the eggrolls, and they were a delight. Not only was the wrapper perfectly golden and crunchy, but the vegetables inside added their own fresh, crisp bite—a double crunch that made them impossible to stop eating. For the main, I ordered their Pad Thai. To my surprise, it was wonderful. Was it exactly like the Pad Thai from the bustling streets of Bangkok? Not quite—especially since I skipped the peanuts, which usually bring that extra layer of flavor. But what arrived at my table carried a familiar warmth, reminding me more of the Indonesian-style Chinese dish, Kwetiau, with its sweet-savory balance. And honestly? I enjoyed it so much that I went back for a second round—and I already know I’ll be returning again. Sometimes, dining out isn’t about finding perfect authenticity; it’s about discovering dishes that feel both comforting and new at the same time.
Avigayil A — Google review
I tried the noodles with mix meat (chicken and beef) and found it to be very mediocre. It is important for me to note that I bought a takeaway which mean it wasn't completely fresh. What I do like is the location. Jeff street is one of my favorite place in Israel 😄
Tomer R — Google review
Great location, near the railway. tasty food in a great price. All of the dishes are served in a big bowl. 2 people can eat 1 dish and ofc be full after that.this place offers vegetarian dishes as well.
Lola D — Google review
Serving size was generous and my khao phat kaphrao tasted authentic with the right amount of spice I’d asked for. However, the dish was very oily and on the salty side. I tilted the dish to show the collection of oil that accumulated. The rice tasted old and some parts were stuck together. The sesame chicken was heavily breaded so I wasn’t a fan. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff seemed overwhelmed and aloof. Meal was still cheaper than McDonald’s though.
Grazeradinfinitum — Google review
Weakest aspect was the thought put into how they organised their digital ordering systems as one by the door effectively blocks the front door. Food was good though. That said, modifications to our order were ignored and due to miscommunication my order went to another customer for a while…

Arais Machane Yehuda is a popular spot known for its delicious Turkish cuisine, where the food is prepared in front of customers. The juicy meat and freshly baked bread create a mouthful of flavor in every bite. The portions are generous, including three pieces of meat in bread, salad, spicy pepper, and sauces. The potatoes are also baked to perfection. Despite being busy, the outstanding customer service ensures a great experience.
The food is delicious, part of the Turkish cuisine and prepared in front of the customer. The meat was juicy, the bread was baked in an oven on fire. Also, for the price the portion is pretty good, definitely satisfying - you get three pieces of meat in bread, a small salad, spicy pepper and sauces. The potatoes are also baked similarly. It takes around 15 minutes for the food to get ready. The only thing that is a little bit inconvenient is that there are not many places to sit, and one must wait or even eat standing, eventually... The music was really loud, so it depends what kind of experience one looks for.
Gergana D — Google review
Pretty decent for street/garage food. I tried the lamb arias three times, it was that good to me as a foreigner on vacation, and my only complaint is that on occasion the toasted bread is quite burnt. But this crispiness adds a nice texture to the juicy meat inside. The potato skins are thick and yummy, but other veggies like green beans and broccoli are not so good and not worth ordering. If you order on Wolt, it is straightforward and delivery is on time or a little bit early, which is appreciated. Not stellar as it's just street food, but for street food, it's not bad at all.

Disappointing, to say the least. The meat is from a freezer, prepared with a lot of dripping fat and the pieces of pita it comes qith, a burnt beyond recognising. Stay away.

Fantastic little place! We had a recommendation from the hostel we were staying at for some delicious street style food. I had the meat pita and have to say it was delicious. The place was busy with a cool atmosphere.

The most delicious arais I've ever eaten! Located near the Mahane Yehuda market. The most successful mutton of the meat types. Get three relatively small pieces so don't recommend sharing, relatively expensive but worth every bite (41 shekels per dish). If you are in Jerusalem you must visit here!
מור נ — Google review
the food is amazing i ordered the entrecôte arais and it was so delicious , and for the price is really convenient. there are a lot of seats outside but the place is crowded because the food is too good

Taste: Tasty, But not what i expexted. The pita is crispy, But every bite forcing the meat to find the way out from the pita. Overall is good but not that special as i thought.

Great place. Not the beat Arias that I eat , but very tasty overall . They have new sitting place (expend the current one). The price is quite expensive. Place with good vibes. Need to improve cleaning.

