The 30 best bars and drinks in Taormina

Please do not come to this place. I came around 8-9pm and was told it was full and come back around 11:30pm - 12:00am so we did around 12 and the hostess didn’t even look at us to talk to us. She told the bouncer not to let us in at all. And the bouncer was very rude, didnt have the littlest bit of respect. No eye contact, no hello, no nothing. Out of 106 countries i’ve been to this is the spot that I felt the most disrespected. A little sorry its full tonight would do or a little hey there is a big minimum spend or something. Cause there was clearly still available opening on the website with a minimum spend. As simple as telling us that with a bit respect would be nice. So please don’t come here.

This bar is absolutely beautiful and perfect for any evening out in such an amazing location. The staff are very kind and welcoming, and the chic, stylish interior adds to the charm. The atmosphere is truly unique and relaxed, with music that isn’t too loud or overwhelming. Not many places can match this style. It’s ideal not only for a romantic night out over drinks, but also for a variety of celebrations, from birthdays to bachelorette parties. Reservations are recommended; however, even during high season we were able to book a table for the next day and there were still seats available.

A place with scent of challenge for folks that oppose minimum spend policies and seek for quick cheap thrills. Very quircky, with differetiated decour; cocktails are nice, stylish and smooth; music for sophisticated ears. Worth visiting.

From start to finish it was nothing but a disappointment. It cost 50€ each for my friend and I to enter which included one small very average drink. The interiors were nice however all seating areas were cordoned off, stood over by security guards and “reserved” despite most being completely empty. There were 2-3 seats outside of these areas and nothing else so we were left standing despite paying such a ridiculous price for entry. The music was bland, the crowd was older and the atmosphere was dull at best - so if you are are visiting Taormina and looking for even an ounce of fun this certainly wouldn’t be the place to go, in fact I’d do your best to avoid it entirely.

This place is a literal dream. There is a minimum spend of 30 euros per person, but it was absolutely worth it to us. The ambience and interior is simply stunning. The drinks were unbelievably good, the service was amazing and you receive the nicest snack food with your drinks. Such a fun vibe all around! Highly recommend.

Very nice bar, you can go to the bar without reservation, but if you want to stay at the party later (after 22:00h) the reservation is a must. We liked the cocktails and the aperitivo very much.

This bar is the ultimate experience for Taormina and Sicily in general. I feel like you can’t visit this city and not go there. The granites are so delicious, the fruits they make them with are super fresh and we also saw the delivery happen! You do have to wait in line but since the serving is mainly the granite no one sits for more than 20-30 minutes so you will be sat in 15 minutes. I went in the busiest time of August and we expected to wait much longer than that. The service is nothing more that what you need, they show you your table and come after a minute so you can order and nothing more than that. You just get your granites and then pay. The best part is th decoration, it is so pretty inside and outside, full of lemons giving you the full Italian vibe you want for the summer. I 100% recommend!!!!

Came here in the early afternoon time and there was a line already but no worries as we got past the line after about a 30 min wait. I had the coffee granita with a very soft and good tasting brioche bun and my wife had the chocolate granita also with a brioche bun. If you happen to close by, I say give this a try 👍🏽

The best granite in Sicily! The brioche was so delicious, the granites were so many - you have a big choice and they were very fresh with true fruit in it! The espresso was perfect too. The prices are very affordable - granite with brioche is around 6 euro. The biscuits with chocolate was good too. We came at Wednesday at 16:00 there was a queue but we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes. The atmosphere is very authentic. The service was very good too.

We had to Q here but only approx. 10 mins. We were given the option of sitting inside or outside. It had been raining but outside is covered so we headed there. We ordered the famous Granita with brioche. Strawberry & cream and Almond & coffee. The brioche buns were huge. All was delish 😋 Reasonable cost also, service was smiley and fast and atmosphere was lively.

Outdoor seating…. Great granite and brioche …. Lovely place to have a snack ….this is the place to go for your granites. There was a little queue .. but we didn’t wait too long.

There’s a reason for the line. Hands down the freshest most delicious granite in all of Sicily, friendly service. Warm brioche. Highly recommend the almond it is king. Best breakfast on planet earth. Go early or late to avoid crowds but don’t be afraid to wait it’s well worth it. Love.

Totally worth the hype - if you come here and don’t try the granita you’ve made a big mistake. We tried the persimmon one and the coffee one too. SO delicious - as is the brioche (also a MUST) to have alongside you granita. You will likely have to wait for a table but it’s in a nice spot in the town so it’s not a bad place to stand around waiting… we came in October and only waited 5 mins

Cute spot for cocktails with outdoor seating. They were very generous serving small snacks / tapas on the house with the drinks - such a nice touch! Extensive drink menu to choose from - there’s something for everyone! Highly recommend stopping in before or after dinner!

