The 30 best bars and drinks in Qawra

It’s fine. Not bad, not brilliant — just fine. The building looks impressive from the outside, like it might contain a small whale or at least a dramatic reenactment of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Inside, however, it’s more of a friendly afternoon stroll past a few tanks that could comfortably fit into the lobby of a mid-sized hotel. The fish are lovely, the staff are friendly, and the kids seem to adore it — which is probably because it’s really designed for them. Adults will enjoy it too… for about 35 minutes, after which you’ve seen everything twice and are wondering if it’s too early for lunch. It’s not bad, it’s not overpriced, and it’s a pleasant way to dodge the sun for an hour. Just don’t expect your socks to be knocked off — you’ll leave with them firmly in place, slightly warmer from the Maltese heat.

It was really nice experience. The building is beautiful from outside, they have great number of different species of sea animals. The offer inside is really interesting, because they have diving simulator, nice shop but also exhibition of Mediterran antiques. The whole complex is not so big but you will spend quality hour and a half to enjoy in everything.

Really informative and well presented; lots to see with an emphasis on conservation. Interactive displays let you click through to get detailed information on each fish. The simulated Submarine dive is a bonus! The restaurant is amazing and open for dinner, staying open after the aquarium closes. The structure is magnificently designed and occupies a prominent place on St Paul's Bay promenade.

Enjoyed the visit, some lovely fish, loved the little jelly fish tanks, and the dive into the deep was a funny little extra. The walk through tunnel is a nice feature too. There is a small exhibition upstairs too of artifacts from shipwrecks. Cafe and gift shop on sight too.

A good place to visit if a little pricey, but I suppose fish are expensive to look after. The displays were very good and informative and there were some reptiles too. It took about 90 minutes to get around, it would be a great place to take the kids. Very weird submersible experience not for the faint hearted. I probably wouldn't go back as I've seen it now but worth going once.

The hop on hop off bus made the aquarium very easy to find, as we were taken right to the door. The aquarium is well designed, child friendly, and exhibits are labelled well. There are plenty of local and exotic fish on display. Staff are friendly and helpful. We went on the 'voyage to the bottom of the sea' ride (can't remember what it's really called, but it mimics an undersea explorer's journey), and it wasn't for the faint-hearted! Overall, a great experience.

A smedium sized aquarium that is beautifully laid out, with amazing, passionate staff! Very well suited for a stop by while in the area. The exhibits are very well-made and presented, with detailed information consoles on all the fish and creatures. I also appreciated that I was learning a lot about the local aquatic life and initiatives, with the choices in curation. The walk-through had lots of unique features like glass tunnels, shows, and a tower of terror-esque 20,000 leagues under the sea ride. Great fun for fish buffs, casual sightseers, and kids alike. Outside, it’s located on a stretch with a stunning view of the coast, connecting to the boardwalk. Also, a particular shout out to the staff, who were so passionate and friendly! I had an amazing time discussing marine-adjacent topics with Andrea and Rosie. Their enthusiasm for the work and field is clear, and they are great science communicators!

Best bar in the area with music, cocktails and a good food selection. Unfortunately, couldn't rate higher for a few things. They had a good selection of food. The burgers looked incredible. However, all three of the burgers we ordered were over-cooked (not burnt, just dry) which was disappointing because they looked so good. The novelty swings, excellent happy hour with good selection of cocktails and good music all provided a good atmosphere. However, at 8pm, they turned the volume of the music up so loud that you could no longer talk while we were still eating. The staff were friendly and relatively quick at creating the cocktails as when everyone is drinking cocktails that can often impact service times. Service just dropped a little when eating and it got busy. Overall thought, was a great bar and definitely the best bar we went to during our holiday.

We had a great experience at Cheeky Monkey in Qawra! The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. The views from the terrace are stunning, especially in the evening. The service is also amazing. Our server, Sabita, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was so friendly, attentive, and professional—genuinely one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Big thank you to her! Highly recommend!

This was out 2nd visit this week. We came earlier in the week as our first venture out after a bout of food poisoning from earlier in our trip. We went bland as possible gnocchi and risotto the food was superb and the portions really generous but we could not do it justice. We hoped that as I was my birthday 2 days latter we might try it again. We were not disappointed. Suman was an exceptional host!!! The food was delicious, the service is excellent and the views are to match. Highly recommended!

The rooftop bar is cool with a relaxed atmosphere. Samuel the bar tender made us feel very welcome and brought a fun energy to our night. We loved the cocktails and would recommend this bar to anyone staying near St Paul’s Bay!

The must go place when in Qawra. Super delicious food. Friendly staff, great music and quite cheap. 2 cocktails, pint of lager, 2 tequilas and sharing plate full of meat 54euro!!! Very good. Couldn't finish. But will be back when Im hungry

What a amazing spot. If you want good drink in Qawra you must go there! When you go to the rooftop area Samuel and Omar will create a friendly atmosphere, if you want to have a drink in this atmosphere definitely you should go to rooftop section and meet this guy's.

