Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is a renovated barn owned by a cattle ranch and winery, offering farm-to-table New American cuisine. Situated in St. Helena at the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, this historic property has been acquired by Florence and Daniel Cathiard of Bordeaux's Smith Haut Lafitte. The estate features a winery with on-site experiences showcasing limited-production wines from Cathiard Vineyard.
I love this place. The chicken wings are the best. They are smoky and has the Alabama white sauce on them. It has a nice creamy vinegar spice flavor. I also always order their deviled eggs and the mini ham sandwiches. The roasted beet salad made me start liking beets! After lunch we like taking a little stroll through their garden.

Lovely outdoor area for lunchtime dining. Food was fantastic. Get the brick chicken! You will NOT be disappointed. It was so tender and well flavored with beautiful, fresh vegetables. My husband said his flank steak was just OK and he had major food envy of my chicken dish. Mexican street corn appetizer was a delight as well!
Michelle C — Google review
Phenomenal meal for lunch. We arrived late from a wine tasting and had a limited time before our next tasting. Bri was our server and she ensured our food came out quickly and we had plenty of time to eat. The sole dish with cardamom carrot purée was outstanding. The amount of fresh vegetables on the plate with bright, beautiful flavors throughout was incredible. My husband loved his crab roll and the Bay Area cheese plate was equally wonderful. Wish we came for dinner because I’m sure it’s excellent. But glad we made a visit. If I could give out Michelin stars, this would get mine.
Carolyn R — Google review
My husband and I are total foodies and appreciate quality, flavorful dishes and this place is an easy 10/10. We’ve now dined here twice while passing through, and this time we actually made the drive just to eat here. We’ve eaten at plenty of Michelin-star restaurants, but this spot holds its own, the quality, depth of flavor, and richness are on another level. You don’t leave disappointed, you leave full, happy, and wishing you had room for more because everything is just that finger-licking good. I think my husband said, “This is so good,” at least ten times! We will definitely be regulars. We live in Sacramento but heard we need to go for tacos and fried chicken during the weekday! See you soon. Brittney and Z Jordan Steichen

Sometimes I want to pinch myself with all the wonderful food experiences we have and this one did not disappoint! My partner seems to find the BEST places! The ambiance is casual and fun, with flowers and vining decor. We shared the deviled eggs, beet salad, meatballs, macaroni and cheese and chicken dinner amongst four of us, with plenty left over. The service was top notch making the over all experience great!
Kelly W — Google review
Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch was honestly the best food we’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh, full of flavor, and totally unique. You can really taste the quality and farm-to-table difference. We ordered the ham sandwiches and shishito peppers to start, then had the chicken entrée and pork chop for dinner. Every bite was incredible, and the chocolate silk pie for dessert was the perfect ending. We were bragging about this place to people on our wine tour the next day. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Napa!
Amber O — Google review
To say this was the best meal of our trip would be an understatement. We stopped here for lunch on a rainy day and we’re so happy we did. We ordered specials - shoshito peppers and a 7oz steak - as well as a pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the steak and peppers were both cooked perfectly. Add in the setting of a beautiful refurbished barn and you’re in for a treat. Make the drive up the valley and come to Farmstead
Marc G — Google review
Came here for dinner recently. Great atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. It was a good experience except for one thing. We got sat at a table near the front and when the sun was low enough in the window, it shone right into our eyes, and the restaurant doesn't have shades on the windows. They said the sun goes down quickly, but it wasn't quickly enough for us. The food was excellent. Two of us ordered the petrale sole and the other ordered the steak frites. For dessert we ordered the beignets, which were so warm and came with a chocolate dipping sauce.

Italian restaurant
Cook St. Helena is a charming eatery in the heart of Napa, offering Northern Italian cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. The cozy atmosphere and friendly owners make diners feel like old friends. The menu features fantastic housemade pasta dishes such as spaghetti alle vongole and eggplant parmesan. With its blend of Northern Italian flavors and Napa's fresh produce, Cook St. Helena promises a delightful dining experience that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Server was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We had the mussels and homemade sausage appetizer. Mussels cooked perfectly, spicy sausage was a great addition to tasty sauce. I wanted to lick the bowl. We also had the risotto special which was Halibut on house risotto. Perfect sear on halibut. Risotto was outstanding- perfectly cooked and delicious. We also had the vegetable special which was brussel sprouts. These were ok but they are brussel sprout. Wine suggestion with dishes was appreciated. Restaurant is small so a little loud. Would definitely come again.

Delicious food, friendly waiter, reasonable wait time. The fettuccine that was the daily special was the best I've had in my life. Very limited seating, and the layout means it's going to be pretty loud in there if there are other patrons. And it's a bit pricey for the portions. But overall a good experience.
Christopher H — Google review
We had been wanting to try this spot because of the buzz. So many people we know have been here and raved about it. It lived up to the hype for a weekday lunch. We had a nice waiter, good Rosé and phenomenal food. The mussels were awesome! I had the burger and it was really good and super filling. My wife had a seafood dish that she loved as well. If you can get to Cook you won’t be disappointed
Erin M — Google review
We were told by locals to make sure and visit Cook while we were in town last week and it was hands down the best food we had all week even over some Michelin Star restaurants. Their homemade pasta was the best we have ever had! Highly recommend a reservation as it is very small and intimate, but made it that much better! We will for sure be back!!
Elizabeth M — Google review
Intimate setting, high quality service. Everything we ordered was perfect. Truly a fine dining experience and will be a special memory for us.
Jenn G — Google review
Had a great experience at Cook. The service and food were both excellent. We were lucky to have a table before it started really filling up, it can get pretty loud in there. The post-dinner cappuccino were a great way to end the meal.
Devin — Google review
It’s like we are sitting in an Italian restaurant in Europe! Great pasta and wine! Plus great atmosphere!
Campbell K — Google review
Cook is always incredible and this time was no different. Jeremy took GREAT care of us. Our favorite thing to do is order all different pasta dishes and share them with the table, it's the best way to do it because everything is so good. They had our table ready the moment we arrived. Start to finish we had the best experience. Thanks Cook!

Led by the team from The Restaurant at Meadowood, including Chef Christopher Kostow and Director Daniel Dorn, the restaurant provides a celebratory yet casual atmosphere. Emphasizing open-fire cooking and high-quality ingredients, the menu features dishes prepared without heavy sauces or complicated techniques.
Unbelievable. Everything was on point. We ordered a bunch of items. Only the grilled cucumber seemed a little off but they happily removed it from the bill. A huge shout out to Dylan and Gino. They were the ones that truly made the experience as great as it was
Natan — Google review
Came here for lunch after a winery. We sat outside which was pretty with all the trees trees and great weather. Over all the food was great I had the miso Caesar salad, warm sourdough bread and chicken filled butternut squash. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. The hostess seemed very snobby but our waiter was very great and knowledgeable.
Stephanie C — Google review
After eating at other establishments in seperate cities that have been featured on Michelin's Restaurant Guide, I am sorry to report that my visit to the Charter Oak was nothing less than an unfortunate disappointment. This isnt to say that "everything was bad", but more to highlight that the expectations simply did not live up to the hype. It would be polite to start off with what did go right. The interior design of something akin to an old, blacksmith's workshop for the central grilling pit, the old warehouse vibe of the bar, and the harvest decor along the walls added to the ambiance. The wife and I tried the dry-rubbed wings as an appetizer and they were tasty and were generally filling, but were also not particularly 'unique'or special from other places weve been to. During our visit, we also tried the "seasonal raw vegetables from the farm" and while the soy dip certainly did match with the flavors of the veggies provided, the vegetables themselves certainly didn't seem particularly fresh. In fact, many seemed a bit on the older and drier side. As for our main dishes, my wife's steak seemed to be practically overpowered by the gravy that was paired with it, and the Halibut I was served seemed a bit on the older side and had a bitter herb and carrot (?) topping that was not particularly pleasing to the tastebuds. The waiter did provide some recommendations for a wine my wife did enjoy, but looking at the menu price for the glass which was practically the cost for a whole bottle after we left the establishment seemed like a particularly egregious cash grab. All in all, the experience did not feel like it lived up the level of quality thay being on the Michelin guide recommendations, nor the cost when compared to other experiences local to Napa, or other Michelin recommendations.
Jason M — Google review
Veggie dishes were okay, but the miso Caesar salad tasted a bit off. The chicken was hands down the best—super juicy and full of flavor. The wagyu tomahawk, though, was such a disappointment. The meat was just average and way overcooked. For a steak that costs over $200, that’s just unacceptable. 😶
Cheung L — Google review
Incredible lunch experience! The whole table was happy and my only regret is not having a chance to finish our leftovers. Our server, Ruby, was delightful and made great suggestions. I had the cheeseburger per her rec, and it was great! We also enjoyed the chuck tartar, house bread, and pork jowl skewers. This will be at the top of my list the next time I'm in Napa!
Hayli T — Google review
We were at Charter Oak last week in Napa and it was wonderful! We were told by many locals to try the the Fresh Garden Vegetables and dip and it did NOT disappoint. Could've eaten that all night. We sat in the outside patio and it was lovely. A really beautiful aesthetic and wonderful service!
Elizabeth M — Google review
If you are traveling around Napa Valley doing some wine tasting - don’t miss Charter Oak! Possibly the best burger you will ever have: “The Cheeseburger”. We always get the Fresh Vegetables from the Garden. You’ll love this dish to share! I’ve ordered lots of other entrees - and they are all amazing! Great Napa experience - amazing food and top notch service. Tip: After you have your vegetables, save the dip for the fries that come with The Cheeseburger! Great wine selection!
Brett S — Google review
If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We’re not picky diners, and I rarely leave reviews, but the service and food here truly missed the mark. Every server we interacted with seemed disengaged or inconvenienced by our presence. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and entrées at the same time. While the appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, we waited over an hour for our main courses. We eventually had to seek out staff multiple times just to get an update. When our meals finally arrived, they were cold and appeared to have been sitting out for some time. When we raised our concerns, management offered little acknowledgment—no apology, only a brief comment that they would “work on it.” They did comp a portion of the bill and gave us a small gift card along with a complimentary dessert for the table, but unfortunately, the dessert was burnt and inedible. For a restaurant charging over $200 per person, we expected a far higher level of food quality and service. Sadly, this experience fell far short. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as St. Helena has many other excellent dining options that deliver both hospitality and value.

