The Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen is a relaxed beachfront spot located along Swansea Bay, offering classic dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. It's a dog-friendly place with half of the inside dining area welcoming furry companions, and dogs are also welcome on the terrace and garden. The restaurant boasts stunning views of the seafront and offers a menu featuring modern British cuisine, authentic Welsh dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Greeted by a super friendly front of house, shown yo our table. Stunning decor and views over the beach. Excellent table service, so efficient. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Mel J — Google review
One of the three eateries under the same management in Swansea, The Secret - Beach Bar & Kitchen is located on the beach and boasts wonderful views. Seating is available outside and of course, inside the eatery. There is ample parking available. On a clear summer evening sitting outside is always advisable. Once you’ve been allotted a place to sit, service is prompt. On holidays and special days, it can be very crowded so it’s advisable to be prepared to wait your turn. The food served is wholesome and the actual presentation, good. But that all depends on what you order. They offer a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. So, if you are looking for a place to spend some quality time with your family or friends and wish to be by the beach, there’s no better place within the city, than the Secret. Go for it.

I had a fantastic experience at Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen in Swansea. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with a great seaside vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout my visit. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour – definitely worth trying if you enjoy quality dishes with a creative touch. Combined with the lovely views and overall ambience, this place is a real gem in Swansea. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So glad the Sunday roast is back - did not disappoint! So tasty with a lovely variety of veg. Delicious cauliflower cheese - I am always on the hunt for a really good roast out and the secret may have just become one of my top spots. Would highly recommend!
Nicole W — Google review
Great location & view. Order by QR code but would be nicer to be offered a physical menu. Service is ok but no follow up to check how the food was and if everything is ok. A bit on the pricey side. Shame there’s no alternative restaurant/bar along the beach. There’s no competition at all so why would they make an effort to improve the quality of their food and service?
Richard Q — Google review
After reading a few negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit today. From the moment we arrived, several members of staff greeted us and let us know our host would be with us shortly. Everyone was attentive, polite, and friendly. We were seated quickly, and our host was equally welcoming. Our food and drinks arrived promptly. I ordered the French toast with yoghurt, berries, and granola, while my partner had the Welsh breakfast. Mine was absolutely delicious - no complaints at all, which says a lot coming from me! My partner really enjoyed his too. Both dishes were well presented and arrived at the same time. The only slight downside for me was the portion size. I was still a bit hungry afterwards if I’m honest and ended up stopping somewhere else on the way to my next destination to fill up a little more. A slightly larger portion, maybe two slices or an optional side (more fruit.. a banana perhaps) would have made it perfect. I would recommend and will return.
Hol D — Google review
We visited here last night before the Skindred concert in the Patti Pavilion and it was absolutely fantastic! We've had breakfast here once before and that was equally great too. The steak was cooked beautifully and the peppercorn sauce and chips were delicious. We both also enjoyed our puddings, which was tiramisu and my partner had the chocolate brownie. Absolutely fantastic, great drinks, and Harry was a great server, very chatty and attentive - 5 stars for him! We'll be back!

Off to the side is their Takeaways booth which serves iced and hot drinks. Staff was super helpful in explaining their drinks. Many people at the Beach Bar and Kitchen. We stopped at the Takeaway walking to Bumbles. I had an iced coffee and spouse had an iced mocha. Great day for a pleasant walk. Sorry I couldn’t get a better photo.

Nestled in the heart of Swansea, Founders & Co. is a delightful haven for brunch enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable experience. This vibrant food hall boasts a diverse menu filled with handcrafted culinary delights, all crafted by talented local artisans from South Wales. The welcoming atmosphere is complemented by an attentive and friendly staff, including Denni, Holly, and Lozza, who ensure that every visit feels special—whether it’s keeping your drink topped up or offering personalized menu suggestions.
Outstanding food and a great atmosphere. 4 or 5 vendors available and you order your food and drink on the app. My burger was unreal and the missus had a wrap. The mozzarella fries were also out of this world!

Quite a bustling vibrant atmosphere, chilled relaxed environment. Order via QR code and wait for the goodies to arrive. Service was swift. Staff friendly. Had a pint of the local IPA. Went for the tex mex food and had a mushroom veggie option which was awesome, good spice fairly warm. Loved it. Took a few minutes to be seated, sometimes it is crazy busy. You can reserve a seat as well.