Nice and clean with friendly and efficient staff. Was informed of the catch of the day and specials without requesting, as we were seated. Music slightly too loud (personal preference maybe), but the food was fresh. The Linguine was absolutely packed with all kinds of seafood (worth the €), and the pizza was delicious.Have a small kids menu. Nice choice of wine and other drinks, with a large seating area inside and out. Very well staffed and not over attentive.

We came here for breakfast, ordered a Berry dream cocktail, which is sugary for me personally, and they gave me half-rotten strawberries as a decoration. Pancakes with chocolate and banana are delicious and satisfying. The view from the terrace to the construction site well, there's nothing to do about it, in general it's not bad, but in the bill the waitress indicated an Americano, which we didn't order, I told this to another waiter, who gave one euro in apology, I don't know how much the Americano itself costs, like 2.40, well, let them be tipped.

A wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by whilst having your meal/drinks. Alex, is the main person to welcome you, he is very friendly and always has time to have a chat. He speaks several languages and greeted you in your own language Situated right on the promenade, this is a must visit place of you enjoy watching the boats and ships go by.

The best lasagna I ever ate in my whole life. This restaurant deserves a michellin star. Oh ma gawd. Just imagine. Ordering a lasagna and expecting melted cheese on top. The cheese on this lasagna was not melted. How revolutionary is this?! (See the picture) Also, the ice tea peach I ordered was the best ever. How could a ice tea peach not taste like ice tea peach. And being a iced tea; you have to be cold, and not warm. I was busy cutting my lasagna in pieces and believe me or not, I was like 30 seconds busy with cutting and I did not come through. I think I ate some porselain of the plate the lasagna was served on. And that tasted better than the lasagna. The girl that was singing was the highlight of the restaurant. Overall: I advise you to NOT eat at this place. The portions are small and it tastes like nothing.

Amazing customer service 👏 we have we have had a amazing meal family of 5 fresh sea bass delivered this morning, Nena has been a amazing host absolutely loved every moment, happy hour from 3pm till 8pm live jazz music absolutely amazing 👏. We have been 5 or 6 times recently and im only just putting a review 100% recommend. As you can see we can we have had a few drinks not including the empties 😀 genuinely one of the best pizza I have ever tried 😋

I had a great experience at Victoria Gastro Pub during my visit to Malta! I ordered the fish and chips, which were perfectly crispy and delicious – definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. To go with it, I had a Long Island Iced Tea that was mixed just right – strong, refreshing, and full of flavor. What really made the evening special was the amazing service. I was served by NENA, who was absolutely wonderful – friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. Her positive energy really stood out and added to the great atmosphere of the place. Highly recommended if you’re in Malta and looking for good food, great drinks, and outstanding service!

After and interesting Car museum that is near by we got a recommendation from them to try food in Woodhut. Since i love to try traditional food, i had a go with their STUFFAT TAL-BRAĞJOLI (BEEF OLIVES STEW) And boy did it hit the spot! You can feel the tradition, the spices, all local and fresh on our plates. Little one dove in on their hamburger, a clasic but tasty, wife tried chicken salad and had a mouthful - onions, tomato... Everything top notch. The waiter/owner had time to talk about the food, local tradition and gave a nice advice on what so see next during our visit here on Malta. Thank you we felt "at home" the whole time.

Woodhut Pub & Diner offers a selection of tasty food and beer. It was busy when we had dinner there on 25.10.2024. We had to wait a bit, but it was only one waitress working. She was great. I noticed how hard she was working. She was doing everything, and the place was full. The atmosphere was very homelike. There was a cat 🐈 lying on the doorstep. I can recommend this place.

Stumbled across this diamond of a place, may not look the most appealing from outside, but my god inside wow 😯 The food was sublime. Had homemade curry for mains, was so So nice. Service was first class. Only cost €36 for two of us. The only downside it was our final meal in Malta. Highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10 💪👏👏

We are here for our first and last meal in Malta, and we are so glad we did! The rabbit stew was good, and a must try as the national dish. We also had the chicken curry and the spaghetti bolognese. All dishes were very good. The highlight was Ray, the owner, coming to give us travel tips. We made it to all his recommendations and are so grateful for a friendly experience on day 1. Must stop and meet Ray for yourself!

Oct 2024 It is great place to eat and drink. The food is amazing. We had the Maltese seafood platter which was out of this world. We will be going back again to try the Maltese rabbit stew. The staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was good. Well recommend the food and prices are really reasonable. Went back 3 days later had the rabbit stew and king prawn & crabmeat ravioli both were truly wonderful meals. Highly recommend trying here if in the st Paul's area of Malta during your holidays.

Lovely little place family run such a shame about the food … I had the spicy pizza which appeared to have curry powder on it ! which isn’t advertised and frankly it was awful … the pepperoni was salami what little there was … all in all a bad experience which let down the lovely girl who was serving … you’d think I’d have learned my lesson from a few months ago when I had a mixed grill which was equally poor the only accurate bit was it was mixed as the rest was grilled to death and tough as old boots … my advice is give it a miss … you have been warned !