If you're on the hunt for a delicious bite in Jerusalem, look no further than Tommy's, nestled in the charming neighborhood of Shaarei Hesed. This cozy eatery prides itself on high levels of Kashrut and shmita observance, ensuring that every meal is prepared with care. While they specialize in mouthwatering burgers—often hailed as some of the best in Israel—they also offer a variety of chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, and even non-meat options to cater to all tastes.
Great environment, a bit small for groups, crazy good burgers, and solid service.
Jake B — Google review
Tommy's is a small restaurant in Shaarei Hesed, with high levels of Kashrut and shmita observance. They have several types of burgers, but also chicken wings, sandwiches and salads, with some non-meat variations. This is not a fast food restaurant; each dish is made to order. Most of their business is take away and delivery, as there is hardly any room to eat in.
Arthur L — Google review
I broke a tooth while eating a 300g burger from your place last night. There were small bone fragments in the meat that literally split my tooth in half. I find it disgraceful that you're using such low-quality minced meat, especially considering the price you charge for your burgers! Everyone already knows your service is poor. You regularly forget drinks in the order, you put a tiny spoonful of quinoa in the salad, your chicken wings are full of hair etc.... But this is beyond unacceptable. Shame on you!
Hurbert K — Google review
After waiting an hour, I was served a burger that was both underwhelming and incorrectly cooked. Despite ordering it medium-rare, it arrived overcooked, completely ruining the experience. Not worth the long wait or the price.

They definitely have from the better burgers in israel however both times I was here I had to wait over half an hour for my food

We got delivery to our hotel. The delivery came within 40 minutes. Pros: The burger was super delicious, a nice size. Very tasty. My bun was toasted and my husband's wasn't, for some reason.... Cons: My husband got mayo on his burger, which he didn't order. The fries had no salt and no flavor. We ended up throwing them out because they were so unappealing. We had no salt packets to put on them; why don't Israelis salt their fries?? We also ordered spicy fries, and these were a joke - there was a shake of paprika or something on top of a few of them. Not a hint of spice, no salt, no flavor. We also ordered chicken poppers which were okay. Burgers = great Fries = waste of space and ended up being garbage

Hamburger restaurant
Nestled in a discreet corner on Azza Street, Burger Room JLM has quickly become a beloved destination for burger enthusiasts in Jerusalem. Despite its non-kosher status, which raised some eyebrows given the neighborhood's character, this eatery has carved out a niche among locals and students from Rehavia. The menu boasts an impressive variety of burgers—seven options including the popular Beyond Burger—paired with unique toppings like fig jam and jalapeno that add an exciting twist to traditional flavors.
1-man show, and he delivers! Family of 5 (1 baby), got our food in less than 18 minutes, and it was delicious! Great burgers with no cheap gimmicks - exactly what I look for when I go out eating hamburgers.
Tal A — Google review
The place is small and clean, there is an outside area to seat, inside is very cold so be ready to eat your burger with your coat on. Service is friendly and fast, prices are usual for Israeli restaurants - not cheap. I’ve got a basic hamburger and it wasn’t tasty, unfortunately. The beef patty was tiny and dry. Chips were good and crispy. The place is not kosher but this is the only benefit about it.
Olga R — Google review
I visited this burger place and went for the vegan option. The patty was flavorful, the bun was fresh, and the toppings were well-balanced. However, the portion size felt quite small for the price, making it a bit less satisfying than expected. Still, it's a solid choice for those looking for plant-based options, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming, which added to the experience.
Michael N — Google review
Literally, a burger room. They offer five different burgers with options for vegetarians. All burgers comes with different toppings and the combinations are very creative, the overall outcome is very tasty and the menu feels much bigger than it is. I was expecting a bit more intensity on the flavours, but again, the buns are great, the meat and so are all other ingredients. Service is quick and friendly. Recommended!
Gil P — Google review
Best burger in Jerusalem and one of the bests I've ever eaten. They have few interesting dishes and combinations but what's really good here are the patties. The meat is coarsely ground as it should, comes in a good size and done perfectly. All the other components are fresh and of high quality. The buns are soft and light, the vegetables are fresh and firm not mushi. The dressings and extras are home made and most of them are very delicious. The fries are good, comes with a sprinkle of parsely and lemon zest which for me was very nice. And finally the place is small and cozy, nice atmosphere and the service is great. The only thing that I less liked here is the fact that you order at the cashier and not from your table.
Daniel L — Google review
Awesome fries, burger has very good flavor though patty a bit small. Ingredients fresh and tasty. Grab the classic beef with a ginger beer. A go-to type spot; would return.
Bgui — Google review
One of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten! The place has a limited selection of 5 types of hamburgers, but each of them is just so damn tasty. The basic order is of a single 120 gram patty, which costs between 38 to 48 shekels, depending on what type of burger you choose. You can add more patties for 12-14 shekels. The meal comes with a mix of fries. The staff was very nice, pleasant, amusing even. It should be noted that the place is very small and cannot serve a large amount of people simultaneously
Sunny S — Google review
Pros: Open at Saturday ( just few places in this area open at Shabbat), many toppings including not kosher, many people like their hamburgers, prices are ok. Cons: I didn't like the chicken burger that I ordered, my friend that order hamburger also wasn't satisfied. Service was a little bit slow. You don't have much place to sit outside, it's more take away place. Chips that you get with hamburger weren't well made.