A very nice, stylish, and cozy place with music and delicious cocktails! I tried one of the most delicious strawberry margaritas here. The prices are reasonable. It's one of my favorite places in Taormina! It's a very romantic place! Especially the areas under the trees with flowers.

The location is reaally cute. We drank daiquiri’s and they were great. We tried bruschetta with lemon flavoured ricotta and shrimps (or something like that) - wouldn’t recommened. Too pricey and all you could’ve tasted was intense lemone. Not practical as finger food.

Nice bar in a great location. The drinks were fine and reasonably priced, especially for Taormina. I liked their clever system for handling the queue. They asked for our phone number at the entrance and called us when a table was free, which worked perfectly. We understood that they had a long waiting list and wanted to serve as many people as possible, but the way they went around checking tables to see if guests had stopped drinking, asking whether they wanted another drink or the bill, felt a bit awkward. I’ve never seen that before.

A really good atmosphere and the drinks were fantastic. The Bahia was really good and mai tai's even better! The only disappointment was where the sat us was very rarely visited by the staff so ordering was difficult. (They sat us near the toilets, which was fine, just would have been good to check in a bit more often)

Gorgeous atmosphere with great cocktails. Its a must try if you’re in Taormina and you want to have some cocktails after dinner.

Went on the recommendation of some other travels we met along the way and they were right. A great vibey spot for a drink. I think they have some small plates but not a full on restaurant. However, in true Italian style, our drinks came w a lovely plate of snacks. As it got later, this place really filled up and had great energy. Cocktails were a bit pricier but you are paying for the experience and they were quite tasty!

We had bruschetta and a toastie - basic food but the views, location, service and the fun of the items inside more than make up for the food. Definitely a good photo stop. Very reasonably priced for both food and drink. There’s a few floors to this place so obviously the further up you go the better the views and generally quieter the tables

We were sitting in a bar one afternoon in September. The impressions are great: great music and service. I dropped my wallet somewhere in the square and I realized it 3 hours later. I called them from Taormina. They searched the square, found the wallet and returned it to me. Thanks again!

Very cool and unique place! It's really very quirky - there's lots of phallic sculptures in here, apparently to represent fertility. It is quite amusing though. We had a drink here and they brought over some complimentary snacks, which was a nice touch. I only marked it down one star for service as although it was good and he was friendly, we only got over the one drink.

My tour guide brought us to this cute little bar full of pen****. Def a place to remember. There were pen**** everywhere! My fav was the faucet in the bathrooms. 😂 Also, the almond wine was delizioso! 😋 I had to buy two to take home as gifts. They also make fresh cannolo’s. Def worth trying! Grazie mille!

Our B&B host sent us here to try the almond wine, asking that we not spoil it. It was a fascinating surprise, considering the furniture, decorations, bathroom walls, door handles... The wine was good and at the end we ordered something in the same style of the place (photo) and we were happy; they gave us the glasses in the pictures after paying (no reasons for a boring order like in a usual pub 😁).

Funny lively spot, very known for its depictions, statues and artifacts featuring the phallic symbol everywhere.. tourist attraction in Castelmola. Food was good! Had mixed grill, caprese, great drinks. A good time in a great location. Great service!

A hidden gems with 4 floors, 3 balconies with view of the sea and courtyard seating. Quirky inoffensive phallic decor serving local wines and home made cannot.

We stumbled across Q bar in search of a drink and a snack. We were warmly welcomed and given a table on the terrace. A couple of refreshing Limoncello spritz followed with soft drinks for the kids. We then tucked into a delicious bruschetta selection, a fabulous pizza, tuna sandwich and more bruschetta (this time the traditional kind!) It was all super tasty and just what we needed and in a delightful atmosphere just off the hectic Main Street. Service was excellent and we would definitely return.

We stopped for a light lunch and a cocktail and had a lovely experience. Margaret and Solmaz were our wait staff and they were both absolute perfection! They were polite, attentive and anticipated our needs at every turn. I would return, again, without hesitation! 😃

Excellent service and friendly welcome. We came here for lunch. We only wanted a salad and we were very happy with how fresh everything was. There isn't a view of the sea but the atmosphere here is very restful away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping streets nearby. Edit! We returned here a couple of days later at lunchtime for drinks only. There are many many places to eat in Taormina but not so many for just a drink. Peaceful and quiet but a minute away from the main shopping street. Bliss!

Visited Q Lounge on Sunday, 14 September between 18:00–19:00 and had a great experience. The service was excellent, prices were fair for Taormina, and the atmosphere was relaxed but still had a nice vibe. There was plenty of outdoor seating without feeling crowded, and the music added to the ambience without being overwhelming. The highlight was the large snack platter that came free with our drinks order – such a generous touch! Highly recommend this cocktail bar for anyone visiting Taormina.

Visited almost every day of our trip (only because it was closed Monday) Enjoyed working our way through the excellent beer selection, the staff were friendly and it was fairly priced for the location.