This tower is still intact and stands in a restaurant/pool in Qawra. This is a small family friendly lido, quieter than its neighbour and is good value for money. Drinks and snacks are reasonably priced. There are two pools. One is deep for swimming, the other suitable for children and non swimmers. There are showers available to wash off the salt water from the pools. Great view of the sea and surrounding rocky beaches. It’s also a good place to watch the sunset.

Spectacular views especially during sunrise and sunset. Sea almost always clean and crystal clear and inner bay is most often protected from rough seas so more likely to have calm and safe water for swimming and snorkelling :)

Very small tower, surrounded by fence. Due to the fence only upper part is visible but not as whole building.

The Cafe food and service was very poor. Safe entry to the sea is limited footwear must be worn.

A great bar with all the drinks you could ever want. Great music, they will play anything the customer wants. Staff were friendly. Lovely atmosphere with a nice outdoor space. Brilliant nights craic.

The bar staff are great and friendly! Lovely place, very modern and super clean. The prices are unbeatable and they have two pool tables (which are in great condition). Music is playing, they have live music at time and a really nice atmosphere, a must-go place, guaranteed a nice experience regardless of time when you visit! Highly recommended

The place is just awful. Rude and dishonest staff, broken toilet, no prices for ice cream. My family and I went into the cafe, took 4 ice creams (there was no price list, no staff to ask the prices either) in the end we paid 16+ euros for 4 ice creams. After asking how that was possible, she said that there was no price tag and you have to ask, the receipt had completely different prices for the same ice creams. The place is awful, the food is awful, I do not recommend it.

Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get that far! Looked promising because of the buildings architecture. However the staff were so rude and unwelcoming. Sat down about 5 minutes later we left after we felt it wasn’t worth the prices on the menu. After reading the other reviews I’m glad we gave this one a miss.

Food was quite good, especially for the low price. Both the fish and the chips were tasty. However, the buffalo burger was a bit dry. The outside view is beautiful. Some waitresses were really nice, while some others could show a little bit more care.

The place looked promising at first-affordable price for what it promised. It was almost empty during lunchtime which should've been a clue.. The menu that was displayed in front had cheaper prices than the one that was given in the restaurant. With almost empty place, we waited for almost 50 minutes for our food. The burger had no dressing, no sauce-it was dry with one slice of tomato and four leaves of salad. Really sad and small. The swordfish had so little meat that it was laughable at this point. In the end, we got a receipt that had only stated prices, not meals as well. I don't know if it's normal for Malta but it sure as hell isn't in mainland Europe. The only good thing was the size and price for a soft drink.

Service was friendly but food was not worth it. Kids burger is just a patty and bun, fries were fried in old fat and not crispy at all. Other burgers are also dry. Pizza was Ok for the price.

I've only used the pool and had a few drinks so I can't rate the food. Very good prices for the umbrella and sunbeds. Water in the pool was salty.

When I arrived, the state of the building put me and a few friends off immediately. As we began to leave, we were accosted by (i assume) the owner, who promptly told us to ‘go back to your own country’. Would not recommend for young people.

Great meal and right by our hotel. Owner takes pride in his restaurant and the quality of the food. Included garlic bread and profiteroles are delicious. I had the rabbit which was very good and my wife had the steak which was wonderful. Definitely an authentic and pleasant meal.

I realise some people may feel this little place has a bad rep, but frankly what a lovely atmosphere. The karaoke is great fun and so inclusive , had an absolute ball into the wee hours. I think the bar owner is Jason and he's a total superstar. It feels like you've been invited to someone's place for an impromptu party. Little snacks handed out when your drinking. Great night honestly!!!!!! Oh and the locals who frequent are super lovely and friendly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for food is because I didn't have a meal but the snacks were awesome

100% loved this place. The view, scenery and vibe at this pool club is fantastic. The music is neither too loud or too crazy setting a really good scene for a poolside chat or nap. I only had the bar snacks which were ok. The drinks aren’t crazy overpriced thankfully which allowed me to keep ordering for all 7 hours I was here, which I loved. They have a great feature with a button at every umbrella which allows you to call over the server which is so nice since you don’t have to wave them down from across the pool. We had 2 wonderful girls helping us out, Lorena and Gala and they provided outstanding service the entire day. And my tab was exactly what it should be, which was a relief after that many drinks and me being with 8 other friends. This place is amazing, I highly recommend visiting for a pool day you won’t forget.

This beach club is immaculate!! The view of the sunset is jaw dropping. The infinity pool just melts away into the sunset backdrop. Cotton candy skies with the sun setting. Then comes the sushi boat. Who knew sushi at a beach club could be this good? I think about this once a day… would come back in a heartbeat

We visited the place both in the morning and in the evening for a pool party, and we were very impressed — the venue is beautifully designed around a stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea. There’s also a restaurant on-site, and the two dishes we ordered (a burger and pork belly) were good, with the standout being the French fries, which were excellent. Perfect for a relaxing and indulgent morning or afternoon!

It’s have a beautiful sea view with two pools. Absolutely chill location in summer. Less options for vegetarians or vegans to eat here. Limited drinks and beers. Very friendly staff and service and you can just walk a sea side from here. It’s quite beautiful to watch the sunset.