Led by Samantha Rudd and Chef Philip Tessier, PRESS seamlessly blends legendary traditions with emerging culinary talents to create an exceptional dining experience.
It's so stylish, but not pretentious! My sister and I went for their 7-Course Dinner in late July, and it was delicious! Each course was beautifully presented... but also amazing to eat. We ordered an array of their cocktails throughout the meal, and they were incredibly well-made and balanced, with lots of flavor and style. I highly recommend PRESS if you want a special evening to celebrate... OR if you just need a reason to get dressed up and enjoy an enchanted "tastebud walk".
Megan V — Google review
Celebrated our 20th anniversary here. We hadn’t been to Press since Valentine’s Day many years ago. We’ve been hearing all the reviews and decided to splurge and go back. The dining room was humming on a Tuesday night. Excellent service. Very enjoyable pairings. The tomato course was the only one that didn’t wow us. Loved the big antique clock, pendant lights, pretty serviceware presentations, and all of the little banquette seating nooks that make dining romantic. They have a huge wine selection, and tons of bottles aren’t on the list. They found a lovely half bottle of Champagne for us to celebrate with. Thanks to the staff for making our evening so special. Yes, it’s expensive but that is expected. The only price that seemed off was the supplemental caviar bread crown appetizer. It really clever and delicious, but fancy pretzel bread and butter with a small layer of caviar on top seemed more like a $50 item, not $75.
Lisa M — Google review
Had an amazing 7-course dinner with wine pairing. Food and service were incredible. My only comment is that customers need a little more time in between each course so that the dining experience does not feel rushed.
Bessie G — Google review
When Napa Valley added another Michelin star restaurant, we were eager to try it. The atmosphere at the restaurant is lively; with the tall ceilings, it can be a little loud. Overall, the service was good, but our waiter didn’t seem to really be listening to us. He was trying to upsell us alcoholic beverages, which is something other fine dining establishments have not done before. In terms of the food, it was decent, but I will admit that I was disappointed. The first little bite, which was a tart, was super salty. All I tasted was salt. Then the next bite, supposedly a “celebration“ of tomatoes, did not reflect that idea. The yellowfin tuna with the caviar was okay; the server didn’t place all the caviar that was portion for us on to our plates. The ricotta gnudi was good, but it needed a little more flavor. The halibut course that I had was a little fishy, which is definitely it expected for such an establishment. Also, my companion does not eat shellfish and the restaurant didn’t make a substitute for the missing crab - shocking since most restaurants of this caliber have substitutes. The jus with the wagyu didn’t have as much depth as I would have liked. The yogurt panna cotta was terrible - it was sour in a very bad way. The whipped strawberry was great but the panna cotta itself was really bad. The strawberries at the end of the meal was okay. The cheesecake mousse didn’t pack much of a cheesecake taste, but the almond linzer was very good. The wine pairing was subpar - it didn’t really enhance the food. Earlier in the day, we had lunch with a wine pairing and they did a great job with their pairing. Overall, for the price you pay, I don’t think it was worth it.
H D — Google review
Overall experience was wonderful. Food, staff and ambiance were really great. We did the seven course tasting and all enjoyed it. My complaint is with the cost of the wine pairing! Seven course tasting-$225; what I was expecting, however “reserve tasting” - $345! One would expect that to simply be an additional $125 addition for wine which would be reasonable. No, it’s $345 just for wine and it’s not over the top high end wines! So for $225 food, or $670 for food and wine, and that’s for one. My fault for not clarifying, but I would highly recommend against it. Wish I had ordered a really nice bottle instead.
Marc H — Google review
We came here to celebrate a special occasion in our family, and everything from the service to the ambiance to the amazing food and wine made it a truly unforgettable evening. The 7-course tasting menu highlighted all things local and seasonal and was beautifully prepared and presented. I especially appreciated the care that went into the vegetarian tasting menu to ensure it was every bit as delicious, beautiful, and creative as the regular tasting menu. The maitake mushrooms were definitely a highlight, and the coconut cremeux was hands down the best dessert I have ever had. Special shout outs to the chef, our server Steven, and GM Rachel for going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. I look forward to returning!
Ashley B — Google review
I really wanted to like this restaurant and meal. I went in with an expectation of just the chef and his history. I’ve always wanted to eat here and finally made it happen last minute. Overall the service just wasn’t that great and wasn’t on point. I sat for a few minutes before anyone came over to acknowledge me. I asked for water 2x and felt like it took 10mins to get it which wasn’t good. The main waiter just wasn’t on it and at times couldn’t be found and other times he was just hovering over me. The food was good and if it was reviewed solely on food would be a 4 star review. The tomatoes and strawberry dishes were just so flavorful and fresh. The pretzel bread was also a great addition. The fish dish was ok nothing special. The wagyu came out almost room temperature borderline cold which wasn’t a let down but the morel mushroom was warm so…. Yeah overall was nice place but most likely won’t return. Am really getting let down from all Michelin restaurants these days.
Ryan K — Google review
Did not disappoint, food and drinks definitely deserves their Michelin star, usually I'm skeptical of fine dining restaurants cause some times it is more about the ambiance than the food, but this tasting menu made me appreciate the high level of talent and creativity these team of chefs have. All food was super balanced, clean flavors but full of umami, some super fun dishes to eat from. And I'm really grateful for their flexibility and being able to adjust some of my requests, like allowing me to bring my wine and dishes modifications. My favorite was definitely the gnudi, an umami bomb, other favorites were the lobster roll, super fun dish and the broth with orange oil was sublime, halibut dish also super tasty, fresh and clean and that seeded pretzel was a masterpiece in taste and presentation. Definitely a must stop at Napa for both tourists and locals. Service could be better, in the sense of servers being a little bit more warming and smiling, but I guess everyone has different expectations of service.

Goose & Gander is a gastropub located in downtown St. Helena, offering a wide variety of craft cocktails and wines in a rustic setting with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The restaurant specializes in modernized American comfort food and inventive bar-style dishes served in the main dining room, basement bar, and outdoor patio.
Super cute restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood which feels like all the locals go to it! We canceled our reservations at another very popular spot at the last minute because a local said this place was worth it. They were right! Sit outside in the courtyard, which gives you an opportunity to enjoy beautiful weather in the middle of the gardens. Surrounded by fruit, trees, flowers, and ivy covered walls, no better way to dine. Some of the best Shishido peppers I’ve ever had and the absolute best mushroom soup I’ve ever had. The bone marrow was also delicious as was the milk bread and filet mignon. They brought out a chocolate mousse cake for the birthday we were celebrating, which was a beautiful touch.

Some of the best food I’ve had in all of St. Helena! We came on a holiday weekend for the Fourth of July and had a lovely time here. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We sat outside and were sat by a beautiful fountain that made our dinner relaxing. Everything from the drinks to our actual dinner were delicious. I highly recommend anything with their delicious shrimp or adding it to your main entree!

Came after heard the news it was gonna close, and will say it's sad they are closing. Super charming space, they have a cute speakeasy bar on the basement, the ambiance and the mood is definetely great. If I was to become a regular will definetely comeback for the mushroom soup and cocktails. The mushroom soup was amazing, creamy and umami, but also really clean flavors. Other things I order was the babykale salad, was perfectly dressed and well balanced. The mains were also tasty but the lamb parpadelle will say the portion does not match the price, if you are hungry then definetely get the burguer, it's a better value. The duck fries were perfectly crispy and I tasted the duck fat, was not blown away by the burguer. Althought the meat was cooked to absolutely perfection which is always nice, the bun was dense, was kinda like a ciabbatta, and I dont like when I bite into the burguer and the meat and toppings slide away, for me a perfect burguer needs a softer bun. But that's my preference, dont take me wrong, that bun was delicious and definetely either home made or fresh from a local producer, but for me was not pleasant to eat it as a burguer bun. Overall mains did not blew me away if I was a regular my top choice will be the mushroom soup and cocktails.

One of our “Go To” places for burgers and fries. Amazing patio dining area but inside dining is pretty cool. Service was impeccable. Cocktails and wine menu are par for the course. My favorite is the G&G burger and duck fat fries , one of the best in Napa.
Gerald H — Google review
Went in with a friend after some wine tasting. Had great table service and cocktail recommendations based off of my flavor preferences. Food didn't take excessively long to come out and was nice and hot. The servers checked in with us after our appetizers and mains came out and I had nothing but good things to say. We shared a bunch of eats but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs so we had a lot of leftovers to take home, and they were still delicious even after being re-heated. As someone who normally hates olives, I absolutely recommend trying the fried olives as they were way better than I could have expected. Would definitely make the drive out from the East Bay again just to visit this place.

Great spot for dinner in St Helena. This is a cute restaurant with a nice outdoor ambience and serving fresh food. Quite a farm to table vibe which is elevated in their food offerings. The halibut was cooked really well and the summer risotto we tried was really nice.

The chef, Ernesto Martinez, infuses Latin flavors into classic dishes like fried chicken and baby back ribs. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, local ingredients to create satisfying meals such as French dip sandwiches and champagne-battered fish and chips.
We had an amazing dinner here tonight. It was a busy Friday evening, but the manager found us a place to sit at the bar within about 10 minutes, and apologized for the wait (which was totally unnecessary). I had the surf and turf daily special and my wife had the filet medallions. We shared the butterscotch pudding for dessert, which I would highly recommend. The staff was attentive and the kitchen cooked our steaks to perfection. Highly recommend eating here if you’re in St. Helena

Spectacular long time local favorite with different takes and tastes on favorite foods. The long, narrow, high ceiling and rock walls make for a loud setting. The Oysters are fresh and tasty. The Lobster roll is artful, enhanced by thoroughly mixing and drizzling the vin. The Salmon was perfectly done . Try the suggested plates like the Scallops. Even desserts innovate with the Brûlée Banana Split, though there was too much ice cream, hiding the delight. There is a full bar and an extensive,, Cabernet heavy, local wine list. Service is good but stretched, with long time waitstaff.

Absolutely best dinner our entire Napa trip. Had a burger that was cooked perfectly, hot and juicy. The tortellini was excellent. The Banana " creme brulee" was one of the best desserts we have ever had. Highly recommend eating here. The service was some of the best we received in Napa. Thanks to Kirby we had an awesome experience. Ambiance was ideal as we sat outside and enjoyed the quaint town of St Helena

What a great lunch. Service was awesome and the food was very good. Prices were in line with the area. I especially enjoyed the 'sushi' (although they had no chop sticks) This is a perfect place to stop between wine tastings!

Very good food! Kirby was an amazing person and helped us decide what to order. Don't skip dessert! The banana brulee was delicious, and the butterscotch pudding is to die for! My gluten free wife had no problems finding yummy food.

Underwhelming food that was overpriced. $27 for a "lobsters roll" that was essentially a very, very thin Vietnamese spring roll. The clam chowder was extremely watery and bland. As mentioned before, you're paying fine dining prices for low grade food and stingy portions. Service was pretty ok though.

This restaurant offers excellent service, but parking at the location requires attention. The dishes are unique, although the lamb shank was too salty. The corn soup is delicious, and the baby pork chops are tasty. However, the table placement is a bit cramped. Overall, it's a good experience!

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Pizzeria Tra Vigne, also known as The Pizzeria by locals, is a charming spot in St. Helena that has been serving Northern Italian cuisine for over 30 years. The restaurant offers a quaint, old-world ambiance with a tree-covered courtyard for guests to enjoy. It's known for its classic and innovative pizzas like pepperoni, Positano, La Bamba, and Romano, all featuring a crispy-chewy sourdough crust that is fermented for three days.
We enjoyed an early dinner here in June 2025. The Mozzarella al Minuto tastes just as good as it looks and they hand pull the mozzarella at your table! I ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was also very good. The potion was also very good for the price. We sat outside and the restaurant wasn’t very busy, so we enjoyed a nice, calming atmosphere. Our server was good, but not over the top. The parking situation was a bit odd. We parked behind the restaurant and walked through to the front. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

We had our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner on Oct 31, 2025 from 6-9 pm. Service was great! Alejandra was manager on duty and took good care of us. We ordered the Tuscan group dining menu, and it didn’t disappoint. All our guests loved the food, especially the 4 different pizzas and spinach ravioli! Some said the tiramisu was the best! There was a bar set up with wine and beer. The weather was great as we had it on the patio with a large canopy which covered most of the tables. Maria Nuno is general manager. We live in Texas so we had to plan it long distance. I had some trouble communicating with Maria. Sometimes it would take a long time before she answered my emails. She did not give out her cell number. However, everything worked out as planned and our son & fiancé loved it! So did our guests. At the end of the night, our leftover pizza was boxed up for us and all our personalized decor items were returned to us in original bag. Thank you TraVigne for a wonderful evening in Napa Valley!

Solid pizza spot in St Helena near wineries. Great value and classic pizzas to choose from. The calamari, mozzarella bread, and the Caesar salad were also good. Would recommend if you need to pad your insides with carbs before drinking.
Jae J — Google review
The large pizza is very big and filling. We got the Ducati pizza and the Spinach Arancini and both were great. I don’t like spicy and was concerned about the spice level of the pizza and it wasn’t spicy at all. The service was decent, we went on a Monday afternoon and they did their job and nothing more. The restaurant was mostly empty and the noise level was moderate. The seats are spacious and can accommodate large parties. They do have TVs playing sports games.

We had a wonderful experience at Tra Vigne Pizzeria. The Mozzarella was exceptionally fresh and flavorful — definitely a highlight of our meal. The meatballs were tender and well-seasoned, and the fungi pizza had a perfect balance of flavors. A lovely spot to enjoy authentic Italian dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning on our next visit.