The place itself has a lot of character and the seating area opens up to a busy but charming street. We just stepped in to grab an appetizer, but would definitely stay for more.

Very dissatisfied with the service. We waited over half an hour for a simple sandwich. It wasn’t even particularly busy. The person at the bar argued with me, saying there was only one person in the kitchen. That’s not my fault—there’s a whole terrace and only one cook? When I told him to stop arguing, he did. But then he purposely brought the sandwich himself, just to prove his point. People like that have no business working with customers. It’s a shame that such individuals are employed in tourism. And the waitress could try smiling once in a while—a smile costs nothing. 🤗 (I'm adding this part after the owner responded. I don’t understand how it can take 35 minutes (based on exactly how long I waited for a single sandwich) to prepare one. I don’t think the problem is with me as a tourist, but rather with you being too stingy to hire more staff, which prevents this pub from living up to the standards worthy of such a beautiful city. Clearly, you know nothing about tourism and hospitality.)

Sicilian craft beers, great wine selection, jazz and boss vibes. Love it here. At least 15 local beers available, maybe more.

The saddest aperitivo ever, only some chips served with it. If you pay by card they make you pay 1 euro more (which is illegal). The only nice thing is the atmosphere. Edit: the owner replied by saying it was a joke, however it is not true as I have the receipt and I know the prices of what I ordered, and I definitely paid one euro more. It wasn't a joke, they just try to force you to pay by cash (I wonder why 🤔).

A hidden little place up the hill in Taormina. Fancy place with an amazing view, great food and service. Can attest to the quality being fair for the price. In particular, the Polpo scottato con soia e caramello salato su crema di patate, Crespolina ripiena di crema di melanzane su fonduta di piacentinu ennese, and Trancio di tonno alla griglia con olio e limone. Semifreddo rocher with almond is a nice dolce. Of the cocktails we tried Continental Margerita, White Lotus, Good View and all were very well mixed plus they had a good alcohol to drink ratio if you're not trying to get too buzzed.

A hidden gem! Spectacular views (Mount Etna and the Bay of Naxos)! Service provided by a great team. Good snack foods. Wife had the chicken salad to go with her white wine and I had the fried eggplant with negroni. Definitely recommend Sky Rooftop Bar for drinks & snacks to take in the breathtaking views!

I liked a lot a view to Etna, the sea, and the mountains. Personnel was very friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed a sample of risotto as a starter, a compliment from the chef. All food was made from local ingredients and included authentic Sicilian dishes like caponata, spaghetti alle vongole, and sword fish rolls. From the wine list Sicilian rosato frizzante was a very good choice. We also liked very much traditional almond cookies and biscotti as a compliment. The music was from 70s, 80s, 90s to target the audience. And I would say that for 5 people, for full dinner, with wine and dessert, the total price was not too high, considering the quality of food and the environment. Highly recommended.

I can't think of a better place to have a great meal. I love the food, service and the views. Truly Loved the gentle music playing in the background while you are enjoying the views and the wine.

21 years ago we sat on the same terrace of this brilliant restaurant. Fortunately my memories haven't been ruined by this visit. Great food and drink in a spectacular location. What isn't to like.

Perfect stop for a latte, drink, and some amazing views!! This historic and iconic bar and café known for its stunning views and long-standing association with prominent figures like Greta Garbo, Oscar Wilde, and Elizabeth Taylor. History: Founded in 1870 as an inn, it has evolved into a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

Arguably the best view in Taormina, Cafe Wunderbar doesn’t waste the experience for a moment. With lovely shade and full sun areas, the prices reflect the tourist audience they serve and the billion dollar view. Where you will pay $10 euro for spaghetti bolognese in town, you are going to spend $26 at Cafe Wunderbar. The large toast was one of the best paninis I have ever experienced and, at $15, I didn’t even begrudge them the tourist premium. Delivered with formal, yet warm Sicilian customer service, Wunderbar was a worthwhile splurge along our Taormina adventure.

After having a lovely first evening & spending over €100 at wunderbar,I was planning to spend most of my evenings here. We decided to return next day however when I approached a member of staff regarding a table I was bluntly told no. Despite there being no queue & it wasn’t very busy they didn’t seem eager to seat us. I then overheard another member of staff comment I had no respect (Bald guy, Tall) Which was pretty obvious and diminishing. I didn’t know being a customer asking for a table was considered disrespectful.. This led me to explore how much more variety of local experiences you can find just around the corner and be lost yet home. Don’t recommend this place!

It was a weird experience! They forced us to have the lights on the table even that it was annoying for our eyes! They also forced us to move one of the chairs because they wanted in a specific and very strict order! Supper rude service! I am amazed by such a service in such place! They also had live music, it was loud and it ruined the atmosphere

5 stars for the view and location — we were lucky to get a table with the sea view and it was stunning! As for the food and drinks, honestly, it’s a 3 — it could definitely be better.