Cool place to go for food, drinks and enjoy the music. Central location on Wind Street in Swansea. We were greeted by the friendly security guards on our way in. We easily found a table. Had to scan a QR code and order via the app, which isn't great if 1 person is paying for a group as they have to pass their phone around and put the orders through one at a time. Would have been cool if we could have ordered from menus at paid on ordering or when leaving. Some events and cafe in the daytime. Parties and themed nights in the evenings. Similar vibe to Albert Hall, but more cozy in my opinion. Food was good, decent portions, but it all came at different times because we ordered from different stands/vendors. Can be expected, it's not a problem. Board games to play if the conversation runs dry 😆

Food was great, very filling and very good value for money, expensive ish BUT worth the money! Great cheerful, helpful, friendly staff. Loved my first visit, and will definitely be going again. Husband loved the tater tots and burger. I loved the burger and chips. Thankyou for a lovely lunch experience.

Visited for the first time on Friday 3rd October at 6.30. We were seated quire quickly despite it being very busy. We ordered from 3 locations, bar, Indian and Mexican. The Indian food arrived within a reasonable time swiftly followed by drinks. No sign of Mexican. My wife finished her food and mine still hadn't arrived. After a word with a staff member my food eventually arrived, no apology whatsoever. I've given 2 stars for service only because the front of house staff were very good. Finally, where we sat near the door was very drafty
Ceri J — Google review
We couldn't book for lunch (half marathon day), but came for an early dinner (5:30) and it was half empty so easy to get a table for six of us plus the dog. Some choice of food via the app from different kitchens - burgers, Indian, pizza, Mexican. Decent Tiny Rebel beers selection, and a fairly well stocked bar. A few bits of colouring and crayons available for the kids if you came unprepared. Service was decent, food came fairly quickly, though it wasn't mega busy so I don't know how that would change at peak times. The food was nice but not mega. My burger came with waaaaay too much chilli jam on it, I had to scrape half of it off, and even then it was a bit much and overpowering. Still nice, but would have benefited from a more-is-less approach on the sauce. And my mum crispy chicken was way more crispy than chicken, a bit light on the meat so felt a bit of a con. Overall, it was a decent trip and I'd return in future. Nice vibe in the place. Music is on the loud side, depending on where you sit, but we just about managed to hold a conversation. Not food related - but there are some decent threads in the second hand clothes store at the front.

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Swansea, the food is top quality. We visited today for a halloumi burger and fries from MAG and while a little on the pricey side, it felt totally justified given how fresh and tasty the meal was. I would’ve happily paid twice as much, the food was that good! Staff are always smiling and helpful whenever we visit, great atmosphere and comfortable seating. Can’t recommend this establishment enough if you’re in Swansea!

The Welsh House Swansea is a new dog-friendly bar and restaurant located in Swansea Marina. It offers locally-sourced food and drinks, with the largest outdoor dining area in SA1, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the sea breeze. The cozy pub-like eatery celebrates the best of Wales and provides a lovely setting by the Prince of Wales Dock. Visitors have praised the delicious menu featuring homely food with a Welsh twist, as well as outstanding service from friendly staff.
Have never been to a place where the staff are so attentive. We were treated like VIP’s. They couldn’t do enough for us. We thought that when we were in the pod outside we would be forgotten about but couldn’t have been further from the truth staff really made it a special occasion for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious especially the scotch egg and chips were stunning. Would highly recommend. Thank you for making it really special.

Had a lovely time, good quality food and good service and somewhere we'd look forward t9 returning to. Two slight issues, The food was great (just to reiterate!) let down by the bread and butter pudding, real lack of flavor and no dried fruit (a staple part of a bread and butter pudding!) so it was like eating sweet bread and custard. The menu has different prices for the deserts that then bill (£1 more on the bill than the menu) but didn't notice until we went home (only £3 difference), the staff did mention something about updates so it seems the menu and system aren't in sync.

We visited The Welsh House for Father’s Day and had a fantastic experience. The food was spot on—served hot, fresh, and full of flavour. Everything we tried was delicious and really well prepared. The highlight of our visit, though, was the incredible service from our server, Teresa. She was extremely helpful when it came to the food and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. All the baby seats were in use, but she kindly went next door to a neighbouring restaurant to borrow one for us. That kind of thoughtfulness and care is rare—Teresa was absolutely lovely and we couldn’t have asked for better service. As part of their Father’s Day special, they were offering a free pint of Madri, but since I don’t drink alcohol, they had a great alternative—a free soft drink instead. I chose to stick with water, but it was a nice touch and appreciated all the same. All in all, a warm and welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be returning. Thank you again, Teresa!

We booked for a 50th birthday party on 21/06/25 in one of the Welsh Huts! The food was absolutely stunning and something for every one. Loved the Welsh ingredients incorporated into all the options! Best of all was the exceptional service from Ruby and Lily they went the extra mile which enhanced the experience. We will be back soon!

