1Swansea Indoor Market

Market
Swansea Indoor Market is a glass-roofed market that offers a wide range of local Welsh produce and diverse items. The market reflects the city's historical significance as a leading port and market town dating back centuries. Despite being destroyed during World War Two, the current building has been standing since 1959, accommodating various stalls selling fine foods, locally reared meats, handmade cheeses, artisan bread, cakes, crafts, and designer jewelry.
A lovely spot located in the town center. We had such a lovely time visiting and browsing all the stalls. There was a great variety of clothes, food, and fresh produce. Would recommend everyone take the time to come visit and support all the local businesses!
Remika — Google review
The hub for Swansea retail life is all here; the best and biggest permanent indoor market in Wales. Independent local producers offer the freshest and best food to be had; bakers, butchers, fishmongers, grocers and so on. There are also many service industry businesses from clothes and shoe alteration/repair, electronic repairs, key cutting, etc etc. Cafés and card shops, newsagents and nail bars, hardware and electronics. I was here for the annual ‘Make Music Day’ singing with the choir
Simon C — Google review
So many good food options and many cute local stalls! Definitely worth and visit and recommend to spend between 1-2 hours at the market alone.
Ann A — Google review
I haven't been for many years and to be honest, it's looking very run down and grubby, much like the rest of Swansea. We had coffee in one of the small cafes which was average at best and expensive. Most of the stall holders we met were very helpful and friendly, something I'm glad to say that hasn't changed.
Paul T — Google review
This is a great indoor market. Sells Welsh produce & lots of other market stalls. A great mix with good prices. Really friendly stall holders. Lovely to look around a traditional market with nice people.
RJ H — Google review
Nice local market with variety of foods to buy.
Shayan K — Google review
A local market, we were quite surprised by the quality of food, veg and meat. We tried welsh cakes, freshly baked and warm that were a fab match for a coffee. We were there with a baby, there were a few baby changing toilets. Pretty specious that was very helpful with our little one. I really recommend this market, we would not have know about it if one of the locals wouldn't kindly introduced that to us.
Mona F — Google review
Fabulous place to visit. Loved walking around, looking at the diverse range of goods for sale. Everyone was so friendly... and Jaspy got so many strokes. Yes, the market is dog friendly.!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Swansea, Bay View Bar & Thai Dining is a charming establishment that perfectly blends a lively bar atmosphere with an inviting Thai dining experience. With its spacious dining room offering stunning views of the iconic Mumbles Lighthouse, this venue is ideal for those looking to enjoy delicious cuisine while soaking in picturesque scenery. The diverse menu features an array of authentic Thai dishes, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.
Great pub and restaurant right on Swansea seafront specializing in Thai food, although I ordered chicken and chips due to a coconut allergy. Friendly staff and great service, plus decent prices 👍
Lisa M — Google review
Food was alright, went for valentines days. I was expecting it to be better food an environment tbh. I wanted to go cause I’ve heard good comments but I didn’t really loved it!
Maria 1 — Google review
Great food, piping hot, and served as fast as they could....considering the high demand on the day I visited. Great ale (local and UK wide) & also a varied selection of world and continental lagers, which were very well presented. Very friendly staff who looked like they enjoyed working there...Fantastic views as the name suggested.
Leighton W — Google review
Nice staff, decent food and good prices. Won't blow you away but what I had to eat was tasty enough! The rest of the venue (the more pub side of it) seemed pretty decent - a good local pub with a pool table, dartboard, and decent selection of drinks.
Iestyn D — Google review
Prior to visiting the Swansea Beer Festival we popped into the Bay View for lunch. The Thai meal was excellent and very reasonably priced. For £7.95 (lunch menu) we had a starter and a main. The meal was well presented and very tasty would highly recommend.
Nigel J — Google review
Always a fantastic service everytime I either call there or a takeaway. Staff are friendly and bubbley. The BEST🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. The chef is outstanding with her delicious food 🤤🥰. I have tasted a few but I know the numbers I love the best. The atmosphere there is brilliant always coming away from there happy and full. THE BEST THAI FOOD IN SWANSEA!!
Bethan J — Google review
Not bad for western Thai. Reasonable priced but not very authentic. Noodles could do with some kind of dressing to stop them sticking in a clump. Food was quite salty also. The restaurant is quite nice and is a good atmosphere, I can’t comment on the rest of the food but the Thai food isn’t the best. Very friendly staff though.
Tim ( — Google review
We booked the Bay View as a venue for our wedding reception and it was perfect. Fran (the manager) met with us before the day and accommodated any suggestions or requests that we had, as well as making helpful suggestions to make the day as smooth as possible. We had a lot of things such as decorations/disco lights that required set-up and when we got to the venue everything was in place and looked amazing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful on the day and the service was fantastic. We had a 2 course Thai meal for our day guests (starter, main and tea/coffee service), followed by a buffet for the evening guests, all of the food was great, and the staff accommodated people's requests, for example being able to provide more mild dishes in case a dish was too spicy! The buffet was a mixture of Thai food e.g. satay/spring rolls and sandwiches/pastries. Overall we felt like the venue went above and beyond to make the day as perfect as possible, and we'd highly recommend it as a venue for any party/event. Thank you! Jami & Dan

One Shoe Cafe, located in King Edward's Road, is a hidden gem in Swansea. This family-run coffee shop offers a cozy atmosphere and a great selection of sandwiches and paninis. The cafe is known for its high-quality coffee and variety of drinks, including delicious iced coffees. Their homemade brownies are particularly popular, with flavors like Crunchie, M&M, Malteser, salted caramel, and cookie dough.
My fave cafe in swansea! Owners are always friendly and the food is so yum
KeriCat — Google review
Incredible, if you want lunch this is the place. Panini and a coffee for £7 and it’s amazing. Try the brownies too they’re baked fresh everyday!
Ethan D — Google review
I’ve been here few times now, and every time quality is the same (GREAT) They use great quality products, pastrami is amazing tasteful and they always put so generous amount of meat in the sandwich by far the best sandwiches in Swansea. Thank you x
Maria 1 — Google review
Great cafe. Had a lovely breakfast bap with sausage bacon & cheese. Plus some lovely cakes.
Linda W — Google review
Lovely little place in Brynmill, my friend and I went here on Saturday for their infamous brownies but the counter was empty! So we had a panini each, you can't fault their meal deal for the panini, crisps and soft drink. Lovely staff, not much seating but plenty for the size of the café. The only negative is being there around midday, with the cakes sold out (obvs a good sign that they're nice). Although a shame if you can't make it early! We will have to try again!
Kristy R — Google review
Top quality food, very reasonable with terrific service and lovely staff. Thank you!
Richard W — Google review
Absolutely amazing cafe. The food is all brilliant, and there is a great selection of different sandwiches and panini, so there is something for everyone. The coffee is really good quality, and there is a good range of different drinks available; the iced coffees are particularly good. There is also always a great selection of homemade sweet treats, including some of the best brownies I’ve ever had. The cafe itself is cosy, and the outdoor seating is perfect for on a sunny day. The service is always so good, and all the staff are really welcoming and friendly. There is always a lovely atmosphere, and there is always great music playing in the background. I would highly recommend One Shoe Cafe to anyone visiting Swansea. Its location also makes it a perfect lunch/breakfast spot for students living near Singleton.

The River House is a charming family-run restaurant located in an old Victorian building on the banks of the River Tawe in Swansea. With over 30 years of experience, owners John and Jane are dedicated to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for their guests. The restaurant offers stunning views of the river from its beautiful garden terrace. Situated in the vibrant SA1 waterfront area, The River House serves up seasonal cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients.
I celebrated my birthday here. Splendid view as it was located just beside the river. Requested to write Happy Birthday on dessert plate and the service was more than that I expected. The chef even made a bonfire on the dessert plate 🤩🤩🤩 soo beautiful.
Bonnie C — Google review
I attended a 40th birthday celebration at this restaurant. They were happy to hide a birthday cake we brought and present it when we were ready. As we were such a large party, the adults had to pre-order with a non refundable deposit of £10 each and the children ordered on the night. The staff were great with our demands and so attentive with the children, much appreciated. The food was delicious. Having had the Goats cheese starter followed by the sea bass, I couldn't fault them. Vanilla cheesecake for dessert with just enough compote to not be too bland, it was nice. They take card and cash payments and are patient enough to sift through a large bill as we all paid separately. They had a well stocked bar with something for everyone. £5.70 for a single Parma violet gin with lemonade. More than enough bar staff to tend a busy bar area. Would eat here again.
Dana M — Google review
This restaurant was so picturesque at night, made even more so by the lights and the surrounding water. I would say this is a perfect date night spot. It was virtually empty when we went but the service was immaculate. Although the food was presented beautifully, the flavours and textures didn’t wow me, however I would come again if I ever decide to revisit the city.
Trevelle — Google review
Had my 18th birthday meal here. Amazing service everyone was very welcoming. The syaff were very attentive. The food was delicious I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We will be back.
Millie F — Google review
One of the best steaks Ive ever had! It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The peppercorn sauce with the steak was also exquisite. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere right by the river. I would absolutely recommend.
Alpacapus — Google review
It was our first visit here and we had a brilliant evening. The food (sirloin steak, seafood linguine, cheesy garlic bread and Eton Mess dessert) was all absolutely delicious and the service spot on. Great setting overlooking the beautiful waterfront and a really relaxed atmosphere made for a fantastic meal. Wish I lived closer to visit more, but we'll absolutely be back as soon as possible 🙏😍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

My husband booked here for my birthday meal, high expectations as a number of friends had recommended this place for Sunday lunch. On arrival, we were told no booking had been made - and told we must have called the Scotland restaurant (even though we showed the lady 01792......). Anyway, was rectified by the manager who manages to sit all of us at a table. Food was lovely, really good. I went for the beef, as they'd run out of lamb. It was good, potatoes, Yorkshire, sauces all lovely. Started with calamari, to be honest had much better. Service was very slow, granted a busy day, but still really slow. Wait staff were amazing, couldn't do enough. Will definitely return, but not in a huge rush!
Kristy R — Google review
If you’re staying at the premier inn on the water front please go and visit this amazing place .The food is outstanding and the price. We travel up from Brighton to see my son who is studying in Swansea and I have never had such an amazing dinner. Thank you for a wonderful evening before we travel home . We will definitely come again when we visit ❤️

Uplands Diner is a popular spot among students in Swansea, offering a variety of affordable breakfast options such as Builders Load, Uplands Special, and Diners Delight. Cheap and cheerful, the place to go if you want a hearty meal without spending too much. Staff friendly and helpful. Can't complain about anything for the price they charge.
Ollie A — Google review
Great diner for a quality breakfast...absolutely massive. Great menu for lunch, love this place.
Karl M — Google review
I had the "healthy habit" with very fishy tasting brown edged salmon. The avocado was brown and blimey (I am aware it goes brown quick but should not be slimey) the rocket had seen better days and the poached eggs had gone cold whilst being snotty. Not once did anyone ask why I only took 2 bites and pushed it aside. I used to love the food here but hadn't been for some years. I'm afraid, I won't be back
Alex P — Google review
This place is amazing value for money. The food was good and generous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. The photo is of my husbands Niger with cheese bacon etc. huge!
Austin B — Google review
Nothing not to like about this place quality food great the portion sizes are plenty with excellent fast service with a great price point. Well worth a visit.
Mr D — Google review
Been coming to uplands diner for many moons.. never fails to deliver a superb breakfast or anything else you order from their most excellent menu, they have a halal section of foods too which shows how organized and up to date they are... the only reason I don't give 5 stars is that i can never gurantee to get a table as they are usually super busy which says all you need to know really... Will be back again and again even though I'm clean eating.. And yes they do healthier options than your regular breakfast.. you could have avocado with poached eggs for example to a Welsh breakfast with lava bread and cockles... thinking about it more I should really give 5 stars...
Andy C — Google review
Ordered on just eat and they kept pushing the delivery time back no answer on there phone line in the end had to cancel as we waited 3 hours. That terrible service. used to order here before in the past with no issue so I’m not sure what’s changed but it isn’t good.
Silver R — Google review
There was a time when this place was one of the best. Just had some questionable corn beef pie. Pastry looked under cook with a texture and look of plasticine. Some of the potato pieces were grey in colour, like it was made with potatoes that had been peeled and left for a few hours. Never seen such a bad corn beef pie.