The strong suit of this restaurant is the location and views. For dinner you'll get to see the beautiful waters of the bay, with warm ocean gusts helping to keep you from dying from sweat. The one thing that I'm sure would bother most people but which we actually loved was the commuter and freight trains screening through every 20 minutes. It was such a jarring difference to the atmosphere we honestly thought it was awesome. We saw it as efficient transportation for coastal sicily and wondered how beautiful the views from the passenger trains must be. I think for a Michelin restaurant, the dishes were fine. None of them were real stand outs. The presentation felt a bit gimmicky and generic. Ie, we are a Michelin restaurant, therefore we must serve things in strange containers. Vs , we have unique ideas and we need unique ceramics to showcase them. The biggest offender was probably the coral "tuille" or whatever it was supposed to be. It had absolutely no flavor. You could taste the raw flour with barely any other seasoning. There was supposed to be saffron but it was imperceptible. I know how a mediocre tuille is made. I've botched a few as a hobbyist. Nothing tasted bad. But nothing made us go wow either, except for the views.

Our first impression of the restaurant was already spoiled, as it is located next to a busy southern road with constant traffic noise. Unfortunately, there are only two tables inside with a sea view; all the rest overlook neighboring houses. In the evening, trains passed right next to the restaurant, and there was loud music either from a nearby villa or from the beach. All of this is completely unworthy of a restaurant of this kind. The staff is excellent, and the dishes look appealing, but we found no new or exciting flavors. We left feeling disappointed and still hungry. After this restaurant, we went to another one.

I had high expectations for La Capinera in Taormina, given its Michelin star rating, but unfortunately the overall experience was a little disappointing. Dishes lacked the creativity and finesse one would expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. Wine pairing was not to my liking. Service was also underwhelming, aside from Cherbern who was great, with very quick service between courses and lacked the timing for the wine pairing. I hope they can improve to meet the standards that come with such accolades. PS you've set your Google maps page to being a hotel not a restaurant. Update - Pietro, would be happy to set up a zoom video call to discuss further upon my return. It isn't the customer's priority to bother the chef on the evening, it is incumbent on the chef to visit their customers on the floor to see how they're enjoying or not.

A really enjoyable meal in Taormina. Service was impeccable, all needs were addressed. We attended dinner with a 2 month old baby and the staff were fantastic. The food was delicious, really great flavours in the fire and earth tasting menu. We also went for the 5 accompanying wines and the wines from Sicily we tried were sublime. Really great pacing too on the meal. Definitely recommend and would go back again to try the other dishes.

This Michelin restaurant in Taormina did not disappoint. They amazed and delighted us at every course of the tasting menu. A very memorable experience.

The meal and service here was of a 1-star quality. We went with the fish tasting menu and a wine paring for an early seating in the evening. Overall the food was lovely along with an appropriate paired wine service.

Romanesque The Cathedral of Taormina (Duomo di Taormina), located at the heart of Piazza Duomo, is a striking blend of medieval austerity and Sicilian charm. Built in the 13th century and later modified, its fortress-like exterior contrasts beautifully with the elegance of its interior. The rose window and baroque elements add a unique touch to the otherwise Romanesque structure.

This medieval cathedral is very nice and beautiful. It has a handsome rose window. There is some renaissance artwork around. The exterior looks like a stronghold. It was/is known as the fortress cathedral. There is a Baroque fountain opposite in the piazza. You can see Mount Etna from outside the church. The Duomo di Taormina is very beautiful and not nearly as crowded as other tourist spots. There are a couple of nice restaurants around it, making it a pleasant place to visit. Highly recommended for a peaceful and enjoyable experience!

Duomo @Taormina is great but the foreign exchange store next to it was a robbery. 10 euros fee plus 20% commissions on top of 1.21 exchange rate (usd to euro public rate is 1.13 today)!!! Don’t go no matter what

Burgers were AMAZING. Lovely garden with a sports TV and great tunes always on. Would recommend for an easy going drink or meal. Very well priced too. We love this place.

Time Out is awesome! They accommodated for our large wedding party for two nights in a row. Tony and his staff are so welcoming and friendly. Burgers are amazing and drinks the most reasonable in Taormina. Highly recommend to anybody visiting Taormina! Thank you Tony, Isabella and team!

Absolutely loved this pub in Taormina! It has such a chilled and welcoming atmosphere — the perfect place to relax. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Their Aperol Spritz was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the food was delicious too — full of flavor and beautifully prepared. A great spot to unwind, enjoy great drinks, tasty food, and amazing service. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Taormina!

The worst bar in Taormina, I advise against visiting. The bar owner is rude and violent. He almost made me cry and gave me an anxiety attack. I really thought he was going to hit me just because I didn't like a drink, and I kindly explained that it tasted strange. A feeling of fear even came from the employees. This establishment should be reported.