At Atza Sushi Mehadrin, customers can expect excellent sushi and service. The establishment is known for its commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring that patrons leave happy. Additionally, they offer pre-made rolls at a discounted price for easy pickup. Over the years, loyal customers have developed personal favorites such as the sweet potato chips roll, spider roll, and chop soy with salmon or chicken.
The freshness of the ingredients is unparalleled, and the presentation is always on point. From classic rolls to creative rolls or platters, every bite is a delight. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with friendly staff who always make you feel welcome. Prices might be slightly higher than some other places, but trust me, it's worth every penny. Can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious sushi!

Not impressed. Came for poke bowls and inquired about gluten free options. The cashier was unhelpful, saying that everything was fine and we could order from the screens outside. After we had already ordered we went to confirm that everything was gluten free and *only then* (after we had already ordered and paid) she realized that the cooked salmon had gluten. We had to switch to raw- which should be 10 shekel cheaper but we were refused to be reimbursed the difference. The poke bowl itself is mediocre. You only get to choose 4 toppings aside from the fish which is a little pathetic. Had to go back and ask for ginger which they did not give. However the bowl itself is a decent size. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service. The staff were rude and inconsiderate especially with considering a dietary restriction that they should be aware of and accommodate. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. Nothing special. Kosher L'Mehadrin. Overall, would not recommend. Due to the unacceptable behavior of the employees of this establishment, I would say to go elsewhere for your sushi needs

This is one of the tastiest and most flavorful burgers I've ever eaten. Great hamburger ! Tasted their regular burger and also their special burger. Both were great, I prefer the regular to the special meat that tastes a bit like sweet brisket. Best hamburger in Jerusalem, regular hamburger costs 58₪ not cheap in my opinion but worth it.
Yahli P — Google review
This is easily the best kosher burger I've ever had, and it’s even better than most non-kosher spots I’ve tried. The sauce is incredible, and the bun was toasted so perfectly it tasted like it was fried in butter. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but I promise it's completely worth it for a burger this good. An absolute must-try if you're in Jerusalem! 🍔

Aka is a Turkish kebab restaurant located near Shuk Machane Yehuda, offering a unique twist on traditional shawarma. Their veal and pistachio kebab served in Lavash Flatbread with optional parev yogurt has garnered praise for its outstanding flavor. The menu also features goose leg confit sandwiches and goose fat roasted potatoes. While the prices are considered a bit high, many find the culinary experience to be well worth it.
This shawarma is so different and better than regular shawarmas, that other shawarmas seem to me a waste of my time and money
Rami S — Google review
Good taste, different than I used too(vegan yogurt and cashew) but it was nice. The only reason for 3 stars is because the portion isn't big enough, no fries included with the meal, and for the price of 64 shekels it's not worth it.

Excellent doner place in the most famous market in JLM. They take the laffa (or wrap) which is very thin and rub it against the meat to absorb all the flavor, add some almond- garlic paste (scordilia), tomatoes, red onion and yoghurt. A bit pricy imo but delicious 🔥

I normally order burgers here and they’re always pretty good but I had their chicken sandwich and the problem with that is it’s tiny pieces of chicken that fall out before you can even eat it so it doesn’t make any sense. It’s not the fault of the person making it it’s the company needs to make a nice big piece of chicken breast and not little bitty piecesthat fall out on the burger maybe if you get a baguette, it would hold it together, but I can’t figure out why it’s in pieces.

The best burger I've had in Jerusalem. The patty itself is delicious! The food is kosher,so they only offer vegan cheese, but I didn't even need it. Burger 32 is amazing. There are a few chairs and tables, but there's also places to sit in the park so it's really nice, in evening the weather is great for eating outside. (Translated by Google) A disappointing experience, from the reviews and the rating I expected more, but this is a reasonable Hamburg and nothing more. There are hardly any arranged seating, but it is nice to sit around in the garden. There is hardly any selection on the menu in terms of hamburgers, which is acceptable when you want to emphasize the quality of the meat, but this was really not the situation - we got a medium veal patty on the verge of the veal dan that was boring, not juicy and not really tasty. Round chips from the frozen genre. The price is fine.

The Falafel restaurant Moshiko Falafel is a great place to get tasty falafel. The flat breads are big and filling, and it's also convenient to order take out. There is a small shop with a few stools inside, as well as outside on the pedestrian street for you to enjoy your meal.
Shawarma was delicious. Great quick and hearty bite. I ordered the shawarma laffa (flat bread) and it was a huge portion for me 36NIS. If you are petite, a half portion would be perfect. Ask for everything on it, and enjoy! :) The shop is small, mostly for take out. They shop has a few stools inside and 4-6 tables on the pedestrian street for you to sit and enjoy your meal. They conveniently have a sink for washing hands, but no toilet.