What a bizarre experience. Booked a table for 1pm for an early mother's day treat. No food arrived until a quarter to 3. I politely asked 5 different staff for an update. They all said they would check on progress but never came back. One said there were problems in the kitchen. My blood sugar levels were crashing at this point as id done a 5k park run and we were just about to leave. A couple in front of us left as did a family on the table behind us. Another family asked to see the manager It was an afternoon tea. No idea why a few stale sandwiches took 1 and 3/4 hours. The waitress claimed they were freshly made to order yet the bread was dry and had clearly been sitting around for a while. Even the tea took 25 mins to arrive. The portions were stingy. 3 small sandwiches each and a tiny pot of jam and cream between 2 scones. A nice atmosphere in there but something really wrong with kitchen and service somewhere!
Joanne M — Google review
Visited the Welsh House Swansea for a birthday meal. We had phoned to book, which they advised we were able to have one of their outdoor huts. On arrival, nobody was aware of our booking however as it was quiet this issue was resolved quickly. The 5 of us all had different main meals and each meal was absolutely delicious! Each dish was full of flavour and were great portions. The burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had and all of us absolutely loved the chips! We will definitely return. Food was reasonably priced.
Sian R — Google review
Such a cosy and lovely place to visit for food and drinks. Staff were lovely, however not entirely organised which I understand as it was extremely busy. We ordered a roast dinner and it was one of the best roast dinners I’ve had!! Will definitely be visiting again.
Kylie B — Google review
Booked pod for afternoon tea for 5 people, pod was lovely however the afternoon tea was very underwhelming. Sandwiches were bland with very little filling and no garnish as you'd expect, welshcakes were dry brownies were bitter and 1 pot of jam had mould in it. When making payment in cash I was asked "if I wanted the change" £6.10 when I replied yes I was told they didn't have any and was then left waiting several minutes while they got some together. Very disappointing afternoon

We were spending a few days in Swansea and found this a good place for breakfast. Good choice if you are not a meat-eater. Very efficient, quick service. Good, interesting, well-cooked food (their cheese and sweet-corn fritters are exceptional). We were there on consecutive days. All staff friendly on both occasions. The young man who served us yesterday morning was an absolute delight.

A large room filled with a wild mix of old photographs, almost kitschy paintings and comfortable furniture offers a pleasant atmosphere for a relaxed beer or cider. There is also an extensive menu with sandwiches, burgers, salads, bowls and Asian dishes.

Coast Cafe in Swansea warmly embraces canine companions, allowing them to join their owners inside the establishment. The friendly staff go out of their way to make dogs feel welcome and even offer treats for them. Situated next to Coffee Fresco, this charming cafe is a delightful spot to observe the bustling surroundings while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Cozy and welcoming spot by the sea. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, with lovely views of the coast. Outdoor seating and indoor seating, including an upstairs area, are available. The staff is helpful and service is efficient. Coast Cafe is always a great choice for just a quick coffee or good food with a nice ambiance.

Beautiful cafe, Toni was very friendly and made our delicious yogurt and granola breakfast herself and cappuccino with oat milk, we give a 10 out of 10!! She was so lovely, glad we found this little cafe as will definitely be visiting here again. Made to feel very welcome, thankyou
Lorraine M — Google review
Loud staff and the space reverberates with the echoes of the staff and patrons . Somehow it feels like the coffee shop was designed for an opera house acoustics. Whilst taking the order , the lady at the counter was very loud , rushing us and not giving us the space to think through the requirement- even though the shop had just opened. Choice of gluten free but loaded with sugar . Coffee is passable. Not that we will be going next time but outside seating is probably better than enduring the cacophony inside. Suggestion to staff - be patient and kind. Otherwise it is a contradiction to the spirit of the Pride flag that you have got there.

Very nice cafe and lovely cakes from Cakesmiths. It will be a good idea to have Internet 😃 Good breakfast menu but not much for lunchtime. No free parking
Gloria S — Google review
Really nice café with great views over the busy harbour. Staff were friendly and food quality was good. The brunch options were, however, a little limited and, if seated upstairs, going downstairs to order food and bring back drinks was a bit of a chore. Nevertheless, a good brunch option.
David S — Google review
Dreadful service at a previously old favourite. We always visit Coast Cafe when visiting Swansea, but last Saturday we left very disappointed. Upon tasting the coffee, it had been made with oat milk - no problem, these things happen when there are lots of jugs by the machine. However when we politely asked if it could be changed, the barista proceeded to argue with us, look on the till to see what it 'should' have been made with, refused to make us a new one and it was all just no, no no. Whatever happened to putting the customer first? Would it not have been easier and cheaper in the long run to just make the coffee rather than lose faithful customers. Shame.
Lucy L — Google review
ridiculously overpriced :/ london prices. and the food and drinks do not justify the prices at all. the matcha is sad and grey and does not taste like matcha. their coffee tastes burned :/ they don’t even have wifi at the cafe. the only saving grace is the staff who provide wonderful service and their almond croissants which are some of the best i’ve ever had.
Khushi — Google review
I've been to Italy, and honestly this here is the best cappuccino I've had in the UK: it reminded me of the brews I had over there. I'm giving 4/5 for atmosphere as I thought it was costal facing but it has a marina view - tbh that's my mistake but other people may assume similarly. either way, great service & exceptional coffee.