Truffle is a charming restaurant in Swansea, known for its Mediterranean-style dishes with global influences. Run by Jodie Haynes and Jon Cox, it has garnered praise from various sources, including a review by renowned TV personality Giles Coren. The restaurant offers great value for money and a warm ambiance, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. Customers have raved about the delicious food, friendly staff, and overall dining experience at Truffle.
Amazing menu with a lot of different flavours. Their three course deal is a really good price with generous portions. Also, the service is really attentive, and the staff are super kind. Would recommend! Best dish was definitely the cannelloni to start - so cheesy!
Cerys J — Google review
Went here for the first time yesterday evening and we were incredibly impressed. It was their new autumn menu and every starter, main and dessert was absolutely delicious and well cooked. Highlights include the gnocchi mushroom starter - was the best gnocchi I have ever tried (I don’t usually like gnocchi too much) and the flavours were balanced so well. Also the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake - it is the nicest cheesecake we have ever eaten. It’s not overly sweet or artificial tasting, it’s very light and creamy. The chocolate brownie was gooey, not dry. Honestly 10/10 on the menu, there is something for everyone even for fussier eaters like myself. Service was great all night, and all the staff were lovely from the chef to the waiters. I can’t wait to return in the future.
Lowri M — Google review
While the food, staff team and ambience was good, we were a bit disappointed that even though some starter and dessert options were sold out we were not able to reduce to 2 courses. It is also only set menu.
Serena R — Google review
I honestly cannot recommend this place enough! The customer service was exceptional, every member of the wait staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our experience memorable. As for the food, all I can say is wow. We visited on Mother's Day and opted for the special menu, which did not disappoint. Every course was a fantastic, and I would honestly give each one a 10/10. The tomato soup and apple crumble in particular were definite highlights for me, but every dish we had was absolutely delicious. Overall, we had an incredible experience and will definitely be returning.

We had an absolutely fantastic evening at Truffle Swansea last night! Our group of 14 women booked in for their 3 course evening menu, and every single one of us left with full bellies and huge smiles. From the warm, attentive service to the great atmosphere and beautifully presented, delicious food, everything was spot on. We truly can’t recommend Truffle highly enough. If you're in Swansea, this is THE restaurant to book!

Been meaning to come here ever since my partner and I moved to Swansea just over a year ago. So happy we weren't disappointed. Honestly one of the best meals we've had in the city. The restaurant is lovely, lots of space between tables which is nice, the service is so welcoming and friendly and the food, very reasonably priced and delicious. Highly recommend, and it's BYO on some drinks to boot. Thank you for a lovely evening.

On a whim, the two of us went to Truffle during the week and found a table available in 10 minutes. It took a bit longer, but the service and food were both very good. The 3-course menu for £29/person is a good way to have a good experience without breaking the bank, and every single dish was noteworthy.

Hiks in Swansea is a standout dining spot with an outstanding owner who provides exceptional service. The food is described as amazing, with generous portions and delicious flavors that everyone enjoyed. The restaurant offers parking and outdoor seating, adding to its appeal. Customers praise the fluffy yet crispy chips and commend the friendly staff. The menu includes excellent fish and chips, as well as other tasty options. Overall, Hiks maintains high-quality standards and is definitely worth a visit for a delightful dining experience in Swansea.
Nice place this lovely fish and chips. Massive curry sauce. Friendly staff and good value for money. Nice to be able to sit in and eat, isn't many chip shops like that anymore, top marks
Jamie G — Google review
Edit: Thanks for replying Hiks! However, it's just a review, I am not going to single out a staff member for them to be reprimanded. You even get 5 stars for the food! Not my go to chippy these days, I found better value portions, but I decided to go in passing for convenience after the rugby! I was pleased to find the portions of chips are back to a decent size, and are comparable to others in the area. Large chips means large chips again. Good quality battered sausage, too, much better than many others. The only downside from the visit was the speed of service. The food is fresh, so a wait is expected, fair. I didn't even order fish and people served after me left before me! But, the biggest bugbear is asking for LOADS of salt n vinegar and barely getting any... Do it myself next time! Tight! That sucks! I would go back, hopefully the staff aren't so sullen whenever I visit next! It's not like it was understaffed, or particularly busy!
Simon P — Google review
Excellent fish and chips from the Frier in the flat cap. Very busy on Wednesday when we called in on way to football. The three of us were last in the queue but were promised fresh fish if we waited. We did and the resulting food was well fried, not under cooked and not dripping in oil. One of the best on our away trips this season. Charlie and football friends.
Charlie N — Google review
Really disappointing fish & chips. Usually have fish and chips from here and they have been fantastic but today it was awful the batter was chewy and difficult to chew/swallow which really took the pleasure out of the fish. Such a shame when you buy x4 fish & chips and all are the same hopefully was just a bad day but it’s unlikely I will return as it’s an expensive chippy tea when you can barely chew through the batter on fish!
Rachel P — Google review
Me and my sister regularly come here, it was my partners turn to try. I've just gobbled the best chips in my life, the fishcake was insane. I am please to say the baby even enjoyed, for almost 3 months pregnant thats saying something. The delivery driver was actually decent and not like those arrogant ones... We will be popping by and having this chippy tea in style. Btw Curry Sauce was unique and different better than chippy down by mums we go to now and then! I am literally jumping for joy over this order. My partner will be too! Thank you Hiks for a wonderful service and exceptional food, I am always nosey and I got much pleasure and laughter to the "Karen" reviews and the replies are just perfect. You go Hiks! Whoop whoop!
Annie H — Google review
We used to love Hiks and, were a regular customer there. But, now the food is so expensive, also the portion and quality been significantly reduced. And, we brought a large cod but, when I opened the boxes I didn't know if the cod was small, large, or medium. I was confused, I would've never have expected for the portion of the food to decrease this much..Almost £10 for a piece of cod that had barely any batter.
Hussain A — Google review
Good local fish and chip shop. Cleaner and larger than most other fish and chip shops. Always have reasonably good food. Fish is always good.
George D — Google review
Strange service here. Could see from our seats in the restaurant that people ordering take-aways were served instantly, as one would expect. However, restaurant customers wait until counter sales are processed. Despite paying much more. Only ordered sausage beans and chips x2. Waited 25 minutes: sufficient time to present warm food. Sadly, it was lukewarm at best

I really liked the place and the location. Plus the staff were really friendly especially to our dog. They gave the dog treats so it was very welcoming. Love the mermaids holding the balcony up on the outside of the building. Ooooh and the bathroom is pretty cool too so I took a pic.

Miniscule serving sizes. Each of the grilled chicken mains in the pictures below cost £16.50. Two and a half new potatoes is outrageous. We thought we had ordered from the kid's menu accidentally. Additionally, we were seated by a locked staff door which kept rattling. There seemed to be a washing machine on behind it which we could hear and feel vibrating the table.

We all enjoyed a delicious breakfast sitting outside in the warm sunshine. Very dog friendly and Terry looked after us so well. He was attentive, thoughtful and kept our younger guest entertained in between looking after everyone else. What a lovely place. Great music. Felt like we were on holiday overseas. So chilled. Could have stayed there all day! Will be back 🌻

Lovely food and a great fenced outdoor space. Service was excellent, even with the staff having to go across the road to get food and drinks.

All dietary needs catered for admirably. I contacted them in advance and they sent me a customised menu so that I knew exactly what I might have , from no dairy, through no gluten to no garlic. Great , friendly staff too. Highly recommend for a treat dinner.

Stopped in at 12:30 for coffees and light bites after having had a big hotel breakfast as one often does when travelling. Lovely welcome and service and great quality food. An enormous selection on the menu! They were very relaxed about us ordering what we wanted from anywhere on the menu. Lovely view, nice vibe. Would come back.

Lovely fish and chips lunch after crab fish cakes and mushrooms with sourdough starters (the mushrooms were especially delicious). Very dog friendly, with nice friendly but professional service. Don’t let the roadwork noise out you off, you can’t hear it much inside.

I visited the Mermaid Bar and Restaurant for the first time this evening, after many a recommendation. It certainly lived up to its expectations. The venue itself was beautiful, the welcome was amazing, the cleanliness, the atmosphere was spot on. We were seated, and then had the best customer services from both waiters and the waitress or shift this evening. So helpful, polite and friendly. We felt really welcome. The menu had great choices, loads gluten free which was brilliant and when the food came it was well presented and delicious. What a lovely experience and we will be back with friends very soon. Well done! Amazing restaurant. Hayley and Joanna x

Langland's Brasserie is a glass-fronted restaurant, cafe, and bar with a terrace that offers modern dishes, many of which feature local seafood. Situated right on the beach in Langland Bay, this fine dining establishment is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The menu showcases delectable mains such as moules frites and Langlands fish and chips, along with desserts like tiramisu and rum baba made from fresh local ingredients whenever possible.
The food is awesome. I have ordered King prawns in starters which is good, in mains Inorder Supreme chicken which delicious 🤤😋. The ambience is very cool and it just one step from sea shore with a beautiful view. -----07/05/2025------- I had been to this restaurant again on a sunny day. Had a great time with my team on the beach then we went to the restaurant has couple of beers and ordered Welsh Lamb Rump, and half chicken with asparagus, fish fry taste is also nice with mayonnaise. The taste was very nice, they gave some sause I don't remember the name, but it was very tasty with lamb. Note: I believe menu will be changing frequently, i was looking for the dish which I had 10 months ago but it was not there. But anyway I enjoyed the food and the location.