The falafel place to visit in Jerusalem. Great food and interesting street full of colorful characters and people from all over the world stopping by to grab a falafel. Cant go wrong with Moshiko!
Rod F — Google review
I love Moshiko. First, the staff are great. While you're waiting for your order, or sometimes are just queueing up, they'll hand out delicious falafel balls fresh out the fryer. It's enough to wet your appetite for the best schwarma in town. I always visit there. I love it. And so will you! It's incredibly reasonably priced too.
Bose A — Google review
Good falafels, very friendly staff, low prices (starting from 18NIS for falafel in pita, 35NIS for falafel on a plate). Very good pita and laffa bread. They have some tables, so it's possible to sit down and eat while enjoying the view of a very alive street. Sometimes there's a line, mostly of tourists as Moshiko has their menu in English - most of the places around, with similar street food, have their menus in Hebrew only, so they don't catch that much attention of a hungry tourist. Cons - they don't have toilet; they don't serve tap water (only water in plastic bottles - what bothers my ecological conscience - for 7NIS), they serve food only on plastic plates.
Aneta M — Google review
As touristy as this place is, there's a good reason for it. Their fries stuffed pita and laffa is to Israel what a California burrito is to California. Delicious.

The burger was fantastic — the patty was thick, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh pickles added a nice crunch, and the wing sauce we had as an appetizer was spot on — just the right balance of spicy and sweet. You can choose between fries or a salad with your burger, and I went with the kale salad — it paired beautifully with the burger. Highly recommend it! Unfortunately, I forgot our server’s name, but the service was top-notch. They came to our table at just the right moments and anticipated everything we needed. Truly excellent service

I recently ordered takeout from The Capital Burger in DC and went with their Signature Burger along with a fresh salad. The burger lived up to its reputation—juicy, flavorful, and crafted with care. The salad was a perfect complement, crisp and refreshing, rounding out the meal nicely. What really stood out, though, was the service. Alex was amazing in helping me decide quickly, guiding me toward the best options without hesitation. The process was smooth, efficient, and left me feeling confident in my choices. Overall, a fantastic takeout experience—delicious food, great quality, and customer first approach!

⭐️ The Capital Burger – Washington, DC Rating: 9.5/10 I stopped by The Capital Burger and kicked things off with the warm pretzel appetizer, which came with a creamy cheese dipping sauce. The pretzel had the perfect balance of soft and chewy, and the cheese sauce was rich and flavorful. What really stood out to me was that there was plenty of sauce — enough to enjoy with every bite (a small but huge win compared to spots that skimp on dips). For my entrée, I went with their signature Capital Burger, cooked medium-rare, and added bacon and an egg for that perfect finishing touch. When the plate arrived, it looked fantastic — juicy patty, melty cheese, and the bacon and egg stacked beautifully on top. Every bite was packed with flavor. You could tell the beef was fresh and high-quality, and everything from the bun to the toppings worked together perfectly. Overall, this place lived up to the hype. Great presentation, excellent flavors, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back soon — this one’s an easy 9.5/10 for me!

Great place for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is old DC with dark wood, long wrap around bar with indoor and out door seating. They specialize in Scotch, but have a wealth of other drinks including specialty cocktails. The appetizers are generous and can easily serve as a lunch. The salads are the same. I had their Bacon Cheeseburger with the tomato jam that was really flavorful, tender and well prepared. It came with well salted fries. This is now my goto for lunches on my occasional trips to my DC office.

One word is all that is needed - WOW. I asked Reddit where was the BEST DC Burger near the White House and they were right. This place was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The service, drinks and burgers were all top shelf at fair prices. Nearly went back again during our week's stay, now I know where the best burger in DC is and will be back on future visits.

The burgers are amazing and so are the milkshakes. My favorite is the strawberry cream milkshake. My only complaint would be the amount they give you, as much as I paid for the milkshake it'll be great to have it in a full size cup or fill my Togo cup to the top. I enjoyed the pickles they give you, I was told they make them in house, daily. I ate here 2x back to back and kept talking about how good it was so much that my boyfriend told me to go back months later since I've been raving about it.

Jachnun Bar ג'חנון בר is a great place for vegetarians to enjoy delicious food in bustling Modern Jerusalem. Ahmad the owner is very hospitable, professional and friendly, making sure you have everything you need. The food is fresh and inexpensive, with plenty of choice if vegetarian or not. A great stop if you are in the area!
The owner is here during the day and he makes an UNFORGETTABLE wrap. Ask him to make it the way he likes if you’re not too picky and indulge in the best shakshuka wrap of your life!!!!! The evening staff is good as well but the owner’s personality is a really fun part of the experience!