Drawing inspiration from the Danish concept of hygge, this spot offers a welcoming atmosphere any time of day. With an emphasis on vegan and vegetarian options, their menu features delights such as vegan shakshuka, miso mushrooms, scrambled tofu brunch, and a delectable vegan pesto and sundried tomato sourdough pizza.
We’ve finally found the perfect coffee spot in Swansea! This dog-friendly place is amazing—they made sure we and our dog felt at home right from the start. The staff is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food is really delicious, you can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love into it. Our dog even got a lot of special treats, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great food, fantastic service, and wants to bring their pet along. We can’t wait to go back! 💕

This was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast. The menu included many unique plant-based offerings, two of which we tried. Both we had never tried elsewhere before: a vegan shakshuka and a vegan tofu scramble on a fresh pretzel bun. The atmosphere and service were great as well. Will definitely look to return on our next visit to Swansea!

We have been coming here for about 2 years. The coffee is super tasty and amazing quality and I cannot describe how delicious the pork cobano is. The amount of meat you get in the sandwich is super generous. The other food also looks insane but we love the pork cobano and have to order it each time. Lovely staff here also, just a great place to eat and drink.

We stayed here for one night while at a nearby event. I understand that the room was fairly reasonably priced and nobody expects "luxury" in a hotel like this, but honestly, I won't be booking a room here again. When we entered, the staff were nice enough, booking us in quickly and letting us know where the room was. We got into the room, flicked the light switches on and only one of the two ceiling lights came on. Flicking the three switches back and forth didn't change anything, the light simply didn't work. Realizing we were going to stay in a partially lit room, we dropped our suitcases, went to the event and came back to sleep. The bed was comfortable with firm pillows, can't fault that. Staying on the fifth floor meant that we couldn't hear much from the city which was great. We woke up and went to the toilet, as you do. I don't know if the pressure was off or anything but the toilet didn't want to flush the waste away. We were just going to have to leave it there. We decided to quickly shower before checking out. I pulled open the shower curtain to a bath with a shower gel dispenser on the wall, which filled me with relief as I had unfortunately forgotten my shower gel at home. No points for guessing that it was empty when I went to use it. Not impressed with the bathroom overall. While I was showering, the other half noticed (as other reviews have) the shoddy paint work on the ceiling, and more concerningly, the fact that our bedding was ripped (photos included). After getting dressed, we decided to try the toilet once again before leaving, and after holding the handle down for a little while, the water started flowing and it emptied! I don't like to think I'm picky when it comes to budget rooms like these ones, but when you consider that there's a Premier Inn literally around the corner with a similar price point, you start to lean towards other companies when booking rooms like this. When we were on our way down in the lift, I wanted to let the receptionist know of our issues, and I decided "If they ask "How was your stay?", I'll tell them my honest thoughts". When we approached the counter to book out, I said "We're here to book out" and the receptionist looked at us and said, with a smile "That's all done for you, bye". Maybe I should have just taken the time to explain myself, but I truly do believe that when it comes to feedback, if you don't ask, you don't get. Thanks for the stay, but unfortunately it will probably be our last.

Room was clean and tidy, was a bit warm. Didn't sleep very well the first night due to the church bells. But I went out and got ear plugs thurs and slept well the next two nights. Would of been nice to have those available and maybe a fan. Only had half a toilet roll when arrived in bathroom and no bathmat. All in all a good 3 nights stay. Close to everything we needed.