What a way to spend the day. Staff were fab, sushi was amazing, wine was the perfect temperature and the cocktails were delicious. Will be back. One thing to note, it was hard to find beds in the sun, even when the sun shades were down, but I guess we were late in the season.

The place is absolutely stunning. Gorgeous sea views, a well-designed atmosphere, and good music make it a special venue to enjoy a sunset or a live event. We arrived early, which made a big difference — hardly any queue at the VIP entrance, and the staff were very friendly and professional. That said, there are a few important points to consider: 🔸 The official capacity is 4,000 people, which is a big number — and it definitely feels like it. While the VIP area is comfortable and well-managed, the general admission area gives the impression of being extremely packed. Of course, we can’t confirm whether the legal limit was exceeded, but the crowd density at times made it feel overwhelming and even uncomfortable. 🔸 The stage layout is not ideal for the VIP section. Ironically, despite paying more, there are many blind spots from which it’s very difficult to see the stage. (See attached image for reference.) For a premium area, the visibility should be much better. 🔸 A minor but odd detail: we tried to order food from the VIP zone, but were told to go to the restaurant. This felt a bit off, especially considering the price and the expectation of a more seamless VIP experience. In summary, it’s a beautiful and unique venue, but some aspects of the layout and crowd management could be improved. I’d return, but I’d choose my spot more carefully and come early again.

Beautiful ambiance and decor with chill music. We went twice during our stay near St. Paul’s. They serve marinated salmon and tuna tacos - it is the most delicious item on their menu. We also had their tuna tartar - it lacked flavour, but it was okay. We also ordered their salmon ceviche, to our dismay it was wasn’t a ceviche, it was a salmon carpaccio. The servers were all very friendly. However, these strange girls dressed like tennis players with sweaters wrapped around their necks are the ones who give you the bill - they don’t smile, nor make eye contact. They should just get the servers to present the bill, guests would be more inclined to tip the people who serve them vs some random girl at the very end.

I was actually delighted by the overdone decor of this British pub and really content with a shepherd's pie and Guinness stew. Meals came after about 20min in large portions, pipping hot and were tasty. Service was very friendly. Excellent value for the price. Edit : on our next visit we had fish & chips, tempura prawns and a Harry's burger. Again, large portions and tasty.

The worst food I’ve ever received. The service was terrible and very slow. Staff are uninterested and stand off ish. The food was 100% a microwave meal, ate about two bites and couldn’t stomach any more. Spent 30 minutes waiting on a bottle of water to come to the table. Trust me and do not spend a penny here as you will be disappointed.

Went for lunch and was served quickly. Had the mussels and a pizza, both of which were delicious. Nice chilled atmosphere and quirky decor. Reasonably priced and happy hour in the evenings.

We loved the authentic Irish vibe in this pub. Food was good but have in mind that Maltese rabbit is a delicious dish but have lots of tiny bones, so eating it could be quite a challenge. Their band made quite a lot of people to stand up and dance, so thumbs up for it as well.

An above average offering at this place let down by a poor side dish … I had spaghetti bolognaise along with cheese garlic bread the cheese was barely melted on the bread perhaps explaining why it came to the table just tepid … the bolognaise was excellent the soffritto base having clearly a light caramelisation and this ranks as one of the top two I’ve had on the island … the Coke Zero was fairly flat and barely chilled served with no ice … the server was just about civil but clearly struggling to remain so and the atmosphere was dead with conflicting sports channels on the tv’s … give it ago !

Nice place to nearby bus station. Huge collection of football scarves mainly English clubs. Delicious food, cold beer....

We have visited here a few times now. The owners are really friendly and the food really nice. Our daughter loves this place and their mocktails. This really says something as she's very hard to please. If passing by, even calling in for a drink would be worth it.

Quiet chill atmosphere. Came here to try traditional Maltese food and they did not disappoint (at least for a couple of foreigners). Food was delicious, portions were big and I really enjoyed eating. My partner had the linguini with prawns and calamari and she was absolutely delighted by the taste. Overall it was one of the nicest experiences we had.

First off, the breakfast I had was incredibly luscious and delicious. The only bad food I had was the garlic bread. It has a horrible aftertaste! Everything else was standard. Drinks were good too. Secondly, the bar/restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. Thirdly, the wait time was so long. To be fair, it was packed and it was a public holiday in the morning. No surprises. To be honest, the food made it worth the 30 minute wait. Lastly, the accommodation and prices were alright. Free wifi, kind waitress and the prices are on par with the food quality. Overall, this is a place to get a fulfilling breakfast and also a nice place to relax.

Service is very attentive, had pork chops on the first visit, they were gorgeous, the second visit lamb chops I asked for them to be Well done! 3 out of 4 were, the waiter was apologetic and asked if I wanted some more but I declined. Friendly atmosphere.

Discovered this restaurant in a quiet street not far from our accomodation. I had the rabbit which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pesto pasta with dried tomato. Divine and highly recommend.

Service was warm and welcoming. There is an outdoor and indoor dining area. There is a large selection of food. We ordered the squid pasta and rabbit tagliatelle. We also ordered the special tomato with tuna. There is unfortunately no draught beer. The restaurant is intimate and had a homely vibe.