This fine establishment is a guilty pleasure no matter who you are, or how much or not so much dosh you have. Centrally located just in front of Porta Messina gate, you will not be disappointed with the freshly prepared food or drinks on offer. The hamburgers and other menu items are to die for especially if you need a break from all the fine Sicilian fare. Tony the proprietor joined my wife and I for a few lovely and homely pints of Guinness and conversed with us as if we had known each other for years. Highly recommend the ‘Time Out Pub,’ for a unique change from all the other Taormina offerings.

Four of us went in to watch the football and sat at a table we could find and it just happened to be 2 tables joined togehter. Waitress came over and 2 of us ordered drinks as 2 of us just wanted to wait abit as we had just had an ice cream. Then the owner comes over in a very rude way asking why we only ordered 2 drinks and that he needed to separate the table. We were totally fine with him separating the table but it was his whole approach. I've never known such rudeness from a publican. When I said we will be ordering more drinks, he said 'when? 10 minutes?' There are ways to get your point across in a polite manner. We were polite to you. We ordered 7 drinks in total. Would never enter this pub again.

Food poisoning from crispy chicken wraps. My husband and I each ordered a crispy chicken wrap for dinner on a Tuesday and unfortunately the next morning woke up with nausea, vomiting, and intense stomach cramps. We were a party of four and the other guests ordered different things. We were the only ones affected and had not eaten anything else after. Back terrace was covered in bugs ants everywhere.

This place is an absolute gem! It has a fantastic selection of wines, including a great variety of natural wines. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, happy to recommend and share insights about each bottle, which really adds to the experience. The atmosphere is laid-back and intimate—a secluded, chilled-out spot with great music that makes you want to stay for hours. They also offer a lovely little selection of bruschettas, olives, and other small bites that pair perfectly with the wine. It quickly became one of our favourite places in Taormina. A must-visit for any wine lover looking for something relaxed and authentic

Nice place for vino naturale like Aldo Viola and other Sicilian natural wines. Tasty Prosecco and cool vibe. The place is open till late night ( last guest), staff is amazing, friendly and recommended different local places. It’s very quiet to seat there even if it’s right in the center, not crowded. highly recommend

Very cool place. Stands out in Taormina. Great wine selection. Food looked good but we didn't try it. However be mindful of the waiter (the owner?) -- we found him passionate, but also drunk & pretentious.

Excellent wine bar in a lovely alley in Taormina - close to everything but away from the crowds and chaos. The selection of wines were excellent and the guidance/recommendations from the manager were spot on. You can tell he loves his job as we watched sit down with several patrons to walk them through their selections. He shared the origins and details of the wine, explained all the flavors, was transparent about what was and was not worth the price. His pride in Sicily, its culture, food and wine is palpable. One of our favorite spots in the very beautiful but crowded city.

Had an amazing lunch at La Taverna dell'Etna! The tuna pasta was bursting with fresh, Sicilian flavor. The Margherita pizza was fantastic, with high-quality mozzarella and tasty tomato sauce. The salad was crisp and delicious, a perfect side. The view of Mount Etna from the terrace was absolutely stunning. Friendly staff and fair prices made it a memorable meal. Highly recommend a terrace table for the view and trying the tuna pasta or pizza!

First time in Taormina and in Sicily and wow!! The food was hands down the best I’ve had on this trip. Everything was so tasty and fresh. The vibes were super relaxed, cozy and chill — and don’t even get me started on the view… absolutely breathtaking! Can’t wait to come back!

Out of all the restaurants in Castelmola, this one is by far the best. Excellent food and service even when it's busy the staff still look after you. There is good choice and plenty of daily specials especially if you like fish. Not to expensive either. Can get very busy so would probably book so not to be disappointed. There is a view if you want it but to be fair was to busy enjoying the food and wine🤣

Wow! A must visit in Castelmola (ME). The Food here is first quality and the customer service from: Antonio, Michela and Noe was on point. The views of Mount Etna and the Coastline is breathtaking. Don't miss out.

Went their for lunch and had a great time. We sat out at the terrace basking in the sun with unobstructed views towards the iconic mount Etna. The seafood pasta with clams was delicious and well cooked. Seafood starter with raw fish was a great dish. The almond semi freddo dessert was the cherry on top of all the great food. Service was relatively quick and friendly.

The food was excellent, the view was incredible, the staff were very hospitable and caring to our every need. The main host had recommended us the fish dish and honestly it was great, the fish was very succulent and tender, and the pasta sauce was incredible.

La Taverna dell’Etna exceeded our expectations. Call ahead to reserve a table on the terrace with breathtaking views of Mt Etna. 3 pastas and 3 mains were offered as daily specials and we chose from those, after a mixed antipasti plate. All were excellent, very fresh and beautifully arranged. The ricotta in the cannolo was the best I had on our trip. Service is classic Italian but excellent. Prices were very reasonable (e.g $18 for paccheri with mussels and clams). Overall, highly recommend this beautiful, romantic dinner spot.