Stayed here for just 1 night on a Saturday, as I had some friends visiting who wanted to experience Swansea's famous nightlife. We booked 2 standard plus rooms and the price was fairly reasonable. We checked in with no trouble, the receptionist was very friendly and quickly told us everything we needed to know. Whilst booking online, I noticed that they mentioned that this particular hotel had been completely renovated recently, and I did note that the reception, cafe and bar area looked really great. The room itself however, wasn't particularly impressive, although it was spotless, which really is the most important thing in my opinion. The room set up was pretty much standard, same as you would expect at any Travelodge. However, some of the details seemed pretty haphazard/slapdash considering it was a newly renovated room. I don't wish to be overly critical or picky, but it just seemed a little odd to me that certain things had been done so carelessly. For example, the curtains were falling off the curtain rail, they were only partially hooked on to it, the middle section just sagging down, and there was no knob on the end of the rails to stop the curtains just sliding off entirely when you opened them(?!). Also the bathroom door had no lock whatsoever, which I found peculiar but not a huge problem. The real problem was that the door was so poorly fitted that it didn't engage with the latch on the doorframe when you closed it, so it would just swing right back open again. The only way to keep it closed was to hold it with your foot or to wedge a few towels under it. I don't mind not having a lock, but personally I do expect to have the option of some privacy when using the bathroom. I've never been to any hotel where I couldn't close the bathroom door. The coffee pod machine was a nice little perk that came with a standard plus room. They even provided a couple of decaf coffee pods, so I decided to make use of it once we got back to our room in the early hours. Unfortunately it turned out to be the most insanely loud coffee machine I have ever, ever heard in all my life - The whole counter top started vibrating violently and I was sure you must have been able to hear it two floors down. (Sorry to whoever was staying in those rooms that particular night!) It was so loud that I genuinely panicked and considered pulling the plug since there was no other way to stop it until it was finished.🫣 Genuinely excruciating. But all that said, I still slept really well, the bed was lovely and comfy and the check out time was midday, so I got to relax knowing I could sleep in a little, which is what you want after a late night on the town. Luckily, I woke up just in time to catch breakfast. It was £9.99 per head, which I originally thought was a little expensive, but it turned out to be worth every penny. They had just about anything you could possibly want for breakfast on offer. Bacon, sausages, mushrooms, eggs, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, toast, pancakes, cereals, porridge, yogurts, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, a selection of juices. Just a lovely selection, and all cooked to perfection. All in all, I would happily stay at this hotel again. Although I would probably not bother springing for the standard plus room next time as it was hardly worth paying extra for really.

Good example of Travelodge so you know what your getting. This one is managed well and the rooms were clean and in good order. Hotel doesn't have a car park so you need to use the local city centre one. Hotel is in a good location for the city. Would stay again if in the area. Not Travelodge's issue but the car park is very badly signed and easy to miss. As you pass the hotel on your right. Turn right immediately then look for a quick left. The parking was currently March 2025 £5 for 24 hours. Don't forget to pay and display. But a very short walk to the Hotel.

Had a large room on the top floor when we walked in the room looked great. The bed however was very uncomfortable also when I went to take an extra pillow one was missing a pillow case . Also the usb chargers next to the bed only seem to work when the lights are on .

Unhygienic. The photos of the shower seat in the accessible bathroom say it all. We had two rooms booked and the bathroom in the second room was also unhygienic. Take your own mugs - staff just flick dirty mugs under the bathroom tap and put them back .... complete with coffee stains and dirty spoons!

Good location to visit Swansea City centre and the Grand theatre. Also close to the indoor market. Very close by is St David's multi storey car park where you can park for £5 for 24 hours.

Great pub and restaurant right on Swansea seafront specializing in Thai food, although I ordered chicken and chips due to a coconut allergy. Friendly staff and great service, plus decent prices 👍

Food was alright, went for valentines days. I was expecting it to be better food an environment tbh. I wanted to go cause I’ve heard good comments but I didn’t really loved it!

Great food, piping hot, and served as fast as they could....considering the high demand on the day I visited. Great ale (local and UK wide) & also a varied selection of world and continental lagers, which were very well presented. Very friendly staff who looked like they enjoyed working there...Fantastic views as the name suggested.

Nice staff, decent food and good prices. Won't blow you away but what I had to eat was tasty enough! The rest of the venue (the more pub side of it) seemed pretty decent - a good local pub with a pool table, dartboard, and decent selection of drinks.

Prior to visiting the Swansea Beer Festival we popped into the Bay View for lunch. The Thai meal was excellent and very reasonably priced. For £7.95 (lunch menu) we had a starter and a main. The meal was well presented and very tasty would highly recommend.

Always a fantastic service everytime I either call there or a takeaway. Staff are friendly and bubbley. The BEST🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. The chef is outstanding with her delicious food 🤤🥰. I have tasted a few but I know the numbers I love the best. The atmosphere there is brilliant always coming away from there happy and full. THE BEST THAI FOOD IN SWANSEA!!

Not bad for western Thai. Reasonable priced but not very authentic. Noodles could do with some kind of dressing to stop them sticking in a clump. Food was quite salty also. The restaurant is quite nice and is a good atmosphere, I can’t comment on the rest of the food but the Thai food isn’t the best. Very friendly staff though.