We really love this little gem on Langland bay! Have had breakfast here, which was great and this time we had very tasty Sunday lunch, and very tasty it was indeed! Massive portions (thankfully we did not have any starters), big portion of lamb, massive Yorkshire pudding, huge jug of extra gravy and lovely vegetable and cauliflower and cheese sides. Staff is very attentive and service has been great! Beautiful views overlooking the bay, if u have pets u can sit on the patio, car park right at the back. Toilets really clean. And finally the cakes they have look and taste amazing! Absolutely must visit,

Update (second visit): Tues – 5⭐️: Excellent service and food. Thurs – 2⭐️: Sadly, a complete contrast. Ate on the bar side this time — same prices, different vibe. Service felt disinterested, with staff more focused on their phones than guests. Also food not to same standard. I fed this back to the shift manager, hopefully it helps them bring consistency between teams. Original 5⭐️ review below: Absolutely 5⭐ for food and service — as long as you don’t mind paying for quality! Great choice of wines, beers and cocktails. Visited on a Tuesday evening — not too busy, but still a nice buzz with several tables in. Service: 5/5 Warm welcome and even asked which table I’d like (big thumbs up). Waitress was friendly, attentive and really knew the menu, with great recommendations. Food: 5/5 • Starter: Fresh mussels in tomato, garlic and herb sauce — delicious, only one closed mussel out of many. • Main: Sirloin steak with thick-cut chips and salad. Quality cut, cooked medium-rare to perfection. Peppercorn sauce a little salty, but a minor note. • Dessert: Autumn berry bake with clotted cream and white chocolate — OMG! Bursting with flavour and perfectly balanced. Best dessert I’ve had in ages. Atmosphere: 5/5 Relaxed background music, welcoming vibe and staff who make you feel genuinely valued. Overall: Excellent experience. Don’t complain it’s expensive — if you don’t like great food and great service, stick to Harvester! 😅

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Langland’s Brasserie is a real gem right on the beach in Swansea. The location couldn’t be better – a large terrace with beautifully set tables and big sunshades, and inside you sit at elegant tables with a stunning panoramic view of the sea through the glass front. We loved the big daily menu where the dishes that sell out are simply crossed off – to us, that’s a sign of truly fresh ingredients and seasonal cooking. The service was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout. The food was excellent – full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. All in all, a fantastic spot with great food and outstanding service. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent fixed price lunch, both our meals were delicious. The lamb was melt in the mouth and the fish pie had the right amount of fish to potato and the sauce of perfect consistency. The view is always amazing, hard to beat this beach side restaurant.

Visited this restaurant last night a table of 9. We had paid for 3 hours parking and had to leave without having a dessert because the service was so slow. We waited over 40 minutes for drinks and then a further 30 minutes to take out food order. Eventually we had our main meal but had to leave immediately as the time was up on the car park. The only thing they were quick with was the bill!

We went here for my wife’s birthday whilst on holiday in the Gower. It was a Monday so very quiet. The service as we entered was friendly and kind, especially towards my young daughter. We sat by the window overlooking a castle. We ordered a variety of food including some amazing chicken wings and fish tacos. There was ample vegetarian options and a kids menu. My daughter had the mac n cheese. The food came promptly and was tasty. It’s what you would expect at most Turtle Bays. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was easy to talk and feel calm. Highly recommended if you like Caribbean food.

Absolutely outstanding bottomless brunch!! The food was excellent 👌 The whole place was spotless 👌 The atmosphere was excellent and so good yesterday, we are returning to do it all again today!!! Our biggest tip we've ever given was to the amazing barmaid Hannah !! What an absolute legend!! We NEVER ran out of drinks, she was very welcoming, Lovely to chat to and very honest. We went here on a Friday night and the place was not busy. However the service was poor from the begining as we waited a long while for the drinks to arrive and also the waiters delivered the wrong drinks/food to our table multiple times, confusing our table with another's nearby. We ordered two small plates and although named small plates we were shocked at how small for the price, especially the pork belly (£8.2) with us barley recieving four snack sized pieces. We also ordered the goat curry which again was small for the price. We also did not get given any indivual plates to eat off of, only the small bowls that the food came in. The food itself did taste very nice and the Carribbean beer was very refreshing. However the great tasting food did not make up for the poor service and small portions. Would not recommend.

Stopped here with friends for a light lunch yesterday, and although I was a bit disappointed there were no sandwiches on the menu, I had the pancakes with fried egg, bacon and maple syrup, which was delicious. Our waiter - Jack M, I think it said on the receipt - was also brilliant, so helpful and friendly too. Please pass on our thanks for a job well done.

We visited late afternoon on a Saturday. Staff milling about but not many tables in. A nice hello from the front desk and we were shown to a table. We were drawn by the pizza oven, and it is sat in a small open kitchen. Whilst we had an alright drink and the food was average, this could have been so much better. We were asked about drinks nice and quickly, but they sat on the bar, waiting for a server to bring them over, but they were busy chatting to each other. Olives and bread were ordered to nibble on, the olives forgotten. Three pizza and a ribs were ordered, two of the pizza bottoms were burnt. The waitress didn't know what food she was bringing out, and really didn't care either, it was funny to her. No one asked if our food was alright after getting it. It frustrates me when simple things make an experience bad. Poorly trained staff who don't know or care (which was worse) what the dishes are and are standing around chatting whilst there are customers who need looking after. It's not cheap to eat or drink here, and there is plenty of competition to choose from, would I go back again? Probably not. Could BrewStone be amazing, yes it really could.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Pump House, a Marston’s pub, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable pub experiences I’ve had in quite some time. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted warmly by Gib, who looked after our table throughout the evening. His professionalism, friendliness, and genuine enthusiasm really set the tone for a relaxed and welcoming visit. The pub itself has a fantastic atmosphere—spacious, clean, and inviting, with just the right mix of traditional charm and modern touches. It’s clearly well looked after, and the staff take pride in maintaining a comfortable environment for guests. Whether you’re popping in for a casual drink or settling down for a meal, The Pump House manages to strike that perfect balance between being lively and laid-back. The food was excellent, with hearty pub classics served hot, fresh, and full of flavour. The menu had plenty of choice, and everything we tried was generously portioned and good value for money. Drinks, too, were well kept—my pint was perfectly pulled, and the selection behind the bar had something for everyone. What really elevated the evening, though, was the service from Gib. Attentive without being intrusive, he made sure we had everything we needed and added a personal touch with friendly conversation and genuine care. It’s rare these days to come across someone who clearly takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome, but Gib absolutely did just that. Overall, The Pump House is a fantastic pub, made even better by the outstanding service. I’ll certainly be returning soon and recommending it to friends and family.

Pre booked a table for Father’s Day, took a while to get my partner and all children out the door and down to the pump house for a Sunday lunch for Father’s Day, on arriving it was ridiculously busy and although I’d booked online a few days prior I was still told that a big party of 13 have just arrived and due to that our food would be a 40 minute wait which wasn’t mentioned whilst booking which would of been great to know when having to bring 4 hungry children out for a meal. When food did eventually arrive we had no cutlery food was freezing cold on arrival and the Yorkshire puddings just looked wet and soggy. Absolutely disgusting meal, kids would hardly touch the food absolutely vile and inedible, veg was partially cooked the beef was a choking hazard to my children as it was so tough. Also we were placed next to a big party of screaming crying children being really badly misbehaved and running under our table, the parents nor staff did nothing about this, 100000% would not recommend, do not go to this place

I can use a word to sum up this restaurant- Class ! Called in on Easter Saturday for the lunch menu ( £15.95 for two courses) The food was excellent. We had poppadoms and chutney to begin, then starters of spicy chicken and onion bhajis, mains of chicken tikka wrap ( with chips) and chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice. Every dish was first class. The restaurant itself is very nicely furnished and the staff we encountered were great. Special mention for Raz, who had a great sense of humour and pulled a great pint of Cobra Highly recommended !

Rasoi in Swansea is a must visit, offering a truly exceptional dining experience! We started with the Chicken Jalfrezi, which was perfectly spiced and wonderfully rich. We paired it with the Bread Platter, and the variety offered was really good, with fresh, warm breads that were the perfect accompaniment. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Lucknow Chicken Biryani. It was absolutely delicious, fragrant, tender, and an absolute standout dish. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience very pleasant. The only slight disappointment was the tea; it wasn't really that great. Despite this minor point, the incredible food and service compensated for it.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Greeted by a super friendly front of house, shown yo our table. Stunning decor and views over the beach. Excellent table service, so efficient. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend.

One of the three eateries under the same management in Swansea, The Secret - Beach Bar & Kitchen is located on the beach and boasts wonderful views. Seating is available outside and of course, inside the eatery. There is ample parking available. On a clear summer evening sitting outside is always advisable. Once you’ve been allotted a place to sit, service is prompt. On holidays and special days, it can be very crowded so it’s advisable to be prepared to wait your turn. The food served is wholesome and the actual presentation, good. But that all depends on what you order. They offer a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. So, if you are looking for a place to spend some quality time with your family or friends and wish to be by the beach, there’s no better place within the city, than the Secret. Go for it.

Great location & view. Order by QR code but would be nicer to be offered a physical menu. Service is ok but no follow up to check how the food was and if everything is ok. A bit on the pricey side. Shame there’s no alternative restaurant/bar along the beach. There’s no competition at all so why would they make an effort to improve the quality of their food and service?

I ordered the French toast with yoghurt, berries, and granola, while my partner had the Welsh breakfast. Mine was absolutely delicious - no complaints at all, which says a lot coming from me! My partner really enjoyed his too. Both dishes were well presented and arrived at the same time. The only slight downside for me was the portion size. I was still a bit hungry afterwards if I’m honest and ended up stopping somewhere else on the way to my next destination to fill up a little more. A slightly larger portion, maybe two slices or an optional side (more fruit.. a banana perhaps) would have made it perfect. I would recommend and will return.

We visited here last night before the Skindred concert in the Patti Pavilion and it was absolutely fantastic! We've had breakfast here once before and that was equally great too. The steak was cooked beautifully and the peppercorn sauce and chips were delicious. We both also enjoyed our puddings, which was tiramisu and my partner had the chocolate brownie. Absolutely fantastic, great drinks, and Harry was a great server, very chatty and attentive - 5 stars for him! We'll be back!

Off to the side is their Takeaways booth which serves iced and hot drinks. Staff was super helpful in explaining their drinks. Many people at the Beach Bar and Kitchen. We stopped at the Takeaway walking to Bumbles. I had an iced coffee and spouse had an iced mocha. Great day for a pleasant walk. Sorry I couldn’t get a better photo.