The food was delicious. Best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. But we waited a long time just to order our drinks. My partner said that he smelled some weird smell, like old dirty cloths or something (we don't know if it was the curtains or tablecloth).

Definitely the best italian food we have ever tried. The tiramisu was divine, self-made pesto is so worth it, had the chance to try it on complimentary focaccia before the meal. The service is great, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. The meat in the sauce (ravioli) tasted great, all in all amazing experience, highly recommend!

Very friendly staff and amazing food- we had octopus, complimentary bread and Maltese board as well as the rabbit and seafood linguine. All the meats were beautifully cooked and had an excellent flavour. Thank you!

We went there with a group of friends and had jumbo cocktails and pizza. The cocktails were great value – €16 for a big 5-shot mix – and definitely worth it. The pizza, however, was quite disappointing; it honestly tasted like a frozen store-bought one. It’s fine if you’re really hungry, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering pizza here. That said, the atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly, which made the overall experience enjoyable.

The starter was nice surprise because that was for free but main dish sound promising but I was not satisfied, the souce did not match with whole dish. Service was very nice.

Very pleasant surprise! We came in for cocktails, which were lovely, but when seen the menu they also had several gluten free options. After talking to the owner was happy to try the calamari which was truly amazing 🤩

Atmosphere and service like always perfect. Unfortunately chicken wings spicy without sweet chili sauce and it doesn't say that in the menu. Octopus didn't had any hint of garlic. Biggest surprise was olives with octopus, it was very bad smell and taste, like dead fish. Sweet potato fries great 😃

Cute little beach - it’s possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas for 15€ / day 9a-5p). Would definitely recommend to do that since there is barely any shade. Water was pretty clean and clear until 3pm - then it got a bit dirty

What a shame. Could be lovely but no care is taken to keep it clean. The sea is filthy and the beach it’s littered with fag ends and other unpleasantries. When you’ve got the blue flag Qawra Point Beach 13min walk down the road I don’t know why anyone would choose here. Very overcrowded too, especially on weekends.

Nice for snorkeling, a lot of fish. The water is kinda clean too. But if you want a real beach experience it’s not the best.

Great beach! Something for everyone. Small rock shore so if you like sun-baking, coral reef for those who enjoy a snorkel. Cold pristine water in shades of cerulean blue. Note: not a lot of shade so remember to slip, slop, slap to protect yourself against those mean UV rays! Another thing, and guys I HATE to sound like a broken record, but what’s with the rubbish? Please pick up after yourself OR even better don’t bring it in the first place! What ever happened to natures snacks… yeah i’m talking stone fruit, citrus, banana. Get rid of the plastic and replace it with fantastic!

Bugibba Perched Beach is really good but should be avoided when waves are present as the access to the sea is limited. There are a lot of sharp and slippery rocks, but one small area of the beach is sandy and the water can be entered there more easily. Lifeguards are present and there's even a small clinic in their tower.

Bugibba Perched Beach is another beach replenished with artificial sand. It lies along the promenade, in the midst of tourist accommodations. Before the intervention, the beach was a linear rocky shore with a sharp rock surface. When sand was being considered, the beach was planned to be totally reversible and should the need arise, the rocky coastal stretch will return to its original geological form. 2000 square metres of the rocky coast were transformed into a sandy beach, perched above the sea level. Bridges and ladders were introduced to facilitate access in and out of the water. Full beach management takes place on Bugibba Perched Beach from the 15th of June to the 15th of September. In 2011 the Beach was awarded a Blue Flag while in 2012 it is again being awarded the Blue Flag

The goods are amazing, but the girl who I was served by today (11.09 at 8:20 am), wearing the grey t-shirt, with double bun on the top of her head was super rude. I asked really nicely for an espresso and for a pisstachio croissant. I also asked for some lactose free milk on the side, and she told me that they only have oat and skinny milk. I replied, ‘then I would go for the regular please’. She gave me the coffee and continued to serve the next customer. The whole time she was giving me side eyes. She had an attitude for sure. I asked - can I get the milk please? She said: You wanted the regular. Me: Yes, the regular milk. She: I have to charge you for that. Me: For a spoon of milk? Okay, leave that. She: Then ask for a macchiato. Me: I asked for a spill of cold milk, not foamed milk. She: then describe it more next time. Me: Hey, I am the customer, if you dont understand, ask me. Then of course she refused to tell me her name, and shouted at me to go out in front of other customers. For this behaviour, I would be 100% fired in my country. Unacceptable.

Donut Factory offers a delightful experience and diverse range of freshly donuts. Their coffee complements the treats perfectly. The cozy ambiance enhances the overall charm. With excellent service from a guy who work there his name is Dime. A must-visit for coffee and donut lovers alike.

Great stop for your morning coffe and ofcourse for all of us who have sweettooth. Vaste sepection of donuts which i had to test (almost all), they are tasty as heaven. Absolutily you have to stop by when hpu are in bugibba !