Amazing experience, still the same as when I went as a kid. I hope they never change. Their workers are some of the hardest working people.
Nora H — Google review
Pizzeria Tra Vigne in St. Helena is a relaxed, family-friendly pizza spot that manages to balance casual charm with surprisingly thoughtful cuisine. By day, its pet-friendly patio and bocce court lend the atmosphere a laid-back, convivial vibe—great for groups, kids, even your dog. The food is where it mostly delivers. They’re well known for their thin-crust sourdough pizzas, wood-fired to get that crisp yet chewy texture. Standouts include their “Original” mozzarella al minuto, which many reviewers praise, plus inventive options like the “Ducati” pizza with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. Salads, small plates, and lighter fare also factor in well. Service and ambiance, though, are a bit hit-or-miss. Reviewers report that wait times—especially on busy weekend lunch or dinner—can be long. Sometimes being seated is easy, but getting attention can take time. Pricing is reasonable given its wine-country location and the quality, though portions vary. Also worth noting: Pizzeria Tra Vigne has gone the extra mile in offering healthier menu items and sustainability features; it’s been designated “Blue Zones Project Approved.” Overall, if you’re in St. Helena and craving wood-fired pizza in a warm, informal setting—and don’t mind occasional wait—this is a solid pick.

Bakery
Restaurant
The Model Bakery is a beloved establishment that has been a staple in the Napa community for over 90 years. Renowned for its brick-oven-cooked English muffins, artisan breads made with organic stone ground flours, and high-quality pastry products, this cozy bakery is co-owned by Karen Mitchell and her daughter Sarah. The original store in St. Helena and the newer location in downtown Napa's Oxbow Public Market both offer a delightful selection of world-class breads.
Caveat to say that I didn't actually go into the bakery... My husband and I stayed at Meadowood over the weekend and they have The Model Bakery english muffin on their breakfast menu. I had heart about it on reddit so I made sure to order it our first morning and boy did it live up to the hype! In my opinion it doesn't need butter or jam or anything slathered on it. It is perfectly, insanely delicious all on its own.
Maggie J — Google review
My out of town friend and I are spending 24 hours in Napa valley based on popular recommendations from our favorite wine tiktok creators. This place was an absolute must try from multiple sources. And they weren’t wrong. This bakery’s English muffin is absolutely INSANE! Their Canadian bacon sando was awesome! The lavender latte was delightful, and our biscuit sandwich and GF apricot muffin were also pretty good! Don’t skip out on this spot just because it’s “too popular”, you’ll regret it!

We called in for breakfast before our first wine tasting. The associates were so nice & worked really well together. The breakfast sandwiches were great. The coffee was delicious. We will be back for sure.

Our first day required a recommended visit to Model Bakery at Oxbow Market in Downtown Napa. Very small with lots of offerings. Had to try their English muffins and they lived up to the hype. Excellent!
Stu S — Google review
We love Model and live far away now. Purchased two packages of muffins at SFO Terminal 2 market yesterday on my way through. This morning we opened the package to find moldy muffins. No date of expiration anywhere on packaging and they were so expensive for less quantity! Heartbroken and wanted to share as this is unacceptable.
Amy M — Google review
You can tell they care about the food and provide great options. The English muffins live up to hype. Walking around shopping and viewing great art .
Julie B — Google review
I was standing in line when a staff member came and told me to move forward to order. But after I placed my order, they gave the item to the person behind me instead. This was a terrible service experience. I really don’t understand — if there’s a line, the person who comes first should be served first. What’s the point of having a queue if staff ignore it? I come here often and have never experienced anything like this before. The team management should really provide proper staff training. If there’s a designated line for ordering, please make sure it’s respected.

Giugnis Deli is a must-visit spot for sandwich lovers, offering a wide array of premium bread, meats, cheeses, and toppings to create your perfect sandwich. From pastrami to prosciutto and even vegetarian options, there are endless combinations to choose from. For those with dietary restrictions like gluten sensitivity, the deli also offers gluten-free bread.
I’ve been coming here ever since I was a child. Nothing has changed. There aren’t many sandwich spots that can compare. This is the S tier sandwich shop. The atmosphere is amazing filled with unique items all over the wall. Right in the center of St. Helena. Even if you don’t want a sandwich you can always grab a snack.
Isaac M — Google review
This place is a classic. It’s not cheap but it’s fresh and good. Their onion bread and smoked Gouda cheese is *chefs kiss* and the giugni juice is literally some of the best sandwich “sauce” of all time. So good. Old school messy wall vibes.
Austin — Google review
This place is a classic little deli! Their sandwiches are always amazing, and they have a wide variety to pick from. I recommend getting Guigni juice on your sandwich. They have tons of other things like drinks, chips, old-time candies/ treats, and my favorite deviled eggs ever.
Caroline M — Google review
Thirty years of coming here, and usually an hour long drive, and every time it’s worth it. Guigni’s is an institution. Get your sandwich with Guigni juice.
Ben G — Google review
Delis usually have to be cheaper. But this place is expensive. The food was good though, but you can share if you eat less, don't have to buy more. This city doesn't have any chain restaurants nearby so I think this place will be cheaper than other fine dines.
A B — Google review
Terrible selections. It’s best to just make your own sandwich. You can choose the bread, meat and cheese. They put every condiment on without asking you. Employees were talking to each other the whole time. There was more lettuce than meat on the sandwich. Poorly wrapped got very messy. Very expensive for poor quality. No places to sit but they still asked if it was for takeout
Sierra M — Google review
My profile picture is a Giugni's deli sandwich, which instantly brings back nostalgic memories. Giugni's holds a special place in my heart as I've been visiting every summer for the past 20 years, and each visit has been an absolute delight. However, discovering my gluten sensitivity was heartbreaking because it meant I couldn't enjoy their sandwiches anymore. Thankfully, my excitement was reignited when I learned they offered gluten-free bread, even though it's not as good as the originals. Despite the slight change in aura, possibly due to COVID, walking through that wooden back door, seeing the display of meats and cheese, and being surrounded by snacks and drinks still feels so great. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend swinging by Giugni's to grab a sub and experience the nostalgia for yourself!
Eric H — Google review
I was there for a vegetarian sandwich. The person making the sandwich just made a meat sandwich before mine and her gloves were dripping with the meat juices from the prior sandwich. I asked her to change gloves and she got offended and gave me hateful look . People need to be considerate to other people choices. If you are offering vegetarian choices then they need to consider other small details like changed gloves when requested by a customer who are vegetarians I will not be returning to this place again

Californian restaurant
Restaurant
Acacia House is an elegant Californian bistro located within the Alila Napa Valley boutique hotel in St. Helena. The restaurant, housed in a beautiful Georgian-inspired home, offers a seasonal menu with bold and artful American cuisine that highlights the best of Napa's produce. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch, Acacia House provides a classy ambiance and an extensive wine list to complement its seasonally-inspired fare.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, it was the best dining experience I've ever had. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone should indulge here at least once in their lifetime. The food was nothing short of outstanding, with each dish perfectly seasoned to perfection. One of the highlights of our evening was our seats in front of the kitchen, where we had the privilege of witnessing the chefs work their magic firsthand. It added an extra layer of excitement and appreciation to the meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further. Treat yourself and indulge in the culinary delights offered here—you won't regret it.

Our server was great in accommodating our group, especially with our one person who has food allergies. But the food fell short in expectations. My cacio e pepe had wonderful noodles but the sauce itself was missing the black pepper and saltiness of Parmesan. Was a good portion though. The burger and fries were great. The steak frites ... Well, it didn't taste like a high quality meat and the topping on the steak was... Just interesting, I would rather have a chimichirri. The chicken sandwich is also made with only dark meat, which had we known, we wouldn't have ordered. The meat also had a LOT of fat still on it and made my friend feel like she had to comb through her sandwich first before eating it. We were also the only ones at the restaurant, and they sat us outside, which was pretty hot but the meal from start to finish took an hour and half. Which is way too long to sit outside.
Sarah — Google review
My friend and I went to Salvia for lunch over the weekend. We made a reservation but it was very empty. In the past too, it has been very empty. There are 2 restaurants on the premises but they share the same space - not sure what they have 2 different restaurants. Anyway, my friend and I got cacio de pepe to share and steak frites. Cacio de pepe was very bland. The same goes for the steak. It was cooked fine but had no flavor whatsoever. The fries were crispy and good and slightly seasoned (at least that is how I like it). The service was good and attentive.

Service and atmosphere were great! This winery is absolutely gorgeous from both outside and inside. Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the food or drinks. We wanted to enjoy a nice coffee and breakfast but were disappointed by the food quality. The only thing that I would recommend ordering here is the chips and dip! Otherwise, everything else may appear aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but the high price you pay for the taste is NOT worth it. There's free valet parking on site.
Sharon C — Google review
Highlight of our Napa trip! Our meal was so good. The cocktails were strong but very well made. We had a special Valentine's Day dinner set. All the dishes were excellent and very creative. The only exception was that we were not so fond of the aged beef wagyu. But our server was gracious enough to take it back to the kitchen and gave us the poached hen instead.

Bring back Acacia house, with good food, good prices, and friendly environment. Drinks are dull. caviar? Eh seen better. Salmon roe and chips? Wonderful!! Duck meat? Wonderful!!! Everything has changed, high pricing for semi good food
Bunstyle B — Google review
Overall, an enjoyable upscale experience for a special occasion (my birthday), but a few things could be improved: (1) We didn't love having to do valrt parking; (2) It was too cold in the dining area (at the front, near the bar)... everybody in our party had to keep our jackets on through the whole meal; (3) the prices are pretty high (main courses are about average for Napa Valley fine dining, but desserts are $17 and a cocktail is $24) On the plus side, the atmosphere and service were decent, the food was quite good, and they comped some dessert for my birthday. A mostly-enjoyable experience overall, and we (St. Helena locals) might return, but possibly only on rare special occasions.

Such a cute place! The day we went it was a little chilly so we dined in but I would have rather dined out seating looks so pleasant. Service was perfect, friendly service. Food was amazing while I got the a hamburger it's was so.... good the perfect about of onion and melted cheese. My husband had the mushroom risotto which was also delicious. Would definitely go back and maybe stay at the hotel.

4 Stars - A Gas Station with Gourmet Dreams Okay, so Station St. Helena is a gas station, but don’t let that fool you—it’s also a sandwich shop with aspirations of grandeur. Yes, you’re filling up your car, but you could also be filling up your stomach with a sandwich that’ll make you question if you’re actually in a Michelin-star restaurant. It’s a little on the pricey side for what you’re getting, but hey, it’s a gourmet gas station, so who am I to complain? I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much beyond fuel and maybe a stale bag of chips. Instead, I was hit with a perfectly crafted sandwich that was almost too beautiful to eat (but I did anyway). The flavors were bold, the ingredients fresh—clearly, they’ve mastered the art of fancy sammies. Would I return? Absolutely, but maybe just for a snack, not a full-blown lunch. It’s a treat… for your taste buds and your wallet!

Really good food and beverage. I wanted an healthier meal considering ive been eating unhealthy the past two weeks. I ordered a sandwich with their homemade focaccia and a strawberry match latte. Both were delicious! Their focaccia was sooo soft and buttery. It had a turkey in it as my protein and i loved how thinly sliced and layered it was. The strawberry matcha latte came in a bigger portion than expected but it so good i just had to finish. The strawberry jam they used is of high quality and not overly sweet matched with the balance of the matcha. Outdoor seating was great and you can see the view of all the boutiques and dogs walking around. They use good coffee beans too: Naysayer coffee. Great for lunch, brunch and breakfast if you need a bite.