We recently visited on Mother’s Day and had a great time! Kyle, who served us, was incredibly nice and friendly making us feel welcome from the moment we all walked in. Delicious food very good portions which are very filling, everything was perfect with the food and the atmosphere, didn’t have to wait long for each course. Overall, the service was excellent the food was great.

Lovely, hot food with a great variety of different options. Authentic Italian cuisine. Pasta was really tasty however portion sizes on small side (plenty of pasta but added chicken only a few pieces and not a breast as expected). Overall expensive for what you get. Salad was nearly £5 with about 50p worth of salad. Pizza was excellent. Service very good and lovely customer service which is always welcomed. Children’s menu a particular plus and fantastic value.

Gallinis Italian Restaurant is a charming brasserie located by Swansea Marina, offering a picturesque waterfront dining experience. The restaurant boasts a menu featuring classic Italian pasta, contemporary Welsh dishes, and freshly caught seafood like shark and lobster. With over a decade of establishment, it has garnered a loyal customer base and an excellent reputation in Swansea. Guests can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere with subtle Italian music playing in the background while savoring delicious and reasonably priced meals served by friendly staff.
Having been recommended by Amy at Morgan's Hotel we decided to try Gallinis Restaurant. I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise as it is over the bridge just past the Pump House, but very glad we did. The staff were attentive from the moment we came up the stairs, it had a good atmosphere and from most tables you can view the waterfront. They had a set menu with a good number of choices or a specials board with again lots to choose from. I had the caprese salad and spaghetti & meatballs from the set menu and my partner had the mussels and the mixed grilled fish from the specials board...all the dishes were well presented and very tasty. We had cheesecake & the Tiramisu for desert, again very tasty. Finished off with a complementary Lemoncello. A lovely evening, definitely recommend if you are in the area

Nice lunch at Gallinis in Swansea Marina. Been a long time since I was last here but happy to say it's still good. Good menu selection with usual classics and some local specials. Had the lunchtime offer of 2 courses for £15 which had a good choice. Kids meals available too. Generous portions and delicious food. Enjoyed it and will be back.

While previously known for its affordable business lunch, Rose Indienne continues to offer impressive and satisfying meals at reasonable prices.
Absolutely loved every bite! Every dish was packed with flavour - truly some of the best Indian food I've ever had. I was starting with the onion bhaji, crispy and delicious. The saag aloo and coconut rice were outstanding. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Swansea. All the staff were welcoming and friendly - special shout-out to Imran for his exceptional service. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered Lamb Shank( it comes with gravy and Kashmiri rice), Lamb Chops, Paratha. Lamb Shank is ok but too much oil( hugs portion - one full lamb leg will be served). Lamb chops was little hard and taste also ok. I expected Paratha with Maida flour but it is prepared with aata flour. Vegetables balti is also good but you need to be clear with the waiter on which vegetables you need on that.
Dinesh C — Google review
I called to check they actually close at 12 as some Indian restaurant say they do but in fact don't. The restaurant accommodated my collection time of 11.55 (5 mins before closing) The service was great. The food was a bit of a wait even when I pre ordered 45 mins before. The food, lamb bhuna was great took me back to my childhood with the smell and taste. Last time i tasted a curry this good was in the 90's in a west London council estate as a child. Being from a bangladeshi background i was impressed. I would give it a 5 star or even 4 star if the onion bhaji was average. But what let it down was uncooked onion bhaji. Hopefully it's a one off. Maybe next time will it be ok and I will revise the review.

Food was ok , service was average, the lager was fizzy more like a cider. The mint that came with the bill was half eaten it had teeth marks in it. Won’t go there again..

Went on a Sunday, mrs had the buffet which she was well impressed with, I had a balti which was nice but could have done with a bit more sauce. Interior of the restaurant was very impressive, staff were good also served free poppadoms, will definitely go again Buffet was £15.95 and the balti £11 which included a naan bread.

Amazing food, amazing service and lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend this restaurant! <3 Definitely will come again! I went on Valentine’s Day and our order totalled to £60. We had: chicken spring rolls, they were very very delicious, highly recommend getting them as a starter; vegetable Tom Yum soup, the warmth and sourness of the soup really hit the spot; dim sum, it was so delicious; 2 green curry with rice, I really really recommend this main dish - it says medium spicy on the menu but it is not for those who can’t handle spicy food, but I really loved it; and we got pulled pork and an extra portion of steamed rice :) Also had a pot of green tea and 2 fizzy drinks. The overall experience was 10/10 and I will definitely come back again! The ladies who served us were very sweet and lovely too!

The Swigg in Swansea is a versatile venue that offers a delightful experience for both locals and visitors. It hosts various events, including the upcoming Ibiza Festival in collaboration with The House of Feelgood and Ibiza Radio 1. This festival promises to bring the latest 'White Isle vibes' with an exciting lineup of DJs and local talents. Additionally, The Swigg stands out as a new restaurant on the scene, priding itself on sourcing most of its food from local suppliers.
Popped into The Swigg and had the breakfast brunch toast—and I swear, it might be the best thing I’ve eaten this month. Absolute 10/10. The flavors were spot on, perfectly put together, and you could tell it was made with actual care. Massive shoutout to Chef Greg—whatever magic he’s working back there, it’s working. The service was just as solid. Friendly, relaxed, and actually made the whole experience better without being over the top. If you haven’t been yet, fix that. Go for the food, stay for the vibe. And seriously, get the avocado toast.
Samir S — Google review
Great venue that attracts a crowd of all ages. They regularly have live music and it was a great atmosphere yesterday. Large outdoor area is fun & lively. Good choice of drinks. Large indoor bar and an outside bar that sells bottles and cans. Three bottles or cans for £12 is reasonably good value too. The only reason not to give 5 stars are the toilets. When busy it's a complete bottleneck and can easily take 10mins to queue as they are down a narrow corridor which quickly fills and means people can't get in or out. Solve that and they have a 5 star venue.

Hands down one of my favourites places to be in Swansea It’s got amazing Marina views, cozy seating indoors and plenty of outdoor seats for when the weather permits (heated outdoor areas for when it’s not) Keep an eye out for their live events. Delicious streetfood authentic beef tacos and side salad. The dipping sauce was sublime. You can tell they know how to execute the authentic. Time and care went into this dish. Brekkie this morning. 1st time visiting. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.we were there early so plenty of seating available. I have to say I can't fault anything. The coffee was beautiful, my pancakes were delish, inventive and a refreshing twist on the bog standard pancake. My husbands breakfast was amazing also. I will defo be visiting again and it was a bonus to see it is dog friendly.
Joanne J — Google review
The burgers and chips here are stunning. We all had a different burger and tried a bit of each others. The general consensus was the bacon, bacon, bacon burger pipped the others to the post with the stunning maple bacon. It was around £14 odd for burger and an additional £2 odd to add chips, add a drink in and your looking at low £20's pp. My advice if your going for a family meal is to go weekdays or earlier than 4 Fri-Sunday as its busy with louder music and geared more towards reveling than food after these times - we ate outside as it was too loud for family meal inside (not that I'm judging I will be enjoying a bit of Swigg reveling on Friday evening 🍻 - just not with the kids)

Before going to the place we looked up on the google and it said the place was closed. We went there anyway and discovered the place was open so we went in. The place was almost empty and had almost no atmosphere and felt quite cold. The food was quite simple and didn’t have a lot of flavours. They served chilli rice instead of garlic rice and when questioned they insisted it was garlic rice. After a while they came with the correct one. Overall it was ok.

Update: looks like the owner replied, and then deleted the reply..! See photos! - I wonder what it said. As a fellow business owner, the best feedback you can get are the bad ones. It gives good insight to the parts of the business that needs cleaning up. So by all means, follow up with me and I can help you improve your venue. It has so much potential, it's a lovely building, just gotta put happy and friendly staff in there. Our waiter was lovely, great attitude, and great sense of humour, even when under pressure. Original post: Staff messed up the burger order, and then he rolled his eyes at my partner when she politely reminded him what we had ordered. He gave a bit of attitude saying he'd already brought that out. The customer is always right, be polite. Should have been apologetic, the result would never be worse when apologetic. He uttered "well I'm going to have to swap it out then aren't"... Came back to the table with this disgusting mess. The meat was dry, and tasted like it was cooked over 24 hours ago.

Great food at very good prices. Service is always quick, plenty of seating available especially for the market. However despite plenty of seating being available it can still be difficult to find seats due to its popularity especially around lunch time as you would expect.

When I give this a 4 star, I do it with all the love in the world. For £5.99 for a meal, it's a great deal. The food is pretty much always very decent, I've had this maybe 25+ times, all different dishes and only once or twice have I found it to be lacking slightly. Authentic Thai grub, cooked by a small army or small Thai women. I love the vibe. Well worth a visit. The indoor market is worth a visit for many reasons, but this alone is up there. I get it once a week for me and my wife, and £18 odd pounds provides a dinner, and next days lunch for us both. Good value. Go go go.

Amazing affordable food. Their spicy IS spicy! Great customer service from the ladies and gentleman. If you’re discouraged by the location, I urge you to get takeout.
Hirhyel H — Google review
Very cheap, hence the two stars, but the curries are watery, bland and tasteless. They dilute the curry paste far too much. The noodle dishes are chewy and don't taste of anything but sugar. I get that it's cheap, but it's baffling why this is so positively reviewed, is it the only Thai food you've ever eaten? Thai Express in the arcade has the same prices but far better flavour, so much tastier.

The friendly staff go out of their way to make dogs feel welcome and even offer treats for them. Situated next to Coffee Fresco, this charming cafe is a delightful spot to observe the bustling surroundings while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Cozy and welcoming spot by the sea. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, with lovely views of the coast. Outdoor seating and indoor seating, including an upstairs area, are available. The staff is helpful and service is efficient. Coast Cafe is always a great choice for just a quick coffee or good food with a nice ambiance.

Beautiful cafe, Toni was very friendly and made our delicious yogurt and granola breakfast herself and cappuccino with oat milk, we give a 10 out of 10!! She was so lovely, glad we found this little cafe as will definitely be visiting here again. Made to feel very welcome, thankyou

Loud staff and the space reverberates with the echoes of the staff and patrons . Somehow it feels like the coffee shop was designed for an opera house acoustics. Whilst taking the order , the lady at the counter was very loud , rushing us and not giving us the space to think through the requirement- even though the shop had just opened. Choice of gluten free but loaded with sugar . Coffee is passable. Not that we will be going next time but outside seating is probably better than enduring the cacophony inside. Suggestion to staff - be patient and kind. Otherwise it is a contradiction to the spirit of the Pride flag that you have got there.

Very nice cafe and lovely cakes from Cakesmiths. It will be a good idea to have Internet 😃 Good breakfast menu but not much for lunchtime. No free parking

Really nice café with great views over the busy harbour. Staff were friendly and food quality was good. The brunch options were, however, a little limited and, if seated upstairs, going downstairs to order food and bring back drinks was a bit of a chore. Nevertheless, a good brunch option.