Came with friends, and honestly expected stunt food but was pleasantly surprised. The malawach I ordered was perfectly cooked- flakey, warm and buttery. In terms of fillings, I just asked the guy to put his favourites in, which ended up being a great choice. The fillings ended up being delightful, all well seasoned and worked great together. My only gripe with the place was the ambiguous pricing, when I asked, the guy said 24nis, when I paid it was 33nis and online I’m seeing 30/34nis, so my recommendation for them is to clarify. I recommend coming here!

8.27.17 - fast and fresh. I'm not sure if this is a chain, but we ordered the memulawach and it was darn good. The bread is flaky, light, and chewy. The filling is flavorful and filling. Awesome fast food with really nice service.

I still have dreams about the shakshuka wrap. Last time I was in Israel I took a day trip from tel Aviv to Jerusalem just to go to Jahnun bar. Everything here is so good wow.

Very good bugers with lots of options! Quick efficient service ordered from a kiosk. Sweet potato fries, lots of tasty sauces, good bread options. They even have beer! I will go back to try the lamb burger. They have chicken too. Excellent location in the heart of the German Colony. When I was there they played this lovely background music, very chill and jazzy. The hummus and moussaka were delicious and they bring it to you very fast. Places stay on business for long time only if their are really good... this is been open for almost 40years. We came back for a second time and the waitress remembered our order! Super friendly ❤️

Pinati is the place to go for classic hummus in an authentic local atmosphere. This beloved hummusia has been in Jerusalem for decades. Located right in the center of town, it's easy to get to and easy to find. Snag yourself a seat and feel like a local. (The hummus with meat is my go-to).

The best hummus we had in Israel. We tried the version with meat and it was perfect. The place is very local and well known. Unfortunatelly we weren't hungry enough to try more of their dishes, but i am pretty sure that their food is generally great. A place to return to.

I just love this place, first place I run to when in Jerusalem. The food is good, the owner is friendly,.. It's just the real thing. Don't expect anything fancy, just enjoy the atmosphere of the old days.

one of the only places to remain relatively authentic, pinati still serves the same simple dishes it did 30 and 40 years ago: arguably the best hummus this side of jerusalem (with or without chickpeas, or if youre really hungry, with a heaping of minced meat), 2 types of kubbeh soup, rice and beans, moussaka...these are just some of my favorites. not for the faint of heart or delicate of palette. you may be asked to sit next to someone else in the cramp area, the waiters will definitely shout over your head, but to me this is just a part of the delicious experience

The popular Iraqi Jewish dish Aricha Sabich is available at this kosher restaurant. It consists of fried eggplant, hard-boiled eggs, salad and tahini sauce inside a pita. The restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike.
First time trying sabich and absolutely love it. It is so tasty and hearty. After ordering at the counter, the sabich is freshly made in front of you. The pita bread is soft and is stuffed with a generous amount of eggplants, soft boiled eggs, salad, herbs and delicious tahini sauce. It is so good that we went back immediately the day after. There are a few tables both inside and outside the place.
Jubee C — Google review
Located at the edge of Mahane Yehuda market, Arica Sabich offers just one thing: sabich, the combination of fried eggplant, slow-cooked egg, amba, chili sauce, tahini, hummus, and salads (cucumber, tomato, onions, pickles, herbs) in a freshly-baked pita or on a plate. The sabich here was traditional and rustically assembled. The slow-cooked egg was sliced and crushed, so it had a nice creamy consistency in the sandwich, and the highlight was the soft, chewy pita that held all the ingredients together.
David K — Google review
Omg the best! We come here twice a day because it's so fresh and only about $6. Very satisfying mix of 8 hour cooked hard boiled egg, hummus, fresh veggies, and various magical sauces combined to make an explosive taste sensation that will have you coming back as a daily pilgrimage.
Damon L — Google review
The pita is fresh from the oven, the ingredients are delicious and perfectly balanced, and the staff are courteous and lightning-fast. A note of caution: no matter how hard you try to eat neatly, you’ll still get tahini all over you… but it’s definitely worth it!

Captain Burger, located in First Station, Jerusalem, is a popular spot known for its kosher burgers. The menu includes options like the kosher cheeseburger with vegan cheese, smoky burger, and even a vegetarian burger. Customers can choose to dine inside or take their meal to one of the nearby benches.
The best kosher burger in Jerusalem. The location is excellent: you can sit inside, or take a burger and sit on one of the many benches around the place. I loved the kosher cheeseburger (with vegan cheese), and the smoky burger. There's even a vegetarian burger! The service is super fast, and the staff is helpful and welcoming (especially the owner, Hanan). I highly recommend it!