Very nice pizza from this restaurant. The ham of their savanna is fresh. Not too salty. Its base is crispy. The draft beer is rich in the flavour of barley. Also refreshing in a sunny summer. The attendants are friendly and diligent. A restaurant you should visit when you go to Messina.

This is a great place in the center of Taormina for a great dinner or breakfast. The atmosphere is festive and the garlic bread was excellent. Pasta cooked to perfection. We came back next day for a great breakfast.

We spent two weeks in Taormina and came back to Licchio’s almost every evening during our stay. We came for the ambience and location, we stayed for the heartwarming staff at Licchio’s and the delicious food and drinks. The ambience at Licchio’s was amazing, even when it was packed on the terrace. The local red wine was amazing and we tried a lot of different dishes from the menu. We highly recommend the Ice Coffee Bailey as a dessert. We want to thank Oliver and the rest of the amazing crew for the laughs, the drinks, the food and making our stay in Taormina worthwhile. Had a dinner on terrace seat with my family. Every staff cared us very well and cuisines and drinks were perfect. Flied squid was fresh and best combo with beer. Their original spritz, Licchio's etna spritz was nice refreshment after swimming in the sea and best recommend!

This is the only AIC (Italian Coeliac Association) approved restaurant venue in Taormina. They were very busy, but service was fine, considering every table was occupied. Asking for gluten free was no problem, and I was confident because they've been AIC approved since 2018. I was able to have authentic Sicilian cannolo, which was on my must have list!

Excellent food both times we visited, lasagne and pizza both excellent as well as the salads. Staff extremely friendly and polite, the lad who served us was very friendly and nice, great patience as well with the table of 5 next to us. An extremely arrogant bunch of Asians full of their own self entitlement.

During our time in Taormina we came here twice, the first time by chance and the second time on purpose. Food and service are outstanding. I highly recommend the filetto di manzo (very tender beef) and the very tasty Ephesto craft beer. A wide variety of wines is also available, of course.

This restaurant is located right on the main shopping street of Taormina. The front décor is beautiful, and the food is excellent — especially the seafood. Andrea and the staff at Osteria Villa Zuccaro were fantastic. Amazingly fresh pasta and seafood, beautiful basket of bread and fabulous local wine recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. A complimentary limoncello and biscotti finished off the meal perfectly.

Acro Rosso is a small cozy family bistro/wine bar. The interior decoration is tasteful and charming. We had four meals at this place during our five day stay in Taormina. That just speaks how much we love this place. The bruschetta and panini are very good. Even our fussy preschoolers ate a lot here, lol. My favourite bruschetta is the one with pistachio, it is soooo tasty and Sicilian pistachio is just beyond amazing, and the other one is called “spicy” with spicy salami. They are super generous with ingredients and the price is very reasonable in the inflated Taormina. I recommend that you take 1 piece of 3 different flavours when ordering bruschetta. The staff, I guess is son and father are a bit shy but very friendly. The first time we were there, it was just the son, the playlist was classic rock. Next day, there was only the father, the playlist was some classic Italian or Sicilian folk music. The third time, both son and father were present, so it was a mixed playlist. I think that is just so cute ☺️

Solid Bruschetta. The Arco Rosso was solid and we had the Classic. Both very good, fresh ingredients and the bread was perfectly toasted. It seemed more like a snack in my opinion, so, come here for a light meal. If you sit inside, it's hot in May. The owner was the only waiter and at lunch he is in a hurry and very busy.

Family owned and operated by 2 sisters. Lina the chef and Josephine runs the restaurant. They are always so welcoming it makes you feel good to return. We had a great meal here! We stopped by before heading down to the beach. The chicken burger was so simple yet so tasty - it definitely hit the spot for me, it was also very fresh and the bread was soft and warm which I loved. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza which was very delicious cooked to perfection. We then ordered a second burger because it tasted so good!! Beer and Aperol spritz were great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and helped provide some recommendations as well which we appreciated very much. We will definitely be back, thank you so much!

Everyone here is so friendly. We had the spicy pasta and pizza the first night. It was very good. I drank the ice latte every day. I tried cannolis, milk shake, gelato. We loved everything. Prices are fair.

Great cafe on the coast for snacks and coffee. We had an amazing omelette with lots of goodies. Fabio was our chef today and Anush was behind the counter taking care of us. The cafe was very pleasant and their company even better.

Super sophisticated and modern cocktail and bar specialising in charcuterie boards. We enjoyed the Sicilian doc salumi and cheese platter served on a double decker stand, There was a lot of cured meat, cheese, olives and condiments on this board and we struggled to finish it all. Oh, and they supplied grissini and bread too. Tried the sicilian red wine and a prickly pear cocktail and finished with some local digestivi. We particularly enjoyed that orange flavored amaro. Outstanding professional and knowledgeable service from the staff and impressed with the barman's cocktail making skills. Inviting display of cured meat and cheese at the front of the shop with tables outdoor on the terrace or inside. Next time we will try the wine tasting option. You must try this place if you are in Taormina.