We booked the Bay View as a venue for our wedding reception and it was perfect. Fran (the manager) met with us before the day and accommodated any suggestions or requests that we had, as well as making helpful suggestions to make the day as smooth as possible. We had a lot of things such as decorations/disco lights that required set-up and when we got to the venue everything was in place and looked amazing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful on the day and the service was fantastic. We had a 2 course Thai meal for our day guests (starter, main and tea/coffee service), followed by a buffet for the evening guests, all of the food was great, and the staff accommodated people's requests, for example being able to provide more mild dishes in case a dish was too spicy! The buffet was a mixture of Thai food e.g. satay/spring rolls and sandwiches/pastries. Overall we felt like the venue went above and beyond to make the day as perfect as possible, and we'd highly recommend it as a venue for any party/event. Thank you! Jami & Dan

A shadow of its former self. Swansea is in the middle of a big face-lift but why it has taken so long is any ones guess. Foresight, planning and development are not amongst the strongest qualities of this community.

The shopping centre is great, but the ladies and gent toilets are disgusting it really smells, I used the ladies toilet yesterday on the 1st September 2025, around 1pm, a make cleaner was inside the toilet room, while it was in use, he should have waited for the customers to come out and the clean the toilets, health and hygiene should be more appropriate..

Market
Swansea Indoor Market is a glass-roofed market that offers a wide range of local Welsh produce and diverse items. The market reflects the city's historical significance as a leading port and market town dating back centuries. Despite being destroyed during World War Two, the current building has been standing since 1959, accommodating various stalls selling fine foods, locally reared meats, handmade cheeses, artisan bread, cakes, crafts, and designer jewelry.
A lovely spot located in the town center. We had such a lovely time visiting and browsing all the stalls. There was a great variety of clothes, food, and fresh produce. Would recommend everyone take the time to come visit and support all the local businesses!
Remika — Google review
The hub for Swansea retail life is all here; the best and biggest permanent indoor market in Wales. Independent local producers offer the freshest and best food to be had; bakers, butchers, fishmongers, grocers and so on. There are also many service industry businesses from clothes and shoe alteration/repair, electronic repairs, key cutting, etc etc. Cafés and card shops, newsagents and nail bars, hardware and electronics. I was here for the annual ‘Make Music Day’ singing with the choir

So many good food options and many cute local stalls! Definitely worth and visit and recommend to spend between 1-2 hours at the market alone.

I haven't been for many years and to be honest, it's looking very run down and grubby, much like the rest of Swansea. We had coffee in one of the small cafes which was average at best and expensive. Most of the stall holders we met were very helpful and friendly, something I'm glad to say that hasn't changed.
Paul T — Google review
This is a great indoor market. Sells Welsh produce & lots of other market stalls. A great mix with good prices. Really friendly stall holders. Lovely to look around a traditional market with nice people.

A local market, we were quite surprised by the quality of food, veg and meat. We tried welsh cakes, freshly baked and warm that were a fab match for a coffee. We were there with a baby, there were a few baby changing toilets. Pretty specious that was very helpful with our little one. I really recommend this market, we would not have know about it if one of the locals wouldn't kindly introduced that to us.

Cwtsh Hostel is a budget-friendly accommodation in Swansea that offers excellent service and friendly staff. The hostel is suitable for school trips, with perfect facilities for educational purposes and a large kitchen/lounge area. The rooms are clean, and the location is convenient, with nearby amenities such as restaurants and public transportation. While the pet policy may vary, the hostel does not provide parking. Guests can enjoy free internet access and well-organized kitchen facilities during their stay at Cwtsh Hostel.
Greetings from France ! I stayed about five days Mid October (2024), the Hostel is impeccable, the Staff very efficient , approachable, friendly. What I also observed too, the Staff using the Stairs; demonstrating that they too, have concern in reducing the Energy costs of the Lift, which in turn, benefits everyone... (Unless you're transporting your baggage of course ! ! ) All-in-all; a most pleasant, enjoyable stay ! Thanks to all staff !

The best thing about this hostel is the location and staff. The rest is okay… hygiene could be way better. Take some ear plugs as there’s a couple bars on the other side of the road doing loud music until late. Kitchen an common room is fine. Luggage storage is free.

The hostel is located in the very centre of Swansea. Grocery stores nearby as well as many cafés. There is a spacious kitchen and a common area with comfortable coaches. Wifi is stable and suitable for working. The staff is friendly and attentive. To improve: It was quite dirty especially in the bedroom. As far as I saw, they didn’t clean daily including the bathrooms. The windows in the bedroom cannot be opened fully which makes it really hot inside.