Dreadful service at a previously old favourite. We always visit Coast Cafe when visiting Swansea, but last Saturday we left very disappointed. Upon tasting the coffee, it had been made with oat milk - no problem, these things happen when there are lots of jugs by the machine. However when we politely asked if it could be changed, the barista proceeded to argue with us, look on the till to see what it 'should' have been made with, refused to make us a new one and it was all just no, no no. Whatever happened to putting the customer first? Would it not have been easier and cheaper in the long run to just make the coffee rather than lose faithful customers. Shame.
Lucy L — Google review
ridiculously overpriced :/ london prices. and the food and drinks do not justify the prices at all. the matcha is sad and grey and does not taste like matcha. their coffee tastes burned :/ they don’t even have wifi at the cafe. the only saving grace is the staff who provide wonderful service and their almond croissants which are some of the best i’ve ever had.
Khushi — Google review
I've been to Italy, and honestly this here is the best cappuccino I've had in the UK: it reminded me of the brews I had over there. I'm giving 4/5 for atmosphere as I thought it was costal facing but it has a marina view - tbh that's my mistake but other people may assume similarly. either way, great service & exceptional coffee.

Piñatas Burrito Bar is a lively Mexican restaurant located in the city center, offering unique dishes like the Doritos burrito. The place is known for its Taco Tuesdays, which are perfect for those looking to dine out and save money. Customers have praised the hot and flavorful food, such as chicken burritos, Mexican fries, guacamole, birria beef burritos, and churros with chocolate and caramel dips.
Came in for food and games, it was a little bit of a wait, but as we had the games to play in the meantime we barely noticed. Had dirty tacos and honestly they were out of this world
Ashlee R — Google review
Came in with 2 others, place looked half built and was very quiet. Our food took 45 minutes to come and when it did they'd only given us half of what we ordered. We ordered the kids chicken nuggets, they came looking freezer burnt, old and plain. We also ordered the 3 for £10 taco deal and we're only given 2 out of 5 Tacos we ordered in total. The staff were very nice and made their best efforts to help however did not have a clue what was going on. We watched people walk in and out as we waited for our food. The only good thing about the experience was that the food wasn't totally inedible and they also had a pool table. Very disappointed and absolute waste of £30. Definitely will not be back.

First time going here since they moved, the board games are great and the foods better than I remember it being, the dirty tacos were 👌
Jonathan D — Google review
I've been looking forward to trying this place for a while as Mexican cuisine is a favourite but I'm afraid I've been left utterly disappointed by majority of the experience. The restaurant feels a bit make shift in terms of decor. The bench seating is nice if you have a group and it was clean. I ordered a margarita to be told they only had frozen margarita mixed and didn't have the mix for a standard margarita. I dont know why a Mexican restaurant would be using a marg mix to start but also why they didnt have it on a friday evening. The frozen margarita was ok although a bit pricey at £8.95 and it was quite sweet (a bit like a slush). When it came to ordering we were told they had run out of nacho cheese (by 7pm on a friday) so we binned off the order of loaded nachos. I ordered a burrito and to be fair, it was very nice and presented well. The tacos my husband ordered were possibly the worst we've ever tried. They were wet and soggy with no authentic Mexican flavour. Where was the cilantro and lime? When it came to paying it took our server over 15 minutes to split a bill 3 ways. We left frustrated, disappointed and not wanting to return.

I am soon due to be celebrating my 4th year living in Swansea, and I call my house my home. However, whilst I call my home the place where I live, SocialDice/Piñatas has become the place I love and feel like I belong. The fact that I know staff is inconsequential as the welcoming atmosphere they generate means that they will become your friends with quick succession anyway, in a manner that is heartwarmingly genuine. As a neurodivergent diabetic, I have never been left feeling that my needs are unfulfilled and staff have shown to be more than willing to bend over backwards to help whoever and however they can. I am noted for returning frequently to eat the tacos as the food has always been unfailingly excellent, with the dirty tacos being my favourite of their ever-growing range of options. I would encourage you to ignore reviews from spiteful people coming here to flame and saboutage an otherwise brilliant local business, and pay attention to those that highlight what is renowned to be an establishment that encourages quality, positivity and inclusivity.

My boyfriend and I visited here today with our 1 year old and I was so impressed with how the staff were with us. The girl that served us made so much time for us, and gave so much attention to the baby that he was constantly looking around for her to come back. The food was delicious, and our server made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to go back to try something else!

Disappointing experience. Waited 45 minutes with no updates on my order. Burrito arrived missing items, staff didn’t check if everything was okay, and I ended up with a bad stomach after eating. Won’t be returning.

Amazing food, great service from a friendly server who also took song requests, which made the experience more personal as well. Also, pitchers are served in big skull glasses, which was very cool. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend it to everyone who passes. Truly a hidden gem. Thank you to all of the staff. 😊

Crumbs Kitchen Uplands is a cozy cafe located in Gwydr Square, offering a friendly atmosphere and an array of affordable meals, with several options priced under five pounds. Specializing in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, the menu features popular dishes such as spiced spinach and chickpea pie with fresh salad garnish, as well as homemade sweet potato, coconut, and chili soup served with chunky granary bread.
So good I went in two days in a row when I had meetings in Swansea. The staff are all so good, full of smiles, happy to help and really on the ball. They make it a pleasure to go there. Coffee is so very good and actually tastes like a coffee shop, not just generic sludge. Espresso was perfect. Vegan cakes are the best in town and it's so nice to have a choice. Salad is good tier and the lunch menu makes it hard to choose.
Simon F — Google review
I visited for lunch with two children and we all enjoyed our paninis, especially the falafel one which was packed with flavour. The only letdown was the side salad, which looked a bit sad and could have been a bit more vibrant. Service was prompt, and I really liked the relaxed atmosphere with just a gentle background chatter — perfect for a relaxing lunch.

Had a lovely brunch in Crumbs Kitchen. Food was lovely, and reasonably priced. We had the vegetarian burrito which came with a choice of up to three fillings and the tuna melt as a toastie. Food came quickly, staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good. Would definitely come here again.

Very disappointing breakfast visit. Originally sat upstairs but moved as there was a tradesman filling a wall and enjoying a loud phone call. Vegan breakfast seems overpriced at 12 pounds for what amounts to half an avocado, fried potatoes, toast and beans. They call it hash on the menu but actually mean barely fried potatoes and not a hash brown (a potato hash traditionally includes other ingredients like onions, but mainly annoyed at the misleading description). All the crockery I was served was dirty and the waitress didn't even bother to ask who ordered what before plonking the plates down and hurrying off. As I say, very disappointing breakfast.

We’ve finally found the perfect coffee spot in Swansea! This dog-friendly place is amazing—they made sure we and our dog felt at home right from the start. The staff is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food is really delicious, you can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love into it. Our dog even got a lot of special treats, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great food, fantastic service, and wants to bring their pet along. This was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast. The menu included many unique plant-based offerings, two of which we tried. Will definitely look to return on our next visit to Swansea!

We have been coming here for about 2 years. The coffee is super tasty and amazing quality and I cannot describe how delicious the pork cobano is. The amount of meat you get in the sandwich is super generous. The other food also looks insane but we love the pork cobano and have to order it each time. Amazing cocktails, astounding variety of gin! Good food at a great price but smaller plates so don’t expect a banquet. Unique atmosphere with lovely staff. A beautiful sea view balcony to sit on or enjoy the eclectic atmosphere indoors. Perfect for any day! Live music on a Thursday evening. My favourite place in Mumbles.

Staff at bar were welcoming and helpful. Sitting in the outdoor part of the rooftop was very pleasant. Had the chef special, pulled beef baguette, which was served in a generous portion with delicious fries. Rarebit had a crispy toasted bit which was nice, and a good amount of cheese on. Gin and tonic was nice. Music was good. Would revisit.

We recently booked the rooftop terrace at Gin & Juice for our wedding meal, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and looked after every detail with care and professionalism. The rooftop itself is stunning a beautifully designed space with a relaxed yet elegant vibe, perfect for an intimate celebration. The ambiance, combined with the gorgeous views and tasteful decor, created a magical setting for our special day. The food was excellent. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor clearly made with quality ingredients and attention to detail. The drinks, as expected from a place known for its gin selection, were fantastic. Our guests loved the unique cocktail options and curated gin menu. Service was top-notch throughout the event. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly without being intrusive. They struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, which made us and our guests feel completely at ease. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate such an important moment. Thank you to everyone at Gin & Juice for helping make our wedding meal so memorable. Highly recommend this venue for any special occasion.

A small group of us watched the fa cup final here. We were looking for somewhere a little quieter so we could talk too but also with a atmosphere and that's exactly what was here. Good drink at low prices, comfy seating and quiet enough to talk and hear. Maybe a little quieter than expected for a cup final. Plenty of tvs so no matter which way you say you could see the game

This was a fantastic bar for drinking, with a glorious and bright design! The pretty architecture of the walls and ceiling contribute as does the red lighting, counter is well-presented too. I enjoyed a cranberry cocktail, sitting comfortably at a clean table and the toilets were fine too!

For the price, the food is good but nothing to write home about (sort of like an elevated Weatherspoons). The main of scampi was pretty tasty but desserts are very lacking. Non-alocholic menu could use expanding too. Lots of big screens, can see it being good for sports viewings

The Brunswick Arms is a traditional pub with a cozy atmosphere and live folk and country gigs. It offers a wide range of food options including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free choices at affordable prices. While it closes early in the evening, it's a great spot for an early dinner with local beers and a nice selection of wines and spirits. The pub has undergone some changes but still maintains its charm as one of the last proper pubs in town.
The sunday dinner at the Brunswick Arms is like no other you’ve had before. You would never expect such beautiful presentation of dishes from a little hidden away pub, but WOW. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough, sunday lunch + dessert for £19.95, i think we’ll be back fortnightly from now on. Five stars

The Shed Restaurant, led by executive chef Jonathan Woolway, brings a unique dining experience to Swansea with its focus on Welsh ingredients and farm-to-fork philosophy. With influences from his time at St John in London, Woolway showcases his love for locally sourced produce from the Gower Peninsula, Brecon Beacons, Herefordshire, West Wales, and Monmouthshire borders. The open kitchen allows diners to witness the chefs at work while enjoying top-class dishes made with fresh ingredients.
We had a great experience at The Shed in Swansea. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the food stood out. The blood sausage was cooked perfectly, with a rich, balanced flavour. The service was attentive, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed and were excellent in advising with our choices from the menu. The Shed offers an excellent dining experience with high-quality dishes that are well worth trying. If you’re in Swansea, it’s definitely worth a visit for a Welsh inspired and beautifully cooked meal.