Nice staff (attentive and polite), drinks come with crisps and peanuts regardless. There's a lovely balcony you can sit by inside and the whole places feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle of taormina and is spacious. They have great meat and cheese spreads which are generous. Great cocktail selection but they do add up.

I’d seen my share of dames and dives, but Chapeau! had an angle. It wasn't just a bar; it was a scene, lit by an unseen director, each glass a prop in a drama only I seemed to be watching. The man behind the stick, he moved like a phantom, quick and knowing, a silent artist mixing liquid dreams. I'd sampled a few, chasing a ghost of a feeling. But a few, they… they held up. They stuck in the craw. First, there was The We Are. A name that hung in the air like a question mark. It hit me smooth and then a sharp, unexpected kick, like a dame with a hidden stiletto. There was something about it, a bittersweet tang that spoke of promises made and broken, of chances taken in the dark. Lunch here with a sea view was beautiful, especially paired with such exquisite food. The pasta with mussels and the one with eggplant were some of the best I’ve had in Italy. Also the burrata salad as a starter is a must. Staff is super kind and attentive. One I’ll keep thinking about hoping to return!

My husband & I spent a few days in Taormina for my birthday & saved Anciovi last for lunch on our final day. It was amazing! Giacomo was so great & took the best care of us. The food was delicious! Highly recommend.

If you would like to visit the hotel that is in season 2 of white lotus then I would recommend booking a dinner at this beautiful restaurant. A booking to the restaurant gets you entry into the hotel where you can wonder around and explore this beautiful hotel which used to be a monastery before. Once you walk in you are greeted and served by the most friendly and caring staff I have ever dealt with. They truly want to make sure you are enjoying yourself and having a good time. As for the restaurant we got there for a 9:30 reservation after walking through the beautiful gardens and past the pool that stars heavily in the show. We were first seated away from the beautiful view but upon asking managed to get a table for 2 right along the glass railing overlooking the bay. We didn’t have any fish but the pasta and the Sicilian pasta were delicious. Their pizzas are also worth trying. My favorite part of the meal however was the dessert and the deconstructed mango passion fruit cheese cake that we had. I will definitely be returning again soon, hopefully as a guest of the hotel the next time.

You are definitely paying mainly for the opportunity to experience this beautiful hotel. The food was nice but not outstanding (except the bread). My main concern was that when we asked for the bill we told we hadn’t spent enough and that there was a minimum 80 Euro charge per head. While it would be easy to spend that much, given the prices, we were there for lunch with our kids & didn’t have wine as we had a trip planned later in the day. We also didn’t fancy dessert as the pizzas we had were pretty filling. They said that the minimum charge would have been shown when booking but I definitely don’t remember seeing this (I rechecked the booking page on Four Seasons and nothing is shown before you click ‘confirm reservation’ to enter your credit card details; similarly there was nothing in the confirmation email from Open Table, which does include other conditions like the cancellation policy and 50 Euro charge per head for a no show). When I raised a concern the staff did agree to waive the minimum but the whole experience left a sour taste.

The menu offers a whole palate of different tastes and every dish was absolutely delicious. Special mention to the pumpkin dish, and the beetroot dish 👌 Stunning setting - a great way to spend an evening.

We had a lot of expectations here, one michelin inside the $3,000 per night Four Seasons Resort. Overall service and food were ok. But what was unforgiven was the hair on my Wellington. The server saw it try to pull it out and without success served it to me anyway(photo attached).

We were staying at the San Dominico Palace and therefore decided to try their flagship restaurant on our final evening. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing, being to one star Michelin restaurant, we did have certain expectations . First of all, I was surprised at we had to choose exact same courses for our degustation menu (not just the number of courses) The signature etna pasta was starchy and should be replaced….. the black crumbs resembling volcano ashes and 5 kinds of tomato sauce was not very enticing…. What happened to the great seafood that you have around you? Main course… piglet, was a cube of fatty pork, probably slow cooked with soggy and sticky skin and all the fat remaining in place so the course was actually…. Not very edible. Deep fry the skin? Oven roast the pork to get the fat reduced? Cheese was great and so was the wine. Overall I expected much more being a one starred Michelin restaurant. To be honest, the weakest link of the stay to such a great hotel in Taormina….

DINNER Dinner was wonderful, a beautiful experience from beginning to end! The restaurant is lovely, the service is fantastic (Matteo is amazing, very knowledgeable and charming!), and the food is delicious! We enjoyed everything, including the wine pairings. And the view is gorgeous. BREAKFAST The PC team is excellent, the service is perfection. They do an amazing buffet (beautiful presentation) with delicious a la carte options. Denise (the best!), Elania, Alberto, Adriano, Victoria, Vera, and Dorothea are superstars!