The service at the reception desk is really great. I haven’t given it a 5 star rating because there was a leak in our bathroom, which should at least have been attended to before guest check-in. And we were promised a fan and that never materialized however, I’m grateful that we had our beds reserved.
Thandeka M — Google review
Terrible experience. Understandably I chose the cheapest room: 12 men, tiny bunk. It was just terrible. The first impression was some guy making a huge mess on his bed and having to swap me around. Also some worker/owner was super vulgar and rude as I was waiting for my bed. The room was a steam room. No exaggeration. Impossible to sele
Liam G — Google review
Unfortunately the showers were full of mould. There are curtain poles in front of the beds without curtains, which really sucks in a 12 bed room. The other people in the rooms were really loud (e.g. turned on the bright room light at 12.30 am and talked loudly, then took showers around 2.30am). But thats not the hostels fault.

Had a really enjoyable 1 night stay here. It is what it is. It’s a 3 star accommodation but we couldn’t really fault it. Small double room with en suite was perfect for us. Our room was at the back and very quiet on the whole. Host was very pleasant and lovely to chat to. Anything we wanted he obliged us. Cooked breakfast was very pleasant. Fantastic! A cosy homely feel to this lovely bed and breakfast, owned by an awesome couple whom made me feel at home, so kind and caring, comfortable room with everything I needed including kettle, TV, a shower, all right next to the beach, what more could anybody ask for? The beachcomber is also dog friendly which I'm thrilled about, next time I stay I will bring my dog 🐶 with me and take him for walks along the sea front and marina🙂

I booked for a room same day here for myself and two dogs as urgently seeing family. I quickly was contacted by the owners as I had accidentally booked a really small room. They were very patient as I arrived late and made a very reasonable price for the upgraded room and dogs fee. The accommodation is superb. The room was very comfortable, great amenities including tea, coffee, and biscuits. The bathroom has cleansing water and cotton, a shower chair. TV in the room, and the owners have curated a guide the swansea and the gower including history and places to see. The location is amazing, so close to a pedestrian crossing and right on the beach front, less than 10 mins into swansea centre. Would stay here again without a doubt. The owners are absolutely delightful.

From the moment I walked through the door until the moment that I left nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, always asking was there anything else they could do for me. Breakfast was definitely a winner for me. The rooms are quiet and you could hardly hear any of the other guests. And as I don’t drive they even rung me a taxi to the train station. Will definitely recommend and will be going back again. Keep up the great work
Dan R — Google review
Our group of five motorcyclists had a stay at the Beachcomber Bed and Breakfast and here's our candid review. Beachcomber B&B, set in an older building, has a charm to it. Despite its age, the place is kept clean and provides a simple but comfortable stay. Its prime location right on the beachfront offers guests direct access to the beach, a big plus for sea-lovers. The pricing, at around £50 per night, felt quite reasonable considering what the B&B offers. Breakfast at the Beachcomber was a simple, freshly prepared affair. It might not be for those looking for a gourmet breakfast experience, but it did give us a good start to our day. One aspect that might need considering is the noise level. The B&B is situated close to a rather busy street, which could get quite loud, especially during the day. However, for us, the convenience of the location and the charm of the beachfront view balanced it out. A definite highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality extended by the proprietors. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Overall, we'd give the Beachcomber B&B a solid four-star rating. It provides a comfortable, clean, and simple beachfront stay, with the added bonus of friendly hosts and convenient parking. However, do consider the potential noise from the nearby street. If that's not a deal-breaker for you, then the Beachcomber B&B could be a great fit.

Stayed here for 2 days while visiting someone in prison. Its only 5 minute walk in a straight line so was a perfect match. It was only me and i had a single room which the bed was alongside the window which faced the beach across the road. It was perfect and i spent a nice bit of time just watching out window. Was so lovely too to have window open with the sea air coming in. Slept like a log. Room and toilet down hall but was no problem and the price if the room was so good. The owners were just the nicest people i have met in a long time, the breakfast was outstanding and refills of most things offered frequently. I really felt welcomed and valued. The decor was from older times but being from older times i loved this. I would highly recommended this warm welcoming B and B. Just faultless and will return if need to come again most definatley. Word of advice tho, avoid the black cabs at the train station as they do nothing to promote making tourists welcome. A certain driver was just rude and unfreindly . Use yellow taxis.

Cinema and Co. is a fantastic, relaxing cafe-bar and independent cinema hosted by a warm and principled woman of strong character. The atmosphere is welcoming, the clientele have a diverse range of views and frequently make good conversation. The reputation of the business has been unfairly maligned by a group of people whose criticisms lack understanding or substance. Cinema and Co. is a gem, it has my highest recommendation.