I ordered the double burger crunch with a crispy mushroom and fried onions. The vegetables and sauce were great. My issue was with the patties. They were dry and lacking flavor.
Shlomo S — Google review
Went here with family for dinner. Ordered the double hamburgers from all areas of menu. French fries and onion rings. One of the worst burgers we ever tasted. Burnt and lacking taste. No sauces in burgers even though they were supposed to in them. Bad quality of veggies. Fried portobello mushroom was greasy but good. House sauce was given after request, was good. Good fries. Great onion rings. No bathroom or sink for customers. Would not recommend or return —super kosher—

Solid when fresh. Good flavor, a bit dry, but it is a smash burger, so you're getting that crust. Captain sauce seems to be a horseradish mayo. Onion rings are indeed real, bit over crusty. Overall good experience. Quick service and good location. Pricing is mid-to-high for a burger.

We ordered the food and stood there waiting for about 30 min just for them to tell us it's on the counter for a few min. After we opened the food we realised there were no names on the boxes and that's probably because all of the orders were completely mixed up and randomised. We started to eat the randomised food which was terrible then I saw my sister laugh and spit her food at my brother (wasn't his night)to add to all of this it was freezing outside which was as cold as when my dad left me so that added trauma to the whole package overall terrible experience 👎
Avinoam R — Google review
Pretty pricy for that food. Overall nothing special, the hamburgers are OK , and not more....
Aleks D — Google review
Waited around 40 minutes for our order, ordered three burgers and they literally got every single one wrong and mixed the orders between them. I ordered a double beef burger and another order was one lamb burger , I got a double lamb burger and they got one beef burger , the toppings were wrong and so on ... While we were eating , my sister laughed and ended up spitting her food all over me so yeah , not my best outing.

The food took a ridiculous amount of time to get ready and the workers kept on going in and out of the restaurant. They messed up our order horribly! Zalman's is a satisfactory eatery to grab a quick bite. The hot dogs, whether chicken or beef, were decent without being overwhelming, but they were deemed good enough. They also come in generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied. The variety of sauces and spreads offered are included in the price and provide ample options. Prices are reasonable and there is ample outdoor seating available.
This place is amazing! Delicious food! Exceptional service! Fast and easy to order! Took minutes until we got the food! Would highly recommend.

Zalman’s is a decent place to grab a quick meal. The hot dog was descent - I got a chicken one, my friend got beef - we weren’t overwhelmed, but thought they were good enough. They’re large, too - so pretty filling, as well. There are a lot of options for sauces/spreads - and they’re included with the cost. Prices were reasonable, and there is plenty of seating outside. The staff seemed a bit tired and unmotivated, but I’ve heard that the owner, Zalman, is really friendly.

The place is OK, but not beyond that. The service is quick, you have all the sausage toppings that you would like to take, but sausage was just OK, a really average one. I want to point out that this was a chicken sausage, maybe the others with beef are better.

McDonald's is a well-established and enduring fast-food chain renowned for its assortment of burgers and fries. It serves as an ideal option when one desires a quick and uncomplicated burger. While the Entrecote burger surpasses the regular Big Mac in terms of flavor, there have been instances where it has been slightly overcooked. Comparatively speaking, McDonald's outshines other Israeli franchises due to its superior quality control and consistent offerings.
You order at an electronic kiosk in עברית, English, or Arabic. There are options to personalize the burger on the screen. You need to understand Hebrew numbers when they call your order number, but the numbers are also all up on a screen. Since I speak Hebrew, I don't know if they will change to English when needed. The food is less greasy than American McDonalds, which changes the taste some but is healthier.

They could so easily got a 5. I ordered the shawarma platter with some extra falafels. The meat had clearly been sitting on the grill for a while. People after me were lucky and got fresh cuts. The salad was good mostly just too much of it, as a platter I expect the meat and chips to be the highlight. The chips I think must have been fried hours ago, dried up and cold. Almost glad he only gave me a handful. Perhaps it was late and the day and the staff were just coasting. Plenty of other people there too, a few people ordered takeout after me.

I have eaten at quite a few Shawarma places around Jerusalem and I’m always looking for the most delicious. I read the reviews for this and most of them were really good so I tried it out and I was very pleased. It was a bit pricey but I’m not sure that it’s much more than any other place. The food was very good and the service was just fine. I would venture to say that it’s the best one around. If someone knows I’m better I’d like to check it out.