What a lovely find in busy Taormina right by a viewpoint! We were a bit overwhelmed with the crowds trying to pick a quick lunch spot. I spotted it on Google maps and loved that we had to climb up a narrow street to get to the restaurant. By doing this, we are removed from the busy chaos below. Suddenly, you are in a zen restaurant. There were 8 of us and they accommodated us with a lovely terrace seating with a view. Service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. It was our best meal in Sicily. My friends really enjoyed their seafood steamed in a wrap. Michelin give them a star already :)

I enjoyed my morning espresso and cornetto here while visiting Taormina. Both times we visited very early in the morning and not many other places were open yet. It was a lot of fun to sit outside and see the town come alive in the morning. This really was the Sicilian cafe experience I was looking for!

We were 4 persons. One of us was italian. Me and my friend went to order a cono large. She put only 2 small scoops. My italian friend went to order the same as us and she has been given a nice large cono ice cream. What was the problem ? Is it because my friend spoke Italian and we looked like tourists ??? This is a worst tourist trap seen for years. You dont get an official receipt with items specifief. Overcharged for espresso piccolo birra and double grappa. We speak italian and made this case clear but stubborn women could not do anything else but accusing us not asking the price before ordering. Even to be the last one on earth, avoid this place.

Enjoyed our morning coffee and the best croissant ever. I appreciate that they open early, prices are not crazy and the filling in the crossaint was omg worth every penny! I would just skip the toast, it was huge but really dry.

We didn’t think in Sicily there could be such a thing as a “bad granita,” so we didn’t look for another place and chose this spot before leaving Taormina since it was close to our car. Unfortunately, what they served was not granita at all—it was more like ice cream (especially the pistachio). The coffee wasn’t very good either. When we asked the owner if this was really granita, his answer was: “I like it this way and everyone buys it.” That gave us the impression that he doesn’t care what he serves as long as it sells, assuming tourists don’t know what real granita is. Well, it’s your choice whether to try it or not, but we wouldn’t recommend it.

Down to earth good Pizza or Pasta. Not overpriced and super nice staff. Food tastes authentic. Come here to grab a bite to eat or have a drink away from the busy and overpriced places in Taormina. It’s like eating at home 👍

We stopped to get a snack after a night time walk through Taormina. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted old, perhaps even store bought. The waitress didn't check on us at all and we had to flag her down several times to get any attention. It's a great location and ambiance, but otherwise a pretty bad experience.

Tonno sandwich was really good and so were the pasta. Should make bigger quantities but for the price i think it os quitte good.

The prices are good but when you get the food you quickly found out why… the pizza isnt as bad as the pasta but still. The service was good but maybe dont eat here.

Pasta was ok, waiter forgot to put through our side dish order. But the pistachio dessert was amazing!

This bar is absolutely beautiful with the perfect scenic views looking over Taormina and the sea! Drink wore delicious, the man serving us is a true gentleman and a credit to the bar, he was so attentive and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend this roof top bar

Best place in Taormina for drinks. The old man behind the bar provided the best service and we came back the next night because he made the great cocktails and the view is just unbeatable. Good light music playing, It feels like a more private exclusive experience compared to other wine bars along the busy streets that get crowded. Would recommend.

Stunning views, lovely drinks and fab service. Couldn’t really comment on food as only had nibbles with our drinks but they were nice. A hidden gem.. 6th floor, lift on left when entering. A must 😊

Hidden gem, off the main strip and so happy I came across this place. The staff was so nice and went out of his way to make us feel welcome, we were greeted with delicious picking snacks with our drinks too. Beautiful views!

The hidden gem of Taormina! A beautiful view accompanied by fantastic cocktails and excellent service. Cannot recommend enough if you want a more peaceful drink than at street level.

Beautiful hidden gem, just enter the hotel take the elevator to the 6th floor and be amazed by their views. Don't worry about the cocktails being a little bit more pricey, because a plate of snacks is included. And you get these amazing views for free.

Very nice view, but extremely high prices for bad coffee from a pad machine, espresso not ground freshly. Good service thought. Funny is a toilet which has no door but only curtains.

Just what I needed after I climbed the stairs from Taormina.

What a wonderful place to relax and have a short rest with some cold beer (or in our case Ginger bear), served with a wide welcoming smile by the friendly hostess with whom we even shared a kiss on parting.

€12 euro for an aperol when the restaurants in the town centre were half of that and had better views

if you come here please stop by to see FINA. her and her staff are just as incredible as the view. the vibe is on 1000000. couldnt ask for a better place at the top of the madonna rocca.

The actual bar is called Chiosco della Rocca, just in front of the pizza restaurant. Straight forward bar with seating and tables overlooking the West of Taormina. Great spot and great service, nice break from the crowded streets of Taormina