Beautifully cooked, not too much cheese and the right amount of oil glazed over. However, the reason for the 3star is due to my partners Pie she had ordered (as seen in the image). She got half way through the pie and found a hair (also seen in image). Unfortunately, due to us being too polite we didn’t mention anything. The pie was left as is and didn’t eat any more. Service: The service could have been better. We were greeted at the door with someone who I don’t think understood that much English (which obviously can’t be held against him). He mentioned you have to reserve a table if you want to sit in the front where every single waiter seems to linger. He took us to the table inside & had to wait roughly 8minutes before getting a menu. He then came with the menu, 5mins later took our order. My order was simple, however, when my partner asked for strongbow which was on the menu, he said they didn’t have any. Atmosphere: Now the atmosphere is really based on preference. The music was very loud and couldn’t hear a single thing. That was on the inside of the restaurant, unsure of what it was like out front. Overall the experience wasn’t the best. Although the pizza I had was cooked to perfection, I would advise the kitchen staff to wear proper hygienic gear that is required for a kitchen serving food to the public. If you do go, do try out their 4cheese pizza, it’s to die for.

The staff, or rather the waiter, didn’t deserve even one star — but zero. My husband and I came for lunch with our two young children (aged 2 and 5) while it was pouring rain outside. As we entered, the waiter asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and he just shrugged and told us we had to sit outside — even though the restaurant was visibly empty. We sat outside under the awning, but the tables are right on the edge of the covered area, so our legs were getting wet from the rain. When I went to the restroom after about half an hour, the restaurant was still completely empty. If the place had been busy, I would have understood, but leaving a family with small children outside in the rain while the inside is empty makes no sense at all. Another waiter who served us later was very kind and polite, and the food was good — but such treatment of guests can’t be excused by good food. If it hadn’t been raining, we wouldn’t have stayed even a minute.

Restaurant is modern, very well decorated, big and with a great atmosphere. Food is absolutely delicious. The service is very slow.

Gourmet Bar & Grill is located in St. Pauls Bay. It offers traditional Macedonian food at reasonable prices. The decoration and furniture are much better than what you can find in the area. Also the attention from the team, from the first moment, the waiters were very attentive and friendly. It was the first time we tried Macedonian food and we really liked it. The combination of customer service, quality, quantity and price is almost unbeatable. We will surely return.

It is a more high-class restaurant with high prices after the renovation, but the staff doesn’t match this level due to the low quality of service they provide.The staff seems inexperienced and there is definitely a lot of potential for development. For example: Ask your guests if they would like anything else and if everything tastes good. Greet and say goodbye to them more attentively and gratefully.

A wonderful place with wonderful people. i spent only three Days in malta with my friends and both nights went there. Just unforgettable, thanks to all the employees and the owner for treating us like their family ❤️.

Went three times during our two week stay. Come Saturday ( our last night) it’s party night she said. Turned up Saturday night , I went to the bar my partner went to sit down. You can’t sit there it’s reserved she was shouted at. Three moves later when we were getting a bit annoyed she told us we could sit in the back part of the pub. Apparently all the best seats are reserved for locals. The place was empty. No luv I’ll just sit in another pub. Oh and you were still empty an hour later as I passed but I had a great time at the velvet lounge.

Clearly the only people welcome are the regulars in here! If your a geriatric stuck in the 1940s then this is right up your street! The DJ was really rude. My boyfriend got up to sing a queen song to try and liven the place up and he was rudely interrupted just as he had started by the DJ who said he was too loud. It was ok however for another local guy to get up and sing his song loudly and not be shot down! From our experience karaoke nights are supposed to be about having fun and having a laugh and not being judged by your voice! It’s not a talent contest! Safe to say that we won’t be returning! Steer clear! 👎 👎

Spent 2 weeks in Malta and found the grapevine the most welcoming and friendly pub. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

Traditional English style pub on the edge of the action area of bugibba. It is probably a 5min walk from the square. Reasonable prices and karoke on some nights. Good draft selection also available. Pool table here also, which can be busy at times.

Very nice place with very good music, shisha, good prices friendly waiters, definitely a good place for enjoyment and relaxing. I recommend Grapevine bar to everyone. Wish nice day to everyone.

large portions for a really good price … i had a veal ribeye was cooked to perfection… excellent service!!… This has to be one of the best meals we have ever had… excellent food!… Best food we had in Malta… Highly recommend this restaurant in fact just finished yet another lovely dinner…

Nice pub. Good food and friendly attentive service. We ate vegetable dumplings, butternut chicken and tofu with vegetables in a still sizzling pan.

It looks from the outside like nothing special, just like another small pub to get a drink. But you should NOT miss out on this one. The food in this place is amazing!!! In our 2 weeks stay in Malta NY so far the best food. The curry and sizzling plate both amazing. The woman running the place is also very nice. The curry comes from mild to very spicy depending on what you like. We like to eat very spicy and it was actually a very nice spicy flavor. And all of this to a very cheap prize. Yes, the place has no AC, but it has a rustic charm to it. Definitely drop by if you like good (Asian) food! A must visit!