Sandwich shop
Fast food restaurant
Nestled on Shamai Street in the vibrant Downtown Triangle of Jerusalem, Hasabichiya is a charming little sandwich shop that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This unassuming eatery specializes in sabich, a beloved Middle Eastern street food that features layers of crispy fried eggplant, hard-boiled eggs, and fresh greens all wrapped up in fluffy pita or laffa bread.
Delicious dish, all ingredients are distributed equally across the pita pocket, so that each bite becomes perfection. ADD MORE AUBERGINES!!! No soap to wash your hands. Recommended!
Meni S — Google review
Wow wow wow. Beyond delicious. So fun watching the sandwich be made one perfect spoonful at a time. Every bite delicious
Tov C — Google review
I never had this amazing culinary experience! The taste of pita was very good and the vegetable ingredients that the owner used for fulfilling the pita was extremely generous and tasty. I strongly recommend.
Eva D — Google review
Fresh and flavorful Sabich -- one of the best I've tried. Loaded with lots of vegetables and sauces. The man who prepared it looked like an expert. Very fast and precise. Good service, too!
Jeno K — Google review
Looking for a tasty Sabich in Jerusalem? THIS is the place. Incredibly tasty for a good price (27 NIS June 2023) and the owner is sweet man that always has a smile for you. There are some seats right around the stall
Steven — Google review
For the street food, it's a well known little place that is loved by locals and those who stumble into it following the little line of hungry regulars. There is basically one item on the menu: pita bread stuffed with fried eggplant, hard boiled egg, fresh vegetables and Hummus (cheakpeas paste) go for it!
Nettadi A — Google review
Home made pita bread, delicious and clean. On lunch time very busy. (It's just one kind of course (if you don't know what sabich is...) but one of the best in israel

Segev Hamburger - Mahane Yehuda is an excellent choice for burger lovers. Their medium burgers, like the Spoiled Segev and Smoked Segev, are delicious. The prices are fair and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Even in a big group, you won't have to wait long for tastefully cooked burgers. The atmosphere is lively and you can choose to order at the counter or through a digital screen.
The Spoiled Segev is particularly very good at medium. The Smoked Segev was also very tasty. The prices are reasonable and staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were a big group, however, we didn't wait long to have our burgers tastefully cooked for us. Lively atmosphere. You have the option to order at the counter or via the digital screen. The stamp on the bun is cool.

They have a wagyu burger on the menu so we just had to try it! The burger was good but I honestly can’t tell the difference between a wagyu burger and a regular one,🤷🏻‍♀️ whoops.
Kosher W — Google review
Terribly dirty place there were still vegetables on the chair (even after a worker cleaned it). The burger arrived without cheese (I ordered a (vegan cheese) burger), and there were no fries either. I had to go back to the branch and ask for both, and they acted like they were doing me a favor by giving them to me. Horrible place – I’m never eating there again.
KilMo — Google review
Fantastic burgers to be had here and a great atmosphere just off the main market in Jerusalem. The burger was perfect done and came with a great combo of regular and sweet potato chips.
Jonathan S — Google review
Great food. Service is terrible. I ordered online, and still waited half an hour for a burger. While I was there the staff wore gloves, but were coughing directly on them, and didn't switch once. Decided to toss the food this time. Won't go back.
Noam Z — Google review
I would say solid, but unspectacular. There's a lot of hype surrounding this place and it's in the upper echelon of Jerusalem burgers, but I wouldn't say it's the best burger you can find in Jerusalem. However, good value for the price.
Calev A — Google review
Fantastic service. They were out of my favorite...Filet Mignon and I wasn't feeling the entrecôte (ribeye). So onto the burgers it was. Originally planned on 100g of Filet and share half a burg with my buddy. Now I had to choose two burgers. One for me and one to share. I settled on rhe Cheesy one with "Bacon". Gotta say it looked a bit better in the picture. I think the bacon was goose breast, but I could be wrong. The (vegan) cheese was not too prevalent and think it was more of a sauce the a slice melted onto the burg. Then again I didn't see the making, so I cant be 💯. I asked for M, think it could have gone a bit longer to MW. Chips were nice, crispy on the outside, noce and fluffy on the inside. All in all I great experience, mainly due to rhe wonderful and helpful staff as always. Just can't wait to get my norm 🥩 (filet mignon)

After eating kosher food for 10 days, this was a nice treat. The guys working here were very friendly, funny, and made us feel very welcome.
Jonathan M — Google review
We came across this place on a hot Saturday on our way back from the dead sea. The Google reviews were promising and I expected to find one of the new boutique chef burger-joints that have been popping up all over. My first suspicion was when we got there at 1pm and the place was empty. The owner promised us a delicious burger, so we stayed (also, there is nothing else for miles around). We ordered (reasonable prices) and waited. And waited. And waited. 30 minutes later, our order was ready. Second disturbing sign - they got our (very simple) orders all confused. To the burger itself - a dry husk of meat that tastes like a kebab. The bun was okay, but the rest was a big let down. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could, but feel like I should help lower the overall score to help others know what to expect. As for the high review score - probably friends and family of the owner.