Pizza Slices are small, and overcooked. I tried one more time today, and I'm done with the Station pizza experience. Staff is nice, but the food product has gone in the wrong direction from my first visits back in 21-22, when they first opened and put out an all around solid product!
Craig F — Google review
Called in a lunch order to pick up for 7 ppl. Was told on the phone some sandwiches were sold out. No big deal we ordered something different. Checked in at the order window when I got there and they said they only had to finish up two things but they'd call our name shortly. When they called our name at the pickup window they gave us half the order and then told us that one of the other sandwiches we ordered was sold out. They had two chances to tell us this before that point. So we had to call up the group to see what that person wanted and compare it to what they still had available. While we were trying to figure it out one of the female employees told us to get out of the way so they could serve other guests their orders. And was trying to shove a drink carrier of hot drinks and a bag of our order in my hands while I was trying to talk to one of the other employees about what they had available and talk on the phone to our group about food selection. The place is tiny with little counter space so they really should have told us when we checked in at the order window there was an issue rather than at the pickup window. To yell at us to get out of the way when we were trying to solve the issue they created was really unnecessary. The food was really great but that service and attitude is atrocious. Should have just opted for Gotts or La Luna. Go if it's a couple ppl and you have time to wait but don't bother trying to order in advance to pick up.

We used door dash to get delivery and it was fantastic. They have a gluten free pizza crust from Mariposa Bakery (a super famous all gluten free bakery in the Bay Area - that’s also worth checking out if you are in the area from out of town)! Definitely the best gluten free pizza in all of Napa/Sonoma. My husband who isn’t gluten free said the regular pizza is “really good pizza” which for him as a pizza-enthusiast is a glowing endorsement!

Being exposed as a Napa Valley Chauffeur to food trucks when there are just 1000 other restaurants … to try , Was obviously my downfall prior to trying this food truck today . My server, Allison was spot on when she recommended the polenta as well as the Porchetta ! Both are incredibly flavorful ! The polenta tots being fresh out the fryer were incredible with the ranch dressing. Highly recommended !!! They have a little something, something for everybody, including vegans … The family’s background in farming as well as wines and making Clif bars obvious ! Chauffeur tip if you bring clients to their tasting room or the Enoteca, you automatically get a free meal which is so cool and thoughtful of them ! 👏👏

This spot cannot be missed! The food was incredible with fresh, seasonal ingredients and bold but balanced flavors. I tried the Firecracker Salad and the Polenta Fries—both were delicious. Portions were generous and everything was nicely presented. The staff was also super friendly and helpful with our questions. If you're in Napa Valley, this place is a must-visit. Also stop inside their tasting room for a delicious glass of their vino to pair with your lunch!

I love CRISP. Not necessarily because they have the best food ever, but because they are giving people like me (gluten/dairy sensitivity) a SAFE space to eat. Once you walk in, you have the pastry display to your left and to the right there are beauty products and other great stuff you can browse. I got coffee here and the pork belly banh mi. I will say, I did not expect the bread on the banh mi to look the way it did, but it was quite delicious for being gluten free! I didn't love the coffee, but I've noticed it is very difficult to find GOOD coffee in the St. Helena area. My wife had the avocado toast which also came with gluten free bread and a bunch of delicious toppings. The bread was pretty good, but you could tell it was gluten free... when will we get to a place where you won't be like "hmm.. something is slightly off about this." The service here is amazing. There was a couple beside me that was being quite the tough customer, and the server was delightful and helpful. "Model Bakery" employees could take some lessons from CRISP employees.

Five stars for atmosphere, service, quality of food and deliciousness! And for a gal with an exquisitely sensitive system, I have walked away from this scrumptious lunch not only not feeling a little sick - like I normally do after eating out at most restaurants - but actually feeling great. Be prepared to spend a little more than normal, which I know is true for all restaurants with the effects on sourcing and availability, and for Crisp, the excellent quality of food. However I feel it was well worth it: the owners themselves checked on us twice to make sure we had everything we needed, and we got to sit in the cozy corner on the benches. This place is worth the hype if you don't mind spending a little bit extra money. But don't fret, you'll feel great after dining there.

This place hit the spot. If you want a satisfying and delicious breakfast - this is the place to go. Eggs Benedict was fire and the banana pecan pancakes were amazing. Bloody Mary was 10/10.

Highly recommend this place for breakfast in st Helena! Great spot with great food and great service! We got the French toast and the gillwoods scramble. And of course coffee. Everything was too notch. If you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in Napa valley this is definitely a great option!

On our visit to Napa valley we decided to eat at Gillwoods. The restaurant is right off highway 29 in St Helena. The menu selection looked great. The food was mediocre. The service was ok but not friendly. The chorizo had no flavor. The Huevos rancheros sauce wasn’t hot but tasted rancid. The hash-brown comes in small bricks.

We were greeted and shown great hospitality since first walking in and even sat outside and we were taken care of very well by our waitress patricia and she was FANTASTIC. food was AMAZING from the crunch of the chicken fried steak to the amazing flavor of the French toast. Will definitely go back

Genuinely the best brunch I had this trip to Napa. Unfussy but nicely decorated diner with in-house pastries and extremely well-executed breakfast food. Reasonably priced compared to others in the area. If what you want is a truly excellent scramble with fresh veggies and bacon, or a classic eggs benedict (without unnecessary toppings like caviar and patê) - this is your place. Quite a few locals grabbing breakfast as well. Great location, located in downtown St Helena right next to lots of other restaurants and shopping.

This cafe centered in St. Helena, offered satisfying counterpoint of flavors: a fluffy, vegetable-filled omelette with a savory, substantial foundation, packed with fresh bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. This wholesome meal was perfectly paired with the artistry of craft coffee whose rich, complex notes and aromatic finish elevated the entire experience from a simple breakfast to a thoughtful culinary moment.

Perfect spot in St Helena for breakfast! Their chilaquiles were amazing and my husband ordered the steak and eggs and really loved it! Great service & a wonderful clean inviting atmosphere! Will return again when we are in the area! Definitely give this place a try!
Adilene L — Google review
On their website they point out that they have a best of the valley award for 2023! Their current photo gallery shows cooked dishes offered from their menu! However, they no longer serve shredded Hash Brown potatoes as shown in their menu photo gallery but rather a deep fried small block of a potato! The scrambled eggs tasted like they had been cooked in stale oil! There are other restaurants in the area with better tasting food! Their service was good but the restaurant only had two other customers!

Forum at Meadowood is a charming restaurant that focuses on locally sourced produce from Napa farmers. The country-cozy space offers an elevated dining experience for breakfast or brunch. Guests praise the delicious, well-prepared food and excellent service, making it a favorite spot for many. The ambiance is described as relaxed yet refined, with natural wood and off-white colors creating a cozy atmosphere.
We only ate breakfast here while staying at the hotel but the service was fast and friendly and the restaurant is absolutely lovely. The indoor dining is in a glass encased room letting in tons of natural light and there is a large patio seating area which we took full advantage of in the wonderful cool morning weather. During our stay we sampled the G3 green juice, Meadowood Granola, Eggs & Avocado Toast, Egg White Scramble, Spinach Feta Scone & Model Bakery English Muffin. We enjoyed everything we ate but special shoutout to the English muffin which was absolutely incredible and a must try!

I loved the ambiance—it was truly beautiful, right down to the flowers on the table. I visited for breakfast before heading to Duckhorn Winery and ordered the “Avocado Toast,” “Peaches and Cream Pancakes,”, all the breads “from the bakery” on the menu, and coffee . I was so immersed in enjoying everything that I forgot to take any pictures! I will go back to try egg special next time.

We loved our brunch at The Forum! We had a reservation for 10 people, the service was great, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food was delicious. The chicken & waffles, churros and vanilla latte were the standouts but everyone loves what they got. The ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!

The Forum is our favorite restaurant for the delicious well prepared food and the excellent service by staff. We regularly drive over 2 hours just to have lunch at this fine dining place at reasonable price that is also good for toddlers. Thank you for accommodating our many requests. Birthday celebrations are also given the utmost care and attention to make it the most special moment. It's a beautiful fine dining place without the high price or formality. The kids menu is delicious, nutritious, and generous.

Located in St. Helena, NO|MA House Café and Collective is a trendy spot that offers more than just food and drinks. The chic café also functions as a retail space where visitors can enjoy specialty coffee drinks, healthy salads, and shop for elegant wine country gifts. The interior exudes a calming atmosphere reminiscent of Restoration Hardware with a touch of hygge, making it the perfect backdrop for Instagram-worthy shots.
What a beautiful peaceful serene experience. Very aesthetically pleasing, calming, inclusive (check out couple videos I attached). I’d say this place stand out from others, decide for yourself and make sure to check it out if you’re in the area. I was very grateful for their fresh and delicious vegan option — mushroom tartine, which to me tasted like a generous perfect sourdough toast with warm freshly sautéed mixed mushrooms with a light hint of garlic bedded on almond ricotta and topped with thyme. You can omit cheese and get a salad for a healthy plant-based meal. The freshly squeezed juice is the cherry on the top. My husband had a chocolate croissant but tomorrow we’ll order something else to try. People say Thor muffins and cinnamon rolls are great, coffee and other drinks. You also can browse and buy some good and unique/quality gifts or souvenirs here to remind you about this place. I’ll come back here tomorrow for breakfast - we are here for a wedding, wish I could visit more often. There are so many well-thought little details in eco-chis style with lots of plants, use of wood and stone, and other organic natural materials in neutral and earthy palette with lots of light. I’m not a designer but that’s how I felt. Thank you to owners and chef. Thank you for offering vegan options.

Was a bit bummed... ordered one of their menu items, half sandwich and a cup of soup...I got the grilled cheese and the tomato soup. The woman who checked me out may have been having an off day, I figured this is a new spot and they are still figuring out the ropes, however it was opposite of a pleasant experience which was disappointing... I grabbed my order and when I got back down the street to it, I was shocked.... my 1/4 of a sandwich that was cold to the point it peeled apart... I couldn't believe my eyes... I was speechless knowing I had just paid $18 for a cup of soup that wasn't quite full and a 1/4 of a cold grilled cheese... Fingers crossed the hospitality will improve in the future as well as the food... I will say, the soup was quite good, but did not make up for the experience and the tea sized cold sandwhich.

Best coffee & brunch place in the Napa area! Me and my husband come to Noma every weekend, we love their pastries (especially their muffins and cinnamon rolls, those are delicious) and great cappuccino as well as smoothies. Staff is very friendly and always very professional. My recently discovered favorite item is the seeded gf bread! Love it! And the outside sitting area is so comfy, cozy as well as the inside interior is absolutely inspiring. Truly recommend visiting Noma Hose!

The cafe was beautifully decorated and atmosphere is lovely. The food gets mixed reviews. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were served room temp, cheese was clumpy and not melted, bread was barely grilled. Turkey sandwich had soggy bread from the sauce, so maybe was pre made and had soaked into the bread?? The breakfast sandwich and banana bread were delicious. Matcha tea was super yummy. Chia tea has a heavy ginger flavor.

Stopped by on a hot day to get some drinks and walk around. You enter through their patio which has ample seating. You enter the store and are faced with a long table of their products. My iced americano was okay. The 12 oz watermelon agua fresca for $12 was a disappointment due to being syrupy and not well balanced in flavor. Seating was comfortable and well embedded around their merchandise

I'm a bit of a (self-proclaimed) mocha aficionado 😁 and was overjoyed to find a café serving a mocha with quality chocolate! My partner and I lived in Abu Dhabi, where we enjoyed lovely mochas at Café Nero. Coming back to the states to overly sugary mass produced chocolate was a bummer- until NOMA! What a wonderful surprise. The beauty in this Cafe is beyond compare, each detail carefully designed. The one slight suggestion as the weather cools down, is to remove that massive door that blocks the gorgeous fireplace. It would be wonderful for the entire shop to enjoy its beauty. Thank you for creating this unique business.