What an awesome place to sit and relax. If you are looking for good food with home cooked recipes, this is the place to go. This place might not have the beach front scenes but the food is worth it. The butter chicken is not Indian butter chicken but Nepalese butter chicken. My whole family said it was the best. The Momo was delish, and the curry. What a fun, relaxing way to enjoy a late lunch! Enjoy fellow foodies.

This is definitely one of our favourite places on Malta. The waitress was so friendly, the food was amazing (asian platter), and we enjoyed the happy hour with great prices on drinks. We will be coming back & thank you!!:)

Mum and I have just eaten here this evening. I had the prawn curry with rice, Mum enjoying her first chicken noodle dish (yes, really, and she's 87!!). The staff were very attentive, the atmosphere relaxed with an added bonus of an amber ale on draught! An excellent meal 😋

This place is amazing. I'm so glad I stumbled across this on my first day. The beef sizzler is my favourite dish of my entire week so far, lovely friendly service, CISK on draft, which is a Maltease larger (really nice), opted for the chicken Tikka Masala with flat bread (madrass hot) and chips. Served with another few pints of CISK whilst watching the Newcastle on decent quality TVs and confy seating. Bill came to €25 which was a bargain.

Good prices and tasty food. With combo burger abd frys are great. Burger beef is very good but there are no dressing, so its kinda dry but overall place and food is 5+.

Over priced !!! I ordered images big grill to take away and mean wrote beef steak , pork chop , sausage ,chips ,mashroom ,eggs ... When I got home , disappointed, it was not even a steak , it was just a piece of beef and pork . Not cheap , was €13 , looks like breakfast , Too expensive , and tasteless !!!

I would not recommend. I asked if they had a veg english breakfast they said no so i ordered a cheese and egg burger they did not state this had meat and i had to pay for a meal i did not even touch….highly disappointing.

Had a decent fry here and the wife had a toasty. The milk was off in the coffee but was changed no problem😎. Very reasonable price too and friendly staff.

Busy and bustling this Saturday night in mid July. Lots of shops and restaurants open late, lots of people milling around. A generally very pleasant atmosphere. The square leads off to a few interesting and busy streets.

Buġibba Square is a fantastic place to relax, dine, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Malta’s northern coast. Even while undergoing renovations, you can feel the energy of the area. There’s a real charm in the mix of local life and tourist buzz, especially with the beautiful sea just a short walk away. The square is surrounded by some excellent restaurants and cafés, offering everything from traditional Maltese dishes to international cuisines like Indian and Italian. Whether you're in the mood for a casual bite or a sit-down dinner, you’ll find something satisfying. The nearby promenade is perfect for an evening stroll, with gorgeous sunset views over St. Paul’s Bay.

Unfortunately when we went in August the square was under going a huge refit and there were diggers and lorries everywhere. The bars around the square were really suffering and it wasn't pleasant to sit there. We also visited in May and the work didn't seem to have changed much in those months. Bugibba relys heavily on tourists and to have their main square going through so much construction over the peak tourist times was badly planned and managed. I hope it is finished quickly before next year's tourist as I can see a lot of people not returning.

Great place to spend the evening. Happy hour on cocktails until 8pm, watch the sunset, lots of places to eat. If you live to people watch then this is your place.

We spent some time here until sunset walking around the area. In the winter without the crowds, you can enjoy the quiet streets or walk along the water. A good place to look for dinner - a must-have rabbit (if you can)

Pleasant little modern square just across the road from the promenade. A good place to sit and soak up the sun, meet friends or have a drink or meal. A limited number of establishments though, and some of those are the big chains found all over the world.

A brilliant little bar with big personality! The Elvis tribute nights (Mondays & Fridays) by Redent Falzon are seriously impressive - he’s got the moves, the voice, and the charm. They even hand out free snacks (yes, free chips, spring rolls, and pizza bites) while you enjoy a pint of Guinness - which makes a nice change from yet another Cisk. Great vibes, great music, great night out! 🎤🍻

Great place with a lovely feel. Not a big place but a lovely atmosphere. Decorated with a huge range of Elvis memorabilia. Other live acts include country music with Marlene who had a lovely voice. Sounds from the 50s to 90s and of course Elvis. If you're going to see Elvis you need to book in advance due to the size of the place and his popularity.

Awful service, the manager came over to our table and accused us of ordering extra drinks when we did not. She then spoke to us and her colleague (on his first night) with an awful attitude whilst shouting. The food wasn't great either and this was a shame as Elvis singer was good with a good atmosphere.

Thursday and Sunday are karaoke nights here. And what can I say—if you’re into the mic and love singing your heart out, this is the place to be. Everyone’s welcome, and the vibe is absolutely awesome.

Came for Elvis on monday and had a very good night. Came back wednesday for 70s/80s night, even better. Only here a week but best live music(real singer not just dj music)we found, highly recommend.

Never been to a pub and felt so unwelcome. Absolute miserable looking couple and the landlord walks around like he's looking for a fight! Also they will gladly sit around staring into space but under no circumstance will they come and take your order or bring you a menu. Instead you have to walk to the bar and wait around 5mins till one of them finally decide to come and take your order. A big no from me to this place!