Shevach Falafel and Pizza is a renowned restaurant in Jerusalem that offers an exceptional falafel experience. With a wide variety of options to choose from, it stands out as one of the finest falafel spots in the city. The place strikes a perfect balance between flavors and textures, making it a must-visit for authentic Israeli food. In addition to their delicious falafel, they also serve excellent pizza.
everything is great in this place, the falafel, the pizza and the service. IMO the best falafel in Jerusalem
Shlomi U — Google review
Our journey to find the perfect falafel in Jerusalem led us to this remarkable restaurant, and we were not disappointed. With a multitude of options to choose from, we can confidently say that this place offers the finest falafel experience in the city. The rave reviews we had read beforehand turned out to be completely accurate, as the falafel here truly lives up to its reputation. One of the standout qualities of this falafel is its ability to strike the perfect balance between flavors and textures. Each bite delivers a symphony of tastes that blend harmoniously together. The savory nature of the falafel balls is enhanced by the expert seasoning, making it a delight for the taste buds. The exterior boasts a delightful crunch, while the interior remains incredibly tender and moist. But the falafel alone is not the only star of the show. The bread that accompanies it deserves special mention. The softness of the pita bread complements the falafel perfectly, creating a match made in culinary heaven. It acts as the ideal vessel, allowing you to savor each component of the falafel experience in one satisfying bite. The attention to detail and dedication to quality at this falafel restaurant are evident in every aspect of their offering. From the freshness of the ingredients to the precise execution of their recipes, it is clear that they take pride in their craft. The result is a falafel experience that exceeds expectations and leaves a lasting impression. The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal. With its inviting and warm atmosphere, it creates a welcoming space for diners to relax and savor their food. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and eager to share their knowledge and recommendations, further enhancing the dining experience. Whether you are a falafel enthusiast or a curious food lover, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Prepare to be amazed by the impeccable balance of flavors, the satisfying crunch, and the tender goodness of their falafel. It is an experience that showcases the best of Jerusalem's culinary scene and leaves you craving for more.

Good falafel and salads, but not the top one. Decent portions. You have 5-6 tables to sit there. Quick and friendly service. Portion of falafel in pita is 19 nis, and that's not cheap. Local residents like this pace, so it can be crowded and it can take some time for making an order(depends on hours).
איגור ש — Google review
First place to eat authentic Israeli food when I arrived off the plane! Highly recommend. Food was fresh and people were great as well. Shevach will definitely be one of my new places to go in town.
Ashleigh F — Google review
The place is really convenient, if you are coming with a lot of kids, and you need them to have a spacy place to safely play, while you look at them, even if you sit inside. The food is made relatively fast and it's tasty. It's kosher.
Gergana D — Google review
This place was fine. It has a nice outdoor patio. It is convenient to other useful places (laundry, ice cream, groceries and a nice produce store across the street). It might have good pizza, I don't know. The Falafel was only OK. I don't regret eating it, but there was no feeling of "This is great Falafel". More like "These teenagers were kind of taught how to make Falafel." No real complaint. Just not that special Great Falafel feeling. WHERE'S THE GREAT FALAFEL? Down the street, that's 400m SW on Herzl, on the right side, just two doors to the left of Domino's Pizza (which is on Google maps), is a Falafel place (that is not on Google maps). That place is REALLY GOOD. The Falafel has zing. Freshly fried balls, fresh tart salads, good hot sauces, hummus and tahina, really friendly fast professional service. There are some outdoor tables with roof overhead. There, one gets that "This is great Falafel" taste.
Andy R — Google review
Great falafel, freshly cut salad, eggplant not too oily, clean and kind service. Good spacious space, kid friendly. Has a nice kiddy play area, indoor and outdoor seating. Notice that it can get busy and loud in the afternoon when young School kids lunch together. Kosher , sales various dishes, soups, pizza, ice cream and there are also candy machines..
Estie S — Google review
The chain of Shevach Falafel, with this branch being located right by the light train station of Denia Square, has been oparating for at least 15 years that I have been eating there, and throughout the years the price has barely gone up, yet the original recipe is still being used and the result is a seriously fast, and most importantly delicious falafel place. The falafel balls, the hummus and tahini are all on point not being over fried or too dry, they are perfectly mixed and spiced, added to a big option of fresh fillings makes up a meal to satisfy any hunger of the day, for any age range, and even vegan, as it is all made from natural products. In addition, they also serve pizzas and salads. Even though the Israeli mentality is to eat food on the go, the place does offer several places to sit down, including a big outside terrace with a small playground for children. All in all, I recommend this place for any occasion you might have when your slightly hungry.

A decent enough burger at an ok price (56 nis for a 400g burger with fries and drink) but the best thing about this place is its off center location, which means if you’re in the neighborhood and hungry you won’t have to wait in line to sink your teeth into one of these babies. A new place. The burgers are good and the toppings are fresh, interesting, and of good quality. The Sloppy Joe was dry and disappointing, but the French Fries and the Sweet Potato fries were done to perfection. A little too expensive for fast food.

On a cold Saturday eveing, I ordered a double cheeseburger and destroyed it in 10 bites while shivering outside in the cold. I was pleasantly surprised by the burger, but the seating situation has room for improvement, hence 4/5 stars. The burger is topped with the basics (LTOP), and the patties tasted like beef, not like a seasoned meatball. The cheese brought it all together to provide the creamy richness in every bite. I'll be back.