Hamburger restaurant
Gott's Roadside, also known as Taylor's Automatic Refresher, is a popular fast-food chain with locations across San Francisco and the wine country in St. Helena and Napa's Oxbow Public Market. The restaurant offers indoor-outdoor seating and prides itself on using locally sourced, organic ingredients to create gourmet burgers, tacos, sandwiches, salads, and more.
We had the Green chili burger, Chicken schnitzel sandwich and the chicken tenders. Everything was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly, it's fresh and definitely not frozen. The BBQ and ranch dipping sauce was made in house and made very well. I am definitely come back.
Winter G — Google review
1. Food: The burger was okay edible and somewhat appetizing but definitely average. It was a semi-dry patty on a bun with nothing that stood out. Not bad, but nothing to rave about either. floppy bacon is so sad. 2. Value: Not worth the price. We paid $55 for 2 burgers, 1 fries, and 2 drinks. That’s steep for food this mediocre. It felt more like a trendy price tag than a quality meal. 3. Service: The staff three teenagers had noticeable attitude issues. When I politely asked where the napkins were, I got an eye-roll and a cold “behind you.” That kind of energy turns a simple question into a reason not to return. I’ve been here before, but this visit will be my last. 4.Positives: They do have a nice outdoor patio. It’s the only highlight of the experience.

I ordered a cheeseburger with an egg and it was delicious! The bread was amazing, and the meat was tender and flavorful. 10/10 I also ordered a strawberry shake since I heard people in line talking about it and it was well worth it. It's not super sweet but you can detect the strawberry flavor. Oh and get the garlic fries! The are DELICIOUS! The restaurant location is good. There's a lot of parking and service is pretty fast the line was moving quickly. Definitely come check it out

Gott’s Roadside never disappoints! Their burgers are always juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — you can taste the quality in every bite. The sweet potato fries are absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also love their tasty hot sauce and ranch dressing — they take everything up a notch. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a casual meal with friends, Gott’s always delivers a satisfying experience! We always stop here before heading to wine tasting at Castello di Amorosa 😃 My husband always gets his chocolate or vanilla shake before wine tasting 😄 Our favorite orders: kimchi burger, ahi tuna burger, cheese burger, sweet potato fries.

Nestled within the picturesque grounds of the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Gatehouse Restaurant is a hidden gem in Napa Valley that promises an unforgettable culinary journey. This charming eatery showcases the skills of talented student chefs who are honing their craft before stepping into some of the world's top kitchens. The menu features a delightful selection of seasonal dishes, often presented as three to four courses, highlighting farm-to-table produce sourced from local farms and even the institute's own gardens.
We had such a wonderful experience dining at the student restaurant! From start to finish, the service and attention to detail were top-notch. Dylan, our server, was absolutely amazing—professional, friendly, and even took the time to open the wine we brought with care and ease. Jake was fantastic as well, delivering each course with a warm smile and impeccable timing. In the kitchen, Riley was not only serving up delicious dishes but also serving looks—truly a star behind the scenes! Ashley, the instructor on the floor, struck the perfect balance between mentoring and ensuring guests had an excellent experience. She checked in with us just the right amount and even thoughtfully folded our napkins when we stepped away—such a lovely touch that didn’t go unnoticed. To top it all off, the coffee and latte art were beautiful—almost too pretty to drink (but we did, and it was great). Kudos to the whole team. It’s clear there’s a lot of passion, talent, and dedication behind every plate and interaction. We’ll definitely be back!

A good fine dining experience, with lîmited choice for a 3 course meal (4 course with dessert), with friendly student servers coordinating plate deliveries. The Pork shank was overcooked and tough. The Duck appetizer was chewy. However the Crab Cakes were very good. The Arugula salad was a little bitter. Wine pairing is available and there is a lîmited wine list by the bottle or glass. The restaurant is simple, bright and clean.

They say the CIA is the Harvard of culinary schools. I’d respectfully disagree and say that not only is it the Harvard, but it’s also the Hogwarts of culinary schools. First reaction from the first bite was: Oh. My. God. You can’t beat dishes that hit every taste bud and give you savory, umami, sweet, bitter, smoky, and nutty. This meal was the best meal of our Napa trip by a long shot (the other reviews before mine about this being a James Beard level experience are no joke). We had the Mexican-themed meal and my girlfriend and I are not fans of Mexican food in general. Despite this, we loved every single dish and polished each plate. Suddenly, Mexican food was our favorite. Every component was intentional and worked to give the dish balance. Many ingredients are grown right on the campus that you can see walking around and are used in the dishes. At one point we were given sauces to complement our 2nd and 3rd courses. We whined and complained when the waiter took the sauces away before our dessert course because we wanted to finish them. Literally wanted to eat them on their own. The flavors just danced and stimulated our palates like few meals have, and we’ve been around NYC and Philly restaurants for quite some time. Service and ambiance are amazing and flawless like the other reviews so won’t belabor the point. Timing, pacing, attention to detail and needs of diners, all on point and are Michelin level. The students involved are those passionate enough to stay in their schooling this far in so the effort and care is there. If I REALLY had to critique something, and this is pulling hairs, it would be the squash blossom dish. The textures weren’t our favorite on the tlacoyo for us (again, not too familiar with Mexican food so this may be our lack of understanding/appreciation) and the flavor/seasoning was a little flat compared to the other dishes. Still giving 5 stars because the experience was that good. If you are a foodie and/or appreciate fresh, quality ingredients and the culinary process, this is for you. My girlfriend and I were genuinely sad when our dinner was over. We were also watching Next Gen Chef on Netflix so this experience was just the perfect/fitting end to our Napa vacation. I could keep going but no one wants to hear my rambling anymore. Just come.

Very nice dining experience. Good quality food. Well prepared. The wine pairing is good too. Pricing is great, only thing that could be better is portion sizes. They are a little small. Will certainly come back.

The service by the students is outstanding. The front of house makes you question how Top Chef restaurant wars consistently have rocky front of house. They conducted front of house with immaculate top notch hospitality. The food was exquisite. Honestly, on par with James Beard nominated restaurants in terms of quality and execution. This is my second time here, and it always exceeds my expectations.

Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen offers Nepalese and Indian specialties in a relaxed, upscale setting with a sidewalk patio. It provides a different dining experience from the dominant American and European food in the area. The restaurant is known for its vegetable momo, lukshya saag in rich curry sauce, and fresh salmon dish called machha ra bhanta. It also offers efficient service, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, and a delicious menu at fairly reasonable prices.
Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen, a small and cozy Nepalese place, is an excellent option for lunch or dinner. Seeing an Indian restaurant in the description initially scared me as I thought it could be too spicy, but the food was excellent and perfectly seasoned. Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Momo were great. The service was very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant is my favorite as a local, the food is always perfect every time. Service is top-notch and everything is delicious. My only feedback is that I wish that the food was spicier! What a gem in a small town St.Helena north of Napa! We had the best salad (avocado salad, sounds “boring” but the baby salad and the dressing were perfect and they didn’t those cheap zero nutrition Romaine/water lettuce), with beautiful dish presentation. Chicken & steak fajitas was great too though they used the worthless lettuce salad on the salad and cheap fatty dressing - should be better for the price of that dish. Also the corn taco should be replaced with regular taco bread. Most friendly and attentive server n bus lady.

What a cute place. What makes it special is the quality of the food, the actively engaged owner, his friendly efficient staff, and the charming artwork from his children from when they were little (they’re grown now) and other patrons’ kids under glass at each table. He truly cares about quality of food and service and one of the children drew him in a cape as “burrito man” of which he is understandably proud. Charming place with good food, quick friendly service, and low prices on a nice walking around shopping strip in lovely St Helena.

First off the service here is top notch! Very kind and helpful staff. The fish in the fish taco tasted really fresh. And it was loaded. So much so that I shared some of the toppings with the less than loaded prawn taco. Both were tasty. The chips and salsa on the other hand… if I need to pay for chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant I would hope that they are REALLY good. These were pretty standard. They were my only complaint of what was otherwise a good experience.

Charlie's Napa Valley is a restaurant with a rich history, as evidenced by the discovery of old horseshoes during renovations. The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes such as wagyu beef, fried chicken, trout, and flatbread with grilled tomatoes. Guests can also indulge in the campfire pie for dessert. While some diners found the service to be lacking in attentiveness, others praised it as outstanding.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding! Charlie’s Napa Valley is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The attention to detail in both the service and the food is truly exceptional. The menu is a perfect balance of creativity and classic Napa flavors, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The wine selection is equally impressive, featuring an expertly curated list that perfectly complements the cuisine. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience was nothing short of perfect. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Napa Valley, Charlie’s is the place to be. We will absolutely be back!

Great meal! Really delicious food, tasty drinks. Good efficient wine list, half bottle list is well done and smart. Service hit all the right notes for an upscale neighborhood restaurant… friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Overall, great vibe. My partner has shouted from the other room that I need to emphasize that the food was So Good. Options to add caviar/fancy supplements kept the menu within price range with luxury options available, well done. Fried chicken is a must and dessert was worth feeling overly full.

I visited to celebrate for my friend who's a soon to be bride-to-be with close friends. The visit left me disappointed. Shortly after we arrived, one of my friends accidentally tripped and dropped a glass. Rather than receiving understanding and assistance, our server made a passive-aggressive comment suggesting that we were overindulging, despite the fact that we had not yet placed any orders. She said, “as I’ve aged, I’ve learned when to slow down on the liquor.” This comment struck me as unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly during our first moments at the restaurant. She asked my friend to return her menu while she was still contemplating her wine order, which created an atmosphere where we felt hesitant to make further requests. It is disheartening to feel unwelcome in an establishment that should prioritize hospitality, especially considering the premium prices we pay. Also, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. The fish dish we ordered was lacking in flavor. The fried chicken was mediocre, and the beer chicken was similarly flavorless. The oysters were good! I felt terrible about wasting the other food and regretted not choosing another venue.

We came here on Saturday night for dinner after having it recommended by every single person that we met while in Napa. The restaurant itself is super cute with a wood burning fireplace outside, but as others have noted in reviews, the tables are packed in quite close together. We were seated at 7:30 and our waitress handed us menus and water but then did not come back to take our drink order until literally 20 minutes later. By that point I was pretty grouchy but it was also too late to pivot and go somewhere else. For dinner we shared the brussel sprout salad and the kanpachi crudo. For my main I had the two layer lasagna, my husband got the 3pc fried chicken and we split the snap peas. The brussel sprout salad and the lasagna were both delicious. The citrus in the kanpachi was quite bitter which we didn’t enjoy, the snap peas were incredibly oily and my husband was disappointed that the only dark meat in his order was a drumstick. I imagine you could request all dark meat when placing the order if you wanted (I would have been delighted by all white meat). After dinner our waitress asked if we were interest in seeing the dessert menu to which we replied yes. She did not bring it to us for another 10 minutes. I know that it was a busy Saturday night but the service was sloooooow and the food was hit or miss. If we lived in the area I would give it another shot based on the sheer number of enthusiastic recommendations we got but if I were in town on vacation and could only try 4-6 restaurants I wouldn’t roll the dice.

So good!!! This was our first visit to Charlie’s and we would definitely come back. The atmosphere is simple and beautiful. The service was fantastic. We were sat upstairs where there is plenty of natural light. The drinks were great and the food was even better. Probably the best, most elevated fried chicken I’ve had. The yellowtail crudo was also delicious!

Erosion Tap House: Winery & Brewery is a versatile establishment that offers a unique experience. It has transformed from a wine tasting room into an ice cream parlor, offering flights of ice cream alongside an extensive selection of wines, beers on tap, and coffee drinks. The laid-back atmosphere and high-quality beverages make it a great place to visit for both wine and beer enthusiasts.
This is a cool space with a variety of beers and wines available. The waffle pretzel with dip is unlike anything I've ever had before. If you're not into wineries, it might be checking out.

Great Ice Cream and Sports Bar set up. Very clean with awesome staff. The ice cream is homemade even the ice cream cones. Two very different concepts all within one building. Genius!

Awesome up and coming location! Irwin was very personable, knowledgeable and attentive. They also operate the next door creamery. 3 huge screens to watch sports. There's a small food menu and a big selection of coffee and other non-alcoholic items as well. Unisex restroom is through the back on the right. Definitely a must stop for a tap house, winery and sports bar.