Went for an english breakfast around a month ago and found what looked like a cockroach leg stuck to my egg!! 😧 I tried to tell a staff member but they refused to acknowledge what i was trying to tell them. I heard a female staff member ask whats wrong and he said ‘ oh nothing just troublemakers’. I was absolutely stunned and speechless.

Had the pleasure of visiting Malta to attend a wedding, but you know me I had to use my downtime to sample a few watering holes. After building up a thirst while having a trek around St Paul’s Bay, I dived into Alex’s Bar to quench that thirst. If you like cheap pints (€3 Cisk) and football scarves you can go wrong here!

There is a good selection of alcoholic drinks to choose from, and soft drinks, shows sport , staff are helpful and friendly as are the customers, clean even the terrace outside, I spent around 20 euro as I had a double jack and coke , then I had 3 pints of Stella on draft , and I bought for my friend, cisk on draft , we stayed for around 8 hours , lovely relaxing time 😊

Alex Bar is my local, even though I live closer to many other bars. It's a friendly, quiet place with a great choice of drinks. Their 6-pint cooled dispenser is good value for money as you only pay for 5 pints. Perfect for sharing. Or not!!! Warm inside, lots of seating outside - cosy and pleasant. Would highly recommend as a great little bar. It's nice to go somewhere and be greeted with a smile and get acknowledged with your name. Fantastic!

We had an amazing experience at Medusa Bar in Malta! We asked the bartender if he could make us a special drink we had seen on their Instagram—even though it wasn’t on the menu—and he kindly made it for us. It had a smoky bubble on top and tasted absolutely delicious! The presentation was just as impressive as the flavor. All the other cocktails we tried were also top-notch. Highly recommend this place for creative drinks and great service!

Amazing place with an amazing view BUT!!!! Awful service. And for awful I mean Awful.. super sorry to say this but is not worth it to have such a big potential and let the staff to ruin everything. Entered with my GF at 23:30 of 14 august still quiet, keep saying hello to the staff but no answer,no eye contact no nothing, after "stopping" the lady waiter she in a very bad way let us seat, coming to take order from the back not even watching us wirh very arrogant tone and body language, she bring the drinks throwing them on the table with not even saying "Enjoy or Nothing" me and my GF shocked. She tried her drink only tasting unfortunally only lemon.. going to ask politely to taste it to the barthender and I have to hear "if you want more alchool I'll charge you for another shot." But the drink was just Unbalanced. After a while He made another one proper way. Mean time watching the situation the lady literally Flirting with 2 guests forgetting about the rest of the tables and about that she was working.. I'm super sorry to write this cause As a member of a 5 star hotel I was feeling ashamed of the situation. Left amazed for the amazing place and view but disgusted from such a Awful service and Personality of the staff Specially the Lady. Take action cause Is a shame..

Rooftop bar with chilled music and comfy seating. Great views from the rooftop terrace. Service is non existent. I chilled on their sofas for half an hour and then left and went somewhere I could actually get a drink.

We had a great time at the medusa bar today. We had a lovely cocktail workshop hosted by the managers. They taught us everything we needed to know to make out own. I had a lovely time and would definitely recommend.

The cocktails are expertly crafted, and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend trying their signature cocktail—it was a standout! The staff provides attentive service (Latuk was very nice to us), and the outdoor seating is ideal for enjoying the warm Maltese evenings.

On site place looks exclusive and elegant however in reality it’s like an 80s nightclub (not in a good way) with un matching decor, way too much flashing colourful lights. Staff not engaging and make various mistakes. No Manager or supervisor on site. Food - just eat elsewhere - cutlery and plates came 5 minutes after food. No explanation of what it what (various dips) View from terrace is its saving grace

These guys mean it when they say British food. They, unlike 10's of other restaurants, get it correct. Also try the craft beer, the mosaic was delicious

Well we arrived. All happy about the possibility of.multiple different craft beers but from about 12 taps.only 4 were available and those were the least interesting ones for us.

Lovely place for for beer options on draught and watching football. The owner is very sound and will put any football on a screen for you.

Nice and also special place in St. Pawl near the coast. I went there because older reviews said that they have vegan options. Besides from the vegan Burger on the menu they offered me a vegan ragout with different vegetables and some kind of bolognese. It was very tasty and just what I needed for lunch. Further they also offer plant milk for their cappuccino and vegan breakfast. The staff was incredibly caring and accommodating.

What a wonderful place to eat something or drink coffee! I'm Italian and I really appreciated the tasty food and the authentic espresso. The staff is very friendly and I would like to mention in particular Monica (Spanish manager) and the Irish girl (sorry I don't remember her name) for their kindness. I will miss the coffee break here!

Very pleasant visit - was with a fussy group, the staff didn't mind and were super welcoming. Coffee was on point, the lattes come with the espressos on the side so you can pour it into your cup yourself, it's a nice touch, and makes it clear the shots are fresh and proper. Cakes were simple, and perfect. Outdoor and indoor seating, clean feel, carefree vibe. Someone mentioned the bathrooms were great, so that's always nice. Left very happy <3