Enjoyed most of the food, loved the potted crab and the liver parfait for starters, cockle croquettes also good. For mains the Skate was especially good. Sides were fine but desserts were excellent, loved the Strawberry trifle and the rice pudding. Drinks wise they had a good selection of wines available by the glass. Service was very cold, certainly not something I'm used to, I don't think any of the staff wanted to be there, my elderly parents felt very unwelcome and have said they'll never go back which is a shame. Staff didn't even bother explaining the cheeses on the cheese board. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate this type of cooking

Went above and beyond to cater for my dad and his many questions.. 😂 we came midweek, not too busy but still a good atmosphere. We had such a great time, highlights were the potted crab starter, and the grilled mackerel main. Thanks again for a special evening!

I recently had dinner at this amazing high-end restaurant and it was fantastic! The crab and flatbread starter was super fresh and tasty, with the crab's sweetness perfectly balanced by the crisp flatbread. The duck breast with chickpea and kale was the star of the show. The duck was incredibly tender and juicy, with a rich, savory flavor. The chickpeas added a nice earthy touch, while the kale brought a slight bitterness that balanced the dish perfectly. Pairing it with a glass of house red wine made it even better, as the wine's rich notes complemented the savory duck. I also tried the cockle croquette small plate, and it was a great addition. They were crispy on the outside and filled with a creamy, flavorful mixture of cockles. Absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic, with friendly and attentive staff making sure everything was perfect. The ambiance was beautiful, with elegant decor and a calm atmosphere that made the evening even more special. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy amazing food and great service. Definitely worth a visit!

My wife and I went for a 1400 lunch sitting. Sat at the kitchen counter, kitchen staff all incredibly friendly, waiting and bar staff all attentive and friendly. My wife didn’t fancy any of the cocktails listed so the bar tender asked what flavours she liked and before you know it she had something she loved. The food was beautiful, we had the Fore-rib to share and it was beautiful, incredible beef, the plate had artichokes, salad and nuts, all really tasty! From the little appetisers through to starters right out to the last cocktails, everything we ate and drank was beautiful and we ordered loads and I regret nothing!!! In terms of value, I thought it was bang on. If you want a cheap bite maybe not the gaff but if you want good value for money, incredible food and drink prepared really well and great services this place is proper value for money!

Agree with all the reviews that the food at The Shed is superb and of a very high standard. But without excellent staff it wouldn't be a fantastic experience. We were there last night celebrating our sons graduation. Peter our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful in guiding us through it. *Outstanding for discerning palates* First time in Swansea and wasn’t too high on what I was seeing for food options (lots of chains, fast food, and pub food). As a foodie and someone with dietary restrictions I was not sure I could find food that was good, least of all excellent. Well the Shed was beyond my expectations. Staff was extremely attentive, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I was sitting outside and they made sure I was not forgotten. The potato leek soup was the best I have ever had. The celeriac bake was extraordinary - paired perfectly with so much flavor. Each element built on the other for a flavor explosion. Desserts were unique but not intimidating. The chef clearly knows his ingredients and how best to pair them. Those with discerning palates will appreciate this fine establishment. It’s clear why this restaurant is listed on Michelin’s Guide for Swansea. I highly recommend.

Only our second visit. Our first, a while ago, left a lasting impression. So much so, that it was the first place we thought of when visiting friends asked.. “what restaurant have you visited and would like to return to?” The food is fresh, and well presented. Absolutely delicious and hard to stop eating when it tastes so good! We found it best to look at the menu beforehand and note down all the dishes we wanted. Then we just showed the list to the person who was waiting on us and said we were happy to receive the food as it suited them.. whatever was cooked first. Everything was soooooo good but I specifically recommend the following… Ginger and spring onion chicken rice Taiwan salted crispy chicken Vegetable stir fried soba Minced pork bun Stunning food, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Ensure you book a table in advance as it’s a small, intimate venue. One thing to note was that it was requested we bring cash on the night when we called to book. However one of our party spotted a staff member with a card reader, so not sure what that was about. Maybe their card reader had been playing up? Whatever the reason, it wasn’t too much bother to ensure we had cash with us for the night. There is a Tesco nearby with a cash machine for convenience. Thank you for a beautiful food experience, Muswanna, our friends were suitably impressed 🙂

Tried Sinchan spicy chicken - very tasty and flavourful, tried Singapore vermicelli chicken noodles - tasty, spring rolls chicken goyaz everything tasted good. I will recommend this one if anyone in swansea looking for chinese food.

If you’re seeking authentic Asian cuisine with a warm atmosphere, Muswanna is a must-visit. Located at 13 Dillwyn Street, this cozy spot offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of dishes that cater to diverse tastes. The menu features a range of flavorful options, including halal-friendly choices, ensuring that all guests can enjoy a satisfying meal. Standout dishes like the crispy duck with pancakes and the Taiwan salted crispy chicken are particularly noteworthy. The generous portions and fresh ingredients make each dish a treat for the palate. The ambiance at Muswanna is both intimate and inviting, making it an ideal place for a casual meal with friends or a special night out. The staff are attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall positive dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Swansea, Muswanna offers a culinary journey that shouldn’t be missed. Be sure to book a table in advance, as this popular eatery can fill up quickly.

This place is amazing for authentic asian cuisine. It’s definitely a must-visit in Swansea. The restaurant is relatively small with limited seating capacity, but the ambiance and aesthetic are lovely. It’s best to make a booking beforehand. We tried a few dishes and loved them. The presentation was clean and appealing. Must-try: Sichuan Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp, and Pork Wonton with Crab Roe. Least favorite: Chicken Gyoza. The portions of main-course noodles or rice are generous and can easily serve two people.

Excellent choice of food.... Place little bit crowded.... But flavours are amazing.... Only drawback Is just one waitress managing everything she is doing her best but she needs a hand... QR menus on the table would be of great help... Just my suggestion... Overall enjoyed my food...

Awesome pan-Asian food, had Gyoza and Dolsot Bibimbap, both of which are amongst the best I've ever had in the UK. Busy as expected on a Saturday night but they managed to squeeze me in. A MUST-TRY if you like this sort of food - Swansea, you have a gem!

This is a great place for a meal with friends. It's a very small restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is fantastic and amazing value for the quality/quantity of food served. I'd only like to see more vegetarian options on the main menu as there were only a couple of options. 3 people had 3 main dishes and 5 starters/small plates between us, 5 Beers and a soft drink. It came to around £85.

Located on the stunning beachfront of Swansea Bay, The Observatory is a unique bar and restaurant offering delicious dining experiences. The eclectic decor includes vintage electric gear and retro dishware, creating a chic and relaxed vibe. With its dog-friendly atmosphere, it's a great spot to enjoy top-notch food while taking in the sea view. The cozy ambiance, warm drinks, and delectable cakes make for an unforgettable experience at this hidden gem by the sea.
Great vibe restaurant and bar. Stopped in on our walk for a coffee and cake. Donuts were huge and full of flavour, coffee and hot chocolate both smooth and tasty. Dog friendly with a rustic charm and good atmosphere complemented by a beautiful view of Swansea bay. Highly recommended for a visit and the establishment has a genuine sense of humour with throwbacks to VHS and self aware plants.

We are in a group of 14 people. Thanks for the lady to make a big effort to arrange seats for us. In a busy day like this, it is never a easy task. The pizza is great, and all the drinks are beautiful and good to enjoy. The design of the restaurant is very special. Every corner has something to explore. Highly recommend to visit here, including the wide open sea view out there.

This dog-friendly place is located at the bottom of a tower and has a lot of character. Love the interior of the place which gives a warm and rustic vibe, you feel immersed in nature surrounded by plants but also complemented with a view of the sea. We came here in the evening and the atmosphere is awesome, light bites and pizza are offered which are very tasty.

Amazing find in the Swansea marina with views overlooking the sea. Love the quirky decor here, from the aeroplane seats to the vintage electronics, there’s so many features that make this place unique. Service can be slow here on busy periods, we waited over an hour for our brunch to arrive, but our drinks were served within 10 minutes of ordering. Staff are lovely and did warn there was a long wait for food when ordering and were apologetic about the wait. I ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast and an oat milk latte which I really enjoyed. Prices are on the higher side but expected for the area, can get very noisy at peak times and the restaurant is dog friendly.

We came for lunch on a Sunday and there were only a few tables left. The observatory has a beautiful view and it right on the beach. We ordered food and it took an hour to come. The food was quite cold when it arrived. I got the avocado egg and bacon bagel. It wasn’t very nice, it just lacked flavour! I would love to come back for the view but the food wasn’t very special, I would just get a coffee. The wait was just way too long.
Jenny D — Google review
My only complaint was the herby potatoes. The bravas sauce was more like fore roasted tomatoes than bravas sauce. Staff lost wove and Mums drink ticket but comped and replaced the drinks. Our vegetarian was able to find something to suit her palate and our wee on enjoyed the pizza. Oh and found every Western in Swansea in the gents.

The location is beautiful and I love the aesthetics but just being honest the food isn’t the best. They work a lot on presentation so everything is so good to look at but just not the best tasting. Still an amazing spot to go to.

I recently visited this takeaway, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The customer service was appalling, with staff displaying poor manners and a lack of basic courtesy. One of the staff members, in particular, seemed completely unaware of how to interact with customers respectfully. The level of ignorance and unprofessionalism was astonishing, making the visit both frustrating and regrettable. It’s no surprise that the council has rated them 1/5, though I genuinely believe they deserve 0/5 for their lack of standards in service and behavior. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and urge them to seriously reconsider their approach to customer care.

Best food ever! I have ordered pizza from them couple of times and I really enjoyed it so decided to try something different and I am seriously surprised how much chicken meat they put inside the chicken wraps. I have food poising from here a few times now. Each time thinking I would give it another chance. Never again will I eat here, old, burnt and dried up food. The service is a joke and they taking money from people and giving bad food. Have added photos of the food to show. One side the donner is burnt like charcoal and the other side is not even cooked and even the Ck donner is bitter and burnt and like charcoal.

Albert Hall, a historic venue in Swansea, originally opened in 1864 and has hosted performances and speeches by renowned figures such as Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, and David Lloyd George. After being unoccupied for years, the building underwent a grand makeover with modernized interiors while retaining some original features. The venue now offers a variety of dining options including Greek cuisine from Olive and Oregano and Indian small plate options.
Had a good look around checking out the food offers here. There is a lot of variety on offer and the menus I looked at were interesting. The place feels nice with benches etc between the food counters, there is a bar too. There is a further mezzanine dining area at the back. I give five stars because it looks and feels the par but no comment on food yet. I imagine seating may be an issue when the place gets busy but there is an outside seating area at the front for that summer night when it doesn't rain.

Really nice place. The food was great and the access is good. Automatic doors at the entrance would be useful as current doors are heavy. Ample seating downstairs, might be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair if it's busy. The staff we nice but spoke a bit quietly so we struggled to hear what food they were bringing. I will definitely be going here again.