Great service! Interesting dishes like a waffle corn dog Good ice cream in a variety of flavors and size Fun novelty items like coloring books, bracelets, and cards Great trivia ticker board with fun questions A variety of seating options with a few rooms

Worth a stop! My husband likes wine but he loves beer. We dropped in on a whim as we walked by and so glad we did! The vibe was chill & laid back. The beer was good and several had a very high alcohol content which can be good or bad. I had a glass of bubbles and enjoyed watching (and smelling) the fresh waffle cones being made. Customer service was on point. We’ll definitely be back here to try the ice cream!

Loved our experience here! The wine was good, but the ice cream and the people here was better! Would 100% recommend! Plus they’re open later than 95% of any other tasting bars in the area!

Great spot. One side is a bar, the other is a throwback ice cream shoppe. They also have a bottle shop in the back with 300+ beers. I've been there twice in less than 24 hours, and will probably stop by again before I leave town. If you like beer and/or wine and/or ice cream you should absolutely check it out.

At Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen, diners can enjoy Californian fare in airy surrounds with a tree-shaded patio and a country-house feel. The menu features variations on the comfort food Cindy made popular at Mustards Grill, but spices things up with unique ingredients and inventive cooking methods.
I was extremely impressed with the customer service, food and wine selection. My lady's luncheon turned into an impromptu baby shower and the staff at Cindy's kitchen made it worthwhile! Thank you for the phenomenal food and fellowship.

After a disappointing dinner at Mustard's, I was half looking forward, half apprehensive about eating at Cindy's. But I'm happy to say that it was a great meal. As good as it gets!! We ordered a bunch of food and everything was just perfect. Brussel sprouts: we ate them so quick that we forgot to take pictures. I loved the homemade kimchi and spicy aioli. Mushroom toast: just absolutely divine. There was so much umami flavor from the mushrooms. And the sauce was just delicious. Polenta fries: they must've fried it and then dipped it in butter. It was delicious, but slightly heavy, so eat sparingly! Pork chop: so so good. It wasn't huge (thankfully), but perfectly grilled and the sauce was amazing. Hanger steak: great char and the potatoes were delicoius. Meatloaf: takes meatloaf to a whole new level. The barbecue sauce was a great touch. Duck: I loved the cabbage roll that came with the duck. So yum!

The dinner was good. Everyone had a delicious meal. You can have fancy meals or just down to earth American dinner, which is well done. Desert was delicious. A great choice of vines. A little pricy but good.

We were drawn because we love Mustard's, and CBK did not disappoint. Attentive but prompt service provided a backdrop for an excellent meal. Surprising combinations like their tuna carpaccio preparation or the rabbit tostada (pic 1), alongside California classics like artichoke hearts (pic 2) and pollo loco, offer a tempting selection. Top it with a wide (but not overwhelming) wine list, and you've got a winner! We'll be back!

Ray Ray's Tacos is a new food spot in St. Helena, Napa Valley that offers a delicious blend of California ingredients with Texas recipes. The breakfast tacos are highly recommended and perfect for catering events such as weddings. The restaurant is family-friendly and also great for takeout. Visitors have praised the clean and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the helpful staff who provide fabulous breakfast suggestions.
My go-to spot for a healthy, delicious take on salads, tacos and Ray-Ray's seasonal specials. From the origins of her taco booth at the Farmer's Market, the restaurant is a great addition to the core of St. Helena for us locals -- and a "can't miss" for those rolling through town. Get a taco kit to take home if you can't linger for a meal and chat with Rachel and her caring staff. True woman-owned, community-supporting start-up. Great cookies, too!

Absolutely the BEST tacos we’ve had anywhere! We were a group of 5, each ordering different dishes (birria, shrimp, mahi mahi, chicken & carnitas) as well as the queso and guacamole. Each dish has its own unique flavor; the guacamole was so fresh, the chips hot, crisp & perfectly salted. And the coffee cake! We took half of one home with us, we liked it so much. Do yourself a favor & flag this spot for your future culinary delight.

American restaurant
Bar
Terra, located in St. Helena, is a renowned eatery housed in an elegant fieldstone farmhouse. The restaurant offers farm-to-table New American tasting menus and features deliciously light Californian and Asian influenced cuisine. Chef-owners Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani have received accolades such as James Beard awards for Best Chef and service. The wine list at Terra is thoughtfully curated with around 300 wonderful bottles.
Went for dinner after roughing it out in Safari West. Was fortunate enough to land an 830pm reservation through Open Table in one shot. Score! Kobe! Apparently, they had a cancellation which worked to our benefit. Parking was easy. Terra is a one star Michelin fine dining establishment. And we walked in wearing our safari outfit and converse shoes. We fit right in. Lol. The staff in Terra are very accommodating, welcoming, and attentive. Our server always had a smile on his face whenever he addressed us. The menu is divided into two sections -- savories and sweets. You have an option to create a four, five, or six course meal from the given selection. If you want to skip dessert, you could choose to have all savory dishes. I didn't ask if I could have all desserts though. Just a thought. The portions aren't minuscule either. Gf and I opted for the 5-course tasting menu. So between us we were able to try 8 savory dishes and 2 desserts. This is a pro tip: If you have this option, choose different items on the menu so you could try almost everything. That is, if who you're with is willing to share. They also had a special supplemental winter truffle menu that night. Their food was scrumptious! The entire meal was unbelievable! There were obviously dishes that stood out -- chawanmushi with lobster and shrimp; sautéed foie gras, sweet corn soup, and truffle; lobster tortelloni, sauce américaine, shimeji mushrooms, and spinach; and, of course, their signature dish, the sake marinated black cod and shrimp dumpling, with shiso broth. Their wine list, although California heavy (but of course we're in Napa), offers a lot of good choices at reasonable prices. Per our sommelier's recommendation, we selected the 2011 Gallica Grenache. It was a great choice. So much so that I ended up buying 2 bottles to take home with us. It was definitely a Terra-fic (sorry can't help it) dining experience!

Great service, very attentive and knowledgeable server. Food was very delicious.

We loved the rustic dining room. The service staff was attentive (which was very nice) although the waiter seemed a bit disingenuous. My wife and I each had 3 savory courses. Sadly, we enjoyed 2 of the 6. Each dish was expertly prepared. However, the flavor profile of each dish was overly assertive and ultimately unappetizing. We were so excited to try Terra, but will likely not return.
Michael S — Google review
Overall it's a world class dining experience. Love the dark, elegant room. Classy, on point service and overall high end vibe. Tasting menus are the way to go, with the chefs choices leading the way. It's a top Napa destination.

A fresh and memorable California take on Japanese cuisine. The sake marinated black cod lives up to its reputation -- super tasty. Then again, we didn't have any dish we didn't like. If you like seafood, then this is a must try place on your Napa trip.

The prix-fixe at Terra is always fantastic. This was our second visit to Terra. The atmosphere is subdued with a quiet, intimate setting; there are only a few tables, and reservations required. It is a delicious place for a date or romantic celebration.

Atmosphere was pleasant, staff was quick and friendly. The view overlooks a golf course making it less attractive than other nearby places. We were there for brunch at 1 pm. The staff was well informed, when asking about their assorted pastries they mentioned that they had a limited selection at the time so we went with the cheese plate which was delicious and well explained. The food was prompt and exactly what we ordered. The only issue was with the burger which was mildly tasty but not what we expected for the experience. Overall it was a great experience and we even met a wine proprietor.

Great service by Lilia and Stephanie. Lilia recommended the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and avocado. (The salmon is smoked at the restaurant!) It was delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked, salmon and avocado were plentiful. My wife got the oatmeal with home made strawberry compote, lavender-infused almonds and steamed milk. Outdoor patio had nice views of the golf course and croquet lawns. Excellent breakfast!

Love this place. We’ve enjoyed to Meadowood while attending a wedding, a dinner or two at the restaurant, maybe 5 or so room service orders, and countless brunches at the Terrace Cafe. It’s no secret that this property churns out some incredible food. But where I really think this organization shines is the quality of its team. There are few places where I’ve felt more welcome and appreciated than Meadowood. The people here are professional, unpretentious, and warm. It’s really a place you need to experience when visiting the area. We’ve never had a bad meal here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The Restaurant at Meadowood is a beautiful fine dining location that has a focus on locally-sourced ingredients. They have a focus on vegetables, but that definitely is not something that should keep you away if you enjoy meat. I absolutely love meats, but I was absolutely wowed by the dishes The Restaurant put out. Ambience: Business casual but comfortable, not stuffy at all. Jackets are suggested but not required. Natural lighting, open space. Service: Service is prompt and all the servers really know their stuff. I even asked what plants were in the table centerpiece, and our waiter knew all of them! Food: The food is just phenomenal. Everything they put out is intricate and will surprise you with what can be done with vegetables. Also, you MUST order the cocktails!

Sit out on the porch to enjoy the view. Get a table closer to the entrance though, as the tables further back are surrounded by trees. The food is high quality but the burger is average. Nice wine selection, although pricey. A nice place to relax between tastings.

Incredible food! Some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Now imagine your sitting at your table enjoying your first course and then somebody yells at the top of their lungs, “Dessert!!” So much for the atmosphere. Why anyone would think it’s OK to yell anything that loud at a nice restaurant is far beyond me. The waitress (I think Casandra was her name) was rushing us through our order and seemed very impatient. When I got the bill I realized why. A 17% tip is included in your bill. She had no reason to care about the quality of her service to the customers as she was getting her above average tip no matter how bad she was. I will add the service was slow. We were seated at 2:10 and left at 4:30. I would definitely return for the fantastic food but would ask for a different server and ask to be seated far away from the guy yelling dessert every few minutes.

Harvest Table in St. Helena is a delightful spot. We visited for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed by both the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant has a bright, airy feel, with beautiful views of the surrounding gardens that set a peaceful tone for the meal. We ordered the avocado toast and the French toast, and both dishes were outstanding. The avocado toast was fresh and vibrant, with perfectly ripe avocado and thoughtful toppings that added a nice complexity to the dish. The French toast was equally impressive -- light, fluffy, and beautifully presented, with just the right amount of sweetness. Each bite was a treat. The service was excellent, and the staff made us feel right at home. Whether you're starting your day with a delicious breakfast or looking for a relaxed meal in Napa Valley, Harvest Table is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

A beautiful setting with a warm atmosphere. We throughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. The drinks were fantastic! Hand delivered by the bartender himself! We love you Mark! We ordered several salads and the French Onion soup. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. It was that delicious. Three of the four of us ordered pork chops. Not a word was spoken as they were devoured. I ordered the burger. Now, I’ve had lots of burgers in the valley, but this was far superior to all other burgers. I’m still thinking about it! And, finally, the desserts…try them all! We did. We were not disappointed. My favorite was the pineapple sorbet. Devine! The manager, Marchine (so sorry if I misspelled his name) was so delightful and took the time to check on us frequently. I can’t wait to go back!

A nice place to stop by and by some wine if can make it to one of the winarries in the Napa Valley. If you are writing your bike this is a good time for a quick bike stop to grab a couple power bars or water.