A true hidden gem in the heart of Swansea. Cinema & Co. isn’t just a venue — it’s a sanctuary for creativity, community, and cosmic connection. I had the honour of performing at the Open Mic Poetry Night, and from the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth of the space and the people within it. The atmosphere? Dreamy. Fairy lights, pallet sofas, and walls adorned with vibrant art — it feels like you’ve stepped into a living poem. The bar and café are lovingly curated, with an eclectic, bohemian feel that makes you want to stay all night. And I just might, next time. The people? Inspiring. From the warm welcome at the bar to the beautifully engaged audience, every soul in the room felt like part of something sacred. Huge thanks to Hannah (our radiant host!) for holding such a special space and to everyone who listened, felt, and resonated. If you’re looking for an alternative space that celebrates authentic expression — where art, poetry, music, and soul meet — then this is the place. I left lighter, brighter, and already planning my return. 💫 Diolch o galon, Cinema & Co. This Knight will be back. 🐉✨

This place is so awesome! My partner and I walked by and were immediately pulled in… it looks and feels so magical from the outside, and is even more so when you step in. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere, with so many great events hosted! We only had time to have a couple of delicious hot chocolates, and we chatted with Anna for awhile. She is wonderful and welcoming and clearly puts so much good energy into this place. We will definitely be coming back to experience more next time we’re in Swansea! P.S. we didn’t come in on a night with films, but we peeked into the cinema and it’s so dreamy back there! It’s like everything I wish had existed when I was a teenager, and would be so excited to come here if I was local to Swansea or visiting for a longer period. I wish there were more places like this!

Literary wizardry married sing-song sonic balm at Swansea Cinema's & Co. All revelled in atmospheric environs of its poetry soirée there, where quality and variety were the ardour of the day. Karl and Zen were benevolence itself as co-hosts par excellence. That arty brace shepherded the bohemian crowd with aplomb and then some. Charismatic Maisy ran the bar with elan and a half. Friendship was ascendant as applause soothed our bardic souls at a dazed day's denouement. Mark Lyndon

Still a really special beach. Middle of a city, yet gives you solitude, huge, and most of the time its only yours. The tide runs in and out hundreds of meters, prepares the best playground twice a day.
Robert S — Google review
Calm, Quiet, sunny beach. With small restaurants just at the end of the beach. It was so beautiful to perform a little exercise on the beach. Old couples are happily walking with their pets. Extremely friendly atmosphere and would love to stay permanently. One must spend 1 week vacation in this city. I had traveled till Mumbles which another beautiful quartier in Swansea. Thanks to my Son who is working in Spectsaver.

First impressions of my showroom appointment - time put aside I felt i was the only priority, not pushy at all, took the time to find out my needs and wants. No selling, just supportive advice and guidance.
Lynnette S — Google review
Schmidt designed a bedroom for us. Esther was absolutely lovely and it was more like a chat with a friend over a cup of tea. She listened attentively and was happy to make endless tweaks to suit us. It was a difficult room, but Essy packed in a whole host of design features which made the most of the space available, and suggested things which were practical and helpful. We were thrilled with the final design, colour and choices available. Thanks Essy!

I used Schmidt for my bedroom furniture, I was really impressed with the fantastic design of my new bedroom. The quality is excellent and really surpasses the quality of my other bedroom furniture in other rooms. They created matching bespoke dressing table, headboard, drawer unit, a couple of shelving units, bedside tables, a linen cupboard, and three wardrobes, one of which has a pull out shelf for my kettle, all of which match and are handleless. I was so impressed that I have ordered a new utility room with them. Having seen their showroom and products I expected them to be much more expensive, but they were competitive and I'm delighted to have such good quality at a similar price to other brands. Highly recommend !

Schmidt Swansea designed our new kitchen and we couldn’t be happier. From the first meeting Geraint made us feel completely at ease, more like catching up with a friend than sitting down for a design consultation! He really listened to what we needed (and what we didn’t even realise we needed), and was endlessly patient with all our little changes along the way. Our space was a bit awkward, but Geraint worked his magic and came up with a layout that made everything feel open, calm, and super practical. He had great ideas we’d never have thought of, like including a pop up charging socket and adding lighting in just the right spots. The final design is stunning, and the colour choices were spot on. Honestly, we still smile every time we walk into the room. Thank you, Geraint, you made what felt like a big project feel easy and exciting from start to finish!

Jon Healings and his team are welcoming, friendly and customer oriented. Jon visited and asked about how the kitchen was used before presenting his suggestions. Several different designs led the way thoughtfully to the one chosen. The fitting by Jack Pettifer and his team went smoothly and I am delighted with the end product which is modern, functional, and of the highest build standard. I recommend Schmidt Swansea wholeheartedly.