Albert Hall is such a great additional to Swansea. Despite the crowd and the bit of chaos that came with the crowds, we really enjoyed the food hall vibe with so many different cuisines to try. The communal seating wasn’t my favourite, but the overall experience made up for it. The epic doughnuts and pizzas from "Pizza Boys" were definite highlights ... absolutely delicious! It does get extremely busy, and it feels like the staff are still adjusting to the high demand, even though it’s been open for a few months. But if you’re up for a lively atmosphere and great food, it’s definitely worth a visit!

The worst food that I have tasted in Swansea. Cwtchitas is a magical place that has garnered a lot of love for its amazing food. The collaboration with Elwyns has been particularly impressive, and there's excitement about the prospect of them introducing a food truck. Visitors have raved about their Mexican cuisine, with some claiming it to be the best they've had since dining in California. The belly pork tostadas are especially noteworthy, described as the most delicious dish enjoyed in years.
I was planning to do some work, but the service was so good that I ended up writing this review as I ate it, instead. Cwtchitas were working out of the Academy’s kitchen on Whitchurch Road and there were many similarities to my experiences while living in Chile. Firstly, the tacos, which is obvious. Secondly, Chile is quite the place for street food, a term which I think is likeable and obviously easy to market, especially in this setting. Something else the Cwtchitas have in common is the app-based table and payment services, with a QR code on the table. Anyone who knows what I do for a living will know I’m not a fan of overarching technocratic infrastructure, but this is the way of things nowadays. Regardless, it made it relatively easy even though I prefer to have interactions with human beings and to feel the cold hard cash upon my palm. It turned out that I didn’t need to worry about the lack of interaction anyway, in fact, I was greeted by one of the Cwtchitas while talking to the bar staff at the Academy. She was attracted by my beautiful Bella Boo, who is always being pawed by strangers which is ironic seeing as she’s a dog. She loves attention and that’s what she got. That’s always a sign of a good experience for me. If my pooch is made to feel wanted then I automatically feel wanted, too. The lady, who was quite adorable and cute herself, asked politely whether she could give Bella a pork scratching and, even though my doggo wasn’t too fussed on the airy treat, it was definitely a kind gesture. While I was trying to erroneously order my food at the bar, I was soon approached by the same Cwtchita. I asked if I could order a little meat on the side for Bella and was rebuffed with offers of free chicken for the little lady. I ordered the pork belly tacos in orange sauce and the crunchy salted corn, which were all conveniently priced. It arrived very quickly. I liked the fact that the red and green chillies were left on the side. Personally, I love the heat, but it’s a little thought that definitely counts. There was a lime per taco regardless, to cool things down. The portions were what I expected from street food, however, it should be noted that the majority of it was pork belly. That made me happy. Also, the lady added a free portion of chicken for Bella out of kindness so I wasn’t able to hold off writing this review. The service was personal and heartwarming. The food was extremely tasty and worth the price. I loved it all. It was an all-round perfect experience as a customer. Bella did approve!

”¡Ay caramba!” Are these the BEST Birria Tacos? 🌮🇲🇽 🌶️ A plaza full of foodie choices, but this Saturday we made a beeline for Cwtchitas at Founders, Swansea 🇲🇽✨ 🐖 First up, we savored the Pork Pibil Burrito Bowl, brimming with bold flavors that danced on my tongue. 🌮 Next, the Tres Carnes Birria Tacos stole the show—they were so outstanding, I’d put them at the top of my taco treasure trove! 🍹 We couldn’t resist some refreshing mocktails from the bar: the Strawberry Slush and Caleno Nojito were pure liquid bliss. 😋 Everything was fantastic, making this culinary adventure a smashing success. 🎉 As they say in Mexico, “Taco ‘bout a winning meal!” 📸 Already planning my next visit to Cwtchitas—if you’re in Swansea, this is a must-try foodie destination! 🫶 If you haven’t tried Cwtchitas yet… taco ’bout a missed opportunity. 🌮😉 📍 Founders Swansea – a street food spot that’s seriously delivering the goods. 💬 Drop your fave taco spot in the comments or tag someone who owes you a street food date 👀👇 @cwtchitas @foundersandcoswansea

Rohan N — Google review
Absolutely gutted to discover that the tres birria tacos, which used to be my absolute favourite and a rare gluten-free gem in Swansea, are no longer gluten free due to a change in their stock. These tacos are unreal – rich, flavourful, and perfectly indulgent – but sadly now off-limits for anyone coeliac or gluten intolerant. Devastated to lose such a brilliant option. Hoping they might reconsider or find a way to bring back a gluten-free version in future, because the demand is definitely there!

Joe's Ice Cream Parlour, a beloved institution in Swansea, Wales, has been serving up their famous vanilla ice cream for over 100 years. The family-owned business still uses the original recipe created by Joe Cascarini himself. With a second location in Cardiff, locals and visitors alike flock to Joe's for their consistently delightful desserts. Overlooking Swansea Bay, patrons can enjoy their fresh vanilla ice cream with various toppings while taking in the picturesque views.
I visited Joe’s on a Sunday evening. It was full, I could barely get a place to sit. I ordered a large milkshake share which I really enjoyed. Then order a plate of waffles with vanilla ice cream and hazelnut topping. The plate of waffle was really yummy and Id be going back for it.

Joe’s ice cream has few rivals in this part of Wales though there’ll be some who won’t agree but they constitute a minority. This parlour at the corner of St Helen’s Road has plenty of space to sit inside and enjoy the ice cream. There’s even a toilet for emergencies!! Great ice cream.

Looking for food that warms the soul? Bowla have got you covered. I received a warm and friendly welcome from Hannah, who is clearly passionate about her business. I thoroughly enjoyed my super seeded bowla (with 15g of protein) and even brought some home. Perfect for adding soup to! I loved visiting Bowla and really hope to see it expand to Cardiff!

This is the best food in Wales! My partner and I drove all the way to Swansea just for their Bowla! It’s so tasty!

Bowla was a friendly and lovely little homely place to go to, food was tasty and warmed to perfection. Absolutely beautiful and the gentleman who served us was polite and respectful and gave the place a touch of love.

Found this gem of a place today. A very warm welcome and it was clean and tidy. Then the food came and it was beautiful!! We had the garlic/rosemary bowl with welsh lamb cawl with welsh butter, cheese and crispy onions!! Really lovely, great value for money and highly recommended. Will definitely be back

Loved it, had them a month back in my office, came back today searching for them in swansea market. Awesome taste

Absolutely stunning, the chicken tikka is to die for. I normally pop in when in town but today I had it delivered. My only complaint if you can even call it a complaint is that the fillings can maybe be a bit more warm. Maybe some kitchen foil to help keep the heat in. But still extremely enjoyable. Can't wait for new flavours to come out.

A bowl of warmth! This little shop in Swansea market is the perfect fix for a rainy day. The shop offers customisable bread bowl options with loads of vegetarian options. Highly recommend the vegan chicken tikka with cheese and all the toppings.

Have you tried the World’s first Bread Roll in the shape of a Bowler Hat? 🎩 I certainly hadn’t when I arrived at Swansea Market over the weekend! I’m actually ashamed I hadn’t been to Bowla before - what an absolute gem it is! 🫶🏼 Hannah kindly invited us down to try a Bowla (or two!) and we excitedly accepted! Nestled in Swansea Market (just behind the Fruit & Veg area), is Bowla. I love their tag line - ‘a bowl with a roll’! Catchy and it’s such a fabulous, creative concept! 🙌🏻 We had: 🎩 Festive Bowla (stuffing, turkey, piggies in blankets, cranberry & sooo much gravy with cheese, Welsh butter & crispy onions 🤤) 🎩 BBQ Pulled Pork Bowla (with cheese, Welsh butter & crispy onions) The fillings for both were fantastic to begin with. They were hearty, warming and very comforting. Perfect, perfect, perfect for upcoming colder months! This really is the ideal meal when you’re in town! 🙌🏻 The bread itself was gorgeous and well seasoned. Plus Jamie did a fantastic job on the day - even his first solo baking day, and did sublimely! 👏🏻 Also, we had 2 meal deals with our Bowlas which for £8 (crisps with a can) each is a fantastic deal! If you haven’t been to Bowla, get yourself down there! Even for bragging rights that you’ve had the World’s First Bowler Hat Bread Roll! 🎩 Thanks Hannah and Jamie for a fab lunch, we’ll@be back soon to work our way through the menu 😋 🤤🫶🏼 [invite] @bowla_ltd

Railway Thai Table in Swansea SA15AW brings the flavors of Thailand to the area, offering a customizable dining experience. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, they provide both dine-in and takeaway options. Customers have praised their delivery service for its timeliness and hot, delicious food. The menu offers a variety of dishes with customizable spice levels, allowing patrons to tailor their meal to their preferences. Reviewers particularly enjoyed the freshly made spring rolls and flavorful dishes like red curry and spicy Singapore noodles.
The spring rolls are amazing, freshly made so nice and crisp! I got the pad Thai Issarn (hot) style.. so much nicer than your usual mild pad Thai. Food is piping hot on arrival. Ordered from here twice so far and haven’t been disappointed. Will continue to order in future. Thank you!
Georgia — Google review
Please thicken your curries and add more veg! They're so thin and empty, it's like bits floating in greasy, watery sauce. Pad Thai tastes way too sweet & sour, gloopy and 'MSG-y'. Not how good Thai should be. Squid was nice but I'll definitely stick with Bangkok Express in future.
Rhiannon C — Google review
I wouldn't order from here again so disappointed with my dishes both swimming in grease and not edible the only nice thing to come from my order were the spring rolls ordered rice and it didn't arrive!
Jessica Y — Google review
We ordered a delivery via Deliveroo. The service was excellent as our food came on time and steaming hot. We purchased the red curry and spicy Singapore noodles which were very nice. However, the dish that really surprised us and made me write this review was the spring rolls! We ordered chicken spring rolls for starters and they were delicious - not soggy but freshly made. We would definitely recommend!
Sarita A — Google review
My food arrived later than they had indicated but I forgive them because it was Friday night and they were busy and the delivery driver was lovely and the food was DELICIOUS! I could happily eat from here every day for the rest of my life. I love the way they let you choose your level of heat, too!
Lucy R — Google review
What a shambles of a place!! 3 hours late and didn't even turn up in the end, every time we rung they said it was on its way, then all of a sudden on the last call the driver apparently hadn't even picked it up! Should of just told us the truth in the first place and I wouldn't of been as mad after 3 hours of waiting and been lied too. Waste of time and money, now we have to request the money back through just eat! Will never order from here again!!!
Emma S — Google review
Order a meal via deliveroo. Being a Tuesday night we didn’t think it was going to be busy. We waited over an hour tried contacting the restaurant 6 times and got cut off, eventually the food did turn up over an hour late from, ordering, which was estimated at 30 mins. The food was delicious and hot in more ways than one. But please keep your customers informed if things are going slower than expected, saves frustration all round.