Deli
Giugnis Deli, also known as W F Giugni & Son, is a beloved hole-in-the-wall spot in St. Helena with a charming local vibe and eclectic decor featuring old advertisements. It's a great place to grab picnic essentials with plenty of selection available. The deli is famous for serving the best chili in Napa Valley during the cold months, from October to March or later depending on the weather.
This place is a classic. It’s not cheap but it’s fresh and good. Their onion bread and smoked Gouda cheese is *chefs kiss* and the Guigni juice is literally some of the best sandwich “sauce” of all time. So good. Old school messy wall vibes.
Austin — Google review
One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. All the ingredients were fresh, and service was fast and friendly.
Marc T — Google review
This place is a classic little deli! Their sandwiches are always amazing, and they have a wide variety to pick from. I recommend getting Guigni juice on your sandwich. They have tons of other things like drinks, chips, old-time candies/ treats, and my favorite deviled eggs ever.
Caroline M — Google review
I’ve been coming here ever since I was a child. Nothing has changed. There aren’t many sandwich spots that can compare. This is the S tier sandwich shop. The atmosphere is amazing filled with unique items all over the wall. Right in the center of St. Helena. Even if you don’t want a sandwich you can always grab a snack.
Isaac M — Google review
Can’t take order without phasing out. Lack of interest. Order wrong after laborious failed attempt to communicate. Employees and owners just standing around “annoyed” that someone is ordering sandwiches. An employee sweeping floor behind counter where sandwiches being made stirring up floor dirt and trash; they are oblivious to ‘clean food preparation area’. THIS IS NOT THE OLD GIUGNI’S; the new owners and employees, after multiple visits since they bought the place, Just do not care….23 dollars for a sandwich inedible and rude, detached and lost owners and employees. Not going back. Nor will my fellow coworkers in the area. We have all had similar experiences. GIUGNI’S may be the name on the sign, but this place is not what we know…..this is about how little we can work, how much we can charge and an attitude WE DON’T CARE IF YOU COME BACK OR NOT….plenty of other options, so your wish is granted……and since I’ve been going to GIUGNI’S for over twenty years…..sad but I feel free of awful atmosphere attitudes and stale sandwiches. The rating is really ZERO.
Deborah R — Google review

We stopped in there and got a sandwich before heading to a winery. It was likely the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It was absolutely delicious. It had garlic rosemary turkey with brie cheese on an onion bread. I will dream about that sandwich for a long time to come

Great sandwich! My wife and I split a sandwich to go. They're very big with tons of meat and cheese options. Must get their special sauce which is kind of like a herby, tangy Italian vinaigrette. Suggest getting sprouts to soak it up.

Sushi Mambo is a laid-back Japanese eatery located in Calistoga, offering a diverse menu featuring sushi, noodles, and teriyaki. The restaurant's subdued wood decor sets the stage for a relaxed dining experience. Known for its high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes, Sushi Mambo presents an extensive menu with options to cater to every diet and palate. Patrons praise the exceptional service and personalized rolls curated by the owner.
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Friendly staff and wonderful service! The food is exceptional, and this is our favorite place now!
Sierra B — Google review
Sushi Mambo was quite a disappointment to us. I am Japanese and born and raised in the San Francisco area where we have access to great Sushi restaurants. Good sushi starts with good rice. The sushi rice was much firmer than customary. This is due to improper cooking or poor quality rice. The sushi rice was either drastically under seasoned or not seasoned at all. Good sushi also requires quality fish. What we were served was either not fresh or just low quality. It lacked flavor and texture. A large part of a quality sushi restaurant is the presentation. It seems that the staff is unaware of how Maki rolls should be prepared, cut, and presented. Again a large disappointment. The service was adequate and because we had a dog, we dined outdoors so I cannot comment about the atmosphere although I did venture into the restaurant to use the bathroom and was unimpressed with the dacor. It seems to me that whomever designed the interior of the restaurant had little to no guidance or expertise. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal.

Come enjoy a beautiful sushi experience here in Calistoga, CA. First, choose indoor or outdoor seating. Next choose from a spectacular menu. Just know, whatever you choose, you will leave more than satisfied. I ordered miso soup and hand rolls. We also had an order of “regular” sushi rolls. Everything was delicious and I will surely be visiting again. Enjoy 💕
Tayna L — Google review
The best sushi restaurant in the Valley and perhaps even in the world. Every time I go back to home to Napa, I drive up to Calistoga and order the same sushi rolls. The Phoenix, great balls of fire, Diablo, cheese so beautiful and the ninja.

Miso hungry! Stopped off in Calistoga for a little sushi. The miso soup was very nice. The sushi was fresh and tasty. My wife had the ramen and wasn’t very happy, the broth was not very tasty and the meat had a funky flavor. Having said that the waitress was very good about it, and it was dealt with in a professional manner.

Highly recommend! The miso and rolls tasted so good!!
Keshia K — Google review
The plating was lovely, the food was okay. Inside the restaurant however is a faint tinge of urine. My friend and I chose to ignore it because we were extremely hungry, the service was very slow but I don't know maybe there were take out orders and we just weren't seeing anyone come get them. My soup spoon had lipstick on it so I set it aside on the table and tried to drink the bowl without a spoon but even the bowl had a strange after taste. The waitress didn't seem to care that I put the spoon off to the side with the bright red lipstick facing up and was usually gone before I could mention it, rarely ever to return again. I'm pretty sure if I did say anything I would have just received the same spoon with it wiped off. I don't know if I went when the B team was scheduled but the rice was very chewy for me and the flavors somewhat lacked so I wasn't entirely impressed. Over-all it isn't a bad spot but if you're a seasoned sushi consumer.. maybe go somewhere else

The ambiance is laid-back, perfect for enjoying live music while savoring dishes like fried chicken, grilled salmon, veggies, potatoes, salad, burgers, beignets and more. Very nice dinner. Small local restaurant. Great menu. All entries are gluten free . My daughter had Trixies fried chicken and loved it , my short ribs were good. Not the best I’ve had but very good. Next time going back I want to order the shrimp and grits. Weekends they have BBQ. Would like to try that.

TIPS is a must go to place in Kenwood. We had an absolutely terrific evening. The food was delicious, the service was implacable and the live music was amazing. This is the best restaurant we have been in a long long time. Oh! Do not forget to order the beignets. Our second visit today was just as amazing. The Cobb salad, the seafood stew, the fried chicken, the burgers and of course beignets were all so delicious. The live music was so good. The artist who played the saxophone and the trumpet was magnificent. I simply love this place!
Jean-Yves B — Google review
Came here for brunch. My sandwich was good, our friends enjoyed their food (corn bread looking dish and the grits). My wife being allergic to Gluten and Dairy does make going to places sometimes hard. This being one of those places. Trying to explain to the waitress what Gluten was just wasn't worth our time after multiple attempts. We were able to order certain sides for her. Other than the poached eggs being more soft boiled, she was happy. We were told one of the main reasons to come here was the Beignets. We ordered two orders between the three that could eat them. As you can see from the pictures they were raw on the inside. We brought this up to waitress who said she would take these and get new ones. We were all done eating by the time the "new" ones came out- (they state takes 15minutes to prepare). We cut into the first two and they were literally just as raw, liquid dough as the first. Being that I've had many beignets, we ended up just asking for them to be taken off and they did.
Mike M — Google review
We started with the fried chicken sandwich, poached green eggs and polenta fries. Finished with beignets with three dipping sauces. They really pay attention to details. Everything was beautiful, and very delicious.

Very good restaurant. Many years ago, this place was known as the 'Vinyard Inn'. The atmosphere was great. The service was friendly. Foid was delicious, large portions and reasonably priced. Only gripe was the seats were quite uncomfortable. I believe they had done that to have better customer churn. Nevertheless, I'll be revisiting this establishment.

FUN! This restaurant has a fabulous chef and they are not snobby about it. They have Bottemless BBQ nights, Crawfish Boil nights, and my favorite Test Kitchen night! This is when the chef goes nuts and creates a unique menu, testing newly created recipes all paired to beverages ie: deep fried olives paired with a gin martini. This is a great, locally owned restaurant that I plan on stopping after work, at least once a month.PS They have a catering trolley that will come to you, too! Makes me want to have a party just so they can cater. :-)

We stopped in 12/6/ 2024. This is the only chain resturant in beautiful St. Helena. It had been a long time since I’d visited an A&W Root Beer Stand and it was worth it. My friend had a cheese burger, fries, and a root beer float and I had a bbq bacon burger, fries, and soft drink. It was all sooo good, the service was fast and friendly, and Resturant clean. You order and pick up your food up at the counter. Stop in after you’ve spent the day in St. Helena. You won’t be sorry.

La Prima Pizza is a low-key pizzeria that offers a variety of pies and slices with different toppings, as well as fries and beers. This family-owned restaurant in St Helena, with another location in Calistoga, stands out for its made-to-order pizza, burgers, and pasta. The homemade pizza and pasta sauces are particularly noteworthy, adding to the casual spot's charm. The friendly staff makes fresh pizza dough daily.
Family owned restaurant (they also have one in Calistoga) in quaint and oft-overlooked St Helena. Napa gets the fame for sharing a name with the valley, but there’s a couple other locales that are cuter, quieter, and just as a nice experience in wine country. This place has very friendly and helpful service, clean bathrooms, nice atmosphere, and comfortable booth seating. Upstairs there’s more seating. The outdoor seating on the balcony! would be an awesome place to replenish from wine tasting and plan the rest of the day to other wineries while you watch the Wine Train roll by. If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

I'm 54 and grew up in St. Helena. I'm just saying that my parents hung out there as teenagers!! My daughter and my 1 year old granddaughter were with me. Therefore, I thought that La Prima was a perfect choice. Dang, was I wrong! We decided on a chicken and mushroom pizza with a garlic ranch sauce. We decided to order a grill cheese for my granddaughter. Easy!! Of course, we decided to sit outside, upstairs. Perfect!! Our order was delivered promptly and with a smile. We noticed that the grill cheese sandwich had lettuce and tomato on it. When we asked why, we were told that's just how it comes. Moving forward, there was a super thin sauce that didn't have a hint of garlic. The pizza was cooked great, and the toppings were good, but a bit more sauce with actual garlic would have been great. However, next time I'm in town, I think we will be going to Giuni's Deli instead!!

Got a pizza here on my lunch break and was told that I was being charged a fee to use an ATM card (after my card was swiped) I asked how much the fee was and the cashier started giving me attitude and said "it's a percentage" and that it "depends on the order". I asked several times what the fee was and this guy just kept saying " I don't know. Like I told you, it depends on the order". I wasn't asking an unreasonable question and not sure why I was getting lip about it. Besides being sick of fees, charging a fee on percentage is bs, then being rude about it is crazy. Never going back or getting pizza here for company events again. Plenty of good food in St Helena.

Great food, very friendly and helpful staff, quick service, and reasonable prices. One of the biggest challenges in Napa when you're running from one tasting to another is squeezing in a bite to eat without waiting in a rock concert-esque line while still paying an arm and a leg. This place brought out a family style salad, large pepperoni pizza, and fries for 4 of us in about 10 minutes. Total cost was a hair under $50. You're not getting French Laundry style delicacies here, but we will be coming back here for future wine trips!
Erik F — Google review
Friendly, quaint, clean, affordable, and rather tasty. The chicken wings were very tasty. We devoured them like meat loving vultures we are. The Creamy Angel Hair pasta with chicken was excellent. It was a great blend of flavor between the parmesan sauce, sun dried tomatoes, and basil. Chicken actually had flavor so it's a must add. I also added a hefty amount of red pepper flakes which helped...elevate the flavor. It came with side of garlic cheesy bread that would make any lactose intolerant individual cry with glorious anticipation. Unfortunately, Pesto Chicken Piadine was less than decent. The pesto seemed to lack the flavor we found in our other dishes and it just seemed to fall flat. We could not enhance it with parmesan nor red pepper flakes. It could've been an off day so we'll attempt it again sometime in the future as we pass through again. All in all, the prices were great and the food was mostly excellent. Check it out for affordable eats.

Terrible service and pizza was worse! One pizza had half the slices with zero cheese pictures below. Ordered 2 family salads and got one family and one personal, forgot the basil on the margarita salad. Called to let them know and they said, “sorry about that” that’s it, no refund, no offer to replace the horrible pizza and no offer to correct the salad order. Do not bother just buy frozen pizza at Safeway you’ll be much happier.

I would not return, the burger and cheese were burnt outside, fairly rare inside and bottom bun was wet! ($14) severed with a huge side of sweet pickles? My husbands ribeye sandwhich had no texture ($17) how is that even possible, everything is ala cart 10oz Canada Dry ginger ale & 12oz coke $6.00, 1 basket of delicious fries $4.00 (?) were the best thing we had to eat. You grab a menu on the way in, order at the counter, find a place to sit and they bring the order out...no real service. We were here at lunch time. *I wish I had removed the bun or cut in half the burger for the picture.

Reasonably priced and less fussy than most of Napa valley. No corkage fees and no tipping! Staff was friendly and food service was remarkably quick. Food itself is a bit light on seasoning, but meats are high quality. Chips and pimento cheese definitely unique and fun to share. Atmosphere is farm style and country style bar feeling. Any time before dinner means you order at the counter so very fast food feeling. The pork sandwich was very salty. Sesame bun was a pretty cheap substitute for great bread available in napa. The service was non existence. We asked the manager Vic or Nick for another beer and he acted like we were going to run out without paying. Instead of smiling and asking about our meal or offering the types of beer available he stood there and said credit card? I need payment. Very abrasive. Won't be back. Too many great restaurants with great service in Napa Valley.

First of all, you have to order at the bar, then go go pick out a table. The burger was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. I could have scraped the insides out and made another burger patty for the grill. The ribeye French dip was flavorless and had no texture. Fries were extra and were pretty good. Over all it was expensive and disappointing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden Gem with Exceptional Drinks and Food! I was blown away by this place! The food alone would make it worth the visit — the burger was absolutely incredible — juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. But what really sets this bar apart is the quality of their drinks and the attention to detail that goes into every ingredient. You can tell they’re using top-shelf, high-end products in everything they serve. A huge shoutout to Skyler, the bar manager, who made our experience even better. Skyler’s knowledge of mixology is seriously impressive — every drink recommendation was on point, and the passion for the craft really came through. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill, personality, and genuine hospitality so effortlessly. Word is they’ll soon be transitioning into a full cocktail bar with a speakeasy vibe, and honestly, I can’t wait. If this is just the preview, the next phase is going to be incredible. Do yourself a favor and check this place out now — great food, even better drinks, and amazing service. You’ll be glad you did!

When we arrived it was empty. Of course they came right out to help us. Before the waitress was back with all of drinks, our first appetizer came out. We were impressed. Went for lunch on a Thursday. Ordered take-out at noon, food cam out quickly, and had an 8 minute drive home. Opened dishes immediately. After tasting everything, threw all $45 worth of food out. Hot and sour soup: tasted as though a big cup of vinegar had just been dumped in. No subtlety. Veggie chow mein: noodles were okay, just noodles. Veg consisted of large pieces of under-cooked celery and broccoli - too large for a bite and tough to cut through even with a knife. Completely bland. Orange chicken: soggy, with breading barely hold on or completely falling off too-large chunks of chicken. Had to cut up into 3-4 sections for bite-sized pieces. Scraped up what sauce there was from bottom of dish to moisten pieces, but not at all spicy or hot. Altogether, a waste of money and food. Expensive lesson, never going back.

Got pick-up on Mother's Day, we ordered extra for leftovers, which never happened, and man were we disgusted. We like spicy food but everything was bland and stale. The chow mein noodles were white! no veggies in our rice or noodles, and the chicken was so bad, fatty and nasty! Immediately my stomach couldn't take it. I tried to reach out and wrote an email to the business, just to let them know the food was beyond terrible (if I was an owner of a restaurant I would want to know), and of coarse I got NO Response back. Do not eat here, you will get sick! Do not waste your money!

We've been to Golden harvest quite a few times this past year and the food has been excellent. Unfortunately, this was not the case with our latest visit. We were there during the lunch hour so we ordered the broccoli beef and the chicken delight lunch plates. The broccoli beef was too salty. The Chicken Delight was anything but delightful. The 4 or so Small pieces of chicken were tough and looked very unappetizing. Both plates were swimming in their respective sauces. But...Because we'd had such good experiences before, we didn't hesitate to take a bite even though the food didn't look as good as usual- but that was a mistake.

No flavor to our vegetable chow mein, vegetable fried rice, or to the eggrolls. It's over priced and my boyfriend and I had to add tons of stuff to it at home to make it better. The food was hot and not drenched in oil though from what we could tell. While waiting for our our food for take out, the table we sat at had a huge layer of grime across it. The staff were polite and offered us free water, but we declined because we couldn't see where we would be getting the water from. When we pulled up there was a loose dog, but found out later it belonged to the staff. The staff person put their dog away, but proceeded to tell us how it was normal for the dog to be there apparently. Anyways, it's not a place I'd recommend.

This place is always worth the drive from Berkeley. I degeneracy recommend their shrimp fried rice( but make it spicy). It's family owned and they're always really friendly

First thing's first: no, this is not a glamorous or gourmet restaurant, so it's not like a "destination" spot I would hit up (if you are up for a day or weekend visiting wine country, I highly recommend dinner or even lunch at one of the many great restaurants all over the valley!) BUT it does the job, and as a local, I will probably be returning: 1) For some reason, I was really, really craving Chinese eggplant yesterday (I don't know why, this has never happened before), and then I remembered we have a Chinese restaurant right in town! (have gone past it many, many times and never gave it a try), and their menu listed eggplant so... off we went! 2) It was not crowded, but also not empty (which would have been a worrisome sign)... atmosphere was about what I expected (clean but nondescript); the menu was a lot more extensive (and a little bit more expensive) than the one they have online, so they should probably update that... 3) But prices are still not bad. Some people say this restaurant is "too expensive", but you're not going to get cheaper than this (especially in Napa Valley!) unless you go to Panda Express. It's about $10-13 per dish, but the dishes are more than big enough to feed one person (we took about half home as leftovers, though we did have some eggrolls first) 4) The dishes we got (eggplant in garlic sauce, pan fried noodles) could have a little more flavor, but still tasty and nothing a little sriracha won't fix... The dishes were also a little bit oily, but that's to be expected of this kind of food, and it just makes it stick to the ribs better ;-) They had some decent selections on the beer and wine menu (I would have preferred more variety of beer, though they did have Scrimshaw Pilsner, which is our favorite pilsner... and they also have their own house brews, apparently! They told us it was a saison, which I would have loved to try, but apparently it was not yet on tap...) Might come back, but the problem is that my wife is sensitive to MSG, and she suspects it is in some of the dishes here (based on mild headache and swollen hands in morning), but I don't get affected by that, so... maybe when I need dinner for one?

Caffe della Valle is a charming spot with a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the almond milk cappuccino is described as perfect, while the creamy espresso is also highly praised. The food is delicious and there's both indoor and outdoor seating available. Although some visitors found the service to be somewhat indifferent, others loved the outstanding food and wonderful atmosphere.
We stumbled upon this adorable Gelato/Bar/Espresso spot while looking for a dessert place after eating dinner down the street and I am so happy we chose here! The Gelato flavors were great and you can make an Affogato with any flavor, which makes it hard to choose between gingerbread and hazelnut, so we went with gingerbread and got a cone of hazelnut.

Ordered a sausage, eggs, and cheese breakfast burrito and coffee black. The order arrived loaded with ingredients that I specifically didn’t request. The counter help got snippy when I complained. I didn’t have the time to stay and have them remake it. The black coffee is good.

The food is very good, and the drinks (especially the caramel hot cider) are oozing with flavor. It also has a nice and cute ambience. However, the cost is insanely high, with a single smoothie costing $9. Sure, the food is good, but nowhere near yo that level.

I came to order coffee latte and dessert. The staff are lovely and kind. The place was very clean and beautiful. thank you for a good day ❤️

My favorite cafe in the valley. Truly a European style cafe. The coffee is fantastic, they actually know how to make a real macchiato. Great selection of beer and wine. Don't even get me started on the gelato. The crew is always wonderful. I cannot say enough nice things about this place.

Friendly waitress & customer service @ counter (you have your go inside with a mask to order). Tasty food: ordered the St. Helena Cheese-steak & got 'happy hour' price @ 2 p.m. The tomatoe soup was pureed & was delicious! Nice to have GELATO ice-cream :) she put 3 flavors inside waffle cone @ $6.50. Reasonable prices & good value...glad we ate there!

The ice-cream was incredibly tasty. It was not too sweet) there were many flavor of ice-cream (~20). The coffee was perfect too. The staff is polite and quick. The interior is lovely and you are able to sit with a big company (from 2 to 8).

My wife, a friend of her's, and I were in town doing a tour of Napa and decided to have a coffee and Gelato. My wife was super excited to see a cute place with Gelato. She asked for one sample and was about to order when she noticed another flavor that she usually likes a lot and wanted to try it. She asked, and the guy told her they only allowed one sample! Do what??? Every single Gelato shop we have ever visited has allowed more than one sample. The little spoons are tiny and there were three of us about to buy Gelato and three coffees or cappuccinos. I guess they feel that second super tiny sample is worth saving over selling three cups of Gelato and three Coffees. Business sense that makes no sense. Now, if my wife or other customer was on her third or fourth sample with no decision yet, then yeah, common sense would kick in and then you could ask for a purchase before providing more samples. I've seen other comments of college kids saturating their seating etc., so maybe they have had issues with kids getting a lot of samples and not buying, but when you have a ridiculous blanket policy like this, it's going to hurt your business from true customers. Great job, you saved your tiny little sample at the expense of three Gelato and three Coffee sales and customers that will not return. Update, wow, after seeing the owners responses on here and calling their unhappy customers names and showing their maturity level, I'm glad we didn't give this place any business. Feel free to look at my other objective and great reviews and determine for yourself if you want to support this place. I'm a business owner myself and their responses are appalling. Wonder what kind of lame response I'll get. Excited to see it...

That Pizza Place is a local joint located at the corner of Main and Spring St. They offer whole pizzas starting at 10 inches, with specialty options that looked tempting. During certain hours, slices of pepperoni and cheese are available for a quick bite. The pizza has a thin and greasy crust but hits the spot perfectly, although it may require some napkin dabbing to reduce the grease.
The pizzas are made fresh toorder. The owner had great customer service. It opens early it's a great place to get a quick bite before going to winery's.

We weren’t hungry but knew we needed something quick to hold us over for our wine tasting in an hour. Then found this pizza place while standing at the corner of Main and Spring St. They sell by whole pizzas starting with 10 inch. The speciality pizzas looked so good! However, only pepperoni and cheese came in slices for $3 each from 11am to 3pm. It’s your typical fast food pizza joint with thin greasy slices but it hit the spot perfectly. You would have to do the napkin dapping to reduce the grease. I would recommend to come here if you don’t want to spend a lot and have great company. Check out the photos on the wall!

Like the sign says nothing fancy, just good pizza. Locally owned, employing local highschool kids (a rarity these days). They make a NY/NJ style pie, lots of cheese hand formed chewy crust, light sauce. Tasted great, my personal preference is to crisp it up a bit more, give it a couple burn marks, next time I'll order it extra well done, but that is me. If St Helena had a bar scene, or anything after 7pm scene, this would be my corner jumbo slice. Solid pizza that won't burn your wallet like the other two (Cali style) places in town.

ever since i went here for the first time in 2016 this has been the only place i will order pizza from. slice to price ratio is really good, like really good. you can get a large pizza for under $20 and its gonna be the best pizza you’ve had.

Been getting pizza here since they opened. Definitely recommend the Lg Combination with Xtra Mushrooms and Onions. And they’re pretty solid when it comes to having your pizza ready to pull if you give them a “Can you have it ready for 6” situation so that your pizza is piping hot. Just be sure to give them atleast 30 minutes to get everything together and cooked though. My go-to for sure , just wish they had enough business to stay open after 9

Limited production, but oh what a production. The city of St. Helena does not allow chain hotels or restaurants so this is not your typical chain pizza place nor pizza. Very tasty; so much so, I ate the whole thing -- a large with pepperoni, sausage and tomatoes. Pizza dough made fresh daily and hand tossed. Excellent experience.

Perfectly good classic pizza. Not overpriced at all, quick and delicious. Far superior to La Prima across town. A far better deal for take out than PTV for a family and much less pretentious. Hard to compare the two... Much like comparing Villa Corona to Azteca... Similar but different.
N R — Google review
Top notch pizza, I was rushed on a spontaneous lunch visiting a family hero and googled pizza, choosing the 3rd listing with 4.3 srars. A true Hole-in-the-wall surprise. It's more of a take out for locals not having much of a dinning area but 3 tables. Next time in July I hope to find a community park to relax and dine along with a local Rhone to twirl and sip.