Just had delivered tai green curry, spring rolls. Coconut rice, from Tai railway Swansea. The meal arrived in 40 mins by a happy delivery guy. The meal was fabulous, all was fresh and looked bright on the plate. The flavor was creamy, lightly spiced,I had the cool one, perfect for one person. Husband had the mild which was just as fabulous more spiced but not to much. Will definitely order from here again. Thanks.

I visited the shop on Monday and was served by Kathryn. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the products I purchased, answering every question with confidence. Kathryn gave off such a positive and welcoming vibe, which is something you don’t often experience in many other shops. Her customer service truly stood out and made my visit a great experience

Such a useless restaurant. Why does it take well over an hour just to make one pot of pasta and a garlic bread? I've never had anything on time from this place and their contact number on Google isn't a valid number so I can't even contact them or cancel my order. I want to give up and not bother using this incompetent place again but now I'm forced to sit and wait and maybe get my food at some point. Do not waste your money with them unless you have hours to spare to wait for your food if it ever even turns up at all.

Pasta was tasteless, bland, horrible. Edible but not worth any money. 3/10 Garlic bread with cheese was fire. 8/10 Tiramisu was just packaged, store-bought mass produced in a little jar. Overpriced dessert for what it is.
Georgi — Google review
Lasagne was OK, not much flavour I can make better myself, Ragu was awful, small amount of ragu on the top of the pot leaving over half the bottom just plain soggy pasta. Then to top it all off, Had one item missing. Overall not impressed. £40 for the meal for 4, was left really disappointed and one person ending up putting a frozen pizza in the oven (probably had the best dish anyway) Avoid.

Rossi's Original is a popular chippy known for its great food and service. The fish and chips are well-portioned, with fresh-tasting food and a variety of options including vegetarian choices. The place is clean, tidy, and offers good parking. However, it can get busy during match days at the nearby Liberty stadium.
Fish and Chips was plentiful and tasted lovely. The dessert 🍨 are in the freezer out front to choose from, Put into a glass dish with cream on.

Absolutely awful jus bought large chips two battered sausages one normal sausage and two rissoles. What absolute rubbish if we hadn’t of took it home I would have come back for a refund… the chips were stale and woody and for a large the portion was wrong as literally not enough to get round 3 people - the battered sausages were chewy. Clearly Rossi’s have new owners but you definitely will run the name into the ground.
Kath A — Google review
Absolutely disgusting pie and chips I'm sorry to say! The pie wasn't cooked! raw pastry!and the chips were squashed and not fresh. Also the batter on the sausage is chewy not crispy. I'll be taking the pie back tomorrow. My meal wasn't cheap over £10 So disappointed. I've just been reading the reviews!! How can they still be getting it wrong. Took the food back They apologised and offered me a replacement meal.

Nice food but tiny potions, order a large fish chips and jumbo sausage and tates good but the smallest potion of chips, quite disappointed
Lauren T — Google review
Called in for a quick takeaway to eat before our journey home from visiting the area. Service with a smile it was not…made to feel like an inconvenience for ordering. Fish was awful and like it had been warmed up from yesterday. Chips…mostly soggy scrumps; I like scrumps but have never been served them soggy before…curry sauce like water. The only redeeming factor was the bread roll tasted like a bread roll.
Tara M — Google review
Have enough for 4 of us. Fish and chips was great. But it was our first time visiting and no menus in site all screens was off so had to ask about it very item and price.
Todd H — Google review
A great visit all round and the only thing stopping a 5 star review is the fact the fish had the skin on and was over cooked, meaning the skin side was so chewy. I’ve just realised now they also forgot my mushy peas. However the bread was lovely and the chips and onion rings were great too. Good service given the busy environment. Clean and tidy place with good parking. Great coffee and dandelion and burdock. Please remove the skin and double check the whole order before sending the food away. Thanks.
Matty S — Google review
Simply the best fish and chip shop in Swansea, if not South Wales! Crispy batter, soft flakey white fish, perfectly cooked chips all well drained of any oil. The only negative is the cheap spread they use on their butter, so we just avoid that because their fish, chips and mushy peas can't be beaten!

Johnnies is a classic fish and chip shop that offers some of the best fish and chips around. Visitors have raved about the fresh, melt-in-your-mouth fish, perfectly crisp chips, and delicious curry sauce. The generous portion sizes and friendly service make it a top choice for families. Additionally, the staff's willingness to accommodate dietary preferences, such as offering halal options, has left a positive impression on many customers.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in a while. Huge portion of cod, which was lovely and crispy with big white chunks inside. Lovely chips too, cooked just perfectly. You can really tell the places who use good quality ingredients and cooking oil. It really makes a difference in the food. Everything was cooked fresh to order too.
Emma G — Google review
Cracking fish and chips. No plaice because not enough demand but I had a cod bite (small piece) and OH had haddock and chips. Believe the reviews, one portion of chips is an entire box and more than enough for 2 people! Lovely crisp batter, no white pappy flour underneath, just thin and crispy. Piping hot fresh fish, lovely chips and a portion of mushy peas (one pot enough for two). Super friendly and welcoming team, highly recommended! We sat outside, 3 tables seating roughly 2-4 each.

A very nice little chippie nestled done the backs Street of Mumbles. It was very busy when we arrived. They didn't have much in the cabinets so I was expecting to be told we out. The reason for empty cabinets was its cook fresh. I ordered a kids meal and a battered sausage and chips. The battered sausage was one of the best I had. Fresh batter makes such a difference, this was so clearly fresh. Wonder chips stayed warm to the last chip. The kids meal came with a cup drink which was nice. Glad Im only visiting the area, or it might find my self here too often. Friendly and speedy staff, great job.

Very friendly. HUGE portions of chips. I made the mistake of ordered 2 portions of chips. When I saw how big they were he very kindly just gave me one and refunded the money. I don’t think I’ve ever had fish and chip shop chips that had no grease on them. Lovely. Fish also amazing. Highly recommended

Just picked up a takeaway from Johnnies after a long time and what can I say, just WOW! The lady serving greeted me instantly as I walked in despite being busy packing. The owner also came out to say hi and chat whilst working. The lunch time fish cake, curry sauce and chips deal is great value for money. We also had a cod and it was sublime in quality and taste! Generous portions, excellent quality and friendly service. Really reminded me of the classic fish and chips! Thanks guys!

I was planning to visit the neighboring establishment based on reviews, but unfortunately, it closed unexpectedly early. It seems that some people may have had negative experiences there, but I personally found Captains Table to be a satisfactory fish and chips takeaway. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. This delightful chip shop is located conveniently along Port Eynon's coastal front. The chips were tasty and the sausage covered in batter had a delightful crispy texture.
Fantastic fish and chips! Travelled from oxwich bay after given some advice this was very good value and the chips were absolutely stunning! Not bad value for money at all and super portions too!!! Would 100% go back.

Just paid £31 for 2 barely cooked portions of cod, small chips sold as large, 2 small sausages. Cod has almost no batter, the little batter there is soggy and undercooked, and all food is cold. Hardly any queue but still had to wait 20 mins to be served. Very disappointed, won’t be returning.
Leah B — Google review
Just had a disappointing chippy from this place. Paid for a large chips and two jumbo sausages. Chip portion given was quite small as you can see in the picture. Considering the higher prices charged you’d expect a decent portion. Very greasy as well
Daniel G — Google review
We visited last year, and although extortionate (over £90 for 5 adults and two kids) the fish and chips were great. Just visited today after an afternoon on the beach, other peoples food outside looked good, as it did last year so we thought bugger it, we will have a treat. Ordered our food and asked for it wrapped as our car park time was about to run out, drove 10 mins down the road found a place to stop and eat, first of all we discovered one portion of chips completely missing, the rest were a shambles. The portions of fish were barely bigger than a fish finger and the batter a soggy and partially non existent mess. (See photos taken as the food looked when it was unwrapped and not touched, the tray was the kids portion) So disappointing to have such a rubbish experience for the last meal of our holiday. Won’t be coming back next year!! Feel like we have been slightly taken the Mickey out of and also conned!
Kara G — Google review
Nice little chippy at a nice remote seaside town on the Gower, serving delicious fish and chips. Wait times aren't too long, and sitting outside you get to eat in beautiful surroundings and enjoy the fresh sea air. We found the portions to be bigger than some of the negative reviews say. However the queues can be long when busy as they are slow to take orders, at one point I had to wait around 8-10 minutes just to purchase a bottle of water.
Pingu P — Google review
Portion of both the fish and chips, although cooked perfectly well, was more like a child's portion for adult cost. Worst value for money we've ever had. Terrible to overcharge hard workers on holiday this amount and won't be returning to this establishment.
Dirk W — Google review
Sadly another holiday chippy, ripping the tourist off. But what they didn't realise is we live locally and would certainly NOT return or Recommend to our friends and family 😡😡. Service was ok, but the greasy excuse of a meal was disgusting. My husband had cod bites and chips, the chips were white and soft and the cod bites were soggy with no crispiness whatsoever and dripping with grease, I had chips and curry sauce, the chips were the same as my husband's and the curry sauce was watery and tasteless . We asked for salt and vinegar on both, but neither meals had either 🤬🤬 completely tasteless!!! At £16.70 the meal wasn't cheap but a total rip off. Captains Table you really need to up your game.

The quality of the food is consistently high, with large, fresh pieces of fish that exceed expectations.
A great local chippy run by a lovely family who welcomed us (and our dogs) in this afternoon. Fish chips and scampi all made fresh to order. Crispy chips and flakey fish. Great portions and piping hot. They even put water and a sausage out for the dogs. Don’t skip this place.

Wow!! Best fish and chips ever! I was told that when I get to the UK, I should definitely try fish and chips. This was my second time having it in the UK, and I found the best fish and chips restaurant ever! The fish was giant, fresh, and so meaty. The batter was perfectly crispy, encasing the fish in a golden crust that made each bite a delight. And you know what? The fish should go with the curry sauce—it tastes so good! The curry sauce added a unique and delicious twist that I wasn’t expecting. The chips were so crisp and delicious, perfectly complementing the fish. They were thick-cut and fried to perfection! The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re ever in the UK, especially Swansea, this place is a must-visit for an authentic and unforgettable fish and chips experience! Simple yet best!

I haven't been here for a while but went back in last week to get large chips and curry sauce. What really disappointed me was the fact that the pots of curry sauce have shrunk in size and now there's hardly enough curry to cover the chips. It's not cheap either at nearly £7. How much does it cost the business to give you a bit more curry sauce. Come on guys you got to do better than that.

Called in on our way back home from visiting the Mumbles for the day. Thetford was amazing, I've never seen so many chips in a portion. The fish was beautiful! The staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. It is a busy place and there were a few tables inside, but also tables and benches on the grass bank opposite, so we sat there in the last of the days sun. Definitely go there again!!
